What just happened? I got the warning and my cmp locked! Had to reboot and XP is sloooooooow!
MrP: for a moment, your icon was a gorilla, I am not joking--was I crazy?
I guess I wasn't the only one to have a slow upload... Evening, All...
it was the gorilla in the bikini!!!
i had to open new pages
okay good, I'm not loosing it
hey chic!!!
thanks all for the help on last puzzle
I am had trouble with mine also...working real slow
hoot -- who know's -- the site was just really wonky there -- we will probably never know
Think maybe they were a little overloaded? never saw so many at the flip!
GW-thanks for the good news earlier about your cats. We've already taken over their favorite room for the baby's room and they've taken it well. They also already do well with our friend's kids so hopefully we'll luck out just like you!
Good morning!
brb - gotta go feed my cats and let the dogs out...
Hey, Ren!
glad to know i'm not the only one with a problem on the flip
the sudoku site also took its time
kristi -- the key is to not restrict their access to the room until the baby is here and they demonstrate a need for it. Mine liked to sleep in the bassinet when the baby was not in it, but otherwise respected her need to be alone in it while sleeping. :)
d7/52
I had to reboot as well.
in 7/32
In 7/28
c-nan, both you and ren are on the grid today!
e 7/52

ca 9/60 co 9/84
:O
Your day, Hurshy!
kristi -- in all my dealings with cats, I have found that if you treat them with respect and transition them through a change gradually, they tend to react much more favorably :)
do8/50
ooh, i got the 9/84
Freckle sucks
Alright -- time for the woulf to crawl into his den and get some sleep -- I will be back later --- after I work at Lenscrafters :( ((**Hugs for all**)) G'Nite!
(*hugs*) woulfie!!! sleep well
GW-thanks. My husband is here getting all the cat advise too so we'll try some of your thoughts.
And a goodnight to you as well GW!
no qzzf1w sucks
ok, here's a n00b question: what's that "9/84," "8/50" stuff?
First letters, number of letters in the word, points score for the word
the first # is the number of letters in the word, the second number is the points the word is worth
Okay, I'm heading off too. Have a fantastic night everyone!
Nite woulf xxoo
ooh i got the co 9/84 too
the two letters before it is what the word starts with

Thanks KatieW - When do they come back is it Weds??
Greetings, steptoe!!
I have not been able to finish the last several days & my ranking is shot... boohoo!
peri - don't suppose you could clue me up with the co9/96..... I never can see those longer words.....
steptoe you will have to get all 150 words
Movieman... several of the long ca words deal with battles (somewhat old-timey). Or pirates...
jera, I meant, it's nice it accepts a guess, but then I either have to scroll down and find the word in the list, or calculate the score for the word myself. it'd be nice if the score was shown to me (for instance as a green box around the input field, like the red box for error)
Jera & Sandyloo! Hi.. Wow all 150!!! We're gonna be here all day : ) I'm gutted that there'sa 9/96 in there! steptoe
movieman, the co9/96 starts with the a5/20 - an addition to a building, then put the prefix on it and then make it past tense,
and welcome steptoe this is a great site with lots of nice people and its very educational as well as lots of fun
You should suggest that to Dr. God... he loves improving the site with player suggestions!
im sick of pirates and greek warships
I am totally stumped for the o word on the top line... any hints???
Thanx, peri..... That's four extra words you've given me.....
Jera - Oh dear! Are you? :-)
movieman, you are welcome, nice to be able to help someone
Jac - is that your dog?
Atalante - No, but he's cute, isn't he?
Jera, the O word is in the grid a lot, od+ two vowels
Jera - read my last post to you for a clue.;-)
he's gorgeous!! and now I have some cute chocolate abyssinian cats as a pic :)
afternoon guys brandyjacks a little late with the stats today isnt he so can someone tell me how many there is toi get please, thxs

Sandr. Hi. Scroll back to my post of 4:58am for today's stats.

I found the od + 2 vowels...
KatieW are you still on ????
thanxs jacula
How long is the other one?? And where is brandyjack???
Jera - of4/9.
angel's site has mr pres's stats sandr
Can't stay long. Jera - how did your sales go yesterday?
Oh yes, the King Kong one... thanks heaps!
what happened to hey nonny no and other shakespearean things!
All right considering the weather & lateness in the sale... we sold 30 boxes & nearly froze. The Starbucks manager gave the Girls free hot chocolate!
AND bought cookies! We gave her a free box of Thanksalots...
Good for you! We sold 252 boxes (our booth sales just started) at Walmart. I'm sunburned and windburned, but we only have 70 boxes of cookies left to get rid of.
Last weekend we went through Trefoils like crazy. So we went to the cookie cupboard and got more for yesterday. Now i have 31 boxes of trefoils left. UGH!
jac whats the boing boing link and what are the pics of?
Trefoils are excellent for sending overseas... also good in several recipes!
also i have to ask has anyone got a clue for the ex7/52
Sorry, I must fly... my son is ready to get out of the bath & if I'm not there he makes a horrible mess... back this afternoon after brunch!
by Jera. We're headed to worship.
i see the on7 is here for a return engagement :-)
sandyloo add a vowell to your ex 6
Hi, Une, may I please have a clue for the on7, just can't see it this morning
it was in yesterday's puzzle--means more irritating, more hardheaded
harvey im sending you a big hug it was driving me crazy and after all i am too innocent for such words! no wonder i couldnt get it! thanks
Hmmm now i am worried as i got it early on!!!
Une, I remember the word, just can't see it today, will keep looking
Une, found the on word, thanks
go up, to the right, then dip, then back to the top
Sandy - LOL. I imagine you are thinking of er7/32 nor ex7/52.
i dont know jac im too naive to work out the difference
have the ca8/50, is the ca9 related to it?
a clue for ca8/50 please?
yes periwinkle, one who does the other ca words
past tense of the ca6/21 - large gun
Just noticed that mrp has improved the checklist...... Not only can you tick the words off, but you can type them in as well!!!!!!
the ca6/21 is closely related to it if you have that u should get it easily
that mr press is a gem
norma I'm back, watching American Idol at the same time so just babbling in the breaks!
hello everyone! : )
HI, TempleOwl!!!
Are the folks back on Weds or Tues????
Unfortunately, the stats on mrp's list are for yesterday's grid..... It hasn't been updated yet...... Damn.....
the ca6/21, ca8/50, and ca9/60 are so simple as to be deceptive :) i was looking for something really complex!
i have the 8/50. is the 9/60 relaated?
Hiya, temple....
finally found that ca9/60 ( secret is the double vowel near the end) that had me stumped for a long time
movie i have press's list for today ????
I think it is late Tues as they flew out about 10.30 am when they went. Hotel is fantastic but haven't heard since.
Far- yes it is related see my last clue
AH!!! :) got it! ;D
the 9/60 is responsible for the fate of the 8/50
Katie did you get a Gubbins yet ????
temple owl you cat has such a funny face is it yours ! he looks like he's trying to get the boggle grid solved
half way done, time for a break, be back later

found a nice co9/84 too.
:(
farruska ca6/21 and ca9/60 are relative
Hi all - what's the grid like today? 150 doesn't sound challenging but are there hidden horrors? Haven't completed the last 3 grids due to lack of time.
i got the 9/60!!!!!
hi snowy! : ) just started- an awful lot of c's to find!
:( i must be mispelling it :(
snowyowl, i've found it to be interesting and challenging. there are 8's and 9's (and maybe worse)
gratz, jgodsey
snowy ive never yet completed a grid but always have fun trying
thought I'd hav a go without the list today but will probably crumble soon! the 8s and 9s will be a challenge as I rarely see past the nose on my face -but here goes!!!! Nice to see lots of new players here - welcome to the newest drug of choice!!!! LOL
snowy: two of them are c's and there are clues on t is page - last
i always loved the game with the dice, but i'm enjoying this one more because i can keep coming back to it. the egg-timer drove me nuts with the other version
hi, how does this work, I just keep giving words until the end of the day?
roy, keep giving words until the grid changes. which is at 0:00hrs CST in the U.S.
I assume the chat log shows CST? And what's a good score to aim for?
150 words roytang
thanks
chat log is showin in my local time (PST) for me, and score... as much as you can. varies from grid to grid
thanks TO - will tackle them when I'm feeling stronger! We have the 3 ernighting littlies until after 3 - will have more time to battle with them then
I found the co9/96 (with a little help from the wife)!
9/96? i'll hafta go look for that one... :)
what does "co9/96" mean?
starts with "co" has 9 characters and worth 96 points

Thanks, Uneaixoise. I remember those books!
i used to wait with bated breath for each new one to be available at our little local bookstore!
bex, these are today's stats: http://www.writely.com/Doc.a spx?id=bccpk6gfhxhw4
Bex - go to AngelSong's page at right, click on Links and then on mrpresient's stats.
Being in the UK, we got them after you!
on angel'spage they are yesterdays stats and that link just given doesnt work:(
bex - I had that problem, too...... In the end I had to get FMitch to post me the stats.....

just realised - f*****kae is in the grid today :D
Morning, everyone! Any clues on the last 2 RE's (after the re4 meaning underwater coral neighborhood)?
Charm - re5 is the adjective describing the underwater coral neighborhood... :D
the re 7 is re+en5/12
hello...anyone got a clue for the of 4/9 pls?
rolin - of4 sounds like French for 'familiar with'... or Oil of Of**...
Sherb - aaarrrggghhh. And thanks, Snowy. Some mornings, the little grey cells just don't fire away!
OF4/9 - O + actress F** Dunaway.
thx...and ya know what...i already had it...*sigh*...im a worry sometimes..lol
I'm a little clueless here... where are you guys finding out that there are of4/9's or whatever in today's puzzle?
yw Charm - don't I know the feeling! LOL
re f*****, sherb, i know--and i immediately looked to see if she was babbling . . . guess she'll get pretty excited later today! :-)
Jacula mentioned Good Experience Games, the recent friend of Babble. Have been there and found it interesting; I recommend Grow, a very odd, yet fascinating little game.
she was on here before and was happy she had been remembered
Waitak We find words in the grid and then when we get stuck ask for clues giving the 1st 2 letters of the word, the number of letters in the word and the tile value.
Waitak - on the right hand side of the page , under Friends of Babble is Angelsongs Babble page- click there and then on links. One of the headings there is mrps stats -the two letter list is there
Got it, thank you!
yw Waitak
bex, did you get the two-letter list?
got the co9 :D
Hmm. Seems to me that MRP's list plus a shell and /usr/share/dict/words could make pretty short work of a puzzle...
Waitak - sure but then where is the point or the fun of doing it?
Agreed! Lots more fun doing it "by hand".
LOL
morning all. can someone help me with a ca8? Have the one related to the large weapon.
But that wouldn't be any fun, Waitak. Brandyjack (posts stats on Babs Anon) and mrpres don't look at the word lists their programs produce. At least I;m pretty sure....(kidding)
Good morning, I know there are 3 8's, I only have the ca does anyone know what the other two are?
Hi Angel , haven't got anything over a 6 yet, sorry.
CA8 - past tense of the ca4 meaning region/state (as in Switzerland).
Angelsong, expand the word that means regions of Switzerland.
Sorry - past tense of the CA6 (not ca4).
losing the will to live here...can someone help me with the last re7 pls?
re + what actors do
rolin re + what actors do (again and again)
rolin - re+ en5/12
Your wonderful page has been a lifesaver today, Angelsong. Thanks again for creating it. It's so very good.

the 8' and 9's: CA8/50: Used a large weapon that makes a big sound. Think of small town squares with civil war CA6's. CA9/60: One who uses the above large weapon CO9/96: CO + past tense of where Anne Frank and her family lived; this is an extension of the CO7/52. Also related to the An7/52, which is also a past tense. CO8/60 One upon whom an honor is bestowed CO9/84: Think of a teacher and parent who meet regarding a child's progress in school, past tense.
i THOUGHT it was only bc i was so tired last night, but the dunce-ness still prevails now
I feel that way today too, hurshy.
Charm, no I have 6 words with 7 letters and looking for the other 7 just wanted a jump start with what the first two letters were of the rest.
Perhaps we are a bit babbled out.
thanks angel!!! that still leaves one 8, though.
ok i downloaded it now what do i do>?>
which i believe bex mentioned was a ca
did you install it? i mean, double click on it and it will install, if you haven't
Bless you Angel.
and at some point it should ask you to pick a username and password and stuff, and then you can sign in
i have picked a name but i cant find out where u sign in
just open the program
second CA 8/50: Past tense; extend the CA6/21 that means a state or region, as in Switzerland. (I just found this one myself...)
angel, mwah!!
mab, you're welcome :)
how many have you got left, hursh?
33
30!
Marc, did you go to Angel Song's Babble Page listed at the right? You can get the two-letter list there under links, and then mrpresident's stats.
but, lol, i just gave up and got the list
I think I'm about to do the same!
that resource page is sure handy, it seems.
i have just tried to send you something and it says your unavailable. are you signed in?
angel igot no where with these cO8/60 One upon whom an honor is bestowed CO9/84: Think of a teacher and parent who meet regarding a child's progress in school, past tense are they built upon short words?
i just emailed you bex, see if that helps
It truly is Angel, and especially helpful with all the new babblers we've seen this weekend.

ty
pask, on 7/28 was in yesterdays grid
he6/27 - adj. - "Characterized by intense activity, confusion, or haste."
My icons are discussing chocolate - milk v. dark.
mab, I thought it looked serious...now I understand 8)
so is todays puzzle i should dive into, or is it a beastie??
gramma didnt get to do yesterdays now my last one
ac5,12- hint anyoone?
I'm considering whether I should get the pro account or not.
dive in, it's not too bad
evandine, it's quite lovely...don't be afraid, my pretty...hahahahahahaha
ac5/12 - a protein found in muscle. ac + element SN.
gramma, please refresh my poor memory (on 7)
not too beatie -- lots of longish words, but words one's heard before.
ty
Cont, I think it was worth it! makes it alot easier to narrow down those last few words!
Granted, that relies on my remembering this thing exists in the future, and my ability to find time to play it. So it's a thing of cost-effectiveness.
ac 5/12 thinkof the commercial "tough ***** tin*****" (I think it's an athlete's foot cream)
Evanadine - once you find the trends, it's not too hard. Some stupidly obvious ones I missed, though!
cybernan, go wash your face 1st or I may get on***** than I am already. You usually spell it or******

gramma - It's a Brit thing...... A combination of chocolate and coconut......oh yeah!!!!!
ok, clues please for: ca5,16 ca5,12 ca5,12 that come after the 6/21 that is immediately after the CA9...help?
Contestant: with all the resources available, pro status affords only a little extra help. Nevertheless, it's inexpensive, and it's fun to play with one's icons. An icon also makes one more visible when asking for clues.
movieman, chocolate and coconut were made for each other, imho :)
ca5/12 birchbark ca*** . . . . water vehicle
movieman, I'm drooling all over my computer. Headlines will read " Old woman found electrocuted..." family says "she was licking her computer screen"
also ca5/12 Pachelbel's Ca***
5-16 think of scotsman
Movieman: we have Bounty bars here as well, however coconut is quite controversial. (semi-kidding)
Well, I'm off like a brides nightie...see ya on the flip ^_^
bye, gramma!
Bye gramma. Don't lick the screen anymore. Such an undignified way to go.
any clues on the co 9/84?
I have to say though, the Bounty ice cream bars are even nicer.......
i love me some bounty bard...but ive never had the ice cream ones!!
guigrrl related to co6/30. when you are doing co6/30 you become a co9
he 7/52 is killing me... i have all the other he's (no puns, please!)
TY!
ca6/21 following the ca9?
I don't have it either grigs, but do tell what your icon depicts, I can't make it out.
i don't have it either . . .
ca 6/21: not able --- I ca_____ do that.
George Washington: I ca**** tell a lie . . .
I sitll can't get the co 6/30, a little clue would be great
woops.. need to change that icon. it's a friend of mine in armor getting ready to hit someone with a stick.
ac 7?
ac5 + opposite of off
ac5 + 2 letter word meaning atop
Thank you Grigs and Une
nat- it means to discuss, and starts with the opposite of "pro"
Good clue, Grigs, na5/12 clue please?
mary - good question :))
thanks grigs, I sure wasn't seeing that one
grigs still don't see it :(
Hi guys- grumbling- whats wrong with Incan?
ee 6?
how many words are there?
na5 - daily babysitter or bad tv show with fran drescher
mary- na*** drew, -sometimes vowel, +second vowel.
na5 short for Ronald Reagan's widow's first name.
ee6 is weird, spooky, strange
proper noun, Ludo.
ee 6 is more ee5.
Thanx all, finally got the na5/12
150 words; see Angelsong's Babble Page -- link at right -- for first two-letter list.

I'm only missing some of the co's :( argh
atalante - indians (from india) use the base to draw cool designs on hands and feet - produces a reddish-brown to red color on hair.
72TO yes, darn it, mehndi was the word i couldn't think of just now, god BLESS you!
oh DUH! I've got that one *facepalm* I'm missing the he7,52!!

i have the 7 52
what kind of a wacko word is that?!?!?!
ty norma
OK, all you yankees - the he7/52 is a curse, plus the SHORTEST of the Great Lakes, swap the last two letters.
he7 = take yr he5/10 and add a past tense ending.
thats a WORD??
Thanx Ferruska
he 7/52 clue: he5/22 plus two vowels!
ata- dictionary.com agrees with us. anybody got a definition? that word su**ed.
Atalante - this is babble land after all :)
I tried Hurshy not very good at clues I am still learning

one left and it will be the first time I have finished this week - help someone na2/12
first time here, what kinds of points are you guys/gals looking at?
now I'm determined to find out what it means
Daytona.... hello
daytona....................... .
norma - it's just like the 5/14 but use the second vowel instead of teh sometimes one.
norma - like a nickname of a woman's name (mrs. reagan for instance, or amateur sleuth ms. drew)
woops. my bad. the leter efore that should be second consonant.
how many words today?
the he7/52 means what it sounds like it means. just an obscure word for witchcraft, based on Pennsylvania German
norma a medieval weapon but replace the first letter with a n
150
150
Thank you!!
chopped, the points don't matter as much just find all the words you can in 24 hrs....

thanks chic and hi too all recently joined...afriad i'll be leaving soon for the library
having trouble with the first and last fa6's
fa6 - like tinkerbell, spelled the fun way fa6 - like the ____ of the opera
no 7 and/or no6, please?
well, the FIRST fa is incontrovertible evidence.
ok, my eyes and mind are going, clearly.. missed teh 6 in that statement. i'm a dork...
sheesh, how about a little more subtlety! That was too easy. I'd have said, Flying F4, and Spencer's Queen.
sorry, spellacked - sometimes it's hard to know bc we have some kids who babble, and those would be too hard for them, and then we have some smart people... i prefer some subtlety myself, so i will remember you in future
no6: What I'd be saying if I said I didn't know the answer
I'm back and I'm all done. 150 words, 2680 points. Got to go as other half wants the pc. Happy Babbling!
Hi guys! : )
Can someone point me in the right direction for ac7/32? Just a small hint, please.
Hurshey loved the 2nd fa clue - prob wouldn't have found that w/o it :)
Hi & 'bye, Lola.x
hey lola! spellacked, why exactly would you say that if you didn't know the answer? i mean, i got the word, but i am puzzled.
yay jacs!!! see you later...beautiful dog, BTW
spellacked - builds on ac5
took a babble-break to play sudoku, but i beat todays puzzle pretty quickly with no guesses needed!! back to babbling!!
Hey Lola!
oh, spellacked, you must have been talking about the no7!
hola lola! *scratches head* we seem to be evenly divided along the lines of pets and candy - what's the theme?
whoops, the clue I gave for no6 should have been for no7. sorry. I need no6 too.
i thought it was chocolate. pets on the 28th?
according to babblers profile, todays theme is chocolate
no6 - person who doesn't like someone/something
then....my cat is watching me eat chocolate and begging for some!
temple, it's chocolate...but please don't take that kitty away!!! : )
Hey all... I have about half an hour to play before we have to go out & deliver Cookies!
hey jera!
hi jera : )
jera: any lemon pastry cremes?
Oh yes, TO... I have a whole case of those... not many orders, but my son loves them fro breakfast!
Do you get the ones coated with chocolate over there, Jera? --- they're yummy.
new icon!
hurshy -- I just tried every 2-letter combo after ac5, it wasn't one I recognized, and the definition has nothing to do with ac5 either (different field of science)
Ahhhh - is that in honour of Hurshey, Angel?
the definition hasn't, but the formation of the word does.
Several of them are coated with chocolate... good stuff! Best seller again this year are Thin Mints & Samoas/Carmel DeLites
Ooooooo -- we don't get the caramel delites!
Seriously, if anybody wants to order some, I do ship priority mail, free if you buy 6 or more boxes!
Samoas = Carmel DeLites, except Samoas have slightly darker chocolate
well, i wasn't implying that they were actually related :)
hi all ! :D how's the grid? friendly? beastly? contemplating playing after dinner.... ; )
jer: better organize that babblers east coast convention soon! when's cookie money due? LOL
Already bought some from the neighbour's daughter. (thin mints)
Greetings, Babbler!
LOL -- as usual, the first 100 weren't bad, Babbler.
((((babs))))
I have a cse of Thin Mints in the freezer, labeled MOM'S COOKIES in big red caps...
LOL...hadn't thought of Hurshy....but I like it. I love kisses and I like to put them in the freezer. Lovely on a hot day!
*basks*
Hi babs! ((x)) Just read your mail, thank you : )
Time for a break -- back later :)
y/w Lo ! : ) ((x)) haven't had my slab of chocolate swiss roll yet. Saving it for after dinner, lol !! :D
Sounds yummy! : )
Hi Jera, lola, Babbler! My icons are discussing chocolate and cats v dogs. Whatever the theme, I've got it covered.
grr last 16, getting tough. re7/32 is my current challenge
hi mab, lol! : D
hi mab : ) lol !
spellacked - what people do with the civil war
Angelsong I havnt had a chance to thank you for your babble page..great job!!!!!!!!

Oooh, MrP's tick box list now has places to fill in the words you've got...fab! : )
later babs : )
That's good news, Lola... I was always getting confused as to which word I had, especially when there are multiples of same description...
down to the last ten... can't believe there's still two 4s in there!
jera, I know. I would also forget which words were either side of the one I was looking for and would have to scroll back down to check. This is great! : )
bye babs! bye all! see you later!
Bye Temple
Thank ye one and all for your company- I've not been posting much but it's been fun. AngelS, MrP, thankyou for making it possible. 150 words 5.18 2680 I feel utterly wrecked ;-)

n6/27? Is it another non..., or not... or something else?
bye, jera! evaN - two realte to very big guns *holds out macaroon*
evanadine - see angel's post at 10:18
Angelsong: he6/24 is past tense of an above one that's a noun, 6/36 is a chemical
he 6/24, think past tense of the person who inherits the crown when the king dies
spellacked - it's a no6/27 but I dont ahve it yet so can't give a further clue
spellacked - yes - didn't you see my clue for you before?
This computer is driving me nuts!! I keep losing the internet and then having to refresh every couple of minutes aaaaaaaaaargh
need words know
how do you know that you're done? (not that I'm even close!)
there are 150 words today, so when you reach that, you're done
ndr, alas, there are no fireworks. You just find out how many words there are (150 today) and when you've got that many, you're done.
haha im no where near 150
evaN - two 8's and 2 9's are in the c's - th meeting ones and the big gun ones
Hmm... I must be dense.... how do you know there are 150?
there are often player-provided fireworks though if you announce that you're done :)
Hi everyone : )
even with the clues for the nines I am having trouble putting the last few letters on them
Either ask, or go to Babbler's Anonymous, link under Friends of Babble to the right.
Hi anj...
Hey babe (((xx))) : )
oo Anj, you're beautiful today.
hey vi, anj! : )
good morning.
finally got the gun one for the 9
NO6/27: If you don't care for a singer, you could be described as a NO----.

Morning/afternoon/evenig casperera

That no6/27 clue has zipped over my head : /
Cheers lola

Another ca8 Eva : )

Eva, change the 4th letter : ) Thanks Lo : )
evan extend your ca6/21
ca8/50, to divide into small parts or districts, past tense : )

(districts as in Switzerland)
sis, of course! You okay? Anything in particular?
thanks all -- got the 8s and 9s!
White wine will be fine, but lots of it please, and no crap time right now.

Aww! (((sis))) Want to talk about it? *pours large glass of chilled white wine for FMitch*
yay evan! then you have one more than me... goodbye all! BBL to finish! thanks for the clues!

still 70 words to go -- 8 of which are 7s!!
Bye Temple......bye all catch you tomorrow have fun!!LOL
Cheers lola,
'bye caitlyn : )
last he6?
last he6 is sort of a single curse
ok, last two words: on7/28 and on5/12 -- I'm at my wit's end
got on5/12, now just need on7/28
on7/28 was in yesterday's puzzle--more difficult, more tedious, more irritating
on7/28 - an alternate spelling, normally it would be orn--
a clue for the na5 please but not the one that watches the kids
na5 Miss Drew, girl sleuth--change last letter
Thanks - I feel like a moron now, lol
what does it mean to bestow honor its a co 9
don't feel bad--often it's the most obvious ones that are the hardest! :-)
Woohoo! I'm 1/3 of the way there! </sarcasm>
hello babblers - uh oh, i see chocolate - now i must assess level of willpower before i begin - hmmmmmm
give in, helen...
resistance is futile
hi hellen : )
who wants a slab of chocolate swiss roll ?
: )
I can't get the o's fromthe top o for anything, any clues??
: D
lol bab - gee, is that how 7 got her figure, by NOT resisting?
*cuts a fat slab of chocolate swiss roll, adds a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream, leans over and puts it on Lola's desk*
gaah! I've tried every on7/28 variation I can think of, still not getting it. One stinkin word! All 1-value letters. How many of those are n's?
*cuts a fat slab of chocolate swiss roll, adds a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream, leans over and puts it on Anj's desk*
thank you mommy : )
nat, the of4 ends in a woman's name, the od4 sounds like a thought : )
anytime, Our Kid ; D
Ooo, thanks babs! : )
regrettably, both the od and of words are pretty obscure: one is a theater, the other is white
spell- think of the first number + hook letter + 3rd vowel + 2nd vowel + hook letter
Finding Nemo... : D ...isn't an Enable word } /
y/w Lo !! ooh, are there any stats for today? I must watch loads of tv and don't want to noodle too much, lol!! New series of Everybody Hates Chris. ; )
One, spellacked? hmmm. I'd work with that. hint hint.
Find a happy place babe! Find a happy place! : D
thanks a bunch lola, I would have never gotten either of those
You're welcome nat. They are regular babble words, you'll find them next time! ; )
I love Mr Presidents stats list with the check boxes. Is there a way I can have that list on the monitor while I am playing the game.
got on7, but it's not from yesterday, it's from Friday. Yup, a cheat, but that word's not even in dictionary.com. It's listed in 'valid word dictionaries' but can't find a valid definition.
you could open two windows and have the two side by side?
peri, right click on the link and it will give you the option to open it in a new window : )
Hey Lola - can I have yr email address?
or if you're on a mac, hold down apple key and click
okay I will try that, btw are there any stats posted for todays puzzle?
sis, I've put it in my profile.
yes, Peri, MrP's original stats list...on the resource page under Links
got it thanks sis.
he 6/27? It must be obvious because nobody else has asked for it!
I'm baaaa-aaack!!
hey jera! : )
Not too obvious, I hope, harpjane, as I don't have it!
That was somewhat of a waste of time... only one person was at home...
you've added to your profile, Lo ! : D
harp, it means busy, manic...ie things are he*** around here! : )
he 6/27 - busy, lots going on, crazy schedule
since the theme for today appears to be chocolate, I am now stuffing my face with dark chocolate covered pretzels from Trader Joes. I am willing to share :)
...and watch where you put that nose, it's cold! : D
Trader Joes chocolate covered coffee beans... *drools* I get them from American friends.
thanks Angelsong, will check that out
Oooh! Trader Joe's! How I miss TJ's!!!
*looks at everyone eating chocolate covered pretzels* *wonders what they taste like* *wants one* : D
you guys have friends? that's cheating... :)
Is there a tickbox list for today's puzzle??
ooo, thanks peri! *lola nibbles on a chocolate covered pretzel* : )
babs, I have! : D
*opens a box of Thin Mints & offers it around*
nice? they sound nice. : D
TimTam anyone?
anyone have a clue for the co 9/96?
co7/36?
mmm, mint thins, thanks jera! *lola nibbles on a mint thin* : )
lola, they are mini pretzels, so please have another. They also come covered in milk chocolate but dark chocolate is my favorite. I will eat almost anything if it is covered in dark chocolate :)
ktf, can I have one to have with my cup of tea later? wanna try that trick. ; D
What's this Mr. P's list? The B.A. stats page seems to be for yesterday's puzzle...
co9/96: co + think of how Anne Frank and family lived...past tense.
You've got to suck hot chocolate through them. I have heard that they're nice with chai, though. Num. Now I want a TimTam. But I have started making pancakes...
ooo, thanks peri! *lola takes another choc covered pretzel* : )
Angelsong's Babble Page link to the right, under Friends of Babble...click Links, then click MrP's stats list.
I cannot see the ac5 or ac7 help please
I'll make hot chocolate then!! lol! : D
Oh, awesome, thanks!
peri, I have the ac5, ac plus what you keep biscuits in : )
Well worth it, Babs. *grin* Anyone tried the Dark Chocolate and Chilli variety? Or do they just have those in Aus?
what is a TimTam?? : )
Anj? Are you still there babe? : /
thanks, lola, I am really pigging out with these choc covered pretzels. I already had a lot of guacamole with salsa and tortilla chips from Trader Joes. I love Trader Joes.
Yup, just been talking to the folks : )
*falls off chair* What's a Timtam? Only the greatest chocolate biscuit ever created! ...aside from Tortina's.
The tickbox stat list is only for 1089, true? or am I missing something
is the ac7 related to the ac5?
never heard of a tim tam myself
me either... but they sound yummy!
OK, this is weird. I typed in an ac7, and it shows up on my list, with no score associated.
ac7 - technically unrelated, but starts the same, just add opp. of off.
peri, that's okay, it's sunday night. Sunday night is pig-out night! ; ) What time will they be there tomorrow Anj? Hope you said hi for me! : )
ktf, where are you from? : )
Should be here about 1pm ish : )
Vicuna, thanks so much. Would you like a choc covered pretzel?
hi nut! : )
did you chat to them about friday? : )
Tim Tams! OMG! They are divine! Especially the double chocolate ones!
Lola, from Melbourne, but recently moved to Sweden.
I certainly never say no to chocolate! Thanks!

Lola - we can get them in Tescos
Indeed. Australian made. Just like Vegemite. I have my own personal supply of that.
later nat : )
Matkins, it's where they lived. If you have the an5/20, that the thing to add co to.
woot, cheers
(Then make it past tense, for the 9.)
ata, I'll have a look for them next time I'm there : )
I need to get my hands on some Vegemite for ANZAC Day...
its worth doing - they are absolutely delicious. like our Penguins but about twice as thick and MUCH more chocolatey
ata, do you recognise my icon? : )
hey ata, those cute cats siblings?
Hi Angel - co7/36 is co+en5/12
The Penguin/TimTam debate rages on...
The only Penguins I know of are mints with caffeine in them... also come in choc mint & cinnamon
I've tried both. TimTams are better.
only penguins i know of are pittsburgh
having a tough time with the A words- ae5 and ae6 please. Also an5/12 and an6/21
hey hey nutty buddy!!!!
rennnnnniiiiiieeeeeeeee * tackle ren with a nut hug *
ae5 and 6 were in the grid yesterday (or recently). Eagles nest and then pretend it's an adj and make it more so.
I don't know evanonut - they are just my contribution to chocolate day - they are chocolate abyssinians! And yes, Lola - mmmmmm! And there is no TT / Penguin debate - TT's win hands down!
Will be back after dinner and new Chris Rock show. : ) In the meantime, guys, it's time to start thinking about more themes! Have a think and tell me your ideas when I get back. : D
Vicuna, thanks, for some reason I have trouble seeing any word that starts with ae
please don't throw me in the chocolate box...please don't throw me in the chocoalte box...
ata, they were one of my dads favourites : ) later babs : )
renfield, what about into a bag of dark chocolate covered pretzels?
no way ren, but i gotta be careful, chocolate covered nuts are a big thing i hear. * looks out for chocolate dippers *
I agree, peri. In fact, vowels in general are usually invisible to me!

37 words. I suck. *grin*
renfield, please help yourself *hands bag of choc covered pretzels to renfield*

Has anyone tried the new dark Hersheys with blueberries, cranberries and almonds? Yum!
Godiva dark chocolate truffles are my favorite thing in the whole world. Got a box of dark chocolates from Godiva for my birthday recently. Some of them were truffles. I was in heaven!!!
Woo! Well done matkins! *hands matkins glass of babble champers for going pro* : )
Ok, I give up for now.... this n00b's gotta pace herself!
co5/24?
Angel, don't have that one yet
ex 6/36 ? not the one related to ex7, unless they're all related ;)
co5/24 - led a crew boat (use the letter with the appropriate point value)
co 5/24: what the person in the back of the racing shell that calls "dip, dip" did.
co 7/52?
ex 6 - google: A sequence of DNA that codes information for protein synthesis that is transcribed to messenger RNA
cyber, drop the last two letters from the co9 : )

good evening everyone : )
Got em!

Hi - Happy Chocolate Sunday everyone :)
thanks une! : )
Hey faerie!!!
is the x word a "normal" one?
hey, f*****kae--did you see your name in the puzzle?!
leslieann -- its an element :)
yes, the x is in the periodic table
thanks... good thing i have the bf sitting next to me!
do you have to submit your answers at the end of the day or does it get sent automatically when the puzzle ends?
Hi Une, Temple, Smith, Haz, Jera, Babbler, Vican, and Evan and anyone that I may have missed and to all the New Comers as well. There are so many people here...It's because of the chocolate right (*^_^*)
an6/21...any clues?
it is sent automatically... but you have to play three times before your name will be listed in the rankings
an5/12 + the second vowel
Une - well yes I did, can you believe I would be in the grid on our Chocolate Day...LOL *lickes choco from fingers*
Hi, fa****kae!!!
Rather appropriate, f*****!
{{{{Angel}}}} Hi Hon how are you?
thanks
So, if a ferrier fers, than wouldn't the past tense be "ferred"? (Just kidding)
doing great, Kae...finished the grid...and have delivered not just one but two resource pages for Babblers who requested htem.
rrrryyyannn-----its feriieieireikaeeie today *teehee* I see some really big words in here.
an 5/12= an + co 4/5
Thanks again, Baron!
Angel - right one Lady. You are working your tushiey *grin* off. Remember to take time for you. That is also important.
thanks Uneaixoise and BaronPuffPants
I only have 39 words but I just sat down less than 10 mins ago. I hate "re" words...not two days in a row :( I better dig in.
Kae, designing the pages IS how I take time fgr myself. It's relaxing, and a lot of fun, plus I learn new skills at the same time.
Matkin - Hi, glad to have you with us. Another addict I take it * _ *
i only have 44 words and ive been playing for over 2 hours now!
Done! See you at the flip . . . maybe the embargo on the letter "s" will be removed! :-)
getting there, we're actually to ppl on the same account but on different computers, makes it fun
congrats, unea!
Yay, une!! Congrats!
btw thx 4 the warm welcome :-)
Angel - then thats fantastic. I'd like to put my own page togather sometime, maybe, not sure, but it's not a top priority right now.
it gets easier the more you play, wizzie... have you found any of the stat pages yet?
Une - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

faerie: all of the schoolwork i did wednesday is gone into cyber space....must recreate it tonight
Bye Temple. Feel better soon:)
Faerie - sorry I didn't say hello earlier - I was pretty immersed in the grid. I've finished now, though...
haz - you look like you are the champion of something today?
na 5/12 is like the widow Reagan's first name with a vowel at the end
Temple - Oh Nooooooooooo good luck...I would help you if I could Hon...Sorry. No wonder you have a head ache. Probably a stomach ache also.....
Ireland won the Triple Crown rugby championship yesterday, beating the English at their home ground. Still celebrating!
tyvm, Haz!
that's your team then? congrats!!
Congratulations Haz..*~*~*~boom*~*~*~*
rugby kicks major butt!
I got the co 9/96 with no clue....yeah for me..
Are you on speed?
but now I need the 7/36 following it. please :)
co 7 - add en5/12 - to put into operation together
need help with any of the x's
oh you're talking to a person haz? i thought someone's comments offended you and you were asking if they were on speed
ROFL - I wish I was...my butt wouldn't be draging the floor right now if I were doing speed...lol
jgodsey, only one... it is in the periodic table of elements
No - it was the fact that faerie had got the 9 so quickly. She usually jokes that she does the grid at a very gradual pace!
No good Haz - I always start at the top and work my way down the list I'm just starting the co words. I don't have the e's yet.
I can't believe it... can't find one of the ne4/5's... I swear I've tried everything twice... I have the required one... sheesh...
Haz said a wooo-ooord...haz said a wooo-ooord...
oh is that a girl scout icon jera? very cute.
Leslie - LOL - Haz does talk herself alot.
en5 - en plus a word meaning to behave in a certain way, especially on stage.
*wonders, should I have changed my name today?*
jera ne4/5 like if you sit in front of your computer all day you might be considered a ne__
Haz - thanks - got it - your a good clue giverer.
Where do you people get the list with the second letter of the words?
Glad you got it!
Hi everyone was having trouble getting in earlier...site seems to be ok now! ????????? : )
zamm, several places have them... you could go to the babblers anonymous link at right, then click general, then click stats
I have that one as well, djget... I need either the first or second one...
Zamm - you can either go to Babbler's Anonymous (link under friends of Babble on the right), click on general, then stats, or go to Angelsong's babble page, again under friends of babble, click on links, then MrP's stats list.
I'm being beeped on my Nexel phone...should I answer it? It's my neighbor calling me. He has been chipping wood all day for me. But he drives me crazy. I paid him and yet he has called me like 8 or 9 times today to ask for silly stuff.
Well, I'm done and I've got to cede the computer to the kid... Bye everybody!
jera bright buzzing lights
There's another ne 4/5 which rhymes with cream
jera one is an indian tree? it's all down in the lower righthand corner.
Good Night Smithy :)
congrats smithchick!

Monkey-typed after trying the little orange fish... thanks all who tried to help me (I know it's hard sometimes)! Whoo-hoo!! * happy dance of doneness*

Oh, sorry, Leslie-An... yes, that's a Girl Scout circle... Juniors to be precise, the level I lead...
I'm back. Neighbor wanted to come over and vist. I said no.
This is the first puzzle I've finished in 4 days... been very busy & haven't managed to return after a break...
{{{fa6/27}}}
Jera CONGRATS *%*%*%*boom*%*%*%*
Thank you guys, babblers anon still has yesterday's game, didn't know the other page.
I finished while you were gone, FK...
Oh, you noticed, thank you!
zamm, click on angelsong's babbler page, then links, then mr. p's stats
Yes Jera - I noticed. So really, how bad is it?
could someone give me a clue for the of 4/9? I can't figure it out to save my life. Thank you.
co 5,24????
sheila, of + first two letters of a word meaning "yes" (like if you are voting)
what do people mean by 4/9 or 5/6 and such i am confused
Thank you, I would never have done that word. Thank you very much.
4/9 is a four letter word worth 9 points
what does the number system mean?
anyone have a clue for co 5,24??
not yet, ima... but working on it :)
ok, it is co + an unusual letter + past tense
ty!
Ok - everyone on the right hand side of the page click on AngelSong's Babble Page and scroll down to "Rules of the Game" and then on the left under links click on MrP's stat list and that will give you the 2 letter word list. Hope that helps.
I just wanted to say thanks to all the regulars for being patient with us newbies. All this repetition has to be a little irritating, but y'all are being very gracious.
there are lots of newbies today. are you all coming from the same blog or something?
yes, LeslieAnn -- we hail from the mighty Boing Boing
from boingboing!
another newbie checking in...
any clues for ex7/52? I have all the other ex's. Is this one related to any of them?
what's on that site?
boingboing
Yes...boing boing
I'm new today, I came from the sudoku site by way of Signal vs. Noise, but I've been mostly watching for clues and following links
Squalorholla - Thanks, Isn't LeslieAnn giving great clues?
a directory of wonderful things
i feel like i'm in a foriegn land!
yup, faerie, she's helping me immensely... I have 80, not bad for a n00b I think :)
hi all, does anyone know how many words there are?
WELCOME to all the newbies :)
Just made a thousand, Boing Boing! Thanks to the elders
elders, that sounds so o-l-d
for those who do not know, Boing Boing is wonderful and amazing ... the link is on the right, second from the top
143 words today
Ah, much better-looking with an icon :)
fa**** is right, i do give excellent clues ;) although i don't have the ex that surreal is looking for
150 words today
well it's at the top of one of the ladders...
checking out boing boing
any clues on ex7/52?
oh 150 words today...lol
ex 7/52 is ex 6/36 + a vowel
eps - don't have that the ex sorry.
oops, got ex7/52...never mind! :)
skizzy, just go pro? congrats.
Didn't take me long to get hooked, and i wanted that stats page
well, then out with a clue, surreal!
Skizzy - Welcome to the clan :)
mmmmmmmmm.........PBJ sammich.......
Yayayayay! Done with homework! :o)
fa**** and LeslieAnne, ty,ty...i am done. Yipee!
finally got halfway - 75 words complete
I dunno how long I'll last -- games like this are major drains on my workday, so come monday i might end up deleting my profile
ex7/52 is ex6/36 + a vowel (baron said that before this, too) :)
some of these words are a little dubious, eh? one of the co4,5s is only listed as a prefix in the complete OED.. anyone know the source dictionary that babble uses?
congrats lgorms!
I've been wondering about that myself bigfarfig
enable dictionary, i believe, and yes, some of them are dubious
Igroms - *~*~*~*BOOM*~*~*~* *fireworks for Igroms* CONGRATULATIONS !!!
cheers faeriekae, i started so late tonight, thought i would check the second letter amd couldn't find it on babblers anon tonight, how long has it been on this site
Igorms (I miss spelled your name-sorry) Igorms *~*~*~*~*BOOM*~*~*~*~* CONGRATULATIONS IGORMS
150 words right? Cuz I've got 139 but can only find 7 I've yet to figure out. Gonna double check the stats, i guess. Not bad for a newbie, though. First day of trying!
hello everyone can someone give me a clue for the an 5/12 the first one pls
that's great, knutmeg! when you find out which ones you need, let us know
Scatty-Babblers Anon - has been around for quite a while but Angel's Page has only been up for a week or so. I love it. She had it very easy for newbes and also has the 2 letter list with a tick boxes.
sheryl, an + a three-letter word for prisoner (as in ex-***)
ty leslie being working on that and getting nowhere
It's going to take us a while to get used to all of these new names, but welcome anyway. Just read the rules, and hopefully get youselves a profile, so we can see where you are all from
need help with no4/4 can anyone help? we have the one that means nothing
Hi Everyone, back for one last time tonight.
change the last vowel on that one to another vowel, matkins
Hi Peri :)
How is this going to scale?
thanks leslie
for no 4/4 try different vowel at the end
something tells me there will be some growing pains as people start flooding in
Skizzy-you could be right..lol
Skizzy-All the regular Babblers are wonderful people and eveyone seems to get along great. It is a very friendly atmosphire.
thanks baron puff aswell
I'm stuck on on4/5, any clues?
f****, i was referring to the server load, too -- the site will probably need mirrors
od 4/5 is sort of a variant of "inspiration", like that's a great "----".
one time less than twice, skizzy
oops sorry i gave a clue to the wrong word. *blush*
haha, i feel dumb -- didn't even notice the other path
that's ok, i needed that one, surreal!
good evening all, is there a clue for the X word?
try an element
ty don't -- found it with your clue
no prob
aknitter Hi :)
fa**** I almost used a word just saying hello!!!
This is nuts, i'd only heard of a few of the O words.
aKnitter-ask earlier if maybe I should have changed my name today? LOL
co 6/30 please and thank you.
hmmm, what else could we call you?
Skizzy. Where are you from?
co6/30 = synonym for bestow
Skizzy-now you have to figure out how to use all these words into your daily language...lololol
holly, san francisco, you?
i can't find in6/24 :-/ but i finally figured out the scoring system, this makes more sense now!
Hehe. Indy. You just seemed familiar... lol.
an5/12 and an621 please
woot, finally found a 9 letter word
Knitter - Angel just called me Kae but I think Beautiful would do. LOL
I'm still missing one of the nine letter ones. I'm possibly retarded. hehe.
in 6/24 -- money u earn
of course... thanks!
in 6/24, what you get from working
f-kae, beautiful is what people call me. everyone would get confused LOL
Hollybug - LOL - then we all are.
holly, i only have one 9... a co... could you give a clue for the other you have?
sorry peri don't have those yet
Hehe. My brain is broken from doing school work. I absolutely believe this. hehe. :o)
kae, btw once you get co6/30, you can get co9/84
leslie an i only have the co 9 too
third ca6/21 please
Okay. So... Skizzy. Let's say I believe that... Why can I NOT get it? Is it the past tense?
co9/84 is past tense, yeah
first co514 anyone?
Skizzy-thank you, thank you, thank you found them
hi guys-I have 2 of the 9's=maybe they aren't the same ones- I have the co +an_____ and the con______ (sound sort of like a pine tree) in the past tense. What do you have?
LOL. I'm so so so so glad I hadn't spend a bunch of time on that. I wasn't adding the second hook... and it just kept telling me not a valid word. I wanted to throw a child.
peri, only co 5/14 i have is past tense of the shape of a dunce cap
Not that I ACTUALLY throw children. Because that is bad.
there's another co5/14 that's related to that dunce cap
no no, i understand, holly -- throwing children is good clean fun!
hehe. Of course.
OK, I'm for bed now, goodnight all you babblers, both old and new.
that second dunce cap word uses both c's.
Okay. I'm needing some help with the A words.
don't have the co8/60 help please
me again need the second na 5 have the one that mean an poof of a man
so does anyone have a clue for the third 9? Is it also a co word?
yeah! like the ac 7
LOL - you guys are killing me...
can't help you peri need that one too
Exwren - Good Night... sweet dreams
I'd never have gotten ac7/32 without looking it up -- it's related to ac5/12
peri-the co8/60 builds on the 6/30 which is just before it- has a double vowel meaning someone who does the 6/30 thing, at the end.
co 8/60 = co 6/30 with a double second vowel
Hehe. Eva got there first. :o)
holly... a lot of a's (and co's, and re's) relate to a an 5/20 that means to add something (uses the x)
Eva and Hollybug, thanks, those double vowel endings are tricky
ac 7/32 add opps of off the end of ac 5/12.
so peri-do you have all of the 9's?
Sheryl - na5 - the person you hire to look after your children
Here's my best shot at a clue for ac7/32 -- it's composed of a synonym for "perform", plus two prepositions
Eva, yes I have all the 8's and all the 9's but not all of the words, am quitting at 120 to watch Desperate Housewives and then to bed. See you all tomorrow.
ty peri, never should have seen that one
thanks fa****, skizzy
Nite, Nite Peri :)
yw
jumping on here -- let's see what happens..evening all
I can't find the an6s
yes!!! Just got the last 9 which is a ca9/60!! The person who operates an olod fashioned weapon which fires large round black metal balls. The 9's are: ca9/60 co9/96 co9/84
any clues for he7/52? I have all the other he's.
eva, thx! double vowel and consonant in that one, nice
yes- the c's have been a lot of fun in this one!
an 6s - an + the dunce cap shape, and an 5/20 plus a vowel
thanks LeslieAnn!
crazy brits with their e's at the end of things...
*needs same clue as epsurreal* : /
yw
hmm, it's 7/52, which means the letter values add up to 12, which means no X...
i have an He7 thats the past-tense of the indian ink....
brb phone - again.
ah, of course! thanks evanadine
there has to be an X as the word is between he5/22 and he6/36. The letter values add up to 13. (52 divided by 4)
stuck on the na5/12? help pls ty
Just found the game today - I assume the stats on babblers Anonymous are not exhaustive? I've got a 9 letter word, but BrandyJack's stats don't list any 9 letter words?
whoops, you're right about the 13 points, math error. but it doesn't *have* to be an X, it just could be. and in this case it isn't :)
the list is alphabetical. I'm using Mr P's list. Is it incorrect?
wait, or maybe i'm dumb and i just got the he7/36. ignore previous message!
just figured it out -- an alternative spelling of a girls name.
i just A2Z'ed the other HE7 -- kinda sounds like a samurai
that's the one. thanks evanadine!! and hi : )
I still need help with a words and i words.
total words?
which ones, holly?
150 words, magic
150.
magic - 150 today
thank you
how many letters in the largest word today?
3 9-letter words
there are 3 x 9 letter words today : )
thanks
oops. Closed the window.
whoo! got all the I words, without a2z-ing any of them. holly, which ones do you need?
i'm missing one co5/14 (i have two dunce cap ones). fourty-six words left...
congrats, skizzy!
nm..got it
good going skizzy! I had to go to morewords.com for my last 5 or 6 words. I just finished too! : D
yay babbler!
no, not totally finished yet, just got the I words. I'm up to 114
in 5/12
ok, well then, congrats without the exclamation point (period.)
hey, me too, at 114
in 7/32, in 7/28
hmmm, in5/12 is like... the past tense of the verb form of a synonym for hotel
holly - kinda past tense of where you might go for a beer
Where are today's stats?
munner - I used Mr P's stats in Angelsong's site
today's stats: http://www.writely.com/View.as px?docid=bccpk6gfhxhw4
stuck on the to 6/21 can anyone help pls
holy - in7s - one is past tense, and one refers to a person who does this
holly, the in 7's are only one letter off: in + dial **** + one more consonant
in7/32 and 7/28 are forms of in6/18
to6/21 - (google) A type of phoneme that occurs in languages that use tone to convey differences in lexical meaning.
ty babbler
y/w sheryl : )
Hey, thanks so much. Got them.
y/w holly : )

congrats sheryl! no7/44?
i should think before i ask :-X
one of the na 5 is someone who watches your kids... the other might be a nickname for someone named nancy?
no no, big, it is scientifically proven that asking for a clue makes it 50 percent easier to find yourself.
when it has not been proven it is a no*****
Thanks Sheryl! I needed it too!
the x is a type of gas or something colorless, odorless, highly unreactive gaseous element found in minute quantities in the atmosphere, extracted commercially from liquefied air and used in stroboscopic, bactericidal, and laser-pumping lamps
still cant get it, na5, not the child minder, cant think of a nickname for nancy
Sorry I'm new to this, how do you all know that you've got all the words, or the specific words you're looking for like 7/28, 7/32?
replace the y in nancy with the second vowel?

I FOUND A DIRTY WORD
I would like some raspberry cheesecake. Which is sorta (not really) on topic.
Hi Scatty *)
i've never tasted chocolate raspberry, isn't it sickly
Scatty -- it's a variation more than 'for short.' (just replace the y with a vowel)
thanks tbear-for once it actually worked!!Will wonders never cease?
*slices up cake and passes it around the room* everyone just help youself. * _ *
>-O he7s ...
hi fairiekae, how many more have you got to do between mouthfuls of cake
25 to go! i will overcome!
fe7?

Scatty - I got a late start - oh to heck with the excuses. I've got 79 words left. LOL
(((((tbear))))) one of my two favorite insomniacs! Babs was just here - my other favorite.
I'm missing one of the 8 letter words.
skizzy-i have 26 left, but think I'll probably go to sleep before finishing.
luther there isn't an fe7
scatty - thanks.........I was going in the worng direction !
faeikaeakrea....which is exactly what your name would sound like if I stuffed a whole piece of choc raspberry cake into my mouth....faaeeiikkaaeeaakkrree aa...IT WORKS....Lol
I still have 116 to go and I started @ 8:00 this morning ROFLMAO
holly, the 8's are: ca8/50 ca8/50 co8/60

faerie...((xx)).....
faeikaeakrea, why have you decided to call yourself that name tonight, it was hard enough trying to remember how to spell the other one, are you trying to keep us on our toes
the other is a weird one, but is the past tense of the ca6/21 which means a small village, or something like than-sounds just like the metal balls, but minus an n and plus a t.
can i have some more cake please, its growing on me and im hungry
Hey Mab....how are you chick? I'm a proper insomniac tonight...laid there for an hour thinking about Fidel Castro amongst other strange things and then gave up and hit the hot chocolate....
Shorty - Oh have mercy - I may as well stop right now. I sure don't have all night to sit here. Not....I'll seek and search and look and chat and chat and chat until I can't stand anymore. Then I'll make coffe and start tomorrows grid. NOT
my hubby has eaten all the jaffa cakes
is something special happening with Fidel Castro or was this just a random daydream?
must find words...
I have been in and out ALL day long
I understand Shorty thats pretty much how I work on the grid. But not today. Had too much to do here. My "friend" John came over and put a new ceiling fan and light combo in my bath and new switches and plugs. Came out beautiful. The ceiling fan combo has a night light built in. I love it..
Eva...book inspired....John Simpsons 'It's a mad world,my masters'....brilliant but not good pre-bedtime reading,too thought provoking...had just fginished a great chapter on Gaddafi,passing wind all through an interview....love it!!

only 10 left! Anyone have a hint for re7/32 and re6/36? Those have me stumpified.
one he7 is the past tense of naturally dying your hair red. the other one is HORRIBLE, give me a minute to think of a clue
i'm trying to figure that out right now..
re7 is doing an6 again
okay... he7: a spell, if you're pennsylvania german or dutch, plus the shortest-named great lake, with its last two letters swapped.
thanks grigs, glad to know it's not something obvious anyway!
it builds on the he 5/22 above it.
uh ::scratch::
got it!
wow, that was a hard one... is that even a word?
add 2 vowels to the he5/22
that's german, not english!
isn't that AWFUL? I monkey-typed it about 6 hours ago based on "knowing" the first few letters.
(also had a lot of help from the usual crew)
i'm stuck on the re6/36 and re7/32. anyone?
the re's build on the de 4/10 and en 5/12, if that helps
that does indeed, thanks!
The re6 is to repeat something you probably did to your parents when you were a kid :) The re7 is something Civil War buffs like to do.
don't u mean an5 grigs
i can't figure out which one i'm missing!!
no, that would be teh 7/48
the re that builds off of an5 is worth more than 32 points

total newbie - i don't get the scoring and all... what is 7/48 (for example)?
7/48 = Seven letters for 48 points
and after 4 letters, you get a multiplier x2 for each additional letter.
how do you know how many points? are those the numbers on the tiles? i'm a boggle maniac, but i don't get this. how many words are we supposed to find in this puzzle?
so that 7 letter word only has 12 ACTUAL points in it
he6/36? another witches spell word?
sort of, knut - 2 short words, a singular spell :)
abg - you should go to the right to friends of babbler and visit angelsong's web site, jera's web site for information on the scoring of the game. example no 6/27 means the word starts w/ no has sic letters and is worth 27 points

It is. the film examines socioeconomic divisions and such social taboos as older woman/younger man coupling -- I think it must have been shocking at the time and a bit subversive.
