Out of interest - how long do you "high scorers" spend doing these puzzles. I seem to spend ages, but don't get the results !
annevans - have you tried using a2zwordfinder.com - it's a big help. Time spent on each puzzle varies with the number of words, but it can be several hours!

It looks as if your score is more greatly affected by starting but not finishing a puzzle than it is by not registering a score at all for a particular day.

Hi Punster. It's actually run from your first st6/21. My eyes and I are having a bit of a disagreement at the mo... lol Root is the st5 (Iowa, Missouri etc) st6 is the past tense, st8 builds on the past tense and means to happen at the proper time

List of all the words... start with 1st letter so I know, for example, that I have 5 a-words to find in all. So I know when to stop looking!

I have to admit I flit between the two unless I am really doing badly or working on a big puzzles and then I keep a list of all 1st and 2nd letter words in Word
It's my way of organizing the stats... better on paper for me, as Ihave short-term memory problems. If I write it, I remember better than just seeing it.

well for the di's, think of the olympian sport of throwing a stone frisbee. think of the shape of the thing, pluralise it, singularise it, then talk about it until the conversation finally di.. out.....

Dianne, if you've been having connection problems, then you may have had a hiccup i see occasionally, where it doesn't take the word properly. Can be identified by looking for a word with no score. Usually will show twice, once with score, once without. Refresh will straighten it out.
I have that also - I didn't see the point value in Cathy's post - thought she was talking about a 4 letter word. Cathy for the last part of the ce6 think the sound of a "plaything".
