Helenary - you don't need to do that. My 2 kids often tell me I need 'a shrink'. Bear in mind that my daughter (who spent over 2 years in a psychiatic ward, might know that) and who knows, after all that crap she may well be right, after all, the first thing they tell the kid to do is 'BLAME MOM!' Not meant nastily to you, but it is true, and I'm sure you know that.

Lotti - Yes, am baking today. Have 3 lots of cookie dough in the fridge. One is a well tried and tested chop chip cookie one. The other two I kind of invented as I went along, a chocolate version of the choc chip one and also a peanut and white choc and Bailey' Irish Cream version of that.
Snow is great to look at, but I hate the mess and inconvenience of it all. Children just see the good side of it - and why not?!

A Psychologis is not a medico but comes from other disciplines like Social Work or the Arts etc etc. They say that one treats more everyday normal issues like relationships/depression etc etc, and the other more chronic problems that may require medication or more intense intervention. Not all psychiatrists do psychotherapy. Psychologists do not prescribe. Hope that helps a bit. Its a question always asked.

I'm not that far north. For Canada, during the winter, that is warm. Southern Ontario is the most southerly point in Canada. Our capital, Ottawa is about 3 hours away (2 hours the way I drive) and they average 10 degrees colder than we do.

As for the rest of Canada, damn. My brother-in-law did a stint at Cold Lake Alberta. Had to plug his car in when he went into a store to shop. Or it wouldn't start. All the parking meters had electrical outlets on them. Not for me. No way.

I use someone elses program that solves the puzzle and generates a list of words. Then I use my own program to analyze the list and produce the stat lists. And yes, I could use the word list to just type in the words. And yes I do see one or two words while I'm cutting and pasting. But I usually forget them in all the tom-foolery that follows. Until I find them in the puzzle that is.

It's a solver for square puzzles in general. But it doesn't work perfectly. It gets right upset when a QU and a U are side by side, it doesn't recognize the word STENT, and a few others. So I have to watch it carefully.

Chris - if U really want to change your icon, you could do what I do... Go into google images, type in whatever image U want to search for, then keep looking until U find a suitable one, then save the image to your PC's hard drive. Then go back to Babble, click on "My Profile" in the top right hand corner, then click on "edit" underneath your icon, then click on "browse", then upload your icon and Bob should (hopefully) be your uncle...

It took me quite a few weeks to actually complete a grid. You build up experience and begin to remember words - it is never easy but it does get better. Just enjoy!

Thats why I'm so grateful to have them Trotters. I always think they must hate us! Having said that they are fantastic with the children when they see them and I stay away as much as I can so they get concentrated child time. Actually, it's bad manners to have a bird feeder if you live in bear country. Not to mention a good way to lose your bird feeder. We're always getting public service announcements, don't feed your pets outdoors, pick the apples off your trees, etc. This minimizes the chance that a bear trying to "bulk up" will ge used to human-offered food.
