if you go to the photo before, it is his headless body just standing there by the side of the road, although you may have seen that yourself already
g7/36
d7/32
no, they wont let anyone drive down there, they have the road blocked off due to looters, only people who can prove they live there can get in

I had found it Mr. P -- didn't realize it had been posted.
Are they working, Leslie?
definitely not. i should post a list or something tomorrow, they are making me giggle that i'm even trying some of them

One box, two box, three four five box....6 grey boxes.
nan, I love your flowers that you had... I think that is your signature so far!
No I gave up -- thought it might have to do with an ancient culture, but couldn't find it if it does.
LOL, 10 over here!
my8 - The vegetative part of a fungus, consisting of a mass of branching, threadlike hyphae - drop the last letter for the my7
good afternoon everyone
hi sandy! nice day?

Yup, sudoku is finished. Now for some word hunting :) And you?
yep at least i can finish those

I just love sudoku. So very elegant and concise. One sudoku a day might help keep senility away... ;)

LOL!

i have to go soon though cause have to go to school:(
MrP, I was afk for a bit but I am back to join you in the hunt! :)
okay have to go to school now bye all!!!!
Good day at school, Bex :)
I had a really interesting day today! My neighbour in our business district did the "pull business out from under my feet" today! I am ropeable!! (and that is a word in my dictionary!!)
Err.... now I am suffering from dutchness, I fear. Not a clue to what you mean. Did something bad happen to you?
oh yeah sprite... rope-able! need to be roped and dragged back in!!
like a bull in a china shop!
That much I figured out, but what about the business that was pulled from under you? Some nasty trick of a collegue?
I have a baby goods business, new and used... I depend on clients bringing me their pre-loved items and I on-sell them. My 'neighbour' has a secondhand CD music store... his girlfriend is pregnant and came in a few days ago looking for a pre-loved cot. We didn't have one as they are hard to come by
You are being somewhat oblique, mrpres. What in the world happened?
well, a client arranged to bring a cot today. She came in with her other bits and pieces too. He saw her bringing the cot in, approached her on the sidewalk and offered to buy it from her there and then!! He knew she was bringing it to me and he jumped her for the cot!!
press i just tried onsell but it didnt work
what a rat!!!
That's incredibly rude. He should be kicked in the... where it hurts. And she did sell it on the spot? That's rather daft of her too.
So he was trying to undercut you, get the cot cheaper. And right in front of you!
oh, she did more than that!! She had it in my shop, insisting I make a decision in .05 of a second cause she had 'someone else lined up to buy it'...
mr. p: was this a regular client?
You must have been steaming mad, mrP. What a b!tch!
She then told me who it was... and I was so upset!! I told her that it was plain rude and she blew it off as "oh well, I just want shod of it...?" I was so pissed off at her and my neighbour!
That is ratty behavior!
She is not a regular client, and she is now a 'black listed' client! She treated me like my business meant nothing, my service was nothing!!! And my neighbour... how would he like it if I took the clients that were coming to him to sell their CD's and railroaded them to sell to me instead... RIGHT INFRONT OF HIS SHOP! What a PRICK!
What ever happened to professional courtesy? If everyone plays fairly, everyone profits!
With a pardon to the rats. Very rude and opportunistic, both of them. Want me to kick them for you?
Kick them high, kick them hard!!
Hears to that, mab! So very true!
*aims carefully, after putting on the steeltipped winterboots from hubby... YIHAAAAAA! And again.... AYEEEEE!*
lol sprite!
well it is intimidating to talk to you all after following your postings and this great game for so long....but here goes...you guys seem great, and i would like to be someone that you trust to talk to
Well done Sprite! Wow, just like a ninja!
thanks Sprite... LOL!
Hi Weslie... welcome aboard!

Some sympathy and support never hurts when you are treated rattily :)
hello weslie : )
this is the best place to come and relax! I can tell you guys things that are so "blaaaaaahhhhh" and you help me in the best way! Humour!!
Bye sandyloo, see you later :)
We are usually pleasant, Weslie, however, things do come up now and again that just can't be ignored.

Temple: 'one and on4'
Now I feel dumb, lol.
hey owl...
But it's nearly 4am and i havent been to bed yet! *accepts fish anyway* SPLAT!!!
Owl, you are excused. But it is 9.45 in the morning here... I should have seen that one, lol.
Sprite, did anyone tell you about the stats list brandyjack did with one of the grids last week in Dutch?
No? Sounds like fun!
well i must go - see you all later - just have to put in 9 houurs at work and i am free until monday! happy babbling! hang in mr p! bye all!
g'nite owl
bye owl! Thanks!!
Good luck at work then, nice thing to look out to, so much free time :)
*waves to all* see you!
It is posted somewhere in Babblers Anon. Interesting. He can apparently produce word lists in virtually any language without much trouble. We had a discussion here about multi-lingual approachs to the grid. Could broaden the appeal of the game immensely, new markets for Dr G-d, etc. I think that brandyjack is a fluent Dutch-speaker.
I often am distracted by dutch words that are so very obviously there in the grid, but not valid. Just start thinking... if Dr_God would make that option available, I could play each grid twice! Once for each language :)
oops, bye Temple!
Dachef did the grid with his Spanish girlfriend one day, finding (on that particuar day) many more Spanish words than English.
mab, it sounds like a plan! I hope Dr_God likes the challenge. It would require a lot of dictionaries to be implemented in the site, but technically I think it could be done. We would have to select the language we would like to use, and then the stats panel should adjust to that. Great, great idea!
Will have to suggest it to Jamie. I think he's been preoccupied with that (shudder) number game.
Morning all Just popped in to see how the grid is today. Sprite if you go to babanon, general and then foreign babble there is a thread there and an example of a Dutch grid (you could play it on paper).
That's fun too, but much more straightforward. I love both. Hope Jamie will catch on on this suggestion, it is really great!
Thanks FMitch, and hi :) Think I will do that Dutch one, just for fun.
thank you for the welcome mr. p
LOL Sprilte thought you might!
I'm so stunted when it comes to numbers that when Ithink of them I see them in my mind's eye spelled out!
that's cool wes
There you are with icon and all! Welcome indeed Weslie. Fox socks, how adorable FMitch.
Good morning all. I'm just about to start but this grid looks quite nice.
Thanks mab, it was one of my most fav childhood books. Hi to welie and welcome.
this is a great time to chat for me...and wow...mr.p, sprite, and mab are all chatting...some of the best clues i ever got were from you guys as i learned how to play
Morning Haz, Rats must go as have a lot on this morning, catch up with everyone later.
I'm Seuss-deprived; my mother, for reasons unknown, disapproved of him.
hi FMitch...and thanks for the welcome
Later, FMitch. Hi Haz.
bye to those leaving, hi to those coming in!
Good morning, Mab. Should I be changing my icon to favourite children's book?
Was yesterday's theme. Not sure of today.
Haz it's Dr Seusse day!!!! waves byeeee
Bye FMitch. I have to confess I've never read Dr Seuss...
I just love Dr Seuss. He's as much fun in Dutch.
thew news just came in from the county of keck that a very small bug by the name of van veck was yawning so hard you could see down his neck.......
I am FNISHIDE!!
Did anyone see the movie The Cat in the Hat? Brilliant, how they preserved the atmosphere of the book. Like the books, it's meant for kids, but it made me laugh.
Congratulations MrP!
how many words please
lol, congrats Mrp :) Hi everyone!
FNISHIDE? That's wordefnull!
Wow, fast, Mrpres!!! Brava!!!!!!
196
Ah, thanks to the checkboxes, I am flying!! Hi Trish!!
Thanks a lot
Hi trish :)
Hi trish.
hi back at you, Sprite & Mab & MrP :) MrP, your checklist does allow for hyper-efficient babbling ;)
Bummer, it says anglian isn't a word (but it is).
Tried that too. Twice.
Was just reading the log, MrP, sorry about your business woes... the pair of them are ignorant jerks, IMO.
finishde fireworks for mrp;
Thanks Trish! May as well set up a car boot sale outside my shop and charge them to sell their crap in my space!!
Thank you weslie, love fireworks!
I believe it's even mrP that introduced the fireworks here! :) %%%%***%%%*** FIREWORKS ***%%%%***%%%% for mrP then!
lmao, you're a true entrepreneur, MrP. You also coulda charged them a middle-man/finders fee.
thank you who chatted with me for first time...off to the sleeps ....happy hunting to you all and hope to chat again soon
Sleep well, weslie!
Weslie - hello - how long have you been doing babble in the background?
bye weslie, sorry I didn't get to 'greet' you with the others, see you around the grid :)
That's me done for today. MrP, I suggest you contact that man and thank him for the wonderful idea of selling HIS wares to your clients... that you set up a surprisingly successful CD-sideshop. ;)
months ....just afraid to insert into the witty conversations....you all seem like you have known each other for so long....but i grow braver....you have all been so nice...thank you for the clues and i hope we will chat again soon...g'nite
Hi, everyone!!!!! Anyone for some green eggs and ham????
nite weslie
Well, I'm glad that you've emerged from the shadows! Hope to chat again, sleep well.
How many more times, movieman... I JUST DO NOT LIKE GREEN EGGS AND HAM!
Greetings Movieman.
'Night Weslie.
I believe what goes around comes around... Karma, Mojo, whatever you call it, it bites the butt at some time... Then again, maybe they just don't care! That is usually the answer to why people do the things they do!
Hiya Movieman
I do believe that what you send out into the world, comes back to you. Cheaters become cheated, people who try and be loving and honest will attract people who are of the same mind. Just not all the time, alas ;)
Sprite, so true! He deserves her cot and she deserves whatever she got for it!
I agree. Have to go, have fun hunting and hinting all of you :)
Bye Sprite.
Bye Sprite!
I have to go as well. This is my morning for helping with Riding for the Disabled but I'll be back later.
That sounds like a rewarding way to spend your time! Bye Haz!
weslie are u still here
Hi Sandy :) Wes said bye a little while ago.
hi trish i just wanted to tell him how nice you all are to me (a newbie) lol trish your name reminds me of my daughter she always says she is going out "trashbagging" she is very nice and an architect by the way
ooh no stats yet on the babblers anon page
I'm a comparitive newbie myself, Sandy, only been babbling a couple of months... I have to say I've not seen many online forums that are so easy going, friendly & welcoming! You must be proud of your daughter :) Architecture fascinates me, but I don't have the math ability to even comtemplate it. lol@trashbagging... should I run?
i am proud of her she is working on the grand hall of a huge university in dubai at the moment - i wonder how she does it - she has worked on some fantastic projects with the firm she works for she worked in sydney for ages but is now back in perth for a little while
wow, sounds like quite a project! Taking a break for a while (is it me or is this grid more full of nasty little words than usual?) see you around, Sandy & everyone .... bye MrP, if you're still around!
has everyone gone for zzzzzs
No Sandy - I'm lucking around here :)
I meant lurking..........

Sandy - what storm damage - I must have missed that part of the chat log. I've ben play for a few months.
sandy, I saw the url for babble in the sunday paper. I hadn't played many word games on line and had never been in a chat room before. The chat log plays a big part in why I come back (nearly) every day. I've made some wonderful friends here and have even met a couple of them! : )
Hi Lola - long time since we've been on together.
Hi dianne! How are you? : )
well look at leslie annes' comment at 12.11 natlt at 12.05 and 12.12 and the site is said by leslie at 12.08 it sounds dreadful but im not sure where it is

*lola puts finger on her lips and winks at dianne*
yes lola i had never chatted until i played word games and this is ok cos everyone is of a like mind- i would love to meet someone who plays but im too far away -
I've got all the C words - what do you need?
This is what I have: ce 4 5 ce 5 12 ce 4 5 ce 5 12 ce 5 12
there is a ce4/5 as the last ce word and then a cy6/30. I work on a clur for that one........
cy6/30 - cy + the man that parted the red sea but drop the last letter of his name.
Thanks dianne, great clue! : )

I know there is an my8 (but don't have it yet). Anyone know what the other 8 is?
'bye dianne, thanks for the help : )
lola - think it's na8, but I don't have it yet, or the my8 come to that, although I know it's fungus related (aren't we all, lol).
thanks chessy. I'll give my monkeys some coffee and chocolate biscuits and see what they can do, lol! : )

I meant what I said and I said what I meant An elephant's faithful 100 percent! Good morning. Amazing what remains from 50 years ago in those littel grey cells!
Good job Eva lol
50 years eva i didnt think they came out that long ago i remember reading them to my kids but dont remember them being read to me
but whatever i loved them
hi eva and faerie : )
Oh yes Sandy-somse of the earliest books I remember being read from.
hi lola.
Hi Lola - do you have the word list. It's not in Bab Anon.
wow who would have thought! they are quite delightful
hi faer im finding it even harder without the list
faerie, I'm using MrP's tick box one on angelsongs's page : )
Just looked this up to make sure my memory wasn't playing tricks on me: How many books did he write? Between 1937 and 1991, when he died aged 87, he published more than 40 books, which have sold half a billion copies between them - more even than J K Rowling's Harry Potter books. He nearly burned his first book, And to think that I saw it on Mulberry Street, after it was turned down by 27 publishers. 3. Did he have children himself? No. He was not particularly fond of spending time with them either. His widow, Audrey, said in a recent interview that he was slightly afraid of them. She said he was always thinking: "What might they do next? What might they ask next?" She added: "He couldn't just sit down on the floor and play with them."
Hi Sandyloo - I almost took green egg and ham as my icon.LOL
Ok - I'll use the grid as long as I can then - I'll just come and look over your shoulder. *grin*
faerie, can't you get on to angel's page?
Scrolling back through the log looking for clues, I came upon the discussion of Babble in other languages - I had to laugh, since I was just thinking yesterday that I'd like to be able to do the grid in German! I vote YEA for foreign Babble!
Yes Lola - I'm tap, tap, tap, away///wrong theme
amanda, but this IS foreign babble, isn't it? You mean these are ENGLISH words??!! : D
I thought babble was a completely invented language!
need coffee. brb
Know what you mean, lola - but that's the fun thing about English. It's one big foreign language, even if you're a native speaker!
very interesting eva thanks for that
I'm back. Lol Cheesy - it is
Nice history leason Eva....
i take it that you can't have the same word twice - even if it appears twice? ;-)
thats right david any one got clues for the ae 7/32 or ae6/21
anyone got the di7/40? It's my last d and I can't find it : (
Ok, I jumping in > _ <
David you are correct - got to the right side of the page and check out Angelsongs Resouce page...

The di is what you do to renal failure patients

Sandr - if you go onto Angelsong's resource page and find 'Mr P's stats list' you'll get the stats and the chance to use a clever tick box system.
thanks haz - have seen MrP's systemm before. Prefer to struggle on for the mo!
That's fine, I just wasn't sure if you knew about it. I'm using it for the first time myself today.
im finding a lot of flora in todays grid!
haz how did u get into riding for the disabled - a friend of mine runs one not far from me
true sandr - and lots of female names :)
Sandy - it all started quite a few years ago! Some of the other vets' wives were involved and asked me to come along. I did sidewalking for quite a number of years but when the lady who did the tea retired, I stepped into her shoes and now do that role.
((((Haz)))) come here girl I want to give you a great big ole kiss (smooooch) thank you, thank you, thank you, just found MrP tick box - You are wonderful and so is Mr P.....
Put me down, faeriekae - you don't know where I've been! Seriously, glad you found it!
*puts Haz back in her chair* sorry, I got a bit carried away. *heehee*
My philosophy in this game is to give and get as much help as you can!
morning all, whats today avatar theme?
fairie i found the tick box but every time i leave it to look at the grid all the ticks disappear its my fabullous computor skills no doubt!!!
Never mind that - what happened last night? Speculation was rife on the chat log.
Dr seuss
Amen Haz - It takes a Village to complete some of these grids..
take me to the village!!!
Avatar - correct Capone..
lol Sandylooloolooo
Could you print out the tick boxes and fill them out as you go?
i could try
Yes Haz - It's working wonderfully for me...this is fantastic....Angel deserves a huge reward for all her time and effort ya know.

Capone - whats a SBB ?
She has put a huge amount of work in, that's for sure. I'm kicking myself now that I haven't used the tick boxes before now.

Bye sandr - see you later.
Good idea Sandylloolooo - Think I'll just send her a little donation...she really does deserve it.
Sandr Bye :)

of course you would have to know how to send an ecard
sandy- do I recall you having problems with your husband and bank statements? He would be interested in you funding a new car for someone!
LOL of course he would but i would have to hide the statements very well.
ok how is dane not on the list :/
Capone is a SBB

Good morning everyone. Can someone send me MrP's tick list link? I had to restart and I didn't bookmark it.
tick list? still a noob here
MrP has a list that has little check boxes beside it. You can tick them off as you find the words to keep track of what you have.
(((MusicMom))) - can you access it from Angels page. That is where I got it from.
oohh I didn't realize she had it. I will try there. Thanks!
brb
Found it - thanks!
hellooooooooo!
I need to go run a few errands. Be back in a couple of hours. This one doesn't look too nasty today.
most everything Babble is on my resource page. I freely admit I'm a packrat....
And thank God for that Angelsong. I'm completely dependent on the list:-))

how do you know the sudoku is medium and do we have a choice of doing a more difficult one
(((Angel))) goodmorning...yes you are in the puzzle..lol
I have no idea ... I don't have a clue what I'm doing with sodoku, I just click things kinda randomly! Apparently there are strategies and things with weird names like x-wings but I have no ieda what they are!
Hi Sandy, Each day is adifferent level (we can't choose) it says the level on the top r/h corner of the grid
me neither i saw that today xwings!!!!! lol
Angel - your page has been a life saver today...without BJ's list I thought I was doomed until Lola pointed me in your direction.
hi mitch the first day i got 10 points but have only got 2 the last two days
I wish I knew how to make one of those lists, myself.
capone where in the puzzle are u ?
me too!
can anyone recommend a good page about suduko with these xwings etc in that's written in language understandable by totally illogical people?
those lists are great angel mr p is very smart
they were talking about a "quick sudoku site" today did you see that......
i am the place where it gets very hot
lol Capone..
I'm going to have a chat with mrp. Because if I can figure out how to do such a list myself, it will be a good back up in case hers or BJ's isn't posted for some reason.
lol are you in there or causing it i had some other ideas of which words mite apply
both
angel has list like BJ's?
Excellent idea Angel - that would be grand if you could add that to your resource page...
what's mrp's site url?
Hi Une :)
there is a link to MrP's list on the resource page, Une
soon it will be st pats day and time for me to change my icon(which has become the highlight of my day) only 2 hours to go
hey, faerie :)
atalante, the link to MrP's list is on the resource page.
angelsong, that's really easy to do. You make a new column for the tickboxes and fill them with <input type="checkbox"> - that should give you tickboxes if you're just using html
I need to learn to genrate the list, though.
faerie, I'm going to try to figure it out. that way, we always have a back up plan.
have you got a programme that generates them yet?
no, Atlante, I don't have one yet.
Ok, only 4 left, they're probably staring me right in the face: an 6 24 ga 5 18 na 5 12 sl 5 14
ta6/24
ah. I see the problem! I wonder if mine and mrp's are written in the same language ... it looks like she has to input the list manually into her html - though maybe I'm missing something from a quickie look at the code - but mine can populate a table automatically though it's not 100% tuned to enable (about 99.9% though LOL, working on fixing a few bits). But combining the two could be beneficial for all
an 6/24 plural of the an/5 14
an6/24 plural of an5
oops - the other an 6 24 (the last one) - or am I just not seeing how to make that plural?
ga5/18 happily
thanks for the ga Une - do you need the ta 6/24 or are you just telling us there is one?
i've got it--thanks--got confused about what someone was asking for
its that other an 6/24 that i need also
understand - that's easy to do
that ta 6/24 is what ive been abandoning to play this
just found it--an6--starts with the a in the fourth row down
sandyloo :)
Just found a couple new links for the resource page. they are going up now.
Hurrah! only two left....
an**** at home? an**** here? an**** out there? (can't think of an actual definition!)

woohoo!
do i see a little dr seuss in the house? morning all babblers
ROFL looking back on your clues une
na5/12: nymph . . . also satellite of Neptune
sl5/14: s + l*** of the valley or day l*** or Easter l***
I had tried and tried to find that one - forgot about the other n - duhhh. Thanks. Now only that stupid sl 5/14 - my fingers hurt from typing everything but the right word
You've got to be kidding - that's a word?!?!?! Whatever - I'm done. Thanks everyone. If I can be of assistance to an6/24?
wow, congrats amandacath!
lol amanda
and very well done ( i can only dream)

There is a link right at the top of the page on the black line too.
thank you x
I'm back- had a phone call from one of my Sisters. We talked for 45 mins..
So you don't get along, then???
Haz-lol-we get along too well. Thats way such a long conversation. She is also my best friend. Linda and I are the closest in age in our family.
yeah, finished
Haz-I live in Michigan and the rest of my family is in Kentucky except for 1 Sis that lives in Indiana.
It's great when families get along. I can't imagine not having good relationships.
Rivets - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!
I agree Haz - I came from a family of 9 children...We either had to get along or be killed and eaten by the elders...lol
My husband and I have one sister each. We all get along really well.
hello everybody!
now I'll make you all feel sorry for me :P I only have my mother, my grandmother and an aunt as my family ... small family extraordinaire!
I had four younger brothers; one died as an infant. Since I never had biological sisters, I have "chosen" sisters instead.
Thats fantastic. It is sometimes harder to get along with small famlies than large ones.
wow, NINE, faerie!
((((Ata)))) awwww you have us (*^_^*)
Une - I'm from the South also Hon, what can I say. My oldest sister is 72 and I am the youngest at 46/47. My Mom is 88 yrs young.
*grins* I learnt a long time ago to make my own family, rather than rely on my "official" family"
My Dad passed away at the age of 65 or he would be 99 yrs old.
atalante, i totally understand--my friends and my daughter's friends are my CHOSEN family!!
i only have one brother...i prayed for him to be a sister so, so hard...
I have my unofficial twin sister, who I've known since we were about 10. We look the same, think the same, like the same things etc and people truly believe that we're twins! Just twins in soul rather than body, I say :)
Temple - sorry about your prayers...lol
Ata - thats so cool.
I'm very very lucky!
: D i have ye4/6 and its plural - what am i missing please?
y + "his wife could eat no l***" minus the "L"
Temple there are 2 ye 4/6
thanks une! : )
Hi Everyone : )
(((Anj))) Hi cutie!!
Morning from Massachusetts. Atalante, I have a friend who thinks very similarly to me - it's almost eerie. I have no living family I'm aware of, so I just love her to pieces. How is your friend who was so ill?
goodmorning Mab :)
Hi FaerieK : )
Aw, Anj, could you be any cuter?
((((all)))) Hey, it's Thursday : D
Mab, I don't normally do 'cute', lol! : )
Anj-How about "hot" :)
same friend :) she's ok ... well, her life lurches from one Crohn's crisis to another as normal. One of her cats died last week which was *terribly* traumatic - and actually, she pretty much discharged herself from hospital to be with the kitty for her last day or two!
So, where are the stats for today?? I am babbling away but how do I know what I am aiming for??? An----?
Yup, 'Hot Anj' sounds good } )
Nancy today's stats are posted in Babblers Anon, and myabe even Angelsong's site - see the links on the right : )
Anj is a hottie.....*smokin*
Oh, I'm so sorry. How very sad. I hope she stays healthy for a good while now.
Nancy - go the Angelsongs Resource page and look at MrP's list...Bj's list isn't up today.
hopefully :) well ... we can but hope! all her doctors seem realtively pleased though, which is a good sign!
Happy Thursday all! How are we all doing? :)
Morning Toes!
(((Toes))) I'm doing sideways thanks ; ) How about you??
((((TSM)))) goodmorning!!! What's up with Capone...he seems so down today?
((((anj, faerie)))) Capone? Are you there? Are you down love?

No, the sheep has been but in storage : )
..er put! PUT in storage : /
Anj-good-just feed it every now and again.
How Freudian, Anj.
Mab - LOL
Howdy, everyone! I think I've got the icon figured out.
Freud sheep? Prefer, mutton in a pie... : )
What is the theme today? Suese?
hi all. any clues for mo7/40?
The Cat in the Hat Does Integral Calculus?
Hi Doxy :) sorry just getting started.. again.
Hi Doxy, I have nothing TSM! How's the bun?
I was referring to your 'slip,' so don't try to change the subject. Hate mutton.
I mean SEUSS lol
mo7/40 a way of displaying art work.
*looks down* The bun seems happy. Warm, eats well, and happy... Thanks for asking! :)
Mab, I was chnaging the subject in classic political avoidance of the question style, vintage 1985
Faerie, I got your email thank you! Just that I am at work and everything online except for Babble and email is more or less bocked so I will have to view when I get home
(((TSM))) just because
Toes - it is great - just a short clip...
Ah, a fine ploy that stands all in good stead to this very day.
Deutsch goodmorning :)
Hi faerie!
Hi Deutsch : )
Faeriekae, sorry but I don't see any Mr.P list on Angelsongs resource page. Is this just for members? Meanwhile, I still don't have a clue as to how many words there is supposed to be today...HELP l
Nancy, 196 today : )
thanks haz, finally got it.
Nancy, I was confused too. Just click on the 'Links' at left on her page.
Nancy - In Angels page click on Links and you should see MrP's stat list. That is what your going to need.
Mr. P's list http://www.writely.com/V iew.aspx?docid=bccpk6gfhxhw4

Mab, thank you so much.....found the stats........who knew??? It is rather confusing, need to know that you must click on the links to find all that good stuff. Many thanks again. Now the task is to find all the rest of the words.......
Me tooooooo Toes :)
We should have a ladies night in Chicago! lol
Toes - that I could do. It's not very far for me... I could drive or fly. We should really consider it.
faerie, you and me... we are like this *crosses fingers* lol

(Afternoon everyone.):-)
((( Jacula )))
Good afternoon, Jacula!
Be back in about 5 mins :) Potty break and I need water! AH!
Loooove the hat, Jacs.
Hi Jacula! I've been thinking of going back to chicago for a visit. but only during the summer.
And the zoo. I haven't been to the Chicago zoo in about 5 yrs. But the dining and shopping would be wonderful. Summer is the best time of year to do anything as far as I'm concerned.
does Chicago still have the Taste of Chicago festival?
Hi Jac :) nice hat.
i keep typing in cycle hoping it will register *types 2 more timse* blasphemy what trickster puzzles these are lol
Way - maybe not the zoo - not looking like this - a blue elephant - they would keep me - LOL
Kissmtglass - I keep 'seeing' cycle, too.
*my. Oops!

Thanks I now have the mo 7 .... Sorry ((((Une))))
that makes two of us!
And quite rightly, evana. One must have standards. Anj, your gentlewoman's gentleman days may be numbered. You know, your little tussles remind me of Peter Sellers in Pink Panther, with the homicidal valet.
I was told 2 different days! Stupid doctors freakin me out here Sept. 12 and Sept. 18
Who, hang on. I was press ganged into this. I think i'm demonstrating grace under pressure : ) *hides large tin of squirty cream...*
Kissmy-*~dancing away*~ twirl, spin, temple, snake arms*~hips rotating*~ belly dancing (^_^) Brb - phone
fuck
That is what I get for not staying with one doctor.... CAP! :) Hiiiii <beep>er! :)
TSM - The good news is, the due date is never more than approximate, so you know the general ballpark, and that's fine. The bad news is, pregnancy is one long series of getting freaked out, calming down, getting freaked out about something else... So relax and go with the roller coaster!
Oh oh oh --- memory: when I was cocktail waitress in college we chased each other around the bar with squirty cream. Customers didn't seem to mind.
thats it faerie shake what you got in those jeans!!! *throws in a little macarena and then wait a minute... is that?... it is ... the lawnmower!!!*
Tsm -- i have a 1 year old -- i was over a week late w/him -- one rarely actually gives birth on the due date
Thank you Vicula :) that helps! You know bubble baths are amazing. that and I booked a massage next week!
brb works rears its evil head
and i was TWO weeks late--very ripe baby girl!!
TSM -- good luck with the pregnancy -- it is a wild ride but FUN!!
Guigrrl ok good to know... Well at least I have a round about week of maybes then lol ;)
LOL Une!
ROFL Une! Ripe babies LOL!

Go! Nosebag : )

very hard there are no 7's to be seen!!!
Afternoon all, i have got a few words left and am now struggling, can anyone help me with the mo7/40, he7/44 and ag5/14 please
mo 7 is a way of displaying art - French mountain and how old you are.
Dachef - great titles. I'm sending them to my husband TSM - Hi --- I'm freezing too. Hello everyone else. Just catching up on the log. Capone - you did NOT go to the races last night. Please say it isn't so.
he 7/44 - an adverb for he4/6
ag5/14 - either a secret service type of person or a plus ge4/6
no I had to make some quick cash to pay off my shy, I won about a grand. t'was a good night indeed.
hello bex, lovely to see you as always :)

lola, did you try sudoku today?
FMitch thank you hun!
FMitch, not yet! Been out most of the day. I'll play once I've finished babble. Must go start dinner now...it's soup weather today : /
Just found ae6/21 and 7/32 - roman official... ends on croco.... : )
LOL it is definately that, TTFN lola
soup! now thats a good idea!
Thanks Anj - I've been monkeying those for a while.
Tired and cold.... awful combo :(
Soup - yum. We had soup last night. Thursdays are always fast food night due to my teaching schedule.
What is your favorite fast food?
UGH - I don't really like any of it, but if I have to pick I would say Subway or Arby's. Tonight's choices will be McDonald's, Wendy's or Taco John --- they are on the same strip as my studio.
Last week I didn't like any of those choices so I ended up eating really late and having leftovers when I got home. The kids eat Wendy's almost every Thursday.
Aaah ok... Well at least it is only one night a week. Could be much worse!
Okapi Fricassee, but I can never catch them... } /
I haven't had fast food in a long time. Last time I did though it was Jimmy Johns Beach Club sandwitch. It's SO SO good!
yep. I try to limit it to once a week. The rest of the week I cook - either in the crockpot or something quick.
Ooo I like Jimmy John's. There is one on campus here. Greg and I go there for lunch sometimes.
crockpot = life saver! :)
if we could have gasman yesterday, why can't have his young apprentice, gaslad, today?
BBQ chicken or pork is awesome in the crockpot!
Anj that was an excellent clue you posted at 10.38, just took my frazzled brain a while to work it out.
hehehe Hurshy -- good question.
anyone got the cy6 yet? about to resort to alcohol. Then again, to be honest, Im about to resort to alcohol anyway. But a clue would still be good!
Yep that is a fav here TSM
cy+the parter of the red sea-last letter
cy 6 - add part of Grandma M***s name
ty Haz and mm, got im. Now, who wants a drink anyway?
it's a little early in the day for me DaChef - it isn't even noon yet. Thanks anyway.
Dachef, I'll take one from you please, it's been a very ong day.
Shredded pork, with jalapenaos and peppers is AMAZING
OK, let's try again cy6? Now ater of Grandmas please... : /
I am hungry now...
<tosses out copious quantities of various tipples and listens to the wonderful sound of glasses being filled>
Baby in bulrushes singular
Good one haz - I was trying to rework it.
anj - or add beginning of mo5 (saunter)
Holy M***s Does that help Anj?
Cheers Dachef!
Cheers! I thought it said partner of Red Sea lol! : ) I was thinking Gulf od Aden and scractching my head...
sorry:-((
<beep>ing typing is all to pot as well } /
LOL MM, it's me - I need glasses I think...or maybe to turn the light on : )
Well <beep> <beep>!! I mean Seriously... I am stuck lol
well in that case I'm not sorry<G>
Hey where has M_Fan been? Anyone know? Since that odd day with the cancer thing i have not seen her on...
And what happened with that cancer ordeal!?
she decided to leave babble, TSM, but we've all been conveying messages to her about missing her and we hope she will come back soon.
i wasn't talking about your feet Toes
TSM, she wont come back on, it all got a bit out of hand.
I have really enjoyed todays theme, one of the best so far, mind you am biased as loved Dr S books when young.
Me too F Mitch. Fun to see some old friends.
are there two cy's, or just the one?
Just one hurshy.
I don't think I ever read any of the books, cept Cat and Grinch
one fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish...
LOL MM, when I found my Fox in Sox icon I was just transported back in time.
i can't find the last ce, then... i have 3 related ones, and a pair about the top of the room...
We were just talking the other night that we need to dig these out for Hannah. She had them in her room in the other house but they are still packed up here. I love Mulberry Street and Wacky Wednesday and of course, Sneetches.
nvm, got it - is it the plural of the instrument or something?
hurshy - do you have the one that is the double consonant - one + s?
Yes it is the plural of the momma of the string family.
why isn't tanglies a word - anyone who's ever had long hair knows about tanglies :)
We battled some of those this morning hurshy.
...seconded!
very good question hurshy
lol hurshy
i am also missing one t, which is why i wanted tanglies... i have the shorter version of that, i have the space beverage, the buddhist one and what you get in the sun...
i don't get it/./ do the letters have to touch each other ?
There is a 5/14 but I don't have it yet.
yes they do, bzi
Good Morning,,,,, could someone tell me if Brandyjack is gone for today....I saw that there were no second letters posted by him??? thank you
ah, thanks mm - rhymes with a flower...
Yes bz - read about babble at the top for more rules.
Oops Babble Rules - not about Babble.
i also on4 have one of the o's :) anyone know the other?
bzi - I see we have lured you from sudoku LOL, have a read of the how to play babble rules up the top Yes the letters need to be adjacent to eachother.
but they don't have to be in order of a line ? for example tangle blocks touch eachother but it's not like you could draw a line along..
I don't have any o's yet.
bzi - rule #1 - don't post words in the chat :)
Hye Hursh - just realized you gave me an o thanks!
get a room MM/Hursh
:) yw mm
sorry i've seen someone asking about this one here .. anyway it's an obvious one ;)
bbbllltttttt Capone!
true hurshy but be gentle with someone who hasn't played a grid before, an honest mistake Im sure.
that's why i added the :), to make it gentle
apparently it was not effective :(
Ugh What did bz say? Did I say it to?
OMG! I was looking at Brandyjack's list and was driving myself crazy.... I got mrp's list now; that makes sense!
Christa Go to Angelsongs link under babanon and then the links section and choose at stats from MrP. She posts most of the time as back up to BJ
:)
I've got that FMitch - but I still don't see the blooper. I think I better limit my vocab to three letter words.
Wait a minute - now I'm totally confused. Is there another Christa?
hey all... chic....where do i find mrp's list?
heya
mm - check out 11:09
Sorry - my name's Christa too. Okay I'm going to shut up and immerse myself in the grid. I've made enough of an idiot of myself.
hi rolin :)
hey hurshy....how goes it..?
<quietly digging myself out of the pile of old stinky fish thrown my way>
mmm... ok i guess
ROFL MM, confusion reigns. Your name may be that be we didnt know that and yes there is someone further down the log using Christa as a screen name:)))))
(((musicmom)))
Hi musicmom... I have been playing babble since Oct.2004...I play daily and mostly watch the chat...am pretty quite.... Nice to meet you
rolin, go to the new link on right 'angelsong's babble page' and under links got to mrp's stats :-)

don't be sorry - anything amusing is GOOD :)
congrats Ouwachita! the di7/40 would be nice.....
(sitting crying quietly) Why has no one said hi?
oops, sorry caitlyn - hi!!!!!!
Hi caitlyn - I'm trying to be quiet and stay out of trouble.
hey hurshy : ) ... have you conquered the sudoku grid yet?
<hands Caitlyn a large drink> We Welsh always get ostracised. Its because we're so brilliant. How are you, anyway?
di7...means to clean out your kidneys...for example
HI CAITLYN!!! : D
n from bottom corner - you hit it with a hammer (((Caityn)))
no, lola - babble before sudoku
Wow! Suddenly super busy today! I just had a patient that is 17 with cancer :( I am sad now...
fmitch - no, you can get that from the third row
Scrolling back to reread about M_Fan and that stuff....
hurshy, lol! Me too! : )
TSM - that is sad.
Ouwachita - thanx. I know, categorically, that I have tried that already at least 16 times. Im sure that his game just likes to wind me up.
Thanks for the drink Dachef..and thank you all for your unexpected greetings ..I feel better nowLOL
na8
na8/50 goes from the bottom left n
hurshy, do you have the na8? If not, thing you hit with hammer plus body part : )
Just recapped.... Yeah, I can see why she might not want to play for a bit. Poor thing. Miss her though. She is a smart cookie for being so young! :) If any of you keep in contact with her, PLEASE tell her I send hugs? :)
na8...na4 + he4
MM - It is... So young and happy and ready for the world too. He almost had angel wings :) People like that humble me beyond words. Some time I want just cry and hug them
I'll let her know TSM as I have her email address, Im sure she will appreciate it.
FMitch - thank you much hun :) Really... thank you!

Need help on those 8 letter words! Clues anyone?
i do also need one more of the 3rd row n, having both hammer hit thing and pl
I experienced that when I taught public school. I taught in a very depressed rural area and I just wanted to bundle those children up and bring them home with me.

Okay - I'm taking a break - making coffee and reviewing lesson plans. Be back later.
Thanks Caitlyn- found it. You're right, faffing is an art form. I once faffed the opening four bars of God Save the Queen. Mighty proud.
lol, why, oh why, wasn't i born british???
are there any H's over 5 letters?
Fmitch lolling is the best thing to do on the weekend!!
I personally like to sketch about or go on a sketch with me mates
my mom caught me faffing once....
yes, he7/44 : )
dachef - perhaps you have a different sort of faffing in mind...
And if you faff like my mate Terry, you really should change your diet.
ROFL I am not going to finish today's grid as too busy laughing thanks to all of you!!!
Dachef i think im married to your mate!!!!!!!!!!
thats the plan FM, distracting those of you who will finish, so those of us that won't can feel better about ourselves.
LOL Caitlyn

Good morning everyone -- no stats from brandyjack today?
Hi cybernan
lol caitlyn cnan - no but you can get them from the links on angelsong's page, mrp put them up
Are we ever going to get today's list? I have 111 words so far, but need some guidance to know where to look for the rest. Any help out there?
......and relax! Done! Anyone need a hand before I go and do something deemed by my boss as "more constructive"?
Well done Dachef
Yay Chef! Bosses have some strange ideas, don't they?
silly boss
hurshy - clue for the as5? please???!
Ihave ta 4 x4, ta5 x 2, ta 6 x 1 ---- What am I missing?
atalante - plural of mental institution
as5 - as + the "nearly" vowel plus the sixth note on the doh ray me scale.
wow - weird word!
The as5 is SO not English!
cnan - you have more t's than there are?
sure it is, vi - plural of mental institution - it's the proper latin plural
erm - there are only 5 t's???
Exactly, Hurshy, proper LATIN plural. Not English.
but we have lots of latin plurals in english... antennae, for instance
if we're going to steal words from other languages, we might as well steal them right! :)
Honestly, can you imagine anyone ever using that -a plural instead of the -s when discussing mental institutions?
Hurshy -- the stats board says I'm missing one!
hmmm... now it seems so right to me that i'm not sure if i can imagine people saying it or not
yeah sure - I have been in many as5. But I dont have to anymore as long as I keep on taking the little blue pills.
cnan - you can't have 4 ta 4's, though, there are only 3
Sorry: ta 4 x2, ta 5x2, ta 6x1
cybernan - there are only 3 x ta4's.
LOL Dachef
ta4: spaceman's drink, buddist thing, pl, and what you get in the sun, pl
gotta go - best of luck all!
I have returned from lunch....
cybernan - i think you need to refresh/reload - there are 3 t/4 ; 1 t/5 and 1 t/6
Thank you -- kept thinking I had the spaceman's drink.
Bye Dachef ......cheers
bah, shes back
Hello Mr. Grinch :)
I thought the little blue pill was for something else ..
yep, i m da greeeench
*sings* He's a mean one! Mr. Grinch!
sorry, i had to ditch the grinch, too depressing.
(oops, didn't mean to fall ominously silent. Children and technology giving me trouble.) It isn't stealing, Hurshy! It's lovingly adopting!
well then, we show our love by taking the plurals along with the singulars - it would be cruel to separate siblings :)
No Ciss icon Capone? lol ;)
so far i have 20 words here.. how many there are ?
my 7 and 8? are you kidding me? no, don't give me a clue yet though.
no what?
But adopted children have to be given their new family's last name, to show they're part of the family! Otherwise they might feel unloved.
196 bzi
bzi - 196 today
bzi - there are 196 today
lol vi, this is getting very silly :)
hurshy, thanks ! i'm not a native, so ill never get 100%.. those 8, 9 letter words are out of my range for sure
ok, fine, give me an my7 clue
bzi, with clues, anything is possible - where are you from?
oh and I joined AngelSongs group.
Someone once said, English doesn't borrow from other languages; it follows them down dark alleys and goes through their pockets for loose vocabulary.
hurshy, poland. i think i'm gonna get the pro account to see how many are there still
What you mean?
lol vi
poland! of course, "-ski", i should have guessed
bzi - just type random combinations of letters, and put in more vowels than you're used to :)
hurshy, it's my nickname ;) not related to my last name
bziko....have you been playing long ?
can someone give me a clue for the last an5/16...and is the an6 after it...the plural?
my 7/44 the vegetative portion of a fungus (my+2/3 of battery+vowels)

my 7: my + girl in song (You're breaking my heart)
caitlyn, i started today.. i found this via ironsudoku :) i'm better at numbers
no, not pl rolin - the an6 is a real word and you have to start from the lower A, the an5 is like an aberration except without the al

Simon and Garfunkel are great! The Boxer is my favorite song, followed by Sound of Silence.
is there a first letter word count anywhere?
ae7
I like Lemon Tree, Sound of Silence, Bridge over Troubled Water.... yep all of them.
di7
lemon tree is peter paul and mary, isn't it? or did both do it?
It's funny to hear a 5 year old sing Cec****
cnan - my7 - knock the last letter off the my8

have it mitch -- was giving the clue
Checking I thought it was on our S&G -- Like PPM too.
cnan, do you not want the list or do you not know that you can get it?
Thanks, Hurshy -- something I can work on!
I always get that *look* from most of my friends because of my broad musical tastes. Listen to my iPod and you'll go from Black Sabbath to Andrea Bocelli followed up by N.W.A. then jumping back to Cat Stevens...etc etc etc
capone - the boxer is my favorite too! then i think i like homeward bound next
My bad - Meant Scarborough Fair. Lemon Tree is PPM.
TOESOCK!!! WAKE UP YOU LAZY <BEEP>!!
oh, i forgot to say, done!
I have the same thing Capone - a little of everything on my ipod.

verrry tempting...
hiya everyone!!!
yea. and I'm the type that will open the cookie jar to take one and by the end of the day it's empty. of course I'd be able to get a lot more work done......... nope, can't do it. WWHD
Hi bex!
hiya bex
cap - i'm the type that will not impulse buy a bag of cheetos, but when the hubster brings me home a bag ... well, let's just say that there's still almost half the bag left, lol - & he just bought it yesterday!
yo Bex
Yep Helen - that is me.
HK, that bag would be gone...if I liked Cheetos. *bleh*
I'm back - sorry I ran out the way I did. Got a call from the Bank....you know when the bank calls you it can't be good......
Whenever I have adults and children over, I always get cheetos. The kids just love them. A few adults do, too.
music - i'm justifying by thinking, well, they are almost all just air, right? yeah, that's the ticket, cheese dusted air!
LOL helenkeller Faerie, I hope it wasn't terrible news.
exactly helen ((((faerie)))) I hate bank phone calls.
cap -nooooo wayyyyy, what, are you - a communist!?! who doesn't love cheetos?
everytime I see a bag of Cheetos, I always think of the bit a comedian named Crazy Legs did.
the bank had been putting all my deposits for the last 6wks into my savings acct...so had to go straighten that mess out....luckly they accepted full responsibility.
cap - please don't share if it'll turn me off cheetos - hmmm, but then again - it may save what little waist i still have , lol
Oh faerie I've had that happen. Glad you got it straightened out.
(((((MusicMom))))) *shaking they almost made me cry* I have never had a check bounce before.
faeri - well, i believe you were the last one - now everyone on the planet has had a check bounce - there, closure, it's nice
lol, np HK. Although coming from him it is pretty amusing (guy has CP)
I'm glad to hear the bank took responsibility. I'm good at math, but put a dollar sign in front of the numbers, and I just melt in fear. LOL
anyone who feels really bad for me just send me your word list to faeriekay@sbcglobal.net....*wi pes eyes >_< *
You don't want mine faerie.
cap - no, now i'm curious, what's the bit about?
LOL Helen .
how about I send you what I have left over from last nights dog track visit Faerie?
I have 141 wrd left to find. Oh well, it's not a race.
I can't remember the setup, but I remember the punchline. something about him falling asleep while eating a bag of cheetos and when he woke up his <beep> was orange.
Been there. Greg never understands why I cry about that stuff. Can't help it.
Capone-would that be empty pockets *grin*
I have 53 left to find but I'm racing the clock. The kids get home in 30 minutes and then I have to teach.
well, yea. had to pay off the shy.
Music-It is very emotional and upsetting. I try very hard to keep my checkbook in balance at all times and this just blew my mind. Glad it's over....maybe they will be a little more careful from now on.
tongue?
fingers?
shirt?
other end HK
Music-you better really dive in then if your going to finish befor heading out.

cap - are you from chicago? cause of your name?
Capone-yeah and I can't think of his name for the life of me...

Cyber, Hope this helps..... What I've been doing is to: 1) bring up the list then minimize. 2) sign onto babble again. 3) restore up your list and you'll have them both on screen side by side. I use the list with the checkboxes. My biggest problem with this is: The list cannont be saved with check marks. If you close it, then reopen, boxes will be blank. But I really love using this list.....no more cutting, copying or pasting.
silly word, Lola, thanks.
Summer-That is excellent...I'll try that myself. I printed it out.

Oh Toes sounds beautiful...I have several diffrent gardens. Plus I built the arbor last summer and laid all the stepping stones...and I used the big 6" thick slab rocks and filled in between them with South Dakota red chip rocks. And I planted Honeysuckle all around it. Isn't it fun. You will have a beautiful garden...
Bye Lola and Anj.
I am not doing well on this grid at all :(
Just finished sudoku my attention is here now!!! trying to finish both puzzles!!!

TRying to do both at once sends my feeble brain into fault mode ..
Good Luck Bex - I'm not even really playing now. I'm so far behind today I could never finish...Gotta be at the airport to pick up John at 5:00.

Congrats Tigereye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi boreetos
ellocin -- we all come up with them + Babbler posts them on her profile. :)
Congrats Tigereye!!!! Hi Boreetos
ellocin, babblers request the icons. Hi boreetos 8)
yay tigereye!! thanks for the as clue too!!
No problem :) Anyone else want clues?
Hi boreetos :)
I'd have to agree, today's theme is pretty awesome. I realize its not as visual, per se, but I'd like to see a Shel Silverstein icon theme. He's one of my all time favorite poets.
Hi ellocin -there is also a themes topic in Babanon. I think Babbler has asked if anyone has any requests.
Hey macuser...how did you fare w/the tornado siren?
boreetos -- i agree! i almost posted a silverstein drawing just for my own personal enjoyment. :)
nice, evan! so we have OAR and Shel in common. :) out of curiosity, have you read any of the more adult themed work of Shel's?
Gramma - I got lucky - there were several people killed but there were only funnel clouds over me. Thanks for asking :)
seen a few of his playboy cartoons, but by the time i found out he did those too, it was too heartbreaking to wanna see that side of him...heh i actually wote my college entrance essay on him
I used to live in the midwest. When you said that the siren was going I immediately started praying for you. Right after we moved out, our whole town was desroyed by a tornado. Gone..nothing but the school and the water tower.
As yogi bearra would say "it's de ja vu all over again" what's w/the double speak?
That's an awesome subject for an essay. yeah he did a lot of stuff for playboy. But one in particular was awesome. He wrote a version of Hamlet, as told on the street. It's still in iambic pentameter if I remember right but it tells the story much more honestly. I liked it a lot.
man, i think grammas got an echo!
whoa, i got an echo too... ECHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO
Are you telling me that I'm the only one? You folks aren't getting multiples?
Good Evening Babblers clue please last ce4/5
Yeah, gramma, my aunt's house was completely destroyed several years ago in a tornado. It devastated her. I live in what is call 'tornado alley'

Okay...I'm not the only one. Phew!
I grew up in Southern Indana. Tornados are the only natural disaster I fear.

I'm with you, Deutsch... I'm fascinated by tornadoes but have a healthly respect for them

There was an emmensely loud noise from the shop just now. I'm going to go investigate. Have a great rest of the day everyone, and I'll see you all on Monday.

thanks Mary : ) an5/16 and the an6/24?????
nevermind!!!!
thanks ch1212 and mary got it now with your help
nevermind!!!!
Jen, please explain -- I thought that any points counted in the rankings, so even if I don't finish I'm still okay... and I figured the worst thing I could do is not even start a grid. From your comment, I guess I'm mistaken? Please 'clue' me in - thanks.
ch1212 - your rank is your average % of words for only the puzzles you do, times 1000, plus one point for each puzzle you've done. therefore if you only get 50% of the words, it knocks your avg down a lot, if you don't play, you just lose one point.
ch-- on one of the rankings, it takes the total number of available points for puzzles you have worked on, then takes your total points earned for those puzzles and comes up with an average... I don't understand all of Dr_G's math, but all I know is that when I start a puzzle and don't finish it, I fall in the rankings. :/
(this is the system for both the cream o' the crop and the who's hot, not the village elders, of course)
I am finished, finally. I haven't gone to the rankings for quite some time and don't exactly know how they work. But Jen and I are ranked the same .
Aha! The light dawns... I wondered why I dropped a bit the other day, when I was close to 1000. Got it. Thanks, Jen and hurshy.
YW ch! :)
yw :)

clue for the ce4/5 please this is my last word
Say Tim, if your name was Sam I would have some fun with your icon and that silly song "Sam I Am" about the old neighbor man and the lady across the street who visits him :D It's a spoof on the Green Eggs and Ham book, adult-wise, and played on NPR every so often. Your icon made me think of it.
do you know which one rosalind? There are three.
rosalind, it's your ce 5 with only one of the double vowel, and plural.
ch1212...NPR?
yes the last one thanks
NPR = National Public Radio -- specifically an early morning Saturday music show that plays an eclectic mix. You could probably find the lyrics by googling.
