Well here we go again
The game is afoot!!!
Hi again -- who's on board?
Morning all
Hi there cybernan
--- Words Total = 103 --- --- Total Score = 1229 --- --- Word Sizes --- 4 - 53 5 - 28 6 - 15 7 - 7 --- 1st Letter Count --- A - 11 C - 21 E - 3 H - 4 I - 8 M - 4 N - 10 O - 5 P - 13 R - 11 T - 7 W - 3 Y - 3 --- Letter Count --- A - 85 C - 64 E - 45 H - 4 I - 65 M - 15 N - 82 O - 33 P - 25 R - 50 T - 12 W - 6 Y - 5
So I am wondering what the ratio of men to women playing this game is... just a curiosity factor... I have only seen two or three other men....is this is a reflection on my gender?
Welcome back cybernan

A modest one for a change :) Morning all!
Hey sprite! I missed by 13 but had a blast anyway!!
Only 13 left? Great going :)
Thank you
Hi all, here to find a few before bed
Well, don't try anoa. It's almost there ;)
Hi Schroeder, smallish one today (for a change)
Hi Schroeder
There are a lot of almost words in this one!
Looks like a toughie - got only 26 words on the first run through!
Haven't had a chance to finish the last few, work keeps getting in the way, like my odds with this one!!
only 14 here
And there I was, feeling proud that for once I did not forget that 'anoa' was a word... only to find it isn't here :)
That's ok, I tried ocean with the same result
n/7 32
C7/40 and C7/36
E7/40
I see the i6/27 shrub is back. O7/32. Many 7s for such a tight grid, but they are mostly weird words.
30 left and time to get my kids fed and ready for school. Back soon, happy hunting!
Bye sprite
So long sprite... I have to go to bed so I won't be here when you get back
So a fond good night to all *hugs to all that want them* TTFN
Goodnight Grey Woulf...sweet dreams
good morning all :) I see you've found all the 7's, well done! nite GW :)
hi sherb
Hi sherb, nite sherb happy hunting
Till tomorrow GW *hugs*
This one sucks. :-(
happy New Year, everyone! How nice... a short one today!
Hi Jera
Oh no, I missed Grey Woulf...
Hi, Schroeder... oh good, I'm not the only one still incostume!
Hi Jera
My daughter made this icon for me, not sure how to take it (at least we are the same size)
Hey stillcrazy!
I've been trying to get my daughter to draw me a picture for my icon... she gets nervous in front of an audience... but she' draw all day long... very fanciful!
So sorry to have missed your night hug, GreyWoulf... here's a good morning one for you, for later *hugs*
I found a whole bunch on my daughters computer, told her to come up with some more I could use. We will see at 14 it's hard to tell what she will do.
Well look at everybody! Changed, every one, while I'm still in this silly orchid costume. Great icons. Now, this grid....
Oh dear, I forgot that I changed too.
I am the loyal kind. Haven't changed my icon since icons became part of this game.
Not me, I'm still in costume (although it's hard to tell sometimes)...
It's just as hard at 9 1/2, LOL!
You are adorable, Jera. And Sprite, there is something comforting about your icon stability.
We need stable people like you around sprite
There... I feel like me again!
Comforting and stable... yes, I think I can live with that ;) I love y
...your creativity, I wanted to say, when babble went and posted all of itself before I was ready.
Oh yes, in this uncertain & everchanging Babbleverse, we need all the stability we can get, LOL!
LOL!
I have the distinct feeling babble is dementing. After yesterday's sh*t we are back to kids' words now.
That was actually one of the words... had a good laugh since the chat bleeps worty dirds
This seems to be the ultimate grid of almost words.
Babble is a hypocrite :D Puts words in the list that it won't accept in the log.
So true, mab! Incredible, how many words you just can't make.
oh dear, I was having fun, but now I have to go to work :( have a good day everyone :)
You to Sherb
Have a good day, sherb! I see my most detested H word is in here... the dutch one for what grows on your head (well, for most of us).
Poor sherb... later!
Is it possible to have a blind spot for words starting with one particular letter? Stats say 4 x M-words, I have found zero.
Must go off to bed, to tired to be finding almost words!!
Sweet dreams, Schroeder! Found 2 Ms, posting helps ;)
I'm like that with vowel words, Sprite... have a terrible blind spot for them... when I finally get one, I almost always smack myself (especially small ones!)...
Sweet dreams, Schroeder! Come back after some rest!
I find vowels words are hard too. And for me the K-words. I hate K-words. What a great way to start my day: babbling with you guys and getting an email starting: "Problems can never be solved by using the same pattern of thought which created them." (Albert Einstein)
It's 2am here in the US... what time is it where you are, Sprite?
It's 8 am here, and 11 minutes ;) Time to send the kids to school. Back in a few mo's.
An wonderful quote -- I just copied an pasted it. It is a tad ironic in this context.
Okay... I heard a weird noise in the next room, so I went to investigate... it was my four year old, fast asleep on the couch, grinding his teeth! Wonder if he's dreaming about eating candy? LOL!
That's so cute!
How sweet! I agree, Einstein's quote here tastes of irony, but hey, it have you another word, right? ;)
Kinda scarey... to hear from the next room! Sprite used to do that, drove me buggy... one of the reasons we stopped the family bed...
I never! ;)
Grrrr... I REALLY wanna spell carapace... but it doesn't exist in this puzzle (sez so on my screen!)...
What a lovely word!
I think I will come back later to see what's not here. Bye for now and happy hunting.
Bye mab!
Whoa - it's not 2:00 a.m. everywhere in the US. Mickey Mouse and I are just starting our evening of fun.....
Where are you, dalmatian?
I live in Garden Grove - close to both Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm.
Ah... California, right? I'm in Virginia, near DC.
Where are you Jera?
103 words / 4.77 / 1229 points it is then. Happy hunting to all of you!
I have a very good friend living in Virginia and working in D.C. It has been a big change for her. She will be retiring soon and moving back out this way - maybe Nevada.
Oh Sprite... you amazing thing! I only have 39 words... good night, hon!
WTG sprite....night
I have relatives in Arizona... would be fun to visit that side of the country!
Come on over. You can have the deserts but I love the mountains and the beaches.
AWe have some nice little mountains, Shenandoah Valley is quite lovely. I hate the city... give me woods, or at least a big backyard!
Well that's it for me for tonight/morning. See you all later.
Later, crazy!
My goal is halfway before back to bed... we'll see if that happens... maybe some of my daughter's Halloween candy...
Good night to you all, while I am beginning my day ;) At least, with the babble out of the way, I might get some real work done :D
How many words ? please
103
thanks
Goodness, Une, you scared me!!
A - 11 C - 21 E - 3 H - 4 I - 8 M - 4 N - 10 O - 5 P - 13 R - 11 T - 7 W - 3 Y - 3
Finished already, Sprite? -- impressive!
You'll drop in to chat & help us slowpokes, right, Sprite?
Bewitching hour for me -- off to get my zzz's.
Night, cybernan... sweet dreams!
Found all the 7's... I can go to bed in peace now... god night to anyone still around!
anybody have the ca 7? is it too early to ask for a clue? thanks
166 words!?! it's taken me 15 minutes to find lousy 5 of them! There's gonna be quite a bit of monkey typing today, I'm afraid.
amandacath - there are 103 words in the puzzle. But, I agree, they are difficult.
Woke up in the middle of the night and thought I'd take a whirl, but this is awful.....there must be a lot of very arcane ones. Better to go back to sleep.
spatial - if I had the Ca 7s I'de give you clues - sorry.
thanks
I've been on the puzzle two hours and only have 53 words! This is a difficult one!
I did it...3 hours... *faints*
Wow, I am totally impressed. Congratulations! How long have you been Babbling?
spatial - how about those clues then?
Babbling about a month I guess... What clues would you like? The 7s?
The C7s - pleaseeeeeee
I love getting words with monkey typing :)
Thanks for the correction - added up Une's list wrong. Still, looks fairly daunting.
Hello to all......
Hi Blaze.
ac 7/36 low concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood ca 7/40 Any of several plants of the genera Lychnis and Silene...or the director of "The Piano" Jane Ca***** co 7/36 builds on en 5/12 em 7/40 One who is guided by practical experience rather than precepts or theory na 7/32 I can't find a def for, I got it on a2z on 7/32 Of, relating to, or suggestive of dreams pi 7/36 A light boat propelled by sails or oars
This looks like a small but exciting grid.... any thing special or odd about it LOL
Wow thank you Spatial bean
I hope that helps, one word just isn't anywhere. It may be a German spelling of a drug name. Not sure.
Spatialbean - could you tell me how atoz works? I have gone to the website and all I find is a lot of links. I have no idea how to use it. Thanks!
spatial - thank so much!
This is the page of A2Z that is most helpful..... you type in the first two or three letter and fill With ? for the missing letters. (ac??) it will bring up all the ac4 letter words...then you see which bizarre or normal word you are missing......
a2z has to have the worst layout of any website! Go to the main page, then in the center scroll down to "Partial Letter Lookups". Put your beginning letters in the middle "begins" section and hit "go". It will give you words starting with those letters sectioned by number...3 letter words...4 letter words etc. Not fun but it helps.
Thank you so much! I am going to follow your directions and see if I can make it work for me. I read about users going there and it was totally confusing to me.
Yes it's messy. Right now there is a huge neon blinking ad that doesn't help either!
dalmation I put up a second screen and narrow it to block out the advertising..... then open just the pane that has what I want......I blocks the blinking....etc..... althugh there is still sometimes a small on at the bottom...
Nite nite kids! Sleepy... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz z snore
Nitey nite.... sweet dreams
Is the web site: atozwordfinder.com? I cannot find anything on the page that says partial letter lookups. Maybe I have the wrong site.
dalmation use the llink that I posted
I'm sorry, where do I find the link you posted?
http://www.a2zwordfinder.com/w ordlookup.html sorry I don't think it fit on the post....
another good site for that sort of stuff is www.morewords.com
Allwords.com is on the babblers friends list (upper right corner)
Thanks so much to all of your. It is so great the way people work together and are so willing to share. I have been at this less than 2 weeks and love it. I am pcking up more new words all the time.
The na7/32 is one of 25 types of alkaloids in raw opium. Says Google. So now you know what to answer when someone asks what you learned today. ;-)
and that is what Babble is all about.... have you been to the babble anon site yet...??
Blaze - I have not. I was definitely on the wrong web site! I am going to have to explore all these wonders little by litte.
I am havinf so much trouble with the As. I have these ac x 4 ai x 1 am x 1 ar x 3 Any idea what ones I am missing?
It is a second website started by a fellow babbler full of stuff for babblers.... there is a link at the bottom of friends of babble that will take you right to it... you may have to register but it is free..... there are stats posted every day to help with the grid and even reciepes.....
This is what you need ac 7/ 36 ac 6/ 21 ac 5/ 12 ac 4/ 5 ai 4/ 4 ai 4/ 4 ai 4/ 6 am 4/ 5 an 5/ 14 ar 6/ 21 ar 4/ 5
I will definitely check it out. I love to cook and am always looking for new and interesting recipes! Thanks for all the great info.
Thanks Blaze - off to search for the 2 ai and the an.
diane all the ai's are what we breath with differnt letter on end

Hi jen - about as easy as plaiting treacle this morning :(
chessy, I know, I'm really tired tonight (early am) and this grid is doing me NO favors. ; (
hi Blaze!
it also is threading words through the grid a little more... or it is my eyes and brains this am.... ????
Blaze - finished off the As thanks to your help.
did you get the an 5 it is this puzzle..... it goes to the right and then up hooks....
Dianne, would v much welcome a clue for the ac7/36 - it's hiding from me somewhere ...
Chessy I do not have the word but I do know it is the very first ac word
Thanx Blaze:)
Chessy - it means low carbon dioxide in the blood. Start with the ac then add a baseball hat and fiddle for the rest. Wish I could give you a better clue.
thank you thank you thank you.......
Super duper clue.... thank you very much again

Bye Blaze, see you soon.
After a couple of days of freeflowing word days, today I'm really struggling. Havn't found a single 7 yet. Is it just me?
The 7s are brutal. but if you look back an hour or so in the posts, there are 6 or 7 good clues for them.
spatial bean 3:26am.. good clues for 7 words.
fmitch, do you have a clue for ar6/21 by chance?
ar + walking stick
losing my mind, I meant ac 6/21
or dictionary def is: adj : requiring secret or mysterious knowledge
Any clues available on either Ca 5/21's? Thanks.
OK try this def, pertaining to the individual parts making up an aggregate fruit like a blackberry for the ac word you are looking for.
dalmation do you mean ca 6/21s? if so...similar to your name...
Sunrise Fmitch, you are as glorious as your icon!

Good Morning! just a quick 5 minutes before getting ready for work
I can't do 5 quick minutes here... I get lost in the Babblegrid... I admire those with the willpower to do 5 quick minutes...
i'm with you Jera, once i start i feel a need to finish.
since its no longer halloween, ive updated my icon to be thanksgiving-friendly. ;)
I can do a quick three hours (not finish, that's funny!) then look up and wonder where the time went... sucked into the Babbleverse vortex...

we didn't have one tick or treater last night !!
how many words?
We had a total of 6 and we live in an apartment!!! I didn't eat any of Ethan's candy... I'm more of a salty person (I munched on the roasted pumpkin seeds instead!)

neither did we, GG... even had the fogmaker cauldron going & the jackolanterns blazing... oh well... we live on a big road, so no sidewalks, not many walkers on this side of the road.
Jen we live on a court so if you don't live in the block you really don't come on the block .... but we have kids on the block now and even they weren't out
Afternoon all.... now the kids are back at school perhaps i can do some serious babbling now lol....
Jera we went all out last year ..... 1 kid all night long
Hi Chrissy nice to meet you !
Hi groovygran likewise
I figured no loss, we love Halloween... just wish I wasn't sick, much more fun when healthy!
Gwyd fell asleep in the car on the way out to meet up with Sprite's friends, so he ended up not going out at all. He was sick, so I was okay with that (he was, too).
I know Jera ......... well i'll be back in a few.. going to go throw the dye in my hair to hide the greys !
how many word today?

It doesn't like inca either
yeah my son is home ..... he can get 2 hours of sleep at least
So how do you all like my morning after icon art? I did it myself, playing with the candy on the scanner...
Jera thats neat .. I did mine on psp

hey everyone! having some trouble here. can't find all of the 'n's. could someone post a list of all 'n's?
I've got 23 words left to find and then I need to go and cut the leaves off the sage I've harvested ready to freeze.
Marie, if you go to Babblers Anon on the right hand side and then general and then stats yo will find all the lists you need

any hints for the 7s other than the E and the P?
38 down, 65 to go...maybe its time for a break...
g'morning. Evandine et al-- Clues for all 7-letter words posted around 3:36 am. Don't remember poster.
thanks joelgee!
good morning everyone...nice day today...i've got 39 word so far and i'm absolutely stumped after that....how's everyone else doing?
This is a copy of Spatialbean's earlier posting: ac 7/36 low concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood ca 7/40 Any of several plants of the genera Lychnis and Silene...or the director of "The Piano" Jane Ca***** co 7/36 builds on en 5/12 em 7/40 One who is guided by practical experience rather than precepts or theory na 7/32 I can't find a def for, I got it on a2z on 7/32 Of, relating to, or suggestive of dreams pi 7/36 A light boat propelled by sails or oars
nice, got all the 7s but the N now... anyone have any hints for that one?
no definition ios given but think drugs... and it sounds like one too
na 7/32 If you add an e on this word it would be a bitter crystalline alkaloid obtained from opium and formerly used in medicine as a substitute for morphine.
na8 would have def of - A bitter crystalline alkaloid, obtained from opium and formerly used in medicine as a substitute for morphine. just knock off the last letter for the na7
best i can find is that the Na7 is an poium that possesses hypnotic powers
i've only got 25 words... 'course i've only ever completed 3 Babbles ever...and i usually only get 33%...
i think th io is something to do with greece?
We are on the same wavelength Ho Hum!
LOL we are indeed!!
for the io, think electrically charged particles--an adj.
io 5/12 is a type of column used in buildings my schoolboy memory tells me - doric is another type
Morining all... and happy day after Halloween! Had150+ trick-or-treaters last night, and the boys got mountains of candy... Sugar highs for weeks!!!!
BTW, spellit, thx for that 7 list... Really helped as the words are coming slowly today!! :)
My memory isn't so bad - checked web and Greeks did 3 columns - Doric, Corinthian, and io 5/12!
heres a report of the 6es now, since we have the 7s covered: ac 6/ 21 ar 6/ 21 ca 6/ 21 ca 6/ 21 ci 6/ 24 cr 6/ 21 en 6/ 27 ia 6/ 21 ip 6/ 27 ir 6/ 21 or 6/ 21 pe 6/ 21 pi 6/ 24 ra 6/ 21 ta 6/ 21
sellit - guess i was thinking the same /
Nice, Evandine. Thanks.
soz - cant spellit lol
I'm all done and it's time I got on with some non-Babble stuff. TTFN folks. Happy Babbling.
I am done now too. Off to do chores. Have a great rest of the day everyone!
is it me..or is this more difficult than usual?!?
I think it is more difficult than usual. N s on board cuts out plurals and tenses, for one.
that would be no "s" on board.
hey, who's got the ia6?
not me - struggling badly with this one - brain must be foggy - how's anyone else doing?
I have a mere 35 words and am coming up pretty dry :(
I got 63 words, but clueless on the bigger ones and definitely the ia word.
Sorry, no ia6 for me yet either... only have 4 of the 15 6es :(
have 56 words so far, but struggling
just had a big fat blueberry muffin to console myself:)
Sounds good, zoom... just had a piece of banana bread myself... Carbs heal everything! :)
Hi all, it was a sticky grid today!!! unless you spoke latin and french and had a medical background.
ia6/21 a common babble word...meaning Of or relating to a specified kind of medical practice, treatment, or healing
oh well, nothing major then fmitch- lucky you if you have all of those things:)
Hello Baggo!
LOL zoom, Im good for a few clues if needed as finally crossed the finishing line.
hello fmitch how are things today?
wtg fmitch...congrats
*shaking violently* Finally...internet is back!
hi & thanks baggo - i'd almost decided there was no ia 6, but have it now thanks to your clue. fmitch - i'll surely take you up on that offer very soon - running out of patience with myself!
thanks baggo for the ia clue
Happy that I have finished the grid and got non babble things done today too (makes a change). Definate autumnal feel in the air today, contemplating putting the central heating on.
hey Robert240, just monkey typed it... lets go phonically, If I A Hoe, then I do tricks, if I rent a hoe, the I A ****, think upper left hand corner!
hello miyavi...amazing how it affects all aspects of life when it goes down huh?
Miy - where have you been!!!!!!!!!!! missed you!
Hey Baggo :) Totally, the internet controls me. I had to actually think for myself...urgh...
*grumble grumble* the ia6 is a suffix, not a word!!
*runs over and leaps into FMitch's arms, sobbing hysterically* My internet died! Died I say!
lol miyavi...
there there (((Miy))), all better now.
Withdrawal symptoms are really no joke. Oh sure, my friends found it funny...*narrows eyes and starts muttering under breath* on day five of no internet I was in the foetal position, shaking
lalalalaaa some many possiblitlites man i stink at spelling
It is scary how much we rely on the internet now for way too many things!
Very scary...but there's nothing to compare to that warm, mushy feeling when it comes back to life *hugs computer*
helloooooooooooooooo all!!
Ehh not really the internet is great wish i had a faster speed at my house then dial up though.
well, I finished early today, and I can get on with my life, such as it is. LOL
Hey Eva :) Please say that's a chicken...
Hi evanadine... love the tan lines!
heh, its a turkey...getting ready for thanksgiving over here. ;)
Hey... how is everyone? :)
Close enough :)
Hi Toe and Evan. Nice to see you. Not a bad puzzle today. Very doable. :)
actually struggling with this one, only 44 words...theyre just not popping out to me today...
anyone want to see mtnjock's halloween costume?
Hey ToeSockMonkey :)
LOL... I'm scarier without a costume, tyvm!
Oooh me me me!
fit1 - you must be looking at a different grid, I had to wrench half the word out! Yes please ScoutsMom, and Hi TSM and EvaN
Miyavi, been a while, how are ya? :) Cool picture btw
Since I'm done babbling for the day, and my hubby is out golfing, I think I'll do sumpin useful....like shopping :)
Hi TSM, Scoutsmom... Hey Scoutsmom: How did Scout like trick or treating? I bet she looked adorable in the the devil costume... :)
Thanks! I've been...pining. Internet died! I blame BT, they are plotting against me. How are you?
She had a grand old time, once we got her calmed down. I am of the opinion that candy should come with a tranquilizer chaser.
Amen to that. My little guy woke up this morning, the first thing he said was "want... candy" LOL
I'm back with 30 words to go... very challenging today!
Good morning people! Or should I say Candy!
Good A.M. everyone! Log on and first thing I see is "very challenging today"..... great!!!!
Hi Mama good to see you.
Hi mamabear & stillcrazy :)
Hey Mama :)
Didnt think many people played this game as much as it seems to be played. :O
Ed, you'd be surprised. Babble has ways of sucking helpless people in
scoutsmom how do you get your pictures on here? i took a picture of my kids last nite and actually want my son's lovely picture to be my icon...help
Bugzy! Hey sweetness! :)
yes ed... you will be amazed just how many people play and alot of us play every day......
Ed if you look at the player ranking list ther are over 2500 names listed, it has grown v fast over last few months
Good morning, Babbleonians.
Have to go get flu shot now.... ugh ... Actually I dont *have* to, but I got the flu 3 times last year and don't want a repeat of that... TTFN!
nice look johnny bravo...
Baggo, if you know the file name, go to your profile, use the browse feature, find your file you wish to upload, select and upload. Then for it to show up, you log out and back in.
Ew...*shudders* Good luck!
see ya bugzy...
only person i know who plays is ranked farly like like 473 i think
ty mtn...
Heya, baggo! Though I'd dust off my old standby for now.
Hi everyone! good to see you again, Miyavi. I read about your troubles. You missed several viewings of manskirt. lol
Bugzy, my little guy woke up this morning, made a beeline for the candy bucket (mysteriously less after kids went to bed... hmmm...), rummaged around & choose... A BOX OF RAISINS!!! Who IS this child??
Yeah...what he said. I wasn't bbling just then; I'm switching back and forth from this to, y'know, actual work. Dangit.
Only 2 words in like 20 minutes lol
Hey, torgone, I hear you have a game going with doogle. Ask him about his outfit last night. I suggested he use it as his icon here.
good morning torgone
Jera, Scout only wanted the goldfish crackers from her bag. And the teddy grahams.
but all she wanted the teddy grahms for was to feed the dogs ... LOL
Hey Deutsch :) I'm still pretty sure he is my maths teacher in disguise. Though I shouldn't knock mr fitz now, he gave me a really good mark the other day :D
ok refresh you guys and see my cutey pie...
How do all you people know each other?!?!?!?
Hey, that's FINE... more chocolate for the grownups (who need the quick fix!)...
Baggo, that's awesome. He looks great!
thnks...baggo
Miyavi, Mr. F doesn't give marks. You earn them. so goog job on the maths! Oh, and cute, baggo!
Ed, we have monthly meetings at the IHOP in Dayton.
the black was a payback for all the scaring they did to me yesterday afternoon...
Ed, this is what happens when you babble too much you get to know fellow plays esp if you play ever day - not that we do that!!!! No, don't playu every day .. that is bad.. bad......
Ed, we hold secret meetings every two weeks at our secret babble cave! lol
some of us can't drive that far
Edthebabbler plays other games online with millions and yet he only has a few friends on it.
still crazy that why we fire up anj's jet...lol
ed... if you can finish the puzzle for one month ...every day .. we will let you chair the next meeting...
Miy, I just read my post not goog, good! lol
Talking of which - where is Anj? anyone know?
oh good thing baggo.....I should have a seat reserved for me next time
I must finish the puzzle!!
lurking somewhere i bet ya...he pops in anymore like torgone does...
Deutsch, thanks but probably not the case! When it comes to maths I revert back to the ape which I evolved from, though still I lack the ape's IQ
Edthebabbler now has tons of friends on this game. Welcome to babblemania! * runs screaming*
deutsch...how is doogle, i haven't seen him for ages?
Deutsch - cute pic - I like your stripey horses - looks like they are singing!!
Gives a run for Deutsch
Ah, goog sounds better I think! Hyari, where be you? I know you're here, fool
Anyone of you know Lady Feline she is ranked like 473
ps...ed don't tell anyone but pro only is our secret password...
today, I'm three barking zebras. Lola says zebras bark. doogle has been busy putting together the first ever Halloween concert. He manages the singers. It went well last night. I'll tell him you asked.
thanks deutsch...he's always fun to chat with..great banter...when is his wedding??
*Hides from edthebabbler in secret passage way* LOL
Looks for his little zebra to ride on!!
Babblemania...sounds like some kind of attraction at SeaWorld, possibly with some kind of Shamu involvement :)
Stuck on 90
6 words WOOT WOOT
Wouldn't it be fun to have Babblers Convention?
I don't believe they've set a date, yet. He wore authentic lederhosen and she was dressed as a midievel damse last night. I went as underpayed and overworked employee! lol
miyavi...see it's always gotta be about some sort of aquatic creature...lol
Ha..i saw dr. gods ranking..2407 with 116 words!!! Even "I" look good next to that..lol
Deutsch, try going to school! Overworked and NEVER paid...*sighs*
lol deutsch....aren't we all :-)
you have my reservation... jera....
jera lets do it..
Your payoff comes later. (Can you tell I once taught college classes?)
ScoutsMom, who is that in your icon now?
Here in US they call it a "gathering"...dont know why. Especially when a bunch of veterans get together...
Wooooooo looky i still not ranked *cries*
Criminey, I have 17 words. *barks at ed* back to babbling!
Ya'll could all come to DC & see the sights... we could book a big hall-type place or BBQ in my big back yard, whatever the group wants to do!
New icon
*jumps on plane* I'm there, can we stop in at Japan on the way?
i have 58 words..and am pretty sure thats gonna be it for me..unless I resort to dictionary n stuff.
Jera, thats me and her from last night! We took scout trick or treating...
7 Words *cowers to deutsch*
of course miyav we need entertainment...washington works 12 h ours from here...
maybe we can book miyavi as entertainment....
I don't know...the fact that we pay teachers to do this to us is kind of wrong to someone of my age
BBQ and informal atmosphere would be great!
Oh how fun! I love real meets!
I guess most use dictonarys or osmething lol
lianakate - how are you feeling today?
That was Miriam! This is George, maybe
*does weird dance* Yay! Though does anyone speak Japanese? Otherwise we can't...really...talk to him...
Well i am at school which sucks but i must return now to 4period PEACE OUT!!
ED..lol, where are you from?..you are cracking me up with the ..errr, noise..want cheese to go with the whine?..no matter, I whine ALL the time. Welcome to babblers
Ed, how long have you been playing? (This is the first time I've seen you) You have to play 3 times before you are ranked...
fmitch...you guys bring the liquor from your side of the pond ;-)
I'm voting for Baltimore. I live next to a park and only a mile from downtown attractions. we sometimes walk down to watch the tourists.
Ed, a lot of us start out with things like A2Z wordfinder, google, morewords.com, but as you get more and more accustomed to working the grid, the 2 letter list with point values get it done quicker. ;D
I don't speak it, I only write it...*sighs*
I would travel to Balmer, hon!
peaceout, ed
Hi everyone: back after long (liquid included) lunch, dont' know if I can do this now but will have a go. Got a real surprose today when I looked at the rankings How on earth do they work?
alleyn, what a great new icon...he's adorable.. and i love your kids names... my icon is my 10 yo Graham
i know a very few words in japanese..like watasha wanna tai, i isima su..(phonetic) and dozo, and abrigato, n ..a few others..can sing London Bridges in japanese too..such an accomplishment..LMAO!!
You're on, Jera, c'mon, hon to Bawlmer, Merlin! You should come to the Hamden Hon festival!
LOL Baggo in which case we will need to charter a cargo plane to get all the booze and the jacuzi on board, not to mention all the fish!
there ya go miyavi, lianakate will translate...
Hi Mu, don't even try to fathom the rankings - tey are a law unto themselves
i have faith in ya...we could send one of our c130 transport planes...they can divert from iraq for one day...
Great, that's sorted then! *gasps* now I get to hear his new song!
Fmitch, that reminds me. I dreamed of the babble chat and the fish last night. Every post was someone asking for a different kind of fish. I think I've over babbled! lol
My favorite store in the world is in Baltimore, at the Harbor... Next Stop South Pole (it's a penguin shop!!)...
HA! Like heck I will...I think the first sentence means "I love you" an ex soldier who spent lots of time in Japan..used to say that..although, it could mean something else..lewd and licentious..(oh no!)
Good morning everyone, this one's hard. Deutsch- my astutiness is picking up on a bit zebra obsession Alleyn-CUTE photo!
Jera, I haven't been in a while. The shops change periodically. They have some shops in fells point that may have penguins.
Deutschdreaming babble is not a good sign (I won't admit to doing it)! LOL
deutch..My fiance and I worked that hurricane in Balmer..even did dundalk
people, can i have clues for ac7/36 and ac5/12? or is it too early? Please?
I think it's called the Harbor Mall? Near the Aquarium... *wanders off to find a penguin icon*
Hi smaller, I see you've reached the top. Yeas, I like the zebras at the mo
Liana, trust me...Miyavi will NOT mind if it's lewd! He seems to appreciate that sort of thing way too much
AC 7 low concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood as posted earlier
ac7 def: A condition marked by an unusually low concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood and tissues
so..miya..Miyavi is a male? Is he supposed to be effeminate looking?..
Hello everyone! Just checking in for a few minutes of Babbling...
Yep, he's meant to look like that! All j-rockers seem to look like that, actually, some of them wear dresses and Miyavi has been known to wear a skirt on occasions :D
ok. I'm either blind or dumb but I cannot find the yo 5. Help?
ac5 def: One of the small saclike dilations composing a compound gland
yikes..i better take shower and get ready for doctor..see what she has to say about my hospital stay..Next tuesday its the surgeon..I DONT WANT ANYMORE BLOOD DRAWN...I was weak for a week..(cute)
Hi temple, it's never too early. I have clues for the rest of the 7s from earlier postings.
Yargh! What's up, Liana? *clings* Please don't die! Yes, nobody ever die, I'll kill you if you do
thanks fmitch! how do you all KNOW all of these words? i know some are standard puzzle fare and i will get better, but - cheeeeez! i bow to your knowledge : )
Owl, todays is not easy and a2z had to come into play.
I've pretty much given up on playing to complete...I just try and get over seventy words
the only sac like gland i know of has a U in it..it starts with ac..but has a dang U.
okay i feel better now.....hey miyavi - how was your break?
try another vowel, liana
Good thanks Temple :) Full of withdrawal symptoms (shaking, violent temper tantrums, refusal to wear matching socks, etc) but all better now :) How are you?
deutch..thanks, it worked..Latin is a strange language..lol. I had 4 yrs of it, but strange it remains.
Gah! Curse my immature sense of humour! I can't count the amount of times I've entered in 'horny'
good thanks! i was IN school - three more weeks and one long paper to go!!!
Liana, I barely got through 2 years. But I'm always amazed at what I remember! lol
Miyavi..LOL to your threats of death!!! I took an ambulan ce to hopital..was scared ..ack! I dont know whats up..spent 3 days there with NO food, and tons of blood drawn..I did lose some weight..YAY..but, i dont need to lose more.
IN school?! *swoons*
did anyone get the yo 's?
*throws knife away guiltily* ah, how could you stand having blood taken out?! I faint with a paper cut!
Catholic schools were adamant you took lots and lots of Latin..so you knew what your were reading in prayer book, i guess..AGNUS DEI..I can sing lots of latin songs...unlike estevan..who sings SPANISH..LOL
Well, that was fun .. My internet died for a while. Skeery.
Torgone, I know the feeling. My internet died for about two weeks! *starts hyperventilating at memory*
hey there, wondered if you were just lurking...
OMG , must rush now..Later, babblicious ones..xoxoxoxo..share
Miya- Don't worry, I'm about 20 years older and I've entered it loads of times. Just for fun. And variations of it. So no, maturity does not come with age. The two are mutually exclusive characteristics
Good bye and good luck, Liana :)
bye liana...
a clues for the a words dont have but one ac4/5 any clues please?
bye, liana
Smaller, that figures...I can't imagine a mature me. My mind is the Sewer of the Damned
Two weeks?!?!?!? Poor dear! How are you still alive??
Best of luck Liana!
the yo 4 I think sounds like the singer, maybe the children's singer?
later Liana!
Wait...Smaller, I just read your profile..."A bloke without his bloke bits"?!
Temple, have you gotten a yo? smaller, that is classic
miyavi - miss a week, miss a lot... :)
Miya- it was a funny that anj said as a clue for eunuch last week not a self-description. born a girl and still have all girl parts
you missed that grid Miy!
\miyavi: don't ever mature you are a breath of fresh air. Re blood letting I used to faint at the sight of a hyperdermic but this year Ive had so much blood taken I swear they are feeding vampires at my doctor's surgery. It sure toughens you up
here here mu....she sure is isn't she...she keeps us all young...
oh and to clarify- don't think that was a personal tidbit given about himself either
*breaks down into tears* Smaller...er, congratulations. Mu and Baggo...don't you go melting my icy heart now!
Baggo: she is a refreshing change isn't she I just love her input
*loud crack comes from chest* I feel...all sort of warm and mushy inside...
\myavi Awwwwwwwwwwww
yes, she is brilliant, she is wise beyond her years...and i truly miss the days i don't get to chat with her..
((((((miyavi)))))...
Okay... final 20... time to get serious & finish this puppy...
You are at the exact same place I'm at right now Jera
Go Jera, go Jera!!!!!
yah...what's happening?! My heart is melting! MELTING I SAY!
See, you guys are why I missed babble :D
miya- that wasn't your heart, that was the onset of puberty, warm and mushy is actually called "bloating" welcome
PENGUIN POWER!!!!
lol smaller...
ROFL smaller
LOL!
I'm too old for puberty :) I came out of the womb aged 35 and have aged gracefully since then. I'm just short for my age and not very bright so they held me back in school
lol miyavi...you guys are killing me today...:-)
STOP Miyavi I'm trying to catch up Lol
*backs away looking hurt* I was serious...
Hello, all. Need one clue, please please. For the first ac7? Then I can finally go rescue my baby from preschool!
Since it is really hard today I am assuming there are only few words today...
good grief! I go let the handyman in and looks like I missed puberty. BTW, I paid handy half his pay and he looks and acts like he spent most of it at the local tavern.
oh 103 words I need to wake up and get started with it
ac 7/36 low concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood
That's OK Jadaoz, I just started too. Unfortunately work keeps interrupting me...
Thank you Deutsch. Don't think I could have gotten that without you! See y'all later today....
yw, charm. Later days!
cya charm
wait...everyone, I'll be back in 10. I've just had a new PV sent across and I wish to drool over it and then put my brain back in before returning
okie dokie...
ARGH! It's a scary one! Why are Dir en Grey sometimes so scary?!
I have to go too, great to catch up with you all and see you soon - who am I kidding, see you tomorrow :)
ttfn, fmitch
see ya tomorrow...fmitch...
Bye FMitch :)
Laters, FMitch.
*shaking* Okay, I will not be watching this PV again.... ah, who am I kidding?
What?! Now it's making me cry! Damn teenage mood swings!
i cannot get that ac7 carbon dioxide disease for the life of me
& nor can I!
lol
after the ac....put the phonetic spelling of the word for sleep sickness
ac 7/36 low concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood but wait, try this, Robert. What is that sleep disorder that wakes people up at night off and on? ac plus that word
Still, much more concise! lol
lol it's the coffee that helps
Still not got it...more subtle clues required.......sore throat affecting brain.....................
the sleeping disorder is the one where they stop breathing in their sleep....change the spelling though and add it after the ac
thx Deutsch! I got the ac7!
...has anyone got a tissue? Can't stop crying!
the a in latin means without...and the back part means a small winter stonefly also...hope that helps
***sending kleenex to miyavi**** ((((xx))))
*hands Miyavi a whole box of tissue*
scootermom, after MY clue? anyhoo, yw! lol Robert, do you have it yet?
*sobs into tissues* thanks, guys... though is it just me or is getting your mouth plastered over a bad move for a singer?
guess I was too concise after all
Bless you Still Crazy! Finally got it.
yvw Alleyn
teamwork, stillcrazy, it's all about teamwork!
M_fan, It would help many of them.
LOL
whoo hooo.....***pours lots of champers for everyone...little glass for miyavi...dives into custard***

Dirtbikegirl, I'm getting interrupted at work too ;(
Hooray baggo! M_fan - Of course not.

Are we talking about puberty again?
yes they do don't they deutsch... :-) the ac6 is related to the 5 below it...changed the last letter of the 5 to something a pirate would say....
lol torgone....nope its the ac6...not sure what the gland is used for will go a searchin and report back
*slightly manic grin* good...otherwise I may be forced to use my whipping towel :)
down to my last word and it's stumping me....a ca 6/21. I have the one that means secret...any help for me?
yo, ho, baggo! got me gland!
still crazy..another word for dog, or teeth
thanks for all the ac7 clues folk: Got the B thing at last
the ac6 actually refers to a cluster of glands like a balckberry... add that to your list of words ya learned from babbledom...
oops that is the one I have....put the wrong one down.....I need the other one
well, well, just yo ho, nevertheless and a *bark*
hmm...anybody, how much in pounds is 6,090 yen? I have a horrible feeling a DeG DVD I want (need!) will be scarily expensive...

Thanks Jera...woohoo, in my price range! *does victory dance* I'm willing to pay that much to see the lead singer faint onstage!
My sister in law used to live there... it's been a while. They closed the NY shop, so I'm not sure if the Baltimore one is still there. I mostly shop on-line anyway...

WOAH! *begins to cry happy tears* Can I have three cheers for e-bay please?
Baggo, go ahead and whack me with the fish before you leave. I'm sure I'll warrant it again before the day is over.
Bye bye baggo.
Miyavi Fan - How much did you get it for on EBay?
sorry no whacking until you deserve it no matter how badly you want it. lol cya torgone...
I'm hopelessly addicted to ebay...
no wait...*bursts into tears* BAD ebay! VERY BAD EBAY! *starts hitting computer*
*carwls... panting and gasping for air... towards the finish line* 3 to go!!
Sorry...but this DeG dvd had a buy now price of 99 cents (!) and...the sale was over
Torgone, may I ask a favor? ....(pauses while he answers yes) thank you, will you please get a new icon? I'm a fan of you but not a fan of Johnny Bravo. He looks like some shoved an air hose rectally and turned it on high. But even if you keep the icon, I'll like you no matter what. I promise.
is that a "no way in heck"? oops i mean heque
oops! HELP everyone! do you think him mad? It was just a funny!
okay, okay, change of plan. Everyone please praise animecastle.com instead!
just popping in briefly during lunchbreak -- Miyavi, check to see if it's been relisted
*discreetly hands Smaller knife* just in case...
(exposes neck) Torgone - the carotid is all yours I"M SORRY!
*Grumbles hysterically over stupid last ca4*... how many were there... 800 today??
thanks miya! i might need it. maybe he's just gone
does anyone here have celiac disease? I've just spent 20 minutes looking for recipes. If not, never mind. If yes, could we start a thread on the babbanon for recipes?
That's okay, I always carry several knives on me :) *gives manic smile* hm...now I need to work out 26 dollars in pounds *sighs*
Okay... I'm collapsing on the 1 yard line... can't find last bleepin' ca4... but my son wants to play in the back yard... later, people... Babble On...
No worries, smaller! I went looking for a new icon, and then got interrupted. I hate when that happens. No offence taken, I was going to change the icon anyway.
hello! any clues for the ac 5 and 6?
Hey good news... I have 6 minutes to kill before an auction ends... can someone help me with the last ca?? I have ca4/6 = poop ca4/6 =bad brother ca 4/6 = opp. went ca4/7 = do it in tents ca 4/5 = helps you walk ca 4/6 = dracula wore one HEEEEELLLLPPP?????
jera-- get your fish ready. there's a c3 for automobile. add one consonant.
add consonant at end.
anybody have a c5/14. Two words left. sick. need'em bad.
Yay!! Thanks!! No wonder... I always block that one out... last name of a guy who cruelly dumped me in high school... :(((((
that would be a ca5/14.
ca- breif appearance of a prominent actor
joel: one's a bit part, the other's an edible bean
missing the edible bean.
or Creme de ---, if that rings a bell
whoops. have two ca5/14s. $#%!!
HotTimale, that's sure to ring a bell on here...
okay try again. I'm definitely missing a ca6/21 that is not doglike.
and a ca5/12--last one, I think.
thanks for the reassurance... still feeling out the atmosphere
hot -- excellent clue. Too bad I had it already. @#!$%!!
c word..bit part for actor of fame..OR, an old fashioned necklace or pin..with a face on it..(now am off to docs, just stopped in for sec)
for ca 6/21, think golfer's helper moonlighting at Campbell's
torgone-- like your Groucho. High marx.
any clues for pi7?
robert..a type of boat ..
robert: the best you can do--at xmas time
ty lian, got it!
may i have a clue for ar/6 please?
okay. the golfer helper campbell's thing. Not so much.
how bout pi6/24?
robert-- okay. there's an io5 that's an adj for either a column type or an electrically charged particle. Stick a consonant at the front.
joel: can't find the definition, but think who's a golfer's aide, and what does campbell's come in?
ty joel
owl: ar 6/21 = mysteriously obscure
Hey, Liana, didn't notice you were back! How did it go?
okay. maybe it's just me. Can anybody else make sense of the golfer's helper campbell's thing. I know who a golfer's helper is. I know what campbell's comes in. I just don't see it.
timale - my bad, i meant ac 6/21? and en6/27? *bangs head on desk*
The golfer's helper is slang for an American-built luxo car, right?
joel - i'm lost on that too.
spare the desk... en 6/27 we mercilessly shelled the rebel ----ment.
slang, yes... but 6-letter spelling, not 5
joel - i got the ca6 from a hint that went something like "MaryKate Olson bears an unc***** resemblance to E.T." Just tweak the ending of the c-word a little...
pass the fish....
bugzy-- that did it.
bugzy - thanks for saving our hair from being pulled out. good clue.
sorry to further confuse ya, joel
and the ac6/21?
one left. The last ca5/12. I have a client calling in 10 mins.
joel - think diamonds or gold.
hot-- your last was leading me in the right direction. Bugzy just confirmed it.
joe, think diamonds - (hopecully BIG ones)
owl: ac 6/21 = relating to any of the small sacs terminating the ducts of some exocrine glands and lined with secretory cells
you're welcome. for the ca5/12, it's also a kind of terrier...
start with the middle lower c - go left...
. . . And I'm now going to the bank to get a loan so I can buy a boat and hook the biggest fish I can so I can brain myself with it. Thanks and done.
I don't think gold has has a ca5/12, but diamonds are a Babbler's best friend.
Oops.. two ca5/12s, I see. Well done, joelgee...
Way to go JoelGee!
Temple-- diamonds did it. An awfully mercenary clue from a sacred temple owl
YES, I got 'em all! Now I have to find out what half of them mean. Some weird ones. Anyone need a clue before I leave?
DBG-- Thanks. 'preciate it.
* rips up memo to make confetti* yay joelgee!
Hello everybody! :)
Bugzy-- speaking of Pistons, when does the official season start?
see all at next break - later and happy babbling! will probably take me that long to get that AC!!!
Hola lola!
hi lola!
Hey, Lola-- Just in time to share my moment of triumph.
Hooray EthieKid!
Hi lola
Oops. Moment of triumph over. They go fast.
Tomorrow, joelgee, vs. the Sixers I think. We'll see how Flip does.... Hi lola :)
Woo! Well done joel! :)
lola-- thanks. how you doin'?
Hi all, stoping in for a bit
any clue on the last ha? I have: ha5/14 ho4/5 ho4/5
Thanks DirtBikeGirl. Hey I have a dirt bike, it's an old classic 73 Hodaka. what do youride?
Okay, I'm back from extensive buying :) Hey Lola!
efor, you do this ho4 when you improve your skills, and if you announce an accomplishment, you are called tooting your own ho**
ha 5/14, to improve... en*****
joel- 14 left, but they are hiding VERY well at the moment, lol! Schroeder- I love the icon! Where did you find it??
fo-- last ha. formal def: to raise or elevate. but to make something better, you en***** it.
efor - an ha4, at the beginning of the list. one of those pesky double vowel ones..
Hi miyavi! Are you back home now?
ditto schroeder! LOL
ethie & mtjock -ty but i have those two...
those are the only two ha's
My daughter made my new icon for me. mtnjock did you and scout have fun last night?
efor - think of the jack who was the original tonight show host....
efor, 2 vowels in the middle this ha** sandwich
EthieKid, I just sold my Yamaha TTR125, am moving up to something bigger in the spring. Maybe a 2 stroke 125, maybe a 4 stroke 250... Need something quicker and with more suspension so I can work on my jumps.
fini!
got it! thanks 72 temple owl... did you go to temple??
Yay Hot Timale!
you go, hottimale!
had a blast, if scoutsMom gets back on, you could see what we looked like, she posted me in my costume! LOL She went as a beatnik, and I had an orange shirt on that said I was scarier without the costume!
hot da4/4! another one!
Excellent! Love to see girls who can play rough with the boys. gotta go now.
Woo! well done hottimale!
yes, efor...
I'm sure this is very obvious, but I'm not seeing the or6/21... any clues?
just curious, my uncle ran Temple athletics for quite a while - Ernie Casale... :o)
bugzy... think of the monsters from Lord of the rings, add german word for the number 1.
bugzy-- if this is obvious: A natural dye derived from orcinol and used in various histologic staining methods as a purple dye complex.
Can anyone help me with the ac6 and ac7 please?
OMG - in my era, too! i tutored jocks in english while i was there - courtesy of the AD...
mtnjck-- very good. brain sluggish today. Feeling drained.
Of course, I use that word daily! :) Thanks mtnjock & joelgee !!
mtnjock went back in the log and found the picture LOL. Glad it was fun!!
Yup, back home again Lola :) And I'm now indulging in many materialistic delights! (why is buying stuff so good?!)
lola, sweetie... ac7 sounds a lot like sleep apnea
ty bugz/joel
i didn't know him too well, he was ill most of my life. i didn't really find out about him until 1999!
lola - the ac6 - pertaining to the individual parts making up an aggregate fruit like a blackberry ac5 is the same, but take off the last 2 letters and add another vowel
so efor, where are you?
OK HotTimale... can't see the icon too well, but are you a Buckeye or a Hoosier? (I'm a Spartan :) )
almost regret finishing early, though... 3 more hours of work to piss away, and no babbling left to help!
in West Chester now, but i live about an hour outside the city.
Buckeye
lola - for the ac5/12 - if you are familiar with pasta, there is a little one called ac5/12 de pepe....
GO BUCKEYES!
Boilermakers CAD Fran!
Aaaand I have to go. See everyone tomorrow and I now lurve you all madly! ciao
lola-- if you don't like hats, you might wear ac**. Then think of the singer/actress *** Peebles.
Thanks guys. Had the five, monkeyed the six and am still searching for the 7 :)
hot-- what year at OU?
bye Miyavi
bye miyavi! see you nexy week - i'm taking a break (right)
I knew you'd chime in there mtn! :) Bye Miyavi... :)
lola-- my clue will give you the a7.
Cya M_fan.
Right you are! Thanks joel :)
amen, Cad...
efor - i'm in maple glen and work in NE philly. work being the operative word, back to it! have fun!
miyavi-- later.
'bye miyavi :)
mon plaisir!
moved from the PHL area to Fort Worth, keep talking I miss the area..... was northwest - Reading, Valley Forge, Douglassville
you to, temple owl! thanks for the help!
Collegiately, I was actually a Bearcat '98-'01... (also tutored for the AD) but I've been a Buckeye in spirit since birth.
just asked because a daughter of a friend just started in Sept.
have 40 words -- this one is hard , can't see the simple words either.
at OU, or OSU?
pbr-- Ah, Grasshopper, you must look between the gridlines.
OU. Taking a lot of grief from Michiganders.
A buckeye. OSU?
joel, lol! Now would you be so kind as to point me in the general direction of the ia6 and the ip6? :)
i didn't think michigan had much gripe with OU... the bobcats are relatively innocuous in the sports world (except for beating Pitt earlier this year)
Break out the champers and make room in the jacuzzi... just monkeyed my last 2 words! And I'm giving myself an extra pat on the back cause this is the longest one I've finished without a2z!! :)
yeah... in that case, good for her... a step southward in the right direction ;)
Woo! Go bugzy! :)
yay Bugzy!
okay-- the ip7 is something yummy to drink when you want to induce vomiting--seriously. Does that ring any bells? It leapt out at me.
Of course! Thanks joel :)
Sorry I missed that whole conversation about OU, Joelgee. Boomer Sooner.
if you were going to a clinic for emotional problems, you might be going to a psych-ia5 clinic
Did someone say Buckeye?
*bows* thank you, thank youverymuch! Lola - the ia6 is a medical-sounding suffix, used to denote the study of a field of medicine, used with ped- or ger-
i have a sizeable extended family in and around sterling hts... BigTen football was often the only topic of debate at reunions until my one cousin's ex-b/f (Krenzel) went to Ohio State
Thanks joel! :)
Former Ohioan here. Does that count?
scoutsmom-- I have no idea what boomer sooner means, except in the context of early toilet training.
sorry sMom, we meant the lesser-known OU in the midwest
OU. University of Oklahoma.
lola-- with all the help I've gotten, I feel great when I can help.
that's good enough in my book
don't you just love to watch them dot the "i"
I know what you meant...I was talking about the *ahem* REAL OU.
*It's a Midwest Fest here on Babble!!*
absolutely... HS bud of mine had the honor at the Fiesta Bowl in 2002
I'm sorry. There is no "fest" in Babbleville.
everytime my cell phone rings, my ears are blessed with the best song in the world... the Buckeye's Fight Song.
dog, where'd you get the ringer?
LOL ... you're right, joelgee, I forgot... It's a Midwest Fete then!
i downloaded it when i got my phone... but i'll have to find where - it's been 2 years. i'll get back to you on that.
i definitely need that
ac7??? help
thanks... email <same> at hotmail or catch me around here... i'm around most weekdays
it annoys my wife... probably because i start dancing when it plays.
it just makes me so happy.
the song, annoying the wife, or a little of both? ;)
Hail to the Victors Valiant, Hail to the Conquering Heros, Hail Hail to Michigan...... Ahhh makes me so happy
pbr-- scroll down the log a little bit. I gave an excellent (if I do say so) clue just a while ago. go to prev 50
i do like to push her buttons every now and then. fun little game.
Alright. Forget politics and religion. We got Buckeyes and UMers ready to rumble.
actually, john... i last heard it with much different words...
It was a most excellent clue! Er, joel? on7 *please!* and I promise not to ask for another clue for at least 20 minutes? :)
Oh Yeah.. Bring it on. Rough day at work. Thanks for the smile
Hot - not surprised. don't teach you to read it right at OSU
yup... USC and UCLA may both be undefeated when they meet in a few weeks, but no rivalry will be as fierce as ours
it's ringing!!! joyous!
You are right. It makes my blood boil. But I love it. But then again all my family is a MSU. I struggle on who I hate the most. LOL
i always wondered about that... fortunately, we don't have a respectable in-state rival to divert our focus
Oy! okay. the first part comes before "two". The second part would be the Humphrey bogart character in Casablanca but with an "i" in front and no "k"
*RUNS AND TACKLES LOLA*
is that muddy enough for you? The formal def: Of, relating to, or suggestive of dreams.
Hot - never thought of that. OSU, MSU and Notre Dame. Tops on the hit list. It makes the season quite fun
i bet... being so close, i wish we played ND more...
Hi everyone!
You beaut joel! Thank you! Have been monkeying around that all afternoon, needed a nice lateral clue :)
I wish we had beaten them this year.... Sigh
Hi evanadine! :)
Hear that everyone. I'm a beaut.
Hello all....I grew up north of Columbus OH and I am still a ND fan.....but the family are hardcore buckeyes
LUNCHTIME!!!!! WHOO-HOOOOO!!! How is everyone today????
ok - I'm looking for the ip 7, the vomiting one is a 6, at least the way I spell it
Hi MAMABEAR! How are you?
good afternoon Bear.
Hi mamabear! :)
no ip7
as long as word doesn't get out, i will admit this, though... this year was the first time i actually watched a game wanting Michigan to win the whole time...
gee, i sure hope no one gets hungry and eats me...hehe
mambear-- bipolar today, I see.
Hi Lupe!!! I'm ok.... how's the puzzle today? A "bear"????????? LOL
joel, lol! *and I'm not just laughing because of all the great clues* :D
Yes joelgee - felt like dancing!!!! Hi Lola, Smeltzdoggie......
i was dancing earlier, mama - you missed it.
just started - I'm sure I won't finish before I leave....
LOL Hot. Those ones are tough. I've had that on occasion. Example rooting for MSU to beat ND because it helps UM.
yeah... thanks for knocking off JoePa for us...
Yeah, except I kinda want the old guy to win the big 10 at this point so he can retire already. sheesh Ok. I work in a hospital, just asked the nurse. they spell the ip one as a 6 letter word. Can anyone point me to the extra letter I am missing
Careful evanadine - It is lunchtime....
timale - who's your cell carrier
did you save me a slow one, Smeltzdog? I miss all the good stuff - gotta quit this da** job!!!
finally got the AC7 thanks
Hot I have to admit I did root for Texas tho even though it is better for the big 10 for OSU to win. I just couldn't....
i'll be sure to send back an orange from Miami in gratitude... (smeltz - verizon)
i feel some sorta joke coming on now about light meat -vs- dark meat... hehe
Hi all!!!!! I'm back!!!!! I've been babbleless for 6 days now. My darling son in law has just managed to get me reconnected. Have to go out now, but will be back around midnight UK time. Had to log on to make sure you were all still here.
care to share the ac 7 pbr????? I gotta start somewhere - only have 11 so far that I typed in furiously before starting work...
Rough year this year for us with injuries. We have alot coming back so the next couple of years should (better) be better
johnp - there is no ip7, just the 6... Welcome back snowy :)
of course snowyowl - where ELSE would we be!!!!! Good to see you back!
Snowy! *lola flings arms about snowy and gives her a big hug* I've missed you :)
hi eva, snowy, mamabear!
Stepped away for a moment and missed everyone...Hi Mamabear, Hi Snowy
hey Temple!!!!
how 'bout an5???
Good afternoon Schroeder!!!! Nice to "see" you!
Bugzy - thank you. that one was driving me nuts! Well folks back to work. Nice talkin' to ya Hot! I'll be back later

God it's good to be back! ((((((XXXXX))))))I haven't had a drink for a week -so keep me a glass please Lola! See you all later.xxxxxx
pbr- an5 is really iritating! It will an5 you ;)
Even though you root for the wrong team (GO GREEN), you're welcome, johnp! :)
Will do snowy, but I'll only see you tomorrow. Must get an early night tonight :)
ar 6/21?
speaking of the wrong team, bugz... =P
I look great.
mystical rituals are very ar****
lola - what time IS it out your way?
mama- ar plus something you use to help you walk?
Temple owl's here. Snowyowl's here. Owls right with the world.
Iola and Hot Timale - - How an....ing--it was right in front of my eyes the whole time. Thanks. Back to work for a while 48 and counting
temple- it's 7:50 pm here :)
GL pbr...
LOL joelgee........ you are in rare form today!
thanks lola - I love those kind of clues....
Hi all. What happened to everyone's icons or is my PC wacky?
I just applied eye serum...What does it do?
Morning all how are we all this morning? :o)
joel, you are making me laugh so much that it becoming impossible to find my pi7!!! :)
Help~~~~~a clue for an 5/ 14
mama, you're welcome...they're the only kind you'll get from me :)
for your pi7, it's a golf brand name--at xmas time.
Hi nordina :)
eggtoni - try refreshing hi nordina!!!
jcr, scroll down and you should find a few clues for it
to make up for all the induced laughing-- your pi7-- it would be reaching the highest pi******. Only, get the "l" out of there.
hi Lola!! :o) how big is this one - (yes i remember - size does not matter!!! hahaha)
hi Mama!!
Thankyou for the fine sentiment Joelgee, this owl's certainly feeling good to be here - on which note I must leave you all till later! Happy Babbling all!!!
coosin, I need your help with the C's I have 2 words left to find, ci 6 and the vary last ca4?? hints?
I tried, Mama. Thx. I think it's the new spyware I just installed. OH, well.
bye snowy
pi7 = A light boat propelled by sails or oars, formerly used as a tender for merchant and war vessels
thanks HotTimale
nordina, 103 today....and that's what Anj says, not me! ;)
nordina-- 103
well, I have to go make lasagna...Maybe we'll see y'all later.
happy to help, jcr
joel, thank you, thank you, thank you! :)
hahaha just put that there in case Anj was hiding somewhere!!! :o)
ia 6/21?????
Ooh, lasagna... bring us some Smeltzdog!! :)
ci6 is where you go to the movies
Mama, think old people are Geria*****
coosin, the last ca4 is what you drive with the last letter again :)
guess my clue was too obscure... xmas time -> noel -> no "L"
ia 6/21 isn't really a word it is a medical ending, care of old folks care of children...
hey torgone - cheer up - I see you are a little graucho today!!!
I am done! (doing the dance of joy...)
wtg mtn!
Sorry HotT! How rude of me....thank you very much too! :)
thank you all for the help!!!! some of these words are just killers.
That's the most ridiculous pun I've ever heard ..
mtn-- look around your ci4. You'll see two letters that'll make you reach for a fish. the ca4. once again, the fish. auto with an extra consonant at end.
thx aknitter! I didn't know suffixes were allowed.... strange rules in Babbleonia!
coosin! I do the dance of joy with you! Toss my greens and call me caesar!
Way to go mtnjock!!
wasn't pandering for thanks, just wanted to clarify in case anyone was wondering wtf i was talking about =P
careful or the bird will come down and poop on your head
but either way, you're welcome
ty tamale!
I caught a babble fish in my pajamas once. How he got in my pajamas, I'll never know.
LOL @ Lola... Timale, any relation to boretoes?
nope... just a pun on my name...
someone needs to hand me a fish!
can anyone give me clues for the first three ac words?
Gotta go for an hour, be back later :)
We got all kinds of fish. We got the big fish. We got the little fish. We got fresh fish. What kinda fish you want, mister?
see ya lola!!!!
later, lola.
Wow. What did you eat, lola?
bye lola!
LOL joel and torgone ! Bye lola :)
i wish i understood these fish clues...
mtn do you want the haddock of obviousness, the cod of doh or the pilchard of ... of.... I can't remember the word. or the great babel fish if in real trouble?
anyone have any of the yo's?
hurshy-- sorry. the fish stuff. not clues.
would absolutely ADORE anyone who would like to clue the co 7/36 before I have to go back to A&(#%^(# work
ah, so i'm not missing something. :) yo 4 sounds like a children's singer yo 5 is a related adjective
yo 4/6 - an absolutely phenomenal piano player, spelled wrong plus it's plural
hursh-- you'll find an ac7 clue if you scroll down in the log and go back.
Hi everyone, back from the grocery. Now remind me to actually make dinner before someone comes home! lol
Mama - take your en5/12 and there you go
mama - i didn't know you worked here (LOL)
Deutsch - make dinner before someone comes home
evening all :) nice new icons everyone's sporting today ;)
MamaBear, it's your en 5/12 done with someone else
hey, sherb.
do what, mamabear? too busy looking for ca's!
the plot thickens.... no en 5/12 yet
they re----- civil war battles frequently
ac7 if you go to a baseball game you might wear ac** on your head, and *** Peebles no i, use an e. ac5 - small pasta
en5 - to make into law
Deutsch - you asked that someone remind you, so I did, before I forgot and then I would have had to ask someone to remind me to remind you, and that's just silly
co7 = co + en5
yo --- thank yo
yeah. we don't want any silliness here.
good clue HotT
hey joel :) I'm missing your Marty Feldman look already ;)
ty, FM
Joel, where have you been all day! Silliness is a requirement to babble, and Please pass the cod of doh..
Deutsch - You could make dinner now, and that would remind you to make it again later.
thank u one and all... en 5/12 & co 7/36 present and accounted for. gotta get back to work.... LATER!
Bye Mama :o)
On behalf of the ministry of silly walks, I demand more silliness!
Later Mama!!! *bear hugs*
you know.... I gotta tell you all..... I just love this game... it doesn't matter who wins or loses... we all just play for the halibut!!!!!!
Hooray for Captain torgone, the african explorer...
bye and thanks for the reminder!
hhhmmm i agree - everyones pretty tame today!!! hahahah
joelgee - wow, i didn't even notice that we could go back in the log. but, i am still stuck. i got the first have of your clue but which length word is that for?
Mamabear read my profile sometime, that quote may have to be added.
All these jokes are giving me a haddock.
LOL Torgone!!!
And now for something completely different...
and joelgee is just as shark as a tack today!!
torgone.. ha ha ha bonk, just laughed my head off
I'm laughing my bass off
Oh, great. I didn't mean that. I can't decide if my handy man is yelling in anger or just loud. Hmf!
the sad thing is...I'm old enough to remember Monty Python the first time round...
Me too Sherb but it stands the test of time.
Handy man not angry. Shall I bring up spam?
uuummmm i was born in 1980 so i cant remember - sorry.... :o)
Yes, but do you remember the Dreaded Batter Pudding Hurler of Bexhill-on-Sea??
we can all sing that song
ok, i don't get it. i never heard of peebles, but google is telling me a first name, but there's no "i" to replace with an e. there's an a, which i tried replacing with e to no avail.
i thought Cairo was a word - maybe only in my world?
it's a proper noun
mtnjock - read your profile - I think you are correct. Well I am having a whale of a time, but I really have to get to work.
Cairo is a city
Oops thanks Kat
It's really "van peebles."
anytime :D
FMitch - true, true... nordina - make the most of it...you'll be my age one day, lol
Oops wait, I am dumb. Back to Monty Python jokes!
LOL Sherb
"Peeples" actually..
Hi everyone, how's the puzzle?
hi Jammers
It hurts really bad!
hi Jammers...puzzle? there's a puzzle? sorry, too busy reading the log!
Good grief, have you people been dipping into the Halloween candy or something??
not melvin van peebles. The actress *** peebles.
It was raining here all evening on Halloween -- I have five bags leftover! Good thing chocolate is a vegetable!
Any clues for en 6/27???
OMG, jammersbabe. Hey Napoleon, what are you going to do today?
PEEPLES! did you all know there's an ann peebles, a mario van peebles, and a melvin van peebles?
Candy - whos got Candy *sniffs* cant smell it - wait - are you guys hiding it from me!!! :o(
I definitely think there is more than Halloween spirit around here lol
I go away to spend some quality time with my Babble-orphan son & all you-know-what breaks loose in here...
Hi Jera! You know what stinks... I totally forgot to bring any candy with me to work today, and here I am having a major chocolate craving!! I will NOT buy any, though!!
Jera - LOL! My thought too...just joined and finding it hard to keep up the pace...
jammersbabe - are you gonna eat your tots?
I apparently knew about the van peebles! Who else remembers "Sonny Spoon"?
Mama, lmao!
Jera..help ups if you can...!
If I ate my tots I'd be put in jail LMAO
ok, so is ac6 related to either ac5 or ac7?
Wow just finished, got stuck on that Ca7 anyone still struggling think of the wonderhorse.
Whatcha need, FMitch?? I live to serve...
well done MU!!! i think i'll forget the damn puzzle and just chat!!!
Greetings & salutations :)
Didn't have many trick or treaters last night
Hi anj!
hi Anj!! :)

{{{{{ANJ!!}}}}} Bout time you showed up!
Mu, Way to go!

Hi Deutsch - you've become a herd!
Does anyone remember trick or teating when they were younger and there were tons of kids and NO Parents?

Hi Jera :) I've been a busy bee...
hurshy - ac6 is related to ac5... just lop off the last letter and add what a pirate might say... Hi Anj!
Jammers, that's the way it is in Baltimore now. Really scary.
Hey nordina :)
Oh yeah -- I don't remember my parents going with me ever when I was a kid. Just huge roving packs of us wandering around and acting like idiots. But then, we could play outside all day long without our parents knowing where we were either. Different times.
I'm a barking herd!
my apt. trick or treated for shots this year...
evening Anj...welcome to the madhouse, lol :)
i cant remember going trick or treating when i was a kid - its not that big a thing over here - but i have taken my kids a couple of times....
THANKS, bugzy!
Hi Anj Was talking about you earlier today. Have you read the classic entries from Miy earlier today?
I love the "shots" idea!
Gotta go get small fry outta the tub... brb...
DBG. Been at the game on and off since 11am this morning with just a longish break for lunch at a pub, so don't give up You can do it!!!!!!!!!

We're going to do an easter egg hunt in the spring with jello shots in the easter eggs...wholesome activities :D
Looks like I missed all the fun. I've been playing with a GPS system and setting that up this pm.
We got all kinda fish. We got big fish, little fish, fresh fish, not-so-fresh fish. What kinda fish you want, lady?

Anj - GPS...what you looking for?
What a good idea Kataroo!!! I make jello shots for most every occasion, even non-alcoholic ones for the kids. Very scary that my kids know how to make and do jello shots, though....
Joel- a whale-size fish please, and make it slimy
clue fo ra/6 plz
temple owl - what n's do you need?
Joel - dump 'em all on me. I deserve it after missing that one.
One slimy whale-sized fish. Coming right up. you want that with or without?
Hi Miy :) Nice to have you back Sherb - speed cameras :/ except it was telling me I had a Truvelo in my bedroom... er, I haven't before anyone asks the obvious.
one fish dump for the lady on the dirt bike.
*fights urge to yell "gimme some sugar!"* Yes, it is so good to be back, very very good! Italian keyboards are really hard to negotiate. The @ button was hiding, the ? was where the asterisk should be...*sighs*
ni4/5 to start.... % {
Hey Anj :) As I've said, it's nice to BE back :D I can feel a song coming on...
ma5/14 - opp. of micro
any clues for na 7/32 and na 5/12? please!
1. A large palm (Ni** frutescens) of the Philippines and Australia, having long leaves often used for thatching. 2. An alcoholic beverage made from the sap of this plant.
thanks cybernan - duh on me! ni 4/5 is weird. think of a word that means hurt, then unscramble
Though Anj, I have a question...I've heard something about "a bloke without his bloke bits"...?
*goes hunting on Google to find out what Truvelo's are...* hi Miyavi...missed you :)
niamh - drug related.
Hey Sherb! How are you?
Joel- your choice, surprise me
Chrissyf ra6 feeling of ill will? (American spelling) G'night everyone son yelling for his comp
it's the Mrs. I'm trying to finish the grid while Smeltz makes dinner. how are ya?
i'm getting killed on pe's. i only have the 4 and one of the 5/12s.
You got it, lady. One slimey whale-sized fish surprise comin' up. Just sign the release first, please.
thanks hurshy... that did it!!
well i spose i better go do some work - didnt get much done yesterday as i was too busy babbling and talking to everyone here - have a bit to catch up on.... have fun!!!!
Miyavi - good thanks :) my birthday yesterday (don't ask!) so still recovering :)
Also, Luke Skywalker fought a ra6 in "Return of the Jedi".
any clues for any of the words dont have many at all today?
Miy, it's the technical term for a eunuch. For someone that guards a harem it sort of removes the need to deal the temptation of not fiddling with the stock
So the song I felt coming on was 'happy birthday', then?! Yay, I'm getting psychic powers yet! But seriously, happy birthday :D
ni4/5 - think Kelly, of Regis and Kelly but change 1st letter Hi Mrs. Smeltzdog :) and the pe's, the 5s and 6 start with the same 4 letters...
Group hug for MF
Joel- sure I'll sign it, i can find a loop hole in anything
i have nothing but 4 letter words found and only 10 of them i am not doing so good today in babble one of those days i guess
thanks Miyavi :)
e-gurl-- plenty of clues if you scroll back through log.
...Interesting way of putting it...like B*tchtits, I guess the proper term for words can be way more amusing :)
i have been but i really dont get them today i am being slow today i guess i hate days like this
You have to sign the sanity clause
Hehehe, though has anybody noticed what a spectacularly fab and groovy day today was?
e_g go to babble anon listed in the right hand side colum of "Friends of Babble" as yo uwill get a lot of help there
how many words today?
103? 106?
i already been there i think i am going 2 a2zwordfinder today and i hate doing that cause that takes alot of the fun away
103
find the extra 3 for 106 and you get bonus points.
only 10 to go!
:)
with my name?
extra 3?
true e_g, but occasionally it has to be done.
joelgee is joking bc i couldn't remember if there were 103 words or 106...
ahh, ok
a2z...I gave in to it long ago...
Its 103 words and 1229 points
Hm...who is it again who sings 'I'm too sexy for my shirt'?
hey SaffronHarvest, your name is cool.
right said fred is the too sexy man in question
Right said fred miyavi
one fish.... two fish..... red fish..... blue fish...... I just had to get that out.
Seems like I'm way behind today -- are all of you finished? -- I had a wonderful morning (not) at the dentist.
Thanks Hurshy, Boreetos...I need to thank him. His song was used in a fan video that is... woo, ding dong!
yeah i know but you feel so much better doing it yourself
Argh! Duh. It actually says "credit to Right Said Fred" at the beginning...can someone pass the haddock?
I think you need a full carp for that one :)
sorry about that, saffron
How many of us have "I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shirt..." going through our heads right now???
is there a scale of fishes or what? help with the first ri5?
*raising my hand*
can't find my carp right now. It's in the carp-l tunnel.
Bugzy, I do. And I can see the video!
Nope, not a chance. I'm listening to Magic Dirt and singing along. LOUDLY. Wrong Said Fred don't exactly do it for me...
Me too... Anj you know you can hear the musak!!
ri5 A poisonous protein extracted from the castor bean and used as a biochemical reagent.
on 7/32??????
Anj, be nice. I've just seen a fan video of Miyavi. And he did, at one point, take of his shirt. At times like these my brain tends to leave me in disgust :)
joelgee- blv it or not, that helped right away! thank agatha christie and you for that one!
joelgee - sounds scary...if I put that on my word list will it eat my other words?
Deutsch -The part where he's walking down the street and someone comes up and rips his wifebeater off?! Just saw it this weekend - VH1 - Greatest 1 Hit Wonders!
lalalalalaLAAAAAA! I'm not listening :)
What the...*mouth drops open. Brain drops out.* Did he just...?!
Miy, that's ok, i'm just not into OOOOH Said Fred, not for any or all of the tea in China.
No, it's just...I think Miyavi just kissed a guy...
on 7/32..... anybody?
on7 Mama - Of, relating to, or suggestive of dreams
Yes, bugzy one hit wonders on VH 1! lol *Singing over Anj* I'm too sexy for my cat...
mamabear, on7 - of, relating to, or suggestive of dreams.
having real trouble with or's. Help anyone?
Bugzy, er, not sure I got that last post. Could you elucidate on "Ripped his wifebeater off" for the members of the jury please?
thank you, thank you very much. elvis
ye ha i have finished......... now for a well earned cuppa!!
or 4/5 - a whale of a word or 4/4 - same word different consonant in the middle or 6/21 - ????
Wifebeater, you know, think white tank-top-like undershirt, worn by those who are into domestic violence... The dude from Right Said Fred is wearing one in the video, walking down the street, someone tears it off him, exposing his ultra-masculine chest... Better? :)
Congrats Chrissy - two sugars here please :)
how do you find the extra three words?
Good grief! I leave you lot alone for an hour and what do I come back to?? Right said fred and wife beaters??
That would be, THIN white tank-top-like undershirt...
thanks mamabear
Anj = coming up!
1st in4/4, please?
lol lola! come and join the fray...
temple owl - mostly vowels.
a cuppa at the end? nahhhhh *breaks open well-earned champagne*
how about the yi?
Hi babe! ((xx))
and yeah, does anybody have the or6?
There are no 3 extra words, but if there were, I think one should be "Twance," as in what Elmer Fudd falls into when someone says "You are getting very sweepy..." :)
Hey you :) (((xxx))) Did you figure the gps out?
at risk of earning the fish - 1st in4/4 please?
Bugzy - or6 starts like the whale, and ends like na7 :)
72, in4/4, the n is the only consonant
TOwl that "in4" word you are looking for is the great babble word for the hairy nosed dolphin.
Temple - the in4 is the hairy nosed-dolphin that swims through Babble a lot...
bugzy - i think we should have a contest each day for the best "word that should be in there" ! LOL :D
sorry, that was meant for hurshy :)
wow I got a 7/36 That's my first
Well it's making the right type of noises, although it insists there's a Truvelo in my bedroom. Probably because i've set the range at 1000m and it needs three concurrent satellite fixes to zero me in :)
thanks sherb for or6 clue
thanks, sherb. sadly, na7 is one of the other few remaining words i haven't got.
bugzy - if he swan thought any of mypuzzles i never noticed! ; )
how about "mecan" should be in there. as in, "mecan do babble".
no wonder i can't find it - can't even type straight anymore!
Hey babe, you didn't tell me you had a camera set up in you're bedroom.....
Agreed, TempleOwl... I also think "hane" should be a word... don't know what it would mean, but it seems like a legit word!!
I haven't, although I can change that if you want ;)
OK, here's another hint for the in... A lot of corn is grown in_ _ (state abbrev.)
LOL! Or I could just bring my webcam ;)
so, this is pathetic. i know what the first four letters of na7 must be, and i still haven't found it!
...lol! I'm not sure i've got the software :)
bugzy - have that one - isn't there another?
hurshy- add a vowel and the opposite of out :)
hurshy - na7 ends like German word for one :)
help with cr6 anyone?
thanks - two birds with one stone! skulls for cr6.
doxy- think skulls :)
pass the fish
cr 6 - latin for head pluralized
The other in4 is A small, usually ornamented box that is hung from the waist sash of a Japanese kimono and has compartments for holding small objects such as cosmetics, perfumes, or medicines
doxy1lover - CR 6/21 - use your HEAD - literally...
bad thing is i'm a nurse. DUH!!!
na7/32 An alkaloid found in small quantities in opium, and extracted as a white crystalline substance of a bitter astringent taste. It is a narcotic. Remove the last vowel.
I just can't see the ra5 or ra6. I give up. Please would someone help me??
domo arigato, bugzy-san... ;)
Can anyone gine clues for the ac words? is it just me or is it really tricky today?
ra6 is anger or ill-will, ra5 same 1st 4 letters.
lola - for the 5, think what a mystic goes in to and remove a letter...
ac4/5 is a teenage skin problem.
anneb: ac4 - I had those growing on my face when I was young!
ac5 is a small pasta
ra6/21 a feeling of deep and bitter anger and ill-will
temple, thank you! I am so sure I tried that?!
every time i come back in, i see an obvious word i've missed YW : )
it IS tricky - especially the acs. but woohoo! i'm done! ac5 think of composer henry and remove the letters you don't need. ac6 same 1st 4.
If I knew how to say You're Welcome in Japanese, I would, TempleOwl, but "De Nada" is the best I can do!
en6/27, anyone?
Do-oh! Thank you mary :)
*grabbing hurshy's hands, dancing the jig of happiness* we're done! We're done!
en + sleep outside
ac7 you have the 1st 2, then add 5 that sound like a sleeping disorder.
Yay hurshy and Deutsch!!
dancing with zebras is fun!
Come join our dance of happiness! *Looks around* champers?
Wooo! Well done hurshy and deutsch! :)
hey - do they only post your score if you register fully?
*lola cracks large magnum of champers and pours for everyone*
Hurshy, there's a cooling off period. You must play the game three times in a month.
deutsch- LOL!!!
hurshy - once you've worked three puzzles, you'll get a ranking...
Thanks, Lola!
so, do they not post anybody's today, since it's the 1st of the month?
wait, do you have to FINISH 3 in a month? i know i played 3 in Oct.
*Anj canonballs into the custard tub* Woot! to all finishers :)
Oh goody some more people have finished while I was gone... cleaning my daughter's room, won't she be surprised? Heh-heh-heh...
*makes a face* I meant 30 days. I think. Read the rules, maybe * runs to check rules*
congrat deutsch and hurshy! so...may I have a clue for ca7/40
lola make mine a double - i have every block in my spreadsheet filled but am 2 short on the board!!!! * shakes head in disbelief*
Good Afternoon, Haven't been able to chat past two days too busy, this one looks tough....
smaller: "the winner and still..." minus one letter.
You're finished when time's up, whether you find all the words or not... more words = higher score...
smaller - like "the winner" but without the H
*pours for temple while trying to look at temples word list for her last pe's*
TempleOwl... you prolly forgot to type something in... I do that all the time...
Sorry hurshy, I let the champers get to my head. Go to player rankings. The system is explained there.
thanks hurshy and smeltzdog!
Hi speed :)
apparently i am missing 2 n words....let me see....
*Drains the last of her champagne* That's all for me today, folks! See you all later :)
back again - cant be f@#!* working - what have i missed?
'bye Bugzy :) Hi Speed :)
Can someone tell me how many words there are today?
'bye bugzy :)
but aren't the player rankings different from the list of who got how many words at the end of the day for a single puzzle?
Hi smaller. did you get the word you wanted? Speed, come on let's move on this puzzle!
Bye bugzy!
hi speed :) bye Bugzy :)
Hurshy, I just don't know. Why don't you join us the the jacuzzi?

I give up. Again. Help me with the pe6, please??
where is this jacuzzi of which you speak?
bye and thanks, bugzy! hi, speed!
hurshy- over there by the bar! :)
did i miss out on the champers?
Lo, 2nd pe5/12 with added i
pe6 - if you have the pe5/12s, take their first 4 letters and add both of their last letters.
lola pe5 + a vowel...
yes deutsch, thank you and just slapped myself with the sick ir5/10 fishes for not getting ir5/10 and ir6/21 earlier HEY JOELGEE- order up again!
*hands nordina glass of champers* No such thing in babbleverse my daer! :)
mmmm cheers Lola :)
lola - pour another - i'm done! : D
Hmmm, was hoping you lot weren't going to say that. The pe5's are the other two words I am missing. Seem to be pe blind tonight :/
i guess virtual champagne won't make me tipsy...
can i have a clue for pe5 PLEASE
well, the first pe5 sounds like red hair dye, change the first letter.
Some one just IMed me and wanted to know the number of words. Dare I mention the bonus words?
There are 3 pe5's... first one's a nut...
*hands temple glass of champers* Well done, now keep an eye on hurshy won't you?!
lola here's a clue: take the word for thin ridged pastat- remove the last letter and sub other vowels...
and when i said the first pe5, i meant the first of the 2 5/12s.
can anyone help me with my last 2 words?? ia 6/ 21 co 7/ 36 thanks!
both pe's sound like pasta to me, just change the last letter.
thanks lola...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Tahnks Deutsch!!!
i mean pasta - often served alla vodka...
alcohol and sitting in hot water are a bad combination - i hope i don't drown...
do any of you have a clue for on7, please?
Woo! So easy when you know how! Thanks guys, I'm done :)
smeltz, think of a doctor who works with the elderly. His speciality, last part of it.
can one drown in custard???
for all you star trek fans out there, may i mention that i once said i wanted to change my name to pe5/14, so that if i married capt. picard, my name would sound cool.
ia = Of or relating to a specified kind of medical practice, treatment, or healing... ie pedia****... geria****
Thank you!
whoa lola! i'll pour -what's yer poison?

Deutsch, you did it again.
temple- large vodka please :) speed- no a2z, just lots of begging for help! :) Babe, always :)

ameltz, look down two or three posts. Look for zebra crossing.
Done! Yippee!
is the z just a fill in letter today?
hurshy - just plain people here *giggle* feeling a little tipsy?
thx lola - I'm beginning to think one needs a medical degree to play this game.
lola - on ice, then?
only a few left. Help please? na5/12 pi6/24
the ir6 part of all this is that in the non-virtual realm, i've never had any alcohol in my life, except dipping wafers in the communion wine....
smeltz - congrats - will you join us?
*Dances the jig of happiness with Smeltz, pulls Lola into the circle*
Just booze, cybernan.
na5 add a letter to na4. pi6 add first letter to io5 (chemistry term)

well, wlecome to babbleland, hurshy...
ooh, a CHOCOLATE martini? does that exist?
Woo! Well done smeltz :) What'll you have to drink then?
ah, a girl after my own heart...one large one, coming right up * hands tumbler to lola*
(io5 is a chemistry term - i don't know what pi6 is!)
*hands martini to smeltz* here you go....
*lola pours smeltz a large chocolate martini* Here we go :)

there's never any trabble here in babbleland, babbleland, babbleland... (any mr. rogers fans?)
thanks hurshy
you're welcome (bows with a flourish)
Sorry temple, didn't realise you were pouring the drinks! I'll go dance on the bar instead :)
Mmmmmm Chocolate martini: Ice 2 fluid ounces chocolate liqueur 1 1/2 fluid ounces vodka 1/2 ounce grated chocolate Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the chocolate liqueur and vodka to the shaker. Shake briskly to mix and chill. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the chocolate.
Wow, I looked in just in time to find out there is chocolate martinis!!!!!!!
take a break, girl ...you go!
Mr. Smeltz calls them "Take-me-home-tinis"
no mr. rogers fans? :( only chocolate martini fans.
my favorite ones have all of those ingredients plus some cacao stuff and khalua
i think a martini party would be smashing...hey it's cocktail hour, our time! cocktail, anyone? of course there's still champers when we're done!

I am lost. I have 2 words left. a 4 letter word and a 5 letter word and not a clue as to what they are..or what they begin with
*lola waves goodbye to nordina from the bar*

well, the song i sang does have a nice hook.
It reeled me in hurshy
yi - take *****meat pie and change the 1st letter
Smaller, you know how people talk about white picket fe's around their yard? The yi rhymes with that word.
yi5 sound like the country singer V. Vaughn
smaller- it sounds like what you do when someone tells a bad joke? Think facial expression and change the w to a y.
Once again, I choose convoluted when concise would have been better.
What are you trying to say lola???
1 left and am totally stumped. ac7, help. Have the low CO2 clue.
Done!!!! - isn't it great how quickly you can monkey type your way to the end once you have enough words filled in.
wow, i never realized how many rhymes there were for yi5. schroeder - thanks for being my catch of the day.
Er...nothing torgone...honest! :)

Linda...the en5/12...with a bit on the front !!
speed - ac5 - pasta: ac/5 de pepe
hi there Anj !!
Ooh, good idea! Shall we cuddle in the jacuzzi for a bit then??
Hi Charm
I've got the ac5 and the ac6 but stuck on the ac7. Any help, please?
indoor jacuzzi lola ?
Hi, cybernan. Saw people talking of dinner. I need inspiration. Hubby is a beef & potatoes kind. And I've OD'd on leftover halloween candy!
ac 7: last part is medical term for a sleep disorder
Cottage Pie Charm !
ac7 - "A condition marked by an unusually low concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood and tissues." I saw a nice clue earlier: ac + disorder where you fall asleep.
You won't want to look to me unless you like fish and squash -- we've been on the Southbeach diet for the last 6 months -- lost 27 pounds!
Thanks for the idea Karys, but he's more into grilled beef - and it's 40-degrees-F outside! Men....
Karys: got the ac5 do I add to that for ac6?
could do the fish cyber....not sure about the squash tho'
Wow, cybernan. That's great. Hubby is definitely into the 'oil, oil, and more oil.' Or 'it needs more sugar.' AND he's a doctor - go figure.
How about a steak that he cooks on the BBQ?
speed change the end
Hurshy, I din't have that list
It'll be the steak *I* cook on the grill! Maybe something along the lines of stroganoff. That sounds like a nice fall dish, doesn't it?
finally finished...this was tough...time for bed...nite all :)
wish we could do 'fall' at 40 degrees !!
'nite sherb.
well done sherb....ni nite
'nite Sherb :) Sounds good babe :)
Hello hellooooooo!!
Sounds great, Charm - wish pasta was on my list!
40 degrees sounds great to me also -- assuming you are talking Fahrenheit
spag.bol. ....on our table tonight..with salad of course

Artlady - They rock!!! I was a Sox fan for halloween yesterday here at work. I took the blades off a small portable fan, put Sox decals on the blades, mounted it on cardboard and decorated with pictures & clippings from the newspaper and I was
Oh dear, from champagne to shots. It's going downhill fast!

nena, i'll throw up if i take ip6
Words I wish were valid: anno (double wish on this one...) twance macanini Use in a sentence: I was in a carbo twance after macanini and Babble. (This is what happens after 11 hours at work - you are all warned!)
pi7/36 is a kind of boat, sounds like the word for "the peak"
mama - i would say it describes a dynasty, a royal em---- (but that's so not the definition!)
jbs, great sentence!
Mama..think about sort of kingdoms ??
ac 6/21??
Ta 6/21 - you sunbathe to achieve the first syllable, then take a letter from a slang word for 'to steal' Pi 7/36 - is the height of achievement minus a letter.
ta6/21...acid ???
Thanks, ArtLady. I'm twisting my brain to get the words tonight!
Got to run - Poo's singing at school tonight. Got lucky 13 to find yet so I'll be back!

dang fruit fly flew into my lambrusco >:-(
sorry, Robert, can't read....probably why I can't see the words tonight!
that ta6 clue is very obscure. . . .
I Goggled the clue for the or/6 and the spelling does not fit in this puzzle. Is it an alternative spelling
periwinkle - look further down in the google def - it is spelled differently there
periwinkle you got mail
this is the hardest puzzle yet! I can't believe i only have 20 words and I've been working forever.
How about another word for pimple
Robert that clue is for you
I'm with you Scootermom. I feel like I took a stupid pill today - i only have 18 words!!!!
hi all. is there an n list posted?
nyxori - go to the babblers anonymous link at the right, under general - it gives you the whole list
thanks!

evanonut - gonna play by giving clues??? huh, huh, huh????????
gee mama i dunno * blocks scary cat from view *, i only have nine right now.
Oh WORK - WORK.... I thought you meant you were done with the puzzle. never mind *blush*
oh and didn't you notice, scary cat is gone.
not me, haven't finished one yet - i meant i finished my overtime - no bad guys tonight - boring.
scary cat still there for me, do i need to hit something to be rid of it?
yes - refresh!!!!! badguys? you a cop?? uh-oh
nope, not a cop - i check out peoples backgrounds - make sure there not bad people as in bankrupt, felons, terrorists - love it.
ahhh. blind me can't find the very first ca 4/6. help!
ca 4/6 - what you called poop when kids were small
the ca's are driving me mad... mad I tell you.
are you kidding? ca4 poop is a real word! That's reaching, don't you think??
Thank you Mama :)
yeah. Ca 4/6 is poop in spanish.
this puzzle is poop in ENGLISH!!!
Right on Mamabear!!!
hi evry1! :) tuff board! any clues for ac 6/21 and ac 5/12?
hi Tbug! ac 6/21 - Of or relating to an acinus
for the ac 5/12 - same word, take off last letters and add a vowel
scootermom - yeah I thought so too - on the ca 4/4 but what do we know???
alrighty then... will work on it - tyvm mama! like your pic btw :)
what the heck is an acinus?
Tbug - take the def I gave you and change the last 2 letters (to an ar)
Oh thanks Tbug - I thought it was a good nite for a slow dance!
acinus: One of the small saclike dilations composing a compound gland
is ac 7/36 anything to do with ac 6?
got it on google thx!!! gd clue how bout ar 6/21?
is ac 7/36 anything to do with ac 6?
ar 6/21 - ar + a walking stick
ac 7/36 - a + a baseball c** + a joint in your leg (spelled wrong) + a vowel.
does anyone have the 2 ha's?
Mama, one rhymes with Paris' country
thanks JW - and the ha 4/5?
any clues for the an 5?
an 5 = to bug or irritate
ha 4/5 -- the first syllable of a kind of laugh but with more vowels..
Ok that an 5's me that I can't find the easy an 5!
harumph. i still cant get Ac 7. I got a + walking stick, but I can't get the end part.
Mama, repeat the same vowel in the middle
ha 4/5 --is a way to assign an "invariant volume" to subsets of locally compact topological groups and subsequently define an integral for functions on those groups. now why didn't i think if this??
for ac 7 look at mamabear's clue. That's what helped me.
the end of the ac 7 think how you get somewhere v** train. replace the v with a n
Thanks JW - I pinky swear I tried that word a thousand times!!
nena - you are mixing up the clue for ar 6 with the ac 7....
any1 have co 7/36??
Mama, I understand...I think I have tried all combos for the ac7, but still keep getting that same ol' message Oops....
However, I went a different route with the train and it worked! YEAH
JW a + baseball (ca*) + joint in middle of leg - 2 letters phonetically + a
i dont know a thing about baseball, and i cant even think of a c**. all i know in baseball is umpire, strike, ball, and bat.
LOL I am playing today under my husband's name. He just got online because he wanted to print out a suduko puzzle but they are all too hard so he went to suduko for kids and found one his speed! That is what you get in an English teacher. he cracks me up
nena - you wear it on your head - another word for hat
nen - the thing you wear on your head
c** - something that you wear on your head
co 7/36 -- i can't find a definition but a hint or 2 ... co+to make a law
beginning of ac 7/36 ac (think opposite of lowercase first three letters)
OK...all together now...
OMG that stupid word :) haha thank you for your patience!!
Hi folks. Finished grid hours ago and then had to go off into non-Babbleverse. Just been playing Multi Popword on eastoftheweb - a game I've been playing for at least a year. I just WON a game! Ist time ever! I can only think that Babbling has sharpened my reactions and expanded my vocab (which was pretty wide anyway). So, thanks, Babble!
Wow Jac - congratulations
hi jacula... i love new games... will have to check that one out!
That's really cool, Jac!!!!! This puzzle is driving us mad - feel like giving some clues?
hi all
hi CJ!
Anyone watch any horror movies for Hallowe'en last night? We watch 'The Lost Boys'. I bought it ages ago but we'd not got around to watching it before.
can I have a clue for ca 5/12? (The one after Abel's brother)
We also taped my icon's film last night, 'Elvira - Mistress of the Dark'. Haven't watched it yet though. Yes, I'm here to give clues should anyone want them.
ca5/12 - pile of stones. A Scottish word, I think.
the ca's are turning me inside out. the 2 ca 6/21's and the ca 7/40 to start
(Add a 'c' to your 1st ai4/4.)
excellent. TY. How about em 7/40?
I have that one.
one of the ca 6/21's - another word for dog or dog family
1st ca6/21 - think of dogs. 2nd ca6/21 - you know Aussies call a can of beer a 'tinnie'? Well, this is what they might call it if they kept the word can. Sounds 'knowledgeable'.
other ca 6/21 sounds like something coincidental or strange is un ca**** (last two letters are vowels)
ca7/40 is a type of wild flower, often thought of as a weed. Most common are red ca7/40 and white ca7/40. Start off with what you do in a tent. Failing that, think of a winner but take out the 2nd letter.
how many words today???
Ca 7/40, queen song "we are the ********, my friend" Cut the h.
103 words
em7/40 - Think of The Raj and The British Em****.
Whoa! That was surprising - just monkey-typed the Yi5/16. Weird word.
got those 3 ca's - thanks - how about the ca 5/16 directly above the 7?
awesome clue nena thanx! :) *lifts glass to queen*
The true definitions of the 'em' word are: 1. One who is guided by practical experience rather than precepts or theory. 2. An unqualified or dishonest practitioner; a charlatan.
Doogle - this puzzle is a monkey's dream!!!!!
ditto to doogle
Raises glass too!
well I have to leave work now and head to choir rehearsal. maybe I'll try and tackle this monster again when I get home..... thanx for the help all!!!!!!
ca5/16 above the 7 - add a vowel to the wod above it - the tent word.
Or even to the *woRd above it. LOL.
cya mama thx for the clues - have a good rehearsal!
jacula - thanks - saw that clue as I was about to log off!!! only one more ca - the last ca 5/12
Bye MamaB. Have a good time.
bye momabear
how about ca 5/12, right after flying **** (ca 4/5)
oops, right after ca 4/6
Last ca5/12 - think gold. 9, 18 etc.
I'll have a better time if I can kill this last ca 5/12 - it's only a word, why does it seem like a dragon or something???? But I GOTTA GET IT!! pleze
Anyone have a clue for the no 4/4 (not the one for the dried algae)?
do you have the french word for black: no4/4
no 4/4: french for black.
AWESOME!!!! Thanx so much...... bye...... I RULE THE CA'S!!!!!!! HA! (with much help, *humbly bows head*)
MamaB - have you got it now? It's the weight of gold etc.
YES! finished ca's. I have co 7 and cr 6 to finish the c's.
Thanks, nenaluli. I appreciate it!
co7 - to do en5/12 together.
you're welcome :) periwinkle helped as well, I don't wanna take all the credit.
wonderful :) I'd better find that en 5/12
Well, thank you to periwinkle as well!
cr6 - think skulls.
No problem, glad to help
en5/12 - what (soldiers) do under canvas. Keep it clean! LOL.
YAY! Thank you Jacula. Finished with the pesky c's.
Glad to help! What next?
arrghh... not getting the cr 6... have the cr 4 and 5
tbug - think head, brain
en 6/27 is giving me trouble
cr6 - a skull is also known as a cr***m. Cr6 is the plural of that. Look to the bird or hoist word above it for the first 4 letters.
en - then go out and pitch a tent
en6/27 - add it to your ca4/7 (what's done under canvas).
and finally, a clue for em 7.
I gave clues for the 'em' word at 6.59 and 7.00pm on the log. Scroll down a bit.
Hello johnp - How are you doing?
en 6/27 en+ a word also meaning to hide out
jac - good. Busy day today so I'm not done yet, but plugging along. At 90 words. How are you?
I read those clues. I can't get it still. Perhaps if you told me what it rhymes with? or if it's made up of several words?
JohnP - not too bad, thanks. Bruises have now come out from missing chair and landing on coccyx a few days ago. Ouch! But otherwise I'm fine. Where are you situated, by the way? UK or elsewhere?
OUCH Jac! How can you sit and play this game?? I am in Michigan - USA
nenaluli - try this then: 'en' plus a word that can mean 'gay' or 'homosexual'.
em 7 end kinda sounds like - a pin p**** - what a shot/ vaccine feels like
The typists' ,gas-lift, chair with back rest is the most comfortable place to sit, John.
awesome. thank you!
any clues for ia 6?
Good Jac - then stay all night! Might as well sleep here and wait for the next game.
LOL John. Don't think so.
nenali- someone earlier gave this clue and it helped. Think of the chinese em.... (sounds like someone who calls outs and strikes in baseball) but then add the ic to the end
yeah Jac -me neither
I got it john :) Thank you!
I'm with Tbug. Clues for ia 6
ia6 - proper definition is: Of or relating to a specified kind of medical practice, treatment, or healing. However, think of 3 high goals scored by one player playing soccer (football).
woohoo ty jacula!
Ok I'm stuck on this tr 5 12. Based on point count I figure it uses the c, but can't figure out how. Clues please
sorry Jacula, but that makes no sense.
I'm a stupid :(
google the definition nena... comes up quick :)
never mind, got it, was using the wrong c!
In soccer, 3 goals scored by one player are known as a 'hat trick'.
Hi all. This is the hardest puzzle that I have tried yet. I have been working on it all day and I only have 55 words. : (
i dont like googling. ia 6 sounds like...?
Good clue Jacula!
ia6: if my friends Pete and Gary had this as their last name they would both sound like fields of medicine
Sounds like a branch of nursing concerned with old people.
:) awesome. thank you
Done. Not too bad today
how about on 7/32?
Well done John.
ty jac - but I'm sure it doesn't compare to you finishing in like 10 minutes right?
on7/32 - of, or suggestive of, dreams.
Didn't even plan on playing today, but it was small so why not
Wasn't 10 mins., John. More like an hour. LOL.
Jac - still pretty darn good. I was so in and out it took me all day!
Same for me most times, John. I print off the grid and take it away to do whilst doing other things. Makes it quicker that way.
:oP I need a different clue for on 7 please :)
on 7 the number before 2 = your ir 6 21 (take out the ON in the middle)
how bout no 5/10
Jac - I have tried that, doesn't work for me, get too distracted., have to sit here burning my eyes out on the computer to do it
wow. thanks. strange word
Another clue for the 'on' word - start with the first number, a singular thing, and then add an anagram of 'rici'.
last no 4 4 + 1st letter in alphabet
Nice chatting Jacula. Gotta run and get something done before the end of the night. Night all
ty john!
Plural of the 'no' word before it, which is an anagram of the word before that (the French word for 'black').
these are the words I'm missing (The number in front represents their number in line): 2. or 6/ 21 5. pe 6/ 21 5. pi 6/ 24 3. ra 5/ 12 4. ra 6/ 21 1. ri 5/ 12 3. ta 6/ 21 2. yo 5/ 16
Goodnight John. 'See' you again.
or6/21 - A natural dye derived from orcinol and used in various histologic staining methods as a purple dye complex. pe6/21 - plural of the 'pe' before it.
nena the ri 5/12 is a toxic deadly poison that sounds like a common grain
any clues for na 7/32 or na 5/12?
na5 is slang for a drug cop
pi6/24 - sounds like a word for an outdoor meal on the ground but the 3rd letter is not a 'c'. Use the 3rd letter of the word above it.
na7 is a bitter crystalline narcotic
ra6/21 - if you are hypnotised you go into a tr****. Take off the first letter for the word you want.
jac, r u really a brit? when do you sleep???
how about ac6????
Hi Robert. Yes, I am a Brit. I do sleep! But I'm not called 'Jacula' for nothing. LOL.
thanks
i work in london each summer for a month or so
ac6 - pertaining to one of the small sacs (as in a compound gland) 2: pertaining to the individual parts making up an aggregate fruit like a blackberry
(Anagram of 'a cairn'.)
got it jac
What is your work, Robert?
is ac5 related?
clue for ac 7/36 please
slowly, slowly...that's how I'm solving this lil' puzzle. Sigh.
ac7/36 - a (type of flat hat) sounds like 'close by'.
Robert ac5/12 is related but sounds a bit like Boudicca (or Boadicea)'s tribe.
Hello, Artlady.
Hi Everybody. I am retiring for the night with 77 words/ 1009 points and bloodshot eyes. Have a good night everyone.
Hello, Jacula. It's been a while.
ty again jac
Evening, all. Nite ohro....
Goodnight ohromujici. Is that Che Guevara on your icon?
See, Robert? Artlady has now borne out the fact that I'm not up every night on here!
Last 3 words :) Help please! 4. ra 6/ 21 3. ta 6/ 21 2. yo 5/ 16
glad to hear that :)
yo5 is same as the yo4 + consonant (makes it an adj.).
ra6/21 - emnity, ill-will, deep-seated resentment.
need help with ha 4, got the chuckle
ta6/21 - the type of acid that stains your teapot brown.
ta6/21 - adj. to describe the (sometimes) harsh taste of wine or tea.
Don't believe her, Robert. I'VE been gone for a couple of weeks! I can't speak for Jacula....
ta6/21 - also the acid that makes rough red wine give you a headache next day.:-( Glad I'm a white wine drinker! LOL.
i believe you art. . . now, i only need one more ma5/14
Artlady! I'm shocked! How could you not stick up for a fellow artist (and writer). LOL.
ma5/14 - often shortcuts on your keyboard.
duh, and thanks
I'm SO sorry, Jac. Please forgive me....
ma 5/14 kinda... kinda doesnt... sound like elbow pasta
can I have a different clue for ra 6/21 please?
ma5/12 - from the Greek for 'large' but with a diff 3rd letter.
Got that pesky bugger(the last word)! All done...hubby just sighs...
spoke too soon, still need en6
I forgive you, Artlady.x
Ma 5/14: if you play star wars galaxies, you can now create a ma*** for your characters, to do the same thing over and over.
you en**** en tents
Robert, an army will do this for the night....in tents, maybe...
En+ca4/7 (take a tent, canteen of water, MRE's, s'mores)
I thought you'd got that en6/27, Robert. What soldiers do under canvas. Think setting up ca4/7.
ra 6/21. ra ra ra :)
ra 6/21 is two words put together. first is move fast, second is the inside of an apple
thanks, got it, but i thought that soldiers did other things under canvas. . . .
ra 6/21 - 1st three letters past tense of run last 3 letters... middle of an apple - take off the 'e'
dont ask; don't tell.
tsk tsk Robert
ra6/21 - moveD fast! Inside of an apple with no end. LOL.
lol
ah. Yes. Thank you!!!
ra 6/21...what I feel towards Jamie for inventing this dratted game!
Robert - re the soldiers... we all know the wake-up call, hands off co6/33 etc. ROFLOL.
I am finished. Thank you bunches to everyone!
Well done, Nenaluli. Artlady - you know you don't mean that really!
Time for the custard-filled jacuzzi, again.
any1 have clues for the tr 5/12??
Jacula, no -- but my husband does! lol
lol jac
Don't think Anj is around to share that with you, ArtLady. Last I saw in BabAnon he was ' trying to beat his addiction'. ROFLOLPMP.
but now i am off, c ya later guys!
'Bye Robert.
tr 5/12 is an anagram of ia 6/21 take away the 'i'
Babble without ANJ?? the sky is falling, the sky is falling...
hello everyone...# of words today?
hi everyone! on to check my mail and thought i'd say hi to the night shift...
103
Artlady - my Other Half's like that about Babble sometimes but at other times he'll sit up half the night to find the words. Men!
i'm out...night!
'night, Kat.
'Night Kat. Hi Temple.
hi, jacula - finished early today , but it was a bear! is that you in your icon?
Hello Rubyblues.
I finally finished - after waaay too long at it! This is way too addictive!!!
Temple - yes, that's me in my icon and Paul, too. Had one of my lazy cat up earlier but it didn't show up too well since she's a black cat. Finished grid hours ago. Just in here to give clues and chat now. How's your day been?
hi jacula....hows you?
Welcome to the Babblevberse, Priscilla.:-)
Hi Rubyblues - sitting in the only comfy chair I can find (my gas-lift chair) since I missed a wheeled chair a few days ago and landed on my coccyx!:-(
ouch! that hurts just hearing it!
Not so bad now, Ruby. The bruises down my right side are coming out and so (it's psychological, I think) it hurts when I look at them! Still here to give grid clues though... Artlady - Are you still with us?? Or has hubby dragged you up the stairs by your hair? LOL.
it was a good day! we're enjoying unusually warm weather which makes the time change a bit more bearable. And you?
Temple Owl - I hadn't realised until today that you change the time in Canada, too. My other half was talking to one of his Canadian net friends the other night and she told him.
Gerttie Pearl rope swing are you there?
can i get some help please? tried to post to babanon but could not -must i do anything special? i want topost condolences...
Are you registered there Temple? Mind you, that should not make a difference.
I work in psychiatry so i understand how it hurts looking at them!
Lol, Ruby, Precisely!
gertie pearl ropeswing are u there?
Goodmorning all .. Jacula the wine word (I have it) doesn't stick it is thrown out as not valid ...think there is a fault on the page ... What should I do any1??
Ruby - what branch of psychiatry are you in?
Im a psycho therapist.....i work with mentally ill patients....i love it but its tough some times
no jac i'm not...i will try again tonight. p,s, i'm a psych major AND a hypochondriac, so i really know how you feel! LOL *apologies to rubyblues*
LOL Temple! I always say it takes one to know one!
Lucky - do you mean the ta6/21? Are you sure you've doubled the consonant in the middle? I can't try typing words in myself because I've got them all, so don't know if there's a fault with the site. Try it again (after checking it's not already on your list) but type it in more slowly. Sounds daft, I know, but sometimes works.
Ruby - the way this site divided the words 'psycho' and 'therapist' reminded me of a comedy sketch on UK TV where a signwriter got it all wrong and painted something like, 'M.A. Niac. Psycho the Rapist'. LOL.
lucky - if you mean the on7/32, it has to do with dreams... i know it was in the log about 3 hrs 40 min or so - by joelgee...
I love UK TV...AbFab!
Ah, Patsy & Edina & 'the Bolly'.
LOL Patsy Rocks!
Incidentally, I wasn't belittling your job, Ruby. I do know what you do.
Never felt you had...LOL...Ive heard many things about my field
Actually, Joanna Lumley, who played Patsy, is about to appear on UK TV in her first serious role since playing Patsy. Can't remember the name of the prog. now, but saw it advertised earlier.
Really? I dont think I would recognize her without a drink and a joke....love the way she goes to bed with a ciggy in her mouth so that she will be ready lol
Ruby - in your field you need a mad sense of humour. I know! Incidentally, my doctor, my dentist and my surgeon, plus my two ex-neighbours (who both worked in mental health and had a 'mad' child who put 'poo' in their fridge) all have a mad sense of humour. My dentist says things like (when he's drilling for a filling), 'Oh! If I drill any deeper I'll have brain tissue on the end of my bit!'.
LOL Its true all of my cohorts have a "sick" sense of humor...its the only way to get through it all
sigh. I have 72 words, and haven't yet used a2z. But I have no ai's. Anybody have hints?
In the colonoscophy clinic they make jokes about having sausages for lunch, and in gyni, when sewing up episotomies, they make jokes about God planting a pleasure pit between a cesspit and a sewer.
ai - breezy.
oops, sorry, I'm dyslexic today. I meant ia's !!
When I had my children my ob/gyn made a comment that I cant even put on the log! LOL.....
Ruby - the usual thing they say is, 'See you next year!' and it's your reply that would be bleeped out on the log! LOL.
LOL...Thats true....
There's only one 'ia' and that was clued for a while ago on the log. Depends whether you're from UK or across the pond whether you get the baseball or soccer clues for that. Failing that, sounds like a branch of nursing concerned with caring for old folks.
ia...anybody have a hint?
IA6 - suffix meaning "Of or relating to a specified kind of medical practice, treatment, or healing."
Thanks. How strange. It always seems odd to me that these prefixes & suffixes are allowed.
I am clueless tonight...
ruffh2o - think of the word that describes a practice that treats old people or one that treats children -- you want the suffix.
also stuck on the ip. since we seem to be on a roll...hints?
Ruby - if you were from UK, which I don't think you are, given the time you're here, I would clue you for the 'ia' word by saying 'German score of 3 goals in soccer'. Guess that won't help you though?
I keep seeing "ipanema".
somebody pass the haddock. That ip was staring right at me.
well - time to go. enjoyed meeting you ruby blues. btw jac - someone posted a yummy recipe for chocolate martinis earlier in the log - if i could remember who i'd ask them to post to babanon recipes!
ip6/27 - remember that horrible ipecuana medicine to make you 'go'??? This is the tree it comes from.
ai 4/4 - ca5/12 drop the c ai 4/4 - the stuff you breathe plus a consonant ai 4/6 - light (full of ai*) as in a cake
'Night TempleOwl. Do martini and choc GO together???
suggestions on the na's needed !!
Nope...Iam from the US New York actually....Ill just continue peering at the screen....
Night Temple...nice meeting you as well
have heard of choc martinis. don't they use Godiva liqueur?
i think it's the one time i'd break my "give me the liquor and hold the mixer" mindset! Nite all. pleasant dreams!
nite owl
LOL Temple
Okay Ruby, since my friend Roni (not off this forum) comes from there, I'll keep on trying to help. LOL. Have you ever heard of The Spice Girls? If so, do you know what Ginger Spice's first name was?
na4 - cops who are on the drug squad. na5 - add a vowel to make it sound spanish....
Ive heard of them but dont know their names...lol...clueless
you rock, charm
na7 - na4 + german for 1 (kinda).
y/w ruffh2o. back in a mo....
Okay, Ruby. Ginger Spice's first name was (is) Geri (Halliwell). Take her first name and apply it to a branch of nursing that cares for old folks, then take away the first 3 letters.
ruff -- na 4/5 - shortened version of na 5/12 na 5/12 - a drug, or a slang term for a drug officer na 7/32 - na 4/5 + the first 3 letters of german one.
LOL....I have that one!
thanks, cyber
IA - in "Peanuts" Lucy had a mental help practice with the sign 'psych****** help...."
I'll sit back here for a while and see who needs what.
jacula - I'm stuck on the yi & yo words
with thanks to cadfan who posted this earlier: Mmmmmm Chocolate martini: Ice 2 fluid ounces chocolate liqueur 1 1/2 fluid ounces vodka 1/2 ounce grated chocolate Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the chocolate liqueur and vodka to the shaker. Shake briskly to mix and chill. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the chocolate
more chocolate liq than vodka, I see. Suggest that you look for Godiva liq.
1/2 oz - that's a block of ghirardelli, right?
yo's: thither and yo* for 4/5 add a vowel for 5/16 add the same vowel and a consonant
ah...I was looking in the wrong direction for that consonant. Thanks.
Please, please, please - one more word and I am finished. An 5/14 It is probably the easiest one in the grid but my monkey typing has not found it! Any help?
apologoes to those trying to finish for so much chat...see you! owl out...
yi - rhymes with a type of jelly made from a hard, seedy apple-like fruit that grows on a shrub.
an 5/14 - what your little sister or brother does to you, just to get your goat
an5/14 - to irk or irritate.
an 5/14 - get the fish out! - that is really an***ing
I don't see crabapple anywhere in this grid.
Yi - think M---- Meat Pies.
ruff - not crabapple - this one comes from asia
got it, thanx di
Crab apple isn't in the grid and neither is quince, but a yi word that rhymes with it is.
yi - Thanks Dianne
well, I have 80 words. Not using a2z is killing my score, but at least I don't feel like I'm cheating.
Thank you everyone for your help!!!! I knew it was a simple one - my eye just never went up to that top row! I love all the witty chatting that goes on. Everyone out there is so friendly and makes this so much fun!!!!
ruffh2o 80!! Congrats. I am stuck today at 53 so have a drink and relax
Congrats ruff! What do you need Lucky?
wandering over to the wine fridge...
Ruffh20 what happened to the chocolate martini???
forget the wine...be back in a sec, have to find recipe for a pomegranate martini, having just convinced hubby to make me one
'Wine fridge'??? She has a fridge just for booze??? Wow! Wish we could do that here.
don't have chocolate liqueur
I have a cookie closet...lol
Got choc liqeuer in our fridge.
jac - I suspect that you can. They aren't all that big. You can get one for as few as 10 bottles, and up to 200. Ours is somewhere in-between, and occurred because our dishwasher died. We decided that we had more of a need for the fridge than for a dishwasher.
we have our priorities. :)
ruffho - you're obviously not feeding three teens if you don't feel the need for a dishwasher!
Snacks galore ... must be nice to my cookie eyes.. Yesterday it was 4:20 so now its bed for me again See yáll later
we have a junk closet just for junk food
Harrah's in Reno has the Sapphire bar and it specializes in martinis. I have never seen or tasted) so many delicious combos in my life - chocolate cherry is great.
We just have a closet full of junk -- a couple of them in fact.
LOL! We have 2 freezers and think we need one more for the Autumn harvest. The dishwashers (there are two out of 4 officials in this house) are called Jacula and Paul69. If we had room for a booze fridge, we would do it - 5 of us want that!
nite lucky. actually, we have three teens part-time. but they help with the dish-washing.
lol. booze fridge is indispensable - it frees up room in the other fridge for feeding the bottomless stomachs of those teens.
we have 1 teen full-time, I early 20s full-time, 1 teen part-time, i early 20s part-time and I pre-teen part time. 3 of those help dishwashing-wise.
Pomegranate Martini Recipe 3 ounces citrus-infused vodka 3 ounces pomegranate juice lemon rind (to garnish) ice Combine all, shake like hell, add garnish
I agree, ruff - we're empty nesters now but still need the wine fridge, the regular fridge, the deep freeze and of course the old beer & pop fridge out in the garage.
grr cannot get the A's - only have 4 of 11
wow jacula...i should come to your place....im having the "empty nest syndrome".
for us, it's the 1967 Coke Vendo in the garage
trying to count Jacula's teens...ran out of hands.
Any help on ac 6/21 and 5/21?
gee, and I thought that 3 teens was tough. just when I think that I know what they like, it changes.
But one thing I will comment on is a habit all of the males, whatever age, that congregate our house at one time or another, indulge in... of them in all, including ex-hubby.... they walk into kitchen and open fridge and peer into it, then close it, walk over to kettle, switch it on and then walk over to fridge and open it again... WHY??? LOL.
LOL Jac....my son is away at college, its his first year
hmm. all of the males on hubby's side cook. his son once refused, in his early teens, saying that it was 'women's work'. now, guess who's copying my recipes. :)
What they have told me is that they think 'something new' may have appeared in the last 2 seconds since they last looked. ????????????
ac hint: adj 1: pertaining to one of the small sacs (as in a compound gland) 2: pertaining to the individual parts making up an aggregate fruit like a blackberry
it's the gremlins in the fridge.
since we have a heavy emphasis on cooking in the house, ours just walk to 'the list' and point to something, asking us when we will make it. 'The list' is a group of recipes for which I can guarantee we have all of the appropriate ingredients.
My son (21) says that, Ruff. Still can't forget he was the best and most innovative cook in his year at school, when forced to cook. He still doesn't cook for all of us now, but has started to go out and buy stuff and cook for himself, if desperate. I feel that cooking for rest of us won't be tooo far away (a decade or so).
ac 6/21: (in case ruff's def. didn't help) Take the first 3 letters of ascorbic ac** and add the first part of the whale with the long tusk.
Don't talk to me about Gremlins, ruff. I caught the end of (was it?) Gremlins 3 the other night? The green bride with the red lipstick that looked like the Grandma from 'Dinosaurs'.
hi - just got home - looks like everyone is done and chatting? And me with 26 words to go still.....aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh
I gave up after gremlins 2.
Hi Mamabear -- how are you doing?
mama - I have 20 to go, but don't want to use a2z, and am up to my eyeballs in pomegranate martini
hi cybernan - I still need 26 - was sneak babbling at work today - this one is a toughie.... i would so like to finish it though
Hello to all!
Ruff - Gremlins are like kids and cats - never get 'em wet or feed 'em after midnight.:-(
hi woof
ruffh20 - no a2z??? I am super impressed - I would have way more than 26 to go if I hadn't resorted to it a long time ago. pomegranite martinis???? intriguing.....
Hey GW - you just getting on?
see recipe below for martini
Hey, MamaBear....
Hi MAMA, I just got home from work and grocery shopping. And I only have 28 words so you are way ahead of me!
It is tough - had to resort to a2z for my last 4 words.
Has Ruby gone? Or is she hunting for words?
Hi Charm... Well, this one gave me a run for my money today... still is
so, jac. how did you survive the mid to late teens? ours are 14, 16, 18. The 18 year old boy is responsible, but the girls respond so much to peer pressure.
Cybernan - you did 2 words better than me then. I went to a2z for last 6 words a few hours ago.
LOL Hunting Hunting Hunting.....you kknow I dont go from a to z...perhaps I should start huh?
experimenting with martini recipe. adding rose's lime this time. hubby added a special lemon rind knot. he's so creative.
I'm not that clever - had a lot of help from the log.
Ruff - if I tried to tell you about early teens to mid-teens, you'd freak out. So, I will not.
My son is so easy but my daughter......frightening!
couldn't be worse than I was. I grew up in the UK - pubs & ciggies all through my teens
Ruby - we have one who is ultra conservative (we're scared to ask what she thinks of the wine fridge), and one who is in a goth phase
Ruff, take solace in the fact that one day (about 4 or 5 years from now) the girls will turn to you and say "Gee, Mom, I used to think you were so stupid and had no taste -- but you were right!".
Ruby - ditto. But... re daughter... think a 'thin' word starting with' anor' aT 12/13 and then 2 and a half years in a clinic.
I dont know Ruff...LOL....
ouch, jac. one of ours has body issues, but not to that extreme
LOL Ruff I dont think Jac meant her daughter
funny how they think that we know nothing. we were playing a board game, and one decided to swear at her sister, calling her a 'poto'. I waited for a minute to see where it would go, and then told her that if she wanted to call her sister a bi*** in Spanish that she could at least get it right. She was mortified.
Is they come home and 'rant' or come home and cry - everything's fine - they eat SOMETHING after that. If they come home any say nothing anfd go up to their room... then you worry.
Ruff was right, Ruby. I did mean my daughter.
My girl will be crying and Ill ask whats the matter, she will say "nothing"....she realizes how silly that is
Anyone need any clues before I log off for a couple of hours?
Really Jac.....its this messed up view of whats pretty in this world.
sigh. one of ours is the stats girl for the football team. came home in tears when one of the guys said that she had fat knees. FAT KNEES?!?!?
cybernan - me, me, me, (can you tell I just got home from choir rehearsal) but seriously, ME!!!
cyber - too many, as in 20. thanx for the help earlier.
Alto or sop?
'Nothing' said in various tones, is a classic female response. Thing is, only females know which 'nothing' the other female means. LOL.
cyber, any clues for any o words?
SOP!
cybernan - thanks for the offer, but with so far to catch up, It is not worth it yet
in our house, 'nothing' is invariably followed by loud music on their personal stereo.
LOL Jac....I can usually figure it out!
mama - think killer whale
Please help. Only two left. I need a hint for in 4/4 (i have the one that ends in o) and for ra 4/4 (i have the one that ends in i and the one with fast drivers) thanks
RUFFH - thanks but it was marb who needs the o's
ack. 1st or 2nd sop? I'm strictly mezzo, but usually do alto because it is more interesting
In4/4 - "A South American freshwater dolphin (I. Boliviensis). It is ten or twelve feet long, and has a hairy snout."
oops. too many martinis.
thanks ruff got it
ra4/4 - falls from the sky. need an umbrella.
Rubyblues - are you a guy? I thought you were a girl (woman, actually).
or 4/4 - think of the word "aura" but make it into an or kinds word.
ra 4 think ****drops falling from the sky
LOL No Im a girl! What did I say to make you think otherwise?
on 4/5 - on** in a while on 7/32 - relating to dreams (had to go to a2z for it!) or 4/5 - killer whale - Pacific Ocean (Namu was one) or 6/21 - first 3 letters of or4/5 plus first 3 of german 1 or 4/4 - change second consonant in or 4/5
Need help tih c's please, the ones in the left column ca 4/ 6 ca 5/ 14 ca 4/ 5 ca 5/ 12 ca 4/ 6 ca 5/ 14 ca 4/ 7 ca 5/ 16 ca 7/ 40 ca 4/ 5 ca 6/ 21 ca 6/ 21 ca 4/ 6 ca 5/ 12 ca 4/ 5
also need ine if the ha4's, have the partial laugh
Ruff - saggy knees, saggy elbows, any other thin part that can be bullied .... they'll allow it to be. Take great care if someone in your house is allowing that to happen to them.
True True True Jac
sigh. well, she's anti-exercise and loves mac&cheese. guess I'll just have to monitor her bathroom time.
chef smeltzdog is back. how's everyone?
ho 4/5 - sharpen your skills ho 4/5 - trumpet
Oh, I could 'go off one one' as 'they' say now, Ruby, on that subject, but I won't. But all those young lives wasted... makes me want to.... I don't KNOW what!
Thanks so much. I must be tired to miss ra 4/4. I've been staring at it all night. Thanks to all.
Hi Smeltz...agreed Jac
There's no doubt that bullying really bites at that age, especially for the girls.
hey Smeltz - how are you tonite????
Hi everyone.... any clues on the en6/27?
thanks cy
Ruff - if you have scales in your bathroom REMOVE them, saves anyone standing on them about every 5-10 mins (and I do not exaggerate). If you must have body scales in the house, hide them.
lol. hubby just unpacked a new 'puter monitor, and shows me a piece of foam, donut-shaped. he said that it was hemorrhoid pillow for a mouse.
Hi Smeltz
en6 - set up your tent, build the fire, etc.
Mamabear - I used to sing descant in our church choir before I lost my voice -- still miss it. Also directed for a while -- very time consuming.
Things are great! Chef Me made a delicious lasagna dish. The best complement when you cook is for everyone to get seconds!
en7 = en + ca4/7
duh, got the ha's, need the 3 c's with the arrows ca 4/ 6 ca 5/ 14 <-- ca 4/ 5 ca 5/ 12 ca 4/ 6 ca 5/ 14 ca 4/ 7 <-- ca 5/ 16 ca 7/ 40 ca 4/ 5 ca 6/ 21 (tooth) ca 6/ 21 <-- ca 4/ 6 ca 5/ 12 ca 4/ 5
Hi Dianne - thanks so much
For en 6/27...ad en to what you do in a tent
no worries there, jac - we tossed ours years ago. there's just the one at the tennis club.
ca 5/14 - creme de ca***
cybernan - oh really???? I love it - I sing in two choirs - one of them has been on TV a couple times... that wass a thrill!
ca4/7 - set up the tent, build the fire, etc.
night folks. try again tomorrow. lol
hi all just having a quick fix before i go home ;O)
I'll take radio over tv any day. We did proms & covent garden as a choir when I was in my teens.
Nan the only creme de I know is Cassis but thats not possible
ca 6/21 "can't he do it or ____?" spelled different
G'nite Charm
I thought we had something in common Mama. I too made a few TV apperances. The best was singing in Carnege Hall.
Hi nordina
BNo worries about public scales, Ruff. It's the ones in the home that cause the most probs. Everyone's weight fluctuates by 3 - 5 pounds during a day, depending on... Thing is, anorectics (or anorexics as most might know them) don't see that.
ruby - think chocolate
got ca44 & ca5, TY Cybernan & Dianne
ca 6/21 - think of wise in a sharp sort of way, but use an alternate ending to the 'y'
hi Grey :o)
Melanie Safka sang her best concert at Carnegie Hall.
ca 6/21 - think of Miss. F----- Brice but start it with ca.
jac - it's tough to know what to worry about, and what not. she spends a lot of time in the loo, says that she has gas. and wears the baggiest clothes.
TY Ruff that did it!
Good luck everyone -- I'm off to make a snack before settling down to watch Commander in Chief.
ooo - commander in chief tonite. I forgot. what time does it start?
g'nite cybernan - have a good rest....*bear hug*
Nite Nan
I'm done. Thanks again for your awesome help, Cybernan & Dianne!
Thanks cybernan, enjoy
Commander comes on at 9:00 pm in our area.
Ruff - I suppose you're thinking about bulimia? And, like me, if you've got a flat roof outside her bathroom window, are climbing out of your own and trying to check? It's effing awful, isn't it?
okay guys better go pick up my son and cook dinner... have a good night and will catch up with y'all tomoro
g'nite nordina - have a good evening
Take care, nordina See you tomorrow
it wouldn't surprise me if she was. she's so picky about food.
Jac and Ruff chin up... hopefully it gets easier...
you too Mama :o)
Sorry for the reality stuff folks of the log. Sometimes though, you have to say it.
g'night Grey :o)
thx ruby. just the trials & tribulations of teenage girls.
My girl is 23 and it still is difficult though...I thought it was just her!
I understand Jacula - but for me it was my son - my girls have been my salvation
Ruff - go into Babbler Anonymous and message me when and if you need to.
I don't know which is worse. One of her friends is a cutter. Thankfully, she shares the stories with us. There's some reassurance that she is somewhat open.
evening..stuck on YI5 and Yo5.
Cutters are tough Ruff...I work with them all the time....so sad
I don't mean to sound intrusive but could someone fill me in on what's going on.
no need, jac, but thanks for the offer. I'm just keeping a close eye on her. The other household doesn't seem to.
No worries there Jac, I think I can safely say that if any of us were not sympathetic to some degree, we would have said something before now Me, I'm just wondering what it's going to be like for me in about 9-10 years (LOL)
OK, Ok - new topic. perhaps back to the martini recipes?
hi greywoulf :)
LOL Smeltz...
I finished the puzzle, I'm just here to give ya'll a hand.
Hey GW, nice icon by the way... a real howler!
in 9 or 10 years...well, I can't imagine that it would be all that different. Same peer pressure for teenagers, same media contributing to body issues, same pressure from parents for high grades.
Ok - what is the definition of a martini? I have had both gin and vodka martinis and didn't much care for either
hi nenalui - in THAT case, anything on the pe 5/14?
mama - what the heck os your icon? (pulling out the bifocals)
vermueth is what makes a martini a martini
pe 5/14: a type of nut, it goes in brownies. "when harry met sally: mmmmmmmmm pe5/14 pie"
ruffh20 - polar bears slow dancing, what else? Seemed like a good nite for a slow dance...
nice spelling Ruby!
Hi nena :) Thanks MAMA, like your dancers too!
I'm not a diehard about martinis. Cosmos & pomegranate martinis are what we do. Else it's margaritas. We didn't like vodka until we discovered belvedere.
Oh, the cutters! Yes, my daughter knows a few of those. Two are the house regs I mentioned earlier. One's just 'playing at it', the other means it a little more, but neither of them reach the heights either me or my daughter saw in her clinic. If you mean it, your guts are hanging out. Christ! What am I saying? I get so upset when I see the lightest of cuts on the lads here - the girls I saw doing it in the clinic meant 'business'.
MMMM I love cosmos
OMG nenalui - could it have been any easier. For that, I don't deserve any more clues..... how embarrassing
ah. ok, I get it. it looked like a 'dip' to me, but I wasn't sure.
Its difficult trying to help them every day Jac
I think I may be allergic to gin since my mother is. The drink I tend to prefer mixed or straight is amaretto.
haha no, there are some easy ones I missed too :oP
yes, dancing, dipping. all related.
mmmmm mamabear love amaretto!
hi all! can anyone help with me out with ir 5/10?
this one is under treatment. I just worry about the damage done when she tells her friends the 'hows' and 'whys'. then again, there's enough info on the 'net anyway, for someone to figure it out if they want to.
Incidentally, my son's not one of the' cutters or nutters' and neither is my other half.
well its almost 1130 in NY and things to do in the am...
Very true Ruff
lol jacula, I didn't take it that way.
g'nite rubyblues - sleep tite. sweet dreams
Do I need to bring back the wiener with a cape to get a conversation around here
Thank you for all the help and all the chat! Great fun!
Sorry to see you go Ruby BTW, where in NY? I'm from LI originally
hubby's giving me hell for the downer conversation
OK!!!!!!! Bring it on Mustard Man!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL
Ruff - I don't normally say this much on the net either. Register on Babblers' Anonymous and then we can talk privately, should you wish.
Ir 5/10 is Ir 4/4 + a vowel.
wiener with a cape?
Grey, near Albany but originally from Brooklyn
Ir 4/4: After washing and drying your clothes, you **** them so they won't have wrinkles.
thanks, just figured it out...so close to the end (for once)
Ruff - if hubby's got a downer on the convo, put him on to me and I'll put him right.
ruff...ask mama.
Oh yes ruffh - you should see it - not everybody can wear a hot dog bun the way Smeltz does!
What about IR6
shoot, I don't have ir6
Alanis Morisette song: And isn't it Ir6? don't you think?
THERE SHE IS!!!
Jac, Look forward to chatting tomorrow
thanks for that mental image. with kraut or without?
It feels great to laugh again
need the haddock
thanks, just figured it out - so close to the end (for once)
guess I was in the mood for a chat. sorry to bring everybody down. change of topic? hot dogs in heels, perhaps?
Yeah, what's with this OHIO STATE thing anyway???? You can do better than THAT! In the meantime, you got anything on cr 6/21?
Cr 6/21: think skull. It has 2 vowels at the end.
I sure do. finished earlier. Why?
may I have a clue, oh great one?
I've never heard of an allergy to gin. Wow. Back in the 70's, my Mom & I were addicted to amaretto & vanilla ice cream.
I hate playing certain games wher you have to be completely obnoxious. cr6 is close to one of those games.
never mind smeltzy - nenalui came to my rescue....how about the ta 6/21????
woo hoo! 88 words and no a2z. and waaaay too much chatting.
Ruff - like I said - you know wher to register and contact me.
My friends mock me for my amaretto preference -- they call it a girly drink
switch to sambuca. more kick
Was someone looking for Ir6? Normal everday word - put an ic on the end of your ir4. I need pe6 clue, please? I know its a kind of boat, but that isn't helping.
I have to say my favorite is rum. Maybe I was a pirate in a previous life
Probably time for me to go now; probably said far too much anyway. Only came her to give clues for grid. Bye.
ta 6/21... tough to explain. it has to do with flavoring and the way things taste in your mouth. a very dry wine is ta****
The truth is I don't hav the money to spend on liquor that often so I tend to stick to sipping wines instead, A bottle lasts longer that way
and I love the obnoxious game!
bye jac. 'til tomorrow or whatever. thanks for the chat. really.
mama...think of the name of that boat that sank when it hit a wee bit of ice. don't use the first part and double the consonant in the middle.
wines... ahhhh. merlot....
MAMA, I am definitely in your corner there--- rum in any form will always be accepted
pi 7/36 clues?
Ta 6/21 How's this for a clue: Someone mad for the sun: a manic ta...
I prefer reisling
Ta 6: When you sunbathe, you *** + short for the name "Nicole"
I love how threads twist back upon themselves in an almost noneuclidean geometry
Doggy, I take back almost all the nasty things I've said about you - that was an awesome clue!!! So good, I think I might ask for another... how about ma 5/22 & ma 5/14????
Hey, Grey W - how's the SEPTA strike treating you?
man this is one tough puzzle for me. guess i shouldn't have been so happy about doing alright before.......
ack. riesling. so sweet. however, I tried a good wine last weekend. Trimibach Gewurtztraminer '02 from Alsace. now I just have to find it in the shops.
Pi 7: I have a *** number for my atm card + the last letter in that word + I have a 4 *** poker.
ta6 acid. It's what's in tea and wine. Think of getting brown in the sun, double the last letter, and then add ic.
SEPTA...geez...east coast
Ma 5/22: a type of bird. The point value will help you in this one.
Philly commuters untie!
JBsAnno, personally I'm not touched by it. However, PLymouth Mall has been hit hard. Too many people who work for the various stores can't get to work because they take the bus
ma 5/22 It's the same name for a bird and a little country. Spelled differently
In college, you study ma5/14economics.
time for sex and the city. I will be back soon.
nenaluli--thank you... any clue for ac 7/36
we'll be here, nena --- enjoy!
And if they drive to work, they spend all their money on gas...
sex & the city is still on? I thought that it was in reruns.
m's done.... thank you one and all... good bird clue, SD!
just found out that I have to report for jury duty tomorrow. joy.
A lot of the demographic of the shoppers appears to be bus riders as well -- The mall was a ghost town ALL day today
OH NO!! I have no no's
That's a definite no-no, MamaB!
I'm on a roll...er...bun that's comedy. What's next
mama - french for 'black' type of seaweed
I have one, think film no 4/4
what, king of prussia?
no's word for black word for black if you were drukn.
funny, smeltz
no5 word for black...drukn...with a letter on the end.
Help! I need a ca5; I have: pile of stones kitschi weight measurement of gold creme de ca The other? Also pe6, the boat?
thanks, smeltz. I didn't have that one.
someone who makes a ca*** appearance in a film
Thanks, smeltz, I didn't have the film ca***.
Pe6/21 - that the pe5/12 and add a vowel at the end.
Thanks Ruff. Why didn't I see that? Pe6? It's a boat, but I can't find the boat.
commercials :)
Thank you Dianne!
I can't find the boat either.
I love doing the chat first time the puzzle rolls over and then with less than 2 hours to go - that's when the clues come thick and fast. I love you guys!
Evening all!!
must be really tired, still can't see no 5
Hi Schroeder
"I'm the king of the world" *standing on ottoman with my arms out*
i give up...........guess i will try tomorrow
No 5 is No 4/4 (french for black), with the last 2 letters reversed, and a vowel at the end.
nyori, monkey type the no 4/4 seaweed to add a vowel at the end.
agree, jb
i swear i tried that...thanks!
I have 14 to go, hope for a miracle.
is mama antisocial?
any other suggestions for the pe boat?
mama fell off the planet after the no's
Schroeder, I still have 54 to go, so don't feel bad
Earlier today it seemed everyone had finished I'm glad to see I'm not alone
ruff (always shorthanding the names here), take the pe 5/12, and go to the tried and true monkey typing to add another vowel.
The boat: pe6 it is in the middle three rows. Like your Pe5 pasta, but use an 'ia' ending.
ruff & smeltz - why are you stuttering???
thanks mab. I was up to my ears in my shorter oxford, and wasn't getting far
if you're talking about the repeat on the screen, I don't know what causes it. refresh sometimes helps.
Why can't I get that french black drunken word with a vowel on the end to work?????
mama - what are your first two letters?
are you drinking again mama?
no
french black drunken word - just reverse the last 2 letters
3 more words to get to 50, then feed the cats and off to bed. Someday (standing with smeltzdog on the ottoman) I'll finish a puzzle *starry eyed look* but I'm happy to get at least half the words.
how am I supposed to concentrate when you wear your super hot dog suit? You KNOW what that does to me!!!
sh** smeltz, I just refreshed & your icon changed. lol.
Because, MamaBear, you're using the wrong no 4/4. Not the film no**, but the type of seaweed no** Yes?
Smeltzdog had a small ottoman...feels slightly claustrobhopic and a little uncomfortable.
JBsAnno - stick with me and it will happen, just ask MAMABEAR --- she'll tell you!
ok. that gives me the other 4/4 i need the 5/10
add a vowel, mama
I stand on the shoulders of giants... giant Bears, giant Wolves, giant Dogs, giant ottomans?
Come on mama you can do it *breaks out the poms and is ready to dance*
I cant wait for the next puzzle :)
I swear on a stack of dictionaries I typed that in a trillion times and it didn't work. thank you......
It's my birthday on November 3rd :)
ac5 help?
happy happy, nena
ac 5 - spots on your face.
if ac5 was a martini...what would it be called.
MAMA - It's happened to me too. I type it and get buzzed. Then when someone gives me the clue, it works -- Frustrating, isn't it?

One more word, just one! Then I can go to bed to dream of ottomans and martinis and other Babble stuff.
aren't there two? and co 7 = co + en 5/12
i mean thre, aren't there three ai 4?
don't have en 5/12. guess I'm screwed.
put co in front of your en5
there are three ai4
GW - how can I say no to you? Em7 - Think Roman Em and fool around with the ending.
too bad I don't have the ca5/16 either
en 5/12 is to make into a law
co 7 - co + to put a law in force... see if you can work with that I'll try and come up with a better one

Ni 4/5 - if a dog take a bit of you he takes a ni--.
how about on7?

ni4 a palm. or think of puppies playing they ni* at your ankles, end with a vowel.
hint for pi 4/5?
A condition marked by an unusually low concentration of carbon dioxide in the blood and tissues.
on 7 - relates to dreams
