Good evening -- how did everyone do?
Yeah, I like it. Nunx! (as long as it isn't one of those "dirty" words)
hi nan! we finished with a chocolate feast! it was awesome. *burp* excuse me!
Please REFRESH for umbrella day!
Hi, c-nan! I stayed FAR away from Babble yesterday, just waiting to see the stats.
only 74 words today...
sounds wonderful!
Hi Nan!!!! Didn't play - so it didn't bother me a bit!
74 - nothing bigger than a 6 -- really tough I would say
oh oh, my icon's passe' must go change.... BRB!

ooh -- there's a pretty flower in the middle of the grid!
My mom's favorite, too. :-) See, Mom, this grid likes you better already
1/2 hour and only 40 words -- ugh!
i'm slowing down, but Tom is playing sudoku, so I might as well be here -- then tomorrow I can read one of those old-fashioned things made out of dried wood pulp...
Don't feel bad nan, I'm at 33
i 6/33
hullo rebekb! didn't see you when you came in!
came by after the flip, have been busy last few days
that last puzzle looked pretty tough!
just as well -- the last couple grids have been nasty.
I'm at 14! Ha, i'm getting better at this, but oh so slowly.
good evening (or is it morning for you) TheStudent!
the stu -- this is one of the toughest I've ever seen
It's the afternoon here. I've got things to do, but I need to give this a shake.
oh I think I'm too tired for this -- think I'll try to go to bed early for a change --night all!
good night rebekb!
there was one a few days ago that had a few letters that did nothing, this is similar.
E 6/33
yes. it's frustrating.
D 6/27
chic -- how do you find these so fast?
A 6/36 Lickety's list is up... not into overtaxing the tired old brain at this time of night...;-)
ah! Lickety, of course! I thought maybe you were just really, really, good and not using a list... *feeling very small indeed because of course you are really really good, just using your resources* :-)
seems to me your brain is doing just fine, chic ---- I'm for bed -- can't see anything at the moment! :) a demain.
good night nan!
just the last 3 6's... I'm at 50 words now and I'm very tired, had a long day so I'll catch you all tomorrow... 'Nite All...
god, im new here, and i only found 12 words.. hahahaha
good night chic!
g'night cybernan, chic!
well quillan -- it's a short list today (only 74 words), and the puzzle has more than 23 hours left... so there's time. Use your resources: check out the Friends of Babble pages especially Angelsong's page and Babblers Anon and Lickety's Clues; read the info on this site; and ask away!
okay, thanks for the advice
knutmeg -- how you doing? i'm about done for the evening.
48 words and still going.
I've got about an hour before the baby will likely wake up again for more food. will keep the monkey going until then
nice small grid today thats me done before i go to work . bye everyone
oh man -- I remember those days! then when the baby finally wanted to eat, I got so sleepy... once I actually fell asleep with one of them in my lap! Good thing Tom woke me...
YAY ruthy! have a lovely day
same to u stidmama
g'night Ruthy! Yeah, its been that way the last few days. Today my husband let me nap before he went to bed, so I should be good until her next feeding, then to bed for both of us. Maybe I'll finish the puzzle? Not likely, but hey...
night knutmeg
well, we can try! I just switched from sitting to kneeling, so my back gets to change position... :-) but I don't have a problem! LOL
ooh! forgot the arthritic knee. maybe I do have a problem! well... back to sitting!
Heh, whoops! Thankfully not having problems with comfort, except Im' roasting and both my kitties are leaning against me, so not helping. Yay AC in April? Odd for IL
seems there's been a lot of unseasonable weather all over. Ours is about normal, but lots of places in the US and elsewhere have really been getting hammered.
20 words... having trouble with the 6s mostly, and the u's
baby up already? silly kid. still monkeying... got a few of the 6s... any in particular tripping you up?
actually trying this one without a list, so I am not sure... I suspect d, n and u
but if the baby needs you...
all I need is one hand, so i good di + something that changes the color of litmus paper
woo hoo!
only have 1 u, the relaxy one. and I dont have the n yet
mornubg all.
or either of the n's..
yes, I got the relaxy one too... oh well, that's still one more than I had! let's see... anything you need?
morning all not awake yet.
in 5/20?
morning, oggy! it's not as bad as it could be here... but very late... not sure I'll finish tonight.
in 5/20: in + a stock average commonly used to predict economy
Thanks, Stid!! :-)
yw, how's baby tonight, anyway?
oh yeah 30 words!.. still a noob :P
good...asleep at the breast silly girl
pretty good, quillan! remember that sometimes it helps to stop for a little while and then come back...
oh, I loved that -- they're so soft and warm and cuddly... and then they get a little bigger and do headstands...
she's so cute too... distracting at times... found both the ni6's!
woo hoo! I got the battery one -- is there another?
phew, done.
two total, one is a type of ac4/6, the other is ni + ca4/6
hey, grigs! waddaya mean -- done?
Yay Grigs!!
yeah.. yay me.. sleepy me... anybody still need a clue? haven't been paying much attention to the chat log, i'm afraid...
Morning dear gang :)
YAY grigs! hi Sprite!
Morning sprite!
This looks pretty easy. 9 vowels. 74 words. I'm now starting off focusing on the vowels, instead of my usual, straight, rigid/analytical approach.
more w's and y's in the words than i was expecting.. it looks kind of like a 1990's era baby name book in here!
well, i think i'm done for... I'm at 57 words and haven't grabbed the list yet (trying to do like hurshy...) and it's really late here. good night knutmeg, kiss the baby for me (don't wake her), and don't stay up too late. Mamas need their sleep, too!
un6/24?
35 and going..
(((all))) good night
g'night stid 68 words, I'll be done soon :-) then sleep. baby kissed :-)
un 6/24 - un+ (means to eat) too easy if I give you the first 2 letters of the 4-letter word
nyt stidmama
thanks Grigs!!
to clarify, teh 4-letter word is to do with eating, the un/6 means having to do with water.
np, knut. how's typing around teh baby?
OK, getting badgered here. 'night, all.
Un6/36 is relaxing.
one handed typing is fun... I'll be an expert at it in no tume g'night grigs!!
i'll take a rest first.. be right back
Done!! Fastest time for me! And only 2 hours after I finished the last puzzle :-)
wtg knutmeg!
And the relaxing Un6 has a i6 companion.
YAY knutmeg (okay, now I can go to sleep)
mee too! sleep is good :-)
how do you know there's 74 words? (sorry, new here)
Pro players get a stats panel that says how many words. And there are a lot of help pages nowadays, see the last 4 links on the Friends of Babble list on the right :) Welcome and enjoy the game.
isn't winsy a kind of cloth?
ty...i just hit 74 and didn't get any bells or whistles, so i wasn't sure. :)
No, we want Dr_God to make us fireworks on finishing, but so far no luck :) Congrats, good job.
oh it's wincey, never mind.
ty, goodnight!
Close but no cigar, Krys :)
*sigh* I need to get this office stuff done before I can really U6. Think I'll finish this tomorrow. 'night all! ((hugs))
((((hugs)))) right back at ya :) Night Krys, till later!
done
congrats oggy!!!
thats me finished bye all
uwian na
good early morn everyone........still kinda new, but I know where to look - thank you everyone for being kind, but....
I have a question, around what time frame does it normally take some of you to finish these puzzles?
It's impossible to say as the puzzles vary so much in length and some players are much faster than others. Just work at your own pace.
takes me all day!!!
I am at work so going off and on comp fro about 4 hours and only have 33 words.....ugh!!!!
we get good clues when haz is on!!
I know it can be frustrating, but stick at it because unfamiliar words will become familiar through time. Don't worry about the amount of time it takes unless you begin not to enjoy yourself. It took me a long time to finish my first grid!
Thank you saffire! (No pressure.....)
i sit waiting patiently 4 your clues and i have managed to finish 3 puzzles now with your good clues!
Goodness, I am surprised - but glad to help!
but like you say, ihave got better. some of the words get more familiar. still need the list and clues tho!!
I'm a firm believer in the list and I use morewords.com when I run out of inspiration. I can't be doing with monkey-typing, and I find that if you go through lists of words, some of them stick in your head for future reference.
Morning all, Just popping in to find out if this grid is better than yesterday's? Please say yes....!
thanx for the support guys.......good luck and and of course clues r welcome!!! :)
YES
true. and i try to remember what some of them mean. and sometimes it sinks in!
Thanks Haz, :)
Yesterday's was horrible, wasn't it?
yuk! did not come anywhere near finishing that one!
It was one of the hardest there has been for quite a while but I did finally get there.
I got no where near close to finishing that one!! Way too hard for me.........
I finished, but had no great enjoyment in doing it. I like grids where you can get words built up.
got high hopes for finishing todays tho!
Yes, today's should be conquerable.
yea, the fun went out of it around the 1/2 way mark. Well, lets see what todays is really like, will be lurking as usual "dives in and starts the search"
woohoo, just found the alt sp of one of our fav babble words i4/8
A happy day for you!
LOL
I've finished.
well done to you!! that was quick!!
Well done Haz, good going!!!
I have a few things on today, so I needed to get it done quickly. And it's a nice grid, and I used the list!
I'll need to head off now - saffire, may I offer any clues before I go?
HAve a good day Haz.
Okay - happy hunting everybody!
anyone have any clues for the au's for a new convert? i still dont have the hang of this!
Hi I havn't got there yet
au5 = au + the highest scoring tile on this grid + the op of out. au6 is pl.
I just got the aus by looking at the count - the first is au 5/22, which means five letters have to come to 11 points. A and U just make 3, so there's one high-scoring letter that has to come in the word, and looking at the grid it has to come next... then I monkey-typed and got it. The 6 is the plural.
Kukana - you are really a true babbler now then!!!
you mean I'm babbling?! ;-)
thanks!
ROFL, No!!! thats just such a great explanation!
And a warm Babbler's welcome to y'all!!!!! Anyone wanna help me with the r's?
Hi Movieman, when you buy bacon it is usually w/o the ri**, just spell it ry and then pl for the 5.
THanx, FMitch....
y/w
Hi need a clue for the un6/24 please
looks like it should be the opposite of sitting down to dinner
Thanks kukana I was looking from the wrong un got it need another one di4/6 please
took me ages to find that too, it's from the higher D, that confused me. An ordinary word, I hate to give a clue or you'd kick yourself!
omg - you are so right, couldn't see that one for looking, thanks.
Thanks again just found it
Me again what about aw5/18
a + w/48
wow! only 74 words today. of course they could be a difficult 74. how is this one compared to the past 2 days?
Its much better than the last few grids
thank goodness.
I know, thats what I thought. We were due a break but I think we will get hit with a really big grid before too long as we haven't had one for a while now.
thanks fmitch
Hooray I have finished bye
Im done too!!!
yay fmitch and rosalind!
Thank you! will be in the background on and off if clues needed.
i'm hoping i can get quite a few on my own, but i may be screaming for help soon. i'm not finding this to be an 'easy' one.
well, good hunting and enjoy, must go and make some phone calls.
bye :)
hi all
morning :)
Morning all. I've just finished. Took about 45 mins. Not a bad grid but too quickly over.
jac, 45 min? argh!
love the u6/24
did you see the definition atlante? strange. i guess that is why i never heard of it before.
um no ... but I was drawing one yesterday, if its got the same meaning as I know it from
yes. meaning 1 on the definition page.
now I have one as a pic :)
it looks like a beautiful pic. can you provide any help on the ni's?
not yet sorry :( I've only just started - that U was one of my first words
how about you jac? still there?
actually, yes I can. just found 2. NI5/14 - type of battery. NI6/24 - plural
I'm back. Had to deal with a 'phone call.
got those now, thanks!
the other ni is a vitamin. sometimes added to bread.
Cliffopa - if you need ni6/21 it's a component of the vitamin B complex found in meat, wheat germ, dairy products, and yeast and is used to treat and prevent pellagra. Often found in babies' formula milk.
Ah, too late!
maybe i am able to sense your thoughts :) i wish! it will take years before i can do one of these in 45 minutes.
Good morning! Have 6 left to find and my whiny(not in the grid) cat is saying it's about time I finished. Here's what I'm missing and any help will be much appreciated, so I can get out of bed, wipe up the cat vomit and feed him. I know, too much sharing(-: aw5,18 di5,20 in5,20 in4,4 iw4,8 us5,12
the iw sounds like elmer fudd would pronounce a beautiful type of flower that grows from a bulb.
foudn the aw5!
Eva - If I delay feeding my cats because I'm busy Babbling one of them is always sick! It's revenge, I reckon.
aw5/8= a + WA4/8
Thanks cliff!
Yes Jac!
the us ends in the 1st three letters of something my cats will never allow my house to be: ***t & clean
di5/20 - a Muslim chamber or law court, or a collection of Persian poems. di + 3-letter word meaning pale or pallid.
di5/20= sounds like a bed covering (if you had a speach impediment)
us5 is a type of lichen.
in5/20 is more normalled spelled 'en'. You might have a mortgage of this type or be blessed with good looks or talent.
*normally
in 4 is a south american freshwater dolphin.
how much words
in4 - a common Babble word. A South American hairy-snouted dolphin. Sounds like the answer you might give if someone asked where you were. 'I'm in**!'
in 5/20 is just like what you would open to get some fresh air, only missing the first letter
74 words today.
TODAY'S STATS: Total words: 74 Total points: 947 4-letter words: 40 5-letter words: 26 6-letter words: 8 1st letter count - A - 11 C - 9 D - 17 E - 2 I - 6 N - 3 O - 2 R - 2 S - 2 T - 1 U - 4 W - 15
eva, did you manage to get all your words?
I'm off to do some work. TTFN.
Hi everyone. Nice little grid today. I might get some other things done 8)
i am working backwards in the alphabet today. got off to a rough start but now i'm on a roll. only 12 left!
g'day
morning itry :)
howsit?
hard for me at first. but i'm on a roll now. only 8 more to go.
wow cliff....ive got 3 in 15 secs. thats a record for me =P
yipee! i'm done!
kudos, cliffopa!
never finished this early before. i'm in shock :o
Congratulations, cliffopa.
15 to go . . . gotta take the pups out for morning pee before monsoon hits!
This is a great day for umbrellas here in Ohio
Good morning, shorty. Have you got April showers?
Oh Yeah
hi shorty! looks like rain in the future here in NH. dark skies :(
we have thunder lightning down pours we have it all
and it was soooooooooooooo nice yesterday I hate weather like this
yikes! don't like lightning storms. always knocks my connection out.
Look on the bright side, it may be nice again tomorrow!
yeah its gonna be nice tomorrow
you are right haz. we even have a saying in New England 'if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute' because the weather changes so frequently.
It's pretty changeable here as well. We don't have quite as dramatic weather as in the states.
well now we have a severe weather warning it just flashed on my weather icon
Oh dear! Use babble to distract yourself.
sorry to hear that shorty :( I guess i'll head in to the office early today - then maybe i can leave early without a fuss. happy friday everyone!
Bye cliffopa, have a good day.
I HATE OHIO WEATHER
Does anyone have a hint for the 'un' 6/24?
relax after work
un6/24 - add a word that means to eat out
That relaxing after work I have as a 6/36
Good Morning Babbleland!
To eat out? My brain is going to be taxed today, I can see that already.
Hello musicmom.
Morning Haz. I take it I missed a humdinger grid yesterday? This one doesn't look too bad.
It's di4/5
Good Morning Babblers. I'm home.
musicmom - yesterday's grid was a stinker! This one is much more civilised.
{{{{{Faerie}}}}}}}}}I've been missing you!!!!!
Faerie - I've missed you! Welcome back.
I wish they would let me unwax the car. Now I have to eat out with an 'un'
Is it a prefix then? un
Oh good! I only had about 2 hours to play yesterday and when I read part of the log I decided to skip it.
Merk - I have learnt to suspend disbelief as far as Babble goes.
((Music)) I've been in Kentucky for a week visiting with my Mom and brothers and sisters and friends who know way too much about me. *grin*
Did you have a good trip? Where in KY?
Good Morning Haz - I've missed all of you. It felt like I left part of my family behind.
Merk - in this case the un isn't a prefix - the word has a different meaning to how it looks.
*points to my pic* is an un****
It was fantastic. I always have a good trip to Ky. My Mom is such a little sweetie. She is 88 and still has a sparkle in her eye.
Well, faerie, it's good to have you back with us.
Oh I almost forgot. I got while in Ky.
I got SHOT while in KY
Got what - WHAT?
Very cool Faerie. While you were gone, I got all the baseboards and chair rails back up, ordered living room furniture and am going to Cincy tomorrow to get a hutch and antique organ.
Glory be, whathappened, faerie?
WHAT??????????
mornin babblers!!
The 'un' is going on the back burner while I eat breakfast. My mind is blank.
Paintball. I've never played. Bought my great nephew a gun and all the stuff to go with it and the accidentaly shot me in the butt twice and once in the face. Got me in the chin. Looks terrible but he learned a very good lesson. I brought it all home with me.
Oh Merk - you are going to d4 on your breakfast. Glad you aren't un doing it.
Morning evanadine - we're waiting to find out how faerie was shot....
LOL Faerie --- those little pellets leave a mark - don't they?
Morning EVAN!
gonna run + go get breakfast...back in a bit!
Well, it's a relief you weren't shot with bullets!
I told him if you shoot a faerie you loose the gun....He lost the gun for at least a year. He is 11yrs old.
Good reasoning Faerie. heheheheee. 11 year olds what joy! Sarah turns 12 a week from today. Unbelievable.
I had to go to the dentist. He almost shot my teeth out. I have a big bruise and scabbie chin now. Looks worse than it is. :) But he doesn't have to know that.
UGH! Ouch!!! I don't go outside when they are playing paintball. Sarah doesn't play but she has friends who do.
So you can guilt trip him for a while yet.
Music-Lucas just turned 11 so he is wild. And thinks he knows pretty much everything :)
glad you're all right, faeriekae. Here in Idaho there are free gun safety lessons for all kids who want them starting at age 10. The Dept of Fish and Game teaches them. The youth don't have to actually have a gun in order to take the course.
And you thought giving him paint-ball was a good idea......
OF COURSE he knows everything. <sarcasm>
Haz - you bet I can. I left a photo of my injury with his Mom so she can pull it out everytime he brings up the fact that Aunt Kae took his gun awayl.
Haz-I don't have children. I don't know what I was thinking. He older brother has one and he really wanted to be able to play with him. Too bad.
brb - need more coffee. Got home this morning at 1:30am.
It's difficult to buy things for children. You probably fondly imagined all the fun and laughter they would have together, not that he would turn it on you. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!
That is very true Haz. We have bought the girls things through the years that seemed like a great idea at the time. Then it was nothing but regret.
I'm back. Haz I spent $300.00 for gun the paintballs. 02 tank and last but not least face protection.
I learned a very good lesson myself. LOL
ouch!!!
{{{Shorty}}} Hi :)
You are obviously a very generous aunt, faerie!
Thanks everyone for all the good help erarlier. The cat moved from vomiting and whining to going to wake my husband up to complain that I hadn't fed him, so I had to go. Then since I was up I went for a walk in the woods before it rains. Then meditation. Then came back and found your wonderful clues for those last 3 words, et voila! Fini!
No. Remember, I have it all now. LOL
HEllo faerie been reading your posts where at in Kentucky?
all finished, it was nice to have a shory one today
Felicitations, Eva! (going with the French mood)
Should we warn John? Next time he sands without covering....watch out
CONGRATULATIONS EVA!!!
hey all!!!! how meny today?
Hi Scatty Bye scatty. Bravo on the finish.
74 words today
Shorty - Somerset its about 75 miles South of Lex.
Merci beaucoups, Haz.
Lake Cumberland.
Bravo Eva!
Music - what a great idea LOL
74 words dosn't seem to hard! :)
oh cool my sister goes there alll the time
Faerie...next time maybe a nice watercolor paint set(-: Altough 10 year old boys can turn pretty much anything into a weapon.
Congratulations Scatty!!!
Faerie - I've been there. My cousin and her husband lived near Lake Cumberland for a while. We will be in Lexington in May for a short time. Taking Hannah to the Horse Park. That girl is horse crazy.
Famous last words, hardcore -- it's an okay grid today.
harcore-depents on which 74
gots me a blueberry bagel with cream cheese + honey and a glass of skim milk!! *yummy*
Eva-excellent idea on the water colors LOL. He also shot a black cat. He is evil.
brb filling my coffee cup
yes thats very true eva
You're painting a very flattering picture of Lucas, I must say..
Okay, that's serious! Shooting yoiu is one thing, but a cat?!!!(-:
Shorty - where does your Sis go? And Wow what a small world we live in. I love Somerset. It is a growing town thats for sure.
cheers faeriekae, its the first one i've finished for the past few days, the other ones were really long
YUMMY evan. Sounds delicious!
whereever the lake is they go boating
Okay - a year might not be long enough for punishment<G>
Lucas is actually a pretty good boy he gets really good grades and listens to his Mom and Dad pretty good as far as cleaning his room and stuff but just found out about the ADD thing.
Scatty-feels good to finish one doesn't it? I'm going to jump in and see what I can do.
Shorty-be careful. You guys in the midwest have some dangerous weather. Here in the northeast we get rugged stuff, but very little that is truly dangerous. We did have what they called a "microburst" last summer. A very localized tornado, but it was nothing compared to the real grown up ones. Took down a bunch of trees and put the power out for a couple of days, but no home damage or injuries.
good (substitute your time of day here) everyone! here is my bumbershoot
Eva - we have been having some hefty storms today. They seem to have blown over for the time now.
okay, breakfast time. See you all later.
eva ty I knew they said severe but wow I'm hoping there wrong as they usally are !! LOL
Shorty-could be close to my family. Lake Cumberland is the "big" attraction in Somerset. Lots of boaters from Ohio come into town.
Later Eva :)
Bye Eva. I'm jumping into the grid. Going to try to finish before noon.
cya eva!
we had a tornado touch down here in south central Idaho this week, and that has NEVER happened in the town where it hit. Made the front page. Speaking of weather, I'm 'dressed' properly now for today. I used to have an umbrella that looked just like this.
I'm also jumping in. I have a bedroom to take apart later and reassemble.
hmmmm faerie that would be so cool if they knew them
Shorty-wouldn't it :)
I have a ton of laundry to do and Im suppose to go to a ladies overnighter so im jumping in also
it would!!!!
faeriekae, its quite easy today, a couple of fiddlier ones but monkey typing sorted them out, i'm off now to play in the greenhouse so that we have some flowers for the summer, see you all tomorrow, bye
anything to get away from my husband
bye scatty
Bye Scatty have fun :)
LOLOL Shorty
I love him but I cant stand him
Isn't it funny that we all have other stuff to do but are going to solve this grid first?
hi everyone!
LOL MM
I know that feeling :) Sometimes it is just best to get away for a little bit.
so true, MM!! :-D
Morning TO :)

I dont have a pattern im greatfull for any i get lol
Good morning everyone!
w4 (air) is added to lots of the 6 words.
Good morning angela.
thanks, musicmom -- it's like one I used to have. Faeriekae, I went 'pro' a few months ago, but thanks! Just checked the ranking this morning and WHOA -- I've topped 1000, which is awesome! I must say, at least 999 of those points belongs to all of you for the clues :)
I just topped 1000 on the Who's Hot list but not on the cream of the crop. I'm close though.
I agree they aren't my points -= they are everyone's points.
Does anyone have any clues for the un6/24. Thats the last one I need and I cannot seem to work it out.
un 6...when youre over stressed ..you need to un..
M3 - di6/27 starts like girls best friend ends like s** Charise
un6/24 un+di4/5
M3 di6/27 di+ac4/6
Thanks heaps musicmom. Although I didnt know that un6/24 was a word like that. Guess I will look it up. Thanks again!
yw
Ok, I learnt something new it didnt even have anything to do with eating ... which makes a strange type of sense! =p
M3 did you find it? brb

LOL Hadn't thought about it but now I pwopaly will.
I am completely finished!
yah musicmom!!!!!!!:)
I need to sweep the kitchen and run the vacuum = then I'll be back to clue. Give me about 15 - 30 minutes.
Hello
hello harpjane
sweep? vacuum? what evil thing are you advocating, mama?
hehe, it's umbrella day in Babble..... and it's raining in London! : / hi guys (( hugs )), how is everyone? how's today's grid? : D
I have to sweep and vacuum. Child safety issue. I'm watching a friend's 15 month old this morning because the friend is ill.
It's raining in Ohio too. Okay - be back soon.
Any hints on the wa 4/8 which is after the wa 5/18?
I have "Slow down, wa4/8 for me!" but I might be missing something in between.
wa4/6 - remove 4th letter from word above
Of course -- I never looked in that direction -- thank you.
Most grateful to you all -- I'm FINISHED
yay ARB!!!
I am not seeing the ni5 or the ni6...
Congratulations MusciMom!!!! Congratulation s ARB!!! back to moving furniture. be back shortly.
ni5/14 -rechargeable battery ni6 - plural
oops, i just found one ni5 and the ni 6... which sounds like kneepads...
Good Morning, All! Just dropping in to say hi, finished the puzzle awhile ago. (Like sometime when it was dark out... time is so subjective lately...)
ni 6/21 - white crystalline acid
i'd like to make "nitwit"
atalante, are you lurking around anywhere? :)
babbler! i have a suggestion - move harry potter day to july 31, as that is his birthday :)
any clue for the last ca5/14?
where'd everybody go?
ash - ca 5/14 is a tooth-related or dog-related word
Hey hurshy! Wanna chat? : )
ca5- means of the dof family
hurshy...not following?
i mean dog
thanks! i got it
thank you hirsh & knutmeg
I should be packing (we're moving in a week) but I still have 4 words to find... Would anyone happen to have clues for do5/20 in5/20 in6/33 and ni6/24 so I can get back to the packing? :D
could I get a clue for the T?
in5- in + word for stock average
The T-word is apparently a river in North England.
in6/33- same as en 6
ty 4/6 - Newcastle's river
KV, do 5 when a child hurts himself, he has an O***, add a D to the front
hey Hurshy...vicuna...everyone! Had to step away for a few.
the ty a river in northeastern England, formed by the confluence of two headstreams
hi angela, and oh yes, certainly loly!
KV ni6/24, plural of the 5 before it.
Thanks!
ni6/24 plural of ni5
do you have AIM, lola?
hursh, no, I don't...but I've only just started babble so I'll be here for awhile : )
you should download AIM! :) if you make your buddy name the same as it is here, i can easily get in touch with you.
it's free, you just go to www.aim.com and get it.
okay hursh, I'll check it out when I finish here : )
I'm finished! Thank you so much everyone! :D This is the first time I've ever finished a puzzle. :)
YAY KITTY!

Excellent kitty!! Good job!
Woot! Well done kitty! : )
da5/16 is a flower
Hurshy, do you listen to music while you babble/sudoku?
nevermind -- got it!
"Bus stops. Bus Goes. She stays. Love grows... under my umbrella." Hello, all. Raining skies here today - fitting weather for umbrellas.
thank you, haz -- i suprise myself sometimes with what i can miss.
Heeey Judi! : D
Oh, we're all guilty of not spotting things!
Thanks Judi - I had forgotten about that song - one of my favorites!
i don't usually listen to music from outside my head - however at the moment "la cucaracha" is stuck IN my head, loly dear :)
could be worse Hursh...could be like a Barney song or something :)
ah... no kids for me, so i happily do not know barney songs, except for the infamous "i love you, you love me..."
Okay, that's a weird combo, I'm listening to Bach (music geek, I like all sorts of things, this morning is classical) and suddenly la cucaracha jumps into my head. Whee! and stuff...
no kids here either...but somehow that stuff creeps into the mind...scary!
8 / ...you seriously don't listen to music??
well... i will if you want me to loly :)
Personally...I've had Billy Joel's "Bottle of White, Bottle of Red" stuck in my head for daaaaaaaaays. I don't even like it...
i HAVE music. it just never occurred to me to listen to it while babbling.
stick with the theme but switch it to "red, red wine", angela :)
lol, no, I don't make ask people to do things they don't want to. It's just that my life would be a very grey place without my tunes : )
will do. Next up on the hit list...Tequila!
'make ask'??? Aww, you know what I mean : )
oh no! now we're all going to have tequila in our heads!
Good morning, everyone :)
*lola holds out empty glass in Angela's direction*
Hi cyber : )

congrats bookgrrl!! : )
Lol! I know gramma, but this is babble tequila...you can drink more of it before that happens! : D
aw 5/18 is a slightly old fashioned way to say 'expect' or 'anticipate'
Lola, no I don't. I will find them easier this time, I hope.
See what you started Judi? :) It's a gooooood thing! It's so festive!!
cheers to mama's day off!!! *hic* oh, excuse me!!
Yay bookgrrl! And hi to all newcomers! The Babble Bar is open today!!

Darn. Left my silver platform shoes... somewhere. Can't remember. Too much tequila. Oh well, will just have to dance in my Clarks loafers.
I'm dense today. aw 5,18 ... are you allowed to tell me the third letter of it?
I'm glad it's only 10am.. means my DAY OFF is just beginning. I just wish I didn't have so much work to do on it! See ya later Minski! Buy us somethin at the store!

Bugzy - too perfect!!! 8 D chad - 74

thanks eastern blue, where did you find that? i am only up to 31... i feel dumb!
smell those shrip they're beginnin' to boil...
lola - whoa!! I still have 6 hours of work to get through!! : )
chad - don't feel dumb. Some of the words are not in common usage, and you get better with practice.
brb
chad - as a 'pro', I have a stats grid... Plus there are links on the right (either Angelsong's page, Lickety's page or Babbler's Anonymous).... Welcome to babble!!
thanks haz and eastern blue! how many can you folks get?
Time to shower and sober up :) Be back later...happy babbling!
I've finished, so I have 74 words.
chad - I usually try to get them all (with lots of help from the log/babble friends for clues!!)
*Bugzy, now done dancing around the room with pretend margarita, attempts to find more than the 17 words that she's gotten so far*
Angela, ty for the drink...it's delicious!
See ya, Mama and Angela :)
Anytime Gramma! I'm off - Later!
are there any using the X?
Yes - au5 and au6
By a quick count, there are about 3 words with the X in them. I could be wrong though, I'm not the brightest bulb today.
ooh just got them thanks!
*I'm singin' in the rain...just singin' in the rain...what a glorious feeling...I'm happy again...* hmmm...that could *drunk* be from 3 shots of tequila & some margarita's... *la la la la laaaa....la la-de-da daaa....I'm dancin' and singing in the rain...*

Woot! Go knutmeg! She's a cutie : )
knut - congrats on going pro...what a beautiful little baby girl!! <3
ooops! sorry haz.
Woo hoo knutmeg - and what a beautiful little girl :)
knutmeg - we'd rather have the baby than an umbrella!
welcome knutmeg, what a beautyful Baby, hope you enjoy Babble as much as i do
chad - it's something we all do accidentally from time to time. I hope you enjoy finding the rest of the words. They are there, just waiting to be discovered.
are there any words more than 6 letters long? just curious
OK, this is definitely a sign. Radio station is now playing Red Red Wi4/8!!

No - 6 is the longest today.
nope, chad 6 is the longest
Yes, just leave her there, Knutmeg. What is her name?

er....make that aW5 ans aW6 :)cant type!
They're on my "looking" list also, Beck
i am very bad at getting online music stuff to work!
hursh, do you have a page on lastfm now?
us5/12 is a type of lichen, like Old-Man's Beard.
I keep looking at my last 14 words, but nothing is happening!
Can you give a "break-down" clue, Kitty?
is there an aw6?
no, Lola, aw5 is the longest aw
aw's -- no 6 -- a 5 and 2x4
that's what I thought, thanks knut : )
i'm still working on it lola, it's downloading something
hursh, let me know once you have a user name and a page : )
my username i picked - same as here
us5- us + abbr for nautical direction + first vowel
us5/12 - add first 3/4 of synonym for "close by"
knutmeg - your baby is adorable!!! Congrats! How old is she?
ty knut
hursh, you have a page on lastfm! Just left you a message in your shoutbox : )
Liv is 2 weeks and 4 days old. :-)

How sweet!
hello again everyone!
Hi Temple
Hi temple! I see we had the same idea about umbrellas, lol! : )
ah, lola - GMTA!!!
Thanks musicmom! Yay IL! Lived in Chicago proper until I moved in iwth my husband 4 years ago. But I grew up in the boonies. Gotta love that IL has it all. :-)
Hi TO! Nice umbrella - the Babble Bar is open! :)
oh i got your message loly
i'm guessing soundhog is anj?
the bar in babbleland is ALWAYS open : D
it's a little early for the bar here --- why don't they put umbrellas in coffee drinks?
di 6?
I am in the Garfield Ridge area of the city, knut.
They don't for unknown reasons, Musicmom, but hey, nothing says you can't put an umbrella in your coffee. :-)
di+ac4//6
Hi Temple!
hursh, yup! ...how'd you guess?? lol! and babs-05 is babbler : )
thanks musicmom
hi mamabear! : )
I lived in Logans Square, worked downtown. Now I work in the 'burbs where I live. Miss the city, but husband hates it, and I love him more than the city...
i can't hear any music yet though :(
what is lastfm?
mm, it's a music site...lots of fun. There is a thread in babs anon (anj started it) if you're interested : )
music site? interested? brb
hursh, it takes a while before your radio becomes active but try listening to one of mine for now...or anyone else's whose music you like : )
ok, it says i have to run the player application for the first time in order to enable the website's radio buttons... how do i do that?
good morning, good morning! (((all))) knutmeg! pretty baby! did you (both) sleep well? I still have another 7 words left, resorted to the list when I hit 67...
hursh, I think it means it needs to know what you are listening to first before it can choose tracks for you. That's what the scrobbler is for :)
hi stid! : )
Morning (at least for four more minutes here) all.
good morning stidmama!
Hi mab! : )
i have music!
morning mab!
it's kinda going in and out though, is my connection poor?
Good Morning stid!! We got 4 hours straight! It was lovely.
Hi Stid and Mab !
ugh, it's very annoying, is there anything i can do to make it stop being so jumpy?
hi hardcore! how's the grid for you today? 4 hours in a row? That's pretty good for her age! i'll be back and forth for a while as I do chores, and dogs, and...
hursh, what kind of connection do you have? Have you tried skipping to the next track?
Must get food (to soak up all those margaritas!!) BB soon!
i have a full-time wireless connection through the school server...
I had last fm for awhile, but my slow dial up connection could not accomodate the transmission of music. I have the public radio station on 24 hours anyway. Still....
bugzy, bring back some anchovie stuffed olives...all this tequila has made me peckish for salty snacks! : D
the grids good today i'v got 35 and i'v ben here sence 9:00
i have ni 5 and ni6...what am i missing please?
i skipped to next track but it's the same way
I was definitely loving the grid this morning hardcore... such a nice change after the last few days
hurshy, is that the same as broadband? We are walking VERY close to the limits of my tech knowledge, btw : /
hurshy: if you just want music in general - try wxpn.org - live concert by martin mediski and wood begins in 1 minute...for all of you jazzy fans
yeah, loly, i have low tech knowledge too... i have no idea if it's like broadband. it seems to be better if i don't try to do anything else on the computer... :)
sorry - that's martin , medeski and wood...if i were off today i'd be there : (
You might have to synchronize your computers reception with the transmission. Or something like that. You might try going to what microsoft calls your control panel.
oh i think it's getting better... it may just depend on how many students are logged into the server - and now they are all logging off to go to chapel
Are those your attorneys, Temple?
Done -- what a lot of stupid words and non-words!
thanks temple! *lola makes note of site address* hursh, Anj may be able to help (I couldn't even get music to play on last by myself, lol!) but he's not in at the mo. I'll ask him next time he's on-line, okay?
ugh, nope, bad again - where in control panel should i go, mab? :)
thanks, loly!!!! :) :) :)
YAY nan!
*lola makes squinty, confused face and clings to mab*

I did the grid this morning nice one today....just popped in to see you all!!
I'm back -- anyone want a clue?
How about the first do 5/20?
3 to go...
mab, pink is not really my color, but i would love to have a cat umbrella. i collect cat things. (and a few cats too)
do 5/20: rock star David -- change first letter
Nice clue! Thanks.
thanks nan.... 2 to go...
My very best friend is a cat thing and cat collector too. Personally, I'm partial to pink.
I used to make raku-fired cats -- will have to find a pic to post
when i went over 40, i started leaning toward muted earth tones. plus i'm more of a tomboy and i could never find pink fishing gear :)
interesting, nan. I would enjoy seeing pics.
okay, help on the us 5/12, please?
i like pink, but when I wear it, people treat me like a child. *pout* i'm almost 40, after all1
aw 5/18? been stumbling over that for a bit...
I LOVE pink! Although it is a relatively new phase for me : )
us + abbr for nautical direction + first vowel
Hi bunny : )
a + wa4/8
a + w 4....
aw 5: when you go to hospital emergency you always have a w***!
thanks knutmeg! pass the fish...
don't feel bad stidmama. i'm 46 and people always think i am 15 to 20 years younger. it can be embarassing: when my son and i go out for dinner, etc. people often mistake me for his girlfriend.
..and good morning Lola
praes u lurking
done. *celebratory jig* and I haven't even started to drink my coffee!
TY for the aw, think I tried all but that (and the us, good clue). I just started...shouldn't be getting clues yet.

YAY Merk!
Hi bunny. Well done Merk
Congratulations, Stidmama!! I don't wear pink cuz I'm a red-head, but I always get carded for stuff no matter how I'm dressed..even R movies if I don't have my husband with me!

Congrats to all finishers
They are FINALLY all well. keep your fingers crossed! Think we're going to hit the zoo this weekend, it's so pretty. There is a craft auction at the National Guard for the troops. It'll be fun to get out with them, let em meet some of the guys.

YAY LeslieAnn!
Hello from Kentucky everyone - hi hurshy. I finished early today so can give clues now if needed.
hi stidmama - saw you yesterday as I was leaving I think... rotten one, that
back later - class time!
Bye Hursh
Stid, I like this tangleword, it shows you what you have missed to the side.
later hursh : )
Hi, I'm back for a few more words before finish moving furniture. WeeGee-were in Kentucky? I just got back from there last night.
Any clues for the io's please.
hi weegee -- yes, I was so tired after yesterday's puzzle that i fizzled out on this one last night... finished it just a little while ago.
Lexington, faeriekae . Were you rained out at the baseball opening game?
the io's both have to do with that painful, stingy stuff my mother used to put on cuts (might have been before your time?) io + to eat supper - e
and the other io: io + the cubes with pips on them - e
io 5/12 - like a brown orange medicine you put on cuts without the e
faeriekae, that is a sweet umbrella!
weegee-My family lives in Somerset so I went down for a week and had a great time. The weather was fantastic. I hate it here in Michigan. It just changed from rain to snow in the last 1/2 hour.
aha, i am in class but here anyway - how do you like that - i can teach and babble at the same time - i am so multi-talented
Stid - thank you. I'm liking yours much better than mine. I could handle a beach right now.
stid, so far I've resisted staying awake for the flip... the last stage before admitting addiction I think :)
Afternoon all. Just checking the list. Hi Faerie. Missed you the last few days. Hope you had a good trip.
Hi faerie! *lola waits hopefully for a dusting of faerie dust* : )
hursh, lol! : D
Hi capone

Are you monitoring a test, hurshy?
{{Capone}} Hi....I missed you guys also. How is baby monkey doing?
Woot! Thanks faerie! *lola twirls to see the faerie dust sparkle*
no...but a) my students are not here yet and b) i only have one word left to find and c) mostly they do probs on the board while i watch and guide
lola - now it feels very quiet without lastfm :) but i don't suppose it would be good to listen in class :)
hi capone, vicuna, anyone else I missed... i decided to try the beach umbrella and see if it would improve the weather... seems to have worked! shall I send some to the upper midwest?
hursh, I think it's the dw5/20 you need : )
Everything is ok. Gotta go.
what subject do you do, hurshy?
Lola - I dusted my Mom with faerie dust while in Kentucky and she loved it LOL she stood in front of the mirror to see the glitter. She has dementia.
bye capone
Um, no. Better not hursh! : D
Please send Sunshine my way Stidmama... Bye Capone
I better get, see ya'll tomorrow!
Hello, stidmama! (only a little slow today)
Aww, that's lovely faerie! Sounds like I'd like your mum : )

DW! i knew babble was going to do that to me!
i do calculus and precalculus, calculus right now
i'm going to go for a little while -- sorta here, sorta not -- want to put my leg up (just tripped over the toolbox someone left in the middle of the laundry room floor) *waits for sympathy*
Hi Vicuna :)
*sympathy sympathy*
thanks lola - done! and here are my kids. see you guys later!
bye bunny! okay, fairiekae -- warm breezes blow, clouds roll away, the sky brightens, and the air smells sweet with the scent of flowers...
Hello, faeriekae!
YAY hurshy!
bye hurshy
Lola - she is an angel - she actually ask me for more before I left to come home *smile* So I sprinkled her again. I was going to leave some for my sis to give her a sprinkle once in awhile but Mum said NO only Faerie can do that...LOL
If y'all aren't needing clues I'll get myself back to work, too. Running a very sloooooow switchboard today.
later hursh : )
thanks vicuna *hobbles off* later, all!
Every time we have the dw word, I can't stop thinking of that old knock knock joke, "Dwayne da bathtub! I'm dwowning!"

'nut, howdy, I just finished!
hey happy friday to you too (even though i work all weekend)
hmmm, good going chic - i only just got home from work, 57 to go and a birthday party to attend. it just never works out for me, even on the small puzzles.
sorry talk, don't worry, i'll be working too, just from home is all.
'nut ... me either, only 4th day but 11 words to go and stumped completely. i've used a bazillion clues. i really need to read more so i can learn more vocab
there's a lot of straight forward words and a small amount of wacky words....:-0
i'll trade! I work in a grocery store making bagels lol saturdays are hellish! :-P
no talk, just take my attitude, find words until it loses the fun, then just gab.
good attitude... .i'm just stubborn and hate to not finish things, bad habit hehe
are you sure you wanna trade talk? i work 60 hours a week.
i've only played for a few days but seems the same crowd comes around everyday, thats pretty neat
during normal weeks, definitely no thank you lol but i can scare you with horror stories of our store the week of xmas ... i did 102 hours LOL
yes, the same sad, hopelessly addicted crowd. * puts up arms to block chics attack *
hope you got double time for that chic
er, talk, i mean talk
oh yeah, that's right , easily amused and easily addicted. I rarely hit poor defenseless creatures, tho...
time and a half... but the check was very nice... just ran on so much adrenaline i was fine til xmas eve when i crashed after work, could've slept for a week straight lol customers are evil! We couldn't even keep up, it was nuts..... i've always wanted to do my own business or work from home, allows (u would think) more time around family and friends, but i'm sure not always the case, as u said u work a ton of horus
you've certainly got the poor part right.
weeeelll, yes talk, but i work for a big evil company. (okay, they're not evil, they're the good guys actually), but most small business owners i know work all the time.
talk, I've worked retail and owned my own businesses. Glad I'm all over that...now contemplating putting up my own website
chix de clix, work, you, after you so cruelly taunted me yesterday about shopping and nails! how darest thou.
darlin' that was, of course, many years ago... I managed wine shops for a number of years. Now I just volunteer 3 hrs. a week. I've paid my dues and earned my leisure....
i'm earning my hypertension
brb phone call, not ignoring u guys
I take a pill for that everyday... btw, what do you do for work?
a company that does background investigations. i sort out the bad guys.
all i have is klonopin - and i save it for out and out emergencies
Hooray! I have finished for the first time ever! Just needed to share the happy. :)
WTG girl alive - isn't that fun?
Hi, there. I'm about to have to fetch dinner. Any help with a ca 5/14 -- or a da 5/12? Book
Congrats Girlalive! Woo Hoo!!!
Congrats, girl!
wa 4/9 and wa 5/20 are killing me, any clues?
Do you need a magic wa** for wa 4/9?
talk 24, think magic wa**
w's - think of the desert -
talk - wa's are expanses of beautiful, sandy land in the middle east.
ca 5/14 - your on ca**** camera (kind of, nix the d)
Thanks Evanonut!
wa 4/9 = wa + princess ** , lately of england
pro nob book

Had a phone call from hubby, 'nut your job sounds like it might be interesting sometimes. The last 40 hr. week job I had was working in Administration for the 2000 census in WA. That was a hoot; we had a wacky fun director and she was a tough one too.
talk, in school, you'd get detention for shooting spid wa4/9
harpjane -- di 5/20 -- from duck til **** plural
dammit from dusk til **** plural rather
Deeha, think cd's for the di4
got that one... the one between what u do when someone's late and to desire something (does that make sense? LOL)
chic, was that job interesting? once or twice a week, i read something that has me rolling on the floor laughing.
thanks chic what a birdbrain it was staring me in the face!!!
this is really scary, talk! I got the clue before you made your correction!
Dee, da4 is the first 4 letters of the flower...
da5/12?

2 left, please help! ni6,21 and un5,20
We had a great crew at the office. It got stressful at times but we processed over 4000 applications.
un 5 think of un + a very funny person!!
ni 6, take your B vitamins!
ni 6/21 is something like vitamin B found in meats maybe?
wow chic! that can be how many they want us to review in a day, granted it never happens, but then, thats why i work so danged much.
ni6 - think of ni- what sounds like a naughty deed - using a c
un 5 = un + a very clever person
halfway there, oooohhhhheeee
woohoo! can't thank you enough, would have drove me nad to miss the last 2
i have 6 to go and i want to scream lol
Congrats, kaurie!
hee, or mad if i could type
yay kaurie :)
come on, talk you can do it. What clues do you need?
okay, party time peoples, maybe later.
Later, 'nut!!!
okay here's what i have left.... 1st ca 5/14
ca5 is plural of your first ca 4
di 5/20
di + rather pale looking
i have that ca 5/14, i think it's a diff one.... is that the first one? unless i'm messing up my list.. blah i want to give in lol hmmmm
the other ca5 is an anagram of that one.
i am still struggling with the un 5/20... and the last two wa 's 4/9 and 4/8
Hi all. I finished earlier & just popped in to see if anyone needs a few clues
the other ca 5 is the rlated to dog genus all in bottom left...
can anyone help with en 6/1 please?
kls, for the un5 check clue at 5:02...
sorry janus - haven't got either of the e's - ready to give up and go to bed - will ring you tomorrow
thanks chic... i am just being dense... cant see it.....
en6= en + blowing air...
janus, en + air that blows gently or for storms
the other e is opposite of begins
leen i think i'll pack in too just 9 to go . I don't think i'll ever finish one. too.
thanks for clues
hi everyone how many words today please
wa9- get out your magic wa** wa8-we all have needs and wa**
weegee - I saw that one just as I was about to log out - a fitting one to finish on- tx!
wish i could've given more clues... sorry wasn't reading cuz i was trying to figure out my last few words
hi jean, short one, just 74
74 words
jean 74 today
awww... don't give up so close! we'll clue you! :)
lol oh good grief im nowhere near that yet thanx weegee
chic, you give good clues. The hardest clues are definition ones where folks expect you to google the def... I like "sounds like", "rhymes with" etc.
last wa 4/9 ... i finally figured out that ca 5/14 lol i'm an idiot haha
hint... the moving air one... is end of several, in, en, un...
i have those two wa's....thanks.....the others?
yeah chic has given me great clues too all night
another hint... take the lst 2 ca's (4/6 & 5/14) and substitute w for the c and you've got the lst 2 wa's (4/9 & 5/20)
that was one weegee.... thanks! only three to go! i am stuck, but so close and i really want to actually finish one! but i need my sleep! what to do!
Kudos to other great clue givers: mrpresident, hurshy, stidmama, musicmom.... any other compliments to pass on?
ok kls... what are they? (do you use lickity's list?)
only 4 to go... i really want to finish one this week!! :) any help? and then i swear i'll shut up lol di 5/20 ni 5/14 ni 6/24 wa 4/9 (last of them)
i am just impressed with all of you! this is my first real attempt at this and to think there are those of you that whizz through it every day!
kls, i must completely agree... only have tried 4 grids so far and they've all driven me nuts. i'd never come anywhere close to finish without all of the clues everyone gives!
wa 4/9 magic wa**
thanks weegee....they are un 5/20... there have been a few clues that i just cant get for this one.... wa 4,8 (i think) and wa 5,18
di 5/20 like what a mattress sits on but one letter out.
see, i am an idiot, i swore i had that already
ni 5/14, vitamin b, add word for caustic liquid in batteries and change last letter d to n (next is plural)
un 5/20 ... un+ sometimes u're at the end of your **** minus the last letter when u're going crazy.... ummm let me think, i still suck at giving clues lol
un 5/20... add 3 letters from word for color of snow minus h & e
ni 5/14 is not really one word but two abbreviations. more of a 2,3 /14
yay! finally.. got that one! thanks... just the two wa's now...
wa 4/8 preceeding wa 5/18 right before other wa 5/18 for part of body where belt goes... Loudon Wa**wright III (make plural for 5/18)
us5?
talk24hr, you most definitely do NOT suck at giving clues!
us 5: if not far, then n**r (drop r)
its the wa 4,8 just after the two 15's i am missing now.... last one! the anticipation is killing me! you would think i did this all by myself! (which i couldnt even contemplate at this point!)
no talk you definitely dont. and weegee, you are fantastic!
thanx weegee lol yeah but i'm still an idiot and stuck on these ni's ... i've been up since 2am, it's almost 7pm here now, i'm probably just not getting it yet lol
wa 4/8 if one doesn't show up on time u have to **** for them
talk you are great! thats it!
kls lol thanks, just half asleep i guess lol
ni...brand name of headache reliever minus the An****
ni + word for a rougue gentleman and then make it plural for the last one
*rogue.... i am getting sleepy too!
lst wa4/9: w instead of c in lst ca 2nd wa 5/20: plural of above 3rd wa 4/9: word for clumps of gum or a lot of something (slang) 4th wa 4/8: Loudon Wa**wright III 5th wa 5/18: add s to above 6th wa 5/18: part of body where belt goes 7th wa 4/8: I can't wa** to open presents on my b-day 8th wa 4/9: wave your magic wa** & make my wishes come true! 9th & last wa 4/8: I wa** it, I've got to have it!
lol @ kls ... thats not good! (u being sleepy i mean)
well it is 20 to 12 and i have had a 12 hour work day (with about 2 and a half hours of travel time added on...)
you doing ok harpjane?
blech! thats worse than my day for sure
thank you weegee.... you have been a great help.
weegee those clues are great ... . yeah harpjane where are you? LOL
so i think it is bed time.... unless i might be able to help at all... return the favour?
kls, it's all about the fun of helping others finished after doing so oneself... clues are easy when you're done! Have a good day tomorrow
kls have a great night, u've been a great help, get some sleep! toodles!
thanks weegee..... goodnight everyone! i can see how this can be addictive! I will be back!
g-night kls... you might want to check out a2zwordfinder.com for a peek at some word lists :)
OK, since I should have been a reading teacher, don't forget to click the ? box next to words that irritated the p**p out of you trying to find them... chances are they'll pop up again soon! (Like the dw... "to pine away" indeed!)
au words? any clues out there?
au words use the 6 point letter...2nd is plural... last 3 letters of a t word for poison
au: Any of several plant hormones that regulate various functions, including cell elongation
au's kind of sound like oxen .... hope thats an okay clue :)
i found all my words, now what? LOL does anyone need help? I'll try! :)
talk - good clue!
thanx! :)
Timer for oven just went off so I'm going to serve dinner. Have fun everyone & goodnight from Kentucky
g'night weegee
Got em all! Thanks. I don't have to bother to change my icon for tomorrow. Off to the dreaded sudoku.
talk -- just got back! YAY TALK24! good night weegee, sorry I missed you!
lol Stid, i was fallings asleep earlier.. just sitting here watching tv so figured i'd keep at it. congrats harpjane :)
in 6/33 anyone? :)
just got back. Hey talk congrats! That's great, you finished and it's only your 4th day! I need two more, ni 6/24 and un 6/24 What is it about 6/24 that gets me stumped?
YAY harpjane!
in 6/33 is just like en 6/33, related to wi 4/9
un 6/14 is a weird word: un + "to eat"
ni 6/24 is plural of ni 5
thanks zas :)
oh duh. Thx Stidmama!
I want "unwax" to be a word 8) hey Talk24, still there? Double fireworks for you
Ooh,it's a baby!
hi, artlady? Baby? where?
70 some words is pretty tiny for Babble. Right now I have to finish the Sudoku...numbers then words!

YAY NowherePixie!
hey zas! was distracted with a phone call thank you. I never would've finished without everyone's awesome clues
Hooray for Pixie. She's now "somewhere" Pixie
i'm not sure. i don't know how to tell the first 2 letters and the numbler of letters in each wors.
i was hungup on unwax too! haha un6/24? un+to eat ... you go out to a restaurant to ****
i have most of the actual common word onesl
Hi Talk24. I think of you as my buddy. You joined the day after I did. I just finished, my first one, and definitely couldn't have without everybody's help
Hi all. I need help w/the un 6/24. ANYONE???
mag -- go to lickety's babble clues and use the list, that should help... or babblers anonamous and go under general for the list :)
magzel, have you looked at the clues on either Lickety's Clue page or Babblers Anonymous? they are linked to at the bottom of the "Friends of Babble" to the right of this page. that would give you some help to know what to ask for...
un 6/24 ... un + you go out to a 50's ***** minus the last letter
i'll check it out. thank you.
magzel, one of the d's is d+ on your birthday you get ****d and dined
zas, thats awesome! :) this was a much smaller puzzle and i never heard of half of the words, but hey, i finished lol
another d is two of the first "a" word
one of the d's is "from dusk til ****" and the plural of it is another
Yeah Talk24. If it had been one of those 180 word things there's no way I would've finished
Thanx talk24hr. I've been looking and looking for that one.
the da 5/12 is a man's name + the last two letters of the things u play with am/fm music
So how's it going magzel?
another rhymes with the first name of the host on deal or no deal ____ mandel
any luck magzel?
Hey all - I'm back for the last 25 words. Just finishing the "i" words.
the di 5/20 is di+ the way your face looks when you're feeling down.
hey faerie... do u need any clues? i'm around for a few more than going to grab food
Talk24 I could use help with the io's. Please and thank you :)
Hey faerie you must be a really organized person. Me, I can't seem to do it one letter at a time. I'm jumping around all over the place. It definitely drives my family crazy
io 5/14 io+ the two things u roll during a game minus the last letter
Faerie the io 5/12 is like what you use when you get a cut, to keep it from getting infected, minus the last letter
Zas-I can't keep up with it if I don't. I do start out with running around getting all the words that just jump right out though.
zas, perfect, we each picked the opposite io's lol good teamwork
yeah Talk24, I noticed that. That was cool
Thanks - I got those 2 now. How about the in 6/33?
in 6/33 in+ what blows
in 6/33 is just like the en 6/33, related to the wi 4/9
No kidding that was excellent teamwork.... *clapping wildly..for Talk and Zas*
Hah. Talk24's clue is way way better than mine
thanks.
Didn't I tell you all she's my buddy?
lmfao @ u guys
hi again faeriekae! how's the weather this evening? any more of that pesky white stuff?
I can see that pretty clearly *smiles* (*^_^*)
talk and zas -- obviously you have things well in hand here -- shall I duck out, or just lurk in case you want backup? I have a little time left.
Stid-No - we got like an inch of the "s" word and then it started to melt. We go still have a little left on the ground though. It dropped back down to 35 degrees. Yuck.:(
Hey Stidmama, remember you gave me my last two clues. I wouldn't have finished without you!
hey stid lol i'm just killing time before bed... though my tummy is growling and i might go get food.... i'm looking at that iron sodoku. ever play it?
Sorry - can hardly type I've been moving furniture today and I can't reach my keyboard.
Hi guys, I'm 10 words away, so can anyone help with aw5/18 and aw 4/10? Or in5/20? Thanks
I will aw*** your arrival...
Hey faerie where do you live? A cousin of mine just moved to Ohio. She comes from the tropics, never been anywhere cooler than 70 degrees. Talk about shock. I'm sending her an electric blanket 8)
oh, that's just too cold for April. i'm sorry the beach umbrella spell didn't work :-)
Oi, Awesome, Fairie! And so obvious NOW
aw +1st vowel + 3rd vowel + cross
in 5/20 in+ the opposite of up minus the last letter
in 5/20: in + stock market average
faerie awesome clue :) i'll remember that
your welcome
Thanks, Stidmama, that clicked!
I'm in Michigan.... :(
hi talk -- i looked at the iron sudoku, but i'm not much of a fan of those kinds of puzzles... my Tom plays it though and enjoys it.
i get frustrated with it easily b/c i'll think i'm doing great them WHAM out of nowhere it's all a mess
Oooh, I applied to U of Mich, but decided not to go because my brain just freezes when I'm anywhere below 50 degs
yes, that's how I often feel with sudoku. I play once in a while, but only when I am stuck with no word puzzles. gotta check on laundry... BRB1
Oooh I loooove Sudoku. If you need help with strategy, I'm much better at that than babble
zas, is there a way on there for clues like here? prob not right? i see the chat though . maybe i'll give it a try later
Zas-It is no fun. I hate it here. I may actually move down to Kentucky. My family is there. I'm from there and it is a beautiful state. Never know. I can't take much more cold weather.
faerie ... at least u didn't get the white stuff they're getting in tenn. they're having major issues right now with hail thats golfball size and tornados, but yeah, likewise, i hate the s*** word
Hey all, I'm back... how is everyone doing this evening?
Talk24. with Sudoku the first thing I do is look for the number that appears most often. Then I go to each 3x3 square, figure out which row and column that number can't possibly go into and "pencil in" that number in each of the possible squares. To "pencil in" a number, select it while pressing the "shift" key.
thanks for pointing out lickety's babble clues. that was very helpful.dw
talk - your are right about that. The hail will distroy everything in its path as well as a tornado will. I talk to my family today and they had a few storm come through but not like in Tenneessee.
We are having thunderstorms... on the way home, it looked like it was snowing when the winds were blowing the petals of the blossoms off the trees!
{{{Jea}}} Hi..
I was without internet all morning... total bummer...
hi Jera -- our teen wants me to watch some Harry Potter with him -- a rare opportunity, so I will do this. later, all! (((hugs)))
zas thats kinda how i'm doing it, only i do where it can go and pencil it in... sorta same idea
stid- enjoy! g'night
Later Stid
yeah, that's what I meant except I didn't say it very well. I do that with every number before I do any guessing. Make sure to press the "save as checkpoint" very very often. Oh yeah, they do have a little strategy place on the site. I remember reading it.
Bye, Stid, and I'll think of you as your icon! I'm 6 away, folks...anyone have a hint for dw 5/20? Either ry? the wi 4,8 and 4,10? Please...thunder looms! Txs
dw5/20= d+ alcoholic drink
how about "in" 4/4...*blushing*
Bye Stid. Enjoy... Gotta go shop for groceries. Bye all, have fun. Talk24 maybe I'll see you at Sudoku tomorrow, and here too of course. Ciao
in4/4 hmm in+3rd vowel+first vowel
later zas, have a good night
in 4/4 I have no idea what it means. Never heard of it before. But it's like the most densely populated country, minus its middle letter
dw - a beverage severed at dinner or after dinner that starts with a "d"
OMG - starts with a "w"
Thanks, Talk, I got the dw...
ry's .. think of the skin of i think a canteloupe or something and replace the vowel with the y and then make it plural. does that make sense?
hey everyone i'm back!
dw + 3rd vowel + n + 2nd vowel
Hi hardcore
Zas - thanks got it.
Talk--thanks I got the ry's!!! Woo Hoo! I've got 71 words!
the wi 4/8 ... the alcoholic drink is one of them.. the other is you don't want to lose, you want to *** and make it plural
Well, my daughter wants some puter time & since I'm done I can't really argue with her... later, all!
Bye, Jera!
wi 4/10 opposite of losing plus the sometimes vowel.
Are there 2 dw words? My list only has 1???
Later Jera
just one faerie
only 1 dw
ok thanks.
c'mon Book, u can do it! :) I finished my first one today lol
*runs and jumps and splashes in a great big giant puddle* evenin babblers!!
Hi Evan :) Good to see you this evening.
wassup :)
Thanks for the help. It's the very last wi 4/8 I need--not the beverage or the way my kids sound sometimes...
home alone tonight since the BF is out...heh... pizza for me!! :D
hey evanadine!
Yeah for Pizza
oh oops.... okay lets see... wi + first two letters of the red sign at street corners that you halt at
i dont get pizza often since dave doesnt eat it...
the sec. ai hint?
pizza sounds great, i'm starving
Too bad for Dave - Pizza is wonderful with wi 4/8 *grin*
Ahh I see. Last one, all, The do 5,20 (not the opp of ups, and not the one with the alcoholic beverage in it...
alas, theres no low-fat pizza that he can eat... but we are both fans of the Wi beverage!
The second ai is a disease you don't want to get...
book -- DO is a brand of fabric-softener
help please on the iw 4/8 -- can't believe I can't find it! Thanks
BOOK- do 5/20 .... rhymes with the first name of the host of Deal Or No Deal _____ Mandel (comedian)
sorry i mean the frest ai
evanadine...got that one, I'm looking for the do5/20 that comes first...
ch -- its how elmer fudd would say the center part of your eye. :)
thanks evanadine - perfect clue!
iw for CH ... "I **** I may I **** I might..." minus the last letter of the word ... I dunno what else to say
book -- same 1st 3 letters, then 2 vowels
Evanadine--finally got it, just before googling deal or no deal--Thanks!
hehe...YW!
lol sorry Book, sometimes my brain thinks weird for the clues, .... so are you all done???
still 22 words to go here...
i need some help!! any hints

With major help on the last 10 words, I've done it!!! Thanks, all. Now, can I return the favor...? -Book
CONGRATULATIONS BOOK!!!!
ANY WORDS!!!! any gooooooooood hints???
i'v got 19 words to go :)
congrats Book! YAY! :)
missing one of my 6-letter words, any help? au di en in ni u n un
en un in all + a thing that blows
OK, general hint: Three do words are related to the opposite of up...do4/9, 5/20, 5/24
au uses the 6pt letter ... sounds like oxen and then is plural
Evening, all. This is my final attempt at my last eight words. May I throw out my wish list? wa 4/9, un 6/36 in 6/33 ca 4/5 and ca 4/6 Help will be deeply appreciated!!!
Hi Inge :)
inge-- un 6/36 un+the thing that blows
hi inge

Hi EB & Mab.
Hi Smith.:-)
(((***Jac***))) -- how you doing, lady?
yw smith...glad to help even if you are already helped...lol
Hi Wolfie! I'm feeling poor right now. Also not happy in other ways.
Hi you all. A short and not so sweet grid today. Tried my second sudoku today, but logic is just not my bag. It's pathetic.
Okay, now I need help with the last i on the grid. I've been racking my brains!
However, Wolfie, the news on the new wolflet is good. He's sleeping through now! That's great news!
mab - it was a tricky sudoku today...I had to start over and made a WAG before I finished it... {{{{{{{{{Jacs}}}}}} }}}}}}}}
Heya mab1 Still working on the su doku .. Heya jac!
Hi mab! I am finding that myself -- still have 23 to go and slowing down :\
io5/12: what you put on a cut, less a vowel at the end.
Thanks again, mab!
I have always been starting the sudoku when I don't have the time or energy to properly focus -- I am wondering if a higher power isn't trying to tell me that one online obsession is enough :D
I'm not giving up on sudoku, EB. I shall master it. It is a nice focused thing to do, blotting out extraneous thoughts. And, of course, it's good for the brain. I have learned from hurshy that guessing is not necessary, so I never do that. I can see immediately that my problem is the inability to reason it out.
mab - I don't usually 'guess', but this one had me stumped...I had a gut feeling that I was going the right way, but couldn't quite figure it out.... kudos to you for giving it another try...I like sudokus...!!
Hi torgone and woulf. Sorry to hear your not feeling your best, Jac.
What is your method on sudoku, Torgone?
FINISHED!!!!
woo hoo god!!
I am down to one d5 word. I have three da5's, three do5's and one dw5. Can anyone tell me which one I'm missing? I'm trying not to have to use the list and it's my last word!

rycaut- often referred to with thiamin....
Woulf, how you doin'?

oops, Minski, you're still here - forgive my premature farewell.
hi mab!!!! ((((MAB)))))) (((((TWINKIE)))))))
What's up tonight GW? Usually you are the one giving me the clues? Did you have to work late?
Minski -- just distracted by all sorts of stuff -- first night on the computer while awake in awhile and so was busy hunting and IMing friends and I have Kirsten here next to me demanding my time so I am a bit off my game tonight :)
Yeah, GW.... you seem like you are in a hurry.... you got a HOT date or somethin?
*BRB* Had to turn the boob box off. Can't stand watching paint dry, uhm, golf.
di4/5? Not the eating one or the sound one.
And Temple. For heaven's sake, this place is hard to keep up with. No nut tonight?

Yeah, where IS nut??????? Nut?????? YOu out there?????
2 left :p
A TV, Freckle!!!! LOL
nut left just before I logged on tonight
:O!!!! Never heard that what
Now I am really leaving. I have a hot date with my pillow as Paigey who has been asleep since 730 will likely be awake before 7am and hubby has to work tomorrow morning so I can't toss her in his general direction and tunnel back under the covers like I usually do on Saturday morning. NIghty-night.
mama - what about Paddington???????
THANKS< EB!!!!! I forgot about HIM!!!!!!!
Di4/5 same as the sound one but different last consonant.
hi temple, gromit...others who've joined!! (i'm drawing pix for tomorrow....)

AHA! Now I understand all the previous references to them. I think I still have a pic from a previous theme. Will have to check out my babble pics folder. BRB.
i need the wi 4/10
Eastern - how do we get them?
wi5/10 describes a bourginon
Arisha - think drink made from grapes - e + end with sometimes vowel.
Congrats to the other finishers!! And now I must leave for a bit, but will be back for the flip -- see you then :) ((**Hugs**))
BUmmer. It appears babble pics folder died when hard drive fizzled. Will have to find new pics.
Bye GW ((HUG)). See you on the flipside.
wi4/10 same as the one above it but different last letter.

gromit - you could send me an email...I could mail the picture to you...(my email is in my bio)
AARGHHH! I'm such a klutz!!! 7 words left to find, just 7, and I erased my list on Lickety's. I now have no idea at all what I need.

but there is an x word
**winks** Thanks Mama, I like it too.
gromit - it's taking a bit to attach...but it should be on it's way soon....
there are two a words with x's in them
Thanks Eastern! I'll be on the lookout.
hi all, back again. mklein -- rather than retype the words into Lickety's page, just tick off in the boxes where you have the word. Then compare the spaces to the list on this page...
Nope.
actually, three a words with x...
hey stid
Hi stid!
hi leighprefect! how's your day going?
gromit... how's wallace?
pretty good stid, yours? anyone can help on the da 5/12?
da 5/12: "book 'em da**" with the third vowel inserted between the last two letters
da is a type of fish
He's peachy. Or should I say cheesy?
my boys just love W&G stuff -- so do we, my fav is the one with the rocket to the moon...
i didn't get the clue itself (too young?), but i guessed and it helped. thanks!
Stid - us too (I have boys as well!). My fav is The Wrong Trousers, but they are all great.
in6/33 help ne one?
my boys are 13 and 11... starting to move on to more mature humor (we let them watch Red Green and some of the Monty Pythons -- carefully screened beforehand); but we still pull out the W&G sometimes on rainy days.
in 6/33: like the en 6 and one of the un 6...; en + wi4
how many words are there?
74 words today Freckle...
Stid - mine are 12 and 7(almost 8). The youngest is a hoot to watch W&G with - he belly laughs out loud.
di6/27 ne one?
first do 5/20?
oh, i remember those days... yes, the older they get, the more restrained, but once in a while we still hear a good guffaw!
do 5/20 is d+ what you say when you hurt yourself.
di 6/27: di + ac4
di6/27 - di + ac4/6
lol..thanks!
Hey Eastern - Thanks for the icon. I feel so stylish in my ruby reds! ((turning from side to side looking at beautiful new shoes))
double post? that's silly...
*grumbles* "indian" sure is a word
*whistle* so, Dorothy, where will you be travelling this time?
Stid - my 12 year old is pretty reserved. I say he's an old soul. Any teenage angst yet?
hurkle, I thought so too the other day, but I guess it's still supposed to be a capitalized adjective... and no caps allowed!
oh gromit... we hit teenage angst when our 13 was 11... thought we were going crazy! LOL at least now we know what we're dealing with and can usually distract or redirect most of it.
okay, I need to go get changed for tomorrow's grid... BRB
thx stid .. .first time here
gromit - glad you like 'em!! : ) hurkle - welcome to Babble!!!!!!!!
leigh - didn't mean to be redunant. I'm slower on the draw than stidmama. **blushing**
thanks... i love these kind of games... wish i was better at them... after a while i just have to guess at the words. I don't know enough of the obscure ones
an5/12 ne one?
okay, all changed -- thought about something pretty and elegant, then my feet started to hurt just thinking about it! LOL so I went with my old favorite... birkenstocks! comfort wins over fashion for me!
leigh - not a great typist either!! that was redundant! (LOL)
an 5/12: the an 4 + third letter
no i meant my thanks happened to be a double post. =) I do it a lot too with my slowness (dial-up still!) so no worries
stid - LOL! You changed (literally). I thought you meant you were changing your icon.
hurkle, these sorts of games get easier with time -- similar words start appearing regularly, you learn the kinds of prefixes and suffixes to look for... (-s, -ed and -ing often show up) and you ask for help... I ask for LOTS of help daily!
da type of fish? still struggling. anything less obscure? i'm no fisherperson.
Do they show us a list when the game is over so we can smack ourselves in the forehead?
actually, no gromit! I changed my icon... into *refresh*...
fig - which da?
i can't even monkeytype in 4/4...this is horrible
someone said...'DA type of fish" ?
Ahhhh! Those birkies look awfully comfy.
i think da 5/20?
hurkle, yes it is possible to view the previous day's list, and to find which of the words you had! to help with today's list, there are two Babblers who have put up pages with info. Lickety's clues is a good one to start with. It give the first two letters of each word in alphabetical order, and the number of letters and total points in the word... check out his page via the "Friends of Babble" links.
in 4/4: in + third vowel + first vowel...
got it.. found the clue ... like what you unclog your sink with but no second consonant, and add in and "I"
comfy...just made me think of my old pink fuzzy slippers....aaaaahhhhhhh!!
I guess he runs some sort of program against the dictionary to generate it in the first place...
fig - ok, try man's name Da* + 3rd vowel +4th vowel
ty stid
10Q. got it.
you got it fig!
yep! that's me... comfy, or sloppy, either one works as long as it doesn't matter how much dirt, paint or dog hair gets on it!
obscure words, anyone. dang! though of all the puzzles i've tried in a week, i'm doing the best on this one. i've acclimated to the wackiness
ry 4 and 5 ne one?
fig - you know you've been playing babble awhile when the 'weird' words are the first ones you find!!!! : )
good for you, fig! yep -- but be warned... acclimation = assimilation "resistance is futile" *evil laugh*
seeking one more "U".. i have don't eat, don't twist, don't be smart...but now i'm stuck.
ry 4: skin of an orange or melon, misspelled ry 5: plural
Freckle - like the peel of an orange (but a different spelling)
freckle - think outer edge of watermelon - ri**, but change vowel to y. then plural
us + "Never Expect Awards"
ry 4 and 5: the peel of a fruit, spelled with an alternate vowel, one is plural of the other.
EasternBlue, I love how bright and pretty your icons look! I think tomorrow I'll play around in my paint program and see if I can do something fun, too. As we said in 4th grade, "Can I copy your idea?"
I'm having a lot of trouble finding dw 5
Freckle - dw - like the string (baling tw____)
dw 5 is string, but starts with a d.
dw 5: a nonsense word i think... think of a type of string, and change out the first letter from t to d... dw***; or d + wi4
stid -*blush* thanks!! feel free to 'steal' ideas....
last U anyone? have 3 of 4.
freckle - or di4 (to eat) add in the w
do5?
fig -- i gave the clue for the us 5... did you get it?
fig - see Stids clue at 11:32
which do 5?
thanks ya'll...i don't scroll fast enough.
any help with the ni words?
47 words a new high :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Freckle - do 5 rhymes with ______ Mandel or duck feathers....
got two, ni 5 and it's plural...
leigh - ni6/21 is a vitamin. it lowers cholesterol
Any of various widely distributed lichens of the genus Usnea, characterized by a gray pendulous thallus oh, silly me for not knowing that...in a past life i should have had a biology degree!!!
i'm sorry. i shouldn't have posted it with the word . my bad ya'll. (humble humble babble tail between legs)
ooh fig, please try to not use the actual word in a post... although we come awfully close, we do try to keep some semblance of challenge!
(((fig))) it's okay, we all do it sometimes...
fig - the pendulous thallus would've been the dead giveaway!!! : )
gromit- no idea. thanks though
great job Freckle!! Keep going you've got some time still.
good for you, freckle (ditto EasternBlue's words) Leigh: ni + ac 4 - d + n
leigh - that's ok. let's try this - ni + 1st vowel + first three letters of another word for the movies - ***ema.
okay, I know i'm tired when I get red shoes and an umbrella mixed up... taking a quick break for chocolate refill, BRB
thanks stid and gromit. i should really know that. my cholesterol is sky high
(stid - refresh - I'm pink fuzzy slippers now...)
Leigh - LOL!
EasternBlue -- perfect! have a nice cup of cocoa to go with them, and a novel -- what genre are you reading these days?
I'm a pharmacist - the chemistry and drug stuff comes in handy here every once and a while.
we seem to be missing the Canadian and British contingents tonight... suppose they all finished early, too.
need un 6/24
un 6/24: uneat your dinner
Eastern - love the slippers!
13 minutes... more cluse anyone?
stid - a good book - the Bookseller of Kabul
why do i keep mis-typing that word? *clues*
BRB - got to tuck in my babies and give goodnight kisses
gromit - see you in a few!!
di 5/20? i thought i saw the clue earlier but...
di 5/20: di + "sad, pale, drawn expression"
fig -- you still there? need any more help?
still here. just 10 words left. three w words. connectoin isn't fast enough to flip to all the hint links, so i just keep wrestling with the grid...aigh! d, c, a, i, w have the common ones. the i second from left next to the "n' is rough.
last wi? *trying to finish 1st puzzle*
i have the thing look through minus the first letter (in 5) but still have one left there.
if you are hoping for something, you might have a wi**ful expression...
do you have the in 4/4?
i need the wa between the wa 4/9 and wa 5/20 too
yeah, i have in 4/4
iw 4/8: iw + "to be" third pers. sing
do you have the io words?
restless baby I think she is ready for the flip...
hi knutmeg! just a few more minutes, little one...
i have all the i's except for one.. 5/20 4/4 6/33 5/14 5/12
I'm back.
damn. last wa 5/20 needed....
stidmama: THANK YOU> how the heck did you know that one. sometimes i just want to go on what i know, but then i can't resist getting the points for the ones with hints.
i monkeytyped it once before, then recognized it today...
wa 5/20: a w** of cash + 3rd person for to be
Leigh add an i to your wa4 below it
wa 5/20: plural wa 4
leigh - wa 5/20 - a wa_ (of gum) + he _ _ (we are)
i have that one
leigh do you mean wi 5/20? or wa 5/18?
