es8/40 brand name for petrol + n4 sort of word meaning dark
wow, mr. president. they're clapping for you on both sides of the aisle

I must call it a n4 sorta word.
LOL... my clues are usually more clueless!
mo7/36 is an anagram of the other mo7/36 .... COOL!
and to elaborate... to be more 'down in the chops' than usual! is one of the mo7's and the other is a brazilian gold coin
mo7/32 to be more of an orbiting satellite than usual
tr8/45 - to be more fashionable
ok, exhausted!! someone else take over here cause I have dinner to cook!! btw xe7 = xe + beautiful smelling flowers
As a Star Wars fan I really want "droid"
can anyone please give me a clue for the di 6/24
Sounds like a woman's name, plural, but change the second vowel, Ruthy.
nm, that's the 6/21, sorry.
ruthy, di6/24 made of two 3 letter words, 2nd one what you use to catch little fish
ty davetins
yes, thanks davetins... didn't have that either, haven't long got here. Nice grid, though, isn't it? :)
i could only find one word with the x...is there another?

How many words please - no brandy jack

You can heck out Angelsong's Babble page (one of the links on the right) for informal babble info :)
cool thanks
Good morning! Is anyone else watching the eclipse??
Good morning, Jera. As usual there are too many clouds in the sky to see anything, but it is getting darker.
hi ya gelababe - I'm on 75
Well, we're not actually getting it IRL in the states, I'm watching live on-line. My son keeps insisting it's a crescent mo4/5...
thats me finished .bye all
75 found or 75 to find?
77 found - trying to get the bigger words first today
I have 72 found. Work is getting in the way!
Any clues on the 9 letter words
di9/60... state of being filthy (begins with di4/5 ends with ne4/4) mo9/66... state of being unhappy ... ends the same way.
Afternoon Babbelistas! This one looks much more to my liking. How many wordies today?
te9/66 water temperature +ne4/4
hi amanda :) 271
ty davetins :)
Thanks, I don't have ne yet though
Hi Trish! Ahhh - and it's rainy outside too. Perfect!
just look for the popular 'ne' ending, and that's your ne4/4 word :)
Hiya, everyone!!!!! Now, about my icon....... I'm not actually frightened of them myself, but I wonder if anyone else is.......
my nieces are afraid of one of my cats (the one i'm using for an icon today) - his name is Beethoven. they say he looks mad.
Hi musicmom, hi cliff! Cliff, mad as in crazy or angry?
they think he looks angry 'cause his face is all squished up.
Sorry, wrong MM - hi movieman, not musicmom - unless musicmom's here too, then hi
Hiya, amanda..... So, does my icon scare you......?
nahh - spiders don't bother me much. I'm more a snakeophobe. Theme of the day is scary things, I take it? anybody put a picture of W up yet? That would be mine if I were pro
Actually, amanda, the theme is "our pet phobias", but I couldn't think of anything that scares me, so I chose something that may scare somebody else!!!!!
It's actually phobias: unnatural fear of something not really dangerous...
i lived on a poultry farm 20+ years ago - talk about spiders. some were as big as a kitten!
Oh. Then I guess I'd save Georgie-Boy for another day, since I don't think that's an unnatural fear and he _is_ really dangerous. Crowds are my pet phobia, but a picture of a bunch of people wouldn't say too much, would it. I broke 100 all on my own! going to cruise the log for some more...
hi, all. I've been lurking for a while. di6/24, following the two di5/12's? di9?
di 9 is the quality of being filthy. The di 6 is a combination of a quick insertion into water and what you use to catch a small fish.
Hi angel!
morning all. hope you enjoyed yesterdays late night intrusion from TSM, Amerine and myself. big puzzle today
great clues haz
hi, amandacath. I've only got 93 words to find.
capone - that was rather entertaining
Thanks, cliffopa - glad if they helped.
after staying up so late, i woke up in a puddle of dr/5 this morning :/
Capone - I suppose I'll have to scroll back to yesterday's log. Or is it something that should have been kept private?
as long as it was your dr5 and not someone elses...
no, it was funny. i checked way past my normal time and saw the controversy brewing about TSM and I (long distance relationship to make a long story short), so the three of us had to jump on. Am (TSM's older sis) hasnt had the time to really "play" babble yet, but after all the fun in chat log, I think she's hooked.
If I get this grid finished in good time, I'll have a look. Is it a grizzly I see before me?
so in the future when I'm being an ass about not spending time w/her and she gets her feelings hurt, it's all in playful fun. She's in IL I'm in FL (for now). End of story.
Reading the story of your and TSM's spats makes my almost 24 year marriage seem very dull - but give me dull! I'm too old for all the drama.
i agree with you haz. no more drama. of course, if your other half won't cooperate - then what?
Hello everyone. I see Mordor isn't allowed. No surprises there, then.:-/
I suppose you keep the drama as undramatic as possible.
Hello Jacula.
my latest solution is to play babble and ignore the drama. it works.
Hi Jac, Haz!
Hi Haz. What letter will you be typing today for hubby - how to clear foot rot in sheep or something equally gruesome?:-)
amanda - how is the grid suiting you today?
lol, agreed, too much drama makes baby jesus cry.
I've got 103 words left to find and am loving this grid. Thing is, now I've 'smoothed out' some of those 'ir' words I am reminded of what I *should* be doing.
my progress on this grid is depressing. i've never attempted one with this many words.
You can laugh, but some of the stuff I've churned out over the years has been unbelievable! He does tend to specialise in dairy work so I'm well used to all the talk of mastitis etc. The funniest ones are the certificates to explain why a bull is infertile!
I've just "checked" mrp's list, and I've discovered that there's a 7 letter word beginning with "yp"........ Now, you don't seriously mean to tell me that one ISN'T made up.......
lovely, thanks haz! This is much more to my taste!
Haz - now those would be worth reading!
How cynical of you, movieman! - I mean, our initial reaction to seeing xy9 would be disbelief but it's a normal word.
Movieman - it's mustard gas.
Jacula - those certificates are done for insurance companies. Farmers buy bulls on the strength of them being fertile. If they prove to be useless, they have them destroyed and the insurance company has to pay out.
Thanx, jac.......
Haz - It's a good thing that doesn't apply for humans!:-(
y/w, Movieman.
i was just going to say that jacula
LOL, Cliffopa.
You're right!
Anyone got the other mo7/36? MrPres says both are anagrams of the other - I've got the state of mind one, she says the other is a brazilian coin, but I can't make it work...
how many words are there today?
The other mo7/36 is French for me. followed by do4/5
500
WOW, this is my first huge board
Behave Capone - there's only 271
please, if there were 500 i'd shoot myself now and get it over with quickly!
Capone! *Raps knuckles.* 271 words today.
thanks, haz!
might as well be 500 for me, i'll get about 100 between work and walking the drama llama
that was a mean trick, thanks for setting it straight
Good morning, uneaixoise!
do me a favor, make tomorrow spider day for avatars
The di6/24 plz.....
Got it - thanks Haz. BRB, gotta run to the store...
good morning!
That's a great idea, capone, then I won't have to change my icon.....!!!!!!
i'm hoping it isn't busy at the office today so i can sneak some babble time in at work.
di6/24 - quick insertion into water of tool used to catch small fish
lol. TSM loves teh spiders
Damn, I already had the di6/24, but thanx anyway haz.....
Thanks, Haz. I didn't have that di6/24.
Gotta go, it's lunchtime..... Be back soon.....
Breaking for lunch - see you later.
Ditto.
any clue for mo7/36. the second one?
2nd mo7 is more mo4/6.
Oops!
I'm back - did I miss anything?
Amanda - I'm off to lunch and Movieman and Haz ditto. Just going to put up stats for non-pro's and then will bbl.
*walks in grumbling* stupid coffe maker, coffee all over my counter and down the cabinets and on the floor...I did not wake up this morning just so I could clean the kitchen first thing. there....HI EVERYONE :)
Morning, faerie... poor thing!
FAERIE!
Hi Jera thanks.... Hi Capone *wink* had fun last night how about you :)
TODAY'S STATS: 271 words total 4-letter words 106 5-letter words 85 6-letter words 50 7-letter words 19 8-letter words 8 9-letter words 3 1st letter count: D - 47 E - 11 I - 23 L - 15 M - 25 N - 16 O - 13 P - 20 R - 38 S - 25 T - 31 X - 1 Y - 6
hugs faerie, and coffee coming thru the aether
oh yea....was a blast those two hens (TSM and Am) kept me up past midnight with all their cackling on the phone.
oh and apparently I ate our baby
Thank you Amanda - I like hugs...
Capone - The dingo ate your baby!
oreo isn't in the puzzle?
OMG is Dingo a word today....looks at grid nope..don't have a "g"
Capone it is very possible that you did...
Hi everyone. any clues for the ey words?
Refresh new icon
Faerie - you're afraid of disney figures?
Amanda - I have an extreme phobia ... so disney is as close as I ever want to be to one of these rodents.
Ahhh - i get it
Faerie
Capone - why did you eat your baby?
Faerie
Back from lunch - hello to all who have come in while I was away.
Hi Haz :)
Faerie
Capone
MOUSE!!!!
WHERE?
Capone turn your cats loose.
OMWTFBBQ!!! ITS UNDER YOUR COMPUTER CHAIR!
*standing of desk trying to type*
Morning everyone!
Hi Jen!
Greetings, all... I have returned after throwing half the people out of my house (the littlest littlie is staying home today).
Good Morning Jen:)
morning Jen and Jera
Jera - my sister Linda has a terrible phobia of chickens and roosters also....She doesn't even like feathers.
50 down, time to get some work done. bbl
{{{JEN}}} You have inspired me to create an icon for my Final Four local team... but I'm not using it today... my phobia is an interesting one (or at least amusing).
hi everyone! trying to get a leg up on this one - it's long!
um.....yea sorry for the spoiler
ok my phobia is Ticks and theres no way I'm putting one of those NASTY things up so I can see it
Mornin, TO! I'm stuck on the tr7/28 - probably something completely obvious. Any help?
Any particular reason, faeriekae? I don't much care for any birds IRL. Birdwatching with binoculars is about as close as I care to get to the feathered fiends.
Hey faerie, amanda, Jera, cap! :) Bye cap!
{{{Shorty}}} - I don't blame you.
shorty! so you didn't like the Tick tv show/cartoon?
and hello to everyone!!!
LOL capone
morning shorty!
Hi shorty - is the dog okay?
3 more words to go before I am halfway & can cheat, er, I mean look at bj's list...
Jera - we grew up on a farm so maybe so got pecked by one not sure...the thing we me and mice....probably came from playing in the corn crib...not sure...I just know that if you put a mouse and chicken in the room with the two of us we would both die togather.
yes she is fine ty for asking
Haz - what is your pic? can't make it out
I was spurred in the face by a rooster when I was 5 while I was feeding the filthy beasts... we had a farm & that was my job. Guess what we had for Sunday dinner the next week? I watched the execution... ah, memories...
I'm not afraid of mice as both my cats are champion mousers!
It's to represent my fear of heights. It's Carrick-a-rede rope bridge on the North Antrim coast. Used by fishermen and mad tourists to access a small offshore island.
LOL Jera - I was attacked by a chicken when I was small she latched onto the back of my leg and tore her spur on in my leg...same thing...Sunday dinner.
Shorty - glad to hear she's fine.
lol Haz - It looked like an elephant to me...but now I see it...fear of heights is no fun...no fears are funny tho.
ah, good choice. I dont much like heights myself
My feeling is that if you get too close to the edge you will be 'drawn down'. I never get too close to the edge, just in case!
Heights I don't mind... unless it's on a bridge! So Haz, your icon is perfect for me!!
ty Haz
It's a rope bridge, water hundreds of feet below, the thing sways in the wind, and people queue to go across!
just popped in to say hi and good luck!!! Big grid!! : o ! : D
Hi Babbler :)
Haz, are you afraid of heights then? I am!! Mine's a man standing on the edge of a cliff. ... !!
Did anyone get to see the eclipse? It's cloudy here, so no chance
Babbler - I have to look away from your icon - he's going to fall any minute...
hi babbler!
From what I could understand, up here in DC, we were too far north to see the eclipse. :(
amandacath, the UK wasn't in the eclipse's path, but I knew it was happening this morning. (slept through it, however, lol!) : )
Amanda - I didn't see it. Was cloudy here also.
hi everyone!
Hi Atalante!
Morning Ata - yuck slugs...
Haz, it's a good 'un, isn't it? ; ) you're not wrong about feeling like you might be pulled over the edge - the head is the heaviest part of our bodies, and if we lean too far forward, we might well topple... : /
Hello Atalante - a slug, ugh!
getting out the salt for Ata. lol
Babbler - so I'm not just imagining it? I'll still stay right back, just in case.
Lots of eclipse pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/t ags/solareclipse/ - While the UK did not get a total eclipse, we did get some of it, take a look at the BBC News site, they have pictures all over the UK of the eclipse
eewww - slugs are gross! especially when you step on one barefoot!
I hate slugs! and I agree amanda - stepping on them barefoot is one of the horridest things ever!
bbl - going to shower.
bumper u lurking?
Haz's icon is a bridge? I thought it was a stone elephant. It's fun to be half-blind!
Jen, I watched the eclipse on-line, a live webcast from Turkey. It was awesome!
Jera - it's only when Faerie mentioned it that I could see the elephant in the background! It's a bridge!
te 9 and te5/14 before it, please?
thanks David. I saw that we'd be under a shadow or whatever it's called. I'll go have a look... : )
Neat Jera! I haven't seen a full one since I was in 1st or 2nd grade... we all made eclipse watching boxes. cool.
te9 = the state of being te5/14... add the scottish lake monster
TO - the te5 is water temperature, the 9 is the state of it
I'm sorry, my 9 clue didn't help much... te5/14 = room temp water
and the t's ar slain - thank you all! : D
TO - can you give me the tr 7/28?
Yippee... halfway!
tr7/28: chemical compound with 3 double bonds
mo9?
never mind. got the mo9
might pop back later.... : D good luck with the monster grid, everybody! xxx
oh, that. well, at least i know what it begins with... mo9: state of being during PMS?
271 words?! I shoulda started 8 hours ago... >.< Good morning, all!
ah, got the tr7
Morning, knutmeg!
There are (at least) 2 mo9's... one is how you feel, one involves a celestial body
Whew! Those T's were terrible!!
Jera, those mo's are 7s not 9s, aren't they?
jen: the s's are not much better : (
TO, I'm starting to notice that! Without a darned A, this is hard!
You are right amandacath, sorry about that... thansk for catching my mistake!
I'm back, everyone!!!!!
Yes jen, the t's were bad and I have yet to find three of them, but I have just got to my pet hate, (if only I could have found an icon to depict them), it is the re's!
there's an mo9/66 related to feelings
wb, movieman!
Ah yes, the re's... those are my phobia!! Maybe I should have made an icon with re on it! LOL
*yawn* morning/afternoon folks
The 1st do5/16 plz.....
hi hursy! nice icon
oh, you think? i was afraid it was unreadable, so tiny.
i was just able to make it out
hi, can i have a clue for di6/24 please
me too - but then, i knew what it said - so it's good to know someone else got it too
What about my icon, hursh.....? Does it worry you at all.......?
My phobia is getting my eyes poked out -- there's no way I was posting a picture of that!
How about this one then jen?
scatty - the di6/24 is what you might use to get guppies out of the aquarium
di6/24 - quick insertion of something used to catch small fish
no, yours is ok movieman.
Don't you come near me movieman!
do 5/16 Make the vowel double, then add adverb ending
perfect exwren! :)
of course it did say "pet phobias" so i could post a picture of a backhoe - my cat marty is horribly afraid of them.
Jen, here's a tribute to your phobia (refresh)! :-)
OK. Now I have to fight my phobia
At last, I've found someone who's an arachnophobe!!!!!! *LAUGHS EVILLY, A LA VINCENT PRICE*
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! Running away from all the R's!!!!!!
personally, i'm MUCH more afraid of weird things like that TM word we had a few days ago than i am of R's.
cllue for the first do5? THere is a nifty yp word today.
Could anyone inform me as to the whereabouts of the enable word list? I've tried the link on Angelsong's page, but it doesn't take me to it......
Angel - 1st do5 I've got it "Tom Do***" - don't know if it's actually the first one though
do5 - repeat the vowel, then add adverb ending
movieman, there is a link to the enable list on the resource page...
Angel, that's where I'm trying to get to it from, but I keep getting a screen that says "Firefox can't find the file at /gj_babble_db.txt." What is going on......
Faerie! Refresh for my new avatar.
movieman...the link for the enable list on the resource page does work for me.
still cannot get the di 6/24, the way my brain is working today i need a really easy clue
anyone else find it ominous that mordor is in the puzzle?
So how come it doesn't work for me, then....? Without the list I'm at a loss, because I rely on it to help me with m,y last few words.....
movieman, you can't access Brandyjack's list??
and Mordred, if that's your fanatasy of choice
Works for me too, MovieMan - try copying the link into a new browser window maybe?
No, une, I can't access the Enable word list......
movieman, what about Lickety-splits list? That's where I went to this morning
di6 - first three letters to put something in water quickly - last three letters - fish** stockings.
im on the list now, had no trouble getting into it
movieman, try clearing your cache
won't take endor either - poor ewoks
Or sodor... poor Thomas the Tank Engine!
thanks Haz, i must have monkeyed typed every way but that
Glad you've got it, scatty.
Howsabout if someone posts the address for the Enable list, then I'll see if that works.....?
Is there a definition for that 1st do5/16?
Here you go: http://www.photosphere.us/ gj_babble_db.txt
Hi all. I'm back again. ExWren - I've made you an icon. REFRESH to see it.:-))
Just tried the address, and I still can't access it.....
hi jacula
I had the enable list on my hard drive until Angel gave us the link to it - don't remember where I got it though, but it wasn't difficult to find
anyone have a clue for do 5/6?
Hey Jac! movieman, did you make sure you took out all extraneous spaces?
wow movieman, great minds think alike when it comes to icons. ;)
Jen - I certainly did.....
getta - put ie on the end of 4/6
http://www.photosphere.us/gj_b abble_db.txt
I've managed to access the list at last, but only by using AOL, instead of Firefox...... Which means I'll have to stay online for as long as it takes me to finish the puzzle.....bloody hell!!!!!
is Faerie still on?
MovieMan - you can download it here: http://personal.riveruse rs.com/~thegrendel/software.ht ml
I've finished and am heading off for a walk with the dog, making sure I keep away from sheer drops, slugs, birds, spiders and snakes. The last one is easy, as we have none on the island of Ireland. The rest will demand concentration!
do 5/16 - A kind of litter suspended from men's shoulders, for carrying persons or things; a palanquin Indian, looks like
Thanx for that link, amanda...... It's solved all my problems.....

do5/18 = like the end of the world
Help please, with the es8??
Jera - a mineral made from a brand of petrol?

clues for the last do5/16?
Angel - grand old lady.
Sorry ! Old man!
Jacs: grand old man for the do5/16? I don't get it at all.
Wow! I've finished - 3873 pts today
Jacs, got it! I'm used to seeing the feminine form of that word.
kudos, spellit!
Angel - do + Chinese currency.
WTG spellit!
Well done, Spellit.
Angel. Me, too, hence my original mistake.
Cup of tea called for I think or something stronger maybe
WTG spellit. Thx for the do - needed it too
What 8s am I missing? di8/45 es8/40 ri8/45 ti8/45 tr8/45
in7?
mi 8 missing
mi8/45 builds from the mi4 amanda
Aha - got that one, thx spellit
Angel - in7 - a writer, one who in6/21s.
amandacath - you're also missing so8/45
Can I ask a technique question of you guys? When working from the list, di* words for example, do you start with the small words or big words first?
Also re8/40
can I have another clue for mi 8
i think we all do it differently. when i have used the list extensively, which i haven't lately, i do the short words first bc they are easier to monkey, then i know what the longer ones come in between.
Guarana - I do as many words as I can myself, consult the list and then fill in alphabetically, without regard for length of word. Others will do it differently.
gela - state of being mucky
re8 /40 is plural of re7 /28 - a face cream ingredient
Hmmm.....odin isn't acceptable..... That's bad news for the inhabitants of Valhalla, then....
guarana: I usually start with what I can see first. then, if I work with a list, I fill in what's missing. But others may use a different approach. Do whatever works best for you.
proper name, of course, movieman
ooh, ooh, i greyed a box!
No "droid" either nor "drey" squirrels nest
I know, hursh..... Just thought I'd liven things up a bit.....LOL
gelababe - I'm on 96 but struggling with the mi8 same as you
ok, so i need so8 and es8...
yay - got the re7&8 - thought that would a trademarked name or something. Guess not!
on 112 - still don't get mi though.
The mi 8 ends in the monstrous ne4/4
star trek fans: mi8 starts with the name of a young girl whose name was the title of the classic episode in which she appeared, featuring purple blotches who appeared on any kid who finally reached their long-delayed puberty
Guarana - I find as many words as I can throughout the day, regardless of length or starting letter, and then consult the lists to fill in the gaps at the end of the day. There are clues on the log in between times, of course. Once stumped, I'll ask for clues before I'll use a dictionary. But that's just my way of doing things. As the others said, do whatever works best for you.
wow, excuse my poor grammar, too much of a hurry
THX HAZ
You're welcome, michaeleden.
i got mo9, do either of the other 9's end the same?
hurshy - I need the so8 too. The es8: name of petroleum brand + not-daytime. I hate that episode - Kirk and his icky penchant for little girls
One does.
Correction, there are two others.
amanda - he didn't actually DO anything to her - just made yeoman rand jealous
so haz, you are saying all 3 nines end the same way?
Yes. All end in the same way.
so8: think fish in a can, crowded together, but change the first vowel.
thanks! I'm going to stick with my "by the list method" for the reason you all suggested: it works best for me :)
Yeah, I know, but I still find it pretty slimy.
praes r u here
But it's comforting to know that, if there is life out there, it consists largely of young babes in skimpy costumes!
ty amanda and angel for the record, miri's costume was not at all skimpy
Thx Angel! Finished the 8s. For you maybe, editer. I'm just glad they got rid of Deanna's galactic cheerleader outfit. I don't want to have to wear that when we finally get there!
Can someone help me with the ni7?
ok, why isn't deodor a word? deodorant needs to have something to do!
Hurshy - I've been thinking the same.:-)
Sorry jen, I'm stll working on the in7 writer one. doesn't seem to pop out at me...
only one sad x and i can't get it
in7 - in + di4/5.
Good morning, all. hurshy, I like your sign! You too, jacula. My phobia is bees, of course -- this is an Africanized Killer bee. I actually have studied them in a fruitless effort to desensitize myself. Ah, well. One more reason to live in very cold climates :)
xe + flowers
* + one last letter.
hurshy - the xe clues are in the previous messages
oh, just want to know how long it is.
Hi ch1212.
Thx Jac - didn't know that word
Sorry Hursh - didn't mean to spoil the fun
Jen - xe7/48.
ni7 plz?????
*Sorry. Meant the xe length for Hurshy.
just scanned the last few minutes of the log. Hurshy, love the Star Trek clue. Can you name the famous movie the actress who played Mi** was in, and her very famous costar? :)
xe7 - well no wonder i didn't have it!!!
ri8? it's my last 8...amanda, can you help?
amanda - THANKS for spoiling the fun, i wouldn't have got it. ch1212 - i can if i cheat and look in IMDB... :)
Angel - state of being mature
ri8 fruit hopefully has this quality
Angel - ri8. You squeeze fruits to test for ri8 before buying them. (Or at least you do when the greengrocer isn't looking!)
No cheating! Besides the classic episode, it's really the only other thing she's known for. And the only reason I saw the movie was because she was in it. (ANYTHING ST related, at the time.)
ch1212 - i'm 28, so only watched classic trek in reruns - if the movie is from the time trek originally aired, i prob wouldn't have seen it
8's and 9s are done, as are all D's. have 3 more 7's to find...
Oh, okay... Kim Darby co-starred with John Wayne in 1969's True Grit.
Well, I'm taking a break with 80 left... got a fierce slepp deprivation headache from getting up so early this morning after a late night... later, all!
thanks for the trivia, ch1212!! i have 2 more 9's and 11 more 7's :(
seriously guys, I really am not seeing the ni7...
ch1212: Kim Darby was Miri???
jen - would that i could help you!
ch1212 - I cheated at checked imdb - she's actually done quite a lot of stuff. One of those "fill-in" actors, looks like. Always around, but never made it big
Jen - Sorry, haven't got the ni7 yet.
yes indeed angelsong. 1969 was also the year I actually met WILLIAM SHATNER when he was doing a promo in Hawaii -- I was living there, and was chairperson of the Star Trek Association of Frantic Fans, in our letter-writing effort to save the 3rd season.
wow, ch1212, what is it like to be such an important part of history?????
Unfair! If I nod twice, doesn't that mean I 'renod'?
and anyone with kids knows you often have to retidy
And well before the days of ST paraphenalia going mass market, I had a friend whose cousin worked on the set, and I got an ORIGINAL uniform patch. !!
and if i put the pigs back in, then i repen them
omigosh, you are the luckiest person in the world!!
oooooohhhh - jealous, ch1212!
if i stumble again, don't i retrip?
LOL hurshy, though in Star Trek land, it is very important history. The series (and spinoffs) have certainly influenced not only science, but philosophy and culture.
ch1212 - i was NOT being sarcastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
I keep trying to tell my mom that, ch1212, but she's not buying.
i keep wanting to put in soldier
I agree, hurshy -- I know you are a serious fan too. I'm not as involved as I once was - haven't been to a convention in some time. But I have met Gene Roddenberry, Majel Barret, Leonard Nimoy and once I saw Walter Koenig from a distance. :)
Just got done with a 4 disc box set called Star Trek: Borg Fan Collective. Some of the better Borg focused eps in chronological order from Enterprise, TNG and Voyager.
Hurshy - If you take a personal pronoun out of that military man you have an so 6/21.
i have only met nichelle nichols, i am a sad sad girl. i would like a Q collection if they have one!
capone, I'll have to look for that. The Borg were arguably the most inventive, ingenious villians ever created in the ST universe. I actually had nightmares when they first debuted.
i know jac, i have that one.
Other than TNG and the movies, I'm not a huge Trekkie. I'm more of a Highlander/Batman guy.
anybody know how many points the ni7 has? Maybe that will help. I can tell you it's NOT "more like ni5/10" - I've tried it over and over
Yea, they need a Q set!
oooh, jealous, hurshy! Nichelle was my hero as a young woman. I seriously considered NASA because of her. And I adore Q.
amanda, it's ni7/28
i really think Q is right, jean luc DOES get too uptight around him.
ugh - well, it narrows it down, at least
Capone, I was late coming to the Highlander movies, but then finally 'got it' and own the set. Wonderful. And Burton's original Batman is a masterpiece.
Oh, indeed -- that's why Q and Jean Luc play so well together. In many respects they are the antithesis of each other.
YESSSSSSS! I finally found it!!!!! It's similar in sound to the ni6 just after it, but it uses 2 vowels instead of the sometimes vowel.
Okay, now I've started on ST... I better stop right now or I won't get any babbling done on the grid, only in the log :D
but it's weird, bc while picard IS sort of a stiff person, he is never as stiff as when Q comes around.
ooh, thanks jen
Well, got them - what on earth do they mean? Hotels maybe?
I actually like the latest Batman better than the Burton versions. I'm such a Bat-geek, I bought a 2 disc set of some 1943 B&W serials. Setting was in LA and B&R were working for the US government to foil the "Jap Threat". A lot of racist remarks in that 17 episode series that wouldn't fly these days. Highlander 1 was awesome. They should have made the sequels prequels and the Adrian Paul version should have been set in the same timeline leading up to HL 1.
Adding to the discussion, even though I have all 10 Star Trek movies on Special Edition DVD, I still cosider myself more of a Star WARS fan......
capone, I have to agree on Highlander 1 -- best by far. My beloved and I went to see the latest Batman, and I thought it was as good as the first Burton. Love the dark character development -- he does everything for a reason.
Amanda - I've just found them, too. They are night clubs.
every time i think i can't get anymore i see a really easy word...
okay, I'm getting sidetracked again, but movieman, I have to confess -- when the original Star Wars came out, I was such a science (and science fiction) snob that I wasn't going to go... I mean, explosion sounds in space? Beautiful damsels? Give me a break. Then I went, and within 10 minutes I was cheering. Humility never felt so good.
I've just found the first two so words, and I really should have seen them before..... Bugger.......LOL
Yea, Burtons Bat was awesome (esp compared to the Silver flicks), but the current Bat will be the best IMO if they continue following the "Year One" storyline. Don't be shocked to see Ras Al Ghul turn up again, he was immortal after all.
LOL, Movieman.
i get so annoyed with people who don't even know the difference between star trek and star wars. this is what i tell them: star WARS is a long time AGO in a galaxy far far AWAY, and star TREK is in the FUTURE in OUR galaxy.
it's true, that IS a big difference, hurshy
hey buttwart!!! :)
thanks for the heads up, capone. hurshy, I like that explanation!
I loved the episode of the original ST when Darth Vader got caught in the Enterprises lavatory with a cardboard tube and a tribble.
Wow - this is Geek Central Station, isn't it. I feel right at home!
capone!!! lol
Hi all........
:( hurshy ... you cut me deep, you cut me real deep just now
what?
you had to know i was gonna do it... :)
if i KNEW, i might have said something else, so as to distract you from doing it ;)
LOL capone -- :D :D
Hi Caitlyn!
i thought you were going to embrace it, anyway?
oh whoops, i did say that. ok nm ;)
i just finished sudoku - an actual medium today
i have not got to sudoku yet, too many babble words!
OK i canNOT find the other two nines.... what do they start with, i have the mo.
Well hursh, ST could be set in the same universe as SW. Kinda like the original version of "Highlander 2: The Quickening" (before it was "fixed" and repackaged as "The Renegade Version"). ST crew travels from the past into the future and is immortal, then when only one remains they turn mortal until more people from the past enter the future and the game begins anew. Um, yea....
husrhy, there's a d9, m9, t9
hursh, the 9s are di, mo, and te - all states of being something
Any hints on the di 6/24?
hurshy there is a te9
wow - you have a vivid imagination! BUT, the other difference i tell people is that star wars FEELS very different bc it is this tiny band of good guys against this huge evil empire, whereas in star trek the good and evil forces are more evenly matched, being modelled after the cold war.
Hi all! And whoa, that is a SPIDER! creepy....
the d6/24 you might use to get guppies out of the aquarium...
ah, thanks to the 9 cluers :)
why isnt the plural of the mo animal a word?
Shall we bring Firefly and Battlestar Galactica into the conversation?
because the proper plural IS mo5
131313, because it's like the word fish -- both singular and plural
Hello all :) so theme for icons is what we are afraid of huh? refresh if you can't see mine :)
woohoo, done with 8's and 9's! not close on 7's though.
hm. bummer
Amandacath!! YES! We are HUGE galactica fans at my house. What's not to love? The show, sci-fi or not rocks.
Ooops, my bad. Actaully the scenario I explained was the H2RV fix. The original H2 was set up as immortals came from a planet called Zeist. And when they were exiled to Earth they became immortals....
just been reading back in the log - there is a Q box set ... I've got it :)
Hi TSM I have the same phobia but couldnt stand to put a picture of them up !! How was scan last night?
Really Ata? I'll have to look for it.
ooh, ata, buy it for my bday? :)
TSM!!! Since Faerie isn't here to see the icon I put up for her, I'll switch tou yours.
The itsy bitsy spider went up the water spout... Down came the rain, and washed the spider out... Up came the sun and dried up all the rain... And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again... ...and onto my face while I was sleeping. Spiders freak me out! :(
its called the Q Continuum
and it's fab, of course!
How many words today? I can't use the links at work!
on DVD, ata? amazon not finding it :(
new avatar, refresh
TSM, Capone...... Great minds think alike.......
I would have been happiest if they'd just left Highlander alone. I don't like ANY of them except the 1st one, movies or TV. Battlestar is great - a bit wierd, but that's the fun. I'm really interested to see how it all comes together! I'm a huge original StarWars fan, and was painfully disappointed with all three new ones (don't get me started)
oh, found it, diff title, not yet relased... wonder if diff in britain??
I don't think its on DVD, I've got it in a v cool video box set thing from many years ago!
well they are doing it on DVD comes out june 6 there is a time travel set too...looking at it...
Yea, but I'm not scared of spiders. I put this just for her.
oh cool! now ... to buy it again on dvd or not? *ponders*
highlander 1 was brilliant. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!
Has anyone else realised that all the letters are in the grid for the word "SPIDERS"......LOL
Highlander TV show was entertaining (mainly because I like the flashback stuff). It really sucked until about 1/2 through the 2nd season and really got better by midway through the 4th. The 6th season aside from the first and last 2 episodes sucked too.
time travel set has some from each series (except enterprise, which is too bad bc the temporal cold war was SO COOL and by the way did anyone else get shivers in the finale of that when they had all the captains take a bit of the space: the final frontier...thought that was really one of the awesomest moments in trek, ever)
Gelababe - and the Highlander 1 soundtrack wasn't bad either, especially the contribution from Queen.....
$400 for entire 7 seasons of TNG
flashbacks were pretty cool. A story within a story but the movie was best.
yeah, singing it in my head now....*Who wants to live forever....*
I've never watched the Highlanded TV show.. thought it looked too hokey, or something. Only liked the first movie. Saw Firefly mentioned below. Is there no Firefly love? I would like to declare my undying love to Joss right here. I hope they consider another movie.
wow thats cheap for ST TNG. I paid $150 per for the Highlander series on VHS, but swung the DVD versions for $225 for all 6.
has anyone in the US (since we were the last to get it) watching the new Dr. Who? I love the eigth doctor... nearly my favorite ever.
Ok, now I am PISSED. Just checked http://www.legendaryheroes.com and saw they dropped the HL series down another $30.... lol
Finally, I have finished.... *AWAITS APPLAUSE* Anyway, gotta go now, thanx for all the clues, and I'll see you all on the morrow...... Byyyyyeeeeee!!!! !!
congrats movieman!
Well done movieman bye!!!!
Hello? Could someone tell me how many words there are today?
Firefly is -great-! :D I've only seen about half of the series but I'm loving it. The new Doctor who is fab, too - although since I'm in the UK I saw it a few months ago..
Please - Help!! Any hints on the di 6/24
271 words today
271 words
271 words, tmcs.
i am watching Dr. Who I love that show
Okay, gotta insert my opinion about Firefly... fan-freakin'-tastic series... I wish it would have caught on more. And Serenity was a wonderful movie as well!
well done movie man
cybik- do you like the ninth doctor as well?
Thank you!! My students and I work on this during my planning period. I have group of about ten kids who come in during their lunches and we work on it togther. The school has blocked most of the links, so we can't access the clues.
Firefly rocks!!!!!!!
di6/24 di + cons + something used in fishing
Jen - my hatred of FOX knows no bounds after the treatment of Firefly, Wonderfalls and Arrested Development, to name a few. *sigh*
Hi all - just stepping in for a few more words before I go back outside....
From what I've seen the ninth doctor seems good. I prefer Chris Eccleston, though. (Not least because his name contains a type of cake)
Firefly was great and what Fox had against it is utterly beyond me. Another movie would be great, but ONLY if it's a prequel - no Wash and Shepherd, no me!
Cons? And, I LOVED Wonderfalls! They have it on DVD now. Got it for Christmas. If you liked that, you might like Showtime's Dead Like Me. Another great show that got shot down.
I guess I'll have to check out Firefly and Serenity. Not a big TV watcher so I missed the series. How do the bridge the gap between Episode 6 and teh Dark Empire storyline?

Jacula, you are my new best friend!!!
ugh, i am so depressed.
tmcs cons=consonant
(That'll be the last time I post the stats today.)
Oooh - what's Wonderfalls? Not being in the US, I'm not up on TV stuff. If it's in the same sentence as Firefly and AD, it's got to be good!
Thanks Angel - brb
Faerie! You missed my icon I posted for you!
y/w tmcs.
Thanks, Jacula!
...or: If Fox cancelled it, it's got to be good
Wonderfalls was a quirky show about a slacker 20-somehting who starts getting advice from inanimate objects. Kind of in the same vane as Joan of Arcadia, if you saw that, but not so oure or inoccent. Like I said, quirky.
oure = pure

hmmmm - we'll see what the internet has to offer in the way of Wonderfalls. My newest TV-diversion is Deadwood.
Oh, and Wonderfalls was produced by one of the same guys that produced Firefly.
love Deadwood as well Amanda. I also like Rome.
Deadwood is ok. I'm more of a Sopranos guy.
I'm in the middle of Rome as well. HBO productions are so well done.
A while ago, we rented the 1st season of Sopranos to see what the hubbub was about and we were hooked! Now we have to get HBO, LOL. Came for the Sopranos, stayed for Deadwood and Rome.
Caitlyn -- I must be dense -- I still don't get it -- still looking for the d1 6/24
Ok, I'm off for a while. Am cat- and apt.-sitting for friends, so I'd better get over there and feed the beast. Will log back on as soon as I've settled in over there. See ya later!
don't feel bad, ARB, can't get it either.
see ya amanda!
Oooh, big un' today! Goood morning!
Seasons 1 and 2 of the Sopranos were awesome, Season 3 and 4, bleh. It started picking up a bit last year with the whole "separation" drama and so far the new season is starting to a slow boil that hopefully will provide some good whackings by seasons end.
ARB di.. 1st part of the word you might go for a di. when its hot 2nd part you are using the inter ...
cap, I'm just gonna be really po'd if they pull a Bobby Ewing-dream thing with this! Howdy bunny!
Hi bunny..how are the children now ?
Well, I doubt they will seeing as how Ep 3 finished on a somewhat positive note.
Bunny, how's the little one's tummy?
Need to run to the store for dinner... BBL
But I was thinking the same thing Jen. Gandolfini and I are from the same town in Jersey.
Chopper was the last one to get the bug yesterday, it was Poopoopalooza, but I think it's passed. It's a shame my washer is still broken..had to use the hose in the front yard. Bet the crazy neighbor stays away now, LOL!
Caitlin - Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Angel, thank's for the advice, we lived on applesauce and warm tea yesterday, and she loved it!
ARB-- I'm jealous. Still can't figure it out.
Shame he isnt there bunny LOL
Bunny, did any of the tips I gave you help?
YW ARB
probably helped calm her insides down a lot, Bunny :)
main thing to guard against is dehydration.
I got worried, she had a low grade fever the whole time and you can't ever get in to the doctor the day they are sick. She's up to full speed today, and then some!
bunny, I am so glad she's better. Glad the tips helped too.
morning, veryone!
Morning Charm
Morning
52 words....about 1 a minute whilst reinstalling windows and retoxifying myself...;P
bunny, did you try the jello trick?
Yeah, after the hot tea. She sipped a little, but wanted to stick to the tea. I mixed a bit of the lemon jello into the tea, she was a happy camper then.
Kevin only 219 words to go then
Any clues on the NI7/28?
make that 214. Just gained 5 by trying plurals. Now I'll try them all backwards.
Angel - I have to get back to you in a little while John just called and needs me to give him a lift. Plus I just screwed up my computer *well I lost my home page* I'll give you a call as soon as I get back.
good morning, all! I got to 76 words at the flip -- back for more punishment... has anyone finished yet?
Hi stidmama yes i have finished
bbl
YAY caitlyn! Well, at least we know it's possible!
Hello. What are the chances of finishing in about 3 hours today? Should I start?
MM, I think you can do it!
Hi musicmom youshould be able to complete in that time lol
good morning musicmom
MusicMom - I've been at it for just three hours and need only one more. Definitely do-able.
Thanks. I think I'll try. I was just looking the grid over. OWWWW there are spiders in the log. ICK!
I'm tangled up in the M's. does the MO4 for celestial body come immediately after the MO5 describing the emotional state?
There's my water for tea. BRB!
Thanks Charm. Hi Stid.
Depends if you have the stamina MM. I've been working on and off all day, and still only have 88 words! I'm working on the deadly r's at the moment
There's another mo4/5 and 5/12 in between
I figure if I can get the phone to not ring I should be okay. Last night was ridiculous.
newbie here ... how do u know how many total words there are ??? thx
Have a nice afternoon, all. Time to go pick up the baby from school. Good luck with the grid....
I hated the do words today!!!
bye charm
To find out the word total for the day, access stats through Angelsong's babble resource page, under Friends of babble.
bye charm
Geez, it's 271 words
Hi Everybody!
Welcome Geezing
Hi Duestch --- Welcome Geezing.
Howdy, back from the store for tortillas. :)
hi Deutsch, Geezing
Hi Jen. Greg just called and said he thought we should get pizza tonight. Music to my ears.
Thanks .. got it!!
oh caitlyn! I'm glad to read you're hating the do words, too. I'm tearing my hair out over them right now!
Hi Jen, I'm trying to come up with an artichoke, chicken thing for dinner.
Hi Haz - missed you coming in.
Mmmmmm Deustch. That sounds yummy.
Ok sorry I am back now. I had an issue with a patient.... passed out on me! lol backity
Oh, dear... this is really causing me grief today...

Hi TSM! MM, not sure how I'm going to put them together yet. suggestions are good :)
bye caitlyn, hi TSM
Put the lime in the coconut!
OK Cait...YP?? What in the world starts with yp?!?!? especially with 7 letters.
Hi TSM.
bye caitlyn
Bye Cait!
Is it a fresh artichoke? I've only ever cooked with the canned hearts.
bye cait
((((((( all ))))))))
Hi TSM
Musicmom, I'm using the canned hearts.
Hi TSM - did your patient revive okay?
Glad you could join us again TSM. I've been lonely today.
Hi TSM! Deutsch, I'd just saute them together with a little olive oil.
Deutsch - are you familiar with the hot artichoke heart dip that you serve with crackers. has parmesan in it? If so, cube your chicken and brown it, stir into that dip recipe. Serve with rice or pasta.
Jen, I was thinking of baking, but sauteing sounds better, maybe with garlic?
garlic and maybe a bit of oregano or basil...
There's an idea, Musicmom. I'll be back while I look up that recipe!
oh musicmom, that sounds so good! I'm going to try that too.
:( all gone milk duds
Glad I could help. I love to cook!
both ideas sound good. can you tell I just started cooking?
morning all.
hurshy, sorry bout the milk duds. Would some good swiss chocolate help?
Hi boreetos!
Here hurshy have some Dove Dark chocolate eggs. --- every one can have some too. Love your icon.
mayyyyyybe stidmama :) i do love the duds though
morning boreetos!
ty ty all
I have never had artichoke...
atalante still here?
you guys are completely speaking my language right now.
consider yourself fortunate
a simple clue for the ni7 and ni6 followiiiing it, please?
boreetos afraid of chocolate?
Deutsch, I wouldn't be able to tell anything. I am over 50 and just didn't start cooking until very recently. It's been a joke in my family. I mean, I can cook macaroni and cheese, hamburger and heat stuff up in the microwave, but now I'm learning to COOK, and am actually having fun. My beloved is a wonderful cook and he's teaching me.
Can't have a fellow babbler chocolate-less
I've had artichoke once - can't recommend it...
cocoa, choco, chocolate... mmmmph (burp)
mmmmmm LOVE artichoke hearts.
I love to cook too... Deutsch, 2 good websites are www.foodtv.con and www.epicurious.com (that one has basically all the recipes from Bon Appetit and Gourmet)
LOL Hurshy
/puke
same thing here, ch. someone always did the cooking, now I'm learning. bunny, artichoke is very yummy. So is Hearts of Palm.
also allrecipes.com
afraid?! Quite the contrary. chocolate and I are the best of friends. My life would be far less without it. :)
atalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaante!?
but today is phoooooooooooobia day, boreetos!
I set myself a limit of 100 to do (mostly) by myself... one to go, then I can start looking at the list!
Okay I have got to focus on the grid or I am not going to be able to finish.
The ni 7 and ni 6 are two variants of the same word. It looks like the sort of place you could get food at all times.
hurshy scared to eat artichoke, choke right in the name
but we all know that boreetos is most scared of a world without chocolate... so his icon still works!
i was hoping to get 200 without the list...revising to maybe 171 so 100 left? 2 more to that goal.
please stop. i'm getting sick
ooh, got one AND it greyed a box!
Yes my patient is ok now. She doesnt like the site of blood and she had a cut on her hand... tis all :)
I'm back!
when I was a kid, I ate more artichokes than I care to remember. And what we did was to steam them and then rip the leaves off and dip them in Mayonaise, then scrape the little buggers against your teeth. that's so gross. I don't mind the hearts on pizza or something, but otherwise, I'm out.
Over artichokes cap?
So lets see what everyones phobias are....
Thanks, fabulous cooks. I've bookmarked the pages.
ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE ARTICHOKE <EG>
stidmama you are afraid of doggies?

I <3 artichokes!
tsm worth much more than 3 artichokes
sorry, couldn't find a good hamster until this morning... refresh!
I did refresh :)
tsm, is your icon from your ultrasound?
That is what my one was yesterday but today its a spider.... LOL
sorry, I haven't refreshed. I wasn;t trying to imply that the spider was from- Oh nevermind, you know what I meant. :)
101 words! off to get the cheat sheet!
either way it was funny hun ;) capone you around hun?
Okay, I can't be phobic about my little zebra, so I've changed. refresh
oh hey look, a spider! I like spiders. I have a plethora of origami spiders. And scarabs too.
come on everybody it's the hamster dance! stare around and feel the groove!
EWWWWW I hate hamsters, gerbils, squirrels - if it's a rodent it should die!
but...but...they have fur!
I don't like artichokes. Nasty. Since we are talking about A foods, I love anchovies!
I hate rodents so much that we have two pet snakes.
aha, 100 to go, i feel free to get the list now
RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS! RODENTS!
I like anchovies
Yuuummm, anchovies!
... and arugula
Sadly, I have yet to acquire a taste for anchovies.
BBBLLLTTTTT - Capone!
clues for the last ni6?
Apricots are good too
I think 200's a good time to go to the list. I love staying at other people's houses. Especially when there's beer in the fridge and a wall of DVDs to choose from!
apples!!!
apples
/pokes TSM! hey!
I like anchovies if they are used subtly as a flavoring... none on my pizza thank you!
200 amandacath? sigh, then i need 29 more.
jinx - you owe me a soda
ANGEL FOOD CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i owe YOU a soda? but i said it first, i think you should owe me the soda
aw man nothing better than a white pizza with spinach, garlic, sun dried tomatoes and a few finely sliced anchovies!
appetizers:-p
Yeah but I was typing it and I said Jinx first.
alfredo sauce!!!!
pllllt
Capone - that sounds delicious
99 bottles of words on the wall...
No wonder I hate the re's. I've spent more than 30 minutes looking for two of the little buggers, only to find another R lurking in the top right, which I swear wasn't there before
clues for the last ni6?
hello everyone! may i have help for the second do4/5 please? or maybe it's the third - i can't tell there are several in a row!!!
Angel, ni6 - bug egg + get *** of the hamster!!!
mordor is also missing? 8(
angel I don't have an n words. I have to get busy.
hi TO!
take one down, pass it around, 98 bottles of words on the wall
TO I a +do/4 5 TSM
TO, there is an extint bird, a person who is active is a do..., and the Nike slogan Just do..., like a barbie do.. (only remove one of the double letters)
Hi temple!
Capone, there is one very like Mordor, frenchish....
amandacath saved me just in time, 10 more and i'll have 200 pre-list
Jen - there's no K today. A person who is active is a dorK. All should be lumps like me.
thanks jen! that slogan will do4/5 for me every time! : D now the last dy6 and the first or seocond dy4?
LOL MM
lol mm. and on that note, I''ve got to get back to work. see you kids at lunch.
bye boreetos!
okay, to clear it up, I'm not actually phobic of hamsters, but telephones. I am, however, very allergic to hamsters. :-)
bye boreetos!
TELEphones?
bye boreetos
and no Mordred!?!?! or Endor!?!!?! how can there be no Endor after our Star Trek talk earlier?
yeah, so? I bet lots of us geekly types are scared of telephones!
I'm not afraid of the telephone but I truly hate it. A necessary evil!
did not know people were scared of telephones - ok, never call stidmama
TO- the first two dy4's are one (1) who does the other (2) - possibly to hair
I'm only scared of telephones when TSM and Amerine are tag teaming me... Um, that didn't sound too sexual did it?
sure it did, capone - but it's a free country, and as long as you're all consenting adults...!
LOL Amanda
By-damn! I am DONE!!!!
Bravo Jen!
JEN!! You just gave away a word!
yay jen!
YAY Jen!
WOOHOO for Jen!
Jen, woot!
grr... I've been looking for do 4/ 7 for the last hour before I realized I already have it... :(
Whoops cap! Thanks guys! Deutsch, you still around? Here is a link to a very tasty looking chicken and artichoke recipe: http://www.epicurious. com/recipes/recipe_views/views /1462
dietiny: after you go on a diet, you get tiny
ummm - what's the Hannukah top-like toy called?
dreidel
dreidle, dreidle, I made you out of clay....
amanda, I think it's spelled dreidl.
amanda it starts with a dr ends with dle
I think i am out of ideas. 76 Words 807 Points.
i can't see sy4 /6 pls help
that's why I couldn't make it work - letters are in the wrong place.
oh, we not know how to spell it!
hahaha I was afraid to type it because it might have been in the grid.
redguy, have you looked at angelsong's page?
Jen, wow, that does look good. I may have to go get some mushrooms, now!
eight-a more words to 200!!
michael - there's an sy4/6 that sounds like a trig thing
in a pinch, you could probably just use the canned mushrooms.
I have not. I'll give it a gander.
thank you - i thought i'd tried it already
Thanks, Jen, I think I do have canned mushrooms. BRB have to check LOL
hmmmm ...i have no phobias to chat about....how can i get clues for the first and last dy words?
please clue for the yp that was mentioned earlier?
any clues for the 9's?
hello ppl ....i just found a word thats in the dictionary but is not accepting it why ?
yp = mustard gas
I need help with the ni7, please?
The first dy word is someone who colours hair, the last dy word (dy6 )- add no4/5
TO - the first dy is one who does the second the yp is an element the 9's all end the same
yes capone! mo9 - tsm may experience this due to pregnancy hormones di9 - her house will be in this state when she has an infant to care for te9 - the water she bathes the baby in might have this amount of warmness
yp + 2nd vowel + alt spelling for opp of wrong
ni 7 - first three letters young louse, follow it with eagle's nest minus y.
zion, the dictionary used by the Babble word list has various disagreements with any other dictionary you happen to use. Annoying, but a fact of life in Babbledom.
dy 4/7 - someone who colors hair dy 6/30 - dy + lymph ****
oooh Jera, that's ni7 is an ugly one - we tried for ages earlier until we finally got it. Sounds like somewhere you might spend the dark hours - there's an ni6 var. of it as well
tyvm!! Only 50 more to go!
ok on the other y, the y on the right, i have bigfoot, what is the other?
it's an informal word for "night club"
ok vicuna but it is a simple word ( droid) ???
di 9 - add Loch **** monster onto the 7 before it mo 9 - same
yi 4/7
there is a yi4 that is like the thing that goes tweet tweet only change the first letter.
ty haz, another grey box!!
that's just the way it is, zion. Goth and mosh are also not Babble-accepted, among manifold others
thanks amanda, haz, bunny! that dy 4 always seems to hide from me!
Clearly Dr. God has never been to the U.S. South, where the term "Lo**y, Lo**y but it's mighty hot out today" :)
Does anyone need anything before I go?
Yeah, I know, zion, that one bugs me, too. Either the Babble disctionary thinks it's an abbreviation for android, or it thinks it's just a made-up word from sci-fi, or it's just plain ignorant. Who knows why? In time you will become resigned and stoic. Or else you will become a seething inferno of anger and frustration.
a million dollars would be good, jen :)
Jen, the x word? Please?
how bout the dr5/14 and the dr5/12 between the unwetting-machine and the bee?
Wow thanks for all the clues gang. scooping them up as they come through.
seething inferno, seething inferno!
Sadly hurshy, last night's lotto only netted me $2. ;)
xe + smelly flowers
thx for the 9's tips hursh But you still never answered my Vader on the Enterprise question
unwetting machine! LOL
dr 5/14 is what your clothes are after they come out of the machine
thanks, Jen!
IN the lavatory no less
dr5/12 - is French for right, often in English preceded by a to mean skilful.
dr 5/12 is like the star wars clone without the d at the end, add a cross
glad to make you smile
dr5/12: french for right, also means a "legal right"
thx all - should have seen those. After not being able to get dreidl in (or however one chooses to spell it) I wasn't seeing anything
whichever i comes off the box with only one in it would be lovely for it would give me 200 words and another grey
id 5/14
hurshy, I think that one is id4, uses the sometimes vowel.
nope that can come off i above - however, i didn't have it, didn't know could be spelled that way! so thanks!
OKay, I am heading out now... have a great rest of the day everyone! :)
it's the id 5/14, first four letters spelt just like the village id**t
id5/14 - turn of speech
Bye Jen
yay!!
bye jen.
think of Id*** of the King, classic
bye Jen! thanks for all the help!
69 words left to find!!! woohoo!!!
Bye Jen.
brb
Way to go hurshy -- I still have 150 to go, but not worried yet!
bye jen!
shall i get the list now? or hope the adrenaline gets me a bunch more?
I resorted to the list pretty early on, my brain is malfunctioning today.
see how far the adrenaline takes you!
I would get the list, but then I believe in pain-free childbirth as well.
LOL
I'm all about the list.
oh i would want to be 100% UNconscious for THAT if i were to be in that situation
You and me both Haz!
Good Morning everyone :)
morning nan
Hello cybernan!
morning
pain-free childbirth, Haz? -- didn't know there was such a thing!
Hi nan!
Pain-free childbirth is easy enough... it's the pain-free child-rearing they haven't figured out yet.
Well, the birth can be pain-free, but once the epideural wears off.....
Sure, it's called using a surrogate.
pain-free childbirth -- i'll believe it when i experience it!
morning' nan!
LOL bunny
hi nan! en6/21? - can anybody help?
LOL, Bunny! Hi gang. been playing stealth and reading the log. almost coughed up my cookie on that one...
en6/21 - add di4/4 French for 'said'
any help with the di's (first two guesses on which ones don't count).... 6/24, 8/45, 9/60
Is there such a thing as pain free child rearing?
argh! there's an in- like that one too! I submit a motion: those are not words!
ooh, now i only need 2 more E's
Hi Misstearweus!
No, musicmom, there's always a certain amount of pain involved I think.
en 6/21 - get in writing, compose ... or... en + mix up the letters for what you go on when trying to lose weight
In the words of the Dread Pirate Roberts, "Life IS pain."
Cybernan - put your monstrous ne4/4 to good use in your di 8 and 9. One to indicate how bad something is, the other to indicate how filty something is.
di 6/24 - French Onion *** for chips + you catch butterflys with it
Yep that's what I thought Haz<shrug>
you mocked me once, never do it again! i died that day. and you can die too for all i care.
di 8/45 - drop the vowel from the di 4/5 before it and add on the Loch**** monster
no petri/petrie dish? thought it had to be spelled one of those ways...
It's another one like droid, hurshy. I don't know why, but it never accepts it.
not there, dunno why...
come on i know oreo is a word- how could something so good not be real!
Thankyou, all -- got all three :)
in case anyone is wondering, my adrenaline has got me one more word so far...
it's proper, course so is Toledo
Luther, at least THAT one has a reasonable explanation: proper noun, brand name...
no, not even, for it was with a clue
i need the ey where eagles DON'T live
and drood isn't on there either! TSM and I play Drood's on WoW!
HI Deutsch! I've been around playing silent for the last week. I've been so busy at work, I usually just have a few minutes here and there to indulge. Tried Soduku for the first time...not my game. I'll stick to letters.
good for you hursh!
Then you need the ey that repeats the r
ATL in da house!
HI Praes! I'm in ATL too!
besides those two ey's what else comes off that e?
that was it Haz - thx
ei 5/12
Yet another ey - ey4/6
Cancel that.
I used to live there up till 1 1/2 years ago. My son has a severe case of asthma and had to move to the coast. Forest Park, Morrow , riverdale area
oops, sorry, that can come off the other as well
Bunny's right - it's the ei5
Oh, Bunny's wrong - are we doing a good job of confusing everybody?
no, you're right bunny, it comes off the FIRST one it can come off left to right top to bottom - NONE come off that bottom E - of course i can't find it, stooopid me
I've been blessed to know nothing of allergies. I moved here 13 years ago...still nothing. BUT all my friends suffer miserably. I can understand.
wait, i was assuming the third letter was D, so i could be wrong then
Wooohooo I finally found over 100 words.
i lived there for 15 years
I wonder how that is determined, which one it originates from?
in any case, i do need that ei5, it's one of 2 i need
You're right Hursh, it does.
good for you musicmom!
go musicmom! I'm dangling pitifully at 49...
bunny, like i said, a word comes off the FIRST one it can come from, left to right, top to bottom
61 for me
so after all that confusion, can i have a CLUE for the ei5?
ahh, useful information, TY
ei plus french for back
Hi all :) A nicer size grid today
hooray for taking french
the ei is greek, philosophy I think, but i may be wrong
You had the first three letters right, ei* + when starnded, you send out an S**
Hi there Tiger.
Or ei plus not a full measure of medicine.
I need to learn a few more languages...
Hi Tiger
ok so besides the 4/5 chem combo, the en6 and the en8, what else comes from the bottom left E?
a clue for dy 6, please?
sorry meant to say es8
back in a bit
the other ey
The ey 4/6
I have an Ey4/6 from the bottom e I think
hursh - shakesperean peepers?
dy 6 - dy + lymph ****
ty tigereye, done with e's!
dy6/30 add no4/5 (as in lymph)
65 to go. i am def getting list now.
Ya'll give such eloquent clues.
In the words of a great English philosopher ' you know it makes sense.'
Do you have the es 8, Hurshy?
cllues for the sl's? need all three of them.
sl5/16 - add circular vowel, sometimes vowel and Eisenhower's first initial
oh i was WONDERING if there were any sl's
Thanks, Bunny & Haz
yes i have es8
sl5/16 - first three letters to mean wily, like a fox, then start of green vegetable (small and round). Pluralise for the 6
me too, hursh. Thought I'd tried everything and since nothing worked, I decided there weren't any. Hm. guess I was wrong
sl 5/16 - def. A system of manual training developed in Sweden, based on the use of tools in woodworking...or... sl + opp of girl (b**) + cons sl 5/16 - def. A covered passage, especially one between the transept and chapter house of a cathedral...or...sl + sometimes vowel + round veggie minus a sl 6 - past tense sl 6/
I better get to cleaning up after my two little whirlwinds, see ya'll tomorrow.
Bye bunny, have a good day!
bye bunny
Bye Bunny
bye bunny
aw, no doody?

I make it 47.
47 D's
I filled in all the di combos! now for the do...
Have one d left -- do 5/16 between finished and the word usually associated with the gl word that rhymes -- an clues?
47 D's sounds like a crazy bra size...
do5/16 - the most senior man in a group
cnan, if you like andy griffith, it's a song they sang one time with those hicks from up in the hills...
Sorry, cybernan - it's an earlier one you need. Repeat the vowel then add an adverb ending.
*sings* Hang down your head, hmmm hmmmm hmm
good song, ain't it?
Sure is - gonna go see what kind of CDs my friends have here...
Hang down your head and cry ..... we've had that one before, I think -- thank you!
I'm curious, Hurshy -- what is your phobia?
I'm going to head off - happy babbling!
omg, i am SOOOO sorry i was talking all about mi4 in our ST discussion not realizing it was a word all by itself!!!

Hurshy they are great pets!
Actually, rodents scare me more than clowns, in most cases. Sharks also.
hi kirsten! like a woman's name with a diff. vowel in the middle
GREAT PETS? FUR makes a great pet.
Does anyone have a clue for yo 4/ 7?
LOL hursh!
Rodents scare me more than anything. Fur on a cat is good though. I have two of those too.
done through M and 38 to go!
or mimes.
guns.
nothing can be truly cute unless it has fur. that is why i don't think babies are cute.
The beast in me Is caged by frail and fragile bars Restless by day And by night rants and rages at the stars God help the beast in me The beast in me Has had to learn to live with pain And how to shelter from the rain And in the twinkling of an eye Might have to be restrained God help the beast in me
My back tells me I've been sitting too long. I have 152 words... not bad for me! Back later today.
Bye stid.
you've pulled ahead of me Hurshy! I've got 40 to go. And I just can't see the ni4/5 - there's only so many letter combos....

c'mon Amanda! Waiting for more Cash!
mimes with guns and/or sharks.
ni+ prince charle's ex - lady __
I dunno, hurshy, I think baby sea turtles are about the cutest thing there is, and babies WITH fur are considerably scarier than those without!

271 today i got or 4 and 5
Brace yourself wassup - 271
me neither Hurshy. This is wierd - are you sure you're not me?
hurshy, the or 4/5 is what monks call the annual book that lists everyone in the monastery. The plural is there too.
holy cow. i thought i was doing pretty well!
or 4 add hair**, 5 pl, need the 7
te5/12's (the first two te's), please??
ch1212- the yo4/7 clue... it's still not working for me. I took the "days of yo4/6" and replaced the last letter with the fourth letter of the alphabet. What I think it should be, rhymes with the past tense of to rid, but that doesn't work either.
or7 so8 without s
you're great hursh! what about the last two od's?
found the te5's..never mind :)
like the id's
yay, o's slain!
...and there's nothin short of dyin...

Scooobyyy dooobbbyyy I finished the M words
es 8/40 the 19th letter of the alphabet (as pronounced), vowel, misspelling of not day

Grat clue amanda.

i've heard of pillory... but not that... lol
I still don't have 100 words...I'm feeling not so smiley about this grid today... too many i's I think.
agh, going to morewords if there isn't a clue in like 10 seconds

Miss you are in a great position - you will be able to get tons of clues.
i need the 5/12 that goes right before or after the place where cowboys show off their stuff
Finished...whew! I made it.
In the words of Priness Lae, "that is my only hope Obi-wan-kinobe"
BRAVO Angel!

Yay Angel!!!!! You're ahead of me Hursh - I'm still on the re'a
hooray Angel!
Miss I still need 171, ao you're doing far better than me
there's a music ro5/12 - not exactly sure what it is
defintion of the ro5/12 for hurshy is: A musical composition built on the alternation of a principal recurring theme and contrasting episodes.
ah, ty, done with R's!
Or can I not count and you're going the other way? We can work together when they all disappear coz they're done
Angel - those are fun to play.
r + purchased apartment - c
do the letters have to be connected? or can they just be any word made of any of the letters?
ok i also need the se6 that comes right before or right after a kid in their last year of hs
Un - they have to touch. there are directions up at the top of the page.
they have to be connected. there's 271 words today.
unlogikal -- they have to be connected as in Boggle.
letters must be connected, diagonally is ok, cannot reuse same square within word
ok thanks, first time playing
I can see none of the or words - are they obvious?
no mm they are not or + hair**, then pl or7 = so8 without s
mm judge yells this when things get out of hand
lickety's list was heaven-sent for this grid.
forget that wrong stuff
se6/18 - (I counted carefully this time) some kind of currency, sounds like not congress but se---, but ends like letters 2-4 of pitiful (okay, lame clue. I totally ran out of steam at the end)
lovely, vi, i won't even tell you that i just more-worded it
Awww, man, I can't get anything right today! :)
I'm not getting them . Do you have definitions? sorry to be a pain.
it's my fault, i didn't wait for a clue long enough
woot, 8 words lol
Vi, I got it immediately from your clue! Thx!
Phew, amandacath! Now I haven't lived in vain!
Vi - I got it from that too. Thanks.
se6/18: first part of "the House of Representatives and the Se****, (firts three letters of the SE) = last part of the spelling for an italian pasta that begins with the last letter of the alphabet.
ok, i will wait if you can give me either the last so7 or the so6 right after
Got the or 4 and 5.
Nope, not I. I shot my bolt!
should be easy, i know the first 4 letters :(
so7: SO4/5 + part of the last name of a famous escape artist, Harry........
yay, and i monkeyed the 6!
hurshy, did you get the 7?
and sy7? (we came so close to having syndrome!)
i've caught up hursh - i'm on the sy7 as well
yes angel, hence the "yay"!
Bummer gotta go. Sarah has to go to the library for homework purposes:-(( I hope to be back for my last 89 later - but we have ceramics tonight too.
i have 5 t's after that, how about you amanda?
sy+ a vowel + an n4/4.. is the Sy7
excellente
oh, I'm afraid I've prob'ly got more that that - haven't counted yet. And I'm also missing a couple of y's
maybe I'm better at giving clues than I thought :)
stupid te 5/12's. i have the one that is te4 insert vowel in middle, what is the other of the first 2?
ok, that is THE stupidest word ever
Y clues: Abominable snowman; y=third vowel + two letter abbr found on a street sign (consonants); not here but over yo**** - last two letters; same letters again, but replace the last consonant with a vowel; the past: days of yo** ; yp*****, mustard gas.
i cheated - same beginning as the other one + drivers liscense
i cheated too... on my last word now
( the second y clue shoud be y +.... not "y ="
bdee bdee bdee that's all folks!!
A well deserved congrats to Hurshy!
ah, thanks kristinc
yay hursh! My list is not agreeing with the number of words I have - will have to go back and see what I missed
that's where it helps to be a pro, amandacath, you know what letter the word you don't have starts with
how do you cheat?
Finally worked my way through the list -- 30 to go, but after lunch -- back later :)
by using a site like morewords.com or a2z
well then I cheat daily
:) that's ok shorty, we all like to play different ways :)
D$)§(§ - I've checked off everything on the list, but only have 268 - that's three I'm missing somewhere. This is the tedious part....
just sat back down... YAY hurshy!
od 6/24? (I'm stuck!)
phew I thought maybe we weren't allowed to cheat !!!
od 6/24 is past tense of your od 4/5 (strange, huh?)
shorty, when I tutor kids, I encourage them to "use their resources" when studying at home... we don't all have to start with the same head-knowledge as long as we end up with a satisfactory result!
od 6/24 is past tense
okay, well then I'm having some computer issues. Let me do a quick restart b/c it won't take that. Thanks!
I could use some help on my last do: one of the first 4/5s. I have the one that accomplishes things, the state of being complete, and what barbies are...
nike slogan: just do4
cool!
thanks hurshy, I knew it was something simple!
on to the drs...
You finished, Hurshy --- congratulations!!!! -- it is a tough one.
had those... also the dys and the ei. en 4/4 anyone?
Whew! Found them - I hadn't checked them off after all. Well, I'm outta here - going to so scan the DVDs to see what's on offer. See you all tomorrow!
en 4/4 is lo4/4 backwards
nevermind, monkeytyped it. YAY Amandacath! bye
congrats, amanda!!! what's your icon, shorty?
hello - back from work to torture myself with babble
hello cliffopa
the united states does not torture... call it... persuasive interrogation
I think we should have gotten this grid on a weekend, no way am I gonna have time to finish it
oh sorry its a shit-zu from yesterday
i agree - i wish it was the weekend already.
shoot, i forgot my sarcasm symbol. everyone, my sister and i decided that since tone is so hard to judge in e-communication, we need a symbol indicating that sarcasm follows. we thought | would be good since it doesn't really get used for anything. so... | the US doesn't torture.
cause my pet phobia is ticks and I cant look at them
good one, hurshy. Could I have a clue for the tr7 that comes right before the one who makes an effort? And please, NOT the chemical compound clue -- I'm just not getting it. Thank-you so much!
oh, like me shorty, except not ticks! lol though, i thought that the white fur on the head was shiny silver or something, i was looking at it all wrong
tr7 is plural. tr6 is 3 prefix plus direction from ohio to maine
theres a direction word from Ohio to Maine
thx, hurshy -- we've had that combo many times before and I always seem to miss it.
I've stalled out again... back later, all!
was that a question, shorty? it's an abbreviation...
it's an abbriviation
bye stidmama
a question
shorty..yes the direction is downer..lol
if you are going somewhere between north and east you are going..., well there are two MORE directions between that and north and between that and east... if that makes any sense...
scrolling back I see a clue for yp...haven't been to Jack's list yet. Are you serious?
sadly, yes. but yp isn't as bad as tm, right?
Clue for the o7 please?
on7 or or7?
sorry, on7/28
hmmm scratching head looking for word
that's the word that is i think a misspelling (like a southern pronunciation?).... um, starts with the first number, then tr5/10 - t
shorty...it's a weird one...the ending is also like the end of a woman's name marl***
Ah, got it -- we've had that one too, and this time I actually remembered the gist of it, but (obviously) not the correct spelling. Thanks!

Hello Jacula!
See you later if you're in at the flip -- happy babbling :)
thanks stidmama, trying not to let it get to me... easier said then done.
no id 5/14 -- both id 5's are plurals

yp7/40 is mustard gas.
THANK you Jacula -- that one was nigh impossible!
Jacula - thanks for the te clue. as someone said below.. that's the stupidest word ever.
jac - thanks for the def. I got it!
Atalante - dy6/30 - An electrode used in certain electron tubes to provide secondary emission.
yp = y + miles p** hour + ri 4/4
thanks Jac! stupid word!
Atalante - if you divide the dy word into 2 halves it sounds somewhat like a 'noisy poem'.
Everyone sorted for the moment?
Hi, Everyone!!!
hi peri
Yes thanks Jac. I'm headed out with the girls. Still have 10 to find later.
Gosh I hope we don't have nightmares tonight from all our icons... my Killer Bee is bad enough, but the cockroaches, slugs, rodents, high places, flying, etc. are starting to bug me... even mab's mime! :)
Hi Nat
hi peri

Hi All - I'm back for more punishment. Working on those awful re words.
YAY Aloyisius! help on the py 6/27s? please?
1st py6/27 is the tube at the lower end of your stomach.
py6/27: py+ girl's name or py + os4

thanks!
The 2nd py6/27 is the formation of pus.:-(

YAY Atalante!
Oops, must go now. Good luck, all!
Hi Faerie. I've got all the dreaded 're' words now if you want any help. I've also mailed this icon <---------------- to ExWren, as I made it specially for her.
Hi Angel - I've been out most of the day. John had to take his Suburban in to have new tires put on so I ran him around town for awhile. Was a beautiful day here. Got up to nearly 60 degrees. WooHoo!!
Goodnight Aloyisius and Atalante.
good night Aloyisius
it's mid 70's here :)
It's raining here. LOL.
Jacs - can't see any icons. I got wind that Capone wanted to torment me with mice so I just hid the icons. LOL I hate icky bugs and mice and slugs and yuck...

Whoa! Suddenly I have over 200 words! only 69 to go...
how about a clue for the on 7/ 28, please?
I want 70's . And it can be raining and 70 I don't care.
Oh, okay, Faerie. (All mine says is 'I Hate 'Re' Words!'.
on7 = more of (on4 - s + consonant)
1st pe5/12 - male organs (though it sounds more like pasta!) 2nd pe5/12 - a man's name, meaning 'rock'. Think pe*** & the wolf.
Jacula... I'm REALLY gone now, but I must say; I share your feelings about "re" words! G'night, all!

cliff - is a bird! not a very smart bird, either?
g'night chic
got the or7... need ei5 and oo5?
me? i am a do 4/6!

ei5 - (anthropology) the distinctive expression of the cognitive or intellectual character of a culture or a social group.
oo5 like the eagle's nest

Hiya, Tigereye. How are you doing?
YAY walnutchen
evening, thought i'd pop in for a while
I'm not bad thanks Jac, sent off an application for a summer camp style job today so feeling quite positive. How are you?
Hello Scatty.
hi jacula, have you finished yet, i've just started the R's
Tigereye, I'm fine, thanks. That sounds good, the job thing. What would you be doing?
Scatty - Yes. I'm all done. Just here to give clues.
There's a training week in a few weeks and then in the summer I'd spend a week or two in charge of a group of about 8 kids, making sure they eat/sleep/get on. They're activity holidays and I think I get to participate in whatever the kids do
That sounds good, Tigereye. Is it in Wales, by any chance?
evenin babblers :)
There are various places it happens throughout the Uk so I there's probably one there somewhere. The training weeks in Lincolnshire, I don't know where I'd be in the summer yet though
took a dinner break, but back for a little while now
Hi Evanadine & Periwinkle. (You are in the grid, oh flowery one!)
Hi Eva and Peri :)
Hi Tigereye and Jacula, Didn't even see my name today, thanks
Tigereye. I sounds like good fun, provided you like kids. I was thinking back to a holiday at Westward Ho! last year when there was a large group of children and their teachers on site. One teacher held forth so loud and long because a group of kids had left the dining room without permission that my boyfriend and I almost stood to attention, too, even though we were sunbathing. LOL.
havent had much babbling time lately, im afraid... :/
y/w, Pe4/5.;-)
Evanadine, it's annoying when life gets in the way of Babbling, isn't it? *Grins.*
Lol Jac. I'm considering teaching as a career, thought it sounded like a good way to figure out if I should run away screaming before I begin
Tigereye - Could well be!
lately work has gotten in the way of eating and pottying too!1
Evan - What is your job?
im a government lackey...heh
Tigereye - You might like the tee-shirt (enlarge the pic when you get there) on this site: http://www.rosienieper. co.uk/product.aspx?CategoryID= Teacher&ProductID=CTTEA&langua ge=en-GB (Take out any spaces Babble's inserted.)
Evan - Hope that doesn't mean you're a tax inspector? LOL.
haha...no way! im kinda-sorta an editor-meets-databases kinda person...
My friend's sister is a senior tax inspector but always just says she's 'a civil servant'.
*crosses musician off the list* one down, however many else to go ;)
It's tipping down with rain here. Lo4/5 knows where that stupid cat has got to!
If your cat is anything like mine are, its gone out so that it can come back in and rub wet fur against you and complain til you give it all your attention
It's cloudy so there is no mo4/5 to hunt by. I think he is just like Gordon from the old punk song, a mo5/12!
EvaN - strange your job description fits in quite well with mine as well.
oh yeah eva? what do you do?
i snoop, i neb, i sleuth, all in the name of security.
Now that you've told, do you have to kill us, evaanout?
jacula -- i LOVE your avatar!
2 Evans together. There's a song in there somewhere. LOL.
nah
phew!
we're not a murderous bunch
I am missing the first two words: di5/12 and di6/21
Guigirl - Thanks. I made it for ExWren, who hates 're' words more than I do. I've e-mailed it to her so you'll no doubt be seeing more of it.:-)
hehehe
build on the di 4/5...
evanonut -which di4/5 there are several
c'mon mab - face it, you were hoping for a little 'action'
di5/12 & plural 6 - a molecule which contains two carbon-carbon double bonds. (Sounds like a girl's name but with a different 2nd letter.)
oh, sorry peri - the one where you hope to lose weight
eva -- your job sounds much more interesting than mine...i work on a contract for the GAO
jacula, excellent icon.
Well, yes; adrenaline freak that I am.
EvaN, as many things as i've heard of, i haven't heard of the gao.
Government Accountability Office -- the investigative arm of congress, more or less
okay, looked up gao - ugh
i work on an opm contract
Oh Mab! Yours is the first icon that I could say I have a kind of phobia about today. I hate clowns (and ventriloquist's dummies). They give me the creeps.
di7/32 anyone
heh, you guys hiring? im in desperate need of a change of scenery!
di7/32 - more covered with mud, dust, etc.
yes, clowns and mimes -- shudder.
actually, i could be out of a job in a few months...i wouldn't recommend.
besides, you ever heard of the mines? the scenery would be something like this...stone, stone, and more stone.
Evanonut - did you get the 'di'?
thanks Jacula
sure did jac...are you saying i'm, er, messy?
more scenery than i get -- cubicle, cubicle, and more cubicle... and i may be in the same boat as you soon -- our conctract is up for rebid in about a year, and at this point, im not really sure if i want us to get it or not...heh
EvaN - we are in the same boat! ours is up in june, and my company can't bid on the part of the contract i work on. i'm not sure what will happen, or what i want to happen.
well, we have had a contract at the GAO for like 30 years, i think...so chances are we are gonna keep it... but ya never know
two eva/evan's having a conversation... so many similarities... my head's about to explode...
Still missing the first two words in this puzzle. I had the two that have to do with losing weight but don't have the first di5/12 and first di6/21
yes, we've had the contract as long as it's existed, only now they're being fussy about a few things. i'm hoping my company will retain me for quality or some rot like that, only it will be boring as all heck.
(((LESLIE)))
Periwinkle - I just gave clues for those. 6:56pm. Scroll back.
Evening, all. Peri - they're 'babble' words. Think 2 letter 'n' and the plural....
Otherwise, Periwinkle, if my clue with the definition doesn't do it, think what our (UK) princess who died was called... change the 2nd and last vowels of her name to the 2nd vowel in the vowel list. That gives you the di5. For the plural, just add the usual curly consonant.
Hi, Jacula. So they really have definitions!
Hi Charm. Just took a moment out to read your profile. I have a fridge magnet that bears the legend, 'Of all the things that I have lost, I miss my mind the most'. :-)
thanks Jacula, found those di molecule words
Charm - There aren't many words in Babble grids that defy all definition, even if the offical Babble dictionary doesn't know what they mean.
Oh, that's a good one. I have a fridge magnet which says 'queen of desserts.' Nothing so meaningful as yours but very tasty.
i have the krispy kreme swimsuit calendar hanging on my fridge.
somehow, krispy kremes and swimsuits and calendar don't seem to belong in the same sentence. =8-)
there are too many DO words, I have about half of them
do5/16?
I've just counted the number of fridge magnets I have that bear messages - 30! LOL.
do5/16 - grand old man.
(A do*** of society.) do + Chinese currency.
Are the swimsuits made from KrispyKreme (whatever that is). (Ignorant Brit here! Sorry!) LOL.
charm - google krispy kreme calendar.
all finished, that was a long one
I have dial up and the screen takes foreeeevvver to refresh. It is driving me nuts.
jac - krispy kreme is a mighty donut chain (marvelous donuts)
nutttttty buddddddy
Just Googled that calendar. OMG! Scarey.
REN-derella!!!
see why i keep it on my fridge jac, every time i go for something i don't need, my eyes are treated with the consequences.
Well done, Scatty. *~*~*~*FIREWORKS FOR SCATTY*~*~*~*~
tr7/28?
Jacula my magnet says fridge pickers wear bigger knickers
WHERE have you been ren?
Sue its Joel - are you online?
i've been chalked!!!!!!!
my mom has an electronic pig that oinks every time she opens her fridge.
in a meeting...i just surfaced long enough for supper
that's not chalk ren, that was my purple sharpie.
Scatty - I have that one, too. Also, 'It's hard to feel fit as a fiddle when you're shaped like a cello'.
Hi, Ren.
curse - ed - meet - ings
i've been sharpied!!!!!
REn - the icon's not personal. I made it for ExWren. LOL.
yeah ren, stick that in your meeting and smoke it.
Eva - i've been looking for one of those for ages . i like that one jacula
part of me is numbbbbbbbbut i'll survive....
scatty - a sharpie mustache? here you go!
mistress!!!!!!!!!!
rennie, numbut - or numb butt?
the so 5/10 please?
Scatty - How about another? (I'm not going to quote all 30!) - 'I keep losing weight but it keeps findng me'.
nut...you got it both times!!!!!
Hello Ren, most valued servant.:-)
jacula, not a truer word said
so what is the icon ren?
Jeffer - so5/10 is plural of so4/4.
you have 30 magnets, where are they all on the fridge
hair and fat.........w/ purple evening gloves....
that reminds me, i still haven't scored myself a slave.
Yes, Ren, what IS the icon? A red-headed what?
well that answers my question i guess.
eva, do you have the pig that sings Like a virgin and looks like Madonna and the one that oinks and flips at the same time
Scatty - There are more than 30 magnets. Mostly on the front of the fridge. (It's a tall larder fridge.)
jac ty! someone had moved my letters
is the red head clothed or naked may i ask.
YAY Scatty! (sorry it's late)
a red headed jelly roll appearing in public nekkid....w/ no gender specific markings.... no belly button...no nuthin'
Jeffer - I understand. Same thing happens to me all the time. It's the Babble gremlin, methinks.:-)
he just stands there and oinks, or you can record your own personal "don't eat that you fat arse" phrase.
ok..time to actually go eat...bbl...i hope...
ren, your pic looks like a pig upside down laying in mud
bye ren
ti6/21?
Re the fridge piggy - we thought about getting one, but given my daughter's problem, we though best not.
LOL scatty!!!!!!! i ove it!
seen many pigs laying upside down in mud lately scatty?
I have 35 words left to find... and the te 5/10 and one of the te 5/12s are irksome... I have the one that means "tithe"
'Bye Ren. Shoofly Pie on its way...
jacs, what's your daughers problem?
later renfield...
there is a curly tail there, isn't there, or have i just lost it completly
Periwinkle - ti6/21 - small yellowish moths whose larvae feed on wool or fur.
Evanonut - She is a recovering anorectic.
Stidmama - te5/10 - male singer (think Pavarotti).
jac -- i feel for you and your family. that's a really, really tough disease to battle
oh, smart thinking then jac. but i'm glad she's recovering. it's about impossible to catch that until they're well into it i would think.
jacula, how is she doing, how long has she been recovering, i know it can take years
Guigirl - Yes, 6 years now. Hard battle that may never be totally over. So, if I seem hard sometimes when people talk about weight etc., that's why.
thanks Jacula -- hope your daughter is doing better now
good for her -- six years is great!
we can all be hard about things close to home. i had a coworker that i never talked to again after she said she thought people gave themselves cancer with thoughts.
thanks, Jacula, found the ti/6 - don't know why I didn't find it myself, it is a word I use everyday 8)
jac, my friends daughter has the same prob, she did a couple of chat shows, talking about how it came about, she's doing really well now
This is Joel in NJ casting for Sue in MP
Thanks for your good wishes re my daughter, everyone. No, it's not much fun to commit your daughter to a nuthouse in order to save her life. But sometimes tough love is the best kind of love. She's glad we did it now. Still lost in the woods a bit after nearly 3 years at home, but has monthly 'therapy' (not enough, I think).
jac, i think that if you've got her six years, then you have really done a fantastic job and deserve a pat on the back.
Have I missed any clues anyone asked for? Speak up, if I have.
Jacula, may I have the so 6/21 -- not the one that sounds like canned fish...
jacula, if you had let it carry on she wouldn't be here now, sometimes you have to do things that are hard.
stid, is that the first or second so6
Stidmama - so6/21 - when you melt soft metal to bind things together. Sounds like a military man without the personal pronoun in the middle.
ei5/12
Parenting can be so difficult... my brother has a slew of problems... and I have some of my own that I know cause my parents great concern; and now that I am a parent with a challenged child I understand so much more. Jacula, and all loving parents -- I applaud you.
I could use the second so 6 also...
Scatty - exactly! (Re my daughter.) As a parent I would do anything to ensure my children's health, happiness etc.
My husband and I have two daughters, both adopted. One bipolar (age 14) and one RAD/OCD (age 11). Been there done that. It's too bad that the hardest job in the world has the worst training program!!!
don't have any of the EN words, help please
tmcs -- so true.
jacula, thats what we are here for, as my son says, to keep him on the straight and narrow, well i try my best.
any clues anyone has for this #$%^&* puzzle would make me very happy!!
en: the final thing in a story + the end of the creatures bruce campbell fought in Army of Darkness.
Hiyo again. Had to take a pizza and beer break. *sigh* 115 words and counting. Working on the e's now. Ack ack ack ack (that would be the pizza and beer coming back).
2nd so6 means 'filth'. Best clue I can give you is that Tolkein's land of darkness wasn't allowed in this grid. (Mo****.) It's mentioned a few hours ago by myself and others later.
peri, same as the last dy 4/7 for the en 4
periwinkle en 6/21: the English word for the last of something en* + the last three letters of the yp word
ni 7/28? ni 6/24?
Thanks Jacula, now on to the ti section...
Incidentally, to save anyone wasting time typing it, 'Mordred' isn't allowed either.
the second, so - the so4 above it is the same + the forth vowel then 18th letter
ni7/28 and 6/24 both mean 'night club'.
thanks stidmama
Any clues using the X? Thanks!
xe7/48.
Definitions of the xe word: 1. Abnormal dryness, especially of the skin, eyes, or mucous membranes. 2. The normal hardening of aging tissue.
Alas, no moonpie either.
xe7/48 - xe + romantic flowers (***** are red, violets are blue....)
xe has flowers on the end of the word
Judi - Moon Pie sounds like it might have magic mushrooms in it.
ty jacula - got them. been at this too long...
jacula, how come you are still up so late
Jacula, it's actualy a dessert cookies still sold here in the U.S. Kind of like a self contained s'mores.
Scatty - How come you are?
ThanX!
in7/32
Judi - I will look the recipe up.
di 9/60?
in7/32 - one who in6/21s. A writer.
i tried to sleep earlier but i keep getting muscle spasms in my back, so i have taken a whole lot of morphine, just waiting for it to kick in, which takes a while
di9/60 - muck riddeness.
di9 - opp. of cleanli***.
ni 6/21? anyone?
Jacula, I don't have the in6/21 you are referring to
I think I just invented a new word in my last post. LOL.
Periwinkle - in + di4/5.
so what is riddeness going to mean then
thanks
Ridden- ness. LOL.
Dunno, but it sounds nasty. LOL.
Jacula - the moonpie is a commercially made beast. I suppose you could duplicate it with enough patience and/or obsession.
I will never finish tonight but trying hard to get to 150 almost there
ni 6/21: starts like the one before it, finishes in the opposite of ego
as you have made up a new word, you have to give a definition
stidmama - merci
Judi - are you saying I'm obsessive? I just like cooking things for myself. I know what's in my food then.
thanks, Jacula, just happened to pick the correct di4 word and then found the IN words
are you cooking anything nice tonight
Oh, thanks, Scatty! Okay - ridden-ness means 'riddled with, overcome with something rude, dirty, fun or nice'. LOL.
No implications intended, Jacula. Just saying - it's not always easy to duplicate a commercial recipe. Otherwise, Nabisco and others of that ilk would be smack out of business. But, I get where you're coming from by wanting to know what's in your food.
sounds like a nice word to use
Scatty - I'm doing a beef casserole tonight. Last night was a simple egg & chips and the night before was bacon & mushroom tagliatelli.
If you're looking for recipes look on my thread on Babblers' Anonymous. Just ask if there's a recipe you want.
or7/32
i had a cold chichen pie, hubby at work tonight so i couldn't be bothered cooking, my kids had left over speghetti from yesterday
wie gehts? How many words this evening?
or7 - it's a plural -annual calendars containing instructions for the Mass and office to be celebrated on each day of the year.
Fine, thank you, Schwer. 271 words today.
Evening everyone, been lurking in the background here, down to 35 words to go but giving up hope, Don't suppose anyone really wants me asking for 35 clues, lol
Jacula, yet another word I use everyday LOL would need to Google and I am too tired. Quitting now at 150, will probably not be back til tomorrow
(or + di5/12 eats).
Jacula, got it with your second clue, I am going now
Okay, Pe4/5 (fairy). Sleep well. Ask away, Sheryl!

Kristinc - Hurray for the vanquishing of the dreaded REs!
not getting that tramp clue, got another for the do 4/5
Sue in MP this is Joel in NJ are you there yet?

Sheryl - have you got dr5/12? (Rubbish.) If so, take the 'r' out of it.
okay, time to put dinner on the table. BBL!
never mind--got it
do 5/12 do 4/5 plural (take a nap)
Kristinc - do you really spell the nap word with an 's' in US? We spell it with a 'z' here.
'Bye, Stidmama.
ty guys for all the clues but I am throwing in the towel , I live to play another day, have a good one
it's a "z" here too :-)
Jax-of couse (if you tired and were trying to get out a clue quickly) :) I would have never noticed-sorry to anyone I confused
Okay, Sheryl. Sleep well.
pe6/21 clue please?
so long Sheryl-well done!
Kristinc - Sorry, wasn't trying to be clever, just wondered. There are many differences between US and UK English and so I wondered...
Jac, no worries, I grinned at how silly I can be sometime when I'm focused.
pe6/21 - more pe4/5. (More upright or erect.)
Thanx, Jac, got it.
Jac-and speaking of being focused, I just noticed you icon. Hah! very cute!
Mary - Thank goodness for that! I thought I was going to have to stray into the realms of girly pin-up land!
Kristinc - How could you just have noticed that? It stands out a mile! I must do more icons for myself. I made that one for our Babbler, ExWren, wo hates 're' words more than the rest of us.
* who hates
Jac-I know, that's what I'm saying...I'm all over the map tonight--shouldn't be giving out clues (or driving for that matter) in my state, I'll likely just confuse someone :) great icon anyhow
Going to change back to my own person phobia icon now before the grid is out. REFRESH if you want to see it...
Anyone willing to babysit me through the last 8 words I need? Feel free to direct me back in the log if that is easier.
Musicmon - I'll babysit you. What words do you need?
I need the pi6/21 that is near the even more evergreen tree. I don't know if that is the first one or the second one. Thanks!
Kristinc - I know the feeling. ))))HUGS((( (Gently!)
or7
pi6/21 - A gray, green, or brown mineral similar to mica, formed by chemical alteration of other minerals, such as cordierite. pi + not day.
Thanks Jac-happy to have babble to have an excuse to sit down And with that, I have music practice tonight so I'm off for a bit. Will come back later for my last 33. Good luck Musicmom and others still finishing.
lo5/10 after toiletted
Thanks Kristin - have fun at practice.
or7 is a plural of - An annual calendar containing instructions for the Mass and office to be celebrated on each day of the year.
Got the pi and or --- thanks. Didn't even have to go look them up:-)
lo5/10 - add a curly consonant to the end of the lo4 before it.
(If your lover cheats on you, then he lo*** your love!)
is that lo the one that means singular? It won't take the s
What's next? BRB - comfort stop needed.
No problem. Stats are saying I'm missing two r's I thought I had them. I'll have to figure out what they are.
I already had the lo -- let me figure out what I'm missing.
MM - Since I'm not trying to input words now, I don't know, but earlier on in the day (UK afternoon) I was putting words in, Babble was procrastinating, then adding the word to my list with no points score. I'd refresh and it would take the word away. I'd type the word in again and it would be accepted properly.
Okay I'm missing two re words. 6/18 and 7/28 combo between the 4/4 and the 5/10
found the re s
Does that mean you're done then, MM?
nope last two I need help with dr6/21 the 2nd and 3rd ones. Thanks so much for your help.
Hey kids. Does anyone watch American Idol? And does anyone know who got kicked off tonight. My cable got stupid.... and cut out.
dr6/21 (2nd) is plural of dr5/12 (boring speaker).
(Or male worker bee!)
Ha I was missing the 5/12 too and didn't realize it. Thanks!
3rd dr6/21 is one curly consonant extra at the end to the long-jowelled dog type thing above it.
Hollybug, I just caught that someone named Lisa was cut.
you may dr5/12 over chocolate, a hunk, or... well anything that takes your fancy really...
Sorry, Hollybug - don't watch that.
Are you absolutely sure it was Lisa? I'm going to relay the information to my husband and friend who are waiting in the wings.
Is there one between that one and the one that means waste?
Hollybug - we don't watch that either. Law and Order here.
Can I get a clue for se6 that isn't old?
Between spit-dropping and waste? Yes, the spit-dropping with a curly consonant at the end.
YP7? don't have a clue!
i'm off to bed now, was going to give some clues but my brain has fallen asleep already, night everyone
what do you mean spit dropping? Also, waste?
Plural spit dropping and then singular waste. I'm going back to the list.
yp+consonant+ri4/4
Holly Bug, I haven't watched much of this year's, but it was a young black woman, and I am sure her name was Lisa.
YP+VOWEL (not conso.) +ri4/4
Suki - those are the definitions of words I have. i'm trying to figure out what I'm missing.
thanks - odd one, that!
Spellacked - se6 - a unit of Tongan currency - 100 sen*** = 1 pa'anga
AHHHH got it === the boring speaker is a dr6/21 Finally I'm finished!!!! Jac - you are terrific. thanks for putting up with me.
yp7/40 is mustard gas. Look it up!
the first re 6/18, please?
yp try this site www.a2zwordfinder.com
No probs., MM. And *~*~*~*FIREWORKS FOR MUSICMOM*~*~*~*~
night jacula, see you tomorrow,i think i'll make a big chocky cake.
YAY musicmom! Just got back from dinner... 24 words to go!
You know Jac - I looked it up earlier and told myself I would remember that for the next time. Bet I forget though. Feeble minded sometimes.:))))
hi jeffer, night jeffer
I must pause here to protest "droid" not counting as a word. *grin*
Night Scatty Thanks Jac
night scatty
Scatty - if you make it a giant double choc Devil's food cake then my other half will be your slave forever. LOL.
re6/18 add a one hump consonant and the 2nd vowel to your 4/4
thats one of my favourate, it doesn't last long in this house though
Casira - that's nothing new here in Babbleonia. No droids, no phasers, no Mordor etc., etc.
good night scatty
Hi everyone -- just checking in to say hi -- I had the wisdom to not start today --- trying to finish would have been an exercise in frustration and masochism
Hi GreyWoulf! How's Sebastian today?
Good choice GW - I'm done now but there were definitely moments of wishing I hadn't started.
im' going going nighty night gone
hi/bye scatty!
night scatty
Hiya, Wolfie! Yes, you are right. Being seasoned Babblers, as we are, 150 words would be found no probs., and then the rest. No time for that in your life right now. Quite rightly so. *Tickles Seb anyway.*
'Bye yells Jac to Scatty's retreating posterior.
stid -- he is doing great -- I got an absolutely wonderful pic of him and his sister tonight -- I will be sharing it with people soon :)
Joel in NJ waiting for Sue in MP still
Will look forward to seeing that pic, Wolfie.
musicmom - i learned what a one hump consonant is, and got two words! thanks
I have some lovely black and whites that Tom took when our baby (now 11!) was new! Because they were only 26 months apart, they looked so sweet together...
Sorry I wasn't clearer Jeffers - glad you got it
I know you are, Jac -- I am so bad at taking pictures, I felt it was time to add to the album
MM -- help with the spit dropping? Can you give me another clue?
howdy! how's everyone tonight? This is one long grid!!!
Jeffer - if you know American Speedwriting, you'll know what one-hump and two-hump means. LOL.
it was great!
hi gromit!
Suki - what a baby does when it is teething.
suki what you do when you see and smell pizza
Sorry about the spit dropping clues. How else can I put it? Let me think...
got it! thank you. the pizza was the clincher for me
hi all, can anyone help me out with my last one? di6/24
suki - dr+double consonant+hockeystick
argh. I know it's staring me in the face... ti 6/21 (the second one please)
have 133 words... just a drop in the bucket :-(
hey gromit -- it's a biggie, definitely not the biggest we have seen, but a goodly size :)
if you go swimming you go for a di*+fishn** stockings.
the first re 5/16 (actually the only one) please anybody?
back one last time to try and up my count. 60 left but not much steam.
jeffers - adverb form of a ruddy color
re 5/16: start with a color, and turn it into an adverb
Wolfie, I've often been 'guilty' of not taking pics at crucial times. It was because I was just off enjoying them for the moments they are. We all do that. I guess that's why we ask 'outsiders' to what we think might be 'life events' at times, so they can record what we don't think to.
hi again cliffopa, you made up a lot of ground while I was out...
mmom, tytyty! DONE!!
YAY Igorms!
Bravo lgorms
aah - jac-- i am too -- my little guy (who turned 1 yesterday) is photographed a ton -- but at crucial moment i just sucked it up all for my own memory. ah well, i'll just have to tell him about it :)
i feel like there is a mountain in front of me. this one is challenging my sanity.
happy birthday guigrrl
o like me now thanks mm and stid
stid: ty, ti6/21 = small yellowish moth OR ti + virgil's epic poem ending
thanks stid :) it's been fun
Jeffers - if a girl complimented you when you were about 12-14 you might have blushed. If you had then had your photo taken, your cheeks would have shown up re***. Sorry! It's the writer in me that makes me go off on these flights of fancy. LOL.
thanks Igorms!
My biggest prob with the whole picture taking thing is that I am very lazy about getting film developed -- I have had rolls of film lying around for months after I took them. And my digital camera is a hand me down that takes so long to warm up or actually take the pic, that by the time it is ready to flash, the moment is past. :\
stid, did that clue make sense? (Virgil's Aen***)
can only find one of the no 4/5's.
jacula, or if someone gives me the clue and i've been looking for ages ..... ty
okay all, sorry i can't clue tonight--gotta roll, good luck and night!
no4/5 the both start with the first three letters one ends with the second vowel, the other with the 3rd.
Wolfie - a digicam should not take any time at all to warm up. Put new batteries in it!
i really can't believe i didn't see that. must need new glasses.
Igorms it makes sense, I am just trying to figure out why I can't type tonight!
Jeffer - you didn't get my clue then?
ah, got it! dumb figners!
jeffer are you still looking for the re5
My last word... re5/16 (the first one)... help, please?
Jac -- this one is several years old -- when it is turned on it takes about 30 seconds to warm up and be ready to take the first pic -- and when I activate the shutter it takes about 3 seconds for it to process the image -- even with brand new batteries
goodnight Igorms, thanks again!
Jeffer - try this: in crimson fashion.
Wolfie, love, all I can say to you is GET A NEW DIGICAM!
Try e-bay.
Never mind... picked it up from the chat... thanks, Jacula!

Gang - I'm headed out. I'm not doing a very good job reading the log to give clues. Distracted by Greg and the t.v. I hope to see you all tomorrow at some point.
Wolfie! You reprobate! I've promised you bed, board and meals, what more do you want? I can't spend money right now. 2 days from payday and any money I spend before will take me over my overdraft. Not going to let the bank screw me for whatever fee plus about £30 for sending me a letter to tell me I am overdrawn!
nite musicmom and thanks for the help.
ok only 55 to go ....
Night, night, MM.xx
Take care, MM -- I will be heading off soon myself -- just wanted to say hi and chat for a bit

and since we're on e's... en 6/21?
ei -- think "American Id**" but start with ei and end with the recurvy letter
ei + *** and Don'ts.
Thanks Dianne and stidmama!
Hello Dianne
Hi stidmama :)
help with yp7/40?
there's a yp?? this puzzle is crazy.
Leslie - en6/21 - think of a salad plant - drop the last 2 letters then add 3 letter word for English breakfast drink but drop the last letter.
yp is a chemical -- mustard gas -- yp + to *rr is human + ri 4/4
yes LA -- and morewords isn't helping!
ha, take that, e's! (...it's the little victories...)
got it! thanks SM!
I have only a few words left, and need to stretch. Back soon!
sorry diane, i don't know the acidy liquid part.

cliff - it rhymes with the word for fib/falsehood.
mo 7/36 too please
mo 7 - "more of" mo 4/6
Joel in NJ calling for Sue in MP (yes, again)

hi nat! i am in big trouble, 100 words left
id 5/14??
lol, well I don't even have 100, so I am in bigger trouble
ooh, well let me know if you need clues then
LeslieAnn -- I decided I needed a handle here, rather than just my name (Joel), and it was the best pun I could think of in short notice. Not that I'm ever shellacked. Sue said she'd be here this evening -- I'm four big states away this week.
or 7/32: priests are or*****d - a, and change the d to a recurvy letter
leslieann don't get that mo 7 ????
spellacked, maybe she fell into the re's? It's happened to a lot of people today!
mo 4/6 (like a mo** ring) + three letters for "more of" ending
i'm finally out of the re's!!!
id 5/14: if newbies don't understand us, it's because we speak in our own id*** (peculiar way of talking)
way to go cliffopa! I have five left...
I just finished the re's a little while ago, but I'm working from the bottom, so I've a looong way to go (only 119 so far)
Leslie - id5/14 - an expression/saying.
thanks stid, can't believe i missed that one...
