stupid laundry today...didn't finish - only 20 shy...
Hello again :D
Started to congratulate you GW but got caught in the transmog. Anyway - nice going! Have a Twizzler.
Thx Griff! EB - Still a great job!!
this was is either going to be very short or very scary...Y & Z...yikes!
Thanks Woulfie...
Okay, gw, I have to ask what your icon is. Because what it looks like to me is probably not what it is. My prediction on the grid: 190 wds
i love twizzlers
It's a wolf peering around some reeds by some water... It reflects my search for words ;)
GW - like last weekend - we need to buy a vowel
Ren - you can have twizzlers with your seltzer and lime. Makes a nice straw. GW - I'm sure it's a lovely icon, I'm just blind as a bat. So far no one has apparently realized what mine is...
good morning all! happy new babbleday!
I found the fish on my VERY FIRST woid!
Griff - isn't it a dog paw on a mouse??
z6/36
Hey Temple Owl! Griff, it's a 1st person view of your mouse :D
Hiya T-Owl...
yes, but more than that, it's......
it's THE PAWS THAT REFRESHES
What's the total today?
oh yes - like the straw idea - lol
AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGHHH!!!!! (*hol ds nose and runs from room screaming*)
zubie - waiting for the stats...
****PTANG!***
zubie - 101
i9/66
pr 7/32
Hi c-nan, how are you today?
Just fine GW --- and you?
i9/60
Ok, Thanks, Blue.
very tired -- I was up til 4 this AM before packing in to catch a little sleep before the baby woke up at 9:30 Even I am beginning to wonder how I manage to do it! :D
Sorry gw. Definite advantage that I have being a grandma instead of a ma - you gives 'em back and you gets your sleep.
Very true, Griff -- But I wouldn't trade it for the world right now :)
Now or ever. (Let's be optimistic)
Hi All ... I'm a 4 day old newbie here, but is it just me or does this puzzle suck? A few more vowels would be nice in my newbie opinon.
truest statement ever, Griff :)
I won't hold you to it in about 13.528 years (rough guess) but after the whitewater rapids they turn into people you can stand again. And then they turn into people you can talk to. That rocks.
Griff - I am looking forward to all of it -- I know I will hate the whitewater while living through it, but I put my parents through heck, so it's only fair that I get my share ;D
Can't believe it -- 16 minutes in and I have the 9 a 7 and the z6 -- so unusual for me!
101 words, that's more manageable. hey zubie!! sorry I missed you yesterday - I finally slept! :D
If you raise them to love words and be funny, it makes it all easier. One of mine in the middle of a tirade screamed tearfully I'M IN A PHASE!!! (I'm tempted to do that myself, often.)
Babbler -- where are you getting your stats?
gw the more you do with your kids and the more you are with them they better the teen years will be... there is a great book out called "Hold on to you Kids" it is a great read with lots of good info.... not that parenting can be taught .... but some occaisional input is good.....
Welcome back, Babbler! I finished with mins to spare :)
top of my page, where the blue thingy is, cybernan? why??
bravo GW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
cybernan you may need to refresh
Don't see anything on my page!
4 letters - 44 5 letters - 30 6 letters - 19 7 letters - 5 8 letters -1 9 letters - 2
Hi Blaze -- you were right -- I keep forgetting that!
Half way there ! -- now to find the 8's
cybernan it's in the forgetting that I remember....LOL
Blaze - thanks for the info... I'll look into it And you are right about parenting not being taught - the best you can do is develop a few good guidelines that you have to adjust to fit the individual personality of the child :)
and most of all love their mother and show love and peace in all you relationships....:D
Blaze - that I do my best to do :) I am not always the most demonstrative in my affections, but I do try
You are doing very well then.... Now I must lodge a complaint.... I am trying to eat natchos and dip and someone has tromped on the bag and there is nothing but bitty bits... hmmmm
Hi Everyone!
Blaze I did not bring back nachos, but I do have some killer cheddar-beer potato chips...
That's when I get the sppon and mix the bits into the dip ;)
ohhhh veerry good idea.....
Hi hugs! You have been gone, like FOREVER?!?!?!?
hi hugs!! haven't seen you for a while ??
and twizzlers
hi hugs...
What I never heard of Cheddar beer chips before. HELLO HUGS......
Hi Hugs!
Yeah, since I started working again, it's really bit into my online time
hugs!! (((Hugs)))
big congrats on the job...though we miss you...
I think they're a new flavor that Kettle Chips just came out with - they had some contest or something. I understand that a smoked salmon cream cheese flavor was suggested - loooooooverly. But they ended up with cheddar beer and a Thai chile potato chip that I haven't tried yet.
Hiya Tor and Blaze! {{{{hugs}}}} thanks Blaze
Hi Hugabugs
Like the new icon Griff
Back in a bit, folks -- gotta take care of kitties and wifey
brandyjack's stats are up!
Tank you nan. It made GW scream and run from room tho. (Not the icon, the bad joke that went with it)
All hail the Brandyjack!
Hail BJack....has anyone looked at GiftBox yet?
Torgone - your white chocolate drops are on the counter along with the beer (hope you like Alaskan Amber) and a Twizzler to use for a straw.
drumroll, please... introducing, Pro Leslie!
Griffums - marry me . .
Oooooooooo! Love the icon Leslie!
cute icon, Leslie -- welcome to the pros!
Oh heck torgone, you can have me for so much less trouble than that. My twizzlers are your twizzlers.
way to go leslieann way to go
hey Leslie !!! : D
thank you, thank you *bows*
welcome to the pros leslieann
I've gotten in trouble for saying that . .What I meant to say was: Come with me and lodge with my fleas in the hills. I mean, flee to my lodge in the hills . . .
Easier to just hit 'em over the head and drag 'em back to the cave.
"monkey business" - gouche to thelma todd on the porch at the party
i mean groucho - i really do need a new light
It's okay ren. *hands ren another seltzer and lime with Twizzler* *also a tequila shot* (house motto: be prepared)
another to kill ya shot? through the twizzler
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! What an idea! *off to try that for real* Tequila on a stick!
renfield - Marry me. jk - A Marx Bros. fan I see.
Oh ren - that totally works. Mmmmmmmm. Big girl candy.
oh lydia oh lydia
i wonder what the choclate twizzlers would be like w/ 151 rum?
another marriage proposal !! lol!! ok boys and babes, I'm off to beddy-byes with a copy of today's grid. See y'all later! Be good! ps: George Clooney, Keanu, Paul, Johnny Depp and all my other swooneroonies - please do NOT change your icons!! (I hope you all read the chat log!) xxx
I have to think about that later otherwise I will get sick!
renfield - I like the way you think.
Bye babs!
Yesterday my tat was in the grid, today my car is in the grid
Sweet dreams, Bab-ylon!
sleep well babs
Night Babs...see ya later!
You drive a co4/5, griffums?
carlos, are you there? chief big...
..Or a te6/21?
The te 6/21
(but thanks for the co 4/5 'cuz I didn't have it yet)
Used to have a co4/5 wagon. Put 3 engines in it before I got tired and scrapped it.
well kids - I'm headin' off to bed...morning breakfast meeting with my theatre friends...and I have about 1/2 the puzzle completed... Sweet dreams (or have a nice day) depending upon the side of the world you're on!!
I always thought they were.... I dunno.... sort of a cheery, optimistic car
Bye-bye EB
So long, EB.
sleep well eb - i'm off to dreamland as well - maybe tomorrow night show tunes?
Bye-bye ren...
I'll end with one song - an oldie but goodie from The Music Man... Goodnight my someone, goodnight my love. Sleep tight my someone, sleep tight my love...I wish I may and I wish I might, now goodnight my someone goodnight.... *fade to black*
yes, the chief is here!!!!
G'nite EB!
27 words
And I'm back for hopefully another half hour of babbling, tho it will probably be longer than that :D leslieann, Congrats on going pro!
BTW, Griff -- the greatest salute one can give a pun is to run from the room whilst holding ones nose, hence my earlier reaction :)
Morning, dear all!
do you have the ze word?
Hi sprite!!
I know. :))) I'm glad SOMEONE reacted! I thought it was brilliant. But then I often think I am brilliant when I am infused with tequila.
Morning Sprite, morning all :)
Good morning sprite! This will take you 18 minutes.
I was taken away and now I am back....
As long as you were not taken aback....
no, let me know if you need a hint on any hi/ words
Ah, a small one! Dr_God's message pushes down all your messages below the boundary of my computerscreen... I have to scroll down to see all the time.
No... just some jabbering in the family
Hi Sprite
Hugs! Darling, are you alright? Really missed you!
:o) I'm just fine Sprite. Just back to the old grindstone and it's taken a big hunk out of my online time and when I am here.
Good to hear you are alright! And nice to see you :)
since no one seems to have mentioned it -- t8/45
Strange grid... the biggies jump out of it, right in my face, and the small ones hide from view.
hmmmmmmmm gw....i shall seek it
ooooooooOOOOOOOOooooooooo it's what we were talking about oilier!
sprite - may I be your face for a while? The biggies are hiding from MY face! ;D
We could switch faces for a while, zubie, so I can find the smaller ones. I am so stuck with them, I am already trying the most idiot combinations :(
*Hands face over to you* Would you believe that I've found only 61 words? :/
zubie more than me... I sitll have 61 to go... I need to close the door and pay attention....
Then you are almost 40 ahead of me. Oh, I want that invitation thing gone.
And my ankle's aching and so's my back! Sprained the ankle on Friday. :( Hi Blaze!
sprite on your right side is a page bar.. just adjust it that is what I did....
Yeah - I would have preferred it over in the right column -- It doesn't belong in the main play area
zubie you poor thing.... go directly to a chiropractor.... and rest with ice... (in the glass)
what do you mean blaze?
Page bar? I am having a very blonde day today. :( What page bar do you mean?
I wish I could, Blaze. As it was, I took the day off yesterday. Had to get back to work today though. :/ [That pink column is bugging me]
Glad to know I 'm not the only one in the dark re:page bar. folks :)
Your window or page is outlined there are arrow heads at top and bottom to scroll the page....sideways or up and down.....Oh I wish I could show you....LOL
If you use your mouse to scroll you will see it go up and down... on the right side
Yes....... the complaint is that you have to keep scrolling it in order to see the chat...... (or do I still not understand)
I do have the scroll bar, but if I put that so that I don't see the add, I see the chatlog but NOT the grid. And whenever I enter a word, I am back to where I started. Ah well, I'll scroll up and down. Just want to say I agree with Woulf, the add should be somewhere else on the page.
But how does that move the message box from where it is in relation to the grid and chat log?
if you use the bar on the side it will stay where you want it .....
good morning all from bright and frosty London :)
Hi there sherb! Nice weather :)
Blaze....I think maybe you have a GREAT BIG MONITOR and I.....don't.. :D
OOppss darn chat log... it does not move the box BUT adjusts your screen to see the chat log.....
Lol Griffums! :D
Hi sherb - from the cold, frosty, and still dark US
....not unless your screen is big enough to accommodate it. Mine is only tall enough to see the grid and the pink. Nothing else. Time to buy a big monitor!
griff only a 17" sdcreen but I shrink my babble to about five inches to illiminate the clutter on the right.... Oops advertising
"Only" a 17 incher.... I have that at work. I'm on a 15 at home. I feel so inadequate. Time for another tequila twizzler.
oh griffs I am so sorry .....could I have a twizzler to help you console your self
Have to admit, that's why I always babble with at least two open windows -- one to hunt, the other to track the chat log
I can shrink as much as I like, but that won't do anything for the relation between chatlog and grid. I am through adjusting. I want the thing gone, LOL.
12 to go, but they will have to wait until tomorrow morning -- G'nite everyone.
Oh I did not know you could do that.... off she goes to open yet another window....
same here GreyWoulf ...
Sure, here you go. Actually I just turned off all my toolbars and I've made almost enough space to see the chat. But I can't see how I am or where I'm going or where I've been or how to get out of this browser...
bigger monitor doesn't help - I just sent message to Dr_God
G'Nite c-nan!
Now that's a nice idea, Woulf. Two open babble windows? And in one you can hide the log... hm....
*griffums turns on toolbars, opens new window* and *griffums also boots up laptop*
actually, whatever you do in one window manifests in both when they refresh
I don't think the the second window will let me in...
I didn't even realize you could be logged in twice.
I did it... wow... double babble trouble....
Oh my, sherb, that is brilliant! I love you for not complaining but doing something towards solving the problem! *makes mental note that this is a much more effective way of living*
Hmmm - that helps! Nice ingenuity GW.
Griff - this has probably been said already, but your new icon is very.....different...! :)
I think I'm going to go back to the old one soon tho
(*bows graciously*)
BTW, c7/32
griff I just got your Icon....LOL.... Any clues for the z word please....
oh cool - hiding the chat in the one window and then having only the chat in the other one. Twizzlers for everyone!
thanks sprite - I reckon feedback is always good to have, even if it's 'bad', lol
there's a reason it's at the *end*, blaze
Okay, enough complaining from me. I just LOVE the Ze word! And I like the double babble trouble. Thanks, Woulf :)
oh wait, i'm an idiot i thought it meant something else. it means the uppermost point (or a brand of electronics)
leslieannn thank you......
LeslieAnn - congrats on going Pro :) what's a 'Type A' personality, btw?
oh it just means generally hyper and/or high-strung (as opposed to type b, laid-back)
ah, well I'm definitely a Type B then, practically horizontal :) yay! 20 minutes of fiddling around, and I finally entered a word - only 100 to go...
Does it lead to A-results all the time? ;) Well, I found a hiding place of smallies and am finally on a roll. Let's see if I can get halfway now.
oh funny, sherb, babble cured my sudoku habit as well.
I better have it off my chest: I want to make tricot!
oooh. quake, enough to make me leave desk, back in a mo
I have Griff's message about 10 times... Is it just me?
refresh, sprite
I only have it once... try a refresh
I only have it once, but it's worrying enough...quake?
Hm, let me correct that: I have it 10 times in my right window, and only once in the left. It is definitely just me.
Oh I hope it is not an earthquake griff is talking about.....
Quake? Ai... not just a mental one then.
10 messages, sprite? Wow! :o
I'm back - all's well. Just the Mother Wolf standing up and shaking us fleas around a little before she settles back to sleep.
sounds scary Griffums ...
Is that local lore, Griff?
griff you had us all on bated breath.... we are all glad all is well.....
Griff - you're so cool :)
No, gw, I just made it up. I am drinking tequila. For me the scary part is wondering whether it's going to quit, or.... not. This one was gentle but just not really stopping, which always makes me think something's about to let loose.
griff under the table with you.......
It's a great image -- I think its time to create a new myth ;)
Glad you're okay, Griffs. My computer quaked in sympathy with yours, I think :) Is it settling now?
griff, being in IL I never felt an earthquake before earlier this year... only a 4.5... but it woke me up and i thought it was so odd that i couldn't step off of something onto stable land
Oh yeah it's all settled (I wouldn't be back talking to you if it wasn't). Feel free to spread my myth far and wide but it is pretty wanky compared to the real ones here. You could just get lost in all of the native stories.
If you know of any collections that are available, please email it to me, Griff -- I am big into mythology of all cultures :D
I had to refresh (and force refresh) for about 4 times, but finally I can see your new icon. LOL!
For about eight years I lived in a house right on the Chugach Fault. (we didn't know that when we bought it) One night there was a *hard* HARD single shake. I was on the computer and thought DANG that felt like it was right under us! I went to the web to check it out for position. Then on a whim I found that site where you can put in your address and get a GPS reading. I howled (sorry gw) when I saw that the epicenter was *one second* degree off our position. it WAS right under me! Ha!
Must be off not finished but going to sleep now... see you in the morrow.
Oh yeah gw - let me think about that and I'll point you to some stuff.
Do you know what I completely dislike? Is to find a word at which I've been staring for AGES without having seen it! Grrrr....
Good night, Blaze! Catch you tomorrow, rest well
Sweet dreams, Blaze!
Bye blaze!
wow Griff! we don't get anything like that here in the UK, just very occasional gentle shudders in some parts of the country
....oh, *my* new icon Sprite? GW, do I get to tell the joke again????
'Night, Blaze!
goodnight Blaze :)
Of course, Griff! I'll close my eyes, thanks for the warning! ;D
Yes, YOUR new icon, Griffs! And if there is a joke, pleaeaease do tell!
Sprite.... my icon is THE PAWS THAT REFRESHES
ROFLOL! Would you believe my sleepy eyes saw a goose with a curly feather on top?
(and now you're going to say you have no idea what that advertising reference is and that's why half the world didn't get the joke when I told it the first time)
Yaaaaaaaay, I'm so glad you got it. Yoo hoo GW you can come back in now
Iknow, I was peeking the whole time :)
Hmmmmm, so whenever we tell you to avert your gaze you really don't. I'll remember that!
I knew. That's one thing I like about you, Woulf ;)
Most times I do... just not when I already know what's going to happen ;D
And speaking of misinterpreted icons, I thought GW's new one was a horse draped in a blanket and giving birth... and I was pretty sure that wasn't right.
ROFL, Griff!!
You know the first two tequilas were pretty nice but then they invited all their little friends...
I am still not sure about Woulf's one. Is it a man in agony, crying with his face buried in his hands? If not, I am at a loss.
well, griff, i can totally see the paw now, but at first i thought it was some kind of monster with a tongue depresser in his mouth ::shrug:: it's late
It's a wolf peering through reeds at the water's edge
hee hee leslie!
*wonders if she should get back to bed and sleep some more... or invite some of Griff's little tequila friends... or try a lobotomy for starters*
I won't tell you what I thought Griff's icon was, but paws didn't come into it! and I'd also appreciate an explanation of your icon GW, as I've been peering at it with curiosity :)
Tequla works, any time of day (put it in scrambled eggs - yummo)
Sherb! I'm shocked! (not really, because I know what you're thinking so I couldn't be that shocked)
It is a bit tricky to make out at this scale, I'll go change...
Am I too boring with my everlasting icon? All you guys are so creative :)
How's this? *refresh*
No, I loooooooove your everlasting icon. And in a day or two I'm going to go back to my dawgity self. Maybe change the tie.
GW - I just refreshed and I see the wolf and water's edge now...was looking at your old icon (the one with the horse blanket, lol)
No question there gw!
Ow Woulf, that is NICE!
beautiful!
I love the fact that the icon changes all the way through, so everyone who reads back will wonder what idiots we were being, unable to figure out GW's icon!
Powerful image of a powerful animal. I rest my case ;)
sprite - don't change unless you really want to I like your icon -- it always gives me a warm feeling when I see it
LOL, Griff
:D Then I'll leave mine as it is... don't really want to change it, it reflects my personality so beautifully.. ;)
LOL Griffs! Oh yes, I can imagine... "A horse? A man? They must have been stone drunk, right? And wasn't it early morning for sprite? Tsssssssssk!"
ok guys, my last word is a doozy: anyone got the in 9/66??
yes, you should keep your icon sprite...it's a classic...I like the way some stay the same and some change...
Leslie - it's when the guy runs in front of the other guy to steal the football pass
there are 2, leslieann both share the same in5 start
good clue, i am done! any clues before i go to sleep?
No, there's only one 66 pt
Yeah, got that one. Does 'doozy' mean you just found it or you want a clue for it? (having a blonde day for sure, I SHOULD get back to bed)
sorry, sleep dep made me forget about the score
Congrats leslie!
Great, leslie!
yes, please - the d is driving me crazy
i meant it was a big freaking word that i couldn't find. :)
Hey, I just found the duck in today's puzzle too.
Think god, Woulf.
GW - pray to the big one and he'll help you with it
(.....or he'll say "What the heck is that icon?")
81 - *diving back in*
Some gods don't approve of icons, I am told...
(*snort*) Griff, don't make me shoot water out my nose --- it makes my keyboard act funny :D
all right, sleepy time for me. good night.
I've only got 19 to go, I think it's time to hit the second letter list finally :)
bye-bye Leslie!
good night, leslie -sweet dreams
goodnight LeslieAnn :)
My stats panel says: "You have 7 word(s) left to find and they are all Ts and Cs and yes, they are looking you right in the face, stupid!"
just over 1/2 way through list, but still not ever found a 7 letter word.
hi lshult - you went Pro, well done! West Ham...oh dear...
Ah Ishult... a Garfield icon! Nice :D Good luck hunting the 7s, there are some nice ones.
OMG! I don't believe I didn't see the Y under the D until just this second!!! I should really get some sleep...
But only 17 to go... Can't resist lure of finishing...
Which means you finally found your missing link to religion, I trust, Woulf :)
(my dog is dreaming on the bed behind me, making little tiny baby-puppy barks....veryyyy cute)
My link has never been missing, just the name I choose to put to it ;)
I'm going to do just that GW... just finished and am heading to bed now
bye hugs - so glad to see you again
And that's all to the best, Woulf... as soon as a name is put to it, it is wrongly named ;) Btw, I never felt you missed any link, quite the contrary, LOL.
Have a pleasant rest, Hugabugs
Sleep well, Hugs. So glad you were here again. Have a lovely night and a wonderful day. :)
hey Hugs! long time no see...goodnight for now...hope to see you again soon :)
sherb- west ham v spurs today and we have it live on the tele. (first time this year I'm able to see them)
Thanks for the vote of confidence, sprite ;)
thanks everyone! You all have great days and/or nights, whichever the case may be.
I'm done 101 words 4.96 1345
lshult - I'm a Boro supporter myself, and you're doing better than us so far this season...hope this afternoon's match is good :)
Yay Griff!
Well done Griffs, and congrats. I follow your example. Done for today, time to pay attention to my adorable daughter (who enjoys reading and hopes mom keeps busy with other things so she can go on forever)
I'll finish this last drink while waiting for GW to finish.
Go enjoy, sprite, as I will mine later
*smiles at the spectacle of Audrey Hepburn saying she supports Middlesbrough* well done Griff and sprite:) I'm taking it at a more leisurely pace today... (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!)
Thanks Griff, no pressure there :D
You betcha sherb! I was just lubricated!
No pressure at all GW, I'm perfectly willing to make another drink to fit the allotted time.
better get the bottle Griff! lol...don't mean it really, GW ;)
'Sokay, sherb, it's how I am beginning to feel - down to 15 but foggy...
Will be asking for clues in just a few...
It just adds to the challenge, Woulf, to play those last hard words when you can't keep your eyes open anymore :)
okeydokey artichokey
sherb- hows a boro supporter come to be on london?
lol, sprite - I know, it's just that 5 days in a row mat be too much of a good thing :)
Sure is, Woulf :) Be good to yourself... some sleep is really working miracles for everyday life and infinitely sweet but demanding daughters.
lshult - forgot I'd deleted that bit from the profile - originally from Middlesbrough, been in London 20 plus years, really a Londoner in most ways, but some habits die hard...
Well I'm gonna give it ten more mins...
any clue going for the 8 & 9's?
Ishult - the 8 is usually thought of as the first year of adolescence
The 9's both start with the 5/10 preceding. One is, as I told Leslie, when the guy runs in front of the other guy to steal the football pass. The other involves the thing in your pocket which may have a particular ring tone.
Ishult, for the 8, just start counting and you'll get there.
OK, I fibbed -- I'm going to try to finish - down to 10 can't see the hi6/24
GW - it rhymes with the other word for violet
or the er7
It's that er stupidhead word that sounds like the thing that isn't a hippo but a ....
(when I'm this drunk I cast wide pronouncements on the worthiness of words, sorry - You! CWMS! You're fired!)
got the 8 & 9's thanks all for the help
Brain not working with that one, Griff how about the re5/12
re 5/12 is the singular of the word that follows er 7 is the word about the nasal discharge - we had it last week...
I don't have the plural either!
It's the start of the house where the priest or pastor lives...
Or if you drop the di- from the front of the telephone book, that will get you started too
I could have sworn I put those in earlier!!
Maybe you did - I had a difficult time with that yesterday - typing fast and then later found they weren't in, think they were getting caught in the refresh
3 ti's to go!
You probably did, happens to me all the time. How are you doing?
Woo hoo and they're all easy!
Some are small
and/or tr's or to's -- I'm getting really foggy now --
well in that case we'll just see! ;D
70 left to find, and I'm off to get dressed and do Sunday... good luck with finishing GW, and bye all :)
Bye-bye sherb!
Bye sherb, have a great day.
101 1345 I'm done :D
Farewell Sherb - have a great day!
Yaaaay zubie the babblebunny!
way to go zubie...I have 4 more left
Good morning, all!
Heheh Griffums :D This Babblebunny has a sprained ankle today. Not so hoppy!
hi jera!
WTG zubie! Woulf, there are only 2 To's. Tr x 5. Ti x 7. That should narrow it down, lol.
Awwwww. :((((
Thanks sprite.
Hi Jera! Ouch zubie!
Didn't get to finish yesterday, high hopes for today!

Okay. Unlike last night I AM GOING TO BED. Unlike last night I AM ALSO DRUNK. Bye bye
Hi mica!
heh nite nite griff
No problem... drop me a line if you like, my e-mail is in my profile...
A great day/evening/night to all! Thanks for lyour help -- two in a row with no a2z! (*hugs to all*) TTFN
hello and goodbye sprite hello zubie :)
i just arrived and everybody's going :P
I was about to say 'bye mica' but I think I'll desist. For a while!
I was about to say 'bye mica' but I think I'll desist. For a while!
thanks zubie :P
Hehe mica. :D I didn't get to finish yesterday. I began barely two hours before the grid expired. :s Reached 159. :/
I'm still here, micamonkey... for a while...
I figure a couple of hours in the middle of the night is my best bet to finish (unlike yesterda)
zubie, i sat in front of the computer for 7 hours to finish that puzzle and 2 hours before that to finish the previous days puzzle i went to bed with a headache and stiff neck lol anyways u guys feel free to go if u need to my mom's bugging me to go take a nap
Where are you micamonkey? It's 4:30 am-ish here in the states
I didn't do Friday's puzzle either. :s Was it a huge one?
jera, singapore
zubie, i cant recall hmmm its not as big as yesterdays :)
whew. I just finished. My last word was the te 7/28...I had a feeling what the word was, but I kept trying to build it by starting with the wrong t..grrrr
Ok. :D Hey, I think I'm going to have to log out now. Ankle's aching. See you for the next grid, ok? Bye Jera, mica, pinecone.
bye zubie...take care
I know that feeling well, pinecone... Huzzah! *throws confetti for pinecone*
cya zubie... take care!
bye all those who are going :)
the te7/28 is the on 7 word that I found. any clues for the others? unusual that the 8 & 9's arn't plural
Any clues for the ce5/15 & ce6/21?
ce 5 and 6 is a musical instrument
lshult...co 7 is a small, close group of people
Thanks pinecone - I was convinced I couldn't do those words!
te 7 / 32 is plural of te 6 before it
anyone want another clue before I go?
how about aclue for the te6
the first te 6 is a bird
the second te 6 is a group of three (like a triplet in poems)
Whoa... just saw the 9's!! Any clues or have the experienced ones left??
the only difference between the two te 6s is the last letter!
the 9s build off of the in 5/10 first one is in 5/10 + the things your body is made of
the second IN 9 is related to a lot of cheering and booing at an American football game when this happens to the ball
ty, pinecone!
okay, I'm off to bed. Have fun babbling Jera and lshult
sleep well
Well, I finished the P's... 33 words to go is a decent stopping place... I'll be back when the sun's up on my side of the world... nite all!
hi from a cold and frosty england
good morning from a cold and frosty US!
it's a bright sunny afternoon here!
29 words left, but struggling. Still, just had fish and chips for lunch, ready for another bash at it.
i'm about half way thru...
well, hello there. it is dark and cold here in Japan. lol
what's with the top right hand p. I can't find either word!!!
ishult 1 isa ph/4

finally got them, thanks
what - you don't use those words everyday?? lol
still can't figure out co7, dispite an earlier clue from pinecone05 (small, close group of people). any other clues?
looking for that also ishult sorry :(
also missing the n word
co 7 - an exclusive circle of people with a common purpose -or- think of an army bed plus the city i am close to
poos youve changed LOL
For the co 7 word, use the name for a baby's bed, followed by an eagles nest minus the y.
karen - 1st part is a bed; 2nd part is 1 of the Great Lakes
you too karenth! mine is moo shoe pork (bit of vegetarian humor...)
haz lawyer and poo thank you
yeh, got it
for the n word think of a geek...then pluralize it
Anyone else annoyed that you can't see the grid and the chat log because the ad for Dr-God's new venture is in the way?
oh but change the last letter on the geek (sorry)
yes haz its been bugging me :/
just 23 more to go, including 1 last 7. got co7/32 pr7/32 te7/28 & te7/32 What am i still looking for?
or - even easier - lop the i off your in6/18 (the coffee should kick in soon...)
er/7 ishult i had to A2Z it and its meaning is yucky LOL
WOW~~~~~~Just finished...now I can be babble free for the rest of the day!
maybe i just need it sugar coated, but I'm not getting anywhere with the er7. Any more clues?
well done judi yeah!!!!! could i have a clue for the pr/6 only 13 to go
add a letter to pr5
yah judi!
doh *slaps head * ty ishult its to do with the nose
it's a nasal drip ishult
thank you thank you for the praises
Good morning :)
Good morning to you too!
*yawns* 11:30 is really too early to be up on a Sunday!
Good morning Miy, is that your hair?
That's only because you don't go to bed early enough on Saturday night..
hi miy wasted words haz lol
Morning World.......:)
morning marc :)
I know - why would Miyavi listen to someone as old as me!!!
I remember my daughters, even if they went to bed fairly early on Sat nite they could sleep all day on Sunday.
Hey Karen! Haz! Of course I listen! ...listen to what?
Hey Tbear :)
((((Miyavi))))))
Miy- How about the hair, I know I am fixated
Hey Lotti :) Marc...uh, what? :/ far too early in the morning for me to read hidden meanings here!
Still cannot get the er7 or the te7/32 or the 8 any clues
Miyavi....hon...don't you listen to them...be a teenager as long as you like...stay in bed til midday...whatever...enjoy...my two have only just got up. Once you hit thirty plus guilt sets in......so enjoy it while you can....
Sorry, your icon is that you with the red hair. Didn't mean to be giving hidden messages just didn't want to get on your case so early in the morning.
Tbear, I intend to! Was only driven out of bed this morning by the sudden urge to hear a song :/ I blame Dir en Grey...
marc for the 8 think
Riiiiight! Marc, I wish my hair would go like that for me! My icon is actually a musician called Hide...died several years ago :(
marc for the 8 look no further than miyavi..... :D
Apparently, it's not just laziness that makes teenagers stay in bed for hours. They really do need the sleep. So, I do understand, Miyavi, it's just the mother in me coming out! Sometimes I hear myself saying things I swore I would never say to my children!
Oh, now I see...I missed your first post to me! Sorry, my bad :/
ditto haz my daughters are 18 and 21 :)
Miy I am old and no nothing, really out of the loop. My daughters tell me that I have no game.
Haz, I think that's just an excuse we made up :) Marc, I am young and do nothing! Karen...I'll be looking out for that word now!
Mine are exactly the same age as yours, Karen. One is away at university, the other at college near home.
Miy...just imagine when you're driven out of bed by the post that's just dropped thru the door and the bills therein, which actually have kept you awake all night anyway...but you still can't escape back to bed...COS THE GUILT....of sleeping whilst the rest of society functions....EXCEPT the lucky teenagers...ps that isn't described about HA
Whoop, got it! Thanks Karen :)
karenth, thanks unbelievable clue any on er7 or the one d
Have to leave, dinner guests arrived.
Later Haz :)
Dinner at 12?
ok guys the er7 is to promote nasal discharge *shudders* you asked for it LOL
Tbear, argh! How can you do that?! Luckily my generation was born without guilt :D The only time I'm ever driven out of bed by the post is when I leap down the stairs because I'm expecting a package from Japan ^_^
Later Haz :)
bye haz save me some pudding
Completely dumbfounded, no nasal discharge, I know when I get it I am going to be slaping my head.
dont slap to hard marc lol
Yup, looks like it's time to get that haddock

Good morning everyone. Stayed up way too late last night! Got energized by the puzzle and the brain wouldn't shut down even though i forcibly pried my fingers from the board and turned the computer off. Blurry this morning with 36 left to go and nonew prospects in sight.

Oops, could have been Lola actually... yep, it was. What was I saying about that haddock?!
*creeps away from chat log in complete shame*
*hangs head in shame * cant believe i missed that ...........
Have to go and make some soup for a meeting. Cream of chicken with sherry....yum. If anyone wants to drop into Vermont there will be plenty of soup, cheddar and ice cream.
count me in eva.........
Hahaha, i`ll let you off this time :o) Gotta go, see you all later:)
ooo ooo! i'm on my way eva
See you Lotti...
I don't deserve food anymore! For the next five years I will live in solitude in a tiny room, my only possessions being a small white saucer for my tears and a simple tatami mat to sleep upon.
Any in9 clues caught one?
Miy....I'm back...was trying to say...Hey and by the way that wasn't me described...guilt...isn't that something jewellery is covered with...
marc which have you got?

Hey SHerry :)
Jo add 3 letters to co4/5 Karenth, I changed the last letter and it did not work one would be and o and the other would be a p and neither worked. The o is close to the s so you would think that one wold work but it did not.
use the e to the right of the c
Got, thanks Sherry & Marc :-)
You're welcome!
Karenth, went the other direction and got them both. Thanks
Argh, today is just one of those days. Is there really any point in babbling when you've got a song stuck in your head?
phew now i can go happily well done marcxx
Bye and thanks again, Karen :)
Go happily, I am going back to sleep since I have been up babbling since 4. Miy just so you know we adults don't like to get up on Sunday morning either.
Bye Karenth!
Miya: just babble in rythm!
Lol Marc! How can you get up at 4?! That's insane! INSANE I tell you!
Sherry! Problem is, I've got the PV playing too, and both the song and Dir en Grey performing live is just too difficult to ignore!
Miy you don't need to know
Miya: ADDICTED, HOOKED!
*imagination goes into overdrive*
Miya: that's a good one.
Sherry! There's a catchy bass solo is all... ...And Kyo's shirt is open...
Miya: gaping frilly shirtaged? I understand how you feel!
Exactly Sherry! That sort of thing was not made to be ignored :)
Afternoon all ,Ive been away for a couple of days and cant get my head together yet, any clues please for the sc6/24 and the in6/18
Hi Caitlyn!
Hey Caitlyn! I'm too far behind myself to help, but I'm, er, with you in spirit?
sc 6/24 - what you are looking at
Woah...back in 5, must go do mad air guitar...
dip, I think that's the 6 21... the 6 24 is to see the future
in 6 - plural of in 5 - not active
Dippnall, i wasn't trying to call you a Dip - I just got to the bottom of my screen and couldn't remember your full name! :)
Thanks dippnall got the in now ty still got trouble with the sc got the one you suggested
Paperdoll, it would be cool if Dr_G put a little link on the name, flag, gender bar that said "send message" and would pop you to the message window with the name already populated.
Jo - that would be very cool! It would also be cool if we could minimize the gift box ad in order to see more of the chat...
But then we wouldn't be able to abbreviate names, which would be irritating...I love being called Miyavi, Miy or Miya
Yea, Miy ... probably why he hasn't done it ... but, there are times that feels helpful. LOL. The Giftbox ad is awful big, can't see my chat at all ... :-(
Plus, Jo, whenever you come on, I always have the biggest urge to call you Joe, just so I can say "hey Joe"...I blame Hendrix
caitlyn- add an s to your cr 5/14
Thanks for the clues Dippnall and Paperdoll!
LOL, Miy!!! Funny enough, I was actually named in memory of my grand grandfather Joseph .. just feminized it by removing the "e."
Thanks paperdoll but got that as well its the sc6/24 im missing
Hey Joe, heard you shot your woman down... oh great! Got another song in my head now...
;-) Miy
caitlyn - on my list that one is 6/24! are there two sc 6/24s?
Miya: lol! Am listening to Johnny Cash just now, Folsom Prison Blues LIve. Sunday afternoon.
paperdoll, I'm sticking myself on the clue you gave for the sc 6/24 -- seeing into the future. Am I thick or what?
Emailed Dr. G about the possibility of a minimizable Gift Box ad...
Jo - see my 7:18am clue - see if that helps.
Way to go, Paper. He could also move it under the chat, just as visible ... only not so interferring with chat log reading.
paperdoll perhaps my list is wrong Ive got 2 sc6/21 and 1 sc6/24
sc6: To see or predict the future by means of a crystal ball. That's the exact def. Past tense.
Thanks, Paper! :-)
Thanks sherry
Ok - went to the brandyjack list and there are 2 - 6/21 and 1 - 6/24. I've refreshed, and s + cr5/14 (to see into the future) = 24 points.
Can anyone give me a hint for the te 7/28?
Thanks paperdoll
yw caitlyn :)
paperdoll, te word sounds like a large serving dish for soup
Uh huh...there's something about Sundays... ...the musical day!
Thank you gramma!!!
As to the sc6.. you can also use a mirror or bowl of water (just some Witchy FYI)...
Oh by the way....Hello. I've been too busy to check the log. But now, I'm finished.TADA!! Drum roll please. Can I help any1 before I go?
hello all!
Yw , paperdoll
Congrats Gramma!
Hey Gem :)
Hi gem_gem!

I'm good thanks, Gem...song stuck in my head (again) though...how about you?
hiya gramma!
I can't believe strine isn't a word...
hi Sherry
Last call. Help any1?
still ill but u no part from that!
ok whats this gift box thingy!
gem_gem: It's Dr_G's newest creation. It keeps track of your holiday gift buying. So, you can easily see who you've gotten gifts for, and easily distribute money. Looks like it can keep track of what's been sent, etc ... Pretty cool actually
Ok, see ya all. Have fun.
thanks jo
See ya Gramma!
eeeeeekk! The T's are killin' me. How can there be so many TH's??
Okay, I'm off...I've already disgraced myself today by putting a word from the puzzle into the chat log (oops), I'm gonna leave before I start singing...
Bye Miy!
Bye Miy!
2 t's pls te6/21, 7/32
Miya: see ya girl! Jo: right! I'm about monkeytyping them: works better!
LOL, Sherry ... that's my plan at the mo. But ... I'm finding it hard to monkey 6 & 7 letter words. Boo hoo ....
Jo: for the th, I plan to have a look at Bj's list, work out where those long ones are and which words frame them, and then deduce the third letter...Sorta helps for long words.
Oh boy! Miya's right, it's music sunday! This Johnny Cash just cracks me up!
Good strategy, Sherry :-) Speaking of Johnny Cash, has anyone seen "Walk the Line" yet? MIght only be out in the US?
JO: no. That's a movie?
n e 1 ? 2 t's pls te6/21, 7/32
Sherry...what is Bj's list? Thanks!
Yea .. walkthelinethemovie.com. Joaq uin Phoenix plays Johnny Cash....
Happy one: sorry just have 2 te and not the ones you're asking for.
Can't believe I just found the th8... *smack*
Oh Jera! My good friend: any clue for th8 so I can share your joy? lol
O M G Jera, when I read you note, I looked at the grid and found it instantly! Thanks! :-) *happy dance*
It's a number with double letters...
ok just hav 2 keep lookin
th 4/5 + te 4/4 = th 8/45
I need those, too, Happy or I'd be glad to help...
Thanks! Got it!
I object to the second th4/5... other than a hint for the th8!
i tend 2 work back so iv not got far
Most days I work a to z, but some days z to a works better!
Happy, its also a "monumental" age for a young girl.
its only so i can still see my word list
wot te6/21 7/32?
Oh, sorry happy ... mind in the grid. thought you were looking for the th 8. Sorry :-(
Happy- change the last letter of your other te 6/21 and then pluralize it for the 7/32
I'm working on te's now... hopefully can help soon...
had me cofused...not hard 2 do. lol
paperdoll the male hawk 1 ?
Yes, the male hawk... you'll need to go a different direction after the c
sooooo...what is BJ's list?????
babs: in the box go to babblers anonymous, then general ,then stats!
paperdoll cant believe i didnt c that thx
yw :)
So Happy, are you good with your te's?? I have them all now...
And I'm done! Anyone need a hnad before I go?
and that's a hand not a hnad
Babs: got it? I was disconnected for a minute so it took me some time to reply..
jera i hav them all now thnx 2 paperdoll ;-)
Congrats Paperdoll!
Thanks, Sherry! I do use that list...just hadn't referred to it that way...thought maybe you experienced guys have more tools you use to finish so fast..
Last call for hints before I go...
Babs: when stuck, jusst ask! goes faster! I'm stubborn so I try to find as much as I can without asking or looking at the list. I usually try to to work the list halway through before I ask or look up BJ's list.
Wow. I type like a toffee brain...
One to go... need help please with the yi5...
the last ce 4/5 please.
Never mind... got it!
Def for last ce4/5 = A fleshy or waxlike membrane at the base of the upper beak in certain birds, such as parrots, through which the nostrils open (google is your friend, I always say)
Sherry - to wrap in a kind of cloth I don't know if that will help...
Alright - I'm off! Have a great day, everyone!
hav a good 1 paperdoll
Bye Paperdoll! Thanks for the clue! Thanks Jera: got it!
Does anyone know how you access the Enable Dictionary?
Babs: where is that?
yi 5--rhymes with a large person who has a lot of gi***
The Enable dictionary is the source used for this puzzle...I just don't know where it is online
ENABLE stands for "Enhanced North American Benchmark LExicon." It's a carefully researched and meticulously compiled combination of many other dictionaries (such as Merriam Webster 10th Edition and the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary), and has graciously been made available for public use by its lexicographers.
Babs: that might mean the dico that you can access whrn clicking on the ? mark. Otherwise...just email Dr God himself to ask him.
Oh Patact...I'll go to bed wiser!
I know what Enable stands for....just wondering where you find it...
Getting definitions for clicking on the ? mark often shows no definitions found
the following site has the software available for download for ENABLE and other reference tools: http://personal.riverusers.com /~thegrendel/software.html
whew! Thanks, Patact
hi. anybody have er7/32?
joelgee - er7 A medication that promotes or induces nasal discharge
Hi Jack! How's the Pearl today?
A yar craft, fastest in the seven seas.
HI Cathb! and thanks for the clue!
How about the i,n9/60 and in9/66?
sorry forgot to say Hi to everyone...only intended to have a quick 10 minute look at the grid ..30 minutes later i am still here
i am also stuck on the in9's...any hints would be gratefully received
haven't found er7 yet, but googling nasal discharge is incredibly gross.
Joel: aye! But it does work. Go google!
or thinhk about this grey animal in Africa, with a horn.
joeglee-thanks for the warning. guess I won't try that until after breakfast!
yeah. I know the horny animal prefix. Maybe not enough coffee yet.
Joel: good! er + horny animal suffix
any idea why my word list and stats is at the bottom of my page instead of handy dandy at the top... help, I can't babble without it beside me.
not you - had the same problem the other day.try hiding the icons
you are marvelous DARLING... thanks a million now I can get started.
Good Sunday, mnorning, everyone. Any clues on the DE5/16? Thanks bunches!
okay-- get the whale tail ready. Anybody have a clue for the er7/32 appropriate for a slow 5-year old?
has anyone any cluse for the in9's...pretty please..(i should really be making a start on the ironing !!!)
Hi Charm!
in9-- in American football, somebody will in9 a pass.
de 5/16: synonym for god
joelgee er+ an african animal with a single horn..change the last letter from o to an e
Joelgee - think of an african 4-legged animal with horn(s) on its nose. Rare ones are called white. er +.... (a nose job is called r****plasty)
cathb b if you google this def. it is the 2nd word down
in9-- in5 + ce4
Joel: cool! got it!
I got a couple emails about the GiftBox message pushing the chat log down so you can''t see the puzzle board and the log at the same time. So I've added a "hide" link to GiftBox message box. Thanks to everyone who has signed up for GiftBox so far. I appreciate it!
i must be not seeing something incredibly obvious. I know the rh*** thing. I just don't see how to get there.
oops meant that clue for joelgee
Hi, Sherry! Thanks for the clue - I was having trouble screwing my thinking back in that direction!!
thanks you all now have the 2 in's....off to do the ironing...see you all later
Forgot to mention - refresh the page to get the "hide" link to show up.
Joelgee - er + r**** (change last letter to a different vowel so it sounds like a german river)
thanks, Dr_god.
Dr God: you rule.
that did it. Could've sworn I tried that already. Like nobody's said that before. Thank you.
Am still missing in9/60...
Dr God - I can only see my word list if I hide the chat log. Had anybody else had this problem?
Joel: you need another cuppa.
sherry-- in5/10 + 1st ce4/5
yeah, but I found the in9s w/o monkey typing or a2z.
Thanks for the help, folks. Gotta go see why my 3yo is having a hissy fit!
Thanks Joel!
anyone have that ze word??
ze6 - not the nadir but the ze****
Monkeytyping is a great invention.
ze-- horizon, I believe. OR A brand of TV made in USA
ty charm i was banging my head against the keyboard over that one.
ze is also when the sun's most high position around noon.
ze-- a synonym would be apex, to be at the top
Wow. I need a break...am typing like a darkager!!!

Hi Ishult! ee 5/10: creepy, uncanny
that's top e in the word list
I meant the e on the top row of the grid!
thanks Sherry got it
LOL! I had a feeling! so ey4/6: Plural of eye; -- now obsolete, or used only in poetry.
yw Marigold! Ok! I'm gone! See ya!
obsolete for sure, I still don't know where to start
Ishult, it ends in the same letter as it starts :)
well that just gives me 3 more letters to figure out!

Hi movieman :) Hi Lotti ;) How was your 11th??? :D Miy, which one is that then?? I keep forgetting all these j-rockers who've thrown a six
JaxH. Hi/ 6 - Hobble rhymes with purple
Hey Movieman, Hey Lotti :) Anj, there's only one that's died! Drama queen...it's Hide
Really good Anj thanks :) We went for a curry, it was lush!!
Jaxx Thanx a million, got it and finished. Must go and see what my poor neglected kids are up to!
Ne1 like my new icon...bit of a blast from the past!!!
afternoon all :) back to find 70 more words...
Cheers Miy...I had a K name in my mind for some reason. Not Kyo tho' :/ Hey Lotti, hot stuff for a hot night then hun??
Hi Sherb :) Movieman, you should have been in yesterday at this time. '70s kids show nostalgia trip :)
Sure was Anj :)
*clings to Dir en Grey CD* Don't even talk about such things! Can't think of anyone else with a K name...
Hey Sherb :)
Movieman Penfold was one of the best toon characters ever!!!
lotti...I agree, tho' Dogtanian wasn't too bad either!!! And wot about the Transformers...can't wait 4 the new live-action movie to come out...
LOL Movieman, I bet you watch Captain Scarlet on MOM don`t you!!!???
I see it when I can, but I don't think it's a patch on the original puppet series...
I have to admit tho', Dogtanian had one of the catchiest and most singable theme tunes ever!!!
Lotti, have you forgiven me from this morning? :)
hi Anj, Miyavi :) movieman - Danger Mouse a bit after my time - I'm more of a Stingray/Thunderbirds kind of girl - and Captain Scarlett, lotti! - dah dah dah dah, indestructible Cap-tain Scar-lett!
You`re as bad as my hubby, he loves stuff like that, but aside from the toons, he watches Airwolf!!!
Hi all - back from the tree planting which was very cold and damp as predicted! Fab crisp, blue skyed November day tho' and ground not as hard as I thought it might have been. Had to leave sooner than I'd hoped as my feet and my wellies had an argument which was painful to say the least. It's much nicer here sitting next to a red hot radiator! Still looking good then Anj!
...my vote goes to The Hair Bear Bunch theme :)
Hey Snowy :)
hi snowy - we're back down memory lane again... :)
Hi Miy - less upsetting viewing today?
Hey Snowy :) Glad you had a good Plant-a-Tree Sunday :) Care to join me for Nuke-the-Whale Monday tomorrow? ;)
If we're voting, then mine goes to the FMA theme tune. Really catchy...
Sherb, my son likes the new version on a Saturday morning( he`s six) Theme tunes Anj......mmm how abour Rhubarb and Custard!!!!
Yes thanks, Snowy :) Just been sticking with downloading some Dir en Grey lives, which is safer :)
*this is the voice of the Mysterons...* oohh!!
hi, my friends..I am starting to believe I am accident prone..or just clumsy..stabbed my palm with a steak knife trying to seperate frozen sausage..severed a nerve or nicked one..as fingers are numb..*2*..
Does anyone remember Aubrey?? Used to be on ITV I think...
clumbsy???? gawd..brain farts
Moving on to the theme of Saturday morning kid's telly, Is there nebody who actually enjoys watching Dick n' Dom... Personally, I much preferred the kid's shows from the 80s, like Saturday Superstore, Going Live!, No. 73, Ghost Train etc...(ne1 remember Gilbert the Alien...?)
((((Miyavi))))) Of course i have honey, I wasn`t really cross in the 1st place ;o)
hi liana :) nasty, sounds like another trip to the ER?
Hey Liana :) Lottie, phew!
lianakate, I tried to cut off my thumb a year ago while opening a package. My middle name is "grace." :-P
Hi Liana :) Have you been in the battles again??
sherb..NO MORE trips to hospital *until tuesday for more tests*..hi, Miya ..music in head , eh..?..
Oh Rhubarb & custard and Crystal Tips and Alistair! My kids time tho' T.V was black and white and only for an hour when I was a child! AND we had LISTEN with Mother on the radio every day.
movieman - you're 27, you can stop watching Saturday morning tv now, lol!
Saturday Morning TV - TISWAS - accept no substitute.
anj..hiya..so it would seem..Getting old with diabetes is a pain in the you know what!
You know it, Liana. Currently Dir en Grey's 'bottom of the death valley' and 'embryo' Nice titles, hm? :)
Ne1 get the feeling I'm starting to show my age a bit...? lol
Ouch Lianna!!! Anj it sounds familiar, what about Chorlton and the Wheelies!!!! Movieman, Dick and Dom need a slap....80`s far better for sure!!!
darlene..LOL, i must be your twin,..Grace 2
Liana, i'm like that with frozen stuff. I've trained myself to defrost thoroughly or go without in the interests of keeping my extremeties intact :)
Nuke the whale Anj??? No No! I have to save the planet for my littlies now!
OMG, been back 20minutes...just entered my first word!
Miya, sweetie..if you like those titles..then they are fine with ME.... :)
In that case, those of us with different middle names really must be doomed! And poor guys were never given a chance :)
Wish i was only your age Movieman!!! Snowyowl, "are you sitting comfortably" LOL my mum told me about that!!!
lol Snowy :) OK the, Save the Whale :) Collect the whole set :D
Personally, I would like to set fire to Dick n' Dom's so-called 'bungalow'...
oh, i feel so much better to find I am not the only one who self mutilates...LOL..MUNCH syndrome..
hi everyone - taking a break from yard work...although I love sat morn tv, I do not recognize any of the programs you are speaking of. must be in your area only
Nah, just "all thumbs" syndrome...
Preferably while they're still in it!!!
Here here Movieman!!!!
Do you think its tiredness makes us clumsy? I cut myself on a can on Friday and just cut a chunk out of my fingertip with a meat scissor! good thing I don't have to go out as the only sticking plasters I here have monsters printed on them!
Thanks Liana :D Movieman, nothing like a little arson on a Sunday afternoon
forgot to mention ... refresh folks. Found a new one to entertain Babbler whenever she shows up.
darleen: still loving your icon, i need more of it!
I am a little unhappy about my two fingers being numb..i think it may be permanent.
Thats the one Lotti! Can still hear the music!
LK when did you cut your finger? If it just happened it may pass... I hope.
Liana, sounds bad...was the nerve actually severed?
tiredness really does = clumsy, don't attempt walking down the stairs upon waking in the middle of the night....recipe for disaster! wait...maybe it was the darkness..either way it was painful.
darleen- I refuse to refresh!!! PLEASE you should keep the old one!!
ah Sanky.. you haven't seen the NEW one! Even more slurpilicious
Snowyowl, the radio (wireless as my grandma called it) stories did wonders for the imagination :) Could do with them now!!
darleen-then I shall take your word & hit refresh!!
let me know what you think...
Dar- count on it!
lol Darleen, that should keep her happy. I hope she's getting some kip somewhere. Poor girl needs a good sleep. Hi Melnyw - back fro more :)
I`m dreading this now........ but i`m off to peel some spuds!!!! Wish me luck!!
mmm...hello Santa!
Radio 7 has childrens radio from 3pm - 6pm every day. 1 prog. called Little Toe and the other Big Toe! Must get my littlies to give it a try.
Later Lotti :)
Hungover....brain functioning veeerrryyy slllooowly... any clues for the er 7 would be much appreciated
I don't know why I can't find re4/5 and re5/12 they should be easy but I think I have tried every combo with no luck. Any clues, please
hey Darleen - there's a pe4 that's very apt today ;)
Lotti! Go with the McCain oven chips LOL :D
LOL Sherb... that was EXACTLY my thought when I first saw this. I'm not a war movie fan but I'd go see Jarhead just to see THAT.
you know it anj....it's bad...i got back from the bar last night and got on and plugged out some words! and here i am early morning back at it *sigh* it's slowly taking me...
Is it just me, or is children's TV really sinister? Especially since the McDonalds clown *shudders* has his own TV series now. And Boobah
Ah yes. Love it love, thanks sherb! Anj, glad you think we can keep Babbler amused. Always aim to please.
LOL Anj, not quite the same with pork!!!! See you all later :)
I heard Jarhead was great but I can't see it too close to home. My son is in Iraq
Mel, there's something to be said for Babbling on alcohol :) I always zip through the grid after a few beers lol
Ah Marc. My thoughts to him and to you. This is nasty business.
you know what...it's true! i got through 1/3 of it pretty quick!
Marc, I'm sorry :(
Babbling on alcohol? Hey I can't even manage it on water! OTOH if I drank maybe I wouldn't care so much.
it's really the pirate
mayavi - I concur... And wot about the Tweenies...I mean, wot are they supposed to be...one is purple, one is blue, and one is yellow...
Marc, your son is a good, brave man. Hats off to him!
best wishes to your son, Marc :)
It's true...I even tend to ignore the chat in favour of an OCD type fixation on finding the words... :/ LOL :D Johnp - don't have the er7 i'm afraid. JUst monkeyed the ir9/60 tho' :)
You know, I heard in Jarhead they don't show much fighting at all...it's more about the human interest...so i've heard (haven't seen it)
Mornin'/afternoon folks.
I have no idea what the tweenies are supposed to be, but it's still better than Boobah. I think that programme is some kind of brainwashing facility
i still find the teletubbies disturbing...
I haven't seen it yet either. Did read a brief article in EW by the man who wrote the book (it's based on his experiences in the first Iraq mess)
ARTLADY! mornin'!
Hey Artlady :)
Hi renfield :) Hi Artlady :) That's a fruity icon dear :D
Hi Darleen, Miyavi...I didn't change yet from last night...
great dinner dress
...I stopped watching after Banana Splits split....
ANj, I'm trying to rock everyone's assumptions about me...hence the red dress and pose...
hi artlady :) johnp - er7 - promoting nasal discharge (yeuch!)
I don't have many assumptions about people on babble...most of the time I don't know what to think!
Good one, Miy. You know what they say about making assumptions....
Good morning, Sherb. What a lovely clue you gave....
anj - another screen saver.... waiting with antici...pation
Thanks for the prayers, don't be sorry, he knew what he was getting into and it was his choice. Personally, though I do believe there is something nobel about it, I think he is nuts. Bad war for the wrong reasons. Sorry folks, don't want to get political but I had to say it. Better we drop it now. But I have to go now but I still need the clues for re4/5 and re/5/12
Hi Artlady - Still dressed to kill! I did suggest Satiny Sunday for today & that seems to fit the bill. OK anyone think of an easy to prepare Christmas Craft for my Brownies tomorrow? Should be working on that instead of this really!
Christmas Craft? As in arts and..? or is this a food item?
*Anj does sultry gaze for Renfield*
you could make snowmen out of marshmallows and toothpicks and then eat them! hehe
Marc re4/5 - what you pay to live in a house you don't own
Marc - re4 is the plural of an abbreviation for a word that means leisure (confused?), and re5 is the right hand page of a book (the re6 is the plural) :)
ce 5/ 12 ce 6/ 21 pls?
Likr the marshmallows - artlady it could be anything - just not to complicated as i have to prepareit and the girls will have a choice of 4 things to o.
On another topic...does ne1 have ne embarassing confessions they'd like to share about their favoute pop groups in their youth... Mine was Five Star (the Pearson family group from Romford, Essex)
re 5 12 is singular of the 6 21, means the right side of the page re 4 5, think of another word for sport, fun, maybe gym class, shorten it and pluralize it
just one's look....that's all it took
my first concert was New Kids On the Block! hahahah...the beginning of "boy bands"
Mica, bigger cousin in the violin family and it's plural. Smaller than a double bass tho' :)
movieman - I've already shared my David Cassidy/Donny Osmond youthful obsession, and I'm not going any further than that, lol!
To betray my ignorance, Artlady, I don't know what they say about making assumptions! :/
oh man for some reason i kept thinking that word is not valid so i didnt even bother trying!
Sorry Marc I can't count!
Sherb, there's nothing wrong with sharing obsessions!
My youth was dominated by Quo, Slade, The Sweet, The Osmonds and Gary Glitter. Oh, and Suzi Quattro lol.
I'm still in my youth and you can tell who it's dominated by!
and mine the Beatles & The Stones and then I got ballad bound so I loved Simon and Garfunkel!
clash, stray cats, fixx, tubes, boom town rats
Dir en Grey, Miyavi, X Japan, Hide, Due le Quartz ^_^
Miy, we never had the internet then tho' Multi media just meant a record deck with 16, 33, 45 & 78 in those days. *Anj listens for collective intake breath*
hey all...i'm back.
I also liked Kylie (still do...get well soon), Jacko (in his thriller/ Bad era), Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, Wet Wet Wet and practically everything that Stock, Aitken and Waterman ever produced in the 80s...
Hi evanonut! How are you?
im missing the 3rd in5/10 i got the common one and the no action one
*laughs* we had a 'radiogram' - my mother was SO proud of it - tuned in to Terry Wogan every morning, lol
No internet...*starts to feel weak at the knees* I think I need a lie down...can't imagine my life without all my lovely downloaded Miyavi PV's...and the occasional (scarring) Dir en Grey...
Hi evanonut :) Movieman, you forgot Martika...
hey anj, snowy...EXHAUSTED
mic - only 2 in 5 10
Oh yeah...Toy Soldiers was such a classic track...
Miy, I can still remember when buying a 7" VINYL single was still a big deal lol. ...and it wasn't THAT long agao really :/
crap! tracking wrong again causing me to look for words that dont exist.. TWICE today!
back..welcoming the hunters home from the hill. No deer.
Are you home form the hospital?
yep, it was so long!
all my music dates from the late 50s and 60s..not to mention my mothers obsessions with the 30's and 40's...i must know at least 50 thousand lyrics to songs..if not more...then..there were my grandmothers tunes..geez..
I still need help with er 7 if there is any out there...
I can remember when a bottle of coca cola went up from 9d to 1shilling in our local coffee bar. teengers were fainting in the street!
Heh...and I'm considered old fashioned because I like to buy CD's! It's my great outburst of materialism, I always feel so happy when I see that parcel with CDJapan stamped on the front :D
checkin in a little early today:)
he gained 30 pounds, couldn't eat, threw up a bunch, could barely breath...worst week of our lives. oh yeah, now he can't see.
did anyone have an 8 track player?..
er7 think - make a mistake on a German river
when I was a toddler..my grandmother would buy me a fountain coke..for a NICKEL..dang
evanonut, that doesn't sound like a walk in the park :/ Hope the outlook is brighter...
Afternoon all, I had a boyfriend that had an 8 track in his car - so impressed! LOL
john p - er 7 - first part (3 letters) means to wander or do wrong, second part (four letters) is a make of brandy :)
I can remember when there used to be such a thing as penny sweets, and chocolate bars and packets of crisps cost 20p or less...
Oh evanonut - you said it would be bad - have been thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers.
anj, pure hell, only worth it if it works movie - have a penny candy store 30 minutes from here
i love early jazz, and blues, i can tap dance to the 30's and 40's tunes - and twistin the night away - my parents always woke us up to music
snowy - funny clue, and Sherb - thank you both
Movieman, there still are : www.aquarterof.com :)
Liana my dad was a Frank sinatra - Tony Bennet nut so I grew up loving all that styoe of music
thanks snowy, knew it would be bad, but impossible to prepare for it. only good thing i can say is how wonderful the hospital staff was.
movieman - I can remember before decimalisation! - pounds, shillings and pence :)
Evanonut, that's awful :( I'll keep you in my prayers too
tx myavi - just so glad to be home now
how many words are there today?
anj...I have seen that site...in fact, I have it in my list of favourites...
evam..I didnt know you were in hospital!!!!! Glad youre home and on the mend.
Okay...just seen a really weird fan video. It's just not right to put a DeG fan vid to the song 'kick the can'. Just not right.
101 :)
Its funny how we complain about our hospitals - but in a crisis and in the chemo units you generally hear fantastic reports of the staff - they almost always come up trumps.
And for those of u who are feeling REALLY nostalgic...try checking out www.retrocrush.com...
snowy..i can play name that tune with sinatra and all of that ilk. I liked johnny mathis too..lol
lian, actually my husband was in the hospital, but i basically was too since i never really left but to get a shower.
Lol Liana - loved Johnny Mathis.
Since everyone else is putting up links... http://www.youtube.c om/?v=V5xj4jMliU4 not right I say
they were all great. except for one evi l nurse named xena. we called her the warrior princess.
is he doing better now, evan?..gosh. My ex was in the hospital with a ruptured appendix..and peritonitis..for 4 weeks..I know how you must feel!!!
Whew! crashed and burned a bit on the computer...
he feels a little better each day. he's in a clinical trial, so no telling what to expect. i just hope his vision clears up, we'll try to get him to an eye dr. tomorrow.
I dont know if any of you are familiar with Etta James..i sing almost all her bluesy music!! Ooooooooooh..i love the blues..
i'm a nora jones addict myself, since we're talking music.
Oooh, liana, we have similar taste in music. ILOVE her stuff! Plus other blues artists..
Evan..will send up mega prayers for you and for him~~~!!!!
where did our pirate go?
Dianne Schuur, Jane Monheit (more jazz and standards), Diana Krall...
tx lian
...It's a really weird link and does make you wonder how Dir en Grey spend their spare time :/
No I'm not Liana - he was a Dinah Washington fan & ella Fitzgerald and we both loved the Inkspots!
Hi, Art Lady :) She was awesome..died a yr or so ago, I think..
and Norah Jones, Susan Tedeschi (great blues band out of--I think--Massachusetts)
I can't believe it took me so long to find the 8...considering I had that many t's left to find!!! lol
Etta was in Chicago at the House of Blues a few years ago on our anniversary...but we didn't go. Bad move!
Guess we all like that laid back blues type stuff! Well who wouldn't for goodness sake!
I love Dinah Washington.."What a difference- a day makes. 24 lit-tle hours."
and buddy guy
Did the Inkspots sing "You always hurt....the one you love, ..the one..you shouldnt hurt at alllllllll"?
pr 5/14 anyone? got the other prs but this one is elusive to me
Movieman, I just read your profile, I think it's so great that you work with people with Aspergers Syndrome. Over the holidays I volunteer at a Hospice, but I think working like that full time is a really inspirational thing to do
the PR..something was stuck ..so I took a knife and Pr... it apart..(and in the process, stabbed myself..LOL)
Oh Liana I don't know - I liked 'I like coffee - like tea' - cant remember the title.
java jive...thats the title..Mahnatten Transfer sang that too!
hahaha...thanks lianakate...seems so obvious now!
Miyavi...and I didn't even know I suffered from it until I was in my early 20s...it certainly explained a lot about why I never got on well at school (workwise or with my classmates), and why I took me so long to find a decent job...
what is aspergers syndrome????..
Mel, youre more than welcome :). I get lots of help and am pleased when I can give some in return~!
we have several kids treated at our clinic that are "on the spectrum", a lot of them you'd never even know it - unless you really know what to look for...
I just think it's a really great thing to do
liana...it's a form of autism characterised by not recognising facial expressions, not understand people emotionally, not socialising very well etc.
thanks Liana thats the one. Hows this for coincidence. Miy reads moviemans bio and mentions he works with people with Aspergers Syndrome and my nephew who is 7 was diagnosed last week!
...Typically, people with aspergers syndrome are really logical, great at maths, science, music...things like that
i am stuck with 33 words left to find! I couldnt even noodle up the 8 or 9s...ack..I may need a break!
our pirate has disappeared snowy
In fact, it took me until I was about 24, 25 to find someone I could socialise with on a regular basis... Some of u fellow babblers may know him as 'punster'...
Thanks for the explanation! The little boy next store is missing his 18th gene..and has lots of troubles. He has a little book he carries with him to point out pictures..and does some signing..he is 4.
...no, just loitering with intent...
Unfortunately miyavi, I'm not one of those...I'm as illogical as they get!!! lol
I have several students in various places on the "spectrum," and they are all unique individuals. One is extremely bright and very artistic. Others have other strengths.
I 've seen punster here movieman - Is your organisation national? It may be a useful connection for my brother in law and his wife
lol Movieman!
snowyowl - there is a therapy technique called RDI that may be worth them looking into - I'm not sure if they have it available in your country, but it's worth checking out!
whew - i was about ready to put the pirates in the dvd - and put on my black pearl eye liner
am going to google aspergers syndrome..bbl. (have a great interest in all things medical..) At one time I was going to be a doctor..My ex, wouldnt allow it..the bugger~
But I am great at making lists...in fact, I have just finished designing my own list of my DVD collection, movies being my particular strong interest, and I am also pretty good at remembering lines of dialogue from my favourite comedy shows (Red Dwarf, Blackadder etc), and my favourite movies...
thankyou melnyw will pass that on
movieman - I applaud you for muttin gthat in you rprofile. I have a cousin who has aspergers but it wasn't diagnosed until a few years ago and she is 35
Good morning everyone! -- been reading back through the log -- giving your age away, Anj, with talk of 45's and 78's!
aH MOVIEMAN THAT EXPLAINS A LOT - i WAS WONDERING WHERE YOU COPY AND PASTED ALL THOSE LINES FROM - AND NOW I KNOW!
sorry I hit the caps lock button = didn't mean to shout!
Figures, that's logical. And I was admiring how you managed to remember such detailed blackadder dialogue!
snowy - unfortunately no it isn't, it's a registered charity called Red2Green and it is based in Cambridgeshire (where I am from) But I think they should begin expanding...(it would certainly help a lot of other individuals with the same condition as I)
argh it's all going pear shaped, I can't type and snowy owls caps lock is locked!!!
Husband due back from church any minute - off to prepare dinner bbl
lol - its joined my hip joints Ho Hum!
Also, that fact that I am so illogical probably explains y I can never finish a Babble grid without the aid of a2z and Babbler's Anonymous...
Grrr...don't you just hate long downloads? Trying to get a sneak peek at Oresama and it's taking forever!
movieman - logic has nothing to do with it...I almost never finish a puzzle without using a2z and second letter list! :D
Down to my last 3 -- all help gratefully accepted! er 7/32 te 6/21 (have the car) te 7/32
Hi Finally checking in on a Sunday long time no chatting...I work with Aspergers at our school I have been in the alternative learning program for 8 years we are very lucky for our students to have this program...Boston has a lot of support groups and info..

Hi Hurshy!
hi hurshy!
hi hurshy :)
BTW - Anj -- love that clue on the er! -- just wasn't bright enough to get it right away.
Anj - I guess the reason is that I think of it as a French river, having spent a week in Alsace on our last trip over.
apparently this board is too good for major ketsup manufacturers....
Doesn't look like anyone needs anything, so I'm logging off until post time. Thanks for all the help everyone -- see ya later!

ER7 means "Promoting or inducing nasal discharge."
Hurshy, nasal discharge... I don't have a better clue...

that must be mr. smeltz, he's the jacuzzi one. and he's the one who likes to vacuum. lol

Baggo, my brain cell is yours...
Hi joelgee happy Sunday to you too
hey, snowy--
Hi Miya :) Hi Joel - nasty conjunctivitis you're got there lol :)
that de5 (too much guiness friday night, and then margaritas last night, i am mush...)
Has Babbler been around today - haven't seen her at all - and anyone seen Dachef keep missing him too?
Baggo, think god/goddess :)
has anyone posted clues for the in9/66 or the z?
i haven't seen dachef in a few days..babbler was on friday...i did the puzzle on paper and had my kids enter is yesterday and i laid on the couch...
what an idiot...i am
thanks anj...
Well, it wouldn't do to show up at the same grid wearing the same icon. That was my Jack last night, probably after you left, and this a.m. , so I tried the all-seeing eye of Sauron. I need a REALLY big eye dropper.
lol joelgee.. good one. (passing the murine)
Hello everyone! :)
Darleen, in9/66 - stop something in the act of doing something. Mad Max drove the last of the in.........ers :) ze6 - opposite of nadir. Top of the world?
darleen-- don't hurt yourself.
hi Lola
hey, lola.
thanks Anj. duh. (smacks forehead)
(((lola)))
Hey Lola :)
Lola - missed you - good weekend? Anjs new icon has caused a lot of fluttering hearts so keep him talking please!
Hi babe :) (((xxx)))
heard clues for both sc5/12 & so5/12. still can't get them, helppppp!!!!!
keeping me from doing my 2006 budgets
Ishult for the sc drop the last letter of the sc6
Hi guys, missed you too! Good weekend though :) Hey babe! Niiice icon ;) (((xx)))
ishult, the sc5/12 - take the n off your sc6/21 :) the so5/12 - think of an abbreviation for South California (5 letters) take out the A and put an E on the end :)
ok ***tosses carton of fishes*** er7
Baggo, it's a nasal thing :/ Sounds as if it means someone could be hesitating on a big German river
Lo, i've got my effects back after Skimpy Saturday :D
Nooo! You guys had skimpy saturday without me?!?!
sorry lola, but yes.
lola we both missed it...i should've let my kids chat, they wanted to, but myhead was a mess...
We very nearly had enough material for a decent handkerchief :)
achooo!!! oops.
*lola will not chat while sulking*
finally got the so5/12. ty
ishult, there are some weird words in here today :)
coochy-coo! *Anj tickles Lola under chin* Come on, no sulky wulky pout on a Sunday ;)
woo hoo...finally...that e about killed me...thanks anj..
*sigh* Never could resist a pirate's charm :) Baggo, why was your head a mess??
re5/12 ?
never mind, monkeyed them.
went to an irish pub here to listen to roger drawdy and the firestarters...and the pints of guiness went down really nice and then they brought out this irish moon shine...knew when i smelled it i should stay away...alas
7 to go. all t's
baggo, lol! I thought my head was going to split open on me this morning. I got together with two old school friends last night and we partied SA style!
Ah, so you've sampled the delights of Poteen then??
that's the name of it...oh my gosh!!!! and how does one party sa style??? i did the irish thing friday...those boys can drink...
seems i'm missing 4 th's starting with th6
...stick an E on the end of the first th5 :)
*Anj chortles away at the thought of 'Mrs Balls Hot & Spicey..."*
th5/12 are giving clues because th4/7 want you to find the words...
just realised I only have the 2nd th5
just realised I only have the 2nd th5
well if ya have the second change the consonant on the end and do what anj said
baggo, plenty of sa wine and music! Problem was we haven't seen each other since we were students and we kinda forgot that we are quite a few years older now!
Lo, you should learn to talk more and drink less ;)
that was my problem too...i kept up on the pints, beer isn't a problem it was the nasty poteen that did it, i stayed away from the whiskey, but then they made me do the other...and i couldn't smell it just had to shoot it...i thought i was on fire...
LOL! There was plenty of talking babe ;)
*crying* Man, I'm disgracing myself tonight. Watching a movie that I can't understand because it's all in Japanese and not subtitled, yet I'm still crying at the bits that are apparently sad. Just because the film has Miyavi in it.
then my husband tells me i got up on table and tried to do the irish jig with another girl...
But did you snog her?? ;)
that worked a treat. just 1 th to go. last th5/12
not that he told me and if i did i don't think i want to know....lol
put and e on the skinny one
oops no an l on the one above it...
is there a the.. that isn't in any dictionary?
Miy, find a happy place. Better still, watch Tetsuo Bodyhammer. It's probably less distressing :)
okay then not the last th5/12 (the middle one!)
the "the" is a caffeine derivative
ishult, put an e on the skinny one...
Baggo, we used to take poteen along to the football matches in winter to keep warm. Only the suicidally brave took a swig. Everyone else used it to light a fire :/
lshult add an e to your th4/5
Oresama isn't distressing...it's just that Miyavi's crying. I think I'm just keeping him company. Though I really don't understand what's going on...I think he went back in time at some point
oh my gosh these girls got out lighters for a song that the band was playing, and i was afraid to breathe cause i swore i would light something on fire...
Anj, baggo, are you guys having a problem getting into last?
lola, i'm on but it keeps skipping...
Ah, that's the good stuff :) Rocket fuel. Generally usurps your body for the most neinous acts of depravity whil perfectly preserving your total recall which you don't realise until someone utters the rhetorical trigger phrase question "What were you like last night?!"
Lola, haven't been able to access it since about 1am this morning. Always times out.
lol anj!!!!!
okay, now i'm confused. I have 3 th5/12's the th5/12 suggesting it's of someone else the th5/12 - skinny one + e the th5/12 as my ist th5/12 but changing the last letter to n please tell me what I'm missing?!??
finished at last...must go now and sort lunch for work tomorrow..see you all tomorrow night snowy if you are still there i will ring after brownies
ishult, it goes above the 6/21 take off the e..or if it helps a caffeine derivative used with cancer patients
'bye cathb :)
nite cathb...
Night CATHB speak to you tomorrow
Night Cath :)
ishult, stick an L on the end of your last th4/5?
'nite CathB :)
thank baggo but i think i've got that one. i think it's the 3rd one i'm missing
OH congrats CATH!
ok i'm done...i'm off to the couch....and some more gatorade...thanks for the help anj...see you goes on monday!!!
yes, at last got it. now just 3x t4's and i've finished for the first time.
ishult the first two have the same first 4 letters the last letters are different...then you have the skinny, and the last one
'bye baggo :)

Spunky-looking? I'm pretty sure you don't mean what I think you mean by that...the word 'spunk' has changed its meaning a lot :/
finished for the 1st time. I'm soooo proud.

...Especially given the new meaning of 'spunk'...
i'm taking my portable dvd and my pellegrino and going to the tree house - 2 words that have eluded me

the yi5/16, is it a normal word?
i love them both - they have great one liners and really smart business women
: D found it monkey typing !
snowy, te5/14, very small :)
yay! ch1212 :) How are we all doing folks??
no Babbler - think the measurement around something ( horse) and replace the 1st letter with a y
My favourite Mae West one liner is: "It's not the men in my life, it's the life in my men". LOL !!!

Hi chic :)
Hi anj and lola; don't often jump in during the day but I do lurk your chats...
Hello! Any help with tr 4/4. I have the easy one. Thanx in advance.
chic, I've got three words left to find and I'll be cracking the champers...so stick around for a glass ;)
the first te5/12 anybody, pls? I presume the te6/21 after it is related? a plural perhaps? ty : )
Just a quick hi and woohoooo for finishing! Have been away for the last few days, got back a few hours ago and almost immediately logged on to babble *facepalm*!!
griffum served us tequila & twisslers last nite
hey Atalante !!! bravo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maru - replace the last letter of your easy tr4 with a cuppa ;)
Te 5/12 is a variant of tierce
babs, with chinese food you can have noodles or ****. Take out the second letter and add. Add two diff consonants to the end for the two 6's :)
Hi Atalante :) Babbler, the first te5/12 sounds like a v similar word meaning blunt or short in speaking An L on the end of that will get you the te6
te 6/12 is a toyota
thanks guys!!! gottem !! :D
...tecrispyducky?
clue for er 7/ 32 please
LOL Anj !!! :)
Hi atalante :) Okay, I give up. Please will someone *looks at Anj* help me with re5/12, re6/21 and the my third st5/10. I have what you do to a car and nicked.
wow, looking for the same st5 here, Lola! :)
another flock flew over my head
LOL! Best I can bloody do with this hangover!
st/5 - moo
klly, er/32; a substance that promotes nasal discharge
re5/12 and re6/21 - sounds like if a boato, got swepto on to the rockos it would be re..... :) Whack it with the plural fish for the re6
LOL Anj!"!! gottem straight off!

Ok Anj. I didn't get it. bu, bu, bu. I have the woody tr 4/4. Would you mind giving me another clue for the other tr 4/4?
Babbler, I could only describe it earlier as the abbreviation for South California without the A but with an E on the end...
Wait till Aug 06. It'll be the same as the 10 books before it :P
buy it now Anj, you know you can't wait!! evening all *waves*
think of it as the quality of life
Bobsta !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! *swoon*
lol Atalante...is that from a literary or aesthetic viewpoint??
Hi bobsta! How you doing? :)
Evening Bobsta :)
thx Anj :)
Hiya Babbler, hiya Lola and everyone. ;o)
Maru, it ends with the same letter as it starts :)
ermmmmmm the viewpoint of someone who got fed up of nothing ever happening by book 7 LOL!
how's your day been? what did you have for breakfast? did you go out last night? what are you doing this week? (one post at a time please !!! LOL!)
hey bobsta
Thanx Anj...
that was for Bobsta ....
hey Renfield, Babbler: Brekkie was sunday roast
WoT is a bit of a labour of love, granted. It will probably read better once they are all released and you aren't waiting 18 months for each instalment lol. The latest is actually getting good reviews as it ties up a few of the story threads
Day was good cos my team drew today
...really? What did they draw??
Didn't go out last night, too knackered from Friday
Anj: LOL!!!!!
I do want to read them all - but I'm waiting till it ends - if it ever ends. I just couldn't face the wait, then loooong book where nothing much happened, then a wait etc etc. I loved up to book 5. Books 6 and 7 just tired me out ...
sorry Bobsta. Up the Hammers then??
And this week i ar mostly workin' in Coulsdon *pants heavily after too much typing in one hit*
Atalante, he's also re-issued the early ones as two-book breakdowns now. Not sure if it's a cash-in or bonus edition type of thing. Oh well, will just get Peter F Hamilton's Judas Unchained instead then :/
LOL Bobsta !!!! There, there, all that typing is exhausting.......... so what did you have for dinner?
But of course Anj Should have seen the celebrating in the pub afterwards, you'd have thought we'd won!!!
Home made chicken curry and Home made pilau rice. i was gonna ask for some of your potato stuff earlier but i was full at the time.
first sc6/21 anyone pls? and the sc6/24, if that's ok? ty pls : D
I didn't know that! I thought I'd seen some new RJ titles that I didn't recognise, but I thought that must have just been my imagination. Get some George RR Martin instead LOL *inserts mega-fan plug*
sounds lovely, Bobsta!!! cor !!! so, aaahhh *thinks* do you have to get up earlier tomorrow cos you have further to travel?
Babbler: sc6/24, put an s in front of your cr
Well Spurs are one of the Sleepers this season I think. Jol has got them playing well - plus it's your local derby so any 92nd minute equalizer is like a winner :D We tonked the Hoops 3-1 yesterday. Holly was not a happy chappy by all accounts...
*sad face* Yeah, gonna sign off in a minute, gotta have a shower and stuff
hi 6/ 24 hint please??
*sad face also* make sure you post a few times before you go, yeah?? ; )
Babbler sc6/21 - think of motorcycle or bike, think of the word before it - remove one "o" in the bike
klly, sounds like purple :)
Anj: ahh shame. you're right though jol has got them playing well. I think we're doing fantastic at the moment, to tell you the truth i didn't hold out much hope for us this year
Greetings, fellow Babblers! How is everyone doing?
inspired clue, kristin !!!!!!!!!!!! ty!! niiice icon !!
no sad face - please no sad face - you just gotta stay happy 8-)
Hi jera :)
what the heck is that???? i have it but I can't even find a definition
thank you babbler - thought it was an appropriate icon for this crowd - LOL
hey jera :)
Atalante - Song of Ice & Fire? Must admit I've learnt to hold off trilogies until they are written lol. I didn't think WoT was going to stretch to 12 books. Only other series like that is Asimov's Foundation stuff or maybe Hugh Cook's Chronicles of an Age of Darkness - and they all read as individual stories in their own right...well mostly.
right then guys 'n' gurls, i'm off gotta go and do the three esses. nite nite x
hey jera !!!!! :D
klly, no idea. Not even sure if it will Google. Just another quirk of Enable :)
hey jera !!!!! :D
'nite Bobsta :) Hi Jera :)
'nite bobsta :)
LOL Bobsta !!! of course I didn't understand that, cos I'm a lllllllllaydeeee !!! Have a good week, mate ! :)
I must challenge the second th4/5... although it is useful as a clue to the th8...
I'm still not actually convinced RJ will ever finish WoT! And yes, A Song of Ice and Fire. The newest book came out a few weeks ago after about 2 years of waiting! Why do authors do this to us!!
Jera - Harry Potter?
Yes, I'm incognito today...
Gwyd starts preschool tomorrow & I'm going to see the movie ALL BY MYSELF!!!
Must say Anj, you are looking mighty sexy today...
Hi folks! Am back!
you lucky thing, Jera!! I've heard it's the best so far :)
Ooh, good luck with that jera! :)
hey Sherry !!!!!!!!!! :D
WB, Sherry!
Hi sherry :)
We'll see... as an avid fan of the books, I fear I will be disappointed... I've heard of some rather disturbing omissions...
Atalante, tell me about it. I can never pick up the story thread again if it's been too long. It's why I've switched from bookshelf-sized sagas to one-off or themed stories like Terry Goodkind, Alistair Reynolds, David Brin, Charles de Lint...
Why thank you Kristine :) Evening Sherry :)
jera - haven't got to see it myself, but i can understand omissions on the movie. think how long it would take to get it all in.
I like to read stuff over and over again! It's been some time since I've read a new book... it was Harry Potter, actaully!
that's why I haven't seen any of the movies, Jera. I'm a big fan of the books too. I'm going to wait till I've read the entire series (inluding the one not written yet), THEN I'll consider the movies..... :)
babbler, no need to wait to watch the movies. their on line enough to keep from confusing you.
i've been reading how buidlings are built & supported in siberia
It is possible for a movie to be different from the book, but still good. I try to keep an open mind. I just don't understand the logic of some of the changes... leaving some things out & adding others... very annoying to one who's practically memorized a beloved book.
sounds all consuming ren
Right, I must be off to bed, busy day tomorrow. Good night everyone :) 'nite babe, sweet dreams (((xxx)))
NIte, Lola... sleep tight!
Good night Lola!
remember jera, they work out the scripts with jk, so it never strays far.
nite Lola Wola !!! sweet dreams, luvvie ! : )
*refresh*
I love Charles de Lint! And Sheri Tepper - her books are usually nice and separate. That was always my problem with WoT - by the time the next book came out I couldn't remember half of the detail from the previous ones. So I'd end up reading those and then the new one, and I'd spend half my life reading them!
'nite Babe :) Sleep off that hangover lol (((xx)))
Jera, that's the nature of adapting for the screen. Some ideas just don't make the leap. That's why some characters are fused into one. Or some are divided into two. Or like Bleak House on BBC1, they create a new character all together !!!!! : )
I'm a big fan of Elizabeth Peters and Lillian Jackson Braun... both truly excellent series writers...
now if we're talking excellent series writers, one cannot leave out janet evanovich.
?? I did, Sherry, but I still see a guy with a fish on his head.... ?? I already saw him before..... ??
Elizabeth Peters *perks up more* she's one of my favourite favourite writers
I think it was very smart of JKR to keep consultant rights (or whatever that's called), evanout!
Atalante, if I could recommend anyone one book it would be de Lint's Someplace to be Flying. I love his Newford stuff...probelm is he's releasing soooo much at the moment that I don't know what to get next. I would like to get Memory & Dream but it's swapping hands 2nd hand for ridiclulous prices :/
Atalante... Have you read Serpent in the Crown?? It's her latest... extremely excellent!!
Who wrote Shameless?? He's my favourite series writer. Top guy.
AH AH AH! one of my attempts at Paint! It's John Sheppard from Stargate Atlantis...dressed him up into a knight...it's a feather on his head actually! lol!
well jera, they'd be dumb not to consult her because she's the only one that knows the end of the story.
LOL Sherry!!! oops! so sorry!! I thought with all the fish slapping we do, you got an illustration for us!!!! : D
yes I have, Jera! Actually I got it in the US - thankfully - cos I havent seen it here yet! I havent read that one Anj - I'm adding it to my Christmas list right now. Do you like Neil Gaiman's books by any chance?
Currently I'm reading The Cat Who Went Bananas... how's that for a cute title, LOL!
Wayne & Waynetta her: have you read any good books lately? him: yes, but I found the plot a bit too complicated so I could not continue her: what was it called? him: Spot The Dog LOL!
The Glass Bead Game - Magister Ludi? anyone
i am having ce -- issues. any clues out there for those of us who a really dense????
now what's that like, renfield? I've heard so many different things about it. some people get on with it, but some people can't at all.
ak do you have any ce words?
Atalante, I've only read American Gods, but i've heard good things about Anasi Boys as well. Plus Good Omens as well :)

*sniffs* you sure?? re6/24 - get married and you will have a wedding r......... Just lose the electrically charged particle :)
Th6/21 and te7/28 please!
Sherry, th6/21 is the first th5/12 with an E on the end :)
if you're ever bored Anj, you could do much worse than picking up some more Gaiman. Especially Good Omens - that is just fabulously silly.
...the te7/28 is a large, er, French serving bowl :/
Thanks Anj! I should have known...
took a while, Anj, but I got there! thx mate ! :)
Atalante, i'm trying to be good with books at the mo. I'm reading Adolf Galland's The First and the Last now, and that will be followed bt Bruce Campbell's If Chins Could Kill. hen i've got another 35 new ones to read :/ I'm a bookaholic...never pass a bookshop without getting something...
It's so great to hear people talking about books !!!!!!!!! Anyone read the No 1 Ladies Detective series?
Babbler, you done? :)
Ah, te7/32? Je me suis gourée! I already had the French thingy!
sorry babbler - i had to (crunch, chrunch) get some carrots - i haven't eaten since the twizzlers last nite - if you're read Thomas Mann's Dr. Faust - they run along the same lines - bringing people together in Platonic intellectual spiritual being relationships (hope I didn't ues any words from the gird)
ummmm, 23 still to find........... :/
ah Sherry, you need to whack your 2nd te6/21 with the plural fish :)
the last two pr words in the list, anyone pls? pr5/22 and pr6/36 (presumably related??) ty
Babbler: in a contest you can win a pr****
so am I, Anj .... I have far far more books than ever necessary, but I simply can't help it!
an award - w/ the american spelling
Anj: look how terrible this is...haven't got any of the te6/21 yet. I was going for the points there!
gottem! why I didn't see them, I don't know *picks up the haddock........ *
I have a gazzillion books to read too!!! My living room looks like a library!! :D
OK, I give up. What planet is the yi 5/16 from? Any clues? It's my last word.
what is the #1 ladies detective series?
Alexander McCall Smith is the author, renfield. Have a look on Amazon. They're really really lovely books! :D
A series of books written by Alexander McCall-Smith set in Botswana.
al start, think of a g5 word for waist or width and swap the G for a Y :)
ok - i'll check her out - we have a serie of 1/2 priced book stores - where you can get some books for as little as a 1 usd
Hey :)
Anj, thanks for the clue. Got it. Done at 101. That's not an everyday word is it?
my favourite kind, renfield !!!!! :D
TOES !!!!!!!!!! hey hot stuff !

*giggles with delight* thanks Toes !!! :D
Sherry! Are you being naughty yet? lol :)
anj - I am pretty good. My eyes hurt from loking at the computer all day though :( Your welcome *smiles shyly*
boat, Sherry, start with the te5 that sounds like blunt speaking but is splet with a C - put an L on the end for the first te6/21 - swap the L for a T and you get the 2nd te6/21 - whack it with the plural fish for the te7/32 :)
Pirate theme today?
Yo ho ho! :)
TSM: euh....didn't get it..
Torgone said last night that there was a Babble Naked Friday.
11 words to go, Anj !!!! :D
Anj, I don't happen to have that te5, but thanks for the clues. I'll keep working on it.
te7/32 - a triplet of verses / lines of music. Rhymes with bracelet
and really bad eggs.....anj is the cleverest of pirates - clever clues
Anj: yeah! Got them! I had tried the second te6/21 but it wouldn't accept it....uncanny phenomenon...lol
allstart, Naked Friday is becoming a tradition, along with Skimpy Saturday. Now and then we theme our icons. I'm normally a fractal, but the girls get a 'woot!' out of the Depp man so....
Got it! Thanks!!
TSM: you don't like my beautiful work of art? lol!
last night, Jacula and Mamabear got George Clooney icons just for me! It was soooo funny !!! :D

ti 6/18. The person who does the ti 4 word above it.

hey faeirie !!!!!!!!!!
HI Faeriekae! Anj: what's the theme for today?
Hello Faerikae!

Sherry, think topical - if the gendarmerie have wandered into certain parts of Paris recently they've been getting a hostile re........ion - lose the particle bit :)
sherry: accueil (is that the right word?)
