AAARRGGHH! -- missed by one!! -- almost had it too! Missed the grog!
how'd you do Mr. Wolf?
flop!
oh you are quick mrp!!!
Missed by 8 . . .sooooo frustrating
I was told today I was quicker than the dead! How do I take that!??
you did extremely well, GW for the short amount of time you had!!!! A very good job, ol' chap!
well done anyhow GW, I think my computer has a delay btw (in case no one can tell at this point!)
not sure, mrp.... but doesn't sound like a compliment!
Thanks for all the great help --- I got a lot further than I thought I would -- I figured I would miss by at least 20 (the fact that Seb stayed asleep the whole time didn't hurt either ;D )
any guesses on word count?
okay, I just stuck around to help GW and others so off to bed for me!
GW .... now you know what I whispered in his ear!!!
nite kristinc
G'nite kristi -- thanks again (*Hug*)
later kristin!!! sleep well
LOL, Mama - (*Hug*)
good nite kristinc & baby to be!!!! sleep well & sweet dreams!!!! Thanks for all the help!!!
Hi everyone! :) At first glance, looks like this grid could use a few more r's ;)
179
put me down for $10... I guess 145
179 and the breakdown is remarkably similar to yesterdays :)
oh... ren already had it!!
*Hint* Dan Quayle (politician) would have a doozy with this one.
cute icon, rennie!
i'll take that 10 bucks - as gettie lee sez - hey 10 bucks is 10 bucks!!!
mooog... I don't see doppleganger
f7/48
It's a hint fo po 6/21 . . a word someone can't spell.
f8/65
p7/40
I got the spud!
*mamabear whispers to GW..... which corner you start with for the f8?*
*whispers back* -- lower left
r7/28
My leg is numb -- Seb is still sleeping :D
o4/6 matches yesterdays theme
have a good night all.
morning all -- mr. p, like your icon. I found mine through google -- it's a morphed photo of both their faces.
g'nite doxy... sleep well & dream deep!
Sleep Well, doxy (*Hug*)
later doxy!!!
29 a's???????????????? Cruel.... just cruel.....
ch12... they look the same as eachother!!
chalk it up to another unfair Enable/Babble event: won't accept "realtor"
I don't like this puzzle -- the e isn't in the right spot and we need another one!
I know - scarey! They both have faces that are very similar in bone structure, so morphed together is just ... very, very strange.
you're right, kris10!!! and that REALLY is a word!
A's luv you mama.... there's 30 p's..why do they put peas in my chicken pot pies????
ch12... 'they' look like vanessa williams!
because there has to be something green or they would look colorless!
ch12 - they also look like a daughter of a friend of mine......
and broccoli gives you gas!
ohmigosh, you're right! I wonder if their baby will grow up to look like this? Frankly, the morph makes them look (searches memory for that word that means unisexual) uh... you know what I mean.
LOL wolfie...and peas don't.....but why? why do they put peas in my chicken pot pie???
grey... what have I given my poor children!!
because if they didn't, it would be 'ot ie' and who would want to order that in a restaurant? ;D
hermaphrodite... that is what they should call their baby!!
LOL, GW!
LOL wolfie!!!! you have answered the riddle!!!
Gotta go -- Kristianna is crying -- something she never does in the middle of the night :\
later wolfie....
... and her nickname could be aphrodite to be kinder!
hope everything is ok... GW.....
aphrodite pitt...?????
ANDROGENOUS! That's the word -- meaning no particular sex at all, which is odd considering that individually they are both considered very sexy. Mmm. Interesting. Okay, back to our regularly scheduled programming :)
OK Mr. P I must admit, I like yours better -- especially the aphrodite name!
... JOLIE-Pitt
good nite, all!!!! See you tomorrow! (or should I say "later today"!!!) happy babbling!
sounds like a 'happy under-arm'!
B Jolie
Good night everyone. :)
later mama....are you leaving us in de pitts???

Hi Ren!
Hi Elmer, Pres, and Leslie !
The girls are here and staying!!
woooo pajama party!
hey quick! i would call the brad jo pitt..olive pit, peach pit, or cherry pit, or smiley jo
Is it just me or does it seem like you should be able to spell foreplay on this grid? I keep trying. LOL
how about cheating pitt
leslie - i like you banner!!!
or tar pitt
there are actually team jolie and team aniston t-shirts. i don't own one, but it works as an icon :)
where do you get icons?
I make alot of my own
oh i just typed it in to google images to get it
go to google images and search...or take a picture, eastern blue draws her pictures
Damien Omen Pitt... or Chastity Jolie
ooooh you don't want to see my drawings. I couldn't draw a stick figure! Thanks for the tips
haha chastity jolie
hey refresh - who does this look like???
Brad Pitt on heat??
bald baby pitt
I see the resemblence now!!
if it's a boy, it should be Vince LOL
you'll need to con vince me on that one....8)
Girl: Rachel Boy: Ross
Man, I'm having no fun with this puzzle AT ALL! Like pulling teeth...
it is a toughie. i blame all the vowels.
i think i'll blame the p's
Boy.........who cares Girl........who cares
boy - p girl - p
Kristianna just had her first nightmare -- took a min to figure it out, but I did -- I read her a story, sang her bedtime songs again and all is right in her world again :)
good going dad!
grey... that is not uncommon... My daughter got bad at one stage, really screaming!
Then she started sleep walking... opened the fridge one night, squatted and peed in the vege cooler!
I've actually been expecting it, mrp -- just not tonight --- you know the one night I am finding the big words before others beat me to it ;D
oh dear mr. p... when i was an RA in college one of the... let's just say, very under the influence girls mistook a guy's room for the bathroom and used a chair in his room as the toilet in the middle of the night!
another f 7/48
I had a sleep over party at a friends hous well ... my best friends dad was sleep walking, came into her room, opened the cupboard, and peed in it!!! We killed ourselves laughing!!! He never came to sports day again!
hope there was nothing of value in the cabinet!
it's the P's isn't it......
LOL Ren! Just her shoes!!
better go get dinner for the troops! See you later!! (wave)
Peace mrP
toodles, mrp -- feeding Seb now -- once he is asleep again, I get to as well :)
p8/55
Hail and hello... hope everyone is well...
we're being good blaze....8)
Hi Blaze -- yes indeed we are
that is good to hear...
Ah -- back in my regular skin :) *refresh* not going with the theme today ;)
I did not check it out... what is the theme today ??

I give up in disgust - will come back in the morning to see what some sleep can do for my brain... 'night all!
Nite krys
later krys.....
theme is "BradAngelina JoliePitt" Bye krys (*hug*)

hmmm it seems to help the game if one can keep the fingers in the right place when typing... LOL
LOL

Oh my to late to babble. My body is exhausted.... must be off.... see you tomorrow.....((Seb)) and all

wicked grid, today?
Morrrrrning, all :)
morning sprite
morning
morning sprite and elmer :D :D
Hi :) How's the grid today? Found a 6 right away, but now only small ones.
I have 90 so far and they are all 4, 5, and 6's It's slow going for me
most words are straightforward, but there's a few tricky ones to slow you down...
i've been watching a t-rex doc...so i keep losing my words....
21, 2 6s and for the rest only small ones. Looks like a rather tough one today!
only one 7 so far...
What's the team today? I like guessing, but sometimes... is it faces?
it's brad and angelina...
...who I find completely uninteresting...
i'm a bald pitt
Ah... not too inspiring ;) Argh, 3 8s and 8 7s and I haven't found a single one of them yet!
:) found my first 7.
71 words and still nothing above 6. I am not impressed by myself today ;)
f 8/65
f7.
It would probably help if I could stop seeing 'frontal' all the time. Well, actually I am having fun. At least I know there are 11 big words there that I will find somewhere today... the hunt continues :)
F7/48! :D The one that's a combo with 6/33. There is hope for me ;)
p6/27 then alt sp for p7/40
Hello everyone!
Hi SweetTooth! Ho Hum, I only have a P6/21 so far. Thanks for the tip :)
hey ho hum and sweet tooth....
nice p7/36 - paragon of chivalry...
hi Ho Hum and SweetTooth :D :D
Sprite, did you notice that you can get the F 7/48 from the upper right corner and the bottom left? Also R 7/28 from the bottom left and the middle right.
Not yet, SweetTooth, I am really being stupid today. Not to mention blind. Sherb, now I want to have 'paragon' too! :P
nice sherb!
I just tried 'optain'. Time for coffee, I think.
p7/40 and p8/55 - things of no importance...
shertb, that clue went straight over my head.
*sherb...sorry for the typo. I shouldn't try to type this early.
Found the chivalry 7 :) :)
another p8/55 - area of land
woo, my final P uses the Z... :)
Some strange words there in that P-department. P7/32 too. Starts very cold.
p5/22 with a z in
Sherb, is the P 8 related to the P 7/40 that is thick soup?
One P8 is, only needs one letter inserted.
mab will like that 5p w/ a z
SweetTooth = no, it's sort of related to the p4 and 5 that are about peeling fruit and veg... but different meaning...
Related only in appearance, I mean, not in meaning.
Thanks for the help, finally got it.
Do you have F8/65? It is similar.
the f8/65 is a word I come across in my job, believe it or not. I have the p that is a thick soup, but the things of no importance and the area of land elude me.
oh well, time to get dressed and do Saturday things... later all :D
later sherb....i should either finish my report...or go to sleep - only....i don't want to- so there!!!
Sprite, how was your daughter's birthday party?
Bye sherb! Angelsong, they are a bit odd indeed. The area of land-P is (in form) an extension of the soup. Double one for the 7, then insert one for the 8. The things of no importance are no common words. Try this: use the first P5/12. Then take E5/14, change last letter and make an overlay with the P5. That gives you P8/55. Then play with the ending to make it into the P7/40.
SweetTooth: a great success! Daughter and guests were really enthusiastic, as was husband, and we all made beautiful things. How were things on your end?
Or wait... yours is still to come... or was it mrP's? I am confused, I think... sorry!
it is mine sprite, and still to come
Sprite, Glad to hear it was a success! The weather has been beautiful lately which could not have come sooner because I was about to pull my hair out after a month of rain. I'm from California and it was finally getting to me. My hubby is in San Francisco this weekend so I'm babbling the night away.
still no babanon stats... will have to go to bed and get the early edition of babble... see you all then!! BYE (wave)
I am single too this weekend, my love has taken the kids on a canoe trip :) Time to babble for mom. Glad to hear the weather is improving. MrP, sorry again and sleep well!
Bye mrp!
Sprite, are you enjoying having the house to yourself? Canoeing sounds like fun! I'll have to try it some time.
sprite...you lost me completely, I'm afraid. I still need the E5/14
SweetTooth: oh yes, I love being alone for a while. Used to go canoeing too, it is wonderful. So very peaceful, seeing nature from the water. Can't really go anymore since the birth of my daughter, so they go with dad and I enjoy some peace and quiet at home. Angelsong: they are really hard to give clues for, sorry. E5/14 is a fungus.
just found the e5/14, before your clue, sprite
Okay, I will try another approach, let's see if we can take it from here: First part: 2 letter word for dad. Second part: behind, backside, minus one vowel (= 3 letters) Last part: other word for disappeared, minus last letter (= 3 letters). That is the 8. For the 7, make greek plural ending.
WTG Angelsong :)
P 7/40 & related P 8/55 - a composition derived from a larger work. 2nd P7 - alternate spelling of thick soup, add another t.
I got them, Sprite!
Do you have a clue for the p 7/36?
Yeah! They are strange, don't you think?
I also need the p 7/32. Any help would be appreciated.
dalmatian: someone gave a nice clue: paragon of chivalry. Think loyal follower.
sorry, i don't have that one yet.
P7/32: object that results when an electron in the conduction band of a crystalline insulator or semiconductor deforms the lattice in its vicinity. (Now you know!) Start with the P5/12 "from a very cold area". Then use "not off" as ending.
Sprite, I nearly choked trying to pronounce those P's.
LOL! Glad I am not the only one who's got difficulty with them.
thanks sprite! still need two more p's.....ugh!
Thanks! Wow, I hope you looked up that definition and did not just have it at the tip of your tongue! lol
Dalmatian: I even had to google for its def :)
Well, that makes me feel a bit better.
I can hardly wait for dinner tonight. I am making homemade enchiladas.
I always feel proud when my habit of trying all endings on all words results in a new word :D :D Costs a lot of 'oopses', but sometimes it pays off.
*hops on a plane and joins Angelsong for dinner*
Sweet Tooth: can you give another clue for the p7/40 and 8/55?
LOL, Sprite..you are more than welcome. I love to cook, and I love making Tex-mex.
what time is dinner? :-)
You will have a babble meal tonight, Angel :D
funny thing is, making enchiladas looked easy when I watched someone do it..but they always kind of scared me for some reason. Then, I found a recipe I could work with, and no more fear.
Sounds great! :) Got to go for now, happy hunting and thanks for the great company :)
Sprite: I have the thick soup, with the double consonants in the middle. Still need the p that is an area of land, I think.
Insert a letter right after the P!
P 7/40 - start with Pa 5/12 add the the abrev. for the state of Georgia. For the P 8/55 change the ending to not off but **.
ty! got it now
Oh good!
could someone give another clue for p 7/36 and p 8 55 thanks
I've just found the pa 7/36 - first three letters - word meaning friend or chum, vowel then three letters meaning noise
thanku haz,i see your on early today
The pa8/55 - use pa5/12 (one who peels vegetables) combined with first three letters of word meaning away or disappeared
I'm 'redeeming the time' while my daughter gets ready for us to go shopping. For groceries, nothing exciting!
im waiting for my other half to get her butt out of bed to go into town ourselves n then go for a game of squash
Squash sounds energetic - maybe she's conserving energy for the day ahead!
its a new fitness thing for us so we look good when be go to antigua for two weeks in september
plus we watched that blair witch rubbish last night n that didnt fin while 1ish
Ooooh! At least you're leaving yourselves plenty of time to get in shape rather than trying to 'lose two dress sizes in a week' the way some magazines advocate.
its the other half who needs to loose two dress sizes maybe a few inches for me(like say 12")
Good morning, all! Stuck halfway!! Where is brandyjack? Does he think he gets a break on weekend? people are depending on him, ya know...
For pity's sake don't let her read back in the chat log! 22 years on I can still remember my husband telling me that if I wasn't careful I would end up the same shape as my mother. Well - he's now the same shape as his father (very overweight) and I'm NOT the same shape as my mother was.
tell me about it jera ive been trying since 8 GMT
yes same as me haz im the same shape as my dad and he mums alot smaller thean our lass itll soon change tho
So did anyone watch the Olympics last night? the Opening Ceremony was great! Unfortuantely, I couldn't stay up for the actual lighting... things ran really late this year it seems... Or am I just getting old??
Jera - I watched bits and pieces. Pavarotti was fantastic. What a voice!
its was on quite early here theres only about 2 hours diff from turin, couldnt be bothered to watch it anyway
I want a dress like the Parade of Nations sign girls had... how cool was that?
My daughter barely stayed awake for USA to come through... she was struggling...
I liked the way the dresses moved and yet didn't move if you know what I mean. Very structured.
sorry guys goto go for a bit,got company thats just turned up av a gud day
You are lucky sandr... I would have loved to watch at a decent hour... we recorded it anyway sor my son could watch, he loves red so he will be pleased with the show...
Bye, sandr!
where can i find word list today folks
Not posted yet, apparently. We're feeling abandoned by BJ.
Right, have to go and do the grocery shopping. I'll be back later. Finally found the elusive p word with z in. pl5/22 - sounds like small pieces of land or storylines.
clue for the p 6/27 please Thanks
p6/27 container for garden plants +how old you are
thanks macadam
hi sis, are you well?
Does anyone have a clue for the f 8/65?
amorning ferrari.Yes thanks.Waiting for Lotti then it`s a shopping trip.Brighouse I expect.
all I can see today is ferrari and lola, and what's wrong with realtor, it's a perfectly good word as is po6 with an r on the end, it's a gardener I think
I saw you on the grid first thing.I blinked and you were gone. ;0)
Jacob ,Esau and a mess of po....
impressive mac
Methodism in the valleys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there are too many words that are nearly there in this grid
Very true .This is a BJ day at a very early stage.

awesome trotters, thanks
It's all I've done so far! just me and a2z for the last hour. Am I sad or what. lol
I haven't resorted to that yet, got the last f thanks to you :)
Yes, I'll put it away now and see what I get, just saw all those f's and wanted them out of the way. I hope someone else will come up with the 30 p's eventually(pretty plse).
elmer that f 8 isn't a very nice word, it's the act of rubbing up against some one to get sexual gratification
trotters, still need 7 p's
sorry, meant you dalmation, have you found it yet?
Ferrari, I still need 13 p's and stalled. I'll wait with baited breath for you to finish yours.
Was someone asking for the f8? fr8/65 ... drop the p from the po7/40 & add 'fr'.
Oh my!!! I hadn't looked at the definition!
sorry, the log has frozen, I see you had it well in hand.
Angelsong: I was reading back thru the log, and I just have to ask - if you come across the f8/65 in your job, um... what is it exactly that you do for a living?
Good morning everyone! Is there anyone around who could give me an idiot's guide (and I mean idiot) to using my own photos for icons? I have a Mac, and my photos are stored in iphoto. I have no idea how to do this and am very new to the whole digital photo thing.
Have I lost my mind, or are Brandyjack's stats way off?
eva , if you go into your profile I think it tells you what to do, you need option 2 then my pictures file and it downloads for you
ja314, they're yesterdays!
Okay. I feel better. I was trying to find words that simply couldn't be there and then I realized that there were other words that weren't on the list. So how many words are there today?
179,4x82,5x61, 6x25,7x8,8x3
Thanks!
ax29,dx7, ex6, fx28, gx16, ix1, lx11, nx4, ox6, px30, rx19, tx21, ux1
you're welcome
Ferrari, have you finished the p's yet? I'm just 4 short and 6 a's short
2xp, 6xa short, and 39 to go altogether
I still need 60 altogether, think I'll have a go at the r's and t's. Can't see those n's.
Ive got 3 xn, ni5/12, no4/4, no5/10
Thx - I was missing one of the no's. For the other one think WWII
Thanks Ferrari
and thanks amanda, n's done!
thanks amanda
YW - on to the o's, still missing 2
i'm missing 1 o but have og4/6, op4/5, or4/4, or5/14, or4/4
it's an on6/24 - only just found it myself
Great! You're missing an animal. Without looking it up, I tink it's a funny looking horse.
Of course! we've had that one before. lol
Just missing 1 d, any hints? da4 7 da6 27 da4 5 da5 12 di4 5 di 4 5
I'd tried the citrus fruit but forgot the anagram, so obvious
... or (having looked it up) "an ancient and medieval stone-propelling siege engine" - didn't know that!
another da4/7
they start with 2x 4/7 trotter
there's another da4/7 at the beginning
Hello, Chris, nice to see you and thank you.
You're welcome. Just popped in to size up today's grid.
Of course, thanks everybody, missed the not very nice word for a foreign person
Anyone got the 3 r's from the bottom row?
have you got the ro4/4 that means bad plus a consonant?
I've got 3 r's from the bottom row, but they could also be made in different directions, so they may not be the ones you're looking for ... does that make any sense?
Oh, forgot that one Ferrari, it's an old favourite isn't it. Yes it makes sense Amanda, the ro4/4 list is one but on our stats comes from the right hand side
Just got ro4/7 ferrari, Mr Harris from down under
thx, tried to explain that way to an American once, she couldn't get it
He's not big over there then.
I wouldn't have gotten it from that either, being American as well. But it's on my mental list of Babble-Words
just big down under! and here ooooh
amanda do you know why realtor isn't a babble word?
the bottom left R is a word that is used to mean throw up. Yuck :)
I typed my fingers silly trying to get it accepted, but no matter how many times I tried, Babble just wouldn't take it. Only thing I can figure, after checking the definition to make sure I wasn't imagining words, is that Enable thinks its a proper noun. Who knows?
I think realtor is considered a proper noun for babble. In my book, that makes lawyer, doctor, etc. proper nouns. But Babble takes those.
strange that it's a proper noun
Enable works in mysterious ways. What's in it is as strange as what's not in it. I'm missing one e - can anyone help? I've got: an old-fashioned exclamation old-fashioned impartial latin for thus a fungus a mistake
when you work you ea** a living
Amanda, have you got ea4/4 to make money working
oops, sorry, ferrari beat me to it
any clue for the last fe 4/7 please
duh... I thought I was stupid when I'd missed the mistake one ... thanks!
since when is "realtor" not a word?
fe4/7 a frondy plant
Im missing the exclamation!
Hi all .doesnt bj love us anymore?
rosalind, it's a type of p5/12
oh, and refresh.
Go down the log a little Hurshy and you'll see the discussion about realtor
oh, sorry, you just discussed realtor. :)
thank you I have it now
hurshy we've just been talking about that, it's capitalised maybe
no way is it a proper noun. that's crazy, it should be in here.
complain to dr god, and mention sideshoot and portside and resat and resit and and and :)
I hear the exclamation being said by a man with a walking stick and stiff upper lip at a country manor. But maybe that's just me. If that doesn't help it's e4/7 at the top of the list.
lol - well, he reads all the chat anyway, doesn't he?
fr8/65 french for "rubbing"
the lipstick tree is there again
lipstick tree?
...oops! Not the top, it's the one after making money
I'm missing the fungus!
oooh yes lipstick tree with a weird alternative spelling none the less!
ah yes amanda, thanks
Oh d***. I hate the lipstick tree. I can't ever get it spelled right. It's an6, right? The fungus is thus + a consonant
does anyone have a first letter count? if not, does anyone have the count for p, r, t, u and z? i work backwards.
trotters add a letter to the latin one
ar7 Amanda!!!!
lalo, I posted one at 7.18
thus + a consonant? there is no thus...
Thanks Atalante! Got it - that was my missing 7 as well.
thus = er4/6 Hurshy
Hurshy, latin for thus + a consonant
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh
thank you. i missed it the first time i scanned.
guess i'm a little thick today.
fo7/48
It's Saturday morning - one is allowed to be thick
une -are you bragging, or asking for a clue?
just throwing out a 7 i just stumbled onto :-)
well, thanks cause i picked up both that 6 and 7 as a result. :)
got to go for a bit, see you later
If BrandyJack only knew how much I miss him today :)
i must head out for a bit as well
wait, what, there's no list? ????
oh MAN....
only yesterday's list
not yet
golly gee.
I have really come to rely on that list to help know what point count and second letters I need
can someone tell me how the 't' thats 2nd on the 3rd row..can make a word that the othere 't's cant?
Yeah, scary, huh? I don't think I've ever finished one without a list! My challenge for the day. Any help for the l's? So far I've got: beer 2 forms of reclining country short for what we speak "a globular water bottle used in Asia"
rolin haven't found that t yet but i sure have been trying LOL
amanda...while i try to work your clues out for the l's...i have a musical term for slow
afternoon all :D rolin - that T is everything...
aknitter...i used my logical partner to eliminate options..lol..its a french aunt with a vowel on the end
amanda, big and bigger (anagram of the beer)
amanda it's lo5/10 space between thethe eye and bill of a bird
la5/14 in music, very slow
ty rolin
another duh for me on the big and bigger - don't you just hate it when those really obvious ones escape you? I'll have to monkey-type for the bird one, not being fluent in avian anatomy...
ra6/21 Jurassic Park!
monkey..bird...beats me...can i have a lexicon kinda hint please..lol
glottal, garotte and garland would be such good words... if only they were there...
not to mention gallant and pregnant!
ra6/24 kind of sleeve
thanks, fit1--missed that one
Yay fit1! Thanks!
the sleeve was my first word, must be the knitter in me LOL
aknitter, I knit too in my dark past. LOL I am still looking for the Jorassic park clue
think dinosaur and another word for them
da6 fo6 x 2 la6 pa6 pl6 po6 x 2 ra6 re6 other 6's?
fit1ra6,knock knock +little hill
Don't know if anyone mentioned the po7..kind of soup
yes, it's been mentioned and fyi there's a po8 that's the same word with an extra "t"
hello all....... see you couldn't bring yourself to put up pic of the 'happy' couple either macadam...
wow Macadam. Thanks. Got it
Yay! finally got the L-bird-thingy. It sort of sounds like hair coloring "because you're worth it" minus the middle vowel
ra6 x 2 , fo6 x 3 fl6
thanks, macadam!
Hi tbear.Beauty and not the beast in this case.
une....im confused with the soup po...i have both but for 6 and 7?
we should have made today's theme Jennifer...
une... also ag6/24 & an6/24
po8 with the double letter? I thought the po7 was the double letter and po6 the single letter? There must be a different variant that I haven't got. Hmmm. *looks*
oops, sorry--mustn't rely on memory!!
Poor lovely Jennifleur......
Morning all Went to look for the list in bab anon and it's yesterdays, is there anywhere else I should be looking for it?
Sherb that would have been preferable.
po 6/27 - cooking untensil plus how old you are po7/40 - cooking utensil, beverage plus how old you are
HELP I can't find the little hill ra6,knock knock +little hill
there isn't a list yet, Sheryl... we have to look for words... :D
There's a pa7/40 and pa8/55 if anyone's needing a clue.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,lol Does anyone know how many words we are looking for
i'm putting out my hand begging for pa clues haz
Sherb...good choice pic eh!!
I have the 6 and 7, but UNE mentioned an 8. I can't find a po 8 in the same family as the other two. SIGH
179 words
Sheryl....179
aknitter, the ra6 is a dinosaur or what they fly on Battlestar Galactica
ty
i apologized for my sin--let's please move on!!
the only 8 i have is fr8/65
mornin babblers!!
the P with an extra T is the po7... and it makes a pl8...
morning, eva!
ah, i see there's more than one of us on the other side of this split :)
hi evanadine :D
thanks, sherb!
i actually quite like angelina jolie... but i thought "freaked out jen" would be funnier...hehe
sherb - how can it make a pl? i'm puzzled
Jen would feel very supported today....Sherb I'll change my pic, there are loads of other good ones
it can make a pl if you add an L after the P...
As in an area of land
FWIW: ea4/4 eg4/7 eg4/6 er4/6 er5/14 er5/10
seeing as everyone else seems to have Jen, I've now got Angie. really only cos I've drawn her and not Jen though!
lol, of course, i thought you meant plural
haz - could we have actual clues on those long pa's?
I have pl8. thanks for the clues. Can someone give me a clue for the other 2 8's? What letter do they begin with so I can stop spinning my wheels here :)
fr8/65
Oh wait, are they both pa
oh, got the pa7
pa 8 clue please
oh, no i don't, i have a 7/36, haz mentioned a 7/40
Does anyone know what the 2 missing 7's are? I have: ar7/28 fl7/48 fo7/4 8 pa7/36 po7/32 po7/40
last d, please? da4/7 da4/7 da6/27 da4/ 5 da5/12 di4/5
well chris haz mentioned a pa 7/40
another di4/5
there are 2x di4/4
pa7/40
thanks, chris
oops 4/5
pa7 and pa8 begin the first pa5/12 - sound like variants of paragon, but mean things of no importance...
and a ro7/28
got it, thanks!
ro7/28 Chris.sorry the last one "escaped" I don`t have a definition for pa7 .
one group: pa 4/5 = to peel skin, as with veg. pa 5/12 = one who does the pa 4/5ing pa 7/40 = pa5/12 + retail clothing chain (drop last letter) pa8/55 = pa5/12 + has left, or is away (drop last letter)
Thanks everyone - now just have to hunt them down!!
chris, you have a clue for that po 7/32?
po7/32 - very cold place + not off, but **
and macadam, can i hit you up for a clue on that ro7?
thanks you guys, you're all the best!
ro 7 -- one who spins around
ro7: many athletes injure their ro***** cuff
The pa7 & 8: 7: "pa* for the course" + your er4/6 with a different vowel on the end 8: ditto + your er5/14 with a different consonant on the end Hope it helps
ugh, fish. having po6, i really should have seen that.
hurshy ro a muscle which helps turn part of the body, or one that twists .
you guys are the best. Got the pa's
somebody mentioned an ag6? Any clues?
thanks, amandacath!
ag6 relating to great pain
ag6/24 = a + gl 5/14
there must be TWO ag6's then
there are, une
Glad to help! As I'm picking everyone else's brain, I figure it's only fair to share. Still working on the painful ag...
found both now, thanks
i think im regressing in my "older" age... just made myself PBJ and a glass of milk for breakfast/lunch...haha
think "The Ag*** and the Ecstasy"
got yours as well, Une, thanks :)
Got it - thanks all!
i'm missing two f's, one top and one bottom - anyone want to compare lists? fa 4 7 fe 4 7 fe 5 16 fe 4 7 fl 4 8 fl 5 16 fl 6 27 fl 6 27 fl 7 48 fo 4 8 fo 4 7 fo 6 27 fo 4 7 fo 6 33 fo 7 48 fo 4 7 fo 5 20 fo 6 33 fr 4 7 fr 8 65
fa5/16
hurshy - you're missing a 4/9 and a 4/8 after the 4/7 at the bottom
fa5/20 right at the top of the list - and Une just posted the other one
fa5/20 & fe4/7
another fa4/7
omg, i didn't even see that i'm missing 6 others from the bottom right!
Here's the whole list from an earlier post fa5 20 fa4 7 fa5 16 fa4 7 fe4 7 fe4 7 fe5 16 fe4 7 fl4 8 fl5 16 fl6 27 fl6 27 fl5 16 fl7 48 fo4 8 fo4 7 fo6 27 fo4 7 fo6 33 fo7 48 fo4 7 fo6 33 fo5 20 fo6 33 fr4 7 fr4 9 fr4 8 fr8 65

stats posted.
how about a shorter list - who has all the O's?
{{{brandyjack}}} thank you :)
hi BJ :D
woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
now to find some coffee.........
Thanks brandyjack
Bless you BJ.
The o's: a monster a wild donkey a gemstone of the mouth body part or4/4 (dunno - dictionary says it's an acronym)
Brandy, my hero (sigh)
always miss those gn words...
can't figure out the wild donkey
hurshy it's on6/24
i know it's on 6/24 but i can't figure it out anyway
oh, sorry - anagram of a citrus fruit?
anyone wanna come over + give me a belated birthday gift of cleaning my house whil i stay in bed??
Hurshy... on + ag4/6
evanadine - we're kind folks, but we're not that kind...
thanks - got it - it's amazing how many anagrams of that citrus fruit exist in this puzzle
hehe...was worth a shot!
Hursy - there are more? bring 'em on, pleeeeez
no, i mean, there are lots of anagrams, but they aren't words that count. i just meant i monkeyed a lot before i hit the right one.
Oh, that's a shame. There are a couple that are almost-anagrams of it, though.
second ag5/14?
take the second letter out of the an6/24 (goat/rabbit)
*waves* Hi everyone!
Angel, goats wool without the 2nd letter, then add a vowel to the end for a 6/24
hi Miyavi :D
trish, what's the other an6/24?
Hey Sherb! how are you?
hi miya!
have those....I need the ag before the 6/33.
Hey Hurshy ^^ sup, homie? :)
the Greek marketplace. You're back, Angelsong. I was reading thru the log earlier and you mentioned you get the f8 in your job, and I just had to ask...um, what is it that you do? And is it legal? :-)
oh, not much. wow, i'm a homie now.
lol...yup :D
there's a great a5 that sounds like the losing presidential contender in 2000...
Hee hee - thanks Sherb!
great Miyavi... belated happy birthday to you :D
my job is very legal; I am a social worker; I take reports of abuse/neglect to children/elderly/disabled persons for a state agency.
Thanks Sherb! ^^ Wow, Angelsong...that's really admirable!
anyone - the an 6/24 other than the sweater wool?
sorry, Hursh ... an + la5/14 without the 'r'
I"ve been at my job since 1998, which is a LONG time for this kind of work.
Ahhh, that would explain it! I hoped you weren't getting paid to do the f8, or worse, have it done to you!
danke schein
did i spell that right?
nope! my job is to document the f8 when someone else has done it, so it can be stopped.
not sure, Hurshy *has done German in school for three years* could be danke shon?
Hurshy - almost. Danke schön (or schoen, for those of you who don't have a German keyboard). That an6 is actually a German word - didn't know English had taken it on
danke schoen
Oops! The log doesn't accept foreign letters. That's supposed to be an o with two dots over it
... a famous song...
see, i thought it had an o. but i googled it my way and things came up so i thought...
Good for you Angelsong! f8 is definitely only for consenting adults!
aaah, I love German. Any language where the word for toilet is 'scheissenhausen' - literally "house of poo" cand never be bad
Mi its Scheisshaus lol
*bangs head against desk* bah! almost there! thank you ^^ I always thought the gist of german was to add -en onto the end of every word!
Closer to shi*house - but I like your version better Miyavi (and yvo's right)
done. that got much easier after BJ posted. :)
Amandacath, shxxhouse ran through my mind first XD
all about f/8 how about a clue please
I've just finished too Hurshy and couldn't have done it without BJ's 2nd letter list
Hi Miyavi.Hope your birthday was a goody.A quick visit to babble whilst kettle boils then back to Olympics.
Hey Mac! it was great thanks ^^ (is speed-babbling an olympic sport?)
Yvo, how good's your German? The only clues I can think of for it have German words in them
Excellent suggestion.Need heaps more practice to get up to speed though. Not a medal prospect.Besides I`m on alpha and beta blockers.Banned beforeI begin.
german perfect
lmao Mac! I could maybe win a medal for "not giving up, even though she knows the prospects of finishing are hopeless"
Ok, then here goes: What bath towels are made of in German - the last two letters + how old you are in English
Back later.
Thanks Amanda got it
nix zu danken. Are you in Germany?
no im live in a suburb of chicago but was born Frankfurt Germany
Ah - Other way around for me. From the States but live in Hamburg.
have a girlfriend living in Hamburg been there a couple of times, its a nice city with a lot of history
wow...it must be great to be able to speak two languages fluently! I speak bits of french, bits of german (er...or not o_o) and I write Japanese (hiragana, anyway), but I'm nowhere near fluent!
Yeah, it's ok if you can deal with the winters. Although Chicago winters are just as bad, I suppose. What does your girlfriend do here? Maybe I know her...
Miya - it has it's advantages. Although I tend to say I speak 2 half-languages. After a while they kinda get mixed up. Especially when I get irate at Babble for not accepting what I type in, until I remember it's a German word and not an English one.
she lives on Anderson Ring her name is Linda Schuppan
thats what I do sometimes...I ended up having a (one sided) shouting match with my 'pooter because babble didn't accept kasa or yume...(umbrella and dream)
Hi, Everyone!!!!
Nope, Yvo - haven't run into her. But you never know!
Hey Peri! How are you?
mi Just knowing Japanese is quite an acomplishment its a hard one to learn
Today's puzzle would be great for German words - there's alot of them in there
Amanda i think weatherwise its about the same ,however we had a mild Winter so far , but who knows whats to come
I second Yvo, Miya. Hats off!
well...I don't know much of it, speaking-wise...and my kanji is a mess. Pretty much all I can unravel is hiragana :/ A work in progress!
Hi,Miyavi_fan, doing well here. Waiting for a big snowstorm and not happy about it. Pigging out on guacamole with salsa and whole grain tortilla chips :)
*basks in praise* XD oooh...Peri...my envy-waves are now radiating through your computer screen!
Actually I think Chicago winters are probably worse - we get a bit of the tail-end of the Gulf Stream, so it generally doesn't get as cold here as in the midwest US. It's the lack of daylight that really gets me. I don't know how Scandanavians manage!
Does Norway count as part of Scandanavia? (asks the girl who's doing a GCSE in geography) if so, I may not be able to see to ski :/
I don't have any aptitude for languages, except that I often have to sing them. I have sung in Latin, French, German, Maori, Hungarian and Maltese to name a few, but they are all learnt 'parrot' fashion.
btw p is a word i just found
Wow, Wren! That's part of the way I learn Japanese, through singing! (even though I'm a visual learner...weird -_-) When did you sing in Maori?!
He's right, Wren. Tsk, tsk! Yeah, Miya, Norway is Scandanavia, but it must be light enough to ski there since so many skiers come from there. Dunno, and don't plan to find out - I'm as far north as I'm ever going to go!
lmao where abouts are you?
'lo all again --- had to go to sleep last night. My icon is a morph photo of what Brad and Angelina look like morphed together. Weird. I said it earlier, the morph photo makes them look androgenous.
The Singer Roger Whittaker does not know a word of german ,but sings perfect german songs without even the slightest accent
aaand my rudeness means I can't stay to see the answer to that question :/ Later everyone - got to go on a shampoo run! The dog has turned into a yeti :/
adios, miyavi fan -- don't get too wet washing the dog.
If you come back Miya, I'm in Hamburg
We sing an arrangement of Pokakare Ana. Unfortunately we haven't been to the Antipodes
Ex-Wren, your profile reminds me of the character Dame Judy Dench plays on "As Time Goes By" -- we get the program here in the states and it's our favorite show each week. Just had to mention that, in case you had not seen the program. Produced in Brittain.
Bye for now ,fixing Lunch
Well it's certainly a good reason to go, Wren! As in "Dear Sir, I would very much like to sing for you in your language, so may I please have an all-expenses paid round trip?" Worth a try...
da5/12? this grid is giving me a migraine.
Good Morning, Everyone. Aren't 3 f's a little excessive?
morning, cybernan -- I agree.
Angel - double the consonant from the word right before it
Hooray! Finally finished. Any one need anything before I go?
DONE...anyone need a clue?
fr8/65 please! Have looked at log, still can't get it!
da4/7 that is not an expletive?
Pick me..Pick me! I need a clue. AR7? please
Angelsong, da + not stop but **
gramma...ar7...2 sets of double letters in it
gramma...sorry...only one set of double letters...the puzzle got to me apparently
Thank you; but, I still don't get it.
GOT IT!!! tyvm.
ar7...Definition...A red or yellowish-red dyeing material, prepared from the pulp surrounding the seeds of a tree (Bixa orellana) belonging to the tropical regions of America. It is used for coloring cheese, butter, etc
gramma - the ar7 is that horrid lipstick tree that turns up again and again. Let's see if I can figure out how to ... oops, no need. You got it while I was typing.
SJW, the f8: to and f** + double consonant + how old you are. Then look it up - it's gross.
thanks amandacath, glad I didnt know that word!
ty amandacath.
i'm missing a da 7 - i've got the one that rhymes with bang - help for the other please?
afternoon all!
Yeah, try throwing that one into casual conversation ...
Linda, I just gave angelsong that clue. scroll down
Linda - it's a derogatory term for italians
thanks all!
There is more than one meaning for the fr8 - Another is- A method of making a design by placing a piece of paper on top of an object and then rubbing over it, as with a pencil or charcoal.
Hello, all... how's it going today?
Hi chic. I'm slower than molasses today...and my computer is no better :(
I know how that goes; I'm slogging thru myself ;-)
Good Afternoon all Been working away here and was wondering if someone could give me a clue for the fe 5/ 16 can't seem to find it, thanks

what are you seeing tonite?
we're bored, you're over ?? is that right, une?
Une - are you referring to Brad and Jen???
It's a Gang Show, but I don't expect you have them over there, strictly amatuer, put on by the Scouting movement, but they are always very good
Judi, what is yours?
Smaller - it's Angelina's bump (allegedly).
my homemade enchiladas are ready to bake for dinner tonight. I'm really happy with the recipe I found.
ahhh. oh sure. mine looked like that too. yep. noooo stretch marks whatsoever. uh huh. yeppers

lol Sherb...I'm a teenager, remember? our bodies were built to eat like animals XD AND we don't do the washing up
...! Oh, hellooooo ; ) LOL behave!!
lol! Your icon does actually remind me of something though... maybe if Kyo married Brad Pitt, your icon is their child...
...I think it's his Achilles hair, as opposed to heel : )
nan - frequently
You know, I saw a picture of Brad Pitt the other day, and I swear he wears mascara :/
what do you mean... they ALL wear mascara...
sherb -- I'm familiar with Rabbie, but can't use the a for the second word in your clue and when I use the o, I get "not valid"
...beacuse i'm worth it : D
nan - sorry - ga + consonant + first two letters of 'frequently'
sherb - have you chosen a pic of Jennifer 'cos she's Brad's ex....?
maybe he's born with it...

7 words to go, but my stomach thinks my throat's been cut, so back after lunch :)
Later, cybernan!
hi everyone, I'm back, but babysitting, so don't know how long I'll get to stay.
Hey doxy, how are you?
not too bad, how about you?
hi doxy!!!
hi mamabear
Slow today. Got off to a late start. Life intruded upon my babbling.
is it excusable to kill someone if they ruin your birthday plans??
isn't that the way it goes. I just got back from shopping. Bought what I needed to make baby's christening dress.
I think it's punishable in some states, eva - where do you live?
evan, most definately!!!
...right up there with crime of passion EvaN : ) Er, not good news then... ?
Sure, extenuating circumstances and all of that. It would probably be a short sentence...
how cool, doxy! I crocheted a christening gown, bonnet, booties and blanket for my middle daughter!!! What fun!
same girl who flaked on me a few months ago...was supposed to go to see the band with me tonight...just called AT THE TIME WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE LEAVING to say she cant risk getting snowed out there cause shes got too much to do tomorrow
I would go with you if I could. Who were you going to go see?
...guess she sorta lives life on the edge : / Any favours you can call in?
Oh evanadine, that's AWFUL!!! Yes, definitely justifiable homicide! I wish I could go with you!!!
the only other friend who wants to go cant leave til late and its a few hours to get there
That's the pits! Ask an acquaintance you'd like to get to know better. Maybe you'll make a good friend on the drive over and can forsake the fair-weather friend.
hello everyone in babbleland...where it never snows and i won't have to shovel a foot of the white stuff...:D
How about friends who are available? Must a be a gig-buddy about somewhere? Someone who is twiddling their thumbs at home and hoping for some excitement : )
hello temple owl wish it would snow here
no one else i know could go
Hey, temple. We ended up not getting any snow that stuck. My kids were not happy.
hi temple. BBS, have to change a diaper.
Aww EvaN...there must be someone : ) Next door neighbour? What band are you going to see?
uh oh evaN...snow screwed up your plans?
Hi Temple! It's snowing like the dickens here, too! Evanadine - is there someone "along the way" that you could pick up to go with you?
Hi T-Owl : )
just my friends band... absolutely no one else...id asked everyone in the first place. even the BF has other plans tonight -- he made them since i had plans + now hes busy.
Hey Anj - let Evanadine borrow your mascara so that she can bat those LONG lashes at the BF.... so he changes his plans & goes with her!!!!!
thats me all finished. how u doing sha?
It's a long drive on your own : / What's the weather like??
anybody have the fr 8?
anj: too many glam rock theme days?
its already snowing, fairly much...not sticking too much though... its why i wanted to leave earlier...
Yay Ruthy : ) Mama, good plan : D
how far is it, evaN? can you go it alone - maybe stay over somewhere?
Yay, ruthy!!!!
Mama, it's the act of rubbing. Could be brass...could be... but probably not ; )
need 65 words ruthy
was planning on staying over anyway cause its 2 1/2 hours away...dont wanna go alone though -- had to do that last time they were in town cause the same friend flaked on me then too
Alrighty then, Anj hand over the mascara to Evanadine..... Evanadine, make them REALLY long.... real "Battable".... (is the BF persuadable?) Long lashes, maybe throw in a tear for effect? Whatdaya think?
That's my thought T-Owl... EvaN, if you do decide to go make sure the roads are clear and speak to your friend in the band before you leave to check that they will deffo be there...you could even angle for a place to stay for the night in case the snow decides to stick...
doesnt sound like 2 good a friend evandine
fr8 - fr + circle letter + double consonants + r*** (anger)
where is it?
evan - can i come? Not doing much ealse tonight. Have to be back early tho, cos Ive got work in the morning. Also, it'll have to be seperate rooms, cos my girlfriends really jealous.
Thanks, doxy. Good clue!
yw
We should have some babble friends in that are who could go with you or meet you there. Too bad Arkansas is so far away from everything.
I'm back! : ) Anj, I dressed up a bit for our date....but I see I wasn't the only one : /
i shouldnt be surprised -- she wants to be able to do everything + she has the worst time management skills. but its for my friggin birthday. *GRRRR*
Hey, lola.
hi lola
looks like such a perfect clue, doxy..... what am I doing wrong?
start in bottom left
yes... and then a circle vowel, and then the only double cons is the r.... plus r*** (rhymes with cage). Right?
double cross letters
passes fish in expectation to Mamabear.......
Hi everyone! I'm writing a power point on commas.
rhymes with "cottage"
Thanks babe : ) EvaN...that's the crux. It's YOUR birthday. It's some friend that lets you down on the day : /

Aah, it's the tight shorts, isn't it babe?? lol : ) Hi quick! : )
Well...I was considerably older than the crowd, but they were good to me. Age has it's advantages. These young girls would tell me "oh, that guy is so cute". I would just amble over and engage them in conversation. Usually starting with " you look familiar. I think I know your parents" They'd open right up and I'd introduce the girls and the rest is history. It kinda sounds like I was a pimp, but; it really wasn't like that. I was just facilatating. And of course I was into a wee bourbie ;)
hi quick, bye sherb
Thanks, everyone --- finally done!

Thank you doxy - Spangle is a very pretty dog, isn't she?
179 words
179 words 2413 pts
thank you.
yes, doxy, imagine the shock & amazement on MY face!!!!! and ..... another name for flotsom? I didn't even know it(?) had THAT name......
I'm done but really fed up the grid wouldn't let me have my porage!
Especially when it's spelt that way on some of the packets!
Yey, Spellit!
congrats spellit!!!
darn those Americans for spelling it differently ; )
yes EB... especially THAT one.... well I really didn't get to the po's yet, though.... just picking out 7's to ask for clues on..... but it's still no excuse.... *mamabear hides head in paws*
Absolutely right and Hi Mab
congrats spellit - beautiful icon by the way!!
good job spellit!
*pats mama bear on back* there, there, mamabear...it's o.k.!!
OK... do like 50% of the words in this grid end in "how old you are"???? geeeesh
Guess I'd better join Anj and see how Chelsea lost 0-3
there are quite a few
nite spellit
thanks EB...... *still sniveling*
Night all - happy word hunting
it's ok mamabear. you hadn't got to the po's yet.
mama - whaddya need to feel better?? chocolate? champa gne? both???
night spellit!! enjoy the game...
64 more words. half dipped in chocolate half dipped in champagne
comin' right up! ('cept I still have 127 to find).... the pa 7 "loyal supporter" is alluding me... brassier doesn't start w/ pa!!
pass the chocolate dipped words please
EB - p + a genie who comes out of a lamp if you rub it (sort of)
pa + the guy who rubbed the lamp
Okay - simpler version - first three letters word for friend, then vowel, then another word for noise
GMTA, doxy!!!!!
mama & doxy - thanks!! just what I needed.... like those books - Computers for Dummies.... just give me "Clues for Dummies..." : )
except I just read my clue.... which was wrong.... :(
mama - I still got it from the clue.... now, Haz - if you mentioned it was a peer of Charlemange's court - I would have gotten it right away!! LOL!!!
Charlemange?
oops... Charlemagne....
Sounds like a skin disease...
pa 7/36 anyone?
Charlemange. Charles with his fur falling off ...
( I clicked on the ? to see the definition...)
Chessy & Haz - ROFL....
fur falling off???? ooooo makes me shiver....
quick, those were the clues we just gave
sorry mama...fat fingered in my typing!!
Don't worry, mamab. Only the dogs of charlemaigne's court have that disease.
how about something out of the p section.... like maybe the an 6/24 (have the furry one)
Sorry. Eye are going batty from looking too long!
But your typings really coming on, Quick...
Maybe quick wears an eyepatch, haz, but hasn't gotten used to it yet. Could be, right, huh, huh?
Yea, sure, that's it...............lol
oops - now i get it. Eyes - I'm also a little daft tonight.
Are we observing "no clues on "a" words" day???? how bout if I throw in a pretty please?????
Who made that stupid rule?
I'm working my way that direction. Haven't gotten there yet, sorry.
an 6/24 is what wonderfully soft sweaters are made of
I have that one Quick.... but thanks!
ag 4/6 is almost unbearable pain
Mama - the an6/24 defines as "The initial clustering of embryonic cells from which a part or an organ develops; primordium" (if that helps!)
ag 6/24 - when you look at a pane of glass and a bright relective light shines
pa/7 is a trimmer with reverse gold at the end
The other an6/24 is a German word. Add almost all of the beer (la5)
thank you, got it with the Chessy/Google combo!!!!
Thanks Chessy and Haz !
You're welcome!
Is anyone having a bother entering one of the words er4/6 the message keeps telling me 'oops you have already used that word' and it will not accept it.also anyone help with ro4/7
My A's are gray.. My A's are gray... OH Happy Day, My A's are Gray!
norma, hit refresh. the word will be there.
ro 4/7 is our antipodean entertainer Mr Harris
norma trying refreshiing your screen
Norma - try refreshing!
Go go go Mamabear :)
thanks mamabear
hhhmmm...I put in the word for a person who sells property and homes & it says it's not a valid word. I didn't think that was a proper name. Weird.
Deb - that has been remarked on before in the log. No-one knows why it isn't accepted.
sorry deb, it won't accept realtor
yes, Debberzz - that was noticed early on in the grid... weird, huh?
thanks Haz and everyone for your help - it is a great chatroom
DEB me too.... alas alac it is babble land
doxy, is that an American spelling or something?
Actually, if you notice, the word Realtor is always capitalized, and has a trademark symbol after it! Useless trivia!
have no idea
Deb...the creator is American...uses the "Enable" dictionary...every once in a while you just get words you think should be in there, but aren't....
harpjane, that explains it then! Thanks!
hi harpjane
Hi angel buns, I mean hi harpjane!
Back again. Sorry i keep popping in and out. Will be leaving again in about 35 minutes to take my daughter to the school for her dance.
musicmom - is this a dance class or a formal dance?
hi musicmom! does anyone have the first da 4/7? It is eluding me and causing a ruckus in my brain. Thanks
short of a da4/7 , help please
Haz, this is a middle school (6th grade - 8th grade) social dance for Valentines Day. They will have a dj playing pop music. The girls will giggle and the boys will stare and everyone will have a great time.
Add the command 'Leave' to get a less than complimentary word.
Oh. That reminds me. What's today's theme? I haven't played for a while. Angelbuns was my birthday gift to evandine, and/or "mythical creatures...."
Mama, it's a slang and disparaging word for Spanish or Italian person ...
da4/ I think americans call mexicans this
thanks Haz! Now I know why it's not in a2z!
So it's not the full evening dress, fake tan, make-up, stretch limo night?
I'm off to church now. Later.
norma, it's a slang term for Italians -- old world derogatory for immigrants from Italy
thanks Norma
Bye Harpjane
bye harp
later, Angelbuns!
Wow, harpjane, with that icon, Church seems appropriate :0)
Oh nono she is wearing jeans and a top. She will probably wear her velvet blazer just because she thinks it looks cool.
hi & bye harp...see you later!!
All finished thanks for the help
congrats Norma :)
We have probably about 4 more years before the dress up dances start.
congrats norma
congrats Norma!!
"!*"!*FIREWORKS"!*"!* for Norma!!!!!!
Isn't it strange how fashions come around again - velvet blazers were so fashionable in the 70's and now they're back!
Thanks Chessy
Yep my daughter is a decided jock --- usually work out clothes is her favorite dress. But she picked this blazer out at Christmas time with a gift certificate. it makes her look so grown up :-(
thanks everyone i don't manage it very often so it is ""Fireworks""
Well, I hope she has a good time anyway. The dress up dances are something of a nightmare. Start saving!
... and now all my little squares are grey - nite all :)
I know! My best friend's daughter went to a dance last weekend and the dress was $90.00 and the shoes were $30 and the nails.... and the hair..... and the dinner..... UGH!
congrats and nite cheesy
Night Chessy
Well done Chessy/Norma etc! I'm ages behind...
congrats & good night Chessy!!
School dances used to be relatively tame affairs. Then the craze started for full make-up, hair appointments, flowers for mothers, stretch limousines etc. We blame the American influence, of course!
<grin> Of course.......
g'nite Chessy - good job!!!!!
this grid is a bugger....
mama.... those p's were a doozy!!
YES it is Mama. I can't seem to get into a rhythm today. could be because I'm not concentrating on it for lengths of time.
Don't sit on the fence, mamabear - say what you really feel.
i agree mamabear!!!
I concur...I still have 77 to go...UGH!
i still haven't gotten over the P's mrp!!!1
Wahhhh I haven't even attempted the p's yet.
hi ren
Oh, you're in for a treat, musicmom.
hey doxy!!! hey all.....8)
hi rennie!! you name a letter - I still have it (except u & z!)
Great Haz. maybe you all out to just start listing the clues now<g> Actually, I can look back in the log so you don't all have to go through that again.
Hey Ren, is your icon about how you feel today or how you feel about Brad and Angelina?
hey eb!! i don't have enough of anything to make a difference.
I did not post that message three times. I am not stuttering.
to be un pc - how i feel about b&a...so i'm a baby bald pit
Very nice! <g>
I have a smattering of p's..... *mamabear sitting on a fence....* ..... interesting thought... me thinks that after that the dog will get out of the yard!!!
mrp made me do it....8)
oh yeah... blame the president!!
rennie - I refused to change w/ anything b & a in it - and I missed yesterday - so I did a fairy instead!!
oh! mrp - !!!!!!!!!!!
leslie ann had on a team anistan t-shirt last night
We ALWAYS blame the president. It's the American way<g> BTW, no matter why you have it, I think that icon is just tooo cute Ren.
i like your fairy eb
rennie - cheers to her!!
thanks mm - it's from an educational web site - i only colored it.
76 trombones led the big parade... with 110 coronets right behind... they were followed by rows & rows of the finest virtuo's...
.... the cream of every famous band!!!!
hello all! 179...seems doable.
Done! woot!
congrats atalante
Haha Kristinc - you obviously haven't started yet. Not to be a downer or anything.
woo hoo atalante!!!! Kristin - don't be fooled...
Yeah! Congrats
okay, I'll consider myself warned!
when i sat down on the couch, it made a sound that went plorf... plorf...a perfectly valid word I think....
kristin - well we got trouble my afriend, right here, i say trouble right here in babble city
kristinc... you will be crying when you have to p
but no capital "T's" and lots of p's but none for pool!!
LOL mrp ...soooo true
Well, you're all seriously underestimating Kristin's capabilities. Why, for all we know these words might be common parlance with her!
oh my...I thought nothing could be worse than last Thursdays (or whatever one was big w/ ridiculous words) but I've been wrong before!
Personally I think the t's and r's are in the wrong places. Gotta run Sarah to the school. Be back soon.
LOL eb!!!!
bye siggy!! see you in a bit! : )
thanks for your confidence Haz...fat chance but thanks nonetheless :)
I rhink you ate tighr!!
Hi kristinc! I see you came in while I was changing the laundry.... sneaky, huh? *wink* This grid is a brat.
It's the power of positive thinking!
Hi mama...today goin' any better for you? (besides the grid)
I think I can... I think I can.... I think I can.... nope, still have the same amount of words to go that I had before I chanted that silly line.
Well, it's Saturday... that helps. But the transmission place is closed today so I won't even KNOW what's wrong with my car until Monday. And that means getting to work and back will be tricky also... but THIS grid'll take your mind off ANYTHING!
fl6/27 X2, help pls?
think of flowers for the 2 fl 6's... the fl**** industry (and the other has a latin ending)
Need help with the fr8... my last word!!
thanks mamabear
The fl6 words - latin plural of fl 5 (plant related) and the other one is descriptive of fl 5
Jera - like a small house by the sea (cabin -like)... drop the c and replace w/ the FR
the fr 8 is the same as the pl 8 and the po 7 hi jera!
mama~uh-oh! Well, babble on and utilize that positive thinking for your Monday commute!
fr + round vowel + double consonants + r*** (anger) minus the r
fr 8 - sounds like fraught plus how old you are (think French for rub)
tyvm Mamabear... hate to Babble & run but it is very very cold here tonight... good night all!!
yw, jera! I understand.... it is very cold here, too!!!
stay warm Jera! Nightie nite!!!
Good night Jera.

anybody have anything on the fo 6/33 (not the last one)
similar to not remembered

There's another fo6/33 followed by the 7 - root about for food.
Time to take a break...... bbl!

I'm back! Here for another hour or so. UGH all this popping in and out is wearing me. What did I miss?
hey... a couple clues and know we're all furiously typing!
Excellent. i'm going to scroll backwards and pick up some clues as well. That may jumpstart me tonight.
musicmom - mamabear & Jera left...other than that, just workin' through the grid - a few fo & other clues provided!!
Thanks EB. I'm scrolling backwards for clues. I just greyed an f box. Whoohoo. Thank you everyone!

ch1212 - p + the person who rubbed the lamp to get the genie.... (Disney movie w/ Robin Williams as the Genie)
doxie, vicuna, EasternBlue -- thanks, got it!
pa 7 is the name of an old western tv series. Or, p plus the creature who emerges from the lamp one rubs, less an L

fo6/33 - someone who fakes art or signatures
MamaBear, I have 41 left to find, how many more do you need?
fo6/33 someone who passes bad checks
fo 6/33 - to look or hunt for food fo 6/33 - to not remember (change last vowel)
I think the Olympics start at 8:00...(EST)...

Wow Ren that is cold for you guys isn't it? It is about normal for us this time of year. We have been unseasonably warm. But tonight is cold and snowy. Could get icy and dangerous as the night goes on. Good night to stay in and babble.
Mamabear, that was the fo6 I needed, thanks
3 fo 6/33's 1. to not remember (diff last vowel) 2. someone who passes bad checks 3. to look or hunt for food
the 3 fo6/33 are search for food, archaic failed to remember, and one who signs signatures not his own
P's are done!! woo hoo... now to the rest....
hi Vicuna...didn't see you there...
ok. big decision here. do i start at the to's and go backwards or start at the ga's and go forward.....
Hello! I'm always lurking!

evanadine - Not sure what mama's referring to...but sounds like you need some (((((*********HUGS************ ))))))
owwww ben and jerry's
choc chip cookie dough! the band plays out this way usually once a month...but theres probably still a big "happy birthday sam" sign and tons of bubbles there without me to enjoy them. :(
the pl 8 is the same as the fr 8 and po 7
T-Owl - do you have the fr 8?? if so - change the first 2 letters...

((((MAMA)))) i got my sign and my bubbles. :D
Evanadine said she was missing a HB sign and bubbles... was just trying to make up for it!

WoW! that is neat, EB
thanks folks! just adding to the feb list ... : )
Peri this is a really bad clue but the 5/20 sounds like a Lord of the Rings character.
I'm on the ga's myself, peri! Will watch for your clues! EB - I am in awe as I put down and retire my chalk!
(oops...I missed that part of the log...) now I get it!! happy belated T-Owl !!!

Then it was areally really bad clue. I'll get the def. just a minute.
ga 5/20 thief scoundrel.

No problem. That is the only ga I have. I'm stuck on ag words.
That sounds REAL good, Evanadine!!! Do you still have the mascara from Anj? Gotta make those lashes REAL battable!!!
eva - that's good!! maybe he'll even throw in a back rub or chocolate!! or both!! : )
thanks mama!!
OR a back rub WITH chocolate.... yum!
UP to 145, off to watch the Olympics, will probably not be back till tomorrow.
heh, the backrub is a definite -- i already made him promise me one!
hi everyone - I haven't seen anyone ask for this one, so it's gotta be sooooo easy but I can't find it! PO 6/27 please help it's my last one!
evanadine, won't a chocolate backrub get kind of messy?
gumpunk - like your po 7 /40 minus a "t"
I think a chocolate backrub sounds yummy. Oh...uhm...maybe it's just the chocolate I'm wanting<g>
can't believe I missed it , NOW I can sleep! EB thank you so much!
gumpunk - I am the fairy of dreams!!
I better get busy - since I came back I have only entered one word... too busy yackin!
"Fairy of Dreams"..... I like that! I LOVE dreams!
"we are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."
mama - like your poem.... I think that would make a marvelous picture book by the way!!
I love that quote. I used to have it hanging in my jr. high choir room.
evanadine - have you read my Dreams poem in my bio?
EB - yes I think you are right!!! Wonder how I would go about that? I don't even know how I could get the POEM published...
lovely mama!
eva & musicmom - I love that quote too... My jr high orchestra teacher had it hanging in her room too...
thank you!
who said that quote??
mama that is a beautiful poem. It would make a wonderful children's book. Don't know how to go about it though. I think the company I do direct sales for should buy it from you. We do books, cds and manipulatives for children.
willy wonka in charlie + the chocolate factory....the gene wilder version!
Just got the pl, ren!
I don't know where it came from originally. I knew it from Willy Wonka.
i nearly fainted waiting on you!!!! LOL
Google says it was written by Arthur O'Shaughnessy
musicmom..... tell me more!!!!
How about the pl8? I'm skipping all over the board tonight.
ah - that's it!! and I've seen that movie a gazillion times...my brain is definitely NOT in working order tonight!!...
the pl 8 is the same as the fr 8 and the po 7
renny - why are you fainting? waiting for what?
Thanks mama. That's easy
eb...that's me as well...let's not think.....8)
*fans rennie & uses smelling salts* I haven't seen the "other" version of Willy Wonka - only the ORIGINAL...
I cannot find the ga 4/6 (have the big party one)
pl 5 is the yiddish word for faint....mab let me know she found it
rennie - you're funny!! : )
I saw the new one even though I was skeptical. Fortunately they made it different enough that it didn't annoy me.
OH I get it now! LOL
i love both of the willy wonkas..different, but i enjoy gene wilder and anyhitng tim burton does...
mama - if you eat too much cake, you'll ga _ _ weight
Thanks for the big party one. I didn't have that.
musicmom & rennie - I'll have to give it a shot then...
ga5 is also yiddish, for a kind of wheeler dealer.
*mamabear whispers... was that "n" ALWAYS over there?* ty
Nope they just put it in. I didn't see it either.
*whispers back* nope...it just arrived!! : D

would anyone like to help me with the pa's I have left???
help me to as well??????????
Sure!
Oh goodie goodie gumdrops! I need the 2 pa 5/16's after the 8/55
They both start with the same 4 letters, with different final vowels. The first one rhymes with a big boat (the one SUV's steer like)
ga5 - not the con man or what a horse does...
Temple - think crocodile.... or 'codile!
ga5 - Florida university mascot
thanks mama, vicuna!
got the pa's.. thanks Vicuna!
Way to go! I'm stalled out in the re's.
Now... missing 2 pl's pl 6/21 and pl 5/22.... purty please?
pl6/21- add a consonant to the word before pl5/22 - ditto - and this time you KNOW which consonant it has to be!
mama: com pl6/21
got the 6/21 - thank you! but the 5/22 - the word before it is an 8, if I add a cons it will be a 9??????
Ah, yes, I should have checked more closely. Add to the pl4 right before that!
i am missingone of the da4 ..help plesae?

Okay Pair's skating is on so I will be zoning in on the tv for a while. I'm still here just not babbling.
Goodnight, MamaBear? da4/7 - derogotory term for Italian da4/7 - mild expletive, not quite sending to the devil da4/5 - no def, but remove a consonant from the da5 after it

Haha Mama
Another pair came on and I quit reading the log I don't think I can multitask tonight.
OK... I have a question. Does anyone know why we spend HOURS on these things? When at midnite it goes away and the world goes on?
wasn't the us pair beautiful!!!
Mama - my husband was just asking the same question. <g> But then again why do we clean our houses when they just get dirty again. We could use the same reasoning.
and often do - LOL!
Ren YES!!
ar7/28: food coloring an6...except add r betwenn the a and the n
I just turned it on.. didn't realize the skating couples were on. I missed the US pair. dang (oops)

Thanks, TO!
good point, Ren! We'll just keep babbling till we can answer THAT question, too!!!!
Finally found the on I was looking for a 7 instead of a 6. Sheesh. thanks for the help.
How anyone can spin in the air like that and land on ice skates is beyond me!
this chinese skater is making me nervous
need a break - bbl!
the 2nd chinese group?
i mean the 2nd chinese pair?
Yes because of his ankle. I don't know that I would have trusted him to throw me up in the air like that. EEK!
yes - the couple whose man has a torn achilles
me either - mez had to have his achilles grafted and he has never walked the same since....
lo 5?
lo5- sounds like Caesar's wreath (girl's name), but spelled lo
lo 5 = l + or 4
ty thought I had tried that
You probably had. There's absolutely no doubt that sometimes it sneakily refuses to admit that you typed in a word before!
Thanks Vicuna that makes me feel better<G>
It happens to me, too, mm!
me too also as well!!!!
Ahhhhhh so it's the grid's fault.
most definitely! nasty grid... nasty, nasty grid!
right - never us...no not us -we are so goooddddd 8)
I love this line of reasoning.
Well, come on. You KNOW it's true!
Of course it is true.I would hang out with people who aren't most excellent wordsters.
in the comics today, Cathy reasoned that it was the chocolate's fault she at it...I completely understood her logic!! : )
Well of course... you can't just go around teasing a person like that and not expect them to eat you! (oooohh, that sounded bad, didn't it?)
Oh most definitely Eb.
you know it's true - WE didn't ask for chocolate -
ooops...ate it... yeesh!! typing it not my forte today!!
mama - ROFL!!!
I think I just heard some chocolate calling out. It was very clearly saying "Come and get me!"
There ya go! Real life proof even as we speak!
Like Alice in Wonderland....
my chocolate begged me to take it out of it's warpper...so i did...
It's really only kindness to do the poor chocolate favor sometimes. (Did I say "sometimes"? I meant "always.")
always vicuna...always....
Lookie what I did: You have 0word(s) left to find
way to go mama!!!!!!!!!1
Woo HOO mamabear!!!! OO \_/
Yeah Mama. I have 41 left. I'm working on it for 25 more minutes and then I'm done for tonight. I want to get some quilting time in.
Congratulations! Me too!
Thanks! I just LOVE your keyboard art, EB!! How you guyses doin?
hooray mama! Just arrived back. Olympics will be on for me in an hour and a half. Gonna be a good show from what ya'll are saying!
Go Vicuna
Musicmom, what are you making? I'm working on quilts for my kids.
Woo Hoo Vicuna!!!
way to go vicuna!!!
hooray vicuna!
I am handquilting a quilt of 30 - 12" blocks that I swapped with people on the internet back in 1997. This quilt is for me and has been on the back burner for a LONG time. I want to get it done before Spring hits hard.
Good job Vicuna!!!! And this was a toughie!!! Welcome back, kristinc!
That sounds beautiful, mm!! Quilting is the one craft (besides stained glass) that I have never tried. Maybe someday.
hint for the ga 5/20?? pretty please with chocolate on top???
Oh I'm impressed by handquilting! I like the piecing but I actually don't like the quilting part of quilting. I always do machine quilting, and as little as I can get away with.
I really love it. I finished one for Hannah (my 5 yo) and one for my Grandma at Christmas time. Grandma's was machine quilted by a friend but I did the piecing. Babbling has distracted me from quilting.
ga 5/10 = ga + cons + hey, cutie do you come here **ten?
I'd love to learn quilting sometime...no space in my apartment right now, but once I can get a house....craftworld here i come!!
ga5/20- variant spelling of a Yiddish word for scoundrel. Ends with the 4-pt consonant
mm, I have nothing in my scrapbook from August 05 on...hmm...about the time I started babble-go figure!
Actually, I started babbling because I was having trouble with my arm while I was practicing for last week's gig so much. I've been resting it all week and it finally feels like I can start again. I'm only quilitng for an hour tonight though. I want to take baby steps.
Yeah, me too. Babble distracts me from all the things I could be doing. But to be fair, quilting distracts me from Babble, too!
eb I quilt in a hoop instead of a frame because of the space issue.
Okay. I need to babble or I'm still going to have 41 words 25 minutes from now. Can I have clues for er 5/14 and 5/10?
musicmom - I'd have to take a class first...I've only done a little sewing...
I used to do so much and so many different kinds of crafts. Have a whole room in the downstairs dedicated to it. Since I started working full time though, I have neglected all of it. Except for an occasional crocheted hat or scarf here and there... or baby blanket gift or something.
Come visit. I'll teach you. I've taught others.
er 5/14 - er + how many words you *** (or have)
My husband (he's kind of crafy to begin with) even gets into quilting because he likes to help me plot out the square paper or on the computer...so that is kind of fun.
I would LOVE to learn, musicmom!
Yep my husband helped me design a quilt that looks like a chess board for our room.
er5/14 - a disease that infects rye (I think?) and makes it poisonous. Add a consonant to er4/6 er5/10 - it would be a grave er- to eat poisonous rye
mm & kristinc - that is SO cool that your husbands get involved. I envy you.
I don't quite see my hubby doing that...he leaves the 'creative' stuff to me....
Yep...I always promise him I"ll never tell anyone...oops and i did!
*whispers to kristin* we'll never tell!!
er 5/10 - when you do something wrong, it is an er*** on your part
Thanks for the clues ladies. I'm serious. We could have a babble free weekend of sewing at my house. I have a guest room and extra sewing machines.
Kristinc- there's actually quite a tradition of male quilters through history. They tend to go for designs with bragging value, like the most patches in the world, or something like that.
how far are you from Chicago, musicmom?
okay...focus. Howz about the two re 5/14s? (I have the first 6/24 but not the second)
heheh that's true Vicuna. Or the quilt that uses all the blue fabric it is possible to find.
kristin - re 5 - kings & queens....
vicuna...really? That is great! I'll tell him.
Mama - I'm about 8 hours. But if you're in Chicago I'll come to you! I've always wanted to come there. Greg has been but I haven't.
re 5/14's 1. think royal OR re + another 3 letter word for girl 2. same first three letters and what we call cybernan for short, minus the last n
thanks EB!
I'm a bit far from Chicago & So. Ohio...not sure if I'd be able to make it!!
thanks mama!
re5/14 - royal re5/14 - related to latin for queen, or to rule re6 - add a consonant to the previous, to make it adj.
the second re 6/24 - add an l to the last re 5
Oh, I see skating's back on, so I'm off to watch a bit. Goodnight!
thanks folks!
goonight vicuna, thanks for the help!
Bye Vicuna!!
g'nite, Vicuna! Enjoy the games!
brb
ditto'
later vicuna!!!!
bye musicmom...
Yep I'm out.Time to watch Olympics and quilt. See you all tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
later mm - enjoy!!!!!!!11
i've got like 43 words left
I have 37. If I can't quilt because of hurting, I'll be back.
Hi Ren. I've got one word left to find, ag6/33. There are home-made triple choc muffins on my icon for the first one who gives me a clue.:-)
ok mm - don't agrevate carpal tunnel
Jac - so tempting yet I don't have that word....
mistress - i don't have that word.....
I don't have it either but you better believe I'm lookin' for it now!
ag 6/33 - a + what you might chart out something on OR sounds like that really tall animal with the long neck minus the "er" sound
ooh mama, darn you but good clue!
Mamabear - Got it. Thank you! The muffins are yours.:-)
ar5: i have the gas; the gas - n = l; slang; which one am i missing? please?
jac - did you say TRIPLE chocolate????/ *mamabear rubbing paws together and drooling slightly* (ok, NOT slightly.... there's a darn puddle forming)
*sneaks a muffin before mama notices* La la la la la la la.....
hint for an6, please . . . not the sweater
Yes, Mama, triple chocolate. Choc muffins with white chocolate and milk chocolate hand-cut CHUNKS.:-)
thanks mama - you know we all love chocolate
ar + another word for "have"
haha nice icon unea
:-)
an 6 - an + la word for beer, minus the last cons
mmmmmm...... muffin yummy!!!!!!!! thanks, jac!
thanks, mamabear!
Has anyone seen Babbler lately? I was not Babbling all week, but didn't notice her yesterday or today...
Mama - I saw her Thurs (I think)....she hasn't been on much since she pulled a muscle on Monday....
I love your icon Une!!! That says it ALL!
Oh no, she pulled a muscle???? Is it bad?
I think Babbler was here on Thursday, Mama.
indeed!
* blushes* an7? not an5...
That's funny, you must have reappearing muffins, Jac, I know I took one, but your tray is still full!!!! Must be muffin magic!
gonna step away for a bit, neighborhood gathering next door but back later for the last 60 and the olympics. Thanks for the help so far!
perchance do you mean aR 7, Temple?
Mama - from Bab's handbag... *** Apologies for my absence - I pulled a muscle in my shoulder on Monday (when I coughed whilst brushing my teeth!). Will be back soon. : D (((xxx))) ***
whoops...i seem t obe confused...fl7?
see ya, kristinc!!! have fun
Here are some Jammy Cookies (also home-made) for the rest of you. REFRESH.
Mama - they ARE magic muffins... I *hangs head in shame* snuck one, yet the tray is still full!! Jacula - you are a WONDER!!
no...it is fl7...
mmmm.... can I have a jammy cookie too? I only ate half my muffin... really I did!
Jac - you have some amazing recipes!!! I'd weigh 5,000 lbs if I mad that many goodies (I have NO willpower!!)
fl 7 - what you do in water to stay on top of it, minus the a + how old you are
LOL, Mama. Okay, you can have a jammy cookie.
I agree with EB - I very seldom bake for that very same reason.
'CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP, CLAP*
thanks mama...
I think I am going to go take a nice hot bubble bath... have to get up early to sing in church tomorrow morning with one of the choirs I sing with and then there is a concert tomorrow night with the other group. Hopefully, will have time in between to Babble! Anybody need anything before I go and wash the chocolate and jammy off my paws?
our kitchen closes at 9:00 pm so if i get home after that...it's nothing until breakfast...so i think i'll have a cookie!!!!
Are you not at home, Rennie?
That sounds lovely. Have a wonderful soak and good luck on your concert/church singing.
Thanks mab. Love your icon.... so peaceful.
Ren - I've hotmailed you a tray of muffins to keep you going.:-) I'm off to bed now. See you all tomorrow.x
mama - enjoy the bubbles...I still have 15 to go...it'll be slow with the Olympics on!! o.o..o.... ----\O/--- |oooooo| |oooooo| --------- --

Hi everyone -- today was my last day of full time employment at Lenscrafters and how did it end? With the mall closing early due to snow :)
Woulfie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ag6 a + gl5/14
wolfie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are you ready to howl?????
night, mama...bye, jacs...hi, woulfie
Oh, GW!!! I just finally finished my last g'nite post (you know how I am!) .... but I can't go without saying hi to YOU!!!!
rennie - how is is that your kitchen is closed??
Not yet... Seb is sleeping as newborns are wont to do and Kristianna just went into bed and she has a slight cold so I am listening to her on the baby monitor --- she has the hiccups :)
ga5 - an al**** lives in a swamp, sharp teeth... ugly reptile take the ali off
Woulfie... aww....the image is so sweet!!!
Thanks Mama -- I know, I was going to let you go, but when ren and mrp showed up I just had to join the party (*HUG*)
eb - it's just the way mez runs the house...also he is diabetic and doesn't allow us to go to bed w/ a full tummy....
hey grey - ((hugs all round))!!
ren - probably a wise thing to do.... (we can sneak you treats if you'd like...jac left a tray of cookies!!)
thanx, mrp!!
hey mrp (*hug*)
huh? so you showed up for mrp & ren.... but were going to wait for me to leave???? .......*tear trickle*
i promise - i will only eat one....
No, Mama -- I showed up because you were here WITH mrp and ren --- I was trying to be a gentleman and let you get your well deserved sleep :)
*Big Bear Hug for Mama* I'm sure Woulfie didn't mean THAT Mama!!
mama... we are the party girls!! Take the compliment and run with it!!
Done!! Night, all!!

Uneaixoise gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~* SEE YA!!
questions all!? Did hurshy pick today as Brangelina day, or did it just happen to fall on Feb 11 by mistake??
night, une!
Mama -- that's not nice to do to the sleep deprived new father! I have had about 6 hours sleep in the past two nights, with the longest stretch being 2.5 hrs :)
mrp...please explain....what is 2/11????
I'm sorry, GW ..... here, turn around and I'll give YOU a neck rub....... (but truthfully, what you said was very sweet - AND a nice save, too!) thanks!
well.... it is Jennifer Aniston's Birthday today... and Brangelina icon day.... mmmmmm
ok...i didn;t know that!!!
OWL!!!! How are you!?
SOOOOOOOO, "party girls"...... what's happenin'?
How you doin with the grid, Daddio?
So I am wondering what happened to the usual flip time crew this AM -- I was the one finding the biggies and that NEVER happens! Usually, I will find one but everyone else finds all the others ;D
we're eating all the cookies....
you went to bed to early wolfie...
MAMA - PARTY GIRLS!!! We have a reputation to live up to now!!
I noticed that, GW.. you were HOT this am.... sizzle....sizzle.... I didn't find those biggies until this afternoon sometime WITH clues, I might add.
I have 66 to go, Mama -- oh and the reason why Kristianna was crying this AM was that she had her 1st ever nightmare -- all resolved fairly quickly, but you werre gone when I got back on :)
hail mr. p! i have three left and am struggling...
grey... it 'scares' me that you found the fr8 in .02 of a second.... tell us more about your 'unusual hobbies' ??
evening...
Yes I was... neck was hurting and I went to bed. But I scrolled back through the log this morning when I came back on to see what happened... I felt better knowing you came back on and she was ok. Poor thing. Dreams are wonderful... bad dreams are not.
hiya evanout!
LOL, mrp --- my hobbies are not that unusual. It is the hobbies of my friends that are worth writing books about ;)
nut!!!!!! where have you been?????
what's the news?
nursing my charming husband ren.
a clue, please ag 6/24 last pa 5/12
owl... what do you need? hi evan
hey nut!
No, EB, evanIN! LOL
ag6/24 - a + gl5/14
i need an ra6; a to4; and a to5...
pa5/12 - when you are let out of gaol early you are on pa***
what wrong with hubbynut?
mama - i've been messing up my letters all night...not a good thing when you're doing a grid like this!!
mrp -- to further explain, I am not afraid to read anything that is in front of me -- I would rather read an article about unusual subject matter than sit bored in a room
how is he nut?
ra6 - the inset sleeve or the nasty sharp tooth little dinosaur??
same as every month mama - into hospital for the evil medicine
Because he is married to evanoNUT.... thus he is hubbyNUT... perhaps I should go to bed.....
chemo?
great now ren, we just got back from bowling - the man bounce back better than a rubber ball.
i have thos eand also the scow; the one that begins with the golf term
mama, you stay a while longer... I want some more Malibu!!!
Oh I am sorry, evanonut... I did not mean to offend, I did not know he was having treatments. Please forgive me. I hope he is doing well.
thanx, mrp, did not compute the first time around....
actually ren - immunotherapy - worse than chemo if you can picture that.
mama - I thought it was cute...got it right away!!
mama dear - you couldn't offend if you tried.
nut - my mom bounces back as well - of course w/ the demntia - she forgets she has chemo and we just go on our merry way...that's great that hubbynut has that ability!!!
evan... nasty stuff... I have that done too!!
thanks mr. p... i have all of those - are there more?
owl... no more ra6... which others do you need?
yeah, that hubbynut is my hero - always makes me feel like a wonderful wife just cause i stay with him. mr. president - sorry to hear that - i sucks
oops - it sucks, not i sucks
ra 6 - a type of sweater...(or wool...)
evan... I think my husband is a hero cause he stays with me through all the crap!!
what is immuno?
ty for ra's....need a to 4 and a to5...
taking things the body makes naturally to fight cancer - accumulating vast quantities of it, and injecting it into the body in attemp to make the body fight it off.
to 4 & to 5 - do you have the sheet that people where to a party? and the 5 is a latin plural ending
he takes chemo as well, but it's mild and he can take it at home.
t-owl - there are quite a few to 4's... do you have the "Greek/Roman" garment? and the latin plural??
thanks nut - i understand.
back in a few -- Seb wants a clean diaper
ewe, dirty diaper
another to 4 & 5 combo is t + 3 letter word for what sounds like hello in Spanish the 5 is add an n to end
I knew I smelled somethin!
grey... evan wants you to post the dirty diaper to her place!!
i have to4/4 what the romans wore + latin plural; to4/4: to5 = to4/4 + n;to5 having to do with music or colors; to4 half of what you pick up ice with; that plus a vowel; that same to4/6 with "more of" ending;
no thankyou - my dog would eat it.
another to 4 & 5 - a utensil used in the kitchen to pick up hot dogs or something out of boiling water (shaped like an X), minus the s the 5 adds A vowel
ewwwwwwwwwww...gag...gag....
then 4 to 4/4 tor words; then to 5 meaning to sum
ren, your not "working" are you?
sounds like you got em all, did you count?
to 4 - sounds like coca co_ _ then the same + aNother letter
i did...i will have to get bj's list and put them into order
nice clue EB!
uh.....nut...no - i'm suppose to be logged into my office...but uh...i uh...no
Hey, totally of the subject... does anyone ever go on Yahoo and play games there?
to5 - ryhmes with poland... drop the d
all the time mama
Mama - I'll play Bejeweled 2 sometimes....
Do you play Literati?
mama... all the time... which one do you like!?
oh, and... make that totally OFF the subject.
literati is good
mama... have you tried bookworm letter link? it is cute and fun and heaps of words!! google it!!
I have played a few times. It's fun, but it would be "funner" with someone I knew.... wondered if anyone would want to plan on going in at the same time and try to find each other (I'm not sure not that is done since I am still learning the ins and outs)
just one more before I go watch a movie/hubby ro 7/28
you can invite people mama - i'm evanofan in yahoo
sorry again... I am not sure HOW that is done..... paws are sticking together still from the jammy
something that turns around, chic!
chic - ro 7 - the ro _______ cuff (in your shoulder)
Evanonut - but you have to be on line at the same time... when do you play?
I like playing Cubis myself :) and it was only wet :) -- now, of course, I am giving him a bottle, since he is empty ;D
hmmm - have to figure it out, i've never done the inviting on account of every one i know in yahoo does the boring games
Mamabear, try bigfish.com sometime for games also gamehouse.com
yeah, have to be online at same time - you'd have to make an email arrangement i'm thinking
to 5/12?
Have you ever played Literati, GW? it's just like Scrabble. You play against opponents, and there is a live chat box to talk to each other, too.
or addictivegames.com
i like marbles....elctronic marbles....i think marbles are fun and pretty....
Evanonut - on there I am mamabear3cubs
or is it addictinggames.com?
I have checked it out, but never played
to 5/12 - ooo, that weighs a to _ + Princess "_ _"
I used to play that, rennie, but I lost mine!!! LOL
thanx, EB and MamaB only have 13 to go...be back by the flip I hope
bye chic!!
got it all written down mama, we'll make us a date
hey hey US Texas just won the gold!!!!!
I watched it too GW, then just started clicking and all of a sudden I was playing! It's pretty easy to figure out how to play.
count me in evan & mama!
later chic
Sounds good!!!!! mrp - what is your name in there?
what are you all watching?? is the olympics on already??
Yes, mrp - has been on all evening
Mr. Pres - we're watching tape delay of the Saturday events..not the Sunday ones
ah... just checked the guide... 7.30pm tonight... Torino 2006...
There are all kinds of "rooms"... there are a lot of Social Rooms that have numbers. We could pick a number and just all go to that room at a certain time and find each other. Like one day when the grid is small, or something.
mama... I have so many names in yahoo... work, play... some I don't even remember!!! I will email your yahoo account
i think when you set up your own room, you have the power to boot out anyone you don't want
tahnks mr. p...last word: or4
That is true, evanonut! That would be the way to go! What would be good is to IM at the same time. Except I don't have an IM thing set up and don't know how...I could have my daughter help me with that.
or4 when you wash your teeth you have good or** hiegene
renny - goldin what? bode miller?
well, if she sets you up in aol im, i'm evanonut there.
or4 - or + a (double the middle letter)

did it go to my yahoo email address?
72 - i know that msn messenger is compatible with aol, but the yahoo messenger is waaaaaaay better. mama, sent you a new one, check it out.
so woulf - new job on monday?
you would not need it to play, Temple, it would just be a way for us to communicate and navigate us to the same place at the same time. We could use this forum, too until we got the IM thing organized.
i do have a yahoo mail account
yes, we could annoy every wonderfully that way
Btw, Temple -- if you still want to stop by Lenscrafter's to say hi, I will be there on most Saturdays after 2:00 PM
did you send it to mamabear3cubs@yahoo.com? there's nothing there yet
72 - your yahoo mail?
3 stinkin' ag words to go...I'm sure there were clues earlier...but if anyone could help...they are: ag 6/24 ag 5/14 ag 6/24 (all just before the ag 6/33) thanks ever so much!!
shame i did not know you were there today...spent the day at montgomeryville and was considering going to chemical road shops
ok, hang on mama - i never use yahoo mail.
missing the last re6/24 and one of the re5/14 -- have the royal adjective
johnnyd41757
ag 6/24 - add the nickname for Albert to the ag 4 above it
all good now mama - you should have it
ag 5/14 - same as the soft wool word without the n ag 6 is a latin plural ending of this word
Temple -- being in montgomeryville, you were about 8 blocks from my apt :) -- And Plymouth meeting mall closed at 6:30 due to the weather
re 6/24 - add an n to the re 5 above it (do you have that?)
MWAH!!! *BIG BEAR HUG* Thanks Mama!!!! You have 0word(s) left to find
That's the 5 I am missing, Mama :)
I don't think you do. the re 5/14 above it is re + what a chicken lays minus a cons + what you pound into wood with a hammer minus the i

i still have about 15....that's me..doodah daze....
dooh dah? saw you mr p - all in order now
ren -- I've been here how long and only found 7 out of the 69 I have to find == so I still have 62 to go :)

ah fellow babblers....i am pooped! see you all tomorrow - i can babble on shoveling breaks thanks for all of the great clues!
cute image time -- Seb is asleep on my chest, head on my heart, supported by my left arm so I can still type without losing him :)

wolfie - kirsten needs to take a pix so we can see!!!
She can't right now -- she is otherwise occupied -- will see what I can do :)
g'nite, evanonut..... thanks for the tips!
GW - can you answer a Yahoo IM question? I started the download process and there is a security warning that says it might harm the computer. Is that just a "have to say it" type warning? I don't want to hurt the computer.
I honestly don't remeber seeing that -- I just said yes to everything so I could install it
And I take it you had no ill effects to your 'puter?
no probs at all :)
There is, for those who love Scrabble, a fantastic scrabble site where it is easy to play with each other or several players. It is free although they ask for a small donation to cover expenses if you play a lot. the address is: thepixiepit.co.uk
hello all, I'm back with a tummy full of homemade goodies. Mama, you're still here? You were done ages ago! (glad you're here anyway)
I take the blame/credit for Mama's continued presence, kristi ;)
Hi All: Went out to a Valentine Dance tonite so I know I won't finish this still have 35 left, but could anyone help with the fo7/48 Thank you!
Welcome back Kristin... finished not too long ago (watching the Olympics in between)....
hi eva!!
GW - there is a box in the set up that can be checked asking if I want to make Yahoo my default search engine for my Internet Explorer. do I want to check that?
I didn't -- you can always change that later
Hi...EB. Congrats on being done! Just turned the games on myself.
Hi EB!
Hi Kristinc! Hi Eva Yes I am still here. Never got to the bubble bath... got involved in other stuff!!!!!!
I also didn't install the yahoo toolbar
OK. Thanks....brb
fo 7- one who searches for things....
Well Mama, other things being your friend GW--what can you do?!?
(hi speedfreak by the way!!!)
Hi speed -- look I have 50 to go -- so if I can finish so can you, unless you just can't stay around --- so let's work on this together :)
Sorry I meant the FL7 guess its getting late
Hi eva and speed :)
I'm with you GW just an hour to go before the flip...I'll help you with whatever I can!!!
fl 7 - to fl _ _ _ ( in the water) minus the "a" + how many years you are...
kristi -- huh? I was just helping Mama join the yahoo IM community by answering a few questions
that's the spirit - speed -- you clue me and I will clue you --- back scratching can wait till we are done ;)
GW, yeah that didn't make a lot of sense, I was basically saying sticking around to chat with friends is always a good idea!

AR 7 ar + pesky bug ( minus the 'g') + _ _ and fro
lol, kristi -- don't you hate when you discover your fingers lost words as you were typing?
thank yew!!! EB!
both pa7's?
pa 7 - p + the person who rubbed the lamp to get the Genie (missing one "L")
pa7/40 take the one above it pa5/12 add the 2 letter abbreviation for Georgia
pa 7 - the person who 'skins' the fruit + the state abbr. where Atlanta is
I am a D&D player and I missed that one! Guess it's cos I never play one :)
I am almost done with this IM thing then I will be back to help with clues.... sorry. I shouldn't have done this so late.... GW - do I want to check "automatically sign in"???? and "sign in as invisible"?
Mama -- you can change those settings whenever you want -- I do sign in automatically --- the invisible is so you can be logged in without being interupted, but since you don't have many contacts you don't have to
What does the "sign in automatically" mean or do?
automatically starts up messenger when you turn on the computer -- that way if you want to IM you can do so immediately :)
OK. Thanks. I will not check it. I PROMISE I will give the best clues I can in a few mins.
Anyone with a clue for the PL 8 at least trying to get the big ones out of the way!!
Mama -- I have made myself available on messenger so you can send me a message to test when you are done -- you already know my yahoo id :)
I've been very frustrated trying to use photos of my own for icons! I have a Mac, and use iphoto. So I used the second option on the update profile page, clicked on the browse button as instructed, went to my apps, and then to iphoto, but as soon as I click on iphoto to pull up specific photos, it places that address (the iphoto one) into th ebox, which of course doesn't work. Could someone at least marginally less inept at this than I am offer any guidance?
pl 8 - to pl _ _ (evil plan) + same lasT letter + the number of years you've been around...
ar 7/28? help?
Thanks EB! Now at least I haev all the 8's.
Ok I think I am done ..... Now I have to figure out how to use it. Clues first, anybody?
