Lozzi, glad to hear you've got some words. Keep looking and reading the clues people give. Do you understand how the score works ? Sometimes knowing the numbers helps you to work out the letters you need to make a particular word.

Nine letter word build on to 5/10 it will not make written sense but will get you the nine letter word

also, if you take the first 3 and last 3 letters of se6/36 as two separate words, it sounds like what you do when you start out or embark on a journey
se6/36 - Good clue sfneil. If that's not clear enough then you could think of it as a compound word (2 or more words put together) and something that you might do to a firework or to begin a journey.

We had a Greek cheese but no 'Stilton'. We weren't allowed to 'naff' or 'laff'. We couldn't go to 'Eton' or watch 'Tenko' with 'Tessie', 'Anton', 'Anne' & 'Offa'. Neither could we ring 'OFTEL' nor view the radiant brow of 'Taliesin'.
oggy, there is an ha7/64, and it's a very peculiar word. Apparently it is scots for "sidelocks", which seem to be the same as either "cheeks" or "sideburns", but i suspect that is little help. The first syllable sounds like what you get if you divide something equally with one other person. The second syllable sounds like a plural diminuitive.

I saw someone bewailing the fact that you can't be 'antless' earlier: 'On woe is me! Where is my ant?' You can't be 'gentless' either (which won't please Mab). LOL. It also seems you can't have less of those pesky little gn4 &5's either, or less of those little kids (to4/4's). You can, however, be bereft of warmth and have no head covering(ha4/7) but you're not allowed to have no handle on your tool or weapon (ha4/10), or to be without cigarettes (the UK slang word for them which means something else entirely in the USA).

I've learned to turn off the icons before trying to read anything beyond the first fifty.....
Mine's bad feedback, I'm sorry to say. Damned thing kept jumping everytime anyone posted, making it impossible to read or to c&p good clues to notepad.

Yes, Jack. I shut the site down and opened it up again to get restarted. Pressing F5 just didn' work. I've also found that the site's natural refresh has slowed down so much that I have to press F5 to see what I've just posted.

Jacula- When you post, it sometimes doesn't automatically show up. It will only show up the next time the chat log auto-updates itself. This can be 10-15 seconds sometimes.
hello all....glad to see that i just needed to refresh, i had no words listed. dr_god since i see that you're on here, the new next to 50 has some glitches, and maybe that is what you're working on. i had trouble this am, and i got rid of the icons, i always do when i open the whole log, but it kept moving when i was trying to read and then i would have to go to the next page sometimes, kinda weird, but i guess something i could get used to...

I see what you guys mean about long (or wide) posts. It's actually caused by loooooooong words (longer than the chat log is wide.) I'll have to do something so that long words like that wrap rather than stick out the right side of the log.
I'm no expert web-site builder, Dr_God, but I think the site's new popularity may mean that you have to separate the chat log and have it on a side bar that we have to click onto. I may be talking absolute twaddle, of course!
Incidentally, the 'wide' thing happens on many message boards and forums if someone goes a bit mad with ???'s or !!!'s or ---- etc.

Baggo - don't you think that the clue giving is one of the most fun parts, after the initial rush of first seeing the grid? People are so inventive and entertaining in the way they give clues. But, like you say, not everyone wants to read that. Having said that, the option to hide the log is there, or you can just presss your middle mouse button and 'WHIZZ'.

You don't understand. The site is made with a client known as EZBoard which has a global database. As in worldwide. SWMBO has NO access to that database, and the owners aren't going to turn over an account with out proof as dictated by their secret questions. All of which I have failed repeatedly.

Well, Mab, the way to do that is to look up the meanings of the weird words you find, my Dad dying of senile dementia certainly taught me the lesson, if I didn't and he didn't know it before (though we both did know it) that keeping you mind jumping is the best way of staying alive.

I even have learned of new music that i had not heard of...boy i love this game..

Debs40ish. I've been married once (for a very long time) and divorced once and alone, bringing up 2 kids for a very long time. Now, I think, I'm 99 and 3 quarters sure, that I've finally found the right man - the guy I used to wonder if he was searching for me, as I went to sleep and wondered about him.
