6:39 am

idiot

6:42 am

O5/14 and O4/4. Think it is a bit early for second letters, esp. for 4-words... don't want to spoil the fun for others.

6:43 am

Guess you miss the rocklike.

6:45 am

Got it -- thanks much sprite!

6:46 am

Always the hardest ones, when they are so close to another word you were proud to find :D

6:48 am

Ha, so very true, sprite -- I should know better than to risk Babble pride by now!

6:49 am

Just glad I am not the only one suffering that particular vice, lol.

7:30 am

I did think about that as i was typing Macadam! Doesn`t help the fact that i`ve just troffed huge bag of cheesy balls!!!!!!!

im nt 12 av a nuva ges

7:30 am

Well yeah about that, it's your typing skills and the things you're coming out with that make me think it.. sorry.

fat bastard

wt ya mean mi typin skills i jst usin txt language cos it quika n ppl my age can understand me

7:32 am

Maybe but a lot of us here are older than you as we have already established and txt speak isn't really how people would normally communicate on here.. or many other places come to think of it. :)

7:32 am

you are 14? People in here aren't your age so text talk isn't appropriate, me thinks

7:33 am

Becky, I'm new to this game but one thing I've found is that we don't communicate like we're usinga mobile phone

erm yer but its so much quika n at scool i write in full enuf so i cba wi it all tym so i fink wel i mite as wel shorten mi txt so i cn sey a lot more in a shirta amount of tym

7:34 am

you won't last long here with language like that Becky

7:34 am

and this seems to be a friendly community so swearing perhaps isn't a good way to attract attention, as I imagine you will probably be ignored

yes i am 14

i didnt swear

wen did i swear

7:35 am

so you consider your 7.:30 comment to be an acceptable way to converse?

dnt ignore me plz

7:36 am

Sorry becky, i really can't be bothered to try and decipher what you mean anymore. It may be easier for you, but its hard work to read.

wtf converse mean

7:36 am

Becky it's a long time since I was 14 (no mobiles then either). It's great you are trying but one thing you should keep in mind is to talk the language of the rest of the "community" -then you'll be taken more seriously

7:37 am

Dr God please get rid of this imbecile

7:37 am

Coverse.. conversation, a way of communicating.. i really can't believe you didn't know that.

7:37 am

converse = to engage in a spoken exchange. Anyway I am here to play, so back to the puzzle for me

7:38 am

Hi all, don't you think the only way to treat becky is to ignore her she is a waste of time really

ok then i will type in full and then maybe you all can understand me better, and i will not swear because it is nt necessary and i am extremely sorry if i have affended anybody but i am really not a horrible person and although i seem very thick on here i am really not and i am actually quite clever. So i am sorry again for swearing and i will not any longer.

7:39 am

DR GOD please don`t rest on the 7th day

7:40 am

Becky - ok, but it is actually offend.. just in case it ever comes up in a puzzle and you don't realise lol.

7:41 am

I can see your point of view mu but perhaps Becky is not used to this type of community, so if we explain then she is informed, what she does with that information is up to her.

I am not thick i have just said that but i really didn't know what it mean i coulf of worked it out but i thought it would be easier just to ask and it has actually really hurt me that u are calling me things like an imbecile and telling evryone to ignore me when non of you know me because im sure if you did you woiuldnt think of me in sure a terrible way

ok then offend i apologise

7:42 am

lets just wipe the slate clean and move on, if you need help with the puzzle just ask for help Becky

7:43 am

It must be Sunday night fever - got 3 g4/5 - can anyone give me the 2nd letter of the 4th, i've got ge4 5 gi4 5 gi4 5

any im off now to lay on my bed and cry

7:43 am

moozey you are right of course and perhaps now she will get on with the game and let everyone else do the same. I just got sidetracked with her chat and as it's a long time since I had young ones lost patience

7:44 am

i've got gi4 x 5

7:45 am

tks Uneaixoise - found it

7:45 am

Another gi4/5

see why are nearly all of you ignoring me lottijw sound like a freak who needs get a life n stop saying evil things when they aren't necessary

7:47 am

Becky, just chill out and carry on with the puzzle.. nobody hates you on here, if you type so we can all understand we will all help you but i don't think anyone is really here for mass conversations.. at least not until they have all the words anyway lol. :-)

7:47 am

we are not ignoring you Becky, we are here to play a game. If you need to go and cry on your bed then that is what you have to do. You offended people but are not happy when they offend you. Its a cruel world

i am sory but beacuse i am younger than you all you are all treating me like im about 5 year old n making out that im useless and thick and cant doi anything right just because i ask for help with the game and because i didnt know what 1 word ment !!

7:48 am

Some people play games in order to challenge themselves. Others play games as a means of social interaction. Some of each group have trouble understanding others in the other group.

7:50 am

this is all seeming a bit harsh. to change the subject, does anyone have a list of the e words please?

7:50 am

we all have problems with the puzzle, if it wasn't challenging there would be no point in playing. If you are struggling then ask for help but be specific eg need help on ei7/40 (which for the record I could do with help on) just saying I need help doesn't help us to help you because where do we begin as we have no idea what words you currently have. Confused you will be :o)

7:51 am

e4/5 , e5/12 x2 , e7/40 , e5/16 , e6/18 , e6/21.

7:51 am

Becky - if you want people to think well of you, you could think about changing your behaviour. zoom - the e's ed 5 12 ed 4 5 ei 7 40 el 5 12 el 6 21 en 5 16 et 6 18 Becky - if you're still there - may be you could give these a go :)

7:53 am

Great bio Sherb.

7:53 am

thnx macadam and sherb!

7:54 am

thanks macadam - I really can't remember what I did with my time before Babble lol

7:55 am

I'm thinking sherb you had a life because if you are anything like me Babble seems to have taken over

7:57 am

Hi guys! Just logged on and been checking out the messages- looks like someone threw their toys a bit!

7:58 am

I usually work long hours, but it's quieter over the summer, and I've had some time off over the last few weeks. Back to work tomorrow, so Babble limited to evenings and weekends :(

8:00 am

i want to type in 'olive'... lol

8:01 am

cathy - I know what you mean, I want to type in identity (would be 60 points!) :)

8:02 am

Cathy,If it makes you feel better why not give it a whirl,

8:02 am

LOL

8:06 am

sherb & cathy, know what you mean & once you've 'seen' them, it's hard to get them out of your head.

why whats wrong with my behaviour ive apologised loads for all of that

8:06 am

Has anyone got a clue for ei 7/40 please?

8:07 am

it would only make me feel better NOT to get that red 'oops' bar after I typed it!!! lol.... that can be crushing!!

8:07 am

Becky.. let it go, chill out. :-)

8:07 am

I try them anyways. sometimes there's an alternate path I didn't see before (though I don't know if alternate is the right word, since the first path wasn't actually a path)

8:08 am

I'm confused by this stats grid... I just inputted a word for imbecile from the bottom row appropriate letter ... it only has one possible word from it... I can't see why it hasn't blanked it as I can't build the word anywhere else!!! unless I missed something of course ?!

8:08 am

Claire - has the id4/5 in it no def given, but will look it up elsewhere :)

8:08 am

becky, nothing is wrong. everyone has moved on.

and excuse me not too long ago you were having a go at me for shorteneing my words and now everyone is saying 'LOL' which is an abbreviation of 'laugh out loud' and when i was shortening my words e.g. y-why and you- u i was been ignored and called an imbocile!!

8:09 am

claire dc, can't offer a clue for the ei7 - i'd not heard the word before but found it using the a2z wordfinder

8:09 am

ginger- the imbecile can be made in two ways, one has an extension

8:10 am

oh thanks trif... any clue for the word that DOES belong there then???

8:10 am

Thanks sherb and zoom.. i'll have a look into it more now. :-)

8:10 am

becky... you made your point... how about just chilling out and playing? it'll be easier!

8:11 am

duh sorry trif... just read your post properley .. found it ;)

o yes and i was considered as a waste of time by 'mu'

yes well i am right you areonly been like this with me because i am younger than you all

8:12 am

BECKY, JUST LET IT DROP.. FOR GODS SAKE!! It's like listening to a stuck record. Everyone has moved on, you should too.

8:12 am

has anyone posted a clue for the 8 letter... was that So?? if so is there a clue please?

you were all my age once you no how would you like it if you had been treated like i have and i am sure when i get to all your ages i will not b cruel to mi younger generation as you are all being to me !!

8:13 am

Becky, NOW you are a waste of time. kthxbye

yes well i want to get my point across

8:14 am

ginger - i8 - there was a couple of clues relly early on.

8:14 am

hmm... i wonder if we can send a message when someone is being a nuisance? becky... if you want to play, please play... let's move on, for goodness sake.

8:14 am

I really don't think anyone is bothered about your point anymore becky so either let it drop or shut up altogether as you're making the more important posts drop further down.

8:15 am

I have seen 3 kids past your age Becky and I have 3 more.... I would be supervising them on the net and would be horrified if they behaved as you are doing. You are inviting negative attention.

8:15 am

GingerUK - in8/60 to win over by coaxing, flattery or artful talk. Maybe Becky could give this a go :)

8:15 am

you want to get a point across, even though you are totally unwilling to hear a point? Nobody cares about your age. it's your behavior.

8:16 am

Sherb I doubt it!!

8:16 am

thanks Sherb ;)

8:16 am

LOL

8:17 am

I wish I'd stop double posting

8:17 am

mrk - it doesn't show on the main screen just at your end only

8:17 am

mrk you may see double posts your end but I am not seeing them this end

8:18 am

mrk- try refreshing as you are only showing up more than once on your own screen :)

8:18 am

That's good. thanks guys.

omg y wud u b supervisinthem on the net giv em sum space and i dont c wat is wrong with my behavior i am nt hurting any 1

8:18 am

lol having said that Moosey's posting is showing twice!!!!

8:19 am

yes supervision... ie knowing what they are up to not sitting alongside and holding hands!!!

8:19 am

looking at the timings it seems to happen when several of us post at the same time

8:20 am

Dr God.. please can there be an ignore button added, i think it would be invaluble. :-) I got the 8 word now too thanks for the clue.

8:20 am

ClaireDC - I am so with you on that

8:21 am

Here here

8:21 am

Refreshing may fix the double posting problem

hahaha ok im rolin on floor laughin ive ad evuf of trying to say sorry wen u cba 2 listen 2 me so i bludi wont both ano more ill jst b wat im usually lyk.....me

8:22 am

I wish that refreshing would fix the becky problem too haha.

8:22 am

Just guessing here, but I think we're being trolled by an adult with an extremely odd sense of humor. The act's just a bit too perfect. Let's ignore it and pray it either ceases or that Dr. God arrives on a white horse soon.

8:23 am

I can't find the i8, even though I've found 3 different ways to make the smaller version

8:23 am

another way for now is not to interact or respond at all

8:23 am

Becky.. please shut up, for the love of god. You really do show your age, you said sorry and that's fine but you wouldn't let it drop and that is why you became even more annoying. Play the game and hush up. :-)

8:24 am

was thinking the same mellisamay, you posted it better than I could have too!

8:24 am

Thank you FMitch

i dunt believe in god sori

8:24 am

mrk, start at the boyyom right and go up 3 i8/60

lottijw Just got one but its not working yet.

8:26 am

wait, the smaller version means imbecile, right? the three i5s i've found that means that don't start on the bottom right.

8:27 am

mrk - you're on the wrong track, it's not related to any other words :(

8:28 am

Cali - have you found the so9 one?

8:28 am

Sorry to ask for information that has only recently been posted but someone posted a website a short while ago that they use for finding words. Would you please be able to repeat this for me as I can't seem to find the message again in all Becky's inane ramblings. Thanks for your help.

8:28 am

oh, thanks sherb

8:28 am

Yep, found that one. Looking for the in one now....

8:37 am

8:45 am

I don't have it yet

8:46 am

8:47 am

Thank you I'll do that...

8:50 am

I found it!!! Thank you Moozey

8:50 am

the clue most use is to coax flatter but I really struggled with that one to be honest. Another clue is to lure by false representations or other deceit

8:50 am

you are welcome

8:51 am

are you there snowyowl

8:56 am

thanks for the i8 clue - silly question but can't see the i4/4. What's the 2nd letter?

9:17 am

e6,to carry away to a distance.

9:18 am

9:18 am

yeah, that 'carry away to a distance' is the bit i need simplifying macadam! is it possible?

9:19 am

Thanx Anj for the or4/4

9:20 am

Good clue Anj.el is a strange word.

9:21 am

9:26 am

9:27 am

Yeah dr god banned animated gifs it says in his logs.

9:27 am

FMitch, that only lasts until the chase becomes frustrating of course lol Moozey, Dr G has put the kybosh on animated gifs

9:27 am

oopps I didn't realise, I best speak to Dr G and see if he wants me to remove this one

9:30 am

Moozey- No worries. The system strips any animation out automatically.

9:30 am

cool, saves me from looking for another image :o)

9:32 am

Dr G.. any chance of an ignore feature? :-)

9:32 am

lol Anj

9:32 am

9:34 am

Thanks Dr God. I always knew you were all-seeing! :)

9:34 am

"My verses don't screw classically, they babble commonly and bluster far too nobly. In winter their lips leap." (Hugo Claus) I need a leaping lips icon!

9:37 am

GingerUK- No tinkering at the moment. Friendly icon?

9:38 am

I've got a sctabble B in my URL but that's been there a while :)

9:39 am

Here you go dazza: --- Word Sizes --- 4 - 98 5 - 67 6 - 28 7 - 4 8 - 1 9 - 1 --- 199 Words Total --- --- 1st Letter Count --- D - 19 E - 7 G - 11 I - 7 L - 17 N - 10 O - 13 Q - 4 R - 12 S - 35 T - 31 V - 10 W - 19 Y - 4

9:39 am

9:40 am

Anjpro- look forward to being fully entertained then :)

9:40 am

Never noticed it before :-O

9:41 am

GingerUK- You might just have a gremlin. Quit your browser and load it back up.

The other y5/18 is the sameas the other but spelt differently

9:49 am

Just got that one right after I asked for hints.

9:49 am

I got 3 of y5/18 and only 1 y6/30 and my little stats bar got gray so ...

9:50 am

10:31 am

Pleased to meet a fellow Arkie. I'm retiring soon and I want to go home......

10:33 am

Redcar! ah, memories of summers on the beach, paddling and admiring the views of the steel works... lol seriously, it's a much underrated area, a real hidden gem...let's keep it that way :)

10:33 am

It's okay Anj, a free imagination is always a good thing! Like today's icon, btw :)

10:35 am

Moozey, Trif, i've got an additional le4/7, lo4/5 and lo5/12 (although i'm having doubts about the lo4.5 - i've got two but I still need one L)

11:18 am

Good morning al -- It really hit me today as I looked at all the UK flags this time of day; the area of total destruction from Katrina on our Gulf coast is about the same sq. miles as the UK --- wiped out --- oh my ..

11:19 am

usually have to wait for films to come out on video, or even tv, these days...tend to fall asleep in the cinema...it's either the long hours I work, or age... :D

11:19 am

Also, my son is heading up to Mobile Alabama and Hattisburg, Mississippi, this week for at least two weeks with his boss and co-worker to start some of the cleanup in a church and two schools ....

11:30 am

Yes, the scope of destruction is almost more than the mind can take in - that's why it helps me to have a comparison for it! Wasn't ever to good at solid geometry!!! I always thought we'd see mass destruction in California from an earthquake --- but this seems even worse than I would have imagined from that. Now it's time to move forward - and pray for mercy!!

12:17 pm

I agree with mitch I could use help on no6/27, please

12:18 pm

Becky, I take offence at your language. There is absolutely no need for swearing or abusive comments in this game . I realise that you are only 14 but immaturity is no excuse for your behaviour today. You were on earlier and being nasty to people and seem to be determined to carry on in the same vein tonight. People come here to play a word game and enjoy themselves, maybe even to escape from "real life" for half an hour........or 4 hours. I personally do not want to listen to the rantings of an abusive 14 year old who thinks that the who world is out to get her or be nasty to her. Play nicely or go away. Feel free to be abusive towards me if you must because I refuse to take any of your rantings personally.

12:18 pm

12:43 pm

calicomo, are you sure about that qu8? I only show a qu7 and Dr_Gods stat only show a single 8 letter word, not 4.

Sl 7 - ,Sl4x4,Sl5x2,Sl6x1 So 18 - ,So4x7,So5x6,So6x3,So7x1,So9x1 St 10 - ,St4x1,St5x3,St6x6

12:49 pm

Wel said Moosey - BrandyJack - know it's time for me to go when I have seen you on line first thing and you are now back. Have fun all and I guess I will see you in the morning :)

12:49 pm

thank you brandyjack, at least i know what i can't see now(?!)

12:50 pm

While I have the stats, still looking for the most of the words myself. Only 73 so far.

12:50 pm

bye FMitch

12:50 pm

I have 105/1282 and I'm seeing words that aren't there.

12:52 pm

Night Moosey

12:52 pm

Aah, brandyjack, another shattered illusion. I pictured you logging on, cracking your knuckles and finding all the words in about an hour and a half!

12:54 pm

Well, my stat generator does use the complete list of words so technically your are correct. I'm just too stubborn to look at the list. Not going to let a silly program outsmart me. Especially one that I wrote..

12:56 pm

Good for you brandyjack! I would have to peek after a few hours though-lol! Do you give the list to someone else 'til you've finished?

12:56 pm

Besides, my eyesight is so bad I've only just now figured out what your buddy icon is. All I could see was golden flames before.... You would think that after looking at a grid full of upside down, backwards and sidways words that I'd be able to distinguish waht it was.....

12:58 pm

I'm anxious chocolate eating now - this is not a good sign. I'll be on the wine next...can anyone help me with the last V before I check into Babble rehab! I've got: ve 4/7 x 3 ve 5/16 ve 4/8 ve 5/18 vo 5/16 vo 4/7 vo 5/18

12:59 pm

as for the list, no it's on my hard drive. I can see the filename, I just don't open it. no point. It's the chase that counts. I no longer dedicate the hours necessary to finish the big puzzles, but some of the smaller ones I do. I do however have the complete 2nd letter list open and visible which makes solving them that much easier. Allows the infinite monkeys methodology a chance of success. Although my dyslexic fingers cuase more grief...

1:00 pm

Ve 6 - ,Ve4x4,Ve5x2 Vo 4 - ,Vo4x2,Vo5x2

1:00 pm

Brandyjack- lol! I think it might be the grid to blame, it certainly does odd things to my eyes after a while :)

1:02 pm

well, off to buy some futon and mattress covers....

1:02 pm

Cheers brandyjack, see you later :)

1:03 pm

...oh no. Do I have to be anxious to eat chocolate now?

1:04 pm

Thanks Brandyjack - got it. Is it just me or are the little words the worst to find?

1:04 pm

No, but you do have to share!

1:06 pm

I can e-mail you a Texan Lo ;)

1:06 pm

Have no idea what a Texan is :(

1:07 pm

Anj - any excuse will do for chocolate eating!

1:07 pm

finally... getting to start

1:09 pm

Lo, it sure is a mighty chew :D If you've only been over here a couple of years that probably won't mean anything (or then again, it might...) as they've been out of production for years. Rowntree have just done a limited run again tho' :) :) :)

1:10 pm

I thought it was a Yorkie that was a mightly chew, or am I getting my chocolate bars mixed up?

1:11 pm

hkw31 - good speech. Ah, I see it's chocolate past 7 :)

1:11 pm

Thanks Anj. We get a Tex Bar in SA. Sort of like wafer and aero chocolate, anything like that?

1:11 pm

wish i could get my hands on a raisin and biscuit yorkie right now..... lol

1:13 pm

I'll nip out to the corner shop, get one and email it to you cathy, if you can track me down some biltong :)

1:13 pm

Lo, bit firmer, with no crunchy bits. They used to be real teeth pullers in the old days. Sherb, Yorkie is not for girls, apparently. Don't know which ad genius thought THAT one up lol.

1:14 pm

why, thank you very much, lola! now... if only i knew what a biltong is?!

1:14 pm

Lo do you but biltong over here?

1:14 pm

ahem.... HIGHLY dispute that comment, anj!!! lol...

1:14 pm

I meant buy!

1:16 pm

lola - think you can get biltong in Chobham Surrey Shop there.

1:16 pm

Biltong is a cured meat delicacy from south africa! No Anj, don't see it in many of the shops here.....lol! Also am very fussy about my billies- must be dry and have a good flavour.

1:16 pm

been staring and staring at this thing, and only just got the 'loo' word!

1:17 pm

lola... is it a bit like jerky?

1:17 pm

Cathy, you are brilliant! Hadn't seen that. Yorkie on it's way.....lol!

1:18 pm

lol... very easy to get a yorkie around here!

1:18 pm

Cathy- I think so but I've never eaten jerky, so not sure :)

1:19 pm

ohh -and me Carhy - ta. You can get Biltong at our local market, can't stand the stuff myself though.

1:19 pm

Cathy, i've got a big one in my fridge :) Hey Lola, check this out: http://www.sanza.co.uk/apps/shop/index.asp?m_id=3 I was hunting Cherry Ripes one afternoon and stumbled across this.

1:20 pm

i have never eaten it either... but it is seasoned and dried meat, generally beef or turkey, and looks like leather to me!

1:21 pm

if it's in your fridge, then it's BEING WASTED!

1:22 pm

...i'm cross-breeding it with a twirl, a cherry ripe and a king size kit kat :)

1:22 pm

Anj - you have a big one in the fridge - Cathy and I are speechless I think

1:22 pm

Cherry Ripes! If ONLY we had those in the UK!

1:23 pm

Well folks, 1789 for 146 and I am calling it a day, off to a BBQ instead. Good luck to all those babbling on through the night...

1:24 pm

Can I get a clue for the ei7? Please!!!

1:24 pm

Anj- thanks for that! Might do some shopping later, although it does make me feel a little homesick :'( Now, about the big one in your fridge.....

1:24 pm

hkw - have fun Atalante, check out the link in my 1:19 post Fmitch - cold shower, now!

1:25 pm

1:26 pm

1:26 pm

I just want to be able to walk into a shop and buy them whenever I want!!

1:27 pm

mickie, the ei7 sounds like someone who is a big fan of Billy with the sneer (ex Gen X, Rebel Yell 'n' all that)

1:28 pm

ron, it's an inv8 (to lure, maybe deceive) and an sol9 (monologue)

1:29 pm

S9/96 = dramatic speech intended to give the illusion of unspoken reflections

1:30 pm

Mary 0r 4/4

1:31 pm

Got the last O, it's an OR4/4, staring me right in the face.

1:31 pm

1:58 pm

2:27 pm

yes

2:28 pm

Thank you, brandyjack :)

2:29 pm

Thank you Brandyjack

2:30 pm

Could anyone tell me why this puzzle won`t take gilet!!!!!!!

2:31 pm

Because it's spelt with 2 L's. Howzit!

2:31 pm

it wont take ciel either

2:32 pm

It`s spelt with one l,in the dictionary.

2:32 pm

spell it right. Ceil 'i' before 'e' except after 'c' unless it's an 'a'

2:33 pm

Aah. No idea then!

2:33 pm

ron, put a Y on the end of it :)

2:34 pm

not according to scrabble australian no 4

2:35 pm

as for gilet (another name for a jacket), it looks to be a recent import from either italian or french. Hasn't been used long enough to be accepted in the english directory.

2:35 pm

i've had my gilet for a couple of years!

2:35 pm

this game uses the Enable dictionary which might be different from all the scrabble dictionaries.

2:36 pm

And all this time I've been wearing a gillet! My spelling is so bad I'm surprised I ever find any words - lol!

2:37 pm

...unless of course you also have wi5/18 associated with a certain coyote & Acme...which uses the same letters but won't like the Y, no siree... The wi5/18 root sounds like free-w..... as on trundle along in neutral :)

2:37 pm

any excuse to corrupt the real English language

2:41 pm

Just to let everyone know - I took care of a little problem a few of you had with a certain someone this morning, and there should hopefully be no more problems in the future regarding that certain someone. ;)

2:41 pm

and which one do you consider the 'real' english language? Chaucerian, Shakespearean, Victorian, British, Canadian, American or Australian? Want an exercise in bafflement? Try reading a 400 year old cookbook. I'm glad those people knew how to cook, because they were useless at writing.

2:44 pm

brandyjack - Thanks for that list. I finally finished.

2:44 pm

Thanks Dr God, she was giving me a headache!

2:44 pm

aaahhaaa read the v as an s

2:45 pm

Thanks, Dr God!!!

2:46 pm

Thanks Dr God thats a relief!!!!xxxx :)

2:47 pm

Brandyjack - isn't it gillet??

2:47 pm

400 year old cookbook? Sounds like 'The Joye of Snackes' if I remember my Pratchett :) Certain someone?? Has the redoubtable Becky been at the message log again??

2:49 pm

Anj- she got even worse.... if that's possible. Was really quite offensive. Yeuch :(

2:50 pm

I bear growled at her....

2:50 pm

Chris, not that i've seen. I googled it and it came up that way. Had to look a bit to find one that wasn't capitalised which would have invalidated it. Something like Tillie's and Kleenex which are a trademark and always capitalised. Could be a similar situation here.

2:54 pm

lets hope she doesn't come back under another name or even worse she brings her friends

2:54 pm

i,ve had it, time for some R and R got 3/5ths great to have joined in the banter even if l am a died in the wool english man .if you are in Vancouver Brandyjack loved your city and surroundings

2:55 pm

telic should be allowed too - but maybe thats too scientific for enable!

2:55 pm

or should I say m8's LOL Thank you Dr God

2:55 pm

p.s. and lilo!

2:56 pm

roncook, other side of the continent for me. Well, sorta. down in the middle of the great lakes actually.

2:58 pm

Moozey, you and Ginger had my sides splitting with your comments back to her! I couldn`t get any words for laughing. Thanks it made good comedy reading:)

3:03 pm

I`m glad about that. Some people make this site all the more worthwhile :)

3:03 pm

Whoops, had an attack of real world for a few minutes there... Bear growled huh? Excuse me folks, while I take a little paddle back through the posts...

3:04 pm

lotti- don't think I'd play as much as I do if it wasn't for the chat log. It's a great place for a giggle :)

3:05 pm

Help! Stuck for one word only, an NE6, have the birthmark one. Can't see the other for looking, a clue would be much appreciated.

3:06 pm

<yawn> Snoozy Doogle awoke at 3:00 this afternoon and therefore missed this morning's excitement in the chat log. What happened??

3:06 pm

Yeah thats true! Although it`s my mothers fault i`m an addict:)

3:07 pm

ne6/18 wrestling or the Admiral at Jutland.

3:07 pm

Hi zade, long time no see! The other ne6 is your famous sea captain (no, not brandyjack!) :)

3:09 pm

many thanks Brandyjack and Lola100, i must be blind!!

3:09 pm

Atalanta - the T word you mentioned is an acceptable word. Doogle you missed someone throwing their toys out of their pram, literally

3:11 pm

Doogle- check out the logs at around 11:45 (I think) if you want to see what all the nonsense was about :)

3:12 pm

Battle Royale this afternoon I see :) At least the rest of us in this little corner of cyberspace get along like one happy family... So who's turn is it to do the washing up?? lol :D

3:13 pm

no washing up in this game, just washing out....

3:14 pm

Yes, I've just finished checking out that scintilating repartee. Glad I missed it!

3:14 pm

get fish and chips...no washing up...MMMM

3:15 pm

Hey Bear, i'm going to see Steve Forbert at the Folk House next Sunday.

3:15 pm

Good idea tbear, but none of those yukky mushy peas for me, thanks!

3:16 pm

hmmm, fish and chips. didn't know there was a non-greasy kind.... In which case, what's the point?

3:17 pm

Brandyjack...you eat them wrapped in paper straight from the chippy

3:17 pm

Fish & Chips always taste better when wrapped in newspaper. I think that's some archaic bylaw in this country :)

3:17 pm

no mushy peas...just mayo for the chips

3:18 pm

Oh no! Just salt and vinegar on mine please :)

3:19 pm

What kinda musak Anj..might join you

3:19 pm

What about chippe sauce??? Or is that just a scottish thing? OK then, gravy at least :)

3:19 pm

the crispy bits are the best

3:19 pm

i don't think vegetable ink counts as your daily servings of vegetables. We do have a restaurant here in town called Britannia that deos make the most dwonderful fish and chips, and yes, they do wrap them in newspapers. Have to spend the extra for the haddock though as it is simple irresistible....

3:21 pm

Brandyjack plaice is the best

3:22 pm

my wife and kids like the mayo on the chips too. I prefer gravy and/or ketchup. And sea salt with malt vinegar... Think that's the end of the pork roast for tonight. Britannia here I come.....

3:22 pm

I love the english cod, but that's because we don't get much of it in SA :)

3:24 pm

I've already had mine...but after talking about it could easily start all over again. Enjoy it Brandyjack

3:24 pm

Noooo, dabs are the best flat fish - more flavour. Haddock is nice but I prefer Pollack when I can find some :)

3:25 pm

Just read all the shenanigans from the earlier chat log. It does make one wonder about some people!

3:25 pm

Do you get kingklip out here?

3:26 pm

Bear, Steve Forbert is a singer-songwriter in the Dylan or Richard Thompson mould. I'm not that well acquainted, but an old friend of mine is and reckons it's worth a visit. Tickets are £15.50

3:26 pm

Yay Zade, you got a little blue handbag (am I the only one who thinks that's what they look like?). Awful, wasn't it?

3:27 pm

lola..I take it that's a fish....No we don't that I know of

3:28 pm

I thought they looked like the legoland boys and girls. Guess handbags just aren't my style.... Besides, the one my wife totes would crack the back of an ogre....

3:29 pm

I just got caught up on the log. Someone's temper tantrum was annoying waste of log space IMHO. AS much as I love all of the improvements, the chat log refreshing every few seconds is driving me NUTS. It made reading the whole log take much longer. Is anyone else annoyed by this? Why can't we refresh ourselves as needed?

3:30 pm

hi Swimmy how are you doing? I've just completed the puzzle and thinking of making a cup of tea

3:30 pm

Beat you by 30 secs there Moozey. Currently enjoying some PGT and (*gasps*) no chocolate :(

3:30 pm

My pink handbag isn't showing? I have 101 words, lots to go yet LOL

3:31 pm

Hi Lola, i could do with a handbag, the amount of junk i carry around. It would have to be Louis Vuitton though, not a lego one!

3:32 pm

swmbo, you have to enable your profile to get it to show. I didn't realise you can click on the handbags...

3:32 pm

At the risk of making a fool of myself yet again tonight I am about to ask for help. I am missing an ro5. I have to displease or disturb (ala becky!) and wandered.

3:32 pm

Swimmy you have to go into profiles and add some details

3:32 pm

Forgot to check Show Profile. Must go look over what I have to see what I need to look for LOL

3:33 pm

the handbags are little head and shoulders of either a girl or a boy depending on your sex. I thought you finished ages ago Anj

3:33 pm

Lola, very similar to your wander one, different end.

3:33 pm

Lola, try another ending to your 'wandered' :)

3:33 pm

Anj, the hints you gave earlier for the wi5's didn't pan out for me. Got a 'for thick people' version?

3:35 pm

Aaah, thanks babe ;)

3:35 pm

haha, I did NOT put my age in as 35. Must go check profile again...

3:35 pm

Oops- babes (plural) ;)

3:36 pm

I'll try: 1) make a bigger gap 2) use, manage - as in power 3) the call of the w...... different spelling Any better??

3:37 pm

can anyone help with a wi5/18? I have one that you can do with a sword.

3:38 pm

Surely you are not THAT old Swimmy??

3:40 pm

I wouldn't want to mislead anyone LOL

3:40 pm

Ginger - do you have the wi5/18 which is I will need to wi.... my skirt if I eat any more Mars bars

3:41 pm

s'ok, got that one now... now to work on the wo's!

3:41 pm

or do you need the wi5 which is Trickery; cunning.

3:42 pm

Thanks Moozey... got them now... any hints for wo's?

3:42 pm

Got to go. Have fun people, and no strops please!

3:43 pm

Ginger, there are 10 of them :) wah ha ha ha ha :')

3:43 pm

which ones are you looking for?

3:44 pm

Bye Zade! Come back soon :)

3:45 pm

ok...back for more brainache

3:45 pm

Thanx Anj...

3:46 pm

wo 4 7 wo 5 16 wo 4 7 wo 4 9

3:46 pm

Woo Cathy - the Yorkies are on ice :)

3:48 pm

I have also had trouble with the birthmark one...

3:49 pm

wo4 will not abbreviated wo4 St John's Wo.. is a herb

3:51 pm

lol anj.... have been sick the last few days so reckon i need some chocolate therapy!

3:51 pm

another wo4 is An unforested rolling plain; a moor. The wo5's are generally plurals

3:51 pm

swmbo, think of a d6 word for empty or lacking (as in d..... of faith) and swop the D for an N :)

3:53 pm

thanks moozey!

3:54 pm

Perfect Anj!!! I was trying to make nevi fit LOL

3:54 pm

so venti is not a valid word....who's going to inform Starbucks?

3:55 pm

As a fairly newcomer, does the list of correct words for each puzzle get published anywhere.

3:56 pm

AMN, if you go to yesterday's puzzle and click on the list of the person who is at the top, all of that day's words will be listed...

3:58 pm

Cathy, I got in a but of a frappe about that one as well ;)

4:01 pm

lol anj.... they just finished running a Green Tea frappe over here... it was excellent but it is, sadly, no more.. :-(

4:04 pm

Sounds nice. There's a Boston Tea Party place in town here that does some weird stuff. I've had both cinnamon and aniseed teas there. You could conceivably poison yourself in there if you were addicted to the leaf lol

4:05 pm

aniseed sounds interesting...not sure how it would be as a tea?

4:05 pm

You guys ever tried rooibos tea?

4:07 pm

Can't say i've had the pleasure Lola

4:08 pm

what is in that, lola?

wont take alternate word for jimmy a lock

4:12 pm

It means red bush and is a tea made from a shrub that grows in SA. You can get it at Tesco and I believe it's quite popular in parts of Europe. Bit of an aquired taste though, but no caffeine.

4:15 pm

No caffeine? But I like sleepless nights, cold sweats & twitching...

4:16 pm

Why do you think I've swapped to coffee since discovering babble?!

4:21 pm

lol...I try to limit myself to one coffee a day but I do met freinds in Starbucks & Cafe Nero and almost always succumb to a white chocolate mocha

4:22 pm

Anj- my real weakness is coca cola. Can drink gallons of the stuff and love it first thing in the morning for breakfast :)

4:23 pm

Hi all! I've read Anj's kind clue for wi6/30 at 1:36 several times and still don't get it -- and I can't tell whether it's because I'm not British or not bright. Any other clues to be had? Thanks in advance!

4:23 pm

oop... dozed off...

4:25 pm

melissamay- sounds like a baby pig :)

4:26 pm

MelissaMay - in Winnie the Pooh there is a little pink character that sounds very much like the wi word you are looking for :o)

4:26 pm

Moozey- great minds?!

4:27 pm

yes lol

4:27 pm

...I did a clue at 1:36??

4:29 pm

An abbreviated head piece with hair on it...

4:29 pm

Oh my! As I suspected, it's "not bright." Moozey and lola, thanks for having great minds. :)

4:30 pm

you did Anj and it was quite a good one actually but of course it it Babble time not local time

4:31 pm

melissamay- lol! You're welcome :)

4:31 pm

Ah...Chocolate sticks you have without 'tea' ;) Sorry, it's been a bit of a choccy crusade today. Think savoury snacks that you get at hatches, matches & dispatches. Also come in marmite and curry flavour in you're in a pub. ...and you should still take off the T :)

4:31 pm

Anj, this is the one I meant: Mary, looks like a wi6/30. Chocolate sticks you have without 'tea' ;) and I thought the second sentence was the clue, so you can imagine my confusion!

4:32 pm

Are there chocolate sticks called that too? I've heard of the marmite (yuck, devil's poo) ones but no chocolate.

4:33 pm

marmite on toast with baked beans and cheese on top..... ohhhhhhhhh yum

4:33 pm

I am SO confused! "Think savoury snacks that you get at hatches, matches & dispatches. Also come in marmite and curry flavour in you're in a pub. ...and you should still take off the T :)"

4:33 pm

the chocolate ones are delish

4:34 pm

Need us to send you some marmite and heinz baked beans too? :)

4:35 pm

They make CHOCOLATE twi6/30's? Must find!

4:35 pm

i have marmite (thanks to visiting family) and i have managed to find myself PROPER baked beans (Heinz vegetarian).... so you are reprieved!!!!

4:35 pm

I'll send you some swimmy so you know what we mean but the wi word add a t in front of it gives you a snack we get over here in the UK made from wheat and is coated in either marmite or curry or (my fav) Worcester Sauce. Please note the T word is not in today's puzzle

4:36 pm

howEVER, chocolate pig-like w/6's without the T sound wonderful!

4:36 pm

...i've created a monster!

4:37 pm

Sorry, should have said t wi6/30. Very excited about my new discovery :)

4:37 pm

ooops my mistake the chocolate ones I was thinking of are called Matchsticks

4:38 pm

Phew!!! I thought it was a hint for a word. Sometimes it is hard to tell the difference beyween hints and jokes *sigh* thanks Moozey.

4:38 pm

i love matchsticks too... we can get them here

4:38 pm

Lola, they are VERY moreish. Even more than mini-eggs. Nibble at your peril :)

4:39 pm

you can't beat choc mini-eggs, I mean they are made of chocolate!!!

4:40 pm

...and covered in a crispy candy shell :)

4:40 pm

Cadbury's creme eggs.......... aaaaaah :)

4:40 pm

How do you eat yours???

4:41 pm

and how do you eat yours?

4:41 pm

LOL

4:41 pm

bite the top off, eat the filling, and then the rest,,, and YUM

4:42 pm

Eat off top of chocolate, lick out creme, eat rest of chocolate. Repeat as necessary, sometimes quite a lot :)

4:43 pm

didn't want to admit to eating more than one.... lol

4:44 pm

Yup, gotta go with Lola on this one. There's no dainty way to eat a creme egg. Besides, they're dangerous when they are only wounded...

4:44 pm

Need help with last Q please, I have the quo4/9 & 2 5/18's.

4:44 pm

Cathy- it's amazing what you'll admit to in a chat log :)

4:45 pm

Jera, it's a qu7/48 - past tense of your first qu5/18 :)

4:45 pm

qu7/48

4:45 pm

Jera, I am missing the same Q I think.

4:46 pm

I think I may quite whilst I'm ahead as Anj seems to post a nano second before me each time LOL

4:46 pm

quit

4:47 pm

ty, Anj, feel better with Q's done!

4:47 pm

Sheesh!!! I had the past tense on but not its root!!!

4:48 pm

I like Kinder Surprizes. Chocolate AND a toy LOL

4:48 pm

That makes a change Moozey. I usually proof read my posts at least 3 times just to ensure I miss at least one typo lol

4:50 pm

Well I shall hit the hay as work beckons on the morrow and it is going to be a very busy day. Nytol

4:50 pm

Just worked out that it is only 113 days 'til we can buy creme eggs based on the fact that they came out on boxing day last year. Will have to track down those other chocolate thingies in the meantime :)

4:50 pm

I am missing a 7 letter word. I have the qu7/48, the ri7/40 and the so7/40. What does the 4th one start with???

4:51 pm

Goodnight moozey :)

4:51 pm

we get creme eggs all year round :o) Anj - cheeky you are obv. a fast reader lol

4:51 pm

'nite, Moozey...

4:51 pm

swm- ei 7

4:51 pm

swmbo- ei7/40

4:51 pm

Swimmy its an ei7

4:52 pm

OH, THAT demned one!!! I have tried to find it, but the hints so far have been as cryptic (to me) as the word itself...

4:53 pm

See, I didn't even got on the podium for that one. What the hell, it's not the winning lol ei7 - but you know that already lol Take care Moozey :)

4:54 pm

Brandy jack where in Canada are you getting those great fish and chips ???

4:55 pm

swm - e then an i4/5 then 2 letters, ends in c

4:55 pm

not cryptic but sorry if that is too obvious.

4:57 pm

Place called Britannia located in Trenton

4:59 pm

I SWEAR I entered that word a long while back!!! Thank you Jax

5:00 pm

good night folks hope tomorrow is less fraught!

5:00 pm

even tho We are on opposite sides of Canada.... we have great fish and chips too

5:01 pm

Blaze, you are in BC, right? Cape Breton here

5:02 pm

Yes I am in rainy BC today

5:02 pm

Right chaps, finished the puzzle and should get some shut-eye. See you all tomorrow :)

5:03 pm

Sunny here today. I am right on the ocean, so we get a lot of breezy days

5:08 pm

Me too. 'Nite Lola. 'NIte everyone...

5:09 pm

swmbo... was toying around with the idea of moving to canada when my work permit is up here in the US.nova scotia really appeals to me - how is life there?

5:09 pm

nitey nite good sleep to you see ya later

5:10 pm

nite anj and lola

5:13 pm

Life is grand here, but it is semi rural so no conveniences/annoynances of the big city. What kind of work do you do?

5:13 pm

i work as a behavior specialist with people with developmental disabilities - i am in pennsylvania atthe moment... love the thought of being back by the sea!

5:24 pm

Good evening/morning/afternoon fellow Babblers. Signing in at 137 words I see it's been a chocolate munching, hair tearing, brain bamboozling day here. Nothing different happening then.:-)

5:24 pm

These words are a struggle today... the phonic words sound great

5:25 pm

Jacula that would be right.... as I head for the chocolate cupboard

5:26 pm

Hi everyone from Atlanta, GA. I've been here off and on today and have almost reached my goal of getting HALF the words! :)

5:28 pm

Cathy 22w, that sounds like a skill that would be easy to find work in around here. If you get closer to a decision, let me know, I will send out feelers etc. for you...

5:29 pm

Blaze - I have a cappuccino choccy bar here - twice the caffeine hit. Shall I send it over?

5:32 pm

evening all ;o)

5:32 pm

Just been looking back a bit at the log. There's an ei7/40? Oh b. hell! 'Lilo' and' 'lilos', and 'twiglet' are not accepted by the fegubrious Babblegrid. Why not??? LOL.

5:33 pm

Evening Bobsta. At least at this time of the night you're not ignoring customers in our top of the range hifi shop. LOL.

5:33 pm

Erm, I meant *Your shop.

5:36 pm

Very true jacula. having to get on late tonight cos i'm on a course for most of next week and i'm not sure if there is a wi-fi connection at the hotel. how are you?

5:36 pm

So is everyone pretending they know what fegubrious means or am I just stupid?? (It's not in my dictionary!)

5:37 pm

nice picci btw

5:37 pm

LOL. It's a word I just inventend. A kind of Jabberwock word. Dunno what it means but I think it describes the Babblegrid.

5:38 pm

naw, it's just another 'f' word.

5:38 pm

i'm with jera on that one!

5:38 pm

Or even just *invented. LOL

5:39 pm

Whew. Of course, with Babble, I deal with lots of words not in my dictionary. It's sad when you can't even cheat right.

5:39 pm

BrandyJack, you know me too well! LOL. Piccy? Well thanks Bobsta. I saw what you said about drinking purple stuff making your hair fall out.:-)

5:39 pm

that would be great, swmbo... i also worked with teenagers with behavioral difficulties before this, if that would help. i would prefer to have a job before applying for a visa - would save my savings getting a bashing!

5:41 pm

It's a nice word though, isn't it (fegubrious)? Shall we invent a proper meaning for it and see if it appears in a new dictionary in about 2-3 years' time?

5:42 pm

That sounds like fun, Jacula! We used to play crazy scrabble in college, where we would invent words from the letters we got. We came up with some doozies (& fooled lots of people)!

5:43 pm

Dear Babble fiends, I'm missing an no4 and 5 -- I have the textile -- may I have a clue?

5:43 pm

Fegubrious: A nice way of saying F****** difficult babble game

5:43 pm

Better be careful Jacula, Becky got dealt with for having a to6/18 mouth......

5:44 pm

lol bobsta.... hey... i have lost count of the times i have typed my chat in the word box!

5:45 pm

A what mouth BJ? My maths on this isn't good.

5:45 pm

2 more words to go! I need a te 5 and a sl 5. Questions - I have 2 te 5/10, can anyone give me a point value for the last te 5? And are both sl 5's, 5/12's? Thanks. Willing to trade....

5:46 pm

it's one of today's words. It's a to 6/ 18

5:48 pm

Gosh - just ask a question and I finally figure them out on my own. Sheesh. Anyone need help before I leave?

5:48 pm

Ah! The place you visit when you first wake up. Got it BJ.

5:49 pm

Struggling to find my last L. please could someone lead me to it. I have Le 6/21 Le 4/4 Le 4/7 Li 4/5 Li 4/5 Li 4/4 x3 Lo 4/5 Lo 4/4x2 Lo 4/7 Lo 5/18 Lo 4 7 tyvm

5:50 pm

Its an lo 5/12. an lo 5 with another letter on the end

5:50 pm

Well Jax - you could post your entire list of words but that might kinda spoil the fun of finding them. A list of v's might be good though.

5:50 pm

I mean a lo 4/5 with another letter on the end

Does anyone happen to know how to prevent the downloading of icons everytime there is a new message posted? I like to vies the messages, but whenever there is a new one - my machine is really slowing down and reloading every icon. Please help - this also affects my playing.

5:51 pm

A list of Ns would help me much if you're offering, Jax. :)

5:52 pm

just clock on 'hide icons' deb

5:52 pm

click, even

5:52 pm

LOL Jacula - Here you are ve 4/7 ve 5/16 ve 4/7 ve 4/8 ve 5/18 ve 4/7 vo 4/8 vo 5/16 vo 4/7 vo 5/18

5:52 pm

I was checking the rankings yesterday (after I became a 'pro' [Oh, LOL, have you any idea over the pond what pic that conjures up to we Brits?]) and found there's a JacKula.

I did - but the icons after the names is where the problem lies....

5:53 pm

Thanks Jax.

5:54 pm

I'm sure there's a hide buddy icons (avatars) thing somewhere.

5:54 pm

Melissamay - your wish is my command. ;o) ne 6/18 ne 6/30 ni 4/4 ni 5/12 no 4/4 no5/10 no 5/16 no 6/27 no 4/7 no 5/16

5:57 pm

hi ferrari - yes he did back around 3 or 4 pm I think

5:58 pm

5:58 pm

Jax thanks for trying to help jax but the only L I can use is on the third row second from the right according to my stats. and I am now ready to concede defeat and go to bed

5:58 pm

thanx jax

5:58 pm

Hi Ferrari. Wedding soon, eh? Yes Jack has done the stats for that.

5:58 pm

Thank you so much, Jax!

I am only looking at the last 50 so it is better - I will search around for something later - right now, I better get busy - I only have 100 words :)

6:00 pm

I'm a typically stubborn Taurean and haven't even tried to use my new-found, paid-for stats on here. I prefer my own way of doing things for now.

6:00 pm

Ferrari - are you on hotmail or MSN? Cos I'd really like to hear about the wedding etc.

6:01 pm

huh mu - then then I was sending you after a different lo I guess...

6:01 pm

Jax I had one last look and (Jeronimo) there it was thanks for your help

6:02 pm

cathy - so 9, a speech given by one person, sometimes in the middle of a play (that is my defination, not a formal one) inv 8 - kinda like to wheedle something out of someone

6:32 pm

6:33 pm

haha..energy..i do that when its NOT late..(am sooooooo glad i am not the only one)(

6:33 pm

high energy... i was just making the same comment earlier!

6:36 pm

Can anyone help me find the v05/18???

6:37 pm

past tense of the vo4/7

6:39 pm

Thanks Brandyjack. I always thought the vo4 was a noun, but apparently it must be a verb too...

6:41 pm

vo5 is a shampoo

6:41 pm

How much is $9.95 in English £ sterling?

6:41 pm

haha, yes that is what I thought too!

6:43 pm

vo4/7 - The winning of all the tricks during the play of one hand, as of bridge; a grand slam. I only knew the rodent definition. I knew that using past tense as the clue would get you the word, whether it was tecnically correct or not. It does appear as though tit is correct.

6:43 pm

errrr..how much IS 9.95 in british sterling?...i have NO idea..sigh..was that a clue?

6:46 pm

5.42 GBP

6:48 pm

Dr God - I might get yelled at for asking... but... would there be any chance of some type of emoticons with the chat at all? something that would convert a :-) to a real one!

6:49 pm

i had to go change my profile..there was something i was hiding from you all (God forbid)

6:51 pm

What were you hiding Lianakate??

6:51 pm

cathy22w- Emoticons, eh? Not a bad idea. I'll think about it. What does everyone else think?

6:51 pm

lianakate, it's still in your profile. lol

6:53 pm

about the synchronized swimming team? geez Gwen..my bad..(heh)

6:54 pm

brandyjack, why is the vo4/7 anything to do with bridge, even the vo4/8 doesn't make sense.

6:54 pm

Hi Gwen!

6:55 pm

Dr_God. Know a chap on Beeb Radio 2 here in UK that could explode this site with members if we tell him about it. He did it for 'Friends Reunited' but, in my mind, and that of the founder members who were there at the start this may not be for the better (for the members). Should we tell him about you or not?

6:55 pm

Hi Swmbo. About to go home, need any cloos?

6:55 pm

that's the primary definition of the vo4/7. I only knew about the rodent myself. I am not a bridge player. Click the word and see what dictionary dot com says about it.

yikes - Emoticons, yes they would be cool - but I am having enough problems with the other icons and the flags after the names. But I will keep working on that when I have some spare time

6:57 pm

Thanks Gwen, but I still need 70 words, I may have to just give up *shrug* I like the shorter games better.

need clues for di6, sl6, te6, and ti6

6:58 pm

I have to go put dang dawgs in pen, ..dont let anyone get in my stats positon..HAHAH

6:59 pm

Jacula- If you have some pull with a radio chap, yank away. ;) We can never have too many players here at Babble.

6:59 pm

brothercaine, ti6, small yellowish moths whose larvae feed on wool or fur

7:00 pm

I prefer the longer games. If I don't finish, at least I'm not sitting around for 5-6 hours bored out of my skull..

7:00 pm

Brother Caine the sl/6 is someone who is averse to cleanliness.

7:01 pm

Well, yes, Dr_God, I can 'yank' (*blushes* but not how the UK follks might take that word!) but it might make you a multi-millionaire and us lot unable to talk to you because you've taken on a whole load of people to run the site for you.:-(

7:01 pm

thanks, i needed that

7:01 pm

I've added a few nifty little links to the order upgrade page that link to current currency convertion (say that ten times fast) rates. So hopefully we won't have any more "how much does it cost?" problems.

7:02 pm

Jacula- I'm a one-man show. I'll always be here. ;)

7:02 pm

Dollars are generally around half and a bit more than £'s sterling.

7:02 pm

7:04 pm

I'd be satisfied being a multi-thousandaire at this point. ;)

7:04 pm

I'll get in touch with the radio guy this week, prob. later today. Still not sure I'm doing the right thing though.

7:05 pm

You do realise it will bring trolls on site as well as many new members don't you, Dr_God?

7:05 pm

Gwen, how DO you get those words??? You can keep the hints rollimg LOL

7:05 pm

More chaps, lasses and blokes is always a good thing.

Thanks Gwen and Snowy; got 'em.

7:07 pm

Jacula- Due to the-one-who-shall-not-be-named this morning, I've built a decent "blacklist" system, so I can handle trolls. ;)

7:07 pm

7:24 pm

Thanx Brothercaine and Jacula! So obvious when pointed out!

7:24 pm

speedfreak - go to 'my pictures' on your computer and find a centralised pic of whatever you want us to see. You can then either shrink it down to 98x98 pixels or let the site do it for you. But, be warned, if you do let the site do it, your pic may end up long and thin.

Babble: asymptotically approaching frustration
