I have a whopping 22 words and I am stuck :-( to think that I am the one at work who obsessively corrects the spelling (and grammar) in the memos.
He is doing well -- they are keeping him in the hospital primarily as a precaution due to his age -- but since we caught the symptoms just as they first manifested he is not in any serious danger at all
Ah, but paganlady, half the words here are questionable.
PL that is great for a first timer... just keep going...there are little groups of words... just look up and down and all around.....
paganlady--a lot of these words just aren't used in normal conversation. you get better the more often you play.

Blaze -- Saturday he had trouble sleeping and when I noticed that he was wheezing I woke Kirsten who said he should go to the ER -- he caught RSV (a respiratory virus) from his sister -- so they admitted him to the hospital since he is only 3 weeks old

GreyWoulf--oh how scary. My 4-year-old got RSV when he was 3 months and was admitted. I was just petrified, even though he really didn't have as bad a case as he could. Hope your little one is better soon.

Paganlady, the letters in the stats page correspond with the letters in the grid. So if there are two s in the top row of the grid, the stats page will separate them also.

outnumbered -- thanks for the empathy -- it is a bit nervewracking, but thankfully, Momma is a nurse so what we are dealing with is not so much a fear factor as a concern over getting back to our normal routine -- it is very hard on our daughter since she hasn't seen her mother in 2 days -- children under 12 are not allowed in the pediatric wing until April

outnumbered -- my daughter is 2 and a half -- and the vector for the RSV -- when we took my son in for his well baby visit, there was another little boy in the waiting room and she played with him
ch: no. that page and its content are fully functional. I posted it so Babblers can have a look at it. If you want a page to keep in a folder on your hard drive, I can make one for you, so if the page doesn't load, you will still have your own. I made that one in about 15 minutes, so it's easy to do. I will make those pages for anyone who would like one. It's just text, so it's safe to open in your browser.
In any case, GW... although I do NOT believe that families should be separated in hospital settings. Wish they would let siblings see each other, like the birthing suites so many hospitals have these days.

oh gosh, that takes me back. my oldest, then 2, caught it (I imagine at daycare) and gave it to his 3-month-old brother. it was so traumatic for me--dh was at boot camp, and I had a sick 2 y/o and an infant in the hospital.

they both wound up on breathing treatments after...I remember my oldest running circles in the living room from the albuterol! but 2 weeks later both were back to normal.

We are hoping for a Wed return -- they haven't given a specific time frame, but he seems to be recovering fairly quickly since they started with the nebulizer treatments :) They want his doses to be 4 hours apart before they send him home -- so Wed is a reasonable probability

I have never been fortunate enough to be in a chat area where so much of the world is represented and yet everyone gets long so well and is so special to everyone else. I love just sitting back and reading others chat.
That's exactly what I feel about this chat. Well, at least it shows that it CAN be done! :) There is always H4 for the world too then.
I think that is one of the main problems. Individually folks seem to get along quite well. It is when the government steps in and politics get involved there are problems.
I don't chat anywhere else so I can't compare, but people seem to be very kind and supportive here. Now if only the world leaders could learn from us!

Don't know why, but I am having trouble with this grid. Run out of easy-to-find words long before I hit the halfway mark. But slowly getting there :) How are you doing?

Some words I had trouble finding: one of the biggies is R7, plural of compound grass. There is a Pt6/21 (really), drooping eyelid. And there is an S-word that ends in a V.

I will never learn to find the compounds right away. The leggy S9 is so much easier to spot than that Re7. Teaches me something about the way my mind works... I can see patterns in almost everything, but am blind to putting together a few simple things.
Sprite - I set off to look for the s word ending in v then realised I already had it! It'll be a familiar word to lots of British people.
Haz: it was new to me, found it monkeytyping systematically... that's when I know I am in trouble! ;)

TSM - you're lucky you are able to eat. I couldn't eat anything for a while - lost 10lbs during my first three months and was bed-ridden for two weeks and had to be hospitalized for dehydration. I was nauseous my whole pregnancy.

well, lemoned, dont feel bad -- its actually quite common for asian people just learning english to have trouble with the "th" sound, since its just not a sound you make in your own languages. we used to have japanese exchange students when i was younger, and my name, samantha, usually became "samansa" we usually know what you mean. ;)
