Yea, Torgone. LOL. At least 2 of 'em! (36 words, so far.No stats yet though.)

Indeed, you do have to, Boreetos.

Morning Ferrari. Have you joined that ez board yet so I can give you my MSN or e-mail addy? Cant see you there?
c7/36
hiya jacula, no not yet but I will do I've got the address
r6/18
Please do, Ferrari. Not checked out if there's private messaging facility there yet, but what the heck!
Hi , everyone! 255, eh? Well, there goes my rating. Can't resist starting, though! Wish me luck...
Hi Neil - good luck! They are coming easy... at least the small words are... so far
Good to hear, Hugabugs, and nice to see you, as always!
Hi sfneil
Hi, ferrari!
No one has yet explained how those ratings work. My other half reckons that the less you play but the better you do, the better you rate, because of averages.
Hi Neil.
d7/32x2
Hi Jacula! I thought that was true at first, but I completed maybe four of the first five puzzles I played, and was in the top ten... I didn't play for a few days, and was suddenly way down on the list! I have no idea how the rankings work, but obviously that doesn't keep me away from the puzzles!
jacula I just lost the wedding day score and went from 992 to 998 and I have finished 30 consecutive grids but there's loads on 998 so they must have done the same
Hi Hugs!
Hi Neil! I can't remember when I started... I think it was sometime in August, and I've completed every grid since I started.
what's wrong with fust?
Dunno how the rankings work, to be honest, I just enjoy the company here.
me too
I imagine it's a function of how many more players there are, and how many more complete the grid (just a guess).
damn! Just tried to type exhaust, but it's not there.
that's too complicated for me
Xmas cakes are baked and house smells wonderful.:-)
how the crap isnt Mufasa a word?! It means King in swahili!!!
Neil - other half included what you just said in his equation. But I'm a word person, not a numbers person.:-(((
They seem to pick and choose what words to use from other languages.
Christmas?!? We're just starting summer here!
can you send me some?
Strt of Autumn here, Neil (in UK). Time to make the cakes and then feed them with brandy & sherry. You can, also, if you like, soak the dried fruit in rum first. I don't do that; makes far too a soggy cake for me.
I bought Christmas cards in Asda yesterday, not ready for it yet either
No, Ferrari! (Sounding stern here!) The cakes will not be ready for eating until December at earliest. Once December comes, you are welcome to come here and sample a slice or two.
Ah, Jacula, you take me bake! We have rumcakes for Christmas where I'm from, though. The Sherry was traditionally hi-jacked by pirates!
um. "take me back"
Would you be one of those pirates, Neil?
Oh, Neil, I know all about the rum-soaked cake. It was what my ex's paternal grandad used to make us all for Christmas.
That Pugwash has a lot to answer for
a6/18 x 4
DATE TO BE PUT IN DIARY - Xmas 2006 - Bablbler's Xmas party at Jacula's?
Hugs, the family lore has it that I'm directly descended from Edward Teach, better known as 'Blackbeard'.
d7/32
Neil - do you try to follow his traits? ;o)
Yay, Neil! That would explain your naughty streak then! \Do you, by any chance, look like Johnny Depp does in Pirates of the Carribean?
a7/28 x 3
Hugs, he was a real a****** from all accounts... it's not something I'm especially proud of!
Neil - Being a pirate... like say Capt. Jack Sparrow could be alluring
oops make that a7/28 x 4
Maybe not, but Depp was such a sweetie! Played it so camp, so gorgeous.
Jacula, I'm afraid you'd besappointed.
"disappointed"! dammit, why am I trying to find words when I can't even type them?
Neill, don't tell me you're like Ben Elton describes the hero os his Past Mortem novel that I just started reading today? 'That ginger shortarse!'? LOL.
hehe... but we do know what you are saying
I kind of like "besappointed", though...
Well... not too short, but the ginger's there, I'm afraid!
Why would you say afraid?
besapointed is a great word! Ginger's okay. Tall is even better, LOL. Just tried Faust in the grid. Seems that even selling your soul to the devil don't make you a winner! LOL.
Hugs, I don't know... always wanted to be tall AND dark, I guess... never would dare aspire to 'handsome', though
Neil - STOP (underlined twice!!!) putting yourself down!
Neil - I agree with Jacula.... so modest and humble!
agreed, Jac! enough about me...
w9/72! Hi all!
WOW! Well done MM
I didn't mean it that way, Neil.
woohoo, melissmay! that'll keep me busy for a while...
and w8/55
w9/72, what's it mean?
I know, Jacula... no worries!
Thanks, Hugs! I thought for sure it'd already be in the log with all you heavy hitters out...
they smell so pretty! and I bet they aren't in bloom in New Orleans right now :o(
MM - I was trying to find it, but couldn't quite see the connections properly.
Hugs, they've been on my mind exactly because of New Orleans...it's probably why I saw them right away. And hi sfneil! Invoke your Southern aunties, they'll help you find your sweet w8/w9...
oh melissmay! I found it and now it's making me cry thinking of my home!
desperate housewives, saw it a while ago but thought it was an e in the middle
MM and Hugs.....thanks for the w 9 I has trouble with the spelling but got it all the same.... love the stuff
Neil - where are you originally from? It seems you've lived everywhere
Hi Blaze... I hadn't seen you positng
my grandmother grew them along her front porch, and jasmine along the back... the aroma in her central hallway was indescribable!
Welcome Blaze...and a warm hug for you, sfneil, and all your aunties.
Hugs just jumped in __ I was busy with the first 61 words.... I had a strange experience last nigth could not sleep and came into finish puzzle....no one was on the chat log for the longest time... it was weird...
Hugs, I was born in North Carolina, but my dad was in the Coast Guard, so we moved all around the country when I was growing up. But every summer we went back to NC to visit my 'Nanny' and my aunts.
Neil - How did you end up in high school at The Hague?
80 words up now. Am a gardener, but haven't a clue about the 'w' word.:-(
Blaze I was there too, I thought noone else was there so kept quiet
jacula-desperate housewives
ferrari isn't it odd though... and I thought no one was there either....
It's not often this site is that quiet.
Gooberoo, it means a 9-letter word starting with W and worth 72 points. If you click on Babble rules above it will show you how words are scored.
Thanks MM!
Jacula, I doubt you have them in the UK... they like lots of sun...trying to think of a clue for you
Now I just have to figure out what it is ;-)
I was actually wondering if I was all alone in the world!
sfneil would they not be on the old cottages....
You're welcome! Enjoy the puzzle --we trade a lot of clues here, and the later it gets in the puzzle, the more explicit the clues get...it really helps!
Hugs, after my dad retired from the Coast Guard, he was attached to the foreign service (he's a naval architect)
Neil we do have them in UK, but sometimes spelt slightly differently :)
jacula are tou still there?
ferrari next time that happens I will knock.... to see if you or anyone is home... it is not good babble fun without the chatters
Neil - got it from your clue but we spell it with another e rather than an a here in UK. Got one in my garden, as has my Mum.
Blaze I will too I'm usually around at that time
Yes, Ferrari, I'm still here, 83 words and counting.xxx
Neil - that must have been quite exciting travelling so much
did anyone else besides Daria find the 4 A7 words? I found only one so far.
Reason I'm so slow today is that I'm doing them on screen rather than on paper! The words, that is.
diane I do not have any a 4/7 words yet... I will though eventually
I've found 3 so far
Jacula, glad you got it! I love them and their fragrance always takes me back home... Do they fare well in your garden? (Where are you in the UK?)
I thought I'd got a d9 but it wo'nt let me have diastolic
I can't find the s7/28 or the c7/36 for the life of me.
c7/36 - think protozoans
hugs one of those goes straight from top to bottom
morning folks.....here for a flying visit before work :) c8/50
Yes, Hugs, and even though San Francisco has been my home for the last 25 years I still love to travel and see new places and meet new people!
Thanks Daria... got it.
Neil - what made you decide on SF?
Daria Thank you...c
Hugabugs - San Fran Neil, maybe??
Jac - I meant what made him decide to settle in SF
Ah, okay
Hugs, just before my dad joined the foreign service and we moved to Holland (which still reigns among my fondest memories), we had been in Marin County (just north of SF over the Golden Gate Bridge) for four years... the longest time I'd spent living anywhere. At that time in my life, it became a kind of anchor for me, I guess, and I went back to Marin to go to college. After that, it seemed only natural to make the move into San Francisco, which I had already fallen in love with... and I've been here ever since!
Hugs: Jaqus is giving a clue for an s6.
my darling hubby has just brought me a boiled egg, a cup of tea and ahot wheat bag for my toes
What was that....???
I had been posting a message back to ferrari...to say it must be love..... when oops the Babble was gone...
Knock Knock any one home ???
Hi Blaze, well that was fun! had to reboot!
Hi Blaze.
I did not reboot... I knew it was a malfunction on the broadcast...
Whew.... diane.... how are you ??
Blaze - I'm good, thanks. Having troubles with the site today.
Diane I think everyone was... it was a system thing not a personal computer thing... (me thinks)
how many words in total today? 203 or 255?
255
Blaze - Did you get the 4th A7? I now have three of them. But the 4th escapes me.
diane I have one a 7/28 it was in a puzzle a few days ago....maybe yesterday..... someone who paints....
that was not a good clue.... sounds like some one has been handcufffed.
Blaze - I think I have the one you have and the other two I have were in puzzles last week (think "cats"). But still no luck on the 4th. Haven't found the C7, D7 or S7 either :(

Blaze - got the D7. Thanks. Can't figure out Daria's clue but still looking. Re: Cats - remember a few days ago all those clues about upity-ups?
diane I will keep looking for a 7 found two more... C7 think of the word pilates
I have those with a , o and e ending can only pluralize one.... then there is one with the t in another place do you have that one
Blaze the A7s I have end in E x2 and S. I'm really confused on the C7 - I do Pilates and can't figure this out. I'll keep hunting.
diane ci 7/36 it sounds like a chemical
I am down to 152 words and will be off till morining now.... have a great puzzle day
Blaze - thanks for the help - got the C7. Have a good night.
morning or evening all!
Hi Spellit. How do you like the grid?
morning all!
mailsort is a word, I think the dictionary is out of touch with the modern world, this could have been such a stimulating puzzle too!!!
Good morning everyone :)
Good morning - it's been very quiet on the chat log so far! I've 111 words done so far but it's time to take the dog out for her/our walk. It's a reasonable grid today. I'll be back later in the hope that some kind soul will have posted second letters.
Morning to you Lola..
Just logged on for an hour or so ..... gave up on yesterday so will try and give this one a go.
hi Lola!
Hey chessy and babbler :)

Alleyn. wi9/72. It's a type of climbing plant that has purple or white flowers :)

hi Anj!
Hi snowyowl :) No, I haven't seen him for a few days now....
Lola - I have it in my garden and have always spelt it wrong. So double thanks.
Hi Anj
morning Anj :)
Hey babe! How you doing this morning?
I've never seen the plants spelled that way, but if the babble gods accept it, so be it.
Alleyn- I always spell it with an e too, think it may just be a variation :)
Alleyn it's spelt with both an e or an a in the middle
Hi Babbler, Lola, Snowy, ferrari :) This one looks like a 6 coffee job to me lol
Ooh good idea Anj..... are you making ;)
os5/10
that sounds t5/16
...of course lol :) The Bean Signal is out@ www.coffeequick.com
for god's sake don't have a boiled egg - see 1.59am
OMG feel really bad now - have only just had my breakfast! - no littlies until tonight.
Right, how's everyone doing with the 7 letter words? I have ar28, ci36 and di32 x 2. Willing to trade clues for the missing four ;)
Only have the ar7 Lo...I can't be in the gang yet :/
Good morning all. Just got to work and had my first look at the puzzle today. I need more coffee before I get started!
Me too, sorry lola. I tend to put off the long words until Ihave to find them . I was a bit like that with my homework too!
ooooh, I have 2 ar7s !!
Babbler, me too now :)
a7/28 x4, ci7/56, di7/32 x2, st7/28.the a's were in that "Italian" grid the other day, lol

I don't know if we're going to let boys in.....
makay- looks like I'm missing the same one :( I have wa x8 and wi x 6, is that what you have?
:'(
Okay, but you'll have to do a dare first.
My list of w's is exactly the same.....
...i'm all ears...
Yep Lola - I have the same w's
Or.... you could just tell me what the second letters for the other two a7's are! I have ar x 2.
I've only got 3 Lo :/ all ar...
Any clues for the wa8 and wi6?
Off to my mums now - its her birthday. Thanks for all the help i hope to be back tonight when the littlies are in bed. Happy babbling!
Eva, I think Lola meant 8 words x wa, and 6 words x wi... At least, that's why my list looks like!
'Bye snowy, bring us some cake back! :)
are you sure there's a wi6, I'm missing 2 x wa but have just got a wa5/20
bye snowy
wa5/20 ??????????/ The Missing W !!! Have you got a clue for us?
Yes, I meant 8 x wa words and 6 x wi words, sorry for confusion :)
That's a relif lola!
babbler, let go of ferrari and she might tell you!
hard to type correctly with an irate, hungry cat at one's elbow, threatening to bite.
oh shucks. alright then (looks at floor like Oliver Hardy. shuffles foot and twiddles thumbs)....
Hi, movieman has returned, and he desperately requires assistance with the 7's, 8's, and the 9...would ne1 out there be generous enough to provide that assistance? I would be eternally grateful... Muchos...
there's no defn.,sounds like an Irish name; or have an m6/30 use the beginning of that.
afternoon movieman, I posted alist of 7's at 6.11am
Anj, have you got the ar's that are the record lable with two alt endings and the people signed to them?
: ( haven't got m6/30 yet.......
c8/50, d8/45,w8 and 9 think Desperate Housewives
Hi peeps, I have an ao7 ...
Babbler that is'nt m**** to my ears!
Lo, I think they're the ones I have. Label plus e, poshies and performers :/
Chessy, you're a star. Got that right off lol :)
Aaargh, will have to look for it when I get back, time to fetch small person :)
Babbler - George Michael started off in a band that the 1st 3 letters of this word sound like and then follow Ferrari's clue
ferrari!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! you're beauuuuuuuuuutiful !!
don't know what it means tho', all Greek to me :)
wa's -missing a 4 and 5, have moan,middles and middles without an i
cor FMitch, if I wasn't hanging off Ferrari's neck already, I'd be hanging off yours! taaaaa luvvie!
looking for ao7................. (still)
...not getting ANY of the 8s or 9. Don't watch Desperate Housewives. Haven't got a clue... :(
more hints for the ao anyone?
Babbler, a07/28, its a Greek verb tense,plural
Anj-- beauuuuutiful flowers........... !!
It's ao plus sounds like the bits that joins your hands to your arms :)
Anj, climbing & trailing plant, mauvey flowers ...some on our neighbour's wall if you want to take a peek :)
Anj 1 of your a4/4 is the ending then pluralise
hmmmm, what kind of education did I have? I got Anj's clue, but not Ferrari's!! eek! thx guys!
Ang - play a card game and then sing a piece of opera
Anj, it's w4/7 plus a4/4 ...
oops sorry about typo Anj, mea culpa
Anj, thank you once again for making things accessible to those of us who did not have classical educations and are just ordinary grunts! It's hard to admit, in this sophisticated company, that greek verbs aren't on the tip of ones tongue. Now I can feed the cat.
Ferrari, what was that t5/16 you mentioned earlier? I've tried a few combos but can't find it.....
*DONG! sounds of large penny dropping* :) I would have spelt it with an E tho'... Thanks all
Confused! Wam what?
No worries Eva :) Are you going to feed the cat to the dog then?? ;)
Babbler yum yum ; can anyone help with those 2 wa's that aren't moaning middles without an i pleeeease :)
it has both spellins Anj
No dog, just bear, fox, coyote, and other creatures who would love a big fat cat for breakfast. But he isn't allowed outside.
Ferrari-- thx for the clue. I typed it in........ it was accepted......... but for the life of me, I don't see it on the grid!!! Funny when that happens! : )
ferrari have you got the wa4 that you have to "hang around for quite a while"
Eva I've not had a classical education and I love desperate houswives, just thought you might remember from the other day
mitch it doesn't like wait/waits
ferrari !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! gasp!
it works for the singular
hang my head in shame :( still missing a 16, better check that I actually am, yes have now got the sounds like as well at least I got the wa/20 :)
Can anyone tell me if the c8/50 has the same base word as the c7/36?
broll it's a cl8/50 ( and that one too Babbler!)
thx ferrari. At least I can go in another direction!
not having any luck at all with the Cs or Ds.... course, i still have 150+ words left to find...hehe
cl8 is part of the brain but sounds more like a bad lift experience
broll, think how bad Xmas would be if Santa had a fear of tight spaces, then knock of the phobia lol ;)
can someone tell me the 2nd letter for the d8 please
got the C8 and the W8, whats the other 8?
I'm still having intermittent probs scrolling back through the log - is anyone else?

Thanks FMitch :) Don't worry, Anj always takes a while to warm up but he'll have you giggling away soon ;)
posh people, and record label people......... (alt ending)
I knew my Latin would come in handy with this game!
Hi Jera :)
cheers! thanks babbler!
probably wont finish today, but at least i have all the 7s, 8s, and 9s now! i can feel accomplished. :D
FMitch, Lola speaks from experience ;) lol
;)
Still can't get the cl x 7. Clues for fools??
alleyn- think fear of enclosed spaces, take off the phobia, change the o for an a :)
*sigh* sorry alleyn, that's the cl8! You're looking for a ci7.
Lola! But thanks, got the cl8/50
Yay! Now do you have the ci5/14?
heh, anyone got a list of all the 6es yet? ;)
ci5/14 tiny hairs
Sorry, Evanadine. Haven't moved off the top row yet :/
Hi all, any clues for the st7 please?
is that how you work, anj? one row at a time? always curious what tactics people use to play the game. :)
evanadine- it depends what kingd of coffee he is drinking....
Evanadine, usually I just track left to right and work down slowly. I only start jumping around if i'm not getting anywhere :) lol...
i usually try to knock out the bigger words first...then i try to get the words that start with vowels, since i am really bad at those...
boysaway- to make stripey :)
Lola, I was afraid you were gonna say that, still can't think what it could be!
use the first four letters of "take it all in st____" and add the past tense of eat.
....ends in past tense for consume...
Boysaway: S - attempt one less than nine...
Er, well, actually...that's a fall back tactic too lol. If anyone is doling out biggie clues I go a-searching for those as well. Lola, i'm surprised you mnagaed to keep quiet after my last post lol ;)
stillcrazy, lola and evanadine, THANKS
your very welcome
anyone got the u ?
ut4/4
Anj, lol, yeah, was a bit distracted by trying to help boysaway :)
gottit! at least I was on the right tile for a change....! : )
Anj, see you're listening to the band eva rec'd last night. Any good?
Groovelily...not bad - Ben Folds Five springs to mind. Not my usual cup of tea, but I could only find 4 tracks so i'm reserving judgement for now.
Yes, should remember to do that myself. Had a total LP fest this morning an am loving her :)
Gooday Lola,and all Babblers.
Howzit dazza :)
How you doin Lola???????
I'm good and yourself?
where has everybody gone?
Good morning my darlings! :)
Very well...........
Hi ToeSockMonkey :)

Lo, just about to start looking :)
Is there a key to these things? A trick? Some kind of unscrambler?
'Fraid not Toe - just plain old brain power and a2z when really stuck. Plus all the clues in the log.

Do you want me to post the L's that I have?

Thanks Haz - looking in the wrong place as usual!
I've never used this a2z thing... what's up with that?
www.a2zwordfinder.com and then go to the scrabble option - great if you are really desperate for a word

Hi Swimmy :) Thanx Lola *blushes*
Right, coffee's made. Help yourself everyone :)
lifesaver :) ((((x))))
MMM good coffee!
Thanks Anj - cleared my L's
y/w Spellit :)
I'm probably being really dense (!!), but I can't see the li4/4 in the last block of 3 in Anj's list. I've got the diet one and the lighting up one.
ChrisP, it uses the bottom left letter :)
Thanks Anj - obvioulsy that was the only one I hadn't tried!!
Gotta love all the plurals!
lol, always the way Chris :)
Can anyone help with the last 2 m's? ma4/7 ma4/6 ma5/14 ma5/14 ma6/24 ma5/18 ma6/2 4 ma4/6 ma5/14 ma4/6 mu5/1 8 mu6/30 mu4/6 mu5/14
I can't see the last lo 4/4 - I have the currency, the TV show and LO** of words today.
Good afternoon, all of you... late start, but since I have the evening off, I'll give it a try. 255!
Cadfan, try a different ending on your currency. Hi Sprite :)
Chris P mu 5/20 think of your fu word you found.
having trouble with 2 of the 3 li5/10, I have the organizational one, any clues for the others?
Got it, thanks Anj
thanks lola100 -- great clues!
Thanks Haz - she says embarrassedly (is that a word?)!
I am stuck can u please help me
Gs are done if anyone wants a list :)
snopp - what help do you need?
Anj - that would be lovely, thanx!!!
One of the li's sounds like a metric measurement, the other looks like li followed by decay.
A couple of answers
Well well, babble! O4/8, you naughty little....
snopp - you need to be more specific than that. What do you need answers to?
not the only naughty word, look at how the babble night began...
mtnjock, I see! Thanks :D
Hi all - thought I wouldn't have time to Babble today, but I just can't resist... Quite a few more words than yesterday -
...I can guess that might figure a cl8 that isn't quite there. It's a myth, as Will Ferrell says in Jay & Silent Boh Strikes Back lol
gi4/5 gi5/12 gi4/5 gi5/12 gi4/ 5 gi5/12 gi4/5 gi5/12 gi4/5 gr 4/5 gr6/21 gr5/12 gr6/21 gr4/5 gr5/12 gr5/12 gr6/21 gr4/5 gr 5/12 :)
Thanks Anj!
i need a cuple of word please e.g ansers i will trade u first
haz - thanks, I got the metric one, still kinda lost on the li followed by decay is ...
thanks, anj--g's be done!!
snopp, there are clues to help you get words. we dont share words here because it takes away the challenge and the fun of it .
Hi Unie :) y/w You too Sproing :)
Mtnjock - think Hamlet - 'there's something ***ten in the state of Denmark'
Hidy ho, cats & kittens.
So that thing that used to waggle behind me when I was happy isn't valid???
*purrs*
THANKS! believe it or not, I thought that is what you meant, but couldn't see it in the babble.
Mtnjock - it's because the li goes in two directions - as if babble wasn't confusing enough!
Hi all new comers! Sorry was off doing mom things (you do NOT want to know.....)
Ah-ha! I've just had to enter a word twice because although the game took it, the grid didn't update. Maybe that's why i'm always entering words I thought I'd already entered at the end of a grid :/
Lola, I do :) lol
Lola100 - we DO want to know!
Lola, please tell and make my day easy by comparison :) Got two kids and believe me, I KNOW mom things.
The vote is unanimous!
Got 50 to go and losing the will to live! Did anyone get the last m I was missing from the list posted earlier?
I'm still 1 m missing Chris
nailed the Fs and the Gs... only 164 words left to find! *sigh*
LOL! Lets just say that I would find words a lot quicker if it wasn't for potty training. She wasn't bathing the cat in the toilet or posting peanut butter sandwiches into the VCR (this time!).... sorry to disappoint!
Ah, now that's called 'washing' the cat...the flush is the spin cycle lol
Er, no. That would be done in mummy's washing machine....lol!
I am pretty sure there was a sloar in Ghostbusters. A giant sloar, at that.
Ah the joys of potty training... My older son was nearly 4 when he finally got it, and I'm dreading my 2-year-old boy reaching that stage....

anyone have a list of C's. i am stumped with 3 to go.
Anj: you bad man, i just took at look at that site HEE HEE HEE!!!!!!!!!!! ;o) afternoon all
Hi bobsta :)
hi Lola ;o)
ANJ - nice site... and the fact that the dog is playing rocky top (Univ of TN's theme song...)... LOL
Well if i'm nothing, at least i'm comic relief lol Hi Bobsta :)
Does anyone have the list of a's they would be willing to post?
...how come the ol' Lone Star state is a word then??
fanks for that Anj, I didn't think of putting that one in ;o)
it means A structure on a river steamboat containing the pilothouse and the officers' quarters
Cheers Berg, never knew that :)
this is very weird--the s4 that means to fly is listed twice in my word list . . .
any clue for the i word? it eludes me
it's that same intestine word that appears in lots of puzzles
got it. thanks une, stupid word!
Unie sounds like a job for the f5 to me...

bergery, any clues for the di5/16? *smooches* !! traa for now, Lola!
no good ones. you could put it in front of phone for a machine used for transcrption/
Hi you guys, hope you`re all better than this weather :o)
Hi Lotti :) It's will chilly isn't it? Cuddle up then lol :)
You didn`t want the handcuffs back did you Anj?!!! LOL
I need the second t in the second row from the bottom. I have the te4/4 bur the other one eludes me. TIA
lol, i'm getting by without them dear :)
T5/24 like the state.
mega smooches, bergery! great clue!
Good ....lol ;) I couldn`t have done anything for laughing anyway, nearly needed the tenna lady !!!! Hahaha
Also, I am coming up with a big zero for the fourth e in the bottom row. I have ea4/4 x2 and et4/4. TIA
Pluralize one of your ea4/4s, Cmith
plural of ea4/4
Csmith - ea5/10
thanks Sprite - now I understand the earlier reference to a steamboat.
In case of babble doubt, always try a plural ;)
Lotti, don't ever chnage lol :)
Thanks sprite
No chance of that hun, it`s faaarrr too late!!! x
Any help for the 4th O - I have oa 4/4, or4/4, and of course, or4/8. Thanx :)
Hi folks, movieman reporting...could ne1 of u kind individuals plz post a list of the s's? I am still missing nearly thirty of them...for some reason my brain (what there is left of it) is switching off... Any assistance would be ever so gratefully received... Muchos...
os5/10
os5/10
Same here lol :) You just missed Lola.
**smacking forehead wildly and looking sheepish** That one's in here all the time!!!
I noticed, is she ok?
Just fine, although the small person has required a bit of maintenance this afternoon lol
Movieman, I am nowhere near finishing them. Guess most of us aren't. Sorry.
Oh bless....parenthood eh! Take my advice Anj and do without, they`re like elephants....nice to look at but you don`t want to own one!!!!! Have to get one of mine from karate at 5.15 so i`ll be off again before long.
2nd that Movieman. Have you tried checking back thru' the log just in case?? HighEbergy is usually quick out of the blocks and may have posted something earlier.
Sprite - wot about the c's then? I am only missing two so a list of them would be great :oD
Then I would benefit from your list, movieman :) I only have 3 of them so far.
ci 5 14 ci 7 36 ci 4 6 ci 5 14 cl 4 8 cl 5 14 cl 6 24 cl 8 50 cl 4 9 cl 4 6 cl 5 14
movieman, can you help with the t's?
Thanks, Cmith :)
FMitch - not really, I'm still missing 20 of them...:o(
I'm missing 3 w's, does anyone have a list they'd like to share?
Movieman - I've got all but 2 s's. Haven't got time to list them all now, but have: sa x 12 si x 12 sl x 8 so x 10 st x 10 su x 2 Hope this helps.

Must dash see ya soon :)
hi everyone here we go again :D
later Lotti :)
hahaha...you notice how she's avoiding my question...
Hi Karenh :)
Man. 103 words and I've hit the wall.
Hi Miyavi :) Didn't see you sneak in there.
Hey Torgone: Do the monkey wit me
Hi Anj...I was lurking again ^_^
thought id get "hip" and have a trendy icon............
Nice, Karen! I'm still too poor to join up...shouldn't have bought that cd...*hangs head*
never mind miyavi i still wont finish the damn puzzle :)
Hey Miyavi, music is the food of life :) Image isn't all it's cracked up to be...
I can't wait to see miyavi's icon when she finally scrapes up the sawbuck.
hahaha...I'm guessing now it will be of the real Miyavi ^_^ either that or a scary shot of Kyo!
Torgone, it will be a thumbnail of Miyavi lol Trust me on this :)
You may be right, Anj...though I should really not go meevering (and YES, that is a word) on babble...it's not good for my sanity
Perhaps one of Toshiya if I'm in that sort of mood ^_^ (ie, a 'scary bassist' mood)
You could use Grog from Die so Fluid for that lol :)
Hehehe...have you seen toshiya?! he's almost as bad as Kyo...only less visual kei makeup
I just picked up about 15 words trying plurals. +_+
handy little letter that s
We praise unto you oh S ^_^
I'm sure we can handle that Miyavi lol You could always go for an anima or manga figure...
I could, but some force would make me feel so disloyal to j-rock *hangs head*...plus some of the manga I'm into is a bit weird too. (do you notice any sort of pattern emerging?)
The list I have for the t's says there are 17, but I have 18...are there 18, or are there even more?
Nothing wrong with Japanimation :) I've got Legend of the Overfiend, Ghost in the Shell and Appleseed. It's got a style all of its own...
I thought there were 34 Ts.....
yup! Ever seen any Uzumaki? Freaky indeed...
WOW! I must have gotten a short list. My daughter copied it for me.
any clues for the wa 27 guys i'll share my choccy hobnobs :)
..there are, although I haven't captured all of them yet })
wa27--since having children, I haven't seen mine
karen -- your choccy hobnobs will pluralise your middle....
Hello again all you good, good people...my list of missing r's is getting smaller, but I still need 7 more...could ne of u kindly post a list of the r's? I would be ever so grateful... Muchos...
I am apparently missing two s6's. I have sa 6 36 sa 6 18 st 6 18 st 6 21 Any help. TIA
I'd love to see what you have on r's, movieman, as I only have 6 ........
Miyavi, i've thought about getting Dominion Tank Police or Neon Genesis Evangelion. Problem is, there's so MUCH of it I wouldn't know where to start...
omg how silly am i :/
Agreed...I can either never find it anywhere, or find a whole chunk of it at once. And after an hour of music coursework my brain just can't handle that!
ra 6 18 ra 4 4 ra 5 10 ra 4 4 ri 4 4 ri 4 4 ro 4 4 ro 4 4 ro 5 10 ro 4 4 ro 5 10 ro 4 4
theres another st6/18
begrery: Thanks. Sometimes I am sure I've checked all the plurals and then find out I did not.
happens to all i am sure.
Could someone please give me a clue for as 5/10? tyia.
top of the morning to everyone!
hi boreetos
morning?
oops, sorry! Didn't see the flag! Music coursework killed my brain ^_^
123 words left to go. Any clues? Kidding -- just wanted to see my icon and handbag, for which I paid a sawbuck. Would lend you the money, Miyavi, but the dollar is weak, and besides, I haven't a sou to spare.
here in Seattle, it's 9:34am, so yeah, morning!
its so starry
haha...thanks for the thought though, Mab! Ah, may be able to get the parents to pay for me if I can convince them it's 'educational'
*hangs head* sorry, boreetos...
its cool. I forgive you :)
Hi Boreetos :)
Torgone, the magen is better than ninja buddha, yes? It is difficult to find and transfer an image. Must find my handbag.
I've crashed. Please could anyone help me with the ra6/18? Is it really obvious?
so what's this 9 letter word I hear so much about 'round the ole stats page?
nice icon anj, didn't like the other one?
don't be so uptite, boreetos ;)
errr, that should read babbler, not boreetos!
its hanging boreetos .......it really is
:)
mab - very nice. I was getting distracted wondering when the ninja buddha was going to jump out and forcefully enlighten me.
moi? uptite? was that a clue? I'm too braindead for cryptic!
Babbler - the ra 6/18 isn't obvious unless you know all about flightless birds. Take a rodent and follow (it) with e.
ooooooh, found it just before your post Haz! Thx fordo!
Boreetos, anarchy was sooo yesterday lol :) Babbler, its ra plus sounds like opposite of loose :)
as5/10 def: moving about, being in motion. (use an st4/4 add the a to the front.)
babbler ra6 refers to an ostrich, sounds like a drunken rat
I'm back :) Did anyone miss me?
Of course, lola.
Yes, me too. It's disettling to become suddenly enlightened. And don't worry about the magen, I'm not one of those mitzvah-mobile Jews (like they'd let a woman set foot).
*bearhug * smoochy kisses* No, what gave you that impression?? ;)
what letter does the 9 letter start with? and the fourth e word? I've got the two directional ones and the food consumption one.
Begrery, I got it thanx
hi lola
Any help with L`s please??????
but of course lola..
ita a w.... think plant
hi lola I've just got back too ,Cmith there's an si6/18
check the log from about an hour ago for a complete listing of the l's
Your fourth e word is an anagram of the consumption and direction ones. The 9 begins with wi.
hi lola
Aaaw, thanks boys ;)
thanks for the e clue haz. still working on the w9...
the wi9 plant is also the home address of some desperate housewives
well, the plural version is w9 singular is w8
si6/18 ?? crikey...... any clues?
Still looking for the last s6. I have sa 6 36 sa 6 18 st 6 18 st 6 21 st 6 18 Help?
Cmith - Si6/18
hmm. I'm not so into plants or Teri Hatcher shows, (not since the new adventures of Lois and Clark went off the air) any other clues?
I've just posted it for you it's an si6/18 a musical instrument
boreetos - It's also a muggle street in Harry Potter.
babbler: slang for sister, with an r in there.
thanks refinnej, thats more my style. :)
just tryin to help
Think trellis, purple, lovely scent and the south. Great clusters of flowers.
Boreetos, sounds like an album by Def Weppard ;)
Very nice anj.
thx fordo, ferrari.
Boreetos: they make me a bit wistful.
Woah...just woken up. Can't believe I fell asleep at the desk again!
mab: make you long for a nice ARIA, too?
So true.
Hiya, has anyone posted the A's?
I haven't been here in a few days so sorry if this is a repeat question but what's with the new tiles? I liked the old, bold lettered tiles :(
thanks everyone. great clues. esp. Harry Potter and Def Weppard. thats just too damn funny. back to work for me. see you guys later.
We all did, Timg. Not an improvement, alas.
Dr G didn't have a choice
Steady Miyavi, that's the cue for the Bean Signal :) Paddytt - someone did earlier but they were 6 short I think Timg - Hasbro got a bit heavy with copyright :/
Thanks all. 255 words at 2875 points. Does anyone want anything before I go off and nurse my horrible cold?
Hasbro made him change them
cheers Anj
Grrr! Keep thinking I see the word 'trauma' in there...@_@ think I'm cracking up here! No, Anj, not the bean signal!
Torgone you big "stud" !!!!!!! Hi Lola how ya doing? Hiya everyone :o)
Well done, Cmith.
Hi lotti!!! How you doing today?
eek! *runs and hides behind Lola*
well done Cmith!
FMitch: Thanks for the info. That's really too bad. Hopefully he can change the font again sometime in the future so they're a bit bolder.
hi lottijw.
errr. Cmith, please could I trouble you for a clue for the sa6/36? purrrrdie pleez?
can anyone post complete list of t's, s's, and a's? List of a's was 6 short
Has anyone a breakdown of L`s please???????
Good thanks. Trying to fight off a cold at the mo *hope i didn`t pass it on to Torgone!* Dr J tonight eh??!!
Yeah, a bit bolder font would be great. Well, who knows :)
Welcome back Lola
dazza, see 9:04 am from anj
Hi, all. Laughing at Def Weppard..i dont know what that is a clue for but hallelujah...I have heard of them...(unlike a myriad of other bands)
babbler - sa4/7 plus two letter
Hehehehe...no need to remind me lottikins ;) Torgone is looking a little pale today.....
Heya lotti! ;) How are ya? My jaw is still a little sore...
Cmith -- I am a blind idiot! thx v much!!
any help for the fu6/27, I got the other 3 (including the plural one).
All the better for seeing you Torgone!!!! Did you sleep well???? Hiya Ferrari Hiya Miyavi :)

*sigh* have to go again.... be back later....Anj, try to keep an eye on lotti? lotti, torgone- behave! (at least 'til I get back!)
My Fu6/27 is a plural, for light flintlock musket
that must be the extra f I have in the list.. hate that...

Sorry about that - my columns screwed up. Bye all and good lucj.
Sure thing Lo. Lotti, behave...i've got cold hands }-)

Happy Birthday for tomorrow, Liana!!! xxx
Sharpened too, liana? TTFN!
Karenh, alwasy like to have a well dressed icon ;)
Anj that must give you a warm heart!!!! :)
Never needed sharpening ;) Enjoy the treat and your birthday, liane!
and so you do anj ........so you do :D
Oookay...time for me to stare blindly at my algebra for an hour. Bye!

It's called loose cannon lol :) Lotti, howdya guess? ;)
Later Miyavi :)
Have fun Miyavi :)
It`s your wonderful nature darling ;)
mtnjock...still here?
yup .. Hey Scouts Mom
anj do you have any of those cleaver clues for the 8's i have the w . thank you.
hey honey. making trouble for these nice people?
Off to make chilli (again). Maybe i`ll taste it through this cold!! Back soon :)
Cheers hun...you too ;) karenh, there's a di8 that sounds like someone with a phone fetish lol There's also a cl8 which is what suffers from in tight spaces (less the phobia) The wi8 is the singular of the wi9, which is an alternate spelling of a creepy crawly climbing plant with purpel flowers, the name of the road in Desperate Housewives (I think...not Acacia Ave!) or where Harry Potter lives when he's not at Hogwarts. Also sounds like an album by Def Weppard. *gasps*
could someone tell me which e I am missing? Ihave ea 4/4, ea 4/4, and et 4/4.
LOL - the cl8 should say 'what SANTA suffers from...' d'oh!
ea5/10
Kick it up a notch, lotti. BAM! A little cayenne will help your breathing. See ya later!
thank you sprite. :)
you know me, just babblin away, read the early morning puzzle comments... you'll see the trouble we got into this morning...
I have never finished a big grid without forgetting at least one plural or singular ;)
How many words are there?
phew thankx anj ill work on those for a while :)
Hi there Sheila
hey Deb, you aren't supposed to be playing so I can pass your ranking. ;)
Deb-I need a break, go to IM
I am at the clients site that led me to this addictive game - and we are on our babble, I mean lunch break
I don't think the rankings are saying much :) If I manage not to play for a while, I get higher and higher, while finishing every grid usually gets me downhill. Hardly check anymore.
hey mtnjock: deb and sheila rae are two more i turned to the dark side for you. you're welcome.
Wonderful clues, as always, Anj.
I skipped 2 days once and went up 5 places in ranking, but my sister is still 20 places above me. grrr...
Just a minor clarification on Anj's clue - Harry Potter doesn't live in the W8/9 street when not at Hogwarts, but it's in the same neighborhood. :) He lives on Privet Drive. Yes, I'm a little obsessed . . .
bwahahahaha ... the force is strong in you my child...
refinnej, I love you :D
Just don't want to confuse anyone as equally obsessed with HP as I am. They'd know immediately that Privet isn't in this puzzle. :-)
When I started with this grid, I kept looking for words with a P in it, no idea why, LOL. Done... some strange words in here! Thanks a million for all the very helpful lists and clues, I needed them badly this time.
tres bien anj i hve the 8's :D:D:D
Good spot refinnej :) As you can tell, i'm not an obsessive lol
Anj, can I get a hand with the ma6/24 that isn't a plural?

refinnej, one of my favorite HP quotes: "Never trust anything that can think for itself, if you can't see where it keeps its brain!"
right...algebra is out of the way! (or at least ignored until later)

Babbler, I think that is the rope one. Fibers from plant.
Hi honey, i'm home :)
*sighs* Anyone got any idea why the sudden population growth during the industrial revolution started a slide in religious affiliation? History essay...
mtnjock, got tired of holding. send msg to my hotmail if you want; i'm checking it on breaks. ps your fly's open.
Yay! (((((xxx))))
Hey people! Guess who us back!! I'l give you a clue.. me!!!
sprite..... so sorry about this, still in a crash.......... is the third letter 's' or 'l'? Miyavi -- good question! If I remember anything, I'll share!
cathy- we didn't have to do an essay!! we just had to do a leaflet about it!!
hey lozzie n myavi_fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!! woo woo thommas da tank engine bet u no hu i am now!!!!
Wha...?! Who told me it was an essay then?! ARGH, this is what happens when stupid teachers drag you out of lessons! I'm on the third page! THE THIRD PAGE!!!
Babbler: S. Think of a rough kind of rope. Hurts the hands. Very popular in the 60s.
*aaaaah*. as soon as you said that, I got it without looking! I'd laugh out loud, but I'm shattered!! thx luvvie!
Miyavi_fan: perhaps people got the feeling they could make anything themselves, from machines up to children... and they needed no more God? (Sorry Dr_God!)
.... or maybe they were exhausted from working very long hours in repetitive jobs, and they spent their Sundays in pubs..........???
Hm...you could be right there Sprite. Either that or with all that work they couldn't be bothered to get out of bed on a Sunday morning? But wait...I'm verrry lazy and even I can be bothered to go to church! What a bunch of skivers!
Cathy... she said to do a small leaflet for the farmers! SMALL not a long page thing
ANNOYIN PEEP WHO R U?>>>>>
yars, but I got dragged out of the lesson by those reception duty people, remember? Then someone said something about an essay...*bangs head on desk*
......... or maybe, in an increasingly mechanised age, there was MORE work to do, not less.........????
....... talking of which, must empty the washing machine..........
ROFLOL Babbler... you are SO right!
babbler- lol! Do mine too while you're at it!
Lozzi, you fool, It's Clairey
cathy they had the changes so that they could save time going from one plot to another and another is o they can breed animals carefully and theres something else
CLAAAAAIIIIIIRRRREEEEEYYYYY !!!!! hows u hunni?
hehehe...a woman's work is never done? In that case I'll stick with being a sulky teenager!
Miyavi, the main effect of the industrial revolution was that wealth replaced religion as the driving force of society. I would imagine that the draconian forced labour rules didn't help either. No time for God :/
ooh, Anj, you sound so bitter ^_^ Hahaha, this is making me feel very good about going to church now
He's a victim of the violence inherent in the system...
Help, I'm being oppressed!
*sigh* fine, here are the keys to the handcuffs.....
*gasps* Break free of the shackles, Anj! In this cradle of democracy! LIBERATE THE OPRESSED!!! yah, too far
bye bye everybody

LOL!
Did someone mention handcuffs????? lol :)
could someone help me with the last to 4/4 please?
a half marathon today methinks, see you all tomorrow lolxx
Hm...the essay that didn't need to be an essay is now a four page rant about how the agricultural revolution caused cholera to spread and society to be less civilised. (as we see with you guys and the handcuffs!)
Oh good, you're back lotti! Did you bring my whip with you?

LOL! Yeah, think you're right torgone!
Does anyone have a clue for the si 6/18?

Even more daughters.Hi all .
Lola ,Russian "king" with o not a and is
sprite - I had to go to a conference call, so just saw your HP quote. I love that one! But then it makes me think, I can't see where everyone here keeps their brain . . . On a little more serious note, I also love the quote from the first chapter of Half Blood Prince - Prime Minister: "But for heaven's sake--you're wizards! You can do magic! Surely you can sort out-- well--anything!" Minister of Magic: "The trouble is, the other side can do magic too, Prime Minister."
can anyone please give me the stats for the only i many thanks
Thanks mom :)
Time for Tea.Bye all Dr Jack to look forward to.

Hi Hugabugs, and everyone!
*yawns* yah...history done at last. Thanks for the help ^_^

Neil - All my friends call me Hugs... and it's a lot shorter to type. :o)
'Bye mom :) lotti- see torgone's met your mother...lol!
Hi sfneil :)
Cool, Hugs! ;)
Anyone have a clue for the C7-36?

'Bye lotti :) If I don't see you before 10 enjoy!
Later lotti luv!
Judi - it's an extension of a ci5/14 - has to do with hairs on a cell, if I remember biology
*shakes head* 'bark bark bark with beachball on nose plus i plus 8 Time for my cyanide pill I think :(
judi - If you have the C5/14 hairlike structure (such as in the nose and ears) it builds from that
Aaah, we love your clues Anj ;)
:'(
Anj, have you done the R's?
*WHEW* just finished the work for today... think theyd let me have a breather? nah... hows everyone??
Hi evanadine :)
hola lola. :D
Yup, i'm struggling with the Ss & Ts at the mo :/ Need a list? :)
ra 6/18 Has anyone given a clue for this one?
Hi Evanadine :)
munner, ra plus sounds like opposite of loose :)
Another unknown word, thank you, anj.
That would be lovely :) Just finished the T's but still have the A's to look forward to :(
anyone have a clue for the i?
hello again...
Hi boreetos :)
Lo, coming right :) Eva, sounds like intestine :) Hi Boreetos :)
hi guys
evanadine- sounds like Homer's il*** but without the last letter.
Hi cathy :)
Hi Cathy :)
What a good day! A great lunch with a sexy man, 2 hours left of work, and I feel gooooood! :)
thanks guys...i should just file that one away in memory. :)
Hey Cathy
ra6/18 ra4/4 ra5/10 ra4/4 ri4/ 4 ri4/4 ro4/4 ro4/4 ro5/10 ro4 /4 ro5/10 ro/4/4
good puzzle today! what I don't understand is, if I completed the puzzle yesterday, how I could have actually gone down in the rankings? hmph!!!!
ToeSockMonkey -- I'm jealous - I had Taco Bell at my desk for lunch!! :)
can anyone post a breakdown of w's
Thanks babe ;)
so I'm missing two of three 8's. I've got the w8, what are the other two?
Bugzy - Next time you can come too! :) We had Italian
CL8, Di8
hmm... Taco Bell... A sexy man.... which would I choose? The answer is obvious... but only because their Chalupas are so good!!!!
It's a deal -- though my Grilled Stuffed Burrito was quite tasty, too!
Hey, Toesockmonkey - was that two hour lunch devoted entirely to dining?
Does anyone have a clue for the A7-28 ?(not the french painter one).
hey judi... i will be coming down your way on Friday... going to a wedding in Wilmington
W's: wa4/7 wa5/16 wa5/16 wa6 /27 wa4/7 wa5/20 wa4/7 wa5/16 wa5/16 wi4/7 wi5/16 wi4/7 wi8/ 55 wi9/72 wi5/16
I only get about an hour for lunch so I had to use my time....wisely :)
judi -- there are 2 more, both along similar lines of spelling as the french one...
Neil - You read my mind. I only have 1 left and am just struggling with it.
Anjikins? *batting eyelashes*
Hi, Cathy. I work in New Castle, DE. About 5 miles from the Wilmington City limits. Have you been to Wilmington before?
The pasta was great and the company was even bigger. I mean better!
no, although have been fairly near there when I went down to concordville a few months ago? we (the whole family etc) are staying at the Sheraton Suites in downtown Wilmington - is it nice down there?
did someone want the clue for ao/7 28 just now??
ok everyone, time for me to go home! have a good rest-of-the-day! :D
later evanadine!
lol, TSM! That's Amore!
'bye, evanadine!
Cheers evanadine :)
and boreetos!
bye evanadine!
TTFN evanadine.
See you later evanadine
oh sorry, boreetos, misread 'evanadine' as 'everyone' ... going blind!
sandypops - sure! Bring it.
sfneil, that's silly. :) hey, does that stand for san francisco neil?
sandypops, I hadn't asked for it, but I'd sure like it :)
are there really a fu5/16 and fu6/27 ?!? hints?
Yes, boreetos, it does.
Yep Neil - I found them last night. Think French gun(s)
Cathy: Personally, I think Wilmington is the armpit of Delaware. High crime areas abound. However, the Riverfront area is safe for nite life. Good restaurants there - recommend Harry's Seafood Grill or Iron Hill Brewery.
Neil, the fu's are flintlock muskets, but sound like a shortened pasta to me :)
right on sfneil, I'm from Berkeley.
can someone give me a clue to the 2nd ma6/24?
gah...have gone an hour with no progress made! *slumps down on desk*
cool, boreetos! I live in the Mission.
TSM - I was going to make a bad joke about Italian sausage but I will refrain... ;)
Thanks, Hugs, got 'em!!
Well, thanks for the heads-up... the hotel is supposed to be good, so that's fine by me! apart from that, the whole time will be spent more at rehearsal dinners, weddings and general fussing around, no doubt.
*singing* ....when the moon hits like a bigga hunky guy.... that's amore!
Great - can I impose on you (or somebody) for the s7/28?
ao7/28 ia plural of ao/6 18 heres the def:A form of a verb in some languages, such as Classical Greek, that expresses action without indicating its completion or continuation
Excellent sandypops, Thank you.
gotta go... bye all!!!
ROFLMAO ... sorry Judi, you just caught me by surprise.
Bye Cathy
'Bye cathy :)
Hugs, the st7/28 means striped ...
st7/28: to mark with st6/18
By, Cathy. Have a safe trip and a fun wedding weekend.
Thanks Chessy... can't figure out why I didn't see that!
Please point me towards wa 5/20.
Sausage joke? Oh I'm down! Rock me baby!
Can anyone point me toward (or post) an A list? Thanks!
mtn - the 2nd ma6/24 is a currency - Spelled like "short for mom" + "a large quantity" + i Your Vols pulled it out the other night, I see :)
Munner, no def, but it sounds like plural of what we call Washington Mutual Bank around here
Thanks Neil - that knocked off two more words
thanks bugzy...
Ha, that one worked for me too sfneil
Why won't it lemme use "Austria" ?!?!? *cries*
I'm looking for clues for the M6-30 and teh T6-36.
Life isn't fair, is it, ToeSockMonkey? It won't let me use japanese words!
you know what might be cool, and this may have been discussed already, but if the word list could scroll independently of the grid, so that you can see words you already have without taking your eyes off the puzzle. A lot of times I'll wait until someones posted list of certain words line up with the words on my list, and its kind of annoying. Any thoughts?
tw6/36 is the flexible thingie you use to close up bags in the kitchen so the contents stay fresh . . .
Judi, the m is plural of m5/18, or la, la, la, da, di, di, dums..:)
Judi, mu6/30, plural of your mu5/18
Hm...am trying to tackle maths homework...(still) tangent of theta is opp/adj?! What the...?!
boreetos, I open another window with just the grid, then I can scroll up and down without losing sight of the letters ...
Thanks, Mtnjock... but, I don't have the Mu5-18 either! Clues for dummy me, please.
that's a great idea Chessy. thanks. I had not thought of that.
mu5/18, what you do all the time... make fun of songs ... which is ...
Judi, we'd sing the mu clues if we could ..:)
alright kids, I gotta get back to work. until later.
Okay, I looked all the way back through the log, and did not see a complete list of A's... anybody, please?
Well, duh. How did I not see that?! 50 lashes with a cello for me.
sfneil- I am missing three A's, do you want me to post what I've got?
Neil - I would if I could, but my A's is sorely lacking! :o(
|\ a | t \ d | \ j | \ | \ ------------ opp
mtn + vowel words = false
Well, that didn't work...
okay, okay. I CAN do this...tangent of theta is opp/adj, so tan of T is 0.4/2.5 um, um...tan to the power of minus one... *collapses in tears* waaaah!
Tor - What is that?
Asia isn't a word but T5/24 is???
Time for a "my dog ate it" scenario methinks!
Dr God is a ZZ Top Fan... aren't they from t5/24?
It was supposed to be a right triangle with opp & adj, but the post thingie doesn't like spaces...
Miyawi - Wish I could help you, but I failed math with flying colors. Lucky I can add and subtract without having a stroke.
Thanks Bugzy!
miyavi... do you yahoo?
you're probably right, Granadan! Gah...man, I need a dog. "my best friend ate it" may not work as well. Unless I can actually get one of them to eat it. hm...if I concealed a maths homework assignment in a sandwich, would it fool you guys?!
howdy ho to everyone.... t 5/24 what are we talking about...is ther a clue
Need clues for the two ma 6/24s. Thanks.
mtnjock...uh, what? forgive my ignorance ^_^
yellow rose of t5
miyavi- you'd probably have better luck if you used chocolate....
thanks mtnjock I just got it as you posted....
do you IM through yahoo (grad degree in Math here) I use the same login there
miyavi - only if it were from Boots.
probably Lola, but I'm not sure how I could hide maths homework in chocolate! unless...*begins to scheme* well, I thought the diagram was very lovely Torgone. Such artistic genius!
later, boreetos!
ones a plural ma6, the other is short for mamma and something that kinda sounds like a great amount
degree in math?! *stands back in awe* uh...I use msn, not sure if my computer is up to getting yahoo. It's very old and unstable, it had a nervous breakdown the other day. smoke and everything ^_^
speaking of which, my internet dies soon, so if I suddenly go, that's why
lola, that would be great if were to post your A's!! I'd be ever so grateful -- I'm still missing 15!!
sfneil, I am still missing three but here's what I got! ai 5 10 ai 4 4 al 5 16 al 5 10 al 4 4 al 4 4 al 4 4 al 5 10 al 4 4 am 4 6 ao 6 18 ao 7 28 ar 5 12 ar 6 21 ar 4 4 ar 5 10 ar 4 4 ar 5 10 ar 6 18 ar 7 28 ar 6 18 ar 7 28 ar 6 18 ar 7 28 ar 4 4 as 5 10 at 5 10 at 5 10 at 5 10

babbler there does not seem to be a definition.... click on the ? beside the word
Babbler - ma5/18 involved in and especially catalyzing a reaction in which acid participates
and one is a dirty word... oa 4 4 or 4 8 or 4 4 os 5 10
oa 4/4 or 4/8 or 4/4 os 5/10
can I get help with the gr 6/21, 5/12, and 6/21 (I have the one meaning thanks)... ;)
mtnjock! I'm stepping on your toes!! Sorry mate!
no worries, I ask for them all the time and I am waiting for a call back.
can anyone help me find ts6/18 please? Does it really exist?
I'm such a good guy, I'll give you the gr 6/21 for free.

the ts word does exist, means : trouble and suffering in yiddish
Yes Mtn Jock it does exist... I just put it in... sounds like you have a boo boo it is S****
ts6/18 - Yiddish for trouble and suffering
mtnjock, the gr5/12 ground grain and gr6, the plural. the other gr6, latin for free
ts 6/18It means trouble and suffering
ta 4 4 ta 6 18 ta 5 10 ta 4 6 ta 5 14 ta 4 4 ta 4 4 ta 4 4 ta 5 10 ta 5 10 ta 5 16 ta 4 4 te 4 4 te 5 24 ti 4 6 ti 4 4 ti 4 4 ti 5 10 ti 4 4 ti 5 10 ti 4 4 to 4 4 to 5 10 to 4 4 to 4 4 tr 4 5 tr 6 18 tr 5 10 tw 4 7 tw 6 27 tw 5 16 tw 6 27 tw 6 36

one is plural of ma 5/14 I am searching for the other as we chat
Could someone help me finish the s's? I need the st 5/12 and st 6/21 and the last st 6/18. Please help me!
the other is short for Mom, plus another word for many, plus 'i'
Sheila Rae, it seems I'm almost always missing the same ones you are. Sorry.
Found the 6/18, just need the other two--please~
st5/12 is like male deer, with an 'i' in the middle. st6/21: Having or revealing little emotion or sensibility st6/18, like your st7, but drop the second 't'
Doesn't it always figure. :)
Thanks Babbler :)
5 mins to Lost. Anyone want anymore clues? I'm calling it at 225 words.
babbler try as I might I do not get the ma 6 word for mother....any further clue
babbler, fu 5/22 please
errrr - well you typed the first bit already!! the middle bit - another word for many, or what do you call an auction item? then add an 'i' at the end.
fu5/22 is just like your m5/20. Def: Smelling of mildew or decay
Blaze, the def says currency. If that helps?
Time to go! Nite all! Best of luck!
have a great nite Babbler

Oh my heck! I am so sorry. I think that's the first time I've ever done that. I thought sure I took off the rest of the word. Once again, I blame it on the chemo drugs I'm taking!

Hi all Got here at last after a few hours getting the littlies settled and a seemingly endless typing spell. Unfortunately it was not a spell that gave me all the answers so which 8 am I missing plz? I have di8 & wi8 & a clue would be great!
snowy i am confused do you need clues for di 8 and wi 8 ???
Hi Jera :) di5/16 despot, less the tor ;) di8 - d4 (to do with a phone) L4 (shopping l....) the d9 is the plural
spellit, it's a ts6/18
Hi Snowy, it's cl8/50 - what Santa might suffer from if he was stick in a tight chimney...less the phobia :)
Chessy you are a hero! I owe you big time..
Need pointers to di 6/21 and the last di 7/32. Meanwhile, I'll keep monkey typing.
spellit you're welcome :)
Anj, I'm confused.. the phone plus shopping have to share a letter & make a di7 (which I have already). There's a 9, too?
di6/21 you do this to get whisky or moonshine
Anj as usual you are the man when it comes to clues. Never mind the job hunt, Dr God could pay you to provide clues for frazzled people like me! A job you are doing for nothing at the moment. THANKYOU
Jera, no, my brain is in meltdown... :/ They do share a letter and the di8 is the plural of the di 7 No di9 I shall administer the punitative haddock immediately...
di7/32 is an expert on an old fashioned telephone
here's the d list I have... di 4 5 di 7 32 di 8 45 di 5 12 di 5 16 di 4 7 di 6 21 di 7 32 di 4 5 di 5 12 All I need is the 8/45
spellit, I thought it had 2 l's. guess that's not my field of expertise :) ty
di8/45 is the plural of my di7/32 clue
Blaze - hello. It was the cl8 I needed. My posting just reflects my current state of mind!
Snowy, thanks but I'm only hitting the target 8 out of 10 tonight. The spirit is willing, but the brain is taking industrial action... lol

jessmom, i got that one, its the other one i'm missing. thank you though.
i'm missing the same ta's: 5/14 and 4/6
une - powder
the ta's are a powder used on baby's bodies and women one is plural the other is singular
Kristin, get up, knock off the end and say half of a good bye
kristin- the other 6/7's are almost identical, except for the last letter(s)
can't believe they were so obvious--thanks!!
stats are telling me I have 5 words left but the grid shows I'm missing 7 . . . ??
Kristen disneys Ar- - - - cats for the 7 and make the 6 the singlular
I surrender...still 54 to get, but I know I won't finish. I am at 201/2308, but the list is so long, it takes an age to enter every word. Goodnight and good luck.
Ex Wren goodnight - I think I'll be doing the same . I have 48 left but 3 littlies to get to school in the morning!
Anyone know of an L list posted earlier you can guide me to? I'm missing one, and can't seem to find it. Thanks.
Kristin, ar4/4 think opera

I feel like I've tired every possible permutation looking for the santa related cl8 word and still have't found it. Where am I going wrong?
I need the 2nd or 3rd ta 5/10 and the ta 5/16 please.
Eva, I'm repeating a great clue from earlier. If Santa were stuck in the chimney, but delete the fear.
Eva, it's the word for fear of enclosed spaces. Knock off the phobia and change the last letter left to an A
Has anyone seen a clue for the u posted?
Got it! Thanks anj & munner....I circled around that one for hours.
Munner -- def of the u says "eighth day after a feast", or at this time of evening and after a Babble day like today ... how about a plural for one of our western US states, minus an H :)
Veronica Mars season premiere starts in ten minutes - to all those I have raved to about this show - best show on tv according to Joss Whedon - watch Lost if you must but tape Veronica Mars! Hope you guys are well I haven;t played for a couple of days!
Anj -- your L posting worked! And my apologies for again addressing you as Ang, rather than Anj. I have an Ang in my family, and keep making that mistake ! See, you're not the only one with questionable typing tonight :)
Thanks, Cathy, but for the life of me, I don't see how those letters work in the grid.
Obviously, I was forgetting about the U in the corner. IThink that means I need a break. Will go and watch Lost with my husband but be back later.
No worries Cathy lol Well, i'm rounding up my brain cell posse and riding out to Big Bed... 'nite All - have fun :)
