I don't think so - the real advantage to having Pro, as I use it, is the stats panel, and it's not like we can give that to a non-paying user...

The critical list for me was brandyjack's second letter list. But he doesn't often post it now.
Krys10, do you also find that knowing from which tile you have to start makes it a lot easier? I try to leave the stats panel till last because of that.
I think that 2nd letter list is giving away rather much, especially in the beginning. Never look at it, unless I get really stuck.
Yeah, it's definitely spoiled me - sometimes I print the puzzle out with the stats panel showing and play on paper until the next morning. Usually I don't have the discipline :)

Mab - I know what you mean about Brandyjack's list. I get the puzzle at lunch time and play for a while. Then I try to finish (try being a very big word here) in the morning after I would see his second letter list. I miss that:(
The second letter list is great after you have been at it for more that four hours or you are really stuck.... althoug being a 24 hour game around the world. there is a strong possibiliy that you will spoil it for somebody. I like the second letter post when I am struggling at the end
Krys10: only as a very last resort, actually. If I am stuck on a few last words and I can't get them with all the wonderful clues and help in the log. Always feels a bit like cheating. :)
What is it someone said here once? Using a solver is cheating, everything else is "research" ;)

Madhatter - that's true about the craneflys (ddll's). I had to tip about 30 out of the glass shades on my office lights. They've been driving us nuts this year, dive-bombing us and committing suicide in any liquid they could find, including our drinks.

We are fortunate to have very fertile backyard soil. the pumpkins & squash did marvelously. Just have to be careful as some parts flood & some arts are very shady. Does look very organized, but it takes a lot of planning to make everyone happy!

He will recover fully. He is not yet fully recoverd, but he will be! Fractured his pelvis in two places, major concussion, lots of abrasions and one large laceration over his right eye extending down through the eyebrow into his eyelid. But he is one very lucky young man and he should be fully recovered by Christmas (too bad our bank account won't be! )

Cadfan - so glad to hear he will be okay, My Dad had a young man all battered up, next to him in hospital one time, he formed a close friendship with him for a while. The young man, Neil, looked far worse than my Dad did then, but Dad's now 'gone' and Neil is the fatyhere of 3 kids and has a happy family.
