hi all
Morning Woulf & Sebastian... Your showing him the grids already... He'll be an ace...lol
Billie..... think spooky!
Debs -- have you seen the pics available through BabAnon? I had him in front of the computer the day he came home from the hospital! ;D
how many words have u all got so far
No.... Aww I'll go have a look now..
65 so far, billie
What heading are the pics under Woulf?
where do u get all ur words from i found 26 and i cnt find no more
in Meet & Greet -- topic is Thank You for all your Love and Support -- Why not just Pics of Sebastian you may ask.... I posted while under the stress of bringing him home, so I wasn't thinking clearly :D
just keep at it, billie and watch for our clues ( don't usually give many this early on though)
Hi GW and Sebastian! Hi everybody!
Hi spatial!
How's your wife and daughter doing, GW?
Awwwwwwwwww Woulf he's sooooooo gorgeous ((((((((((hug))))))))) <<thats for Sebastian.... ((((hug))) that ones for you...lol
GW, your daughter is going to break some hearts I think, she's just gorgeous.
spatial -- he is great, trying to fall asleep on my chest as we chat :) Mom is healing, but not 100% yet Debs -- will pass it on when he is more awake, thanks :)
Rest mom rest! As much as you can with two little ones...
spatial -- Kristianna is living every minute of being a big sister -- she is also turning into a wonderful little helper --- she tends to insert herself into whatever task I am doing without even being asked :)
Oh cuuuuuute! Good girl, helpin' mom and dad.
Wonderful photos, GreyWoulf. I am especially charmed by the one of Kristianna and her baby brother. I'm only awake and playing so early because I got a phone call an hour ago from my youngest son to let me know he and his wife were on their way to the hospital for the birth of their first baby.
Wow Munner!
And as far as Kristianna breaking hearts -- Just when I thought she was as adorable as she could possibly get, I saw her with her brother and her cuteness factor jumped by at least two orders of magnitude!
t8/50
Congratulations, Munner!!!!!
fr 8/70
Congrat Munner... Auntie Munner to be :)
Haha cute GW! Double the cuteness. Cuteness squared.
This is my eighth grandchild, but the anticipation never lessens.
Oh sorry Munner... should of been Nanny Munner.. I have two Grandsons they are lovely... have them for a week then give em back... heaven...lol
The concept of new life entering the world should never lose its thrill, Munner -- it is our primary purpose for existing after all ;D
Anyone thinking of haveing a child should look after my daughter for a month... Better than any form of contraception going!
congrats munner
L 7/40 x 2
Debs, my daughter says the same thing. She has two boys, 8 and 5, and a little girl 2. Her babies are the kind who don't sleep until they're about ready to go to school!
I just thought of a joke: what do you call a well-turned out, very slender person?
I give.
Have you ever seen the film The Omen? ... I call my daughter Damian reincarnated.. She's nearly 16 going on 45!
A cow Angel.....?
a well-turned out, very slender person is "ele-gaunt".
d'oh!
got the f8 all by myself. woohoo
a7/28
OOF!!
what, GW?
my response to the punchline :D
50 words... time to go to bed... long drive tomorrow to visit my friend, 'nite , all (((hugs))) to all. ciao for now..

Hi Jera
Hi Jera!
A rather small puzzle, should I be fr8/70-ed??
thank you jera!

Time to go to bed -- Sebastian is asleep and I need to rest as well -- see you tomorrow! (*Hugs to all*)
IGH seems to rule the day... some lovely runs...

nite GW and bee bee boy
Blessed dreams, GreyWoulf, faery kisses to the wee one!
Get that rest when you can GreyWoulf. Have a lovely day with your beautiful family.
spatial, I'm stuck at only 51. Guess my mind is wandering...
Yeah Munner you have something else on your mind! Plus you are tired.
(eating a Reese's chocolate dipped cookie for inspiration)
ooh yum
too bad seahawks lost, huh. it was like watching the sooners this past season
64 words....have to find the others later... Take care, be happy & smile...Lifes too short..Sweet dreams to those about to sleep..Have a great day to those just getting up.. Cya later :)
I know zero about football, but I know some friends were pretty excited about Seattle going to the SB.
Bye Debs
yeah, we are on the west coast. huge deal here. big seattle fans.
Me too Nava, I'm in California. Did I ask you were you are before? I forget.
I totally forgot about the Super Bowl... I was going to tape it & watch the commercials, LOL
bye Deb!!
Oops Jera
nite, Debs
no, you haven't. we're in washington. the news is saying stuff like, " coping with the loss." people went all out here
awwww
there were some pretty funny commercials
we had a superbowl party. i made chili and fixin's and people brought other goodies
was the game exciting at least?
I'm sure they'll reshow them all about 50 times this week... still, a fun tradition for a non-football fan...
20 words left for tomorrow -- good night, everyone :)
sleep well cybernan x
Well, that's it for me, folks... happy Babbling!
Is anyone else still out there? I'm stuck on the last 2 words.
I'm here Munner. 4 t's to go.
I have all the t's if you need help
broll... do you have a clue for the re7/40 please! I have been typing and typing...
3 to go. What do you need?
I need hints on the te 6 and the at 7/28 please.
mrprez, re 7/40, if your candle goes out you have to
te + re4/4
Mrp - if your fire goes out, you re***** it
duh!! Thank you!
tx for the te 6--don't know how I missed monkey typing that one.
at7 - a workshop or studio past tense of eat + untruthful person
Three hours now since my son called telling me he was driving his wife to the hospital to deliver their first baby...what do I do when I finish this puzzle?
Hint for the ta8/50, please?
Thanks, broll.
yw
ta 8/50, if you don't use conditioner on your hair, it will get even ta ------
take your ta7 and shove an 'i' in before the er
mrprez, that sounds so harsh a thing to do to the ta7
... I nearly smashed the keyboard when I found that was the ta8! ;)
thx. That's me done. Any other hints needed before I go?
... crappy, crap, crapper, crappo of a word!... no good to anyone!
yep
thanks broll... working my way backward through the grid tonight... up to the L's and ploughing along!
danger! 2 stupidhead L words.
ok... I must not have those two stupid head words... li 6/14 li7/40 (not the fire one)
don't tell me.... I said a word!! (slapping myself with a fish)
The 7/40 is same beginning, different ending.
thanks broll... didn't see that... the 5/14 is still out of sight
li 5/14 rhymes with a striped cat
oh... that cat!! Thx again!
There are some stupidhead c words also. 2 of them are non-paper money with extra letter(s) thrown in. Another you can figure out by the point total.
thanks for that!
ok, one more hint before I go?
broll... I am off too... 41 left and second season of desperate housewives is about to start... see you later!
adios, all.
Hi all! any clue for the cr7/44 please!
hi mrp :) cr7 ... game played with a mallet
thx trish!
welcome, mrp.
Good morning everyone. Up early because have a cold and couldn't breath. And the cat keeps wanting to sit on my chest. My neighbor had turducken at his party last night. Bizarre concept, and looked a bit like road kill (big , flat, boneless bird).
I FINISHED.... all done!! It feels good!!
well done, mrp :) hi eva!
any one got a hint for tr 7/28 - similiar to tr 5/10 maybe?
oh - sorry Mr P - well done! I just start when you finish ! perfect timing - Help please - I'll do anything - like kiss your feet!
hi trish!
Good morning all. Lickety - tr7 is someone who tr5/10s.
lickety... you're right, it's the person who gives the tr5
hey Jacula :)
Hi Jac!!!!
Doob (smacking my forehead now)
Well done MrPres. I started the grid about 15 mins ago - got 43 words so far.
Why can't a baby fig be a 'figlet'?:-)
lol, jac ... cute word!
go Jac... not too bad... 2 of the c's are a drag, a few l's and one particular ta8 is a useless word!! but otherwise... ok!
Jacula - stop it - your really making me look bad now ;-)
anyone have a clue for the first a, the an5/10?
*Grins* 48 words and counting...
eva ... an5/10... an + second vowel + french for 'the'
Thanks trish!
Eva - the an5/10 sounds like a male and a female Christian name put together, like Ms. Diamond (UK presenter) and Mr. Diamond (US singer) had got together.
hey everyone... looks like lickety NEEDS a whole lot of (loving) help!
co6/30 anyone? (pleading the feebleness induced by mouth breathing and runny brain)
I feel like my alphabetic is soup
can I buy a vowel?
co6 - a game you play with balls on grass (through metal hoops)
I'm a lover not a fi7/52.:-)
MrP - that's the cr7/44. The co6/30 is more flirty.
... sorry.... remove the r from co7!
.... rrrrrrr......!!
wow-that was confusing! But I'm very proud of having navigated the stream and gotten the co6. Thanks everyone!
probably too late to be useful... but just in case... cr7 - game played with a mallet co6 - take out the 'r' for someone who flirts ro6 - take the 'c' off the cr7, for a move in the game ro5 - remove the last letter, for a variation of the game
(I now have a vision of Eva white-water rafting with 'r's' popping up out of the turbulent waters.) :-)
Trish - Thanks. I didn't have that ro6.
welcome, jac
The rapids are in my brain this morning-sounds of rushing water, rocks quickly approaching, cats waiting for breakfast. Now the el's are driving me batty! Any help there? Feeling very dependent and qhiny this morning-feel free to swat me down.
That was whiny, not qhiny.
eva - waterfall effect?
el5/18 - a poem or song in tribute to a dead person.
Nasal waterfall-sorry for the disgusting imagery.
el 4.. el + informal hello el5.. a poem (start from the bottom 'e')
God, kept looking for that tribute and just didn't go round the right way. thanks!
ack, one re6 left to find... can I get a clue? I have ... re6/24.. molding (sounds like a petty king) re6/18.. to forgive, or give in re6/18.. to go in again
do you have both reg*** ?
I do now, mrp ... thanks bundles :) :)
re + g + another word for lease
tw!
thanks, mrp... the extra letter was all it took ... I checked my g4s for something that could be re'd :) That's me all done... have a spiffy monday, everyone :)
trishtrash gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
Hee! my first fireworks :D
WELL DONE, TRISH.
anyone got a clue for 7/28 ?
AT7/28?
sorry yes, at
at7 reverse dictionary this: A workshop or studio, especially for an artist or designer
I just collapsed with 108 words of which I knew 5 - Mr P helped me with the rest
...well... that's just embarassing!!
Well done, Lickety! That makes you 7 words ahead of me.
lickety gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
thanks everyone - tonight for me was like eating a lemon whilst riding a rollercoaster. Really enjoyed it.
LICKETY - am I the lemon or the rollercoaster??
Mr P - Imagine ....... ehehheheh - No - you are a brilliant teacher and a patient mentor
6 words left to find here. Think I'll save them for later. I 'm off to muck out hutches now.:-(
Hi to everyone I have now finished see you tomorrow
congrats, rosalind!
good mornin babblers!!
good morning eva!
mornin', Eva!
very nice tophat, une. ;)
Good morning all -- is the theme today kitties or full evening dress? I'm ready either way :)
according to babblers profile, its evening dress. :)
50 words left to go...gonna go get some work done now. :)
Hi all :)
Hey everybody. How's the puzzle this morning?
Just started, but I like it so far.
im stuck on 23 words cant see no more
Michaela, for me it sometimes helps to give the grid a rest, go do something else and then to come back. I usually see a lot of new words then. Good luck hunting :)
got down to 32 words without BJ's list - but when I reconciled with my words I realised there must be some real stinkers in there somewhere!!!
I am not even halfway, lol. Just found 39 so far, but it is still going fairly easy.
Does anyone know what 8 I'm missing? I've got fr8.
it's a ta8 and builds from a ta 6 and a ta 7!
Sorry, only have the same one as you so far.
I was just about to ask for help with my last word, (the CR7), when I scrolled back and saw your clue trishtrash. Thanks a million, I had spent more time than I needed to on that one. I wasn't going to play today, but as it was a small one......
Thanks FMitch, I had the 6 and 7, never saw the 8 :)
Hi Sprite - how unusual to see you online this time of day!!!!
Me too, FMitch... Thanks!
:) It is, isn't it? I wasn't home this morning, I delivered a festive breakfast to a friend who is having her birthday today. She lives on the other side of our country, so I went yesterday evening, stayed with her sister and surprised her this morning. Just came home.
Any one try to go off on a tangent?
That sounds really sweet, sprite. Was she pleasantly surprised?
Oh my! for the first time ever I have finished the grid before you Sprite!!!!! Sounds like yr friend would have had a great greeting. BTW have many happy memories of NL, visted loads of times business and hols.
Congrats, FMitch!!!
There are some really interesting related words today to do with the cr7 game
any hints on the 8 that doesnt mean to scare?
I've gone back to being my original icon, the sunset. "refresh"
evaN, if your hair has more knots in it than someone else's, then it is ta...
evan I just gave a clue a couple of mins ago!!!! see 8.51
thanks guys -- i cant see for looking...heh... so very monday!
It is definitely a Monday. My son (13) brought home "Baby Think It Over" from school this weekend. My youngest is eight so it's been a while since I had to be kept up by a crying baby. This one wasn't like any baby I ever raised, either.
"Baby think it over" is that like a real pretend baby?
Oh yes, she was very happy with my visit and the breakfast :D Felt great to do this for her. She's had a tough year and friends really do help. LOL @ FMitch... congrats!
Sprite am so glad. I would love to have a friend like you in the same country - you are someone very special, but I think we all know that already.
Yes. She even came with her own little car seat. She cries when she needs a diaper change, a bottle, or to be burped. She also cries if you don't support her head well enough, she is handled roughly, or she just wants to be left alone. It is up to the poor 12/13 yr. old to determine which. It is up to the poor parent (the real one, that is) to wake up the poor 12/13 yr. old so he/she can make that determination and proceed accordingly. I hate faux baby.
Give me a real baby any day.
We would have fun together, FMitch! I would like that too :)
I've been lurking, and now I'm finished!
Hahahaha... sure, lurking helps, less distraction from the hunt! Well done and congrats :)
Well, WTG Angel!!!!
so, ive managed to find myself mostly *clueless* as to what to get the MF vor VDay
smithchick ... better a faux baby than the real thing ??
I second that, Darleen! Better even: none of the above. I like my kids better every year :)
Well, with a real baby, you actually get some feedback, and there is the payoff of actual affection, cooing, smiling, etc. This faux baby had a very wimpy neck, too. If my real babies had necks like that they would never have survived siblings or daddy.
well, smithchick the faux baby isn't there to make you WANT one, is it? ;-)
Nope, it's more like a scarecrow :)
That is true, darlene and it definitely served its purpose with my son. I'm just really glad the weekend is over.
LOL, well there ya go! Best birth control on the planet.
I do think it is an interesting project. Don't know if that's been done in Holland yet.
Greetings.
When my son was about 1, we took a 3 hour plane ride (just the 2 of us) and there was a high school group on board... son got very cranky toward the end... now THAT was a good birth control lesson for them!
Hi harpjane :)
LMAO Jen! I can see that picture very clearly :) :)
I want to make that Cr7 into a 9, but it is not valid. Does it need a double consonant there? Probably :(
Woooaaah! I only have 3 words after ten minutes. Is this a hard one, or do I just need more coffee.
It is a good project. It was also good for a few laughs. My son was not a natural (his 11 yr. old sister is).
there is a "child doll" that really reacts like the real thing. and there are computer chips etc inside so it records everything. Has been used to quite an effect here in UK for teenage pregnancy or thoughts of!!!!
Probably both, harpjane ;) I can imagine how well this project works. If our school isn't doing it yet, I might propose it to them... or get my kids such a doll and MAKE it a project. In a few years.
How old? That's what this was. It records how long the baby cries and what the "parent" does to console it, how long it took to respond, if the response was correct, etc.
smith - it's a new born in the main as that really proves the point.
why not retangle - it happens every time I water the lawn!
Yep, same thing. There are sleepless parents and 7th graders all over my town this weekend.:)
Can someone help me on the ge6? Just not seeing it.
GE + pay money monthly for something
Thanks! :)
hmmmmmmmmm struggling today hi all..
Hi, adsman. Thanks for the ge6 clue, evandine. I was missing it too.
Hi adsman. Yes, it is a toughie.
I have two ge's, three gi's and two gl's. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?
2 ge's and a gn
I have a Gn.
oops, you have the ge's. :) just the gn... a small annoying bug.
Sheesh, thanks sprite and jen. A duh, pass-the-fish, head-slapping moment.
Hi all can someone help me please, how many re7 words are there? On my stats it says i have all 7 letter words but i think im missing re7/28 . i have 3 re7words ty
YW... I keep wanting to type in gnu even tho it's not possible AND it's only 3 letters!

I've only got three re7's but I'm still two r's short.
Good morning, doxy.
Hi doxy!
Oh, and good morning caitlyn.

someone who consumes food
nevermind....
nevermind my clue. wrong e
en5-- + consonant + vowel, vowel.
thanks smithchick
en+ chat-speak for thanks in advance
smithchick, I read about your "baby" experience this weekend. My daughter did this several years ago. The dolls are certainly not as fun as a real baby. My daughter sleeps in the basement, so she had to get herself up with the doll. I slept all night.
YW.
Unfortunately, my house is tiny. My son didn't wake up, but I did. I had to go in and roust him out of bed all night.
I am so sorry for your lack of sleep. Take a nap today while he is at school.
I'm trying really hard not to use bj's list, but there aren't a whole lot of clues and I don't know what to ask for. Ack...
I"ve got: co4/8 co4/5 co6/30 co 4/5 co4/8 cr7/44 Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? Please? I'm down to eleven words and getting desperate.
The Cs are driving me bananas. Can someone help me out? I have: Co4 x 4, Co6, Cr7. Still 2 missing. Pretty please???
Thanks, doxy. I'll survive. I'm just in whiny mode this morning, apparently.
Lol!!!!!! In unison!
missing 4 of my 7s, any hints? cr7 44 fi7 52 li7 40 li7 40 re7 52 re7 40 ri7 40 ta7 36 tr7 28
All together now...:)
whiny mode is ok. we all need to do that on occasion
I have the re words sorted now ..on bj stats earlier it said there was a re7/28 after re6/18 but it is a re5

evandine, there is another ta7/36
look everyone, raolen is here! :) :) :)
do you that the ta7 that means more spicy?
Hi raolen
Hello, new arrivals. Post lots of clues!
une -- yes, thats the TA7 i have
refresh!
The other Ta7 is someone who messes up your hair.
There is also an re7/28
ok the other one is something that makes your hair hard to comb . . . it's a ta*******--conditioner de-ta*******
smithchick I dont know what i have done but according to my stats i have finished.
The other seven continues to elude me. Anyone else have it? I've got all those just listed.
congrats caitlyn!!!
Great caitlyn!!! Congrats!! Any idea about the missing c's or the missing 7-letter word?
so do you have the artist's at*****
i am feeling sort of lost with no S...
hint for the re7/52? I've got the other two re7s
oh, seinfeld words should SO count.
smithchick which c did you need?
to argue or throw punches again
Yep, I've got all a's. A c7, an f7, two l7's, four r7's and three t7's.
And I'm done. Need to go change sheets. Have a great day everyone! :)

thanks, eva--i'm done!!
c's I have: co4/8 co4/5 co6/30 c o4/5 co4/8 cr7/44
Bye, jen. Happy laundering:)
eva, you're missing re7/28
une -- i noted that im missing that one...am i missing two of them?
co5/16 co6/27
co 5/16 sounds like money with an extra letter before the end co6/27 same but with vowel on end.
eva, insert another vowel into an re6/18. It's a stupidhead word, I think. It is a suffix that is a qualifier on the end.
eva, there are three re7's
une -- yes, i have two of them already. so im missing the Re7/28 (which i already noted) plus one more 7
smithchick, it's a french word
Bless you une and caitlyn:) Done with the pesky c's finally.
ok, got the other Re7. still missing one 7 though: at7 28 cr7 44 fi7 52 li7 40 li7 40 re7 52 re7 40 re7 28 ri7 40 ta7 36 ta7 36 tr7 28
Thanks! That gave me the Cs I was missing :D
YW im going now but back later have fun lol xx
Thanks again, caitlyn. Bye:)
bye caitlyn
you're missing the te7/28: Arranged in or consisting of sets or groups of three, as a compound leaf with three leaflets
thanks une!
yw

Does my bum look big in this? : /
refresh...
you look gorgeous!!!!
It's very becoming anj, you can hardly see your bum at all, REally.
*toddles over to anj for the Monday Meltdown*
Actually I love your bun just the way it is :)
Thanks : ) Hi All : D Nice bow tie Sprite lol Hey EvaN...that's the Gator Ade over the head then is it??
eva, another re6/24. Same three beginning letters as the other 6/24. Building off one of the g4's.
no gatorade over *MY* head!!
LOL! Thinking of that, any devestated Seahawks fans in here today??
I think it's Monday Meltdown over this grid...:/
eva, also a te6/18. I' m missing the other one.
smithchick -- already have the one building off the G4 -- hints on the other?
It builds off another g4.
yes anj at least one, very cloudy morning in the northwest
Wait, no, I'm sorry. It doesn't build off of one. But that last three letters mean to lease a place. Or to allow
ahh, i found it...but if you remove the RE, youre not loeft with an acceptable G4 word...heh
My typing has become atrocious. Was that too confusing, eva? My brain is somewhat feeble this morning.
Sorry 'bout that. Didn't mean to send you on a wild goose chase.
no worries, sounds like you + i are missing the same last 6-letter word then. any help on the one im missing? an6 24 co6 27 co6 30 fr6 36 ge6 24 ne6 18 re6 24 re6 24 re6 18 re6 18 ro6 27 ta6 24 te6/18
dl88, looked like the two defences ruled to me. The QBs were both a bit subdued
hello! need help on one of the en5/10s. have the "to go in" and the one with the last 2 letters as vowels of the "to go in" what's the third, please?
hi smaller
smaller -- same first 3 letters as "to go in" then go right, and down-left
What am I missing? Thanks in advance:) ea5/10 ea5/10 ei5 /16 el5/18 el4/4 en5/10 en 5/10 en5/10 et4/4
good morning, doxy!!! how's that beautiful grandbaby?!
Hi smaller.
doing well. Unfortunately, mom and baby have to move home with me and hubby. Daughter is going through some rough times for a while.
hi smithchick!!! where's your dress! gasp! you're naked! evanadine-got that one, what's the other?
Smaller, en5- growing outward or inherited from the mother's side.
yes anj it was a great defensive battle and the offenses were both a bit quiet, the big issue around here is the referees made too much of an impact on the game
Naked is good. As long as there are absolutely no eyes upon me whatsoever, including my own. I'm not clever enough to get dressed. I keep meaning to ask my techno-genius hubby to help my find suitable attire for babble, but I forget.
doxy, i'm so sorry for the rough times. but at least you'll get to spend some quality time and help out. that first few months as a new mom is tough
EN + consumed
that is true. I have lots of babysitting days ahead of me
Ooh, Good clue, eva. Do you have all of your e's?
TY evan
still missing my one 6, any help?? an6 24 co6 27 co6 30 fr6 36 ge6 24 ne6 18 re6 24 re6 24 re6 18 re6 18 ro6 27 ta6 24 te6/18
missing just one from the bottom center E
I'm missing one from there and one from the e to the left of it.
thanks eva and smithchick! lol smithchick!
ahh, got my last E -- Ea4
Yup, they seemed to be a bit autocratic at times. That Hasselbeck turnover which was challenged & reversed summed it up for Seattle I guess...
Just got that one, too. Thanks for the hint. Just missing one.
li 6/18: A subordinate rib used in Gothic vaulting to connect the intersections and bosses of the primary ribs.
from the leftmost E, theres an Ei, Er, and El
One e, that is....And seven other words. Including the missing 6.
thanks gwenski!
im now missing 20 words, split evenly -- half 4s, and half 5s hehe
shhh - I'm not really here -- I'm working.
*YAWN* Good morning Babblers... Mondays are so rough!
It's the er. Thanks, gwenski!
ahhh, thanks babble-faerie!
Morning, bugzy. Oops, thanks person who isn't gwenski.
any hints for the lonely i on the left?
nevermind, common babble word...heh... hand me the fish!
EvaN - part of the intestine?
You can share my fish, evanadine. Just found that one myself :)
I'm still flaying myself with the fish, I'll hand it over though.
Can't believe I missed that er.
good morning to those just joining (and hiding out)
smithchick ...you're skinning yourself with the fish??? STOP FOR ALL THAT'S HOLY!!!
Hi smithchick, doxy... This one's a bit deceptive today, eh?
That would be rather painful, huh. Pretty dang scaly fish, that's all I'm saying.
need a clue for the re following the one who leases.
Okay, on that te7. Which t does it start from?
bottom corner
te7 - bird + consume
Doxy think more, but not most on the end of the re4 word preceding the re6.
i can make up mind on a dress. i've had black, light blue, now red. it just doesn't seem like a "me" thing
ok, missing 3 Rs and 7 Ts, any help with those? re7 52 re5 16 re4 7 re6 24 re6 24 re4 7 re5 14 re6 18 re5 10 re7 40 re4 4 re6 18 re7 28 re4 4 re5 10 ri4 7 ri4 7 ri5 16 ri7 40 ro5 16 ro6 27 ta4 6 ta7 36 ta6 24 ta7 36 ta8 50 ta5 18 te4 4 te6 18 te4 4 te7 28 ti4 4 tr5 10 tr7 28
Thanks, doxy. I tried monkey-typing that all different ways and couldn't come up with it.
yw, and ty for the re clue.
I know, smaller -- that's why I let Barbie do the posing. Even though I was one of those moms that refused to let my daughter have one. In cases like this, she has her uses.
After your second re4/4 there is a vowel that turns it into re5/10.
Also, there is a second re5/10 at the very end.
i have that one already
but now ive got another Re5 :)
LOL ch1212, FINALLY, a use for Barbie!
Hi all popping in whilst littlies are taking a very early bath! I have to be in a meeting an hour away at 7.00pm so they are having to get ready for bed really early. That way hubby doesn't get all the burden.
hi snowy
Hi snowy, very considerate of you! :)
Hey snowy, how is our hubby? My version of him is gone again for a little while.
done with the r's finally.
Hi Snowy!!!! Sprite.. nice tie!!!
One more R, one more A. Can't believe they are really in this grid.
Darn... found the A. I have always known I have a problem with getting mad :)
Thanks smaller! :)
sprite, which "r" are you missing?
ok, finished the evil Rs, and help with my 7 missing Ts? ta4 6 ta7 36 ta6 24 ta7 36 ta8 50 ta5 18 te4 4 te6 18 te4 4 te7 28 ti4 4 tr5 10 tr7 28
Hi Doxy - read your earlier posting - I bet your daughter isreally glad you can be there for her- we may be in a similar position ourselves in the future - only for my son. It's hard work but worth every minute & I think proves that you don't ever stop being or needing a mum. My grandmother used to cross my mother over the road when my mum was in her late 50's !
doxy, if I knew that, I wouldn't be missing it, LOL! I'll keep looking for a little while longer. If I can't stand it anymore, I will beg for your assistance :D
Hello everyone! : )
I ended up bying two outfits while I was googling dresses. No more clothes themes! HI all!
Hi babe (((xx))) How's small person??
thanks snowy. It's going to be difficult. Was almost an empty nester. Had one left. At least I can leave her home alone.
eva, th5, th4 x3
Hi smithchick - he's fine! Hiorizontal -but fine! If they ever have a really slow event in the olympics There's a gold for Britain right here in Wales!
hi lola and bunny
Hi lola and bunny.
Hi babe (((xxx))) She's okay, I mailed you about it : )
eva, also a ta4/4 right at the beginning.
Evan, I think you are missing: ta4/4 te5/10 th5/1 8 th4/5 x 3 tr4/4
lola, looking glamorous, as always!!
Bunny... LOL!!! The dangers of theme days!
Why thank you evaN, but do you know who I am? How sexy was Jon, btw?? : )
would it be madonna? (hard to tell from icon pic) jon, himself, looked lovely. the show, however, was lackluster...underwhelming... :/
Lola, it may be my eyes but you look like Mrs. Thurston Howell, III.
Hi snowy, bunny, lola, and whoever else I missed.... I was off finding a new frock... I felt horribly under-dressed :)
doxy has the best dress. oh *i* remember what i was going to use! hang on...
bugzy, much more appropriate.
It's Eddie Izzard : ) Bummer evaN : /
ahh, gotta love me some eddie!!
any hints on the TH5?
Okay just going to check if my bathroom is still above water level & wash 3 lots of hair! If I'm back from the meeting before 1.00am I may get to finish this puzzle! Those kids sound like they're having way too much fun! Happy Babbling
TY Doxie :)
evaN, mmmmmm, me too! th5, top of leg : )
Eva, my kids like the drumsticks, but my favorite is the white meat.
th5 body part
thanks smithchick and mary -- like i said before, cant see for looking!
bye snowy
ok, gwyneth paltrow was alright, but this is more my speed. refresh!
Down to one r5.
Doxy: got it! I was missing the 2nd Re6/24. Finished, pfui!
Good luck Snowy :)
congrats sprite!!!
ok, missing one A an5 14 an5 14 an5 14 an6 24 an4 4 an4 4 at7 28
this one seems hard, although short
Yeah Sprite!!
hurshy, I love it!!!
oh, thank you doxy. i think yours is better though. :)
Yay Sprite !
The first An (5/10)
evaN, an5/10, first on the list : )
thanks.
hurshy, oh my! It's....lovely! : D Hey sprite! : )
Hallolola!

Hi Atalante :)
thanks doxy -- and i found the NA4 on my own. :)
hi atalante. nice dress!!
hi atalante!! woohoo for sprite!!
na4/7, add a bread song (boy george did a cover) : )
ok, 4 words left to find, 2 Ls and 2 Fs fe4 7 fe4 7 fi5 22 fi7 52 fi4 7 fr4 7 fr6 36 fr8 70 le4 4 le5 10 le4 4 li6 18 li5 16 li7 40 li7 40
Hi atalante! : )
Na4/7: lacking worldy experience, like me. Alt. spelling.
Hi Atalante!
btw, had anyone seen Caitlyn today?
fi4/7, make of car? : )
Caityln was here earlier. She finished a while ago. I'm finally done!!! Yeah!
fr4/9, to...um...entertain oneself?? : )
Hi everyone! Am I late to the ball? Had a dickens of a time with the bowtie!
Woohoo for smithchick!!!!
Yay Smithchick !
hi deutsch
WTG smithchick!!!!
was wondering how her husband's surgery went
Ty, ty
YEA for smith!
You look smashing, Deutsch :)
li4/4, sounds like fibber : )
I like the tie, deutsch
thanks, Bugzy! Were you happy with game results?
just for random information, my dress here is very nearly a purple version of my wedding dress (same person who made it, just different embroidery!)
Hi all im back....did i miss anything?
Thanks, sprite! I like your tie, too!
welcome back caitlyn
Fi4 lola? feel free to explain further...?
It's a beauty, Atalante!
Eva, an li4/4 (first li) and li5/14. Did you see the movie, "Napoleon Dynamite"? The li5 is talked about in it. It is an animal.
Hi Cait! I was looking for you. How's the husband?
I was kinda leaning towards the Steelers, so yeah, I was happy to see Bettis win here in DET. Wasn't a very exciting game, tho... pretty sloppy play.
evaN, do you sit ** your desk to play babble? Add that : )
Atalante, it is gorgeous!
*kicks self* once again, hand me the fish! was working the wrong way from the F!
"You have 0word(s) left to find" dont think i deserve any fireworks today though!!
Yay! Well done evaN : )
woohoo eva!!!
Hooray for evanadine! And fireworks!!!!
Yay for evanadine !
Now tell me, did they do 'bad medicine' or 'lay your hands on me'??
Great, evanadine!
Yay!!! Congrats, evanadine!!!
neither of them! i was telling people on friday that my main disappointment was that they played SO MUCH new stuff...its ok, but its not the reason i went to the show! then, when they did play older stuff, most of it was acoustic and fairly energy-less
argh, hard puzzle AND i keep losing my internet connection!
hurshy, wave that wand you are holding. Maybe that will help a little.
Aww, that's disappointing. I only like their earlier stuff, thought they went a bit 'pop' after New Jersey.
Atalante, love your dress! It looks like a purple version of the one my daughter is getting married in, next June. Hurshy's dress is PRICELESS! She was always my favorite character in Oz.
Hi bunny,Hubby ok (thank God) Hospital did micro surgery on nerves in finger (he had sawn through them and tendons) Home now in heavy plaster and sling
mine was deep green and creams - and it was gorgeous!!!
Bye, all. I believe I'll try to recover some of my lost sleep from the weekend from Hades.
their encores, however, were really great -- acoustic versions of "livin on a prayer" and "wanted dead or alive"
i don't think they have internet in oz...
That's good to hear, been thinking about you! Glad he's home so you can nurse him back to health!!
Accoustic 'living on a prayer'?? Hmm, interesting : ) I have to go start dinner, bye for now : )
bye lola
bunny..thank you for being so kind lol
Bye all, dinner is served, so I have to get downstairs. Later! :)
laters babe : )
bye sprite and lola!
Bys sprite
Bye
bye sprite
eva, what concert did you go to?
Oh by the way the icon isnt really me
See you Sprite :)
mine really is me...hehe
Lucky eva !!
Yeah, I'm not really a 6 foot tall, 100 pound black woman either :) But I thought the dress was very nice ! You look marvelous evanadine :)
Say what? "Regift" is not a word? Gee, in my family it is :)
LOL ch1212!
update for another formal piccy of yours truly. ;) hehe (these are all at least a few years old!)
Keep trying to type in eternal and create... need more coffee!
very nice eva.
Hello everyone! Congratulation to all the Steelers fans (myself included)!
ch1212, LOL!!
hi lupe
a msg for all english..anyone wanna a dog??..i have a beautiful affectionate tibetan terier cross...see pic...hes nearly one year old...and i cant lkeep him cos i work..and he needs company...anyone know of anyone who would love to have a loving dog?
morning Lupe!!!!
Lovely color on that one evanadine... I wish I had the occasion to wear these kind of dresses ... *sigh*
Bugzy, you may not be a 6 ft tall 100 lb black woman, and I am not a Barbie porportioned 38-19-32 either. Trust me.
the first one was to my company christmas party a few years ago...the one ive got up now i wore to a wedding...
Hi Lupe
hi rolin, would love one, but my hubby has threatened divorce if I get another dog.
Hi smaller, doxy! How elegant !
Hi bunny!
and getting him to ya might be a prob..lol
Hi Lupe ... Steelers fan? Not the Bears? LOL again ch1212... we can be whatever we want in our icons!!
evan - I just love going to weddings cuz I love going dress shopping. Even if I have a perfectly good dress... So fun to try them on!
I haven't worn anything but jeans and flannel pj pants in years, except for a funeral dress. Guess I need a stepford wife makeover!
lunchtime here, be back in a bit!
later eva
bye eva
Definitely a Bears fan -- but also a big Steelers fan.
Done at last. Woohoo!!!
I was happy to see the Steelers win, too. We love the Bus here!
congrats doxy
I'm off, have sewing to do. See you all tomorrow evening.
Yay doxy !
bye doxy!
Congats doxy.........I have just put hubby in the bath!!! Deep joy!!!!!!!
Bye doxy - and I must go run and get a pop. Be back soon!
It has gone very quiet ...am i alone ?
so, if anyone here was thinking of renting "the brothers grimm", let me save you a few dollars...dont bother!
no, caitlyn, just working on my last two... any clues for the re5/14 that follows the 2 re6/24s, and the re7/28?
I agree Eva, I was really looking forward to it. The kids didn't even like it!
no caitlin im here too
i thought the actors did an ok job, but the plot was flimsy, the writing was terrible, and the cinematography was so confusing...
Thx evanadine -- we were thinking of renting Grimm, but I'll take your word for it. We did rent 'Bewitched' the other night -- so-so. Kidman looks so much like Elizabeth Montgomery, but her voice was WAY wrong.
And Ferrell was fine in Elf, but miscast as Darrin, even a Darrin wannabe.
Great..im not very good at giving clues but here go's re5/14 first 3 letters as above +cons+vowel
I did like the way they stuck all the little fairy tales in there, and really like those two actors, but you're right. It had alot of potential. Won't hurt Heath Ledger though, he went on to be a gay cowboy and rake in the awards!
ch1212..were you brought up on the liz mongomery version?
havent seen bewitched yet...will farrell just makes my skin crawl for some reason... BF and i had been checking the video store for WEEKS for the brothers grimm + it was always all rented out. i was highly disappointed because i wanted it to be so good!
Don't like him either, or Ben Stiller for that matter. Can't stand to watch a movie with them in it. We got Transporter 2 the other day, it was pretty good if you like watching things blow up and get maimed.
caitlyn, your clue was PERFECT. Thanks! Now i just need that re7/28. Rolin, indeed I was -- loved it. Wished I could wiggle my nose too, and tried as a kid. Bunny, we went to see Brokeback Mountain, and I do have to give credit -- amazing acting, cinematography, and really a great love story. I have lots of real cowboys in my family though, and they refuse to even give it a look-see.
ben stiller is ok, though id like to see him do some less slapstick stuff...i think he could be a decent actor... we saw transporter 2 (though i never saw the 1st one!) and i agree...kinda mindless plot, but lotsa stuff go BOOM!
when i was a kid...it was 'new'..lol..and i can wiggle my nose like her...boy was I popular at school..
My brother rides for an outfit that cattle wrangles, and he even refuses to wear a red neckscarf -- personally, I think he's a bit insecure :)
oooh, rolin, I'm jealous. I even used to slap my arms like Barbara Eden in I Dream of Jeanie!
I haven't seen it yet, the husband won't go, imagine that! He said there is just no way they could have gotten away with it back then. He asked if I've ever seen two cowboys holding hands at the stock yards or the bar... I really want to see it though.
ch1212 re 7/28 ..more than your re4/4
Bunny, the movie starts in 1963 and comes forward to modern day. I was surprised about that.
lol...me too ch1212... what do the kids today do??.. shake there bootiliciouses like byoncee??..lol
Really? I wouldn't have thought that. I may sneak off and go to the movies alone.
caitlyn, THANKS!! Done! Anyone want a clue before I go?
I'm looking forward to pirate's of the Carribean 2, but they could put Johny Depp just sitting in a chair for three hours and I'd do watch it...
I agree -- I fell in love with him on the tv show, and adored him in Chocolat.
heh, i didnt see the original pirates of the carribbean for the longest time cause i thought it looked silly...now im awaiting the second and thrilled theyre already making a 3rd!
chocolate? did i hear chocolate?
Yesss, and Edward Scissorhands.
benny + joon
ch1212...did you read the book chocolat?
The MOVIE smaller, but here (hands over a truffle).. this should tide you over.
chocolat was so romantic. and passionate. and food related
THANK YOU ch1212!
Haven't read the book yet, rolin --- but every time I watch the movie, I just cry and cry. The actress not only looks like my mom did, but we were wandering-gypsy types too. 18 schools in 12 years. I really related to the little girl.
well i tell ya what...treat yourself to the book...i loved it soooooo much...i used to ration myself a chapter a night...i treated it like a box of really rich chocolates..and it it...youll love it...sooooo much better than the film
What a wonderful analogy for the book, rolin! I will definitely pick up a copy. Thanks!
I'm into horror flicks, but I haven't found a good one in so long. Last great one I saw was Silver Bullet.
Good Morning Everyone -- woke up to snow this am -- think I was definitely cut out to be a hot house flower! Only good thing about snow at this time of year is that it melts by mid morning.
Hi cybernan
gee bunny -- i thought youd be a huge fan of Bunnicula! ;)
Cyber I'll trade you places, I'm down in Texas. I don't think we are even going to have a winter this year! Hasn't dropped below 70 but once or twice in the a.m.
LOL, my husband bought the books for our son.
at 7?
bunny..sounds like heaven to me, I need the sun !!! ps are twins home ?
at7 is described as an artist's studio or workshop
No, she's bringing them home after nap time today. My spotless house is soon to be a disaster, but I sure miss them!! Twy got in trouble for coloring on the walls and was crying to me on the phone, so sad!
It was good to spend some extra time with the older three though, the twins take up alot of my attention.
I can remember when my son was small he got in trouble for writing on the wall ...mam and dad is pigs ..I had to tell him mam and dad ARE pigs!!
Thank you, Macuser
That is hilarious! I think she just scribbled. I wouldn't know whether to laugh or get ad at that one!
You're welcome cybernan :)
ok..im stumped...what word could be made by the 'e' in the bottom right hand corner that couldnt be made by the e 2 rows above or to the left?
funny how so many of us had disney ideas.
ea - past tense of the one meaning consumed
rolin - past tense of eat
ty bunny..*s*
It can always be washed of or painted over .. enjoy their home coming ...any clues before i go ?
I can't monkey type the te 6/18, any help?
anyone else annoyed that we can't have "regifter"
hey caitlin...do you need a dog?
WHY?
I am hurshy! Seems as good a word as some of the other ones we get
LOL, Hursh, I'm just busy being annoyed with some of the words we CAN have.
well..cos the dog in pic pic is the bestest cutest thing...but needs to live with someone who is at home...and i work all day..
brb, need to put on some clothes
just figured ive only met good ppl on here..and it was worth trying asking round
bunny te6/18 is te + re4/4
rolin I have a dog aged 16+ 2 kids 5 grandchildren and a injured husband ,what are you trying to do to me??
hmmm.. it would be company for your old dog... a playmate for the grandkids..and a companion for your injured husband...PERFECT!!...lol
ok, i'll bite, at7?
hurshy..an artists studio
rolin you are cracking me up !!
co 6/30?
hmm...how do i not know this word? have to google it i guess
but the serious side is....i really have to rehouse him..*sigh*..so seriously..if you hear of anyone trustworthy...who would love a loving dog..
hurshy -- im guessing im still seeing your icon from yesterday, but that cake looks mighty tasty!! hehe
yeah, refresh. it did look yummy, if artificial.
hurshy..i found it from a clue and reverse dictionary
What part of England?
Seem like I heard that BJ's list had an error in the re's? Or did I imagine that? One of the re 7's is really a 5? Do tell!
cybernan co6/30 means to flirt
unfortunately, this stupid computer no longer lets me refresh...has kinda developed a mind of its own... im not even seeing MY icon for today! hehe
well i'm glinda from wizard of oz today.
woot! done!

sorry harpjane that was me earlier I had a funny moment ...bj list ok sorry
Congrats, Atalante!

what else bunny...this is not one of THOSE sites .......is it??..*looking round*
Still looking for c 6/30 and cr 7

cybernan cr7 is a gmae played with mallets and wickets

caitlyn..bless you.. you can get me on ro.linton@ukonline.co.uk
gotta go make a stir fry..ill bbl...bye all..
I'll ask around as well, Rolin. I'd love to have him, but I've already had to turn down 1 dog because of possessive-as-hell spaniel :(
Thanks again, macuser
bye rolin
yw, cybernan :)
Bye all catch you tomorrow happy babbling lol x
bye cait
Bye, Cait
Caitlyn - You may have already figured this out, but when my hubby severed one tendon in his right hand, he found that sweatpants were in order. He couldn't work a zipper with one hand.
gwenski I do it for him !!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a suggestion...
whoa, you guys! Too much information!
R 7 clues, anyone? I don't have a single one.
harp -- i just posted them all below!
re 6/24's?
So I see. Thanks!
re7 to fi5/22 again
welcome. :)
i just signed in- is there any Q?
bunny re6/24 is re + gi4/6
i am at work and none of my game sites but this one works and i cant get to babblers anonymous either ACK
Eva, since you can't refresh, do you type in the address in the browser instead of coming in through a favorite place mark? You might get newer images then?
Thank you and pass the fish! I know better than to give up on the re's until I've got all the other words!
sorry mac, still missing that g as well
li 6?
doesnt seem to matter which way i get here... it used to refresh automatically, and one day it just kinda decided not to... then it used to work if i cleaned out my cache, but really, doing that everyday? not worth it...heh
Michele - No words start with the q, but several (4?) use it.
bunny the gi4/6 is the opposite of innocent minus the 'u'
cool ty
cyber -- Li6 starts with the Li4 before it, then add a consonant and a vowel..."ANY" consonant and vowel. ;)
ok, got the g and 1 re 6/24 thx again
li6 sounds like what teachers want student to do. Definition is "A subordinate rib used in Gothic vaulting to connect the intersections and bosses of the primary ribs". (I'm just here lurking while I eat lunch.)
Ty -- thought I'd tried that!
bunny the other re6/24 starts with the same 3 letters as the other one but ends with another word for allow
ty, ty mac...I usually monkey type more before I ask for clues.
You're welcome bunny - sometimes the monkey needs to rest ;)
*smacks own hand* just went and bought myself a snickers bar!
thanks macuser!
Smacking of hands is only required if you actually EAT the candy!
Eva, you look skinny enough not to have to worry about it! :)
well, whats the point of HAVING it if i dont EAT it??
Umm, to share with others? Like us??
You could attatch it to you r head like the commercial, or maybe a bowtie...
heh, those icon pictures squish me right down to the size i *WISH* i were! but hey, at least i exercised enough self-restraint to just get the regular + not the king-size!
candy? did i hear someone say candy?
OH -- you 'exercised'! Then candy is definitely allowable!
*mumbles* nrrp, no crndy hrre!!
Down smaller, didn't chi throw you some chocolate earlier?
lol, gwen
re 5/14? -- have to rule
Did I hear chocolate?
re + teeny little fruit fly without the last letter
Thanks, bunny
Good clue, bunny!
*increases death-grip on her candy bar and runs quickly away*
bunny.. shhh. sugar highs only last a short time. need IV hook up.
*tackles eva*
*chocolate melted from eva's death grip* darn!
Smaller, your bio says you're from Montana. Are you anywhere near Great Falls? I have a son stationed there (but he's not there now cuz he's currently overseas.)
i KNEW my daily practicing with anj would come in useful!! *grabs smaller in a full nelson and drags her into the Monday Melee*
Gwenski, no I'm further west and just north of Missoula. send him some WARM clothes. It gets FRIGID in great falls! Eva, you're chocolate coated from the chocolated and I bite
Gwenski, overseas? in Iraq?
CHOMP
*lola streaks through chat log, grabs chocolate and disappears*
te 6/18?
*lick* man, i AM tasty!!
Hi everyone! Don't know if anyone remembers me, but I have the week off and finally have time to indulge in some quality babbling! Nice to see some familiar names! Anyway, I am just not seeing the li 6/ 18 or the li 5/ 14... any clues?
Smaller, be sure you come to the harp camp concert at Camp Bighorn on May 20!
oopseys!! lola.. i may have nipped off your finger. i shall put it on ice for you. doctors are great at these things now.
*gets jerked along side of lola*
te6/18, add your last re4/4 : )
Hi sfneil! Of course we remember you! : ) li5 sounds like stripey large cat : )
Harpjane!! Woohoo! On my caledar!!! Babble convention!!
li 6/18 - sounds like what teachers want you to do li 5/14 - spell like striped wild cat
li6/18, add to your li4 before it. Think ** and you but change the first letter : )
Harpjane... you should be easy to spot with the harp. please carry it around all the time.
for the Li6, just add "ANY" 2 letters to the end of the Li4 before it. ;)
Hmm...looks like i'm missing out on the fun... : / Hi SFNeil : )
Yep, he volunteered for duty in Iraq. Left in mid-January, and is scheduled to return in four months. Sorry for the delay -- work is calling me back. :-(
Hey babe (((xx))) : )
Smaller, actually I'll blend in with the crowd. There will be 30 harps!
Gwenski, tell him thank you. and I will even send him warm clothes for when he returns to great falls
Thanks, folks! got the li5... still not seeing the li6... I'm rusty!
Thanks for the clothes offer, but the air force apparently keeps him well-supplied with cold-weather gear.
Hi babe ((xx)) : )
Add onto the li 4/4 before it with opposite of old, **w
Harpjane, 30? WOW! name tag?
Ah got it! Thanks, evanadine!
Smaller, just don't be shy. Ask around! I'd love to meet you!
How you doing tonight babe?
LOL. don't worry. shy is really not a problem
Been looking for twenty minutes for my last word, and I already had! If I had just flipped to stats!
te 6/18, please?
harpjane, i'll be the one standing on a table screaming "HARPJANE!"
te6/18, add your last re4/4 : )
14 to go...just bumbling along : )
hour + 15 minutes left...*tries not to go mad*
Need clues Anj? BTW, you look very nice in a dress ;)
Actually there will probably be two Janes there.
anyone have a clue on ne6/18? plz & ty!
Smaller, wear your red formal and I'll find you!
Harp, just put some chocolate in your pocket!
Cool. I'll have to disappear again in a bit, so shout if you need any help : ) xx
efor, more ne4/4? : )
add onto the ne4/4 before it
lol harpjane!
Done! -- thanks for the help, everyone
slap a suffix on the ne 4
oops! sorry! i meant ne5/12.. :)
fr 6?
fr 6: scare -- extend it for the 8
harp...BOO! Did I give you a fr6?? : )
ne 5/12 - under
ne 5/12, the fuses are ne**** the dashboard.
efor, if it's not on top it's under ne5 : )
ty bunny!

Woohoo! Done! I'll stick around for a bit if anyone needs clues. Ah, the joys of leisure time!
sfneil! I see you're back! Hi and Hi everyone. I have 4 more to find!
Hi, Deutsch! Nice to see you again! Yes, I have this week off before I start my new job, so have some time to play.
good for you, Sfneil. I hope it's a good and exciting job! (2 too go)
Thanks, Deutsch! It promises to be MUCH better than the job I've just left, which I HATED.
Oh, good! (1 to go)
Once again, my last two were easy 4-letter words. That's me, done all over!
Congrats, Deutsch! Same here... searched forever for two simple four-letter words at the end!
Bobsta??? :)
sf, looks like we're not needed for clues. See you later and enjoy your week!
Guess not. Oh well, maybe I'll go for a walk on the beach. Thanks, and nice to see you Deutsch!
It's 37 degrees and windy here. I dread even going to the grocery. Really, this time I'm leaving!
63 and blue skies here... gotta love california sometimes! Cheers, and stay warm!
sooooo quiet! anyone there? need a clue for the te8/18
oops 6/18
Hey guys im new to this.what ARE you saying?? Whats 4/4 orfr/6??
david, first two letters of the word "fr" then number of letters in the word 6 then point value of the word 36 fr6/36
david, so the 4/4 that you listed should have 2 letters in front. like an4/4
does that help?
Gottcha I think. fr/6 would be fright?? Im at 37 words in about 5 mins is that par?=580pts
Hi davidgeman Welcome! This is a very friendly group that chats and exchanges clues. ta4/4 means "a 4-letter word that starts with ta and scores 4 points". In addition to these stats, chatters exchange clues in the form of definitions, cryptics, riddles, etc. - anything except posting the actual word! Good luck and have fun!
david, yes on the fr6. but PLEASE don't post words major no-no. point figuring is listed in "babble rules" on the top header of the page you just multiply
david, don't worry, it's not timed. time is not a factor in the points
Right im in the groove now, thanks guys I will learn(slowly). Where you all from (can I ask)? Im in mid england & its cold
David -Chicago 34 sunny but cold
david, i'm in the US and it's cold too. you can pay $10 and upgrade to get the icon thingy and a blurby about you and if you click by our names there's a bio that you can read.
hi kids!
still need a clue on te6/18? Anyone? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
I'm from Ottawa - Canada's capital, so I'll bet it's even colder here. About -7C, actually. brrrr!
hey boreetos! how's work?
Hi All! I have about 20 minutes.... how's the grid today? Looks ominous.....
Colorado here, 45 at the moment. Fairly sunny too!
kinda glum today, what with Seattle losing yesterday.
yes, clue for the te6/18 please
Hi CadFan! It's been ages!!!!! Have you signed up for any races?!
Smaller - te plus one of your re 4/4s
Sorry about the loss Boreetos - I was rooting for Seattle!!!! but it didn't help :(
has any body got a clue for an 5/10 an 5/14
no, i think rooting for fair refs would have been the thing to do. :)
they played a good game ,
ge6?
ge plus another re4/4 !
I need a whole bunch of them......lol I see I don't have alot of them yet....back to searching
I watched the half time show (I think Mick needs to retire) and the last half.... was a good game!
No no races - I'm still trying to get well - turns out I have walking pneumonia....... sheesh.....
thanks hazzardous
Cadfan - then stand still and maybe it will go away!!!! LOL.... only kidding. That is no fun - hope you feel better soon!!! :)
CadFan, if you ran, maybe you'd outrun it. since it's "walking"
the thing is I dont even really watch football, but because the home team was in the Superbowl, I cared more than usual, and I jsut hate to see something unfair happen to anyone. There were Steelers fans saying last night that they didn't want the steelers to win like that either. So, really, its just something that they'll have to overcome next year.
Mick definatly needs to get off the stage. He's just sort of sad.
billie - an 5/10 means "to annoint". Which an 5/14 do you need - there are 3 of them?
LOL - I keep trying to run - I figure either I'll feel better or die trying! Have been considering signing up for a local 1/2 which is in April.. we'll see. It's a tough one with some very, very difficult hills.
I agree Boreetos - I personally think sports are highly overrated and hyped. But you are right. I think it was exciting that it was the Seahawks first visit to the SB!!! That's exciting in itself!
Gotta go guys. thanks for the aid. gnight(it is here)
I has to root for the Steelers. Two of the players are graduates of the school I work at - and we are HUGE fans of all the teams here. (Colorado State University)
G'nite david!
nite David come again
Did you get the te 6/18? It's te + the last re4 Sorry if I'm redundant :)
I was "impressed" with the energy he still has at his age, running around and shaking that little butt of his - not a bad bod for his age, but was not impressed with the music - instrumental OR vocal. Maybe it was the equipment they had - that might have been part of it...
nite david!
How rude of me... we have a new guest and I did not welcome him???? I'm sorry - welcome to Babbleonia, Davidgeman!!!!! Once you enter, there's no turning back....... *evil giggle*
g'nite chet. (couldn't resist)
you're right MB, they are way too hyped and commericilized. But, at the same time, sports bring people together in a way that no other experiences can. It gives children idols and gives towns something to cheer for, but what happens when those Idols are taking steroids and in it for the money and fame. And when those towns cheer for a game won through unfair means. That's not what sports are supposed to be about.
no worries CadFan. I can't argue with anybody rooting for anyone. I have my bias because of where I live. Mb, yeah, the vocals particularly were terrible. I couldn't hardly hear Mick most of the time.
I'm off for a bit. Going to play scrabble on line with my sister.
I totally agree, boreetos. It is fine for the sport of it, commaraderie, and all that. But then human nature steps in and there ya have it. I also think too much money is devoted to it. I don't think someone who can swing a bat or kick a ball is more important to society than a teacher who molds young minds, but makes a small fraction of the salary.
how many words are there in this one? I'm only up to 48 words....lol
Exactly, unfortunatly, I don't think Nike is going to endorse Mrs. Thompson's First Grade class for a three year, 20 million dollar contract.
There's 108, hulagirl. Of which, I have 108 to find!!! LOL
bye CadFan!
108 hulagirl
Right! The world as it exists.... whether we like it or not!
its true, its hard to find somewhere honest to look for answers when there is greed and corruption in all facets of life.
ha ha you'll probably find them faster then I can.....g/l mama
hello all.
ty for the te6/18 clue......got it
well, I gotta get back to work. thanks for the philosophy talk. Some days its hard to not get dissappointed in the world. But then again, the mountains and sunrise looked absolutely amazing this morning on my way to work. Couldn't help but smile. So, its a trade off I guess. See you kids a little later.
bye
hi kimmie
I really love the way you think, Boreetos!!! Have a wonderful afternoon..... :)

mr. P: have you ever WATCHED baseball? LOL
No cricket is not popular. We tried to read the rules over the summer and got very confused. I don't like baseball much... American football, basketball and soccer are my favs.

Hi Jac -- (*Hug*) li6?

li6 - A subordinate rib used in Gothic vaulting to connect the intersections and bosses of the primary ribs. Bet you're really glad you asked now! Try adding a consonant and a vowel to the end of the li4 before it.

Hi ace -- sorry but I don't translate leet to well :)
can i get a hint and how much pointas u get on this 1 ?

LOL, Judi. WELL DONE!

Thank you, Temple. A superficial wound. Nothing a little brandy and crazy glue can't patch up in a jiffy.
hi mega...and recent joiners!
Billie - the re5 - 'God save our gracious Queen, long live our noble Queen... etc., long to re*** over us. God save the Queen.' Hope that's specific enough!

Gotta go for now -- time to take care of bedtime stuff and feed son -- will be back later (*Hugs to all*)
No chocolate for me thanks. I'm feeling rather sick after eating too much earlier. Still trying to digest the pasta and the pudding that I should NOT have had.
what does to anoint mean plz
'Bye Wolfie. See you another time. I'll be off to bed soon.

'Bye Peri.
ahhhhhh ty ty

The "qu" is only used in two words and they're both co's.
Oops, I lied. One is Co and the other is Cr
The 'qu' is used in one 'co' word and one 'cr' word.
hi hulagirl..debating whether or not to take a break..phone tied up too long...
its also used in an two ro words Hi all
hi missy
Billie - do you have the an5/10 yet? If not, think what you might say if you saw a large grey animal with tusks and a trunk... 'Oh! An ***phant!'
I stand corrected. Thank you, Missy. Obviously, I'm trying to forget all about the R's today.
Hi Owl = 0 )
Hi Missy. Yes, it is.
i like your icon missyme .from billy and many thats grim=)
I've been at my daughter's house this past weekend. I had loads of fun. Hope everyone's weekend was good too
thnk - u jacula i just got the clue now
have u got a clue 4 at 7/28
Mega I think my icon is supposed to be tomorrow's theme. I didn't see today's on the list Grim Fandango is one of my favorite games. :) Of course, Day of the Tentacle is first.
I was afraid Billie was going to ask that. It's all yours, Jacula.
Billie - for the at7, add the past tense of 'eat' to your li4/4.
The proper definition of the at7 is a workshop or studio for design or art.
the words are hiding from me...why is it the minute billie asked for a clue, i could go and find the at7, but not before? list time, i guess!
Judi those r's drove me nuts too
Where does one find the daily icon themes?
The only words that drove me mad were a couple of the th4/5s but I got them through monkey typing.
at7 He at* the whole piece of pie + li4/4,( li + second vowel + consonant)
Judi - themes are in Babbler's handbag. Tomorrow (today - the 7th)'s is 'Characters from your favourite computer games' for Anj.
Judi right here on Babbler's profile: http://www.playbab ble.com/view_profile/6719 t he list will update daily
Hi everyone, Back again, with 17 left to find. Does anyone have a clue for the 2 re6/24s?
1st re6/24 - to cover with gold leaf again. 2nd re/64 - 1. Architecture. A narrow, flat moulding. 2. Printing. A flat piece of wood used to separate lines of type.
EEK! I just pasted in that profile address for Babbler, forgetting that spaces get added to addresses when we do that and was sent to a 'Playboy' profile!
lol Jacula!
Hubba Hubba! Are we going to have to put that parental lock on your computer, Jacula? Naughty you.
can sum 1 help me with co4/8 co 5/16 co 6/27
either I'm blind or I just need a break already but could someone give me a clue for gi 4/9 please
Well, I wouldn't have minded if it was hunky fellas from 'PlayGIRL'! LOL.
Hula: another word for present (like the kind you get for your birthday)
Everyone else, if you copy and paste the site I posted be sure to take out the space between the "bab" and the "ble" in the address
got that one ty.....I need another one
Thanks Jacula! (for the clues-not the referral to Playboy(-:)
oops it's supposed to be for gi 4/6
There's only one Gi4/9, Hulagirl. There are two Gi4/6 however.
Hula - gi4/6 - gold leaf gi4/6 - a UK unemployment benefit cheque.
dont even lie eva i know you went there.bad eva
Eva - y/w (for either). LOL.
lol(-:!
can sum 1 help me with co4/8 co 5/16 co 6/27
didn't go, but have ended up some pretty strange places by googling.
billie co4/8 this is when you style your hair, co + a little two-letter word considered the biggest word in the english language..."What **?" co 5/16 a penny or a dime are this time of thing, (add a "g" between the "i" and the "n" co 6/27 add a vowel to the end of the co5/16 word above
Eva - googling the most innocent words sometimes leads to strange places.:-)
And God bless Google for that. How boring would it be otherwise?
Here's a word that I'm surprised wasn't accepted today: "regift". Apparently Martha Stewart has influence over Dr. God.
ty ty......keep having to reboot
judy: every seinfeld fan knows that's a real word!
Eva I was always getting porn sites when I was looking for medical terms...irritating!
well, feel embarassed to ask again-but the re7/28 and one of the last 2 re5/10's are also eluding me. Normally I'd duke it out on my own for longer, but am claiming viral victim status tonight-please help to send this sniffly, sneezy woman to bed. I have the last or second to last re5/10 which is like the eye part without the "n".
you would know the that doodling the most incent terms lead to strange places, and omg missy just say it you where looking at porn
Temple - there was a whole article about it in our newspaper just this very week. There are definite dos and don'ts about when, how to, what not to, etc.
Trust me on this one guys--never google an intestinal virus found in feces unless you want to lose your lunch...the site that came up.... o-0
fr6 and fr8??????
Google's motto is 'Don't Be Evil' Anagrams of that are Bed Violent Love Bed Nit Bedevil Not Bidet Novel I Vet Blonde To Bend Evil Don't Live. Be! Bot End Vile and that's just for starters! LOL.
Thanks for sharing THAT, Missy.
missy: that's what my ex always said! i need some help please on the an 4/4 before the poker price and the an5/24 - not the heavenly being and the opposite of curve...
when I was inexperienced with the web I didn't know that once you get into one of those sites you never get rid of them again....now I've become much more careful and expert as escaping without leaving anything behind. Also, having a Mac helps a lot.
why would we want look up peaples crap any
Tim fr6 another word for scared you have a good fr**** fr8 past tense of above word
I gotta scoot, kids. See you all tomorrow.
mega I had to. I needed the spelling correct for a medical report I was doing. I didn't actually look at the site, I didn't need to, I just read what the site was about in the short blurp that comes up on the google site list
'Bye Judi.
thanks missy, dont know how I miss those easy ones!
One left to do. Can someone give me a clue for te 6 18 please....
Te + re4/4
Tim probably the same way I do. You get hung up on the hard ones and the grid gets blurry--can't make out even more common words after a while bye Judi :)
Add your 2nd re4/4 to the prefix, Sula. Meaning is: Cylindrical but usually slightly tapering at both ends, circular in cross section, and smooth-surfaced.
bye judi...
bye bye judi c you tomaro and stay off the porn site becouse some of dint dosent give you the right too
though i don't think it's spelled exactly this way, te 6/18 looks similar to the syndrome in which people can't help swearing and stuff
*Suel (Sorry!)
ea 4/5 any clues
re7/28 - A person who lives on income from property or investments.
billie ea 4/5 first 3 letters of word above + a consonant, (then word sounds like you have a lisp)
re5/10 - what you do with your shoelaces if they come undone.
My heroine, Jacula!!
y/w, Eva. Now, if you're done, take that box of tissues, get someone to rub Vick on your chest (:-))) and get some kip.x
Can I blame not having seen that re5/10 on the virus too?
hi5/18??....please
Took an antihistamine, have my glass of water, my box of kleenex and my nose drops and am splurging on the electric space heater until I go to sleep. Just 9 more words to go!
Sorry I am so slow tonight with the thank you's. Thank you all so much for your clues. I am done. Can I help any one with a clue?
hi5/18 - add a short beverage to the hi4 above it. Sounds like, 'he was of average he***.'
hi5/18 is an old way of saying 'named' or 'called'.
Hi is how tall someone is.
Temple just saw you needed these, sorry for the delay an 4/4 Both 4/4's sound like American way of saying auntie with different vowels at the end an6/24 this is a type of fisherman, add a consonant to the end of an5/14 above it
WELL DONE SUEL. *~*~*~*~FIREWORKS FOR SUEL*~*~*~*~
Thank you Jacula. It was not bad tonight. It only took an hour and a half.
congrats suel.....I have 10 more, te7/28? and te5/10?
well done suel! fi8/70 please?
Suel - I think it took me approximately that long, between jobs, too, during my 'this morning' (in UK - so about 14 hours ago now).
Tim te7/28? word above this one + past tense of "eat" te5/10? te4/4 + second vowel at end
never mind : )
Tim - te7/28 - add the past tense of 'eat' to the te4 (the seabird) before it.
Temple fi8/70 ( you mean fr8/70?) When you really scare someone you fr****** them
te is the second te 44 + past tense of eat.
OYE! Thought I was missing just 3, but the grid says 5, which means that two of the missing ones are complete mysteries. But the ones I know I am missing are: en 5/ 10 ne 5/ 12 th 5/ 18
The biggest 'fi' is fi7/52. What Rocky was. Or you could say, 'I'm a lover, not a fi*****'.
Temple fi7/52 another name for a boxer, he's a fi******
th5/18 - the part of your leg above your knee.
Jucula , Wow you are from England?
thanks ....8 more, and their all re's...except for 1 en5 have the op of exit and the relation word.....????
ne5/12 - means 'under' or 'below'. Usually begins with 'be'. Also the name of a town in S. Wales.
Tim, I 'm missing the same en5/10 and have the others also.
There are 3 en5/10's. Who has what?
How on earth do you know such things, Jacula?!
I'm missing two of the en's
Eva - how do I know what things? *Looks puzzled*
As Tim said, I have the opp of exit and the relational one.
Well, like so many of the words you know, but in this case the town in Wales!
have the opposite of exit and the relation word..been monkeyin and cant get the 3rd one!!!
welly bye peaple i hope you have a good time gfetting words and if you dont get them all just look at me ive ben on an hour and i only got 10 well bye
en one is en + pass tense of eat one is not to go out but to en...
eva en 5/ 10 first three letters of word above + first vowel ne 5/ 12 when something is under something else it is be***** it th 5/ 18 the meaty upper part of your leg
3rd en5/10 - no definition as such. en+ first part of name of a coffee licquer, *** Maria.
Bye mega :)
third en is the same first three letters as the one to come in. Then add two vowels
Thanks again!
Eva - Probably because I'm from the UK and I've been to that town in Wales. LOL.
Jacula...wow I almost gave that same liquer clue :)
tyvm for the en's
That would explain it. I guess it sounds so exotic and far away to me. Have to go back to BJ's list and see which r's I'm still missing. GRRRRRR
If there's one word I do have a blind spot about spelling it's 'liqueur'! LOL.
thanks ....whew!!!!!
Eva - There's nothing 'exotic' about Neath!
Sh*t! I posted a word in the log.
bye mega
ta8/50?
hows about ta 7/36 ta8/50 re 7/52 re7/28
Good night, Husband is home. Time to snuggle.
nite
ta8/50 - The less you condition your hair, the ta8/50 it will become. Or you could say that the more a kitten plays with your ball of knitting wool, the ta8/50 the wool will become.
ta is what happens to your hair if you had a bad night
Nite, Suel. I'd like to snuggle up,too (with my man, that is, not yours!) but I still feel very full and sick from eating too much earlier. Note to self: When on a diet, do NOT binge!
re 7/52 re + another word for box or hit, fi5/22 re7/28 re + consonant + ti4/4
re7/52 - to fi5/22 again.
Jucula At least you started your diet. I was supposed to start New Years Day. I failed.
ta7/36 - add a 't' to the start of your fisherman at an6/24.
Suel - I mean to say 'Revised Eating Plan', not 'diet'. LOL.
Jacula Maybe if I called it that it might work.
ty...those were pretty easy I feel a bit silly not getting those
Suel - if you really want to diet, don't fret about not starting on New Year's Day. Start when you know you have the resolve to carry it through.
3 left to go! th5/18 and the re4/7 & 5/14 between the length of a monarch's rule and to let up.
Suel - 'diet' is a very bad word because a) it leads your mind and your body to think, 'EEK! I'm being starved!' and therefore lay down anything it receives in its fat cells. b) Because you cannot 'diet' for the rest of your life. You must revise your eating instead.
Jac: You are absolutely right as far as dieting. Suel: Just eat what you normally do, just less of it. Then cut out sweets, potatoes and all breads. It does come off. Slowly, not like the other fast diets, but you keep it off.
Jacula Thanks, You are right about that. Well, I really have to go now . Good night.
'Bye Suel.
Jo Jo Thanks too
Suel: YW
Suel - reintroduce the carbs from potatoes and breads slowly. You don't have to go without them for life! You'll find your appetite for them is less once you've got used to it.
1 more word..Ist re6/18???....please...(-8
Eva - th5/18 - the fleshy part of your leg above your knee.
Your diet is whatever you eat, at anytime in your life. To go on a 'diet' (using diet as a verb) is to: To eat and drink according to a regulated system, especially so as to lose weight or control a medical condition. Just be sure to not let diet become a 4 letter word. And you are what you eat. Currently, I am a Naked Juice Superfood smoothie and celery sticks dipped in sunflower seed butter. But most evenings, I'm a pint of Ben and Jerry's.
Tim - re6/18 - to give in after cajolement. Or what happened to a library book after you renewed it - it was re****.
Boatierra - Spot on re the di4 word!
Thanks Jacula-this is really getting embarassing! How could I have missed that?! Only 2 left, and the meds are beginning to take effect, so I'd love to get them done.
Suel: Jac is right. I include some breads and potatoes now in my diet now. It has been years since I lost 75 lbs., and haven't gained it back. But, one thing I always did, was weigh everyday. I know, I know, experts say not to do that, but I did and still do. If I am up a pound, I cut something out. Cut something out, if you are pound up, better than waiting til it is out of control.
Jojo - I know it's tempting to weigh every day, but I must disagree with you on that one. You know, without weighing, if you've overdone things on one day or not. Best to put the scales away and weigh yourself once a week, at same time of day, before eating and before dressing.
ummmmm, can any of y'all give me a nint on an 5/10?
Can I get help for the other re6/24? I have the one that means to cover in gold again.
re4/7 & the re5/14 right after it?
Eva - I'd love to help but I'm having trouble figuring out what you need from what you said.
re4/7 - a robbery. re+ Rudyard Kipling's famous poem.
Jac: Always w/o dressing. I always take my rings and watch off when I weigh, I am in the buff. I would take my glasses off too, except I couldn't see the scale. HA!Each their own whether to weigh every day or not. It worked for me to weigh everyday, but maybe not for others. Everyone, each their own.
re5/14 after that word is what a monarch does. I sang the UK National Anthem earlier to clue this.... 'Long to re*** over us. God save The Queen!'
evenin babblers!
has any 1 got some clues for th 5/18 th 4/5 th 4/5 th 4/5 plz im stuck big time
billie the th 5 is the upper part of your leg
Jacula-I have the "long may she re___ over us" Then the next one I have is the re6/18 meaning to soften. According to Bj's list I am missing two workds between those 2-an re4/7 and and re5/14.
Jojo - When I ran a weight-watching club many years ago (it was at 7pm on a Thursday evening) I could heardly hear myself speak for all the stomachs gurgling because they'd not been given any dinner before coming. In winter, the sound of teeth chattering, because people were in light summer clothes to 'lessen the load' was also a problem. And as for the 'Lost Property Box' - it was full to bursting with wedding rings, earring, hairslides, bracelets, anklets, dentures, glass eyes and any other thing that could be removed from a body. LOL.
Just remember the Kipling poem, so got the 4/7!
Eva - the re list: re 7/ 52 re 5/ 16 re 4/ 7 re 6/ 24 re 6/ 24 re 5/ 14 re 4/ 7 re 5/ 14 re 6/ 18 re 5/ 10 re 7/ 40 re 4/ 4 re 5/ 10 re 6/ 18 re 7/ 28 re 4/ 4 re 5/ 10 re 5/ 10
it's the second re5/14 that I'm missing.
I'm still missing...... el5/18 er4/4 li6/18 re5/10 re5/10
Jac: People have to eat and not starve themselves to death, that was not what I was saying, if you contrued that from my chat. All I am saying, is again, diets didn't work for me, HOWEVER, they do work for others, and I am not one to chastise anyone who follows any kind of diet. I just wanted to relay what worked for me, not everyone, just me.
Eva - it's the 2nd re5/14 I've been giving you! Sounds like wet weather! Or to relight (re***ite).
clearly I'm fishizled! Since I have that one, it must be the other re5/14 that I'm lacking. Sorry for the mud brain!
Eva - anagram of 'grean'.
'fishizled'? Nice word! LOL.
JoJo - wasn't chatsising you. Was making a funny memory from my diet club days. We all used to laugh about those nights.
Jac typed a word!!!
Jac: I know that.
I knew that once they'd all gone home and I'd finished tidying up for 10 mins that if I popped into either of the nearby social clubs or chip shops on my way home I would find at least 2 of my class in each! LOL.
Done! Jacula, thanks so, so much!!!!!Off to sleep now. See you tomorrow.
'Bye Eva. I hope you feel better later. Hope I do, too!:-/
Oh heck, MrPres - if I've typed a word that'll be the second time since I've been on here tonight.
Jac: Yeah, weight is awful to lose. People can put up a facade, like they aren't eating, but, like you said, they could end up in a chip shop, if they starve themselves.
*chatsising*?? I meant chastising.
Jac: You worry too much, I knew what you meant.
.... talking of worry, how is your daughter going Jac?
Hi Mr. P.
Hi JoJo!
Mr.P: I suppose you are done with the grid, right?
...very done!!
By the way everyone, anyone want to walk me thru how to put my country flag, and a pic on my name? Just tell me how to get the info off babbs anon. I can do it from there.
JoJo you need to pay to become a member ...it's under $10.
Darlene: Even to put your flag and an icon about yourself? $10 is fine, but I thought it was free to post that stuff.
MrPres - She's healing slowly but surely. Mind you, she had to have a verruca frozen off her foot today so is in even more pain for now.:-(
Jac, ouch!! That takes ages to heal too!
JoJO if you mean the flag and icon HERE then it's $10. If it's over on Babanon... I didn't realize they had that there. sorry.
Jojo - you can read BabAnon without paying, though it is a members' place. One very generous Babbler paid us all up for a year on there. This site, Babble, is $10 for life membership.
Jojo - you can join and post on BabAnon for free at present. You need a photo-hosting site to put up your own pics from your own pc though.
Jac: What is wrong with your daughter? Never heard of a verruca? Sounds like something wrong with her feet. No one has had more problems with their feet than me. Two surgeries, a broken leg at the ankle, etc. etc.
Jojo - a verruca is a wart on the foot. They are impacted and grow inwards rather than outwards. Rather painful and quite tricky to get rid of. Best method is to have them burned off with liquid nitrogen. It hurts like hell, mind!
any clues for the 2nd te 6/18 te 4/4 te 7/28 te 5/10 plz be specific with the clue im not very good with clues
There is only one te6/18 - te+ 2nd re4/4.
i knw ave u got a clues plz 4 te 6/18 ...........
There are 2 te4/4s - 1st is the first part of TV. 2nd is a seabird that sounds like a driving manoeuvre when going round a bend.
te7/28 - add the past tense of 'eat' to the te4 seabird.
te5/10 - add an 'e' to the end of the te4 seabird.
hello all you babble darlings....8) just arrived home from the office...
Jac: As a kid I was ridden with warts on my hands. Had them burned off. It hurt like heck. But, that was back in the 50's, so hope they have different methods now. But, they did stay away. But, my grew outward not inward like your daughter's.
Good evening, Renfield. You're looking very suave and debonair in your full evening gear tonight.
Hi Ren. Hi everyone!
Hi ren and everyone else -- back to finish -- Seb is currently being fed by Mom and I have only 13 to go :)
Hi Ren and Musicmom
Jojo - No, the method's not changed because it's the only one that really works! The warts on the feet grow inward because of the impact of walking on them.
hi mistress - i didn't have a black frock to match you so i thought i would just be an accent!
Hey GW.
hey mm, wolfie, jojo...i still have some legal docs to read, just wanted to say hi!!!
can u be more specific with the clue for te 4/4 plz
Ren: Are you a lawyer or a paralegal?
Hi, Babblers!
hi everyone - can I have a clue for my last word...re 6/24 - not the one who leases
Hiya Wolfie. I see you're wearing your typical evening dress, as am I. :-)
Who's got the ups on the themes for February - still in Babbler's Bag?
I'm stuck in star sign theme! (Leo, in case you're wondering)
jojo - i'm an hr puff-n-stuff bussiness law type person; however, i'd rather be surfing! yes - i went before the bar...
Billie - te4/4 is a seabird. The word sounds like what you might do with a steering wheel to get yourself arounda corner - you'd tu** it. Or, if you got up on stage to tell a joke or sing a song you might be said to be 'doing a tu**.
Ren: Think by your icon you must be female. Good for you to go before the bar. Proud of you.
Billie - if you have the re4/4 meaning to lease, it's an anagram of that.
yea i have that one its the other 1
yes jojo - i'm a girl..i enjoy being a girl!!!
Jac - Yeah well, I try to maintain theme, but with the new restrictions on my time about to start, I haven't been as strict as in the past ;)
Jojo - of course Ren's a girl! She has a pink 'handbag'. LOL.
Ren: I enjoy being a girl too. ~~ most of the time.
Wolfie - you look well-dressed to me!
Jac: Sorry. Can't see the pink handbag.
wolfie - you always look nice !!! wolves are beautiful!!
Um, theme, anyone? Please <puppy eyes>?
Thank you, ladies :) *bows in direction of both*
Billie - for the other te4/4 - think what TV is short for, or that awful te**gram people used to get during the war that said things like, 'Private Nelson killed in action.Stop. He died with glory. Stop.' Anagram of 'leet'.
jb - sorry.... 07 Feb: Characters from your favourite computer games (Anj) 08 Feb: Roadsigns (Anj) 09 Feb - Evanadine's Birthday - "what would you give evanadine for her b'day?" (Evanadine) 10 Feb - Mythical Creatures (Jera) 11 Feb - Brad & Angelina (Babbler) 12 Feb - David Bowie (TBear) 13 Feb - Musicals - Theatre/Film (Babbler) 14 Feb - Valentine's Day (Babbler) 15 Feb - Tarot Cards / Playing Cards (Babbler
jb - today is evening attire
Whoohoooo musical theater is coming up. Hmmmmmmm
JB -- the easiest way to find Babbler and the theme schedule is to go to the player rankings -- then use your browsers built in search function to search within the page for 'Babbler' -- then you can access her bag from there I figured that out only recently myself ;D
It's 7th Feb here in UK. 3:57am!
thanks for posting that the other evening wolfie..that's what i usually do..i was just 2 tired...8)
Wolfie - Seeing what you said about getting into Babbler's handbag I guess you haven't read back to when her profile address was posted and I forgot about the gaps that get put in web addresses posted on here, and ended up on a 'Playboy' mag site! LOL.
thanks, G! & ren Too muzzy tonight to remember that's what I usually do. Strained my back yesterday (taking out trash, of all things) and am on muscle relaxants and pain killers. mmmmm, can you say vicodin?
And what meds were YOU on THEN, Jac? (lol)
Hi ren, jacs, gw, jojo, mrpr, jb's, musicmom (looking very elegant!), billie... I just saw the theme list and I, well, smiled!
OUch! JB -- I can empathise with you -- I have a potential herniated disc --- only prob is that I seem to have a tolerance to vicodin :(
Hi MAB. Welcome back!
mab, fits you to a T! Hello, good to see you.
JBs - None! LOL. If you try to get playbabble with a gap in it you end up with 'playBOY'!:-/
Thanks Mab. I decided to go retro <g> Anyone got a clue for the second ta7/36? I have the stronger astronaut drink.
Jac -- LOL
So, for that, NOT reaching your potential is actually a good thing, ri...um, correct, GW? (whew, almost typed that one!)
ow mistress!!!! mab hey!!!!
I did that once, Jac, looking for "kitty" something on Google images. My eyes, my eyes!
JoJo: we tend to call the little pink or blue thing by our flags, handbags. They no doubt are little people, but they do look more like handbags, don't you think? If you click on a handbag, you get that person's profile.
JB -- actually it is more due to the fact that I can't afford to go to the doc to have it confirmed -- my copay isn't too bad, but its the deductible fees that get me at this point
Greetings, mab -- how are you this chilly evening?
You guys are all beyond me as far how to get my icon up there. But, guess I will try sometime in the next week or so.
Well, I'd rathe have been directed to 'PlayGIRL' magazine! :-)
Jojo - you click on the 'goPro' bit under your name in blue on the r/h side of your screen. Then you pay your $10 and you're in!
Yeah, G, those deducts can kill ya - any better on the new job? Or have to wait 3-6 mo's before getting on the insurance? LOL Jac!!!
*Jac now signs out and signs in under her non-pro partner's name to check that she is right.*
Okay, up to date...REFRESH!
Thx Jac: Printed off what everyone said as how to get an icon on babble. Will try next week, to try to figure out how to do it. I will figure it out, but it might take some time.
JB -- since the new job is via a temp agency they have their own docs to go to with probs -- but if picked up as a perm position they have a pretty good plan
Okay, JoJo. Got it now. It's a blue box on the right hand side above the grey box where you sign in. It reads ' Upgrade to Babble Pro! Babble Pro users can: * Use the Stats panel * Have buddy icons'
ge 4/6 ge 6/24 has any body got any clues for these
....and hi to saphyre. I hate to be a broken record, but doing yoga is like a miracle for aches and pains and things out of alignment, etc. I manage a knee that pops spontaneously out of joint and makes me drop like, like, a small sack of potatoes, with yoga, and arthritis too. I am problem-free if I do a little most days.
Woulfie - you're hoping for a perm position, rig...correct? (I've got to get off this grid, I'm so ready to type a word!)
Jac: Thx. Printed it off. Will get it down.
ge4/6 - A tax paid to the crown by English landholders under Anglo-Saxon and Norman kings. If you were feeling bad earlier, you might say to somone, 'I fe*T bad earlier.'
Absolutely Mab. Yoga has does wonders for my weight control, breath support, flexibility, and aches and pains. I'm a big yoga advocate.
ge 4/6 ge 6/24 has any body got any clues for these plz
jb...no typing....no typing...you are on vicodin....no typing - only chatting....8)
jbs - NO WORDS! Be a good girl now!
Okay all headed to bed. Have a great night.
thnxs 4 that clue do u ave 1 4 ge 6/24
Oh, but I have only 43 left to find, and all my hint sights on hi...top alert!
mab - just checked your profile - very clever! But where's the grid to figure the words????
ge6 - One that rules or manages. ge+ the re4 word for 'lease'.
mab --Glad to hear of your success w/yoga -- Kirsten has been bugging me for a while to try it, but since she doesn't either it tends not to happen -- it is so easy to come up with something else to do (like Babble) JB - you bet your sweet bippy I want it to turn permament! :D
sleep well mm...*)
<small voice> yes, mum. yes, mum. bad words, bad!
Sweet dreams MM. Dress your entrances with garlic to ward off colds and creatures of the night.x
I'm with you, G! Hey, what's a bippy? I could go for something sweet! In fact, BRB, have to feed the cats, and take nighttime dose.
G'nite MM -- sleep well (*hug*)
Night, musicmom!
I guess bippy is another word for ar4/4 (posterior)?
I have no idea what a bippy is -- it is just something my grandmother used to say :)
wasn't that a lugh-in word...you bet your sweet bippy?
I think you are correct, ren -- I have vague memories of that
Well, I think my guess is probably correct, Wolfie. I think you missed my question to you earlier about how everyone is? How's the new Mum doing? It's a big op she had - not so easy to recover from.
OK -- I am aggravated -- I have only 14 words left -- and I am stuck: re6/24, 7/40, 7/28
Pop down to the library, GW. Don't do anything that seems too difficult right now in yoga, if you manage to squeeze in some time. Don't push yourself too much -- as one yoga teacher would tell some of the men, 'yoga is not a competitive sport.' I do hope you become permanent (relatively) in your job - healthcare insurance is like gold.
pbr - you look in a black mood now. At least my eyes are open on my icon! LOL. re7/40 - what you might have to do to a fire, candle or cigarette if they went out.
Mab: Heard that yoga is also good for high blood pressure, like I have. I belong to a health club and a lot of the women are in the ladies locker room humming up the yoga that they learned in classes there. Is that right, high BP people can keep it down by Yoga?
Jac -- yes I missed it --- All are well, though Kristianna is beginning to manifest some minor jealousy behaviors since she keeps being told she can't do things she used to because of her new brother -- but she still loves him to bits Mom is making good headway on recovery, though anxious to return to pre op behaviours :)
mab -- will do... eventually, I promise! ;D
re7/28 - A person who lives on income from property or investments. Google that. Failing that, think MORE re4/4 (lease word).
I've put clues for the 2 re6/24's a few pages back.
is mamabear on =0
Bippy - Silly word used on the comedy variety ROWAN & MARTIN'S LAUGH-IN/NBC/ 1968-73. During one episode of the program, the audience got some insight as to what a "Bippy" was: Dick: May the Good Fairy sprinkle stardust on your bippy. Dan: Just a minute now. I've been meaning to ask you; what's a bippy? Dick: It's a baby bip. Dan: Then what's a bip? Dick: It's a big bippy. Dan: Are you sure? Dick: You bet your sweet bippy, I'm sure! The "Bippy" word later inspired the title of the Rowan & Martin film The Maltese Bippy (1969). Once Liberace said "I bet my sweet bippy and lost it!"
Wolfie - It's only natural, re Kristianna. Kirsten, too. Tell both to take things one day at a time.
Jacula -- I'll check back on the re6/24's -- I have one already. As for the black block -- I don't know how to fix that. I tried loading a picture, but that tied up my computer, and now, I am expressionless!!
lol funny =O lol
is grey still on
ace -- haven't seen Mamabear today
any1 like eminem
pbr - can you save a picture as a jpg and up load it?
ave u got any clues for el 5/18 el 4/5 plz be specific in the clues im no good wit clues
JoJo: I think that yoga is so much focused on the whole body and mind, that it's good for almost anything. In one class we had a wheelchair-bound woman, and she found it very helpful. But do check in with you doc first. I'm pretty sure all of it would be great for you (since you work out and are very active), but especially the breathing excercises, I should think, would be useful.
meeeeee
PBR - to clear your computer's constipation, try clicking on 'tools' and then 'options' and clearing your browser/s. Do that every day! Also go into 'tools' on your start menu and do a 'disk clean' and a 'defrag'.
o y isnt mamabear she likes to punish me lol she says not to listen to eminem
I am done :o -- I don't know how I pulled the at7 out of the ether, but I did and I am finished!!! Yayyyy!!!!
good jod grey
Hello :D
hey =D
yay - wolfie!!!
Hi zubie! (*Hug*)
my favorite computer game is marbles...so i guess i'll be a marble tomorrow....8)
Hooray GW! How many words in this one, anyway? :D How are you? How's the baby? How are your wife and daughter? Hi everyone.
zub!!! how are you????
Hi zubie!
Hi ren. I'm fine. Been busy. How are you?
ave u got any clues for el 5/18 el 4/5 plz be specific in the clues im no good wit clues plz
only 108 today, zubie And all are well or getting there --- life is tricky with 2 kids now, but lots of fun :)
*~*~*~*~FIREWWORKS FOR WOLFIE*~*~*~*~
6 more to go -- still stuck on the one re6/24 the first ta7/36
Mab: I am on meds from the Dr. and they really don't do much. I have to keep my BP down by taking the meds from my Dr. and also taking herbal pills. It was down to 128/76 this morning, but I know it wouldn't be that if I only took the Dr.'s meds. My Dr. knows I am also taking the herbal meds and she is fine with it. She also suggested Yoga.
zub - busy, busy, busy!!!
Wolfie - you and Kirsten now have 'one of each'. Life will be fun, hell, fun, hell, fun... glad you did it. That's life. Life's for enjoying. Be glad you did it!
care to share that at 7, gw??
I can imagine, GW. :) 108? I've not completed a single grid since I got back!
ren - we sound alike. :D
Leslie: think of an artist's loft, or studio, in french.
at7 - past tense of 'eat' + li4/4. Real definition is a workplace or studio for art or design.
Hi LA -- at7 - "A workshop or studio, especially for an artist or designer." -- I can't really come up with a better clue than the def to Google :)
Woulfie: Enjoy your two kids now, before they are teens. It gets more difficult when they are teens, but good training when they are young makes a big difference.
ooh, thanks folks.
Oh, and, just crowing a bit here before I trip over and fall off - I KNEW THAT AT7
OUCH!
That's great that your doctor mentioned yoga, JoJo! Do give it a try and see how you like it. I'd be interested to know.
Mab - you're the expert on yoga so you can explain that there are different types. For instance, the type that Madonna does would NOT be suitable for most. I leave the floor on this to you...
Okay, kitties fed, meds down, 40 words to go. Me & my sweet bippy are back! Yay, GW! I'll either be doing the happy dance of doneness with you, or the wobbly dance of medication in 20 minutes!
Are there any q words in this? I'm going to need all the help I can get. :) Anyone willing, that is and hugs to you.
Hi, zubie! No words start with Q, but several have the QU in them.
Ok, thanks JB. And hi to you too. :)
Got to watch 24 with my hubbie soon, so sooo long for tonite.
co6/30, cr7/44, ro5/16, ro6/27 all use the 'qu'.
later jojo...see you tomorrow!
zub -- we are here for you when you need us, as always :) also, you have mail ;)
Night, JoJo! (btw, good game on Sunday, lots of suspense!)
Thanks, Jac, I'm not down to my r's yet...
wow great clue, jacula! got 'em all right away :)
JB: Bad game on Sunday, I'm from the Seattle area. Bad refs. But Seahawks did the best they could and we are all proud of them.
Thanks Jacula. I had the cr but not the rest! (((Jacula))) Mail, GW? *forgets grid and whizzes off* ;D [I know that you're all here - reason why I like this place! :D]
for some reason i can't figure out the el 5/18??
finally got that last re6 -- I am now officially done.
JoJo, did they give the players a parade? They deserved one for sure!
Oooh I like the el5/18 - so poetic!
*~*~*~*~~*~FIREWORKS*~*~**~*~* ~*~ for pbr!
y/w, Zubie. pbr - if you're officially 'done', do we need to prod you with a skewer to check your juices are running clear? LOL.
congrats, pbr!!!
way to go pbr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Lol Jacula - euww!
el5/18 - a poem or song for a dead person.
JB: They had a big thing at Quest Field today for the team. Lots of people attended. I wanted to go, but I had to take my husband to a doctor's appt in Redmond at the Hospital. So couldn't make it. But, my heart was with them, and listened to all the broadcast on the way home.
Stay away from me with that prod, Jac, I don't want no el 5/18's sung for me tonight!
Thanks GW. :D (((GW)))
YW ((**zubie**))
Jo, with fans like you, they should make it back to the big game very soon!
LOL JBs! Congrats!
JB: Hopefully next year. Have to sign off. My husband just said 24 was on.
good nite all...i've got my dark marble for tomorrow....see you all then!!!
ooooh!! Pretty, ren! -- sleep well and good night ((**Hug**))
Hey, I think I added a picture -- kewl
'Night Ren.
pbr - you did! It's a seagull soaring high?
Jacula -- yeppers -- it's a picture I took last year while vacationing in Florida. I tried doing icons -- that is what messed me up.
Oh, Jacs, I have no idea what Madonna is up to! I'm almost sure it would annoy me. I've done Bikram yoga, which is conducted in an extremely hot room; it was fairly good for me, but I wouldn't do it again. Then there is a kind of aerobic, vigorous yoga that seems to defeat an entire aspect of yoga - wouldn't recommend it. Most forms of yoga are strenuous enough without extra heat or speed.
Night ren!
Time for some shuteye -- work comes all too early -- thanks for all the help --be safe
Ok. Hints for the te's please? I have just the 4/4
Mab - ashtanga yoga springs to mind, but I'm not sure if that's the standing on your head and breaking your back one -
Well, 20 words to go, but the meds won - I'm too muzzy for the r's & t's. See you tomowwroowww (yup, muzzy like I said!)!
te 4 4 - TV, or old war message with 'stops'. First part of both words. te 6 18 - te + 2nd re4/4 te 4 4 - the usual Babble seabird after the er4. te 7 28 - same seabird + past tense of 'eat'. te 5 10 - same seabird with 2nd vowel in vowel list at the end.
Good night, JB -- feel better, sleep well, dream deep! (*Gentle Hug*)
'Night JBs *Gently tucks JBs into bed*.
Oooh thanks Jac! Great clues. :D
How are you doing, zubie?
79 now, GW. Think I'll make it in time?
I had a greater deficit last night and finished with minutes to spare ;D
You're going to have to be pdq Zubie.
Ok. Clues for the en's please? :D
If you have time to type any words you need, Zubie, I'll try to clue you in pdq, too.
1st en5/10 - growing outward or, a relative on ones mother's side.
2nd en5/10 - to go in.
1st en -- en + past tense of eat
3rd en5/10 - no def. en + first part of the name of a coffee liqueur - *** Maria.
pdq, Jacula? *puzzled*
(anagram of 'ait')
pdq- pretty damned quick! Don't wast time on that. Find your missing words!
Ok got the first two en's. The third eludes me
3rd en -- en + spanish for aunt
3rd en has same first 3 letters as the 2nd (to go in) - add 3rd vowel and 1st vowel in vowel list to that.
Thanks, GW. Got that one. :D The spanish did it.
Wolfie - I see you are back again! No time to chat about that now, though. We need to get Zubie all greyed in on the grid.
ne 5/12?
yay! High school spanish finally came in handy :D
It would, GW, had I learnt it in HIgh School ;D
ne -- under -- bene5
Also a town in S. Wales.
anagram of 'thane'.
Yes. Got it. Thanks!
20 to go in 10 minutes.
Zubie - let's go for it! What do you need?
an 5/10
an5/10 - to anoint with oils.
anagram of 'e, Neal!'
drop the g from the next an5 - then add e
Next one?
Hooray. Great clue. Got it.
ge 6/24
The first three co's are missing.
ge6/24 - ge + re4/4 (lease)
actor richard ge** + nt
co4 - hairstyle. co + Rudyard Kipling's 2-word poem title. A word meaning 'what??'
Ok. Got one of them. Now the co 5 and 6
Got the ge. I'm not going to make it I think.
co4/8 -- change 1st 2 letters of na4/7
co's - An exterior angle of a wall or other piece of masonry. Google! Sounds like a piece of metal money and another with an 'e' at the end.
co 5 + 6 --- both sound like coin
The first ta 7 and the ta 8
co- pretend you're spelling trigonometry terms wrong, sine, co****, stick an e on for the 6
gotta go -- Seb just gave me a toxic diaper I have to chage :D
Never say never, Zubie! Keep on keeping on! OH, and don't read this till you've got the words.
Thanks for the co clues GW. :D Got them
ta 7, almost sounds like an african city (drop the s), ta 8--if i never use conditioner, my hair would be even ta**** than it is (comparative suffix)
li 6/18 and li 5/14
Okay Wolfie, Harp's helping now. Gawd! This is like a torch race!
Got the ts
li 5/14, hybrid large feline
li6 - add 'ne' to the word before.
li5 - sounds like tiger.
