Where is everyone?
that's what I was thinking....
[waves at chic] glad to see I'm not alone in here
doesn't look like too big of a grid....
169, big enough. Look at all those K's!
Hi Darleen and chic, just waiting to see the stats...hmmm, should I start or not? that is the question...is there a theme for today?
I must be feeb... I didn't see that many words there. What coast are you on?
Th 5 is dragons...
chic, I'm in Wyoming... no coast :-(
I'm Az; when CA drops into the ocean we'll be coast again...
wow...10 mins in and I already used a word...ssshhhh, don't tell...thanks for the t 5 update, I'll go find an icon...
I found one! t 7/36...
chic, LOL. Yeah, well, you may THINK you'll be the coast, bwahahahaha. I think it will be Wyoming.
norad ... thanks for the hint. hahaha. I need all the help I can get esp at this hour.
P8/50
Hi all -- brain fried but not able to sleep ;) c7/36
iceboy, where've you been? Long time...
Hi GW {hugs}
Hi Darleen (*Hug*)
your welcome darleen, chic pointed it out... :) Hey GW, congratulations!! How are mom and son?
Congrats ,Grey Woulf on your new arrival! All is well I hope with Mom and son?
Doing well, Norad --- no complications other than low blood sugar for him, but that was expected since mom is diabetic
glad to hear all of you made it thru ok...I logged on just as you left yesterday...when will they be home?
When we left them, he was sleeping in mom's arms -- Kristianna is very happy to have a brother :)
Tuesday -- just enough time to finish my last minute prep work
I bet she can't wait for him to get big enough to play with...maybe you and she can log some sleep time before Tuesday then...
I'm gonna turn in in a few --- just getting some of my last major babble time before life totally changes ;) You saw I will be starting a new job in two weeks also, didn't you? It runs M-F 8-5 so I will not be able to do these late nights anymore --- will still be able to play during the week, but finishing will not always be an option
another c7/36
congrats on the new job...we will certainly miss your gentlemanly (is that a word?) ways on the late night chats...but I rarely get to finish anyway...too much full time mom stuff...and I only have one teen left at home...
Thanks, I will miss everyone as well -- so you better believe I will be doing my best to play on weekends!
we'll be looking for you...and now, it's off to bed for me, late high school basketball game tonight and early church youth retreat tomorrow...good night all
G'nite Norad (*Hug*)
* hugs * to you and yours GW
'nite, norad
nite chic...btw, like your dragon, is that St. George fighting him?
yes, it is by Rubens
p7/32
I'm off to lala land... (((hugs))) to GW and anyone still around. Be seeing you on the moon....
(*Hug*) chic -- sleep well
Time to get some well earned and much needed sleep :) (*Hugs to all *) G'nite!
night wolfie (((huggies)))
Hi All - this puzzle is a bit bigger than yesterday and a lot more big words.
Oh GW congrats.... I may have just missed you
hello hello is any one home ??
p 9/72
Morning gang :)
My, is it deserted here!
Morning Sprite, just got here.
Morning all, morning sprite, just arrived ..:)
I see GW has been on with his good news
morning sprite, FMitch, Chessy :) :) :)
Hi FMitch :) Seems the complete babble gang is busy elsewhere. I have gotten spoiled here, with always a couple of babble friends to play with :)
Hi chessy and sherb, I didn't want toget out of bed this morning, soo cozy and warm.
:D :D Chessy, sherb! See, there is part of the gang :) Good news from Woulf? Wonderful! So all went well?
is that the first 'Babble baby'?
sounds like it sprite, son and mom doing well.
I work up with work on my mind... hoping Babble will be a distraction...
I am pretty sure it is. SeBabbleastian.
lol sprite :)
lol
Hope Woulf will forgive me for calling his beautiful son names already ;) I am so glad, they deserve every bit of happiness.
and GW just heard on Thursday that he has a new job, so great news all round for him
love that sprite. I'm sure GW on't mind. must get tea, can't function without it......
I've just got the tea FMitch, but it's not helping a lot ...
I have a huge mug of tea here and I can't find any more words than before, so don't bother ;)
2nd mug usually does the trick for me, back in a bit.
Through my second mug of tea and all I keep seeing is 'trophee'. Argh.
this one is really sneaky :/
I was doing well, found the t7 and was just celebrating when I noticed the k and the fact it has 7 words off it, urgh!
I am glad to hear you say that, I feel like I have another grid than that which belongs to the stats panel.
I am finding this grid is not so easy!
I second that!
carried unanimously:((
Babble has a way of keeping you in your place! Yesterday I did well and was feeling good. Now today I wonder how i did so well yesteday!!!!
Babble is a humbling game for sure!
Can't believe I must find 4 more Kwords. But then again, I can never believe there are any Kwords in there. What is it, with that K-otic letter??
I have been monkey typing around the k and have only come up with three words. You always wonder if they really can produce all the intended words - and then lo and behold they do.
Also three here, one like a name, the other two anagrams of eachother. And stuck.
And mr Reeves will not take. :(
I have given up on the ks for now was getting fed up with so many "oops", will come back to them later.... oh thanks sprite at least I have one of them now.
Ow right, one more. The one who inkerits your fortune.
Do you have the one that we get sugar from but with a different spelling?
whew I have the K's done.... do you have the k 5/18 sounds like the things you get in your money change
I am not sure, am a bit slow in uptaking your clue. I have 6 now, all 4/8.
ooppss hello to all
i7/28
LOL Hi Blaze, good to see you!
Blaze, hi and thanks! Thanks to you I finished those blasted Ks!
morning Blaze :) ...and why is the name of a city in Normandy accepted?
morning Blaze :)
hello back to all.... the K's are like Q's to me... yech
'Cause it also means 'known'.
apparently, it's also a breed of ducks... you learn something knew every day...
LOL!
I found a 7, I found a 7! :) *stares grateful at that first biggie*
WTG - which one??????
yeah sprite
The i7 :)
oooooh! "leaps back to grid to find it"
It is sung in celebration :)
there's a p8 which you might use to describe someone in favour of marriage...
thanks sherb :)
That prefix is driving me bananas, really. Thanks for the clue, I am working on it.
Sherb - what an excellent clue - thnx
it is also some one who's job requires him to work in a local association
this puzzle is like wading thro treacle, half way now, time for a break, bbl :)
chesdsy I absolutely agree
later Chessy :)
time for me to be off too, but will be back later. Byee for now.
later FMitch :) ...ointment would have been a good word...
yes, to soothe our tired grid locked eyes..., later fmitch
I really feel empty-headed. Later chessy!
well good nite to all... my head needs to find my pillow... see you all tomorrow
sherb, thanks, got the P8 :) :) And the U5 that goes with it too.
Bye Blaze, sweet dreams! :)
nite Blaze... sleep well :)
Ooooh! And the P9 and the U8 :) Same ending, those two.(last two letters only)
A clue for the p9/72, anyone?
Hm, I thought I had a nice clue, but I can't find anything about that meaning in the def. Probably Dutch (to do with having an artificial limb). One could say it's being in favour of being presented dogmatically; arbitrarily prescribed (T6/24)
It's okay - I got it. done. Anyone need any help before I leave?
time for me to get dressed and do Saturday... good luck, and have a good day folks :D
Done? Wonderful! WTG Cmith :D I still need too much words, can't ask for a specific clue yet.
But thanks for offering! Bye sherb, have a great weekend :)
pr 9/72 means the act of putting a prefix on a word to ease pronouciation
Well, that certainly clears that def up for me, I was a bit lost. Beautiful clue, Cmith :)
Ah, with that kind of misspelling, it is a wonder I ever finish - pronounciation. Night all.
Which is in itself a very interesting word, btw. Night Cmith, sweet dreams to you :)
You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you meet a P6/24.
Very true Sprite.Morning all.
n8/50
Thanks mac! I started feeling a little n8/50 looking for that one!
lol, I know the feeling!
Yuck! What a snarly, nitsy grid! Should never have started. Now I'm caught. I found the p9, but haven't been able to locate the 7 or 8. Any clues?
There are two p 7's. One is a covered roof.
Oh, sorry, that was a po 7 not a pr 7.
It truly is a testy grid. The pr8 is... in favor of + un5/12
Thanks for the roof! Keep thinking that french for chest should be a word, but it isn't. Will now go looking for the other one.
Thanks macuser-didn't have the p or the u.
you're welcome :)
The other is p7 is a serving of food.
Thanks so much you guys. Have them all now. I'm ignoring the k's for now or I'd go insane.
doesn't like Konin the Barbarian
Mornin' all!
morning gramma! Very quiet here right now. Awful puzzle so people seem to have crawled into their caves. Ready for spring today?
Eva, I don't know bout yer side thmountain but it's no hayin day here.
Can't really tell yet as I haven't been out the door, but it's supposed to be 43 here today and snow tomorrow.
If you happen to stumble along the i7 in your travels, would you let me know?
The wind is howling here like an old coyote.
I'm a bit ocd. I just started and I work alphabetically. So it may be a bit.
i7 opposite of out + the last 5 letters of a city in Michigan
Eva i7 a hymn at the start of a church service as choir etc enter.
Thanks 2macs!
Speaking of coyotes...haven't heard them in a while. Do they hole up during the winter?
i need a clue for ac5/16 please
I'm missing an 8. Have ne & pr. What am I missing?
They were out big time the other night. I actually love that awful eerie sound. I like it from far away tho.
I love the sound too, as long as I know exactly where my cat is.
Can't help you Eva. I'm missing it too
Who, ac is just like the 1 above it w/diff. ending
it's a ur8/55
eva.it`s ur8/55
Love the dragon FMitch.
thanks macadam, yours is fun!!. I'm not really here as I am working but I couldn't help popping in for 2 secs. nasty nasty grid today.
It`s not a pleasure this grid.Don`t work too hard ,you`ll need to concentrate on this thing if you want to finish.
still not finding it guys. Is it built from the ur5/12?
Yes, it is Eva
eva yes it does, add the last 3 letters of the ac5
Would do if I had the ac5(-:
Eva It ends with ***key Mouse
YES! Never heard the word before, but I'll take it.
lol, it sounds painful, whatever it is
Can't find a definition for it, but bet it's some variation of renal disease.
83 words left to find and little hope in sight so I think I'll try to get a bit more sleep. Not a likely prospect, but you never know.
Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite.
Hello fellow Babblers
Hi Adsman.
hi guys any clues for ac5/16
Hi adsman, I was out cleaning the kitchen. I really wasn't ignoring you.
didnt think you was Gramma
any help on ac5/16 and ak 5/18
adsman, ac5 has a diff. ending to the 1 above it.
adsman for the ac look at the log at 04.52
ak is a 1 seeded fruit.
the ak sounds like a + another word for "eager" but spelt wrong.
hay gramma - I was in the kitchen too and must head back there, keep coming back to the grid in the hope I will find another word or 2!
Thanks guys still cant see the ac but i will.... thanks Gramma & Mitch
FMitch, I can't seem to stay focused at all this am. I probably had too much sleep.
just found m6/21 which has been bugging me - another word for a falling star and with that back to the kitchen.
Keep on twinkling
LOL
Thanks alot for mentioning it...now I have to twinkle! Be back in a flash
what happened to Mamabear and the awful situation she was in a couple of weeks ago?
Hi there!
Hi everyone :) Hi mum :)
(((((lotti))))
Hi Lotti.Window in , new vac works.Keep the yellow one.
((((Baggo)))) How ya doing hun??? Cheers mum.......hows the baldy man??
fine thanks and how are things with you... hi macadam
Great thanks.......Sis is away again for the weekend!!!! It`s good to see you. Are you still enjoying A&E??
yes absolutely love it...i was on on thursday and saw her she said she would be gone...i need to send her an email on fm...
oh yeah and it's great to see you...school still going well?
Yeah it`s not bad....trying to get my head round metric measures, weights and capacity at the mo!!!!! I`ll get there in the end :)
ugh...my heart goes out to you on that one..
Hi Baggo.Lotti ,baldyman is fine.
LOL.....Thanks for the sympathy :) It`s juggling all the zero`s I find difficult especially when there`s a point in the number aswell!!!
Did you slope off to make a coffee then mum???
well if i could help you i surely would. i'll just send positive vibes your way...i think of everyone on here so much when i'm not on...it's like part of my family missing...
Yes,sorry about that.Freezing still from the hole in the wall, even though that was sorted an hour ago.Sandra is making lunch for the guys.
I know what you mean Baggo.....it`s a strange feeling to miss people that you don`t even know!!!
i know.. my hubby says i need to get back on here..the other prob was i gave my log on to some friends to distract them during a tough time, and they get on and play, so my game is over, and then i come on and don't see people i know so i get off... :-(
Sandra`s a star!!! I thought you`d taken a while to answer, that`s why i asked. You left your needles last night, i`ll bring them at some point. Lewis has returned and he`s got Louis here for the afternoon now!!
Aww Baggo....tell them it`s easy enough to get on as themselves. They don`t need to go pro, they can use your log on to get the stats and go back on as themselves!!! How is that gorgeous hubby of yours btw?? ;)
No rush for the needles.I`ve just ordered new blinds for the new windows and the curtains are washed and ready to put back.I must throw more "stuff" out.I can`t stand all the clutter.
Watch out the pops doesn`t get thrown away in your clear out!!!!!!! LOL :)
lovely and he just said to tell you hello...he just came in to see who was on...this chat is so totally amazing..i'm thinking about talkin with dr_god and seeing if i can change my password or something so they can't be me..at least i know they don't chat
I did that not long ago and you change your password on "My Profile"
i must've missed that, i went a looking and didn't see anything...so i'll be off in a sec to go and change that...seems kinda mean, but it's my game..lol
i guess i was looking for a change password icon...do i just type over my old one???
Have there been any clues for the pr9/72 other than act of putting a prefix on a word to ease pronouciation?
I know where you`re coming from.....it`s like buying the newspaper just for the crossword and someone else filling it in for you!!!!! Grrrrr.....
If i remember rightly...yes!
ok thanks will try that....hiya gwen...no haven't seen any others...i don't have it yet
Back again.I wouldn`t dream of throwing Skops out.
You may need the update babble profile bar first Baggo :)
Hi Gwen.....I don`t have it yet either .
done...
Yay Baggo.......It`s all yours again!!!!!
Gwen Pr9 sounds like the word for replacement parts of a body after amputation.
Well done Baggo.Nice to be you again isn`t it ;-)
thanks macadam, I'll work on it some more
oh yeah...feel like an idiot that i couldn't figure that out on my own...alas....now watch i'll get a phone call..oh well i told them they could play with their own, but they liked the stats. i even told them how to get the stats from brandyjack...they said they did it without stats...but who knows...from where i fell, they must've monkey typed alot...lol
thanks macadam...
pr9, golf pr* + *** cat sat on *** mat + facial twitch
LOL Baggo!!!!! I`ve missed you!!
Hi folks, long time no see, are you all well?
ty i've missed you too...hey hows torgone???
Hi Ferrari.Long time no see.Happy New Year to you.
hiya ferrari
And I e-mailed Dr G to find out how, so i didn`t see the obvious staring me in the face either!!!!
and to you mac, is'nt it a lovely day here
i didn't think that i could l type over that stuff...so see you saved me from doin the email thing... (((xxx)))
Hi Ferrari......Macadam waved at you on Thursday as we drove passed the Sovereign to Denby Dale!!!!!
You are so welcome Baggo ((xx))
hi baggo, haven't seen you for ages, last time was Katrina time I think
AH that madwoman was you was it LOL
Beautiful weather. The trouble is we`ve just had a new widow replaced this morning and I`m still trying to get warm. However the sun is shining through the new window now so all is well.
Good morning again. 60 left to go. Is this or is this not one of the most annoying grids we've had?
i've been back since then, but then i went and took a new job that switched from nights to days and full time and not part time so alas i've been mia..
LOL!!!! I try to hide but it`s difficult when i`m the driver!!!! :)
hi eva...yeah it's a bit of a nasty bugger...
I always wave when we come that way.
glad to see you back we've missed you
Hi Eva....not too friendly is it!!!!
thanks ferrari...i was just tellin lotti, it's amazing how much you miss people that you have never met..
Nooooo. And there's a limit to my willingness to monkey type! I could say that it's worth it because I'll enlarge my vocabulary, but given the state of my memory, that would be a lie.
I'll look out for you both then. It's funny cos when I'm in Asda or something I wonder if I could be walking right past you both
it is stange baggo, haven't seen Anj or Miyavi for ages
you know neuro is a perfectly good word in the medical community
ferrari-is that a dog, a cat, or a small dragon?
LOL Eva!!! Ferrari....i`m the same, but we rarely go to Asda!! We tend to shop at Tesco`s in Brighouse or Batley!!
I`ve wondered the same thing myself. We could have queued next to each other and we`ll never know.
do you mean my icon Eva ?
isaw anj thursday, but have not yet seen miyavi...anyone know how she is???
No idea Baggo....I haven`t seen her for weeks :/
okay just because they took me for ages to find the ne4/6 and the 5 and the 6 all go together off that ne4 odd little word
yes, your icon. The grey blob on mine is a komodo dragon.
dont tend to go to Tesco, don't like Hudds one much
Ooooo but she mentioned a boyfriend last time i saw her around ....... we must have been dumped for him LOL!!!!!!!
eva it's a ratty, sadly now deceased
Lotti I`m going to make another coffee and put some more things in place ,back soon.
Ferrari...we don`t use the Hudds store!
they start young these days, isnt she only 13 ?
ooohhh good for her...that's where all her time is spent now i'm sure..well i hope he's nice to her..or i may have to cross the pond
Yes, but i`d say her mental age is well above average!!! She`ll know how to keep a boyfriend in check!!! :)
See ya later mum :)
she sure will lotti
i agree with that lotti
cya macadam
So sorry, but what's a ratty?
bye sis, can I call your mum sis lotti?
Of course Auntie F :)
Eva, a rat, I call them ratty so people don't go ugh
thankyou niece
Now I can make it out. A very beautifullly coloured rat indeed. I sort of like them, when theyre not big and feral and out in the city streets.
she was a little girl called Wonky, and she was very cute and very different from wild rats
we must have about 18 rats buried in our garden, and several hamsters
When I was growing up I was allergic to everything with fur and featthers (or so the doctors said) so I had horned toads, iguanas, and baby alligators. Have always love pretty much all animals except for spiders. Hey, maybe the them for one day could be phobias and aversions - our own that is.
Best go feed the kids some lunch!!! See ya later everyone :) ((((Baggo))))
sounds different eva, must find either a needle or a precipice for my icon
I share the precipice one!Don't mind being up high as long as I'm not anywhere near an edge.
me too, open staircases one of the worst
((((lotti))))
I used to refuse to do fire drills in elementary school, because it meant walking down the open outdoor fire escape. I figured I'd wait until there were actual flames to see which was worse. How does one go about suggesting themes?
I once froze on a school trip round Yorkshire TV Studios, there was a huge open staircase there, I couldn't move. I don't know how you suggest themes
babbler is the one that does the themes if ya see her on you might tell her...
Then they're those hideous glass elevators in some posh hotels. But at least you can keep your eyes closed.
Have you seen Hitchcock's "Vertigo"?
Does anyone have a complete list of the 7's?I'm still mjissing 6 of them.
Do you remember that outside lift in Towering Inferno? stuff of nightmares
an7,ce7, ch7x2, ci7, in7, ne7, po7x3, pr7x1, th7, tr7.
Oh god, yes! And then they're the omni theaters - can't do them either. Went on an amusement part ride, roller coaster, once when I was a child- Don't know what possessed me except for not having a clue and wanting to be "normal" with my friends. Never, ever again!
Oh, and thanks tremendously for the 7 list.
my kids conned me into going on one of those swing boats, never again, and worse than that a chairlift on the Isle of Wight. I think it all started with a fiendish ride at Bell Vue when I was very small
missed you post about vertigo, I don't know if I've seen it
has everyone else disappeared?
nope i'm here just lookin for words
Hi ferrari just got back from shopping, long time no see!
(((((((((((((Bagg))))))))))))) ))))))) thought I had missed you agin!
Hi ferrari....you are not alone
hiya mitch, that's what we were all saying earlier

red and green should ne'er be seen, blue and yellow's bonny
I`m with you tbear.Class act I think!
I've been following events in the log and on BabAnon Baggo - sounds like the new job is going really well. v happy for you, although it does mean we don't see so much of you.
Afternoon all! This grid's a bit of a dragon, isn't it? :-(

It`s on your bio....i remembered from reading it ages ago!!
she will either give in give up or be on her death bed....and they will not intervene because she can refuse treatment..... I wish I could get a hold of some ativan and drug her into submission.......
i think now we're really in the twilight zone with lotti guessing at names...
ah, I haven't worked out how to read bios yet
ativan is good or haldol (but that's going a bit extreme) its got to be frustrating for you...
I wish i was so gifted!!
ferrari...click on the purse icon

Baggo - Paul keeps seeing 'trout' in the grid.
Ferrari...they do9 if you put them in and agree to show them!! The other way of finding out about Babblers is to go on BabAnon and look at Introducing ourselves :)
Ooops don`t know where that 9 came from!! It must be the mention of Paul Jac!!! Just the 6 missing!!!!
Lol, Lotti.
I've updated my profile
Cheers baggo.Iwrote it down then crossed it out.I find it very easy to be stupid!!!

Would that be me per chance!!!!!! lol ;o)
Nice to have good company .

lol
Hi Eva!!
Afternoon Eva.
good morning
Paul, are you waiting for some February snow to start sculpting????
Pardon Lotti lol
sadly, my BF didnt read my mind...he was totally supposed to sneak into the house while i was sleeping + surprise me by being here + by making me french toast!
If someone snook into my house while i was sleeping they`d be getting a whack with the pan you`d cook it in!!
Same here, Lotti!
heh, he has a key...and hes done it before... of course, ive always been expecting him "at some point"
It would still shock the sh** out of me!!!!
heh, id just roll over + curl up with him
Almost tidy .Time to finish the rest.BFN everyone .It`s been a good day for chatting.
bye sis, see you soon
ps lotti said it was ok to call you sis
My friend had a psycho ex....he used to scaloe her house like spiderman. He`d remove slates from the roof and climb into the house through the loft........She`d wake up to find him sitting at the foot of her bed staring at her!!! Eeew how creepy!!!
See ya later mum :)
that's terrifying lotti
I know....he put her through hell!!! Very strange guy!!
Yes it
Eh????? Yes it what!!!! lol
Nearly dropped the coffee.Yes it`s fine sis.Now I have two.
yipes. im not asking for all that...hehe just a little french toast in the morning. ;)
LOL Eva!!! Hope you get your wish hun :)
and I have 3
good morning to all.
Hi Doxy :)
hi doxy
see you all in a bit
bye for now ferrari
hi everone
hi angelsong
See you later Ferrari :) (Auntie S)
Hi Angel :)
Morning, all. Must fight urge to keep typing "cement" and "minute".
hi judi, I did type cement. Didn't work :/
have to go for now. Will try to be back later today. Have a good day all.
I see the theme today is dragons. Now I'm with the program. Here's a Komodo. A real live dragon.
Hi Judi :) See ya later Doxy :)
morning, all!
Lotti, I was just reading back in the log about your friend's (fortunately) ex BF. What a nut case! Hope she went out and bought a gun after she broke up with him.
Hi Une......you`re looking slightly stunned!!!! lol :)
sleep-deprived! :-)
LOL Judi....she took him to court for attempted murder at one point over something he`d done but it was reduced to ABH !!!
Yoiks! Seems like the crazies always end up with good lawyers/barristers. Hope he's in jail or at least in a rubber room somewhere now.
Une - so that's really a "draggin" not a dragon. *pours coffee in a large cup for Une*
I think he did about 5 years but unfortunately he`s back in the community somewhere with some other poor woman producing kids!!!! Thats the scary part.
judi, LOL!!
Good morning all: Tough puzzle today, not good for a lazy Saturday!!!
Hiya, Speed!
Hi Speed, you`re right there :)
hey, speed . . . yep, it's a bear
I can`t remember when we last had so many O`s !!
Good morning!
Oh, urgh. I just looked to see how many words there are. Makes my 69 pretty paltry. If this was yesterday, I'd be only two short of being done!
Hiya Harp :)
LOL Judi :)
Gotta dash. Hubby's finally awake. Going out for a late breakfast. See y'all later.
See ya Judi......Enjoy :)
this one's hard....
Not nice is it!! I seem to have been at it forever!!!

Brandyjack - good to see you.

speedfreak, check GreyWoulf's bio. His e-mail should be there and then send him a message.
Speed - I think GW's addy is in his profile.
speed, that's a nice idea. I'd wait until you see GW himself and ask him for his email and take it from there. (as it's very personal information). How about that? He should be in on and off till Tues, when his wife returns with their son.
Thanks all I have his email, I will do that!!! Feel like we are all such friends and have been waiting for this baby like one of the family!!
Speed - go back about 6 pages to where GW last posted with a pic of young Sebastian. Then go to his profile.

Hi All - Kung Hei Fat Choi to all.
Kung Hei Fat Choi Dianne! :)
(does that mean Happy New Year?) : )
Yes - that's the greeting of the day - the first day of the Year of the Dog.
Kung Hei Fat Choi. What does that mean? Sorry, guess I am not into it.
that's our th5 tomorrow, Dianne! : ) (check my biog for details)
Dianne: What are the years associated with the year of the dog? I heard the description of those that are born in those years of the dogs, and I fit that description to the tee. What years?
Kung Hei Fat Choi...cool 8)
They repeat every 12 years - last year was my year, the rooster.
Hey ren - I saw a show the other night with Kinky Freedman. How is his campaign going?
Bab anon back? & Anyone need a clue or two (waiting for flip...yes, I know it's hours away!)
hi bunny : ) yes, bab anon came back (when I looked a little while ago).
hey dianne - current polls show that our present governor is leading...i am a kinky fan!!!! he is running on the independent ticket as is the current comptroller of texas. i think most people know kinky for his texas jew boy band and his detective novels...he is very smart....8) he has my vote
hey bunny!!!
Ren - keep me posted - if I could I'd vote for him
Howdy!
jojo - here is a site for the year and element http://www.all-about-f eng-shui.co.uk/info/chinese-ye ar-element-chart.htm
Very strange - my list shows 7 O words but the stats only show that I have 5. I've rentered all 7 words and it says I've already entered them. I've refreshed oodles of times but no change. What's up?
Dunno, refresh always works for that with me...
Jojo - dog years: 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994
Oooh, watched Smallville...grrr...
dianne - i bet you have the two on the upper O, and 5 of the 7 on the lower O, so you have 7 total in your list of words. but there are 9 total O words, so you do need 2 more.
hurshy - thanks - this was making me crazy!
hurshy, I love your dragon. That was the one of my favorite parts of the movie.
hi hurshy! : )
thanks doxy - yeah, i thought they were so cute. :)
hi babbler!
hi hurshy!!!
Babbler: I was born in1945 on November 28th, that is close to 1946, isn't it? I fit right into all the description of the dog year. Is it close, or am I just hoping?
hi ren!
JoJo - you are a rooster if you were born in '45.
Dianne: Ok, what are the traits of a rooster? If you don't have time, I wrote down the website you gave me, so keep on babbling.
Jojo - you're a Wood Rooster, February 13, 1945 - February 1, 1946
Joho - http://chinese.astrology.com/r ooster.html
JoJo - after I track down my 2 missing O's.

born to the manor on beg-a- thon love fiddler!!!
GW - congratulations on the birth of your son. Glad that all is well with you and yours.

Roosters - Deep thinkers, capable & talented. Like to be busy, often a bit eccentric. Always interesting. Compatable with Ox, Snake & Dragons.
remember that the chinese calendar, like the jewish calendar is based on lunar not solar
JoJo -- Believe me, that pic is definitely going in a place of honor!
Dianne: Guess I fit into the Rooster category too. I am a bit eccentric and am always busy. But since I am on the edge of the Dog, I also worry too much, and also kind.
Dianne -- sounds like me, except I am a Monkey
th 6/24 AND 7/40?
hint for the ur8 please?
Hi everyone - and happy day to GW and family!
Hey Griffs -- (*hug*) -- thanks :) You're here early!
ur5+ humpy letter + vowel + third letter
GW - ur5/12 + first 3 letters of Donald Duck's friend.
cyber - th 6/24 - t + he5/14 th7/40 - A radioactive silvery-white metallic element
ur 5 + stones front man - k
No, I'm here very very very late. :) Didn't play last night, went to bed. Didn't play today, should have been working but was out helping place doggies in new homes. Now I'm under the grid pressure cooker!
hi Griffs! We'll help! : )
Welcome to my world, Griff!! ;D
hi grif!!!
Thanks babbler, I may need it. But right now I'm not even done with a first pass (have 29 words only) so will dive in and I"ll be sure to holler in a while when I get stuck!
I'm behind too. How about help with ak 5/18?
hi musicmom - ak + a suffix to make it an unsaturated organic compound
musicmom - A + Barbie's boyfriend + a vowel.
an alt clue for the th7/40 - the norse god of war + first person + what you say when you're thinking...
Got the 7, thanks. The other th 6/24?
Oh I hate rude annoying little 12 year old snots!
Sorry, just needed to vent for a second.
I'm better
ty must have been crosseyed - missed that last vowel!
th6/24 - like your pr9, but drop the pro
I have almost 12 yo snot that lives with me. I feel your pain.
hi caitte. Sorry about the snotty 12 year olds.
Thanks. I was playing an online game and people just have no courtesy animal. They are just downright rude at times. I guess I just believe that if I'm spending a monthly fee to play a game, I shouldn't have to deal with someone who's just ignorant and rude.
hi caitte : )
no courtesy anymore*...i'm so frustrated i can't even type! lol
sounds like a 12 yo troll. Forget her/him and join us here! : )
just think what they are like in real life. Scary thought.
Caitte: Who is your 12 year old snot? ~~ by the way, all 12 year olds are snots.
yep. I'm just happy I don't have to come home to that every night. lol
Cait when they are your's --- you have a little more control over doing something about it.
at least you have us to vent with... : D
Dunno who they were. They were just some exceptionally rude person with no common courtesy. Only a 12 year old would think they can get away with things like that.
Have three left -- help please... pr 7/32 th 6/24 (2nd one) tr 6/18 Thanks
acutally, I've met some adults who are that rude and obnoxious...maybe they were 12 year old in disguise.
lol. probably. Ah well. :)
tr6/18 -- insert an e in the tr5/10
Thank you, GW
cyber - th + et**
th6/24 -- drop the first 3 of the pr9 - or th + e + nervous ***
pr7/32 - a female Tiger Woods?
te6 please?
GW - Dennis the Te**** ??
te6 - 10 + high card ***
Thanks
Hey, found the fish! They've been gone a long time!
Babbler -- the female Tiger went over my head!
cyber - Tiger Woods is a pr*. Add the french suffix that denotes female.
feminine, I mean. :/
Nan - a ballerina's twirl, minus the I and the U
<why am I giving clues? I have no time to give clues!>
lol i just wish i understood the clues. all this letter/then a number stuff....sadly. i don't understand ~blush~ i'm still new to all this
thank you, Griff
You have plenty of time to give clues, Griff! 2 hours is more than enough time to finish -- especially with the clue masters online --- trust me I know what I am talking about ;D
Oh, I've been picking up every word that's been clued - you guys are great!
Last one --- the 2nd th 6/24?
caitte, have a look at Babble Rules (top of your page), but basically, tr4/5 for instance, means a word that begins with tr, there are 4 letters, and the tiles total to a value of 5.
I think I have figured more words out from clues than from seeing them today.
Hey everybody! Griffums, saw your message (2nded by the new Daddy Woulf!) Me too, real life has prevented much of my participation in the Babbleverse in the last few days...
cyber - you either need "from that place", t + he5/14 or you need the second part of your pr9 word. drop the pro.
it's all becoming clearer. lol i'd read the rules but never got the as/1/1 stuff.. :D THANKS!
hey J May I also point out that there are some s-head words in here, and at the moment I don't really mean stupidhead...
Howdy, All. I'm down to one: the 2nd an5. Any help please?
hi JB ! : )
an5 - either an + tree from Lord of the Rings (or abbreviation for ***tertainment) or like the veg that makes you cry, but begin with an a instead.
an 5/10: one letter different from a root vegetable used for seasoning
Cute kitty, JB!
Babbler! cybernan! doxy! Jo Jo! Happy Babblers all!
GW - I missed the baby shower (reference: real life) so this is in honor of the little guy!
Thanks, all. I felt like a total idiot for not seeing that.
Thank you, Babbler Done, folks!!!!!! -- thanks for the help :) Be back in a bit to help.
Okay, need to make a decision - Put away groceries? or Babble?
congrats, cyber!! : ) dc - it's that kind of grid today, don't worry. : )
JB - compromise -- put away the perishables ;)
babble - I hate putting groceries away. Well.... better put anything frozen away.
JB - put it all away..... in 30 seconds... GO! ;)
Try to get 150 more words in 2 hours? or Catch up on much needed sleep after battling the flu?
JB: Put those things that need to be refrig'd tonite and then continue to babble.
The fridge is full! This stuff has to go on the porch tonight. Good thing it's cold in Philadelphia tonight!
JB - this is a very tough grid. It's a beast. We'll help, but how are you feeling, really?
150 in 2 hours with the Babble Support Squad on standby is doable --- but let your body make that decision for you
yeah philly! my hubby's family is from there. :) that's where we want to move to.
Oh, you are all GREAT! I'm sitting here smiling and laughing, and agreeing, yes, the perishables have to go away, because the cats will get into them! I have weird cats...they like cantalope and fresh bread.
My cat just wants the bags it all came in. :) She likes to lick plastic. lol
Bread I've witnessed -- but cantaloupe!?!
Got to click off tonite, BECAUSE, I am going to the Seahawks rally tomorrow and have to leave her by 6:15am to get to Seattle and send our team off to Detroit. Paul Allen, the owner, wants every Seahawk fan to be there, so am anticipating a huge crowd. I am ready to scream and yell and support our team.
but to how I'm feeling - yeah, I can type, but chasing the words through the grid, log, morewords, even with all your help...best wait for tomorrow's grid to tackle it again. (sniffles, cough) (sorry!)
Have a Blast, JoJo!!!
have a great time, Jojo! : )
Go, JoJo, with blessings from all Super Bowl fans, no matter which team we're rooting for (go Steelers)!
have a good time jojo.
JB -- don't apologise -- health comes first --- Babble will always be here tomorrow
gooodnight JoJo. :)
JB, get better soon.
no worries, JB, you rest up and get better. Maybe tomorrow's grid will be kinder?! : ) xxx
you too JB. get some rest. ya sound awful ;)
caiite, I really do love living in Phila, the city's been good to us. My cats like bags, but just to get into them. I can't leave any open paper bags (or cardboard boxes for that matter) without one of them making it their place for a while
All: Thx a lot. However, what is this "Go Steeler's" ??? Go Seahawks, right?
go steelers go!
(cough, cough, hack, wheeze, giggle, choke) You guys are making me laugh so hard I'm choking and tearing up! Thanks, I'll take your advice, and go to bed (after groceries...)
lol I still have a cardboard box from christmas that i can't throw away. If I move it at all, even to vacuum, Pounce gets all pissy with me. She starts meowing and looking around like she lost her best friend. :)
JB -- my cats are the same way -- I will leave boxes or bags around intentionally just to watch the gymnastics they will go through to fit!
JoJo, I know it's hard for you to understand (wink, wink), but the Seahawks actually have to PLAY another team to be in the SuperBowl!
Nanny boo boo, Caitte used a word in the grid... *griff hurriedly makes sure 'steeler' isn't in here' or nanny oh hell just get back to it
crap i did?? what was it?? lol
Me & Griffums ( & maybe GreyWoulf) Go STEELERS! Representing Pennsylvania!
hey, have we had a My Pets th5? Maybe for those of us who don't have pets, we could post a pic of our ideal pet? What do you say? all in favour say aye! :)
Representing THE FREE WORLD! :)))
Go Steelers!
AYE!
aye
Your kitty's name, Caitte!
AYE!! to babbler suggestion
...still coughing...
JB: You are listening to the east coast. Seahawks have no respect on the east coast. The Seahawks have beat the Redskins and the Panthers, which "were" real teams". We are in, and we are going to win.
So now I am to... conflicted (almost used a word)--- do I watch Fawlty Towers or The Magnificent Seven?
Wolfie: You too are for the Steeler's? I am hurt.
aye to pets wolfie - watching a buster keaton movie - free and easy
lol, caiite, your kitty picture looks like it's saying "crap, I did what?" "and you found out?" LOL uh oh, gotta get some water! (hack)
oh and... AYE!
East coast? I think not!
Fawlty Towers, of course!!! : )
oh my goodness!! you're right! bad Cailte bad! ::blush::
magnificent 7!!!
oh, BASIL!
PA loyalty overrides, JoJo -- nothing personal :)
thanks! My Pet / Ideal Pet is in the (hand)bag. : )
lol, babbs!
True, so true, JoJo - blood or geography will tell!
jojo, I was rooting for the Seahawks to get there. I guess I will keep on "Go Seahawks"
wolfie - mez said faulty towers.... as the clash sing...magnificent 7's
JB..she frequently has that look upon her face. lol
doxy, I understand and support your right to make that decision... but maybe you'd like to reconsider? (nudges politely)
Oh, OK, Are any of the PA babbler's going to a rally for the Steeler's tomorrow? If not, where is the fan in you? Don't goof around with my Seahawks!! Love you all, but my Seahawks are tops.
Well, Fawlty Towers it is then -- I own Mag 7 anyway... and have it mostly memorised to boot! It is one of my favorite westerns/Yul Brynner flicks of all time :)
sorry, closer to west coast. "Go Seahawks"
I'd go with FT, GW, because the music from the Mag7 would run through my head all night!
we have all of fawlty towers...
I'm a native Texan tho I'm now on the eastcoast... I have no allegiance to any particular time..cept the Eagles which my hubby loves. :)
Doxy: Love you!! **KISS & HUGS**
Okay, doxy! Ready, Steelers fans? The W A V E starts here!
any particular team* WHAT is wrong with my ability to type? maybe I should close the window...think it flew out?
I love Magnificent 7 too. One of the best! But anytime Fawlty Towers is on...... lol! : )
*wave skips 4000 miles to get to griff*
I wish the Eagles did better this year too!
cailte -- my household is Eagles all the way, but since they washed out this year we have passed our support onto the Steelers
*wave skips to London, England*
EAGLES? Ptui! Hack!
JB: Surprised you are using the WAVE thing tonite. That initiated in Seattle. We are the WAVE champs!
um...gee..can I guess you're not a fan? LOL
(In my book, being a Steelers fan is the prize you get for being a Pirates fan!)
Super Bowl? What's that? I say it's baseball season! Go Red Sox!!!! BTW -- Greetings All!!!
I will also repeat what I have said before ---- I personally do not know enough about football to make an informed decision about any of the teams -- I let Kirsten be the fan for both of us ;)
hi minski
it's the new york yankees....YES!!!!
Too right, GW. Because football is all about being informed. :)
Min: I will be ready for baseball season as soon as football is over. Who in baseball will you be routing for?
pr8/50 and po7/40 please?
GW: I thought that Kirsten was FOR the Seahawks and now I find out you are routing for the Steelers. Am I correct?
Sadly, I must call it a night. I have friends coming tomorrow and I'd rather clean tonight then wake up really early to do it. lol Y'all have a good night :) See ya later!
pr 8 - in support of the AFL-CIO
night caitte
Ho Hum. If the Patriots aren't in the Super Bowl I don't bother to watch. And the Pats blew it big time this year so it's baseball season for me. GO RED SOX!! BOO YANKEES!!!
later caiit!!!
JoJo - you are correct -- I explained that to you the other day -- she feels that the Hawks have a good chance but it will be a hard fought battle and She will root for the PA team anyway
hahahaha minski...we've got jonny damon now!!!! 8)
She WAS for the Hawks last week --- but that was not against the Steelers :)
I know. He sold his soul to the dark side for a few extra bucks. We should have expected it. He does call himself an idiot after all. 8)
pr 8 = pr + 4th vowel + un 5/12 (not the tinkle stuff)
hahahaha - we are the yankees!!!!
hiya, may I have a clue for the po 6/21, please?
Minski: I lived back in Boston for a year while my husband was in the service during Vietnam era, it is a great city. I have always routed for the Red Sox, loved it when they went to the world series two years ago. Now, they got our Coca Crisp, he was a Mariner you know, the M's were the one that brought him up from triple A. Then,of course, as always, the M's messed up and traded him. You have a great player in Coca Crisp. He will do well for Boston.
add a vowel to the po5/12
Still too many words to go but they're all 4's and 5's now - I think I can I think I can I think I can
po 7 wolfie you may want to google A vase or jar with a round or polygonal body tapering at the neck and having a removable cover
Go Griffums! Go Griffums! Go Griffums! (I do so love copy and paste!)
grif - we know you can, we know you can!!!
thank you, ren
Ren: I have great respect for Johnny Damon, with his hair for women with breast cancer and all. But, he is getting up there in years, the Yanks haven't done the World Series in a number of years, and I frankly don't think that Damon will make it all better. Yes, he is good, but it takes more than just one person to make a team.
y/w
Go Griff Go! Go Griff Go!! Go Griff Go!!! Yayyyyy!!!
po7: what you cook in + first person singular + Mr. Guevera
Well, I've stopped coughing, missed saying nite to caiite, put some things away, kissed hubby goodnight. Now I have to feed the cats and go to bed myself, so I can tacke (yes, back to football terminology!) tomorrow's grid. and chores. and books. and laundry!
jojo- i've been a yankees fan since birth...i love the yankees..8)
doin' the W A V E for Griffies!
later jb - see you tomorrow....8)
WAVING it back to you baby!
anyone have the TR 6/18?
Sleep Well, JB (*hug*)
Nite, ren! Nite, everybody {{{Hugs all around}}} W A V I N G off!
nite JB
Ren: Then you should remain a Yankees fan. Remember tho, that the M's had Alex FIRST. Yes, they screwed up, ~~maybe. Time will tell.
JoJo ~ He's a great player. I've watched him. I just can't help but giggle every time I hear his name. I hope it's a nick name. What mother could be that cruel?
tr 6/18: prefix meaning 3 + vowel + consonant + vowel
A ROD, A ROD!!!! yanks jojo!!!! (really , thanks)
or6?
tr 6/18: drop a vowel into the tr 5/10
or 6 - the far east
*smack*
or 6 = far east, asia
Min: I don't think that any mother, back in "those days" would even realize that the name A-Rod would be a name to smile about.
THanks cybernan
no I meant Coco Crisp
ch 7/36? either one?
I am signing off for tonite. Seahawks rally, and I am tired. **kisses and hugs** everyone.
ch7 - one is like the chemical put in swimming pools, minus the L
night jojo
1st ch 7 = like the chemical in swimming pools - L
Night, JoJo (*hug*)
nite jojo - sleep well
nite Jojo :) 2nd ch - ch + the constellation the grid won't accept
Min: What is wrong with Coco Crisp, except that it sounds like a cereal. Whoops, maybe, I shouldn't ask.
thanx, GW I had to go back to look for it...
Hello :)
thanks ren and babbler!
((((( Zubie!! )))) :)
Hi Babbler :) Hey ren, GW, everyone!
Hi zubie!! (*Hug*)
maybe I'm juvenile, but the name just makes me giggle. and what's wrong with being juvenile? nothing!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Ignore me.....I think I'm cracking up....too much caffeine and not enough sleep.
hey hey zubie!!!!! it's ok minski!!!! hahahaha...i'm a little silly as well....a little???? hahahahahaha
How many words in this? GW - any news? I haven't been here much.
Minski -- I be growing older, but I absolutely REFUSE to grow up!!!
169 words zubie
Zubie, 169. Only 169. (but it's a beast of a grid :/ )
Min: He is an excellent player, I said that two years ago when he came up from triple A. He will make Boston proud. Our mgmt for the M's is awful, Coca Crisp should have never been traded. You treat him well, OK. You will love him by the end of next year, guaranteed!
Yes, zubie! GW has great news! The Steelers are going to the Superbowl! (hee hee hee!)
Hooray GW! (re: not grow up! My sentiments exactly! :D)
the yankee's will get him - ya better watch out!!!hahahahahahahaha
zubie -- I actually posted in Bab Anon all the details -- he is healthy, Mom is doing well and Kristianna loves him -- 7 pounds 8 oz., 21" long
Lol harpjane. :P And who are the Steelers? :P
ROFL harp!
Have you decided on a name GW?
Zub: Love you. Who are the Steelers??? HAHAHAHA!!
Sebastian Evan
Congratulations, GW. :) I haven't been to bab anon since before the vacation. Oops. I'd better check in there soon. But congratulations again. :) *hugs*
great name, GW :)
zubie -- my icon is Kristianna holding her borother -- tough to make out, but still adorable
Glad I made you laugh, JoJo. But I really DON'T know who the Steelers are! :o
minski -looks like the laughter is spreading!hahahahahahaha
finally, all finished.
congrats, doxy!! : )
Steelers are an American football team from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, zubie :)
yaaaaaaaaaaaay DOXY!
way to go doxy!!!! how's your cuddly grand daughter??
thanks everyone for all the helpful clues.
Anyone want a clue before I go off to prepare a Chinese New Year icon?
grandbaby is doing great. gained almost 1 pound and 2 inches in 2 weeks.
Not too tough to make out the icon, GW. They look lovely, both of them. :) Ah! Football! I should have known! :)
cybernan - how about all the 129 words I'm missing? ;D
The Steelers are the team that is going to play the Seahawks in the SuperBowl. I am in the Seattle area, where the Seahawks are the home team, and when you said you didn't know who the Steelers were I had to laugh, because it seems like everyone on Babble is from or near the east coast and all routing for the the Pittsburg Steelers. So you really made my day.
that's great doxy..ioved it when you posted she was a cuddler...8)
I'm headed to bed, have to work tomorrow... :/ Everyone have a good night. See you tomorrow night.
nite doxy, sleep well : )
nite doxy - see you tomorrow
I see, JoJo. :D Glad I made your day. I'm not very near Seattle. [Slight understatement ;D]
Finally, Done! If the first puzzle had been this hard, I never would have gotten addicted! (I can quit any time....)
G'night doxy! Great to hear about your granddaughter :) (*Hug*)
Good night, Doxy...... See those who are still here at the flip :)
Where are you located, zubie?
congrats, harp! : )

Zub: Where are you located?
yaaaaaaaaaaaaay HARP!
OK, I think sleep dep has finally fogged my brain -- can not find any of the n's longer than 4 letters :(
JoJo. Not TOO far. ;D Just somewhere in the Middle East! [Big Grin]
ne 5 = ne 4/6 + 2n d vowel
GW - you think THAT'S bad? I can find ANY n's! Or p's or a's or t's , for that matter. :D
Zub: Middle east of the US ~~ or ~~ middle east??
ne 6 = ne 4/6 +3rd vowel & 3rd letter in the alphabet
Awww...GW he is so cute... what I can see of him
Lol JoJo. Hehe. :D [can't help grinning] Middle East as in near Iraq and stuff. :)
Thanks Blaze :)
Hi Blaze. :)
Argh! I have all but one to4/4... and I've typed in everything possible. Obviously not, because I still don't have it. Please help. I have three to4/4 (ending in I, N, and T) and the to4/5. I'll send you a cooky if you give me a clue.

You DID tell me so! You DID you DID! Thanks everybody for the help!
In an incredible display of restraint, I have left untouched downstairs the bottle of cab and a large LARGE slice of dark chocolate mountain cake, because I needed to keep my hands free for typing. I am about to change all that. See you at the flip -

anyone still playing? need clues?
I had no intention of coming back on either, but the second movie I watched was Pulp Fiction.... can't go to bed for a while or will have really nasty dreams!
I'm still playing but I don't htink you have time to give me 49 clues<g>
All are well --- Kristianna thinks that having a brother is "really cool"
