trouble flipping????

Hi c-nan -- Family are all good, though Seb is still hiding burps on us :)
the joys of parenting and babyhood!
And speaking of those joys -- he should be waking up any minute now and I have only one clean bottle -- so I will be back after I have made him his midnight meal and cleaned others to prepare for his prebreakfast bottle as well :)
see you later, gw
Later, GW.
r 7/40
Hello
Hi all :)
Hello harpjane, good morning/evening/afternoon...
hey har & rebekb
re 7/40 is to to 5/16 again...
thanks for re clue, got it!
Hi Harp :)
And now the waiting begins.... will Seb wake up in 3 mins or 30?.... whenever he does I am ready -- bottle is here beside me :) Of course we all know he will wake up just when I am in the middle of entering a slew of words ;D
Hi harp and reb!!
can't sleep, may as well play
works for me, reb!! As many the late night/early riser Babbler from elsewhere around the world can attest ;)
anyone know what the 9 letter word starts with?
not yet
Okay, more than halfway, need to wait for the list to show up on Babbler's Anonymous. OR --
I just took a shot of Valium to calm me down, hopefully in time for the list...oh God I am out of it...later
cibo.......remain calm.....
ok - 88 words, I can crash out now.
im only at 5 words.damn.someone help dis chick out!!!lol
175 total words 4-letter words: 87 5-letter words: 53 6-letter words: 29 7-letter words: 5 9-letter words: 1
takes a few games to get the hang of it
The X and the L do not start any words skittles -- try for just the 4 letter words and you will be surprised at how many longer words pop up for you to find :)
thanx.i guess im not gonna catch up 2 u guys then.lol
also if you find the singular often the plural is there too since plenty of "s"es
Hi everyone. I am only here for a short while the 9 letter word starts with re 9/84 = refusal to submit to established authority;
skittles -- it not about catching any one, just having fun -- any effort is worthy of pride as there are too many out there who would consider the effort to hunt to be a wasted one :)
skittles, don't worry about how many the other folks have... set yourself a goal. Remember there are 24 hours for each puzzle. Work for a little, then take a break and let your brain work on it in the background.
skitttle - it's a 24 hour game covering every time zone. "catch up" is sort of meaningless when half the players are at lunch while the other half are in mid-snooze.
Hi marigold -- how have you been?
thanks marigold a good one to ponder
Hello, Babblers... ca7
Hi GW! I am doing great. Getting tried so I will be heading for sleep soon but
thanks marigold... it makes sense, just have to be awake enough to find it! Might be time to take my own advice... Before I go, is there a theme for the icons today? [I wanna play dressup]
theme: UK Mother's Day
stidmama - the theme is Mother's Day, UK
Hi dal :)
Hi - Sure enjoy hearing about the family. Soon it will be time for more pictures of the kids.
I know -- I have been remiss in the photo dept -- but the camera I have eats batteries and I have just been lazy about taking any -- but with the nicer weather coming, I will have reason to take more again :)
Thanks. In honor of all the mamas out there, here is a lovely sunflower by my now-13 child painted when he was but 6... Hangs over my desk for inspiration.
And now, it's 11 pm where I live, and I need to toddle off so I am awake enough to function tomorrow. G'night all!
G'nite stidmama -- sleep well and dream deep for me -- 2 am here and Seb still hasn't woken for his bottle -- I am gonna have to poke him :)
88 words, as fast as I could type them in :) that's as many as I was able to find in my very first time playing Babble in December.
Hello and good nite, stopping at 94, not finding the biggies tonite... happy babbling, All....
((**chic**)) -- see you later :)
stopping at 90, goodnight all!
For some reason, it won't let me post 'tree'. Sez I already have, and yet...
g'nite reb! (*Hug*)
pengh, refresh and try again.
penghuin -- try refreshing your page and see what happens
please do not post words from the grid in the chat log :)
hit the wall at 125 -- good night all :)
So lomg, c-nan! See you later :) ((**Hug**))
how many words today?
shoelace -- 175 --breakdown by length at 12:50 in the log :)
all dressed for Mother's Day in the UK :)
omg! i'm a beginner, but thats alot
Ouchie - eyes crossing - past 1am - over and out for the night!
so long, soni -- great work!!! I look forward to seeing you again :)
shoelace, 175 is very reasonable, for Babble. We've had more than 400 words in a grid before... but don't worry about the length; it really isn't bad once you find the rhythm of the game.
shoe -- Yeah, there's a bunch -- but don't worry about whether you will finish or not... Just focus on having fun :)
yea i will. thanks guys.. i was glued to it the whole of last night... got 55 words i think... pretty addictive eh?
shoe it is very additive
aye guys.at least i got 36 now.thats better than 5.lol
Babble addictive? Why would anyone sa3/5 th4/6 ab5/16 Babble?
Good for you, skittles!!!
grey!! he he
lol.i know.im so proud of ma self
good one gw
nah, it's not addictive...we can all walk away any time. Problem is, we cannot seem to STAY away for very long. I haven't missed a day since I found the game at the end of December...but I can quit. Any time I want to....
So why is it that when I want Sebastian to stay asleep he wakes up and now when he should be waking up for his midnight bottle he is being stubborn and sleeping?
hehehe, There is nothing like sleepy baby yawns! :)
okay, doubt... the max no of letters that one could find is 9 right?
Still here aloyisius?
Well, I woke him up --- hopefully I won't regret this...
in this grid, there is one 9-letter word, shoelace.
morning folks :D
GW, yesterday was my daughter's 29th birthday. The first time she slept all the way through the night, I went in to her and touched her to be sure she was still breathing.
yeah, I did that w/ Kristianna :)
((*sherb*))
I thought we might get a monster today... haven't had one for a while...
how many words tonight?
the monster grid will happen tomorrow......or maybe Thursday... :)
that's what I'm worried about, Angel... :D (((GW)))
TP17 - GW already posted this, but here it is again... 175 total words 4-letter words: 87 5-letter words: 53 6-letter words: 29 7-letter words: 5 9-letter words: 1
sc7/32
Thanks Sherb.
hi gang angelsong thing you cut something with
sherb!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Broll! Ready to sign off now. Stay warm!
angel, you asking for a clue on that one?
I found the sc7/32, I meant. Didn't need a clue for it :)
rennie!!!!!!!!! ...watching a film?
yo, al. me, too. eyes drooping.
yes...jane eyre...mez went to bed a long time ago...
See ya back in Babble Land, Broll -
Trying to get to half, but nowhere near. Sleep tight.
my tv is broken... no tv, no dvds... more time for Babble...
I remember being completely confused as to stats and point values for words. Took me a few days to sort everything out. That's one reason I created the Resource page. Maybe new Babblers will have an easier time of it.
sherb - i think we keep it on sometimes just to have sound...it can get real quiet around here late at night
up to 47, got to take a break
you too - I'm down to 39 now, but company for lunch tomorrow, so Babble waits till late afternoon.. hope its not snowing too much up there..
morning all... did anyone else NOT hear the reminders about the clocks??
ren - I use the radio like that... I sometimes have the radio on in every room, so I can here it wherever I go... I listen to BBC Radio 4 - talk not music
same here, ren -- I have found some of the most interesting programs that way ;)
Light dusting Friday night, but all melted. Gray, gray, gray, depressing gray.
what rolin? when do you guys spring forward?
broll - I thought I was pretty upbeat! ;D
hi rolin... lol, I resent losing an hour, and having to spend another thirty minutes changing all the clocks!!
thank goodness our pcs do it for themselves
for the boiler and the cooker, I have to get the instructions out... too complicated...
93 to go hit the wall and hitting the bed good night all
nite andy :D
lol sherb...and in my car...i always forget...i don't know when we spring forward......?????? if it was tonight - nothing changed....
nite andy
Holy crap! I just guessed at the 9-letter and got it, out of the blue. Talk about luck.
it's next weekend for you ren, April 2nd... someone said on Iron Sudoku...
clues for the ca7? I'm getting dizzy looking at the grid.
thanks sherb.....i will resent losing an hour next weekend then {-(
sorry Angel... only got 2 so far... the Y's... might get to the C's in a few hours...
angel - ca 7 google resembling cheese
sherb..there are y7's??..oooooohh dear
Just reviewing log. Didn't mean you GW. Just the constant overcast northern Ohio sky.
rolin - no, I meant I've only got two WORDS so far, lol
actually, now have 10 words... I'm on a roll, lol
lmao..oh...oookaaay..*tiptoein g quietly back into my hole*
I know, broll -- just trying for a very late joke :) didn't go over as well as I hoped, but then I am very tired right now - when Seb is done with his bottle I finally get to go to sleep
in my obsessive way, I insist on working backwards through the grid...
backwards?..
GW, I got it! You're always upbeat, tired or not.
hrm, where to get clues for 1097?
start with the Y's and work backwards from there... so the words I'm working on are always at the top of the list and I don't have to scroll down...
hmmm neat strategy...after i get the 'obvious' ones...i use the stats..and work on the letters that only have 1 or 2 words...i just gotta see a grey box to keep me going..lol
balker - this is what it was like before BJ's list... we had to work it out for ourselves and share...
And before computers we used a hammer
LOL, balker
before computers, we used pen and paper, and still do when our computers break down or aren't available... and actually, I haven't found a computer that can do what a hammer can do, lol
LOL...you used to use a hammer for a computer or use now use a computer for a hammer?
Time for me to turn in --- (*Hugs*) for everyone!!!
Night, wolfie.
though I'm oftem tempted to hit my computer with a hammer!! :D
nite GW ((hugs))
got the T's... time to go and change the clocks... later folks :D
hey all.. are the new stats available anywhere yet.. normally i get them from babblers annon but its got yesterdays stuffon it
If they're not up on Babanon - try checking under Angel's resource page, links, and MrP's check list.

Hit the wall of Oops not valid at 95 words, time to take a break I think.
I need to take a break as well to get lunch under way. I'm a happy mother as both of my daughters are at home today, the younger one came home from university yesterday.
enjoy your time with them. it's always fleeting, isn't it?
HAve a lovely day Haz I'm off to for a while TTFN
Just got the re 9 - so with that, I'm off. See you later.
clues... i'm stuck again
okay, i'm back in business :)
di 7/32 and di 7/36
on on 70! yay!
re9/84 refusal to submit to established authority; originally the refusal of Roman Catholics to attend services of the Church of England
I didn't realise just how many clocks we have in the house, it's taking ages to change them all
Good morning everyone. It is spring here in Vermont! Don't have to put woods in the stoves for the first time n agaes. Of course it won't last, but I'm celebrating the moment. Dalmatian, any clues for those di's? happy mother's day to all our UK Babblers (of the maternal persuasion)
Hey guys BAbbler's Anonymous isn't working! How do I find the stats?
d 7/36 builds off the d 4/6 the second part of the word is what you pack when you travel
d 7/32 is talking formally
Thanks dalmatian! Got the 36, off to look for the other.
Hey guys Babbler's Anonymous isn't working! How do I find the stats?
got it!
for the stats go on anglesongs resource page and click links then mrp's tick box stats hiya everyone
bogged down at 122. Think I'll try to get a little more sleep, but there's a bunch of red squirrels outside making having a very noisy party.
hi, how many words in today?
Hi, Everyone!! I clicked on the question mark next to the di7/36 and the definition is: to strip or undress, didn't see anything about talking informally.
meant that to say: discuss formally
Hi Bex, we obviously have good taste!
lol! i like cartoony things
Hiya, everyone!!!!!!
Morning, all... Happy Mothers' Day to the Brits!
Hi All -Happy mothers Day! Had same icon as bex & Ex Wren so nipped off to get a new one.Have a spare 15 mins until I'm off to lunch -real treat as last Mothers Day I cooked for 11!
That sounds like fun, snowy... who is cooking this year?
Morning dear gang!
Mornin' Sprite!
di 7/32 is talking formally
Morning all! This one looks better than yesterday's. Did Dr.G hear our supplications for a big one?
Hi Jera - Out to a resteraunt for lunch with My mum, my aunt & my two sisters! Oh & my husband. Hi sprite! Nice to see you - you are usually too early morning for me!
Goof morning to all -- giving Seb his early AM feed :) (I forgot to turn off my pc last night -- now I know why ;D) (*HUGs for everyone!!!*)
Hi Woulf :) Big hugs right back at ye and a goof morning to you too :)
I have a di7/36 but not a 32...
HI GW - why do I ALWAYS spell restaurant wrong! I always have to read it back before I see it!
LOL -- my keyboard has dyslexia lately :D
Mornin' GW! Hug that sweet baby for me!
ok, Jera -- but gently as he is almost back to sleep :)
snowy - if you're asking me, I am sure I don't know ;D
Good idea... I was always in the let sleeping babies lie camp...
I thought that I might as well ask, seeing as I'm never gonna get 'em..... Plz, plz, PLZ clue me up with the 7's & the 9......
How was your Equinox, GW? Were you guys able to get out a bit or was it too chilly?
I haven't even looked at any lists yet so I have no idea, movieman... still in the look around & see what pops out stage of the game...
Hi Jera! That di7/32: when you write your PhD you di***** upon a topic
re9 = "refusal to submit to established authority;"
ca7 = "Resembling cheese."
LOL GW - I think you've probably got enough to think about right now! I'm usually really good with spelling -it's my one word bling spot! A friend of mine could necer spell beautifull properly at school, then one teacher made her write it 200 times -she says now it's the one word she's knows she's going to get right!
di7's were both just given by dalmatian5 at 5:12
Thanks, amandacath... I've never seen that word without it's "-ation" ending... the things we learn in Babble...
re7 = "To improve or change (a photographic negative or print)"
Me either, Jera - but I'll try anything to get those points! How many are we looking for today?
sc7 = used to cut (usually paper) -- my def thus the lack of quotes :)
There you are, movieman :) and great to see you, btw -- I haven't had the chance to be active when you are around in a while
The thing is, without the list, I'm "blind" & have no idea how to ask for hints... other than words that start from a certain letter on the stats grid, but that can be quite tedious...
175 words, no idea how may points...
GW, is that photo re7 = poke again?
Bye all will be back in around 9 hours time -Taking a VERY long lunch LOL Happy Babbling
Jera -- This is what's known as doing it old school!! ;) Seriouslly though, if you click on Licketys Babble Clues in the FoB box -- you'll find a list that he compiled. But be warn - sometimes one or two get missed by the program he uses to compile it :)
Have fun, {{{snowwy}}}!
Enjoy snowy -- you deserve it (((***HUG***)))
THanx for the clues, woulfy......
I've never done any lists other than AngelSong's (actually MrP's??) & brandyjack...
Thx Jera - that's a nice size for today as I won't be able to stay until all hours of the morning, so to speak. Although I did turn the computer on at 2 am yesterday to finish!
LicketySplitAUS is mrps other half - the link is a direct one so you don't have to go through Angel's is all :)
Gotcha... is that with the tick-off boxes?
Also - re the equinox -- I didn't get to do much to observe the day -- schedule juggling work and fussy son and active daughter did not permit :/
Yes it is, Jera -- I am looking at it now and found one error that jumped out at me -- it only lists 1 Y word, instead of 2
The Sprite stayed home sick so we didn't do much either... planted some seeds & Gwyd & I played outside a bit... allergies really slay the Sprite, we may have to up her dosage... I don't want her getting pneumonia again!
My pleasure, movieman -- one of the few times that I have all the big ones to clue in first --- doing the overnights with my son proved to be good for something :D
Aw, poor kid :\
peri -- are you still here? if so, hi!!
Well, I think I need to break with 60 left... I'll be back later, fresh, & break out the list, I guess!
And that's me done for today. Have a great day/night/whatever and happy hunting! *hugs*
Jera -- I have 60 left as well :) -- and should try for some more sleep since Seb has dropped off -- but will prob stic around -- after all it is my day off :)
how many points does that re9 have?
84 amanda-there was a really good clue for it earlier this morning-
No wonder you were so quiet, sprite -- sneaking over the finish line without distractions, huh? Enjoy your day and hope to see you again soon! ((**HUG**))
re9/84
the 9 builds somewhat upon what a judge does with a case which is too close to her/him
I got greywoulf's clue and have been trying to find it since - we'll see if I can puzzle it out mathematically. If not, I'll ask again, no fear!
Day off? What means this day off?? LOL! Bye, all... have fun! *poof*
Any of the clues I provided with quotes should be able to be googled to find the answer :)
I try to leave googling as a last resort....
hi everyone!
hi TO!
So do I -- just clarifying :) Morning Temple!! ((*Hug**))
Hi TO!
give me a good clue for re9..
does anyone have a clue for the third o in the top line? I have the bookie thing, and what sounds like someone who works with cattle.
I want toucan!
od4/5 -- scent as on 'body od**'
Yay! Got it! Thx all!
as IN, not as on
Hey everyone, tackling this whilst doing Psychology coursework :)
And I want chassis!
im having trouble with the di7 to do with talking...
Eva -- did you find it? the od clue was for you -- I for got to preface :)
rolin - scroll back to 6:03 and see if that helps...
eolin - formal def is " To discourse formally."
im having trouble findng the di7 to do with talking..help?
got..ty all..(have trouble refreshing too..im in for a good day eh??..lo
WOW -- did I type wrong again! -- Rolin, not eolin :\
can anyone please tell me how many 7's and 8's and waht they begin with, please?
How bout the 2nd y - I've got the soul thingy....
...although I don't think I'd want my soul to be called that...
Thanks GW! Went away for a while to get another tiger. Can't believe I missed that one-was so convinced that t would be something esoteric that I didn't smell what was right in front of my nose.
amanda...nasty slang term for jewish ppl souly thing??
Eva -- its the curse of Babble -- the obscure becomes so mundane that the mundane becomes obscure! ;D
gw...are there any words starting with ox?
like your new icon gw!Is it a special one for Mother's Day?
one rolin
woulf: i have the thing the judge does when he has a conflict of interest...the nine builds from that?
d'oh - I thought it would probably be something simple I just wasn't seeing - thx rolin. Yes, soul thingy, believe it or not: "Greek term for soul as the essential principle of life and the locus of consciousness". It's a y4/9
just one - ox5/20
yes it does, TO
TO-and it ends with the sometimes vowel
Icon is one I use off and on, Eva -- but I chose it to fit in with the theme today :)
why is my points tally showing " Nan" ?
refresh, shoe -- the site glitched
yea..worked thanks... meanwhile i'm still tryin to figure out ox and re!
hey GW -- how is Seb this am?
Woohoo! I broke 100! I will now allow myself the 1st letter list....
Had to step away for a mo :) guigrrl -- he is doing fine - sleeping in his bassinet right here by me -- I had to wake him for his 2 AM feed, but then he went right back to sleep after giving me some good burps -- hopefully this trend will continue throughout the day :)
oh so glad to hear it :)
shoe - the ox5 = "The armpit; also, the arm. [Prov. Eng. & Scot.]"
AAARRRGHHH - no BJ list! What to do?!?!
for the re9 -- do you have the re6 that is what a judge does when he removes himself from sitting on a particular case?
happy mother's day, everyone!
Une - is it Mother's Day in the States? I can never remember...
...oh, and Hi!
hi une - nice icon! you know - my brain is still asleep, and with no lists yet, i think it's time to ga and try again later...
it's not mother's day in the US - that's in May
nope, not till May
i'm at my daughter's in North Carolina--waiting for everyone to rise and shine! :-)
Oh good - then the mail I sent to my Mom earlier wasn't missing a Mother's Day wish after all.
yup i got re6
"Tech" is a word! In common use! It's short for technology! *grumble*
How many biggies? I've got 5 7's and 1 9 so far
well bye all - bbl!
!st letter list for amanda :) A = 16 C = 29 D = 32 E = 3 H = 2 I = 2 N = 2 O = 6 R = 25 S = 32 T = 21 U = 1 Y = 2 I think that is all of them -- just eyballing my stats board :)
That's all of em, amanda
woulf - where did u get stats today?
Hail to GreyWoulf!
gw, awwwoooo!
TO -- made em up from the Babble stats; also have been hunting since the flip!
Check out Lickety's Babble Clues on the far right. The link gives you a great list to work with
Just be careful, Laurie -- there are still some errors in the program that they use -- easy example - it has only one of 2 Y's listed
i was on lickety's site via angels but today's stats were not there...if anyone has been able to link to them let me know please
any idea why no bj stats? i still use them as my stats of choice
TO, Lickety's stats are up.
TO - there is a direct link in the Friends box to the right
hmmmm...thanks, i'll try again later,, happy babbling all! leave good clues so i can breeze through when i return - LOL!
Later TO-- ((**Hug**))
heading out your way, woulf - redners. class ended yesterday and i have three weeks of work to catch up on!
shoelace -- sorry, didn't mean to leave you hanging -- just got a IM from my mom :) the re9 -- builds off the re6 -- drop the last letter, then add all but the first letter of the woman's name that is almost in the gird today -
np, let me try it now
TO - which redner's?
Great clue, GW! :) I needed that one! Thanks! :)
my pleasure, macuser -- I still have about 50 to find, but what I have I am more than willilng to share :D
lansdale. they have a product i cannot find anywhere else
Oh, you weren't kidding when you meant out my way :)
omg - 8:30! got to go ! : )
too bad we can't coordinate a meet -- next time you are gonna come here, pop me an email and we can try :)
anyone have a te5?
Sorry GW... I've only got 70 words so it'll be awhile 'til I can provide any clues :/
Hi all :) GW, the te5/16 is almost identical to to5/16 - don't have a def though ...
thanks chessy! got that
Thank you Chessy -- that was my last T :)
yw GW :)
GW, how'd it go with the baby last night? did he get back to sleep after you woke him to feed him?
Yes he did, Angel -- AND he gave me good burps too :) He was also very well behaved when he woke up at 6:15 and cooperated and is now sleeping peacefully by my side :)
anyone seen shorty
you gotta love it when babies are reasonable......:)
Does anyone know how many points today's puzzle is worth?
haven't seen shorty this AM, Smiley Angel -- just makes me worried that he is trying to get me to let my guard down ;)
probably at church
lol, Woulf......it's a plot, ya know?
we got two babies this morning 3 months and 11 months awwwwwww
What's my last e - got currency and godlet
godthaab - don't know the points, but there are 175 words today
Smiley -- that is an Awwwww moment :)
amandacath, try eeeeeelongating your godlet :)
GW.Thanks.
Thanks Chessy! Vowel words done - except a's those are almost always the last ones I get, for some reason
Hey GreyWoulf!
need a clue for the y that isn't on lickety's list, please...
y + what you show to get into a bar, plural
it's y4
Hi Angel! Bad word for jewish people
yi4 - plural derogatory slang for Jewish people
thanks, GW. my stats panel looks like it has measles :)
Hey Keisha-- so how did your mom like it last night -- I didn't see her leave
Pretty good.
Keisha - Did you finish yesterday
no
Angel -- I have had some boards where I have tried to grey the grid to match a pattern that randomly started as I began my hunt ;)
Keisha -- oh well -- but now you have today to hunt ;D
yeah how about that
Hi everyone what are the stats today.
Does anyone know what the 3rd e is - have er4/4 & er5/10.
its a currency, chris
GW, nice to know I'm not the only one who tries to "paint" a pattern with the stats panel :) I thought I was losing it, big time.
Angel -- if we are mad, then it is a madness I don't mind sharing :)
Finally got it amanda!
Hi everyone - still very new. Where can i find todays list?
gela, there is a direct link to lickety's stats list (it's missing at least one clue today, so be aware), and to Angelsong's Babble page in the Friends of Babble list to the right. The resource page is a repository of most things Babble--related.
excellent! Thank you very much!
GW, the online resource page has changed a bit just lately.
It has indeed Angel, I was looking at it this morning, you've done a really good job there. Afternoon all.
Hi Mitch! I like the new layout too, Angel
Time to go, Kristianna is awake -- will be back later to finish ((**Hugs to all**))
Hi/bye GW Hi amanda, hows it going today?
((FMitch)) lovely to see you :)
Slowly but surely - and the sun's shining (intermittently, but still)!
I managed to get a lot of the grid done this morning and just came back to have a look in case magically all the ohter words had appeared but... sadly, no. LOL
Know what you mean - I'm at 132 and nothing more is popping out...
Does anyone have a list of the 7's? I have di7/32 & re7/40.
LOL you are ahead of me, I'm on 125, mind you it's raining and I don't have to be anywhere so I can babble to my hearts content.
Chris sc7/32
Thanks macuser.
there's a di7/36 di + cons + c4/5. Only have the 2 di 7's
yw, Chris :) It's the only other 7 I have other than what you listed
Thanks FMitch - just one to go (of the 7's that is!).
Here's the biggies for today, if I'm not mistaken: ca7/36 di7/36 di7/32 re7/40 sc7/32 re9/84
Yes, ty FMitch... I needed those too :)
Thanks amanda :)
YW!
y/w thanks manda
Oh, enough of this. I'm getting the list
is there a list? I can't find one on bab. anon.
go to Angelsong's link on the right.
thank you. I found lickety's list.
NP pine, readling the log earlier the is a yi4 missing from the list, don't know if anything else is.
Can I ask for a clue on the ca7/36 please
Mitch, you may. "like cheese"
sits here blankly muttering 'like cheese... like cheese' ?!?! mmm will have to ponder that as usually yr clues leap straight out at me. Actually it's making me hungry BRB
Any clues for se6/21? I have the one referring to bristles
macuser: chg one consonant
I had to ponder that one a while as well. Maybe: if cheese made you sick to your stomach....
bristles?
Thanks, teletypeturtle! Got it! :)
Ahhh - monkey-typed those se's. Thx guys!
how many words today??
wtg, amanda! :)
Good Morning everyone -- I have a yi 4/7 that is not on mrp's list --- don't know what's going on!
c'nan... reading back in the log, that one was apparently left off :/
Oh... and good morning :)
175 words
Happy Mother's Day to all the British Mothers......... Is it Mothers Day all over Europe or is it just the UK that is different?
c-nan, that y is missing from Lickety's list, not to worry.
175 words. Morning Nan! I'm missing an as5/14-6/24-pair, at least I think it's a pair. I've got the evaluating one, but I just can't sqeeze the other one out...anyone?
as5/14: as + gambling cube - a vowEl; plural is the as624, amanda
teletypeturtle: what a great name you've chosen! and welcome to Babble.
thanks angelsong! I've been lurking. Appreciate your website today !
Thanks, Angel - never heard of it. Mother's Day in Germany is May 8 (had to look it up). It's not quite the big thing here, however, as it was a big Nazi to-do - they liked to reward Nazi mommies for having lots and lots of Nazi babies
Good morning, all! cybernan, you been here the whole eight hours I was away?
lol stid -- just came back on about 15 minutes ago.
Whew! I was afraid you were even more Babbliefied than Angelsong! BTW, Angel, I like the new layout, and -- did you change the color a wee bit too, or is it just my old monitor doing strange things?
no, the color is the same. I'm looking at a new template for the site, though......I like a change now and then.
ca 7/36
I am working on a new template and layout for our family website -- it's been the same for several years, from way back when I used tables for all my layout. Makes it too hard for vision-impaired people, so I have switched to css layouts... but that means I need to recode the whole shebang.
it's strange. I've tried using those WYSIWYG web page generators, but they are just too clunky. I much prefer coding my own.
I agree. WYSIWYG is nice for seeing how the layout actually will "play" but I much prefer hard coding. It's how I learned... and I know that no matter how many browsers I test things on, at least one of them will not work properly. [sigh] But then, I'm merely a hobby geek, not a full-time one like my hubby.
cybernan - are you looking for a clue for the ca7?
ca 7/36, please?
ca 4/5 plus the ending of promissory notes.
jetx is in the game!
Thank you Haz
You're welcome - I'm on my second run through after a break for lunch etc.
mornin' jetx
Off for some breakfast -- first golf game of the season later this morning.
I think I'm not fully awake yet, off to make some tea, back in a flash!
Well, that's it for me. There were only a couple in the list I had to kick myself for not getting, the rest were fairly obscure. Off to wash, dress, and eat! Happy Babbling all!
Yay amanda! **Y**I**P**P**E**E**
Brandyjack's stats up. Thank you BJ.
re7?
re 7/40 is to handle something again... often used with photos
thanks. that was my last 7.
half an hour for Babble... :D
i'm on 99.. and not getting anythin more! :(
good evening, sherb!
hi stidmama and shoelace :D
shoe, I'm stuck, too, but with a few more words than you. I might not know what you need, but I'm willing to give clues for what I have!
hello there
Good morning. I have just a few minutes before I have to cook brunch. How goes it today?
clues!
'reet' should be a word... as in Reet Petite, a good old Jackie Wilson song...
hi musicmom :D ...our clocks went forward, and I'm feeling disoriented today...
Oh my. I think ours go forward -- maybe next weekend? I forgot that was coming up. I hate the spring forward.
well, let's see. cu 4/6 is what you want to do when you get stuck on a puzzle (American slang) and cu 6/24 is what you become if you do! and what I became some time ago, I'm afraid...
Good morning. We rearranged the computer monitor last night. The monitor is too high and the keyboard is too low. Makes it hard to spell. Go figure!
Hey everyone! Did I miss daylight savings???
Angela - I don't think so. I think ours is next weekend.
DST is next week in the States, Angela! You're safe.
hi harp and Angela :D ...clocks went forward this weekend in the UK, next weekend in the US...
DONE....anyone need a clue??
stidmama, i got both of em!! thanks
Ouwachita, I need so many clues... How about the di 7s?
okay, i'm goin to have some dinner. will be back, stidmama, need ur help though..hhee
Sushi's here. di7 One sounds like a container for your CDs
see you after, shoe, I'm here for a while because it's too wet to work in the garden today.
any help for the cy's out there?
Phew! I miss it every time - maybe this time I'll be prepared...yea right!
di7....di+ca4/5 di7....almost similar to what you eat after a meal but change the first vowel
thanks, sushi!
cy4...is a colorant for computer printers
thanks, ouwachita! And BTW, congrats on finishing (big smile)
sa 5/16 and sa 6/27, please?
thanks Ou....
I don't like this grid one little bit. Is anyone else struggling with the words, or I am particularly thick today? (more than usual?)
sa5/16 is a holy man in Hinduism...sa6 is the plural
I'm struggling. Ex. I can't see a single as word. I'm going to have to quit and go prepare brunch. Be back later.
ty ouw.
you know you've been playing babble for too long when sa 5/16 comes naturally...
Yep I didn't have any trouble with it today Hurshy. Amazing it is weirdo words that I'm seeing.
I've been playing Babble too long...
Didn't come, but still monkeytyping.
Hey Hurshy, I guess I haven't been playing long enough. I am not up on my Hindu Holymanisms
me too
te5/16 also came naturally...
i mean me too, sherb
Hello ExWren, it seems way tougher than people need on a Sunday... have you had a pleasant Mother's Day?
Listen to what I sa*+not the ego but the**

Is it Mother's Day?
See the gang later.
Over this side of the pond it is, bunny......
Hey Bunnyv -- in Great Britain, apparently. We have another six weeks in the US before I get breakfast in bed...
Sorry, got that one. First sa5/16, sa6/27 combo, please?

evening all . hope u all have had a good mothers day
i guess i am not addicted enough yet though bc i don't have that te5
hi ruthy :D
hello sherb
ExWren - Not particularly fond of this one myself...
te5 - no def, but it sounds like what you do, but with a different vowel in the middle...
oh how funny sherb, i just got it before you posted. i would have said penta____, first five books of the bible
it was my 100th word, 75 to go!
sc7/32?
good clue... I would have had to google that, because my Bible knowledge is sadly lacking...
need clues for the re5/12 just before the re7/40, please...
harp - paper cutter
Angel - re5 could be to relay a lawn maybe?
cool! Thanks, bro
angel - more grass
that na4 is a Babble favourite too...
and he doesn't mean repot... ;)
tyvm, got that pesky r!

* trying to remember not having a computer *
ANGELA UR SERIOUSLY WIERD
((Karys))
Angela - I got my first computer (a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K) when I was 6......
Personally, L33T speak is so much vapor to me -- little shortcuts are fine, but not whole sentences ;)
uh - look out angela - lots of love and best wishes.
Bring it on! :D HA! Just taking the heat off for ya Evan.
Oh Karys, love that! I was just sitting here thinking when I was 12 PC's didn't exist per say.
Can I have a clue for the re 9, it one of me last two.
yoo hoo Angelsong....you ok ? :)
Some are seriously wierd (sic), others strangely wired
I got access to ENIAC when I was a teenager...

re9 : a quality a retiring judge might have
LOL Ludo!
(((leslie)))

Leslie Ann ...a 'freudian' spelling there I think !!!
I'm doing fine, Karys. Five words left, then off to work on pages.
Sorry Ludo, but I need one from the "Babbling for Idiots" handbook....
My point as well, Fmitch -- the TI I had couldn't even run a simple program with out having and extra expansion cartridge installed -- which of course cost extra :)
got a long way to go to catch you up then Angelsong !
haha no karys, i was commenting on ludo's post
I'm glad you said it first Bunny- I too subscribe to that method.
bunny there's a babbling for idiots handbook?? where do i pick up my copy??
OK- it's based on the re6/24
You can find IT on E-bay!!
LA -- I think we could probably put one together just from excerpts from past logs :D

GW as I am a tad older ok a few years older than you when I got a TI it has a casette player that you had to plug into it but I did love space invaders.
Thanks hurshy & Leslie Ann -hope to be back later tonight. Happy Babbling All
YEp -- used standard audio casettes as storage media and took almost 5 mins to store or load a simple calculator program
GW - glad you understood my disjointed typing and rubbish spelling. Used all my efforts on finishing the grid this afternoon.
Hi everyone. Been floating in the background for a bit. can anyone give a clue for yu 4/ 9
"You have 0 word(s) left to find". 175 words, 2100 points.

Well, I'm stuck for the moment on my words and the family calls... see y'all later! Karys, I am sure you will find something yummy to enjoy with your tea. Scones perhaps? Today is raining here, good day for warming foods.

IT's a madhouse....A MAAAAD HOUSE!!
Thank you Baron! I just couldn't see that one...
Thanks Karys - Looks as though there has been an invasion.
oops -- couldN'T , not could
ella, at the top of the page, you'll see Babble Rules. Everything is explained in that. : )
BABBLER HOW DO I LEARN DA GAME AL U AVE 2 DO IS FIND WORDS?
something like that I think Music lol
ah bab's - soon to be sainted
If you know how to play the game, why are you spamming the log?
Ella....darling child....why don't you use your time to find a few easy words and then you may feel better ?
coz i wont 2 u s h i t
babs - no - it looks dangerous
e im 18 so shut up ino loadza words
in that case, you're on your own. none of us can help you.
maybe that link is on crassjerks.com?
Ella - One of my favourite Schiller quotes is "Mit der Dummheit kampfen, die Gotter selbst vergebens"
but you have to know how to spell in English
e im 18 respect ur elders
Have there been any clues for the first two as5/14? I'm stuck.
in that case you have no intention of playing the game and are just out to be annoying....
it's odd, ella spells about as well as my sister's dog.
i'll take the dog
.... further to Kary's post.... that's what makes you a troll
mm - first one is like di6 that you throw in track and field second one i FINALLY got, you add a nickname for richard minus the k
yes music if you want to scroll back past the nonense...but you know how long it takes me to give out clues !!
i have every intention of playing this game I am a well earned eighteen year old and you should all respect your elders and tell me some words!
elders? most of us are older than you
the vast majority of us are older than you, ella
good heaves,,,,your typing has improved quite dramatically...Ella
bollocks
Hi all, I'm so addicted I upgraded last night! the first as5/14 means analysis of a substance -- biology/chemistry term
don't forget - foul, loathsome, ignorant, rude, evil, crude, detestible, unlikable, unsavory...
Thank you Karys and Hurshy - I had been searching for them earlier this morning as well.
well we cant TELL u words
i cant take this shit... pls stop irritating us!!! this page takes forever to refresh. ****er!
just curious, has anybody used that X?
lol, I have underwear older than you
why dont you learn some respect for EVERYONE.
Ella, we're not allowed to post actual words in the log, only clues
plus, we never tell each other the words. none of us are that desperate.
ella -- if you check the bios you will find that the majority of us are much older than you -- I am twice3 your age myself -- so shut up about respect until you look it up and understand what it means
lol sukee
I'm old enough to be her Grandma...(Heaven forbid !! )
lol sukee!! I have tights older than her!! :'D
omg dis is msn language its quick type 4 al da ova words i can speak quite well its just i use dese words 2 make it quicker ok
ella - Babbler kindly directed you to the "babble rules" at the top of the page...if you read the rules of the game, it explains how to play...
Wow. Looks like we're having fun...
(tights = hosiery)
I could be her mother - but I'm glad I'm not.
im 54
ella - L33T is the language of the lazy
How strange !!
quicker for you to type, perhaps, but much slower for others to decipher
holly, gimme that umbrella, i got a troll to beat on.
Hi Hollybug!
Hi there EB :)
s h i thead i need clues
please, no 54 year old knows internet spellings!
lol. hurshy, And just plain WRONG...
MSN speak is harder to read. lots of times I can't be bothered. write it out in full if you want to talk to us
hi hi. :o)
I know it but it just drives me up the wall :)
probably she can't type is all.
ok i will now will you all please give me some clues or words?
well this Grandma must get on and find the last 54 words
someone asked about the x earlier but too much focus is on the troll so kinda got lost. Has anyone used the x yet? can you give me some clues?
Oh, you just wanted the words? Why didn't you say so?
rebek - congrats on going pro!! : )
GW, what's L33T ? new one on me : )
ella - No
let me get right on that.
yes gela...ox5/20
gela - according to stats the x doesn't start any words today.
oh, i have not used the x yet i don't think
There is an ox5/20 - Ulster/Scots for armpit
i am sorry everyone do you accept an apologie?
gela, no words start with x...
i bet you dont even know what year you'd have to be born in in order to be 54 now. if you want help deciphering the clues ask nicely and ye shall learn. otherwise stop spamming
godthaab- lol :)
Sorta like... Elite... Babbler. :o)
sorry i am asking nicely could any darling give me some hints or words, you would be dears if you would!
thanks LeslieAnne. Can't use the x in a word either. frustrating
thanks, haz!
Babbler - L33T is how I learned to identify the short hand typing cos it originated with uber geeks trying to make themselves bigger than they really were
There was a rumor of an ox5, but I can't substantiate it from personal experience.
Thanks EasternBlue!
Goodness goodness.
got it!
thanks, GW :) I just checked Brandyjack's list, and the X is used once. : )
ella, if you go to the babblers anonymous link to the right, then click general, then click stats, you will get a breakdown of all the words. for example, ac 4/6 means a four-letter word that starts with ac, is 4 letters and 6 points.
lost track of answers. please ignore troll.
has anyone FINISHED ?
Bummer. I have to run to a Girl Scout meeting and then worship is here tonight. I hope to make it back on to finish later. Have a good peaceful afternoon everyone.
gela - ox5/20 is the only use of the X in this grid it means armpit
Ella, go here, and scroll down, you will get a list of all the words, that is, the two letters each starts with, how many letters/points: http://p105.ezboard.com/fbabbl ersanonymousfrm2.showMessage?t opicID=6.topic
of course people have finished, the puzzle has been open for 14 and a half hours. not ME, but people.
yes im done
okay, off to a party - happy troll hunting.
oggy. cool!
congrats oggy!
i was wondering how many words are in this puzzle
Thank for help. Managed to find the ox
enjoy your party, evanonut!!! you deserve your trauma treats tonight! :D (( Nut ))
175 words today
175 words
thanks HollyBug, for Elite (though I don't know what that is either) : )
s-head - you'll get yourself banned from playing if you continue like that. I'd sort out another handle too, if I were you.
I have 15 to go -- but I have to go experience real life outside the cyberdungeon ;D Back later :) (*Hugs for my friends*)
see you later, GW, (( hugs )) to you and yours : )
Bye GW Babbler is it time for Dr_G?
the stat box says zero for the x so is there a word to be found or not ???
i already did
Hey everyone, excuse me just turning up and asking for a clue, but it's been a long day (looks like the log's having one too!) .... can I get a hint for the second re6/24 before my brains dribble out of my ears? Ta.
Wow! It's hostle here today!
I think Evanonut mailed Dr G earlier on, so he'll be here soon enough, FMitch. : )
*tosses s*head a chill pill*
What's yr prob SH ?
Yvo, there are no words that begin with x, but there is one word that uses it: ox5/20.
re6/24 - present tense of speak it out again
Yvo, it means there isn't a word that BEGINS with X, but if you look at Brandyjack's list (BabAnon, General, today's stats), you'll see a letter count. The X is used once today. ox5 I believe. : )
oh my i still have 95 to go. im off to suduko !!!
trish...its what a judge does when s/he excuses themselves from a case
thank you vicuna
hmmm, ch6?
Haz, thank you, that was the one (thanks too, Rolin!)
ch 6/24 is a ballet step means sashay
ok... which french word? there are an awful lot of them
Glad to help, trishtrash
Or the body of a car...
hurshy - think of the hunt
see i had been trying chassy (stupid of course, wrong points...)
i was trying that too, hursh... isn't that part of a car?
i think i'm spelling it wrong, leslie
(The car part is spelled chassis, I think, being more of a linguist than a mechanic.)
i think the car part is chassis?
It ends in a vowel.
Leslie - the word you're thinking of ends in "is"
chassis : )
oh ok
What's up with today? All kinds of problems.
but you look cute as a button, as usual, holly bug
has anyone made use of the L yet?
I'm going to a late lunch. You should all take a break and come with me. It will be super fun! :o)
is di 7/36 a word from my cousin vinny, or what? :) :)

ou4/7 = what you say when you hurt yourself
hrmm. Okay kids. I'll be back. :o) Good luck... with the... *whispers* <troll>.

as6 - don't be passive, be as6ive as6 - crayons come in as6ed colors
i'm having a terrible time with all the ones that start with as
((((REN!!!))))
(((angela))) and (((everyone)))
ty..got them all now
Afternoon, everyone!
as 6/24 - as + talks as 6/24 - as + man's name (drop 'k') + plural
the a's that is..lol
I'm hoping you'll have a calming effect on the board :)
as 6, say something strongly... as 5 a positive value to the organization
thanks trish and hurshy....i'm still a little muzzy...i think i stayed up to late.... angela - pretty flower!!!
first sa5?
ren - know the feeling!
/Thanks Ren - they're my fave. I wasn't sure what the theme was but saw flowers and thought I would go with that :)
plural of the sa4/5, hurshy (sounds like a girl's name)
hurshy - sa 5 = an ascetic holy man hurshy do you allow yorself to google for clues?

angela - is that a peaceful daisy?
cu 5/14 like actress renee r**** from thomas crowne affair
I'm hoping! :) It's been nuts here today.
Mo - cu5 take yr cu4/6 and add a vowel, strange word.
(( Ren !! )) : D
one to go, one to go, yippee skippee one to go!!
(((babbler)))!!!!!!
ca5= ca + curvy consonant + not we but **
Go hurshy, Go hurshy!!!
yay, all done me!
Go Hurshy!
how are you, hun? I've been over in Sudoku I'm afraid. The old addiction has bitten back and reclaimed me, lol! :'D
47 words on the grid left to go, 47 words left to go, i'm in the doooo's, oh me-ooooooo 47 words on the grid....:-O
**YAY**HURSHY** I'm back, I see things have really been busy while I was out... any help with ca 7/36?
your... brandyjack?
careful, S-Head.
S-HEAD - WAY, WAY out of line.
WooHoo, Hurshy!!!!!!!!
ca7 - sounds like a guy that hung out with brutus and caesar
oh babbler!!! i started on the sudoku last weekend...and decided i only had time for one addiction - so i'm staying w/ this silly word addiction!!!
actually, I'm bored with S-Head. I hope Dr G does ban him/her
hey s-head....are you so starved of attention that you have to come into a benign site such as this...to get anything even if its negative??... what a sad little person you are
I hear you, Ren. I've gone back to sudoku for now.... but I'm sure I'll be back here soon enough, lol! : )
Does it seem like there is drama everyday or is it just me?
Babbler, the name choice says it all really doesn't it!
not EVERY day, smith, but with so many newbies... the od4 increase that some will be trolls
Smithchick, I think with the influx of newbies, there has also been an influx of trolls. Absolute convention of them today. : /
I've never seen it quite this dramatic before.
this is a hen house now???
Thanks hurshy, 28 words to go...
FMitch, you're not wrong! lol!! I think he should sort it out, though.
there is a preponderance of WOMEN in the babble chat room
well - at least we know what s-head thinks of themself...poor little misplaced person...or as dr freud or jung would say - there is a potty fixation..
hurshy,FMitch ,Smithchick and all thank you for your clues ...i dont know why i found them so difficult...probably old age and wine,,,thanks once again
Angela, there have been some very offensive trolls in the past. This lot are nothing in comparison.
YW, mo:)
Ren - ROFL!!!!!!
I'm wondering why s-head would need to say something offensive to see how many, e-hem "chicks" there were when we clearly have little pink icons. Cheap thrills are more like it.
lol Ren!!! :' D
in case some new users are not aware, children as young as 8 or 9 use this site, so, please...!
this is almost silly. words that should be here aren't. words that google has never heard of are. not fun
maybe he is colour blind?
hi , I'm new. is it best to pay forthe membership?
Thankfully, our regular dudes aren't imbeciles...
oh!! i forgot to say happy mothers day to al of you and yours!!!!!
stoning, you might want to play a few times to see if you like it, but there a few good things to paying.
this is what qualifies as drama? weird.
Andy is a perfect gentleman...
stoningtoncat, try just playing for a while and then pay if this is something you really enjoy. But watch out, I've only been here a week, and already moss is starting to grow!
Hi Stoningtoncat : ) You don't have to pay for membership, you can still access stats to help you complete the grid. But if you do pay, you get to use a fab little icon like ours and look fantastic, lol!! : D
but if you click the babblers anonymous link to right, then click general, then click stats, you will get some (free) clues if you need them
drama as in "as the word turns"? or as the grid flips?
LOL Ren!
FMitch - I'm guessing color is not the only thing s-head is blind to. Manners?
i was wondering how many words are in the puzzle
I'm not lovin' the d's...
Hey everyone! How's today's puzzle?
kneestabber -- run away now! Don't look back! This one is really hard (for me at least).
LOL Angel - good one.
175 words today

see i dont understand why we cant have 'dans'...cos a dan is a level of martial arts...so as a noun..it should have a plural
Night Babbler - tx for everything today!!
i don't understand why "tech" and "rescan" (and plural) are not valid
ok babbler....enjoy your supper...
good point, Rolin. If we can have 'dojo', we should be able to have 'dans'. : )
stoning, here is the link (take out the spaces): http://p105.ezboard.com/fbabbl ersanonymousfrm2.showMessage?t opicID=6.topic
y/w Angela. If in doubt, take your hands off the keyboard and walk away. Sometimes they can make your blood boil. : )

Bye -Fmitch
angela - my mother always maintains that if you eat a to 4/5 1st thing in the morning - nothing worse can happen to you the rest of the day.....of course...she failed to tell me that you die....so i guess her theory is correct...
yi4 is an offensive slang term, rhymes with a short form for children
Well after a quick 20 words I'm off for a while. Have fun!
Words to live by Ren. Or maybe not... :D
bye stabber!

I've plowed through my dictionary, I've monkey typed my little fingers to the bone, yet I can not come up with a word for sc7/32... help anyone?
Darn, I found another s I'm missing. I'm trying not to use the list, but I don't see it happening.
sc7/32 What you cut paper with...
Kitty - you use it everyday something you cut things (paper?) with singular
oh, kitty! You've used a pair before, i'm sure of it...
Damn! that was too easy! :D Why did't I see that before?!
Thank you everyone. :)
because it was easy, you were looking for a hard one!
Can anyone tell me which 7 I'm missing? I've got ca7, two di7's and sc7.
y/w it is always easy when you know it LOL
si5? ..before, I take a break..
re 7/40
thats me finished : )
that's what you're missing, I mean. it means to pretty up a picture
si5- actress who played carrie and coal miner's daughter.
Thanks, soni!! Congrats Sha!!!!!!!!!
congrats sha! thanks soni!
smithchick, we are on the same wavelength here
Yes, Leslie... Do you have all of those pesky d's?
talk about not seeing! Thanks Andy!
y/w gromit
I keep wanting to type saucy!
yep... you need some?
se 6/21 please ? Got none :-(
Well, I need 8, but I have no idea which ones because I haven't gotten the list yet. I'm about to resort to it, though. 12 left.
ok, I just go away for a few hours, and I miss all the excitement... :(
you have all the 7's, right?
one se6 is containing serum and the other substitutes the middle consonant for another. Means bristly or something. I do have all the 7's.
there's a do 4/6 that can be stretched to a 6 with a two-letter plural ending
same with a da 4/6
Andy - sorry, don't have se6/21 yet
there's also a di 6 that is di + squiggle + us 4/5 - last letter
TY, Leslie! That's one I was missing.
there's also a do 5/14 that can also be a do 5/16 if you change the fourth letter
Had the di, but not the da or do6. TY!!
also two dy's - a 4 and 5.
i think those are all the hard ones.
Much thanks! Now I'm looking for three obvious ones, I guess!
only other di 6 is something you throw in track and field. i think all others are 4 and 5s, since you have the 7s
smithchick - Thanks!! got both se6s. Did you see it Andy?
a clue for x
just got back gromit - no I don't
stoningtoncat - no X word
stoning no word starts with X
YW, gromit. Leslie, just got a do4/5 that is the most obvious verb ever. Smack head violently!
stoning, no word that starts with x... only one uses it, an ox5... a porsche bo****, minus the b
Andy - which se6?
i'm always a little bit embarrassed when my last word is a 4 :)
both please gromit
Andy - smithchick's clues: on se6 means containing serum. the other, replace middle consonant - means bristly or something.
need both is's
gromit one is plural of the other think it is a big deal and replace deal with synonym
or think current * of a magazine
nevermind! just had to concentrate a little harder
you might see a psychiatrist b/c you have is****
is...when you buy a magazine, you get the latest ...... and plural
to is*** -assign to... one who does it.
Thanks all. I was blind but now I see!!
LOL, gromit!
gromit I am still struggling with both se's - would you please have another clue?
i think someone earlier said like if a kid is in se*i*** trouble... take out the i
lemme think...
GOT IT thanks
now you can use the switch the consonant clue
good one LeslieAnn.
at least the one containign serum will think about other one thanks LeslieAnn
ugh a cannot get the last sa 5/16, 6/27 combo (from the middle s)
andy, se6 == past of "sit" plus diff spelling of "us"

Thanks smithchick can't believe I couldn't see that!
YW... I kept trying to see it from the wrong direction before I finally found it.
how about re9
re9 - church word, means to dissent from authority
looks a lot nicer in here now.
Finished!
yay smith! did you have to use the list?
We appear to be free from offensive people, evan!
hi nut... it is!
yes, evanout. I was ugly earlier
hi nut... I'm sorry I missed it all... sounds better than a soap anyday...
so dr g cleaned things up?
Yes, I had to break it out for the last 6 or 7, I think. I was missing some really easy words. OH, there is a ce6 that is just like that se6 we've been discussing. The serum one.
don't know. I think the trolls just left
i dunno sherb, i think i was propositioned by a girl.
that's impressive nonetheless smith! good job!
Does anyone need any clues before I give the computer to my son?
TY, Leslie! Especially for all those d words!
ce 6/21?
smith - re9? not following rebekb's clue (sorry!)
It sounded to me like you were propositioned by a girl. Then hurshy was propositioned by a sh**head.
If you have re6/24, turn the verb into a noun.
hahahaha
ah, to be young and dull again.
that's a true part
ella sounded a lot like someone who came on the grid a few months ago... attention seeking...
There was a good clue a while back about re9 Begin with the re6/24 after it. Replace the vowel for the first vowel (the one at the end of re6) + N**** Reagan.
i personally could go for less attention in life.
ce6/21 = archaic form of "for certain"
ce6/21 the breath ment + the two letter suffix for plural word. (vowel plus consonant)
not from you all of course!
OOps, I meant breath mint...
i got it! thanks
Well, son is looming over my shoulder. He's been very patient except that he's asked every ten minutes how many more words I had left to find. See everybody in a couple of days probably. My dad is having surgery Tues. so I'm going to St. Louis.
smithchick, hope everything goes well. see you soon.
Good luck with your dad, smithchick.
TY, Leslie... Bye all!
g'luck smith
by smith - thanks
Thanks, all! I'm really going now. My son says "They're sucking you back in"! LOL
My last missing 7 letter word, anyone have a clue for di7/32?
perceptive kid.
Got it!! re9 Thanks all. gotta take a break...
kitty, what you have after dinner, change e to i
kitty - like an after dinner treat. replace vowel with 3rd vowel
be back later...
Thank you both. Now I can go to bed a happy girl. :)
congrats kitty! bye gromit!
bye smith :D ...good luck to your dad :D
ca 6/30? ce 6/24?
ce6/24 - if you have the se6/21, just change the first letter
ce6/24, sounds like serious
oh i have that one. the other one?
ca6/30 = diff spelling of key (island), plus verb
O/T I know but I finished a sudoku!!! YEAH!!! LOL
bedtime... nite all :D
Hey all... need help with a se6/21, I have serum-like...
hey Ginger, well done!!! :D
Ginger, congrats... were you around when my daughter was playing? She's much better at it than me...
se6/21 - change the third letter to make it mean hairy
(I mean change the 3rd letter of the other se6/21)
how come sortee doesn't work?
Thanks so much (I understood, LOL)!
LOL thanks... I just finished it now... it's quiet over there chat wise.

(((chic)))
TY
re9 couldnt get it from prev clues. pl help
(((nut))), hi got the clue thanx..
Saw all the nasty biz before; you guys did great keeping our cool and all!
must not be referring to me chic
re 9 - first five letters of re 6/24 (a judge might re**** him/herself from a case) + last 4 letters of a hotel that's full (no vac****)
Well, nut, I know what you were thinking, Should I call Ranger or Joe?
rock . . . paper . . . sc7 . . .
ranger please,
Did you read '11 0n top' yet? She never said what that refered to, did she? I found a possible Ranger; want to see?
popped in for a minute before I go home and instead of crap being bandied about I see reference to two of my favorite fictional characters...... go Ranger, Go Joe... thanks for bringing me back to the reality of what is really important 8)
read it, but you've lost me, so yes...show me chic.
brb...
you like?
tks so much for the re9
yw lbetter, i went through about 4 different clues in the log before i got it!
oh chic, i don't think so.
I was refering earlier to the fact the Evanovich always uses the title of the book somehow or explains it. But I didn't see in this last book...
Help please. According to lickety's list, I'm finished. But the grid tells me No. One more "Y". Could someone tell me the 2nd letter? TYIA
CHIC - WHO IS THAT?
i think chic that it gets more difficult the higher the number, but i did have an idea when i picked it up. mind was in the gutter.
Never mind...I got it!! DONE.
Joey, that was Skeet Ulrich; he looks a little like Johnny Depp, no?
Back energized after the first 18 holes of the season -- great day!
i still think the rock
OH, Chic, yes, he does, but doesn't matter who he looks like, it is a good look. thanks
k, i'm off folks... have a great day!
oh, thanks for the diversion - have to get home, now. have a great, non-stressful time.
bye, Joey and Leslieann!
hey cuz (skittles) tell me when ur on here again i made a name finally =D
all i ask for is a nice stretch of time to sit down, enjoy my babble, without interruptions or questions or requests or demands - is that too much to ask --- all i want is a lazy sunday afternoon, now why is that so odd?
and btw - hi again!
di 6/24, please?
HK, before you sit down could you get me some coffee and the paper..? thanks ;-)
I'm on my last three words! if anyone has clues, as5/14, as5/14 and as 6/24, I have the as 5 and as6 that mean an analysis
di6/24 - something may get dusty from di6/24 in the attic (ie, no one is utilizing it)
lol jet - thx - humor always relieves my stress
was jet joking?
ty vicuna
;-)

whew - onut? hmm - i kinda like that
Well, that's done for me... anyone need help before I go watch TV with the family?
Okay, I need one more word. I have yu 4/9, but I think there's another y word? Any clues, please? :)
stuck on the as5 and as6's
hey everyone
one as5/14 means something having to do with spores, but spell phonetically the following, "If you want us to answer, you just have to as----"
yi4/7
hey angela!
Hi, Back again for a little while.
Which as5? There are 4 of them...
(((angela)))
Hey, angela... pretty icon!
Thank you Vi -- I have that one now and the one that means an analysis
hey WINKLE ;-)
40 minutes on the treadmill and hopefully my mind is clear enough to finish the last 25...
Ahh, got it! Thank you, Jera!
Thanks Jera! Hey Evan! ;)
Hey Jetx!
Do you have the as5 = membrane?
as 5/14: evaluate the precious metal content of rock as 6/24: plural of above
got those two cy, think I'm missing membrane, though I don't get it quite yet
*wishes she could do 40 minutes on a treadmill*
as 6/18: say in a definite manner
membrane one = as + swear - s
* wishes she had 40 minutes to give to a treadmill *
ca 5/14?
Jera - it's taken me since Jan 1 to work up to that :) hehe
yes, I've got membrane, missing one more a5 and a6
Well, I use a wheelchair most of the time so I guess I have a good excuse... would like to build up what I have, though!
si6/24?
Ev - this is the laziest Sunday I've had in a LOOOONG time, usually it's a struggle to find 15 min!
4 words to go. need to/516 & to6/27 please
si6/24 = command a dog to attack + able to do something (double consonant in middle)
not me angela, dedicated the day to overtime and troll hunting.
I won't complain about the stupid treadmill then Jera - I should be happy!
to5/16 = not tomorrow, then plurlal for 6
Jera, thanks, another new word for me
I do like my stationary bike, though... I have such bad balance. When it gets warmer I've promised to take my daughter out on the nearby bike paths...
pass the fish couldnt see it for looking.tks
Evana... troll hunting?? Did I miss some excitement?
I'm lucky - no overtime - I do freelance paralegal work and construction/prop mgmt so I can set my schedule. Strange combo though, I know :)
ciao for now, see ya before the flip!
ca 5/14 -- please?
angela, i can see how one would compliment the other.
I have the bike, treadmill, elliptical and stairstepper - a buffet of torment if you will.
job that is.
glad you do ev - some days I am covered in dirt and cleaning toilets, the next I'm doing a real estate closing... strange!! :)
ca + distress call in morse code, but change middle vowel...
bye all, guess I'm done, have to try to get those last two laster
ca5/14 = latin for event...
all i do is sleuth all day.
I mean later!
Oh reb, don't leave with just 2... can I help??
cybernan did my dummy clues help at all?

Thanks, jera ca 6/30?
yup angela, i'm into everyones business.
re7/40 = poke again
excellent - sounds fun...

HA!! That would be hilarious! Such material for blackmail!
yes, but according to my records, you have nothing i want, so you're safe.
you've just been cracking me up all day :)

My belly hurts! Ow! Laughing....tooo...hard...
i need more people like angela who think i'm funny.
re4/4 I have leisure room need the other one.
ev - i think you're funny
* blushes * aw, thanks hk.
proud of myself for resisting the urge to add 'looking' - lol - oh, i crack myself up
hmmph - at least you didn't say i looked like a troll.
no, but seriously - you said something earlier & i remember that i laughed out loud & then i thought, hmmm, wonder how many people will get that - it was something in the dry vein - but i thought it was hystreical
now i'm very flatter...i assume you're the only one that got it then?
I agree - those one-liners have been killing me all day!
and also hysterical (helenkeller judges beauty pageants as side job)
stopping at 132 - ironing to do (hey I made a poem) may be back latter
glad i'm amusing here. i must say. i like the center the attention, but it's hard to do between my hubby and my brother. not to mention the hubby grows jealous.
sa 5/16 -- please? (either or both)
hk - troll beauty pagents? i'll have to recommend my new girlfriend ella. have you met her?
speak softly Ev *listens for troll footsteps*
caught a bit of that earlier - again, very amusing
trolls don't step, the clomp
nan - just wanna let you know that it's true, i am ingnoring you (was hoping someone would have answered the first time you asked :) )
tks everyone got all words
gj better
I guess no one has it, Helen
sure looks that way nan :(
lbetterman -- help with the sa's please..... need both sa 5/16"s
the second sa 5/16 is the name of the hot Iraqi guy on Lost
not happy
thanks, Baron , but I don't watch Lost or much else on TV!
bottom right corner
oh nan - baronpants is right - i watch lost mostly for the hotguys - sa*** & sawyer
Have never watched it, Helen.
sa5 - sa + first three letters of jewish language
baron, would have thought you a guy from the name.
mmmm sawyer
got the last sa 5 and 5 combo -- looking for the first set now.
nan - now i watch it because i can't see how they will ever explain all the bizarre 'mysteries' of the island
nan - did you find a hotel for Amsterdam?
yes, thanks, SweetTooth -- right in the heart of the city centre on one of the canals.
yep evan - i alternate between the 2 - i read that in real life the one who's in our puzzle has been living with barbara hershey (i've always really liked her) for a long time & she's, what?, 20 years older than him!
that's great! when do you go?
ok....i survived wal-mart!!!
thanks for the clue, sweet tooth!
lol -- congrats ren -- a major accomplishment on a Sunday afternoon.
you're welcome :-)
ren - good for you! i detest walmart
last two --- both se 6/21's?
you are so right nan...just making through the parking lot is total combat!!!!
doesn't seusic mean dr. seus-like?
se6/21's - one means having serum and the other is the same but with a different 3rd letter, and means hairy
nan - sure sounds like it should
Rennie mc-walmert!
nutty mcbowler!!!!
vicuna can you give a "breakdown" clue?
how ya doin ren?
oops found one with the circlet
greatttt nut now that i'm home.....
Okay, try this: for the second one, start with swing se*, then add the middle three letters of Mickey M****
yes, you were in walmart i understand - my you must be brave to do that on a sunday.
Nailed them -- Finished!!!! -- thanks for the help everyone.
Congrats!
a lot of uncommon words in this one.
nut - it's the only time i can go..or at 2 in the morning...when no one else is around....sometimes that late it's kind of creepy.....
yayyyyy nan!!!!
congrats nan!
ren, around here, walmart is always creepy. we have some really weird/scary lookin people out here. butler is the home of endless boofers.
nut - we have about 4 walmarts within 10 miles of our place owwwwwww.....it's a strange breed that inhabits one of them.....we go there late at night to watch the strange ones who only come out at night...
anyone want a clue before I leave?
ewe, sounds like watching a traffic accident. bet it's all the trolls. did you meet the trolls earlier ren?
yup....you may be correct....
what is todays theme? i'm not picking up on it.
Mothers day (UK)
Nope, I'm pregnant so it's highly unlikely I'm male :)
congrats baron! by the way, i like your name, it just mislead me is all.
it's mothers day for our relations across the pond
bye for now -- back at the flip :)
Evening fellow babblers How is everyone. My oh my was reading back through the log and there certainly were some problems today.
Hi all. Not long got here after a weekend away. Got 149 words on paper and now I'm seeking the rest. Evanout - Today's theme, as far as I know, is Mother's Day.
later nan
The Baron is my dog (although she's a girl too) I just play her on TV (ok the internet)
see you later nan
sheryl - i got propositioned by a girl - imagine that!
what kind of puppster baron?
my it's been more than interesting then, lol
Hi Renfield!:-) How're you?
mistress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
was it more than one person that was a troll?
and did they get banned?
mistress - i braved the daylight wolrd of walmart today!!1
sheryl, there were several, and it was a first , so you know i was kind of flattered.
Border Collie/ Aussie Spepherd mix She does our taxes ;)
ah evan the first for you, lol
LOL baron
Just scrolled back and had a brief look at the troll episode. Was quite amused to see Dr_God telling 'em to fu5/13 off.
lol baron! they are smart little puppies!!!
jac, that was not dr g.
Renfield - Very brave of you! It's still called ASDA here, though Wal-Mart own it.
my puppy just smiles a lot
Evan - wasn't it? Sorry, didn't look that closely. Just scrolled back quickly as I'm not at the looking for clues for words stage yet. What happened then?
it was ray something or other with a dr g look alike icon, and a very good icon it was too.
hey everyone!!! Does any of you people know how many words are in todays puzzle?
175 words in total today.
Evan - Oh, right, thanks. I'll look back properly in a while.
what kind of dog do you have, evan?
well guys my hearts not in this puzzle today, real tired. Had friends over last night and we played cards till 4 in the morning, ouch, much to old to be doing that and I am paying for it today. Happy babbling and I will see you all tomorrow
like i say, it was quite good, but i couldn't see dr. g saying that.
baron he's a lovely mix of lab/collie
ok sheryl...get some rest....
'Bye Sheryl. Sleep well.
he doesn't do the taxes, he taxes me instead.
ren, sorry if you got 500 kodak invites, i screwed something up the other night.
no nut - i only got 2 -the 1st one w/ the bowling and the katz and puppster & 2nd w/ your mom and katz and puppsters. hey who was running away from the moo cow?
evan- mutts are the best :)
oh good! thought you'd think i was a nut - er, crazy. that's my brave dog running away from the moo cows. isn't my mom lovely?
yes - your mom is quite lovely and so are you! you are a very pretty family!
i totally agree baron! my mackey boy is the best.
pshhhhh - i only look good with make up.
don't phhhh me....
mom however is one of those looks lovely no matter what people.
heck, she looks good after a day of bailing hay.
mine to nut! i'm the only one in my family to ever have a zit...
Baron Puffpants (still love that name!) - I agree that mutts are the best. My Jack Russell x Sheltie was the best and he lived to 18 without going to the vet's every 5 minutes with ailments.
i feel your pain ren, we shall be black sheep together. me daughter of the perfect complexion and sister of the prom king. jac, my boy only had to go to the vet when my cat beat him up.
wait, that's not you in your icon ren? hmmmm
no nut..that's a barbie doll....reminds me of my mom
Evanout - Ren can never be anything other than a black sheep, being my servant. She survives on insects and rice.
LOL jac - you're crazy!
i wantd to catch some trolls for you today mistress, however, i was a little late logging on....i knew you would love to torture them!!! 8-)
hmmm. i need a servant. any volunteers?
lol nut!!!
note that no one volunteers - but i'd feed them more than bugs and rice.
happy mother's day to all the UK moms out there!! I'm back after leaving while the trolls were around (and had trouble connecting to the site...)
Never mind, Ren, my daughter caught a troll for me and gave it to me for Mother's day. It is clad in leather, has a ring through its nose and is about to play the 'axe' (A Fender Strat). It's also my daughter's birthday. (That's her drinking beer on the right in my icon.)
nut - sometimes the mistress makes me shoofly pie....
cute from what i can see jac. ren - i still got no volunteers. i'd give bread and water and everything...and i wouldn't make them wash my gutchies.
Ren- - I'm baking later. I'll make you some 'squashed fly' (Garibaldi) biscuits.
ok mistress,,,i feel better now....i was a little brought down when they got away.... hey eb!!!!!!!
Evan - I have no idea what 'gutchies' are but I think I can imagine. 8X
undies....
yeah, wouldn't make them was or starch em.
Yes, Ren, I was kind of there on that. No further description needed. LOL.
nut...we can catch you a troll.....
Starched undies??
Hello, all, just got here any clues for sc7?
evan - I was afraid the gutchies had something to do with your cow!!
Marc - it will 'cut' you in two when you find it!!
Nut - Are you a masochist? 8O
already caught one ren! remember the proposition...wink wink!
hey marc...i saw a clue earlier, rock, paper, sc*****
HI Marc, just got abck from a 2 hr walk with family thing you cut with (paper?) singular form
Hiya, Marc (my son's namesake). sc7 is one half of something you use to cut things, i.e. paper, material etc.
Thanks, how stupid could I be to miss that one.
nut...i didn;t see that!!! i'll have to read back....

Jac, your son must be a great kid. Thanks I got it.
eb....what's on your agenda for the next few hours???
ok...nut.....sorry.....
I think I have gone as far as I can tonight, still only at 133, but no time left to finish. This jasn't been my favourite grid bu any means, couldn't get on with it.
s-okay, just thought i'd try out a troll.
paying bills, calling my sister, doing my taxes...I have a whole list of things...but the pull to babble is Soooo strong!! : )
it has been one to pull at our brain exwren....or is that strain our brain???
Marc - my son is a great nearly 22-yr-old! REFRESH to see the troll my daughter (19 on 26th March/Mother's day/clocks forward day) caught for me for Mother's Day.
It's up to you EB, but I am wishing I hadn't started, I've got no pleasure in this one. So busy trying to find words, there was no time to chat
lol jac
I feel much the same as ExWren, though it sure beats standing over the kid making him finish his homework!
he is a great looking troll mistress!!!!!
Ren - There's a nurse troll that Paul much prefers. LOL.
jac/ren - you two sound like a really bad porn flick.
Wren - thanks for the warning...maybe I'll just chat!! Stid - You went PRO!! congrats!!!
mistress - does he get the nurse troll for father's day?
Evan - LOL. That's what my Paul says, what with Ren calling me 'mistress' and all that...
Ren - good idea re the nurse troll!
jac - hubby nut would get excited
Thanks. I gave up chocolate for the next two weeks to pay for it though -- so any crumbs that come through cyberspace will be appreciated...
HI stid - welcome to pros - looks like I started abbling ONE day after you
nut - i can't call her master.....i think we would be great in a jacula/ renfield movie!!!!
Is it safe to come back yet?
*passes box of chocolates to stid* to tide you over! : )
the plot is i hunt for troll instead of bugs....mistress has a great kitchen...that only opens after dark of course...
makes me glad you just call me nut
Ren - ROFLOL.:-)))))) Stidmama - Welcome to BabblePro. Chocolate crumbs firing through to you right now. Nut - I suppose your hubby wants to see the nursie troll?
Mmph! Thanxsh sho mush! [chocolate smeared over chin] Hi harp, safe enough for now!
hello I am back AGAIN!!!!
jac - no - he would want to see more of the mistress talk.
come on harp
(((shorty)))
hey hey shorty!!!!
Oh my gosh I give up now my husband needs the computer ARG!
si6/24?
Really, Evan?? *Grins* Maybe I should just go back to my Elvira, Mistress of the Dark icon then, which is my usual icon.
jane rhymes with a person who practises paganism
si6/24 - command to an attack dog + tin for food
shorty - ah, c'mon jacula - maybe i'll just send him to a 'graphic' web site? no no no, that wouldn't do.
see nut...mistress of ther dark!!! vampires....servants...
Harp - si6/24 - proper word for one who practises witchcraft.
hi & bye shorty!!
Hi there. I'm new here. I signed up to babble pro yesterday. I'm really stuck on re9/84, re5/14 and ch6/24. Can anyone give me some hints? :) Thanks.
thanks - i was missing that one as well...i forgot it..
oy - can't we just have blue skies and bunny rabbits?
Listening to my son's Mother's Day pressie now - Katie Melua's 'Piece by Piece' album.
bunny? where's the bunny?
se6/21?
harp - bunny was on earlier!! : ) Jas - sorry, I'm only in for the chat today...I have 175 words to find! : )
Harp - there are 4 bunnies up in my warren. There were once 18, but time takes its toll.
jane - passing the clues I got earlier first one - containing serum (adj) second one - flip a consonant to another one (letter no 3)
I wonder if Dr. God could either 1. add a post message button to ironsudoku or 2. take away the one in babble. I can't switch between the two. I keep hitting 'enter' to post now that I'm back on babble....
sa 5/16 anyone (the last one please)
harp - I thought it was just me making that mistake!! glad to see I'm not the only one!! First time I was on Sudoku, I was searching frantically for the post message button!!
me 2
I just want to thank Dr God, whoever he is, for giving us the stats earlier today, so we could get a head start. Thanks
so an "se6 se6" might be a bristly medicine?
Harp - I don't play the Terrible S Game, since I'm rubbish at number games, but do sometimes go in to read the chat if it's scandalous. LOL. I've asked a few times for an edit/delete facility on the chat here. I noticed someone asking for the same on The S Game the other day and Dr_God's reply was something like, 'Can you not proof read before you hit the send button?'
jasmine_ellen......Welcome, but I can't help you.....just didn't want you to feel ignored!!
got it harpjane
jac, it's not a mathematics game, it's logic. wjat doers her mean, can I prufread beforer i poset?
ROFL, harp!!
Harp - I'm not always logical, despite being a lateral thinker. Re the proof reading - You just made our case! JAMIE, TAKE NOTE!
Mind you, I guess a couple of years or so on here with no edit or delete buttons have, at the very least, led us to know each other better, and to realise that not everyone can be 'perfect', 'happy', 'not in a hurry', or even 'sober' all of the time. Maybe, that's made this community as strong as it is.
Evening everyone! May take a hit in my stats tonight. Not having much luck.
hi musis mom good to see you similar here, still 53 to go
hi musicmom!
You're doing better than me Andy. I haven't even broken 100 found yet.
jasmine - re 9 = you may need to google" a dissenter; a nonconformist
Hi EB
can I help with a meager selection of clues? :-)
sorry sports fans..my wireless...went hay wireless....
jac, i like the community reference
Maybe in a little bit. I'm going to try to focus in on the grid and do it on my own. Probably too stubborn for my own good.
ok good luck I plan to stick around fora while - with an occasional break
jas - re 5/14 = to speak again
well kids, I think I'm signing off...if I leave the grid open, I'd be tempted to start (and subsequently finish)...and I was up too late last night afert the Billy Joel concert....
Thanks Andy. i'll keep that in mind.
Oh, this is brilliant! Re the Katie Melua lyrics - she's now singing an old Willie Nelson/Canned Heat song, 'On The Road Again'.
Bye Everyone!!! ((((HUGS)))
Night EB - glad you got to see BJ.
Oops! Sorry! I just typed a word.
nite EB
ok eb....it may be a wise choice....wish i was a little wiser somethimes....
Goodnight easternblue, see you tomorrow!
MusicMon - No more stubborn than me. Are you Taurean, too?
Why yes Jac - I am --- how did you ever guess?
how many letters is the y word missing from MrP's list?
Any more clues for re9?
andy, I am stumped by eight words right now. I would love to know what the second tr 4/4 is, and the three as's that come after the as 4/5... that would start me off again, I think.
MusicMon - It takes one to know one, as 'they' (whomever they are) say...
jasmine - are you still here? ch 6 is like chevy ch**** (additional snakey consonant)
Marc : # One of the Roman Catholics in England who incurred legal and social penalties in the 16th century and afterward for refusing to attend services of the Church of England. # A dissenter; a nonconformist
re9 - start with the re6 after it, and turn it into a noun by adding the ending that sounds like First Lady Reagan
one sec stidmama - got most of them I think
How many words today?
Thanks Vic!
I love the way we have 3 or 4 separate conversations going on in here, but can sometimes all converse, but are all intelligent enough to navigate without getting offended.
Hey stoner, 175 -- some of the them are really hard (for me)
175 stoner
Vicuna and Andy thanks got it.
stidmama re 4/4 - obsolete 3rd person of thread or use first tr 4/4 and replace lst vowel by a consonant
Stoner - 175 words.
y/w Marc
I think there are two y4's
Thank you, I just got started!
Thanks Harp - I have one of them.
Thanks for the clues everyone. I'm going to have to think about them now. I got re5/14. I had actually thought I'd added that one before and didn't realise I'd missed it. Going to think about the clues for re9/84 and ch6/24 now. :)
as 5/14 Clue 1: Qualitative or quantitative analysis of a substance, especially of an ore or drug, to determine its components. Used often to analyze godd mining sam;les CLue 2: butt + speak
as 6/24 is a plural of as 5/14 I jsut gave clues for
ok...my little kitkat will not leavr my computer alone....she just walked across my note book and i ended up in cyber space....
thanks andy. Got em! Now to keep the momentum...
ah ren, my cat has been ignoring me tonight!
go stidmama go if you beat me today I'll send you a chocolate :-)
Ren - cats do that.
nut....my kitkats either sleep on me, stare at me, or walk all over me....they must think i'm a rug...
ce6/21?
dont't have that one harpjane going backwards today LOL
the cat's are so lovely! great big furry stress sucker outers.
Incidentally, did you know that the designer looking for inspiration looked at his cat with its nose on the window and its tail up towards him invented the first push-in teatowel rack? LOL.
ce 6/21 is like a breathmint + spanish for "it is"
hahaa That's great jac.
Yay!!! Just finished. This is the first time I've finished one!! :) Have to admit that I didn't do it own my own though. In addition to the hints I got here in the chat, I also consulted several of the resources linked to from the playbabble site. I'm still excited though. :) Better go do something else now!
ah man!
I\Like - I don't think anyone's weight is relevant in a word game and so, if you have nothing else to ask that is relevant, then I suggest you switch to a different site.
**F**I**R**E**W**O**R**K**S** for jasmine!!!!!!!
**YES** for **JASMINE-ELLEN** good job!
WhOOOHOOOOO JASMINE!!! Way To Go!
jac, ignore the comment and it is more likely to go away. honest.
Congrats Jasmine!!!
may i catch this troll for you mistress.......pleaseeeeee
What is with all the trolls today? Where are they coming from?
*~*~*~*~FIREWORKS FOR JASMINEELLEN*~*~*~
i dunno, but i'm about fed up. where's my glock?
ca6/30 anyone?
ilikefatchicks please go away or else we track you down and ensure you won't bother us anymore via computer
honest. ignore them. it works.
Harp - I know, but my insect-catching servant is here with me now. She will catch it and I will dispose of it. Ren - Go ahead.
now back to the puzzle 40 left
Evanonut - maybe your pepper spray and the stun gun?
oh no music mom, glock, into the foot i'm thinking
cy4?
mm - dr_g apparently publicized the site a bit more in the past week or two, along with the advent of iron sudoku and that's why we've gotten lots of newbies - including some trolls...
Andy - 13 left here to find.
Just wait - you'll be sorry. And this is the last thing you ever heard from me. Now go away to your ugly word.
yep that works!
did you know you can tella lot about the perons in the way that they write...no matter how many times they change their name on a site??? if you look back at the trolls...they all have a particular trait that is theirs alone......and it appears to be the same....
ca 6/30 is the name of a Native American tribe from southeast Washington state... actually went on a dig once in college for one of the food caches they left!
Well ... I like the newbies- I was a newbie not too long ago.
ren, their names are phrases?
newbies are fine with me... but i like them in small doses, so i get to know them
harpjane - poison
periwinkle - ca 6/30 is 3/4ths of ca4/7 and sometimes the dictionary ***ful
yes nut....they are lacking in self esteem...too bad...so sad.......
ren, lets say we skip off to walmart for a bit?
Help! second se 6/21?
ty andy. it turns out I already had it? lol
ren - are you quoting a veggie tales song on purpose or is it a coincidence?
second se 6/21 -- change the consonant after the se...
well hurshy......i guess it must be for a veggie troll....
Newbies are fine by me, too. I was also one once. However, when we all trippy trappy over the Babble bridge, trolls soon make themselves known. Harp is quite correct that the more attention a troll is given the bigger it grows. Sometimes though, you just want to give 'em a kick in the head.
maybe it poisoned your mind harpjane? y/w
lol
Four to go... only 4+ hours left... might make it today, but it'll be a cliffhanger.
evan lol - lovin' your comment of 7:20!!!
I did once tame a troll on a site but mostly I either ignore them or tell 'em to fu4/13 off.
ce6/21? it's driving me nuts!
I'm a newbie... as if you didn't notice... just joined a few days ago. Picked up the url on, of all things, the Cooks Talk site! You guys are getting popular.
why thank you hk * bows *, and on that note, i'm off to the bed.
breathmints + spanish "is" is ce 6/21
i jsut started on the ce's.......
harpjane, a breathmint with a vowel inserted before the last letter
re 6/24 anyone ? need both
ok nut....see you tomorrow evening.....
cliff, thanks found the ca6
never mind i got it la la la la LAHHH la!
re 6/24s - when a judge won't take a case - repeats

Good night nut! See you tomorrow.

Harp -ce6/21 - surname of a lad I went out with back in the 70s. Oh, you wouldn't know that, lol. It means for sure or certain (from the Latin and Spanish).
thanks hurshy got it
harpjane, guess what? bex's aunt plays harp, too, and she recruited her to play sudoku today - i think she meant sudoku, but maybe babble too. her name is harphands.
NanaC - good cooks are welcome here.
ignore her, peri
we don't need to query your mind size - it's the size of a pea.
oh hurshy....you give it too much credit!!! unless that's a mini field pea
cer6/21 - anagram of erects, secret or resect.
stidmama - thanks for the se 6/21...it was my last one.
YW cliffopa -- *C*O*N*G*R*A*T*S*!!!
yes, mini field pea, of course ren :)
Hurshy - not as large as a pea, surely?
ok, ok, i'm sorry - grain of sand suit anyone better?
Ok lets try again, Hello everybody!!

Yey Cliff.

ok so far so good no one needs the computer and I'm here for the rest of the night
geez - i've only been able to stay on for 10 minute increments today- between interruptions, etc. - hey, i get to stay on for another 10 between now & the sporanos - must go to neighbors, as i don't get that cable station

TSC...Tall Skinny Chick... i'm legal...and mean....
harpjane, me too
oh yes...i like bugs...i forgot...sorry mistress....
helenkeller, a fellow sopranos addict!!
& seems i'm missing all the excitement today - i'm a big fan of intelligent insult trading :)
ac4? I'm losing it today. too much work on taxes!

g'night andy, thanks
[[[[[[REN, SHORTY, JACS]]]]]]] hi!!!
all the ac have to do with pH!
Hi Helen :)
oh! thanks for the hint
gromit, both of the ac5's would make litmus paper the same color....
gromit - ac5 - plural of the ac4.
Music-Noway. Done. Yeah.....that has to be such a weight lifted. I know how it feels. Congrats. What color?
What is the matter Ilikefatchicks, nothing better to do?
Got it! Whew, I've got the after dinner sleepies!
iLike - since you seem to have zilch personality and even less sex appeal, I guess the answer is most definitely not.
di7/32?
I have exactly 100 words. May not get any more...teehee*
jac, you bad girl. leave him alone. honest. that's the best way.
Sorry, guys, I'm an old hand at this, I wrote the first 'idiot's guide to the net'... but sometimes, just sometimes....
stidmama thanks i have these as 5/14 's : underwater one the test one
to6/27 and the 5/16 before it?
I know, Harp, I know.
Sorry Faerie- I was in the grid - not ignorring you. It is cream on top and dark brown on the bottom. The chair rail is oak. It is a relief. I painted all day yesterday.
di 7/32 like something sweet you eat after dinner only different vowel as second letter
found the di7/32 by myself!!
peri - like an after dinner treat. change vowel to third vowel.
mistress....he's a cheap one.....no loss

Nite Peri :)
Bye Helen. Good Night
Thank you, harpjane!! ^..^
gromit, ignore it. but please give me a clue... to6/27 and the 5/16 before it?
jeffer, then I think you are looking for as + "to swear" - the second curvy consonant... it means "membranous oval or tubular spore case" [from Webster's online]
Ilike - your last post actually made some kind of sense, silly person that you seem to be. However, I still think that this is the wrong site for you. Look elsewhere. Try reunited with your old schoolfriends or something.
what part of the world are you from fatty?
hello stidmama thanks i have these as 5/14 's : underwater one the test one
Harp - are you going to finish this puzzle to*** ?
harp - what day is to***? then plural.
ty stidmama pls ignore last post
brb..don;t let fatty answer w/out me....
ah, thank you!
Ren - 11 words left here now. Still not ready to ask for clues.
harp - did you change your icon?
YW, my brain isn't working too fast at the moment, so was still trying to figure out if I was just crazy, or --? [laugh]
I sort of try to change it every day....
is it roses?
Texas is too easy a place to give to explain your moronity. This means you do not come from Texas or maybe even anyplace South.
yes, roses, in honor of the UK Mother's Day.
it kills me to ask - as4, anyone?
Believe me, iLike, you've not got anywhere near the heights my tamed troll got yet. That's not a challenge. I wouldn't even try. I'll just give him your e-mail addy.
as 4/5? as + third letter of alphabet + third vowel
fatty - are you a native texan? or a transplant?
stidmama i finally got it ty
the really sad thing is, there are probalby people who HAVE IM'd the non-texan, and who will perpetrate the problem.
Ren - if he/she or it is a Texan, I'm a Dutch woman!
TY krajc!
fatty - why don;t you quit w/ the schlock and go pro and make some friends?
check this: http://profile.myspace.c om/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.v iewprofile&friendid=33854454
ca 6/21 and ca 6/30 hint please
DONE!!! I'm done, I'm done, I'm done. With trantrum kids in the background, unruly dogs, grumpy spouse, trolls in the dungeon, and gloomy weather. THANK YOU for all the help, folks; and AngelSong, if you read this, thanks again for the lists of resources. Once again, it saved me!
yes...i know tanglewilde
ca 6/21 - misspeled first name of a boxer who later changed his name to M. Ali
jeffer -- ca 6/21 "a liqueur made from black currants" almost spelled like the framework of a car
Stidmama-Breath deep, Exhale, Breath, Exhale....lol
Andy - checked it out and it looks like most 20-yr-old males around the world.
All kinda daft!
andy, you're good. is that our guy?
yup Jacula :-)
don't know but he goes by exactly the same nick and so the chances of 2 people having same nick aer not that great
sorry tanglewood..it's really ghetto...
Gromit - Your welcome
Andy - I know lots of males that age here, due to the fact that my kids are both around that age. None of the oes I know are so stupid.
Are you gonna post his pic, Andy or am I?
ty andy and stidmama, got that ca 6/21 from yr clues
agreed My son just turned 17 so we are getting to the same age group but his interests are cars, cell phones, girls - in this order.
Actually, let's neither of us bother. We still have words to find in the grid.
ty jeffer
thanks fairiekae, I think I'll go eat something now... but I'll be back when my blood sugar returns to normal to help anyone who asks.
go ahead jac as I have over 30 to go :-(
need as5/14's, only have one.
Stidmama-later :)
gromit Qualitative or quantitative analysis of a substance, especially of an ore or drug, to determine its components. or BUTT + TALK
ro5/10? the one that's in the middle, in the vicinity of my icon?
Andy - got that one. Love your clue! LOL!!
imistress is fatty...is he a poof???
in need both ce 6/24s, any clues?
sa 5/16 the first please
sorry, knut, don't have them yet. Andy, that was a quick dinner. Did you shove down a sandwich so that you could get back quickly?
For anyone who actually wants to know, our troll for tonight is the usual kind of kid - dark hair, hazel eyes, would-be goatee, faded blue jeans, same for sweat cardiganm some kind of faded black tee with a keyboard pic and logo on it. Or is he the dark-haired one on the left in the red top? Who know? Who really cares?
ca6/30 - another spelling for key 9as in Florida) + utilize
knut one ce 6/24 is breathmint + Spanish for "is"
he's a little bitty guy...
jeffer a common term for an ascetic or practitioner of yoga it is a hinduistic word
Yep,Ren.
Hi all -- Happy Mother's Day to you abroad... May I have a clue please for the ca7 that follows the 'brief' one, and the last ca6/30? Please and thanks!
first ce6/24 - a night-blooming plant, sounds like word meaning grave and sober
Nipping off now to find my words - I've been seduced for far too long by Katie Melula's blues cd.
ok mistress -
Thanks Vicuna! I need that one too.
iLike - You have been so persistent, I think you really like this game but don't know how to socialise. May I suggest, since you are in USA, apparently, that you visit your therapist and then come back. If you are anywhere else in the world, especially UK, then pull yourself together, sober up, think again and then return.
Andy great clue ( i had been going the other way) got plural too thanks
I can't help but notice that our friend does not have any words.
ty jeffer
jacula lol lol
Jac - fantastic , love it
Thanks, Jacula :) Back to the game -- still needing a clue for that ca7 and ca 6/30 -- I've scrolled the log but just not getting the previous clues. Thanks!
that's out mistress of the dark....
ch1212 see Vicuna 8:14 i just found it (ca6/30) Thanks vicuna good clue
BRANDON FROM FLORIDA would you like me to provide a transcript of your expressions to your ISP?
ch - you may wan t to google for ca 7 of damaged or necrotic tissue; cheeselike kind of sounds like fatty
Anyone have a clue for the re 9/84??? Please :)
andy how do you find that pic I'm on that site then where do i go?
ca7 - sounds like Mr Clay the boxer, starts with suitca** + middle three letters of Mickey M****
ca6/30 - # 1. A Native American people inhabiting northeast Oregon and southeast Washington. 2. A member of this people.
{{{Shorty}}} HI!!
re9 - start with the re6 following it, and make the verb into a noun with the suffic that ends like the fist name of First Lady Reagan
HI {{{faerie}}}
Got them! Thanks Jeffer, Vicuna, Jacula and Renfield.
WAY TO GO, andy!
Vicuna - ty :)
te 5/16 has me beat too!
andy, did you by any chance recently visit Montana? (seriously. I think I met you.)
for te5/16 -- think of the pente*** -- the first five books of the Bible.
Vicuna - if I hadn''t already got that word, I would have got it from your clue. Mind you, as I may I have mentioned to you before, I do think off you fondly due to your net nick - was the name of the pine furniture company I bought my 1st pieces of furniture from, a pine dining table and 4 chairs. Still have them now 29 years on.
harpjane I live in Calgary so yes I was there a few times also I lived in San Frnaciso for a few years adn so I had a chance to drive through quite a few times
If anyone wants a soundtrack to relate to now, the one I am listening to is Aclie Copper's 'Lost In America'.
ty ch1212 good clue!
Andy, I just put it together on your earlier message to the troll --- you are indeed an officer and a gentleman. :) Thanks.
OK. You're not the person I just met. I like Calgary though. A friend of mine just moved there to take a job.
ch1212 y/w
*Alice Cooper. Track now, oddly enough, is 'Hey. Stoopid!'
andy andy he's our man..
ok harpjane - give me a ring if you are around
* blushes * thanks everyone
lol mistress....8-)
jac lol
LOL! Andy is our new hero! I say you actually provide the transcript! I have 27 words to do. D and H words. Somehow I feel like saying D it to H but I can't make that fit!
Sorry didn't mean to drop off. My sister called. Into the grid for more words.
got 23 to go harpjane
(((andy))) thanks. I'm not good at confrontations, and that person was icky.
I'll save the transcript just in case
Sorry, Jac, not responding well. (I do remember your mentioning your furniture before, though!) I'm in the middle of taxes, and only giving intermittent clues when there's a pause in my duties!
Sometimes I think people should remove personal pictures from the icons, etc. when we have a rude visitor.
so I'll be here off and on until the flip, anyone need (and/or want) help with a word or two?
harpjane sometimes it would be nice to have tools to remove unwanted guests
btw andy, where's the chocolate? [grin]
Well a few of us contacted God. But evidently she's not on line right now.
cu 6/24 ch 6/24 please
harpjane, I agree -- this was because it's Mom's Day and so I used a 40 year-old pic of my mom. It's not me. :) But you make a good point.

sa 5/16 and the one immediately following has to do with Hindo (?) holy men: there is a Canadian men's figure skater whose last name is similar, but you have to drop the "n" from his name.
I'm missing one of the as5/14, 6/24 combos. I know people keep asking, but it seems like they always receive the same clue, which is the one I have (testing minerals.) Can anyone help with the other?
Me too, Vicuna! Thanks for asking!
BRANDON You really don't want to know. Let just say I was in the military, ok? FYI I am saving a fukll transcript and as you may know it won't be difficlut to get your IP and track you down. OK? Be a good boy and get lost.
