anyone have all the 7 letter words yet? we are working on them. me and my hubby
haven't got any yet, nava
are we going to get to work earlier tonight than lastnight so we can go to bed sooner?
I take back what I said earlier ......... about this grid not being too bad!
this one's tough i think
i only have one six and it's a tasty beverage for sunday brunch or a flower
nava - word up
A6/21 D6/21 I6/24 I6/21 M6/24 X2
I've got 87 already and only 5 six's and no 7's among them :)
R6/21
another M6/24
S6/18
is it taking forever to enter words, or is it just me!
no probs here, c-nan BTW, is your icon supposed to be a black square?
I wonder where my icon went?
Dunno, or am I the only one not seeing it?
Inky blackness for me too.
My icon was a poinsetta but it was a jpg file, so I changed it -- thought maybe that was what was slowing things up.
spatialbean, i don't understnad your clue for the sunday brunch drink
owie is so a word!
I think it needs 2 e's, Leslie ;) Got a 7 -- D7/36 - it brought back elementary school memories :D
but THAT'S not in the puzzle GW :)
gw- was the elemtary scool thing a clue, or just memories for you?
Nava, mi 6/24 a drink of champagne and orange juice
a bit of both, nava -- not having exposure to elem school recently, I don't know if it still applies :)
was it catholic school gw?
Nope
nice spatialbean. thanks. i don't drink, but i know that cause of television.
then they prolly had xerox ~:oP
cool nava
thanks
brandyjack's list is up
Yay! Another personal best -- broke 100 w/o Brandyjack's list! :) still only the one 7, though
have I lost it completely (maybe I'm an i5) but isn't storeman a word ??????? If not, why is it in common use then ?
well, less so than the people who didn't have i 5 (myself included) :)
don't forget there is more than one i 5
Malise -- thanks for the i5 :D
which would make it an i 6
Back in few, folks!
got all the "i" words.
well a new grid... any surprises...
Looks sneaky at first glance. Is it another sneaky grid?
mab- is ti doris day?
Yes nava. By the way, mi word - the drink is named after a tree, or is it a flower....
i think a flower
Well, I have 56 words. It's after midnight, zero degrees. Time to put on all my warm clothes and go to bed.
i love doris day by the way
'Night, Harpjane.
anyone got a clue for the ma6?
Fish.
Im back -- kitties were quite upset with me... I forgot to feed them when I got home :)
ooops. Should have tried that first. No fish.
Greywoulf, any guy who like kitties and plays with their daughter in the snow has a special place in my heart :)
howdy
Thanks, lovemypom

I have 2 of the 7's a7/28 d7/36
my husband wants me to write: it's been 25 years and we still miss john lennon. let's give peace a chance
d7/36 Blaze I'm still working on this one
blaze, can we have some clues. got lots of 6's but no sevens yet
repeat something past tense
Thanx for the clue :)
Well Nava your icon has changed for me....but mine hasn`t, can you all still see Tweety cos he shouldn`t be there now!!!!
a 7 common 3 letter word + part in the middle of your face
oh Blaze...I had that one..it was another d7 I was working on but thank you :)
Thanks Blaze! lotti, Tweety has flown the coop!
And the nongridword for tonight is...Ameritrade
i just got that one de 7/40 it is a type of tumor... starts like that famous TuTu fellow
Oh Good....thanx GW :) I can still see him though....
nava -- re:John Lennon -- the local classic rock station spent the day remembering him :)
Blaze Thats the one thanx
gw- that's cool
mm y/w
nava, tell your husband thanks. Also, there is a very good remembrance at www.hearingvoices.com, with lots of Lennon speaking and singing.
wow Blaze - you've got all your guns blazing (sorreee) thanks for all clues greatly appreciated
thanks i just told him about it and he's gonna check it out
you are very welcome....

'night blaze
Later, Blaze
'Night, Blaze.
Looks like another slow morning. It seems to be taking a long time to refresh etc.
Morning mum :)
What are these hairy guys again? The ones that are our theme toay.
Hi Lotti.Could you bring some milk when you bring the barking boy.
zztop
mab -- ZZ Top
Yeah no prob.....how many pints???
Oh right. thanks.

Ok :)
hello everybody!
Morning Sam :)
Hi Sam!
Hi Speed.
any clues for the ro 7?
hi mab! hi GW! hi Lotti!
Hello Sam.
hi macadam!
My next favorite nongridword - DeSoto
does anyone have ro 7 or wi 7? only ones i don't have. i'd love some clues guys
wi7 would be a guy made of wi4/8
nava sorry i don't have it.
just got the wi, just need the ro now. can't seem to find it
Sam....say hi to James for me :)
thanks griff
ro 7/32 would be an alt spelling (I guess...) for competitions involving bull riding and calf roping
awesome clue. got in one try. thanks again
ok lotti
I didn't check to see what the real def is

bye everyone and lotti i'm going to school so i can talk to james! bye babblers if anyone would say what rating they are on the who's hot listit would be appreciated dearly (i want to compare with everyone else i'm on 588 or something
Have a good day Sam :o)
Have a great day, Sam!
Off in shower bbl :)
Just peeked out my window --- the radar on TV says the snow is here, the weatherman said that the snow whould start around midnightish, but here it is, 3AM and I am not seeing any snow -- looks like tomorrow will be worse than everyone expected
Meanwhile, it's approaching midnight here and it's +44F... which is 54 degrees warmer than it was 10 days ago...
and its 29 degrees here in pdx
Yesterday my ranking was 925
Wow, Griff -- what's the temp supposed to be?
k lotti cya :)
Normal for us right now would be anywhere from +5 to +25. We had subzero over Thanksgiving. Chinook blew in a few days ago and everything is a mess, water on ice. Should be back to teens and 20's in another day or so.
griff, you in washinton?
Alaska
my husband wants to move there so bad. he was looking for jobs there this summer. i'm not sure if i could take the dark winter. is it as bad as they say?
It's kinda nice to know that weather is all screwed up everywhere instead of just by me :D
Depends. Lots of choices. The difference between Ketchikan and Barrow is hours of daylight and decades of temperature!
We've got the pineapple express blowing. Once that quits it'll be back to normal.
wow. is it all bueatiful? had a relative in jeauno for a while
It's beautiful in lots of places. And the places that aren't conventionally beautiful are places you just have to look a little closer to see it. All the windswept barren places have their own beauty. I love living by both the mountains and the sea.
Hi all, how's the grid?
Hey sprite. It's not too bad.
Hi sprite -- pretty good today!
Oh yes, it is nice!
am back for few miinutes... hello to all...
hi-hi again
Hi Blaze :)
I"m done!!! Just over 2 1/2 hours!! A personal best! :D
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay GW!
awooooo awooooo great job grey wolf.....******
Congrats, Woulf! WTG!
Nice GW! I just hit the half-way mark...waaay behind you. :D
Congratulations Grey Woulf.
Of course, now this means I have to find something else to do during the snowstorm...
lol
For something completely different: you could try Paradoxion. :D
Blaze -- without your clues for the A & D 7's, I'd still be hunting -- special thanks to you (*hug*)
Time for work.See you later.
What's that, sprite?
does anyone out there know about this new game called suduko it is about numbers..??
y/w GW
I've seen it, Blaze, but I haven't tried it yet
Yeah, sudoku's a great game.
nice gw! congrats!
Yes it`s a good game.Have to go now.
Blaze: yes, don't start, it is addictive! Woulf: a game of logic, very intelligently and beautifully made.
thank you sprite...... do you think it has any value for a teen who needs something to do....??
yeah, i've seen it. a friend of mine palys it alot. she really likes it. i'm not into numbers though. i can hardly handle these letters!
Luckily it's one I am too peabrained to play.
Blaze: depends on the teen, I think. There isn't much action, but an ongoing challenge it is.
Anyone can play, it just takes time. You pick it up pretty quickly though.
Blaze - not new, been around for many years, quite addictive....
thanks guys... I think I will get it for her for Christmas...
I do not need another addiction at all....LOL
The rules are very easy: just place 9 symbols (mostly 1-9) in a grid, following only 3 rules. Part is given, the rest is up to you. But depending on what is given and what not, the difficulty differs.
I'm new at this game. Only getting 4-5 letter words, a few 6's. Any help?
Darn - I found the fish but the grid won't take it!
what fish? clue
Sounds like you are doing very well, geefield! Griffs... that is cruel! Could it be babble has grown over its liking for fish?
No point in giving you a clue for a word it won't take! :D
geefield95 -- you're doing fine, this grid has primarily 4 and 5's today To get a breakdown of the board, click on the Babblers Anonymous link in the Friends of Babble box, then General, to Daily Stats
actually, wait. someone earlier said there was a fish. but then came back alter and said it didn't take. nevermind
Clue: a fish that won't bite :)
No, sprite, not after 'rorqual' yesterday. Though I guess there'd be some debate on calling that a fish. I call it a fish
i found a bird does that count... a sky fish LOL
The fish it won't take is mahi...
I think mahi is actually maki
Rorqual? Wow, that would have been a challenge :) Missed a few good grids, I guess. But passed my exams :)
Not in mahi-mahi, it ain't! :)
sprite congrats on your exam passing...
nice goin' sprite!
Thanks :D But Griffs, then it should have been mahi-mahi in the grid, and since it can't have -... :(
We coulda typed it twice! :)
Glad to hear it, sprite -- congrats!
about passing, that is ;)
by the by, sprite, while you were gone GW and I decided that the next version of Babble will take wildcards....
Serves me right - I just got to the id's and got insulted...
I am all for it, Griffs!
Hi again... Hey Sprite Congratulations on the exam passes :) I have 2x do5/20 missing.....does anyone have any clues (I know i`m gonna kick myself)
Oh, I liked those er's, they all fell down went boom real fast
Not me, lotti - they are my last combo to do and I'm starting them right now
there is a stock market do* Jones.... add endings
I am about to get dressed and go shopping with my daughter. Who has another day free of school... stupid idea, days off for young children because it would be to tough for them to make full weeks all the time. I can't remember being exhausted by school myself, ever. Fed up with it, yes. But too heavy a schedule? Government is crazy.
Hear, Hear, sprite!
sprite! <sternly> The government ONLY has your best interest at heart! okay I couldn't type that without laughing out loud
Btw, sprite - just downloaded the demo of paradoxian -- it's definitely my type of game! ;D
In our area the school teachers went on strike for over 4 weeks... then there are still days off for Pro d days... They do need more money but... I am glad I do not have children in public school....
Had a feeling it might, Woulf! ;) Stop sniggering, Griffs :)
Sorry, the temperature swings here have confused my brain. I do like living far away from my own country.
Thanks Blaze....i`ve still omly got one of them though :/
What????? I didn't say anything bad!
the only bad part is that I don't have the money to buy the full version! -- Waaaah!
Lotti there is david Bow** and there is thing called Pow**
:))) Thanks blaze for that start on the do's....
Oh TY, TY, TY Blaze..... i can move on now !!!!! M`s....... mmm :)
Woulf, you should have mail :)
Thanks, sprite :D
Darn, I thought I was done... two M's have escaped my gaze. Time to glare fiercely.
How many do you have?
I got... a whole bunch minus two :D
Well I just can not keep up this pace... must rest... leaving the last 50 fro tomorrow....
Sleep well blaze, just like last night I'm right behind you with one word to go...
G`nite Blaze :)
Yeaaay - all I had to do to finish was refresh!
(er, so why didn't I try that 186 words ago?)
H
I must be off as well -- it's so easy to lose track of time when having fun with friends :D G'nite to everybody! (no names means I can't forget anyone ;) ) (*Hugs for all*) plus an extra for sprite (*HUG*) TTFN
Hey everyone! Here in my ICT lesson at school ^_^
LOL Griff!!!!!! G`nite to you too...:)
Hi miyavi - bye GW, lotti and all!
(((Hugs))) GW.....G`nite :) Hey Miyavi :)
And my friend Gem is here with me!
Hi Gem :) Btw Miyavi....how`s Miss Linton, I haven`t seen her on here for weeks??? If you see her say Hi from me :)
lello my fellow gurkins
She's fine thanks Lotti...I think she doesn't want to be seen online with her students!
did u see the lil gren alien go to mars i did he wz very happy with his gravy soup
Well....understandable I suppose, but she did introduce you all to it!!!!!
Miyavi...is fred in that class by any chance???
Hey Fred...yes, I saw the little green things. Lovely creatures. And hi, since you're like, two computers away from me
Yup Lotti...I don't think she thought of that!
LOL!!!!!!!
So now I'm gently humiliating her by displaying the standards of her students ^_^
No you`re not!!!! Thats not what she`s told me in the past :)
Miyavi - there's no need to be mo 6/24!
hi im a brand new babbler my cousin kyrie joined this week hi to miyavi from kyrie
What?! When was this?! I was being discussed?!
lol Haz! Hey Rock Chick! Hi to you and say hi to her back from me :)
LOL Haz!!!! Hi Rock chic :) Miyavi it was a long time ago....she was on a day off, so logged on for a while :) Btw....is everyone in your area related ???!!!!!????? }o/
Good morning, lotti - I'm allocating myself 15 minutes babbling before getting on with the day.
Related? Nope...just all shoved into the same class :) I'm not related to anyone on here. But look, look, I have a picture of my metalwork teacher. Haven't stopped laughing for about a million years I:\Year Groups\Year 07\Wales 2005\IMGP0314.JPG
Miyavi, do i just www. before that add?
I think it should work just as it is...I hope so, anyway. You can see what sort of person is in charge of youth today o_O
You realise that teachers are probably showing pictures of their classes and saying ' Look what young people look like today!'
Haz, you're probably right! *shudders* Luckily I usually duck out of most school photos.
No can`t get it Miyavi.....i`ll try again!!!
I imagine people will remember you without photographic evidence!!
Ah, don't worry! It's just...I never knew trousers could GO that high...
Haz, what gives you that idea? *looks innocent* ...Apart from when my friend and I went into town dressed in visual kei. Even punks were avoiding us
Now, you're going to have to explain what visual kei is. Don't forget, I'm well over 40 and therefore seriously not with it!
Whatever he`s like, he can`t be worse than my metal work teacher.....he was scarily more scruffy than any old Worzel!!!!! Eeeewwww
Haz, Visual Kei is a very scary style of dress! My friend and I decided to cosplay as visual kei-ers, which means all black clothes, leather, pvc, fishnet, with spikes and scary makeup. Also madly dyed hair and massive shoes :D
Sounds like what I wear every day...
Lotti, did yours sing?! I love singing along with Mr Ferguson in my metalwork classes! My favourites are his 'gasman' song and one of his own creations, 'hand vice early in the morning'
Oooh, Haz, am I seeing a hidden side?
I`m off to get my hair dyed today.....I don`t think it will be "madly" somehow!!!!! Although, i`m going darker for the first time ever !!! :)
I can just see my husband's face if he came home to a vision of me in black PVC! No, I'm just a boring mum - and a boring mum who has overstayed her 15 minutes! See you all later!
No Miyavi mine hummed......in every sence of the word!!!!!!!
Later Haz :) Surprise him :) Lotti, you could go bright red-pink kei-ish style, like I did!
See you later Haz :)
I`m not brave enough for that!!! Remember i`m a boring mum too........who does wear black a lot, but only cos i believe it`s more slimming......i need all the help i can get!!!!!! lol
You can if you believe you can :D Anyway, gotta be off, IT is nearly over and my friends are buying false teeth on ebay o_O Gem says bye too!
Mmmm nice !!!! :) See ya later hun......bye Gem *waves*

One of the od 4/5 words is a type of poetry, the other is americanised spelling for 'smell'
nava, my understanding of the stats is it doesn't matter how long it took to complete the grid - it's about your point standing. congrads on finishing so quickly :)
Haz - thanks... the american spelling got me again!!
Glad you got it at last!
I don't see the darn thing because we spell it with *our* and the word looks 'foreign' spelt like this :->
I know - it goes against the grain to leave out the u.
i'm really stuck on the top row I. 4 words from it? I don't believe it!
You'll feel like one when you find the id 5/12 and its plural

Mac I am stopping for sometime and as a punishment going to take all my clothes off and jump into the snow from the second floor. Unbelievable
Sell tickets .It could be a good show.Is the snow deep enough ?
Wear a pair of mi5 to keep your hands warm:0)
Hello Macadam, Marc, I guess you got the mo5 (it took me ages to get that one too and the one thats part of a year)!
Words you know seem to be the hardest to find quite often.
Very funny I got that one and Trotters that part of the year was the last 'm' I was looking for.
Oh good you didn`t jump:0)Glad you`re back.
I've changed my icon so I can picture what you'll look like if you jump!
Grandson in coughing fit,back soon.
Too damn cold and too damn old and too damn chicken I call that the cdc syndrom
Back again. Not A nice thought to be a snow person.
We are in the thick of it here in Iowa. Can you help me with a clue for no6 and ts5, got ts4 but there doesn't seem to be a relationship.
cdc,I must remember that one.I`m 10 years ahead of you marc, you`re a mere child.
I've finished (supposed to be off sick!) sniffle, sniffle. Anyone need any help, otherwise I'm off ttfn
The ts5 is, would you believe, the 18th letter of the hebrew alphabet
ts5/12 18th letter of Hebrew alphabet
no6, no+medicine
ro 5/18 last r word could I have a clue please.
Totters you are right I had to count them out on my fingers
Mac Try a different spelling for the tree with the pretty red berries
Marc, I think I prefer totters, that'll be me tonight after the wine
Morning, everyone! thought i'd have a look see before shoveling.....
Its 3 in the afternoon here temple, good afternoon
today's icon theme anyone?
How embarrassing. The tree with the red berries is our clan tree.
well good day, then, for those across the pond!
Mac I am sorry you gave me the Hebrew letter clue, thanks. the no + medicine clue has me lost. Am I going to have to jump into the snow again, Help
sorry Marc, it's how you measure the medicine
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.No and add the amount of medicine you take
Jumping out again.
Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Just came back to try and finish todays grid . This is the time when I give in and take a look at Brandtjacks stats on Babbler Anon. Can't beleive it's not working. this is gonna be a hard slog if I'm gonna finish. Still need 56 words!!
Don`t do it.you`ll freeze all your ---------------
Ish There's a second letter count down the log
Miss sorry, didn't mean to ignore you, good day! We don't seem to have a theme today but there seems to be a lot of snow around at the moment
How about a theme for tomorrow? I miss having a theme!
There's only half a dozen or so of us at the moment

From small acorns........
Ah, the silent majority have risen!!

misstearweus - you should thank your lucky stars you don't to deal with this snow! What a nightmare!
thanked everyone this morning...i saw the news about chicago blizzard bringing down a plane last night...
My sister lives near Midway, thank God she was at home.
i'm cold natured and even hate when we get cold here, I wouldn't last long in a northern state.
georgians look at weather like that as the end of the world! good thing your fam is safe. :)
lup e- how much did u get?
between 8 to 10 inches.
WOW!!!!
i think we got 6 ...

Hiya :)
hi t4/4!
Hi ToeSock! How are you in the snow in Chitown?
Hi Toesock .. It's pretty, until it gets ugly.......hate that wet, mushy gray salty mess!
yuck lupe - no snow uglier than city snow
I am good! Cold but looks awesome outside. Very pretty
ToeSock - did you get stuck in that traffic last night???
simpathy to you guyin snowsville. Had a lovrly sunny autumn day here.
lshult - must be nice!
Back again after yet another grandson coughing fit.The theme today began as tribute to Dr G or ZZTop.Since them we seem to have had a snowstorm.
been living in GA for 13 years (from living on the international equator traveling as an army brat) when I see snow its like krytonite). Very pretty, but don't want it to touch me.
never snows here (doesn't rain too often)!
so far only found 2 7's ar7/2 & di7/36 Could use some help with the others?
wi7/48
Hi folks from sunny Detroit ! We only got about 6 inches here - most of the heavy stuff went south of the city, thank goodness :)
wow, guest the wi 1st time
ty Babbler 2 more 7's to go
babbler - compund word from a wi4
*bangs into chat log, sits down and glowers at computer screen*
hi miyavi, are you having a bad day?
hi mya - what's up?
evening miyavi
*grabs biscuits* hey everyone...very bad day
evening? *looks at flag* *brain starts working* good evening, Ishult :)
Morning. We're actually above zero F today. Yahoo!
Hi Bugzy!
Need help on ir5 I have the one where the last four letters rhymes with maid.
Hey Lupe - what a mess you guys had there last night, huh?
miyavi- 17:30 here and just got dark (suddenly), that's evening.
Hi Harpjane :) Actually in the 20's (F) here. Heat wave :)
ir+ single digit
You have no idea - it was a nightmare..... for the first time I was glad that I wasn't driving.
I took the train home and walked abaout 10 blocks in that mess - luckily I had an umbrella to shield me from the wind/snow.
riiight...sorry :/ 15:40 here and the same colour it's been all day: grey
Luckily our snow didn't start until after most of the rush hour, and ended by about 6 this morning. We got lucky on the timing, at least :)
fav brunch drink in the puzzle today!
Hope your hubby copes well today!
Poor Lupe! 10 blocks in that stuff! Hot toddy after that for sure :) Hubby just called ... said the side streets are a mess. The kids in his area are all off school, so they're all out playing & throwing snowballs at his truck!!
miss- wish i could figure out your fav brunch drink?
orange juice...champagne...
ish..try favorite drink as mi word
*glowers at thought of people enjoying themselves in the snow*
You are kidding - they got the day off??? I had to lug my son's heavy drum, and my work stuff to wait for his bus - no snow day here - gotta have at least 15 to 20 inches for that!
todah rabah Ishult got it
lup...GA shuts down like armageddon if we have just ONE flurry.
how many letters in the mi drink?
miya, I don't enjoy the snow. It's too cold for me
ish, mi6
He's in a ritzy neighborhood. All the public schools are open, but the private one around there is closed. In our neighborhood, yeah, it has to be over a foot for them to shut the schools.
ishult, mi6 for the drink
misstearweus - I've hear stories about places like that... funny!
Meeergh...I just really wish we had something apart from fog :/
Hi everyone! Have shoveled the walk and steps of mine and neighbors' house. baltimore is of course shut down due to 3 inches of snow. this former midwesterner is appalled!
Miss - my sister used to live in GA ... she said people were out at the stores stocking up on water & canned food if it even started to snow LOL
yeah, it's hilarious. As a kid I live in NY for 6months from Dec to May and NOT ONE SNOW DAY!!!! Here kids get the day off if we have rain for more than 12 hours straight.
I need more info, this grid is getting to me!
Hey Deutsch! :)
Hey Deutsch! How funny!
Hi miyavi, looking a little dark today...
um...lemme refresh and check out the damaged
we have to have a lot more than that to shut down. I've seen school still open with 3 feet on the ground
Hi Lupe, I think they have one snow plow but the guy who knows how to run it has lost the keys!
any clues for an 6?
Bugzy, that is the truth. Origally from Naptown, MD, so I do know about snow. Just got used to not having any. It is hilarious to watch native GAins lose it due to inclement weather.
Where are you, doxy?
LOL..... Deutsch
Utah
Ish, mi6 has another m
Ahhh, doxy, big snow where you are!
Nope, I'm here, Deutsch. Try doing the refresh thing :)
of course, it's been about 20 years since we've had that much snow in the valley. Only in the mountains.
well time to go remove the sn4...and go shopping! miya - see you later! bye all!
Deustch, funny. They actually have to bring them in from another state, when we do get the 1/2 inch we may see. And its like the Macy's Day parade when they come in like a convoy. People cheering and news hyping them up.
Ish, it's also the name of a tree with feathery looking blooms . . . the drink is the color of the m****** trees in southern France--here they're pink . . .
Last night there was no street traffic at all. Very creepy spooky silence. I am use to street traffic noise at night. I actually woke up a couple of times and was freaked out.
deutsch, right now, just cold. Had a couple of inches a few days ago, then had that arctic front come through. Been freezing since.
Later Temple :)
Bye temple - be careful out there!
can't stand ZZ Top, But I always was a conformist!!
Bye temple - happy shoveling and even happier shopping :)
Hi, all. When I get the ar7, am I going to want to slap myself?
hav refreshed, so yes, Miyavi, I see you LOL, Miss! Doxy, I don't miss the cold at all.
Oh, and careful, temple!
Evandine and I were wearing the same icon, so I changed into something older!
smithchick...yes, you will, but be care of that thing in the middle of your face...hee hee..
*poking icon* he's so pretty ^_^
Miyavi, what caused the very bad day? Isult, nice icon. They have a few tunes I like.
I'm getting hungry - gonna go toast a raspberry pop tart - back in a bit.
deutsch, hubby and I are planning to move to St. George, Utah in about 5 years or so. As soon as he is out of a job. Until then, I just have to suffer through
Later lupe, hi smithchick
lupe - save us a bite
eveyone looks so zz today
Thank you, babs. Duly noted and recorded!
babs, thanks for the clue. Got the ar7
uw smithchick, got a do6 clue in exchange?
doxy, will St. George be warmer? I'm not familiar with Utah.
I have no idea. Just had one of those freezing cold days, and my languages teacher is driving me mad. Then got pelted with bits of reacting (ie, burning) sulphur in science :/
I don't think I have one of those in the middle of MY face! Anyway I still don't get the ar7!
still need 2x 7's gor ar, wi & di What else? Oh, and I still haven't figured the mi6 drink!!
Miyavi, freezing cold days are a bother and then to have sulphur thrown at you, ugh. Bad day!
ar7 = ar + vowel + facial feature
ar7- ar + vowel + middle feature of face
ish, google, brunch drinks.
Thanks, ishult!
Oh, THAT thing in the middle of my face! (more coffee...)
Yup, Deutsch! My science teacher was guilty though, since he got carried away and started reacting potassium, which is illegal to do in schools :/ Mr Finley has an unhealthy obsession with burning things
and thanks, trishtrash!
Babs, sure do, but it's a real bummer...
got it finally. never heard of , what's it taste like?
bubbly OJ. Sneaks up on you.
ty smithchick...another duh for me!
Miyavi, Mr. Finley? He was my 7th grade science teacher. He was a danger back then. They must have shipped him over there!
Okay, I was channeling my incredibly corny father there for a minute.
Hi all Ishult, it is champagne and orange juice - what we would call a bucks fizz I guess. Personally I would call it a waste of champagne LOL
I don't like the stuff myself. The sum of the whole is not equal to the two parts. I'd rather have my champagne in one glass, and my oj in another.
bucks fizz- why didn't someone say that earlier. thanks for the wise words MF
I have tried to get to babbler's anon... and get an error every time. Anyone else having the problem?
Deutsch, they're sending your whole state over to my school! First my maths teacher/manskirt, now your science teacher. Mr Finley is 21 in teacher years. (to work out teacher years, double the year they say and add 5)
lshult - do you have the ro 7 / 32 I just got it
Hi fmitch! As I'm allergic to OJ, I prefer bloody marys!
I'm having the same problem Joey
bucks fizz, that is a new one for me. Gotta run to a meeting guys. Be back later!
Hey smithchick...how about the other ro6/21...not the dusty circle for riding on things in macho style
thanks for letting me know - at least I know it is not my work that has finally caught on to my break activity.....
pinecone05- don't have it yet, but i'm after it now
Deutsch - now ya talkin!!! haven't had a BM for ages. Seems that Babanon has been down for about 5 hours now.
joey...ba not working today...maybe having a snow day.
bye, Miss! I can't get to babble anon, either Miyavi, my Mr. finley was about 3 times the age of yours!
does anyone know if the list with the second letters has been posted in the chat logs at any time since the new puzzle went up?
fmitch...nothing a little fiber couldn't fix ;)
babs-I think the two ro6/21 are variant spellings of the same thing.
Ahhh, Deutsch, something is afoot :D Obviously he is some kind of continent-switching, shape-shifting, non-ageing alien type thing. Well, obviously
I always seem to get stuck on simple 5s... horrible blindspot... can anyone help me with my last 3 ? ra5 (not levelled ground) sa5 (not someone using a tool) so5 (not the planter or the biblical city) Thanks
Babs-I mean one of the ro5 and one of the ro6
ROFLMAO Babs1
babs - the two ro 6s build off of the ro 4/5 before them
Miyavi, well, duh! LOL
ty harpjane...yet another duh..
Did your Mr Finley get a manic look in his eyes when burning/exploding things?
ra 5/12 is a toxic gas
got the ro7, just 1 7 left, but no idea what it is!
ty pinecone, saw it at once.... which is weird because as far as I know I don't *know* any toxic gasses.
Actually, he was very mild mannered. but he had his moments.
Ishult have you got the w7
OK. I'm stuck on a to 4/5. I have the two that sound alike, and the group of male cats. (Sort of the animal kingdom in this puzzle). Any clues for my last one?
Fmitch i have
got wi7
Maybe not the same guy then :) Mine very unkindly laughs at me because I screamed when some hydrogen popped
also ro7, di7 & ar7 so what's missing?
Ish..you do know there's a 2 letter list a couple of scrolls back in the log?
trish...I believe the so word you want ends in a 3-letter word for hostile conflict
I do now
de Ish.....*now moving into a vacuum*
ty again :) gonna get my last one for me? ;)
one more request for an6 clue?
"Stay free my misery, I wanna show you how and low..." Good greif. Engrish, Engrish...
so i'm looking so de7
Ishult do you need a clue for di7 and ar7? I have got them.
Greif? What's greif? GRIEF
Babs.... a + no 5/12
oops, pluralised for the 6 Babs
ty tt vm
yw... nicely decoded, since I muddled it up
ty 2 for price of 1!
Marc: Ts5 ends with a fruit drink
De6 & 7 anyone got a clue?
Thanks Kelstar got it a long time ago. Any clues for ad5 the one that does not have to with liking someone a lot.
marc, a + opposite of up
ad5 = a + feathers
de + de4/6 backwards extra vowel for the 7
hi all - second letter list was posted to the chat log at about 4 am PST.
trishtrash - that has got to be the best clue I've seen today. Sorry guys works is interupting babble time again...
that would be 6 am in the chat log. more like 6:15.
Thanks for saying so FMitch, I'm just throwing them out 'til pinecone finishes my grid for me!
tt...i thought there wasn't a de 4? am I being clueless? or what?
don't understand your clue, de can't be in the word twice?
my bad ... it's de + di 4/6 reveresed
there is no de4. try de_ reverse of di4
Sorry, Miyavi, I was off looking for lists. Laughing for being startled is unkind!
clearly my typing is shot <_<
Don't worry about it Deutsch, I'm being distracted by lovably bad Engrish :D "stay active and stay young, what self bades street?" Oh dear
thanks for the help with the lists........
so trish...is the sa 5 the only one you are missing?
got the d6 & 7, thanks all
Pinecone, yes it is... mad that I haven't monkey-typed it by now
da 5? You guys ever feel like you've tried every monkey type and a2z and still come up empty? or is it just mois?
take your da4 (sunrise) and drop another vowel in the middle.
opposite of dusk with an extra vowel, Babs. And yeah, I know the feeling. And yeah, it always seems to be a 5 letter word!
Sorry to be pedantic but moi is moi, mois is month...
tyvm tt...now I know I have company!
MONAT! ...*cheesy grin* I've had my say :)
Haz...oopsie...excuse me for my poor french...I promise not to go there again!
It's okay, Babs - I'm a fiend in disguise.
k haz...oh, I see your hubby is a vet...spent some time there yesterday (not with your hubby though, alas)...got a little mystery going with one of my pups. :-(
Sounds expensive.... lots of tests?
xray and heart worm test $200, may be recommending special heart xray...some coughing and bronchial light spots showing up on the picture.. he doesn't exercise, so I wonder if that's caught up with him...showing a bit of a hear murmur too..chiro adjusted him today..
*sighs* How come 'doner' isn't a word? For when you finish before someone. "I'm doner than you are!"
Heart worm is something completely unknown in the UK, thank goodness, but the whole picture sounds nasty enough. What breed/age of pup?
Aww, Babs, that must be a worry. Truly hope it turns out to be nothing/easily managed. It's horrible when something is amis with the fluffy ones :/
sorry to hear that Babs :( My pup wasn't very well yesterday, either - though as she's bouncing again today, I think it must have just been something horrid that she ate!
he's a handsome 6yo Tibetan Terrier...never runs like my other 2, kinda quiet. I just gave him lots of supplements today, want to see if things change that way...
If he's never exercised as hard as the other pups, he's maybe had a long-standing heart condition. I hope you get it sorted out.
trish ...I found the second sa~!!
*begs like a begging thing*
Thanks all for your thoughts and caring! My approach with health for my animals and family is go for natural stuff first...lots of times at odds a bit with conventional medicine as a result.
Is anyone else having trouble with the babbler anonymous?? How many words today?
you are so cute like this but....sa + a three letter word for a stick
...Is anyone elses chat log full of gaps?
yes.......... weird :/
we are so lucky with our vets - they feel the same, and are much more likely to tell you how to treat something naturally than stuff the furkids full of medicine - unless *necessary* of course!
the other sa is a tool + er
Mine is...
yes but it seems to be Babs' fault.. ;-P
It just seems to be around Babs 1's messages - the gap, I mean.
ezboard which hosts babanon has been hacked
Oh that sucks...
yes, the chat jumps are annoying
grrr...hackers...they think they are so cool. I am remembering that old movie with Angelina jolie that tried to make them look sooo cool
Ooookay... oooh, Hi Babbler! :D
Pinecone, I think you're just teasing me ;) Speaking of sticks, I think I need a beating with the cluebat.. I still don't see it.
How many word are in today's puzzle? Please
last to5, pls anyone? I have: not frogs, not cleanser, holy books, tall building. ty : )
holy book without the h, pluralised Babs.
Coming down to the end. Need a clue for ro6 and ro7 I have the ro6 which pl where cowboys ride bulls
hiya miya : ) how are you today?
gosh, sorry, must be the ink one you need
Ooooh, thanks Marc! I was looking for that ro6! Sadly, I'm listening to a song called ro6 too! *slaps self*
nope, trish... that wil be the 'not cleanser' : )
marc, pluralize
I'm good thanks Babs! Bit of a grey day up till now though :/ How are you?
marc the 2 you are looking for are the same sound as the one you have but start with the ro4/5 strange spellings rather than the traditional way
sad to say, same here... :/ better now, tho'! :D
Miyavi - how are you today. My log has lots of gaps in it I understand we have a hacker Ugggggggg.........
amphibians, babs?
morngin all.... babler anonymous doesn't seem to be working.... any idea on how many words today?
Marc: try the western show, spelled like the street
lol..... trish.. nope, that would be 'not frogs' :D
Hacker?! Did someone say hacker?! *runs around the room screaming*
187 words today
187 words total today
trish...think about a fishing ____
lol, Babs, t + sound you make when you hurt yourself! Sorry for not paying closer attention to your query, got kitties bouncing about for food
tanks!
And, uh, hi Faerie :) I'm good thanks, how are you?
you can call me Faerie or Faerie Kae. I'm at work so I really don't have alot of time to babble. Faerie Kae after work.......Haz what is you icon??????? Very interesting 420
DarleenMB, how do you know it's hackers on BabAnon?
LOL!!..... trish.... nope!! that would be 'tall building'!! that means there's only one left in your list now.... that's the one I'm after ! : )
*showers pinecone with choklit and sparkly things* how the heck did I not monkey-type it???! Thanks for finishing the thing for me :)
oh kitties. -- Trish, I have two kitties, how many do you have?
My icon is a picture of a plant called 'Bells of Ireland'. I thought it was appropriate for Green day and have held on to it!
A slightly different ending to the tall building one, Babs. Think to + kiddies version of 'ouch'
Kelsar great clue and got it.
Haz - it is Beautiffffffuuuuullllllll..... ...........
congratulations on finishing trishtrash!
Oooh, Haz, you just reminded me. You know you were asking me what visual kei was this morning? If you refresh, my icon is a (er...very tiny) Visual Kei band :)
that's the one, trish! thx : )
Pinecone... yay for kitties! I've got two ginger (orange) toms... fat, lazy beasts who used to be feral but now think life without radiators is gauche.
Is there any other way to get the list???
Thank you - I like it too - proper name is Moleculla, I think but Bells of Ireland sounds nicer
Miyavi, I've refreshed. They remind me of the Bay City Rollers... (cue howls of outrage from Miyavi)
Okay, thanks to Pinecone, I am out of here... anyone need a badly worded, misspelled clue before I go? ;)
trish - I've got a short-haired white boy kitty and a small black girl kitty...sompletely spoiled!
*narrows eyes* I'll let you off that one because they're so small...
Haz I have Bells of Ireland in my gardens also and yes they are Beautiful
lol, pinecone... a black and a white cat? They've got all the clothing covered between them, I bet nothing is safe, heh.
helloo everyone......it's a cliche but thank GOD it is Friday............happy weekend and happy shopping!!!!!!!!1
You'll be too young to remember the band in question. Their taste in clothes was appalling - music wasn't great either..
I've heard of them though :) But Dir en Grey (my visual kei band) have great music! All, er, in Japanese though o_O
Hi Mimie, Hi everyone, been IMing so missed some. Haz, Bay city rollers? S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night!
Oh, and Haz, weren't they from somewhere over your way?
Nice chatting to you Pinecone & Babs, thanks for the help, good luck everyone & good night :)
goodnite, trish!
Bay City Rollers were originally from Edinburgh. They had a big following in Northern Ireland as well, but I was never a fan.
Hiya - kust a quick hello ; )
kust a quick hello to you, too.
Howdy :)
:D
Hi anj! How's lola?
Hi babbler, I didn't see you!

Anyone got a clue for the mo5/12 i`m missing....pleeeeze :)

Will do Lotti - thanx hun x Miya, did you say Sweet then?? Now there was a good group ; )
Deutsch, go jaywalking and you would be amazed how many turn up ; ) Right, foodski - BBL : D
Do you need a whole trubcheon? Maybe you could make do with a truncheonette.
Lotti, trust me, this is the fate that awaits all who dare insult Dir en Grey. Ye all be warned. Either that or Kyo will come and EAT you
See you later chick :)
*chasing Anj around the room with the heaven's truncheon device* bad, bad man!
torgone! howdy and LOL!

Thanks guys... I was starting to feel left out of the loop.
Cool :) Okay, gotta go munch before I fade away :)

oh hi jen! didn't see you
de7 - histologically benign fibrous neoplasms originating from the musculoaponeurotic structures throughout the body.
I need some help again sa5 not the guy that cuts wood sa6 so5 two of them not the won that sounds like the guy we got rid of in Iraq spelled differently Help please
Does anyone have a fabulous clue for the de7?
Hi all - apparently there are issues w/Babble today, eh? Any idea how many words?
I take it you got that from a dictionary
googled it
187 words today
what did you type on google to get it
is anyone else having problems with Babs Anon?
everyone
de7 take your de6 and add the 4th vowel after the 4th letter
yes bable anon isn't working
so5/18 one who spreads seeds...
sa5..." A many-stringed lute of northern India that is played with a plectrum." But if you take the guy in the Bible that ordered the census around the time of Jesus' birth and change the first letter... voila
Yes, Siamese Lady. No one can get to it. Don't know why. Someone posted the second letter list in the log, however, if yoou go back five or six screens.
I must confess that I don't have the de6. (Hangs head in shame)

Oooops.....I just stepped out for a mo and didn`t tell anyone and now loads have left :( ((((((((((((((TOR))))))))) ))))))) XOXOXxxxxxxxXOXOX See ya Miyav..... Hi Sam :)
smithchick, you're a doll. Thanks. Now have it pasted to a Word Doc.
hi lotti do you have a clue for the ro7?
Marc, I don't have iteither. Can you give me a clue for the de6 so that I can then figure out your wonderful de7 clue?
de6 last three letters short for in between. Add a constanant for the 3rd letter
de4: Any of various green unicellular freshwater algae of the family Desmidiaceae, often forming chainlike colonies. Marc's clue is great, but just in case....
For the other so5, take the one you have for a person who puts seeds in the ground and change the second vowel.
ro7 cowboys ride bulls at these but the first 4 letters spell like a street for ro6 then make it pl
Sam its another name for street, lane or avenue......then add the last 3 letters of dusty cattle rink ....... ro****
Thanks Jen
Bless you jen and marc! Got those pesky d's!
I now need clues for sa5 the one that doesn't cut trees and sa6
Marc, do you have a clue for mo5/12???
three to go and cant find them...mo5, ro4, and ro5...apparently not the easy ones...any help would be appreciated...plzzzz
Marc, sa5 clue I gave at 11:49
Lotti Hi haven't seen you in awhile mo5/12 is pl of mo4/4 when you don't have enough and want mo*** but change the last vowel
thanks lotti it took a bit of time but it was worth it!
Jen I know what a sitar is but couldn't get a sa5 out of it. Can you give me another clue
does anyone have the de7?
Take the king from the Bible who wanted to kill baby Jesus, and change the first letter to S
Got it and it wasn't a sitar Thanks Jen do you have the clue for the sa6
That person who ordered the cenus at the time of Jesus birth and change the first letter was very helpful. I think that may also be the name of a department store. (The sa5 clue) NOt sure of the store spelling. We don't have such places in little ole Dover, AR.
Speed gave the clue for de7 at 11:53
Marc, add a vowel at the end of that sa5.
Marc. Just add a vowel to the end of the non-sitar.
Actually, Augustus Caesar ordered the census. You have to go to the three wise men to get the name of the public official needed in this clue.
mab-did Doris Day ever meet ZZ Top? Just curious.
Just thought I was done with d's. Does anyone have a clue for the do5 that doesn't have to do with a widow's allotment? or the one right after that?
I don't know harpjane. She's almost the opposite of zz top, yes?
smithchick - change the last two letters to sound like an exclamation of pain
Hi everyone!
I'm stuck on the m's. Could I pretty please have a clue for the 5/14? (I have the "manners or styles" mo 5/14, need the other one.)
Hi Grey.
Hi Grey.
harp -- one twelfth of a year
GW-thanks. how embarassing!
GreyWoulf, I've got that one. Do you have the other?
Yw - no worse than me and the rhino yesterday ;)
I shall further display my stupidity by asking for an mo 4/5 clue. The one I need is either hte last or second to last. I have "tufts of hair."
bye everyone!
Bye, Sam.
1 to go...it is an ro5...not sure which...i have the 2nd crop of hay...highways...bull riding place...and past tense of the valentine gift...what is left????
smith-the other mo 5/14 is the plural of the preceding mo 4/6--"manners, styles, ala mo___ pie"
Bye speedfreak.
Got that it's the other do5 that I'm missing. Also the ma6.
Change your middle consonant on the past tense of valentines gift.
sorry, smithchick, my error -- the other do5 is a 5/12 which is an archaic second person singular present tense (Whither go*** thou?)
Hi Babbleonia! How is everyone?
Hi MamaBear. Snow day?
Hi Mama
HI everyone
Hey Mama -- doing pretty good! Though Babanon is apparently missing in action right now (*Hug*)
Hey there Mamabear
Hi Saphyre.
No, unfortunately, I am at work. But I protested by not coming in until 10:00. But then, I didn't leave until 10 last nite either!!! Got about 8 inches of the pretty white stuff!
Mama - how much snow did you get?
Bless you GreyWoulf! I may be in love with you!
Hi saphyre
Good evening fellow babblers :)
We got about 4-5 inches here too
About 8 inches.... you know that accident at Midway Airport last nite where the plane skidded off the runway into traffic? A little 6 year old boy was killed... and 2 of his siblings are in critical condition. Can't get it off my mind. I am only 5 minutes away from Midway - the area is a mess. Plane is still in the street... very sad.
T'is still snowing here in Mass. A big old nor'easter is dumping about a foot on us. Pretty at the moment.
smithchick...that doesnt make sense on the ro5...helppppppp
Hi Lola Glad to see you.I`ve been missing a daughter for too long.
smithchick - love not necessary, but appreciated Hugs are ALWAYS legal tender though ;D
Hi mom! Missed you too! Is lotti still about??
Lola! How are you doing, poor thing?
She was earlier.I`ll give her a ring if you like.
1 to go...it is an ro5...not sure which...i have the 2nd crop of hay...highways...bull riding place...and past tense of the valentine gift...what is left????
Mama -- the grid is pretty friendly today -- 187 words, but most are 4 and 5 letter only five 7's I actually finished this AM before turning in :)
Hi mab! Much better thanks :) Mom, don't worry but will you tell her she's got mail from me if I don't see her?
Ouwachita...That's because I'm an idiot and the last consonant is also different. Did you ever watch an old sketch comedy with martin and his cohort r****?
smithchick...i have that one...that is the 2nd cutting of hay
Smithchick used a word, smithchick used a woooooord, (hee hee)
Message delivered Lola.Take care of yourself and keep getting better.Cold weather doesn`t help.
ouwachita -- the ro you are missing is a meal --ro*** beef
Hi everyone, back with scrambled eggs and bacon. Have a little Lola, just a bite!
grey..I have that one too...forgot to put it on list
mo 5/12? not the poetry word, the other one?
Thanks mom! Will do and haven't noticed the cold weather much as I've been under the duvet most of the time! :D
mo5/12 ...The thing that makes a vehicle run. (one of them)
1 to go...it is an ro5...not sure which...i have the 2nd crop of hay...highways...bull riding place...and past tense of the valentine gift... and the type of beef....what is left????
Hi deutsch! *lola helps herself to piece of crispy bacon* Thanks!
I don't know if I dare start, GW.... not much free time lately. I hate deadline time... it's all consuming. And nobody appreciates it....
Any ideas on the ir words? I have the household appliance (you know, the one I never use!)
Ouwachita: first three what you do in a boat with oars. Then a vowel, followed a consonant.
harp - what is under the hood of your car?
harp...add a vowel to that one
lola - you feeling poorly???? Hope you feel better *mamabear passes Lola a nice cup of hot tea*
Harp add a vowel to the "one you never use"
Stick a vowel on the end of the unused household item. Another one makes me think of a rant that starts with a t without the t.
*lola starts to feel spoilt* Hi mamabear! Have been but much better now thanks :)
Also, the plural of the last clue.
Mama - it'll go pretty quick and it will help take your mind off other unpleasnatness for a while -- besides it's not like the rankings mean that much to you, right? ;D
GreyWoulf, I lost all mechanical ability when I married a mechanic..... I USED to know what was under the hood of my car!
Psst Lola!!!(whispers)Have this box of chocs. slides box across ether.
harp -- a helicopter has ro***s to provide it's lift, change the r to m
Hi babe : D ((((xxx)))) Feeling better then??

As long as we are gift-giving, I have this warm puppy (a chocolate brown cocker spaniel) to keep Lola's feet warm as she sits at the computer. *mab hands over puppy with papers indicating he's had his immunizations*
Thanks Ouwachita.
thanks GW.... I hope so too
*lola accepts puppy and gives it a thorough snuggle before letting it settle in her lap* Thanks mab! :)
Maybe you can leave early today, Mama. It only seems right since you stayed late last night.

Oh! it's a family reunion! (tears well)
can anyone help me with no4 (I have the facial feature, the seaweed, bend your head, and the lymph....) and the no6?

No hockey so I`m fine :0)
Hi GW...missed you in my excitement of being reunited with Lola :) !!!!
Aw, thanks sis! Miyavi, much better now thanks :)
lol, good to hear! :D Hey Woulf! How are you?
Great Lola :)
(((((Sis)))))
Has the icon for tomorrow been decided yet?
Ponies bite and kick At least they do on the chincoteague
Abolutely cannot find a blasted to5. I have the green creature in plural, the stuff that goes in your copier, the tall structure and the one after it, what am I missing?
Miy - doing good -- we got some snow this AM while I was asleep so the world looks much brighter and prettier today! Deutsh -- are you near chincoteague? I have always wanted to attend Pony Penning Day since I was a kid!
Deutsch, people bite and kick! I saw a clip where the drummer of X Japan threw a drumstick into the audience at the end of a live. Within ten seconds, the drumstick was in several different bits and many of the fans came out scratched, bruised and BITTEN!
Deutsch, Chicoteague is my favorite place on earth. I love having the nature preserve, and then being able to climb over the dunes to the sea. Love it. And crazy about those ponies. (Misty of Chincoteague)
Smithchick to rhymes with david bo---
Ah, lucky you Woulf...but, but, you got a song stuck in my head today! My English teacher mentioned babble, and I was thinking about all the people here, and when I was thinking about you a Miyavi song just came into my head! I think it's because the title translates to "the lone wolf"...weird :)
Yes, Mab and Grey, I'm as near as Baltimore. REad the book as a child in landlocked midwest. Never thought I'd see them, tho'!
smithchick - plural of the to4/4, the Jesish holy book
oops -- Jewish holy book -- sorry bout that :)
Smithchick,to5 , plural of hebrew books of law.
Right.....must go!!! See you guys tomorrow :) Byeeeee!!!!!!!
'bye sis (((xxx))) Great to see you again! :)
Later, lotti, (and not litti) LOL
daeng, are you there?
bye lotti.
mab and Deutsch - when I was in 3rd or 4th grade our project was to write a letter to an author. I got one of the best responses in the class from Margurite Henry -- she sent a bunch of stiff, including a b&w picture of Misty and Stormy
That is soooo cool, Grey! do you still have the stuff?
That's very cool, Grey. Very.
Miy - that's kinda cool
Thank you macadam!!!
My pleasure Smithchick.
Deutsch -- I don't know anymore :( I have lost a bunch of stuff through the years -- but I think I will look through what I have - keep your fingers crossed :)
Not in the middle of a test, Woulf! :D Unfortunately that set me off on a MYV jig for the rest of the day...I didn't realize I was humming Fuminsho no Nemuri-Hime (Insomniac Princess) out loud until I started attracting some funny looks...
Grey, amazing what leaves and stays. good luck in your search!
Thanks, Deutsch -- if I find it I'll scan it and archive to disc
I have a friend who wrote to C.S. Lewis, when he was 8. He wrote to ask him to please write more stories! He got a nice letter in reply.
Clue for the SA-6, anyone?
Anj, you still there babe??
It is always nice when authors take the time to reply to their readers.
A read not a thing by lewis until I was an adult. Would have totally missed the narnia series but for studying it in a class.
Harp, I once wrote to an author I liked, but forgot that he was foreign and that his book had been translated! I recieved a letter written entirely in Japanese characters...
my mother gave me a set of brass bookends that once belonged to hemingway
kelstar - add a vowel to sa5/12
Oh, Ren, that's very wonderful.
Hi ren-- great job on the icon!
Miy - lol -- did you ever get it translated?
Cool, Ren!
Yes, I agree with Grey. Kind of Santa Z.
or santa top.
or zanta top.
Woulf, I never did! The only bits I understood where the question marks :D
thanks wolfie - i did it while i wanted on my spybot to finish scanning last night. I'll save it for eb since she's the inspiration of so many of us getting into paint
Yup...just off reading some stuff on Michelle Branch : )
miy -ROFL
Miyavi! LOL
Are you finished then?
...of course, but i'm waiting for you ; )
I spent ages trying to translate it but ended up getting my kanji mixed up, and wondering why he was saying "very Christmas" in May.
Gotta go now.Take care Lola.So glad to see you back.
ok - ice cream break over - back to the legal stuff 8) see ya'll later tonight
So long, macadam
later days, macadam!

GreyWoulf: Thanks... but I see I dont have that sa5 either.. last 2 words!
'bye Macadam : )
I have a friend who called Annie Dillard and talked to her on the telephone. She was in the book.
35 words to go. Back to work! Will finish tonight.
That's wild, Mab!
Babe, still got 5 to find (bit slow after enforced babble break) but I need to take a break, back is sore :/ Will you be around later?
See you later, harpjane!
kel - for the 6, use 1st 3 of the sa4/4 then add a poem
Bye harpjane.
Yup...gotta do some xmassy things but I will stay logged on babe : )
for the 5, drop the last letter
Okay, see you in about half an hour :) (((xxx)))
so long, harpjane!
Yea! I have all the D's! *looks at stats, stops waving arms* where did that come from? BBL need to start laundry *sigh*

still won't load, lupe? Odd... really, laundry now
..... finished time to go eat! : )
Yay Babbler : )
Brava Babbler!
WOO! GO BABS! :D
I have a bad headache anyway - won't be doing too much real babbling anyway - but I wonder why? why? why?
Yea! babbler! *notices PJs walking toward washer* Oh, bother!
Good job Babbler!
congrats, Babbler :)
I think, at times like this, a nod is as good as a wink to a blind badger
Down to four m's. Clue for ma6? Anyone, anyone?
grey woulf- you inspired me lastnight. my husband and i finished the puzzle for the first time! it was a great feeling. thanks
Excellent, nava! And - no thanks necessary, but appreciated :D
smithchick -- think bugs -- a praying ma**** (change the last letter)
smithchick...preying ma_____ but change last letter for a d
GreyWoulf - are you home today? I'm at work, sneaking in a little Babble time
Thanks, tbear and GreyWoulf. Now to the mo's!
JB - yes I am -- finish the grid earlier this AM -- a personal best on time Was just passing through when I got sucked into the chat, LOL
Go jb! sneaking on to babble at work!!!
Mab, did you get anywhere with Last's radio stream??
JB - how bas was the snow this AM? -- it didn't start here until about 4ish and was done when I got up at 10ish
Shh, don't tell anyone. No one's around that are usually here, plus I've got my office door closed. Now, if the pesky internet police don't find me...
I tagged some items last night, but I'm still experiencing bad audio. I must not have something connected properly. I did the two downloads over again, but still having problems.
Ok, I have to go now -- time to play with my daughter and find her snowpants so we can roll around in the snow1 :D I'll try to be back later (*hugs for everyone*)
Sam, surely you go on during your ICT lessons at school? I know I do! ...Or am I just teaching you bad habits? :D
ps: quick one before Coronation Street starts..... Theme tomorrow : Shoes. (my choice!) : )
Oh, I was SO happy to see all the snow this morning, and then it turned to RAIN, dang it. Came in on Septa bus Route L. The only sliding was when the driver slowed down to stop to pick up passengers. They had to jump away real fast! Remember, folks, when it comes to a tie, the bus ALWAYS wins!
Later Woulf, have fun :)
Howl, Woulfie!
*drives past anj + slow-mo tosses him keys on a zz top keychain*
Shoes! Brilliant, Babs!
miyavi-my freind and I did once!
Just two to go. Can someone help with the mo6?
Bye Grey, have fun! Bye Babs!
YAY! Go Sam, go Sam! That's the spirit boy :D
Never mind, got it. I have one mo4 to go and I have to leave. RAWR!!! Back later, bye all!
Smithchick: don't be brash and showy, be demur and proper. Or, just add a consonant to the mo5 above it.
smithchick...I'll try to be mo-----,even tho I have got it
Ciao, Smithchick.
Miy, Sam, what are ICT lessons?
tbear, looks like you have a tipsy panda there.
Mab, in my school they are lessons where dim teachers sit you down in front of a computer, and expect you to behave and do what they say. I spend most of my ICT lessons on babble and o-re-sa-ma
...ICT stands for Imformation Computing Technology. Apparently.
At 70 words! Reverting back to paper until later tonight. Hopefully the 'cuzzi will be open, GreyWoulf has the keys while SmeltzDog is away. Or the sauna. Bring your covered sippy cups!
oops, finger slip. Information!
Bye JBs. Ok, now I need to know what o re sa ma is.
O-re-sa-ma is Miyavi's official site :) Lot's of PV samples on there, which I can listen to through headphones. Until I'm caught.
I would think the students would know more about computers than the teachers. I am trying to listen to some J rock, but my computer is getting poor audio right now. Am working on it.
...I can generally get away with this, since my hapless ICT teacher is usually trying to stop everyone else playing their favourite ICT lesson game...it's called 'Spank the Monkey'. I value my sanity enough not to ask
Woo, go Mab! *cheesy grin* I lurrrrve you
I think my media player is somehow out of sync with music sites. It's very frustrating, but I will make it work.
back for a bit. Hi everyone Miyavi, just listened to and watched to my first miyavi video. Kinda cool, afterall!
Need clue for the mi6 please?
WOO, DEUTSCH! *bounds over on space hopper to give Deutsch a massive hug*
mary - mi6 is yummy with sunday brunch
Which song did you find?
Woohoo! Finished! I really didn't think I would today!
Nice one, Atalante! :D
lbav, thanks, got it
*Massive hug back* Love the space hopper I think it was freedom fighter
Woots for atlante
Anyone need cluuuuuuuues?
*cheesy grin* Freeeedom...freeedom!
may I have a clue please for the ma6?
MA6 - insect thing = praying ma**** - change the last letter
atalante - thank you
Miyavi, now I just watched something doing the days of the week. Not sure what it was.
Atalante, may I just say how relieved I am that word wasn't "mantit"
Something doing the days of the week? huh?!
....Moobie!! : )
And what's with the violin music?
after tomtit being accpetable, mantit wouldn't surprise me!
Yes, Anj, moobie *shudders*
I'm finished :)
Violin music?! What are you listening to?!
Moobie! What did I miss? I was investigating j rock
Nice one, Lola! :D ...tomtit?!
Any clues ar 7/28?? Please
I don't know - I've always thought the term "man boobs" was perfectly acceptable
Yay! Radox bath then babe?? ; )
Well done Atalante and Lola!!!!!!!!!!
Ah, now for some education. The proper, scientific, honest-to-God word for manboobs is bitchtits. Sounds weird, but my best friends brother learnt it in medical school
When I go to the o-ra-sa-ma.com site, and click on the rose, the violins and a new page pop up.
Ooh, good idea babe! But how about we put it in the jacuzzi instead? :)
Aaaaaand I was beeped. *sighs* beeping out medical terms, what is the word coming to? B*tch-tits, then
ROFLMAO, Miyavi!
Words are a wonderful thing lol : ) Jacuzzi it is then. Everyone ready to chill out?
Not kidding, though! It really is! ...He also has a teacher called professer Ding-ding. Sad but true
Mab, has Anj got you onto lastfm? If so, can I make you one of my friends?? :) Has anyone seen joelgee lately?
Professor Ding Ding? I'm sure there are laws in place to prevent that now... Heck, 90% of my old teachers would be locked up lol : )
Lola, as a matter of fact, I haven't seen him
Bingo! That thought wemt thru' my mind in Bath this afternoon. Where is Joelgee???
Me too Mab - what's your handle on Last??
No I haven't seen Joel. It worries me when someone vanishes. I am on lastfm. My user name is tikvaeve.
I haven't either and I WAS looking.......LOL
Anj...you think about joelgee in the bath?!? *looks a little upset*
Be nice...Professer Ding-Ding is not one of us :D
I haven't seen him for at least a week. Hope he went on holiday without telling us... :/
hmmmm....
Deutsch, I see what you mean about the violins! ...I wish I knew. It was probably just Something he Had To Do.
Lola....I said in the week maybe my threatening to keep him in my wardrobe (to look after me permenantly) was too much for him...
Thanks, Miyavi, I thought I went to the wrong site. Mab, have you changed?
task! task! task! Wags finger at Lola Bad Lola, Bad! LOL...the CITY dear, not the tub : )
To a beard-trimmer, yes.
tbear, somehow I don't think that would be too much for our joel ;)
I agree.
LOL! I know babe... just couldn't resist! Besides, I know there is only one thing you think about in the bath now.... ;)
lol Mab : ) I've just added you as a friend on Last btw...
...where's the soap?
I wouldn't question it, Deutsch :) When a new single came out, a wedding march started playing when you came onto o-re-sa-ma. And when he was trying to quit smoking, you'd hear his voice squealing: "I need nicotine! Has anyone seen my nicotine baby?!"
How many words are in this puzzle?
Ok.
187
Lola didn't dare tell lotti earlier...got fotos developed but they made the wrong set into a cd....so still no evidence....btw...you two!!!!
Intersting, Miyavi I may need to book mark the site.
...exactly :)
Great! :D ..."I need nicotine...has anyone seen my nicotine baby?!" Quite literally criminally insane :D
Ooh, what are they like then tbear? *lola says with a wince*
*collapsing in giggles* Yet another clip of Dir en Grey harassing Shinya in a bar, yet it's still funny :D
Two good two not so good.....don't worry you can vet them..I hate photos too
Toshiya 8_0
could someone help me with the to's between ripped and the building? and maybe the os?
sorry...thinking aloud o_O
Thanks tbear :)
nyven, for the to4 change your last vowel on the ripped one to another vowel :)
nyven, the os is like the movie award but without the third letter :)
os4/4 - a statuette won by a film you didn't C? ; )
tres clever, anj!
*clapping* Anj, I am in awe :)
Who's a clever little fellow then?
Well, er, I, ahem, *coughs* always try ot do my, er, um, best : ) *looks shyly at feet*
Ooh babe! Been doing the cryptics without me?? :) Hi torgone :)
Hola lola! How are you feeling? Better, I trust.
Yes thank torgone :) Did you take good care of my sis while I was gone?
Miya, I just set up a last.fm account and am listening to Orange Range.
Of course. Many times...
Yay Deutsch - what's your handle? : )
Orange Range? I haven't heard a lot by them...I'd be just as a beginner as you are! :)
lol! Good :) Well fellow babblers, I'm afraid I must love you and leave you. See you all tomorrow :)
'nite babe. Snuggle up warm, you don't want an encore... (((xx))) : D
I'm not sure if it's the name of the song or the group baffled I am
stay warm, Lola!
Later lola. Take care.
lol! Orange range is a band :)
That's exactly why I'm going so early babe. Are you going to be babbling at all tomorrow?
Okay Let me see if I can find Miyavi *looks for cane* feeling a little old here.
Lo, no, I'm on the road running the speed traps at 10am and will be in Bracknell for 11:30, Soho by 2:30 and Blotto by 11pm : )
LOL! Have fun then babe. Say hi to the guys for me ;) (((xxx)))
hehehe...never old, Deutsch :) Just watched the 'making of' of the Freedom Fighters PV... ... *blissed out*

...tbear, know anyone who is rockin' the ganj?? st6!
Darleen...now I'm supposed to say I wouldn't know...thx you're a pal
Christofleur....oh Christofleur......Lol Anj
Hi everyone -- late start for me today. Tried early this morning but our server "had issues" -- which at this end meant everything was slower than molasses.
Hi cybernan!
Nothing slower than molasses in December...
Hey Cybernan! What time is it over there?
Hey Jera! How are you? :)
5 words to go & freezin' my @$$ off... could someone help me??
The de's have me stumped...
Hi cybernan...
I need a clue for wo 4/8. I have: 1. accustomed to, 2. dressed, 3.an outdated old English word. what am I missing?
jera, its de+ di4 backwards, and then a variant.
Harp, swap the last 2 letters of that old english word
mtnjock-okie dokey! That worked!
took me forever to find those (the de' s and wo's) today, any help with the ma 6?
ma6 is like one of those creepy breen bugs, but end with d not s...
mtnjock...I'll swap you ma6 for sa 6
ma6, like an insect, a praying ma----, just change the last letter
I need more with the de hints... all my di4's end with a letter that is not next to an, that I can tell... maybe my brain is frozen solid...
saving the s' and m's for last, 20 to go! sorry, no sa6
Jera Miy.....come on...don't give it all away that easily....only kidding....sa6 pls
Jera - it is the di 4/6...
sa6 = add an e to sa5
Jera, your first di dealing with light

It's 1:08 pm -- we are 8 hours behind GMT
hello everyone
hey miy! <<(((((((hug))))))))>>
*jumps into Mtn's arms* Hey Mtn! :D
Mtn - do you have another clue for the de 7??? Please it is killing me!!!
Got it, tyvm!
think of polar*** pics or film.
I need last no4/5, have swelling & head movement
Jera thx for sa6 and n4 is plural french for name
think of the do4/5 that deals with submissives (also, part of the french term for writing under a different name, a no** de whatever)
*bounding up to Mtn on space hopper* how have you been?
Thank you
Whoo-hoo, thanks, tbear... 2 to go!! I need the first ro6 & the ro7, please...
good, a lot better, but I have seen some condolances for you my pet. How are you? (raised eyebrow).
Jera is the ro6 the plural of riding the bull
Jera, think cowboys and bucking broncos, spelt the high-way ; )
Jera, do you have the cowboy convention?
I'm fine thanks :) All the better for my space hopper :D *leaps into Mtn's arms* I haven't seen you on in several days
add an a to make it sound like the street in Beverly Hills.
Work had me on a secret mission, I usually babbled early in morning or late at night. And Darleen, your icon seems a bit ... risque... (ho ho ho)
I have the cowboy 5 & 6, but I'm drawing a blank on your add an a clue... don't see the connection...
ro4/5 meanstreet, plus the cowboy convention endings.
Oooh....secret mission, hm? Great, now I've got the James Bond theme tune in my head :/
Jera cowboy ro6,incl an a
Gotcha... include an a, not add one... thx
27 words to go! I just want this one to end!
Whoo-hoo! Happy dance of doneness!!
Congrats Jera
can I get a clue on the mo 5/12's?
Silly me, trying to spell the BH street correctly... I should know better in this game... Can I help anyone??

Not bad. Went to my first funeral today so I've had better days

Good evening everyone. Babs, your shoe theme is a stroke of brilliance!
Yeah, had to travel up to Gateshead so I've only just started today
Oh no! I'm so sorry, Yoink...
thanks Mab : ) .... came back to the pc to see if I can draw a pair! (or maybe just the one!)
Thanks MF, I take some solace in the fact that I am pretty lucky to have reached 27 and never had to go to one before
(((( Yoink ))))
Good Idea. You could also play with a photo, as Ren has been doing. I'm dying to try that.
don't know how to do that, Mab...... yet..... : )
I'm sorry to hear about your loss, Yoink. Was it someone close to you?
hey babbler - look at us! I solarized mine in paint 8)
hi ren : ) how did you do that?
(laundrosizing, last load in) (((Yoink)))
yoink - sorry to hear of your loss
...funerals are never fun...but, think of it as a celebration of a life, rather than the marking of a death
Thanks everyone.
((( Miya )))
babbler - in paint box pro - on your tool bar you have Colors - in the drop down is solarize -
:)
Yeah, I think we did that MF, there were lots of people there for her and it wasn't too solemn an occasion
That's good...if you think of it like that, it doesn't hurt so much :)
...Is it just me, or am I patronising an adult?!
It's ok, I know you mean well so it doesn't seem patronising :)
Hi folks! How are yer beards?
Still, I'm sorry...I act too old for my age :/
Hey Sherry! :)
Hi sherry!
No, Miy. You are wise beyond your years. I so agree with you. You seem to have the gift of empathy and an ability to put things in perspective.
Hi Sherry :) MF, don't worry about it, it beats being immature
Salut, Sherry!
you do, Miya (( xxx ))
hey sherry!
Wow, Mab...thank you :')
Not at all, Miy. T'is true.
No, I mean...*brain has dissolved* no really, thank you so much :)
You are most welcome.

Anyone want to give me some 7 hints? I currently have a whole none of them
ar7/28 - ar + vowel + middle feature on your face
Got it, thanks :)
de7/40 - A benign tumor of firm scarlike connective tissue resulting from the proliferation of fibroblasts and occurring most frequently in the abdominal muscles of women who have borne children (google)

Babs, I'm not really a fan, anyone else interesting on there?
mi 6/24 - plant with yellow, ball-like flowers
That is so good. I'm happy for you and for the young man.
he's just introducing them - Jools Holland.... and .. hang on....
Yoink, ooops, I missed who's going to be on.... I'll let you know when I see the green room... : )
Jack Black...who was the Gorilla in new King Kong
Okey dokey, I'm plugged into the headphones with some Interpol right now so it'd have to be good to make me switch
Mary J Blige and Will Young doing the Music
Jools Holland discussing his bands new album
Interpol it is then!
O.K maybe I'm a totally di 4/10... But I still can't get that darn mi 6/24... I don't drink and don't really know plants... I'm sorry.. Any more clues...
Try adding the first three letters of Aaron and Miriam's brother's name, followed by a vowe
kristina, mi = mo4 (meaning more of) change the last letter to first vowel
Vowel!
Kristina, that clue didn't help me anyway as orange juice and champagne makes Bucks Fizz, at least here
Thanks Haz! Should have known that one...got some right down my building...
does nebody no wut to 5/18 is???
Any of various mostly tropical herbs, shrubs, and trees of the genus Mi, having globular heads of small flowers with protruding stamens and usually bipinnate, compound leaves that are often sensitive to touch or light. See silk tree.

Midgette: all along the watch*******

Yeah, it's what Juwiett said . . .

Thanks for the clarification, torgone. Hilarious, by the way.

Has anyone gotten the de 6/27 and de 7/40? I sure could use a clue, thanks.
can any one help with ad5/20? its driving me nuts. Been looking for\it forever!
a + opposite of up
sandr - a vowel and the opposite of up
sandr - "System of Ad5/20"
ar 7/28, anyone?
DE7: A benign tumor of firm scarlike connective tissue resulting from the proliferation of fibroblasts and occurring most frequently in the abdominal muscles of women who have borne children
Mubner, there were some good clues a while back. one was de+your di4/6 backwards then add a letter for the de7. sorry I don't know who posted it, but it was very good.
Cyber - same 3 letters as ar 5/10 + the thing in the middle of your face
ha got it! ty ty. never heard of it and am unlikely to forget it as been looking for ages! thanks again
DE6: Any of various green unicellular freshwater algae
or no 4/4...

Hi walnutchen!

hi sherry
smaller... me too... although, they banned burning wood fire places in our town
cooking marshmellows over the gas stove is just not the same as cooking it over an open flame outdoors... *sigh*
in montana, they let us burn anything. and hunt anything and marry anything
can anyone help with ma5/12? not the big house one
er, in the fireplace, i meant.
LOL! smaller!

hi
Hi animal lover, montana would love you
Hi animal lover!
so how long did this one take people? took me about an hour. i think that's fast. but i don't know how fast other people are so i can't compare.
That sounds quite fast, hushy. It has taken me I don't know how many hours. It takes me a while generally. I do think this puzzle is somewhat easier than normal, but one hour is fast.
i think you are v fast - i still have 27 to get. way behind you. any one help me with the ma6/24 please?
hi hurshy, started about a half hour ago and I'm half way but now I'm off for home, have a good evening all
Hurshy: I did the first half in 1 hour and I'm a lot slower for part 2. Got a little stuck around 76 words left. Am now using BJ's list.
ma 6/24 an insect that prays (you might not be familiar with this form, the last letter is different)
sandr...preying ma_____ change the s
See ya Smaller!
Hurshy...need a hand...ad5/12?
but of course i don't chat much until i finish so that helps me go faster. and i usually start using BJ's list after i get about half the words myself. but i also use www.morewords.com occasionally when i get stuck and that really helps.
ad 5/12 to love, worship, etc.
so shoes tomorrow - i8)
ty v much have it now.
Thx already have that need to check my words only 14 left...
shoes is the theme for tomorrow? i should tell my best friend from college - she loves shoes.

Was victorious again.
Babs, multi-tasking is easy, I'm watching tv, Babbling, playing another 2 games, probably going to be chatting on AIM soon too. What's the chiller cabinet?
re 5/18 was victorious again
duh!!! -- just jumped out and bit me!!!!!! Whew -- with all the server problems we've been having, I wasn't sure I'd finish today.
wow, haz, we are really on the same wavelength
babbler - look at the fiona boots - yes!
Yes, but your wavelength is faster than mine!
Thanks for the help, everyone -- have most of you finished?
btw, hello mom!!!!!
I haven't as yet - it's been a busy day..
nuh-uh, haz, yours came out first
Okay - but you have finished the grid, unlike me.
oh, well, that's small potatoes. you'll do it too and then we'll be even, but your post will remain first forever in the archives. :)
May I please have help with DO6 and NO6? I'm having such trouble with xO words.
hurshy your picture is so cute
Hurshy - I've just taken a closer look at your icon. Where did you find such a relaxed cat?
fiona boots - pink and sparkly ????
do6 a person who causes others to be sad. or a drug that isn't a stimulant.
no 6/21: no + a measure of medicine
i just got the pic off google, i didn't take it myself :)
my own adopted babble mother is ignoring me. *pout*
Thank you cybernan and hurshy.
now now hurshy, my sister wants me on MSN.... btw.... need to have a chat about this adoption thing... not too comfortable with mothering you when I was still learning to read! LOL !
"anything for you" mab "you're our favorite person!" -the penguins, mary poppins
but babs, i put it in my bio and everything!
Time to get supper in the oven -- see you all at the flip.
I like Mary Poppins almost as much as I like Doris Day, hurshy. They have both been role models for me.
poppins rules!!!!!
may we be cousins? Then you would be First Cousin, which sounds good cos it has two meanings? I see EB is already your aunt. oh.... grrrr.... MSN icons....
EB is my aunt because karys adopted you both. if i'm your cousin then she isn't my aunt anymore. :)
but hey, better cousin to the prez than nothing. :)
hey can i pick the icon theme sometime?
oh yeah.!!....... hmmm.... need to think about it some more......... will do once my sister has gone... : )
course you can, hurshy. what would youlike? think sunday's free.
i think i would like bread.
ok everyone can laugh at me now.
LOL !!!!!!!!!! wish I could send you a bouncy icon!!! Hovis it is!! :D
:) :) :) thanks. oh, and i have my shoe icon all picked out.
i'm drawing mine..... stage one is already up....
yes, i see it there babs
might change it if I ruin it....... :/ (it happens!)
Maybe i'll stretch my own artistic abilities with the fabulous tool of MS paint
it looks good so far, babs.
hmm... proportions are a bit off.......
can any one help me with er6/21 have the one meaning wiped out
not for barbie!
er 6/21 (with prev 5/12) the action of the sea on the land, removing bits of it gradually
thanks hurshy- could have sworn i had already entered that!
soz yoink - just saw your post! Chiller Cabinet on Classic FM. on at 2am tonight.. : )
down to my final 3 could i get help with a do5/12 please?
Archaic form of you do
I'll try to remember to check it out if I am stil awake. Refresh for my beautiful artwork
wonderful, Yoink!! :D
Heh, thanks Babs
my shoes go really well with yours. i was going to colour them in, but maybe i'll leave them as they are. shall I?
thanks haz
Yeah, leave them like that, a perfect match!
*hurshy sings, inspired by yoink* one of these days, these boots are gonna walk all over you
:D
i guess i've been pretty effectively converted about theme icon days.
and man is it quiet in here.
am looking for my final one mo5/14 - have the one meaning manner or way - thanks
mo 5/14 the current one is december
I'm still keeping your idea of a free choice day. tho' I notice people seem to feel a bit lost on that day and everyone gravitates towards a theme anyway! it's been xmas and snowmen lately! lol
mo 5/12 - mo plus beginning of red soft fruit
i can't feel lost as long as there are pictures of kittens in the world. :)
Sorry - too late and I can't read my numbers properly.
i love your pic, hurshy. it's adorable!
have finished finally ty all
you must be having trouble with your name then haz. :) "am i haz2456? haz8363? haz 0934?"
Well done!
congrats sandr!
Yes - I'm so old, you see...
HAZ! are you really 1558 years old? or just born in 1558?
congrats sandr
You're right to think the numbers refer to my age in a way. Not born in 1558 but 1st May 1958.
well then, you're not that old, haz. younger than my folks.
Well done sandr
WHERE on EARTH is joelgee?!?!
the universe is unresponsive to my cries.
Only Joelgee knows where Joelgee is, and he's not telling!
By the way, refresh for my new icon.
Hi chat log people.
Hurshy, my guess is he's somewhere else. Hi Hilaryfan
haz - can't make that out - is it medical supplies?
Hello - you've caught me just in time for me to say goodnight. It's time I got some beauty sleep.
Hurshy - on the shoe theme, 'cowslips' are veterinary orthopaedic shoes glued on to cows' hooves to aid healing.
Did any one see the cronicals if narnia, the lion the witch and the wardrobe
haz - ahhh. hilary - no, but planning to go tomorrow
No, the Chronicles have only just been premiered in Britain.
well if everyone else is switching to the shoe icons already.... brb...
refresh!
Don't disturb that cat!!!
here too, haz, today was the first day.
worry not, haz. the cat will rest on until needed again. :)
I want to see it really bad, has any read it?
Ohhh! Twinkly red shoes - are we talking Wizard of Oz?
has anybody READ it? of course, hilary. about a hundred times.
yup those are dorothy's ruby slippers. of course, in the books they were silver slippers, but obviously it would be hard to get a pic of something from a book, and people wouldn't get it.
My daughter is on teaching practice in a local school and accompanied the children to an amateur production of the Wizard. Lots of her youngest children (age 5) were absolutely terrified!
just checking in, but was someone asking about reading the book, Wicked? I've read it, loved it, and wish more people would read the book before seeing the musical..I hope to see the musical in Mpls. this Spring.
TIme for bed. See you all tomorrow.
i was terrified when i first saw the movie about that age. i'm not sure why people think it's a good movie for little kids. :) but actually, the books are not scary at all. there's all this stuff about how nobody can die in oz, and you could be cut up into a thousand little pieces but all the pieces would still be alive and you could be magically put back together.
g'night haz!
The Narnia books are Christian propaganda
yoink, yeah, so?
oops, gotta go!
So that's fine if you're a christian i guess. The story has elements that don't make sense without the earlier books or a knowledge of christanity
hey hursh - love you red ruby slippers
How many p words today?
hey torg = p words as in reference to winkle or words starting w the letter p?
Just one of my id5/12ic jokes. Someone asked that one time, when there were no p's. I thought it was humorously typical of people who asked for clues without checking the log - or even the grid..
lLOL torg - hey sorry i was watching the mars attack movie
hi everybody!
hi t-owl - hey where's steph?
Hi Temple
You still about Babs?
hello
Hi Harpjane
Slow night - I guess some people have lives or something..
Are we doing shoes now? Is ZZ Top out of style already?
ZZTop are not out of style. Bite your tongue!
Harpjane, to be fair it is already saturday for me. That and the fact that the place is dead and I was trying on my new boots
lives? i've still got a gazillion words to find....8)
Ah gots fotey-fo lef ta git.
good evening .... how many words tonight?
Clues for the second set of er 5/12, 6/21 please? I have the one that goes on the end of a pencil.
i got we won't stop til we get to the ninetiiiiiy 5th? floor
er 5/12 and 6 ... what happens to a beach after a storm, where the sand goes
187 total, ak.
ak-thank you! Hand me the fish.....
ocean going fish
187 words, i have 30, guess i'd better work a little harder
Is Babbler's Anonymous back on line yet? I'll be doomed tomorrow if I can't get the second letter list.
it's back on line
good!
can anyone help me with my last word...to 4/5 already have frog, male cats and foot parts past tense
saph--remove a vowel from to5/12.
Thank You!!
I t hink rewad should be a word. You crumple something up, you straighten it out, you crumple it up again. My cat does it all day long. Should be a word.
I agree harpjane, that is my kittens favorite thing to do LOL
Until she gets tired of it and puts it in the dogs water bowl
One word to go. Can I do it? Stay tuned.....
I have been meaning to start a list of "non-words that sound like words" gleaned from Babble monkey-typing. I think it would be a great source of "words" to drop into serious conversations etc. That's why I haven't done it . .
Ta DAAAAAAAH! Finished. Now. Let me think. Should I clean house or read a book? Hmmmm. I just can't decide.... Hm......
harpjane .. Harpjane . . HARPjane . . HARPJANE!!!
I have to get ready for work..be back for the next grid - congrats harpjane and thanks again
ma6 and ma 5, please?
ma6 is like the preying bug but change the last letter
ty, saphyre : )
ma5 estate or ma5 change the last letter of the other ma5
see you later everyone
got one of the z words (surprised to see it) but can't seem to figure out the other. any clues?
bye, saphyre, and ty!
Boi boi saphyre.
i am an id5/12! i cannot find the other id5/6...
owl, change the last letter of the one you have
ak - maybe it's not a familiar "speech form or an expression of a given language that is peculiar to itself grammatically or cannot be understood from the individual meanings of its elements"
72TO-"Elvis has left the building" "I'm having a bad hair day" The kind of phrases that are difficult to translate! id5/18
that really deserves the fish! ty aknitter!
flying fish coming
ahh 100 words left. i seem to be working at a snails pace (nope slower, the snails just passed me)
LOTS of time left, ak! Lots of familiar words to be had, too.
yoink...... i'm back : )
i seem to be exceptionally dumb this evening
Lots of hidden treasures, ak. Heya Babble abba ding dong!
Good evening all, I need some clues if you don't mind. do5/12 do4/6 to5/18 the one that is not part of a high building.
hey Tor-Tor : ) how you diddlin', honeybunch?
I have $1.54 at the mo... Working, but not really hard..
que? in your pocket or is that in the cash register?
if you're looking for dumb - look this way 8)
I have exactly NONE of those yet, marc..
Hi all! Just passing by, thought I would stop in and see who was here :) Babbler -- jsut saw the news today about the passing of an era -- No more double decker buses :(
i am so totally distracted - mars attack - now roy orbison
marc - do5/12 - add a t on the end of do4/5 (past tense to do) do4/6 - those curvy roofs on churchy buildings? drop the e to5/18: just like your tall building, but the ending sounds like what you might yell if you dropped a brick on your foot when you were 5 years old.....
Marc - do5/12 - add a consonant to the 4/5 just before it
hi GW, *hugs*! Yes, I saw the news today about route master buses too. Very sad. They're keeping a few running though. They're lovely to look at, and I've never seen anyone fall off one, but they did make me very very nervous! : )
Now $1.57 in Babble stats. $0.30 left to get ..
Roy Orbison = A god.
Say it ain't so! Getting rid of the double-decker buses?!?!? I I have ridden the Tube, and a London Taxi, but not a DD bus yet. That was planned for the next trip..
i didn't watch the news closely, but i'm sure they only said the route master buses, not all double deckers. but i'll check........
Sorry to have to be the bearer of the bad news, torgone They are replacing the DD's with more handicapped friendly buses -- though they did mention that 1 or 2 would still be in operation on a limited line
I love Roy Orbison. Did anybody know that he was Elvis' favorite singer? Just a bit of trivea. Can you believe I have two words left both 4/5 one a 'do' and the other a 'ro' and have no way to describe them because they are among so many other 4/5's . The ro is just after the 6/21
do5: past tense of to do; what one gives as a marriage portion...may i have a clue for the third please?
Temple -- use the clue Bab just gave marc for the to5, except change the first letter :)
hello all - i heard the double deckers were going too. wasn't it the fault of one of us dang americans?
Can you believe is I got the ro now just for the do
evan - I didn't get any details like that, it was on my local news station
thanks, woulfie...would you believe i spent 75 hours in mont mall and came home empty handed? bad shopping day...
shopping - argh!
evanonut - you got that right!
Temple - would you believe that you were only 2 minutes away from me today when you were at the mall?! ;) I wish I'd known, you could have stopped by and had a cup of tea :)
ri 7 clue please?
I got the to and I am done. Have to go to bed now. Must get up early. Take care all and thanks for all of your help. Best, LOL Marc
i'm thinking of turning atheist just to get out of shopping
wohops! i meant di7...
night marc
T-Owl - di7 - your di5 (meaning 'as above), past tense how are you? : )
Temple - past tense of di5
di7 take di5 which is when agrees again and make it passed tense.
i couldn't find anything in tomorrow's papers (online) about all double decker buses going. I definitely heard them say only route master buses (the ones with the open back and a pole you hold on to). But they're keeping a few in town, just cos you know, everyone loves them.
yeah, that's it. it's an americans fault - so sorry. bunch of sue happy freaks that we are. they did a whole big story on it here.
tired from shoverling - and obviously brain dead....i am missing so many 4 and 5 letter words it's pathetic... how are you?
I am going away for a week or so and may not be able to Babble. Iwill miss you all. LOL
something in common there marc
evan - Just do what I do -- only buy what you WANT to buy for others, not what you feel obligated to buy -- It tends to go a lot easier on the wallet that way, and true friends understand that the gift represents your ongoing presence throughout the year :)
marc - fun or business trip?
oh no, that's terrible if that's true, evanonut. oh dear. I haven't heard anything like that (but I've had my nose in a Babble grid every day, haven't I? not been paying attention to the news!
the story actually ran about a month or more ago babs.
Some fun but mostly with wife's family. Lots of Rabbi's in her family and they drive me crazy. I try sit in a coner and watch and laugh inside.
T-Owl, I'm good, thanks. BabAnon wasn't up when I was playing, so I resorted to a2z, to my shame. The 4s and 5s still killed me. I spent an hour looking for an mo4 without realising I already had them all! durrrr! : /
well, we set limits grey. the main prob is that between over time and caring for my hubby, i don't really want to shop.
nope, I still would have missed the news a month ago too, evan... think I was visiting home then, hardly got near the tv at all... someone else always had the remote....
i may have to resort to the word list - no one would even know what i was asking forwhen there are 6 or seven of that length...i could list what i do have but that doesn't always work. is ez board up now?
evan -- I hate shopping on GP -- I am the type that if I want to buy a gift for a friend and I have the money I do it -- I don't need a special holiday set aside to justify it :)
well babs, there are MANY who would consider missing the news a good thing.
it came back a few hours ago... should be there now....
an interesting story, for anyone who is interested...it involves...M.U.R.D.E.R.
lol evan : ) I find it depressing. it's mostly gossip and speculation anyway. you get the news in the headline! (well, I'm exaggerating, but you know what i mean!)
it's a big local story right now, some poor guy was murdered and burned in a dumpster, then the dumpster owners thought he was a mannequin, and burned him again!
do ya'll follow me so far?
:o !!! that's horrible! omg.
da5?
.... there's more?
Just googled a news story re:buses -- according to it, there will be a couple of them kept on two 'heritage' routes for the tourists, but they will no longer be part of the regular service No mention of lawsuits having any involvement
da5 - just like your early morning, with an extra vowel
okay, thanks babs...so heres some more of the story. three roomates, two of them think the third is stealing from them. so the tie him up and burn him and torture him for like a month.
london transport website: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/ (i f you're not all focussed on evan right now) ; )
Yikes!
on the final torture, they soaked his t-shirt in gasoline, put it on him and set him in the tub and lit him. that is what did this poor guy in. and as i'm watching the story, i'm thinking to myself "what kind of sick individual does this?"
so a couple of days later, they caught the sick-o's, and it turns out i knew one of them. not only did i know them, but i thought she was a nice person!
evan - where are you located, cos I have not heard this story at all
how old were they? like teenagers/20s? that's a truly horrific story. evil people!
i'm apparently a horrible judge of character.
grey - western pennsylvania probably can find it at butlereagle.com
she ????? i assumed they were all young men??
evan -- I hope not! Cos then what would that say ablut the rest of us? ;D
all but her, she was 23. i went to school with her, and she came in the bank i worked at all the time.
it's no reflection on you evan that this evil person hid her nature from you with sweet smiles.
anyway, i really do feel bad, even if i ntroduced it in cat in the hat style.
There is so much evil in the world. And so little of it is known to most people..
ok, i know i don't want to know the answer, but did you happen to see her while all this was taking place?
no thank heaven, it's been over a year.
evan - just hit the website, but because it's the papers online site I can't read the article w/o buying a subscription
sorry grey, if i had a scanner, i'd email it to you, but i don't
evan, I am driving to Erie tomorrow. Are you from Erie?
no marc, i'm from butler, and next week i'll be from pittsburgh.
well that's something. phew. dont feel bad. well, you're probably sick to your stomach, but don't feel bad that you didn't suspect. it had nothing to do with you.
It's ok, evan -- not really that eager to read more about the evil in the world ;) But it is disconcerting when you actually get to see the face of evil and it isn't on an ugly troll
erie? hmm, wonder if the roads will be clear...
yeah, not that i think i could do anything, i only feel bad for not thinking "gee, she's an odd one." or something like that.
Got to go. Good luck to one and all.
well grey, if you want to get technical, she wasn't really a looker.
night marc
lol evan! that's the spirit! : )
Hello :D
You can't do anything about people who major in deception.
evan - it's a common theme in literature, TV, and movies that until the specific trigger flips, a person can fly under the radar and seem like there is nothing going on behind the scenes -- reason being because it is mopre common than the monsters
well howdy doodly, zube. how are you? how's your ankle? oh, evan! how's your hand healing up?
yep, anyway, i wanted to tell someone that. haven't even told my hubby yet.
Hi zubie!!
Ankle's much better, Babbler. :D Thanks for asking. I'm good - just wondering whether I dare start the grid this late. :D
Hi GW :D :D
oh pretty good babs. thanks for asking. it finally started hurting.
just do it zubie
you what??? 2 hours? well, knowing you, that's not impossible..... ; )
do it do it doit doit!
I'm glad to hear that, evan (I think!). I wasn't too heavy handed with the kick up the backside to get you to seek help, was I? I'm good at that..... ask Zubie..... : /
nah, probably i should have, but since it didn't get infected, it all worked out for the best.
Well, evan, with such support, how could I dare NOT do it? ;D I can at least try! Looks like an unfriendly grid, though. Haha Babbler. I'm not good at babbling, you know.
Zubie - it only took me a little over 2 1/2 hours to finish this AM with only 2 or 3 clues from others, so get in there and start hunting!
ha zube! i'm awful, that's why i'm encouraging you. now go get those words!
you'll walk it, Zubie. there are a few odd words, but overall, you should get them. : )
Thanks, evan. :) You too, Babbler. GW - 2 1/2 hours? :o That's quick.
well, just look at me, all the way up to 65. he he.
zubie 187 words 4 letter = 105 5 letter = 59 6 letter = 18 7 letter =5
with so many little words it wasn't that hard to get to the halfway point and then the 2nd letter list let me figure out most of the rest by calculation ;)
or you could just monkey type like yours truly
Oh, I did that too, but when you know the point score it helps limit the number of combos you need to try :D
i dunno, if it require thought or calculation, i'm not usually so good at it.
then that's what we're here for, evan - to help you avoid needless calculations that interfere with your fun and enjoyment ;D
Thanks, GW. 63 so far. Sorry I'm not talking!
i shall call it a night with 75 - you all take care. and remember, alway make sure it is really a mannequin before you burn it.
shush, zubie! enter those words! General Babs
by evanonut!
oh evan ((( hugs ))) sleep well and see you tomorrow : )
hope you were all well entertained, and see you tomorrow.
back atcha babs....sn -o -o -ore!
Listen to General Babs, zubie -- she practices what she commands to good effect TAke care, evan -- see you soon (*hug*)
i would really like some help - missing a di4...
Oh well. I dunno! I come here after a hard day's graft. Well, washing, cooking, sweeping, writing Xmas cards and lots of letters to go in with them, ad paying ut the postage... sigh! Yes, the grid was finished hours ago. Anyway, as I was saying, I arrive here and find you've all finished and gone. LOL.
t-owl, you're probably missing di4/10, use the z hi jacula! : )
1st di4/6 -- turns down the lights 2nd di4/5 -- the short beeps in morse code 3rd di4/10 -- a descriptor applied to an airhead
Hi Jacula (*hug*)
di4/6 - what a chap does to the lights when he's trying to seduce you. di4/5 - the dots, rather than the dashes in Morse Code. di4/10 - what 'a blonde type' may be described as, but it usually has a 'y' at the end.
Hi Wolfie and Babbler.:-)
zubie is here too Jac, but she is busy in the grid as she just got started :)
Hi Jacula!
i have to turn in now... what with it being 4.30 am and all... : / you staying up, Jac?
Babbler won't let me talk ;D [putting the blame on Babbler :O]
hush, zubie! back in the grid immediately! *wags finger* :D
Wolfie. Zubie is here? First off, a belated happy birthday to you Zubie. 2nd - Thank you so much for all your 'chatty' clues on 8th Dec. Without them, I wouldn't have got half of the words that I did. My brain wasn't working after a night all awake! So, THANK YOU!
*whispers to zubie* - she's leaving so you can talk again Sorry to see you go, Babbler! -- See you tomorrow/later!
belated happy birthday, zubie. i'm sorry i missed it. :(
(*HUG for Babbler*)
night, babs! hi, jacs!
ok - now its the good, bad, and the ugly
Babbler. Sleep well. Not staying long, no. Just came in here after a marathon Xmas card and letter writing session to chill out a bit.
on tv i mean - not here!!!! 8)
Glad you liked the clues, Jacula! It was my excuse to hang around - couldn't tear myself away. ;D *Mystified* Thanks for the birthday wishes, but...? I mean, it isn't my birthday! [I'll take them, anyway. :D Unless you meant them for someone else :D]
Good thing you qualified that last remark, Renfield! LOL.
*hugs* GW, Jac, Zubie (shush!), T-Owl, Ren ( lol ! ) nite nite, :D xxx
night / morning babbler - 5 left if i can keep from watching the tube
Lol. Hey! WHEN do you think my birthday was? Did I sleep too much and miss a whole year? :o
thanks jacs & woulfie...6 more to go...
thanks jacula - flat panel can't really show the shock on my face after i hit the enter key....
Zubie - It was someone's birthday on Bab that day. Not yours? Never mind! Have the champers and chocs anyway; you deserve them after giving all those brilliant clues. Any help I can give you now, just ask.
Jac -- maybe nava?
Ahhh! No, it wasn't mine. I think it was one of the eva's birthday that day! :D Not sure whose. Not mine, anyway. Mine's October. I can still have the chocolate, right? [GW - they're making me talk! ;D]
zubie - Oct when? My b-day is oct 19
Ys, Zubie. you can stil have the chocolate. How do you feel about Black & Green's orgnic dark choc? Or whould you prefer Swiss or Belgian?
There's a mixture of icons on here right now. Is there a theme?
Oh dear! I seem to have lost either the ability to type or the ability to spell!
Jac - today was zztop, but Babbler declared tomorrow to be shoes, so some of us are trying them on since it is so late
GW - Believe it or not, I was just thinking that you were going to say that yours is Oct, too. Care to guess which date mine is? :D
zubie - 19?
finished at long last, will stay on for a bit if anyone needs any help
I've never had the dark one, Jacula, so I'll try that. :D 98 words now. What's the total?
187 words today Temple - need any hints?
Wolfie. Oh no! Not shoes! That's a genetic Imelda Marcos type 'blip' in our family, on both sides. Both ex-hubby and myself have that thing, as do our mothers and their mothers before ad infinitum, despite finances back then. You can 'long for' but not buy! EEK!
GW - :D - 22 :D
these are my pink cow girl boots
Jacula do you work nights or are you a night owl like me
I hate to join the log just to ask for clues..but I need 3 clues..please?? di4/10 no4/4, not the one on your face to4/5, not unit wool weight, after froggy one, and not the ....&Jerry one.
I'm not into shoes, personally, Jac -- hence my icon -- it's hard to make out, but the wolf puppy is cute and the shoes in the pic make it qualify ;D
thanks, gw...have to goback and figure which 3 i need...
Scatty - I'm a night owl who once used to work nights. Shouldn't be up now, but have been writing Xmas cards and personal letters to go in with them half the day and half the night. Yes, I did try that 'Jacula and The Family have....' kind of Round Robin thing one year. But it really wasn't 'me'! LOL.
di4/10 - a dumb blonde is often called one of these -- sounds like the di4/4
no4/4 - def: An edible, dried preparation of red algae of the genus Porphyra.
to4/5 - change the body part to4/4 to be past tense
thanx GW got the no one.still looking for di...
OK just that di...
helen - use the z
I think I've got the dumb blond one di4/5.. it comes before the plural of "to repeat" di4/10
Helenary - you've got the 'to' now? Drat! Just wrote some great clues for those. The Di - it rhymes with Blitz. What happened to UK in WW2.
you beauty GW..have finished with your swet help. Thank you
di in world war 2 london was always biing bl... no change face clue end letter next vowel to after froggy, get rid of first vowel to get to 4/5
Yay for helenary!!!
thanks Scatty also!!
Hey Scatty - it wasn't just London that copped in in WW2, you know!
Geez, I need a new puzzle!
Did you finsih hours ago like me then, Kelstar? LOL.
Jacula, because i have a bad back i tend to sleep all over the place, due to medication, the last ime i had more than an hours sleep it was wed, early hours of the morning, at least you have started your xmas cards, i wrote my first one to my sister in Aussie land tonight, best I get moving with my annual letter writing so i can get the cards out
wife's out with the girls. I need something to do.
Similat sitch here, Jac -- though I was able to put the saved time to good use getting other stuff done :)
Jacula at this time of night it was the first thing that popped into my mind
oops, similaR -- Jac I'd say you infected my keyboard, except I 've been typing like this for weeks ;D
welll i am finally finished! i found this one very hard, to be honest...
Scatty - I've read your bio and I realise you may not sleep so well. Must be bloody frustrating after having had an active time. A fsrm's no place not to be bodily fit. I know that! Not being bitchy, I promise. Re the blitz clue - I know! It's the best clue to have given for all sides of the Pond.
its nice having someone to chat to, sometimes when i join in everybody are in deep conversation and its hard to join in sometimes
I did finish earlier -waiting for the next one now
Kelstar - that's great to hear! Mind you... are there any jobs that need doing around the house? Take a look around.... ROFLOL. If not, then CONGRATS!
after sitting in the house all day with no one to chat too and trying to stay off the phone , its nice chatting to strangers........ how do i read other peoples bio's
just took care of the boys. We have 2 Italian greyhounds
scatty -- I'll keep an eye out for you in the future -- if the current thread is too deep to dive in we can make a new one to fit! ;)
Wolfie - don't blame me for your typing errors! I have enough troubel trying to explain my own, since I am one of the now very rare, trained touch typists!
scatty - just click on the blue/pink purselike icon next to a persons name
Wolfie, the last time i tried to join in there were fireworks going off every few minutes, sometimes i have to go back down the messages to try and work out what everybody's talking about
Jac - I too have been trained in the art of touch typing -- never had much use for it after high school until I started playing Babble ;D My typing speed and accuracy has jumped dramatically since I started playing!
Oh, lol, Kelstar. Sorry, it was you mentioning Italian greyhounds. While I was writing my cards earlier, I had BBC2, The Jonothan Ross Show on. He was 'interviewing' Will Young. He asked Will if he wanted a pet once his worload subsided. He said, 'Yes. I'd like a dog. I was looking at Italian Greyhounds this week. I don't want to be the gay batchelor with the tiny dog!' I thought of a friend of mine, who's gay, but not unattached. He has a dachshund, a puppy. He old (other little dog) died at end of last year. I thought of my friend but I wasn't laughing at him.
Grr. Got thwarted by the current. Back now. :/
scatty -- I have the same issue -- I usually have at least two windows open at the same time so that I can try to keep up with the log -- otherwise I jump down to write a reply and once it posts I have no clue what's going on cos the threads have jumped track :D
scatty - nice to meet you! well bye everyone...see you later!
87 to find in 47 minutes. :/
Make that 80.
have 1 left and need help. To4/5, near the amphibian, have the foot appendages.
doxy - sounds like man's name pluralled
or just drop the a from the amphibians
bye t-owl - hey scatty - i'm w/ you - so i keep 2 logs open so i can retain some idea of what's happening
doxy - take a vowel out of the amphibians
thank you GW, that was the only one I didn't monkey type.
Jacula: I have to claim ignorance on "Will Young"; but I highly recommend Italian Greyhounds for your friend - always get them in pairs.
bye, rennie!
see - i lost the thread - i thought you were leaving t-owl - i'm confused
Temple -- so long -- and seriously, if you ever want ot get together email me and we'll see what we can work out! doxy - you are very welcome
anyone need clues?
to4/5 - could be male cats, those that vie with Jerry mouse, or could be the wool weight thing, 'on their owns', 'al on my to*!', To** Rundgren lyrics. Also means clumps of ivy.
Wolfie, can now look at other peoples bio's, its nice to know it you are male or female sometimes, at least i feel like i know you a little nore now, will have to write more in my bio
scatty - always a pleasure meeting new friends ;)
gotta go for a bit -- see everyone after the flip Go, zubie, Go!!
Hey Zubie, Wolfie's given you 'permission' to speak again now. Need any clues?
Scatty - write as much in your bio as you like but don't make it so personal that a hacker can get at you, whether that be a forum hacker or a govt. hacker. Also, don't give trolls and toads any ammo.
anyone need a clue...please!
I could use 97 of them... ;)
have to stay awake for 35 minutes
Kelstar - are you desperate to give clues or to get them?
I'm a giving person
Kelstar - may I ask WHY - re the 35 mins?
Jacula: until the next puzzle
Kelstar - sheilasu needs 97 clues! LOL.
Yeah! Start typing! Hehe.
all will be revealed shortly...
Hi Jacula. He did? Nice of him. :D 135 now. I'll soon be asking for clues I think :D
Sheila - we're not 'allowed' to give you all the words here. It's our own policing. Now, ask for clues... like a good girl... LOL.
Jacula, where in uk roughly do you live............ I have just up dated my bio by teh way
I have noticed that, Jacula, and am glad for it. Wouldn't be much fun if the words were in the chat log :)
Scatty - in Worcs. 10 miles from Brum.
I'm 10 from Oxford, 20 from Swindon, my two eldest ones live in either direction, i think they did it on purpose
Hi there goodmorning Kelstar are you still awake? I could use a clue to the ar 7 please ... have 56 words to do in 27 minutes ...
Sheila - that only happens, at least from me, when we're 2 mins into the end of a grid. And even then I tend to post acronyms or the like. i.e. The grid is Ending Now. Oh Well! (ENOW)
LOL! Got that one. TY
Scatty - they idn't do it on purpose! They're just being what life's programmed them to be - awkward kids! Well, that's what my kids tell me when I moan at them!
LUCKY: ends in "blow your no.."
Lucky, the second half of the word is in the middle of your face, hope that helps
mi 6 please?
mi: chamagne cocktail
champagne + OJ, zubie
ar7/28 - is a weird word, meaning 'full of sand'. Think of 'I am, we ar*...' take that 2nd word and add it to the thing on your face that has a sense of smell, unless you have a cold!
mi6. One of my favourite flowers! Has evegreen leaves and small yellow balls to form the 'flowers'.
impressive jacula!
That did it, Jacula! I was puzzling about the OJ :D Thanks.
It also has a mi**** pudica form, that children like to play with. You can touch its leaves and they close instantly.
|Is everyone done now?
i am - i've been working on my boot -
No...a few more...any help on the two des?
How about ad 5/12?
kristinc: worship
You're joking, Jacula! And don't you mean do 4/5? ;D I'm not do 4/5 - 154 right now
krsitinc - des + in the middle and des ended the same way as 'piles' without the 's'.
Hi again everyone
ad 5/12 - my eyes ad*** you -
Thank you everyone!
am5/12 - Did you to Latin? amo amas amant amamis amatis amant See thar last word? Change 2nd vowel to scream 'eeee!' LOL

mo14: december
mi6/24 - yellow flower clues I've just given.
mo 5/14: engine
mo5/14 - there are 12 of them in a year. Make it singular.
Other mo - think car or engine.
166 - I'm giving up!
Will she make it, Kelstar?
zubie: tomorrow is another day
Oh, don't do that Zubie!
Yes, Kelstar. I've decided to relax my brain for the next five minutes! :D Thanks for the help, everyone.
Like was said, tomorrow is another day and Babble is just a puzzle.xx
Jacula, I must! 20 words in 4 minutes. impossible. :D
3 more...one I can't find and ro 5/10 and ro 4/4, second and third to the last. Thanks for the others.
ro: ro... beef
Zubie you might find a couple of words jump out at you
ro4/4 - take a letter off the helicoper blades. ro 5 i s plural of that.
Scatty and Kelstar ...tis a little late but thank you soo much!
Whew. Got to 100 with 2 minutes to spare. Good enough for me tonight! TY for the hints!
Thank you all. I appreciate all the help!
LOL. Happy Babbling all!
