G'Nite Shro! (*Hug*)
nity nite.... so quiet then bam.... post post post.... you guys are working to hard (LOL)
Back for 10 minutes to give this thing a start :)
I thought everybody went to the executive chat room and left me out here by myself
what.... there is another chat room ?
well.... in my paranoid little mind there is
Given how I am flying through this one, sprite -- that should be more than enough time for you ;D
LOL! Sure :P
except once again I don't have anything longer than a 6 :)
ahh .... I get that too....
You did find the 6s yesterday, didn't you? I left you some great clues :)
Yes, I finished -- got on late, but finished -- thanks for your help -- also thanks for the song again -- finally listened to it today -- Kristianna loved it :)
I was really sorry I couldn't find a sung version of the Shaving Cream, but who knows, it might pop up one day. Great your kid has good taste :D :D
The si's were a fun run! And my stuff is done uploading so I have to get back to work, maybe get back to the rest of these 4s and 5s tomorrow. 'Night everyone.
Night Griffs :)
nighty nite griffs
G'nite Griff! (*Hug*)

LOL Chessy :) Later, Blaze *hug*
Can anyone give me a clue for the ho/6 pleaseeeeeeee
Okay, off for now, back in about half an hour. For those gone by then: good night, sleep well and sound, and *hugs* for all of you :)
any hints for the re 6? please. can't go to bed without this one tonight
(*HUG*) sprite, just in case :)
Debs - it's a seat on top of an elephant or camel ...
Cya Spite...take care

the word starts with re and has 6 letters
thanks anyway greywoulf
(*nava*)
thanks
nava..I'm not very good at clues, but I just found the word...try this: re + what a flower comes from (minus a vowel) + the first vowel
re6 - "A grayish or dark green to yellow green or light olive." Just got it :)
Norad - great clue!

clues for the er 5 please?
Morning....first wo4...very appropriate..
Wow - it is amazing how much faster the grid goes when you have brandyjacks list!
er5 -- poems usually have v+er5
norad.... poems have ve***s....... loose the v
Back! All gone to bed or not?
Hi tbear! (*hug*)
Not
still here sprite :)
LOL, should have known, you couple of diehards! Well, I know, Woulf, that's why I don't use that list ;)
still here sprite, but I only have 3 left to go -
thx blaze...I think I typed that about an hour ago...ok, maybe not...GW, BJ's list is an incredible help...
Still cant find that ho/6... must of tried every combination there is :(
Debs - what the elephant seat ho6?
ho6 - "A seat, usually fitted with a canopy and railing, placed on the back of an elephant or a camel."
Debs, it starts with an American Indian greeting ... and last letter is same as first ...
Yep....... why cant it be called a humpaseat or something simple!
debs. ho 6 know (ho*) + word for father ends in H
sprite -- we all aren't the wo4 smiths you are, so forgive us our weakness ;)
too funny Debs...
GreyWoulf....you go steady now, hugging a big ole Aussie woman like Edna.....she's more than you might bargain for....Lol How are you Woulfy?
Thankyouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu thankyouuuuuuuuuuuu and once again I thankyouuuuuuuuuuuuuu...found it at last! Still think it should be called a humpaseat though!
ho6/39 - first ask a question, then add a short version of your fatherm then sling in the 8th consonant.
Lol Woulf... I just like to puzzle, that's all. I agree, Debs! Especially with that Se-part in the grid. Dame Edna!!! How are ye, possum?
tbear -- burning off the energy of anticipation -- I won't be around tonight to finish since I have to be up at 5 AM Friday to take my wife in to prep for her c-section -- they moved up the delivery date to this week :)
Wolfie - if you can use a word like 'maven' in your parody song, then you cannot claim not to be a wo4/9 smith!
All of us here are W-smiths. Good ones at that :D
Jac -- I am not of sprites caliber, after all she is a professional -- I am but a talented amateur ;)
Yea, Sprite. We're not bad at all, all of us, are we? *Smiles contentedly, amongst like persons.*
Oh WOW....exciting time then.....you'll be needing Dame Ednas gladioli then and I'm sure she'd be a great midwife....but no nappy changing...All the best for tonight/tomorrow Woulfy and say a big hi to your good lady..
Thanks tbear -- I will! :)
GW, as the date was moved up, are you ready at home?
Flings gladioli at sprite.....How are you..D A R L I N G....shrill voice (can't you just hear it??)
EEK! tbear, yes I can hear it.
Now shurrup, ya daft Sheila! *Winces as bangs head on low branch of tree.*
Pretty much, Norad -- I'll be doing the same as when Kristianna was born and getting the last major bits done while Kirsten is recovering in the hospital -- it'll just be a little trickier as I will have my daughter active around me at the same time :D
Aww GW If I were closer ... would love to lend a hand.... do you have family near by to help out with the little one....
Wolfie - she will help, I assure you!:-)
aahh, but you and she will have such fun getting ready...enjoy! :)
don't worry GreyWoulf I did all that and gave birth to my second one....all on my ownio...was hard work for a few years,I'll tell you!
Thanks for the offer, Blaze -- Gramma lives here so she will be doing what she can -- but I am not too concerned -- Kristianna is very well behaved when she realises that I have something I absolutely must get done -- I just can't take too much time doing it -- but she usually gives me about a solid hour before demanding attention :)
Norad's not wrong there, Wolfie. Make the most of these times.xxx
the little ones need lots of attention when bringing in a new child.... a new pack member that is.... I am sure all will be well..
Oh, you better believe that I am enjoying my time with her -- after all you only get one good chance at immortality and I don't want to blow it :D
Wolfie - tbear speaks the truth too. BH! I sound like a (formerly called) Red Indian now!
Gives Crocodile Dundee a Dame E withering look for trying to shut 'er up.......Dame E...you got no chance Jacs
the Dame is my hero.... (LOL) finished for this night.....
tbear!!!!!! *hug* Sorry, was afk for a bit. How ARE you, dear?
As I seem to have forgotten the grid while traveling down memory lane of my own two kiddos, I will say goodnight...Blessings on you and your family for Friday GW, we'll be awaiting news...goodnight all...
So far only have one wo4 and that's wo4 so I'm searching........
Blaze speaks truth, also. If new pack member is introduced properly, no real problems will arise. *Smoke signals continue to rise from camp fire.*
And I am done!!! -- getting faster all the time -- under 3 hours for this one!
WTG Woulf! You need to be, you won't have much time for a grid in the time to come, lol.
G'Night Norad -- I will make sure everyone knows details by Saturday -- (*Hug*)
Croc Dundee surveys Dame E... 'Of course I've withered. Any self respecting man WOULD!' ROFLOL.
Congrats GreyWoulf - wishing you and your family every happiness :)
Goodnight Woulf... Hope everything goes well for you all tomorrow ((((hugs)))
Jacs......hhhhrrrruuummmppppp. ...
Thanks Chessy (*Hug*)
tbear - the wo words are onyly two - the obvious one and its plural.
My thoughts and good wishes go with you and yours, Woulf. *hug*
I have four wo words Jacula
All the best to you and yours, Wolfie. *HUGS* & xxx's to you all.
And on that note, I will bid everyone a fond good night Thank you all for your well wishes and support from both of us :) (*HUGS for all*) (*Extra for Debs, sprite, Jac, Chessy, & tbear*) TTFN
Me too, 4xW. The one we look for all day and its plural, and the same one with another final letter and its plural.

Anuja - try babblers anon in the right hand colomn Brandy jacks ststs are invaluble
I'm a gardener - I got those other two wo's pretty damned quick! LOL.
I am pretty sure I am much As6 than each and every one of you. Won't take, though.
Sprite - was that a plural donkey-type word? LOL.
Jacs...so am I but it took prompting from you
It was, Jac, it was :)
If you meant 'astute' sprite, then I'd agree :)
I was thinking more about my behind.
thank you
And WHAT (high pitched) a very lovely LARGE behind that is dear Sprite Possum
OMG Dame Edna, I DO love you! :)
Madge...MADGE...what d'u think of Sprites behind..dear?
Being 'a bloke' for the duration of this grid, I can only smile and say nothing. OWCH!
I remember Croc Dundee checking the very private parts of someone in drag... ;)
:) :) :)
No bending down now, Sprite, ya hear?! LOL.
Bending down... nah, I won't. Bug wiggle... welll...
SpRiTe.....shhhhhhh he wanted me he did he did....but I gave him to Madge....I need a REAL BLOKE!!!
Oh NUTS! :-)
Of course you do, Dame Edna! Seen anyone you'd like lately?
Dame E...looks kinda sheepish...nuts are for Christmas Possum!!
Hm... now I come to think of it... my icon is As6 in this position too ;)
Well now.....recently met a lovely foreign gentleman called Mustafa Shagg.....he tickled my fancy..dear!
Not keen on sheep - daft b*ggers that they are. Nuts are another matter. But not in this grid's incarnation.:-)
Ow Dame Edna, my my... and such a fitting name too :)
Should I be asking for a Castlemaine 4X now or wrestling a croc? First off, I'll buy all the ladies a Chery B or a Babycham. *Grins hopefully*
Not very good at being 'manly', am I? ROFLOL.
OOOooooo that's him calling me now....Must be off Down Under....darlings....BBBBYYYYY YEEEEEE exit Dame Edna and exit tbear(her new side kick!!) see you all later mates
Crocs....I don't know,darling...you're doing a FINE job!! Gives Croc a 'come hither' look as she squeezes seductively thru the door.....
Has tb gone to bj? Who knows? Who really wants to know? Tune in next week for the next instalment.... *Cue music for 'Soap'. (Anyone remember that series?)*
*Croc scuttles in through door after Dame Ed. Well, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do!*
Soap... the series all soaps have their name from, lol.
Soap...soap...get that soap out and give yourself a good wash down...you stink of croc breath,possum...
*Croc gets into shower and brushes his teeth with the back scrubber.*
Madge slinks off....sulkily....
Can some Sheila turn the lights off......PLEEEEASE?
Poor Madge... can never really get myself to feel sorry for her, though, lol.
*Chucks a tub of 'miracle moisuriser' at the retreating figure of Madge.*
And all this before the 9 o'clock watershed (sorry was that am or pm?)
It's am here in UK, Ed me luv.
Actually darlings I love a morning sh........ower....
A Shower with mr Shagg...
Well, that's our reputations ruined on the Babblelog! ROFLOL.
Jacs and Sprite.....what a fun way to start the day....I'm really off now,you take care and maybe see you both later.. :{)
LOL. D'you think so?
Ohhhhh Mustafa.....
What's that croc doing in here?
Bye tbear... that WAS fun! :)
Seeing as I'm a bloke for the duration of this grid, I guess I'd better be off for the 3 sh's: sh4/5, sh5/18 & sh6/33. LOL.
Hey Crocs....mind those armpits......
ROFLOL!!!
.........................gone. ....................reluctantl y
Hate to see you go, tbear, but have a great day :)
*Sound of water running and occasional yelps.*
I just found a very serene and blissfull Sa6, so I think I have given my rep a boost :)
*Applies dunny paper to cuts and strolls nonchalantely away.*
That 'no' I just typed doesn't look right!
One E too many. :)
Thought so!
But what would I know? I'm just a bush feller!:-)
Funny, isn't it, that once you mistype a word, it sometimes just looks strange but you can't see where the problem is. I do a lot of editing and sometimes I go and fetch the dictionary, lol. For simple words!
As non-native speaker I always get lost when I mistype any letter in 'yours sincerely'. Sinsy... sinse...cinse... well, that word.
Ditto. (Whatever that means. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush? Erm, I'm a bush feller. LOL.)
:D
Sprite - the most common mistake in business letters is beginning them 'Dead Sir'!
LMAO! O help, I'd never live that one down, I am sure, LOL! And yet such an understandable typo.
Indeed, as is typing 'hearing dogs for the dead' rather than for the 'deaf'. As one reader commented, 'they must be bloody good dogs!'
LOL! I really love those things. Guess that's what I like about editing too. There are quite a few of that mistakes in Dutch too and they never cease to make me smile.
Sprite - I spent about 11 years proof reading, and many things made me smile.
The Freudian slips got more slippy the later in the week it was.
Guess they do in every language then :) Finished... and got to run. Good hunting and thanks for the laughs :)
hi everyone :) Happy Australia Day!

Er....are the dr7 and dr8 'normal' words or am I just being thick today?? (be nice now!) : )
They are normal words. They both build on the Dr6
Woo! Just found them! Thanks tigereye : )
I can't even find the DR6, much less he 7 and 8 :(
It's too soon for me to even understand the clues. But I've changed my icon to what I think is the theme for today.

I thought today was marbles..? I did I go soooo wrong?
LOL gramma - they could have been marbles from Australia!
God (not Dr. God) only knows how I get these things in my pretty little head.
Maybe I'm missing a few marbles and was just trying to make up for it
ROFL, I think marbles got moved to Febuary, maybe you will find your missing ones there?
I get lost in my own driveway. I'm certainly not going to try to find ...what was I saying? What was I looking for? Oh dear never mind.
mornin babblers!
G'day, evandine.
morning eva
evandine, right before my very eyes, your icon changed. Did you have 1 of my favorite books on there?
my book cover icon from yesterday was "ella minnow pea" changed it this morning for australia day. :)
I don't know why my computer did that. But, I saw ella minnow pea. I thought that book was very cleverly written.
glad im not the only one who read it! i recommended it to several babblers -- anyone who loves words and language and playing with them would love that book.
eva, I had forgotten about the coversation re the book until yesterday and yr icon reminded me, have made a note to get a copy from Amazon.
I gave it away so many times that I had to quit buying it.
i just told the birthday faeries about the next book i want: "Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About" http://www.amazon.c om/gp/product/081296666X/102-1 567886-9636105?v=glance&n=2831 55
the guy who wrote it based it off of a website he started: www.thingsmygirlfr iendandihavearguedabout.com
gramma, did you have a whisky or two to celebrate Burns night last night after our conversations? :)
By golly, I did! I now have a new found appreciation of poetry.
LOL gramma. eva - had a quick look at the website and the 1st 2 paras made me laugh, bodes well for the book.
the website is supposedly biographical...and it was so popular, he decided to write a novel based on it... i suspect the novel is fairly biographical, except for the names...hehe
5 mins and I must be off as tons to do this afternoon , anyone need any clues before I go (think this grid is one of the nicest we have had for a while).
ill take the 8 or any 7s, if ya got em. ;)
I agree. This 1 seems to be a pleasure. I'm not ready for any clues yet. Thanks anyway. And... have a G'day :)
dr6/33 to be half asleep dr7/48 pl of above dr8/65 more of the same do7/48 payment when marrying daughters off

mornin mab!
An Australian aboriginal, Captain.
Not a straightforward grid today, lots of 'made-up' words. How often do we use an ho6/59 or ow4/8 etc in conversation? Couldn't manage without atoz or more words today. Haven't quite finished yet but I thought I would show off my friend's two sons who are in the Australian Navy
mab - you do look stunning as tbear stated
exwren - very nice looking gentlemen.
Why, thank you very much. Dame Edna, I must say, green is your color.
hi ex-wren and mighty fine they look too....give Dame Edna their tel numbers and I promise to show them a bit of Down Under
ho6/59? *begins frantically monkey typing*
M'lady, you are indeed shameless.
no ho6/59 but there is an ho6/39
g'day everyone!!! We call these pups "Australian Shepherds". Is that what they are "down under"?
Us Menopausal Woman do get tired a bit sooner....so this possum's off to put her size 58s up for a bit (on Madges footstool impersonation)
ho6.39? *still frantically monkeytyping*
B bye, dear madame.
Temple, ho6/39 - canopied seat on top of an elephant or camel. I found it on onelook.com
tbear - have a nice rest. later
Goodbye you gorgeous bearded man you.....flutters eyelashes and squeezes thru the door.....
peri - i kept trying to make that earlier word - i'll have to check the spelling! : )
Temple: what when where an ho3 plus your father in parts of the UK, plus h.
Ah, such grace; that woman knows how to leave a room!
This is not a nice grid.
Perk up faeriekae! R-Z are pretty easy. :)
thanks, peri and mab - it was the last letter i kept forgetting! % {
Jen - thanks, guess I'm just getting off to a slow start. Must be from all the fumes. I'm refinishing a vanity in my basement.
That wouldn't make me loopy, that would put me in bed with a galazy-sized migraine! You take it easy and get plenty of fresh air whenever possible. :)
Oopos, supposed to say galaxy!
morning, Jen! What's the news on the car? Me
Hey Mom! They got the regulator in yesterday and overnighting the trim... should be finished tomorrow!
Jen - I have fans running and I even opened one the the basement windows a little because I did end up in bed with a migraine a couple of days ago. Thanks for your concern....Your a sweetie
Morning fellow babblers playing hooky from work today needed a mental health day but also need a clue its the last do 4/5 can't get it any help would be appreciated
faeriekae....I have a friend who developed heart palpatations a couple of weeks ago from lacquer fumes. She's having to undergo a lot of heart tests just to be sure that was what it was. Be careful!!!
Jen - Great!! Off to Scott, talk to you later. Me
Monpazier - that's terrible. I'm being very careful I would rather be outside doing this but with winter its just not happening. I'll keep the window open. I promise.
Have fun with the kiddies Mom! :)
Must take the dog out I'll be right back..........
Sorry Sheryl.... I'm not to the D's yet, or I'd offer up a clue.
polka do4/5
thanks so easy but sooooooooooo hard sometimes
ho4/6 anyone? I know I'll need the fish after this one...
Someone please....I need a clue for the fa 5/28. Going nutso trying to get it...thanks
jen, do you mean what workers carry bricks on?
Jen, a builder uses an ho4/6 to carry bricks on
nancy: new, quarter, half, full are ___ of the moon. The fa word is a homonym of that
Pass the fish... I've never heard that one before, but it's the one thing I didn't monkey-type.
* laughing hysterically* the as wo4/6! the as wo4/6!
yes peri, it is an ho6/39. I couldn't read my own writing, but I still wouldn't use it in conversation!
if you eat too many doritos (whhich is not a babble wo4/6), you'd better watch your as6/33!!!!
Temple, yes I have that one. That is the 5/26. I need the Fa5/28....any help appreciated.
Nancy: you will need the fish if we give you a clue!!! : )
Fa5/28 is Fa5/26 with a different last letter
Thanks Tigereye...I swear I typed it before but it didn't take it...........now, on to all the rest...
has anyone got clues for the fo 5/18 or the fo 4/7 would be appreicated
fo4/7 is an Army base
got the army base one and crossing a river need the other 4 letter
There are 2 fo5/18s... take the fo4 and make it plural; take the fo4 and add a vowel (looks a bit like a hobbit F... Baggins, but re-arrange 2 letters in his name)
There are only 2 4-letter ones.
ty got it by monkey typing
Woo hoo!!!! Got great news from my insurance company!!! The stuff that was stolen out of my car (GPS) is covered under the auto policy, not personal prperty, so we only have to pay one deductible, not 2!!!!!!!
afternoon all!

Evanonut - I'm poorly this week! :'( I lost my voice (almost) yesterday. *sniffles for effect*
you and my husband can hang - he's got himself a sinus infection, that's why he's not in the hospital now. poor guy, it's threatening to ruin the superbowl for him.

hi bunny, lemon
LOL, yes, but now that you're here!!!
hi bunny : ) evanonut - not as far as I know..... :)
and I meant no....
eva -- i see no problem, so long as youre not the one who broke it!
Are there any jagged pieces? Is it only slightly cracked?
I will get one ready for you vodka? lol
I've been here awhile, just not chatty today...
oh good - i imagine the 7 years bad luck is way gone by now
deutsch - big jagged creepy looking pieces
Think I had my fill last weekend..ughh. Even smoked (shame on me). Sober for at least one more day....
then by all means, hang it in the guest room. guests won't over stay their welcome! LOL
Astro isnt a word!
hence my dorito...
sounds good to me - just need to find a safe way to clean it - it's all grungy
hangs head in shame I AM A SMOKER (though not when grandchilren are around)
Have you thought of having new glass set intot the frame?
You and Babbler...shame. Jump on the wagon (cept for last Saturday). We'll find better things to waste money on...
doritos make you sober? or do you eat doritos when youre sober? *tries to see the connection...*
i dunno bunny, i kind of like it as is - maybe i'll see what it looks like when i'm done cleaning it.
I'm back! People are saying wo4 all over the place today! hee hee hee!
re 6/21?
Hi harp!
LOL, doritos are on the board, like astro, but not a word. Although I imagine they would absord some liquor...By the By, I'm really not a lush...
Hi all - today I broke 500 ... bow ... and Ithought it couldn't be done
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!! well, knock me over with the "slow-to-get-it" fish! man, being a dorito addict, youd think i wouldve seen that in there!!
good for you, Lady! Bunny, we know it's just talk. LOL
I'm suddenly craving nacho cheese
wordlady well done !!! bunny we are only teasing LOL x
500? I like mine dipped in cottage cheese and tobasco, yum!

Hi folks!! Good job wordlady!

Hi Monpazier!
im totally addicted to the newer, guacamole ones. *drools*
evanonut and evanadine ... are you related?
hi monpazier : ) hi wo4/9-lady ; )
Hi Babbler!
I'm not over the lime ones yet, evanadine! (though I think they have MSG in them, which I am sensitive to). : /
Hi Babbler
babbler -- are you talking about doritos or tostitos? far as i know, there are no lime doritos...
can any1 help me with the second ha4/6
sorry word lady...no - but EvaN does have exquisite taste in name choosing

*puzzled* I'm sure I've seen lime doritos here..... lemme check the supermarket websites...... brb.....
yes, Evas are great. :)
Adsman, drop the s off hell...
gotta run along to another boring, long, dreaded meeting now...
indeed
Personal appology to Babbler. Sorry I had to abandon you a while ago. The computer techs stormed my office, threw a bag over my head and tossed me out on my ear. Just now reclaimed my territory.
adsman same as the first one just change the order of the letters
oh my goodness people, now I'm REALLY hungry! logging at the dorito time, notso good when tummy already grumbly
Adsman - there's a foggy ha4 and an ha4 that looks like an ha5 that's hot
*Urp*. Just finished three delicious slices of pizza. purrrrrr.
hey smaller!
Anyone need clues?
I think we are going to cheat, and I'm going to run the kids to Sonic for lunch.
Hi evanonut! I just started 2 for the Dough!
bye all .. I know I never stay long ... I"m going to go recover from getting nearly 600 points and from giving my first clue ... sniff ... I'm faclempt
good girl!
Sonic sounds good Bunny......I just ate a South Beach Diet frozen "meal"....if you want to call it that. The doritos sound a lot more appealing. :)
this is very interesting - this here mirror was construct from the rubble of a church that burned down
Bye Wordlady x
I made as huge turkey meal from scratch with pecan pie and butterscotch coffe cake last. Burnt on baking.
Any help w/sa 6/18???
Dang, Bunny! Having delusions of Thanksgiving, er what?
Bunny....did I miss a holiday????
woof! pant pant pant! THANKS evanonut! and thanks for suggesting this set. whole new addiction!
Sa6-18: "A spiritual awakening sought in Zen Buddhism, often coming suddenly."
Blech, South Beach... I'm gaining weight, I don't care! My husband can't say a word, he's gained 60 lbs. since we got married. He was a toothpick though. But I'm crossing the 130 line after five kids and I'm gonna keep on pushing! I got a free turkey from the grocery store for spending so much of my husband's hard earned money...
Hi all
Evanadine - yup!! Walkers Doritos with Hint of Lime!!! (recommended!!)) hi Yoink! : )
smaller - keep it up bunny - hmm 30? i got that from the pill alone!
Hi Yoink!
I wouldn't care either....except the doctor has gotten in on my personal eating......cholesterol and all that good stuff.
Hi Yoink!
Ohhh, don't have to worry about that for now...but I guess I shoul kick the salt habit. I eat off the top layer and put on another! Maybe next New Year's.
Hi Yoink!! What are you eating?
hi yionk, everyone
I seem to be about the only person in the world who doesn't like Doritos, they seem like flavoured cardboard to me
Hey Judi, just saw your post. No worries, honeybunch! : )
The baked ones are.
monpazier, I am unfortunately foodless, though I am in reaching distance of some chocolates if I wanted something
doritos are a good thing unless you're supposed to be cutting back on fat and salt and all that rot.
Tortilla chips are good for you! I used to like the black ones, but I haven't seen them in a while.
Yoink.....chocolate is always good....releases endorphins "they" say.
Babbler, I don't think we get walkers here in the US. :(
Yeah, well, they say mushrooms make you randy, IT"S A LIE!
*throws hands up in air* Oh damn! The endorphins are loose again! Who left the door open?
Tortilla chips are corn.....we raise cattle.....we feed the cattle corn to fatten them up.......the correlation is aggravating! :)
I'm scared off cows, right up there with flying.
You'd better hope you never experience any of those flying cows then Bunny
<---- stays inside playing Babble all the time
why cows...bunny? Ours are very docile and sweet. ... Belted Galloways....look like big oreo cookies.....there goes the food again....that's what I get for trying to diet.
Got bit on the rear by one when I was little. They scare me with those beady eyes, like they know I ate their cousin. They're crafty bovine...
Yoink, possibly you are not eating the tortilla chips properly; one dips them into something like salsa or guacamole, or something, and then eats them. At least I think that's how they work. They are sturdy little dippers. Oh, and roughage - they're full of it. Glad I could clear that up.
Yippee finished!! I liked this grid better than yesterdays
yay Caitlyn!!!!!
GJ Cait!
Mab, I get that, and they certainly aren't as bad when combined with some salsa, but I still just don't like them, something about the texture maybe
Yippee Caitlyn!
Evana, are you still here? Is that the aboriginal flag you're sporting?
Bunny....sorry about your "rear" injury....not typical of cows. We don't name the ones we are going to eat....except maybe something like T-bone or Hamburger.
Great job Caitlyn!
Gee Thanks all lolX
I'm not wild about them either. There are bits that can't be chewed, like tiny bits of corn husk. I'm not big on snack foods in general. Here there are entire supermarket aisles full of just chips of one sort or another. That strikes me as odd -- so much anutritional food.
Yup, right across from the entire isle of sodas. I think she said it was the flag earlier Mab.
I know what you mean, I'm not much of a snacker either. You only have to see all the fat kids around to see that they are drawn in by those aisles though
Oh yes, and sodas, another entire aisle. Thanks Bunny.
I have celiac, so pretty much all processed food is out of the question for me.
Deutsch....I have a dear friend who has celiac. When we are having a party or tea....I always make my famous peanut butter cookies that have no flour.
I bought a little pack of Bernie Bot's jelly beans from the Harry Potter movie. Some of the flavors were soap, dirt, rotten egg...I thought it was just a cute joke. Apparently, they are really flavored that way. My husband broke into them after dinner the other day. It was a Hoot!
been away for a while for our evening meal, but have just come back to finish off the last few words. Did music mom or siggy sign on yet?
Oh, Monpazier! Please post the recipe at babblers anon. I would love a cookie once in a while!
celiac? no flour?
I'll do that right now, Deutch. I've gone stale on the grid.
Ex, haven't seen here since I've been here. maybe she's lurking.
exwren, no, don't think so
bunny, no flour!
Can you have starchy food?
thanks, Monpazier. I'll look for it in a bit!
any help for the do5, do6, do7? pls
You mean like potatos? Yeah, they're okay. celiac just means no gluten -- no wheat, barley or oats.
just figured out the 5 and 6, now just the do7 pls
Has anyone heard from Miyavi lately?
pbr. I have the do7, what ladies of your brought to the marriage.
deustch - thanks!
So no fluffly desserts or bread, got it. That would stink! It's kind of like being on Atkins without wanting to. At least you'll have cookies soon!
I saw Miyavi briefly as she signed of and I signed on.
It's not so bad. I think I have a natural tendency to stay away from foods that make me sick. I never drank OJ and only recently found out I'm alergic to it! LOL
Any clues for the ad 6/21?
*raises hand* I saw Miyavi several days ago :)
ty Deutsch it always seems quiet without her!!
yw, pbr, how about a clue for the 5 and 6, please
awww...thank you ^_^
Great, where was she? LOL Howdy!
We have missed you Miy lol
Thanks Caitlyn! :D I feel lurved XD Deutsch, last time I saw her she was air-guitaring in front of her mirror XD
M&M ad 6 21 means skillful or deft, dextrous
That sounds like her, Miyavi, but I thought she was a drummer!
lol Deutsch! Air drumming just seems to make you look like a fool...at least air guitar peple can tell what you're doing. Air drumming...looks like a toddler having a temper tantrum
LOL Miyavi! You've created a nifty image in my mind!
((( Miya!! ))) :D:D:D
lmao Deutsch! Yes, just imagine a slightly taller toddler with bright pink/red hair, having a temper tantrum...and that's me, air-drumming XD
Heeeeeey Babs! A more pert tush today? ^^
Thanks, Deutsch
heh! cover of Vogue today, Miya! lol! :D
yw, M&M :)

re - a grayish green color
oooo Miyavi!!! good to see you! where have been?!! (((((((BIG HUG!!))))))))
Thank you Deutsch and Bunny
deutsch.....I had never tried to post in BabblersAnon and am having trouble.....sorry about that! You can probably google the recipe....flourless peanut butter cookies or magical peanut butter cookies. There are only 4 ingredients and the best peanut butter cookie ever.
dr 5/12, please?
1 cup peanut butter 1 cup sugar 1 egg, beaten 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, mix all ingredients. Drop by tablespoons on ungreased baking sheets, about two inches apart. You can flatten with a fork. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until set. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
did miyavi leave?
Way to go bunny!!! That's it! You can also use Splenda .
cybernan -- which one? or do you need all I am trying to figure out the dr6,7,8
dr 5/12 legal term (rearrange the letters in ri 4/4) dr - and appliance used to make clothes not wet
cyber - sounds like greed
sorry.. dr 5/12? -----have makes arid and french right
cyber - plural dr4
oh wow - awoke to pb cookies!!!
Hi Renfield.....deutsch, did you get Bunny's post for the cookie recipe?
i did....8)
dr 6 & 7 (plural): snooze (s) dr 8: snoozier
done and done! Thanks Monpazier and bunny! I have it in my recipe file including the splenda sub idea. Someone will be happily surprised some evening!

yayyyy Deutsch!! :D
Musicmom, we were just asking about you! Hi!
hi Musicmom : )
I made a recipe of PB cookies last night. I am offering one to each of you before I go.......
I thought my ears were burning. I had a business meeting this morning. Had to be gone for a couple of hours.
sorry, babbler, I only meant I copied the recipe and added it to my file. Really need to watch my language, don't I?! LOL 37 to go!
Thanks, monpazier! It's delish!
ooops! lol! :D
sniff, can't have peanuts...
FWAH! Why, why, why did my computer choose NOW to die? *rolls eyes* sorry for suddenly disappearing :/ Hi everyone who came while I was AWOL...
i printed the help from babbler anon today. Much easier to work with. I got 66 words on my own before I did that though. This is much easier than yesterday.
hellooooo everybody!!! : )
cybernan -- finally got it ty
I suck at this game.
Hey Temple! :D
Miss Mouse, so do I...*rolls eyes and grits teeth* it's part of the fun! Er, really...
i give up, ho 6/39, been on that one since I started...
Hey MissMouse--You're in great company! Have yet to finish a puzzle but keep coming back for more! Welcome to the club!
hi T-Owl! : ) hi MIssMouse : )
Well said, Mom...hear hear XD
Good afternoon all...Bunny, ho 6 is the seat used to ride on the back of an elephant or camel...
ho6/39: A seat, usually fitted with a canopy and railing, placed on the back of an elephant or a camel.
hiya babs : )
hello.
Hi Mom23 : ) Hi Norad : )
sa6, please? i cannot see it!
sa6: A spiritual awakening sought in Zen Buddhism, often coming suddenly.
survived yet another horrendous meeting!! *throws fists overhead, in celebration*
...never mind! : )
sa + one of the t 4's
Did you get it Bunny? If you're not up on your animal seats...try this ho* as in ho* do you do? + another term for father + a consonant
Woo, go Eva! *no idea what meeting she's on about*
in China it's 3AM.
TY, TY Norad! I use that wo** all the time too!
um, what?
Done!!!!! .......thanks for the help :)
Almost there, two to go!
Woo hoo Nan!
You use that wo**? Really?
heh, thanks miy -- those who were around yesterday know i had to sit through a hideously long and boring meeting yesterday...had to do another one today. have another meeting tomorrow, though im hoping it wont be nearly as nap-inducing or head-banging-against-wall-moti vating as the last two!
congrats, cyber!! :D
congrats cybernan!
NO, lol! Eva, did you take play-dough with you?
lol Eva...this is when I'm glad I'm not old enough to work :D Though school is boring enough in itself...
Have to run -- getting my hair cut in an hour.
bye cyber : )
bye cyber...how will we know you after the haircut?? :)
so, anyone want to give out more clues? :)
which ones do you need, MissMouse?
heh, i couldve today -- there were so many people there, no one wouldve noticed! for tomorrows, i actually hafta take my laptop to demonstrate how we do stuff... so it may still be a STUPID meeting, but at least ill have something to DO...heh
as long as you don't ask for the as's, still monkey typing... sure!
G'day, mates!
hi bugzy! : )
i have 26 words for 253 points. so...any? i have mostly 4 and 5 letter words. i have a few 6.
Hi Bugzy...clues for what MissMouse...
for words...nevermind.
as6 anyone? I assume the as7 is the plural of the as6? btw, beautiful day in the bay area today, just a bit cold...
as6 and as7 have to do with british courts, I think
G'Day Sheilas : )
MissMouse, have you got the list from Babbler's Anonymous yet? It's in the Friends of Babble panel, on the right of your screen. Then you can tell us which ones you need and we can give you the right clues. : )
MissMouse, have you compared what you have to the list in Babblers Anon? It's easier for us to help if you know the first letter or two of what you need...
ANJ!!!! how did today go??? :D
The as6 is a session of a court - as7 is a plural. But it looks like rear end + si4/9. As in, "My as6 grew tremendously with each of my children" :)
G'day Bruce :)
But as6 and as7 sound like when you're going to try on clothes, you ask about iffa they come-a in these as*****.
as6 - as + mass then plural
Hi Babs : ) Better than expected thanks dear. Just have to wait and see now...
Hi all, to use Anj's saying WooT You have 0wo4/9(s) left to find
Hi Miya - how are you?? : )
you only get the stat panel if you have a membership, right?
good for you, Anj, glad to hear it. Fingers crossed now.... :)
Hi Schro : ) er, I got that from Toes : )
congrats, Schroeder! : )
LOL, great clues! Puts me at finished, thanks you two!
bugzy, LMAO! Thanks! Hi Anj!
Hi Anj, Schroeder - and Yay for Schroeder!
Right Mouse. It took me about 5 minutes of playing to realize that it's a bargain.
MissMouse, the stats panel is if you pay, but Babbler's Anonymous is available to all. : )
I'm great thanks Anj! High on aromas from a necktie XD And yourself?
congrats, Bunny! : )
congrats, schroeder, bunny!
oooh wait...gotta go do the foody business. Be back as soon as possible :)
Congrats Bunny!!!
Hi BunnyV, Bugzy, Deutsch : ) Miya, not THE tie : )
see you later, Miya : )
I'd shrink back if upgrading was a monthly fee, I'm a tightwad, but it's one time, $10. Worth every penny.
I think "assier" should be allowed, too. It can be used in the same way "I got much assier after each pregnancy" :)
thanks everyone.
later days, Miyavi!
Bye Miyavi, Yay Bunny!
I agree Bugz! (At least I'm not the only one with a swollen glute from the kiddos! Used to have the figure of a board...now there is enough as 6 to go around!) Bye Mya!
wait...i dont understand the babblers anon.
MissMouse, see there is a panel on the right of your screen, Friends of Babble? Bottom of the list....
yes, i clicked that.
stats puzzle?
then click General, then stats, then the first one with today's date...
thank you.
you're very welcome. : )
*SINGS* "i heard the world up, late night holding my breath tight tryin to keep my head on right theres a chill in the air nobody could care how youre caught up in the fight of your life" *DANCES* *suddenl y becomes aware of other people on the chatlog*
G'Day mates....
EB !!! :D
Babs!! 8 D
Hi EasternBlue :)
one more question...what does Ze 1 - ,Ze4x1 mean?
Hi EasternBlue!
Hiya Tink!!
great icon, EB! :D
Oh, adorable, Eastern!
Hi EB : ) *Thursday Throwdown for EvaNadine* : D
Miss Mouse - One 4-letter word that starts with Ze
missy -- for example: Ad 4/10 the word starts with the letters "ad" its 4 letters long / worth 10 points
EasternBlue you are as cute as ever!!!
MissMouse, you need to see Babble Rules, (at the top of the page). basically, heh, what Evanadine said! :)
*blush* thanks everyone!
hey! i was a-singin and a-dancin, if ya didnt notice!
YEAH Eva, we saw ya shakin' it!
we let you have some space, Evanadine ;)
no, i understand that. i'm talking about the ones that have the x in them. i figured it out.
evanadine - what song is that??
...LOL! : )
You stage people, evana!
heh, well, anj threw me down!
Oh, *puts down the medical kit* I thought you were having a se.... uhm a fit! LOL
its called "Heard the World" by O.A.R. -- its off their new album, which i just got over the weekend and have been listening to endlessly all week...heh
Miss Mouse - One 4-letter word that (x = times) starts with Ze
LOL!!!
Whew! Done. Anyone need something before I go?
...blimey, the Z is getting some work out today isn't it.. : /
Yay Minbat!
hey Anj, nice biog update! lol! : )
Anj, the Zs are a dream. lovely! : )
congrats, Minbat! : )
I just found this awful game a couple of days ago, and my life is ruined.
Way to go Minbat!!
Downloaded Miyavi out of curiosity, very Slipknot meats Korn at a tea party, husbands going to love it. Not in English though...
no, Minbat, your life is much improved and enriched cos you met us!! :D
ro5 please?
Minbat, know what you mean! Wake up, Babble, wander aimlessly til bed time, repeat...
Minbat welcome to the club of dirty houses and piles of laundry, oh and last minute dinners....lol
ro5 - plural
plural of ro 4/4 before it
The first time I played, I couldn't believe anyone could ever finish it, and then I payed attention to the chat, and you all showed me where to look and how to do it, and now I'm learning all sorts of ridiculous new words.
Minbat - congrats on finishing... we prefer to think of our lives being greatly enhanced by the Babble experience...it's all the OTHER stuff that ruins Babble (work, laundry, dishes...)!!
Yay! Minbat...welcome to the Babbletrix : ) BunnyV...if you think Miyavi is fun, try downloading some Dir en Grey as well : D
I can't spell properly anymore :(
wait till you start using them in general conversation!! you know you have when you meet with a startled expression! LOL! :D
Ro5... plural of the ro4/4 that means a duty roster.
bunny - in my profile - I updated & added some quotes from W-T-P...the first one is quite appropriate to your last comment!! : )
I use ho6/39 all the time at rodeos, myself. You know, "Ho6/39, Pardner" :)
Psycho, Scars, Drained Away...ermmm...scary stuff, you're talking to a line dancer here!
oh - i guess it is an ro4... *blush*
Yes, this morning I used the ad4/10 at the breakfast table. But I haven't yet found a use for the first do4/5
(Correction, that's because I didn't know what it meant.)
That's a Nike ad ... "Just do4/5!" BTW ad4/10 is one of my most favorite wo5/20!! ;)
lol! what did you need it for? stale bread?
my favorite new babble words are the AS 6 + 7 sounds like theyre referring to the vastness of ones posterior...heh
Oh yes, very appropriate EB!
evanadine - I said earlier, "My as6/33 grew tremendously with each pregnancy!" LOL
...ol! I wouldn't court such an opinion : )
Oh darling, that fa4/8 on Radio Lisbon made me cry.
Anj, I took Psycho, reminds me of Steffani's Spiderwebs.
Look, I made my first icon-thing, whatever you call it.
OOOh, you're cute, min!
Woo Hoo Minbat, now you're trapped...FOREVER!!@!
Done! Yay for me! Anyone need clues?
My icon looks like it could eat BV's icon...
Yea, bugzy!
WTG Minbat... What is that animal, anyway?
Uh, it's an awkward question... but I'm feeling strangely empty now that I'm done. What do I do with the rest of my day now?
congrats, Bugzy! : ) cute Minbat! : )
woo hoo bugzy!!
Congrats Minbat!!! Hurray for Bugzy!!!!
Good job Bugz. Answer: it's a wild minbat.
Not now, switched to the Mr. Hyde BV!!
Yay Bugz : ) Bunny..haven't got that one, although you could try Clever Sleazoid or Umbrella if you want to scare the kids... lol
DOH! Ask a silly question... :)
eeek! a monster with big spiky teeth!! :s
gnash! gnash! gnash!! (monty python)
Minbat - Now you just need to make a profile so you have a cool little handbag and we can read all about you :)
*sings some more* "didnt you love me faster then the devil run me straight into the ground drownin deep inside your water drownin deep inside your sound" *dances some more*
*hands evanadine a hairbrush*
Hmmm, didn't work Anj, the twins have joined Eva on the dance floor. Better than Psycho though (Umbrella).
G'day everyone! : )
hi Lola!! :D
hi lola!! 8 D
Hi Lola!
I better get, clean a walkway through the living room! Back tomorrow, and the next day, and the next, and the next....
*runs up and snogs lola*

bye bunny!
Hi Lola - Bye Bunny :)
later days, Bunny!
*whew* i think i might get a bit carried away when this album comes on. ;)
In a good mood today evaN??!! : D
sorry lola, dear -- im rather enjoying my new CD...hehe... been singing to everyone on the chatlog
evaN, no worries, you're a great kisser ; ) What's the cd? : )
new O.A.R. cd called "Stories of a Stranger"
I just upgraded to pro. Love the stats thing.
Hi All - how's the grid? Hope its a nice gentle one as it's been Rainbows night & 19 5-7yr olds do take the stuffing out of one, so to speak! Also found out today that the 3 littlies are with us for 2 more nights! Starting to feel like Miss Hannigan in Annie LOL!
Hi Siggy!! Just kiddin'...welcome back musicmom...congrats on going pro...now all you need is a pix & a bio....*hint! hint! nudge! nudge!*
hi snowy! the grid's a nice one today : ) congrats on going pro, musicmom!! : )
Hi Snowy : ) Hi babe (((xx))) EvaN, you have to send me some of those tracks : )
Hi snowy! : ) Woo! Welcome to the pro club musicmom! We normally throw a little party when someone up-grades...here, have a glass of babble champers *hands musicmom glass of champers*
Hi Snowy! *sings* Little girls, little girls...everywhere I turn I can see them.... Little girls, little girls...night & day I eat sleep & breathe them.... I'm an oridinary woman with feelings...
Hi Snowy! congrats, musicmom!
will do anj -- ill try to remember to rip the album tonight. :)
Hey babe! (((xx))) : )
anj -- have you ever heard of OAR? theyre kinda-sorta like Dave Matthews-meets Bob Marley-meets a touch of Jack Johnson
congrats musicmom - welcome to the slightly skewed world of the babble pro! LOL Its a great club to belong to if somewhat bizzarre at times!
No I haven't, min you I tend to quail at the mention of Dave Matthews : /
Evanadine, me too me too me too I want songs too! :D
Congrats musicmom !
LOL EB ourGuiding County put on the show last October. It's getting to be an apt song for me!
Dave Matthews : / Bob Marley : D Jack Johnson ??
will do babbler -- youll get em too! anj -- i wouldnt say in any way that OAR sounds like DMB, but they still have that sorta folk-rock kinda sound...
Ahhh, the S's are done. Going to take a short break and make tea and food! later!
ooh ooh!! folk rock!! ooh! :D
laters, Deutsch : )
Later Deutsch!
...sounds good to me EvaN : )
kinda folk-meets-rock-meets-reggae-i sh
snowy - now all you need is some bathtub gin...it'll make it ALL bearable!!
evaN, nice, unusual sound! I like them : )
they started out as local boys, but theyre FINALLY getting the larger radio play now... ive got almost every album theyve put out, i think ill try to send you guys a variety. :)
lola -- which song are ya listening to? my personal favorites (not including the new album) are "hey girl" and "crazy game of poker"
wonderful day : )
hi kids.
thats off the new album...a good song. :)
hi boreetos! : )
Hey boreetos! : )
Afternnon Boreetos : )
hi boreetos
hi boreetos!
what's all this talk about DMB and OAR?!
boreetos -- might i say that every time i see your screenname, i think of Dorito Burritos?! hehe
evaN, you can listen to all the songs on the new album on the website...that's what I'm doing : )
boreetos -- ive been singing the new OAR album to the chatlog...heh... are you a fan?
how is everyone today?
Can you make vodka in a bath EB - more my kind of spirit. LOL we're having fun here, God alone knows what the neighbours must think! The 6 yr old twins are reading two different stories out loud at the same time! One of them lost a tooth today - its under her pillow in an envelope and the 3 yr old is shouting ' quick get to sleep 'cos the tooth fairy is coming any minute now' whilst trying to loosen her own cos she wants money too! CHAOS REIGNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i like their first album a lot. I haven't heard any one the new one yet.
lola -- give a listen to "love and memories" thats the single on the radio right now...thinking i might use that for one of my dance classes next year. :)
boreetos -- theyve actually got LOTS of albums out, just 2 on major labels... i was gonna send anj + babbler a few songs later this evening
Dorito Burritos, eh?... ok...
snowy....ROFL!!! Bathtub vodka it is, my dear!! Sounds like fun in your house tho'!!
right on. How long have they been around?
well babblers, I've been concentrating on finishing the grid and missed out on the chat...as usual...have a hard time doing both...however, I'm done and need to take off...any clues anyone?
golly, i think theyve been together for like 10 years or something like that...theyre local to where i am, so ive heard the name a lot longer than the rest of the country...theyre only just finally getting larger recognition now...
evaN, it's a bit more rock than the others. I like it...what kind of dance?
yeah, Hey Girl was a pretty big hit over here. That's the first single of their's I heard.
lola -- if i teach another pom class next year, i was thinking of using it for them. its got a good beat, so it would be easier to hit the moves
I did the bio but can't figure out the icon thing. BTW you can call me siggy if you want:-)
UGH busy day here. Not a lot of time to play.
boreetos -- "hey girl " is one of my favorites... its actually been around for a long time, on several of their albums...changes a bit each time. in one of the other versions, there was a whole extra verse about how he gets invited up to her place. ;)
The 3 yr old is now singing 'The sun willl come out tomorrow'! Spontaneously whats more! Annie the musical is alive & well and living in my house! Wish Daddy Warbucks was here too!
I'm leaving again to help my daughter with her GS bronze award. bAck later.
hey musicmom, the icon thing took me awhile...my 16 yr old son finally showed me...do you use Google?
awesome! Hey, do you think I could get included on that list of people you're going to send a couple of songs to?
I do use google. My DH is a computer whiz. I"ll have him help me tonight after dinner.

help with do5/20 and do6/33
I think you will get that position, Anj. Consultancy is a great gig, I always think. lots of room for creativity and brainy type work.

No idea. The street likely.
Cheers Mab, and thanks for the support Baggo : ) I've been doing that sort of work for a while now. It's nice to be able to do something positive to make someone else's professional life that bit easier.
peri, the do5/20 - sounds like a word for putting a fire out as in 'd... the flames' and is to do with finding water with pointy sticks and black arts : )
i think that you would be absolutely wonderful at it...(its so nice to have music whilst i babble)
peri, add e to your do4/9 and then plural.
mab, don't have the do4/9 yet :(
peri opposite of up without the n

whoops...: ) that was relative time dilation in an amazingly compressed space : D
Just a thought, baggo, but I think not many know your thread is there on babs anon. It's nicer having you live, but the thread is great for details and lengthier observations.

agreed...
yellow, can I get a clue for the ho 6/39, please??
tr 6 & 7 (plural combo) tr + type of poem.... tr 5/10 - horses do this (plural)
tr6/21 add de to the tr4/4, tr7 is the plural
chic - ho 6/39... the question + abbreviation/another name for father + 2 point letter... (the whole thing almost makes a "u" shape on the grid)
chic, once you get it, you're going to say "ho_ _ _ _" heck did I miss it!! (not really, cuz it took me awhile to monkey type it, but I thought that was funny!!)
u r funny, eb and thanx!
lol Eastern!
hee hee hee...glad I could make you laugh...usually my jokes are lame!!
hey evan, what part of MD do you live in?
More Marylanders?? Where r u boreetos?
I'm in Seattle. Nowhere near MD. sorry.
Oh, OK. I'll butt out, since you weren't addressing me anyway... but for the record, I am just outside Baltimore.
our local sports team is evidentally going to some big thing soon though. ;)
good to know. You know Mariner Arena?
Yeah... it's a dump... if we're talking about 1st Mariner (not be confused with Seattle Matriners)... formerly the Baltimore Arena
i live kinda right in between annapolis, baltimore, and DC (i work in DC)
Make that Seattle Mariners, even...
drum -- where outside baltimore are you? im in crofton
Eva - live in Cockeysville/Timonium area... work in Sparks
yeah, that's the one. I used to work with a FiberOptic lighting company, we had to come out there in February a few years ago and hang off the edge of that Arena and install lighting. :( I believe Disney on ice was there at the time.
boree - that's about all that goes through there any more, except for the Baltimore Blast indoor soccer team... Motley Crue is coming to town, though... and the Stones, if I remember correctly.
The city def needs to think about a new arena, but between all the police corruption and the mayor's gubernatorial campaign, don't see it happening anytime soon
nice, yeah its really cold there. and being outside all day hanging off of a building three stories up is not a lot of fun. the weird triangular bits on top were especially fun. That scaffolding was rickety!
This winter's been weird... it's pretty cold today, but supposed to back into the 50s by Sat (as it has been for most of JAn)
Have I said recently how much I miss my beloved DC? Clues for HA 5/24 and SI 5/22, please?
Well, off to go burn some of the holiday fat off... talk to y'all later *waves to all*
That's pretty nice, I wish we were there now! But alas, our division closed and I moved on. :) Speaking of which I need to get back to work so I can go home! Everyone have a great night, and I'll more than likely see you tomorrow. thanks again Evan for the OAR songs!
Bye drum.
mab - ha 5/22 - the 'foggy' thing + d si - all shapes & si_ _s (but instead of the s use a D)
bye drum! bye boreetos!
EB, mab (lovely lovey, new boyfriend?), boreetos, evanadine, drum, and everyone else right now - Hi! (did the cat and Australia come out ok?)
see ya later boreetos -- still sending songs...hehe
Sorry for the quick departure, but I gotta go...see you tomorrow!! Bye!!

Thanks EB, bye!

Near the mall or near York?
JBs, lovely new boyfriend? Me? Sadly no. Cat is well, though.
heh, near the mall. i guess it helps to be specific. ;)
help with er5/10,. hope it is not obvious
plural what one says when uncertain (3 letters), plus second vowel, plus squiggly letter. er5
Hee, Hee, mab, I jumped on earlier this morning and saw that you hooked up with a genuine aboriginal Aussie! evanadine, good thing I don't live too close to a real mall anymore, my pocketbook would be suffering more. Fortunately, Babble takes up the slack!
Oh, i get it now! JBs if you know any single men, aboriginal or not, do send them to me in Mass. Please!
be back in a bit.
No men, mab, I promise! Cats, hmm, maybe... AFK for a little while

Okay I wasn't going to ask but can I get some help with ho 6/39? I'm completely stumped
Exwren, you still here. I injured my left knee in early Dec, 2005. Torn cartilage (meniscus). Had surgery on 1/23. Outpatient. All went well and I am recovering at home. Have been having a great time playing BAbble as much as I want every day. Plan to return to work 2/1 :(
need help with fa4/8 (think it is the 2nd one), fa5/28
found fa4/8 , anyone else playing?
The second fa4/8 a sad Portuguese folksong Re your knee surgery, hope you're doing the therapy, it really helps.
I'm here for just a little bit longer, have 8 more words to find.
Mary, I am doing home therapy at the moment. 4x/day. Will see if I need outpatient therapy when I go for my f/u appt next week.

The 2nd fo5/18 is the plural of fo4/8
Thanks, Mary
You have 0 words to find. I am done!!!!
Congrats Peri. I'm still plugging away I have 12 to go.
Just found my last two words, am now finished. If anyone needs these two that drove me crazy: da6/21 and it's plural da7/32 - small ungulate mammals of Africa and Asia with rodent-like incisors and feet with hooflike toes LOL all - nite
Have to go now. Will be back tomorrow.
hey..hey do7/48? dr7? dr8?
Dr7 snoozes; dr8 the most dr----
Actually, dr8 is more dr----, not the most. Sorry 'bout that:)
do7 - What the women paid for the "privilege" of marriage back in the day.LOL
Does anyone else have a clue for the da6 and da7? I've not had any luck.
Mary posted this a little bit ago da6/21 and it's plural da7/32 - small ungulate mammals of Africa and Asia with rodent-like incisors and feet with hooflike toes
da 6/21 looks a lot like ta 6/18
thanks pinecone
Thanks, I didn't have that ta6 yet, but now I've got both!
thanks smithchick......
You're welcome!
Six words to go. ad6/21?-fe4 and fe5????
found the ad6/21-----
fe4 -a variant spelling of the Hatfield & McCoy thing, then the plural for the fe5.
Muffinman, are you there?
thanx again smithchick.
No problem...
hello folks, does anyone have the as 6/7 combo?
have 3 to go, and there e words. The ea6/21s, and the er5/10???
A session of a court. A decree or edict rendered at such a session.
The ea6's are 6/18. Both derivatives of the same word. Not too difficult at all.:). I don't have the e5.
Just got the er5. Drop the last consonant and add a vowel then consonant.
Any clues on the ho6 or the ho4/12?
pretty simmple :) dont get the er5 clue!
try the ho 4/12 by the numbers. not many combos that will fit.
Got the ho4. The er5... Think parts of a song or poem and drop the first letter.
thanks ...Done.....BYE
Still confounded on the ho6
congrats tim!
gotta go daughter needs the puter
ho6 = "A seat, usually fitted with a canopy and railing, placed on the back of an elephant or a camel."
Bye, Tim (that's my son's name:)).
Thank YOU! I even knew that word from crossword puzzles.
oh smithchick, just got the ea 6's. smart clues ;)
Not me, I've been babbling obsessively and forget all about crossword puzzles and all their clues. Could I get another hint? Please?
Thank you, LeslieAnn. I don't get time too chat and participate in clue-sharing very often, so I'm enjoying it!
the way you do something+what you say when you finally get it.
Musicmom, thanks! Brilliant clue! (I tend to get a little carried away with my exclamation points).
You're welcome! that's the first time I've ever been able to help someone else.
That surprises me. You must not have been playing long.
Just since yesterday. <g> and I'm already addicted
join the club musicmom!
It doesn't take long to get addicted. I used to play so obsessively that I'd stress if I didn't finish a puzzle, but I've gotten a little better. Do you have a clue for the first se5/10?
LeslieAnn - I did --already went pro hehe
Never mind. I've just concussed myself slapping my head. Duh!!!
It's a plural of se 4/4 does that help? I am missing the second se 5/10 and se 6/18
What about the sa6?
sa6/18 anyone?
sa6 - sudden enlightenment. A Japanese awakening
Can't remember the precise clue. I think the state of being you egt in Buddism or Zen or suppin
sa6 - past tense of what you do in a chair + either ** + third vowel
There is an se5/10 that is the plural of the se4/4 before it (one who looks into the future) and there is a 5/10 that is a variant spelling of se5/20 and the se6/18 is the plural of that.
Good evening Ladies and any lurking gents.
*lurk lurk*
Got it! Thanks. Now I'm missing one of the dr5/12s. I have the one that rhymes with trees and what one does with a towel. What am I missing?
Yea! Thanks doxyflower! I'm down to t's now.
Ah thank you smithchick I was stumped on that spelling variant.
Hi torgone :)
whoohoo way to go with the variant clue. I got them!
Hi everyone! Just touching base before I try to go to sleep :)
Heya hoot!
ad 5/22? I just realized I missed that one.
hi GW. Are you getting excited about tomorrow?
Good luck GW! Tomorrow is the day right?
plural of the 4/10
ad5/22 is plural of the ad4
ad5/21 plural of ad4/10 before it.
Varients suck. I got most just trying combos til somrthing stuck! Three words left. Second dr 5/12 First to 4/4 tr 5/12 Any clues please?
ty again
Hey woulf, you lurking too? Heeeelp! 3 words
Thanks kristi -- yes it is -- it starts at 5 AM when we have to head to the hospital for all the pre op prep since Kirsten is the first patient of the day -- c-section is happening at 7:30
We'll be thinking of all of you. Pretty exciting though!
my best wishes to the both of you for a smooth delivery and recovery, and a healthy baby boy
second dr not wets but dr***
Congrats Greywoulf dr 5/12 think towel dr 5/12 subtract from ad 6/21
Woohoo!!! I'm done! dr5/12- the first one you change the last letter of the dr5/14, the second is what you happens when you paint, it *****, the third is like your ad6, only drop the a. tr5/12 a sort of past tense of the tr4 before it. to4 like what you do with a horn, but with a different second vowel.
1st to4/4 -- hoity to4y
first t04/4 just doit!! **it
finished for today.
All the best, GW! Here's to a healthy baby and quick recovery!
add a vowel to the tr4/4 to tr5/12
Thanks musicmom but I've got those - need the third one. I may have the order wrong.
tr5/12 -- you get hooked up to an EKG with elec-tr5-s
Hey, congratulations on the forthcoming bundle of joy!
Just dropped in to wish you and K and S a healthy day tomorrow, GreyWoulf! Please try to drop us an update!
Thank you all for your well wishes! It really means a lot to both me and the (hopefully) sleeping Mama to be :) (*Hugs*)
do you have dr 4/5 --- add a consonant
or maybe hoot could give us an update if gw is indisposed!
harp -- I will have info by Sat at the latest -- I have a feeling that I won't be able to get to sleep tomorrow night for a little bit so you will probably see me then ;)
Leslie -- unlikely -- hoot is in Memphis and I am near Philly :)
Wolfie: Tell Kristen, we all love her, and am awaiting the arrival of Sebastian. Tell her for me, we are all on Babble waiting. She will do fine, Woflie, she will do fine.
well goodness, i mean she's going to know how it went though, right?
Thanks JoJo -- I will hoot -- which one are you still missing?
Those clues aren't helping. I have tried every permutation and it either says not a valid word or not valid for this puzzle! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeek!
LA -- well... yeah... I guess so.... I 'm a little distracted right now... OK?
hey, of course, i was just trying to get you off the hook ;)
He'd better tell me first!
Okay - I'm down to 2 si6/18 si5/10
You know I will, Mom!
Need the third dr 5/12. Not sure I have them in the right order.
musicmom- Did your parents or grandparents ever say yes si**** to you? Add another vowel to the end of an si4/4 and then pluralize it.
Mom the 18 is what you call an older man with a double vowel and plural
Sorry - How you address and older man
The first dr5/12 is just like the dr5/14 except it has a different consonant at the end. The second dr5/12 is what you do with a towel and the third dr5/12 is skilled. (The a6 without the a).
there are 3 dr5/12's 1- dr4/5 + s 2 - a towel dr*** a surface that it is brushed over 3 - change the beginning of the to4 from a t to a dr
WHOOOHOOOOOO Thanks - I'm done! and before bedtime even. Good night all. Off to watch the Daily Show with my husband.
congrats musicmom!!
Congrats, musicmom and Welcome to the pack!!!! G'night :)
Thanks everyone. See you tomorrow. Please tell me we play on the weekends too?
st 6?
Your husband is John Stewart??
of course we do musicmom!
Everyday, musicmom -- rain or shine :)
st6 -- st + ro4/5
st6 -- st + past tense of ride
ro4/5 wirh st in front
No my husband is better looking than JS but not as funny<g>
woulf - din'y help. Not for this puzzle - or I'm just not getting it!
ack!! i thought to try that but was using the wrong D. thanks, guys.
I'm sorry, but I'm a beginner and need help w/the dr 6/33, 7/48 and 8/65. Please help?
Thanks GW! That dr5/12 was what I neeed to finish! Can't believe you can concentrate at this moment, but maybe it helps? Are you going to get any sleep before going to the hospital?
M & M-they are all forms of another expression for becoming sleepy
I'm going to be sad to give up my wombat. Aside from the utter cuteness of the creature, isn't it a wonderful sounding word? Sort of rolls around the mouth. What is tomorrow's theme?
i will be just as sad to give up my koala, eva!
Think we'll have to do another Australian day soon.
I was able to get the dr 6/33 and 7/48. Can't seem to get the 8/65
add an ending that means "more so," m&m
M & M -if you are sleepier....
M&M--even more sleepy
Eva -- YW -- I am trying to burn off enough energy so I can fall asleep -- so I will be signing off soon -- but I wanted to check in with my Babble buddies before doing so :)
hey wolfie!!!! we're very excited for you and kirsten!!!
Thanks, guys. Any help with ha 6/36?
Everyone, just chill and enjoy the game, that is what it is suppose to be. Wolfie, Sleep well, you will need your sleep to suport your wife in the next few days. Chill everyone else, Gads, Babble is suppose to be a fun game.
Thanks Ren!!! -- I will get everyone updated as soon as I reasonably can -- 1st I have to figure out how to post pics to the web so I can share ;D
m&m, use the "more so" ending again for a time when it's foggy outside
It is astounding, isn't it, that so many of the most momentous things in our lives take place in the blink of an eye...and to think of the incredible journey your son is about to make!
re 6/21?
does the hospital have a web site for the new borns? we have those here.
Leslie: 1. Any of various Mediterranean plants including the mignonette, having densely flowered terminal racemes and divided petals. 2. A grayish or dark green to yellow green or light olive.
Ren -- I will ask them :)
woot! done. thanks, folks.
re6/21- A grayish or dark green to yellow green or light olive
Good morning everyone. Just 7 words to find this morning, but I might need a little help.

Goodnight GW. Sleep well!
GW: You will make it. Your son is going to be born. Happiness!
Ishult-the seat used to ride and elephant
Evening all! have been enjoying this for two days now :) do they publish a final list to compare to if you don't get all the words??
ho 6 - ho* do you do + what we say when we relize we know soemthing d** replace middle vowel w/ 1st vowel google A seat, usually fitted with a canopy and railing, placed or on the back of an elephant or a camel.
dish...yep, click the link that says view yesterday's puzzle...it will display the final word list
hi dish....go to yesterday's puzzle and you should be able to check
Kristinc: What do you think about all the bad press about the Seahawks? I hope, personally, they keep it up, that will pump up the Seahawks even more.
kewl...thanks a lot!
sut -- if you view the previous day's puzzle there is a button that will show you the complete list
nite wolfie!!! we are prayinng for you and kirsten.
And now Good Night to One and All! (*HUGS for All*) Will see you folks by Saturday :)
Managed to stay in Aussie mode, but traded my sweet wombat in for a Tasmanian Devil-for tomorrow's theme.Once heard Tasmanian Devils described, by someone who loved and rescued them, as in perpetual PMS mode.
GW: **HUGS**
JoJo-first off, I haven't paid attention so I'm not sure the extent and even so, oh well, just the fact that we made it to the Superbowl is really enough for me. And...we are now having a Superbowl party and watching it on the big screen, so good food and no evening service after all :)
LOL Eva!!!!! that's really good for the devil theme...PMS!!!!
jojo...when is the sb?
sb is a week from Sunday. I know because my neighbor has a big potluck party to which the whole town is invited. He has ordered a Turducken, a rather disgusting, cannabalistic sounding culinary creation consisting of a turkey stuffed with a duck stuffed with a chicken, all stuffed with stuffing.
Kristinc: Well, your hubby must be really savvy not to have an evening service on SuperBowl Sunday. We all can be celebrating or, crying in our beer, opps, coffee. But anyway, your husband, has chosen the right path.
eva...that's some stuffing!!! will you be babbling or attending the party?
I'll be attending the party, at least for some of the time. Almost none of us actually watch the game. It's about getting together and eating. Well, getting sleepy. Am available for a few more clues before signing off, if anyone needs them.
JoJo: small church, lots of families who are also a lot of fun and we usually just do small groups on Sunday nights anyhow so it was no big deal...we'll watch the sb in small groups:) Eva: sorry but that sounds kinda gross to me. You'll have to give us your opinion once it is tested
ok eva - see you tomorrow...i'm not to far from nodsville....8)
Ren: Pleez, you don't know. It is Feb. 5th @ 3:30 pm. Cheer for the Seahawks everyone. If you bad mouth them, like everyone on the east coast is doing, that just pumps them up. Keep it up, that is just good Karma.
sounds gross to me too-summons up images of geese being force fed by having their gullets stuffed in order to create fois gras. It may end up tasting fine, but the excess really makes me think about how much of American life revolves around looking for the next thrill, the next indulgence. Of course if it were chocolate instead... (-:
sorry jojo...i don;t watch regular tv....but we'll watch it!!!
chocolate.....YES~~~~~~~ 8)
Eva...here here!
Come on JoJo - they are saying the same things about the Steelers in Seattle! Goes with the territory. Chill. Saying goodnight Ladies and Gents. Finished, done, kaput. Will let you know the minute I hear from Woulf. As often as possible.:) Night all.
good nite hoot!!!!
Good night.
Kristinc: How about your hubby renting a big screen TV and having everyone in the congregation coming to watch the Seahawks, with good food from the congregation. Then at the end passing the hat. I bet it would be standing room only. You are in Seattle, for cryin' out loud!! WE HAVE THE EDGE, not matter what the east coast thinks, or Vegas. We have the edge!! WE have Hasslebeck, Totopu, Alexander, etc. Go for it guys.
Oh and the thrice stuffed turkey was a very medieval way of showing guestd the prosperity in the household. Understand it all winds up tasting like chicken. :):):)
any help for the wr5/18....have the one that connects hand to arm
wr 5 = sounds like what a baby does when they want something...like food, changing....
Hoot: No we aren't saying the same thing about the Steelers that all of the rest of the east coast are saying about the Seahawks. We are nice in Seattle, a bit more liberal than I like, but we are nice.
JoJo...we're using a big projector and we eat very well all the time so lots to look forward to--maybe with the exception of triple stuffed meat fest Eva will be experiencing :)
thanks ren
y/w dish
ea's, er's, fe and a few assorted odds and ends to go...might make 100 before the end ....if i don't fall asleep first :)
Kristinc: A big projector will work. My mother was really involved in her church, so I know what you mean. Go for it. You church goers really can put on a feed, believe me, I know. Get it out to the public tho, your hat will enjoy all the xt people than come back to your church.
JoJo...will do, signs and invites are out
Kristic: Try talk radio for advertising this, 710 Kiro may be able to get a little segment on, will publisize your SB Sunday thingy. Try John from 9-12, or Dori Monson 12:00-3:00, or Dave Ross 3:00-6:00. I listen to all of them. Not saying that they would agree to any of this, but it is worth a shot. But if they agree to advertise it, got to get a lot more of your church people in to feed everyone. Best Wishes!
I'll pass that on to Shawn. Thanks JoJo
hiya, I'm having a brain melt... to 4/4 , I have the guy's name, the circle and the bull. What's the missing one?
Kristinc: You know, I know you are a minister's wife, but you are a person too, with a very good brain, just suggest it as your suggestion, and don't take no for an answer. Sorry, I am a very 60's rebel child, but if you have an idea, go for it. The lord works in different ways. I am 60, but, I have learned a lot of things during this time.
do you have to** spelling?
Help just 3 to go, including sa6/18?
yes, ren
to 4 - the law to 4 - the little children
Also the da's 6 & 7?
sa + to** spelling
yep, I have those also..
Thanks for the sa Ren, I got the d's by myself so I've finished. Got about 3 minutes to give clues before I have to run, if anyone needs help!?!
da 6 * 7 word for hyrax then plural aslo sounds like a flower child's flower from the 60's w/ doubleconsonent anad ie rather that y ending then plural
JoJo...you crack me up! :) I say suggest it because things are crazy with me at the moment and in order for it to happen, Shawn will have to be on this one...therefore it is a suggestion. A great idea though--I'm not sure his expectations for promotion. But I hear you, when I want something, I stick with it :) I'd do you proud! I'm a redhead!
chic - there are 5 to 4 and 1 to 5 how many to 4/s do y ou have?
way to go ish!!!!!
Okay folks...I hate to admit this but I think I'm going to bed. Yes, 9:30...lame I know. take care
I'm missing one of to 4/4 's in a row;I have the last one.
Kristinc: You sound like a very good lady. What does your hair color have to do with it? I am probably very grey right now, but I will never be a grey haired old lady, I am proud to say I am Blonde, foiled, I will admit, but a woman has to look as best she can as long as she can. ~~ Of course your Shawn will have to be in on this, but stand strong, you are a WOMAN!!
to 4 = boy's name - 1 d to 4 - get a round to** to 4 - to** spelling to 4 - bull
Red heads are notoriously trouble...I try to live up to it. goodnight :)
Kristinc: Naw, redheads are not trouble, they are just beautiful.
found it! I thought I had tried that before..:-( my last one is a ro 4/4 between the 5/10 and the 4/8...
sorry - to 4 = boy's name - 1 d + s
ro 4 = to + cross consonent + 3rd vowel ro 4 - decays
looks like i'm stuck on the tos that's ro + cross consonent + 3rd vowel
found it! Yay I'm done! It's always the little ones that get me.... Thanx for your help, ren... much obliged...
y/w chic...the 4's got me yesterday!!!
I will stay for the flip... yesterday my lower back and hip were just killing me. couldn't sit in the comp. chair for long. I had a cortisone shot in my big toe today and it's made the rest of me feel good for a change...
whoa...chic...why in toe? do you get up and walk around for 5 minutes after 15 minutes of sitting?
I agree with Ren. Why the big toe???
way back when I was 17, I had a very large pony step on my toe. It took about 25 years to manifest but the joint is wacked. So I get a cortisone shot there about twice a year so it doens't fell like I'm walking on razor blades. I went 9 mos. this time since my last shot.
clues on the do 7/48... it's my last word?? please
what brides used to have before marriage...
chic... you rock! thank you!
