12:29 am

12:49 am

Good for you Baggo! You're very brave, and so sorely needed.

12:51 am

fine thanks...you do that blaze...lol mab thanks for your support, i am a little nervous about going, but it's the one thing that i can do to help is to give of my time...so off i go..i will tell you the immunizations that i had to get were awful, my arms still hurt..

12:53 am

Oh Baggo you poor thing.... it is for such a good cause... I have always wanted to help like you are doing but lack the skills. and it is too far away to just go and be a comforter... you will be protected and held

12:55 am

i know that is what i said when i got them.. and if i just help one person smile or feel better for just a moment then it's all worth it. your thoughts along blaze are a tremendous blessing and to know that i will be thought of next week is a great comfort to me..

12:57 am

Our church pastor is down there right now on a fact finding and helping mission... he is in a small shrimp boat town.. out side of Sliddel (i think)

12:58 am

and from this side of the pond too Baggo!!

12:59 am

is anyone having trouble with the chat log freezing,,, disappearing and then reloading ???

12:59 am

the outpouring of support from around the world is what truly amazes me.

1:00 am

log seems ok to me so far (famous last words)

1:01 am

absolutely.... it truly is a small small world...when people communicate ...

1:01 am

hi fmitch...thanks i know that side of the pond is supportive. i truly am going to miss you all next week. but probably the week after when it's all said and done is when i'll need your thoughts. a friend just got back and said it will be like nothing i have ever seen before..

1:01 am

we will be here waiting for you when you get back :)

1:02 am

you know blaze it really is. this game is evidence of that, we all bring whatever our background is and we just help people out. that's truly what it's all about both in the game and in our lives outside of here.

1:03 am

baggo remember the walnut and the mustard seed. The walnut is round and hardshelled with a soft nurising center.... so events will roll off when needed... and you only need faith the size of a mustard seed to get through anything.

1:03 am

thanks fmitch...dont find find all the words without me..lol

1:04 am

oh bless you blaze, that was truly wonderful, and i will take that thought with me, as it was my faith that kept nagging at me that i needed to do this..

1:05 am

walnut trees and big oaks are seeds that stood firm... go get em baggo

1:06 am

i shall, i shall be on saturday will have to be my last puzzle, unless i can't sleep then i might play a bit before i go...

1:07 am

1:13 am

Goodnight Baggo!

1:13 am

God bless and keep you, baggo.

1:36 am

Blaze - I don't believe you - how did you get soooo many words? You are amazing!

1:41 am

2:29 am

2:34 am

welcome back brandyjack, you've been missed

2:36 am

ok, no-one say hello then, do I smell?

2:37 am

Good morning Ferrari.Are we alone?

2:39 am

good morning .... breakfast with Babble .... bliss

2:39 am

Good morning - I'm still kicking about p7/36 and c7/52

2:39 am

Hi madhatter.

2:40 am

didn't think so, I think I'm getting paranoid

2:40 am

morning hugs, madhatter

2:41 am

Early mornings, either pre work rush or concentrate on the words?

2:41 am

lots of juicy words today by the look of it :)

2:42 am

Looks good so far.

2:43 am

I almost wish it was pre-work, I've been off sick with a broken ankle for nearly four months, I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work but finding time for Babble will be tough.

2:44 am

that sounds rough madhatter :(

2:44 am

It`s fine when you can choose to stay home ,compulsion is no fun.

2:45 am

not even a compulsion to babble?

2:46 am

being housebound and on crutches was the worst bit, no actually the 12 days in hospital waiting for the op was definitely the worst bit! On the mend now thou

2:46 am

Thats the exception to the rule.

2:47 am

12 days is a long time when you're in pain

2:47 am

I don`t envy you one bit.I`m glad things are getting better and you can get back to normal soon.

2:48 am

the really stupid thing is, all I did was twist my ankle by going over on my shoe and managed to break three bones!

2:49 am

.... and before anyone says it ..... I don't do high heels!

2:50 am

It seems the simple accidents cause more problems than the dramatic ones.Lifes strange pattern.

2:50 am

Looks like you and me are in the same boat, Madhatter! I'm being kept off school by the mother today

2:51 am

Oh dear ... are you sick or are you being nurse?

2:52 am

Hi miyavi. You aren`t ill I hope. All the homework done too.

2:52 am

A group of manic lumberjacks are attacking my throat :/

2:52 am

Hm...almost, Macadam! Just got a tiny bit of algebra hanging over me

2:52 am

sounds painful :(

2:53 am

I know some one who broke an ankle then sprained her other ankle in the same way you did, she was in a real mess

2:53 am

Blame Lotti. She has a dreadful cold.Passed it down the line obviously!!

2:53 am

Not as bad as a broken ankle...though I've never broken anything. However, I find crutches are quite fun to play with :)

2:54 am

Heh...then it's Torgone we should all be worried about, Macadam :)

2:54 am

apparently breaking all three bones in your ankle is really common ... I was in hospital with a guy who had jumped off a wall when drunk & he had both legs in plaster!

2:57 am

Not forgetting Anj and Lola .She`s gone to Meadowhall in Sheffield today.I can`t go as My eczema is back on my foot and I can`t get a shoe on.Aren`t we a merry bunch.

2:58 am

it's toooooooo early for me ... I've just spent 15 minutes looking for the p7 I've already got !!! DOH!!!

2:58 am

All us quarantined babblers...(hm, is that broken ankle contagious?)

2:59 am

I hope not .... my other foot might catch it!

3:00 am

I would say lol, but it hurts to laugh :)

3:00 am

I don`t fancy that Plaster on top of eczema.ITCHY.

3:01 am

don't mention the itch to me ugh I'm fed up of it

3:03 am

imagine taking the plaster off!

3:05 am

when they pin & plate your foot they give you a removable cast ..... so you can take it of and scraaaaaaaaatch !!!!!

3:06 am

pin your foot?! sounds painful...is it?

3:06 am

No thanks. My skin comes off easily enough when the eczema recurs.Fortunately not too often. It always surprises me how much it itches. You must get used to it although I wouldn`t believe anyone who told me that.

3:06 am

VERY .... but my x-rays look great ..... I have a bionic foot!

3:07 am

Do you beep going through the airport check?

3:08 am

this is the best board i have ever seen.

3:08 am

no the metal work is all titanium so doesn't set off alarms

3:09 am

still shuddering over what 'pinning a foot' might entail *shivers*

3:10 am

c9/72x2

3:10 am

Not bad at first glance liz.

3:11 am

well, it's way past my bedtime. Goodnight or good day... whichever applies...

3:11 am

Sleep tight Hugs.

3:12 am

night night hugs mind the bugs don't bite lol

3:12 am

nite nite x

3:13 am

:o) thank you all! Happy Babbling!

3:17 am

Surprise visitors. How nice.Must go but will see you later.I wish you all good health it seems to be needed.TTFN.

3:17 am

see you later mac

3:19 am

Thanks, you too Macadam!

3:24 am

Anyone interested in a script to click on the letters instead of having to type the words? Easy to install with greasemonkey.

3:27 am

huh? greasemonkey?

3:27 am

sorry, I'm a technophobe

3:28 am

greasmonkey is a little firefox plugin that allows you to add your own features to sites.

3:28 am

riiiight...sorry :)

3:30 am

:-) It helps when you husband is a total computer freak.

3:31 am

Heh...I'm too young to have a husband and I don't know any computer freaks, so I'll take your word for it ^_^

3:32 am

LOL

3:34 am

miyavi hope your throat doesn't get any s5/10!

3:35 am

*grins* Thanks Ferrari...both for the thought and the clue ^_^

3:36 am

how's the coursework doing?

3:41 am

Ah...not too bad, thanks, Ferrari. I only get music coursework, because I'm doing that GSCE a year early. The rest is just regular homework (doesn't make it any less nasty though!)

3:42 am

you sound like you enjoy it really :0)

3:45 am

Oh yes, it's so difficult to find something as fun as homework! Maybe getting life-long 'flu?

3:47 am

you never want to get proper flu you wouldn't be able to babble

3:48 am

Ah, true, Ferrari. Though in my school homework causes "flu" amongst many students...

3:49 am

ehh ... sorry guys but I'm curious ..... surely you can recoat something ... ie, with paint?

3:49 am

I'll bet

3:50 am

madhatter, rehem was allowed the other day but you can't resit exams apparently, so pass 1st time miyavi

3:52 am

Thanks Ferrari, I'll try my best...not promising anything though :)

3:54 am

I know what you mean, Madhatter, I was sure 'recoat' was a word! Unfortunately, my computer refuses to be persuaded, though I've tried bribing it

3:55 am

as you can't recoat something ... it obviously can't be recoated either!!! FRUSTRATION is setting in ... time for a break. TTFN x

3:56 am

Also have typed in 'recoat' many times...just to be sure! However, my computer is in a bit of a bad mood with me, since I just called her 'it' rather than her name.

3:56 am

bye madhatter lol

3:57 am

what's her name miyavi, mine's peanut

3:59 am

Peanut! *gasps* my best friend's computer is called Peanut also! *falls to knees* A miracle! Oh, the computer upstairs in my house is called Ida, and I named my Dad's computer Hercules. Of course.

4:01 am

what a coincidence!

4:03 am

A coincidence indeed...many inanimate objects in my house have names. Including (but definately not limited to) the chairs, the lights and the carpet in my room ^_^

4:05 am

I would imagine that shoe you fell over is called something unrepeatable

4:05 am

Already you know me far too well...

4:06 am

BUT I must go now. See y'all later, when I come drawn back to babble. But now is sleepy time. zzzzz

4:07 am

see you later have a good snooze lol

4:18 am

Is anyone out there?

4:18 am

Hi Ferrari and hello to all the sick & injured Babblers out there. I'm just keying what I've found on paper. How are you today?

4:20 am

fine thanks jacula how are you?

4:20 am

Hi Ferrari - How are you liking this one? I hated theone before and thisone isn't being any kinder to me:(

4:21 am

I'm fine, too, thanks. Seems we are in the minority today - being well, that is. Shopping day today so I won't be here long.

4:21 am

Hi Dianne, the bottom right hand corner is very lucrative

4:24 am

how are you doing with the 8's and 9's? I'm missing one c9/72 and c8/50, d8/45

4:25 am

Dunno yet, F. Still keying in.

4:28 am

hi ferrari, your co9 builds off a co7/36. any clues for the c8 by chance?

4:30 am

co8 - past tense of a co6/24

4:32 am

zoom there's a clue in my last post, read it carefully

4:33 am

thanks ferrari & jacula! did you get the co9?

4:33 am

hang on sorry that is the c8 I've got

4:34 am

OMG now I'm really confused ( doesn't take much), that's th c9/72 I've got

4:35 am

ie what Prince Philip is

4:36 am

that was the c9 i had, don't know if there're any more. sorry if i confused you.

4:37 am

according to earlier posts there are 2 c9/72's

4:39 am

that's cheered me up no end!

4:39 am

4:40 am

Morning folksies :) cr8/50 & cr9/72 - what you do to your sheds, fences...gives you that REAL garden smell ands traps flies while it's drying.. lol

4:41 am

4:42 am

but you can have a painter why not a cr******r

4:43 am

I meant I'd found 126 words. Got 132 left to find.:-( Will have to get back to them later. Gonna have a couple of boild eggs now, feed cats etc., etc. TTFN.

4:43 am

*boiled eggs. See, my brain needs food! 'Bye again.

4:44 am

Morning ferrari, Jacula. I was think the same thing about the other co9 as well. I guess Enable is in one of 'those' moods...

4:45 am

for goodness sake don't go near you computer with a boiled egg, it babble crashed yesterday when I put my egg in. see you later lol

4:45 am

Hello everyone :)

4:45 am

morning lola

4:46 am

Morning babe :) Sorry about yesterday :(

4:46 am

Anj ... I think u r right about the 'mood' cos there are a few words in this one that are not accepted which you could question

4:47 am

No worries babe :) Left you a message at last :)

4:48 am

Your're right mad...Imean if you can make 3 x c6 out of the c4 you wear, why can't you do it to the longer stuff. That's english for you. It knows when it's coming and going but doesn't bother to tell you lol

4:50 am

and 2 of the c6's can have another letter infront of them to make a couple of c7's

4:51 am

You can make 3x c6? I've only got two... :( And I've just had a look at the stats, all those 8's and 9's.....is this one as bad as it looks?!

4:51 am

ummm yes :)

4:52 am

Oh - a couple of clues before I disappear for a while. The old 60s/70s DJ known as Emperor is in there (ro6/24). He's just below the gnawing creature (ro6/21) on the list.

4:52 am

sorry not c 7's but you get the idea

4:55 am

great clues , the r and d 9's sound the same

5:04 am

...whoops, in non-Babble land for a mo there :/ Yup, 3rd c6 is a double vowel ending :)

5:06 am

*slaps forehead* Of course, should have remembered that one! Be te6/21 with me today babe, I think I'm going to need it!!!

5:08 am

Blimey Jacula, that's stirred a memory lol... Emperor Ro6/24. Didn't he come to R1 from Radio Luxembourg?

5:08 am

Lola, lol, I don't know any other way ;)

5:10 am

brandyjack is back...........soooooooooooo glad

5:13 am

Coo, the co4/6 you get cobs on has 3 x c6 from it as well :)

5:14 am

Thanks babe :) I suppose we could say that lotti had torgone co8/55 the other night?

5:16 am

5:16 am

...and have better pictures...

LOL! Thanks for clearing that up for me! I didn't see many countdowns (and obviously none with the word leotard in it!) but I was very sad to hear he'd passed away.

For those who, like me, can't go to show all messages without going into deep freeze - I've found that I can access old posts by doing "prev 50" or "next 50" - this doesn't seem to cause meltdown. You probably all knew that already, but I only discovered it yesterday.

7:07 am

Hi everyone...just scanned through the chat log and seen something about Green Day (hurrah) so decided to say hello rather than lurking :)

7:08 am

Getting better thanks, Ferrari. Loving the joke there, since aspirin makes everything seem wildly funny. If only laughing didn't hurt!

7:11 am

carolecs I've now got the same thanks to everybody. will see you all later lol

7:12 am

See ya Ferrari ^_^

7:12 am

re all the sore throats and colds...there is a wonderful remedy available, at leasy in the uS, which actually works and can be purchased at any pharmacy. It's called Zicam and is a throat spary which you use at the first sign of a cold. sore throat, whatever. It is mainly zinc, and has been shown in solid research to head things off or to seriously lessen the duration and severity of colds. My family and friends have been using it for several years now and it is amazing. But you have to use it early on and keep using it until the aliens stop attacking. the mucous membranes. I promise I hold no stock in the product!

7:12 am

it's alright Britain needs lurks

7:14 am

I use Echinacea when people around me start to get colds, 9 times out of 10 I then avoid them.

7:14 am

thanks eva you're a mine of information , what would we do without you lol

7:14 am

Thanks Eva, will check that out. Hopefully the aspirin will bully the sore throat into submission though

7:15 am

I like Airborne but you have to take it either before you get sick or at the 1st symptoms.

7:15 am

carolecs: Echinachea, brilliant stuff! ;o)

7:15 am

Ooh, I just googled Zicam 1st thingy was about side effects ie loss of taste or smell, no smell can't taste chocolate bad zicam

7:16 am

I'm a big fan of Echinacea, too... great stuff!

7:16 am

The colds or the people? Avoiding that is. Avoiding people would definitely work - but I sort of like them (some of the time anyway) (-:

7:16 am

*gasps* What is life without taste?!

7:16 am

Oh, good morning, all... hadda jump in with herbal remedies endorsement, LOL!

7:16 am

what's Airborne, apart from planes that is

7:17 am

*stifles gag about birds*

7:17 am

Red wine would be tasteless,so would steak, oysters life would be crappier

7:17 am

*covers ears* I refuse to listen, Carolecs!

7:17 am

ferrari -- it was invented by a teacher and its called airborne cause its mainly used on planes, but basically, its a pill that protects you from like every germ thats carried in the air... pretty neat stuff!

7:18 am

do you mean an oyster's life would be crappier without a sense of taste?

7:18 am

Hi lorna, hows your head

7:18 am

Yes, it's true that one fairly common side effect of sinc in any form is to lose one's sense of taste - I discovered this after complaining that some lemonade I had ordered had no lemon in it. But it is very temporary, taste comes back within about 12-24 hours of not using the zicam and with a cold one can't taste anything anyway. I've never lost my sense of smell.

7:18 am

Has anyone any clues for the le7/36 and le6/24? Thanks

7:19 am

evanadine can you get it in the UK?

7:19 am

Airborne is a tablet you dissolve in water that contains all sorts of cold fighting vitamins and minerals and stuff (including ecinachea). A school teacher who was sick of getting sick all the time created it. YOu take it before going into large crowds, onto planes, when you start feeling sick, etc. and it really does help.

7:19 am

I'm not sure if that's what she meant, Ferrari...but it's true, what else do oysters have to amuse themselves!? Poor things...

7:20 am

le7, what a vicar/ preacher stands at

7:20 am

ferrari, i have no idea, but i have a feeling you probably cant... :/

7:20 am

le6: reader

7:21 am

miyavi they are aphrodisiacs ,perhaps they can self medicate

7:22 am

Thanks for clues, got them both

7:22 am

Lol ferrari, me eating oysters would be pointless if I can't taste them, oh dear what have I started tee hee, gotta go for dinner now, cathcha l8ter

7:23 am

I really must go. 191/3073. thanks for all the chat it makes babble what it is. lol :)

7:23 am

I guess, but at the bottom of the sea what else is there to do but eat? They must get bored out of their oyster minds...

7:24 am

Okay, see you :)

7:25 am

I don't know. It must take a lot of time and energy to make pearls. They have their jobs cut out for them.

7:25 am

Hi, I'm back :) What did you guys do with Anj?

7:28 am

8:11 am

Thanks mom :)

8:11 am

Yumm Yummy..... it sounds great.... I am baking a birthday cake for daughter number 2 today.... probably Crazy Chocolate cake... she loves it.

8:11 am

My pleasure.

8:14 am

Blaze is that the version where the mixture is white or milk or dark chocolate all in one cake so that when toy cut it ,it looks like multi choc marble?

8:15 am

No.... it is a chocolate cake with no eggs or milk....makes it crazy....Really chocolaty---rich and moist.

8:15 am

Sounds good.

8:16 am

It is good and you can mix it in the pan that you are using to bake it in... making clean up a breeze.....

8:17 am

The best kind of cooking.Cleaning up can spoil the fun.

8:18 am

That's good lola... we had some incidents int his country with poorly supervised daycares where the children were fighting... bad scene... then there's the nature of the beast of simply being 2... or 3... or 4, LOL!

8:19 am

Back again :) ...missed me? Or do I have to feel insecure for a bit lol

8:19 am

Tell me about it, Macadam. I find the worst washing up comes after a roast. Could there be anything worse than a greasy roasting tin?! *shudders*

8:19 am

The missing e is et 5/14

8:19 am

Hi Anj :)

8:19 am

Blaze how old is your daughter? Gwyd just turned four past Saturday & I had the thrill of making a dinosaur cake, yum!

8:19 am

Hi Miyavi :) I see you're not a well bear :( How's the throat??

8:20 am

Good morning everyone! :)

8:20 am

Thanks Cmith

8:20 am

Ah, I'm feeling like such a faker now, because the throat is fine again. *hangs head in shame*

8:21 am

I`m lucky.I married a cook.He does the savoury and I do the sweet. My washing up hate is curry.Love eating it though so I grin and bear it.

8:21 am

*stealth hug*

8:21 am

Anj we always miss you.... Jera this daughter is 34 today..... I am making the cake in a rose type silicon rubber pan.... done all the kids cakes long ago they are fun tho' The best was a cat litter box cake.....

8:21 am

Sore throats come & go quickly for me, especially this time of year, especially if I'm a bit stuffy & sleep with my mouth open (LOL). Morning fluids take care of it...

8:22 am

Oh please... I'm eating... no gross cake talk, I beg you!

8:22 am

Miyavi spray your roast pan with PAM or something like that... it helps lots for clean up or line with foil....

8:23 am

Cat litter box cake?!

8:23 am

Although I will say I had some pressure to make the dino cake red velvet... can you imagine?

8:23 am

hahaha...the grease will always find it's way around the foil...it's a conspiracy!

8:24 am

roastabags?

8:24 am

Jera, that reminds me of the armadillo cake from Steel Magnolias! lol

8:25 am

Chessy YES the roast bags are great...forgot about those... I love putting the meat, veg and potatoe in and then go about my day. Yummy,..

8:25 am

Hello everybody - Another biggie! I see the fave subject for chat is still food! The worst washing up chores for me are scrambled egg and porridge pans. Seperately of course. I have a Dora the Explorer cake to make for the 3 yr old next week.

8:25 am

Kitty cat.... http://www.fabulousfo ods.com/recipes/dessert/cakes/ kittylittercake.html It is actually delicious.... great for Halloween

8:27 am

Lotti love your new icon

8:27 am

The lurid green frosting was bad enough for me (on the dinosaur)... I always make devil's food for my kids... always appropriate...

8:27 am

Hi Lotti :)

8:27 am

Bad luck lotti.Where in Town?

8:27 am

Afternoon! Should be in Tesco but that can wait an hour. Hints for the long ones please.................

8:28 am

My son is obssess with Dora the Explorer!! He's watching a tape right now, LOL

8:28 am

Thanks Blaze...it`s for frisky Torgone lol :)

8:28 am

Hi lotti!!! Anj- mmmmm, thanks babe ;)

8:28 am

If you say so Anj, but I always end up feeling really guilty! Though not guilty enough to go back to school in time for maths...^_^

8:28 am

Greetings snowyowl, my fine feathered friend!

8:29 am

We have Dora day & night here! Orders are - must be chocolate, must have grass, must have crocodiles, must have turtles & choclate fingers around the sides. I'm good at the grass bit I made football pitches for her father for about 6 years!

8:29 am

He's kinda getting into the new Diego spinoff... has a beanie buddy leopard that he carries around & calls Baby Jaguar...

8:31 am

Hi all - Another long one I see... I would take Dora over the Wiggles any day! That's all my 2-year-old wants to watch right now. Can't stop singing "Move Your Arms Like Henry" !!

8:31 am

Miyavi.Glad you are feeling better.Don`t let the guilt get you now.Sick teachers can get better half wa y through the day too.Not many of them go back to work!!!!!

8:31 am

Would you believe M&S and BHS of all the places in the world! Looks like a brown suit with orange accessories or a black with peacock blue pinstripes and accessories! Saw some "fab" shoes in New Look!

8:31 am

Well, I discovered I am NOT good at writing on cakes... looked positively Halloweenish... hmmm, that's an idea, LOL! Sprite is completely into planning the Halloween party already... I held her until after Gwyd's birthday or there'd be no money (or time) for his big day!

8:32 am

Hi Jera, Good luck with the potty training! Our 3 yr old has been trained for 4 months now & has just come out of nappies at night. Doing really well at the mo - fingers & legs crossed!

8:32 am

Fruit salad... yummy, yummy... fruit salad... yummy, yummy!

8:32 am

I'll take your word for it, Macadam! ^_^ The worst thing at the mo is not being able to talk. That's a tough one for me...

8:32 am

Anj, help! How do I send stuff from lime to media player to burn? I can do it one song at a time by asking the song to play first but it's taking forever.... there must be a way to send a block of stuff in one go?!

8:33 am

I think I`ll just say "no comment"

8:33 am

NO NO Jera !! Please stop!! ;)

Top of the mornin' to ya!

8:33 am

OMG the Wiggles - favourite of the 2 yr old. He sings Dorothy the Dinosaur plus actions all day long. Where did they get those creepy men from?

8:34 am

I'm off for baking and breakfast... and a nap before everyone comes for lunch....

8:35 am

Anything Aussie is okay in my book... did any Scots go to Australia back in the day? It's really weird, the feeling I get about Australia...

8:35 am

Bye Blaze!

8:35 am

Guten Morgan, ToeSockMonkey (trying to make up for missing my German class)

8:36 am

Good afternoon, all... I shouldn't start, really shouldn't, with my day mostly over already and so many words. But you know... the mind is willing...

8:37 am

They are creepy and annoying... yet somehow strangely attractive in a way... Hey TSM - another long lunch planned today? :)

8:37 am

At least with Dora, he's learning a second language (kinda sorta). Gwyd can count to 10 in Spanish no problem (20 in English)! The kids get enough Aussie slang from me, LOL!

8:38 am

My 4 year old is already into Kim Possible on Disney! He absolutely love Rufus, the naked mole rat.

8:39 am

OMG... you haven't lived til you've heard a preschooler do the Naked Mole Rat Rap...

8:39 am

I have the double whammy -- Yu-Gi-Oh obsession for the 5 y.o. and Wiggles for the 2 y.o. Yikes! I liked the Scooby Doo obsession MUCH better!

8:39 am

We had our KP phase, now Sprite has moved on to Winx & Tokyo Mew Mew

8:39 am

Count your blessings, soon they will all be sulky teenagers like me!

8:40 am

LOL!

8:40 am

You should see mine sing and dance to it... we actually had to buy the Kim Possible CD

8:40 am

We are having flashes of teen-ness at 9... I'm scared!!

8:41 am

aledgedly there are 2 x fe6/30, I have the one that is to do with cars, any clue on the other one?

8:41 am

Jera, I know what you mean, my 9-year-old is having them already too.

8:41 am

Woah! At only 9? Do you have a death wish? :)

8:42 am

FMitch: afraid

8:42 am

don't be scared FMitch, past tense of f4/7 ...

8:42 am

Fmitch: scared

8:42 am

mornign all...

8:43 am

Fortunately we have fencing to work off some hormones, plus she's writing a book... I think it will end up being a play, though...

8:43 am

Hi baggo :)

8:43 am

Hi Bobsta :)

8:44 am

Greetings, newcomers!

8:45 am

that was one of those words that you look at a dozen times and just miss that fact that it WILL fit the grid - thanks

8:45 am

If she's anything like me in a strop the best option is to lock her in a room with sound-proof walls and big pillows for several hours.

8:45 am

Hiya lotti ;o)

8:46 am

Mine is a boy and already moody, bigmouthed, unexplainably unhappy and in his own way half of the time, lol. Poor kid. Poor parents. But we'll manage.

8:46 am

How you doing? Keep missing you lately!

8:47 am

Snowyowl, the main problem with the potty training for us is himself is just too busy to stop & tcob. So I set a timer & that is working pretty well... that & the flushing when he poops.. scores big, LOL!

8:47 am

ok, i just have to tell someone, cause there is noone here...i just ran into my first love at the coffee shop, i have no make-up on and barely combed my hair...ugh, i guess that will teach me...(it's been 15 years since i saw him)

8:48 am

Sprite... is he in sports? I highly recommend fencing! Very cool & works off a lot of steam...

8:48 am

Isnt that always the way it has to go. :( Well, even though you have so moved on, did you get butterflies?

8:48 am

sprite we started lacrosse...with my same as yours to a tee son who's 10

8:49 am

Bet he still fancies you Baggo!! ;) You`re beautiful we know....... The nurses outfit would do it for him!

8:49 am

It's me needs locking up with tantrums in our house. I had 2 really laid back teenagers & husband ditto - and then there was me!!!!! Calm down is a banned phrase in our house.

8:49 am

bergery you know it...wow how those feelings come back...i did call my hubby and tell him who i saw, all he said was i've been telling you to wear make-up more.

8:49 am

Lacrosse is cool... I'm putting Gwyd in that next year, since Sprite is teaching him soccer at home

8:49 am

NURSES OUTFIT????? Woooo hoooo!!!

8:50 am

Jera - with the potty training, the timer worked for us too. Sat him in there for 5 min. after every meal. He finally got it... but it was a long road...

8:50 am

Good tip, Jera, I'll give that a try. He was into football, but that didn't work out. Is playing a lot for fun now, though. And scouting suits him very well. But another sport might be just what he needs.

8:50 am

bobsta knew that would perk you up...lol

8:50 am

i ran into mine not too long ago. it really is amazing how feelings can rush right back. Check out your hubbies response. ha ha ha.

8:51 am

It works every time doesn`t it Baggo!!!!

8:51 am

Snowyowl... my favorite phrase is: I can yell louder than you, LOL! We are all loud except for my husband. he is very non-confrontational. I encourage my kids to yell back, especially if they think I'm wrong (it's happened once or twice)! We are passionate, then it's over & we get on with our lives...

8:51 am

Perk up???

8:51 am

Baggo, nooooo! Did you kick your loving husband? I think your first love just liked you fine the way you were ;)

8:52 am

For our son, we put up a poster by the toilet and when he went, he got to put a sticker on it. When he filled it up, he got a small toy, like a matchbox car. Worked like a charm, he was totally trained in 2 1/2 weeks.

8:52 am

afternoon bob,busy?

8:52 am

jera too bad it's not still warm, i let my kids run naked in the back yard with the potty chair out there and made a huge game, even let 'em pee on a tree...and then brought the chair inside and worked, cheerios work too, like to aim at something.

8:53 am

Wotcha Greg, not been too bad. how about you?

8:53 am

Potty training is wearing tho' isn't it? Then they finally get it and are really suprised when you're praising them to high heaven, wondering why you're making all that fuss!

8:53 am

Stickers didn't work here, & he snuck & ate all the m&m's, LOL. We are making progress with hugs & I'm so proud of my big kid speeches. Braggin to Daddy when he gets home is fun, too!

8:54 am

yeah sprite, bet he's expecting the uniform and make-up with my hair done too when he gets home. i should do it and then go to work. they'd all freak out there if i should up in more than just blush and eye shadow...might even do lipstick...lol

8:54 am

I was especially proud yesterday when himself was dry after 4 shots at the doctors!!! I think I'd have peed my pants after that, LOL!

8:55 am

The cake talk is killing me....trying to lose weight. Wouldn't it be nice if fantasizing eating was as satisfyiing as doing it?

8:55 am

8:55 am

jera having just got my shots, earlier this week, he should get huge stickers for that...cause i wanted to pee my pants they hurt so bad... bobsta are ya perkin up on your side of the pond???

8:57 am

Ours is a noisy house too - Its mostly me tho! My 27 yr old daughter has got to the ' poor menopausal mum' stage - so condescending! but as I remind her - she's got it all to come!

8:57 am

Greg: can you tell Wardi that his E-Mail still hasn't come through

8:57 am

Eva, it would be even more wonderful if fantasizing about slimming was effective as doing it.

8:57 am

*as effective as*

8:58 am

4 shots - yikes :( I always feel bad for the little ones when they have to get poked so much...

8:58 am

Oh yes - what a thought!

8:58 am

School run time, see you all later :)

8:59 am

Bye lotti!

8:59 am

bye lotti..

8:59 am

see ya later lotti ;o)

8:59 am

The good news is he's all set for school now, no more shots until tetnus for camp.

9:01 am

Training Sprite was a breeze, I just took her with me whenever I went, which is pretty often. We have a tiny bathroom in this place, & no room for the potty chair... until I had the bright idea to put it in the bathtub, LOL!

9:02 am

Later Lotti

9:02 am

Glad you give me good references, Jera ;)

9:02 am

Baggo... we haven't even started the peeing standing up... leaving that to Daddy....

9:02 am

cheers for the word greg :D

9:03 am

I keep trying to spell apnea...

9:05 am

I'm trying to remember to wear lipstick when I go out... I never wear makeup. But I do love fancifyl fingernails... often bright green with bronze accents (Girl Scouts)

9:05 am

jera let him sit backwards on the toilet seat...less mess

9:06 am

Very fitting D6 here in view of the conversation in the log.

9:07 am

bob wardi recons you should have recieved the email :S

9:11 am

His seat has a guard thinging that sticks up... no problem there...

9:11 am

LOL Sprite :)

9:12 am

dont forget about the p4/7 that follows too...lol

9:13 am

My sons best friend was once heard saying 'Richie can pee all the way to the top of the bathroom curtains! Playing fire engines is not a good way to potty train boys!

It's cold here this morning! When I got up at 5am it was about 45 degrees! *shivers*

LOL Snow :)

9:15 am

I'm missing an 8 (among many other things). I have the 2 mulelike a's, and the right angle and what causes fires in my chimney. Clues for the remaining one?

9:16 am

Where are you TSM?

9:16 am

Yeah, but then I C8 him, put on my C6/24 and Sc7/40 him until he T6/21 and now I am his A6/21 :)

9:17 am

lol sprite...it's a great puzzle to be able to do that with... 8-)

9:18 am

I am having a great time, the words keep coming so fast I can hardly keep up typing them. I will run dry of course, but as long as it is lasting...

9:20 am

i felt that way when i started when the puzzle first caem up, i was bouncing all over the place finding words...down to the last 25 and they are a bit slower in coming...just found a ton of t's thought i'd already found...so...

So Bugzy, what are you doing for lunch today? ;)

9:23 am

Well, I'm off for a dte with Paul Bettany... my friend is coming over to watch The Reckoning with me... later, all!

9:23 am

bye jera...see ya later..

9:24 am

Actually, TSM, I am shoe shopping. Have to go to a bachelorette party this weekend and I don't have the right shoes to go with the outfit... (That sounds so 'Sex in the City'!) Speaking of, what are *your* lunch plans? ;)

9:25 am

I am sorry, Eva, I only have 1x8 so far, the C.

9:27 am

eva...here are the 8's a8/45 a8/40 c8/55 c 8/50 d8/45

9:28 am

When your behind hurts, aren't you assore?

9:28 am

LMAO!!

9:29 am

rofl sprite...

9:31 am

*giggling fit*

9:32 am

well i'm off for a bit...gotta go help co-chair a post partum depression support group...see ya all in a bit...

Bugzy- Shoe shopping sounds fun to me! And what a great way to break them in! Bachelorette party! Woo! My lunch plans will be dull today. :( I am going to eat alone and more then likely have Subway or some things along those lines.

9:32 am

how many words am I looking for???

Sprite! LMAS!

9:33 am

258

223 Words

9:33 am

Good luck, baggo!

9:33 am

258 words

9:33 am

hey i want tsm puzzle...them i would be done...lol

9:33 am

Woah...changing the conversation a bit, I just found out Ian Huntley has been sentenced

9:34 am

ty sprite see ya in a bit..

9:34 am

TSM - Where are you that it's so cold this morning?? Wondering if it's coming my way ... It's been warm here but today is a bit chilly too.

OOPS! Yeah 258.... That 223 number was how many I have left to find ROFL

9:34 am

Is it for life meaning life?

9:35 am

40 years in jail

9:35 am

no i think he only got like 40 years...

Bugzy - I am in Chicago! The great windy city! Home of Al Scarface Capone! *wink*

9:36 am

Should be longer.

9:36 am

Thanks I'll take that as 258 as being right and not 223. Mind you ....bad news for me haha

9:36 am

yes, don't know every detail but the bit i got over here, should've been much longer...

9:36 am

ten times longer

9:36 am

40 years before any chance of parole

9:38 am

should be waaaaay, waaaaay longer. Like you said, Macadam, should be a life sentence MEANING life

9:38 am

TSM - The bachelor party is being held this weekend in Chicago... bride and groom live there but are from Detroit (where I am)... just went to visit them 2 weeks ago.... I *LOVE* Chicago! So the weather is coming my way...Yuk

9:39 am

Our littlies are just home from school & it just makes us realise how lucky we are. A sentence for that crime can never be long enough. We really have to try to reach a place where our children don't have to be wrapped in cotton wool but can still be safe.

Bugzy - Yeah weather might head that way. Got rain all day yesterday from the south and it was colder out but today is sunny and brisk. Sweater or light coat weather. Check www.weather.com and type in your zip coad and it will givey ou the weather every hour of the day for the next 10 days.

9:41 am

the thing that gets me is that(if I heard it right) the judge said that because the 2 girls had not been abducted and there was no conclusive proof of sexual stuff he could only reccommend the 40 years!

9:41 am

Speaking of littlies - its Rainbow Guides for me today so goodbye until tonight. Happy babbling

9:42 am

Really? I just read that even though he would be up for parole in 40 years, the descision would be up to another judge and there's little or no chance of him ever being released.

Bugzy - You are so close! I was in Detroit about a month ago for business! But the party sounds like a great time! You know your way around this crazy city alright? lol I still get lost now and then! :)

9:43 am

G'day, Babble mates.

9:44 am

Hi Judi :)

Judi! How are ya? :)

9:44 am

Bugzy - it's supposed to get down to about 35 degrees in SE Michigan tonight. We'll all be shivering come morning!

9:44 am

miyavi, haven't listened to the news since lunchtime so might be a bit behind the times

9:45 am

My best friend and I go to CHI every year... girls' weekend... this time we saw Wicked (excellent) and had a spa pampering day. It was lovely! Hi Judi :)

9:46 am

uh huh. I read it just now on my computer, so hopefully he will never get out

9:46 am

little chance he will ever be released, he willb e70 ish by then if he lives that long he has already been attached a couple of times

9:46 am

refinnej - 35? Yikes! Not ready for the cold weather. Been enjoying the long summer....

9:47 am

trouble with this log is that you get so caught up in reading and/or participating in the chat that you forget to look for words!

9:47 am

attached?

9:47 am

i mean attacked not attached ! ooops!

9:48 am

*giggles* okay, makes more sense now *grins* :)

9:48 am

I was just about to ask you: attached to what?!

9:48 am

i had a giggle anyway!

9:49 am

At least that type of criminal is the least popular with the inmates... he'll have a rough time.

9:50 am

And if he ever does get out, I still can't imagine him winning any popularity contests :/

9:51 am

ok, anyone have a clue for the 2nd i? I have the id 4/5

9:52 am

i think i must have meant he should be attached to a rope round his neck!

9:52 am

It's what Ian Huntley is - but without the k.

9:52 am

I am pretty sure I am capable of murder. If anyone would ever do such a thing to my kids, I don't think I can vouch for my law-abiding abilities.

9:54 am

If they do, I'll be your alibi ^_^

9:55 am

hmmm... perhaps a clue a dumb american can get??? google told me who teh sicko was... but none of the things *I* would call him work...

9:55 am

kc... another word for sicker

10:08 am

Congratulations, lianakate, enjoy the celebrations :)

10:08 am

10:10 am

I have 3 ce5's

10:11 am

Miyavi, it's Madasafish and, bless'em, they actuallt put a warning on their tech site to let members know there were big problems. Ther's was the only sire I could access. Every other, and I mean every other site wouldn't respond :/ I've had to revert to IE6, delete all cookies & temp files, reset all my internet seetings and start from scratch to get a pulse... Mind you, i've just got Firefox working with LastFM so there's life out there somewhere...

10:12 am

Thanx Lola :')

10:13 am

I have 2xCO7

10:14 am

Anj, I've been gone for the last hour too. Had to put some of that music on disc, lime is slowing babble down too much. I asked you for help earlier but managed to figure it out myself :) Not even half way thru' with the words!!!

10:14 am

refinnej - I just hope it has a non-controversial outcome!! Don't want to be arguing over game clocks, ref calls, etc. for the next 10 years!! :) Of course, that said, I do want my Spartans to win, too!

10:35 am

Bonjour everyone -- does anyone have any clues for the 9s? I've got cr9...

10:36 am

Well, that was a bit of a fright: page went blank, something flashed by and then the babble page reappeared... only with the last word I found. Back to square one, from more than halfway. But alt+refresh and it is back, hurray! Might go to firefox after all, this is getting irritating.

10:36 am

10:38 am

Sprite, my ISP bit the dust earlier. Apparently one of the big providers has got a problem and it's caused browser issues with certain sites for a large number of ISPs. It blanked me out of this one for 90 mins.

10:38 am

mmmm!!!!!

10:39 am

Anyone have clues for any of the 8s or 9s yet?

10:39 am

10:51 am

But Anj! It's a school night! lol! Sounds like fun :)

10:52 am

Still not getting the co9 clues... A bit dense, you know.

10:53 am

movieman - it's the sticky goop they use to weatherproof railroad ties and telephone poles..

10:53 am

cr8 is a foul-smelling liquid that is used as a wood preservative; cr9 is the past tense of cr8

10:53 am

Torgone I understand you co9 with lotti a few hours ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10:53 am

any clues for either the a8/40 or the d8? :)

10:55 am

Torgone, some Edmund Spencer for you: "For all that pleasing is to living eare,Was there 'co9' in one harmonee, Birdes, voyces, instruments, windes, waters, all agree."

10:55 am

co9 is the past tense of co7, which is another word for the Queen's hubby

10:55 am

just jo: as 8/40 - change the last letter of your as 8/45

10:55 am

10:59 am

Anj, that was brilliant!

11:00 am

Someone posted this clue: D/8 45, sounds like a robot Haven't found it yet.

11:00 am

just jo: unfortunately the di 8/45 (singular di 7/32) is an electrical term. It sounds like what you do when you want to lose weight plus a boy's name

11:01 am

fab clue Csmith!

11:02 am

Also brilliant, Cmith, found it right away.

11:02 am

you guys these clues are terrific thank you so much xxx

11:03 am

Are you sending the private jet then? lol!

11:03 am

Sprite: If you remember a kids movie from years ago that had the main characters inside a computer riding around on 'lightcycles' the movie name is the last 4 letters of the di/8 & 9 is plural.

11:03 am

does anyone else like to babble naked?

11:03 am

I'm missing the last 8 -- it's c8 (not the wood preservative)... any clues would be much appreciated!

11:04 am

Ahh, bodkin, I was wondering when you would show up...

11:04 am

sorry 7&8

11:04 am

11:05 am

Just missing 2 of those pesky r's...an r6/24 and an r7/40...if ne1 could assist me that would be a HUUUUUUUGE burden lifted off my shoulders... Muchos gracias...

4:23 pm

movieman have 1 r6/24 - to be sorry for an action

4:24 pm

Assuming the R6 and 7 are related, when you sneak open a christmas gift early, you have to rewrap and re******* it, don't you?

4:25 pm

CATHB scrambled brains must be the dish of the day! Had v late dinner (visit from the vic.) so will be up till late again digesting it! Sam was a great help tonight.

4:26 pm

thanks snowy - she enjoyed it too

4:28 pm

Please - I need a clue for co7/52! Thanks!

4:30 pm

Co7/52 - related to the co4/6 - it's how you want your beef cattle to be. Or how you'd describe a very nice person from the midwest.

4:31 pm

Thanks, CSA! You are such a BIG help, you have no idea how close I was to pulling out all my hair!

4:32 pm

I need one more re6/24 - I already have the ones that meant to feel sorry for and to record again...what the hell is the other...

4:32 pm

oc 5 and oc 6... help!

4:32 pm

Movieman - one of the 6/24's means to confess

4:33 pm

Re6/24 to Ta4/6 again.

4:34 pm

movieman just got another one re6/24 - if you retrace your steps you might re_ _ _ _ a particular landmark

4:34 pm

Oc5 - a group of eight. Oc6 - "A marking that resembles an eye, as on the tail feathers of a male peacock; an eyespot"

4:35 pm

CSA/ AnneB - I already have those two, I'm looking 4 the third one...

4:36 pm

Re6/24 - pl of an Re5 - kind of military term meaning to go out and survey stealthily?

4:39 pm

There's an R6/24 that is also a man's name.

4:42 pm

movieman- do you have the one that uses the pa4/6? Go directly to jail, do not **** go?

...shields to 33% captain... Kirk, Spock, Tribbles, Uhuuuuura, shhhhhhst doors

7:48 pm

???? que?

7:49 pm

i'm with you babbler - what Anj - those kisses get to you?

7:49 pm

re is ehat happens with mirrors if you look at them... re....... glory Or maybe Duarn Duran.. the the thet the re.... without the X obviously but you're in the right direction *thinks: hmmm street creed problems here...*

7:50 pm

Oh cr*p :( Fingers are sponsored by Fosters tonight :'(

7:50 pm

ok re7/48 and 9/84 - you look in the mirror and you see your re------- minus the 'ion' then make it past tense

7:51 pm

EXCELLENT clues! got them without even looking at the grid! now for the de's......... (street cred intact -- you were just a kid then....)

7:52 pm

and Duran Duran were IT (I share my birthday with Simon Le Bon) (not same year)

7:54 pm

ok i know i'm missing the 2nd ce5/14 and the last co5/16, but can't figure out the other one missing - arg I hate colds!

7:56 pm

which ce5 do you have? the Anglo Saxon freeman?

7:56 pm

nope the music one - thanks

7:57 pm

just found it monkey-typing. def is: An edible fish (Scomberomorus regalis) of western Atlantic waters, having silvery sides and a dark-blue back. but you could say it the god of love (e4), with a c at teh beginning

7:58 pm

oh hang on........... you've got that haven't you? I'll get my coat.........

I'm new at this...I like your clues, but how do you know how many words start with __ __ ??? Is there a master list of clues or something?

8:01 pm

sorry babbler the first is the 3rd ce5/14, but i've got the anglo clue thanks

8:01 pm

ok that should say fish not first

8:02 pm

I will MARRY for Es at the moment. No strings attached, long brown hair, blue eyes... :)

8:02 pm

easternblue if you are a pro babbler it gives you the word list to work from. suggest you scroll back to the through the log and get the word lists.

8:03 pm

how may are there???????? quick, I'll count!!

8:03 pm

EasterBlue - Two ways; Read the log (hide icons, show all) someone will have posted a list of all words' beginning letters; Pro Babblersâ„¢ get to see a grid of all the letters with th enumber of words associated with each.

8:04 pm

Even though I proposed to you already, what e's do you need? the breakdown? i've got all of them

8:05 pm

ea5/12, ea4/4, ea6/21, en6/21, en5/12, eo4/4, ep7/40, er4/4, er5/12, er7/32, er4/4, et4/4, et5/14

8:05 pm

oh. *hangs head in defeat* : ( pout pout ... I've only got 5 e's.... :'( (Hovis music as Babbler exits...)

kristen/torgone...thanks! I'm not a "probabbler" (yet!)...but that almost seems like cheating! ( I was over 900 without understanding your clues/codes at first)...

8:06 pm

i'm going to run outside a smoke (yeah i know its bad for me) if you need clues on e's, i'll be back in a minute.

8:06 pm

grumble grumble..... always the bridesmaid, never the bride...... gnash gnash....

8:08 pm

EasternBlue - I love not knowing and finding out each grid as I go along. I'm not Pro either, partly cos I just spent a small fortune on new glasses cos I broke my old ones, and partly cos I agree, it's just like cheating. I love the mystery! And the chat, of course....

8:08 pm

EasternBlue - It's not cheating - you still only get the number of words associated with each tile in the grid, and the total number of words with each letter count. You still have to find the words yourself. It's not as much help as the clues and hints posted in the log. There are ways to cheat, however.

Babbler - do they post the maximum score too so you know how close (or far) you might be from the highest possible (I know they post the 'high score' the next day)?

8:10 pm

ahaaaaa!! I didn't know that. So you don't know any more than the rest of us?

Torgone - better to drive you crazy then!

8:11 pm

I've never seen the max score posted, only if someone states it in a message. If you scroll down (show all messages) you'll find all sorts of hints and info. I love Brandyjack's lists at the start of the day, but lots of people post info.

8:11 pm

Not much more. We do get the total word count - 258 today.

All - thanks...I like the challenge of just looking to find as much as I can...altho' I'm way off the 258!!

8:15 pm

easternblue i'd never make it without the two letter word counts - i scroll throughout the day and cut and paste them into a word document - at least then you can figure out what your missing - good luck this game is addictive

8:15 pm

The Pro-Babbler Stat Grid helps in some ways. For instance, if there are no words starting with, oh say, two of the a's in the grid, you'll see that and know not to waste time looking for words starting with those a's.

8:15 pm

I do the same! cut & paste clues into a word doc. Although I havent' today as I was only going to be here for an hour...........

8:16 pm

only an hour huh babbler - and that was how many hours ago?

8:17 pm

oh gawr... I don't know. I was still tiddled on 2 glasses of wine then. Very sober now! Errr. let's see. House just finished on Channel 5......... so, 11pm...... and now it's.... OMG!! Just looked at the clock! 2.20am! *gasps* how....???

8:18 pm

Kristin, well what can I say...I'm changing the laws and picking a ring for you both :) ..and Lola. Hello! do NOT get the photo opportunity OK. Babbler, the Hovis music is Going Home, from New World Symphony by Dvorak. I don't just know that, i've played it :) Kristin, the wedding cigars are Swisher Sweets...they're panatellas dipped in molasses...

8:18 pm

cor!!! I certainly picked the right tune then, didn't I?? Woweeee!

8:19 pm

Congrats Anj, on the most cryptic post I've seen here in some days.

8:19 pm

2:20 am - where are you at Babbler? Its 8:20 here in the U.S. outside of Nashville, Tennessee - yep a good ole southern girl here...

8:20 pm

South London. (or Sarf Lahndan, in the common vernacular) !

8:20 pm

oops, London UK

8:21 pm

Torgone, I try my best lol

8:21 pm

Babbler - Do you know where Frog Island is?

This game is becoming addictive...I only wanted to 'check it out" for a min. My hubby is watching the Yankee game...

8:22 pm

Now EasternBlue why'd you have to say the Yankees????

8:22 pm

I'm Bristol UK, currently sponsored by Fosters & Carlsberg which is why I'm tripping rather than tired :/

8:22 pm

kristin luv, put me out of my misery, what the ep7, please? EasternBlue - that's how we all got sucked in. I checked it out for a second one Sunday afternoon.........

8:23 pm

go yankees!!!!!

has brandyjack stopped posting the 2nd letter list, or am I just missing it?

8:23 pm

Babs, it ends in your last do4/5 and has an i in it :)

8:24 pm

what's Bristol like, Anj? I want to move out of London, but I don't know where.

8:24 pm

Brandyjack sometimes doesn't check in until late in the day.

8:24 pm

Babbler ep7 - A lustrous yellow, green, or black mineral, Ca2(Al, Fe)3(SiO4)3OH, commonly found in metamorphic rock. Yeah right huh, ok ep + i + one of your do4/5s.

I have become dependent on his list!

8:25 pm

Babbler, it's like London without the hassle. Not so 24 hour party central but it's still hip & happening.

8:25 pm

Anj did you get all the e's now?

8:26 pm

Hokie, what are you stuck on?

8:26 pm

I'm all done, but due to said gig and lager i'm still hyper...

8:27 pm

so, like Brighton?

8:28 pm

May I have help on the L words. I have (2) Le7/36 and Li4/4. Any help on the other two?

8:28 pm

got the ep7 !! wooo hooo!

8:29 pm

Not quite...mmm, Brighton is more avant garde really. Bristol is an average of London/Brighton sort of thing. The views are different. Ive had a suite in the Grand and you can't beat that for a first-thing-in-the-morning-blu e-sky-blue-sea experience

8:30 pm

Mary, le6/24, li6/21 and another li4/4

8:30 pm

good shopping? good weather? rain a lot? not?

8:31 pm

do you get spectacular sunrises?

8:31 pm

Would someone post the a's please or direct me to the time they were posted?

8:32 pm

Munner, cover me, I'm going in !! (Babbler dives into chat log..........)

8:33 pm

Thanx Anj

8:34 pm

Shopping? Put it this way, my mum keeps coming up to stay with me so she can do shoes. It's not bad. There's a Bluewater clone in the Mall. Weather is great. If there's a storm, it's Personal and I mean that. I've flown into bristol about 80 times in the last 3 years and the local weather is unique. Nearly crashed once as well :/ Never regretted moving here :)

8:35 pm

From an earlier post: ad 5/12; ad 6/21; ad 5/12; ad 7/32;ad 4/5; ai 4/5; ai 5/12; ap 4/7; ap 4/6; as 5/14; as 6/18; as 8/45; as 8/40;

8:35 pm

Babbler,watching your back...

8:35 pm

Heya mab!

8:37 pm

mab beat me to it! : ) thx for watching out, Munner!

8:37 pm

Babbler, we get hot air balloons at 6am in the morning. I wouldn't give a t*ss but they keep trying not to crash in my place :/

8:37 pm

Yo Torgone. Have you finished?

8:38 pm

OK, who's the favourite for the Superbowl this year? Who got the best deaft pick and who was he??? Answers! answers!

8:39 pm

cor Anj, you're really selling Bristol to me. Sounds great. Shoes!! Sunrises!!!!! (my fave) Fab storms! What about driving around? (I'm scared of London roads so don't drive here). And what about links to Manchester? (family)

8:39 pm

I loath football.

8:40 pm

mab, aren't there 16 a words? I have the same ones on your list?

8:41 pm

Babs, roads are OK...not great, but i've driven in both places and Bristol wins by a country mile. South West Air fly to Manchester from Bristol for anything from £20 a time. Or there's the M5...

8:41 pm

really a little too early in the season for a superbowl favorite - i love the indianapolis colts though

8:41 pm

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! H A HA HA HA AH HA HA HA HA HA !!! HEE HEE HEE HEE!!! Finished?!?!?!?!? WOO OO!!!! You crack me up! Stop it!! I'm serious!! Heh Heh Heh... Yeah... Um, no. Not finished. Not going to finish. I experience an extreme loss of ambition about this time of day, and if I'm not close....I play in the chat log and get a couple more words.

8:42 pm

my bad. I just went back to the beginning of the chat log. I couldn't read my writing and thought it was 16. WooHoo! I'm finished with the a's.

8:43 pm

torgone i'm with you - 200 words and that's it for me today - besides time to close up show here and get home.

8:43 pm

Anj and Babbler thanks for all your help - chat with you soon - good night.

8:43 pm

How does Bristol compare to Manchester? (both being student cities)

8:43 pm

Sweet dreams kristin.

8:44 pm

Torgone, you little luv. I'll make you a cuppa!! you sit down, dear. night kristin!! xxx

8:44 pm

Has anyone posted the D's, R's & S's. I lock up if I try to go back to the beginning of the posts.

8:45 pm

Cover me!!! I'm going in!!! what do you want, Mary? Ds, R's and S's? ok....................

8:45 pm

Babbler, all 3 if possible, but will take any

8:45 pm

God speed, Babbler..

8:46 pm

just saw your post torgone - Frog Island???? dunno!

8:47 pm

'nite Kristin, take care :)

8:47 pm

Mary, you must not be from the US, or you would have said:"You da BOMB, Girl!!"

8:51 pm

*gasps for air!!!* : D did I find the right lists?? (are they complete?)

8:52 pm

I am a loony tonight. Only those first 4 words.

8:53 pm

Poxy S's. I shall not finish but shall march on 'til I can no longer hold up my head. I'm a bit humiliated that I don't do better with this game. Once the obvious words are exhausted, so am I.

mab...as a "newbie" to the game...it's all in the fun...I have a feeling I'll be here often! Good thing I can't access this while at work, I'd never get anything done!

8:55 pm

Hi, all. I'm missing one d4. Here's what I have: da4/5x2, de4/5x4, de4/7, do4/5x5 and do4/7 Can someone steer me in the right direction?

8:55 pm

Torgone...Frog Island...is it a waste management facility??

8:57 pm

That's the one, Anj. The company is called Shanks.

8:57 pm

Sorry Babs... I don't know Manchester so well.Only ever stayed in the centre and that was OK. Bristol seems more, well, vibrant though :)

8:57 pm

Just saw Babbler's posting about d's. I guess I should refresh more often. Got all my d's!! Finished! Woohoo! Any thing I can help with before I disappear into the depths of the laundry?

8:57 pm

smithchick - a couple da5/12's for starters.

8:58 pm

Where do you live, Torgone?

8:59 pm

Actually am from the US, in fact, Chicago. But I'm an old retiree, am surprised at myself for using the bomb word.

8:59 pm

Sunny San Diego, mab.

9:00 pm

You're only as old as your feet, Mary..

9:02 pm

Oh. Sounds nice; is it? I don't know California at all well. Have only been to San Francisco, and a very long time ago when the Zodiac murderer was still abroad.

9:02 pm

Young at heart. Too bad the aches and pains don't say the same.

9:03 pm

Shanks Waste Services. It's in the borough of Havering which might put it south of Dagenham. Just been looking at the planning report lol. The design looks good theough.

9:04 pm

Babbler, speakto me! Did the words get you??

9:04 pm

Food for thought, Anj, food for thought..... I was thinking of Stoke or up towards Cheshire, but that's toooooo close to home! : ) Thank goodness I don't live anywhere near Dagenham. (although I suppose I do compared to everyone else here!!) off to get ready for bed.... will probably be back to find "one more word"........... TTFN! xxx

9:05 pm

synchronicity !!

Bye Babbler..I'm sure I'll be back again...

9:07 pm

Bye Babbler and Eastern Blue (lovely name). Be seeing you again soon.

9:08 pm

Babs, i've worked in both Machester and Leeds and i'm not sure I could move there :/ Nottingham is OK, but if you're going to go north make it Cumbria or somewhere equally as spectacular :)

9:09 pm

hmmm.... good ideas .......... I was also thinking Lake District...........

9:09 pm

What do you do Anj? Waste management, rock and roll, very late nights....

9:10 pm

We make the machinery that separates the paper from containers, glass from plastic, etc. People throw their recyclables into one bin, which goes into one truck, which goes into one pile. Our stuff separates it into discrete commodities: aluminum, glass, plastic, and paper that can be reprocessed.

9:11 pm

In South London, if we don't recycle, we face a fine of £1,000 !! deffo getting ready for bed now...... back later....

9:11 pm

can anyone help with the c's please?

9:11 pm

Sweet dreams, Babbler.

9:12 pm

Actually I was asking Anj, but that's interesting Torgone. Why then do we work so hard seperating our recyclables?

9:12 pm

Mab, i'm just rock'n'roll, although I do training & dev when i'm working :) Torgone, sounds like the sort of thing that everyone takes for granted without actually appreciating what goes into the whole process.

9:17 pm

Separating your recyclables is something that is going by the wayside, as more communities realize the benefits of "single stream" recycling. If you don't have to separate it, more people will do it, which equals more compliance, which equals more matter diverted from landfills, which is the ultimate goal.

9:18 pm

So anyway..... Back to the puzzle..

Anj - up until 2 wks ago, I was also in Training & Dev...just moved into proj. mngmt...

9:19 pm

That's very cool. I'm crazy about recycling. U.S. culture is so very much about disposable everything.

9:23 pm

hi kids

9:26 pm

Torg, I spent 30 years of my life looking at a poorly disguised landfill site. Anything that alleviates that gets my vote. Now if only this govt could get its finger out of its ar$* we might get somewhere... Eastern...i've done proj man as well but i'm not sure I liked it lol :)

9:26 pm

re 9/84 - Is there a good clue out there somewhere?

9:26 pm

Hey, Boreetos. Escaped the clutches of the capitalist overlords yet??

9:27 pm

yes, and a long day it was.

Anj - after 11 years in the classroom, I needed the change + I like the PM team... : ) (altho' I think I'll miss the classroom stuff - but I haven't yet!)

9:27 pm

Your government! Our idiot of a leader doesn't believe in global warming. Don't get me started.

9:28 pm

Munner, you get them on bikes, cars, clothes and obstructions. Mirrors do it by trade... :)

mab - I think we'd be on the same page with that one!

9:28 pm

hey be fair mab, He's not our leader, hes a muppet.

9:29 pm

Munner - mirror

9:30 pm

Thanks togone, I had thought of that one but just kept trying the past tense.

9:31 pm

Eastern, I love the whole training thing. I was lucky enough to have overhead & back projection with full media support and PA. I just enjoy coaxing the best out of folk...it's more coaching really but it's a laugh :)

9:31 pm

And Anj, you answered so fast I didn't see it.

9:31 pm

Anj - Most governments are realizing the economic and ecological difference between throwing everything into a hole to rot, and selling most of that stuff for revenue, and landfilling the rest.

9:32 pm

Our muppet is in charge of appointing two judges to the Supreme Court. It is good, thoughh, isn't it, that you never even see Dick Cheney's lips move, not even a tiny bit.

That is an insult to the muppets...Kermit or Animal for Prez! oo \_/

9:37 pm

I hope so Torg...incinerators are a last resort. Er, Kyoto moment there Mab? It's already too late, just look at the weather patterns. Problem is there are economical issues to consider as well as environmental which screws with common sense and that sucks. It will be interesting if Hilary Clinton gets into the White House fromwhat i've heard...

9:39 pm

EasterBlue - I vote Animal; "Womwan!! Woman!! Woman!!"

Well all - my first attempt - over 2 hours, 100+ words, 1300+ points & I am ready to hit the hay...

thanks for the hints, suggestions, etc. Looking forward to more games! Night all!

9:40 pm

The game's the thing, EasternBlue. See ya next time!

9:42 pm

good point eastern blue, that is an insult to the muppets. Have you guys checked out season one of the muppet show on DVD yet?! It rocks!!

9:43 pm

could I have a clue for the co9 please?

9:44 pm

Co7/36 noun with an ending to make it an adverb I think it is

9:45 pm

verb

9:47 pm

Sorry. Calicomo think of the king or queen's partner; ad a suffix to make the 9.

9:47 pm

I stand corrected. Hmmmm. Forgot it already. Oh well. When a Prince marries a Queen, he may not become King, he may instead become a Prince Co*****. They are said to be Co*******.

9:48 pm

evening everyone, back from work cr9 - the bane of my existance, can I get a better clue than to re-record (again). It is driving me nuts! ;)

9:49 pm

Aha! I got it. Thank you.....

9:50 pm

mtnjock - cr9 is what railroad ties and telephone poles are.

9:51 pm

I need the 2nd re 5/12, the 4th, and 5th or 5th and 6th re 6/24/ and re 6/24. Is this confusing, or what?

9:52 pm

Think of the name of the horribly obese and disgusting person in MP's Meaning of Life.

9:52 pm

past tense of your 8; it's that black sticky smelly stuff that builds up in your chimney, or apply to various structures outdoors. Make it into a verb, as if anyone would actually use it that way.

9:52 pm

I am missing 6 c's Cna anyone please help? ce 4 6 ce 5 14 ce 4 6 co 4 6 co 6 27 co 6 24 co 6 24 co 4 7 co 5 16 co 4 7 co 5 16 co 5 16 co 4 6 co 7 36 co 9 72 co 4 6 co 5 14 co 4 6 co 6 24 co 6 27 co 6 24 co 8 55 co 7 52 co 4 6 co 4 6 co 5 16 cr 5 14

You need a ce 5/14.

9:53 pm

10:53 pm

Hi all, new to posting messages, not new to babble though! wondering if hokie is still here? Looks like a Va. Tech fan: my home state is VA -and I'm homesick :(

10:55 pm

welcome Jen.... Looking for clues for the re 9 and de 9 Pretty Please...

you had the re/9's on your bike when you were young

and as with the re/7 and de/7, swap out the first letter

(both 9s are singular -- sorry if I misled)

10:59 pm

I need coffee...thanks for the clues... now I am thinking about my bike.....when I was young..... I will get it yet....

11:01 pm

Blaze: re9 - a mirror with a suffix. Think of what a mirror does.

11:01 pm

Well, they say a mirror is a good re*******, but seeing your re*****ion in a pond is much more romantic.....

11:02 pm

maybe cos I didn't have a bike when I was young, I still can't get the re9

11:02 pm

That goes without saying.

11:03 pm

now I got it, thanks all

11:05 pm

thank you muchly.... that one is really ring around the rosy grid.....

11:11 pm

I'm giving in. Way too many words unfound, so I'm just going to gaze at the grid until time is up and see if any miracles pop out at me.

11:13 pm

6 left and I'm going rapidly insane...

11:14 pm
