Lucky Niamh! Well, time to shut off the kiln and call it a night. Good luck all!
Ok ,thanks Darleen and Schroeder. 85 now. I want to try to do it without a list. Nice dream, huh? :D
Hi Babbler :)
darleen, how'd you get my husband's picture? **yeah, I wish** Yeah, looks like a doozy tonight.
jen, really? (LOL)... I don't wanna MARRY him, just, um spend some quality time with him?

Nite Babbler, that was a quick visit....
Nite, Babbler
Going already, Babbler? :o
I didn't sleep..... thought I may as well copy todya's grid and take it back to bed...... : (
that's a sure way to stay up all nite babbler!
I made my husband link my laptop to the wireless satelite so I can be cozy in bed and babble at the same time Yeah!!!
hi everybody
hello Griffums
Hi Griff!!!
i have agita, but it doesn't count!?!
how are ya Grif?
Doing okay. Killer work week. Home in pink fuzzy jammies to go to bed early to get to work VERY early. Stopped by computer desk. End of story......
Ok, so looks like you're with us for the duration then... right Grif?
An hour or so anyway. But I was kind of hoping to find it was like a 14 word grid...
yeah 14 words and 14,000 points.. sweet!
I'm sure you will dispose of it with your usual dispatch, Griff. I read you today. You write well and deep. Really good.
I'm assuming there is programming that doesn't let this happen but have there been any grids that didn't have any words? Like "Go home, come back tomorrow"?
Well and deep are two words that go together. I often feel I'm at the bottom of one!
hey Grif, speaking of dumb questions (right?)... when is it pretty autumn there? Or better yet, when is Alaska its most beautiful?
I like that about you. Can relate.
We don't have a true four-season year in this part of AK - spring is often over in a few days. My personal favorite is what passes for autumn. But since we are over such a large land area (1/5 the continental US) there are many different options to choose from!
have you had the opportunity to visit much of your state? At least that which is accessible?
100 and I'm breaking down. Going to check the list pretty soon.
Yes. First visited here as a child coming up the inside passage so have been all through Southeast. Lived here in southcentral and traveled wherever you can get by road. Worked in the oilpatch so have been in the arctic too. Have not been in western AK though or the Aleutians.
zubie only 76 here--- list not up yet
I checked the list... I know I'm lame, hey but at least I'm not a liar... anyway, it's not up yet (or at least it wasn't about 15 min ago)
Grif, do you think you'll stay there? In Alaska?
No list, Cheesenips? :( Ok -then I'll have to struggle for a while longer. I'm enjoying not having a list, though. But it's getting tough now. Staring at the grid and getting nothing.
Griff: did you read TC Boyle's 'Drop City?'
Well, it's been 25 years so I'm thinking yeah... It's the only place I can breathe.
No, mab, I haven't. Have read precious little this last year - seems like I am the jump ring in multiple chains so always have a lot going on. Tell me about it (email if it's too long to discuss)
zubie my agita keeps growing and i don't get any points for it... gotta go home to joisey i guess for dat
it's times like this that i wish i had a pro account. :/
that's great Grif. It's wonderful when you can find a place you are happy.
What is an agita, Cheesenips?
Hi griffums- just had to say hi to a fellow Alaskan.
Hey TL - where are ya?
Agita, Cheesenips?
About 200 miles south of Anchorage
(honestly, if I type GHOST one more time...)
Kenai?
mab if you was from joisey, you would know that agita is what youse gets when youse is frustrated by things-- a state of heightened irritation, annoyance and fear, leading to violence.. see The Sopranos series
farther south
Hehe, Griff - I keep seeing the ghost, too! This grid must be haunted by ghosts with saxophones! :D
Okay, if you don't want to tell me I'll stop guessing but there's only so far you can go without falling off, so I have the idea anyway. :)
Also called the halibut fishing capital
Home sweet Homer!
Yeah!
How many hours of daylight are you getting now, Griff?
TL, that's very funny! Actually don't do tv, but planning to see if that series is on dvd. I thought you were trying for Akita, the dog breed!
Was just down there this fall, but it was the first time in forever. Seward too. I am in love with both places and won't let it be so long before I visit again.
I've lived here 31 years so far
Seven hours and change, mab
Oops, as babble would say; I meant Cheesenips.
"so far"...keeping your options open :D
yep, winters seem to get longer every year!
Ain't that the truth. November's almost gone without any decent snow and I'm *still* complaining about winter!
Nope, that's cybernan who asked about daylight. I asked if you'd read 'Drop City,' which is set in the early '70s and is about a hippie commune that decides to move to northern Alaska from southern Cal.
mab i have already watched the first four seasons of sopranos on dvd... hmmm do i like it? ;) i rent dvds of course, i don't own a single one
So sorry nan... to make up for it I'll give a better answer: 7 hrs and 14 min to be precise, and tomorrow will be 4 min 56 sec shorter.
Hippie commune huh? They'd fit right in where TL lives.
Hey, we're an art community here
Is the Jersey influence from the show, Cheesenips, or are you originally from the lovely tristate area?
:))))
As they say, how can you keep them down on the farm once they've seen Talkeetna?
I've broken 100, haven't found a word for a while, Brandyjack's list isn't posted yet and I'm tired -- you all know what that means -- a demain!
mab, New Jersey is my beauttifull home state! And I even admit it, when pressed! Best part: outstanding wide beaches, Long Beach Island and Wildwood
There was the bare foot tribe headed by brother Isiah so I guess we do have our share of strange people
Wow, I've barely broken 40, more like tickled it.
Griff, I haven't read a lot of Boyle, but this book wasn't a bad read. A bit more than half of the action takes place in Alaska, where these people think they are going to live off the fat of the land.
this might be very ignorant, but are the any words that start with x(no list yet)
any Xs at all here?
i totally wondered that question before raolen
No X's... Mab I'll have to check that out. Always interesting to see how those stories play out against reality.
plus raolen needs a haircut
Are there any words that even contain the x?
none at all or none that start with it?
I've got one so far that contains the X but then I have only 40 words........
Couldn't get to sleep tonight so decided to start Babble early. Miss Brandyjack's stats.
Yes, Cheese, there is some posh real estate, a fact which is often overlooked due to Hoboken, etc. Frank Sinatra was from Hoboken.
Just monkeytyped a t4/9 with the x.
I found one with an x in the middle -- a t4
hello everyone I am back what are we doing here again ?? Oh yeah the commaraderie..... I have no cholcolate....please send chocolate.....LOL
Morning Munner. Sometimes they're posted later on. I don't think Brandyjack has missed posting them since he begain at babs anon.
mab Yes of course the posh area is where i'm from--- where is that exactly?
Blaze, I saw a sign today that said "I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter..."
Good night, everyone!
Night nan!
Morning Babblers across the pond......puzzle seems reasonable today.... :)
griff I usually don't have a problem but tonite I'd eat the tires off my car if someone told me they were chocolate....LOL
Hey tbear
I've heard....Never seen it, but know it's there. Like China.
Mmmmmm!
Hi, Blaze...here are some leftover Butterfinger snack size from Halloween--still tasty!
Munner thank you...
What kind would you like Blaze -- have 5 lb. in the fridge -- my share of the chocolate making session last weekend.
I munched on some while I was finishing a book. could that be why I'm not sleepy???
Hey Griffums......Blaze.....ummmmm morning, she says clutching her bowl of chocolate flavoured cereal.....
cybernan.... if not for the snow I would leave in the minute.....LOL
mab ur2much--- posh area would be where jackie o used to ride to hounds-- northwest part of state--
Guess they got a lot up top today -- it was coming down so thick this moring, I couldn't see the other side of the lake! -- gone by 2:00 pm, though.
can already tell that that ING is going to annoy me...
cybernan snow is pretty to look at but not so nice to drive in....LOL
aing doesn't work, for example
Try adding an easterly letter.
Really....Cheesenips... :)
killed the i's!!! (minor triumph but i'll take what i can get!!)
110 words -- off to bed -- for sure this time!
The i's were almost dead before we got here. Not to diminish your achievement...
Night nan. Go on...go to bed...go..
my achievement will go up on my wall right next to my spelling strips
Cheesenips... be nice to your 'i' s,you never know when you might need 'em
Here, here.
mab...is that some kind of orchid...(rummaging for glasses)
uright tb
T'is. I'm a little fanatical about orchids. This one is native to the northeastern US (and undoubtedly a good part of Canada).
does anyone have any generic clues? no list up yet, but i'm struggling at around 80 words
ok teg--- h 5/16--- kind of a tepee or an Irish DA
Now my ghosts are eating Fritos (which messes up their saxophones)
There are 30 S words and 14 G words. Does that help?
Mab....love orchids too, plus lots of other things...I studied horticulture, when my girls were small. In Menorca (Balerearics) they have a tiny wild orchid that flowers in May all over...it's exquisite :)
abd dib't fiorget the guitar.....LOL any fish yet ?? the horse food is here of cours....
Lol Griffums. My ghosts with saxophones keep swallowing toxins. Perhaps the toxins are in the fritos?
and --- putting your fingers on the right keys....
I haven't seen a fish yet. Yesterday's was a zoo veritable.
hiney
By the way, Cheesenips, I have to admit that I tried 'efing,' but no go.
any hints on the 8 letter?
plural of fi 7/52
There is one. That would be my greatest insight at this moment.
mab congrats, you're on the wrong track!
and THAT would be what?
guess I need a hint on the fi7, then.
Thanks, Munner.
ruff, a fish has a dorsal --- + the legend of Big ----
thanks munner
de nada
That was wonderful.... thank you Munner........ and all
munner...you morning star you...what a way to start my puzzle...thx ;)
Aw, shucks...
I found treasure! *Piratical pose*
Very dashing, zubie!
Did X mark the spot?
h 5/16 - quite a hulk
No, Griffums! :D But I wouldn't 'bar' ;D that it might have!
152 down, 69 to go--- thanks Munner
<hmmmmm......>
Cheesenips - there are more than 152?? What's the total for this grid?
It must be the 'new' math.
Any more information about the hulk, tegrenath?
Stop lookinng Cheesenips! You're done.
well, it has nothing to do with the definition of the word... just something to help get it, because i honestly don't know how the word can be used in everyday life. it's an ho btw.
That's funny, tegrenath, bc that clue *did* help me get two words that relate!
Oh dear, speaking of lateral thinking, I just noticed the surcharge on prostitutes...
why is HENTIA not a valid word?
teg --- got it.... and more....
Oh! I just got it too, thanks!
along the horticultural lines ho5 that slugs and snails love
Correction 84 down 68 to go.. I admit that I wuz WONG!! i mean WRONG!!
Cheesenips just gave a clue, I think. It is an American Indian dwelling or, and this is cheese, "an Irish DA"
"DA" would mean "District Attorney" for you any slo-mos excluding present company of course
But what does that have to do with the dwelling? And what does hentia mean? Surcharge on prostitutes? I don't understand anything tonight.
Surcharge on prostitutes wasn't a real clue, mab - just a ho tax.
Help! What letter does the word for the am.indian clue start with? And help with the hulk, please!
They're two clues for the same H word, zubie
same word, starts with h!
I guess I am running a tad slow tonight. Got it now.
Zubie the blondeish wrestle -- bad actor -- action man hulk ho***
hiney
Blaze. Got it! And to think that, as a kid, I was a fan! Doh to my brain!
hiney still doesn't work :(
You seem to enjoy saying it, Cheese, as you're repeated it at least three times now. It's been my experience that if a combination is rejected once, it will be rejected no matter how many times I try to enter it. What is this about an Irish DA? Is that who the hulk was?
mab i have sworn off hineys forever-- will be forever on the wagon wrt hineys-- thank you
in4, our favorite south american river mammal. Not exactly a fish...
Mab no haddock for you.... great find
and another in4 from Peru.
Oh, that was my last I too! thanks
Trying to get to 100 before I go night-night, where I should have been an hour ago
Griffums, that was my goal, too. I'm off to try sleeping again.
110 - [sigh]
Bye munner
Sleep? Who needs sleep??
:))) hey torgone!
Good nite and goodmorning
torgone...you're looking mightychipper....
Zubie, my ghosts are eating fritos *and* rigatoni
Torgone, how can you be up after the day you've had. You maybe are overly tired.
Heya tbear, griff!
Mab...he's strutting his stuff whilst all the hens are around...lol
I expect so, tbear.
Come on torgone....do the funky (cockerel) chicken
Well, Griffums, my saxophone-playing ghosts are eating fritos and riding goats now. :s
Okay, that's 100 and I'm going to go to bed. Another fun day of regulatory audits tomorrow, world without end... Night everybody.
Now that's a rodeyooooo!
I'm foraging for rigatoni.
Zubie there really is a big guy in there.... may be he can pick some vegetables for us....
Nite Griffums..... have a good day...
Just got back from picking up my daughter after my son finally got moved to a private room and he's looking much better and my other daughter got picked up by her boyfriend and daddy needed a drink and to construct a ridiculous run-on sentence and wind down for a few minutes before crashing.
Hope those audits go well, griff. 'Night.
Gather ur not up 4 funky chicken then!! Don't know the whole story but sounds like life's landed in the lap again... :(
Aw, poor torgone. But it' great that your son is getting better. The rest I couldn't follow, but, poor torgone.
Spent ALL of today taking my son to the hospital, hanging around in hospital, etc. LSS - Viral meningitis, he'll be fine, I'll need a nurse.
Another big guy, Blaze? :/This is terrible. 'Night, Griffs!
Another, zubie?
he could pick beans for jack
Ah..Thank you zubie, Blaze.
OOoo that must have been v. scary...glad u say he's on the mend.....bear hug for you and yr family then...
I need a clue for the other big guy who picks beans for Jack Blaze!
Zuy g 5/14
zubie....beans for jack....think G____ Haystacks another big guy like Hulk H____
You've really had some kind of day, torgone. But looking on the bright side, what better place to pick up - I mean meet a nurse?
Hope that's not a britishy clue only
Mab send him an orchid...to use and charm the nurse (s) not that he needs help ,of course
LOL! Got it! How did I miss that? :/ Must be tired. Or not concentrating :D Thanks, Blaze.
it is a great R word too
Thanks tbear. And, indeed, mab. There were a couple cute ones . .
mab my irish da was da of nyc
Nelson!
Torgone....please refresh....found something to keep you going.....
Oh yes, do bring these 500 stems of frilly, sweet-smelling orchids when you visit your son. Say it with cattleyas (sp). Single, compassionate parent? Bearing flowers? You're golden.
Nurse Kitty! I like the way you think, mab..
Awwww....If that doesn't make torgone feel brighter, why, nothing will! Hey torgone, cheesenips lives in your city.
hey, when does the list usually come out?
No kidding! Heya cheesenips! (Don't always click on the blue pradas...)
It is usually there instantly, but brandyjack generates it on his own time, so sometimes things come up. Like his job, etc.
I really really want to put foreign in.....pls purry pls
Maybe if i spelt it...fawing
My ghosts with their goats, fritos and saxophones have now started finding tapirs and tigers. I think I need a break!
Well I am stumped at 60 words left to go... so will rest till morning and try try again.....
take it easy Blaze.....you are fawing...(sorry had to use it) rest well...
Cheesenips meet torgone. Torgone, may I present Cheesenips. Mr. Cheese is formerly of New Jersey. Mr. gone is formerly of somewhere in the midwest. There you've been properly introduced.
Good night, Blaze. I will be retiring in a moment myself.
HIya Torgone! Pleesedtomeetchyouse!!
Zubie, it's all a nawing hoax created by the h - t s-x fe - nd. He's a ghost that died in a terrible saxophone accident!
Thanks, mab. Goodnight all. I think that's just about it for today . . .
Morning guys :) Hey Gorgeous shake your tail feathers!!!!! Blaze, i took your advise and felt the feelings!!! In other words i sobbed for an hour and felt a bit better :)
aw cmon torgone, at least have a calzone foist
Rest well torgone. You had a huge daddy day and you were great.
Yes, jen, he is. And now he just directed me to a taxi and my world is spinning.
torgone, rest well and give your son our babblers best!
Calzone, Kolbassi sangwitch, nice steaming bowl of pho . .I could go for them all, but totally dead right now. Will def. chat later.
cyster- ?!?
just kidding folks

Yeah just had an emotional day!
Helllllllloooooooo lotti!!!!!!!!!! (((hugs)))) luv! Hope you're okay. I'm beat like the family goat.
Hi lottijw, were your test results ok?

Hi Hippycat!
Moussa, great clues for the "f"s earlier in log...
not really, with the headache absolutely not.... sorry you may give out more clues, you are obviously generous and we deserve it
mousakka - think of what a fish has on it's back which helps it to swim and then think of what you use to walk. [fi7]

Yes, mousakka. :D x is used.
i have one word using x so far...
Yep. Me too...t4, very close to the english word
at the or the middle or end of the word??? If at the end it has to be ending TAX or SAX... no?
no,that's the beginning actually!
well, I mean: one of your suggestions is the beginning of the word you are looking for.
found it, and I do not have aclue what does it mean........
Look it up! it's a biological thingy.
it's the plural form of a word meaning biological grouping.
hey i found a word that's in the puzzle but when i went to look up what it mean't it said it didn't exist!!!!
that happens quite often
aah does it? ok hey micamonkey - you should have my icon :)

Well, maybe there is a way to report that error. Anyone know?
Wow. Dia dhuit people! LOL!
Jenwould - I got that flu shot yesterday. I think the nurse did it wrong because my whole arm is sore and the site it very swollen and red! :(
Sherry! Your Irish now!
Aye! My heart is Irish!
So Sherry, were you born in France?
Indeed. In the Monmartre district, in Paris. I'm living in Toulouse now, south west.

FI7 and 8 what a fish swims with plus what we walk with and its plural
*grabs anj and screams along to "Rebel Yell"*
ok, i had to move to the s's and i found the sh7/32 it is an evil spirit or a sandstorm in india...
or start at the bottom s, go north (on the grid) and end with what you get if you lay out in the sun...
evan...are ya cryin more more more???
Thanks Baggo
Got it! Thanks Baggo!
lol Baggo :) I know what you mean, but because I was peripatetic in my last role, and the fact that those who appreciated me most were booted out at the same time, it feels like i'm starting again in this part of the world :/
of course -- in the midnight hour, anyway. :)
I still have 101 words to find but I have all the 7s and 8s. Baby crying. Maybe time to try a nap. TTFN.
cya minski!!
Thanx baggo!
Cheers EvaNadine :) He played that last night. The only 'hit' he didn't play was Catch My Fall. Even covered LA Woman. Steve Stevens is still a bl**dy good guitarist :)
Oh no Anj! We are definitely crying more, more, more! *gives Anj a big hug*
gosh minski, i was starting on the wrong f so at first i was like, "what the heck is she talking about?" but now i got it, thanks a bunch!!!! :) :)
Cheers MInski :')
i see what you mean, but i'm sure that you are great at whatever you put your mind to.. something will come, it's just not the right time yet..
i saw billy idol earlier this year...my friend + i were worried he may have gotten old + lost it, but he sure didnt!! :D
Anybody got af 6/27?
Baggo, that's what I keep telling myself. "Don't clutch at straws or you get hay" lol EvaN, he doesn't look in bad nick for 48 yrs old lol. That's in a manly way of course :D
still looks quite nice in those leather pants too! ;)
Sherry, af6 starts with the butt end of a ship, then a hoop, the the initials of the country where you find Capetwon, Jo'berg :)
ok show of hands...how many people are singin rebel yell now....***raises hand, son looks at mom like she's nuts, he's home sick and says i'm not makin him feel any better**
*raises both hands and waves them about!*
*punches the air* :)
Great Anj! Got it! Would never have found that one on my own.
the ramones and him are clashing in my head..**make it stop, jumps up and starts to dance***
baggo is a punk-rocker!
y/w Sherry - it's a shy Babble word. Turns up regularly but never makes itself obvious lol :)

Yay! Judirae :) EvaN, there's a whole continent of krautrock over here. I only know a few of the groups but on Last there are german members with artist liststhat have more umlauts than you can shake a stick at :)
Congrats Judirae!
i know some butt-kickin finnish musicians -- Apocaliptica!!
Goooooooood Morning Babbleland! How is everyone today?
Baggo, no I haven't. I know Rammstein, Gamma Ray, Accept and a few others but i've only skimmed that scene
Thanks eveyrone!
Hi Jen!
Hi Jen :) Just fine thanks - how about you?? EvaN, aren't they the classical band that covered Metallica??
its amazing, when you put in a few names for the radio and what you get...i've learned of some great bands..and evan will have to look for that one...funny anj, but with my tastes i don't have many neighbors at times...lol
hi jen, sorry didn't see ya come in...
sure are! coupla guys with cellos rockin out! mostly metallica, but some other stuff here + there too. :)
Apocalyptica are AWSOME. Got their latest album. Just great!
That's okay baggo, I'll make my good morning louder next time! :)
sorry to bother, but perhaps a clue for the ho7?
ive only got one album that i picked up in a second-hand music store, but its great!
try "rebel yellin" it...**anj saw billy idol last night**
Baggo, when you've got less than 5000 plays on Last, neighbours are easy to match. It's when you go higher that the fun starts. I've got neighbours, but as far as I know i'm only a neighbour to DDave & Lola. lol...I want to know who i'm corrupting :D
hurshy think dancing...or horses feet...
grr...i thought of that and then couldn't see it so thought it wasn't there! thanks!
i match lola most days...i have yet to make it to you, and i'm tryin...cause you do play a variety...so we'll see... ;-) my son loves the music that you play...can only imagine what's on that ipod now...lol
Billy ended up with a 15 minute version of Mony Mony with the drummer & keyboard player both on guitars as well has him & Steve Stevens. Talk about a wig out :)
<<lifts lip in a sneer>> Good Morning Baggo!
now that would've been AWESOME!!!! too bad you're not in the us, my nephew works security for a venue here, and anytime we want we go...didn't see much last summer (its outdoor), but theres always this year!!!
hmmm just found an unlikely aw5/22 - goes on with a prayer ;)
Well, I was looking for that aw but I don't get your clue Anj...
Sherry, 'on aw.... and a prayer' :)
"a w*** and a prayer"
hello babbler...nice look!!!
Goooo Babbler :)
Baggo, i'm a cluster 2 dude on LastFM, on the server is offline at the mo so my recent tracks played aren't updating in real time. I'm listening to Magic Dirt at the mo :)

Great! Just 58 words to go.

Hi Lianakate!
hey liana...yeah they were nasty here too...warm , rain then cold has heck today...hope smeltzdog is okay cause they were headed his way too. this weather thing this year is awful..i lived in my basement last night!!
Lo, hot in the city :)
Hi liana :) Anj, how you feeling today babe??
Morning liana! I guess we are about to get your storms... but that's okay, because it will finally cool down here and feel like mid-November!
Not bad thanks babe :) Got rid of the shooting head pains I had yesterday at least :)
Baggo: can I get some more clue for fo 4/7? My brain is a butterscotch pudding...!
sherry how about a "forum" does that help...or think of one of the faeries in sleeping beauty minus a consonant at the beginning...
Oh good :)
ok, i'm done. what clues do people need? (if any)
Well done Hurshy!
nice job hurshy!!!
why thank you, sherry!
thanks baggo!
woo Hurshy :)
Ah, man...I was with the wrong fo syllable...Told you: butterscotch brains!!! Thanks Baggo!
hey anj, how's things with you? let's see, it's just past 2:30 your time?
Good morning, all! On the topic of storms, I'm glad I woke up in Memphis this morning and not in Oz. Hope everyone in the path made it through okay!
Hi scoutsmom!
scoutsmom - why would you be glad about that? oz would be a much cooler place to live than anywhere else!
hello scoutsmom!!!
hello,every1. I love coming on to start when someone is finishing. I feel like there's hope. Good work, hurshy.
Hi gramma!
glad to have given you hope, gramma! :)
Overcast with scattered magpies thanx Hurshy :) How about you?? Hi Scouts :)
Hurshy-- Oz may be all colorful and everything, but those flying monkeys freak me out.
What's the grid like today? Doesn't look too bad.
things are ok here. i just need to find some way to stop worrying about one of my students and just relax! my stomach has been haywire for three days.
the flying monkeys have since been set free. they were never bad or anything anyway, just under a spelll where they had to grant three wishes to whoever had them.
hurshy i admire your dedication and your love for your students... that's great to see!!!! don't know what's up but hope all goes well!!
hurshy, is there anything you can do about this student?
Hello everyone...gramma, that is one cute baby!
yeah, i've been helping him a lot but he's very stubborn about not following rules that he doesn't think make sense. he's quite smart and i don't want him to jeopardize his academic future over stupid little things.
and thanks, baggo. :)
he plays babble, too, and when he ought to be sleeping! it's making me feel guilty for introducing him to the game.
you're welcome...with kids 12,10, 8 i really admire dedication in teachers...and i can only hope that if there ever is trouble, that they run across a teacher like you...8-)
Hi boys! Long time, no see :)
I had 1 like that. Too smart for his own good. He didn't see the need to do the same work as every1 else. He felt he shouldn't have to....he thought it was beneath him
Hi Lola, been working in London a lot with not much chance to play
*hurshy looks around* boys, lola? only boy i see here is anj.
oh i get it you meant boysaway.
Hurshy, if he's that stubborn he'll jeopardise his academic future at *some* point, with or without your help. I don't mean to sound pessimistic - some people just seem to need to pick at things until they've messed everything up. I've seen people fail their PhDs that way ...
woot!
ignore slow hurshy, please.
I had a major "feeling old" moment the other day when I was in the scrapbook store... one of the cashiers was a former student of mine! She was in my Special Ed reading class... she was 7th grade but reading at about a 2nd grade level. She started college this fall!!
yeah, i just need to be more detached about the whole thing, since i cannot control what he does.
I'm finding this tough..the devil's own puzzle..
18 to go and I need to go and get a few things. BBL folks :D
bye anj!!!
And hi hurshy! lol, sorry for the confusion :)
YAWN *tumbles back into the chatlog for a nap*
ok, i am going to give everyone a lovely resource that i discovered two days ago. merriam webster has a browse feature on their site, which can be immensely helpful.
bye anj
bye anj, hi lola!
Cheers babe, see you later :) xxx
hurshy there are some fun games on that site too!!
Hi evanadine :)
those games (like most) are blocked by our school network.
***gives a rebel yell to wake up evan***
wi5/22 - who would have thought this was a valid word> Brits, think The Road to Wi*** Pier
that's funny hurshy, cause they are actually educational...it's funny at work, what we have blocked too.. on about 5 computers if i babble, i can't chat...the box is gone, but there are 2 that i can...what's up with that???
well, thanks for the support all. i should be going to get some housework done. happy babbling!
bye hurshy!!! things will work out!!
I'm off to the eye dr. It should make the grid interesting to see when I get back. See ya all later. Babble on!
baggo - maybe dr. god has blocked some of the IP addresses - if someone misbehaved in the chat from those computers at some point?
bye gramma!!
don't know how often he has to do that.
anyway, bye!
oh i didn't even think of that...we did have some girls that got rude from there under odd names...that makes total sense...
afternoon all :)
HI Atalante and Boysaway! A bit late for the greetings but I was on the phone with a pupil. Right, back to 'casse-tête' now!
Hi EvaN
Hi Evanadine!
I'm outa here for a while. Talk to you guys later! :)

i hope so too...that was so nice of you to start that, don't know if i ever told you that..;-)

sry dont mean to sound impatient, just a little tired

raolen...here's what anj said earlier about the af/6 af6 starts with the butt end of a ship, then a hoop, the the initials of the country where you find Capetwon, Jo'berg :)
That's ok! I just needed to get back to Anj's post and I'm a bit slow!!!! LOL!

First three letters of a heavenly being followed by a song sung in opera
Hi everyone!! Work is over, so i`m back :)

Hiya gorgeous, did you get enough sleep?
Oh good. If you ever need to chat you know where I am :)
Not really. Could have used a couple more hours kip.

Oh babe, we`ll snuggle up later (((xx))) Hubby`s away tonight........ ;)
i know what you mean raolen i'm not that good oh and anyone cant you just put down a list of words
Poor little guy! He's not that little. It was kind of funny to see this 6 foot, 200 lb. 17 1/2 year old in the pediatric ward!
lol i thot for some reason from the chat last night he was a young'un! :) still glad he's better tho!
He's still my baby!

You bet, baby! Let's cuddle . .
torgone, what happened to your son??
Right now theres nothing i`d like more(((xx)))
Ouwachita, I went to a small private college spelled almost the same as your name. Sorry no clues for you...still working on those too!
He was in such pain yesterday morning, we had to ambulance him to the hospital. Spent all day finding out he has viral meningitis. He'll be fine, but it was a long day.
just need the ro6/36 now...got the so5/16...plzzzzzz
Oh torgone, that is really scary. Glad to hear he is okay though!
monpa...where was it located?
ro 6/36 - you do this with oars
Ouw to do with boating
Southwest Arkansas
Sis...Torgone says it`s him that needs the nurse though!!!! So here i am to nurse him!!!
LOL! You go for it sis! :)
thanks molly....DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...i must be brain dead.

Heheh...that's my girl! :)

Sis it`s in my profile now!!!
Would appreciate the 2nd fo4/7 please
af6/27 is hoof and mouth disease
Cool sis, got it :)
fo4/7 ...think latin for flowers and take away the "L"
Brilliant, now it`s gone again!!!
sis, I'll mail you as soon as I can, bit busy with small person at the mo :/
Yeah no probs! :) I`m just glad you`ve got it now.
You two sisters didn't have each other's email addresses??
LOL Torgone!!! I thought you might brag that you already had it!!! (We`re not real sisters...shhhhh)
When my reply to you came back undelivered, I assumed you had "accidentally" misspelled your return address!
lotti/lola - you're not? all these weeks I thought you were! (altho reading your bios...it appears that you're not!) Hi Everyone!
Aww babe i wouldn`t do that to you. Anyway i sent you more mail since then!
Lol EB, Macadam really is my mum though and she really adopted Lola on a game of Babble :)
You got mail sis! :) Hi east, lol! No we aren't really sisters, sorry for the confusion :)
anyone have hints on the fi7/52 and fi8/70 plz
Ok Sis i`ll go look :)
we're all part of the Babble family anyway...
mollie, think what a fish swims with (3 letters) and what you walk with. Pluralise for the 8 :)
east, that exactly it! I think lotti and I started calling each other 'sis' as a joke after macadam's offer to adopt me, but it just kinda stuck. She IS my babble sis now! :)
thank you lola
Whoo Drain Doctor here, i`ll be back soon!
ouwachita, totally didn't get your af6/27 clue, was really hoping it was the plural anyhoo-another clue? or anyone got another clue?
Hi smaller :) Try adding 'go ** the shops' and the country I'm from :)
Anj's clue: butt end of a ship + a hoop + initials of the coountry in which Capetown is located
thanks lola and sherry!
De nada!
ok i got all of that clue but the hoop part
ouwachita, I've monkey typed everything and it won't accept anything. I know the latin and still can't get it???
ak, an "o" makes a hoop shape
davetins: the fauna and the f...minus the 'l'
yes it does doesn't it ! i am not terribly bright sometimes
Sherry and ouwichia TYVM, I was only working from the bottom f, completely forgot the upper one!!! That's me finished, any help you need?
personally i am beyond help!
Congrats davetins! I need help with fe 4/4
lol at aknitter!
fe4/8 is a funny one, no definition try not hers without the i
2 things, 1. I'm paranoid now about posting a word in giving a clue 2. how the hecque does Brandyjack do this without his own list these things haunt me now
No fe4/4
ai 4/4 ?
You got mail Sis!
aknitter a plural of what you use to catch fish without the first letter
davtins -- I'll pay you for the ai word, no one will know
Thanks davetins!
smaller, before BJ came up with the lists we used to post our own second letter ones in the log. I did that once but the log jumped and I posted by mistake...with most of the words still in the list. THAT makes you paranoid! :D
Yay! Thanks sis, will check it out in a minute :)
Smaller - I believe Brandyjack runs a computer program to 'spit out' the stats... I'm the same way with typing clues (altho' I'm usually asking!!)
ty ty ty davtins. the check is in the mail
I`m off to pick Lotti up from karate, but i`ll be back soon :) See you all later!
Torgone (((((((((((((((xxxxxxx)))))))) )))))))
'bye sis :)
hey drain doctor can u come fix my drain
EB - I'm speaking of course of the 1 or 2 times I can actually give a clue, hahahaha Lola - oops, but that story did make me feel better
Shorty its not funny outside my house now stinks of sh*t and it`s costing me over £100 :(
ooooooo im sorry. my kitchen sink is clogged
I'm going to have "lotti from Karate" sing-songing in my head for the rest of the day now.
dont know how much that is im from the states
I'm stuck with an 5/14 and an 4/4. Help!!
There are two an4/4, both the same except for different vowel on the end. The an5/14 ends in something that is neither solid or liquid.
Really wish we'd get a puzzle with some A's in it.
LOL - scoutsmom
And some O's.
Right. Got the an 4/4. But are you sure Lola for the an 5/14? an + the nor solid nor liquid in three letters gives five letters alright but only 10 points...and it's 'not valid'...
Any clues for an 7/36? Please
an 5/14 an + what you put in your car
sherry, do you have all three ag4/6's? It ends with the same last three letters as the middle ag4/6.
Thanks Lola and Tbug! It worked!
Tbug, thank you! Not being american I didn't think of that, we call it petrol of course :)
Sherry, check the babble rules: the longer the word, the more the points, so it's 14 points for that 5-letter word.
ah, true - ah well, just adds to the challenge of this game! that's why its so fun!! :)
Hi all!
sh7/32?
morning, shroeder!
Tbug, I know! We've had lots of fun comparing the different names we all have for the same things :)
Scoutmom: yes, except that I had the wrong three letter word so I didn't get 14 points.
good afternoon Schroeder...
Hi schroeder :)
Hi Schroeder!
I must go start dinner, see you all later :)
bye lola, happy cooking
What's for dinner lola?
cheerio Lola!
bye lola...
Oh! I wish it were dinnertime here.
lol, pork chops in chinese 5 spice marinade, baked potatoes and green beans with gravy :)
whoa that description made me hungry!
I'm coming over, lola! That sounds yummy!
might have to get that 5 spice recipe from ya sometime!

Hail! Hail! -- I see you're all well underway.
Hi Cybernan!
what do you do when you have made all the words you can think of? how do you submit?
Hi cybernan...
Hi cybernan
Submit to the power of Babble! Bwahahahaha!
Hi cybernan!
LOL scoutsmom
thanks a lot--never been here before
Just a little joke.
i am having extreme difficulty with the site...anyone else?
I think afoosh should be a word -- makes as much sense as a lot of the others! Anyone have a clue for the af6?
Temple - I was yesterday...today - not so much...
can you just leave and it keeps track of what you have done?
yep, amrcal
thanks, LeslieAnn
armcal - yes...this grid is only 'up' until midnight central time US (1 a.m. ET)...at that time, it switches over to the new grid...
did anyone else try 'hotair' today? :)
amrcal hope this helps x http://p105.ezboard.com/f babblersanonymousfrm2.showMess age?topicID=6.topic
Tbug - if it's for "hotair" balloon...it's 2 words...
there are ? in front of all my words. What does that mean?
sh 7/32?
tbug - tried it last night with the same result you got!
it will provide a definition (in most cases) for the words. There are frequently words most humans have never heard of...and we get to them by "monkey typing" (random combos of letters) to come up with the words...
amrcal, you can click on the ? and it'll give you a definition of that word.
G'day Babblers! How is everyone today?
ya it was just wishful thinking
harpjane: an evil spirit in arabian tales
ga5/20? I've been monkey-typing for a while now...anyone have a clue for me?
Hi everyone! I'm back. :)
Hi Bugzy..doing great and you?
Hi Bugzy, Jen...
Tbug - if you're looking for the ho 6 - it's what you do in the garden to prepare for planting the seeds
Hi Bugzy & Jen
ScoutsMom - add a vowel to your 4/6 above it
Scoutsmom - I think Schroeder meant a consonent...
Hi Bugzy!
Fine, thanks, Schroeder, other than the fact that it's SNOWING for the first time this year! Yuk! Scoutsmom - did any of those twisters hit near you last night? I was watching the Weather Channel ... looked nasty!
ga 5/10: ga4/6 before it + only consonant that adds up to 10
Sorry that would be add a constanan to the 4/6 above it.
Gaaaah! Thanks...
We haven't had our first snow yet Bugzy, it is suppose to be in the high 60's here today
No, Bugzy, but we thought they might. Sky got all black just as workday was ending and by the time I'd picked Scout up from school it was orange outside...that spells tornado where I come from. But just got lots of wind and a big cold front. 72 degrees yesterday, 40 today.
I`m back again like a bad penny!!! Hello everyone :)
Hey, Lotti! How's that drain?
Yeah, we got the cold front too. Just colder here today, 30s and windy! Hi Sherry, EB, Jen, anyone else I'm forgetting :)
scoutsmom i thought i was the only one seeing yellow last night
And of course, the powers that be at work decided today was a great time for a fire drill. Nice. Hi Lotti :)
The front has started here in NoVa and the temp is dropping. I am looking forward to the cooler weather!
just started raining in reston.
OMG Baaaaddd news Scouts, its blocked with concrete!! You can imagine the heated conversation I had on the phone with the builder who`s done my "new" drive! He`s coming tomorrow and he better offer to do it himself or to at least pay the DrainDoctor! :/
any clues on fe5/16??
fordo!! You are a short walk from me! I'm in Herndon!
efor change a vowel in fa5/16
thanks dsp!
what does number/number mean?
number of letters/number of points for a word.
Um, Lotti...I think he needs to fix it AND clean up the funky-smelling goop!
oh
efor, are those dancing cows?
If he ends up covered i`ll be on the floor PML!!!! It`s lucky for him that i like him or he`d be burried down the drain!!!!
jen - work in reston, live in ashburn. I drive by you every day :)
ha ha ha ha ha lotti...
help af 6/27
Wow! Small world, huh. There are tons of us NoVa/MD people around but no one is as close to me as you are.
sherry: do you have a different clue for sh 7/32? I guess I don't know my Arabian evil spirits too well.
scoutsmom - they are actually can-canning cats! i am addicted to these digital photos by this guy! that's where all my icons come from. :o)
My bad...it's just small today.
or a dust storm (india): just google the definition!
i'm with harp, googling didn help much,
good afternoon all - how is everyone this really warm fall afternoon
ok: then first column from bottom + two more letters
Hello, Doll. Doing well in Memphis but it's not at all warm.
all for sh7: google the second clue : )
jen, yeah, some hokie friends of mine showed me the site and now I'm hooked.
Well, that was certainly a good clue. Thanks, Sherry! I hadn't gotten that far yet.
won't be warm much longer here... philly's getting that major cold front.
It's at least 70 where I am in New Jersey
Hi Doll :) I feel like a gangster or something saying that... :)
and silly me has long sleeves on
Argh! Not another Hokie fan! :) Florida State here.
Watch you don't get cheesed, Bugzy. I thought with your name, you WERE a gangster!
It's a nickname for Dolores
What's a Hokie?
how many words today?
152!
Harpjane? Found it?
LOL Scoutsmom... Not a gangster, just my dog's name! However, the gangster in me loved seeing ga4/6 in the grid today !! Doll - I have an Aunt Dolly, short for Dolores. We all call her Aunt Dee, though.
an7/36 help please x x
an 7/32 : The legal right of a belligerent to seize, use, or destroy the property of a neutral, provided that full compensation is made.
sorry I meant an 7/36! again typing too fast!
m3: take your an4/6 right before it, and add a suffix to make it rhyme with the Spanish word for "Mary."
you know, or what Sherry said.
Thanks peeps. think my brain has frozen, its soooooo cold :-o
thanks scoutsmom and sherry, needed you both on that one!
Sherry - my eyes are bad today...who is that in your icon? and where did he get those arms??? Yow!
sh 7. I googled, asked Jeeves, learned all about dust storms, but there was not one word that started sh... i give up, plead my ignorance and the fifth.
lol joey, me too!
For the sh7, try Googling this: the story of a group of youngsters who exit a disco late one night and accidentally run into a shepherd who has prepared himself for a night of Satanic worship
tbug, glad that I am not the only one, I am usually so good at getting clues that I read the clues, type the answer and don't even look at the puzzle. This one has me stumped.
Bugzy: that is Captain Apollo (Jamie Bamber) in Battlestar Galactica! The guy who also played Archie Kennedy in Horatio Hornblower.
OMG Bugzy, I have the word but I'm googling anyway.
Hi all! sh7 - go directly north -last three letters are what you get when you sunbathe. clue posted earlier - thanks whoever it was!
LOL i bablefished "marry" it gave me Er hat sich bepisst vor lachen. Then i translated it back into English. it gave me "There is no one on this entire earth who will love you as much as I do". ohh how sweet!!!!!
oh, my lord, that was the most fun I have had being frustrated in a long time. got it, thanks, thanks, thanks
*lola makes notes about what sherry just said* Hi guys, back from dinner :)
hi snowy! hi lola!
Lola: hee, hee, hee...
WoooHooo!!! ty ty ty snowy! :)
Hi Temple Owl!
HI snowy!
He's a total hottie, Sherry ;) Don't you want to see the movie, Scouts?? And Hi Lola :)
What a random movie. I shall have to have several martinis and then go see it.
And Hi Snowy too :)
yw Tbug - only passing on a kindness!
so what are those 5 spices in the marinade lola? i have porkchops in my freezer :)
Scoutsmom, I asked some of my Hokie friends a long time ago and get this, it's a castrated turkey!!
*lola decides that as soon as she has found her last 6 words she is going to keep sherry talking* Hi snowy :)
Hi All! Snowy, that was a great clue for the sh7. Thanx. It's in the 70's today; no snow, no tornadoes..
*runs off to google "hokie" just to see*
ty bugsby for that clue for the sh7/32
Greetings :)
we have snow too.
Lola: just 6 words left? Man! I still got 20 to go!
hi anj...hi smaller!
Tbug, it's a mixed spice we get out here called chinese 5 spice. Do you want me to tell you how I make them?
Hi Chic!
Is it possible to see running scores for the current puzzle?
Hi Anj.
Hi Chic! I bet there's snow on Mt Lemmon, though :)
Hey babe! (((xx)))
Apparently, it has nothing to do with a turkey (according to the school's website). It's from a cheer some guy named Stull wrote, and I reproduce it here to annoy everyone: Hoki, Hoki, Hoki, Hy. Techs, Techs, V.P.I. Sola-Rex, Sola-Rah. Polytechs - Vir-gin-ia. Rae, Ri, V.P.I.
And Hi Anj :) Boy I'm slow today!
Lola I would love to know your recipe, I have 5 spice in my cupboard right now.
any x's?
Hi Temple, Snowy, Bugzy :) Hi babe ((xx)) How are we all doing? Wossis about a 5 spice recipe???
Hi smeltzdog - you should find a skiing hot dog for a seasonal icon! Mind you seeing the sun is nice - its cold and dark here!
I only have one ex, but we get along okay.
no x's
Wow, Scoutsmom, yesterday the history of Thanksgiving and today the history of the VaTech Hokies... What's next??? And Hi Smeltzdog too... like I said, slow today !
No snow on the Mtn. You have to have clouds or rain and we haven't had either in awhile.
no word beginning with x but it's used in a word, though
so it it a mix of 5 herbs/spices? do you know which ones?
hi all who just joined (or rejoined) Anj, lola, lotti, snowy, smeltzie!
LOL Scoutsmom!!
Schroeder, recipe may not be the right word to use here :/ I'll try to think of how much of everything I use and post it in babblers anon, okay?
Evening Eastern :)
actually- <refresh> its the mrs.
Alright, trying to finish the s's here... Does anyone have the 2nd sa5/14 and the 2nd so5/16? Please and thank you :)
thanx lola :)
Great Lola ty
5/14: same as t 5/14 but change the first letter
Tbug, I'll check the spice bottle and let you know :)
Anyone want to know what a Hoosier is now? I've totally lost the thread of this puzzle.
just googled it and got it, ty tho! :) sounds yummy!!!
Mrs. Smeltzie!! Hi...glad to see you have your 'own' icon... : ) Mr. Smeltzie gave me "what for" for suggesting it last time : )
That def. actually came from a VT grad who also majored in animal sciences.
Hi dudes, movieman's back!!! Ne cluez 4 the 8 plz?
Anj - how was Billy Idol??
TY Sherry!
movieman, it's a part of a fish plus a part of the body.
(I had "White Wedding" going through my head for awhile yesterday... and - it's back!!)
Eastern, hot in the city last night lol :) Very good :D We've been singing Rebel Yell all day lol
Hi movieman!
movieman: plural. forgot to say.
Scoutsmom, and while you're at it, what's a Hoya??
howdy movieman
Any clues for af6/27?
How about a buckeye? (Michiganders are excused from answering.)
I have one of those in my house Bugzy
Isn't a buckeye some sort of nut?
She cried More, More, More awwwwwh
im a buckeye
Sadly, not even the IU website can tell us what a Hoosier is. Apparently there is no definition.
Exactly, Jen..
Howdy Torgone :)
LOL Schroeder... always wondered why Georgetown wanted to be the "Hanging Plants"!! A Buckeye, I believe, is a nut.... and being from the "other" Michigan university, I will refrain from any other comments... Other than to say Go Buckeyes :)
Heya Anj!
Well, Boomer Sooner to all of you!
you wouldn't believe what this radio station is doing in columbus OH-IO to Michigan
Well at least everyone knows what a Seminole is! :)
zeekums: First half means "rear" 2nd is "Ponder***""
A buckeye is a horse chestnut. When you peel off the husk it's a very beautiful rich brown with a white circle, vaguely like the eye of a buck, to the poetically minded.
does anybody want to know?
Jen: And still will, since they don't have to change mascots.
hi mrs. smeltz - how are you feeling?
When you get approval from the Seminole Nation, it's hard for the NCAA to justify banning it.
Hi torgone...
I'll bet it's something light-hearted and whimsical, shorty!
hi temple - i'm mostly better - but i'm afraid the mr. is down for the count with whatever it was...
ok Shorty what could Ohio Possibly doing to Michagan. I live in Mi and am rooting for OH
history of hoosier...akin to "Yankee" for New Englanders... http://www.stat elib.lib.in.us/www/ihb/emblems /hoosier.html
Culinary lesson: Five spice is usually made from pepper, cloves, fennel, cinnamon, and anise. Interestingly, there is also a spice called "all spice" which is NOT made up of a combination. It is a spice in its own right. I also have "7 spice" which is the five above plus ginger and something else.....
Vicuna - we have them over here as well, only we call them 'conkers' and it used to be very popular amongst young children to collect them and use them to play the game of the same name...
Of course, shorty :)
Mrs. Smeltzie - it's nice that you share : ) Tell the Mr. we're hope he's feeling better soon too!
there taking a truck load of dirty underwear to michigan
Yeah... we just had buckeye fights!
hello all...the term hoosier started out as a synomym for new englanders but i like this theory better...When a visitor hailed a pioneer cabin in Indiana or knocked upon its door, the settler would respond, "Who's yere?" And from this frequent response Indiana became the "Who's yere" or Hoosier state. No one ever explained why this was more typical of Indiana than of Illinois or Ohio.
EB - except, of course, in boston - "Yankee" has an entirely different meaning...:o)
Baggo - did you go to Yahoo too? I just posted in the address : )
LOL.....that is too funny
efor - why yes...it's for the best baseball team!!
thanks kelstar. got it
where u from Vicuna?
Like they don't have any dirty underwear in AA, shorty?? I don't get it...
hello eastern blue i went to our state library's website...lol
ta 5 besides the dance?
woo hoo! go Yanks! Matsui for 4 more years! I'm from Philly, but since the Phils are the losingest team in sports history (all 4 major sports), I root for the Yankees!
ta5 A subarctic, evergreen coniferous forest of northern Eurasia located just south of the tundra and dominated by firs and spruces.
I'm originally from Cleveland. I live outside of Boston now. (But don't care about baseball!)
baggo - that's the link it took me to, too!
i'd love to help temple, but i'm missing that one too!
Hi Baggo :) Who's yer?? Now THAT'S pure devon dialect. Do they like clotted cream in Indiana?? I mean the real stuff that's about 1000 calories a spoonful :D
there collecting peoples dirty underwear and taking them to michigan in a BIG truck
ta5 - a sort of plains ecology in Siberia, I think, south of tundra
there's really a lot more, but i like the joke the best, and since people always ask me where i'm from because of my accent i thought this was appropriate..
What the devil is clotted cream? *back to google*
efor - what about the Eagles...my hubby likes Donovan (hubby is a HUGE 'cuse fan...)
hey anj how are you today
oh don't you know it anj!!! an amish community got struck pretty bad with those tornados, and we are gonna go help clean up...they are going to cook for all who come...nothing nonfat about that food...
Scouts, mana from heaven :) It's only real if it doesn't fall off the spoon, even after frenzied waving of arm :D
Any clues for ho 4/52? and 6/27..Please
(Ah, I see from baggo's clue that I had the wrong sort of plants growing there!)
when it comes to football & hockey - i'm a philly girl all the way. i don't care about basketball. but when it comes to baseball, i gotta go with the Yankees.

ta5: A subarctic, evergreen coniferous forest of northern Eurasia located just south of the tundra and dominated by firs and spruces.

we seem to have a few newbies today. Kaka, there are 152 words today. Where did you find out about us, btw?
I'm getting completely braindead!!!!!! Just 10 words missing. I guess I will ask for a couple more and then unplug for a while, and finish later!!! So, how about ow 5/22? and in 6/24?

*cheesy grin* Heh...Dir en Grey's new song, Clever Sleazoid...you've got a psychotic chicken, cat, cow and possibly a turkey in there for luck. And a psychotic Kyo. Scary.
eeeuw, that's that image you made me look at yesterday, isn't it, Miy?? yuk yuk, didn't like that ..... nasty bug like thing..... ick
Right! I'm officially introducing the -ing fish. It's very large, very wet, very obvious and i'm geeting 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th dibs at using it }(
Evandine, tell me about it. Just recently I'm testing my own sanity by falling very deeply in luuurve with groups that are split up...Due le Quartz and X Japan...grr. Stupid Kikasa *goes off muttering*
can't see log...words missing Babble is eating my letters!! Arrrrrrrrrrgggghh hhhhhhhhhhhh!!
Yes...yes...YES!!!
I'm already on what Lola's on........... :)
Babbler, no! This was worse! No wait. I'm getting confused now. Which links did I send? *confused*
Lola, herbal essences moment?
Lola! Not when i'm not about...it gets me insecure LMAO!! Finished babe?? ;)
I saw a nasty bug thing for that sleazoid single.... I think? I logged out fast! yukky. I hate bugs. especially magnified!
well, ive followed them so long im sorta friends with the band...their old manager lives near me, so we get lunch sometimes + when they did a "reunion tour" this summer, they called me up + asked me to come along as their merch girl. :D
Hm...I didn't actually send that link. Crazy. I think Dir en Grey have been meddling with my computer again, the minxes. Trying to promote their new single ^_^
LMAO Babbler, I was thinking "I'll have what Lola's having!!"
bugzy - I was quicker!! :)
LOL! Can't you tell babe? ;) Got that damn ta5, I'm done :)
any help for an7/36
Babbler: ow 5/22 is avoiding me! I've monkeytyped like crazy...and I don't have in 5/14...so I'm stuck for in 6/24.
Babbler, like a big cockroach? They have been meddling with my computer...
Congrats Lola!!!
you're right, come to think of it, Miy, there was a link that wouldn't work, so you suggested I google the band, which I did.... and had a nasty shock !
Am I the only person who thinks that 'winit' is a real word? Any other Northerners out there?
sherry, you need a whack with the -ing fish.........
*weeping*
yes miy.. nasty cockroach type thing........... really ugh!
Yay Lola!
Aw sherry, don't cry! What can lola help you with??
Babbler, that'll be it! Sorry about that, it'll have been Kyo at his most creative worst.
Don't forget I'm French!!! Sometimes I have to look things up in the dico..
sherry........... take your ow, and throw it at the -ing fish and see what happens when they clash!!
Sam, you might get that in Roger's Profanosaurus but Viz-speak hasn't made it as far as Enable yet lol :)
last 7 letter word anyone....pleeeeease?
sherry........ ma cherie........... let's see............ you know your word for how you row a boat? drop the r...
Sherry, I'm so, so jealous. Dir en Grey are coming to France...you lucky... *calm down*
lizmac, what does it begin with?
aw 5/18? fa 5/20? (not the one that sounds like a dance)
Last 7 letter word.... epitaph??? :D
Babbler: was dealing with the wrong 'i' and of course I couln't jump to the 'n'!!!!! But I finally got it!!!!
LOL Anj!! :)
I'm so proud of you , Sherry!!! :D
*sputtering out with 57 to go* not so bad for a busy day (tomorrow will be worse!!) wont have time to babble tonight as the BF is coming over and we are going out to the cell phone store, then out to dinner, then home to watch Lost!! :D
Right. Am going to walk the dog and then I'll deal with those two in!
harp: think "a w*** and a prayer" the fa5/20 - derogatory word for gays, or I think it's a dish, also, think public school...
fa5/20... also sounds like an embroidery term.....
not being rude if anyone is asking questions...I can't see the log right now...at least my words are back!
Babbler, I got the fa 5/20 from your clue but not the aw 5. I have the one you gave me, need the other aw 5.
ok all, time to get going! have good days/evenings/afternoons/night s all! and remember, in the midnight hour, she cries More, More, MORE!! :D
'nite EvaN - have fun :) Sorry Lizmac - couldn't resist that :) Last sh7/40 is what is generally regarded as a hiding with the docs on :) or a good dance...
Babbler, to my shame I only got that word by thinking of the derogatory word for gays...*hangs head*
harp, then you aw*** a decent clue from me so you can get it....... !
aaahhh :) *Anj reclines with smug look, sips cognac, lights cafe creme*
Bab I a**** no more. Back to my job.... ty

*suppresses jealousy* Congratulations, Anj ^_^
Yay! Lizmac - there are two sh7s a 32 and a 40
Yay Anj! lizmac, there are 2 sh7's... which do you have?
I've got the sh7/40
Afternoon, evening, whatever, everbody! Anj, do you have on your smoking jacket? With a scarf around your neck puffed up a bit? Nice look. Slippers. Dog resting before roaring fire. In the hearth.
...and a pipe...
Hi evanadiene. you still look more like a goddess figure than a turkey to me.
sh7/32 : another word for satan
sh7/32 - try Googling this: the story of a group of youngsters who exit a disco late one night and accidentally run into a shepherd who has prepared himself for a night of Satanic worship
A pipe and a cigar? Well I suppose. If you're smoking more than one substance.
Evening Mab :) I would be blowing bubbles with the pipe lol
or....... start at the bottom s, go north, and add a word for what you get when you sit in the sun....
Hi Mab :)
Woo! Well done babe, you got mail as a reward. Join me in the jacuzzi when you finish reading it :)
Well, you know, it can't hurt. Until later, when you develop lung cancer. Then I bet it really, really hurts.
Tx babbler; I do not know that word.
hi mab...
Babbler ...got it , good clue. Now tell me, how does one Google a clue?
I did, but I still needed the directions! :)
Love your pilgrims EasternBlue.
sa5. sh5. to5. can someone just mail me her/his lists!!!!!
ok cancel sh5....
lizmac, I copy the clue, go to Google, paste it in the search bar, and hit go..... dunno what everybody else does! :)
Ah. think I just figured out why people appear to be wearing mud packs in Freedom fighters, Anj. It's apparently because they're "all so dull and grey. You're mudddy!" Hm... :S
baggo, if you're still here, got your email, thx luvvie! Trying to figure out how to reply....... :)
Greetings Babbleonians. Could someone please pass me the Sardine of Stupidity. Thank you so much ...
mab - thanks...in honor of the upcoming festivities of course! : )
Liz, copy the deffo from the log and go to: www.google.co.uk and paste it in the search box :)
didn't think of that, Anj. I assumed everyone uses google to search for stuff..... my bad. sorry lizmac. : (
Chessy! There's the new -ing fish of verbalness if you so desire :)
Chessy, shhh! You'll set the haddock's nerves off again. Poor thing's quite insecure.
what a lovely site: 'you have 0 word(s) left to find' WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry, evening all ;)
hi. back after computer nonsense. What up?
"Shoen" should be a word. Scout says that when she means the plural of sh4/5.

Temple, methinks it must be a skate or something equally large & flat with enough tail to swing it with :) Babbler, just click on messages and it will take you to your inbox :)
lola. Pleasure to meet your mum.
Yeah, yeah, folks...okay, a bit dim at times. However tried it one time and it didn't bl***y work!!!

Hi Lotti. Sorry to hear about the cement in your pipes. Morons.
Is it possible to use an ice cream as a microphone?
Hi sis! Has hubby left for the evening then?

Hi Mab! Forgot to say hi...

hey lotti ;o)
Any quick ways to refer to BA, short of printing 8 pages, and avoiding flipping continually between the two?(slow connection, slower brain !!
Hey i`m great after a fab welcome like that!!! :) Has anyone seen my fave fella lately, or has he taken his lovely self back to bed???!!!!
why, yes, m_f, it is possible to use ice cream cone as a microphone. Just plug it in.
thats good to know im glad your back even though have not really buged people lately with clues lol im getting better
Thanks Joel, that clears up a lot :)
Without your computer for days on end! Truly unfortunate, in my opinion. I don't know what I would do if that happened to me, or rather when it will happen to me.
anything to help.
lizmac, I copy what I need from BabAnon into a word doc, and refer to that.
lizmac - I copy the list into excel, and then do a 'split window' when I need the list from BrandyJack...
Sis, he set off at 5.30 this morning to London, is staying over night as he has another job there tomorrow so i`ll probably see him tomorrow night!! I do enjoy the space i have to admit :o)
OK Bobsta, will see what we can do :)
Thanks for the tips
Lottie: my guess is he's at son's bedside, and looking smart for the cute nurses.
Lizmac - I usually put the stats in 3 or 4 columns in a Word document so they all fit on 1-2 pgs, then print them
mab-- sooner or later . . . It's so sad, Sun. a.m., thought I'd look at NY Times . .D'oh! Okay. go to movie. Just look up schedu . . .D'oh! e-mail timeshee . . D'oh! etc., etc.

Enjoy it lotti. I hope you are babbling with a glass of wine and some chocolate :)
Okay I back, had trouble logging back in...thought you weren't going to let me play anymore *pout*
Lotti: glass of wine, some chocolate, the stench of clogged drainpipes, the banging of the concrete guy...

Bon soir, Sherry.
Mab i`ve no doubt he has and cheers about the drain, he`d better show up tomorrow or there`ll be war (I do know where he lives)!!!! Joel (((xxx))) thats to add to the group hug!!!
Sangungas, there's a 2nd letter/size/score list under the General thread on Babblers Anonymous - try the bottom link in the Friends of Babble box on the right. If you really get stuck, use the word codes to yell for clues :)
73 words and i'm totally stumped
thank you!!!!
chessy, take your an4/6 right above that and add a suffix to make it rhyme with Spanish word for "Mary."
*uncomfortable* Hm...it's strangely unnerving to see someone like Kyo cry...
Oh yes, I feel ya, Joel.
I`ve been on so much meds lately alcohol hasn`t entered my head......good idea!!! As for the banging of the concrete guy.....thats what i`ll do to his head if he doesn`t turn up tomorrow!!!!!!
LizMac ~ I right click on the babbler's anon link and click open in a new window. Then I just minimize and maximize BJ's lists as I need them.
Thanks ScoutsMom, that's nailed it ... - weird word I've never heard before. :)
Miy, find a happy place :) Mind you, visual kei is a bit of a handful in the first place...

Well done Marolan!

some people have been having trouble with the site today, T-Owl. Is your list playing up?
ai: what you use to catch fish, plural and minus the first letter.
kinda scots slang for eats ...past tense

Yay! Sherry, marolan :) nava - sounds like it comes after sevens :)
nava, think how you would spell the number 8 phonetically, then make it plural.... :)
As a native English speaker, Sherry, I of course love French. I have straight hair, love curly, blue eyes, love green, etc. Isn't it funny!
Anj - great minds...... :)
bugzy-- I have a friend who is a librarian at Ford. Where are you corp. lib.?
Hey Bugzy! I work in a library from time to time. Got another 2 months contract starting in 10 days. I wish I could get a permanent position.

Kristina, as5/10 means "to get up out of bed"
smaller - for the en 5 ...it's all in the upper left corner... (no definition or other pithy clues...sorry!)

thanks eb and kristina! Kristina - af6 is af + the last 3 letters of the (4 letter) spanish ladies name, similar to flower, but take off the r (which is the first letter of the name)
hi guys anyone got the af6???
as 5/10 - when someone wakes up or is moving about, they are as_ _ _
Kristina- AND after all that - put a "t" in the middle.
af6, the medical term for foot and mouth disease
smaller... that makes NO sense to me.... :(
af 6 - "foot & mouth disease" clue from earlier today - starts with the back end of the boat + 'hoop' (single letter) + abbreviation for country of Capetown
Kristina, ---AND once you get the af6 from someone else's clue, find me and beat the daylights out of me for the really crappy clue
hey smaller, that was an odd clue, but it helped me, so thanks.
Tuva - SO understandable Boreetos!!! You are soooo sweet!
Smaller....ROFL.....)))))
UGH... I monkey typed it. WHERE IS THAT FISH SO I CAN WHACK SMALLER!
smaller - you crack me up!! : )
i cannot get the sh7 for the life of me. can anyone elaborate a little more than "verbalize what's on your foot" without giving it totally away? it is completely escaping me.
Thank guys.... Smaller, great clue but it is to late to do that much thinking... But Thank you!!
can't find the wi5... any help?
Stephanaki, if you are putting those U shaped things on a horse then you are *____* the horse
steph, try adding a common verb related three letter suffix to the end of the sh4 that one wears over their socks.
naimh, much better clue than mine. :)
Steph... You wear these on your feet (singular) + verb ending...then you would be sh _ _ _ _ _ it Similar to what a horse does for your ho 7....
oh man! there it is. Thank you everyone.
Stephanaki if it was snowing out you could go snow sh******
Steph: the blacksmith is sh6 the horse's hooves.
thanks everyone! so....who needs another clue?!!!! huh, anyone anyone?! hahahahaha
alright smaller, got a clue for the eight letter word?
well all - any last clues that people need (obviously - others are better than mine...) but I'm willing to offer any if I can!
Well I gotta go boys and girls, I'll see you all later...
smaller, you could sell your clues as alternatives...someone'll buy....i want 10% profit
Tuva - wi 5 what you wear on your head for hair + a participle...
ok af6 - foot and mouth disease doesn't google as the word - i know we've had it on here before but i can't remember it and the boat thing has me lost!
boreetos, fi 7&8 what a fish uses to move with + what you use to move with then plural
boreetos, of course, but i think my hands would cramp from typing for an hour! kidding flappy thing on a fish + the thing at the end of your leg
thanks guys. what an odd word.
wi5 - town in Lancashire with a famous pier. My grandad came from there!
dr seuss word
tbear, who the hecque would buy? oh, but I could make my own game like babble, where the point is to try to figure what word it is for lame-a** clues, you're down to 5% now though
i suck at this...i only have 37 words!
Newkie12, don't feel bad, this grid has a lot of crazy words!!
kristin - the boat is "fore" and "af_" take the af_ + shape of a cheerio + abbrev. for Capetown country
smaller ...of course what i really meant was VERY INTELLIGENT people might not want EASY clues so yours would be perfect...15% :)
alright kids, gotta get back to work. thanks for the help and whatnot... Mostly the whatnot.
any clues for the in?? I have one 4/4...
fa5/20 and 6/33. Clues anyone?
which in 4 do you have ? I have only 1 as well perhaps we have a differnet one and can trade???
hydra, cigarettes or homosexuals
in - think gold bricks
hydra - a insult for homosexuals + pl...also 'cigarettes"
like an 4/4 but changed the 1st letter..
tbear, for that line of bs - you can have 20%!
tbear - flattery gets you everywhere : )
oops, BYE BOREETOS!!
Bye Boreetos!
drat we have the same in
got the ciggies one. The list I copied down says there are two more.
in5/14 these come in gold in4/7 what the police need when there's been an incident and plural for the in5/16
I'm a bear so it's bs bear____.....and thanks ...grabs 20% and runs for the hills
kristina -- i now havethe in 4 ---A South American freshwater dolphin
Well done, EB and smaller! May I have clue for ho7 and ho6 please. (if they've already been given just tell me and I'll go fish)
Hi there again everyone! Back to get the last 50.
oooo, very pretty stillcrazy! and ...... stillcrazy about your name, stillcrazy!
ho 6 is what gardeners do to keep the weeds down, ho 7 is what dancers do.
lol tyvm
Mab, skanky women go ho6
mab, add a 3 letter verb ending to ho4 before the 7
Oh brother. I should just open my eyes! Thanks Haz, smaller, EB.
ta 5 and ta 6???
Ta 5 and 6 - Let's dance!
aknitter - in 4/7 and 5/16 a message received and understood - in 4/7 and for 5/16 plural
tuva, add a cheerio to your 4/6
*smacks self with fish
oops, I forgot one: anyone got a clue for the to6/24?
anyone know how many in's there are?
anyone got clue for second set of fa5/20 and 6/33? the ones that aren't a homosexual insult? Lack of a2z wordfinder is driving me mad!
to 6/24 - foot part with verb ending
smaller - like ho 6/27 but change the 1st letter... Do you have anymore clues for in 5/14 and 6/24 please
fa 5 add a letter to prev fa4 then pl for fa 6
For the second set of fa's add a vowel to the preceding fa 4/9 then pluralise
thanks Haz and Kristina! i swear i tried that one.
in 5/14 -- a measurement for gold
The in words are normally used to describe large quantities of gold.
incidentally, the first fa5 and 6 were words long before they came to have their current meaning, as you will see if you click on the ?
and, oh yeah, hi!
raolen - you here?
Hello Hurshy - things at school any better today?
Hi hurshy! Good to see you and your pointy earred friend.
yes, haz, i am feeling a lot better about things now. thanks so much for asking.
so, what are the non-ciggies fa5 and 6?
hurshy-- my, what big ears you new pro icon has!
markbowers - clues at 5:14
fa 5/20 and fa 6/33
the better to hear you with, joelgee
hi hurshy
what?
Thank you got the in's!!
and, i've missed seeing you lately, joel!
Many thanks, Haz. And Hurshy, I always wondered what the question marks by the words were, but never thought of clicking on them. It's a revelation and I'm so gglad you told me.
hi kristin!
hursh-- it's spocktacular!
how many words are there today total?
fascinating.
152 word total today.
yw hydra!
fa 5/20 and fa 6/33
i could swear i saw an eyebrow twitch.
so - no raolen out there, mm? surprising. he hasn't had a chance to babble since the wee hours, and i should think he'd be chomping at the bit...
twitchety twitch
Maybe he's exhausted!
believe you me, he is never too tired to babble. he's very addicted.
How long has he been babbling?
As Dr God said to Spok when thinking of tomorrow's fishy clue, 'Bream me up, Scotty!"
only since this weekend
hmm never heard of a bream, that's a new one!
forty left to go....
He's probably going through the same addictive phase as the rest of us. You eventually have to have some self-control....
whatcha need, tuva? i did the whole thing this morning...
Is something wrong with the A2Zwordfinder site?
indeed you do, haz!!! :) but teenagers...may be slower to learn that
just 40 of em.... cough em up!
It's both a freshwater and a sea fish. Never eaten it, though.
not tuva, but there's an aw6 that is illogical
lol tuva - i just had an actual fit of coughing (getting over a cold) right when i read your post
the first sh 5/12 anyone?
joelgee - i don't think it's illogical. i aw5, you aw5, he/she/it aw6
first sh5: rhymes with what you camp in
sh - female personal pronoun followed by shortened version of New Testament
got it, thanks!
I'll take that fish now, please.
I have the two LOGICAL AWs.... clue on the other?
*hands joel the Whale Tail*
a bird might be aw5
ahem. since when is a whale a fish? Quite a tale.
look at anj's bio - it isn't my fault!
a plus bird part
that is not illogical... that is just a word.... got it, thanks!
i need one of the an 4/4's not the against one but the other
what is a plus bird?
a knitter - just change the vowel ending for the other an 4/4. The 'a' plus bird part - a clue for aw 5 - obviously a pretty poor one!
tuva - it was the aw6 joel thought was illogical - i guess he thought aw5 was a noun? or something.
found the an TY but still do not understand the bird clue
aknitter, they meant "the letter a" plus "part of a bird"
oh good lord now i get it! I am an id 5
why am i calling haz "they"?
I'll try again. The word begins with a. Add a four letter word (wi 4/10) - the bird reference.
i was thinking (or not) of a plus sized bird!!! i think i must need to diet
multiple personalities?
aknitter - an4 - change last vowel of the one you have
It's okay, hurshy - there's only one of me!
oh, haz said that already.
apparently joel doesn't think so.
Why isn't tanga a word? You can buy them in Marks & Spencer's!
joel isn't here right now. To whom do you wish to speak?
i wish to speak to gee.
A favourite line from Frasier is when Niles excuses himself saying that he is late for an appointment with someone suffering from multiple personality disorder 'and it takes forever to fill out the name cards'
nevermind I finally figured it out....it's all changed now
Ah, gee is meditating on the clarity of clarified butter. (indian food joke)
fi 7/52 and fi 8/70... any clues?
ok, then what are my options?
fi 7 and 8 is its plural -- it is a weird sort of bird OR the back of a fish + what is at the end of your leg
does anyone know how many words are in this puzzle?
152
the menu has changed. speak or press one to be one with everything. speak or press two to be two with each other. speak or press three to never have to deal with idiot menus like this ever again.
152 words today
For the f 7 and 8 - prefix fo4/7 with three letters of fi4/7 and then pluralise for the 8. It's a strange word!
3!
ga 5/20 any one?? perhaps if i press 1..
fi 6, a compound word. a fish's fi* propels it forward, and a person uses her fo** to go forward. Put those two words together and then pluralize.
ga5 - take the prev ga4 and add the most unlikely letter you see to the end of it
wow - never heard of that word b4. thanks for the fi clues.
Anyone else besides me having trouble with the a2z web site?
Other people have mentioned that there are problems, so it's not just you.
TY hursy, that is a strange word isn't it
can i have a clue for an 7/36
the ga5 isn't all that strange if you know a smattering of yiddish. The spelling is a tad odd.
An - first three letters of heavenly being plus song used in opera.
an 7/36 google this -- The legal right of a belligerent to seize, use, or destroy the property of a neutral, provided that full compensation is made
sounds like actor who played dog walker on mad about you, minus the az
yiddish! I am having enough trouble with english
Sorry about my lack of response...got a phone call & now I have to leave... Good luck everyone! : )
But English has adopted words from lots of languages!
bye eastern!
if you didn't see him on mad about you, he also does voices for the simpsons, was in "america's sweethearts", and played phoebe's "scientist guy" on friends
Any clues for ta6/24 please?
don't forget "The Birdcage"
ta 6/24 is pl of ta5
oh yeah
a 'sexy dance'...think of the movie True Lies (dancing with a rose in your teeth) : ) And - BYE!
also married to helen hunt and played animal in godzilla.
I'm such an idiot! Just watched the third episode of BBC2's Rome. and it's softened my brain.
thanks, viviyan and joel (or whoever you are at the moment). was fearing nobody liked my clue.
found it at long last finished now thank god, a few weird words tonight
yay scatty!
joel is back now. he was looking for an ho5/16. Couldn't find it.
I'm a sleepy Union Jack amongst all you Stars 'n' Stripes. Think I'll call it quits now at 142 words. So near yet so far. (Yawn.)
ho 5/16 had heroes
Greeting, fellow Babblonians!
hey jera!!
ho 5/16 hulk ______
jera, hi.
awesome - i got it right away. nice clue. heh.
Good night hydra - I finished earlier today but dropped in to see how the grid was going. I'm heading to bed soon as well.
aknitter-- thanks.
any na clues about?
I'm missing an a... can someone help me out? af 5/ 16 af 6/ 27 ag 5/ 14 ag 4/ 6 ag 4/ 6 ag 4/ 6 ai 4/ 4 an 4/ 6 an 5/ 14 an 4/ 4 an 4/ 4 ar 4/ 4 as 5/ 10 aw 5/ 18 aw 6/ 30 aw 5/ 22
as 5/10 is missing
an 7/36
so is an 7/36
an 7/36
Does anyone have the first sh7? or the ne? I desperately need clues!
jera - you need an7, for which there are lovely clues posted below
you are missing an 7/36
jera is NOT missing as 5/10 (there's only one)
sh7 - do you happen to have read agatha christie's cards on the table?
I should have 2 as5/10's? As well as the an7/36? Thanks!
ne 4 add a conditional word
no no, jera, do not go on a wild as chase!
jera there is only one as
Thanks, hurshy... that path leads to madness (looking for words that aren't there)...
still no sign of raolen - how very odd.
I haven't read any Agatha Christie (I know, it's hard to believe that I've gotten to this advanced age and not ready any, but it is sadly true). I also need an or6. Then I will be finished!!!
or6 - take a musical instrument with pipes and insert a vowel as third letter
smithchick - or 6 - an alternative spelling (phonetically) of a northwestern state
Thanks hurshy and vivyan, got the o6. Also the ne. Down to the sh7...
or 6/24 point from which something develops
sh7 feminine singular pronoun plus neuter singular pronoun plus article before vowels
Thanks again, hurshy! That's a new one on me. I'm finally done and now must go to church and help teenage girls do crafts (not something that I'm particularly good at). Thanks again.
have fun, smithchick!
Hurshy what a cool clue that is!!! I already have it but full marks for that......go straight to the top of the class!!!!
thanks lotti! :) what about my actor clue for an7? i liked it the best.
Didn`t see that, what time did you post it?
af 5/16 any clues?
af 5 - "watson - the game's af5!"
mmm - it's near top of prev screen by now
Kaka it has toes on the end and an ankle above!
hurshy you are wonderful!
me, mab? why thank you.
of course! :)
Okay, I'm missing an s (last word, yay!)... help me out, please?? I have... sa 4/ 6 sa 4/ 6 sa 5/ 14 sa 5/ 14 sa 4/ 4 sa 4/ 4 sh 7/ 32 sh 5/ 12 sh 4/ 5 sh 7/ 40 sh 4/ 7 sh 4/ 5 sh 5/ 12 sh 5/ 12 sh 6/ 21 sh 4/ 5 sh 5/ 12 so 4/ 7 so 4/ 7 so 5/ 16 so 6/ 27 so 5/ 16 so 4/ 4 so 5/ 10 so 4/ 4 st 4/ 6 st 5/ 14
Probably wouldn`t have got it, cos i know nothing of that programme, but it must have been good if it worked!!!
I had that word, but I just love your references. I never did get the aw 5 and 6. I have the birdy one. May I have a clue?
Never mind, I found it (a pesky sh I forgot to enter!) Yay for Jera! *does happy faerie dance of doneness*
well, lotti, the thread continued and we all mentioned other things he's been in, so eventually it made more sense
Help on af 6/27.. Can't under the other clues...
aw 5 and 6 "enterprise to earth outpost 72. we aw5 your response."
Kristinarose, its the proper name of foot and mouth disease; try googling that.
The heating has knocked off now, so it`s getting cold here. Where`s Torgone when i need a snuggle?!!!! I hope his son is doing better!
Wow... what service... my daughter just served up the lasagna she made all by her self!!
It`s cos she has a fab mom to teach her how!!!! :)
time for new icon. refresh to view.
Sorry for hogging the board with my dumb lists... maybe they will help someone who doesn't do BA
where CAN raolen be?
decided to promote yourself, did you?
hi everyone!
Oh, hurshy! I miss the silliest things. Thanks.
mab i googled that and it doesn't give the actual term for foot and mouth
You flatter me, lotti... the reason I'm so proud is cuz I'm such a bad cook... too impatient...
well, that all depends on your temporal point of view, now doesn't it? spock made captain long before picard.
Greetings, Temple Owl!
so5: gritty dirts so: like opposite of harder what am i missing please?!!!
well I agree with lotti you must have done something right jera
hi temple!
Yay Hurshy he was born about 10 miles away from where i live.
af6 - off the rear of a boat + beginning of american nat'l anthem
Maybe my kids will rebel by being neat & disciplined...
ooh lotti so lucky!!!!!!
temple - the way they would pronounce opposite of harder in boston
Hurshy, I love your icon... I always had the hots for Mr. Spock... my husband has many of his qualities...
ty hurshy - that's the opposite of harder one....
Jera- hopefully the ears isn't one of them
boom. done.
oh, then temple you want the opposite of hards.

I dunno. give it a shot. let's see what happens.
ok hurshy sorry but know nothing about no boats....
btw, did you get it, kristin?
yey Joel! Leornard Nimoy is wonderful, Lotti. He does lots for the Jewish community too. He was a Brit? Or maybe you are talking about hurshy's current icon. I'm confused. Best to just ignore me.
I don't know boats.. At all
doh! well, instead of rear of boat, try beginning of opp. of before
Hey, how funny... when I googled the an7 clue... one of the hits was an old Babble game chat log, LOL!
i don't even understand why i deserve the wooden spoon at this moment, let alone the nimoy thread.
to5 please?
No Hurshy, but i know a girl who went out to dinner with him and some college pals (the elite eh!!) That had something to do with the uni too!
to5 you need the pollock (of plurality and past tense)
Kristin: opposite of fore, three letters, starts with a. Does that help? Short way of saying opp of before.
:O :O :O :O :O
Joel you know you love it !!!
the plural of greek clothing or fooling nonsense?
i hate it when i'm that transparent.
YYYIIIPPPPPPEEEEEEE - thanks all! I should know that word, it has been on here before!
hooray for kristin!
Hiya....Mmmm Jean Luc....some of these older men are....OH yeah Babble...
kristinarose did you get it?
an7/36 ?

No not yet... It is my last word too...
hurshy you're just trying to put me off EVER finishing
kristinarose check the alt clues at 6:29 or 6:30
I just got it.... THank you everyone..
Your current icon was, hurshy? He is very, very attractive. Very.
an-- The legal right of a belligerent to seize, use, or destroy the property of a neutral, provided that full compensation is made. Sounds like an Eastern European country
Oh girls!! What are we like.....???
Sounds like refined piracy to me...
I just realized! I'm the only blue icon in these here parts.
Joel...yr icon epitomises the male species...finally a man that'll admit it....LOL
Tbear....we`re like girls!!!! I have to say he doesn`t do it for me, but i love his deep voice!
butterflies out of a bowler epitomises the male species? Now, that explains everything.
so as not to distract tbear - refresh! (only temporary, then jean-luc will return)
So, it IS Leonard Nimoy who is like your husband Lotti?
Who the devil......?
Mab that wasn`t me it was Jera ROFPML!!!!!! ;o)
tiny tim? Where did you dig up tiny tim? tiptoe through the tulips . . .
tiny tim - "tiptoe through the tulips"
Hurshy, that really is NOT attractive!!!!
I AM confused. Oh hurshy! yech. I think he recently passed away.
sacrifices must be made for tbear.
A real libido crasher.
I have one entitled Syd Small...but...well you'll see...luckily it is (the pic that is) very small...back in 2tics
He looks dead there if you ask me !!!! Eeewwwww :/
years ago, i thought
Forget it Hurshy,I'm totally distracted now...
He was probably stuffed upon dying. oooh creepy.
m'ladies-- i leave the land of babble to the pink icons. Adieu
aww, joel, don't go! we'll behave!
Oh, oh, oh, bye Joel! (it's nothing we said was it?)
if you're going to behave, that's no fun. Time to eat. Tired.
ok, bye joel
Hurshy get yr magnifying glass out and make sure you're sitting down....don't worry Joel we'll stop now and give you our undivided attention....promise
Well, i`m off to bed now folks. I was hanging around for a snuggle with Torgone!!! As he`s otherwise engaged, if you see him give him this (((((((xXx))))))) I`ll no doubt see you wonderful people tomorrow. Goodnight :)
I have typed and typed and I can't figure out the last in4/4 word
I do have to admit I missed your virtual company while my computer was down. It's nice to see(?) you all again.
Okay. Bye Joel. I love the butterflies coming out of your hat or your head or whatever.
like being in** something, but with different last vowel.
I'm glad you are back. Welcome home Joel! (away from home)
later.
thanks
Put a blue icon up for Joel but he gone....it's a sad bear

surely, y'd u say prev in ur first clue, threw me off a bit
woot! thanks!
prev means the one before the one you're looking for, which is in fact the third to last ga4
should i just be tacking this on the ned or putting it in the word
tacking on the end
third to last ga, 2nd ga4
dude, you must not have all the ga4's.
there are 5 ga 4's, and you want to be tacking on to the middle one of them
