she's a rebel and she'll never ever be any good... she's a rebel and she never ever does what she should

12:14 am

12:14 am

gw- are you saying that you have h 7/32 or are you asking for it?

12:15 am

Morning dear gang!

12:15 am

Nite babbler *scratch behind ears*, sleep well

12:15 am

12:15 am

12:15 am

G'nite again, ren nava - got it

12:15 am

good nite babbler

12:15 am

Hi sprite and spatial!

12:16 am

~:o)

12:16 am

Hi Sprite!!!

12:16 am

There is NOTHING Christmassey on 1st disc - even that bloody Gloria Gaynor track, the 'I will SURVIVE' on is on there. I can only think the first cd is meant to get drunken folk of all ages up on the dance floor? 2nd disc, which we get next Sunday, looks more promising...

12:16 am

oops - meant G'nite to Babbler -- your dogs are very similar to this sleep depped woulf!

12:17 am

wait gw - babbler's the little blonde - i'm the big blonde puppster

12:17 am

It was free. Got what you paid for I think. Personally, I consider it better than all those nauseating things we are hearing now. It wouldn't be so bad if the selection wasn't so dratted limited..........

12:17 am

q7/40

12:18 am

Sweet, manageble grid :)

12:18 am

sprite - how have you been? missed you the past couple :)

12:19 am

Do all blonds look alike to GW?

12:19 am

Lol Woulf, that's sweet of you. I have been working and had to postpone babble till after working hours. But that happens every week on my working days, so don't worry ;)

12:20 am

Only when I'm tired -- truth be told I prefer darker hair...

12:20 am

I'm a brunette, so dunno! LOL.

12:21 am

Jacula, you look like a deep blackhaired lady to me ;)

12:21 am

Me too Jac....

12:21 am

reight now i'm blonde, red, and orange - i like diversity

12:21 am

Got 'The Twist' on my CD now - Chubby Chekker version. C'mon you lot, DANCE! I was twisting champion of my school in the 1960s!

12:22 am

come on baby - ket's do the twist

12:23 am

Hi everyone :) Jac did all the workmen get away safely yesterday or is ther one or two frozen over in the hole????? Lol

12:23 am

just make sure when you twist right down, you can get back up again. LOL. Dancing in the Street, Martha & The Vandellas is on now. Keep dancing!

12:24 am

*jumps in with Jac and renfield to twist*

12:24 am

Hi lotti!

12:25 am

Hey Sprite....you lost the banana then!!!! No Torgone yesterday :(

12:25 am

But, when it comes right down to it, physical attributes any kind are only meaningful if you are only looking. :) I have gotten in trouble in the past because I was so caught up in the personality of the person I was with, that I had no clue what colour her hair or eyes were! :D

12:25 am

Hiya Lotti! Yes, I let him get away this time. Mind you, if he stasrts again in a couple of hours it may be a different story. 'Brothers Grimm' eat your hearts out! LOL.

12:26 am

R8/50 is probably already been mentioned, but isn't it funny how this word comes back so soon?

12:26 am

Errr.... R8/45 I mean. Still not totally awake.

12:26 am

God help them today then!!!

12:26 am

(*joins group on the dance floor*)

12:27 am

good statement gw - 8)

12:27 am

*hands sprite mug of coffee*

12:27 am

Heya lotti!!! (((xxXXxx)))

12:27 am

Thx, ren :)

12:28 am

Thanks for the coffee! Where is Mamabear? There is a naughty H5 she would like to find.

12:28 am

Rescue Me is on now!

12:29 am

And the h7/32 is that much nicer..........

12:29 am

AARGH! Now that bloody Gloria Gaynor thing's on. Skips track...

12:29 am

rescue me - take me in your arms

12:29 am

sprite - unfortunately Mama had to turn in early

12:29 am

Mamabear called it an early nite, sore neck and work tomorrow....

12:30 am

Hiya Babe, where`d you come from???? I sulked all day cos you weren`t here!!!! Have you had a good thanksgiving?? *squeezes Torgone soooo tight* ((((((((xxxXXXxxx)))))))

12:30 am

Ah, well, then we will have to become H7 without her. Too bad, it is always fun in her jacuzzi :) Hope she will feel better soon.

12:30 am

Oh:-( Next track is one my Mu would like, Tom Jones, She's A Lady.

12:30 am

*giggles even harder, falls out of bed * brandyjack you had to make me find that....

12:31 am

Jac wonders if she's the only one who has not even glanced at the grid yet, even after committing it to paper?

12:33 am

Jac - it's tough to DJ and word hunt at the same time ;)

12:33 am

Slept in this morning, and had chef and her boyfriend over. Between them and my other two, I cannot get on the computer sometimes. Anyway, It was a lovely day..

12:33 am

Oh Jacula I'm still on the dance floor with you....

12:34 am

popping in for a bit of this grid....

12:34 am

Aww good :) Did you get your card??

12:34 am

12:34 am

Hi Blaze :)

12:34 am

And there are a couple more nice ones. Him I have no use for, but her I do.......

12:35 am

Hi Blaze

12:35 am

Hi Blaze! I'm dancing too, looking the utter fool but not caring!

12:35 am

Schroeder - what would you like to dance to next? I see my other half has emptied a bottle of wine down the sink, since he was peed off at me for not getting him up on time. *Sigh*

12:36 am

BJ do you mean her in the top right corner?????

12:36 am

Yes, i do.

12:36 am

sorry gw - all us puppsters on the dance

12:37 am

12:37 am

Wolfie - you keep on 'Dad' dancing and I'll do 'embarrasing Mum' dancing. but what are we dancing TO now??

12:37 am

The fog has lifted here outside anyway

12:37 am

*gets Jacula a fresh bottle of wine* you pick dear I'll dance to anything....

12:37 am

'S ok

12:38 am

Jac - I think it's called the 'rhythm of the board' ;)

12:39 am

But I might have been talking about the s8/45. She is also in the top right corner.......

12:39 am

Schroeder - It's Deep Purple, Strange Kinda Woman, so you'll have to head-bang and hope it doesn't send you dizzy these days. Sorry! Was 1st cd I picked out. And thanks for the wine.

12:39 am

Thanks for the card, luv! ((XX))((XX))((XX))

12:39 am

Not that she would be mutually exclusive to being a s4/5...

12:40 am

C8/50-9/66 C7/44 N8/45 R7/28, R7/32 S8/45 T7/28, T7/32, T7/40 Nice biggies, probably most of them already mentioned

12:40 am

shro - how long has it been since you slam danced? shall we?

12:41 am

(*looks at sprite in awe*) If so no one has mentioned them :)

12:42 am

You`re welcome babe.....now as it`s puppy day do you wanna come and stroke mine??????

12:42 am

No prob Jacula, I can still head bang with the best of them...*to the mosh pit with renfield and Jac*

12:43 am

Don't b shy folks! Get into a tight circlr and head-bang. 'Paranoid' is next track up. Great track for this circle dance! Rest of room will have stopped trying to do whatever they do to it and will be watching us lot... Oh LOL. Back to my youth and all that!

12:43 am

I've never actually moshed.....

12:43 am

I love playing with puppies!!

12:44 am

*grabs GW and drags him in*

12:45 am

(*grabs at wine, gulps some down, then let's himself be dragged to his fate*)

12:45 am

Knew you would!!!! Sounds like BJ`s a similar kind of guy!!!

12:45 am

I must admit I didn't check the entire log, Woulf... too busy finding new ones ;) This is a nice grid! I like the E6/18 (for no other reason than that it is such a nice word to look at, so round and vowely in contrast to its meaning)

12:45 am

If you had long wild hair and wore leattherand studs in those days, people kinda stood back from you and watched in awe. ROFLOL. Next track up - Hendrix - Voodoo Chile. I hope you all know that one well enough to do to cool head bang to!

12:46 am

we're howling now

12:47 am

Torgone.....grab your towel babe, it`s shower time in 10 mins ;o)

12:47 am

No howling allowed yet, Renfield. Howling Wolf isn't playing yet! ROFLOL. Now shurrup and dance to Hendrix.

12:47 am

Voodoo Chile is one of the songs I like to listen to with headphones turned up REAL LOUD!

There's another N8/45 (Ne and Nu)

12:50 am

I'm ready for the shower, babe - IF you know what I mean . .

12:51 am

No, don't need anything Schroeder, except perhaps ex-hubs in right mood, who does know how to dance to this track.

12:51 am

Oh, sorry Paul!

12:52 am

Absolutely !!!!! Come on then ;)

12:53 am

C'mon Lotti, let' go for it then. Track now coming up is Mean Girl by The Quo.

12:55 am

Off to shower with Torgone when we`ve done Jac!!!!

12:56 am

*Lotti begins to slope off the dance floor*

12:57 am

Lotti! Eh? Is this something I've missed?? I mean, I saw the Anj & Lola thing a mile off before they even saw it but... what have I missed now? Dance has just finished. You two get off to the shower.... Oh, ROFLOL.

12:58 am

Okay back...next track Jacula

12:58 am

Nazareth's Bad, Bad Boy is playing now for anyone who stil wants to get down and dirty on the dance floor.

12:58 am

Ooops terrible spelling this morning!!! It`s the steam....

12:59 am

OOer! Lotti's icon is panting for sure! That's great! You go for it!

1:01 am

Ah!! (*does best not to look even more foolish than he already does, but follows Shroeder's lead fairly well*)

1:01 am

Chill out track on now... Sweet Home Alabama - LynSkyn.

1:02 am

we can take a breather and just nod to the music

1:02 am

Fastest one ever, I think. 145 words / 4.99 / 1925 points for today. Have fun chatting, all of you, and perhaps babbling too ;)

1:03 am

1:03 am

(*or is that immoral fortitude?*)

1:04 am

lightening sprite!

1:04 am

By the way, folks. Don't think I've told you lot this, but I have told my family. My fave track of all time is Lynyrd Skynryd's 'Freebird', LIVE VERSION. So, should I die unexpectedly, I expect to be sent out to that song.

1:04 am

Wow Sprite, great job

1:06 am

Don't worry Jacula, I will play it non-stop for you....and dance...

1:06 am

jacula - mines 8675309 - tommy tutone

1:07 am

i will to

1:07 am

Sprite. You have my great admiration. *SHAKES head*. I though I was a maestro of words, but you have me beate , and I bow down to you. However, song that could have been written for me is on the jukebox now...Blowing Free by Wishbone Ash.

1:09 am

Woulf: immoral, without doubt, today. E5/12, H5 and H7, R4/5 adn 5/12, S4 and T4/4... need I say more?

1:10 am

*blushes and helps Jacula up very fast* Thanks ;) Got to run, kids must go to school and it is pouring, so I think I'll be a sweet mom today. Have a great day/night/whatever to you all.

1:10 am

Well, then if it's in the board, we may as well revel in it!

1:11 am

Bye Sprite, have a great day!!!

1:11 am

Have a great day, sprite -- catch you tomorrow! (*hug*)

1:11 am

drive safe sprite -

1:13 am

I'm sure |I'll check back on this log for inspiration later,. but am just listening to music (my 1st love) right now and haven't even glanced at grid,. Parisienne|Walkways by Gary Moore right now. Listren to him LOUD in your headphones , but be sure to see him live. After Hendrix, he's the master.

1:14 am

'Bye for now Sprite. Enmjoy the day.

1:16 am

I've skipped Fanfare For The Common Man by ELP, and now we're on to Radar Love by Golden Earring. This IS a song my other half knows about. He should text me soon, I hope.

1:17 am

Jacula I'm sure he will...

1:18 am

Fanfare is a bit too long for right now, Jac tho I do love ELP -- Pirates is one of my favorite songs by them

1:19 am

Have to say that last band's singer was bloody sexy when I saw him back in 70s. He was sweating so much he flicked it onto all of us girls in front row. I said 'PHWOAR' then. Would prob. say 'YUCK!' now, but never mind! LOL.

1:21 am

(Was talking about Golden Earring there, btw. Ever so sorry for turning this into a music site. But it is my first love, then words...'

1:22 am

Wolfie - got Rocky Mountain by Joe Walsh on now - not a short track!

1:22 am

ok by me - when it's a song i know - i'll sing / dance along -

1:23 am

That's okay Jacula I'm the same way, time doesn't permit me to do both a lot. Listen to different types of music at the studio but only in measures of 8

1:23 am

Excellent - I need the boost to keep me up, eyes getting heavy...

1:24 am

I can't help my fascnation with watching guitarists play! How do you think I ended up married in the 1st place ? LOL.

1:24 am

*slides GW coffee drink*

1:25 am

*politely declines* coffee and I do not get along well tea on the other hand...

1:25 am

Wake up guys! Canned Heat On The Road Again now. LOL.

1:26 am

Atomic Rooster - Devil's Answer up next. Let's skip to that...

1:27 am

i'm on the raod again...

1:29 am

And, once that's got you bopping again, let's hear a really great track from Rod Stewart when he hid under the light that was Python Lee Jackson. Let's hear 'In A Broken Dream' - a truly great track, in my opinion...

1:31 am

we trust you - you are our cyber dj

1:32 am

OK, I have to go to bed -- my brain just froze on the def for the 1st he4 -- I won't be able to find much more until I get some rest I going to give it five more mins and then go to sleep (I am SUCH an addict) :D

1:34 am

GW you know 5 turns into 10 and then......

1:34 am

ok - sorry - 8)

1:35 am

Wolfie, you go to bed, luv. Try doing what I do and don't even look at the grid until you're in the right mood to do so. I'm in a music mood now. Rod's singing in my headphones and I want no more! LOL.

1:36 am

Which reminds me... is my greatest and only football idol of all time stilll with us? Oh Georgie! Why did ya do it? But bless you and keep you anyway.xxxxxxx

2:10 am

He's quite clever and ambitious from what I've seen.

2:15 am

Mother avert your eyes!!!!!! Are you hanging around Torgone, cos i`ll be back in approx 30 mins!??

2:16 am

See you later hun xxxx Ttfn everyone i`ll be back soon!!

2:34 am

Time for me to get organised for work .See you later .Keep singing Jacula,I`ve enjoyed it.Lovely morning so far.I hope the snow stays away.

2:50 am

Normal folks' waking up time now! Nearly 9am.

2:54 am

And as for Jacula? If she was the so-called 'Norm' she'd nevdr have been given her nickname, would she? She's fallen deep into a dark pit. Perhaps she should be left there. Life's chucked a lot at her, but the collapse (maybe) of her swan song at love... yea, well. It happens. Bye folks. Nice talking to all of you but I think I've made enough of a fool of myself now.

3:00 am

Incidentally, if you want to know what's on the juke box now, it's Glenn Miller's 'In The Mood', soon to be followed by Moonlight Serenade and American Patrol. Don't ask 'why', just listen and DANCE. (Properly!)

3:06 am

Jac..i am a shrink..need to talk??

3:11 am

Helenary - I don't know, Do I? Those songs have always got to m to make me talk, dance and cry since I was 3 or 4 year's-old. My parents just said I'd been 'born again too soon'. Maybe I am I nutter? H - mail me through the BabAnon ez-box if you want to talk to me privately. Wouldn't blame you if you didn't though! LOL.

3:12 am

how would I do that Jac?? i.e. email you..most happy to do so.

3:14 am

Helenary - through Babblers Anonymous. If you join up there you can private message me through the ez-box. Not even I am mad enough to post my e-mail address on the net for all to see.

3:14 am

I`m back Jac!!! Hi Helenary, hi Mica :) Jac`s been singing and dancing for hours !!!

3:16 am

Hiya Lotti. Don't think I' quite totally mad yetm but ther againm in today's terms maybe I am?

3:16 am

I agree..no posting emails! I will try and follow those instructions but not at all sure I will get there. I looked at BabAnon and got a bit stuck after that.

3:18 am

Lotti - is it possible you're old enough to just prance about on the dance floor to Glenn Miller Band's American Patrol?

3:18 am

Jac i don`t care how mad or not you are....you`re still a star to me and provide excellent entertainment!!!!! Have the village idiots started digging again yet????

3:20 am

Loti - Not as far as I know yet, love. But then I don't seem to know much, do I? And thanks for the stuff you said. That's the thing about humour, you see. The funniest humour is always the personal stuff.

3:21 am

Macadam loves Glenn Miller so yes i can prance about with you, but my jiving was never up to much!!!!

3:21 am

please!! nobody has used the word mad..thats a crazy thing to say!!

3:22 am

sorry I will butt out. All is well.

3:24 am

Lotti - my jiving in myhy head is absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately, it only sends its brilliance to my right side and not my left. So, not a great jiver either! Those I wish!

3:26 am

I wish i was good at it too, Macadam is brilliant at jiving. She`s jazz and big band mad too!!! She`s also crazy about " ol blue eyes" :)

3:27 am

Helenary - you don't need to do that. My 2 kids often tell me I need 'a shrink'. Bear in mind that my daughter (who spent over 2 years in a psychiatic ward, might know that) and who knows, after all that crap she may well be right, after all, the first thing they tell the kid to do is 'BLAME MOM!' Not meant nastily to you, but it is true, and I'm sure you know that.

3:33 am

don't be sour..mums have mums too and we all have shadows and stuff, and even shrinks have to deal with their stuff

3:34 am

Lotti - if someone was right in front of me right now, and it was you, you'd get one of those big blue Batchelor's soup furry arms hugs, you know?

3:35 am

Oh babe you`re wonderful (((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) ))

3:38 am

Helenary - I'm sorry, Didn't mean to be sour but, hey,in one breath you're offering to maybe counsel me nd when talk about rhw'Mum' thing, you suddenly get all uppity? I DO understand, believe it or not. We saw enough shrinks who had had enough and needed a hug themselves in the years |(not jusdt those 2 I mentioned) to know psychiatrists etc., are only human! Blinking heck, girl! I'm not a moron! Neither are you!

3:41 am

Can I text him now? Should I?

3:41 am

I feel a shit for sticking my neck out. Would love to talk to you but I have not joined BaAnon or whatever. I just come in and out of the game when i have a bit of time. I acutally enjoy all aspects of the game. I am not sure what to do to be more involved in the chat etc I will take any suggestions. You guys do have a lot of fun with it all and I enjoy the process.

3:42 am

No Jac make him sweat....... 69 will crack before you do !!!! ;)

3:42 am

Oh for F's sake! Can you lot all kepng a low profile please jsut get in here? It might make thing more normal!

3:43 am

We were too scared to say anything.... Good morning all!

3:43 am

In other words all the lurkers say hello!!!!

3:43 am

Okay, will do, for now, Lotti. How'sit going with you, btw?

3:44 am

Morning Haz, hows the weather in wonderful Ireland????

3:45 am

Jac i`d do better to find some words really!!! Are you baking today????

3:45 am

It's cold! A little snow but hopefully not too much. My sister-in-law is flying over to Edinburgh this evening to visit my daughter so we're keeping our fingers crossed for the weather.

3:46 am

Helenary - if you a a psychiatrist, you obviously have the intelligence needed to do the clicks to join BabAnon. Please join! You might find some fun there. Not everyone is nuts!

3:46 am

ce9/66 any clues please??

3:47 am

I will join..but I will do it but not tonight..its 8.45pm here and I am almost done for the night. I am an aussie.

3:47 am

It hasn`t got to us in West Yorkshire yet Haz, but my kids are desperate for it to snow!! My brother is in Fort William....i don`t know if he`s got it yet but i would assume he has :)

3:48 am

p.s a psychologist not a psychiatrist.

3:48 am

Helenary add an s to your ce8 :)

3:48 am

Lotti - Yes, am baking today. Have 3 lots of cookie dough in the fridge. One is a well tried and tested chop chip cookie one. The other two I kind of invented as I went along, a chocolate version of the choc chip one and also a peanut and white choc and Bailey' Irish Cream version of that.

3:48 am

Snow is great to look at, but I hate the mess and inconvenience of it all. Children just see the good side of it - and why not?!

3:49 am

Jacula - have you ever come across the recipe for Ritznuttorte? It's basically a meringue with nuts and Ritz biscuits and is yummy!

3:50 am

lotti..need help with ce8 too!! Ta

3:50 am

I know exactly what you mean! They`ve got their eye on the sledge tucked down the side of the garage :)

3:50 am

Snow is just great so long as you don't have to be somewhere or do something.

3:52 am

Haz - That does ring a bell. Would you care to put the recipe for it into BabAnon?

3:52 am

ce8/50 is a girdle or belt chiefly used in English as a dressmaking term :)

3:53 am

If I can work out how to do it, I certainly will. It's one of those foolproof recipes that is easy to make, tastes wonderful, can be frozen etc.

3:53 am

beautiful Lotti, got it. Thanks

3:54 am

are we on a dog theme today? hehehe

3:55 am

Helenary - may I ask what is the difference between the two?

3:56 am

Helenary you`re welcome :) Where in Oz are you?? I have some friends who have just gone home to Oz for 4 weeks he`s a rugby(or footie as you call it) player called Brad Drew :)

3:57 am

We are Mica... Jac i don`t like white choc, but the rest sounds dreamy!!! Haz yours sounds fab too :)

3:59 am

of coars..psychiatrist is first a medical doctor and then may train in psychotherapy leter. A Psychologis is not a medico but comes from other disciplines like Social Work or the Arts etc etc. They say that one treats more everyday normal issues like relationships/depression etc etc, and the other more chronic problems that may require medication or more intense intervention. Not all psychiatrists do psychotherapy. Psychologists do not prescribe. Hope that helps a bit. Its a question always asked.

4:00 am

Morning

6:01 am

I'm great! And you? No school today?

6:02 am

Thanks anyway, My eyes will not stay open so sometime tomorrow I will check the chat. Surely others are going to need help with these words! Good night.

6:02 am

Nope, biiig day off for the whole school :D

6:02 am

good night dalmation

6:02 am

Nite Dalmatians!

6:02 am

Cool Miya! Babbling day for you then.

6:04 am

Fmitch...thx for those...Hi Miy...my girls have the day off too....Have u got a Miyavi pic with a Puppy?

6:04 am

Yup yup :) Think I've got some relatives coming round at some point, so I'm cleaning too :/

6:05 am

Hey Tbear :) I'll whizz off and check...think there was one I saw once...*pootles off*

6:10 am

anyone got the ty7? if so, any chance of a clue?

6:12 am

Okay...looks like my computer doesn't want to let me google search...

6:14 am

Miya: try all the refresh, logout/login, disconnect/connect thingies.

6:14 am

The is no def for the ty7 but Alanis Morissette recently had a single that rymes with this word.

6:16 am

Good clue Fmitch! Lshult -- it builds off the ty4 if you have that

6:16 am

Don't worry...we'll imagine he's holding up a sweet Husky puppy, where his hand is.....By the way what yr real name,if one is allowed to ask?

6:18 am

*trying all the refresh, connect, disconnect, login/logout thingies* Nope, it's not budging...:/ weird...

6:19 am

Miya: reboot darling!

6:19 am

blah...I don't like my real name...it means 'pure'...which fits me about as much as a rottweiler suits the name 'tiny'...

6:20 am

Sherry, I don't dare to reboot! It only takes about seven hundred years to come back to life again :)

6:21 am

Don't worry,I'm not exactly the stereotypical Tracy either....When my mother choose it....cough..in 1960,she didn't know of another in te uk and Spencer tracy was the source..mind you my initials are TLC which is nice and i hope apt

6:22 am

Miya: too bad! sometimes it's the only way to get the pc back together. Don't you have a second name that your folks and friends could use if you don't like your real name? That's sorta what I do coz I feel my name is to heavy for me.

6:23 am

Tryiong to work out which name means PURE....Sherry want totellus the heavy one?

6:23 am

Wow! My initials are the rather unspectacular CAA...could have been worse though, I've got a friend who's initials are RC, which she hates :D I didn't get it until I sounded it out...R...C...

6:24 am

Miy...is it Chastity??

6:24 am

LOL my initials are CLG... sounds like a plumbing problem....

6:25 am

Tbear: yep! Elysabeth. It's nice but heavy! So people usually call me Betty and on screen I always go by the name I chose, Sherryngton (Sherry). Sherryngton Wiggins is actually my 'nom de plume'.

6:25 am

Fmitch- just got the ty7. thank god for www.allmusic.com would never have deciphered your clue without it!!

6:25 am

Ah, I get called all sorts of nicknames, Sherry! The weirdest ones bearing no relation to my name whatsoever :D Tbear, nope...it's Cathy :/

6:26 am

Miy...my boy cat(trouble) has just come in from the garden and melted snow and walked all over my white bed linen....black paw prints everywhere, bless his little cotton socks.....NOT

6:27 am

That's not bad Miy....k.d.lang real name is cathy I believe....and she's very cool

6:28 am

lol Tbear! Nice that you've got snow there, though...over here we've got an annoyingly cheery blue sky :/ Blimmin' freezing outside though.

6:28 am

Hello out there in babbleville. How goes the babble battle? It doesn't look too bad.

6:29 am

Hi Gramma!

6:29 am

Hello Gramma! We're still alive and in control of the engagement!

6:29 am

Afternoon/morning everyone

6:29 am

Thanks Tbear :) Thankfully, my friends just call me what they want... Hey Yoink :)

6:30 am

Afternoon Yoink!

6:30 am

Thank goodness someone's in control. I never have been.

6:30 am

Oops, and Hi to Gramma :)

6:30 am

I'll trade you Miy - would you rather have Cynthia? Hi Yoink!

6:30 am

Poos Mom....lol....Sherry know what you mean about Elizabeth...but Sherrynton is kinda fab. Hi gramma and Yoink

6:31 am

Believe it or not, Yoink is my real name :D

6:32 am

Poo's Mom, I sometimes get called that anyway! Teachers are never able to remember my real name, so I'm called anything...including Cynthia, Claire and Jenny!

6:32 am

Tbear: you're right but I chose it because I feel it and Sherry sounds nice. People who know me say it's like me. And it sounds like 'cherie'.

6:34 am

Gramma...if you get the chance pls read my post from 5.01...it was a great strt to the day (for me,at least)

6:35 am

Sherry,cherie...fab in the french sense, just don't add Blair!!

6:35 am

I hate to tell you this; but, Ive always liked my name. Sing along w/me..."for it was Mary, Mary long before the fashion changed....but in society, propriety they say Marie." It's just a good old name...nothing fancy..straight forward...actually, kinda like me.

6:36 am

Although, my family were talking about this the other day...if you had to choose a name for yourself, one to be called by for the rest of your life, what would it be?

6:37 am

Gramma...one of my favourite all time songs is Danny Wilson..'When i was marys prayer' it's so emotive...gunna put it on...lol

6:37 am

tbear, you're a riggin'!

6:38 am

Tbear: ah, je vois! lol! Why isn't there any hunk delivering the mail in my area??? *weeps*

6:38 am

too funny tbear... sounds like something i'd do LOL

6:39 am

Miya: well, obviously, Sherry(ngton). And you? What would you pick up?

6:41 am

SORRYgirls...he's all mine mine mine....apart from looking gorgeous and being hunky...when he spoke, there was an australian, new zealand or canadian twang....I melted like the snow this morning...guess who's gunna be out in her glad rag (will get rid of the dressing gown) tomorrow from 7.30...cleaning her windows...with any luck he'll walk under the ladder and his bad luck will be my good fortune....YEAH.... I feel SO much better today.....he he

6:43 am

*pout* she's not going to share!

6:43 am

hello evryone...just popped in for 5 mins before lunch !...reading your names posts....I think 'Miya' is rather nice !!

6:44 am

6:46 am

Hey Karys :) And thanks...being called Miyavi, Miy or Miya I really like, since I'm effectively being named after my favourite singer :D Though that name doesn't really fit me either...'Miya' means 'elegant'...

6:47 am

6:47 am

Ps please don't give me a name today...wait til I've settled down a bit...LOL

Oh no Gramma! I was so happy to find mine weren't frozen...

7:26 am

dunno if this is applicable anywhere but the US, but since its black friday today, this might be useful to some o you! http:// www.blackfriday.gottadeal.com/

7:26 am

Tbear: C'mon!!!! You've got to believe in yourselves people! lol! Chinese is not bad either.

7:28 am

What's black friday? I can't get a connection to the site anyway...

7:29 am

tateba shakuyaku, suwareba botan, aruku sugata wa yuri no... doku no hana. Since we're speaking in foreign languages...

7:29 am

Je parle francais quand il est necessaire o quand j'ai bouve (?) beaucoup du vin, ginevra(?)o champagne....

7:30 am

in the US, the day after thanksgiving is called black friday -- all the stores open super-early and have insane sales for the holiday season... its called black friday because retailers finally get out of the red + into the black (the margin of profit)

7:31 am

Miya: you'll have to translate that bit. I spoke Japanese but only in another life! lol! Tbear: quand j'ai bu. lol!

7:32 am

Got it Evanadine!

7:32 am

evanadine.....and just before xmas...that's gr8. In the uk you'd have to call it Black Everyday...there are permenant sales as the economy is grim.

Quelques fois je me demande si je suis vraiment n'importe quel bon à ce jeu

7:32 am

thx Sherry...verb ending in French never my forte..

7:33 am

It was a proverb describing beauty...it translates as "If you sit, you are a peony, if you stand, you are a tree peony, then you the walking is a lily flower...a poisonous flower"

7:34 am

its always crazy though. people just SWARM the stores. it looks like a war zone!

7:35 am

Not bad TSM! any good is hard to translate though, I'd say: je ne sais pas si je vaux grand-chose a ce jeu. Tbear: French conjugation is HORRIBLE. I had to check the ending for 'vaux'.

7:36 am

michishirube nante iranai kara, metsumutta mama isshoni arukou One of my favourite things to say :)

7:36 am

Evanadine: I'd stay home. Or put on a helmet. Miya: that's a beautiful one.

7:37 am

evandine, at least your "war zone " is bomb free, but maybe not gun free.

7:37 am

Thanks Sherry :)

7:37 am

Hi Roncook!

7:37 am

Miya: how does the second one translates?

7:38 am

Miy...that's fab...I have a tree peony and never sit always stand/move..I love the paper one day flowers and the beautiful pods and large black seeds.....god I do go on. Gunna have to go out tomorrow before I implode with companyloss...Translate that next one then..

7:38 am

"I really don't need a guide, so with eyes closed, let's walk together"

7:39 am

Miya: oooooooooooooh. Mystical!

7:39 am

Ron love yr icon.....are we related,Cooks in Bristol??

7:39 am

bonjour sherry ca va

7:40 am

M_Fan - I tried to do a translator just for you but it didnt work! :( What language (s) do you speak?

¡Aquí está un pedazo de un poema para usted! "Si todo el mundo fuera hecho del cristal mi corazón corrimiento inmóvil para usted"

7:53 am

Toesock...gr8 but some funny things coming up amongst the word hun

7:53 am

Toes, thanks for trying :) I only really speak English, but I pick up a lot of Japanese from songs :) A lot of online translators don't work because they don't accept romanized Japanese script, just the characters :/

7:57 am

Here is, a piece of a poem for you,'if all the world was made of glass,my heart would run.....(not sure, weird things) to you. Must be an old poem cos they are using usted which is the polite form of you...thx TSM...to sleep or not to sleep....TO SLEEP

8:00 am

Happy Friday everybody! I hope all my fellow Americans had a good Thanksgiving!

8:00 am

Hey Jen :) Happy Friday to you to!

8:05 am

I can speak every language, but Greek...... unfortunately it's all Greek to me....

With the language thing - I tried.... the traslator isn't helping much for me... I am done! lol Just English for me now! ;)

8:12 am

You're done?! Nice one :)

Not done with the puzzle, just the language thing

But thank you very much M_Fan =o)

8:13 am

*blushing* oops...sorry :)

No it was my fault! I should have been more clear with what I was saying. See I can't even speak English well! lol ;)

8:17 am

*competing now* No, it's my fault! It's because I'm watching a Miyavi fan vid...my brain has turned to mush :D

8:18 am

Actually, it's my fault. I don't know how, but I'll take the blame. :)

8:19 am

Fine...we'll blame the fan video. It's the video's fault my brain turned to mush...so there! Blimmin' good fan vid though...

Jen! ROFL! That is the best thing I heard all day! LOL

8:20 am

Peace and calm...hello all.

8:21 am

Okay...just to make myself feel better, I'm going to put the link for the video up :D It just makes me laugh too much. MYV at his weirdest :D http://www.youtube.com/?v= Q_yrUIkWoeg

8:21 am

Ooh...hi, Artlady :)

8:22 am

The song Pretty fly (for a white guy) is going to be stuck in my head forever now, though...

artlady - i see you are also from the chicago area :) chilly today, no?

8:25 am

Miyavi...at least this one I can understand (the song). My streaming is really slow today, tho.

LOL! M_Fan! Sorry... not the best song to have stuck in your head....

8:26 am

hi all

8:26 am

Good Morning All: No work today and NO shopping so I am able to babble..:)

8:27 am

TSM, I'm located in the NW burbs. Yes, it is MIGHTY cold today! I'm staying inside where it's warm!

8:28 am

definitely not the best song to have in my head! Although...I obviously don't learn, since there's another fan vid by the same person with I'm Too Sexy for my Shirt in the background...*sighs*

8:28 am

'mornin' bubbles and speed!

8:28 am

Ooh...hey Speed! :) How are you?

8:28 am

What's the temp in Chicago? It's hovering around 28 here in DC.

8:29 am

hi artlady

artlady - SW burbs here. 40 mins drive to the center of the city.

8:30 am

Hi Miya and Art Lady and all other babblers: Running in low 30's right now but they say by Tues. we could hit 60 love New England

artlady - it sure is a perfect day for hot chocolate and a fireplace!

8:31 am

60 here in Wyoming today, 50 tomorrow and then into the freezer the next several days in the high 20's. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

8:31 am

Brrrr...don't know what the temp is in farenheit but it's below freezing here...

8:32 am

And morning all. I"m not awake yet. :-P

8:32 am

12 here in southern Ontario.

It's 16 degrees here today :)

I think I heard a high of 25 degrees F.

8:33 am

Hi guys still no snow here!!!

Oh Jack! *gives him a blanket fresh out of the drier so it's nice and warm* Don't go outside!

8:34 am

Yuck! You guys have me beat. I did the cold weather thing in Nebraska for 3 years, so 30s is fine with me!

8:34 am

Good morning all. I've got 19.9 degrees here in Iowa...

8:34 am

Hey Lotti :) No snow here either

8:34 am

In a month it'll be averageing -20 during the day.

8:35 am

Good morning, Babblers! Miss me?

8:35 am

'mornin' Darleen, brandy, all the rest. Yes, a lovely 15 up here in the 'burbs." My always-cold daughter plans to go shopping...at an outdoor mall today. Ha! Of course, she'll be dressed fashionably...and freeze!

8:36 am

brandy, I didn't realize you were that far north. That is COLD!

8:36 am

Hey Miyavi.....aren`t you doing the pup thing today??? My hubby was turned round by the police just outside Cornwall this morning..They shut the road down the snow was so bad!!!

8:36 am

Nonny, where in Iowa are you?

8:37 am

Lotti, my google's frozen! And I feel really bad, since everyone did j-rock for me yesterday :(

8:37 am

Hi Scouts :) BJ I hope you`re going easy on that su8/45 sl4/5 !!!!!

8:38 am

I'm not that far north. For Canada, during the winter, that is warm. Southern Ontario is the most southerly point in Canada. Our capital, Ottawa is about 3 hours away (2 hours the way I drive) and they average 10 degrees colder than we do.

8:38 am

Lotti, your dog will be able to handle the snow and cold! ;-)

8:38 am

need help with te 7/ 28, please

8:38 am

Believe it or not, but I'm in the hilly part of Iowa. Dubuque. Have you heard of it?

8:38 am

Oh well not to worry eh!!! Nonny we can nearly get you from the grid today!!! :)

8:38 am

nonny, nice area. I just attended a conference not far from you in Galena.

You know, I like to be fashionable as well... When it's cold I dress to be warm though and I don't care if I look like a puff ball! I rather be warm and puffy lol

8:39 am

Glad to hear it ToeSock. Perhaps when my daughter hits your age she'll have realized that! Actually, she's fairly sensible for 18.

8:39 am

I hope so Artlady!! Thats why i chose him.....isn`t he gorgeous :)

8:39 am

Yup, sure have! I lived in Omaha for a little over 3 years, so we explored a lot of Iowa.

8:40 am

As for the rest of Canada, damn. My brother-in-law did a stint at Cold Lake Alberta. Had to plug his car in when he went into a store to shop. Or it wouldn't start. All the parking meters had electrical outlets on them. Not for me. No way.

8:40 am

any clueas for the te7/28 please

8:41 am

Brandy, my knowledge of Ontario is more over near Thunder Bay...but only during the summer...

8:41 am

Isn't Galena lovely? The Chicago people love coming for the weekend. Dubuque is growing into quite the little town. Five colleges, Dog Track, Casino.....woo, woo. Big time.....

8:41 am

Nonny--just read that you're from DBQ--lived there for 4 years when I went to college

8:41 am

Wow! Dubuque is hitting the big time! My husband and I visited once many moons ago and it was pretty quiet. So was Galena then (early 80's), just about dead. Things have really turned around economy-wise there.

8:42 am

ruff !! : D

8:42 am

Which college?

8:43 am

te 7 clue: nickname for shoes that are worn to play the sport with racket/net/

8:43 am

graduated from Clarke many moons ago

8:44 am

Hi pat, and a fellow teacher in the arts, I see. Hello!

8:44 am

thanks, patact!!! *smack*

8:45 am

Drats! Last.fm is down for maintenance...no music...

8:45 am

Hi Babs how you doing???

8:45 am

Good morning Babbler! It's luverly to see you on this brisk (read: FREEZING) morning!

8:45 am

afternoon

8:46 am

I was probably here then since we've been here forever! When we moved here this town was the smallest I'd lived in---coming from Davenport (Quad Cities) area and b/4 that Grand Rapids, Michigan...

8:46 am

Hi art lady! where/what do you teach?

8:46 am

: D *wags tail furiously in sheer delight of seeing her buddies* *begs for a cuddle* : D

8:47 am

Well, Lotti, there is a nice ho5/14 in here too. This is such a nice puzzle.........

8:47 am

is it another rude grid today? artlady, was it you who hasn't had heating lately? Do you have heating today?

8:47 am

ta,patact-got it

8:48 am

Not me with the heat...I think it was Jen

8:48 am

Hey Babbler! :) (sorry...bit late)

8:48 am

pat, I teach art in the northern 'burbs.

8:48 am

I wouldn't consider it rude, but definitely highly suggestive......

8:49 am

I teach in District U46

8:49 am

ok, you 2, now I have to get going on this puzzle to find the "highly suggestive" taint!

8:49 am

Hiya Miya!!! HI Lottie, Artlady, BJ, Toes, Scouts, Jen ...... : D

8:50 am

I thought you might, pat. That's a HUGE district! We had a couple of ISBE/IAAE arts conferences at Larkin a few years ago...when they still had the great arts program there.

8:50 am

.......whoops, and hi Brandyjack! lol : )

8:51 am

e5/12, h7/32, h5/16, h5/14, s4/5, s8/45 and q5/16 although that once is mildy rude. And that's with only 70 words found......

8:51 am

Yes, HUGE district with less importance placed on arts by admin. and students. Tough to get kids out for extracurricular these days.

8:52 am

hi guys any help on the ne 8/45 & nu 8/45

8:53 am

School run.....back soon :)

8:54 am

ne 8/45 a star-trek-ish work. beginning is like part of atom other than proton or electron...

8:55 am

oops, meant word not work

8:55 am

can i get some assistance with either of the lu 6/21?

8:56 am

Well I must be in holiday mode since I am doing lousy on this puzzle

8:56 am

hurshy a bad spelling loon plural ?

8:57 am

thanks roncook!

8:58 am

nu 8 - something your body needs lots of - vegetables are full of them - real word that you'd know

8:59 am

Actually hurshy, I think all foods are considered part of the nu8/45, even (or especially) carbs and proteins.

8:59 am

how about the ni 5/12 other than more ni4?

8:59 am

does brandy jack do the puzzle to get the answers? how are the answers known so early? are the words found in a digital way or does someone actually do the puzzle?

8:59 am

ta for the nu trouble with the trekkie word

9:00 am

yeah, i think you're right brandyjack, i just said vegetables because they make people think of healthy things and stuff

9:00 am

oh. i didn't know you were here, brandyjack.

9:00 am

ni 5/12 aunties daughter

9:01 am

roncook - start with switzerland's political position (first 5 letters) and add flintstone's pet's name minus first letter

9:01 am

doh! fish please! and thanks!

9:02 am

thanks, hurshy!

9:02 am

wonderful clue Hurshy!!!!!!

9:02 am

I'm aff for a while to work off some of yesterday's meal at the gym. TTFN! :)

9:02 am

I use someone elses program that solves the puzzle and generates a list of words. Then I use my own program to analyze the list and produce the stat lists. And yes, I could use the word list to just type in the words. And yes I do see one or two words while I'm cutting and pasting. But I usually forget them in all the tom-foolery that follows. Until I find them in the puzzle that is.

9:03 am

Aargh! I'm suffering from molasses computer today. As in...slow as molasses in January!

9:03 am

hi all good morning!

9:04 am

second no5?

9:04 am

oh, thank you. i've wondered that for a while. glad you were here to answer.

9:04 am

Ahhh, Brandyjack. I've been wondering how you did it. Someone actually wrote a program to solve this? Or is it a general word-puzzle solving program?

9:05 am

oops still having flashbacks from Japanese Rock day (whew it was a crazy night ... wasabhi!!!)

9:05 am

For the nu, think of the a-bomb that kills people and leaves the buildings intact. These particles take 56 light-years thickness of lead to slow them down.

9:05 am

wonderful clue, hurshy! (had to google flintstones pet, but I got there..... : D .. )

Good morning all, Hurshy your flinstone clue is that for the nu8 or the ne8 I got the nu8 having trouble with the ne8

9:05 am

hello all...i'm guessing i shosuld change to a dog huh?

9:05 am

hurshy, be careful. Babbler said it was dog day and you are...well...traditional bait for a dog!

9:05 am

no5 Combination of nine instruments or voices

9:06 am

9:06 am

Ok, off to visit with mum and her dog (whose pic you see in my icon). TTTL! Have a wonderful day, all.

9:06 am

It's a solver for square puzzles in general. But it doesn't work perfectly. It gets right upset when a QU and a U are side by side, it doesn't recognize the word STENT, and a few others. So I have to watch it carefully.

9:06 am

thanks une!

9:06 am

marc - flintstone clue is ne8

9:09 am

9:18 am

su8: very hot and humid; expressing or arousing desire

9:18 am

9:26 am

Anj day?

Guy I may be too old for this word. I think I have the beginning but how does it end after the 'why'

9:27 am

9:29 am

marc, are you still on su8?

9:30 am

Miya I had to look up fractals also, but found it very interesting!!

9:30 am

Thank God I wasn't the only one :)

9:31 am

ro6?

9:31 am

9:32 am

good morning all hope all you Americans out here had a good thanksgiving

9:32 am

Oooh, I meant to ask. On May 2nd (thinking ahead) it's the deathday of a very special person...I was wondering if, on that day, we could all put up pictures of Hide (from the band X Japan) for our icons? It would be a wonderful way to honour him

9:32 am

Do I have this straight.. today is dog day, Monday is Fractals.... and tomorrow is Brandy Jack's choice? What about Sunday??? I also think a BJ day is in order for all his hard work!

9:32 am

take ce4 (penny), insert vowel in the middle. then add su4 minus first letter.

9:32 am

ro6 - r + a pickling vegetable

9:32 am

11:30 am

Babbler we need the joke now..

11:32 am

Two bone weary public servants were working their little hearts and souls out. Their department was just too busy for staff to be able take flex. But there had to be a way... One of the two public servants suddenly lifted his head. "I know how to get some time off work" the man whispered. "How?" asked the second worker......................

11:32 am

Instead of answering, the man quickly looked around. No sign of his Director. He jumped up on his desk, kicked out a couple of ceiling tiles and hoisted himself up. "Look!" he hissed, then swinging his legs over a metal pipe, hung upside down. Within seconds, the Director emerged from the Branch Head's office at the far end of the floor. He saw the worker hanging from the ceiling, and asked him what on earth he thought he was doing. "I'm a light bulb" answered the public servant. "I think you need some time off," barked the Director. "Get out of here - that's an order - and I don't want to see you back here for at least another two days! You understand me?" "Yes sir", the public servant answered meekly, then jumped down, logged off his computer and left. The second worker was hot on his heels. "Where do you think you're going?" the boss asked. "Home," he said lightly. "I can't work in the dark."

12:03 pm

There once was a Red Indian whose given name was "Onestone". So named because he had only one testicle. He hated that name and asked everyone not to call him Onestone. After years and years of torment, Onestone finally cracked and said, "If anyone calls me Onestone again I will kill them! " The word got around and nobody called him that any more. Then one day a young woman named Blue Bird forgot and said, "Good morning, Onestone." He jumped up, grabbed her and took her deep into the forest where he made love to her all day and all night. He made love to her all the next day, until Blue Bird died from exhaustion. The word got around that Onestone meant what he promised he would do. Years went by and no one dared call him by his given name until a woman named Yellow Bird returned to the village after being away for many years......................

12:03 pm

...... Yellow Bird, who was Blue Bird's cousin, was overjoyed when she saw Onestone. She hugged him and said, "Good to see you, Onestone." Onestone grabbed her, took her deep into the forest, then he made love to her all day, made love to her all night, made love to her all the next day, made love to her all the next night, but Yellow Bird wouldn't die! ........................ .............

12:03 pm

BB- yes, I got it! TY

ne8...definition.....Any of three electrically neutral subatomic particles in the lepton family.

12:35 pm

12:46 pm

babbler- did you ever get the us5/18- i still trying

12:46 pm

*sulking because URLs is not a word*

12:47 pm

12:47 pm

us5/18...just use the two letters in one square and a vowel

12:48 pm

12:49 pm

ahaa! thx hydra ! : )

12:49 pm

12:51 pm

i've only just got them myself and now I'm going out on the p*** to a naughty knickers party. yes, really!

12:52 pm

Evening, morning, afternoon! Yoink - a question for you after reading parts of the log today - how did you get the name Yoink?

12:53 pm

lol hydra !!! have a good 'un : D

12:53 pm

babbler, the last ur word is an extinct wild ox. Think of the ancient place, -- of the Chaldees (dunno if I spelt it right), plus the last part of a famous toy company name.

12:53 pm

I yoinked it from the Simpsons, it's what they say whenever someone takes something. I've been using it for a couple of years on various internet thingies

12:53 pm

hi ho hum : )

12:54 pm

Before I go, anyone got a clue for that se7/32?

12:54 pm

Hi Babbler - love the puppy!

12:55 pm

LOL yoink!!!

12:55 pm

ruff ! :D *wags tail happily*

12:56 pm

I refuse to rub your tummy but here are some choc treats!

12:58 pm

Heck you puppy monster - heres another handful but make them last (yea right)!! LOL

12:59 pm

*scoffs all of them in one go!!* LOL !! :D

12:59 pm

1:00 pm

ch1212 - lu6 - think crazier....

1:00 pm

Babbler - I woz gonna go with Santa's Little Helper at first ('cos I had Snowball II coughing up a hairball a couple of days ago), but decided to use Ren instead...

1:02 pm

Greetings from the black and white side of the rainbow.

1:02 pm

Well, I'm off for a swim. Enjoy your evenings/afternoons everyone

1:02 pm

Thanks, Babbler -- I swear I tried that combo but obviously not ... (isn't that a symptom of going crazy? :-) )

1:02 pm

1:02 pm

C ya Yoink...b cool...

1:03 pm

Bye Yoink, TTFN

1:03 pm

1:03 pm

Hi Miy - didn't see you come in there!

1:04 pm

TOTO !!! I mean Mab..... hi Mab! : D

1:04 pm

Hey...I'm not that short :D

1:06 pm

That you are not Miy but with all these dogs and puppies etc it is hard to keep track ((x))

1:06 pm

Got distracted!

1:06 pm

Hehehe...I'll forgive you...this time :D How are you?

1:07 pm

Hi Babbler. Do you know (your greeting reminds me) that I've met people with dogs, and fussed so much over the dog that I never learned the person's name. I've done that several times. And people are so smitten with their pets that they don't mind at all taking a back seat to the creature, so it all works out.

1:08 pm

Fine ta, thanks Miy - see you had a day away from school today - woohoo!!!

1:08 pm

that's true mab : ) I've done it many a time too!

1:09 pm

Wasn't that a great j-rock day yesterday - I really must see if I can go pro so I can have ics too.

1:09 pm

Mab, I do that. There's a gorgeous golden retriever down my road, and when my family tried to write the owner a Christmas card, we realised none of us knew his name! The dog was called Bruno, and we ended up putting "Mr. Bruno" on the card!

1:10 pm

I want a Cairn Terrier (or Terrorist, as a friend of mine refers to terriers) terribly.

1:10 pm

It was a great j-rock day...only all the gorgey icons distracted me from the puzzle! *sighs*

1:12 pm

And I'm sure Bruno's master was truly enchanted. People are just that way -- I like it.

1:13 pm

He was, Mab :) He didn't stop laughing for about a million years

1:15 pm

Wahey, gotta go...food time :) See you all later maybe

1:15 pm

Hydra, I'm still looking for se 7/32 ... have you found yet? Anyone clue? Thanks!

1:16 pm

I see tomorrow's theme is Egyptian, may not be able to follow that but certainly appreciate brandyjack's stats

1:16 pm

se7/32 clue posted earlier (but I haven't got it yet): se7/32 - definition: an old man. So called in allusion to the hoary appearance of the pappus

1:17 pm

ch1212 - Try googling "a genus of widely distributed plants of the daisy family (Compositae) including some containing various alkaloids which are poisonous to livestock"

1:18 pm

Thanks, Babbler! I just returned from Roma and saw His Pappas :) so I should have figured it out!

1:18 pm

thx movieman!! : )

1:18 pm

ch1212 - start with the 3rd se4/4 and then add the Italian for bye but take out the 2nd vowel .

1:19 pm

te 6/ 18 at the bottom of the list, anyone pls?

1:20 pm

Thanks all, got the se 7 ... 2 left go, so anyone feeling overly magnanimous with en5/12 or ni6/21? Please and thanks in advance!

1:21 pm

ni6 - plural ni5 (if that's the right one??)

1:21 pm

Babbler....just say yes

1:21 pm

Babbler, on te 6/18 -- think about the Syndrome that causes people to twitch and shout out (often) swear words ... the word sounds like that.

1:22 pm

ch1212 - this one caught me and is definately fish worthy. Walk into a room and you en*** through a doorway.

1:22 pm

rats wrong word sorry

1:22 pm

thx ch1212 : D

1:23 pm

Feariekae-just read your profile. If you like pretty fairy art I know a lot of websites! One of my friends actually is an AMAZING artist. Take a peek at www.tarnishedimages.com her name in Ruth Thompson. I am sure you have seen her stuff around!

2:08 pm

you're friends with Ruth THompson? OOOOOOO her work is amazing!

or anyone who likes art go there for that matter... babbler you might like it too :)

2:08 pm

sam I have 78 words yet to find. the ce9 is a plural of ce8. It is french for belt. If you go to google, go to french dictionary, type in belt in English to French box, you will see the word.

2:09 pm

TSM thanks for web address I'll certainly look it up also you should look at "thefaereigathering.com" there is a faerie done in my image there. Lisa Stinke is the artist and she is a very dear friend of mine

Yeah I made a costume for her 2 years ago for the renaissance faire that she had her very first art shop at! :) we dont talk much but I have TONS of her art. I even modeled for some on her art. GREAT lady!

faerie - thank you I will be doing so :)

2:09 pm

faerie - just seen your new icon...and all I've got 2 say is... "Hong Kong Phooey, number one super-guy" "Hong Kong Phooey, quicker than the human eye"

2:10 pm

I *love* her work! I was actually looking at her site the other day ...

2:10 pm

2:22 pm

Any of three electrically neutral subatomic ions in the lepton family. Ne8

2:23 pm

hi all. how is everyone on this "dog day afternoon" :)

2:23 pm

Hi Cathy, I seem to be very slow today........ or it's a tough grid........... : /

2:23 pm

Cathy - I'm absolutely fine...how 'bout U?

2:24 pm

if your the smallest one in the bunch your the ru**

2:24 pm

Hi Cathy -- we're thinking faeries.

2:26 pm

There do seem to be a few obscure words here today. I'm having to use some extra assistance myself :) So are the faeries for tomorrow?

2:26 pm

*waving Hi to all*

2:26 pm

*waves to circe*

2:26 pm

Does anyone have a clue for the ci6/30 & ci7/44???

*also waves*

2:26 pm

*waving back to circe*

2:26 pm

Sprinkling everyone with faerie dust as I "really" sign off for now. Mas has to go pottie

2:26 pm

hi circe *wave*

2:27 pm

no Cathy - tomorrow is Brandyjack Appreciation Day, and he wants Egyptian ! (all in my biog) : )

2:27 pm

faerie day too? I am starting to get into this! :)

2:27 pm

Hi, Chris P...are U aware we're having a doggy/puppy theme with our icons 2day...?

2:27 pm

Chris P - it's French for circle - think of the circus troupe ci***** de soleil

2:28 pm

chris p : ci**** du soleil. and plural

2:28 pm

I need help with se5/10 and te 7/28

2:29 pm

still can't find ru5/14........... and tummy's rumbling... :/

2:29 pm

The only ru 5 I have is 16 - presumably not that one?

2:30 pm

Thanks all for the ci clues. As I'm a techno moron(!) and only just managed to get my own picture in - you've got no chance of me changing my icon!!

2:30 pm

any clues on the qu7/40

2:30 pm

e-gurl - someone asking a question

2:31 pm

ru5/14 - if you don't walk you ru* t**, tac, toe

2:31 pm

judie - te7/28 - oneies, twoies, threeies..... all the way up to te***** (double consonant in middle)

2:32 pm

ru sounds like a type of clothing usually a top

2:32 pm

kristin ! MWAH!! I can eat............... *slumps* see you guys shortly... : D

2:34 pm

thank you Babbler

Kristin! Thanks!

2:35 pm

Chris - if U really want to change your icon, you could do what I do... Go into google images, type in whatever image U want to search for, then keep looking until U find a suitable one, then save the image to your PC's hard drive. Then go back to Babble, click on "My Profile" in the top right hand corner, then click on "edit" underneath your icon, then click on "browse", then upload your icon and Bob should (hopefully) be your uncle...

2:35 pm

babbler lost?

2:36 pm

Thanks movieman - will try it some time, but not today as I'm short of babble time!!

2:38 pm

Movieman ... and tomorrow is Egyptian day.

FMitch, your ahead of the game! :) Great icon!

2:39 pm

Ive been practising as I had problems changing it and now am off for the night - see you all on the morrow.

2:40 pm

babble.. did you get ru yet

2:40 pm

Have lovely evening Fmitch.

2:42 pm

Judirae - she did get it and was heading to eat. The clue helped me as well, so thank you. It also gave me a tu 5

2:44 pm

Haz1 I need a 5 se/10

Well guess what! I found a whole 33 words! lol

2:45 pm

I forgot one of the best fairy art sites - http://www.enchanted-art.com/ - Jessica Galbraith is an *amazing* artist!

2:46 pm

judi - I haven't got it yet myself but will keep looking and wave when I've found it.

2:46 pm

That was fast, Toes.

later FMitch! Judie-yes she did and she went for a bite to eat :)

2:47 pm

yes thx judi! (just eating.....) got the link atalante.......... : )

Atalante - Wonderful! Thank you! Another to look at as soon as I get home! You know my whole home is decorated in the medieval/renaissance theme but I have a fairy garden guest bedroom and bathroom :) Art EVERYWHERE! lol

2:50 pm

se 5/10 - a type of finch. To the se add the first three letters of a piece of jewellery worn on the finger.

Theres the cute little puppy now! *snuggles Babbler* Good! Eat something! Poor thing...

2:50 pm

Fairy art kind of edges onto my own art interests - I don't think I could draw a fairy to save my life but I love looking at the sites and getting some inspiration from them! There's a few more I'll copy in here tomorrow, because their site is down at the moment

2:51 pm

Atalante - is that a golden cocker spaniel puppy?

2:52 pm

of a strange, muddy and grumpy-looking sort :)

2:52 pm

Still beautiful!

2:53 pm

Help needed for a newish player. Any clues for the ce9

2:54 pm

he was :) my poor little boy ... its a cocker we used to have until he was run over 2 years ago *sniff* The poor boy was brain-damaged at birth and never really managed to learn any sense, let alone road sense ... but he had a happy little life while he was here!

Alright I am done here at work. Now to drive home! I will update my icon for tomorrow then... I have the perfect picture... and i have lots of websites to visit ;)

2:55 pm

I'm wondering what other "outside help" babblers use besides a2z? thanks!

2:55 pm

That's sad - the log seems to have its fair share of doggy disasters this evening.

You know... I could get you a signed piece from ruth... i have like 10 not even hanging up!

ok byeeeee

2:56 pm

Babs1 - google is useful if you have a definition.

2:56 pm

I have that one Hazl... there is one more

2:58 pm

Thanks, Haz...I'm just wondering how so many of you babblers actually complete these grids...

3:00 pm

signed pieces from Ruth? You lucky lucky person!!!!

3:01 pm

It took me quite a few weeks to actually complete a grid. You build up experience and begin to remember words - it is never easy but it does get better. Just enjoy!

3:02 pm

It's also a big help to have Brandyjack's stats from Babblers Anonymous, because you then have a better idea of what you are looking for.

Can anyone help me with the te 7/28? P p p p lease? Thanks! ~:o)

3:04 pm

Thanks, Haz...I do refer to the stats list..just don't want to spend toooo much time babbling compared to the rest of my life!

3:05 pm

spatialbean - the te7/28 looks exactly like the game played on grass or clay courts, but there's an extra vowel inserted.

Bless you Haz!

3:07 pm

You're welcome.

3:12 pm

I NEED ANY HINTS YOU CAN GIVE ME PLEASE :)

3:14 pm

Are you a complete beginner or do you need help with specific words?

3:14 pm

Need help re: the re7/32...many, many thanx in advance...

3:15 pm

:( dont be mean i just need hints

3:17 pm

movieman - high school re***** (i'm watching grosse point blank - that's a big hint too!)

3:17 pm

Forbes, I wasn't being mean - quite the opposite. If you have played before you will know the basics. If you haven't then it is helpful to read the rules at the top of the page. Use the clues that people give, and if you need help with a specific word we will help. We will not just give words away as that takes the enjoyment out of the game.

3:18 pm

Thanx Babbler - just found it as U were posting...lol

3:19 pm

Finally found it!!! and finally finished Whew~~~

3:19 pm

hi forbes, welcome to the game! lots of hints in the chat log, just scroll down. Stats are in Babblers Anonymous, which is at the bottom of the list in Friends of Babble panel on the right of your screen. Go to General, then stats and you'll see them. Anything in particular you're stuck on, we're all happy to help!!! (except me right now cos I have to watch my John Cusack movie!! ) :D

3:19 pm

Hi all - a late start for me tonight, had 3 littlies to bathe & settle before I could start! Some v. cute icons today.

3:20 pm

3:23 pm

Forbes....are you not too happy today???

3:23 pm

Hi CATH!! Having trouble getting them settled tonight. They all cried when Rich went back today. Back in 6 days isn't much consolation when you're 3 & 5!

3:24 pm

ne8/45 clue please as well

3:25 pm

ne8-Any of three electrically neutral subatomic particles in the lepton family.

3:26 pm

3:26 pm

ne8- 1st 5 letters of Switzerlands political situation + Fred Flinstones pet- drop the 1st letter

3:26 pm

Forbes, is someone forcing you to be here? Shall I call the police for you?

3:27 pm

Lots of red eyes tonight! They'll be better tomorrow tho'. Just feel so sorry for him having to go back!

3:27 pm

thanks for the clues. Let's not feed the troll.

3:28 pm

3:29 pm

3:29 pm

3:33 pm

Thanks for the nu clues. Got it!

3:34 pm

any one got a clue for the us5/18 or tr 6/18?

3:35 pm

No a bichon frise.. "Molly" she is my grandaughter!!!! I babysit her quite often

3:35 pm

beebee: There was a Babblers Anonymous, I believe, but no one wanted to give up their addiction. They would all meet and then just start babbling!

3:36 pm

Hey everyone :) What's up?

3:36 pm

mab-lol

3:36 pm

I've had a very hard day at work in the NHS and then a small panic over my 11 month old granddaughter (oh! and mourning George Best). Now I'm babbling and watching "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here" at the same time" - pure escapism!

3:37 pm

Trotters, did you just see that gross trial? Sick!

3:37 pm

kristen- let miy give you the clue for the us5- she's how i got it

3:37 pm

I need one of the re 6/21's. I have "just happened" so I need the other one. Glad the troll got bored.

3:37 pm

Hi Miyavi - how are you tonight

3:37 pm

Help Miy - us5/18!!!

3:38 pm

I missed a troll??

3:38 pm

The us, the two letters on the same square, and then a vowel Anj :) Don't panic! Hey Cath :) I'm fine thanks, how are you?

3:38 pm

kristen do you have the re4/4- if so then add tr to the front- let me know

3:39 pm

ANJ?! DON'T PANIC ANJ?! It's the icon! I'm so sorry!

3:39 pm

Miy I would have stroked the baby crocs, what sweeties!

3:39 pm

*banging head against desk* It's been a long night, it's been a long night...

3:39 pm

harp- if you work hard you will see re*****

3:40 pm

Trotters, they were so gorgeous! I would have drawn the line at the eels though :/

3:40 pm

Miy no problem it reminds me of Anj too.

3:40 pm

i'm back after working a few hours. now i need to finish up on this puzzle. any help w/ en5/12 and he 5/16???

3:41 pm

Kristin, it's the icon he had when I first came onto babble, so it always reminds me of him! Sooo, sooo sorry!

3:41 pm

Miy They're just fish - very tasty

3:41 pm

nonny- he5/16 a candy bar , if you put o in front of it

3:43 pm

Guess what everyone...movieman has finished yet again... Many, many thanks 2 all who have assisted me, and I suppose all I have left 2 do now is swap a Mexican dog 4 something Egyptian... Oh, I almost forgot 2 say goodnight, so here I go.... Goodnight y'all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

3:43 pm

Trotters, I had a rather unfortunate experience once in which an eel came in to painful contact with my face...fish slap! It's put me off :)

3:43 pm

Beebee the tr I need is in between words where the third letter is "i", so I don't understand the re4/4 clue. Miy - square?? What?? PLEASE not a math clue!

3:43 pm

Hi Miyavi and congrats movieman!!!!!!

3:44 pm

nite movieman

3:44 pm

kristin- sorry, tri + re4/4

3:44 pm

Miy I don't believe you but you made me laugh!!

3:44 pm

Thanx Beebee---or in keeping w/today's icons....POOCHES GRACIAS!!!

3:44 pm

Okay...just take the us, then put in the two letters that are sharing the same square on the grid. Add a vowel for flavour :)

3:45 pm

Trotters, unfortunately it is true! My dad was cooking one, since we had lots of family coming around, and he was so proud of the eel he'd bought that he came right up into the study, where I was, and put it on my shoulder...I wasn't really expecting it, turned my face sharply around and had a fish slap :D

3:45 pm

big sloppy dog kiss Miy!

3:46 pm

Oops...and hey, Snowy :) How are you?

3:46 pm

kristin- let me stop cause i don't even know what i've been typing -what tr do you need a clue for?

3:47 pm

*tries to hide grin at kisses* Must keep sulky-teenager guise...

3:47 pm

tr 5/16 b/w the 6/21 and 5/10

3:47 pm

looked for definition of the us word..couldn't find any meaning...maybe just latin word?

3:47 pm

I'm OK Miy thankyou - frazzled after getting the 3 grandchildren to bed but otherwise OK!

3:48 pm

Miy And did you eat any of it? (thanks for the laugh)

3:48 pm

Snowy, ouch! I went babysitting with a friend, and oooh my God...the sights! The sounds! All children are monsters! Monsters I say!

3:49 pm

kristin- i went back and looked - i was combining the te and tr clues- sorry tri + a vowel + a con. + the same vowel as before

3:50 pm

Trotters, I did in the end...And you're very welcome for the laugh...hey, just see my profile :D

3:50 pm

poster children for condoms eh?

3:51 pm

Miy yes, all children are monsters but for some strange reason grandchildren aren't (are they snowy?)

3:51 pm

*chokes on own saliva* WHAT was that about condoms?!

3:52 pm

beebee I never would have found that - thanks! how about no4/4 and 5/10 - not the opposite of some

3:52 pm

*brain clicks* Oooh...right, I got it :) *gives it another few minutes* *starts laughing hysterically*

3:52 pm

kristin- the vowel is an e

3:52 pm

Oh no Mine aren't! LOL - well not always! They're great really - just tiring!

3:52 pm

OOPS sorry beebee i got the word!

3:53 pm

I'm jealous, snowy, my two are 250 miles away so don't see them very often

3:53 pm

of course... if i had any... mine wouldnt be either! )

3:54 pm

Trotters...what about the children who are both children and grandchildren? Part-time monsters? Maybe monsters 2 - 5:30 on Friday afternoons?

3:54 pm

*adds eyeballs to smile* 8)

3:54 pm

kristin- sorry i don't have those yet- i'm not usually so spaced out- maybe a lasting effect from too many corona's on turkey day

3:55 pm

need en5/12 desperately

3:55 pm

If I had any grandchildren, then apart from being a miracle of modern science, I'd imagine they'd be just like me... Good grief.

3:55 pm

I know TrotterI always feel guilty as the 3 I have tonight have grandparents who live a long journey away and only get to see them once or twice a year. I try not to moan because they are so gorgeous - Much nicer than your own kids really LOL!

3:55 pm

Miy You're talking about yourself now aren't you? Bet your grandparent/s love you to bits and your parent/s too?

3:55 pm

se 7?

3:56 pm

well I'm down to a couple res, ses, tes and those 2 nos and a2z was of no help :(

3:56 pm

3:57 pm

nonny - means boredom

3:57 pm

Snowy My son-in-laws parents look after my granddaughters during the week, I try not to hate them!!

3:57 pm

3:58 pm

I have one child who is 14 and now I wish I had more!! she's been such a blessing in my life! '

3:58 pm

en5/12 - double const. not U nor I

3:59 pm

my mom always said/says i'll have one just like me...(*wonders why i'm an only child*) i refuse to give her the satisfaction.

3:59 pm

Feign affection? Oh, you teenage monster, you - you know they love you to bits and I bet you take advantage

3:59 pm

en5: boredom. listlessness

4:00 pm

SE7 a genus of widely distributed plants of the daisy family (Compositae) including some containing various alkaloids which are poisonous to livestock

4:00 pm

Thats why I'm so grateful to have them Trotters. I always think they must hate us! Having said that they are fantastic with the children when they see them and I stay away as much as I can so they get concentrated child time. The children talk about them all the time so don't fell forgotten. Tehy regard them as special because they see them less often.

4:00 pm

4:05 pm

Snowy I feel better now, I always thought the other grandparents were avoiding us, never thought they were being considerate! Perhaps you should mention to the others why you stay away? I do have good times on the phone (ring a ring a roses is very strange with just a phone in your hand!) My daughter mentioned tonight about getting a video link on the pc.

4:05 pm

4:10 pm

Yes Kristen that is the theme for tomorrow and Sunday is faerie day.

4:59 pm

Yes Kristin Egypt tomorrow! Whats happened to Babblers Anon then?

4:59 pm

Cath did'nt know myself until earlier - I read back thro' the log just enough to see that in a posting from babbler

5:03 pm

6:09 pm

lol yoink!! awwwww, I like David Gray....... : )

6:12 pm

Well, someone has to i guess

6:15 pm

If the word "oner" is going to be used in every third crossword puzzle I solve, I think it ought to be good here..

6:15 pm

Sorry, he just really isn't my thing. I could go on and on about him but I'll zip it for the sake of peace!

6:16 pm

anyone have a clue for the second se 5/10

6:17 pm

lol! soz yoink, I was just checking out google for tomorrow's egyptian theme! I didn't like David Gray at first either, but then I heard him sing live in Trafalgar Sq one balmy summer's evening, and he sounded really good. : D

6:18 pm

Claim to fame, I've been to Egypt, so I might find a pic of my own to have on here tomorrow

6:19 pm

8:05 pm

Ok, I'm now officially tired. Gonna call it a day now, see you all tomorrow on Egypt day

8:06 pm

ak, thanks. I got the ur 5, but still need a ur4 and ul 4.

8:06 pm

g'nite Yoink!!! Walk like an Egyptian to your bed.... it'll be fun!

8:06 pm

Yoink - see in Egypt

8:06 pm

ur 4 - ur + the cold square blocks of water you add to your drink, minus the last vowel

it was nice, but i am a little tired from driving (just back a couple of hours) bye, yoink!

8:07 pm

ul 4 - ul + you are you and I am me, but we are **

8:07 pm

Mama-that's the UR 4 that I have. Would you be so kind as to help me with the other one?

8:08 pm

where did you go, Temple?

8:08 pm

actually it's the same clue as the ul 4 only with ur instead

8:09 pm

the last of the ru4/5????

NW NJ- near butler - mountains, near ski areas - and lots of BEARS!

and you - did you cook?

8:10 pm

nite yoink!! see you tomorrow : D

8:10 pm

okay, its time for me to head back to the CPA exam books. (groan). Thanks for all the great hints! See everyone tomorrow. :)

8:11 pm

Yes I did... 19 1/2 pound unfortunate bird... and all the rest.. all from scratch. was very tired... but it was all good.

8:11 pm

ru4/5 A crafty stratagem; a subterfuge

8:11 pm

Nit Circe, don't hit it too hard

8:12 pm

Mama, I'm still not getting the ul and ur. Would you care to try further? Or should I just shoot myself?

8:12 pm

nite circe ! : )

8:12 pm

BEARS??? You said you saw BEARS???? Was my cousin Sammy there? I haven't seen him in ages...

nite, circe...

8:12 pm

mamabear you do it all from scatch too!

8:13 pm

Yes, tomorrow i shall rise from my sarcophagus and be reincarnated! And play Babble! And I'm gone

8:13 pm

OK , harpjane, don't load the gun yet... let's try this... ur + if your car is old and the paint starts to deterioriate, it is called r**t. Add those 2 letters to both the ur and the ul

8:13 pm

g'nite Yoink! g'nite circe!!!! see ya tomorrow

8:13 pm

ooh ooh, we should say As Salaam U Alaikum, yoink!

8:14 pm

Thank you mama. I didn't have to hurt the puppy after all!

8:14 pm

Babbler - did you spit all over your keyboard with that one?

8:14 pm

thanx babbler..how did i miss that?? any clue for us5/18 before I have to leave. only 2 left to go

8:15 pm

I tried not to, Mamabear : ) !! lol !

8:16 pm

us5: you know the br7 word that means Abrupt and curt in manner or speech; discourteously blunt, well drop the br !

8:16 pm

did not see any...not sure if i want to ( no offense)...last year the hosts had a bird feeder crook bent double by one...

8:17 pm

yes I thought i was the only one in this world that still did it that way!!!

8:17 pm

or as Miya said, start us, add the tile with 2 letters, then add a vowel...

8:17 pm

do you cook your pumpkins down for your pumpkin pie

8:18 pm

I can understand that - they are cute and cuddly in the zoo, but I don't think I'd want to come very close to one in the wild either! Very large teeth!

8:18 pm

no shorty, I don't go THAT far...

8:18 pm

can i have a clue for te 7/28 pleeese its the only one i have left and my pillow is calling

8:19 pm

oh I do and it is the best pie ever

8:19 pm

wow what a word..thanx babbler

8:19 pm

scatty, think oneies, twoies, threeies, all the way up to te***** (double consonant)

8:19 pm

Actually, it's bad manners to have a bird feeder if you live in bear country. Not to mention a good way to lose your bird feeder. We're always getting public service announcements, don't feed your pets outdoors, pick the apples off your trees, etc. This minimizes the chance that a bear trying to "bulk up" will ge used to human-offered food. Am I right, Mama?

8:19 pm

te 7/28 - oneies, twoies, threeies, fouries, fiveies, sixies, sevenies, eighties, nineies, te*****

black bears will generally leave people alone...one did maul a horse thee and got into it with dogs...

8:21 pm

you are right harpjane. They are mighty animals and should be respected as such.

8:21 pm

yo5/16 and 2 after that to go

8:22 pm

yo 5/16 - there's a drink made of gin & t**** - change the t to a y

8:22 pm

It's true, black bears aren't too hard on PEOPLE, but they're murder on puppies, espcially if they're used to coming into your yard.... (keeping with the theme).

8:22 pm

found it!!

8:22 pm

After all, I am the Puppy Ranger today.

8:22 pm

8:23 pm

8:37 pm

yw katmama!

how about ho 5/14, not the unit of time?

8:48 pm

it's like the other ho5/14 with a vowel at the end instead of a consenant...

perfect! ty!

8:50 pm

8:59 pm

renfield - is that cleopatra Barbie???

I'm still missing 65 words *sigh* that's what i get for starting late

9:00 pm

anything in particular vicky?

ou 5/12? not the unconventional one

9:03 pm

ou + to r*** and shine!!!! without the middle consonant

9:03 pm

MUMMYBEAR --- may I have clue for te6? I have the OUr singer; can you point me in the right direction please?

ty!

9:05 pm

te 6 - te + sidewalks are made of conc****

9:06 pm

Oh, thank you so much!

9:07 pm

last one - te 7/32?

9:07 pm

te 7 - plural of the te 6 above it

9:09 pm

oh geez. thank you.

9:09 pm

Good evening to all... home from an almost mind numbingly boring day at work :) The only saving grace was the fact that the retail manager has so many anecdotes and is a great story teller so the time flew But now I am here and the day is redeemed ;)

9:10 pm

Just one more? NU7? Please?

mama - could u please give a clue for the te6 in question?

9:10 pm

how about lu 6/21? i have the 'more crazy' one...

9:11 pm

there's no nu 7 mab , do you mean nu 8?

9:11 pm

GW!!!!! *mamabear runs over and gives GW a giant bear hug* Sorry for your boring day.... hope it changes now!

katmama - make it plural...

9:12 pm

same word as the te 5 above it, with an extra vowel thrown in for good measure

hi gw! how could anyone bebored in retail today?

9:13 pm

*hugs MAMA back* It already has due to your and everyone elses presence, MAMA

unless you are selling turkey!

9:13 pm

You mean I've been struggling for many minutes on end looking for a word that doesn't even exist?!! Well, I guess it's not the first time. LU6? Absolutely last question. I have crazier.

9:13 pm

I hate days like that GW, I am much happier when I am so busy that I don't know what to do first...

9:14 pm

THANK YOU owl!!

mab - make it plural

9:14 pm

same word mab, but the plural

9:14 pm

Hi, Temple -- very easy -- I make eyeglasses... not many people want to buy glasses at this time of year :)

yw, cat

9:15 pm

I hate when this happens. Thank You Temple and Mummy.

9:15 pm

did you get em all, mab?

oh :/ seems all of my appointments go till year end then a mad scramble....i got bifocals for the 1st time and i hate them...

9:17 pm

I have a few more words but they are little ones that I can noodle. Thank you so much.

I'm still having issues with the te 6/21

mab - give this to cat when you're done * hands over the pollock*

9:17 pm

that would be my next option too. But now I have glasses for close up and for far away. But like now, I don't need them at all!!! Do NOT want to go the bifocal route!

9:18 pm

i used to have bifocals - they were a PAIN to get used to...

9:18 pm

By the way, I worked the the mental health field for the past several years, and the lu6 is the technical term.

9:19 pm

Temple - I will be bored until the day after Xmas -- the last week of the year is called Insurance Week bec everyone will suddenly realise that their medical flex benefits are about to expire and they have to use the money ore lose it -- glasses are the easiest high medical expense item out there to buy so they come running to us

9:20 pm

What kind of bifocal, Temple -- lined or no line?

any clues for the ou5's?

9:22 pm

te 6/21 - first three letters are the number after nine. the last three are a measure of time minus the first consonant

9:22 pm

TY7? Absolutely, positively my last request.

thank you! i could not for the life of me figure out that middle "extra vowel" and how to make it all plural

9:24 pm

ty -7 - start with the ty 4 above it. Add not bad, but n***, minus last vowel

sorry gw - i cannot see grid & chat at same time...progressive...but till then i only used reading glasses and my distance correctin is the least....when i look at pc at work i cannot look at down angle easily so i gues it was a poor choice...

9:25 pm

GW - that's EXACTLY what I would be doing this time of year, except I had to use up all my medical flex dollars this year on other medical expenses. So no new glasses for me!!!

9:26 pm

Thank you.

9:26 pm

welcome!!!

9:27 pm

Temple Owl - not necessarily -- not trying to advertise here - but if you come into any Lenscrafter's (mine is in Plymouth Meeting) and talk to an optician - they can double check your measurements and make sure everything lines up properly :)

9:28 pm

GW - how you doing with the word count tonite?

9:29 pm

MAMA - if it helps you, I have certificates that I am supposed to share with friends and/or family that give you 50% off a pair of glasses -- you definitely qualify as the former, so I can always mail one to you ;)

9:30 pm

I have 61 left to find -- the last couple of clues since I logged on have helped me find some that I missed theis AM :)

9:30 pm

That's very sweet of you GW!!!! I got new glasses last year in December, and my insurance allows for every other year, so I'll probably wait until 2006.. mine seem to be ok for now.

last se5/10 please? or if clue given anyone know when?

9:31 pm

MAMA - it is recommended that you have your eyees examined every two years, hence the insurance allowance... but if you start having trouble, let me know :) (I always have unused certificates)

also su 8/45?

9:32 pm

se 5/10 - google this: "Any of several Old World finches of the genus Serinus having yellowish plumage, especially a European species (S. serinus) closely related to the canary"

any help for the last ou 5?

9:34 pm

su 8 - the root word means a very hot and humid day... or expressing deep desire, the 8 is the root plus the "more so" suffix

9:34 pm

Thanks GW, I will definitely keep that in mind! I appreciate your generosity!

9:35 pm

ou 5 - not inner, but ou*** - with the last 2 letters transposed

ths mama

9:36 pm

you're welcome songbird!

9:39 pm

Temple - did you get the su? It's a hard one...

9:45 pm

brb

mama - i got the su/8 and also the se ty...te6/18? then it is break time...my eyes look like this % {

GW - the first thing i did was go back to the dr. - they make glasses there - and they are correct...

9:48 pm

9:49 pm

ty renfield - looking very mysterious, there!

9:52 pm

Temple - I'm not saying they were made wrong-- It's just that sometimes how they are sitting on your face may be contributing to your difficulties --- so if you happen to be passing by, come on in and have them check it out -- it's a free service we provide and we'll even clean them for you too! :D

9:52 pm

Good evening, ren -- how has your day been?

9:52 pm
