you know blaze it really is. this game is evidence of that, we all bring whatever our background is and we just help people out. that's truly what it's all about both in the game and in our lives outside of here.

No thanks.My skin comes off easily enough when the eczema recurs.Fortunately not too often.It always surprises me how much it itches.You must get used to it although I wouldn`t believe anyone who told me that.

re all the sore throats and colds...there is a wonderful remedy available, at leasy in the uS, which actually works and can be purchased at any pharmacy. It's called Zicam and is a throat spary which you use at the first sign of a cold. sore throat, whatever. It is mainly zinc, and has been shown in solid research to head things off or to seriously lessen the duration and severity of colds. My family and friends have been using it for several years now and it is amazing. But you have to use it early on and keep using it until the aliens stop attacking. the mucous membranes. I promise I hold no stock in the product!

I use Echinacea when people around me start to get colds, 9 times out of 10 I then avoid them.

ferrari -- it was invented by a teacher and its called airborne cause its mainly used on planes, but basically, its a pill that protects you from like every germ thats carried in the air... pretty neat stuff!

Yes, it's true that one fairly common side effect of sinc in any form is to lose one's sense of taste - I discovered this after complaining that some lemonade I had ordered had no lemon in it. But it is very temporary, taste comes back within about 12-24 hours of not using the zicam and with a cold one can't taste anything anyway. I've never lost my sense of smell.

Airborne is a tablet you dissolve in water that contains all sorts of cold fighting vitamins and minerals and stuff (including ecinachea). A school teacher who was sick of getting sick all the time created it. YOu take it before going into large crowds, onto planes, when you start feeling sick, etc. and it really does help.

Good tip, Jera, I'll give that a try. He was into football, but that didn't work out. Is playing a lot for fun now, though. And scouting suits him very well. But another sport might be just what he needs.

For our son, we put up a poster by the toilet and when he went, he got to put a sticker on it. When he filled it up, he got a small toy, like a matchbox car. Worked like a charm, he was totally trained in 2 1/2 weeks.

EasternBlue - I love not knowing and finding out each grid as I go along. I'm not Pro either, partly cos I just spent a small fortune on new glasses cos I broke my old ones, and partly cos I agree, it's just like cheating. I love the mystery! And the chat, of course....
EasternBlue - It's not cheating - you still only get the number of words associated with each tile in the grid, and the total number of words with each letter count. You still have to find the words yourself. It's not as much help as the clues and hints posted in the log. There are ways to cheat, however.
Babbler - do they post the maximum score too so you know how close (or far) you might be from the highest possible (I know they post the 'high score' the next day)?

I've never seen the max score posted, only if someone states it in a message. If you scroll down (show all messages) you'll find all sorts of hints and info. I love Brandyjack's lists at the start of the day, but lots of people post info.

easternblue i'd never make it without the two letter word counts - i scroll throughout the day and cut and paste them into a word document - at least then you can figure out what your missing - good luck this game is addictive
The Pro-Babbler Stat Grid helps in some ways. For instance, if there are no words starting with, oh say, two of the a's in the grid, you'll see that and know not to waste time looking for words starting with those a's.
I do the same! cut & paste clues into a word doc. Although I havent' today as I was only going to be here for an hour...........

Shopping? Put it this way, my mum keeps coming up to stay with me so she can do shoes. It's not bad. There's a Bluewater clone in the Mall. Weather is great. If there's a storm, it's Personal and I mean that. I've flown into bristol about 80 times in the last 3 years and the local weather is unique. Nearly crashed once as well :/ Never regretted moving here :)

We make the machinery that separates the paper from containers, glass from plastic, etc. People throw their recyclables into one bin, which goes into one truck, which goes into one pile. Our stuff separates it into discrete commodities: aluminum, glass, plastic, and paper that can be reprocessed.
In South London, if we don't recycle, we face a fine of £1,000 !! deffo getting ready for bed now...... back later....

Mab, i'm just rock'n'roll, although I do training & dev when i'm working :) Torgone, sounds like the sort of thing that everyone takes for granted without actually appreciating what goes into the whole process.
Separating your recyclables is something that is going by the wayside, as more communities realize the benefits of "single stream" recycling. If you don't have to separate it, more people will do it, which equals more compliance, which equals more matter diverted from landfills, which is the ultimate goal.
So anyway..... Back to the puzzle..
