f6/30. For such a small puzzle, so many of the words are uncommon. The a6/21 is a type of poplar, especially a cottonwood. Sounds wooly to me, and I always thought it was just a bunch of hillbillies giving 20,000 Mexicans the finger. Not an especially bright thing to do....

No-flannel it is, and I've never understood why one can't remain nightgowned all day. Much more modest than much of what passes for appropriate dress. Did once, when I was in my 2-'s and living in Chicago, go out to get cigarettes( stopped 25 years ago), with a trench coat over my nightgown, figuring I'd only be out for 5 minutes, but a dog jumped ap and bit my hand through the open car window and I ended up having to deal with police, etc in my nightgown.

We all left Wisconsin 1 night headed for Florida in a cargo van. We cut of our pants..threw our shoes away. Brilliant, huh? We were going to the beach. We didn't need those winter clothes. Well, as you can imagine, we all came to our senses somewhere in Kentucky. We called in sick to work and started desperately pooling our pennies to buy what we could to return to our happy world. But, alas, we were in a dry county and we knew no one to help us out. So, we detoured to So. Illinois...Bad movery there too. Well ,to make a long story short, it was a long cold sobering ride back ;)
Back for a second as I'm scrambling madly to get out the door -- gramma, I suspect our grankids (and kids) might be shocked to hear the adventures many of us had.. and the narrow escapes :) Have fun all!

i was working on this MONSTER of a report -- 720 pages!! basically, i have to look up each cross-referenced report that this one mentions, and include the report number, date, and another number for each entry. well, this 720-page report had a TON of them. i spent about 2 hours working on this, and i had probably a good 100 or so entries when i decided it might be a good idea to save my work before i continued... when i hit save, it all disappeared. ALL OF IT!! turns out the system has a maximum capaticy for what it can hold and i exceeded it. 2 hours of work for NOTHING!
I don't want to think about that! I spent the night with my husbands sister when I was younger...uhmmm, really have to watch that ploy!

The other day he refused to do his writing (again) Teacher told him that she was going to have to let me know - to which he replied "Do you know what you are doing to my life?" Teacher said she could barely contain her laughter.

One of my daughter's funny stories from when she was about four was when she was playing with the neighbor's new kitty. We called her in to dinner. About twenty minutes later we hear this pitiful meowing. I went out to the garage and there in the freezer was the kitty. She was saving it for later so she could pet it some more. Fortunately the kitty was okay.

bunny - I'm the youngest of 5 girls...the last to get married...when my father walked into the reception he stated "Free at last! Free at last..." My mother tried to shush him, but the guests laughed hysterically!!
We had only 1 to pay for - had one of each kind & stopped! But I did have only 7weeks notice of my daughters and she did decide to get married 4 days after her Graduation from university and 1 week after my annual holiday - I was lying on the beach planning wedding speeches etc! A very fraught time

The twins are three. I used to hear stories about a connection that twins shared, thought it was horse hockey, til I had these girls. I swear they mentally plot against me. When they were babies, if they were in separate rooms, they would both get the hiccups at the same time or pop their eyes open at the same time without crying...weird!
Oh I wish my two teenage girls were 3and 4 again...I would do things so differentely....

I've got a friend with twins, a boy and girl. Some of the things they got up to as toddlers were hilarious. She woke up one night to the sound of breaking glass. Her twins were in the living room throwing her china plates at the wall and laughing uproariously.

LOl bunny - ours are identical but not mirror image twins. They are fascinating tho'. T'bear - dont we all think of things we would do differently? I think all we can do with our kids is love em and teach them sound values. they shoould know right from wrong. What they do with their lives after is really their choice. I think most kids revert to the way they were brought up in the end - even if they run off the tracks in the middle. This happened to a neighbour of mine -she really disaired but now hrer daughter is happily married with a child and being really normal!
Does your therapist have kids? Or maybe she/he needs therapy themselves. Send your boy home with her/him for a week, they'll change their tune. i'll even kick in my 10 yr. old!

The other day she got a glimpse of him having an "attitude" - glad she finally witnessed it. That same day my son was upset that I printed an e-mail I received from his teacher to show to the therapist. He looks at me and says "do you have to tell the therapist EVERYTHING?" Uh - yes!

I think what the therapist has in mind, is if you remove yourself from the discussion, you are removing his audience and reason for acting up. Nothing frustrates a kid more than being ignored. I'm alway telling my bickering kids to just ignore the other, and they'll have the upper hand because the other kid isn't getting the reaction they desire.

Interesting perspective on time and age-you were born too late to know about glam rock and I was born too early. I'm sure there are people my age who were into it, but it wasn't the music of my youth-that was really the Beatles, the Stones, Dylan and then Motown.

well, they just played so much new stuff...which i guess is to be expected, but still... and a lot of the older stuff they played either werent their big hits or else they changed the setup so they kinda took the *oomph* out of it... they did play a few really good ones in there though, and luckily the encores were great, so they ended on a high note

I found it fun to see how the older siblings embraced the arrival of a new baby. When my third was born, my husband took the other 2 to the toy store to pick out gifts to bring to their new sister in the hospital. My daughter bought her a rattle, my son brought her a rubber snake. The hospital wouldn't allow it in the incubator with her though, for some reason! LoL

pbr - you need to join the ranks of pro in order to post an icon, flag, bio, etc. It is only a one time charge of $9.95 and well worth it as you have access to the stats panel, which is helpful in grid completion.
Once you are pro, you can upload images from your PC or from sites on the net to use as icons -- you also get to fill in your bio so you can get a handbag and flag next to your name

jeff-there are two ca 5/14 words, one is a piece of jewelry (or a short appearance in a movie, ala Hitchcock), the other is the plural of the word before it. (Turns out the word before it is a noun although we usually think of it a a verb.)
