hello little leslie!!!!!
Glad you still got a few more in under the wire GW
Hi Nat!! found the site, i see
yes I did, I suck though
everyone, Nat is my future sister-in-law. be nice to her!
Welcome Nat! Glad you have you here!
What does it mean when you make the flip?
hello everyone, a new puzzle already?
I informed them of such the other night, and everyone has been super nice
nothing, krad
LA -- we met the other night :) Nat -- don't put yourself down that way -- the true measure of success is the amount of joy/fun you derive from the game!
w's are easy :)
Woo hoo, I stayed awake for the flip, etc! I'm too excited! Even changed my icon for hte greatest inventions! it's the "dial-a-down" for the football game! :)
oh, i forgot, let me change my icon
I guess it means change of games?
yes krad, but you don't get any prize for being here for it or anything :)
leslie what is your invention?
Yay -- time to feed Seb -- I get to go to bed soon!! ;D
the printing press, of course
My invention is the nap! LOL
ca7 x 2 (where's debs?)
Kraj, we're just easily excited and entertained...no surprise if you hand out here for any period of time! (And I mean this in a good way friends!)
ooh, hurshy, I guess this means we are both gonna be hurting tomorrow morning! Could it be my antibiotic that is making keeping me awake?
of course, the pic is just small I couldn't tell
I have been playing for 6 months, I know you don't get a prize for it, just wondered what it meant. :)
Okay, I didn't even start tonight but will be back tomorrow. Too sleepy and a big day ahead. TTFN. Thanks for all the help!
i know, scrunched down printing presses kind of look like electric chairs.
Hi Everyone :)
jen - it's spring break, so i can sleep in
A nice sized grid tonight!
Not paying attention -! Good night to those leaving and hello to those arriving.
Ahhhhh, spring break! Has a lovely ring to it! I am about to fade... and FAST! Gotta leave here about 2 to meet hubby for the weekend (yea yea, not supposed to say he;s been away for 7 weeks, but I am too pumped)
Have a great reunion with him, Jen!!
:) jen
thanks woulfie! Could be interesting since we have one hotel room and a 4 1/2 year old sharing it. :)
It'll work out for the best, Jen ;D I have faith :)
yes... interesting. good word choice, jen.
I have faith and BCPs! LOL We have one wonderful child and that's enough! :)
ROFL
faith and birth control pills... that would be a good band name
I'm back and in the hunt :-)
hey chic!
Woot! And the Ws down! And with that I will head to bed since little man will wake up early being so excited to see Daddy tomorrow evening. Any W clues needed?
16 grey boxes, how very lovely
hey nat are you still here?
ah'ight... see y'all in a more decent hour!!! :)
yeah, what's up?
so i have a question for all the parents out there -- Seb has a tendency to throw himself about while in my arms unlike his sister who would calmly sit there when she was the same age -- is this just variance in babies or is it related to the gender as well?
i think that whenever the boys start in on world of warcraft talk, we should just start a babble conversation.
i'm not a parent but my neighbors have 2 boys and the second is much calmer than the first, so i think it's prob just personality
i just thought of that. i feel brilliant.
oh I really like that idea, maybe it will break them of it, probably not, but it would be fun for us anyway
'nite, jen!
anybody have any brilliant suggestions for the lower g, i have the ones to do with social flitting and a gh4, can't for the life of me figure the other 2
Jen, how many W's are there? --paki--
woulfie, I would say a variance in child... my son never tried to throw himself out of my arms but I have taken care of children who do/don't ( no gender spec)
10 w's
Just different strokes woulf. You were a calm baby too. But verrry curious. You stopped taking naps when you were about 2 because you had to see everything going on around you. Just be sure he doesn't skip out of your arms!
invention day! I'm taking a break from my menopausal rearranging of furniture, to babble before bed (bbb).
hurshy do you have a ga 4 meaning a lot?
Thats what I thought, it's just disconcerting when he is lying there calmly and then flings himself about w/o warning -- he has almost made it to the floor a couple of times -- thank goodness for good reflexes :)
i found 9 w's & am stuck. same for all the rest. i need a break to clear my mind.
leslie, if you're thinking of an sc5, then yes...
Naps? Did I see naps? I do not know of these things as my son stopped taking them about 22 months!! LOL
ca 7/40
yeah, it rhymes with the sc
Hey all... insomnia Babbler checking in...
{{{Jera}}} whazzzzzzuuuup!
Kristianna gave up her naps around 18 months -- so she must have her dad's genes relating to sleep
Oh my... two of my favorite Babblers!
(*Jera*)
Ooooh OOOOh I hope I one of them!!!! :)
um, don't you mean *all* of your favorite babblers?
jera - now you've got us all wondering
Oops, of course... but two I haven't been getting to see very much lately!
hurshy - there is a ga5 that means footstool.
ca 7/40 - Carries the golf clubs for golfers
Weeeeeell... Jen's the only one I know for sure is real... so she has a special place in my heart All you other people might just be figments of my imagination!
tyvm dianne, another grey box!
hurshy - I'm still missing one :(
Awwwwwww, thanks Jera!!!! big hugs goin out to ya!! Soooo, why are you up? I'll tell ya why I'm up if you do!
Sorry, Jera -- I am already a figment of my own imagination so I have to be real to you as well ;)
from that g? is it the gh4?
i'm just missing two from the top g now
Insomnia... too much to do so I can't turn off my mind to sleep... keep making lists in my head. So now I'll be exhausted for my road trip to Martinsburg...
GW, I wish I could be like your icon!
hurshy from the bottom g - i ave ga6, ga5, ga4 & gh4 in that order.
So do I Jera!
you forgot to pluralize your footstool
Mine is a new antibiotic... but I feel myself about to crash! Hope you have sweet dreams soon... I know the feeling! That's why I take trazodone!
GW- As a mother of four, girl energy is so much calmer then boy energy when they are young
Jen will you be in town the 25th?
you parents should back me up "owie" is totally a word
hurshy - pass the fish. Thanks.
I was just about to post that very complaint, hurshy! Or the alternate spelling, owee...
kimber -- that's for that insight... though I know that part of his prob is that he likes to hide burps from me -- I could do the anvil dhorus on his back and he will still fall asleep rather than burp!
ro 7/48 - loud and rough disorderly people
My grandkids all had owies! --- and what about haddie, as in that famous Scottish dish?
Yup, we'll be here little one has his "kindergarten interview" the day before on Friday...
Hursh -- I think it is supposed to be spelled with 2 e's :D
oh the agony, i need just one more S!
where are you missing from, hursh?
Have ro 7 and two ca 7's -- anyone found any others?
Cool... you should come down & do the kite festival with us! We are deciding whether to go into DC or just do the one at Gunston Hall... it's also start of cherry blossom, so I'm leaning towards GH... closer, too
the one in the top row
Anybody who was a kid in the sixties knows that gada is a word. "inna gada da vida, honey...."
nope cnan, that's all the long 'uns i have
I have a ca7/48 and ca 7/44
7/48, really?
Cool! Maybe we could all meet up in DC for kites and cherries? I bet I could get hubby up that weekend!!!
Oh you are a brave woman! I will gird my loins, then... my handicapped tags may come in handy...
yep -- build off ca6 -- a 16th century visorless helmet
I have a ca 7/32
and if they do we will call on you! LOL
wow, lot of ca7's. clue for the 32?
gw, another builds off that too
Or if we wanted to really get crazy, I could use my wheelchair & we could take Metro...
little spanish houses
i'm still missing an awful lot of c's
of course, chic - ended at the wrong a - so didn't see the pl - ok i have all the 7's
but no 8's sadly
Wow -- the 8's are both independant of the 7's -- and no where to be seen :D
how about a clue, GW for the ca 7/48?
maybe the grid thinks there is a t that we can make superlatives out of?
Hmmm, crazy and DC to me means 4th of July in '96 brfore they stopped allowing alcohol on the Mall!!! But, hell, whatever works! ;)
I did the 4th in DC the summer of '83... that was crazy enough...
ca6/30 -- 16th century helmet -- homophone for what you store wine in -- then past tense it for the 48, plural for the 44
let's compare O's og 4 6 og 5 14 or 6 24 ow 4 8
whoops, my fingers aren't hitting the numbers well!!! I meant July of 96
pondering if there might be an 8 starting with dis-
more than me, hurshy
oc 4/5, hurshy
ty, la
and I must to bed -- Seb is fed, changed, and in a new clean outfit (man, do I hate diaper soak through!) -- best to sleep while the newborn is out! See you later! (*Hugs for all*)
Good night, GW
{{sweet dreams woulfie}}
'nite GW!
an s, an s, my kingdom for an s
Sweet dreams, Woulfie!
I have an or 5/16, Hurshy
76 words, that's more than half for me. Time to rest. Have a good one and see ya tomorrow!
yay, thanks cnan, another grey box!
16 words left to find...
I think my brain shut down, night all!! Night lil leslie
I have 25 to go -- haven't found one for quite a while, though
Goodnight, Nat
good night nat!
more comparing is in order i think - A's?
ca8/55, se8/50 thats the 8,s
i have: ac 4 5 ac 4 6 ac 5 14 ad 5 16 ad 4 6 as 4 5 as 5 12
RO7 - a wild one?
How many oc's are there?
wooo oggy!
go oggy!!! hmm, how about clues?
just one oc
only one OC!
I need one more T to finish my bottom row... what am I missing? ta 4 5 ta 5 12 ta 4 5 ta 4 5 ta 4 4
ta 4/6
ooh, i have another 4/5 after the 5... you have a4/6!
tyvm... & a common word at that!
jen - are you talking about t's or a's?
sorry.. a ta4
as 6/21
won't anyone else post their a list?
*sighs* We have descended into the gutter yet again...
plural fish!
ca8 golfers have them, and se8 what you plant plus what you pack for hols. sorry not that good at giving clues
we have?
I only have 7 a's, but will post if that will help..?
jera - it will if any of them differ from my list at 1:08
(I was referring to hurshey's t & a post... maybe it's just my mind that's in the gutter)
oggy - we've got ca7's that golfers have - there's an 8? is it related??
hurshey... I think I got them from you, so probably not...
jera - lol, didn't think of that when i posted at all!!!
I have an as6 which is plural of my as5... I don't have that as4...
aha, got it!
12 to go!
Okay, mind is finally fried and looking at my grid not going in alpha order is frying it further! LOL See y'all later! :)
i think i'll go as well. these 32 will have to wait till morning. g'night all.
oh no, don't abandon me, i have 9 left - then i can post a list for you all!
I got the 4! My computer hubby would be disappointed... that I didn't see it earlier, I mean
Bye Jen, I'll call you about kite stuff, okay?
Groovy groove Jera!! :) (and E already has a kite from his great grandpa!!
there is no a8 only 28 ca8 and se8
Oooh, just found the ca7...
has anyone determined if the ca 8 has to do with golfing? -- I found 2 7's and can't think what the 8 might be!
Weeell, what we are thinking of doing is the 18th you can go to the Smithsonian & make a kite... then fly it in a contest the next weekend... might be a bit older than your littlie...
cnan, it doesn't really, but if you take the pl 7 and drop the e, you get a 6, which then pl for the 8
hurshy. sorry yes just add s
I think GW commented that the 8's had nothing to do with the 7's... I could be wrong, though...
anyone have my missing D? da 4 6 da 5 14 da 4 6 da 5 14 da 4 6 da 4 7 da 4 5 da 4 5 de 4 5 de 5 14 de 6 24 de 4 9 di 4 6 di 5 14 di 4 6 di 4 5
di 6/21 - last one
Have the same d's you do, Hurshy -- let me know if you find it!
stats are posted
thanks hoot
oh, only 6 left - i've come so far without the list...
hurshy did you get it
2 a's 2 c's 2 g's 2 4's 2 5's 2 6's so evenly distributed!
yw
yes ages ago did i forget to thank you oggy? sorry
see that "aha, got it!" at 1:16 - that was me getting the ca8 :)
TY, hootowl
5 to go!
Hurshy for the ca 8 -- what do you mean by "take the pl 7"?
*is depressed as she still has 45 to go*
spose i'll get the list :(
of your golf 7's, one is pl and one is past tense, right?
yes
lurking still..... still have 70 to go.... can't...seem... to....get....to...sleeeeeeeepp ppppp.... gotta be the antibiotics and the 'roid nasal spray!!!!
Thank you -- got it!
Jen, I thought you left... did you get my post about the two kite weekends?
I still have lots of s's!
I understood your clue, hurshy, tyvm... I'm glad I didn't post about my orginal confusion since there are no P's or L's in the grid today...
yeah, sorta.... would love to make a kite!!! think we are free on 3/18!
Here's the link if you want to read about it... http://www.nasm.si.ed u/events/eventDetail.cfm?event ID=384
I need a clue for di 6/21 please
unbelievable - one of the ones i was missing was the golf one, singular - how dumb am i? but at least the 2 A's and the 2 G's were words i didn't know. i'm done!
This is about the one on the 25th, the actual festival... http://www.kite festival.org/
di 6/21 "pluralize" last di4
di6/21: french cd

Jera... still sounds like fun even if we don't make our own kite!!!!!
jen - your brain is clouded by the medicine. i am going to take mine now. :)
btw my icon is the cotton gin
Okay.... really, for sure, for true, going to bed this time!! Jera, let me know about the kites fest! Would love to go if nothing else! Woo hoo again hurshy! sleep tight (and in my case, sleep fast) everyone!
well, g'night all!
Night you'all - I'm thinking of a vodka & tonic to make myself go to bed too!
Nite, Jen! And all else leaving...
Good night Hurshy -- thought I'd finish, but can't stay awake any longer!
I'm finally worn out with 20 to go... off to catch a few winks before it's time to get up! Nite all... if anyone else is still around!
im done.
well done oggy
SE 8/50 Anyone?
I'm finished so off to snooker now! Has anyone pointed out that MrP's list is 3 words short because it hasn't picked up the words containing "qu"?
se8/50 - you plant these in the ground
I pointed it out on the list... I haven't looked at the grid yet so was hoping someone could tell me what I am missing.... thanks in advance!!
It's the bit inside that grows and the se8/50 just decays
The missing words are a ca6 and two ca7's
thanks spellit! Will get onto it...
They come right at the end of your list MrP
And your list was excellent MrP with the tick boxes!
ty spellit
glad you like it spellit!
ok list has been updated now to include the missing ca's... enjoy!! ;))
just popped in to say thank you MrP....used your list yesterday and it was brilliant.... I keep coming in and out during the day and to have the tick boxes was really helpful...thanks again : )
Morning, just having quick coffee while cake is cooking - should really be doing some housework :)
hi guys!
morning Mrp, morning Atalante & everyone :)
Karys! Thank you!!
Hi Atalante and Trish!!! Glad to see you all!
*( wish I was clever like MrP ! )*...... !!!!
MrP, liking the check-list ... looks like it'll be dead helpful later, when I get out of 'plug in all the words I can think of' mode :)
thats my way of working too Trish
Karys... I am not the clever one! I get all the credit but it is licketysplitAUS who is the clever dick!! HE IS TALENTED! and he doesn't care for the credit... but I think him AMAZING... (he works way too hard too!)
then please pass on all our thanks and good wishes MrP
then you *both* deserve cake and medals and your pics in the Babble Daily News.
awwww one of my fav breeds of dogs is in here today :)
Karys... lol... I ran out of words to plug in, in record time today. Time to break out the list!
Time to make fairy cakes now, back later. Love your list mrp
Thank you J40... glad it is of use!!
mroning all. MrP, are you here?
hi angel!
MrP: I was working on your Babble resource page the other night, and the template I had planned to use is not workable. I am unable to find a template in purple that is acceptable. Do you have another color choice?
oh Angel... you are so talented... you choose!! I would love my kumquat kat to be a colour feature... green and white would be lovely! Thank you!
still going here trish....slower and slower....but got to go know anyway....back later : )
bye Karys :)
good, green and white will be lovely. I have one in mind for you!
Thank you Angelsong!
Angel, did you see the 'additional' information that has been added with the checkboxes?? What do you think!?
I'm going to be working on it this weekend, MrP. By the way, I've added a link for your tick box list to the page online.
I'd love to see tick boxes on BJ's list as well!
thanks. we added the link onto the original page so that people could look and see if they wanted that feature... seems to be going ok!
any clues for the 8's?
compound word... se4 + ca4 meaning a pod for carrying se**
ca8/45 - plural of the mayfly larva
my vote: Include the tick boxes on the alternate list!!!
or if you don't know the intimate habits of the mayfly, add a letter into one of the golfing ca7s!
just popped in to do a few words.... trying out the new bab site with check boxes....GREAT !! Thank you
tks for ca8
MrP, your new tickboxes make your list even more helpful.
Good morning all.
howdy Haz
Hi Haz - how are you?
hi haz!
I'm well. I've gone back through the chat log to get as many clues as possible. Still have a lot of words to go!
well I need 9 more but refuse to finish today because I need the excuse to log on in the morning to see what's happening :)
I confess to going back through the previous day's chat log sometimes just to see if I've missed anything.
how does one find the previous day's chat log, Haz? I'm just curious.
If you click on Yesterday's puzzle at the top of the page, it takes you to the previous day's chat log.
Angel - you can alos click on Archives at the top of the page and pick any previous day.
I didn't know that, Dianne. I should note down days of special interest so that they can be revisited!
I did that today because everyone was talking about something that happen a couple of days ago when it was my night time. I scrolled through the whol logs but din't seem to find anything much so I guess I had the worg day.
I've got to learn how to type if I'm going to post :)
thanks, Haz and Dianne. I've added that informaton to the resource page.
It's okay - we got the gist!
Angel, I've just realised that you're up at an unearthly early hour. Have you been to bed and up early?
:) now the resource page has a favicon! check it out.
I have indeed been to bed, Haz. got up for a call of nature; will be heading back for a nap shortly.
Oh my g-d - Angel you really are an addict.
That's good. You need sleep to restore all those brain cells and creative juices.
Dianne, you sound surprised......:)
There are levels of addiction - are you full blown or are there an even higher levels?
I'm going to be in big trouble if Babble ever ceases to exist.
Angel - if that should happen we will all rely on you to create a Babble2 ;)
full blown, no doubt. the resource page online is my creation, and I did it originally as a page stored on my hard drive, just three days after I found Babble. Took me ten minutes of playing the first day to go Pro. Oh, yes, full-blown, no doubt about that.
I wish I knew how, Dianne. not that I'd compete with Dr G.
Angel - 2 useful links for you - mineral names - http://mineral.galleries.com/m inerals/by-name.htm, hebrew letters - http://www.jewfaq.org/alephbet .htm
(if babble ever vanishes, my dear husband has a very similar program and web pages written and functional :P)
same here!! atalante...
Does anyone have clues for the last 3 ca's (ca6/30, ca7/48 & ca7/44)????
Chris - it uses the q and sounds like cask
yay! the babble husbands' network!
That's for the 6. Then either plural, or past tense for the 7.
TYVM haz - c's now finished.
You're welcome.
EG 6/24 ? this has turned my mind to mush
Plural of the eg4/6
omg! how did I not see that
Morning all.
Hi Jac!
atlanate, thanks for the links! they've been added to the resource page. FYI, you can always post your Babble related links on my thread in BA...general...announcing a new Babble Resource...and I will add them from there. I check that thread regularly.
FINISHED!!
Just found the Queen's dogs running around the grid.
Well done, MrP. *~*~*~*~FIREWORKS FOR MRP*~*~*~*~
Missing a 7? Got 4x ca7 & ro7!!!! What else?
Congrats MrP
5 X C's

are those queens dogs really there i dont appear to be able to spell it
ca 7/44 ca7/40 ca 7/32 ca7/48 ca7/44
Okay, got the 2 ca7's using the Q & the 2 golfing ones, any help with the other?
Sandy - Yes, the Queen dogs are there.
hey pres i got an icon im working on being able to put the topical ones up but im pleased so far lol
The ca 7/32 is plural little Spanish house.
sandy... you are doing great!! Woooohoooo!! Icons on the move!!
'quicker than the dead'... anyone want to elaborate to what that means??
and i ve got a little head as well im pracically a computor genius
I've found 70 words since I said 'Good Morning'. This is fast. Bet I'll hit a wall soon!
jac i obviously cant spell them (the dogs i mean)
Sandy - English expression of amazement followed by WW2 American soldier
Sandy - Are you trying to include an 'e' like in the rather rude or6/24? If so, remove it for both co words.
LOL ty jac
sorry ty haz
centre of an apple - change last letter to g.... then add 3rd vowel
Just as well 'cats' isn't quite in the grid or there'd be chaos!:-)
still havn't figured out the ca7 (little spanish house)?
ca7 - ca + to s** on a chair + 1st vowel
If you have the first three letters add part of Miss Hayworth's name for the ca6
Thanks
Jacula, there IS chaos - haven't you see that the ro7/48 are there?
No Haz. I will look for it now...
Got it. Thanks, Haz.
Good - taking a break, will be back later.

Hi Eva!!
Morning Eva. You look a little tied up there.LOL.
hi mrp & jacula. Plastic garbages bags are also in the running for me...garbage, laundry, moving, covering the floor for painting, wrapping things. Can remember the days before them.
Me, too, Eva. It was newspaper and wooden teachests back in the 70s.
gotta go and entertain the masses darling son has laryngitis (YES!) and daughter is having theraputic benefits with my wigs.... ahhhhh, kids!!
See you, MrP.
The caption on the new icon (refresh to see), says "suggested use of duct tape to increase national security.
ROFLOL
Morning Eva and Jacs Love the icons!

I'm taking a break at 116 words found to feed the cats. I was so busy Babbling that I forgot to let the poor things out of the utility room and feed them.:-(
morning. whats todays icon theme?
See ya later Jacs. Capone - significant inventions.
Morning Capone. Today's theme is 'famous inventions'.
kewl
Can spellcheck be regarded as one of them?
LOL Haz, happy Friday's!
I'm laughing, Capone - your phonetic rendering is much more meaningful!
FMitch - is that the first computer we're seeing?
wutz rong wit pore speleengs?
G'day every1. 8) Looks like a decent grid today. Are looks decieving ? I've heard they can be.
Ah, now speaking of looks being deceiving, did you know that the Japanese have a specific word for a girl who looks from behind as though she is pretty, but isn't when viewed from the front?
It is indeed Haz, the forerunner, but Babble would't run on it so I chucked it out.
Haz, is it the same word for men?
Haz - What's that word? 'Omigod'?? LOL. Cat's got their revenge on me in usual way. Won't tell you what I've just had to clean up.:-(
Englishmen just say 'disappointment' but Japanese men apparently say 'Bakku-shan' - or so the Readers Digest informs me...
Just thought of another word is could be, 'Shezaminga'.
Haz - What does bakku-shan mean?
Men here would probably call her a 2 bagger.
Excellent - I don't know if there's a male equivalent in Japanese. Ezaminga, perhaps?
LOL, Haz. Yes, it works both ways.
bakku-shan ' A girl who looks as though she might be pretty when seen from behind, but isn't when seen from the front.'
BRB coffee calling
I wondered if there was some literal translation like 'YUK!' I shall write that word down and tell Paul about it. Being a trucker, he'll probably find everyday use for it.:-)
Hawaiian people are also creative with their language. They have a word or phrase 'O Ka La Nokonoko' which means 'A day spent in nervous anticipation of a coughing fit'. That would look good on your sick note for work, wouldn't it?
just a FYI for anyone who likes dogs - the Crufts website is officially crap, but there's a wonderful one here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/birmingha m/crufts/ - with lots and lots of pics!
Haz - I'd love to see a boss's face if faced with that on a sick note.:-) Atalante - Thanks. I missed the working dogs section on TV last night. That's the only bit that really interests me. I'm hoping to pick some footage up on the Net.
The Hawaiian phrase is probably all too true if you need 'Tena pads' or 'Depends'. :-(
Haz - Is that this month's copy of RD magazine you're getting the info from or one of their books? Sounds fascinating reading.
woo hoo Finished!!!!
It's the March 2006 copy - it's just a little article which tickled me.
Well done RHiggins! Maybe you can clue me in on the as5/14 & 6/24? I still don't have them. Echo sounders didn't work for me.
Thanks, Haz. I will check it out.
wow - isnt it amazing when you remember words you can't even remember you knew - I wouldn't have ever thought about that echo sounder word, but as soon as echo sounder was mentioned, I knew it immediately
and Jac - as + short form of book where words are listed
I AM DONE! Thanks Atalante. That's a new word I've learned today.
Good Morning all :)
Jacula-I used to have a cabinet in which I kept my sweaters, underwear, etc. The cat liked to jump in there and rummage around the sweaters while I got dressed. One day I didn't notice and closed the door and left the house for 10 hours. Can you imagine? Had to buy a lot of new sweaters and underwear.
I'm off for something to eat. I may be back later if I can disentangle myself from the ironing board. I shall watch my recorded episodes of Dalziel & Pascoe to lessen the pain of having to iron. Toodlepip!
Later Jacs.
Eva - Unfortunately, I can imagine all too well. Poor you! Faerie - Hi & 'bye for now.
Poor cat too! They are so fastidious.
brb, coffee is ready.

Ishult - there's a plural se4/5 and for the se 6 it's like the past tense of Spanish six.
Evan-tee hee* I thought it was zodiac sign day.

So Evan-what's my sign? lol

Hi liana! Long time, no see! How are you? It's an OR6 you are looking for. I think the roman's made them fashionable : )
or/6
Ca6/27= guy who carries golfers bag (+plural for 7 & past tense) or change last letter to s for another (+ add 2 letters to make plural)
atalante, too right! And especially in this weather. I have abandoned word search and am looking for my recipe : )

Good morning all. If you have ever spent a week at camp you will know that my invention is absolutely the best invention ever.
BAND CAMP?
(((((musicmom))))) LOL
capone! LOL : D
I was thinking GS camp but could be band camp depending on where it is held.
*hola lola!*
Hi musicmom : )
Hey evaN! : )
nm, MM, had to refresh to see your avatar. thought it might be a flute.
and that folks is my sick sense of humor that got me in trouble w/TSM.
LOL Capone.
If you will recall Capone, I tried to warn you yesterday.<G> You should listen to the mom!
Capone so is she speaking to you at all, or are you really in the dog house? lol
capone, we haven't met yet.... but I think we're going to get on just fine, lol! ; )
Capone and Toes sitting in a tree K-i-s-s-i-n-g *tee hee*
i know, but when someone steps into a right, they should expect a black eye! unfortunately i was the one that got punched. (not that type of punch people)
Prescription for resolution: apology (even if you didn't do anything)+chocolate+foot massage
Oh Capone- I woman can hurt you with her tounge worse than with a slap on the face or a kick in the nu**
lol, whats an apology?
See MusicMom - he just doen't know when to quit...
Something you would be very smart to learn about very quickly. We were married 2 years when I got preg. with Sarah. Greg learned how to say "I'm sorry" really quick. He's never forgotten either.
i'm just joking about apology btw. just needs some cooldown time. guess its agood thing i came home.
Repeat after me: 'I'm Sorry Sweetheart"
well, she already knows i'm sorry, so i saved myself from being reminded and just left it at "i apologize"
Dr_God answered my prayers. We have S and ED today. YES!!!
RFLOL
Capone - and all this after she made you that beautiful icon. Shame shame -- I'm so disappointed in you.
Help, please....CA 6-7-7-...blank! I cannot find the next CA6 and 8. ^_^
I prayed with you last night Music....Unbelievable...but I actually finished yesterdays puzzle with 1 hr to spare. I had company off and on all day yesterday plus I didn't feel the best. Feeling great to. Going up North with John and his daughter Casey tonight for the weekend.
Terrific for finishing yesterday. I finished as well but it was a struggle. Have fun this weekend. Have to take the girls shopping for spring dresses and shoes tonight, strip wallpaper tomorrow, Thinking Day for GS tomorrow night and cookie sales on Sunday. What weekend?
Gramma - look at 7:28 post great clues.
Can I brag on my kids for a minute?
MM-please..yes
Please don't make me resort to A to Z.....help?
Sarah was nominated to participate in an All State Honors Choir this summer. Her Community choir director nominated her. Hannah has been picked from the Kindergarten to write a book and illustrate it for the Reading Rainbow competition. We had a very good day yesterday<G>
faeriekae, I saw that and I keep looking at it......to no avail :{
gramma - I don't know about the second set....sorry.
I don't have them gramma:-(
Ok. Thanks anyway
Gramma - re the clues given at 7:28. There was a popular movie in the 1980's called "ca*** shack". The ending is differnent in the grid.
Oh MusicMom-congratulations....yo u have two very smart little girls there. Know wonder you are soooo very proud of them...Sarah and Hannah must be paying very close attention to detail....that says an awful lot. Yeah for Hanah and Sarah.... (*^_^*)
DONE...anyone need a clue?
Thanks Faerie - most of the time they are good kids.
gramma, for the ca6-7-7 think tea ca**** (you may be wanting to end it in a 'y' but it's the two vowels instead). Hope that helps : )
Ouw-Congratulation!!!! Gramma needs clue for 2nd set of ca 6/21 7/36 6/30 7/48 7/44
tea cup?
the next ca6 is the same as the ca7 before it, just drop the final vowel. Pluralise that for the 8 : )
CA a coarse woolen fabric or ribbon binding. TYA
Something tells me I'm going to need the list today. Think I will try using MrP checklist again.
ca6/21, etc. sounds like E. A. Poe's "The _____ of Amontillado...then various endings
MM-it just takes spending time with them and teaching them live values. And you have a knack for that. Your such a good mommy :)
musicmom, that is wonderful! You must be very proud of your kids : )
Thanks guys. I am proud. Greg and I love being parents but I think some of it has to come from the child as well. We are very blessed.
how many words we lookin at today?
awwwwwwwwwwww-thats so sweet ;
Right, popping out to the shops, back later : )
1121 words
Bye Lola - have fun
Later Lola :)
wow...fairie...thought i was done...but apparently I need 1000 more...lol
OMG- I mean 121 words sorry to scare you like that. LOL
HHEEE Ouw. Good one.
Andy_la did you run away....I'm sorry...I was wrong just reduce that by 1000.....lol
I have 1015 so far 8)
Grama-LOL yeah me too...
AHA! I have 1045
1027 here...
10620here!
Evan - show off.
heh, make that 1062!
LOL Evan we really are going to scare Andy away...
I need a "n"
those last 1000 are going to be hard to find in this grid
Actually Andy, if I have that many then the grid cant be too tough.
faeriekae, here you go "N"
Ouw-lol-really?
LOL faerie - me too on the "n" but I didn't want to sound greedy after I got my Ss
ROFL Gramma
I hope that helped
we just can't have everything I guess.
Oh yes we can!
REALLY!!!!
Of course
i think im stuck, with 59 to go...
Okay I am hereby setting myself a time limit. I will only work on this for the next two hours and then I WILL get up and do some housework. <G>
Yeah - evan it is like being stuck in the molasses swamp on Candyland - you can let me catch up<G>
I'm outta here then-----going shopping *grabs MM by the hand* *lets go get the girls something really nice they deserve it* *and new cars for both of us*
musicmom, where is your commitment? 2 hours? Come on, give it your life
anyone have hints for the 8s?
Good idea Faerie! Can I get a Hummer?
Gramma- I have been giving it my life and that's why my house looks like it does. DISASTER CITY!
C ya faeriekae Bring me a present.
You can get one for you and one for your Greg it ya want...
Musicmom, be careful when you ask for sexual favors in the log 8)
He's a wimp - doesn't want a Hummer wants some little Spyder sports car or something.
heh, i think the OR6 has peoples minds in the gutter... i was thinking along the same lines gramma. ;)
Oh sheesh GRAAAAMMMMAAAAAAAA.
And by the way, your toilet does look dirty
ROFL-------Especially with our or 6/4 in the grid.
Good thing you can't see the floor around it very well<G>
Hey..you started it!
i totally think "owies" should be accepted... i get them all the time!
Okay if not a hummer - a mini cooper.
I agree Evan.
I can smell it. Oh wait.....that's the paper mill across the lake.
My favourite invention - the cruise liner - a different view every morning although my wife still can't believe they float!
haha I have candles to cover the smell.
oh yuck gramma - used to smell the papermills all the time when I lived at Hilton Head Island. They are nasty.
ok, so ive got CA7 x2 and RO7 any hints on the others?
just read this re Patrick Dempsey: "We'd like a dish of lemon sauce with our hot thespian"--pix in Details mag are, well . . . *wipes fevered brow*
I thought it was inventor not invention...DOH
filling my coffee cup brb. (this doesn't count in my 2 hours by the way - I get the minutes back).
Sorry to say there are FIVE ca7's
yipes! well, ive got 2 related to golf. hints on the others?
Evan-I've just been running my mouth sorry. Not here.
one looks like the spanish word for "small house"
time in - I'm back. Evan - I can't help you. I have been talking more than gridding. I have a bad habit of that.
oops, sorry, that's ca6
Good Morning Babbleland!!
ah, but the plural exists!
They are plurals and past tense of the small house and the helmet
Evan-the golf one - ok - they already did it. then drop the last vowel make plural. then make plural again
Good morning all new joiners. Jump into the fun!
And two of the ca7's are right at the end of the other ca's
Hi Kiss:)
ok, ive got all the C7s but the helmet one (i think). and ive now got the Ca8
thanks, spellit--i'd missed the helmet one
I don't get the helmet. hmmmmm let me think
helmet is a french word that sounds like an old container for wine
1121!!! Done. I'm going to jump in the shower and bbl to see if I can help.
hi everyone!
ca***** of Amontillado
ok, then ive got 2 for golf and 2 for the helmet. i need to spanish house one...
Congrats Gramms *~*~*~*~*~
(((((temple))))) Hi :)
hey whats up with the toilets?
Got the helmet. Thank you!
Kissmyglass - greatest/most important invention ever.
mine is actually toilet landing lights....a must for those nighttime bathroom trips
toilets represent our state of mind stemming from the OR/6 word
TO - or for any man who can't aim.
lol mom! a problem i no longer have!
intriguing
any hints for the CA7 thats not golf related or helmet related?
Hello all , I'm back to find my last 44 words.
ca 7/32 is the plural for little Spanish house
Hi Haz :)
<--- doesnt know spanish
yawn, morning all!
morning jen and haz.
Hi Jen :) time to wake up.
Okay it's the first three letters of ca4/5 (packing thing) plus last three letters of Miss Hayworth's name.
Then plural for the ca7
<---------- thinks she knows some spanish but obviuosly not enough because "little house" not ringing a bell :)
think Margarita in her ca*****
ahhh, the only spanish i could think of for house was "casa" hehe
use the spanish for house (mi ca** ) and add the end of an unmarried spanish lady senor***
ok, any hints for the other 8? i have the CA8
yeah me to evan an im wondering well... i cant find casa in the board to save my life so.... lol
se 8 - a combination of se4/5 and ca 4/5.
must visit my icon brb.
take the last first vowel off.
interesting. thanks haz
thanks, musicmom!
ty guys
You're welcome.
i found a web page of insane patents - it's hilarious - i may have to change later it was so hard to pick one!
yw - I'm back.
Does the ca 8 build off any of the 7s?
You're much faster than RobRob.
Haz - LOL
Yes and no. It is the plural of ca6/27 - first four letters as usual then form of verb 'to be'. Pluralise for the 8
plural of ca6
LOL Haz - I'm on a time schedule today. I don't have time to waste on piddly things.
am v confused about this helmet that sounds like a wine carrier. any other clues? please?
thats because RobRob always has to poo poo not pee pee *tee hee*
Have you considered a bucket beside the computer? That would save time....
Atalante - use the highest point tile on the board today.
Well haz yes I have but I'm fond of my icon.
Atalante - do you know a word beginning ba that refers to a region of Spain/France and also a type of undergarment? Put c instead of b.
haz -- you mean somethingl ike this? http://www.mcphee.com/i tems/10727.html hehe
Atalante - the one with two letters in one tile.
Thanks, Haz
oh! *giggles* I've got those! I didn't realise they were helmets. duh.
refresh
YES! Faerie - that's what I need. hehehe
I love it.
One for RobRob *teehee*
Is there a built in air freshener?
Is the seat cushioned? Heated?
LOL - Need to borrow a candle from Music Mom...
I have apple pie, vanilla, clean linen, mango, peach and blueberry. Which would you like?
Clean Linen sounds nice for the pottie room. lol
I have it in the room with the litter box<g>
Funny, I have a peach candle burning in my kitchen right now. I love it.
My peach one is in my kitchen as well. Blueberry in the piano room because the room is blue, apple pie in the living room (they were housewarming gifts), vanilla in the bedroom.
I have a pear candle in the kitchen that I got as a gift... didn't think I'd like it, but it really neutralizes odors!
ok new icon since this seems to be the theme
Lets see I have Peachy King in Kitchen, Lilac Blossom in Bath and Orange Patchouli in Bedroom....I love Patchouli.....I actually wear the lotion every day and put the oil in my hair along with faerie dust.
(((((shorty))))) LOL good one.
sorry to jump in - speaking of candles - I bought some a couple of candles from Kohl's they are great - nice strong (not overpowering) scent. They are under $10. Good Morning by the way....
I like Patchouli but have to be careful with it. Too much gives Greg a headache.
Morning Lupe Shorty - I love it. Whoever picked this theme is probably cringing now. <g>
Lupe - from Kohls huh...gotta go there tomorrow with friends daughter....I know what I'm looking for. Thanks
I mix my Patchouli with Vanilla to tone it down....
We had a 30% coupon so I figured I would try a couple on and get them on sale - I regret now buying more.... I usually get the candles from bath & body works during their semi-annual sales - I think I may be switching Kohl's candles from now on....
Can I recommend Yankee Candle's Cranberry Chutney?
I can't stand vanilla scent... reminds me too much of my great aunt's bathroom.
I might try that Faerie - Vanilla doesn't bother him at all. That's one reason I wear it and have candles in that scent. I use Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body works as my every day scent in the winter. Mandarin Mango is my warm weather scent. Like anyone cares. I don't know why I am so chatty.
OOOHhh haz. Thanks for that recommendation. Sounds heavenly.
It's a lovely warm fruity smell. Some of the cinammon ones are too heavy, the cranberry one is really pleasant.
Patchouli is a scent that you either like or not...I feel in love with in about 5yrs ago and have learned how to mix some wonderful scents...lucky for me John like it too.
Excellent I agree about some cinnamon ones.
musicmom - I love the perfume scents from bath and body works - I have the raspberry one and the fig vanilla - LOVE them! As a matter of fact got an e-mail that they have their spring line out - I'll be going to sample them this weekend.
Haz-I have a Yankee Candle Store just down the road from me. The Cranberry was the flavor of the month last month I think. It smells good enough to eat....
Yes, I really like it and my husband has even asked that we keep buying it as he likes it so much.
I like Yankee Candles too - a little pricey though -
LOL - Lupe - I'm going to Bath and Body Works this afternoon cause Im running out of the Fig lotion. Also love Gardenia for summer :)
sorry mm was chatting with my niece just saw your post LOL they probably are LOL
Bugzy - did you get the latest e-mail - it has a coupon attached to it...
Lupe - i'm boring I always get the same thing at B&B. Yankees are pricey but they last a long time.Longer than the cheap candles from other places in my opinion.
Hi Everyone, BTW :)
Now Jen-Vanilla used to be worn by women as perfume when they couldn't afford it...But mixing it with other scents can be fun. I also like Victorias Secret Love Spell.
Have to nip off and collect my daughter from the station. She's home for the weekend and may try to commandeer the computer....
Haven't checked my e-mail yet this morning, Lupe, but I will, thanks !
I love candle I had a big bag from bath and body works my friend got it for me she works there and got it for 50 bucks it lasted a year I gave alot of it it away for gifts
maybe so, but it still reminds me of her bathroom. lol What does patchouli smell like?
You know what cheeses me off about B&BW, though is that they discontinue scents. I used to love the White Ginger & Amber and now they don't have it anymore!! :(
OMG-Bugzy is wearing a bra....and nothing else.
Bye Haz. HAve a great visit.
Cool Shorty - I stock up after the holidays and save the stuff for Mother's day - the room sprays are a big hit will all my family and friends.
Bye Haz!
YEP I used to use something from there with grapefruit in the name can't get it anymore.
White Ginger and Amber....I remember those....
I know thats when they have there employee sales when the disc the old ones
2 bras, even, Faerie!! LOL Greatest invention ever!! If it weren't for them we'd still be wearing corsets...
She's ready for the or6
Bye Haz - enjoy
everyone - BBL! have fun!
I LOVE THE ROOM SPRAYS the smell last for a long time
LOLOLOLOL
True Bugzy!!! Although, did you notice that they brought back a lot of the "old" scents???
bugzy: the silly inventions site had a butt bra...
I was going to put a box of tampons up there as my best invention ever, but I thought I'd scare some of the guys... :)
later Temple :)
LOL Temple and see ya later -
Bye TO
Shorty - I usually buy the room sprays when they are on sale - I wish they sold big bottles -
Bugzy-LOL-good point.
bye Temple!
brb have to use my icon Now
I saw they're bringing back some of the old scents... but not mine! Boo! :(
The funny thing is that I was really upset when they discontinued the Freesia - when I saw they brought it back I got a bottle of the body lotion and believe it or not, I didn't like it as much -
ahhh I'm back
welcome back shorty. I need to go make a phone call. brb.
That's so funny Lupe - my friend likes the citrus basil and she said the same thing about the re-introduced one!!
I now I use to love the moonlight path now i don't like the smell anymore
know*
On a completely unrelated note... We got take-out from Pizza Hut last night and there is a Babble grid on the takeout box!! Spent all the time at the dinner table finding words....
da 5/14 hlp pls
bugzy, me to last week with the box!! lol
plural of da 4/6
Hi guys, I'm back....have you all been good while I was gone?? : )
I have 2 da5/14, both plurals
Please, a clue for the r 8?
Hi Lola :) Just some girl talk-
g'mornin' kids... Bugzy - I almost used the same invention (and thought better of the other choice too...)
Hi EB - Good call :)

Hi bugzy, EB : )
See you later faerie !

see you later faerie...
kiss, did you choose to save them as jpegs?
kiss - I save the pix into a folder & then upload them that way...dunno if that helps or not...
o i never saved them on my computer, should i?
thats a better idea... ty
kiss - make sure you've deleted the automatic http:// babble puts in the box - if thats still there, it'll come up with the jpg / gif error
ata, have you baked yours yet?? : D
I'm back! Can someone go look at the Babbke resiyrce oage abd tekk ne wgat you think about the added content and favicon? I did them early this morning and want to know if they're okay.
thank you very much!!
angel, sorry to be a pain but where do i find it? : )
Done! Tata everyone! Gotta take dog to kennel! Have a great weekend!
lola, there's a link in my profile and on BA/General/Announcing a New Babble Resource.

bye Jen - have a good weekend!!
Yay and bye Jen !
some for pudding tonight, and then some for morning tea tomorrow - perfect!
*sigh* It really is THE ultimate comfort food, isn't it? : )
yes *sigh* its the one thing that reminds me of the Cape more than anything else. Sitting in the sunshine at little cafes in the mountains eating LMP
signing out for the day...will be back tonight to actually do the grid whilst hubby watched college basketball!!! HUGS!
oops...watches (what is LMP??)
*gasps* lemon meringue pie - the best thing ever!
Bye EB :)
EB, lemon meringue pie....atalante's making one and now she has me doing it too! 'bye, see you later : )

wow, i leave for a few hours and everything turns to .... toilets
capone - it's up to you to raise the tone.
haha Haz. Capone is going to do that?
what dictates the avatar theme each day? i'm still a big noob here
Come on, Capone - you have to rise to the challenge now!
I have a theme in mind for next wednesday, you will have to wait until then.
and there is nothing wrong with the poo pot, i take care of all my bills there.
there, apple's iToilet should fit right in.
hhehe capone. That's great. As a confirmed Mac user - I'm impressed.

Hello, all, just dropped by to say and bye have to get ready to go out to my volunteer job....
bye bye chic
Hi chic bye chic
hi chic! : )
can someone tell me if the ta4/5 that is something spicy and yummy for lunch is the first 4/5?
Hi and Bye Chic! And hi to anyone who came in while I was gabbing to a friend...
Stoped in to say I'm leaving for up North...thought I would get a head start. It is a 2hr drive and it is supose to start raining again so I may as well get on the road. I75 is terrible on Fridays.
There's one ending in a different vowel, mm
no, mom - there's another and its plural, at least
Allrighty, I'll peek back in later and try to get the grid done, I have pick ups for Ebay today and I HATE IT when people come to my house! I have to clean, blech!
Faerie - drive safely.
Good luck Faerie - where up north are you going? I-75 is a nightmare down here too, they're doing all the construction now so it will be better (hah) for summer !!
Hi and Bye Bunny :) have a nice weekend.
You too, enjoy the drive!
'bye faerie, drive carefully! : )
BYE faerie - please be very careful. See you later. Have a great time and TAKE IT EASY!
Bugzy that's right your in the Detroit area. I'm going up to Gaylord. It is beautiful up there isn't it?
bye faeriekae, bye bunny!
Hi and 'bye bunny : )
Thanks haz and TO that's where I goofed.
I love it up there, Faerie. We have a cabin near Gladwin/West Branch... Can't wait to get back up there in the spring!!
REALLY-I go to Gaylord every weekend in the summer. John has a beautiful house on Otsego Lake.
We're on Secord Lake, it's part of the Tittabawasee River. We try to get up there every other week or so in the summer too... Summer seems like a long way away :(
clue for the eg6?
It's the plural of eg 4 - eg plus form of to be
Thank you. I kept trying to make it past tense.
I know exactly where Secord Lake it. It is really nice there. My ex and I actually camped there a few times. Must get going and get the house warmed up and start supper for everyone. I love doing that. Having the house smelling of good food and all dusted and ready for lots of fun. Doing some shopping for John this weekend. He needs an area rug for the dining room. Can't wait. Bye (((musicmom))) have a nice weekend.
Have a good time - we'll miss you!
Have a great weekend Faerie & be careful driving :)
anyone have a clue for the ca7/40 and ca7/48
sorry that's ca7/48 and ca 7/44
ca 7/40 is the plural golf carrier people
they're the two verb forms of the ca6 previous
Do you have the ca 6/30? If so, the 7's are plural and past tense
ca 6/30 rhymes with mask but uses the double letter tile.
I figgered that. I can't find th ca6 after the ca732. That is my problem
ca7/48 and ca7/44 past tense and plural of the ca6/30. It's a helmet. Sounds like what you do to wine while you age it, uses the double letter tile : )
Hi everyone, fit, do you mean the last two CA's? Doesn't matter, I don't have them.
i'm done! I really need to go clean the house and start the naan for dinner but will come back and help with clues later.
Yay for musicmom!
And hi Deutsch!
Congratulations, musicmom.
great clues lola. I got them all. Thanks
title of a poe story "The Ca.... of Amontillado."
Hi deutsch! : )
Hi Lola, Yea musicmom!
Yay! Well done musicmom! : )
Hi Everyone : )
Hi anj!
Hey Anj :)
Hey gorgeous! (((xx))) : )
Hi there Bugzy, Deutsch : ) Hey babe (((xx))) ; )
LOL! I've just been trying to find the 5 Ss at the bottom left and greyed out the middle S instead : /
sc/4 large amount sc/5 plural sc/4 a style of singing
Ok, the ca6/27 and 8/55 have me stumped. I know what the first 4 letters are, but I'm not monkeying the right endings!! Help!!
Bugzy, sound like the type of fly that buzzes about a golfer carrying his clubs ; ) ...and a plural...
bugzy, drop the last vowel from the ca7 before. Pluralise for the 8 : )
bah, about 1/2 done and have to go. have a good weekend peeps!
TY Lola! The only combination I didn't try!!
Have a good one Capone : )
'bye capone, you too! : )
See you later Capone!
bye capone (Had to take a call from a bank)
Is the ro7 a normal, everyday word...or do I need to set my monkeys on it? } )
lola - it depends on where you live - noisy riff-raff might cover the description.
Good Morning, everyone -- back for the last 9 that I couldn't stay awake for last night. :)
Lo, think of some Yates...wasn't that Clint Eastwood's role in Rawhide?
ro7 is people who act a little wild and disruptive, normal once you see it
Ah! thanks guys! : )
Hello, cybernan!
Hi cybernan!
Hi cybernan :)
Hi cyber : )
Must go get some lunch - be back for the last few in a bit :)
Later bugzy : )
Later bugzy
hi all : ) hi Anj, Lola, Deutsch, Bugzy, Haz, everybody! *waves* not playing as my sister has a lot of work to do, but she's on a break, so I can say hello. :D
Hi Babs : )
Hi babs! (((xx))) Thanks for the mail, will reply this weekend : )
Hi babbler!
Hi babbler - waving back..
so I haven't been forgotten then?? ;D lol!
*gasp!* Of course not!!!
*sneaking in while on a call at work* BABS!!! I've missed you....long time no see!! Hi everyone....
Babs, how's the weather oop north??
Hi EB : )
Hi EB!
Hi EB : )
Hi BAbbler -- good to see you!
(((EB))) really? I've been missed? :D:D:D awwww! Anj, it's raining. are you surprised? : / lol!
hey cyber! : )
hi cyber - haven't see you in awhile either!! Babs - of course!!
Been here every grid, Eastern -- but I was finishing the short ones at night, so on at a different time.
cyber - sadly - work has been busy (I'm rebelling a little today)...so I haven't been playing as much lately...(except the 42 & 96 one yesterday...)...the 'biggies' I left alone!!
Need help for my last two... as 5/14 & 6/24?
This one isn't so bad either, Eastern -- mostly everyday words.
cyber - i've already dipped my toes in!! : )
as5/12 - add part of man's name (Mr Van Dyke) then plural.
as5/14 I should have said.
thanks haz, great clue! : )
Quick hi everyone. Eastern your choice of greatest invention is so very you - love it. Ok. Going to work in silence a little while.
You're welcome - had to think of an international one!
Great clue, Haz -- must have tried everything but -- knew from points that both c and d had to be there.
Hi mab! : )
hi mab!! thanks...I LOVE crayons as a child (o.k. - I STILL do!!) good to see you!!! ((HUG))
Hi Mab
And..........Je suis fini !!!! (starting to brush up the french!)
Bien Hecho Cyber!!
Thanks EB. Hi Lola!
Whoa! Just got an invitation to go out of town for the night! That means I can't babble all evening! That means I need clues.... co 5/16 & 6/27?
BTW -- my icon is of the Falkirk Wheel
Good for you Harpjane !!!
Hi Deutsch - your choice of greatest invention is very you also.
Co5/16 and 6/27 the queen's dogs
Well done - and if you're brushing up your French, cybernan - je suis finie!
hi, all.
Woo! Well done cyber! : )
lola, did you get a chance to look at the Babble Resource page?
TY - Haz Must admit that I'm not paying too much attention to spelling -- just have to be able to speak enough to get by.
Hi angel! I had a quick peek at the page...very nice! : )
congrats, cyber! :) hi Mab, Angel. (sorry for delay, I lost my internet connection)
mab, it's a well-known fact that a zebra invented camouflage. LOL They're just not sure which zebra!
lola, does the content of the page make sense?
WTG, cyber Hi Angel
Time to go and make tea. Happy hunting! And you're right, cybernan, it makes no odds when you're speaking.
Could I get a clue for the CO words?
I gave you one at 11.09 harpjane
I just hope the French people take the same attitude that we do --- it doesn't matter that the visitor's speech isn't perfect -- just pleased that they try!
You can never go wrong with a zebra, Deutch. Babbler, I nearly went with the wheel myself, but decided I liked letters - aramaic/hebrew - better.
angel, I think it's brilliant! It's great to have all the bits and pieces that I use with babble in one place and even a computer dummy like me seems to be able to find everything. Great job, thank you! : )
co's: -- the queen's favourite dog breed
thanks, tiger. Didn't see it!
'bye haz : )
Mab, mine's a Jethro Tull seed drill, invented 1701. Love the band, had to have the invention, lol! I love your idea. I don't think I've ever seen Aramaic. bye Haz : )
anyclue for the di 6
Jethro Tull rocks! What about Fairport Convention?
di 6: "pluralise" the last di 4/5
di6 what an angry brother says to his girl sibling
Fairport Convention are pretty cool too. I've seen Dave Ward play a little concert at Cecil Sharp House (??) on his electric fiddle and his mandolin. Pretty good! :D
What does di6 and stuff mean?
Hey all
Hi toes! How you feeling? : )
I've also seen the Strawbs - the bassist drinks in our local...
(((Toes))) How's the bump? : )
Hi TSM!
Hi Toes & "baby toes to be"
Matty, go to Babblers Anonymous, in the panel on the right. Click on General. You'll see a message from me to another newbie. After that, I would direct you to Babble Rules, top of the page here. : )
Matty: (di 6/21) di = first two letter in the word, 6= number of letter in the word, 21 = number of points in the word
(((((TOES!!!))) (((( BUMP)))) :D xxx
EB, havve you been to the crayola factory in EAston, PA?
Deutsch - no...but I'd like to go someday...
ROFL! ((( BABBLER ))) Honey I missed you! How are you?
Matty, sorry, it's in General, then Stats for today. : )
matty. also check out the Babble resource page (link is in Babbler's Anonymous/General/announcing a new Babble resource. Lots of good information for new players there.
I tried the queen's favourite dog breed - didn't accept... Ya know, I get the rules, I have a reasonably good vocabulary, and I'm crap at this game. *sigh*
((( lola, anj, easter, deutsch)))
Angel - you've been added under "Friends of Babble!!"
We feel great thanks lol
Matty, it takes time to learn all the fancy words Babble takes. And some words do like to hide from view, lol!! Stick with it. : )
wow!!! I'm really happy!!! It must be a good page for sure, for Jamie to add it.... :)
I'm good thanks, Toes. How about you?????????? :D
ERII's fave dog breed is co5/16 and co6/27 : )
Matty, I've been babbling for a while, and words still elude me. Took me 20 minutes to find that first sa word! LOL
wOOt! I found all the As on my own : D wOOt! wOOt! wOOt!
congratulations Angelsong! Good work!! : D
matty - hang in there...you know you've been playing for awhile when there are words you'd never heard of (BB - before Babble), and now they look 'commonplace' - altho' you'd be darned to figure out how to drop them casually into everyday conversation!! 8 )
Could I get a clue for the OR words? Thanks.
hi every one just got back from school and had to do my hoemwork :)
how long is today's grid taking, on average? and how hard is it? (wondering if I can play in my sister's breaks?)
I really am pleased, Babbler! That just makes my day.... :)
I need to learn to spell the dog breed. Embarassing, as my brother keeps the same breed.
hi wezzie...just think - now that you're homework is finished - you can enjoy the rest of the weekend! 8 )
Harp, or6 featuring togas, wine and R-rated fun ; )
I'm glad that your homework takes precedence, Wezzie!
Hi wezzie!
waaah, there's my answer.... my sister's coming back to work now. :'( bye bye all! have fun :D xxx
bye babbler!
bye Babs...catch you later!! ((((HUG))))
'bye babs! : )
Does anyone know when swmbo is usually playing? -- haven't seen her for a long time.
yes I know I can tell this weekend is going to be great!!! :)
later Babs : ) ...talking of which the need to feed is mine indeed... BBL folks : )
thanks, 19 to go!
bye anj! wezzie - do you have something fun planned?
bye anj!
Hi Deutsch:)
See you later babe : )
Am I being really dumb? I just cannot get Babble to accept the dog breed or plural - and yes, I do know how to spell them!
ad 5/16?
frances, try again or maybe hit refresh...
ad5/16, totalled : )
Ad5/16 past tense of plus
Don't really know yet EasternBlue
wezzie - at any rate, it's the weekend which is always fun!! (if it's easier, you can call me "EB")...
Thanks. I'm asking for clues for words I could probalby get on my own because I get to go skiing!!!!! YAY!
you maby right you know EB :)
Deutsch Must have typed it six times and finally it was accepted. Many thanks.
oooo...harp! lucky you (downhill or cross-country?)
lunch... ttfn
bye Toes....
YW, Frances. That has happened to me occasionaly, too.
I'm on my way -- back at the flip. Good luck babbling everyone. :)
later toes!
bye cyber!
cross country. There is an overnight warming hut that is reserved months in advance. There was a last minute cancellation so we get to go! (And yes, I know, last night I was chastizing the group about giving out too much information in the log. So if someone burglarizes my house while I'm gone I'll be really embarassed!)
'bye toes and cyber : )
harp - it sounds great...I love cross -country - we haven't had enough snow this year to go... : ( Besides - won't your 5 german shepherds guard your home while you're away??? : )
bye cyber!!
uh, yeah, EB, and the devil's food cake will send any intruders straight to hell!
I'm probably going to need the fish but I can't see the de5/14 or de6/24.... please help?? : )
bye cyber :(
Would someone care to give me a teeny clue for one of the ga 5 or 6 words?
lola - I'm starting from the bottom of the alphabet & working backwards...I'm only at the s's (but T's & W's are finished!!)
Hi everyone ! lola -- for your de's, think "unfreeze"
Lola, the de's are what you do during the winter to your car (and plural)
ga5/18, g plus opp of subtract plus the 'me' vowel. Pluralise for the 6 : )
hi Cathy...
Grrrr, thanks guys. Hand me the frozen fish... : /
Hi EB, how're you? So what's the theme for the day? Hard to tell just by looking at icons.
Hi Cathy!
Hey cathy! Haven't seen you for ages, how've you been? : )
Hi Deutsch - love your zebras !
Cathy - famous inventions
Hi lola --- I'm not usually on during the day, but am at home working today, so taking a bit of lunch break and popping in. Good to see ya!
Famous inventions, huh? Ok, be right back :)
Cathy, a zebra invented camouflag! LOL
LOL Deutsch ... love it!
I have to go feed and bath small person, be back later : )
lola - lmp in oven!!
bye lola...
bye lola!
I"m missing the se 4 6 Clues, Please?
thanks! ga6/33?
Hi everyone, just started - any clues for the long words?
Deutsch - se + opp of stop
aahhh, thanks EB
boys, one is se 8 50 it's a compound word
boys - I only have 1 8 so far (lots of 4's & 5's) se 8 - what plants grow from + (think Sherlock Holmes) The _ _ _ _ of the Missing Cat
Thanks Easternblue and Deutsch!
Ok, refresh for my greatest invention icon. And, as a bit of an explanation, am sitting here at the moment with a fractured foot ... so these things ... along with my stylish boot cast, have taken on a greater importance in the last few days !!
The other 8 is ca 8 55, the plural of the ca6 above it The ca6 27 is a coarse woolen fabric
Cathy - what happened??!!
very good, Cathy. How much longer will you be using this great invention?
EB, that's the odd part -- I've no idea. Just started having pain in it, but can't remember really doing anything that would have caused it. Of course, my walking (or should I say limping) around in denial for about 10 days probably didn't help the situation :) Yes, I'm a stubborn old fool, I know !! :) :)
Deutsch -- I'm told about 8 wks ... which seems REALLY long right now !!
Cath - I'd say brave (with an extremely high tolerance for pain) if you walked around for almost 2 weeks with a broken foot!! OUCH! and (((HUGS)))
Cathy, just in time for summer!
yeah, a cast & boot is just what you need during a Florida summer :)
Thanks EB -- but dumb is definitely more like it !! But look on the bright side, I get to be home today and chat with my Babble friends :)
Can't get the ca8 or ca6 - any other clues please?
Cathy - true...there's a bright side to every pain (hey, it's Friday - I'm giddy 8 ) )
boys, the first ca6 is the golfer's helper The second is the same word, but replace the last letter with a curvy letter
ca6 (and 8) is also a type of fly. It starts like a scoundrel and ends like slang for blow someone off.
Thanks Deutsch!
and Vicuna.
yw
Clearly I was a little late, but you're welcome anyway!
Helped me, too. Had the first one, but not that second one. Thnx !!
Hi all just popping in for 5mins....grandchildren want to have a sleep over with me!!!!!!!
Multiple clues always help me. If I'm too dense to get one, I might get the other. LOL
exciting, Caitlyn
hi caitlyn... sounds like fun!!!
They spend more time with me than at their own homes!! Sorry to hear about your foot Cathy
Grey boxes everywhere. Thank you for your help! Done,
Hi caitlyn -- thanks. not sure if we've chatted much before, but I just read your profile and love it. Similar story here, and my husband always told me "you'll do anything to spite your mom and prove her wrong, won't you ??? :) :)
caitlyn - it will be memories they treasure when the get older... I remember my grandparents used to come up from Florida for several weeks in the summer - it was wonderful to spend that much time with them!!
Yea! Harp! I have16 to go.
Woo Hoo Harp!! Have fun skiing - stay warm & dry!!
congrats harp !!! I've still got about 40 to go.
Skiing this weekend, harp? Well, have fun but be careful ... we don't want you to need to borrow my crutches :)
Thanks, Cathy. I always try to stay upright!
Cathy i think we met a while ago when i was a new babbler I normally come on at this time to finish
Yeah, you're right. Probably with the time difference we just don't run into each other very often. But good to get to chat with you again, caitlyn. Hope you enjoy your weekend with the grandkids. Sounds like fun!
ga6/33 any1
ga 6 -- past tense of "to move about"
ga6/33 - past tense of larking about
ga6 means to wander aimlessless, I think of ga* about town. Past tense then
ah merci :)
Wow, I'm finished!
Woo Hoo Deutsch!!
CONGRATS Deutsch !!!
Thanks, I'm rather stunned LOL
It was that camoflage that allowed you to sneak in there and finish like that, wasn't it ?? :) :)
Cathy, LOL I guess that was it!
gi 4/7 anyone i got the one that ends in d
Hi have you got the Ga/4? If you have then just change the a for an i!
Kiss is similar to the one you have gi take out the third letter add a curvy one
Hi bexetal
4 meaning the number of letters not the score! still getting my head around the abbreviations!
hi bex....
confused now... i have gi4/7 (ends in d) gi4/6 ( ends in s) but the other gi 4/7 i think i tried everything possible still nothing
nevermind i just got it
kiss - if someone says they are extremely happy, they might be gi_ _ _.... take of the 'dy' & then make it plural
thanks bex, took me a minute but got it
Hi Deutsch how are you?
oh good clue too EB...ty
Thats ok...my clues are a bit fuddled! This is a bit of a toughie today.
bex - it's been going in 'spurts' for me...I'll get a bunch & then get stuck for a bit... : )
kiss - *blush* thanks!
I'm great, bexetal! Just finished the puzzle and am trying to give coherent clues. Not much luck there, though! LOL
evening all. thats me finished
Deutsch - how 'bout the di 6/21, please??
congrats ruthy....
just got the di 6/21...
Yep same for me. I'll do good for a bit and then I get stuck. I was trying to go down the list of letters on babbles anonymous, but it is really difficult! hey ho its fun though!
The di 6 looks like the di 4 5 above it only plural
bex - that's the spirit!! the clues and list are a whole puzzle too!!
WTG. ruthy!
Congrats Deutsch on finishing. General question for anyone out there who wants to answer and just because I am nosey. Does everyone normally finish the grid? and has everyone been on the game for a while?
EB you are right there! I have a very simple brain, I've also had a very busy week, but Sunday I'm planning to really have a wander through all the pages and find out a little more about this new world I've found!
bex - I try to finish every grid...does it happen every time (I wish!!)... I don't play every day...only when I "think" I might have enough time to try & finish... BrandyJack's List helps (along with the clues from people much swifter than I at finishing...)
bexetal, this is the first I've finished in a while. I've been babbling sense last fall.
bex - there's a new link under the Friends of Babble - called Angelsong's Resources...it's a great compilation of tools & clues...compiled & designed by another player (along with all the fun stuff in BabAnon)
Cool I will have a little wander around them all on Sunday! thanks for answering :-)
I'll see y'all later.
Woo Hoo !!! Finally finished !!! bex -- to answer your question, it was nearly 6 months of playing before I ever finished a grid. And, like EB, I try to finish each time now, and won't even start if I know time won't permit me to even have a chance. Not saying that's the best way to do it, but it's my personality ... and it just frustrates me if I don't have enough time. But enjoying it is really the key -- no matter what your goals are ... the game and the people are both equally fun :) Ok, I'm limping off my soap box now, crutches in hand :)
i barely ever finish if that makes you feel any better, i miss the most OBVIOUS words and seem to get all the ones i pull out of my rear, i still have 55 words to go and ive been doing thisd on and off for 5 hours...:D
bye Deutsch!!
Thank you Cathy. I love words and I used to play boggle as a kid. It is fun and the wierd words that come up wow! well done in finishing today.
Bye Deutsch ... have a good one !!
Woo Hoo Cathy!
go cathy, its your birthday, have a party!!!! Woo Woo
Well I got about 76 words to go if that makes you feel better!
bex -- you'll find the more you play, the easier you'll recognize some of those odd words that crop up in Babble repeatedly. Might not be used in everyday conversation, but you'll see them here :)
lol yes actually it does :) what does <<bexetal>> mean?
Happy Birthday Cathy!
does anyone know as4/5 it has been driving me nuts for the past 20 mins!
Thanks for the party & cheers, everyone. Guess I'd better actually get back to work, since I am supposed to be working at home :) Maybe I'll be back in tonight for a while, if any of you are around then. See ya !!
bexetal is a cunning way to set up my email account that noone else had thought of! My first name is Rebecca or Becky and my boyfrineds name is Alex I just shortened our names down and voila bexetal :-)
Bye Cathy....
what does kissmyglass mean?
as4/5 - and acronym, as plus beginning of opposite of countryside
(I mean "an" acronym)
Thank you!!!
so - what's it like today?????
Greetings, all!!!!!! Seeing as today is "Great Inventions" day, and seeing as my name is movieman, I've chosen the miracle that is DVD for my icon.....
rennie!! hi... not too bad...I've been working/babbling off & on for about 3 hours & I"m almost finished
very slick combo i like it!!! joe nichols (country musician) has a good song called brokenheartsville, he says "heres to the past, they can kiss my glass..." i thought it was clever
hi movieman!!
good choice movieman!!!
i selected the birth control patch....8)
anyway I'm off got to 48 words. Thanks for all your help nice to chat with you all! speak again :-)
rennie!!
bye bex!!
i know eb....i don't know why.....
because it was a great invention absolutely golden
Bugzy had bras (she almost picked tampons)...thought that would scare the 'boys' away...I thought of both of those, but decided on a childhood (and adulthood)favorite invention!!
you are wise eb....
hi guys, how are you all
hi hursh!!
hi auntie!
ro/7 any1?
rennie - finally someone who recognizes my brilliance (aside from me!!) 8 D LOL!!
ro7 - perhaps some drunks in a bar - people who cause a ruckus
hey hurshy!
kiss - the 'James Dean" type of 'bad boys" may be considered ro_ _ _ _ _
hey ren - in a little while i will be off to the pharmacy to pick up your icon :)
ooo...I like hurshy's clue better!!! anytime you can use ruckus it's a good day!!
LOL hurshy!!! great invention isn;t it!!!
lol
yes, it's much easier to remember once a week than every day
TMI!!!
auntie, don't be so squeamish :)
(it was a somewhat sarcastic TMI...).... Just keep it way from me please...that's the last thing I want right now...
...this looks like fun : )
why, are you trying to conceive?
hey anj......
I feel "safer" already.
what, anj, the grid or talking about fertility issues?
w/o much success.... :( (but it's fun tryin'!!) how's that for TMI!! 8 )
lol EB :) i have two friends in the same situation.
both - i've changed my icon to 'buy me and stop one' in honour of the chat : D
Anj - too funny!! ROFL!!! *glances around to make sure the kids aren't here...* I think we're safe!!
lol. suddenly i feel very dull for choosing the cotton gin. but when i hear the word invention, it's the first thing i think of.
(or in Anj's case - really safe!!) LOL!!!!!
LOL eb and anj!!!
hursh - confession - that's what I thought of too, but when I looked at others (I always check to make sure I'm not 'stealing' someone's icon), I saw how clever others were & opted for something different...
I am back.... man is it slow right now! No one is here!
but Toes...it's quite a topic we've broached...
All this talk of contraception reminds me of a piece of graffiti I once read: Drivers, don't pull out to avoid a child, you could fall off the bed.......LOL
movieman!!!!! LOL!!
back to work.....slow here to tsm....
bye rennie....
I love the commercial that features a child having a horrific tantrum in a store, and it turns out to be an advertisement for condoms.
slow is good } )
LOL
Anchors aweigh Babblers....thought I'd put my two penny worth in.....
Well, they do say that the best contraception is other peoples' kids : /
Making a new icon now... wait what is the icon topic today???
hi tbear....
Anj your icon keeps making me laugh ;)
Toes- inventions...
Toesock - It's great inventions today.....
sexual invention by the looks of it
Toes, great inventions, like smarties ice-cream, tv remotes, self-heating weiners etc : )
LOL Toes, i'n functional. I've got a book called Twinkle Winkle somewhere with some great cartoon humour about them... : D Hi tBear : )
Hey all! : )
Lola, hi!!!!!!
Hi babe (((xx))) : ) How was tea??
Hey you (((xx))) Haven't had DINNER yet, been baking my LMP! : )
Hey movieman! : )
ROFL! Oh sheez... Well, I could always do my MOST favorite! Mountain Dew! lol
...is that a euphenism?? ; )
hi lola!!
ToeSockMonkey, I thought your favorite invention was the navel ring!
What about hand cuffs, KY, and the hot tub? Where are those icons!? lol
NO!!! Good grief, is it toes fault that you are getting so broody?? ; )
LOL Vicuna, this is true!
Wait a tick... what did I do?
Lotti still has the handcuffs... : ) ...and Torgone might still be in them } ) lol!
true...I haven't see Tor in AGES!!!
Don't worry Toes, I think it's become frisky Friday : ) Lo, behave! lol : D
*speaks in soothing voice* Nothing toes : )

Does the ca 8/55 build off of the large words above it?
Cathb, you must have the patience of a saint....
yes bunny its the plural of the 6 above it
bunnyvicious ca6/27
Thanks Frances another great clue
She does Schro -she's put up with me since infant school!!!!!
Norma My pleasure
TY, just need those last three ca's to polish off the c's now.
Schroeder -i just feel we have to make allowances for her..it must be so frustating for her...she is has heart probs/diabetes and is housebound..she gets lonely.
bunny - think frech corset & replace the b with a c the other two are the plural and the past tense
Schroeder - i mean mother in law not snowy !!!!!
D's done and dusted...off to make a coffee...do you want a brandy in your's snowy?
I understand Cathb, she is lucky to have someone like you is so sweet and caring.
LOL CATHB big brandy & one sugar please!
Your mother in law that is....LOL
only two left ga6/33 and da5/14 the second one help
da5 is the plural of the da4/6 above it
Did I mention the only thing I can say in french is french fries?
That's my favorite french words bunny....
I LOVE French Fries! mmmmm I want some now! Oh but I still want peanutbutter too! AH!
ok..back with the coffee..the only thing was i could not find the spanish brandy,,,had to use the Remy (dont tell John Snowy)
Thanx Snowy
I'm Native American - Irish Mutt Brandy!!
lol bunny then think brewing. an object that wine or beer is stored in and make the spelling french
macdonalds fry their FF's in peanut oil....does that help tsm?
Why doesn't "owie" work??? That's a word.
LOL Cath! Why shouldn't we have the best!
Torgone!!!!!!!!! Haven't seen you for ages - you OK?
torg!!!!!
Hi TSM!! Hi Torgone!!
hi torgone how are you
kegfry...

I know that word! wasn't even looking at that one double letter tile I needed! Thanks alot!
Hello you beautiful people!!! I'm fine. I just haven't been able to Babble at work for a looooooong time. I think I may have haXXor'd the firewall though . . . Shhhhh . . .
LOL BUUNY OK last thing I can think of. B***** separatists. A b****** is a piece of beautiful corsetry. the end of the word sounds like what you stand in to catch a bus. ( not poop)!
LOL torgone - you have been missed.
hello everyone
Beer always clues me in..
LOl bunny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi doxie -
Hi Doxy!!
hey doxy!!
Herlo Doxy!
sorry re the spelling doxy -how are kimmie and the little one?
thanks for the warm welcome. Everyone here is fine.
Goodnight everyone thanks for all the help and great chat - finally finished - must go and sort out the washing and head for bed. God Bless and sleep tight everyone
Night Norma, Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! & sweet dreams
nite norma
Chat again tomorrow
goodnight norma....will you sort mine too...its sitting in the basket along side me..took it out an hour ago..oops
Nite Norma, sleep well....
Me too then, my washer broke, so I went to the laundry mat with thirteen loads... piled it all on Stephen's side of the bed.
LOL bunny - I'd rather lose my cooker than my washing machine
I'm with you snowy. You can always order a pizza, but hate going to laudromat.
Someone came and fixed it two weeks ago, now it's leaking and the trans it out! They want almost $400 to fix it again. i ordered the part and am doing it myself for $55. Pooh on them! Until then, five kids and a husband who works outside produce alot of dirty clothes!
ok lets have an ironing party...1 bottle of wine for each load pressed...by the end we wont care what it looks like.
By the end, you'll be carrying me around on a stretcher! Wait, I don't iron..hehe...
Nightmare!!!! I do any washing that the littlies wear when they are here and I'd forgotten how dirty they get! Kira Jane can make one square of chocolate cover vast amounts of clothes & surfaces. She is without doubt the messiest child I ever saw!
snowy...John can beat her
LOL Snowy..
You should meet my twins. If they are watching TV, 80% of the food they aim at their mouth ends up in their lap.
Makes me happy mine is old enough to do her own laundry...one of the upsides to 14
I reckon I could spot where Kira had sat in a room of 100 children! She makes marks with water! Her handiwork is everywhere!
bunnyvicious - sound just like my husband...had to put an apron on him tonight -eating pasta)...you can guarantee that he will drop something on his shirt....
Have to relay that to the 29 year old husband.. I better get, going to start on the MOUND of clothing. Thanks for your help Snowy, you got me to the finish line!!
LOL CAThB, got me beat there!
Bye Bunny!!
It does make me laugh tho -my grandson who is 10 months youngr is the neatest eater I ever saw. he just doesn't drop anything at all!
yw bunny! See you soon!
nite bunny...
help with those blasted ca/7...s anyone
lol...he cant swallow either snowy his mouth is so full
what golfers use
if you have the 6 kiss ( golf club carrier) the 7s are the plural and the past tense
He'd win the 'get a whole banan in your mouth' contest!LOL
snowy can type faster than me!
it's cos i use all my fingers CATH!
ca 7/48 as well? is it a tense of what golfers use?
yes one is past tense and one is plural
ca7/48 uses the high scoring tile
no kiss that lot are all based around the 6 too tho. Think french type spelling of what you store wine in. Or beautiful French corsetry ( begins with b)
gracias snowy
ca/8 tense as well?
yw kiss
sorry kiss misread the post...must have put too much brandy in the coffee....(or not enough)
Thanks Snowy, that was my last word!!!!
no kiss -thats the plural of a type of fly
i think not enuf
ca8 is the plural of ca6/27 (the second ca6/27)
yw schro!
well done Schroeder
have to go for now, babysitting and she doesn't think I should be paying attention to anything but her.
Well I think I'm going to make the drive home, lots of snow to deal with so I may not be back till Monday...Have a great weekend all!!!

Bye those leaving -- sweet dreams. Hi torgone! Hi all!
Heya mab!! See ya later, after I get home ..
Drive carefully.
back in for a bit - feel better now, all bathed and fresh.
hey alef!
Hi evanout, you look refreshed.
good for you nutty buddy!!!!
tx mab, tosses wet hair
what kind of shampoo is that nut?
meant to ask ren, what's with the icon
Writing is my favorite invention.
today is inventions - so i picked the bc patch....it was there...
ah, patch is bad now you know
get fuzzy is my favorite invention.
oh no!!! everything is bad...bad candy, bad patch.....
what is get fuzzy?
I think the patch is okay if you just use it on bicycle tires and so on.
yeah, i'm bad too }:-{)
whats wrong with the patch?
LOL mab!!!! then the bike and the asphalt are safe!!!
mab - i stand corrected rennie - best cartoon ever about a neurotic cat and rather unintelligent dog
What is wrong, evanout? Nice choice, slinky, evanadine.
i'll need to find it and read it.
EvaN - supposed to deliver higher hormone than advertised and i guess that causes more health problems than claimed.
thanky :)
Did I read something about a Pizza, Booze & Babble party tonite???????????????????????? ?????????????
just go to cartoons.com mab
criminey! i have a GYN appt in 2 months + i was gonna ask for the patch... :/
sorry, i mean ren mab - wrong?
i use the patch too, and heard about this - there's just a slightly higher risk of some things than with the pill - but i don't think it's a huge deal
the risks increase with age of course
i was on depo before, but i wanted to try something different to see if it had different side-effects
mama...torg's gonnan have a pizza, beer, and babble party!!!
EvaN - i had serious problems with the patch, not health related mind you, but making it stick. i'd get undressed at night and there it would be wrapped around my bra or stuck to my undies, and i swear i needed duct tape to make is stick in the humid summer times.
it can't be too much of a worry since my doctor didn't say anything like "you might want to consider going back to the pill" when i was in last month
ooh! i want in on that party!!
gentle paper tape works well....
i haven't had any trouble with it sticking and no side effects either
shower every day hursh? (wink wink)
too much humidity here and my skin type is an oil well
not always, actually :) but even when i do it sticks fine
how long does it take torg to get home???? party party party
ewe ren, perhaps we could enlist you to solve the energy crisis...
right nut...i think i could!!! and it keeps me young looking!!
well hursh - i wish i could have made it stick, it was better than taking these pills everyday, i wanted to try the ring, but i couldn't find out if it was made of latex.
well, depo works, but ive put on weight (also my own fault for not being active enough!), im tired a lot, and im moody... just wanted to try something new to see if it has different effects
couldn't you ask the doctor what the ring was made of?
i once took a higher hormone pill, it made me so i hated my self, i was an evil, vile, tempermental woman.
Hi E-Nut!!!! How's Hubby Nut doing????
i wonder how long i have to wait before i can do the permanent solution - husband vasectomy. the doctors may not be willing to do it yet since we have no kids and we're still quite young
evano: found this on the net: "In October 2001, the US Food and Drug Administration approved Nuva Ring, a vaginal contraceptive ring developed by Organon, Inc. Nuva Ring is a non-biodegradable, flexible, colorless ring made up of a polymer of ethylene vinyl acetate and magnesium stearate."
i wonder if it, like, moves during sex, or what?
I went through menopause in my 30s and couldn't get pregnant beore that anyway. When I think of the years I struggled with the diaphram (sp) - slippery disk flying across room as I ineptly tried to insert it. I never got the hang of it.
nut...the mental picture of a latex ring allergic reaction.... priceless.....ewewewewe
hurshy -- *supposedly* it stays put + you cant feel it. i think i wouldnt be able to get over *knowing* its there...heh
i dunno, it sounds kinda good the patch is ugly, it always accumulates discoloration around the edges
the ring you put in a new one once a month, right?
i think its one of those things that you just either love or hate...heh
yup, in for 3 weeks, out for 1
of course seasonale is also appealing but that's back to every day AND in a way i like having periods because then i KNOW i'm not pregnant.
see, part of why i loved depo so much is that i NEVER got a period... wear what i want, do what i want, never hafta worry...its lovely. ;)
it would be lovely... except for that lack of reassurance. (i REALLY don't like babies)
heh, me too... another part of the reason im looking to switch...
testing..testing... (Don't mind me, just seeing if this thing is on...)
this whole 99% effective thing freaks me out. i want 100%!!!
hurshy...i believe youre looking for "gettin none" then...hehe
hey vi - it's on :)
i should go make some dinner
thanks for the girl talk :)
Yup! :)
hey how about the ca 6/21??? please....
sorry, just got back - great news on the ring rennie - my learning experience came from condoms mama bear - better and better, just got back from a nice littel heart to heart with him.
ren -- spanish for "little house" make it plural for a 7
ca6/21 - little Spanish house
ola - mucho gracias
hi everyone - i see you're having a lively discussion on birth control, ok, gonna keep my 2cents to myself & work the grid
LIVELY?
we are lively!!!
i thought lovely...
*LiVeLy!!*
oh yes we are all lovely as well!!!!
HelenK - a wise choice! Babbleland is not for the squeamish tonight/today!
and with protection - love/ly
no love and lie allowed
lol vic, yep, you guys might want to keep in mind that this site is used by impressionable 14 year olds too - there's nothing like the voice of experience
nor love and lye
just saying - try & not scare them off birth control completely, lol
better from us mature and decent people than those you find in "other" places
as always nut...you are the best!!!!
true enough evan
* takes a bow *
(Yeah, although with any luck we might scare them off the need for birth control altogether, if you know what I mean...)
dunno, at 14 i could have used birth control.
okay, that "looked" bad.
nut!!!!!!!
LOL vic
no no no no no no no, what i "meant" was that i could have used some of those side effects. missing school once a month was strongly frowned upon by those teachers.
ok....8) hey how about that co 5 - which direct does it go?
it's not like i was heading out to a bunch of or 6/24's or anything.
LOL nut!
i could have been saint nut back then
co5 is the Queen's favorite dog breed, I believe.
thanks vi - those are kool puppsters!
vicous little beasts
brb - gotta check the lab
lab? - as in dog?
ren - are you a mad scientist or a dog breeder?
oooh, i hope mad scientist
neither vi - i'm ambulance chasing bean counting terminator rolled into one
bummer ren, i was hoping for mad scientist about to crack the cure for skin cancer - are you S U R E?
sorry to disappoint you nut....i am mad though.....
Whoa...
i'm sure...my brother is the mad scientist!!!!
so ren = mad and I = nut no wonder we get on so well.
LOL nut!!!!!
* considers a career on stage *
Hmm... I'm afraid I'm merely eccentric.
eccentric, such a lovely word
that works for me vi - no problem w/ eccentrics! i like the word....
Okay, time to tuck the darling children into bed. At last!Goodnight!
no darling children here to tuck in - that sucks
nite vi!!!
i am having a greater than ususal problem with lag here tonight & have refreshed about a kajillion times, any suggestions?
helen - stand up, spin your chair as fast as it will go, jump on the middle and hang on. once you manage that, it won't seem so slow.
k, so that explains the 'nut' part of your name, lol
aw, and i was being serious
bbl - gotta p/u supper
hey, not to resort to the old subject or anything, just opening last weeks mail you know, and turns out my gyne is retiring. well, okay, but the name of the guy she has replacing her is....Bill Murray. i don't think i can do that!
good luck with that one evan
i mean, i could never have an appointment of feb. 2nd...ever
he'd probably come in and say goood morning, i hope you have your booties on cause its cooooold out there, iiiits ground hog day
or even worse, he'd come in with venkman, and they'd go on about not crossing the beams as they looked down at me in my stirrups.
he could even come in an present himself as the man that knew too little, how reassuring that would be
ah well, good night to you
good night evan
thanks for the amusement nut!
A quick good evening to all you nutty people. P's using computer for another site, but he's gone off to make cheese and crackers at the mo. Hiya Ren!:-)
It's on . . .
imalmost embarrased to ask for ta 4?4 typed so many diffrent combinations and cant come up with nothing
yvo, it's a weird one, ta + vowel + plural letter
i always think of a southwestern city when I use that t4
Leslie how weird is it still havent got it,or this computer just wont accept it
ta + hoop + plural? did you try all the vowels?
I think the Ta4 is in N. Mexico..lol..
ok got it i swear i put that sucker in many times
you probably did, the computer is probably taunting you. have you done anything mean to it lately?
thanks muchly how i can spend an half an hour on four letters is beyond me , thats what an addiction does to you
clue for ca 6/30?
ca 6/30 is an old word for helmet. there used to be a bar in boston called the ca**** and flaggon
c6/30 = "A helmet, especially an ornate visorless headpiece of the 16th century"
that ca uses the q
i've never been to boston!
ahh don't know what your missin'
aha, knowing the q was in it helped immensely! thanks.
you're missing horrible traffic for one thing - lol
yes, apparently i am missing some old helmets.
since they dug the big dig, things have improved greatly
sorry, couldn't resist that, spent alot of time stuck in traffic there, many years ago, still remember it vividly
ok, ga 6/33 and i will be done...
so aknit, you're telling me that it's safe to go back?
yup was there wednesday, zipped right through!
LeslieAnn- plural of the ga5/18 Hi Everyone!!!
that is the 6/30 i think? i was looking for 6/33
take the ga 4 (an exclamation) double the last letter and add 3rd vowel and a squiggle
oh i got it! done! anyone want a clue?
Yeah! ga6/33!
the 6/33 is ga + double consonant + past tense ending
Aha! Gracias!
help with ca7/44 and ca8/55 pleae
I meant *please*
ca 7/44 is the past tense of the golf helper
found the ca7/44 !!
already have the ca8/55 , I am tired from another day from hell at work.
ca 8/55 is the plural of the ca 6/27, do you have that?
well, i tried peri!! :)
thanks LeslieAnn, I know I don't have the ca7/48.
evening! Jumped on a few minutes ago and just finished the grid!!
ro 4/5 anyone
found it, never mind. seems as though i do that a lot, ask for help and then find it!!!
i was missing that too, peri. builds off a ca 6 that uses the "qu" tile.
congrats pbr!
that ca 6 is ca + squiggle + "what" in spanish
Yay pbr!!
Thanks LeslieAnn. I had been finishing about 5 grids each week, but this week, I've had to do other things.
there were some nasty ones this week, maybe you were better off!
well hello everyone!
Nonetheless, I am beginning to find it relaxing. Tomorrow my grandbaby is coming over, so I may not make it to the grid at all. He's 18months!
Hi, TempleOwl!!!
Hey Temple
Heya Temp!
oh pbr, they are sooo cute at that age, but no time like the present to create a future babbler

Let's see.... Pizza? Check Booze? Check Babble? Check Party time!
good good mama I was sick wed.
I haven't started the grid.... do I skip it and just go for the pizza/beer/party part?
are you feeling better now, shorty?
I've got 95 with very little effort ..
yeah TY and you feeling better I take it
really? well, hmmmm....... maybe I shall rethink this no babble tonite decision.....
I've got deep dish cheese; and pepperoni, bacon, mushroom, onion ..

Toodles TO ..
I don't have a clue.... what was today? Painful toilet seats?
LOL MAMA it is inventions
LOL! there were a lot of toilets today... mine is LIGHTED...a true patented invention
The new addition to Friends of Babble - Angelsong's Resources - has a link to Babbler's profile, for up-to-the-minute theme info. Now Playing - Beethoven's 9th Symphony
How about Beethoven's 5th.... you know, to go with the pizza!!!!!
screw it! i like my flamingos and i'm sticking with them
Torgone's 5th is rapidly disappearing ..
Tomorrow is Tools...... could be dangerous.
Erm, I said hello a while ago.
Hi Jac!!!! I didn't see you come in, I'm sorry... how are you doing?
hi jacs!
The theme was 'new inventions'.
OK. I checked back, you came on before I did, Jac, so I really didn't miss your entrance!!!! I so hate when I do that.....
Over 105 posts ago Jac - We have short attention spans ... Hi Jac!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not my fault if I'm sharing my computer tonight. LOL.
Torgone, did you put something in my drink? I feel dizzy all of a sudden.....
I'm just wondering who is going to claim 'the chopper' for tomorrow's 'Tools' theme. LOL.
ok give up a clue please for ca 6/27 - 2nd one
Erm.. just wondering if that term translates from UK to US? An 'axe' in UK terms can be what you chop wood down with, i.e. a chopper, and can also refer to an electric guitar. A 'chopper' can be an axe (not a guitar), a type of bicycle, a helicopter, and a name for 'male tackle'.
ca6/27 - a golfer's attendant. (The one who drags the golf clubs around.)
We just took delivery of a giant laser cutting machine, and all I could think of was Sean Connery strapped to the table saying "You expect me to talk, Goldfinger?" and Goldfinger saying "No Mr. Bond. I expect you to DIE!"
Ta, Jacula, the other ca 6/27 please
LOL, Torgone.
The other ca6/27 - A coarse woolen fabric, yarn, or ribbon binding. Also the name of a fly.
Good Evening to all!! And how are things tonight?
thats too hard - give me the golfer one again
Evening Grey Woulf
Look up Trichoptera. for the fly. HIYA WOLFIE!(((((((((HUG)))))))))))
kidding, jacula, thanks
((**Jac**))
That's a sweet sleepy wolf in your icon, Wolfie.
Things seem very good tonight !
jeffer: almost all of the c's are derivations of the golfer's helper Hi woulf!
Jac - There's a humour magazine & website called "Axes & Alleys". You've confirmed what I was thinking about the name ..
actually, I think it is a lab, Jac --- but I have been using this pic for a while now -- it best reflects how I have been playing -- with Seb sleeping on my chest :)
HI Temple -- hows things?
Heya GW! How's that baby doing?
things are good, woulf....how's seb?
He's doing great, torgone -- especially when I don't overfeed him :) I did so earlier and ended up witnessing a formula eruption that landed all over me! :D
tanks temple owl, i have all of those
Just sneaking in to say hello to all you night owls - don't usually have a chance to babble in the evenings!
Wolfie, you cannot complain aboutt Seb simply reminding you to look for the most common Babble word - Etna. LOL.
Hey Lupe!! (*Hug*) - I don't get to see you much anymore :( BTW -- Kristianna loves the CD at least as much as I do ;)
Torgone.... you didn't answer me..... what did you put in my drink, hon?
hey lupe! guys - i really must go now - see you tomorrow! *blows kisses to all* happy babbling!
So the latest news for me on the job front is that they have reassigned me -- I am now in the front office as a service dispatcher
Hey Grey! Rumor was that you were part of the babble night crew! The baby must be getting big!!!
nite Temple (de ja vu!) Hi GW! Hi Lupe!
Hi - Bye Temple - enjoy your weekend!
Bye Temple -- Sleep well -- I'll see you on Sun -- got company over so won't be here tomorrow
Ha! Been there a few times. They will definitely overflow the tank if you let them!
Hey Mama!! Geez - haven't "seen" you in a while either!
(((***Mama***)))
Hi and bye to all those coming and going.
Hi Jacula!
good to see you too, Lupe!!! working too many hours.... and no time at work to "sneak babble" either.... harumph!!!!
Lupe -- the truth is that sometimes the only way to get him to calm down at night is to sit at the computer with him on my chest -- I think the hum of the fan plus the beating of my heart soothes him :) -- so what better way to spend the time at the screen than here?! ;D
I've been pretty busy as well. Been mostly lurking - sticking in my two cents when the topic's good.
He's a Babble Baby!
Once I've finished my *shock horror* CIGARETTE (at least I didn't say fag and confuse you lot in US, LOL) I'm off to bed to cuddle up to my man.
Oh my God Grey that is so beautiful. Whatever it takes to soothe them right???
LOL Jacula
Btw, the best part of my new position is that I may be able to Babble during my lunch breaks!
there, done, i liked this one much better than the last two - does anyone need any help?
want to finish my last 90 words?
Exactly Lupe -- I used to drive for nearly two hours every day to get Kristianna to take naps her first year of life :)
Cool - maybe I'll see you during the day from time to time.
*~*~*~FIREWORKS FOR THE BLIND ONE, OOPS! MEANT HELEN KELLER*~*~*~*~
LOL lupe, uh, no, i don't think so, but good luck with that
I hope so, Lupe
LOL Lupe - I need 115!!!!
lol jacula, thanks!
Not much better than holding a baby in your arms ..
I was blessed Grey - my son slept from 9p to 6a - which was my schedule the whole time I was pregnant.
Hi Hell, knew you'd appreciate the greeting.x
Hey - I tried hellen...
Babble at lunch, GW??? COOL!!!! Maybe "nooners" are in the forecast!!! LOL
that's my philosophy too lupe: it never hurts to ask
one of these nights I promise I WILL get a pic of him sleeping to share with everyone :)
Well, there is holding a consenting adult of the opposite sex in your arms . . .
Very true torgone
. .If I remember correctly .. . .
I see the "5th" is starting to take effect, Torg!!!!
Well - I'm off. Have a great weekend. I hope to "see" you all next week. Big hugs and smooches to the kids Grey. Mama, enjoy this weather - it won't last. Helen - are you sure about that last 90? Goodnight all.
good nite Lupe!!!!!!
good night lupe, nope, i'm sure, lol
(*Lupe*) -- G'nite and have a great weekend as well!
What's this about consenting adults? Have I missed something? I think me and my other half were very consenting earlier, but, with teenaged kids in the house who knows who is going to burst into what room? And, at 3.14 am my beloved has just gone off to the Land of Nod after consuming much red vino. I'm fine, but I doubt he's 'up' to it. LOL.
ok, last call for clues, otherwise i'll see you all later, have a great evening/day, whatever applies!
Helen - I finished the grid UK lunchtime. Just here to chat now. Sleep in peace.x
LOL Jac.... you'll have to catch him on the "flip side"!!!!
jacula that fly clue won't, for me (no looking it up) can you add another angle?
Mama -- I am not going to touch that straight line -- you make it too easy for me -- besides as a gentleman I must refrain from comment ;)
jacula, i understand that, this is a nice place to chat with interesting, well-versed folks
helen -- have a great night and wekend -- and to think only a short time ago you expressed concern over finishing a grid *sniff* How quickly they grow up... ;D
Wolfie - LOL on both counts.
se 8 anyone?
awww grey, you remember, i'm touched
LOL, GW!!!! That's why I'm glad I'm not a gentleman, I can say what I want!!!!! LOL
se + talking horse + 'basket****'
helen -- spend enough time with me and you find that I tend to remember too much at times -- it has disconcerted more than one ex girlfriend :D
Jeffer - if you have the first 6/27 then knock off the last letter and add a curly consonant in place of it. Will that do you? *Jeeze! This bloody purists!* ROFLOL.
thanks helen!!!! glad I didn't waste too many brain cells on that one....
now i feel like i've been useful (i hope)
Mama - When you used to roll joints, and separate out the bits that didn't get you high, but you saved those bits in a container, in case you wanted to plant them at some later time - the name of that container.
Why, Torgone..... I neva!!!!!!!
Torg - WARNING!!!!! TOO MUCH INFO! You never know who's watching.
lol grey, good thing someone excels at remembering, they say memory goes with age & i am tending to agree more & more
Well, that's what I've heard . . .
tor, i think i heard that too, of course i am older now & have some memory issues, hmmmmmmm . . . . . .
And by "rolling joints" I of course meant "Bending your ankle the wrong way" . . .(How's that?)
Let's ask GW.... I'm sure he REMEMBERS!!!!!
LOL, tor
well, of course we knew that tor, in fact that explains why i just had a hip replacement, yeah, that's the ticket!
huh.....remembers what? ;D
I've never been a pothead. I knew, eve back in 60s/70s that it messed your brain cells up.
lol grey
However, I believe it gives good, if unlawful, relief for rheumatism etc. You can take it in cakes, so eat it rather than smoke it. Pensioners' Pot Cake. LOL.
jacula, may i ask, when exactly did we start talking about anything illegal? now that, for sure, i do not recall
Jacula - thank you kindly. it was for my last two words, but i really was looking for something between the "trichoptera" and the "curly consonant" way, i promise.
With Torgone 9.25pm - 'And by "rolling joints" I of course meant "Bending your ankle the wrong way" . . .(How's that?)'
Let's get back to babies, and/or consenting adults of the opposite sex . ..(sorry, my bad)
lol jac, nice recovery
Not really a recovery, Helen, since, like I said, I have never 'done' drugs.
di6/21?
Anyway, let's take up Torg's suggestion of getting back to babies or consenting adult.... or maybe even Babble clues, if anyone still needs any...
di + es4/4
ty
yw
i guess it's time for the 'stinking patches' to appear again!!! hi ya'll!!!!
good idea!!! neva did the "other", but did the baby thing 3 times....
ok, good nite jacula, greywoulf, torgone, mamabear and everyone else
rennie!!! I see you arrived "safely"!!!!!! LOL
nite helen!!!!!
yes mama...'safe' and sound.... i think nite helen
di6/21 - a plural word for a character used in printing to indicate a cross reference or footnote. Sounds very Shakespearian or battlefield since it's a 'double dagger'.
AND well protected, Rennie!!!!
Failing that, just sling an 'es' on the end of your expires di4/5!
Hiya Ren. SIGN IN!
this poor little patch has been through it today..it's kinda like the little energizer bunny....wait....let me re-think that statement....
Heya ren!
had to feed the cats --- Good night again, helen
hey torg - how's the pizza party?
first 3 ga's anyone? I am being really lazy here......
((**Ren**))
Lotsa pizza and breadsticks left. Luther Allison on the jukebox.. Party's kind of dampened by the rain though . . .
wolfie!!!!!
LOL, Torgone!!! *still recovering from whatever you slipped in my drink*
then torg...put another log on the fire!!!!
I'm a victim of circumstance!!
Mama -- do you have the ca6/27 -- change the 1st letter for the 2nd ga6
I'll forgive you if you help me with the 3 ga's
no can do, GW.... working wordsback.... no c's yet

Well, I have ga6/33 about in my past . . . .
same 1st 4 letters made into past tense
wolf - if you have ca 7/40 - drop the e
Danke!
ren -- I have them -- Mama is the ga hunter right now

Congrants Sheryl! The se6 clue lost me if you want to return the favor :)
Never would have got those without your help kris, never thought to put those letters together
se to grab a hold of something but not the tradtional spelling of it, imagine that , non traditional spelling in babble land
No worries, I lucked out by looking at the point values--the only saving grace for those words
se 6 = se + not are but ** + past tense
ah-thank you!
hey mama
is mama still on
hi ace!
okay last call, for clues, lol, I remember the time when I would be hearing last call for alcohol age is a wonderful thing
its been a while since ive been on
yes..... quite a while, as I recall?
I am missing the second ca 6/27 and the 8/55 (which I assume is the past tense) I feel like I've tried everything but clearly...no
i heard mickey gilley use to sing ' the girls all get prettier at closing time..."
i was on last month and i didn't see u on
you were looking for me?
last ca 6/27 - dropp the e from the ca 7/40
ya i i havn't seen u in a while
starts out just like the first 27 get rid of the last 2 letters and use a vowel and make it plural
then for the ca 8 - make the last ca 6/27 plural
make the 8/55 a plural of that
but of course-thanks!
well hubby just came home from work so off I go, have a good night all, see you tomorrow
been working alot..... can't babble every day like I'd like to
good nite Sheryl!!!!!!!
