Morning dear gang :)
ive only got 101
good afternoon or morning sprite
Hi sandyloo :)
109/1468 its almost bedtime
I am at 102.
And I keep seeing 'organisms'.
111 and my eyes are closing
p 7/52
And the same with L. Not with S, though, and not with H. But starting i works. Strange thing, that babble dictionary.
O7/40 what would life be without them
sprite - I'll second that ! ! !
:) But 'shoarma' isn't valid. Nor the plural. Why not?
Sh8/70 and Ar8/45
ra8/65 compound word
Oh, and Eg7/40, won't lead to O7/40 for sure ;)
im7/40 li7/48
Ri7/52 and Ri7/48 alt. spelling of eachother. We're on a roll, mrP :)
yippee! Sprite!!
How's that for teamwork, lol!
Ma7/56 same as Ma7/48, except for the last-but-one letter.
Mi7/40 no oasis in this grid, but there are Mi7s.
grok is so totally a word
so is sharmin but it ain't here!
heh, ya I tried grok too. My first time playing this, pretty fun.
well, that's the s words put to bed... onward!!
hi mr p! hhi sprite! hi all!
((owl!))
Ha Temple Owl :) Welcome Chrisrbailey, enjoy the game :) And join the gang here, who never stops wondering about the insanity of the babble dictionary. MrP, I am down to 12 now. And nowhere to go, of course.
i'm enjoying looking at all of those looong words i have yet to find : D
i bow to the master...89 left for later on...
Owl, they are all nice today! No stupidhead words, to quote Griffs.
Thanks. It's 12:13am here, and now I find I'm addicted to this new game. Hmm, how late to stay up...
The biggies I mean. Some stupidhead words among the smaller ones, though.
sprite, what do you need sweetie! I can help I am sure!
hmmm ...where is griffs?
Lol chrisr... don't we know. Too addictive, this game.
Griffs can't play much, her body is still in too much pain. Hops by occasionally. mrP, thanks for the offer! I will struggle on a little bit, but I will yell for help before I go completely bananas. Of course I still need Ks. Did I ever mention I hate K-words?
well it if after 3am here...mr p, you will seehow grumpy i am at work shortly : D
what's up with griffs? i have one k word...
I may not be American, but even I know that "smore" is a word!?!
LOL Sprite - you have protested the K's from day dot!!
Griffs has been in an accident, caused by a stupid lady who raced through a red light and then declared Griffs was at fault, for hitting her car. The judge set the crazy lady right, but that doesn't mend Griffs injuries. Hope she will be better soon, really missing having her around.
how do I get the little flag by my name? Do I have to have a Pro account?
:D mr P. So I did, didn't I... must have blocked it from memory. Every time. ;)
if you do see her, please tell her i wish her well i think i'm going to bed now- happy babbling!
Sleep well, Owl! We will tell Griffs when she comes online again :)
yes chris! and worth it if you like to stay up until 5 in the morning and reduce yourself to a zombie, and orphan your children and widow your partner.... ;))
Chrisr: yes, the flag is part of the profile and can be obtained by becoming pro.
LOL mrP!!!! And so true...
Okay, I give up. I have Ki4/8 and 2 x Ko4/8. What am I missing please? My brain goes mushy as soon as there are K-words in sight.
i don't like i s much, either...
ke4/10
Vowel words are usually tougher as well, I agree. Still I wonder what makes those K-words so elusive.
Oh darn! Boysaway, thanks! *bows head in deep shame*
welcome to babble chris and you should stay up im in australia and i need company usually only have pres
I just hooked my wife on it too :)
Hiya all. Early here in UK, esp, when you've not slept! Elton John's 'Your Song' is playing on my jukebox right now - a song of teenaged and, well, thinking about it, any aged love. Enjpy as you do the grid.
And, don't forget, the song IS all about putting things down in words.
Chrisr, that is about the smartest thing you can do, lol. Both addicted... no nagging :)
Incidentally, Bernie Taupin waas responsible for the words Give a hand and some respect the the lyricist.
So true sprit! Hi Jac! Hi Sandy!
no nagging, but then again, no, uh, going to bed
wife says stop chatting, oops
Hiya. 200+ grid - a bit rough for A Wednesday!
Chrisr, there are some nice O7/40 to celebrating finishing the grid, though. :)
heh, ya, got that :)
*celebrate
Chris - take your wife's advice and snuggle up to her.
The grid will still be here when you get up again. :)
wow i just changed my icon to hicory dickory dock icon wonders will never cease it worked!!
Does it tell you if you actually get all the words? (I'm only at 56, so I know I'm not even close, but curious)
tomorrrow all will be revealed
chris, go to angelsongs page under the friends of babble list on the right side of this page... it has stats in the link
btw... 267 words today
There's no fanfare when you finish a grid. You only know you have all by looking at the total and comparing to the stats, either in the Pro stats panel or on one of the help pages (Angelsong's or Babblers Anonymous, see links). If you click "view yesterday's puzzle" tomorrow, you can see all the words listed with one of the people who finished.
chris if you are still here it is mandatory to stay up til 3am
Australian time!
Sprite, finishers do get *~*~*~FIREWORKS*~*~*~*~, best we can do if a certain group of Babble Pros are around.
Actually, you can babble any time at all and you will find always some other addicts hanging in there, fighting sleep or insomnia, ready to chat and share clues. It's a wonderful (though totally crazy) gang here.
er i dont think its australian time press just yankee doodle time!! lol
True, Jacula, the gang will give you fireworks, if they are there! :)
just watch out for exploding computors
267 words? I don't think so!
ExWren: I agree. There are 266, one R4 is just NOT there.
Ex-Wren - Stand up and be counted! If I can find 77 words in 10 mins after no sleep, then you can find 267 in 24 hours...
Soundtrack to the Babgrid is now Elton John's Goobye Yellow Brick Road. LOL.
jac we are not all as smart or beautiful as you!!
Sandy - in my eyes, I am neither smart nor beautiful. Now get on with the grid woman! I will give clues when askewd, provided I've found the words in question,
ExWren: correction, it is there too. 267, 3914 points. Better do some sudoku now, lol. Have fun guys, happy hunting. Any clues needed atm?
sprite gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
ra8 sprite?
Boys: as if it itches.
You are just showing off now, sprite. Not only finished a 267 grid already, but reckons you can do sudoku. (still not sure if I can spell it)
not seeing it : (
Lol ExWren. Actually, the sudoku is easier. Straightforward logic. I managed to get off the habit, but now that Dr_God introduced the iron sudoku site, I fear I am hooked again.
ExWreb - ditto what you just typed. Sprite - when I finally meet you I will buy you a drink and gve you a hug, but I may have to slap you for being no. 1 Babbler AND doi ng the soduko!
Got it!
Ra8 - compound. First part is skin addiction that itches. Second part is 'prefer'.
any clues for the sh8?
LOL! Let's have that drink and then play together, both babble and sudoku. Much nicer than slapping, especially since I would be on the receiving end of that.
Boys: it rhymes with the P7 and L7.
sprite, is lickety falling apart yet. He has started 3 times at sudoku now! How do they give clues in there?
Thanks sprite
Sprite - that sound good to me.xxxx
Lickety is okay, but we both are having a tough time with this one. Clues are hard to give. But it is possible to point people to the easier numbers, or a line of thinking and reasoning.
Sprite, he has never done one of those puzzles until a few days back, and now his head is completely filled with numbers!!
It is a beautiful and elegant game, that sudoku. He will be the better for another kind of mind training, lol. No way any of us will become senile before our time. Too much brain gymnastics.
i have to say since i began playing tangle a year ago i really feel that my brain is working better
pres have they started the opening ceremony yet?
My grandparents did all kinds of puzzles until very late in life and they were as bright as ever, even when they were in their 80s and 90s.
well that is a good enough reason for me to keep playing for ever
sandy, not yet, preliminary crap then it starts at 8.30 (6.30 for you)
Same goes for me :) Also, they were never into sports, but they walked. Every day, a stroll or a larger trip. That kept them healthy and rather fit for a very long time. They are my big examples in life :)
Having gone through my beloved Dad succumbing to Alzheimer's (senile dementia) - anything that helps us stop our brains mushing is fine by me!
He as the brightest, kindest and most intelligent man I evrer knew. It wasn't fair that he got zapped in his early 70s. But life isn't fair, never was.
Hears to that, Jac! I am off, happy hunting to you all and thanks for the company and help :)
Must have been a sad time, Jac. I am really sorry. (((Jac)))
Cheers Sprite.x
thats sad Jac....specially Dads they are always so strong and clever all our lives it's hard to see them otherwise.
How is 'mosh' not a word? Has the Enable dictionary never been to a rock concert?
and... why isn't 'romany' ?
I ask the same of ragers ... they are a type of party people
yes....tried that too MrP
Karyas - I think it must be one ogf the hardest things of all to witness. I wish I could get over seeing it. He'd want me to. I think he sent me Paul to help me, even before he'd gone in the bodily sense.
this is it Jac....you know what you should do...and it's easy for people to say so....but not quite so easy to do....but hang in there x
calling it a night at a measly 84 words, but hey, it's a start (for a first timer :), and of course I'll have to keep going in the morning.
I will do, Karys.xx Incidenally, just found 2 'sm' words re one of m 'vices'. Chimney words. LOL.
well done there chris.....best of luck with the rest !!
thanks for that Jac....hadn't got them...3 altogether
Well done, Chris, I'm 'an old Pro' and I've only got 90 so far.
got to go now x
sheehs, I truly am addicted, I thought I was going to bed, but had to find a few more :)
'Bye Karys. Chris - LOL. It happens to the best of us.;-)
Finished!! a bunch of those words are not for real!!
This opening ceremony is stupid! over the top australiana themes are making it a circus act!
*#*#*#*#FIREWORKS FOR MRP*~*~*~*~&
Thanks Jac!
But... the Aboriginal theme is wonderful... it looks great!
Is it the commonwealth games you're talking about, MrP?
yep, and here come England!!
I didn't know that Cyprus was a country of the commonwealth!
Since 1961 after achieving independence, apparently.
It sounds like the piece in the Olympics about Canada...
Greek and Turkish Cypriots share many customs but maintain distinct identities based on religion, language, and close ties with their respective motherlands. Greek is predominantly spoken in the south, Turkish in the north. English is widely used. Cyprus has a well-developed system of primary and secondary education. The majority of Cypriots earn their higher education at Greek, Turkish, British, or American universities. Private colleges and state-supported universities have been developed by both the Turkish and Greek communities.
Jac you are a wealth of knowledge....
Cypriot culture is among the oldest in the Mediterranean. By 3700 BC, the island was well-inhabited, a crossroads between East and West. The island fell successively under Assyrian, Egyptian, Persian, Greek, and Roman domination. For 800 years, beginning in AD 364, Cyprus was ruled by Byzantium. After brief possession by Richard the Lion-Hearted during the Crusades, the island came under Frankish control in the late 12th century. It was ceded to the Venetian Republic in 1489 and conquered by the Ottoman Turks in 1571.
The Ottomans applied the millet system to Cyprus, which allowed religious authorities to govern their own non-Muslim minorities. This system reinforced the position of the Orthodox Church and the cohesion of the ethnic Greek population. Most of the Turks who settled on the island during the 3 centuries of Ottoman rule remained when control of Cyprus--although not sovereignty--was ceded to Great Britain in 1878. Many, however, left for Turkey during the 1920s. The island was annexed formally by the U.K. in 1914 at the outbreak of World War I and became a crown colony in 1925. Cyprus gained its independence from the U.K. in 1960, after an anti-British campaign by the Greek Cypriot EOKA (National Organization of Cypriot Fighters), a guerrilla group which desired political union with Greece, or enosis. Archbishop Makarios, a charismatic religious and political leader, was elected president.
History lesson over. LOL.
Jacula- any knowledge I have of Cyprus was gained from O-level study of Lawrence Durrell's 'Bitter Lemons'. I re-read it recently and was amused by all my earnest note-taking.
Haz - But at least you know something about the place.
You mean that you didn't have all the information below stored in your head?
Speaking of Greek islands, I'm off to Crete in July.:-)
It'll be HOT!
desperately need help wiyh ai7/32?
Haz - I know! I didn't choose the time. P's Dad did.
letters you send overseas by plane
Air-conditioning just might save your life!
ai7 - Clue - I stuck a little blue sticker 'par avion' on the top l/h side of the birthday card envelope to my friend in New York last week.
thanks all
Why do I keep seeing Hare Krishna in the grid??
Good morning everyone : )
Good morning lola.
Good morning, Lola.
jacs, at least you are seeing words in the grid, even if they are not possible. I think the sudoku grid has messed with my head : /
It's not as nice a grid as yesterday, that's for sure! I'm taking a break with 114 words found and far more waiting to be discovered.
Lo - I can't even do the quick soduko in The d/Mail! No even going to try the 'iron' version,
And it is spelled s-o-d --?? Sodit. LOL.
Jacula - I am no suduko expert by any means and yet yesterday I managed to do the 'expert' puzzle in Iron Suduko. Either the classifications are wrong, or I just happened to hit the right buttons.
see you later haz : ) jacs, I was like that too, but Dr G's version has me well and truely hooked! There was a paul playing yesterday or the day before...was it your paul?
missing one last a , the second as5?
jacs, lol! That's what Anj calls it...sod!oku : )
back to babble! finished sodoku :)
ishult, it ends with a type of carp
hey ata and boys : )
not enough spare hours in the day to do both babble & sodoku. I choose Babble.
Hi Lola, nice icon - what's the theme today?
boys, nursery rhymes. I chose roald dahl's revolting rhymes : )
thanks boys. still need 106 words, gonna take a break!!
Oh my God!! they are singing happy birthday to the queen!! (vomit)!!
New icon chosen then
I'm off now, folks. BBL. x
Bye Jacula
'bye jacs : ) nice boys : )
ma6/39 and ma7/56 - what dumbass words!
LOL- Boysaway - so hows about a clue then... Hi everyone:)
ma + sk4 then plural
faerie - mothers barrel(s)
((fairie))
Mr P - never mind I'm not even close to the "s" words yet - still working the "a" words lol I just sat down less than 5 mins. ago.
MrP - so what time is where you are. It is 6:42 am here in the states or at least in the state that I'm in.
well, it is 10.45pm here and all finished up a while ago! I am doing that sudoku now, and it is EVIL!
found the ma 7/56 lol thanks Boysaway :)
Hi faerie : )
It must be close to your bed time then. I don't play the suduko game. Way to frustrating for me.
((((Lola)))) Hi :)
I got all the a's - yeah for me.
Good morning faeriekae - you're up early again! I'm allowing myself another few minutes babble, then I really have to walk the dog and get other things done. And you're starting to sound like Unowho!
Morning, everyone......
Hello Movieman...
hey movieman : )
Good Morning Haz and Movieman :) this grid sucks to say the least.
I'm going to change my icon. It doesn't look like Mary, Mary, it looks like someone with a huge nose...
Movieman - puss and boats ? I'm I correct?
haz, MM, Lola, hi all! Ready to go to sleepy byes now! Any clues before I pass out??
haz, lol! Now all I can see is one of those plastic children's disguises! : D
I'm all set Mr P - you get a good nights rest...
faerie - the cat and the fiddle, actually......
Hi MrP : ) Er...need far to many still, but thanks anyway : )
She is right Lola - LOL - really hard to see Little Bo Peep in there lol
Just checking - Your right LOL
Hey diddle, diddle the cat and the fiddle
Okay, let's see if Little Miss Muffet looks any better. I have fond memories of my eldest daughter reciting this, putting huge emphasis on the 'there came a big SPIDER...... and frightened Miss Muffet AWAYYYYYYY.'
That's much better, Haz.......
the fork ran away with the spoon : )
Ohhhhh Little Miss Muffet ... thats really sweet Haz.
and the cow jumped over the moon.
very nice haz : )
the little dog laughed, to see such a....?? That's all I remember! : /
I like my owl & the pussy cat, they went out to dinner and there was a fiddle and spoon involved!!
the ci 7/48 anyone? please and thank you.
hello every one again faerie im still trying to get the a's
The first icon had been in honour of my younger daughter, aged about 2, who confused me one day by saying 'Sing quite and tewwy.' I didn't know what she meant, but she kept insisting, ever more loudly 'Sing quite and tewwy!' Finally her sister said 'She wants us to sing, Mary, Mary, quite contrary.'
lola i love your icon lol mine is hickory dickory
faerie, add your ph5/18
Hi Sandloo - which ones are you missing?
lola - "The little dog laughed, to see such fun", "And the dish ran away with the spoon"....
Boysaway - I started with the a's and I'm making my way through the list so I have no ph words....
too many to ask thanks faerie
Movieman-the dish and the spoon had a thing going on.
faerie, do you know The Catcher in the Rye? Holden Caulfield found most people to be this
morning everyone!
brb - coffee
faerie - I tend to think they were eloping......LOL
Morning, Angel........
movieman, thank you! Of course it was the dish! What spoon wants to run away with a fork?? : D
I'm back (((Angel))) good morning :)
Hi angel : )
The catcher in the rye? no but will google it. brb thanks.
angel i read your page well done!!! the last para was a bit high brow for me tho the rest was great!
hi, faerie, movieman, mrp...others!
Hi angel... got your page! Thank you very much!!
MrP, how goes it with your new Babble page?
well press what did u think of the opening
I had to move the index1 page over into images folder to see the images, otherwise, it is wonderful...! It is now a link to Babble for me!
Bye the way - I'm getting all sorts of email of people saying they are or are not wanting to have a babble convention...What is up with that....I had at least 5 yesterday.
Something about meeting in fairfax or someplace like that.....I don't have a clue.
or you could have simply moved the images in the images folder into the folde4r with the index page..I just put the images into a folder for convenience, so I would be able to ensure I had them all.
Sandy, it was crap, I hated the beginning... overrated circus act with stupid koalas rowing on a thong? Come on!! The ballerinas with the motorbikes?? What the...?? The best part was the indigenous theme! That was impressive. Delta Goodrem, well, that was a given! She was very good though. The singing to the queen! Give me a break! That woman has a 'birthday' everyday around the world in some country or another! That was stupid in my opinion. Otherwise, the athletes looked great!
Angel, it was lovely! Thank you so much! Alot of lovely work went into that page and it will be well used and cherished!! Thanks again!
faerie, there was talk of the UK babblers getting together this summer (see babs anon), and it got some of the US players interested in having one too. Don't know why you are getting emails though : /
I even did it in purple, MrP :) I'm happy you enjoy it.
fairie, did you become a member of babbler 4 dummies?
It is strange Lola - they are coming from people I've never heard of....Its the Babblers for Dummies thing. I may have to put a block in my mail.
MrP - Yes - stupid mistake I supose.
I love it Angel! It is very well done. Lickety and I are avid admirers for life!!
pres i agree and i liked the indigenous section i always think that it is all a bit of a bore i loved seeing the athletes and i cried all the way through our national anthem as usual
faerie, there is a way to fix it. Go to the group, check your mail preferences and reset them to only read msgs on the group board/site.
faerie babbler4dummies-unsubscrib e@yahoogroups.com
Hi all Faerie, you can change your profile/setting on the yahoo group so that you don't receve any/emails (if memory serves me right).
Thanks Mr P.
MrP, do you share your computer with him, or does he have his own?
FMitch _ snap!!!
Hi FMitch! : )
we have a heap of them networked. He shares with me
because if he wants his own, I can do one for him, MrP.
Hi lola :)
We are the owl & the pussycat club!!
LOL we are MrP!!!
Mrp - I agree.......
Mr P. - keeps coming up saying it can not find that page so I'll just keep trying. Thanks.
(((Fmitch))) Hi :)
Morning farie!!!!!!
fmitch. if you have copy/pasted, take out the spacing otherwise, go to the link in fiends of babble and try there
you KNOW I meant to type 'friends' ... don't you??
can anyone help with the ra6/27 please
{{{faerie}}} You just need to adjust your setting of how you want to receive group information... you can set it to read board only & you won't get any e-mails...
sandy, someone who collects rubbish from you
Jera!! Snap your owl & pussycat!!
((((Jera)))) Hi Hon... Thanks.
morning all
Hi jera! : )
thankyou thankyou boys ive got it
Hi Capone :)
Capone! Nice to see you!
Greetings all... I can change it for you faerie, since I'm moderator & know everyones business... ;>
hello capone how is the birthday going
A big thank you to all who joined B4D... the concept is to help newbies but it will be so much better with experienced members contributing... I started a crazy little words topic, feel free to add your own...
don't know, didn't see TSM this morning.
tyvm, mrp... I love that poem, memorized it as a child... that poster is on my son's wall!
B4D???
Babbler 4 Dummies, my new Yahoo group...
Jera - please change it for me - I've been over there trying and having no luck ((((x))))
whats the addy?
Jera - I love the page - it is excellent - but I just don't want all the mail.
Done faerie!
There's a link under Friends of Babble, capone...
kk
Jera - I owe you big....((((jera)))) *~*~*~* ~faerie dust for Jera*~*~*~*~*
Thanks, faerie... I have 100 words left & it looks like I'm gonna have sick kids home today...
morning, all! Am in for my hour, hour and a half..thats all I can spend on the puzzle. too much to do! HEY, sandy..old tangle buddy (((((((((hug)))))))))))))))
awwwwww - flue - or what Jera ?
Hi Kate :) you little bitch. tee hee*
Gwyd is coughing... if his meds work I might run him in... Sprite is complaining of sore throat, headache & "feeling yucky" I told her to get dressed & have breakfast, then let me know how she feels...
oh, faerie..I love when you beep me..i get all squishy..LMAO
hey liana great to see you how are the legs?
Ohhhh-How old are they?
The Sprite will be 10 in 21 days... Gwyd is 4 1/2...
Kate-It is just too much fun. We are what we are. I love being a bitch. Anyone here experience menopause yet?
Sandy...some days better than others..now I know why they call it intermittant claudication...I need more excercise ..spending less and less time on puter,..trying to get some walk time in.
I find it amusing that certain valid Babble words get beeped...
I remember you saying that Gwyd was 4 1/2 yesterday but not Sprite. Fun ages.
hate to admit it but yes but no problems at all except not sleeping well
Almost the same as musicmom's 2... ITA, fun ages...
This drastic weather shift + horrible wind is gonna slay us all, I fear...
Jera - going back to our conversation yesterday, how is your son getting on?
faerie..i am old enough to have experienced it TWICE..lol. No more viable eggs..which is okay by me~
I had complete Hysteroctomy when I was 29 so that has been alooooong time ago. It does turn you into a bitch. I also found out that the hot flashes never go away. I don't take meds for it due to family history of breast cancer though. 3 of my sisters have had breast cancer.
He's about to do some more testing, physical/psych/edu & we'll go from there with a personal IEP... hopefully that will help make his preschool education more productive...
Jera - I have my fingers crossed for him, I know first hand how bad a childhood with autism can be.....
He has a new thing... clapping & repeating the pattern... sometimes he starts, even, which is great... evidently they are doing that at school I'm thinking he would enjoy a kindermusik program, he likes music, patterns, dancing...
just looked that up liana sounds like its hard to deal with but i guess that exercise is better that the computor (hmm) i have been trying more exercise lately -swiming and walking but i feel quite lethargic i hate that
It's no fun when you know something is wrong... but can't figure out what... so very little chance of solving the problem if you can't define it...
Sandy..could you be depressed?..have diabetes maybe?..both of those cause a lot of lethargy if not dealt with..I lost 8 los recently..I tried to do without my anti depressants..didnt work..could hardly function!
Morning all! faerie I had a histerectamy when I was 33 due to external bleeding from my last child
hey shorty, how ya feeling today?
(((((Shorty))))) really - wow - It sucks doesn't it?
liana i dont have diabetes i tested my sugar lately and its really good depression...hmmm never have had it before ... and I would say i dont have it now but you never know these things creep up on you they say but i dont think so im generally happy and have a good life but do have a lot to do
but then dont we all!!
I'm feeling much better ty Capone. Actually faer I take meds so it doesn;t bother me
Jera..are you the one that was talking about testing for autism?..my next door neighbor girl has a son born without the 18th gene. He seems autistic to me..He is five. Just started walking last year..and goes to a special school..He doesnt speak , but signs like mad~ they even had him on a J tube..now he eats etc...making remarkable strides..(and he is a beautiful child!~)
maybe im not fit enough fitness can improve your energy levels
Snady, you are not depressed! body changes make for decreased levels in energy. Just means you have to do more and eat less.... sad, sad situation! I know! LOL
Shorty-Meds are good for most people. I took them for about 8 years then when my Sis Sylvia got cancer that was when my Dr said no more. But it hasn't been bad. the first few years were terrible though...
yeah it scares me but my dr said I shouldn't quit taking them
i think thats it press im forcing myself to do something every two days and when it gets cooler ill start riding the very fat horse on our "farm"
I know if I go a week without taking them phew its horrible
"farm" LOL!! you crack me up!!
No Shorty you shouldn't stop taking them. I'm just saying that it wasn't a good thing for me with so much breast cancer in my family. Most of my freinds are taking some sort of drug for hormones...
woot, found the naughty word of the day!
capone don't forget to pl it in yr excitement LOL
its such a cute "farm" i love it so near the city and yet totally rural so its the best of both worlds we have two murray greys, two chocolate sheep , two horses and two dogs
well of course you did Capone...lol
take your 1 million acres and your fat horse and meet me in the middle!!
yeah I understand, did your sister survive it?

LOL, everyone's cooking with gas today I see : ) Sandyloo, it's a sort of cross between Baa Baa [insert colour of choice] sheep, and the classic: "Mary had a little lamb, the Midwife had a blue fit..."
bye faerie

ROFLMAO! Ah, penchant for safety pins then : D
I have a cleaning question... any clothes cleaning experts here?
peanut butter works well for chewing gum on clothing!!
ROFL :)
yea, shes likes being pinned.
and that is the extent of my expertise!! ;D
mornin babblers!!

Eva, greetings...!!!!!!!
..oo-err : ) *pounes on Evanadine for Wednesday Whammy* morning ; )
What's the laundry question?
*shakes off the pouncing* heh, morning anj
They are making me wear a button that is about the size of a larger cookie that says "It's my birthday and I'm an incredibly smart, exciting, good-looking person!" ROFL!
How do you remove patch adhesive? There was an iron patch that was removed & left white stuff... very neat strips, if that makes a difference...
Not like the original stuff on the patch, like the stuff you cut out to make a patch stick...
Jera, I will take the 50:50 or phone a friend... : /
:) Yeah made me laugh... was in a card...
I don't know what your fabric is, but; I'd try paint thinner.
wax paper and a iron
lol what about trying eucalyptus oil
eucalyptus oil removes any stick stuff from anywhere, and leaves a clean, fresh smell!!
Could someone tell me how to shrink the size of quick note? It was a sweet little box. Now it's grown to full page and not as handy.
and if you have a sniffle its good for that too
gramma, your icon reminds me of innocent primary school days, long before anyone was aware of political correctness.
if you put wax paper on it and put the iron on it it should pull the sticky stuff off just keep doing it till its all off
It's a Girl Scout uniform... think I'll try the eucalyptus oil rather than the paint thinner... Oh, & I don't iron...
boysaway, I had the same icon as you..so I changed...then I had the same icon as movieman....so I changed again
gramma - change the size of the quick note just like any other window. Either the middle button in the top right corner, or mouse-over a corner or side until you get an arrow, then click and pull
and I have the same as shorty... will go and change!
Well that would work if you ironed LOL
Jera has the same as me! and we live in harmony!
Ah, that's better...refresh for Little Boy Blue
ok with 120 left i will go and have a shower and then off to dream land to dream of all the gold medals australia is about to win and of course my next glass of wine
...he needed the money
I will see you for that glass of wine sandy!
my (very limited) cleaning tips: salt on red wine cold water for blood nail polish remomver for sticky stuff (but it can damage the surface) - I think I remember my high-school chem teacher saying that Coke takes off sticky stuff too, but maybe not - it's supposed to get rid of battery corrosion, but I've never needed to try it
anyone have the ho6/24 and can give a clue please.
fmitch, looking at the whole being
Lickety is suffering in Sudoku tonight!!
Thanks for that boys, have nailed the h's.
Sorry I stepped away for a sec to check my email :)

I'm back... the eucalypyus oil worked like a charm... cleared my sinuses, too!

(((peri))) thank you hun!! :)
gramma, you did get answers!!
Gramma, amanda did at 07.26 or thereabouts.
gramma, don't know, sorry
Jera! Isn't it the best stuff!!
mrp... I have the same what as you?? *looks scared*
Jera you had eucalypyus oil at your house?
gramma - I tried to answer! Scroll back to 7:26 - is that the answer you're looking for? If not, I'll try again...
same icon Jera!! LOL
I put in the bath when the kids are stuffy... great stuff to keep on hand... now even more so... it takes a lot for the cleaning job, though, I will need to buy more right away...
Remember, shorty, I'm a Witch... I go for the herbal home remedy stuff whenever possible...
all these icons make me want to recite ADC's old bit.
TY
oh thats right I forgot
Oh, i really see, now... Gwyd has that very poster in his room... he loves it...
clues for the last two ag's?
Angel, add the short word for mother(s)
That's definitely making the weird little word list...
Anj, I just saw your reply to my cleaning question... LOL!
: D
Is that Little Bo Peep?

No Narnia, either...
Little Bo Peep <beep> her sheep <beep> a horse, licked his feet She ate his <beep>so very nice Tongued his <beep> not once but twice. there...I got it out.

I keep getting put on hold
Temple, sorry, you need the post that goes this way
hi boys! : ) that's the 7/48...
plural of the li/6 33
nm, misread
Okay now I'm off the phone. one of my student's parents dropped the family activity book in the bathtub and the pages all stuck together. Had to get KM to send a new replacement.
Curious George --- we took the girls a few weeks ago. Sarah (11) didn't want to go - it was going to be a baby movie. Well we had as much fun watching her watch the movie as we did watching the movie. I was very impressed with the innocence with which it was done. Very refreshing.
wow, you mean they didn't throw any any adult humor?
last word and am stuck sa6/21 can I have a clue please :)
Nope, no adult humor in it... finally a straight up kids movie... and George is absolutely adorable! Hi again everyone!!!

I'm back! Hey toes ((((toes)))) HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! : D
TY everyone I put those in from the clues.
Happy, happy birthday to you Toes!
ma6/39 & 7/56 - never heard of them: "A swamp or bog formed by an accumulation of sphagnum moss, leaves, and decayed matter resemblling peat" - as if that helps. The 7 ends with your k4/10 - the 6 is singular
(((( mab,lola,mm)))) THANK YOU! hehe
Is not Toes positively glowing? I can feel it even through cyberspace. Capone is glowing too!
mab, she is! And she is going to be a splendiferous mom! : )
back all! li5/20 please?
I think I lost Capone is cyberspace! *looks around feverishly* Baby are you there? Mab thank you so much darling, your so sweet :)
li 5/20 uses the tongue to wipe food
temple, what you do to a lolly
li5/20 is plural for li4/9
yikes! thanks!
Welcome ;)
I have an ar8. which others am I missing?
Ra 8/65 and Sh 8/70
ra 8/65
OMG I have none of the 8's! Could i Have clues please? :D
Sh 8/70 plural of the 7/52, rhymes with L7 and P7
the sh8 sounds like a chocolate bar : )
the ar8 - people who make chain m4/5
brb
ra8, skin itch plus opp of hate : )
Still no ph6/27? How about the first mi6/27?
mi 6/27 - first part of Miss Driver's name, then Japanese currency with vowel changed.
mi6/27 & my7: what you might see in a desert
sorry amanda, only half way there and don't have those yet : /
mo6/24?
hint for the ph6: there is a psychological test called the MMPI. "Minnesota Multiph---- Personality Inventory." The ph is part of the second M.
thanks!
ph6/27 ph + first vowel + opposite of well, minus last letter
thank you much all!
mo6/24 a pattern of tiles

*it* was perfect *blushes* sorry
Back again : )
hiya everyone!!!
hi anj, bex
Hi Kissmy, Bex : )
Anj -- has anyone mentioned how tasteful your icon is? Full off childish whimsy, and yet somehow sophisticated and elegant. It is a joy to behold. Truly.
Feeling good with a 7/48. I'm getting there... It's a compound word.
hehehe!
Hey babe! (((xxx))) I was just sending you mail! : )
still looking for a clue for the ci6?
Why Mab, that was a lyrical description of my icon : ) It's woman and sheep in perfect harmony : D
Well put!
Hi babe : ) (((xx))) Ishult, do you mean the ci7??
Ishult - ci + ph5/18 - no idea what it means
Ah! Found it - has to do with cryptography
kissmy - Aw thanks sugar! Amanda - Yeah what's with that crap?! lol
I love sheep! Baaaah! I like the real fat fluffy ones :) So cute! Fat cats are the best!
My icon is of Persephone. To me it looks like she is snorting something. Ok. Going to dye my hair. Trying for honey blond, but I'll bet it comes out red.
Steady Toes... lol : D
good luck mab! : D
haha mmmmkay
Good luck Mab.
I need opinions, please. I have put some intomation on how to keep the Babble resource page updated on the bottom of the online page for those who have the resource page on their hard drives. I'd like to know: would it be more helpful to have that update information on a second page, or should I leave it as it is?
Leave it as it is, Angel. : ) It works all on one page, I think. Thanks for adding my profile, btw!! That was such a good idea of yours! :D
angel, looks good to me : ) Hey babs! ((x)) : )
Angel, looks fine as it is, athough it wouldn't do any harm to have it on a second page via a link. I used to use content management systems and always tried to keep a balance between the page content (screen size only if poss) and the drop downs/links so that all the info was never more than 2 clicks away from the home page. : )
it was a natural addition, Babbler! I'm always on the lookout for new links/tools. If you know of any, do let me know so I can check them out.
Hi Babs : )
good morning, babblers
happy birthday TSM!
Hi Hurshy : )
Okay I cannot do this right now. I'm going to go take a nap and then come back<G> There are not this many words in this grid.

Cleaning does no good, it just gets dirty again...

SPB = Sad Posessed Babbler?
sa6/21 = indian snack or compressed version of famous baseball player
mother <beep>ing <beep>smoking piece of <beep>
sa 6/21: indian fried filled turnover
Capone - I got your fucking fucker fuck right the fuck here and now..
MFCSPOS = bad words you probably can't type here
hi lola, faerie, bunnyv, Amerine TSM, Anj, Capone, Angela, Temple and any lurkers too!
Hi Boreetos : )
Am-um yeah that's it...NOT
Hola, Boreetos!
hola, Boreetos!
Hi Anj - I see you like Sheep.
SPB = <beep> <beep> <beep> ? LOL
if SPB = sore pudgy bastard, thats me not only is my foot injury flaring up, but my upper body feels like it was hit with a sack of irons
i finished the sudoku!!! i only have 17 words here though!!
Capone - 9 irons?
Way to Bex - but good luck with this one...
Sudoku was bit of a pain today...
hi bex, smithchick, angelsong and anyone else I missed the first time.
angela: if you still need it ri7/48 = ri7/52, but changed the 2nd and 3rd letter
Capone - I'm sure you will soon find out - when you see Toes that is.
which is fine if you have the7/52...LOL!
owl: ri 52, think a man-powered cart in asia
ai7/32 - and the fish, please!
Well, I'm off. Nice chatting w/you :) Take care of yourself! Capone, always a <beep-ing> good time. I'm going to call TSM and see what SPB is. Muahahhaaa!
ai 7/32 - what you breathe + post
ai 7-how you send letters overseas...and what is this fish thing?
no, since my foot prevented me from doing any cardio monday, i doubled up on the resistance training and now i'm paying for it. plus the fact someone kept me up killing giants til 1am didn't help... ;p
thank you all for the help...the fishes are what we hit ourselves with when we miss the obvious...like plurals, ings, ed,
when you find out Am, let me know.
Igorms, it's the fish of obviousness... When the word is staring at you but you still don;t see it. Like me and etna : /
Igorms-the fish - when there is a word that is really obvious and someone else has to point it out to you, you get smacked with a fish....
like the ri7/48...which is obviously going to take more than i clue for me : /
faerie, owl, anj...thanks...apparently the fish is fishing me right now...i am new at this game...
owl: need another clue for ri7/48?
y/w Igorms...there are fish for every occasion too. Plurals, paste tense, adverbs, latin plurals, wrong letter, wrong direction, frustration etc... We like to diversify : D
Igorms-we were all new at one time...I too had to ask about the passing of the fish..lol and yes, I've been fish slapped many times.
ri 7- mans name minus the c + little swimmers just dicussed (f***) + first vowel
Sorry Cap, I'll try to make it 1:30 next time :D Bye!
T-Owl - that ri7 - Sounds like a Steely Dan song... R.... dn't lose that number, plus the Babbler who is Ruthy's sister ; )
nice clue babe : )
i always though that was a Genesis song. It sounds like Phil Collins to me. anyhoo.
thanks all, gotta roll. good luck!
Bunny-excellent clue on the ri - I got it right away and I'm not even to the r's yet....
i gotta go, work beckons. see you kids at lunch.
TY
Igorms-Come play again...Bye :)
'bye igorms and boreetos : )
Boreetos, Donald Fagen at his best. Phil Collins hasn't impressed me since And Then There Were 3... : /
igorms, you might want to check out Angelsong's Babble page (there's a link on the right, under Friends of Babble).
yay dan! not that i'm not grateful - but isn't that the 7/52?
eg6, anyone have a clue?
ri 7/48 isn't in the dictionary. It's a misspelling
nvm, pulled a hurshy again
eg 6/27 = part of Freudian theory + ism
ah, T-Owl, yes, techy there I thihk : / ri7/52 - same ending, but put Bogie's Casablance dude in front : )
Hurshy, the cult of self maybe : ) Or maybe the Cult of Ronay with a missing N ; )
DONE...the last one I got was the OR6 & OR7...does that say something about me...lol...No self respecting guy should miss that one...
BBL - gotta go do some banking and grocery shopping. I still have 122 words to go..bye
Ouw- LOL - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
Hey again. I'm back. I had to go pretend to be busy for a little while.

later babe : ) xx
bex - sudoku wasn't bad : ) 45 mins. I had to make one guess, which was wrong, so I had to go back a little, but otherwise, not bad! :D
what difficulty level is the sudoku today?
it's medium I think... ??
I'm saving the sudoku for later : )
its medium but it seems harder than yesterday
uh-oh :S
I thought so too, bex. : /
babbler do u pick the themes for the pictures?
Uhhgg, done. Glad I started this one when I woke up last night.
bex - everyone makes suggestions, babbler keeps track of the list of what day is what - you can suggest themes if you have ideas! :)
Yay! Well done bunny! ... now you couldn't help me with re5/14 could you? : )
is there a day for pets???
yes bex, that's coming up on the 28th
good!!!! :)

Bex, do you have a pet aardvark, or something really exciting to show off?
re5/14 _ means to play king, re + first part of the word for birds that fly in V's (only one e)

ph6?
ph+first vowel+unwel=last letter, hurshy
Gotta go, back later : )
ty angel
How come it won't accept "ickish"? I'm finding this whole grid to be pretty ickish, so it seems a little unfair that I can't even use the word!
bye lola : ) can someone please give me clues for the ro5/14 and 6/24?
had to modify it. my friend that owns a photography studio actually has a full scale model of that show he uses as a prop.
er, SHOE
temple, what you say on a walkie-talkie when you've heard the message
thanks hursh - boggle will not take that word...
what about ra8?
vicuna im with u, icky and ickish should both be allowed especially when they want us to find 200+ word...lol
Hurshy... Great clue..

it's on tonight, sherb???
in the UK...
ahhh....

It's also a little ironic that with multiple almosts, you still can't quite get "irony."
mary mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? sherbie
hey, just noticed... my icon is in the grid...
i know, i so want irony to work!!!
there are multiple nursery rhymes with mary in them, maybe dr_g did it on purpose!

The only thing I'm doing on the floor is sprawling exhausted in abject 117-wordsstill-to-go-ness.
<---- this big ol' cow jumped way the heck over the moon!
lol, vi! it's a bad one, isn't it? the owl and the pussycat went to sea....
your killing me TSM
The cow jumped over the moon..... (Physically impossible, but hey, it's only a nursery rhyme!!!!)
she has a way of doing that shorty
toes: how far along are you? LOL!
LOL
clues for the last three ho's?
Angel - The theory that living matter or reality is made up of organic or unified wholes that are greater than the simple sum of their parts = the ho6 (plural for the 7)
Angel - ho4= an archaic past tense of help.....

I love you too shmoopie! Be hungry when you get home. Going home early to start the steak and lobster :)

Atalante! Woot thanks for that little "oops" hehehe :)
Thanks, Haz -- don't know why I keep forgetting that one! -- maybe because around here everything is either selfserve, or pipeline.
Don't be mean! :(
happy birthday ;)
Thank you Atalanta! Capone :(
cyber - there are lots of males working today - ai6, ra6 and ga6
ma4/7 of them, in fact

Vicuna - just looked at your work; so nice, interesting and well done. Love that cat and fiddle. Very much liked the masks, and too many others to mention.
LOL, uh oh. that jab earned a call to the celly.
Thanks, mab! That's kind of you to mention!
TSM "yes dear" "anything you want dear"
how am I doin here ladies?
You forgot ' You know best'. Repeat it often.
"you know best dear" "you know best dear" "you know best dear" "you know best dear" "you know best dear" "you know best dear" "you know best dear" that work for ya?
*Hugs Capone* I just want you to spend time with me that's all.
You have email Cap
I will, but I made these plans a few weeks ago.
It's.... my birthday.... :(
and how did all this wind up for the world to see. its the friggin joe/hannah soap opera on babble vision
ok
hey, we're all friends here. argue away! we'll just ask for clues around ya!
Hi all, I'm back : ) ata, you finished yet?
pffffffffffff! I wish! 56 to go and the list is looking very tempting!
back again... still 267 to find...
Why did I start this grid? I still have 170+ words to go. UGH
Hi Lola. Capone is teasing Toes - says he's busy tonight. He must have an awesome surprise for her. Awesome.
it's a bit of a sod today, isn't it? : / hi sherb! : )
MM - you started this grid because you are addicted, just like the rest of us! I've found this hard going today as well. 48 words left to find.
50 to go for me...
hi lola :D
I should be mudding the dining room walls but all I have done is babble and sleep.
Hi mab! I hope so. About the teasing and the surprise I mean! : D
please tell me it's easy... I need an excuse to start...
sherb, it's the easiest grid we've had in weeks! ; )
Sherb - it's not easy. It's not a well behaved grid like yesterday's. But join in anyway.
i think everybodys struffling - hardest grid for awhile. Have resorted to the list with 76 to go - my worst effort for ages!!!! Hi all!
its really easy Sherb :)
lola has been struck down with lightning....
hi dachef : )
struffling? struffling? must remember not to type in the dark. That might actully help, I think.
hahaa I went to the list after only having 11 words for about 30 minutes. I'm pathetic.
haz, LOL! .....OW! What was that?? : /
thanks all... *takes a running jump.....SPLASH!!*
struffling deserves to be a word
Sherb just start - easy is in the eye of the beholder.
Struffling sounds as likely as some of the words today.
struffling sounds like....fun! ; )
MM - you're not pathetic, you're efficient!
hello everyone ...si6/24?
It sounds like what my dog does in the field on the trail of a long gone rabbit
It's so easy, Sherb, that I'm doing it a second time. Just for laughs. Really.
UGH Mab!!!!!
hey mm, you still have to find the darn words! The list just stops you from monkeying aimlessly : )
mab - maybe you need help... ;)
Atalante - it's when they put their nose down and really breathe in as much as they possibly can to get the scent!
Thanks haz - It's good to know I have friends and compatriots here.
yes! and the more disgusting the scent, the more that needs to be inhaled
hi tim : ) si6/24, si plus tele****e...add the blanked out letters : )
Sherb: 'Maybe?'
TIM - sorry didn't notice you there! si 6/24 - a device to drain liquid out.
Im still struffling. Anyone know if TSM and Capone resolved their "differences"? I was enjoying that little spat!
yeah, redundant question... ;)
hi kids
I know Lola - but having that nice ordered list of letters and numbers makes me feel more productive. I'm a list kind of girl.
hurray for lists!
dachef - it's all gone quiet... maybe they're making up?
thanks Haz
or maybe they are fighting on the phone so we can't hear.
musicmom - me too, I LOVE lists!!
sherb, either that or theyre busy throwing things at each other!
brb
mm, that's what I meant! I love the list, it saves me time. I meant you weren't 'weak' because you still have to do the hard work, find the words : )
I'm lying of course, but it isn't too awful. It is possible however that my last 86 words are hideously obscure and will cause me to suffer horribly.
mab - rest assured they are!!!
Thanks Lola. I admire the people who can go without.
Love the list. Thanks for that encouragement Dachef. I don't see cheerleading in your future, however.
mab, no point in lending him my pom poms then?
No lola - you better keep them.
other than entertainment? probably not.
dachef... and pom poms... there's a picture...
Oh, go ahead, Lola. I'd love to see what he can do with them. I mean, I think I would...
He'd cook them.
...is it just me seeing him naked with the pom poms?? : /
is there any other way to use pompoms?
lola - just you, sure, only you...
me? naked with pom-poms? ok, whos been talking? Those photos were supposed to have been destroyed.
dachef, I thought I'd hang onto them until you returned that video..... : )
never played babble - what sort of scores should I be getting? how many words is respectable for a beginner?
I HAVE to see this video.
<looks nervously around to see if anj is lurking> ;)
Oh, please, Dachef. You're naked right now - it's obvious in your posts. One just needs to read between the lines.
chu, the number of possible words varies every day so no easy answer to that. just have fun! : )
Boreetos - I'll lend you a copy when I get it back from the police.
Dachef....naked with pom poms singing 'do a little dance,make a little love,get down tonight.....suddenly I don't feel so blue....
LOL! I meant the one of the babble girls in the babble jacuzzi!!! : D
:) that's all I ask.
tbear!!!! (((xx))) Where you been hiding?? Lola missed you : /
well, yeah lola, that's the vid I'm talking about.
ph 6, please?
or6/27? help?
tbear!!!!
'ello Lola ((((((XXXX))))))) in a grey corner....keeping a low profile
Only an hour left of work
or6 & 7 (pl): intercourse highlight.
tbear - the picture you describe would probably make you feel green, not blue!!!
ph6, a distinct stage of development. OR, add a vowel and the first three letters of another word for ill : )
Hi mab....Now is it TSM who's expecting?
hi tbear :D
cybernan, does your husband know you're helping other people reach or6?
re6?
Thanks, Lola...........lol, Vicuna
<<sigh>> My first request for help, and I had to ask about or6... It's been one of those weeks...
Aww bear, was worried it might be that : / Looking forward to seeing you next weekend : )
She is!!! She may need help in disposing of a corpse this evening, however -- let me know Toes.
re 6/24 achieve once more
re6 - getting back that which was lost
vicuna, LOL! : D
Lola looking forward to seeing you and Ms Sibury too..... :)
this is quite a frisky grid tonight... there's also the ro5/6 combo...
Congratulations TSM...you crazy woman!!
Hi Sherb....how are you honey? Good I hope.
sherb, guess you could say it's the ro's that lead to the or's?? : D
I'm good thanks tbear... love your beautiful blue stones... :D
evening all
hi!
brb Sarah's having meltdown.
hi ruthy : )
Yes the're great aren't they...was always very attracted to turquoise even before I realised it was my birth stone..
can anyone think of any other content or links that need to be added to the resource page?
turquoise is awesome. I designed this weird Scarb ring using Turquoise, although I never found a suitable stone for it before I was no longer in school.
back
Need help with the si6/24, please?
Never mind... found it!
ho 6?
ra 6/27?
ho6 - part of aperture plus part of is4
ho6 - Dirk Gently's Ho-- Detective Agency, but turn it from an adj form to a noun
ra 6/27 - male to collect unwanted clothes
ra6/27 - male who collects old cloth

jeffer, sounds like a guys name : )
hi bex :D

snowy, LOL! : D
Jeffer, would you get an "Airplane" reference? the ro's go along with "What's your vector, Victor?" and all those.
jeffer, the other ro5 is a bloke in a toga. For the ro6 add a hoop to the end : )
ro7?
vicuna, ty - always found him jolly
alright kids, I'm off to get something a triffle more productive than this done today. I'll be back in a few.
How did we get around to me with the pom-poms again? Boreetos - Salmon of Doubt would have been amazing idf he had finished it. Best comedic writer in the world, ever. No question. God rest his soul.
lola thats a tomato!
angel, like the prayer beads but change the last letter to two vowels ('me' and first) : )
ro 7 - is like part of a flower plus opera song
bye boreetos! Are there more productive things than Babble!

<runs away and calls over his shoulder for a clue for the ci7/48>
Now there's another picture in my head
ci plus the false ph5!
LOL! : D
I'm sure these last 54 words don't exist!
<sticks head round corner and checks on whereabouts of scissors. Decides to risk it> Last time someone trimmed my pompoms I had to pay for it. Thanks for the clue haz!
You're welcome!

i dont suppose anyone can help with ra8/65 please
ra 8/65 - is a combination. It means similar to a skin complaint
mo - ra4 + li4

Go to moreword.ca It's a great source
mo: resembling a skin affliction...babies get this affliction on their bottoms sometime
yes, galliwags, I'm interested in that site.
thanks galliwags!
ra 8 : compound word for spotty (as describing the skin)

mo: what babies get on their bottoms if their diapers are not changed often + li4/8.
I never could resist a wink from Baggo......
Haz and torgone ...thank you ...pass me the fish!!!

sa 6 - Add three letters of Aaron's brother's name, then vowel.
Just finished todays Sudoku puzzle. It was a wee bugger. Now I don't have the energy for babbling <sobs> Give it a go if you feel hard enough.
ga4/7 and the ga5/16 that follows it ...any clues please?
Aaron's brother, you mean Elvis?
Mo - the words ga4 and 5 are more normally spelt with an extra m. Think radiation.
mo - Greek letter minus an m! Think ga** ray......
I have a GA4/7 that is another word ~slang~ for women's legs (I think).
think of a type of laser mo....and plural it
Boreetos! Nice one, but no....

thank you everyone for your good clues
LOL Stef! I'm frightened of numbers -just ask my bank mamager!
Have no idea who Aaron's brother was -- tried a few guesses, but none of them were correct.
im telling you, it was Elvis.
Never mind -- just got it.
cybernan - try the baby found in the bullrushes
Cyber - just pluralise Mo's name.
Was Elvis not called Elvis Aaron?
REalized that was the only one I hadn't tried -- let my people go and all that!
Elvis was so named because Aaron, his twin, died at birth, or shortly before.
Sh 7?
i hope you all dont mind giving me so much help ....i feel a fraud ....but could i ask for your assistance once more please for the mi6/27 and mi 7/40 ..i assume they are associated

ri 7/48 is a stupid word. First four letters like a shortened form of Ricky, then first three letters of Miss Stone's name.
take away the ri4/9's c, add a vowel after, then add the same ending as the 7/52
thanks vicuna/haz....
What's wrong with serger -- I use mine all the time!

Welcome rivets - sa4/6 is a word that starts with sa, has 4 letters and scores 6 points. There are great links for this game on the right of the page under the Friends of Babble heading. Well worth a visit.
Hello rivets. For a full explanation of the game, click on Babble rules at the top of the page. We use a kind of shorthand in asking for clues. so4/4 means a word of 4 letters beginning with so that will yield 4 points. Words of 5 letters long are doubled in value and so on. Jump in and try it out.

Charlotte--wow, my daughter's in Boone and her best friend's family lives in Charlotte--nice city . . .
finally, a new Lost!
Cool. Boone is fun. I miss Nashville, tho.
Will be driving through your fair city tomorrow on way to DC to see two baby grandsons...and their parents!
Oh Fun! How old are the babies?
Had to resort to a 2 z for the last few. Need to get packed to get up early and hit the road. "Big" brother turned 2 in February; little brother is 6 months.
I could make great time in my G35, but husband is going, too, and he is kind of pokey and likes to stop a lot :)
Oh Fun!!! I hope you drive safely. If you can, try to avoid Charlotte during rush hour--its awful.
hahaha
We're leaving from Atlanta so will wait to miss that rush hour which should put us in DC after their evening rush hour. I wanted to fly but no good sale fares, plus driving my car is pretty fun in itself.
Thats a nice ride through VA once you get through this area.
Will wave at you as we pass Charlotte, guigrrl.
:)
I understand radar detectors aren't allowed on Virginia highways?
