drat, it looks small

hurshy, i was going to use that caveman! just saw that commercial a bit ago
haha, i got him first :)
42 words????
hi everyone
42!
t/6 33 t/6 31
told you it looked short. why isn't "argh" a word, bc that is how i feel
wow, i'm getting almost as good as debs
Good evening all -- the smallest yet, I see!
whenever i am feeling too smart, i just get on at the flip with debs. that'll humble me!
Morning Hurshy...Me good!!! At what?....
oh man... sprite is going to hate this grid
finding the long words fast. i already had one when you posted and i found the other right away after
Did I hear my name? LOL Morning dear gang!
morning sprite!!!
t6/21
yeah, sprite you will hate this grid! ;)
That's the only bit of this I enjoy.. finding the long ones.
Words I mean :-s
Let me guess, before opening stats panel... Less than 50 words and half of it starting K?
close enough!
only 25% k
Pfui, 42... that's close to nothing. And K-words. You are right, I will hate this grid very soon. Ywis.
ha 4/9 ha 5/20 ha 4/5 ha 5/12 anyone got the other two?
Hardly worth the brain drain...:-(
25% Ks... worst ever, for sure!
i only have ONE d, weird - it's the dampish one... what else have people got?
i have 21 words so far, are you telling me that half the rest start with the 'k'? i don't think that's possible
only one d (out of 26 words)
there are 10 k's
There are 10 starting K. I am told. Don't want to believe that either.
ha4/8 ha5/18
i have half the k's. just those D's and my two h's and i'll be done
Da4/9 x 2
whoa, that will be a new babble record, i think
hmmm, right after i said that i found 4 k's, but i'm sure that's it, lol
ok, down to 2 d's and 5 k's
Intriguing, how often posting a question makes one find the answer, lol.
i've monkeyed every d i can think of including dh's
i see 'argh' in there - now that's definitely a word, i know, i'm using it right now!
true enough sprite
5 kh's so far
let's compare k's ka 4 8 ka 4 9 kh 5 22 kh 4 9 kh 5 20
oh, that is a big help. thanks unea
yeah, now i just have 5 left, thanks!
ka4/8 x 2
ka 4/11
and the other 4/8 has a plural
yes, got 'em all!
DONE!!!!
21 minutes, somebody take down that babble record for posterity!
4 ka's and 5 kh's--what's the last one?
the last d's were dh 4/10 dh 5/22
see, even fred is celebrating for hurshy
5 ka's
NOW what am i going to do all day
i mean, after i sleep
Stop that boasting please. I have 1 K. ;)
i'll post the complete list on babanon for anyone who wants it. i'll beat brandyjack to the punch :)
how many t's? i've got 4
LOL hurshy.
i think that's it, unea
I need to express my desperation. I just tried 'khaas'.
hurshy - are you finished already?
3 a's?
wow! Hurshy -- way to go!
Congrats, hurshy :)
I'm finished too....... so happy babbling everyone, have fun.
thar she blows!
can anyone clue me on the 6 that's not th 6/33
congrats debs!
see, debs is fast but she isn't so loud about it
congrats, DEbs
if we tell you, you'll say it
WTG Debs :)
no, i'm silly
th6/21
th 6/21 = a slave
Cheers..... Take care, be happy & smile.. Lifes too short xxxxx
ok, i stand corrected, there really are 10 k's in there, lol
btw, "thar she blows!" translation: list is up on babanon
That's hurshy. Finishing first on a 25% K grid and then saying she's silly. Sure. :D
well i gave a clue for the word she already had!
I know. Still think you are smart!
anyway you all gave me clues or i wouldn't have finished so quickly
very impressive, hurshy & debish
21 minutes, 42 words, a nice precise average of 30 seconds per word. this pleases me, as a math teacher.
Got to feed some wild animals... oh wait, they are my kids. Back in a bit.
warai
you're a math teacher hurshy?
yes, calculus and precalc. but i don't like it that much. tutoring is better.
I was going to be a math teacher - just finshed teacher ed - can't do classroom management ---now I'm a tutor
calculus . . . aaarrgghh!!! Finished the puzzle but now afraid to nod off . . . calculus nightmares await!
i know what you mean, caelle
oh... my last word, an a, i have two an 4/4s...
an 4/9
sorry une
but congrats :)
def. not a word. thanks folks i too am done!
how many is that - 4 of us done already?
I see we've flippefd then? Who's here?
amazing - done - wow - that was actually fun
I am here Jac....
that's 5, 5 people finished!
congrats helen!
the 'one club' is growing - great job everyone!
(has anyone noticed that i like to imitate the count from sesame street?)
that was supposed to be the 'DONE club'
42 words? Oh! *Slinks away in a disappointed manner without even glancing at the grid.* Is Doctor_God trying to drive us away??
wondered what you meant, helen - thought maybe you were on the east coast like me...
nope, central, so soon it will be 1
hello, u guys are really quick. all pros?
not helen
i only found this site 2 weeks ago, lol, but i've been coming here religously
go pro, helen! :)
I'm going mental trying to get my last word. PUHleezz a clue for the na 5/12?
hurshy, what exactly does that mean anyway?
na 5 - low point
sassy, it's the pits, lol
it means you get a flag and a little gender person and you can put up icons and see some stats
the icons are the main thing bc we have themes and it's fun
like these cavemen today
icons - you mean the pictures?
yup
Thanks! I can't believe I didn't see that one. It's actually a word I'm familiar with.
na 5,,,, sounds like that Ralph Na*** last name
that's 6, 6 people done! hahahaha
ahhh, how do you know what the theme is, & how do you put the pictures in here - i'm a real 'don't wanna learn too much computer' big baby, lol
the themes are in babbler's profile, and i think on babanon too. and putting up pics isn't very hard. but i'm too tired to explain right now.
i'm done too! thanks for the list hurshy :) i can't do these without one
that's 7, 7 people done! hahahaha
*Jac is sulking and still refusing to look at the grid because it is TOO SMALL!*
ok, hurshy, i'm gonna think about it, thanks for the info
Done -- thanks, Hurshy -- wouldn't have found the last 3 without your list. :)
well jac, it's better than nothing and stop using a word
that's 8, 8 people done! hahahaha
jacula, please don't say 'too small' because you're tempting fate - i sure don't want to see another one of those 400+ ones
hurshy = babble's version of PBS
sorry if that's getting annoying. can we get 10 within the hour?
no, not annoying, charmingly cute
add one more, hurshy :) I'm done...
Good night, everyone -- this is going to be a quiet place tomorrow! :)
that's 9, 9 people done! hahahaha
congrats, Macuser!
ty, nan :)
I believe we once had a 600+ grid. I would prefer that over this one, LOL. Still have Ks missing in action. Somehow my brain goes *poof* as soon I start looking for K-words.
six minutes! anyone else close? i like round numbers. although 9 is a great number.
And congrats to all who have finished before me :)
WTG, all you finishers!
i'm off too, congrats to all finishers! Night everyone!
hurshy saw you are being the count...i'm finished.
FINISHED too!!
that's TEN!!!! TEN people finished! hahahahaha
Yay, Renfield -- you're the 10th!
11!!!!
renfield saves hurshy's day. That's 10! Congrats too.
......and Mr. P -- 11
but let me tell you all how great 9 is. 9 times any number, add up the digits, you get nine!
I love 9. Just don't like Ks.
i was busy begging not to watch the bat!!!
k's .... ppphhhhssssttttt!!
And why not 'argh' but 'aargh' counts?
hurshy, I now have a new found respect for the 9 :)
that must be the official correct spelling, sprite
Leslie is soooo right. I DO hate this grid.
:O
Jacula still refuses to evn view the grid and goes back to her convo on MSN.
Oh Jac, you are pouting! LOL Did I mention I hate K-words?
im done
that's 12! 12 people finished!!!! hahahaha
I need one more G and one more H. Ks are done!
Done!
13! 13 people finished!! hahahahaha
Im stuck on the ka/18
Ka5/18 rhymes with a yellow fruit.
I want this noted. I gave a clue for a K-word!
hurshy? I'm done too.
14! 14 people done! hahahaha (i can't do this all day though...)
WOO HOO I GOT ALL 42!!!
that's 15! 15 people finished!!! hahahaha
Sprite - how can I be pouting when I'm not even looking? LOL.
hahahaha!!! (Maybe 15 should be your cut off point, hurshy)
You can, Jac! :) Congrats all new finishers.
yeah, i should go to bed
Thanks! I'm done too!
sigh. ok. 16! 16 people finished!!! hahahaha
Must be a record, this one. I am off. Thanks for keeping me company in my misery today ;)
Night hurshy. I'm off too.
night all.
morning all. i have finished too........ have a nice day :D
I have 3 ka 4s, 1 ka 5. I cant find the 5th ka
give me th6 and I'll give you the other th6
ok, i'm still here, and that sounds a little kinky...
YEAH I FINISHED TOO!!!!!!
give me a hint on th6 and I'll give you th6!
Still not looking! That silly minimum amount of words is ridiculous.
th6/21 a slave
ok, just to note, we are up to 18, and i'm really leaving now.
finished!!!!!!!! (no great suprise today) What am I going to do with the rest of my day? Suppose I'll have to do some work !!??***??!!
where do I find a th6 slave?
i have two ha4 & ha5 - missing #3 not many choices!
go in the other direction to the other th's
done!! it was a quick one today thanks for the th clue last one i needed.
what will we do till tomorrow ?? Njoy....
where the third ha4 and ha5 - the first two were easy! HA?
HANxx times two were easy but what is the third one? I can't sleep until I find them..
have you got the h4/8?
no - ha4/8 is what I can't see!
it's a babble word. double vowel and count the points.
thanks - sure didn't know that one - now I can sleep
Hi All - what's this? An itty bitty one for today.
Hi Dianne, it is a very small one today, got most of the words in 30 mins but not a single k yet!
Hi all yesterday i didnt have time to finish..today i have all day and its such a little one !!!(moans) I will have to do the painting now!!!!
Hi Fmitch - it sure is small. Just finished the p, r, s & t words. On to the K's.
I know the feeling caitlyn!!
I should have said the deaded painting!!!!!!
Hello again everyone. First off, to get you all relaxed, I will play Fleetwood Mac's 'Albatross'. Then I'll play you 'Oh Well, Part 1' for the grid... I can’t help about the shape I’m in I can’t sing, I ain’t pretty and my legs are thin But don’t ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to Oh well Now, when I talked to God I knew he’d understand He said, stick by my side and I’ll be your guiding hand But don’t ask me what I think of you I might not give the answer that you want me to Oh well. Now, I'll play you 'Oh Well, Part 2' to relax you again. LOL.
Morning Jacula I like Albatross!!!!!!!!!LOL
Listen next to 'Love That Burns', a great blues track.
Its a lovely spring morning shouldnt we be singing somethig like All things bright and beautiful ?
Indeed! Let's go for Sibelius then... and one of my favourite hymns: We plough the fields and scatter The good seed on the land, For it is fed and watered By God's almighty hand: He sends the snow in winter, The warmth to swell the grain, The breezes and the sunshine, And soft, refreshing rain. Refrain: All good gifts around us Are sent from heaven above; Then thank the Lord, O thank the Lord, For all his love.
(But I've still Got Fleetwood Mac in my headphones!)
Im enjoying our sing song this morning thanks Jacula!!
Shall we go for Onward Christian Soldiers next, then, Caitlyn? Another hymn I like. Fleetwood Mac's Dr. Brown is playing in my headphones now, and it makes me feel sad and a bit bitter...
How aboutFight the Good Fight with all thy Might ??
That sounds pretty good compared tro Stevie Nicks' 'Wild Heart' (in myb headphones right now).
Hang on! Just have to give the keyboard a shake. Someone has cocktailed all the keys!
Are you at work or home Jacula?
Hi Guys - how is everyone ding today?
Hi Kaynanda I havent spoken to you since last week How are you enjoying the game ? (Im great on this lovely spring morning enjoying singing with Jacula)
Done :) Now what?
Dianne .....and me Im going to do some decorating..want to help?
decorating... can I help
hang on. Academy Awards are on!!
Yes please mrpresident We can think of odd babble words while we paint LOL
... what a great intto!!
Hooray for Wallace & Grommit!
I mean intro
What are we decorating?
We are decorating 2 sitting rooms!!
Caitlyn - have been racking my brians for this - but am enjoying it thoroughly
Thats great news Kaynanda
I had better go now I will supply overalls and refreshments for you all .Catch you later bye
hi everyone!
Good morning, Atalante and everyone else.
what a strange little puzzle after yesterday's effort!
good afternoon everyone from perth west australia where it has been over 100 for the last couple of days and more suffering to come!
It's like alphabetti spaghetti with not enough normal letters.
perfect description!
At home, Caitlyn, but still not looking at grid. Have just been advising my son on a Uni essay re a book critique on Socialism. I've quoted Orwell, and then sent him off with books from Orwell, Thatcher, Churchill and another.
Seems my knowledge is coming into its own at last, re my kids' education. LOL.
i know that feeling jac
Jacula - I'm in the same position. This past weekend was spent trying to unravel Irish history for my eldest daughter.
And, even though I am The Spelling Demon, don't expect me to spell after no sleep!
pres are you still here
But Jacula, you managed to work your apostrophes properly!
Lol Hazel. Tomatoe's on sale here!!!!! Potatoe's 80p a pound!!!!!!! Cucumber's going cheap!!!!!! Every thing at nock down prices!!!!!!! LOL.
Oh Jacula - it makes me feel queasy to see them!
Nice sunny morning here. Looks quite lamb-like at present...
It's pleasant here as well - though still freezing cold. The sheep behaved themselves last night, so no 3.00 am calls.
So, what time did hubby warm himself on your limbs?
haz are you on a farm (we have two little brown sheep)
We got to bed at around 1.45 (thanks to me wanting to finish babble). He hadn't been out recently so he was at a civilised temperature.
Sandyloo - no, I'm not on a farm, just married to a vet. This is our busiest time of the year with all the lambings and calvings.
That's nice to hear, Haz.
Thats it then - finished before 10am (just been reading through the log). I had to give up yesterday, short of 99 words, I jnew I should never have started.
how nice i have two cousins who are vets so i get some free advice lol- we live in the city but are about to move to our 7.5 acres with 2 horses 2 sheep 2 dogs 2 cows and some chooks!
ExWren - given the 300+ size of yesterday's grid, it seems to me that you conducted yourself very well!
I only used a2z once, for the kh's. I've never used a word beginning with 'kh' in my life (until today)
Sandyloo - if you have that many animals then a move to the country is definitely called for!
khaki -ex-Wren?
whoops, I forgot khaki!
Damn! Ex Wren, I do hope there are only two KH words. I just had to look for them and find them on firdst monkey typing, didn't it?
I've finished as well. I checked back through the log to see how other people had got on and it looks like it'll be a quiet day on the chat log.
There are FIVE kh words Jac
Are there, Spellit? Oh, bugger!
yes it seems everyone goes to bed when i come on
I think a lot of people have finished early today - smallest puzzle I have seen
5 left
3 left
Simon & Garfunkel - Keep The Customer Satisfied. In my headphones now.
No, the trumpets in tharthave not woken me sufficiently. I don't think the architect track that follows will do so either.
No matter! My fave Simon & Garfunkel track is playing now... The Boxer.
Jac I love "So long Frank Lloyd Wright"
FMitch - thank you for joining in my music fest. I still think The Boxer's their best though.
I still have the vinal copy of Bridge over troubled Water.
So do I!
Baby Driver's playing now. Fun song!
LOL
Reminds me now of my daughter when she got her licence a couple of years ago and went speeding off in her little blue Frog.
Have you finished the gr4/7 ?
No, I haven't finished the gr4 (you just forced me to find another word!). I'm not doing the grid on principle; it's too small! LOL.
Oh go on, you know you want to, just don't blink otherwise you will miss it!
No, I really do not want to. I'd rather listen to my Simon & Garfunkel cd.
Enjoy your music Jac, I'll be back later.
It's bad enough that I've had to find 23 words now, simply through folks on here on off, speaking to me! DR_GOD! a grid this small is a joke not even worth laughing at! Take note from a Momma that's booked up for the 1st Monster of Rock Fest for a decade and is finally gonna see Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, Ted Nugent and Thunder again. LOL.
Ghoood morninkh. That was strange. Learned some new words.
Simon & Garf - Song for the Asking - sweetest song I've ever heard next to Black Sab's 'Laguna Sunrise' and Slade's version of John Sebastian (of Lovin' Spoonful)'s version of Darling Be Home Soon.
However, Bridge Over Troubled Water is playing now. That's 'our song'. Paul, you know what I'm on about.
Maybe we should try solving this grid in another language? There must be one which uses lots of k's and a's?
oooh, Bridge Over Troubled Water! Haven't heard that in a long time, but what a beautiful song. One of those that immediately makes one feel company, evenin the darkest times.
Exactly, Eva.xx
advertised as "LIVE" acadamy awards... my arse!!
pardon, Mr Pres?
I've got 2 da4/9 - can someone give the counts for the other 2? Somehow it seems less desperate asking here than looking at BJs list!
don't worry - found them :)
Good, didn't want to have to find more words on this stupidly small grid.
Hey guys - how do I know hw many words are left to be found?
There are only 42 words today.
da 4 9 da 4 9 dh 4 10 dh 5 22
My new granddaughter was born yesterday at 3.12pm! Millie Louise
Welcome to the new baby babbler!
Hello
N. A clue? :)
(((zubie))) long time no see, darnit just as I am going out the door. How are you? na5/12 A point on the celestial sphere directly below the observer, diametrically opposite the zenith. cograts spellit, love the baby's name.
Hi Mitch. Hugs. :D The long time no see is entirely my fault. I've not been here much. How are you? Zenith? Ugh.
Oh yes. Got it. Silly n. :D Thanks, Mitch.
I doing fine thanks zubie, just sorry I can't stay and chat, have to go to the post office. take care.
Dammit! Just finished the grid by accident.
ROFL Jac!!!
You take care too, Mitch. :) Buy lots of pretty stamps, okay? :D Lol Jacula. Accidental finish? In Babble? That's got to be a first! ;)
Oh well, Zubie, at least I'll go down in history for something!
# of words today please
42 words
I've never heard of a Babbler intentionally trying NOT to finish a g4! :)
Slayer - a measly 42 words today.
I am very cross with Dr_God that it's so few.
compared to yesterday this will be easy
In fact I'm thinking of e-mailing him lots of ZZ Top songs played backwards! LOL.
Famous last words...
Don't say that, Jacula! I'm delighted that it's so few! I got to play today, because of the g size!
Oh, okay, Zubie. I like 200+ grids myself.
yesterdays grid was easier than this one
I know - they're nice if there's time for them! But I've been short of time for the past few weeks so no babbling. :/
mornin babblers!!
Zubie - I know what you mean - but it's nice to have something to get your teeth into, even if you don't finish. I'd barely nibbled today, in fact hadn't even checked the grid. Somehow, I got the words from just talking!
Lol Jacula. You're making me laugh. :) I've just finished. Nice little friendly thing today; didn't try to trick me.
wow, 5 minutes and halfway done... usually the small ones are the toughest ones for me!
Got to run. Later.
Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans. John/Yoko Lennon 1980.
down to my last 2 Gs... a 4 and a 5
oops! nevermind!! You have 0word(s) left to find woohoo!
Fireworks for Evanadine.
thanks jacula. :)
Anyone have a clue for th 6/21? Thank you.
heh, you just said it -- make it plural.
KrAc - Evanadine just said it.
wow...that was easy compared to yesterday
ooh, holy cow, i did! man, theres a word to watch out for...heh
I'll just keep on listening to John Lennon singing 'Imagine'.
wow I did the whole thing an hour. What will I do the rest of the day? LOL I better get a life
i know how you feel fit! i did the whole thing in under 30 minutes...im done before breakfast!
Evan, my sentence didn't make sense. It should have read in less than an hour. It was actually less than 30 minutes, and without any use of AtoZwordfinder. Wow. Good thing I have plans the rest of the day, or I'd go nuts.
And I just did the whole bloody grid by accident! That's pretty annoying, as I had no intention of doing it.
Lets' face it Jacula. We're all too brilliant for our shirts. LOL
im at work + we have almost nothing in for today, at least as of right now... we have an "extra" project to work on, so i guess ill be doing that today...yknow, since they refused to shell out overtime pay for it...
I have the th 5/20 & th 6/33 - plural of th 5/20, what did I miss that Evandine said th 6/20?
So it would seem,Fit1, since the words, on the whole, weren't every day ones!:-/
sorry krajcd55 -- the other TH6 is a 6/21 TH + pirates favorite letter + 1st 3 letters across the top
Kraj - she said: evanadine thanks jacula. :)
th6/21 - you can be fascinated or held in 'th****' by something or someone.
Try looking up 'enslave'. LOL.
thank you!
Morning, sandy!! You still here? Hope you had a great weekend.
Morning all!!
Morning, Kate. How are you?
Am better than ysterday, Jac..TY..I am thinking they may have to put me on insulin since my sugar values are so screwed up..ack
Morning all!
Well, wait and see what they say.
four more to go..2 gs..and 2ks..i have all my khs..dang!!
okay..i found one more k..so now 3 words..am off to buy some cigs!! Good luck all..:)
Morning, Jen.
Kate - you smoke and swim?? I smoke, but somehow, I am surprised when others do.
Why did Babble not allow the kh4/12 for like ever then all of a sudden decide to allow it? :(
hi everyone!
Hi TO!
LK - it's been a while! how are you?
T OWL What part of the states do you live in?
TO, I just noticed you went pro! :)
shorty - i livei n PA
cool
Done. That gr4 was just one big monkey-type, wasn't it!
ugh ugh (caveman for good morning)
lol doxy!
Where are all the cavemen? Hi everyone Shorty, Jen, Doxy, Jacula, Temple, Lianakate, Evanadine and anyone that I may have missed. It this for real "42 words"
hi faeriekae
yes its for real:(
Doxy-LOL you are toooooooooooo funnny
Howdie faeriekae! I'm off... must unpack from our month-long sojourn. Have a great day all!
bye jen
Shorty-don't you look hot * wow *
i have cavemen...
Bye Jen sorry I missed you.
thank you :)
Temple-give up the cavemen or will hit you on head with with with my purse lol
I have to go take my mom to the airport. Will be back later. Everyone have a great caveman day.
by the way Temple congrats on going "pro" so tell us more where in the US are you?
bye doxy
Doxy-bye :)
i am in PA - guess i should put that in my profile
Ok, PA that's great place been there many times.
well i must go - BBL after lunch probably - happy babbling!
later Temple :)
faerie -- great mind think alike *points to icon*
Evan-thank you very much. You had no idea I had the such a hard body did you? LOL
that makes 2 of us! ;)
I do have the chest part. Had to buy it though LOLOL
yes, thats an area im greatly lacking in...heh
The best money I've ever spent...No joke.
faerie just curious, how much of an increase did you make, and did you do it for yourself or the man in your life?
i just wish they could start at my ankles + push all the extra fat upward...heh
The cost was like $4500.00 In and out in about 4hrs and 1 wk recovery and then a life time of, oh yes they are really mine. I bought and paid for them so yes the really are mine. LOL
ok...stuck on 28...can't believe 41 are actually in there!
gobraves -- 42...hehe
gee thanks evanadine...now I feel better :-))
faerie -- really, only one week of recovery? i always thought it was like 6 or 8 weeks...or more!
GoBraves-Not married, no real man in my life. I date once in awhile. So I did it all for me. I was almost an A cup 34A and went to 34C. I'm rather small so I couldn't go really big. And I feel great about my self.
thats exactly about the size id go if i ever did it... no stripper-boobs, just something that looks nice in clothing!
Stripper boobs are overrated and all you have to do to get them is gain a bunch of weight. This I know...
Oh, and hello!
thanks faerie, and good for you...we all have to be who we are, you know I have an old college roommate who is a plastic surgeon and they do some really amazing things for people's self confidence, and lots of reconstructive work too
hah, mornin smithy
that's exactly it. I couldn't wear a pleated top because it looked like a little 10yr old trying to ware a womans top. Buying clothes is fun now where before I just hated it.
LOL smithchick
LOLOLOL Smith- goodmorning...
not that ill be wearing bikinis anytime soon, but i always wanted nicer boobs just to fill out a friggin swimsuit! and i dunno how many dresses ive fallen in love with that i cant wear cause i dont fill out the top section...
Good morning, faerie! Two of my sisters bought themselves boobs and they love them. You have to be careful though. One sister's are leaking and have actually gotten smaller.
GoBraves-Thank You. So many people believe that if you get a boob job it's just wrong but even my Mother who is 88yrs old has told me that I look better and that she is proud that I had guts enough to do it. My brothers tease me abit but thats ok....
hey, i say as long as youre doing it to make YOURSELF happier, thats the right reason. dont do it for a man (one you have, or one you hope to get), dont do it to fix a lack of self-esteem (though it often helps that) do it because you want to.
Smith-One of best freinds in the whole world had it done also "she didn't need to, she needed lift and that's all" but anyway, she got infection then one went flat and it has been 2yrs of surgerys for her. She went to a 44DD....
You are welcome faerie...lots of people spend too much time worrying about others, almost a form of self assessment I think - if I say something derogatory about person X, that somehow makes me better because life is a zero sum game. Whatever.
yikes on the 44DDs...as a guy that is scary, kind of like Dolly Parton at the Oscars last night.
Dang! I'm not even that big after weight gain! I was an E while nursing babies but about 36 around at the time. I guess I was about a 12 or 14 pant size. I would like to get a lift when I can afford it. But if anything I'd go a little smaller. Big ones don't look good in clothes either. (unless you're Pamela Anderson).
hi everyone!!! just got back from a boring day at school :(
hi bex
Change of topic may be in order! Hey, bex!!!
Brave-you are right. It was stricktly all about me. Yeah 44DD was way over the top but she is short round girl and thought the bigger she went the smaller it would make her waist look. I told her to go on a diet and that would actually make her waist smaller but she thought this was easier.
hey so hows everyone?
Bex-Hi how are you and why are you not in school?
sorry I see you just got home from school.
LOL, faerie! I'm a short, somewhat round person myself. Luckily, although I'm overweight, I'm proportional. Who wants to be so top-heavy it looks like you're going to fall over any minute? Makes me think of Weeble's wobbling!
any help with the kh 5/ 22? it's my last word!
Smith-LOL-that's exactly what she looks like but worse yet, undressed the look square.
that is funny smithchick and I agree with you faerie whatever someone has done it should never be a substitute for trying first to be as healthy as you can through diet and exercise
my school finishes early on mondays for teacher training so insted of half 3 i finish at 2!!!:)
Don't have that one either, mia...
mia---starts with kh, ends with an i
Hello all
hiya toesock
TSM-Hello :)
yay, thanks! :) done.
yw mia...stuck at 31 here..sigh
Hey, TSM!! Yay, mia!!!!!
hey Toe SockMonkey have you ever heard of Country Woman Magazine?
Mimetro - Congrats!
Yes, I think I have.... why do you ask sugar? :)
Theres an article about toe sock monkeys :)
I gotta be busy I have posted "2" words so far. LOL
I've got 12 left.
all the other conversation got you distracted faerie :-) so tell me, what was the first thing you bought after your change so that you could see the results you wanted?
go Smith, go Smith (*^_^*)
Make that 7. Yuck words...two g's, two h's and three k's...
shorty! Ah! no way! I am going to s top at the store on my lunch break. I will have to pick up a copy :) Thanks!
Your Welcome Hon!
you should be a California Angels fan, toesock they have those silly rally monkeys...similar to toesock ones
Go Mia! Go Bravo! Go smith ! WOOT!
excellent, we have a cheerleader
Braves-Bathing suit.....then a new darted blouse, lavandar with just a few tiny white flowers....
im a chearleader!!!
lol Bravo! Sounds great! I just became the #1 fan to the Angels! lol
Bex-come on - give us a cheer.
I was a cheerleader a bajillion years ago in high school...Does that count?
yay bex...now we have 2 cheerleaders makes sense Faerie...did it take you awhile to stop doing double-takes in the mirror?
Up to 3 now....we almost have a full squad
give me a b- a - b - b -l-e gooooooo babble!!!!!!!!
Braves-lol-I still do double takes in the mirror. "who is that woman" lol
*cheers for bex* Nice :)
Let's hear it bex, I just finished my k's! Down to two g's and two h's!
Great Bex (clap, clap, clap)
I'll bet, even with working out or losing weight or whatever I do that and those are more gradual changes so...gotta ask....how long was it before you were in a social situation and were really conscious of being viewed differently?
*does a back flip* Woooo! *does the splits* WOOO HOOO!
This is an enthusiastic crowd today, very nice for a Monday
im going out running later!!!!
Dang, TSM! You're gonna pull something if you're not careful! I can still do a mean kick and splits for someone who is a size 16, had four babies and is old!
Bye, bex!
already got my 5 miles in this monring Bex...how long are you going to run?
dont no really never measured it!!!
I might have to hate you GoBraves! You're making me feel guilty enought that I might actually get on the treadmill today.
Brave-funny you ask that....It was at a wedding and I was wearing my "little black dress" I had about 50 people come and say " wow you look great - did you visit Victorias Secret?" and I just nodded and said yes. Actually I had been to VS so no lies were told...lol
that's cool...have a good one anyway and good for you...a great habit to start
Bex, bye
sorry smith, what can I say. It's my addiction I guess Faerie, good for you, that had to be really fun. Can imagine a temptation to flirt in ways that hadn't been there before
smith that is awesome! I am double jointed.... nearly every where so it doesn't hurt tooo bad :)
im not going till half 6!!!
wow toesock that sounds interesting to say the least - you should be a gymnast
Brave-no, I'm still just me...It didn't change me at all just my body.
I just looked at your profile again, TSM and I don't imagine with stats like that it hurts at all! Aaah, to be young and fit again! I guess technically, I could be fit again but the young thing is definitely not happening. Enjoy it!!
Smith-if you really want to hate Toes go to her web page. She is beautiful... Yes Toes you are beautiful and you should be enjoying every second of you life...
That makes sense the only 2 things my old roomy has shared with me re the work he does that bums me out are 1 - how many people are having the stomach staple work without first trying to change their lifestyle to at least develop better habits to make life easier postop, and 2- parents who buy their daughters new boobs for high school graduation. No lie. Like I said everbody should do what is best for them, but to me at 17 or 18 how could you possibly know that?
Oops, I forgot my caveman... Be right back...Got to go change!
Okay, refresh!
smith-aren't you cute aweeeeeeeee
I agree GoBraves. Not to mention that at that age, their bodies are still changing. I was two cups sizes smaller before babies. Even after I'd lost a lot of weight, after babies I stayed bigger up top. It would have been a waste of money to buy at 17 what I was going to grow anyway.
Not to mention the message that is sending to the kids about their parent's opinion of them and their values. It should definitely be an individual choice. My sister worried that I would judge her, but I just told her I had no frame of reference for her feelings, and she should do what made her feel better about herself.
How can two h's be so hard to find?
makes sense Smithchick I feel bad for teenagers and young adults these days to some extent because of all the marketing efforts around body image and drugs to improve sexual performance. It's got to be confusing - I mean we evolved as a species for a long time without these things, you know?
Will someone please give me a clue for the ha4/8?
Smithchick - there are two vowels used in the word
Braves-That is just wrong. At such an early age to alter your body is wrong....You are still growing and going through so many changes. And the stomach staple, well that is good for people who have tried everything else first and there is nothing left especially if at a life threating weight. I know 3 people who had the stomach staple and it was because the doctor said they were morbidly obese and it would save thier lives. and it did.
Never mind, finally monkeyed the dang thing. Finished!
Hey, haz. I love how you always come out of lurking to helpl me! Thanks!
bravo and fearie, thank you! very sweet of you :) I don't think i could ever do anything serious with gymnastics. Not sure I would be good at it. Besides, they look for people that start out as kids doing that...
You're welcome, Smithchick - looks like I was just that bit late.
SMith *%*%*%*%**%*%*%*BOOM*%*%*%*%*% *%**%* Congratulations.....
faerie and smith I agree....but more people are looking at the staple thing earlier as a quick fix apparently congrats on finishing!
Smith! Congrats!!!
A warning about gastric bypass. I've known a lot of people who have done it and they stretch it back out and gain weight back and get sick when they eat certain things or eat too fast, etc. Can't eat a lot of roughage, etc. After seeing someone very close to me, after she had it done, and watching her be sick after eating a tablespoon of food... No thanks!
Thanks everyone! My hubby is gone again and I finally have time to hang out and it's a short puzzle today. I guess I'll just hang and chat a while. Haz, did you get some uninterrupted my lamb-birthing sleep last night?
that is what I have heard and was referring to smith - people who thought it would fix them cosmetically without being really aware of the life altering implications, and without trying to change habits beforehand to make the transition less difficult. Doctors try to help people understand that in advance but apparently it doesn't really sink in with some folks
Beware the stomach stapling. One of my dearest friends lost her husband as a result of that surgery. He died three years ago.
SMith-one of the guys I work with had it done and he lose 175 lbs 1/2 his weight. He looks great and he says he feels good but you can tell there are days when he has ate the wrong thing and he is sick as can be.
Only 2 to go....any help for the th6 or na5?
Yes, thanks, Smithchick. The night was uninterrupted by any emergencies.
How awful, munner. Hi, by the way. Yes, it can be dangerous.
ouch munner
th + consonant + another word for entire
th 6 - one is to express gratitude, the other is someone who is in slavery.
th6 is a plural of one you already have the na5 is a lowpoint, the opposite of how you will feel when you get these last 2 words :-)
Really, how healthy can it be if you have to go throw up everytime you eat vegetables or chicken.
BOOM! ~O~ ~*~ (*) () * *
I don't like throwing up...
I think that has to be used when Faerie says, to literally save someone's life by restriciting food intake
any clues on 6's?
I now have a total of "5" words. lol
glad to know faerie...LOL...I would worry about you if you did
Are all the g-words gr?
There are two gn words
there are at least 2 gn's munner think surfing and skateboarding dudes
Thanks Haz, so easy to see now.
th6/33 - expression of gratitude th6/21 - one who is enslaved
Brave-there are people who do that to be skinny. Not me I'll just stick to my excrise program and watch what I eat and no food after 2:00 pm Works for me and I'm healthy. I have a good breakfast and a good lunch then I'm done for the day.
good deal faerie, and besides if you didn't do that you would stop having those wonderful double take moments
Thanks. With all this "take care of your body" talk, I'm trying to finish and go out walking. I keep waking up with lower backache (and still have some leftover side effects from chemo and radiation), but I'm adopting my 5-year-old grandson's (Aiden) philosophy when he's sick: "I'm trying to feel better."
your right....thank you for reminding me. (*^_^*)
Let us know if you need any help, Munner.
Finished! I hadn't tried dh, and that was it! Enjoy your day, everyone. It's beautiful sunshine, and I can hear birds singing outside. I'm going to just enjoy the sights and sounds as I walk.
Woo-hoo! All done. Thanks for the tips!
Have a lovely day, Munner.
Munner-chin up and don't ever give up. I have 3 sisters who went through it and just from watching them I know I can endure anything...You are so blessed to have been able to have the doctors you have.
Munner - Congrats
Lauren - Congrats
Lauren and Munner - congrats
Oh, how cute, munner. My problem (well one of them) is that the major bonding ritual between my mom and sisters and me involves just the girls going out to eat. Usually dessert. It makes it very difficult.
YAY Munner!!!
And Yay, Lauren!!!
There are only 13 on the word list today that I have ever used! I think the linguistics class I took about 10 years ago must have helped out today.
I agree munner, this one in an exercise in obscurity
Definitely a bunch of strange words.
Smithchick, are you sure we're not related? Good food is the number 1 rule when our family gets together, and I mean good-tasting--not necessarily good for you.
anyone else keep trying to make aphid out of this jumble?
Definitely, Munner. We never bond over broccoli!
Haz - thank you!
Wait! Who is vomiting!? :(
Y'all are a breath of fresh air in my morning ritual. Now...on to the fresh air. Will be back tomorrow.
hopefully no one TSM
Munnner-Bye :)
I work with the girls youth group at church and last Wednesday, we decided to bring them treats. We are usually stuffing cookies and cakes and brownies down them, so we thought we'd be healthy and make fruit and dip and a vegie platter. They didn't eat much of it. They looked at us like we were psycho for not bringing the good stuff! Where are the OREOs!
OMG! Faerie are you puking!?
Bye, Munner! Enjoy your walk!
that is funny smith, but the right thing to do actions speak a lot louder than words
TSM-NO....I simply said that there are people who do that to stay skinny....Not me...
speaking of this lovely new topic, has it ever amazed anyone else how many slang words and phrases there are for that particular act? kinda funny
*hugs fearie* thank the Lord!
Smith-you should try it again and see what the reaction it..you never know they may start to like it.
TSM aweeeee you are so sweet. ((((((((x))))))))
My 11 yr. old daughter came home talking about people who vomit (there you go, GoBraves) so that they don't get fat. We had to have the whole discussion about how unhealthy that is.
wow smith....glad she talked to you about it apparently that dates back many days, to at least the roman times
We probably will. One lady brought chocolate-covered strawberries. They were a hit, needless to say!
your right Brave - lots of slang terms
Faerie - kind of like our earlier topic, lots of slang words and language for them too. It's interesting the things people invent colorful terms fo
She's pretty sensible. Although she does already worry about being fat. She likes to be active and exercise, though.
Braves-yeah like purging...I purge the refrig once in awhile thats about it. lol
Smith-just keep talking to her and let her know that we are all diffrent sizes and it's ok. Encourage her to get outside and get exercise.
That is a good use of the word...I purge the garage on occasion too. I can think of lots of words for that whole topic and for bosoms too...although I will refrain, I just find it amusing what inspires people to be creative linguistically
such as Hooters, Knockers and words like that??? I just call mine "my girls" lol
LOl, faerie...
i only have 7 words:(
yeah, exactly maybe it's topics that are slightly taboo for some reason that inspire us so. Obviously lots of words for "guy" parts too. I can't think of lots of synonyms for less taboo things, like the aforementioned brocolli for example. We don't waste our creative energies that way :-)
Bex- Hi, didn't realize you were still here...sorry about the conversation we were having....tee hee....don't be discouraged I only have 12.
afternoon all having a sit down after doing decorating!!! How is everyone?
Hello, caitlyn!
th6/21 one who is ensalved... I can't get for some reason. Any other clues? :)
hi caitlyn
Caitlyn-Hi what are you decorating?
My 2 sitting rooms !! Im not in the mood though this morning mrpresident offered to help!!
Caitlyn-are you painting or what are you doing?
Hi all. TSM th6 go left and diagonally up
TSM - when you add an "en" as a prefix, it means being really really captivated
ok, i have 10 words...is that all?
Faerie lots of emulsion and lots of gloss paint!!
unfortunately no Mark, there are 42 hiding in there
hello, FMitch and Mark!
ok...10 REAL words, and 32 Babblicious-made-up words....
mark...someone who finished awhile ago said there were only 13 she had ever used conversationally, so yes you are on the right track
Caitlyn-sounds beautiful....can I help? I love decorating. If I lived closer I would love to lend a hand but seeing that big pond between us sort of puts a halt to that...lol
Mark LOL
I have the egyptian a/4 and the picnic a/4 May I have a clue for the other a word please.
Thanks for the offer Faerie I would really loved your help!! We could always make up babble words while we work!
well all....gotta run...have enjoyed the schmoozing and perhaps I will come back later for my last 5 babbilicious words
a/4 = a fictional gnome-like creature whose name is unpronoucable, due to its solitary vowel
bravo! *hugs* thanks!
Bye, GoBraves!!!
think multiple kournikovas, eren
hello all! All done! actually found 15 words that I have used before. gr** went way to quick today and I had nothing to offer for the discussion about names for body parts or puking! guess I better work
will hang around if anyone needs clues on words I don't use or understand
"adht" comes from the germanic and sounds a bit like "odd", a descriptive way of thinking of these bizarre little creatures...
Caitlyn-that wouldn't be too hard now would it. From the looks of this gr 4/6 we could come up with lots better words. I'm thinking of a lot of words we could use.
Brave-Bye enjoyed the chat
Hello, dl.
thanks faerie, tsm, smithchick et al and have great days
Bex are you still here? I still only have 12 words.
Faerie if we get my 14month old granddaughter to monkey type i wonder how many words she could come up with!
of course, there's also the plural a/5 "adhts" and the a/7 "adhtlla", their communal dwelling-place...
Good morning all, I've been Babbless for two days and then a 42 word grid? Sniff..
thanks :)
Hi bunny nice to see you !!
Caitlyn-LOLOLOL-turn her loose and see....I bet she can get more than 12...LOL
Hi, eren and bunny!
Bunny-Hi (((X)))
well, i think im done with my 14 REAL words...for some reason Babble wont take "adht"....should be a real word....i think the "adhts" are responsible for this horrid gr4/6!
Have a wonderful day bravo!
Missing a G... I have gn4/6 gr4/6 gr4/7 x3
Has everyone gone home?????
add aone point letter on to the gn4/6
gr 5/14 builds off the 4/6
gn5/14
Wow duh... thanks! :)
Bex how are you doing? I'm up to 16 words now.
13!!!!!!!
Well, I've got to go pretend to be a housewife for a while instead of a babbler. Bye everybody!
bye smithchick!!¬!
Bye smithchick lol
Bye Smith
Smith-Bye :) happy wiiiefeieifing
ok, so ive found half (21) of the "words"....
what are they Mark? *tee hee*
*updates icon* since captain caveman was so popular today, ive updated to another of my 80s favorites. :)
Faerie...get me a job and ill tell you ALL of them...
Evan-I can't see who it is? soooooooo?
Ok, does the fact that I have actually used at least 20 of the 25 words I've found so far make me a total geek?
I wanted to use George of the Jungle bacause Brendan Frasier looked so good in a loin cloth, but he didn't really live in a cave!
clan of the cave bear. :)
Clan of the Cave Bear - I loved that movie - I'm not a movie person but that was one that I actually sat through...
mmmmmm he sure did!!!
Jae-Yes
every time i come on february 17th's game is up and just in case anyone was interested ....Feb 17th is international cabbage day!!
Hi shorty- that got your attention didn't it *grin*
*potty break*
We should try to put all the words from today's puzzle in a sentence! Here's a start: It's hard to get a gr 4/7 on today's gr 4/7 gr 4/7 ;)
I can't feed my husband cabbage, so we couldn't celebrate!
LOL It sure did :)
lol bunny
Jae-LOL good one.
i have 2 left to get
All the words in ONE sentence? Or all the words in sentences?
try guinness on the 17th instead!
I have 8, those k's are getting me.
i have one k and one a
Go sandyloo Go!!!!!!!!
All the words in one sentence! Totally.
it would be my first (complete grid that is)
I'm new - how do you know how many words there are in a given puzzle?
18 left for me to fiiiiind! :) Peek-a-boo! lol
Icp, you have to upgrade to get the stats or visit the Babbler's Anonymous web site :)
icp i think you have to pay a small fee and then you will be able to see everything but todays grid is small and there are only 42 words -usually there are hundreds thats why im nearly there today
any clue on the "N' word ?
The simplest way is to ask - there are 42 today. If you need more information, click on Babbler's Anonymous link (right hand side, below Friends of Babble). Then click on General and Stats and you will find statistics there relating to each day's puzzle.
me too TSM
n word is the lowest point. It's been on a few grids recently.
no abnormality detected and then i ran
i know that the "N" word is definitely NOT in this puzzle!
shorty and faerie.... icons are Hooooooot! Rawr! lol

can anyone help with the th 6 letters i have the one that is polite when you recieve somthing???
No i have not gotten the N but I know there is one!
caitlin is that your picture in the icon
Actually I think the fact that I know a lot of these words has something to do with the fact that I took Hindi in college. But I am sure THAT makes me even more of a geek ;)
toesock i gave u a great clue: no abnormality detected and then i ran
Bex - just add one letter - to give th****
Yes sandyloo taken on one of my better days !!
i think that is the one i have got
the oth th 6 is a servant, last part of the word is the same as a high scholl pep ****y
how do you know the theme for the day for the icons
Sorry Bex - you need the other th 6. It resembles Michael Jackson's 'Th****er' album but change the vowel.
babbler has the themes posted on her profile -- i have it bookmared for reference. :)
thanks got it that time!!! i used to do my dancing to that!!!
babbler posts the theme on her profile sandyloo
here is the link to her profile, for anyone who wants to bookmark it or to look ahead: http://www.playbabbl e.com/view_profile/6719

ev i tried to look that up but no luck
sandyloo take out the space
not that it would do me any good i cant figure out how to get an icon anyway
Flip to the player ranking page, Babbler is 929 under Cream of the Crop.
sandy, I just right click and save an image I want to use, then in your profile, click edit under your icon picture and browse through your computer to get the image you saved.
i have 20 words now!!!
WTG Bex, one more and you are half way there!!
Bex - I've got 31.....can you believe it?
*sandy sheds tears of frustration as she is completely (well almost) computor illiterate*
just got that one im half way!!!!! :):)
Could anyone help with my last th4 word? I have the 3 that are built from the same first 4 letters...
ok I really need help with the "na" please...

Happy Monday everyone! :)

Hurshy, I just love that ad!! Just looking at that guy cracks me up!! "I'll have the roast duck with the mango salsa..."

ok anyhelp with the da's i have the 4/9?
bex, there are two 4/9s
later lola :D ...I'm off to eat too... :D
Bye caitlyn, lola and sherb :)
ok i have one but dont no which one i have!!! i have the one that means dark and wet
well bex, with that point value, there are only so many things it can be, right? but it's not a word you're likely to have heard of.
in fact, other than through word games, there are 20 words today i don't know :)
hurshy where do u live I was thinking you could come tutor my son in math
i live in western CT
OH darn
warai, shorty, you have to admit the odds were not good that we would live within, say, half an hour of each other
how old is he? what math is he in?
how strange to sit down and complete the puzzle in one sitting. i feel oddly deprived of my usual all day (coming back to it every few hours) effort. fun to finish, but disappointing too.......
LOL 13yrs
bex - another clue to help with your da 4/9 is one of the letters you will use is used to make words plural
oh well Im off to take a nap ^ ^
i've been waiting for a smaller puzzle but now it's here i don't want it! oh well, hopefully a biggy tomorrow!
hi guys!
i got the da thanks but im still on 30 words!!! i need the ka's kh's and ha's
hi
For two of the kh, think of Jemima Goldsmith's former husband, the Pakistani cricketer. It's his surname, then plural.
Still, you get a Yay for finishing nbjasmine ! Bye shorty and hi 72TO!
man, you ask for a LITTLE hot pepper on your wrap, and the next thing you know, your mouth is on FIRE!!! *yowza!*
hi bugzy, congrats jasmin
gee, such a short grid today -- OK, I'll take it! Made lunch go quickly today!!
any clues for the ha's
ha 4/9 and ha 5/20 - either measure of wool or American man's name then plural.
any clues for the ha 5/18?
bex -- plural of the 4/8 above it.
i dont have that either that was going to be the next one i asked about!!
bex ha+vowel +constanant
bex - ha 4/8 sorta sounds like a "1/2" ha 5 - is the plural
The words sound and look like an equal division of something.
Back after a long break. Love the little ones
Any tips on the ka 5/18?
got it
Hi Alleyn!!

Has anyone a clue for th6/21 please? It's my last word! Thanks.
Hi all, Congrats Deutch and Bex!!! Hey Bex I'm running my first 1/2 marathon Sunday
its like micheal jacksons album but change the vowel!
you will be enth****ed with yourself when you find this word
TH6/21 - means enslaved. Think of Michael Jackson's Th***er' album and change the vowel.
Bex, I liked your clue better Thanks shroeder! 1/2 a marathon is imipressive!
got that one too lol! I love the clues!
I pretty scared.....my run on Saturday didn't go so well. I was hit on the head with an ice bomb that fell from the top of a pine tree.....
We're all out of work crossword compilers.
Haz, I always thought it would be fun to make crosswords. Maybe like a family crossword for reunions... hmmm... shroeder. Watch the bombs. We're rooting for you on Sunday!
sounds like you all are! my neighbour showed me this site tonight and I'm really pleased she did. I used to play boggle alot as a kid and I love word games, just not very good when there are a few left...
Was going the wrong way! Very grateful for clues.
does anyone have any other goodpuzzle sites?
Well welcome bexetal, were glad your here!!!
bexetal - you've done really well. Have you been using the list off Babbler's Anonymous? If so, you'll know what ones you're missing. Let us know if we can help.
Glad to have your join us in our mad babbling addiction, Bexetal!

th/21 - means enslaved. Think of Michael Jackson's Th***er' album and change the vowel
ty schroeder, i got it, i'm done
Congrats dwroehl!!!!
Hi all. Just popped in to see the grid and finished in 15 minutes. Good thing - I have to leave for work really soon. Didn't attempt yesterday's biggie - we were busy all day. Hope everyone's weekends were good.
musicmom - nice to see you. Have a good day.
Thanks Haz. Good to see you too. I went through withdrawl this weekend. I will have more time to play tomorrow.
Schro...you're running a 1/2 marathon this weekend?
Hi Musicmom, hope your busy weekend had at least some fun...
Yes I am RobRob, first of many races hopefully :)
It was fun Shro - thanks. Sarah was in a choir festival all day Saturday, Girl Scouts yesterday afternoon and Greg played on a concert last night with a dessert buffet afterwards. YUMMY!
Wow a 1/2 marathon. COOL!! I don't think I could run around the block unless I was being chased or something.
Schro...do you need an agent? or, a manager??? ...a trainer???????????
Okay. Sorry to babble and run. See you all tomorrow when I have time to hang out. Have a great evening everyone.
I'm heading off as well. ER is coming on. I miss Carter. Handsome, rich and caring. What more could you want?
My goal is to run the Californina International Marathon in Dec. Actually musicmom that is my secret stradegy, I just pretend someone is chasing me....lol Are you looking to apply for the job??
Bye Musicmom and Haz, both of you have a nice evening
Wait...I was applying for the job...but if all you need is someone chasing you, I could do that (on a scooter!)
I'm taking applications Rob, but you can't chase me on a scooter...I don't run that fast :)
Mule are you out there
No scooter!!!??? Hmmmmmmmmm...maybe skates
Knock, knock, anyone home?
hi chic...
I think a lot of people finished the grid earlier (I did)...but I was droppin' back in to see who might be around....
At last! Some people! Hello...
Hi Hazzard...
Hazzard - we haven't met before... I'm EB (or Eastie...or Eastern or Blue...) Just looked at your profile - so you're from Ottawa, eh?
Where'd all the vowels go? lol Tiny little puzzle today. I don't mind - I'm tired beyond belief!
Evening all! Tiny puzzle today, but I'm hoping some chat is still happening...
Hazzard - I think they're hiding for tomorrow's grid...they were up too late watching the Oscars last night!!
Jera!! Hi...haven't seen you in awhile!!! ((HUG))
Hi Eastern - great to meet you. We're practically neighbours, except for a little international border! I checked your profile and we have a fair bit in common, especially Sudoku and Pooh!
lol (really!), Eastern!
Most people only took 45 minutes to solve the grid. I'm a little slow.
Hazzard - I've been to your fair city many times!! I grew up about 1 1/2 hours south (small town in Northern NY called Canton)...Ottawa is a beautiful city!
I have been very busy preparing for the big Girl Scout birthday party this weekend... last weekend was a DC trip (Girl Scouts as well). Spring is a busy time for us!
Jera - sounds like fun.... : ) Hi BrandyJack.....slow & steady wins the race my friend!!
bj - how long is it taking you?
Hi hurshy!!
I think I've got half an hour into it so far.
I love Ottawa. I was born here and, except for a mistaken few years in Toronto, I've always lived here. I live a stone's throw from the river - it'l a little piece of heaven for sure!
hi auntie! and bj, how many words have you got?
Hazzard - I've skated on the Rideau...(altho' thats the canal...not sure about the river)... as a kid we would go up to the museum with the "crooked kitchen"...I haven't been back in awhile....
5 more than I had a minute ago. 33 down now. KH's turned out to be too easy.
well then you are on track for 45 minutes, i think, so there you go.
Eastern - My grandparents lived across the street from the canal when I was a kid - but there was no skating then. You've been to the Science & Tech Museum; we've got a new museum - Civilization - that's in the most amazing building. Worth a trip to see it...
drat, just monkeyed the 5 ka's without a single miss (and without recognizing a single word). I've definitely been playing this game too long.....
Hazzard - sounds interesting...depending upon my vacation time, when I'm back visiting w/ the folks, maybe we'll take a trip up there!!
BJ - that's only 4 more to go then???
sounds like a good thing to me, bj
yes, two an's, last da and the last th.
all easy for a vet like yourself, bj
Eastern - maybe we should hold one of the proposed Babble conventions here in Ottawa. Really make the trip worthwhile!!
Hazzard - it would have to be a time when I'm up visiting the folks...otherwise it's over 5 hours (I think) from Roch. to Ottawa...
Those K's were completely insane...
And the d's not much better. done.
I'm thinking about a road trip to Ottawa this summer...
woo hoo BJ!! Jera - I use those words everyday!! 8 D
Jera - definitely worth the trip... they have the changing of the guard...beautiful parliament buildings...the Science Museum is great for kids...
i recognized the first D and the last two K's. The rest are so much blather.
Hi Jera, We should definitely have a Babblers' convention! BrandyJack - I'm from Ottawa, so we really are neighbours! (btw, ty ty ty for the second letter lists!!!)
Good Grief I'm finished! Monkey-typed the last three and got them without even noticing!
Jera - that would be quite a trek for you...aren't you in VA???
Woo Hoo Hazzard!!
Yep. Ottawa's only about 2.5 hrs away for me. Been there a lot. Just wish the town didn't shut down at 5 pm Friday night. Like to get to the musuems but they aren't open on the weekends.
I just looked at all the words. I recognize 21, might recognize another 1, and there are 20 that I have absolutely no idea what they mean.
Brandy - what weekends were you there? As far as I know they're open weekends - otherwise working stiffs would never be able to see the exhibits? I've been to the National Gallery many times on Sundays.
but BJ - isn't is scary when you recognize them from playing so much???
brandyjack I want to thank you for your faithfulness in posting the list every single day if it wasn't for you I'd be lost and probably would not play Thank You
hi shorty!
Sorry, I had to go handle a potty emergency. Yes, it's about 9 hours for me, I think... looked it up on mapquest. But I just want to be able to say I've left my home country. I'm sooooo boring!
In the last 10 years I've probably spent a total or 150 days in Ottawa. Can't be more specific than that. Places I'm thinking of are the AGO and Civilization.
hello!
Bite you tongue, Jera - No Babbler is boring!!!
I think it's talking to all these people from other countries, especially when they have travelled. Like Lola & Lemoned who are living in a totally different country from where they were born. I've never left the mid-atlantic states other than flying out to Oklahoma to see my sister graduate college... & that was nearly 30 years ago!
ahhh....gotta run... it's been lovely chatting.... talk to you soon!! HUGS!!
I just wanted to tell you that BJ. I finished ealier and just popped in to see whats going on now I have to go pick up my son from LaCrosse practice so I'll be back
It's a little under 600 miles/10 hours. We do that 2 or 3 times a year visiting grandparents, so not such a big deal. Any advice?
Well, got to go now - I'm being bugged to order pizza for dinner. Great chatting with those of you I haven't met before! Happy Babbling, everyone!
Yay, lacrosse! My son will be doing that next year!
Bye, Hazz!
evening all small little puzzle today
hello all - looks a short one today - how many words pl?
only 42 lovely little words, brian still sore from yesterdays
thanks sheryl, only 30 to go - didn't get round to yesterdays...

Hi GreyWolf and Yvo :)
Hey, faerie :) Congrats, lbetter!
So how about this gr 4/7? I thought it was pretty much a pain in the butt. But I finished earlier.
hi there and thank you
and done -- about 12 mins between this am & now :)
Yvo-quite welcome...
Wolulfie *%*%*%*%*%*boom*%*%*%*%*%* CO NGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
Yw - Yvo faerie -- I like little ones like this every now and then -- I use them to test how much my vocabulary has changed since I started playing in October :)
Oh mercy I'm starting to spell like Smaller.....This is not a good thing..lol
this is hard today for me ,took grandaughter to movie lots of screaming kids nerves are rattled tonite
Yvo -- then a teeny tiny is just what you need-- have a (*Hug*) as well :)
No kidding-I also starting playing in October...got hooked right away. The small ones sometimes are worse than the 300 word ones...But I finished in about an hour between phone calls.
I would have finished this am - but I promised Kirsten I would go to bed right after the flip
Yvo-sorry to hear that I too will give up a hug (((((((((((X))))))))))))
im so hooked on this ,dont get anything done
Yvo-lol, sometimes that's alright. Time for you is very important..
i need all the hugs i can get thankyou both
I spend entirely too much time playing this game at times--- I have only missed about 5 boards since starting and those have all been in the past month due to the changes in family and job :D
Woulfie-How is Kristen? Wife or Daughter?
Kirsten (wife to be) is doing MUCH better now that they have given her different blodd pressure meds -- she has energy and can think coherently for the first time in months
I've miss several due to travel. No computers on vacation. I go to Kentucky every couple of months to see my family so there are some long weekends without Babble. Then I go nuts when I get home. The first thing I do before unpacking. LOL
keeps my mind going started late and its a hard one ,usually in bed by 8 as i go swimming at 5:30 in the morning
Kristianna is my daughter - 2 1/2 - and she is loving being a big sister :D Sebastian is sleeping on my shoulder -- his favorite sleeping spot -- and happily over his illness
Woulf-seems like I do remember you saying she had been having problems but not for sure. I really just started chatting about 2mos. ago. I started out shy and didn't want to talk to anyone because I was afraid I would sound stupid but finally figured out that everone is the same...So whats up with Kristen?
when im on a trip i have withdrawal symptons its bad and ill always look for a computer at the hotel can you tell ive got it bad
Yvo -- we are here to help Keeping the mind sharp is hard when one is exhausted -- believe me, I understand ;)
yes Yvo-very good exercise for the little muscle in our head....lol
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh sounds like you have a lovely little family Woulfie...congratulations...
She is diabetic and has other medical concerns which result in elevated blood pressure -- the only BP med which is not dangerous during pregnancy is Aldomet (?) which has lethargy as one of its primary side effects
wish my husband would think so he asks me evry day how many did you get
hope all is turning out better for you and the famely.
Thanks, faerie -- btw -- I checked out your picture --- I liked it a lot -- is the artist a friend of yours?
Woulfie-got it..My ex had terrible BP problems and had an awful time finding the right meds that he needed to be on but he is doing great now. We are still very good friends. No children (either of us) but we do have shared custody of a dog (shih-tzu) Max. LOL
Yvo -- we are doing great at this juncture, if a bit tight on cash --- but with luck, I will be taken on permanently at the new job I started and thus the financial burden will improve :)
She she is a very close friend and I am just blown away by her work. Actually "Faerie Kae" the faerie of Humility does sort of look like me. But the verse that goes with her was directed tooooo meeeee. She hit me hard....
so Yvo -- how many do you have and which ones do you need/want help with?
ill say an extra prayer for you all ,as long as you be well thats what is importent
Yvo - ohhhhhhhhhhhhh your so sweet ;
Yvo are you finished?
i got a whole 28 words wich is pretty darn good for me ,and i thank you ever so much for the offer ,ill take a raincheck for tomorow,as its almost bedtime and i wont finnish anyway , iam slow
Thanks, Yvo -- I agree completely :)
Yvo-well I'll have to say you've done a very good job considering the movies and all.
Looks like there is no one needing any help so I'm going to take my dog for a walk. He loves night time walks.
Hallo?
MammaBear ((((((((((((((XXX))))))))))
so ill say good nite woulfie and faerie see you tomorow god willing,im tired .
Yvo -- 2/3 done is great!! Being satisfied with what you have is the key to happiness which this game reinforces on a daily basis :)
Hi, bye Yvo!!!! (((((((((((((((fairie kae))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Good Night Yvo I'm also out of here. Max has the leash in his mouth right now...Bye
Have fun with Max, fairiekae!! Hi GW!!!
G'nite Yvo -- (((***Hug***))) -- wilth luck, I will be here as well tomorrow
Momma wish I could stay but my dog is calling me. LOL
hello Mamabear sorry to leave ,but need to get up early have a good nite too
((((****Mamabear****)))) -- so have you finished this monster (LOL) of a board yet?
That's ok ladies........ there's more to this world than Babble!!!!! Have a good nite, both of you!!! Glad I got here in time to say hi!
Goodnight Woulfie ((((((((((((((((X)))) )))))))))))
G'nite faeriekae -- it was great talking to you ((**Hug**))
Yes I finished it...... yuck
how long did it take you? you can edit out the interruptions of mundane life :)
I honestly don't know.. maybe 45 min to an hour I'd say
Are you done with the gr 4/6, GW?
It took me about 12 -15 mins but only cos there were only a few wierdos in this one -- needed the list for the last 10
oops, make that gr 4/7
I will call you Speedy Gonzales from now on!
I only do the teeny one that fast -- the side effect of playing nearly everyday for the past 5 months :D
Very quiet tonite, huh? I guess I should change my icon..... but I love the pic.... I took it 2 years ago about this time of year.
where?
Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Actually, now that Ithink about it, it was more like 3 or 4 years ago. Time flies.
The theme the other day was "favorite desserts" and I am not one for alot of sweets, but take me for a walk on the beach after dinner and I'm in heaven!
I am beginning to wonder if I am ever going to travel again -- I didn't have the money to go on my own before I met Kirsten -- where will I find the money to go with 2 kids?
I understand, GW. I hadn't ben anywhere for many years. When I went to Maine, it was by myself. Since that spring, I have gone to Florida with my youngest daughter on her spring break - which she is on this week, but we could not go anywhere this year :(
I gotta go -- need to help Kristianna prepare for bed and change Seb's diaper -- I may check in later, but maybe not (*Hug*) PS -- sorry to leave on a down note :)
Good evening all. What an eensy grid today. I finished earlier but thought I would pop in for a short chat before Greg gets home.
GW - It really does get easier and becomes more possible. We'll be married 15 years in Aug. and our oldest is 11. We are taking our first vacation ever in May.
good nite, GW ((((((((((((((((GW)))))))))))) ))))))))) hi musicmom!!!! Kinda quiet in here tonite....
Good night GW.
Where are you going in May, MM?
hi Mama -- I imagine so. I can't believe how few words there were. Kind of glad because I didn't have a lot of time today.
Really a contrast to yesterday's monster!!!
We are going to an undisclosed location. My mom might be babbling and I can't say. I don't know if she has started playing or not.
OK.... well wherever it is, I wish you well, a safe trip and wonderful weather!!!!!!
Yep I didn't even attempt yesterday. Had Girl Scouts in the afternoon and Greg had a concert last night.
what kind of concert?
He played on the Evening of Elegance. It was a semi-formal affair - a fundraiser for the Hillel foundation here on campus. He plays classical saxophone. THere was a dessert/appetizer buffet afterwards. I got a new dress and shoes:-))
He plays classical sax???????? I'm drooling.
Thanks for the good wishes on the trip. Once I find out for sure that she isn't babbling - I'll tell. We've kept it a secret since October.
Yes he has a Master's degree in Performance. He is very good
That's ok, MM ... don't take the chance. I wouldn't want to be the reason for a surprise being spoiled.... what name does she play under?
Last night was so funny. He played a French Etude while a dancer did some very beautiful ballet. Then the switched and she honked on the sax while he "danced". Then the switched back and finished in a very serious manner.
I don't know. To my knowledge she has never joined in the chat. I'll send her an email and find out if she ever signed up. She couldn't figure it out the first time. Thought you had to click on the letters instead of typing. My sister and brother in law both work on the grid but don't chat.
That sounds like it was very entertaining!!!!! It's wonderful to find a life partner that shares your interests, I'm sure....
Yep we were a blind date. A guy from the sax quartet he played in in undergrad was dating my trumpet player roommate. They set us up. It's been mostly beautiful music ever since then.<G>
That is wonderful, MM!!!!! Well, I must be going.... need to take a shower and get to bed before my pain med stops working. Didn't go to work today...... hopefully will tomorrow... I really HAVE to go tomorrow.
Have a great night. Think I will go quilt for a while.
Have a good nite's rest and happy quilting!!!!! ((((((musicmom) )))))))))) Ciao!
missing th6/21 and kh5/22 any hints?????? thanks
babs-you can be in th____ to someone, which i think means to be their slave. You can also be enth____ed.
got it thanks
kh5/22: a coarse homespun cotton cloth made in India
do you know what the theme is for tomorrow?
Eva, it's singers you are embarassed to admit you like (hence me already switching to Jesse McCartney) !!! :) Evening all!
Eva= According to the list in Bab Anon it is Singers You Are Embarrassed to Admit You Like.
Hi Jen. I switched already to Air Supply. I totally missed caveman day. Went from Dessert to the band.
how about nancy sinatra......hi ya'll
Hi ya Ren. Kind of a quiet night. I was going to quilt when Mamabear left but I'm just not motivated to pick it up tonight.
BTW I like Nancy Sinatra.
I have been skipping a lot of the icon days mostly because I am lazy! But I checked in tonight to actually prep for tomorrow's icon! LOL Wouldn't ya know it, the most embarassing thing I can come up with! I'm going on 34 and I adore Jesse!!!
hey mm - and i like air supply - this is fun!!!
What kind of quilt are you working on? I just finished up one baby quilt (for my Goddaughter) and have another to start on for my other best friend.
I struggled with this one Jen. I don't embarrass easily. I toyed with Olivia Newton John or the Andrew Sisters. My husband just thinks it's horrible that I like Air Supply though so that's what I went with.
This one is a sampler of 30 12" blocks. They were pieced by a group of friends I have on the internet and come from the US Canada and Australia. I put the top together in 1997 but am just now getting around to hand quilting it. I really need to be working on it because soon it will be too warm to quilt. What did you do?
ONJ is not embarassing for me. I opening adore her! As a matter of fact I got to see her in concert for my 31st birthday in concert with the Omaha Symphony... fantastic!
Wow cool! How about Sheena Easton. She was at the Lancaster Music Festival last year but I was there on the night that Arturo Sandoval played so I didn't get to see her.
hahahaha - i guess i really admire anyone who has the chutzpa to sing or perform in front of a group of people.so i'm not really embarassed saying i like someone. i'm not fond of new pop country....
Just an alternating 9 square (= to 6") with a solid 6" square... I vary between that one and a solid 6" bordered with 2" rectangles. Yours sounds a lot harder than mine!!!
yay, i'm done, only took me about 50 mintes :P
evenin all!
Way to Go Wat.
hi evandine!!
Oooh Oooh!!!!! I know Arturo Sandoval!!!! My Dad is a big time trumpet player and they played together at a festival in CA a long time ago! :)
way to go wat!!!
wow jen -- no more seminoles?!
that's kool jen!!!
Jen - simple is best. One of my favorite quilts that I have done is just 6" squares of fabric (scrappy) sewn together. I did an asterisk in each one with quilting. Simple, quick, very warm and comfy! My block on this sampler is a 9 patch. Some of the blocks are elaborate and some are simple.
I know evan... can you believe it! I had to show my affection for Jesse McCartney! (even tho my Noles are finally making it to the ACC basketball regionals for the 1st time in 10 years)
YOu mean you KNOW =know him? That is wayyyyy tooooo cool! I LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get the point?hehehheeee. That was the BEST concert I had been to in a long time.
Hi Evan. Sorry got excited about talking music and quilting - not trying to be rude.
Go Seminoles --- unless they end up playing the OU Bobcats in the dance.
heh, no worries MM
Awesome lips (although I still think my Daddy is the gretest player in the world :) LOL) but a cocky SOB... was there with his "guard" (i.e. the person who kept him from defecting... this was a long time ago... but he did the "wink wink nudge nudge" and we all knew she was his mistress.
Hey Jen - would I know of your dad?
having some of the leftover ground turkey stroganoff i made last night.... quite tasty! im proud of myself!!
I met Gali Sanchez (conga player for Santana many years ago) at a Jazz fest here. He was neat because he wasn't cocky at all - even though he has every right to be.
Hmmmmm evan that sounds YUMMY. I made beef stroganoff yesterday - isn't that weird?
coinky-dental! i dont eat much red meat, an the BF doesnt eat any, so we eat lotsa turkey... he usually wants me to make turley-loaf, but i refused to make it this time cause im getting sick of it! found this recipe, and its quite tasty!
Sounds tasty evan... I made tofu tonight... woo hoo. Dunno MM, he mostly does Classical/Baroque, although he does tour a lot. Goff.... tpt. professor at FSU.
Doesn't ring a bell with me but I will ask Greg if he knows of him. Greg is a classical sax player. He occasionally ventures into Jazz but usually it is classical. I love baroque trumpet.
We like turkey a lot. We also eat lots of chicken.
Mmmm, can't stand Baroque trumpet... I say God invented valves for a reason!!! LOL! But maybe that's because I grew up listening to him practice the long tones. :)
same here...occasionally pork, but its gotta be really lean
Hheheheee. That could be Jen. It is an acquired taste. Listening to anyone practice anything can ruin it.
May I ask who Greg is? (if I am not being impertinent)...
OOPs sorry - he's my husband.
He just played on a concert last night with OhioBrass ( don't know if they have made it to Florida yet) and Richard Syracuse (classical piano).
Oh! Is he also a music teacher? (I come from a family of them... my Mom teaches elementary/middle school general music and band)... no I don't play anything now.
i always wished for musical talent, but alas, it skipped me...
Actually he is the associate librarian at the Ohio University Music/Dance Library. We both have degrees in Music Ed. I did seven years of Pre-K - 8 general music in public school. I'm now a licensed Kindermusik teacher. Greg has a Master's in sax performance. Our daughter, Sarah (11) plays flute
evan... it skipped me too, although I did play at various times violin, piano, flute and sing soprano. MM, if you name the trumpet players in Ohio Brass, I probably know them... names escaping me at the mo...
i played the recorder in elementary school...hehe... i took piano lessons for a few years when i was little...i rented a flute for a month in 6th grade, but never took a lesson... then i took a year or two of guitar lessons when i was in middle school or early HS... never quite wanted to do anything that didnt come naturally...practice? what??
Just went to the OU websbite for brass... the profs don't ring a bell, but the visiting artists do... Tony Plog and Al Vezzutti had dinner at my house eons ago and I think Jeff Tyzik did too.
I also teach piano and voice ( I was a double major). Ohio Brass Trumpet players - John Schlabach and Dave Turrill
Well, Greg just called and isn't going to be home for a while. He played on a girl's graduate recital tonight and there was a reception. I think I'll be done here, make a snack and start Hot Six (finally got it from the library).
DUUUUUUDE!!!! I just realized where you are!!!!!! Bob Glidden is there!!! He was the Music dean at FSU for years!!! Great guy! Renee (his wife) is very cool.
He was here ----- In fact the Music Building is now Robert Glidden Hall. He retired last year but still works as a liason for the U.
I only met him a couple of times. Never met Renee but saw her at several functions.
The undergrads call the music building Bobby G's Crib.
I had forgotten he was at FSU before he came here. It was all the buzz (among Fine Arts faculty/staff) when OU hired him because he was coming from an Arts background.
It is soooo neat actually talking to someone who knows people in the classical musical world! (I actually thought I was a freak for my age, knowing as much about classical music as I do Hilary Duff and Avril Lavigne) That's hilarious! I will have to tell my Dad about that next time I talk to him
He was in the runnig for the pres of FSU when the old one retired (and he was the interim Pres... spoke at my graduation) but he got shafted for Sandy D'Alemberte, a former Federal Court Justice/FSU Law School grad (who turned out to be a great Pres, tho)
No doubt. It isn't often I find someone I can talk with either. It is easier because I still live in a college town. The woman who owns the Kindermusik studio I work for is the wife of the theory prof at OU. He was Greg's sax prof many years ago. So we still have contact with this world.
Politics always plays in with those types of positions. The guy who replaced him is the first African-American President of OU (about time I think) but also an OU grad. Probably had an unfair advantage over other candidates for those two factors. He is a very good pres though.
<making popcorn brb>
That's why my dad has turned down dean-ships... he agreed to be coordinator for the wind and percussion faculty but he still hates all the *rap he has to do with that position nonetheless. Rather play the trumpet than play politics.
I don't blame him.
Sorry... I'm back sort of. Is it so wrong that I am craving mozarella sticks this late after only having tofu and a cucumber salad for dinner? ;)
No way sounds perfectly reasonable. I had red beans/rice/ and chicken tonight --- but early. I'm eating popcorn now. Wish Greg would bring some brownies from the reception<G>
Brownies sound heavenly! Even though I'm not a sweet eater. Are we the only 2 on here? :)
No...I just arrived. Mmm...brownies! :)
I think so. Maybe we bored everyone to death with music talk?
it might be that they are overcome with the vastness of this grid.
This was a strange one tonight but I just finished-yipee!
Hello Kristen - nice to see you. Congrats on the finish.
no brownies yet - just wishes. I do have popcorn. Want some?
Woo hoo kristinc! Weird one today wasn't it!!! Gosh, what could be boring about classical music? ;)
Popcorn will do for the moment...but I might have to go searching for brownies to share! Not bored w/ music talk...trying to grab those last elusive few! :)
I don't know --- I thought about having my middle school students write an essay about it once though ("The Things that Are Boring About Classical Music)
My favorite lesson plan though was to play common classical themes ---especially ones they knew from cartoons and then tell them it was classical music. The looks on their faces was always priceless.
LOL MM!
it was pretty funny. "We don't like classical music" would always be the trigger for that lesson plan.
Bugs Bunny is always priceless for that. The Wagnerian themes throughout!
EXACTLY! Also the Rossini themes, and Beethoven/Mozart themes. I would make the kids listen to the entire movement once they rocognized the theme and then give them a little history.
Well, Greg is home and we haven't seen each other all day so I'm going to head out. See you all tomorrow. Jen - nice talking to you.
Goodnight MM!
G'night MM! I think I will head out as well... eat my cheesy-fried goodness that are mozarella sticks whilst watching MASH reruns!
If I'm not too late, goodnight Jen!
Hm. Can I do 42 words in half an hour? what do you all think?
Jen--I was friends with Al Vizzutti in high school, and was his piano accompanist for many years. That fact still gets me a little respect every now and then!
still there harpy?
my soon to be sister-in-law got me hooked to this game, but this is my first night actually signed up, anything I should know?
Hi NatLT -- the key thing to know is that we are all about the fun :) The game board changes at midnight CST -- if you look at the Friends of Babble box to the right you will see the last link is Babblers Anonymous -- that is the message board associated with the game Click that, then the General topic, and you will see a topic for the Daily Stats -- there you will find a breakdown of the words in todays puzzle by 1st 2 letters length and point score e.g. gr4/7 -- starts with GR, is four letters long, and has a point value of 7
Hope you are still here, due to the small size of the board, it is fairly quiet today :)
harp -- if you are here -- of course you can -- you are a veteran and most of the words are not obscure -- heck you could prob do it in 20 even with your dial up connection :)
I think I am the only one still on here, it has been quiet
NatLT also see the Babble Rules on top line
Nat -- Welcome -- I am only here because I am waiting for my newborn son to wake up so I can feed him, so you are in luck :) If you haven't read the Babble Rules yet, take the time to do so -- they are fairly clear
awww, congrats on that one
Another good resource newly added to the arsenal is also on Babblers Anonymous -- General Topic -- to subtopic: Announcing a new BAbble resource
Thanks Nat
Hi woulf! Thought you were gone! And I knew you were alive! :D
He is awake now -- gotta feed and then I get to sleep! I will be able to talk while feeding just slower -- besides everyone suddenly appears after the flip so you should be in good company in just a couple ;D
Hi mom -- I know that was more for Liz than you
BF had to drive my truck to work the past week cause his is sick. So he went out today and bought his own!
AHAH! Welcome to the nut house NatLT
