I read back in the log - marujana was found by the police in her son's bedroom and he was arrested, she was very shaken up.
Oh my goodness - what a mess. Do you know how old her son is - teen? - adult?
No idea I'm afraid.
I can't imagine what she is going through. I remember when we got a call that our teenage son was at the police station after the police caught him and a bunch of guys stealing a Christmas tree off the lot - they were driving past and reached out a grabbed it as a lark - some lark!

Good day every1. Scrolling thru the log, I read about mamabears woes. Everything has a way of working out. I was actually the 1 who called the police on my oldest. I coudn't get him to see the light. But when the police come in and search your house and haul you off, you realize it's not just mom being cranky. This is really bad. It worked for him..I hope it works for mamabears errant one.

It must be terribly hard for mamabear. Not knowing the circumstances, and whether there were other problems, I can't help but wish that we would move past these awful, wasteful and harsh responses to drug use. Not that it doesn't sometimes indicate other problems, or keep people from solving them in more creative ways, but our jails are filled with people who souldn't be there and who come out much worse for the wear. There are so many far more destructive things going on in our world. The fact that a kid smokes some dope doesn't necessarily mean that s/he is in trouble. Many healthy and highly constructive, bright and successful individuals smoked dope (without inhaling of course) in their youths. Anyway, having a child addrested is awful and I hope that mamabear and her son come out of this without too much harm.

Hi gramma-sorry to leave yoiu unaswered there. I didn't think you were being harsh at all. I have been in similar siuations myself-once left our foster daughter in jail for 3 days just to let the natural consequences sink in because the situation was desperate. There are times when being a hard as* is the most loving and compassionate thing, but our legal system is not loving, kind nor wise most of the time. Most of us use some method to alter our states of mind, living in a very hard world (food, alcohol, dope, sex, TV). I wish that the world we offer our kids could be less stressful, alienating, more creative and challenging in good ways. But it often isn't. So hard to help them make their ways safely through.

What scared me was that I was walking around and talking to people both times, and both times I was clinically unconscious and have no recollection of anything for 48 hours each time... : / It, er, kept me interested in head/neck injuries...

Just as an update - husband brought him home early this morning (around 2am). I haven't talk to him yet. He is 25 yrs. old. I have gone through this stuff with him before. A long story. Oh, and if anyone knew about my possible job possibilities in Long Island that I have discussed previously - that also fell through this morning via a phone call from my contact there. They are not "ready" to make a commitment to someone in my position since the undertaking is in it's early stages and still on shaky ground. Peanuts are high in co-enzyme Q10, which is essential for cell repair. My gums bleed from time to time, when I brush my teeth, so I eat peanut butter for my gums. (and cos I love it!)

Everyone: I heard some things regarding losing weight at all, so just had to chime in. In 1998 I weighed 210 lbs. I now have lost 75 lbs. How did I do it, just didn't go onto all these diets advetised, I just ate what I usually did, only less of it, AND excercised. Stayed away from breads, potatoes, and sweets. But, I made it. Proud of myself.
What about my sc6/24???
