It's the curse of soft tissue damage, long healing time and more pain during the process -- sometimes you wish it had truly broken -- bones tend to heal faster :)
It's 'painful I am not doing as much resting as I should' painful! :o I know! But I'll rest - got a vacation coming up and I have to do a few things to get ready!

I badly sprained an ankle and unless I regularly do yoga, my ankle, knee and hip are troublesome. Yoga totally eliminates any problems.
I've been thinking of taking up yoga, mab.
Babbler - you're scaring me! GW - not being defensive. Just stating the facts. :/ If I take time off to rest now, my vacation will be cut. :/ Can't have that! I did ask the doctor whether this limited 'resting' I'm doing will have adverse effects but he said that it will slow down the mending process -- but since I'll be on vacation soon, that shouldn't hurt too much (the mending). So I'm going to be a good girl :D and rest - really rest - as soon as I'm on vacation!

I like doing it and I love how it makes me feel. I'm as flexible as a noodle. I did Bikram yoga for awhile, in the 105-degree room, but I've had enough of that.

sorry I scared you, Zubie. Didn't mean for that. I just got worried when your ankle swelled up and you couldn't rest. : (
zubie -- I understand about the vac -- I am supposed to get 4 weeks of vac each year -- but since I work retail, they don't have to schedule me a 40 hour work week all the time so I end up burning half my vac time each year making sure I my paycheck is where I need it to be to pay the bills ;)

I don't really know the characters well enough to say! Having had girls we were more into Postman Pat. We also loved a programme called 'Bertha' where all the characters were voiced by the late Roy Kinnear. I'd love to see that back on.

Haz - I see you're only a year younger than me so I imagine your children are around the same ages as my own? Mine are now 18 & 21. We used to watch Postman Pat, Fireman Sam etc. Don't remember 'Bertha' though. One of our favourites was 'Olly the Ox'.
My girls are 21 and 18 as well, and yes Fireman Sam was a favourite as well - Bella's cafe must have had the worst fire record in the world and Norman would probably be diagnosed with ADHD now!
