flip -- you-all beat me to it, tonight! speedy fingers!
one handed, too!
my first word was ro 8...
r7/48
mine, too, Stid. :-)
corps --- where? to many r's in this grid. grumble.
mamabear is going to, well flip, when she sees all the re possibilities... will be interested to see lickety's list when I get to it
this is going to be a big one.....
wassup you there?
ar 6 and 7...
st 7/48
388 words? so much for a quick finish... :-)
C 7/48
stid ... i used the re in first column to get the r7/48. You are right. There are many possibilities!
T 7/44
thanks corpsvalue -- I got it! feel i'll need LOTS of help with this one!
yw
omg, there's 87 t words!
Oh Dear! I've just seen the word total....
chic -- I did NOT want to hear that nananananananana......
and 74 r words... lets not mention the 57 c words off of ONE c...
between my tired eyes and the hour and my typo-prone fingers, i am getting a lot just monkey-typing... which is probably not a good sign.
c8/45
s7/44 and s8/60
there's a canadian cap in the puzzle -- for all you MacKenzie brothers fans out there!
okay, definite bad sign -- 101 words in 21 minutes.... knutmeg, how 'bout you?
another c8/45
only 80, but I want to claim a handicap of one hand
r 75
;-P you type better one-handed and distracted than I do with two hands, fully awake. but Liv is so *cute* I guess I'll give you the handicap. when do we get a new pic, btw?
probablythis week, with her being a month old now, I'm gonna need to send a new batch out to the family, so there will be much picture taking. :-) Right now the new pictures I have are too far away to make out the baby if I used them as an icon
i've got stacks of pics like that! or the right size, but blurry. learn to keep only the best, or wind up like me in a room full of boxes waiting to be filed...
Thankfully, they are all digital, so no need for boxes. :-) Just need to make new back up CDs frequently.
oh -- i just remembered! I became babblified exactly one month ago this grid! *happy babbleday to me* mumble mumble
wish they'd had digital pics when our boys were little...
I absolutely love having digital pics. Makes distributing pictures to the out of town family SOOOO easy, which is really good because all of Liv's grandparents live down South.
I noticed your mom's location on her profile -- had to look it up on a map. How bad were they hit last year?
or is jaianniah still here?
A biggie :) Morning dear gang, back later to see if I have the time for this s@cker. First breakfast for the kids.
Dunno if Mum is around. They had damage to their house, roof damage and skirting damage, and they lost two cats. My sisters both live down there, too. One sister lost everything when the roof to her apartment got ripped off, causing major water and mold damage. But I feel lucky because they are all okay.
sprite! good morning! it's a big grid, but so far not too stinky. :-)
Too busy typing- 108 words so far= the worst part of the Hurricane is that it is still going on....and on...and on....and more are coming soon...
oh, I am so sorry -- my father-in-law has been in that area, trying to help put things back together (he's a buyer for big construction projects) and has told us how hard it is to see -- I can't even imagine what you and they must have felt like. Thank Goodness they are still with us! As my grandmother used to say, the rest can be replaced or done without.
jaianniah -- sorry about your feline companions, and your other daughter's loss of belongings. I know your house can be repaired (a tree hit my parents house in a storm this winter and won't be fixed until June) even though it's a hassle. ((hug))
T Y for your concern!!!! It is VERY much appreciated....still dealing with PTSD about that storm and Rita- I didn't leave for Rita and should have, with a hole inthe roof- the ceiling caved in.....
{{{bigger hug}}} i have ptsd :-( other causes, but long term and I know what it's like. may you be well and feel safe again soon.
oh dear! 37 RE words!!
PTSD from too much family "loving" to put it in our language- on top of everything else.....
mrp, that is NOT the worst of it! LOL 388 words is...
Hi mrp! how goes it?

Hello Chic, stid, knut, sprite, corpse et al! Doing very nicely... just finished the 7 hour car trip home!

Thanks MrP! I'm going to give this grid until 7am and then give up for a while!

and I almost caught up with you! 143 words... G'night! ((STIDMAMA))
stidmama... I had 2 young kids to wrangle, a dog and a poorly tummy! not my best trip!

bye dipp!
Ok going now...'nite all!
nite Chic!
did anyone else lose the connection to Babble last night (UK time) around 10:30pm?
ugh just seen how many words!!looks like I'm gonna be busy again!
I cannot meet my 9.30 am appointment. Because they have blocked the exit of our street. Unannounced. Digged a deep sleeve there. They say it will take at least another 30 minutes before anyone here can leave for work or whatever. Am I crazy that I am mad or are they crazy that they do this???
That's outrageous sprite!
ro 8 /65 - and a bunch of 7's (looks like a whole bunch at there...)
I only have a 6/33 that goes with it so far. Nice ones :) Darn, I am SO mad and frustrated. There is nothing anyone can do, some people are standing there who had to be at work at 9.00 am. It's really, really absurd.
ro/8 75..
(((sprite))) you must be fuming!!! How can they just turn up and do that, it's rediculous.
Fuming is the word :) There's steam coming out of my ears. Well, it cannot be helped and things could be a lot worse, so I better stop complaining ;) Thanks for the sympathy!

Hi sherb, you mean there are more?
had a sneaky look at Lickety's list and, yes, there are more... :)
morin all
Just looked at the stats - why couldn't we have had this giant one over the weekend when we have more time ?
morning ruthy :) ... I'm boggle-eyed already % - (
ann - I'm always asking that question too... Dr G likes to keep us on our toes...
I'll do my best - work permitting. At least I've done the soduko puzzle
a sudoku break sounds like a good idea... the T's have worn me out...
Good morning, all.
I really wanted to play the game this morning,
Good morning, ex-Wren - why not do it on paper for as long as you want to?
To continue: 388 words are far too much, and when I looked at licketie's stats to find about thirty-odd re's that convinced me.
Yes, when I saw there were re's I thought that would be a deterrent for you!
morin all
Good morning, hannah lou - a big grid today!
Babble went down for me again last night but this time the fault wasn't at my end as I was able to access other pages! 2 nights on the run now :-( Did anyone else lose access?
Ginger, I wasn't on last night at all, so I can't comment.
morning Haz and Sprite and everyone else!
Good morning, Ginger - this is a nice grid so far, but no doubt it will be a slog later on.
hello - i see we have another larger grid. guess i'd better get busy!
what is the icon theme today?
we will see, I got the first few words easy enough but still have a loooong way to go! Kids are back to school tomorrow so I will be able to Babble to my hearts delight... in between housework and shopping anyway!!!
Hollybug - great film stars of the past.
theme is great film stars of the past.
this is my first attempt at the 'themes'!!!
I've been very lazy the past few days - I'm trying to make up my mind whether to change today or not. Or maybe I should keep focussed on the grid...
only takes a min Haz LOL
Anyway, taking a break. I'll be back later.
My luck: a big one and now my connection chooses to go haywire again. Hope I can finish today.
Hello, everyone!!!!! This one is gonna take some beating, I expect.....
Guten Tag everyone! This looks like a biggie!
morning amanda, movieman, and anyone lurking :)
My eyes are sooo tired.
I'm not tired. Just my eyes.
have you been up all nite holly or just up early?
lol. I slept for a bit... my husband is on call this week... so I woke up about 2 hours ago to his pager going off... Couldn't get back to sleep.
well, if you like finishing grids then the positive side of being up early is you can get a head start!
morning all... back from sudoku, and this grid hasn't got any smaller...
lol sherb. ain't that the truth.
So just exactly how many are we looking at here? I've got 140 all on my own, with nothing large or out-of-the-ordinary - that's a bit frightening!
388 total words today :(
er... 388, amanda...
Well, that should keep me busy for a while!
there's a Beano character in here... Lord Sn**** :)
Does that poor P get used at all, or is it just a placeholder today?
just one p word. don't have it yet.
amanda - there's one word coming from it, but what it is, I haven't a clue!!!!!
pr 7/32
Dippnall - any definition?
I monkey-typed it - no idea what it is. Someone who is in favor of little pieces of paper?
'The dorsal plate of the pro-thorax in insects'
the dorsal plate of the pr*thorax in insects
Thanx all......
Good morning everyone. Jeepers creepers (not in there are they?) I also got knocked off line last night ginger. It's been happening a lot lately.
190 left to find. Do you think if I pretend that I just began and the grid is a 190 one it will make it easier?
morning eva :)
morning Eva :) ...yes, I'm sure that will work... ;)
hi cliff. Some sun again. But cold. Lit up the woodstove lat night.
good morning! for the pr -- paid athlete + ****bene
morning sherb.
Good morning, Eva - well you could pretend whatever you like but don't you find that the first lot of words come an awful lot faster than the later ones?
You had to go and spoil it Haz! LOL
Some day I'll have to take my sensible hat off!
There goes my delusional system.
eva - it is a whopping 40 degrees already over here, but the sun has not come up over the mountains yet. looks like a gorgeous day today.
don't do that Haz!! ...we need at least one sensible person here... :)
Okay sherb, just for you, I'll stay on 'sensible' duty.
just about the tackle the RE's... I may be gone some time...
slowing down and its all your fault Haz(-:
I'm retarded. why can't I get the Pr...?
holly-its a weird one. The google definition is down below-a bug thing.
I'm getting something that it can't be... Maybe I can't use google. :o)
Hollybug - first three letters meaning 'for' , then add four letters no4/4 - it has the latin vowel ending that goes with the expression NB '**** bene'
pr7= pr+ oppersite of off + last 3 letters qu*** (meaning amount your allowed)
you have to change the ending...to the first vowel
lol. Finally! Thanks so much all! I just kept typing the same wrong word thinking it would somehow maybe be right the next time. :o)
199 words to find, any one had any luck with the 9 & 10?
ishult-french steak and pl.
you mean there exists a french word without a u in it?
Thanks Eva, Could fancy eating one of those about now!!
visualize a big, leather bound menu in a french restaurant and think steak cuts....the beginning is the prefix for between.
mad cow ishult
mad cow wouldn't put me off a nice, juicy steak...
Ah - thanks Eva, got it now.
for all my fellow re haters, there are 35+ today :(
mad cow makes me think of Boston Legal. Anyone know where it has gone?
don't I know it, cliff... found 20 of the devils and slowing down...
morning everyone
hi scatty :)
for the re's-don't be afraid of double vowels
does anyone have the et7?
Hi sherb, how are you getting on, there are alot of longgggggggg words out there today, scarry
eva are you after the 8
that must be it scatty-just remember someone saying there was a long et and I can't see it at all, at all.
the et8 is all on the top two lines, starting on the right hand side of grid and finishing on left, the third letter is under the k
then to the left of the k
what a wonderful find scatty!!! Thanks.
News Flash********* in notching up 3000 points mark (so far) today, I just past the 250,000 point total mark !!!!!!!!
I never would have seen that on my own. Just too neat and unllikely to have it there and all on 2 lines.
not bad at all, i only have a little 621, i have a long way to go
et7 = and so forth
it sort of jumped out at me, wasn't looking for it
kate - it's actually an et8......
161 left to find and getting tired, but that first long run was a lot of fun...like sledding down a nice long hill.
Hi moviemum
spelling bad as ever, sorry
sorry--mistyped--et8= and so forth
RE's done... time for lunch... later all :)
scatty - that's moviemum as opposed to music man.....LOL
have to take a body break. See you all later. Hope the site doesn't get wonky again today!
ok since when is yankee not a word?
since the same time stetson and coker ceased to be words....
8(
what NO TRON?
Nope, forget it, Student. And for future reference - droid and goth aren't accepted either ... :)
why won't it accept YANKEE?
my guess is that it's considered a proper noun
Has anyone managed to locate the 9 & 10 yet? If so, clue me up plz.....
steak a la francaise
that's for the 9 & 10, movieman
Thanx, amanda...... I was beginning to wonder what you were on about....
I do that myself quite often, MM
how many words does everyone have? 82 here
Got the 9 & 10 using an English-French dictionary.....
itrytoohard - 201 here.....
74 im getting killed
Hey Capone How are you guys doing?
Hi folks. 227 words found here.
hey americans are behind in words can you all help? we need to catch up!
..make that 229 words.
I've got 271, itry - if it makes you feel better
Hey gang!! I've got 55wrds. woot!!!
Morning Faerie!
Jacula who is your icon. Looks famaliar.
Hi Amanda :) Hi Movieman not Moviemum *teehee*
Has anyone got any other k's apart from these three: 1) Superman's alter-ego.... 2) the breed of Irish dairy cattle....& 3) to be really interested in doing something...... Many thanx.....
{{{{Shorty}}}}
Hi Faerie. It's Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Hiya, faerie..... So, who have you chosen for today's theme, then....?
MM - there's the thing on your leg...
OMG - I can't believe it I didn't know that I just looked at that icon last night LOL Maybe thats why it looks famaliar.
Gilda Radner is my icon. I just loved her.
norse???
Does anyone know Gilda Radner or am I way off here???
I suppose everyone recognises my icon.....
Movieman. Hi. I've got another k4. Short word for a type of parrot.
... and another k: "A sculpture representing a standing young woman clothed in long robes, especially one produced in Greece before the fifth century B.C."
MM-ummmm the one armed man???? Who is it?
I LOVE Gilda
Faerie - Not heard of Gilda, no. I'll bet that's who the old glamour puss who lived by my childhood home was named after.LOL.
MM - I don't recognise your icon, but maybe just because of the size. Gilda was great!
faerie - it's Kirk Douglas as Spartacus.....
Good morning. Here I am hazzy-brained again. I hate getting stuck on short words. Does anyone have the first TR 5/10?
Amanda - I actully contribute to the Gilda Radner Overan Cancer Research.
is that the same as Gilda's club?
MM-um, *looks stupid* I knew that. Duh. I see it now.
Merk - the first tr5/10 I've got is what you get on Halloween - don't know if it's actually the first on the list as I haven't yet given in to the temptation
abe - yes it is.
faerie I reconize your icon !!!!!!!!!!
It would help if I could spell correctly the is the Gilda Radner Ovarian Cancer Research.
Good for you Faerie! Of all the SNL tragedies, I find hers was the saddest
That's it! When I'm sleepy upon first getting up, I should never come here. I can't function well enough to make the twists and turns. Thank goodness I'm not driving!
Shorty - of course you do. we are both loony "you/me" so yeah.....Barbara WaaWaa
LOL Merk - don't crash in your desk chair..
thats what I was gonna say!!!
I know Amanda she was such a good woman what a loss.
Told ya Shorty - we "you/me" both have warpped minds.
I Know!
k 5 - Name of Democratic candidate
K 4 -- what you get down on to propose
Arb - I have that one (it's also a breed of Irish dairy cattle).....
Some days I lothe the fact I woke up and this my friends is gonna be one of those days. Whats the theme today? Actors/Actresses?
k4 - a knot in bark.
capone - it's actors/ actresses from the past.....
ke -- phonetic spelling of the capital of Ecuador
great film stars of the past Capone and How are you doing?
k4 that sounds like an apple centre.
awwww {{Capone}} you go back home and get some rest or go ride your bike or something. To heck with work.
About as good as I can be doing I guess. Past meaning the ones taking a dirt nap right?
thats good and how is TSM?
Shorty - You have mail.
Ok
Not really Capone, they can be dead or alive.....
Capone - what kind of bike do you have?
No actually its pretty <beep>y
I don't have a bike, well except a mountain bike, but I don't feel like riding it.
Your ankles??? I thought you had a Harley for some reason..
No, not into motorcylces. Ankles are kosher, its the rest of my body that feels like it was caught up in an avalanche.
faerie that was freaking Hilarious! 2 of them was very sad :)
Good morning. Another biggie I see
Capone you have to start taking care of yourself. Like maybe you really should go home and get some rest. Or just come on up to Michigan and I'll let you mow my lawn. I never did do that yesterday. Was too cold.
goodmornin MM whos your icon
Shorty *teehee* thought you might like that.
{{{MusicMom}}}
Hiya, the other MM.... Yep, although I've now been playing for three hours or so, and I'm down to 170 words.....
Faere, Gilda R. lived in Detroit. There is a building named after her I think.
Hey Inge - My lily of the valley have buds. I'm soooo excited!
Inge - I believe you are right about that. Next time I get down that way I'll try to check it out. Remember I'm up by Midland? And you are couple hrs South of me.
Good morning everyone. I am starting this but don't know if I will finish mm. My icon is Vivienne Leigh.
Morning all! just up and getting started. Any other Harley riders out there? Have to ride today. Gorgeous here in the Land of Oz. GA
Nah Faerie, I've mowed enough grass for one week. New Icon is up. And awaaaaaay we go!
Music- My lilies of the valley have just poked through the earth and should be opening up soon. But my Magnolia is bursting into bloom as we speak. It is beautiful. The first year it has bloomed. And my tulips are blooming. Yeah
Who have you chosen then, capone?
OMG-Its Capone LOL
Good, Faere, I will ask around so I can point you in the right direction. MM Even our lillies are peeking out now, getting our dead wood removed from our 1 1/2 acres. Anyone want some firewood???
Yeah, Capone - who is it? Some guy in a plane (?) but it's not Jimmy Stewart...
Faerie - that sounds beautiful. I got echinacea and blackeyed susans from my mother in law's beds on Saturday. i put them in the ground on Sunday. This place is starting to look like a home.
Taking a break at 242 words. BBL. Happy Babbling!
bye jac.
Later, Jac....
Geezuz! Its Jakie Gleason from a Honeymooners promo shot. Ralph Kramden in his bus.
Music - great. You must be very happy. There is nothing like working in your own garden. I simply love just going out and pulling weeds. Sounds sick but I do enjoy it. You are finally making your house/you home :)
Ok, ok - so it wasn't a plane. Now I recognize the "away we go" - I knew it came from somewhere, but couldn't quite place it
LOL - loved Jackie Gleason. good choice Capone
Bye Jac :)
A c word is what they call cows in Scotland, pl.
Good Faerie, get your ass down here and get these wild onions out of my yard.
Well I'm not much of a gardner faerie - prefer sitting at my sewing machine. But, I have been told these are hardy perennials that even I will be able to keep alive.
Capone - LOL - wild onions are terrible. I hate them stinkin' things. Spray them with "round up" that will get rid of them
but which c word, rumpel?
LOL my girls pull wild onions for fun. Want them for a week Capone?
Music - you will do just fine and once you get started gardening you will enjoy it. I love cutting flowers to bring in for me to enjoy inside. Black Eyed Susans and Dasies are great for that.
I gagged for 2 hours after mowing them down the other day. Not even grining up oranges and grapefruit that had fallen off my trees helped kill that smell.
Wow, this is another nig game today, huh?
No thanks on the kids MMom.
Capone they are terrible. My brother in law lives in Orlando and had his entire lawn removed and had new sod brought in because of wild onions about 3yrs ago. So I know what your talking about. He tried eveything to get rid of them and then decided the entire lawn had to go.
I meant big not nig! :)
I don't care enough about my lawn to goto that extreme. Was out of roundup but plan on buying more.
LOL Shutterbug - kind of thought that.
Round up is my lawns best friend now. I use it all the time. Especially around my fence. I hate to weedwhip.
But Capone - you don't know how much fun it is to have those wild onions spread all over your porch and walkway. They are good - they pull them out - even the bulbs.
I'm hitting a brick wall at 282. Anybody got any 8's to trade? I've got 2c's, 1 e, 2 r's 3 s's...
Sorry Amanda - Don't have them yet.
co,4 amandacath
I love to whack my weeds. Um, never mind. Yea MMom, but seeing as how I have problems keeping kids out of my yard now (stealing fruit) why would I openly invite more in? At least with my own I could teach them to bark/bite/kill like a dog.
rumple - is it the same as what doves do?
I've got ro8/65 to trade.
not sure what u mean by tarading but do u have the 'r' thats used in chess yet?
Well, I can assure you mine wouldn't steal. They wouldn't want to pay the consequences at home.
Yep.
Got that one already - and there's an 8/75 that goes with it
or the 'k' thats at the center of the earth?
Shew I think I will hate to words as much as re words after today.
Don't have the chess one. But ro8/75 is a ****** for your pocket + 2nd vowel + r
rumple - that's an ro8/65.....
the chess one is an ro4, unless I'm mistaken
LOL, I'm sure your kids are fine MMom. Owning a home on a corner lot is really a lot more trouble than its worth. And what makes it even worse is that a lot of the riff raff that lives a few miles down the road, cuts through my neighborhood to go to the grocery store. It was so bad with the fruit and pecan thieves a few years ago, I had to put no trespassing signs up on my fence...in vietnamese! It actually took me pulling my gun out on one of the guys to make him understand that my fence is up and locked for a reason. Guy had a bag full of pecans and I found out he had been jumping over the fence to get into the yard.
Oh and before I get the speech, the gun wasn't loaded.
Sheesh. Sounds like a great neighborhood. Maybe you should just start a corner pecan market:-))
brb - gotta get the java.
no speech here capone.
LOL. Neighborhood isn't bad, but I don't plan on staying there much longer (7 years this past 4/9). People always bug me wanting to sell my stuff at the corner produce market. I'm almost to the point where I'm ready to cut the trees down.
Capone I live on a corner lot so I know what your talking about. Only the kids just like to cut through my yard but it makes it difficult with a chain link fence.
So why don't you let them, Capone?
I think my next home will be a condo...and not one that was refurbed from an apartment. I hate yardwork!
My mom got a condo for that very reason. Definitely has it's advantages.
Why would I want someone to make some $$ off of something I could just as easily sell myself? It's not the people from the produce market asking, its some of my neighbors. Besides, I have a list a mile long of people that I give the stuff away to.
Well, as long as it's not going to waste...
Only thing I'd hate about condos is the fact you are still "close" to neighbors. I lived in a small 1 bedroom apartment for 6.5 years and I could hear EVERYTHING they did and I'm sure they enjoyed hearing some of the wonderful things that were going on at my place back when I used to party. At least in my house the only direct neighbor I have to worry about has an 8ft privacy fence separating our properties.
just noticed TSM is in the puzzle, well at least 2/3rds of her is with only 1 part actually counting. 8)
afternoon everyone
Hi Ruthy :)
seconds out... Round 3...
capone, same with me--every time I think about moving from my house to a condo I remind myself of everything you can hear from inside my friend's really nice condo here in Nashville . . .
Hi Une! my brother lives in Nashville!
hey! what part?
Hi Une, Ruthy - other new comers.
best to have older neighbours... they're quieter...
morning, musicmom :)
No idea - Anchor Drive, Anchorage Road, something like that - or maybe not. I can't find his address at the moment
hey my US friends... but what is a condo? I know it's short of condominium but what is it????
That's true Sherb. We're the youngest family on our street.
Hi Une :)
except they do play the TV a little loud sometimes... :)
condo is a way for some bastard landlord to make some extra cake by charging "association fees" in addition to your mortgage or lease.
wow capone... that doesn't sound good!! We have landlords like that too!!
is it like several seperate dwellings in one building so you have to pay joint fees for maintaining it etc?
basically Ginger. A lot of apartment complexes are being renovated and becoming condos for the sake of someone making more money.
after I bought my flat - one of four floors in a Victorian house - we four neighbours got together to buy the freehold of the building... the landlord fought us all the way, but we won... cost me ten per cent on top of the price of the flat, but it was worth it for the independence...
Got 103 so far, time to vacuum, will be back in 30 minutes to do the next 100 +. Bye.
Inge so do I 103 wrds.
bye inge
Later Inge :)
morning all, biggie today, so don't be surprised if i'm quiet :)
Morning Hurshey :)
seize the cat?
Hiya, hursh...... I'm being a bit on the silent side as well, 'cos I'm one of those types who just has to complete every grid........

oh...well that's the usual thing to seize. i thought maybe it was something different. (in our christian fellowship in college they made t-shirts that said carpe deum, which i thought was quite clever)
that is very clever - love it hurshy!
There's a ko that looks like a mispelled word for the center of an apple. The next ko looks like the plural of the previous word by dropping the vowel at the end
104 words and I am getting killed
not, sherb, that i am disparaging DPS in any way - great movie, i agree :) i saw robert sean leonard in person once, in the market.
Then there's a ko which is ko + a common preposition and that is followed by what looks like the plural of that word. And if you think I know what the words mean, you would be wrong. I just monkey typed for 5 minutes
388? Oh well! I'm outa here.....
Need to take a break and prepare for this afternoon's class. Be back later.
ty arb
Later Music :)
harpjane - come on, it's a breeze... really...

ah, so they're en's, are they?
En 9 -- very good steak -- French term I believe En 10 -- the plural
Yikes!
the 9&10 are steak a la francaise
The en9 is French for rib steak..... I should know, I looked it up!!!!!!
between the ribs...

Hi Carra :) Welcome to the madness. Check out Angelsongs Resource page for instrucions and to find a 2 letter word list. Chose Licitys 2 letter list.

you COULD do as musicmom suggests - or you COULD become wildly competitive :)
*lola returns with tea and choccie biccies-- which she offers around-- then takes deep breath and disappears into grid again*
Hurshy - I didn't want to tell her about the addiction or the competitiveness yet. shhhhh

Hi MAMA! - yes it was great!! thx!
Fun grid? Fun? did I hear fun? Should I.... or shouldn't I..... hmmmmmm
back again for round II ... TSM, as a complete nonsequitar, we just saw the movie "Capote" and of course he wrote Breakfast at Tiffany's... but then I read an article about the REAL woman he modeled Holly Go Lightly on -- a beautiful model-friend he called Happy Go Lucky in real life. She bore a resemblance to Audrey, who played her in the movie.
I sure as heck didn't say fun "lovely" lots of pretty letters. *teehee*
This is a really fun one mama. Come on it. I'm trying to be quiet so I can finish before I have to teach. Maybe asking for clues soon.
will think upon it and come back later... must do SOME work I suppose since they are paying me!
Yeah MamaBear - come on in and join us. Lovely grid with so many intresting words today :)
Ok - Later Mamabear :)

Hey TSM how is the easter "bunny" I gave ya?
btw - where is capone? anyone seen him...
You ditz, read the board.
capone was on earlier

Go figure, she asks if anyone has seen me right after I make a comment directed at her, now shes ignoring me again.....see what I have to deal with people? 8p

I missed him so so much. It was great to have him around. Means a lot ya know?
can i get a clue for the AK 5 please x
tSM - that sounds like a "great" easter gift. LOL. I'm sure seeing capone made up for the spider though.
musicmom, sounds wonderful TSM. Bunny was good because bunny left no scary spiders!
So that is what Capone was talking about. Sounds just like him. LOL
She probably threw the spider bunny away.
Good for you, capone -- you just racked up a whole lotta points with all us womenfolk :) How many miles apart do you both live?
That is, racked up the points for going to visit her, NOT for the spider (good thing she thinks you're cute)
I'm from Mars, shes from Uranus...or would that be her head is up heranus? Oh hell, who knows 8/
M3, AK? Sorry, I'm no help :(
MM - Yeah made up for it 100%.... I laughed after the scream though. He is my sweetheart... :) Deutsch - Yeah... spiders *shiver* Glad the bunny was good to ya! ;)

A car crash starts with a W, does it not?
yes it does mab i dunno what that word means
ME for take caution the ? says.
mab turning into yoda?
OH nvm i get it
I'm Ingrid Bergman. I don't know from yoda.
Oh, I think I understand; yoda is a character that has an unusual speech pattern, yes? Ok got it.
yes and i did not get at first that ME was middle english, and i was way confused. :)
what does 4/6 4/23 mean?
4/23??? is that possible? *ponders*
yes, I reread my post and realized it sounded odd.
no, i think no letters are worth more than 5 points.
im just saying what do the number you are typing mean. lol
could I have help on the pr 7? I know what the first four letters have to be ;-)... have tried logical combos, but obviously clueless. :-(
i know carra but you must understand hurshy is an odd duck. it is length/points. the fours are straight points, fives are double, etc.
carra, welcome to babble. If you look at Angelsong's Babble page - link at right - it will tell you everything about babble. PR 4/5 means the word starts with pr, has four letters, and is worth five points.
ok thanks hurshy and mab :)
pr7/32 = plural of "The dorsal plate of the prothorax in insects."
thx torgone :-)
oh my goodness --- stidmama, I looked down my list for the pr and found that I havn't a single p word yet! These large grids make me so nervous for some reason.
You're in luck, mab. There can be only one ..
mab -- there's only one 'p' today... which is why I think I was flummoxed. That was a good clue, torgone, thanks again!
Why, Torgone -- beauty and brains. and insects' thoraxs. thoraces. thoraxi.
gotta love Latin! (not)
Thank goodness.
Hi everyone again The kitchen is clean. I am never allowing food or cooking in there again.
Sounds sensible to me, Deutsch.
Yes, I knew that word from studies entymology...entomylogy . .ynto ..bugs. not.
Good Afternoon, all! Have not been back since 1am (whoa, nearly 12 hours away from babble, how did I survive?) Sorta rested, gonna play for a bit, then onto all those silly responsible adult thingys like laundry and showering and all that...
LOL, mab. HI!
good for you, Deutsch! I am not even looking in the kitchen until I have only 200 words left....
Can I get a clue for the ts 6/18?
hi knutmeg! Glad you left "early" last night *grin* how many did you get to before you folded?
I had an entymologist boyfriend in college. He had lots of jars. Deutsch --- the talking mule from those Donal O'Connor movies - Frances!
i just got that one! ts 6: ts + or 4 which means what metal comes from (a plural)
ylleria, there's a ts? (Mumbles to self... maybe I should start the laundry...)
just one = yiddish for 'trouble.'
thanks, stid Yes, mab, Zebra couldn't make it so her "cousin" is taking over for the day. haha
'Fraid so Deutsch. I have it now but still have no idea what it means. :s
re7/28 and re 7/36 after the smelly Re4?
hi all, I'm back. Ice Age is funny!
Hi amandacath, I'm looking forward to seeing Ice Age!
hey everyone.... just woke up... yes a very late start to my day, thank goodness that it's my day off ... how's the puzzle today?
talk, 388 words today.
Hi talk, puzzle's not bad
Sorry, stid, mum called. I got 183 words before I left last night. Almost halfway, not too shabby for an hour's worth of monkeytyping. My goal right now: finish the co's (40?? I'd almost rather play with the re's... almost)
'morning talk! was just about to take a break, glad I didn't miss you. :-) it's not a bad puzzle, just big. grab a big mug of coffee, a plate of cookies, and settle in...
the re's are killing me
knut -- I hope I didn't make your mom unhappy with my questions last night -- I know how sometimes even innocent things can trigger anxiety (at least they do for me!)
She seems fine today, so no worries, Mum, you around? :-) Especially since she's ahead of me in number of words.
well, just in case, hi jaianniah :-) hope your weather is as sunny and bright as ours is -- I'm off now to check the laundry and head outside to weed whack (the old-fashioned way, with sickle and scythe)
eek, 388? ? ? ? I dunno how you all are so patient (or just that good) to finish in less than 24 hours lol i'd be here all night haha
okay, LOL, I just monkeytyped a *VERY* funny looking co word with all sorts of double letters.
st 6/30 (one of the last 2 I am missing...) I got the one that's health related when you get old.. what about the other one?
st6/30 - one who makes a fire? it's an anagram of the other
got it. thanks amandacath
I am ready to give up! I have searched and monkeyed. I need a clue for TE 5/10, the last one. There are two in a row; one is a fish and I have that. It's the other 5/10 I need. Please help!
re7/28 and re 7/36 after the smelly Re4?
Oh, I tink I had it but put it in the wrong place. It's a plural of an earlier word. Sorry to bother you all.
plural of the te4/4 before it
I'm pretty sure this isn't what you're looking for Merk, but my last te5/10 right now is plural exam.
Hi Angel! Sometimes we re7/28 words over and over but they still won't be accepted!
Angelsong: if you leave a building and then decide to go back in..............
I've got one stupid re left - the 5/10 after french pensions. Anybody?
Woop de doo. Half done ..
hi torgone! oh sure, lord it over the rest of us
can i have that half? while you work on the second half?
Yay! I survived the co's! And I now have over 200 words.
Good evening/afternoon all.
okay can i scream? I didn't ignore anyone if ya'll wrote back to me before, my comp froze and it took forever to reboot! Ugh, I need to buy a new desktop. Blah. Sorry, done venting. :-P
Hi haz!
hi haz! hi talk! yay knutmeg!!!
need an re5 before or after the re5 that's sprinted again...
Hi Haz!
I'm feeling frustrated thanks to one daughter hogging the computer all afternoon and the other needing left to the airport. And all on a day with a huge grid! Back to work....
Yay Angel - that was the one i needed! You're looking for "put again", I think
Sure, smaller. My half is your half ..
hi Haz! Talk- you need a chocolate cookie. :-( And a trusty mallet with which to beat your computer about the ears...
I have a headache and I need chocolate cake.... bad!
Cookies!? Where?
knutmeg, sounds about right! Though I don't think it'll matter, I don't think I have the patience to make it to 388. It's too nice outside today.
thanks, torgone! am i being too greedy when i ask if you've done the more difficult half first?
*offers TSM and talk and anyone else some Girl Scout cookies* Here.. have a nummy frozen Thin Mint
thanks Knutmeg :) at this rate I'm liable to eat a whole box though haha
HELP!! on the pr7, how do you pluralize the dorsal insecty thing? i've tried ae and ea.
can anyone give me a clue for the ak's?
*gives talk a whole sleeve of cookies* I still have 4 boxes left... plenty to go around
mmmmm! nummy, knutmeg!!!
smaller - no "e"
torgone, try feminizing the pr
well...that would make 7 instead of 9, huh? oospy. thanks torgone! montana math no so good
...sorry, not torgone, that was meant for smaller
now i just have to go get the milk.... i'm only on 45 without the list, blah, LONG way to go
wait i lied, 50
ask for more clues, ask for more clues, how will i finish if people do not ask for clues? :) :)
Use the list.
oh haz, you party pooper
ak 4/8 and 5/18, anyone? I've been trying to get these for ages, but I just can't see them.
re7/44?
thank you ylleria! a + homonym of unlocker, a + homonym of sharp/nifty
now that's a real friend.
What Brits call a budgie, we call a par _ _ _ _ t.
ak 4/8 sounds like a+ lock and ***
ah, had that angel, but nice try - build up the fire again
ak5- ak4 with a single humped letter between the vowels
thanks, everyone. Those were driving me nuts. :)
re 7/44 = what you might do when the fire begins to die down...
torgone-- ending for p word is first vowel
Thanks to all the people giving me clues (?) but I have that word .. Thanks ..
71 with no clues or the list... i'll bbl tonight, good luck everyone :)
ST 6/30 I have what you do to make your cat purr. I need the other one at the end of the list please.
me too, Merk - I just can't puzzle that one out...
Clue for the first ar 6/18? I have the one that the 7/28 is based on.
st 6/30 person who builds up fire ylleria loves me!
thats me finished hooray
ar 6/18 is the plural of the word before it
Thanks, ARB! I did think of that but couldn't see where it would be. Doh!
Yay sha!!
which resembles french for stop!
there's another one besides that, Hurshy - 4 in all. I've got: the fire guy the sounds-like-naked-running-guy what you do to your cat (hopefully) What's missing?
10 points each to ylleria and ARB for the completion of my a's
ah, ty, will look
Hurray for SHA
Wow! sha! *stands back in awe*
Congratulations, Sha!!!!
Thanx Hurshy; I had it, forgot to write it donw. Hi Haz, I had my nose buried and didn't give my greetings. I'm not to the re- words yet but have been hearing struggles. Unfortunately I didn't write down the clues.
hurra for sha!
amanda - st + another name for the castle in chess...or is it the horsey?
Hi, Merk - have to go again!
Hurshy, you're a life-saver! I was beginning to doubt my senses!
doubt senses if on drugs or watching magician, not otherwise
Hurshy, how are you doing? You're making me feel guilty for having resorted to the list.
btw amanda what flavor? can i be pineapple?
Good advice, Hurshy!
47 to go!
Want any hints?
Guilt, as you know, is a Jewish mother thing; however, it is usually instilled in others not in oneself!
ARB, in what form? it's bit early for "guess what hurshy is missing" but... i suppose if you want to play now we can... the c's are my biggest problem.
Whichever you want - one thing I miss from the States is Life-Savers. And Certs - I only remembered about them when I found them in the grid today!
anyone playing "guess what hurshy is missing" - alert me to existence of word, further clue only if i can't find it
do you have the ce which is one square meter -- composed of a penny piece + a common verb
ah, ty ARB, 10 points
It's also a plural. Also remember British spelling for a common word
i know plural, that is why you got 10 points :) (5 per word). have the brit spells.
Yahoo! no more REs...:)
How about royal partner and the plural
yup yup have those
Okay, thats one hour for me. Going to go do stuff around the house (most importantly--eat) and then I'll be back on later. See everyone then!
A bolt pin (+ plural)
yup yup have that too
Something on the beaks of birds ( + plural)
ARB, i dunno what that is, are you gonna make me click on all my ?'s to find out if i have it? :)
archaic word for truly
ARB, perhaps first two letters and length would help
I'm missing the 2nd ce 6/21 - can anyone help with that?
hi all,can somebody just confirm 4 me that there is 388 words today please
that's prob the british spelling one, ylleria
yes, 388 fun-filled words today...growing weary...
indeedy that is true sandr
ce 4/5 membrane on beak ce 5/12 plural ce 4/5 a fish ce 5/12 plural
388 it is, sandr
cheers hursh hows things going
do you have the yiddish word for trouble?
ok then yes ARB i have all those. it's going well thank you sandr yiddish, eh? hmmm
It was the first word I found!
No, I have the british and american spellings, there's another 6/21 I don't have
well then i think that comes after, ylleria - like the mints but with an extra vowel stuck in
i thought yiddish words had like sch in them
Mints? *looks puzzled* I'm in the UK, so there's a good chance we don't have what you're talking about here
ce 6/21 is an archaic word for truly. Think of a synonym for truly that starts with ce .
is this yiddish one a c word too?
not all - but it is a really unusual letter pattern to start
Yhis Yiddish word is a ts word 6/18
no not a c word - sorry were you just workign on the c's?
no no that's great rycaut i need that i just want to know what i'm looking for :)
ro4 following the ro8/75?
got it, 5 points to rycaut
I've got the one that means truly, too
the chess castle ro4
Hurshy, there's also a ce 6/21 which is a chemical compound ce + common chemical ending
5 points ARB
note: people must keep track of own scores in "guess what hurshy is missing"
assuming they want to know their scores
In the list, there is a ce 5/12 followed by two ce 6/21s. I have the 5/12 (the literary work) and one of the 6/21s (the british spelling), but this other 6/21 I just cannot get
co 4/5 in disagreement with a surprising double letter at the end
5 points ylleria! change vowel on end of brit spelling
Thanks, hurshy!
ce 6/21 is like the Brit spelling but with a different vowel at the end -- (It's a plural of a Latin word)
have that arb
bbl -- have an eye appointment this afternoon. Maybe that will help me see these frick** words better! :D
now now, i don't think kate would talk that way
no, she was much saltier than I am! :)
only 4 c's to go, much progress has been made
somebody said there were 40 co's is that true or were they rounding? bc if it is true my last four c's are all co
I assume you have the 3 co words related to a device for holding in the flab
yup yup yup
40 co's is true Hurshy
good to know good to know
oop found one
arb, sometimes 3 are needed
hurshy - an australian onefor you if you have not got it! co w. 2 sets of vowels - means where are you!
still missing one ce 6/21 - this is either the last ce 6/21 or the second last
As I recal you're a math person, so you must have the math term co 5/12
yes i do ARB, but 5 points to lynxxx - can't believe i hadn't got that!
and 10 extra points to lynxx for it made me see my other two - done with C's now!
How about the person who talks baby talk
i need one more S to grey the whole bottom row - and i need one more k - 5 points to the correct guessers!! :)
ce 6/21 = middle ce 6/21 plural of Latin word for middle ce 6/21 British spelling for middle ce 6/21 archaic word for truly ce 6/21 chemical term ce + common chemical ending
evein all
Thanks ARB, it's the last one in that list. Still can't find it though. Grrr.
ha! Got it! :)
ylleria it rhymes with an r word meaning to keep (not in puzzle)
Yippee
oh nvm
puff the magic dragon lived by the Who and frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called hannah lou
I'm taking a break for a while, I think. Thanks for your help everyone.
thank YOU ylleria...
*wipes sweat from borw* whew! i have come up for air with 34 to go...
hello again.
Hursh how you doing?
yo boreetos!
how freaky TO, i have 34 to go as well boreeeeeeeeeeetos
ar 6/18 and 7/28 that i assume is its plural?
this grid seems to be treating you pretty well.
ARB - if you aren't frustrated with the game, i need one K, and one S will grey out my whole bottom row!
ar 6 and 7 -- what a policeman will do
i have the k's hursh
the babble police will ar6 you for not getting that TO (joke joke)
arb - thanks for the ce's! hey boreetos!
ke 5/22 -- former Democratic candidate
well TO you get 5 points in the "guess what hurshy is missing" game if you guess which one i need. just so all know, it is NOT the game to just tell me there are so-and-so many ke's and so-and-so many ko's, etc. you have to guess.
ty hurshy!
have that ARB, voted for him
So did I, but absentee ballot
yea for the blue states!
ke 4 -- mispelled name for capital of Ecuador
hehe
5 points ARB
LOL arb!
Don't laugh -- we were there last month and our friends thought we were in Japan
hi guys! can i have a hint for EN 10/65 please??
ko4/8 and ko5/18 - plural looks like a greek word
oh i was laughing at boreetos not ke4 clue :)
TO i just needed the one k, done with those now.
yo smaller!
i need a couple of N's, one S from bottom and 2 S from left...
HI temple owl! how's life? scribble- sorry don't have that one
en 10/77 is the plural of the en 9/60 preceding it. It's a French word for a steak
scribble dear, i don't think you will have heard of it, but if you take "to go in" and switch the last 2 letters around, then add a co4 which is french for coast, you will have the 9, the 10 is plural
yet again, thanks Arb! great clues!
thanks hursh, i dont know where i got 65, but thats the one i was talking about.
thanks for the en clues, never woulda known
yw scribble
hey firefly! good to see you!!
hey smalls! (can I can you smalls??)
do you have the 3 st words that really are s + the past tense of the opposite of to give
smaller probably doesn't want to be canned
you really are a fire fly. :)
i had one but not the longer ones, 10 points ARB
firefly, totally fine! there's an outbreak of that! 2 other people did that too recently.
ROFLMAO - i meant CALL I'm brain dead from this grid
ba dum bum, boreetos, excellent one
brb - baby is up from nap
what a lovely sight, grey row. one s from left now.
Hurshy -- se 5/14 s version of the Democratic word we talked about
also two o's left
have that ARB, sadly
Finally! I finished it! Gonna go celebrate!
congrats amanda
Hurray amandacath
nice job amanda!! I'm out, I gotta get back to work, I'll see you all in a little while.
oc 5/20 think of a person who works on the wharf and drop the first letter. oc 6/33 - plural
yay amanda! bye boreetos!
10 points ARB!
Hurshy, it's close to 11 p.m., here in the Holyland. Any more help before I call it a day?
ARB, "guess what hurshy is missing" is only to be played as long as one wishes, feel no pressure to stay :)
and shalom. :)
Actually it's fun -- a challenge to figure out how to give a hint without giving it away
yes many people do enjoy the game, while others do not. that is why no one should play unless they like it. :)
Hi there :)
Peace on you all too -- had a few windows shaken yesterday with the blast -- we live about a mile and a half as the crow flies.
SPRITE! heidy ho, are you not done??? or just come to give clues?
ooh, stay safe ARB.
i am 8/9 of the way through the t's!
that's .8 repeating for all you decimal fans out there
se6/18 - first one which is the third se word
I have all the Ks!
me too sprite!!! peaceful, TO
Staying safe is a difficult proposition if you want to lead a relatively normal life. It just means that we must be extra careful and alert .
From here on it will be fun ;)
how many to go, sprite? 23 here.
haven't seen atalante all day
133 here!
how many co 4s are there?
you must have had a busy day, then, sprite!
10 if i can count :)
I have a friend staying here. We talk and talk and talk, and do nice things together, and talk some more ;)
hi sprite! good to see you!
mmm, i like doing that sprite, when my friend joan comes to visit
Hi there T-Owl, same here :) How are you doing?
sprite i think i am getting a little faster - although people did play guess what hurshy is missing some - i have only spent 6.5 hours to get down to 23 left.
i'm well! babble has taken a back seat to life over the past several days!
21 left!
WTG hurshy! And T-Owl, that is GOOD! Life should be more important than babble any time.
hi all, i'm back! we decided to burn some of the brush while the ground was wet and it was dry... took longer than I expected!
Down to 85.
now THAT is speed.
i have a mere 197 words left to find... but since I am not as brilliant as hurshy (grin, chuckle) I will use Lickety's clues... :-) and it will only take me another five hours or so with help!
oh the mocking
There are a couple of endings that give lots of words once you start seeing them :)
*looks around* mocking? not i!
here again - baby's been bottled (but not canned, for those that find that funny) I'm at 185 words sans list...
firefly -- you're brilliant too... (the name gives it away)!
one little s from the left, who can guess it??? unless there is an sr, it must be se or st!
nvm, found it. 5 points for me.
20 left - half of them t's!!
Tssss, strange one, So5/20 (impressive and effective; excellent). Completely new to me. Is it a word you can safely use in common speech or is it very specific?
lol sprite, we dunno, but somebody had a dog by that name
Makes more sense to me in a dog's name than in this meaning, lol.
anyone caring to guess which two n's i'm missing can earn some points... (dangles the carrot)
they are from the fourth row
hey all, my younger kid is on -- Grant, say hi to the nice people!
Got all the Ns, so what do you have, I give you the missing ones :)
aw, yay, hi stidgrant
Hi there Grant!
hello nice people!
yes, hurshy -- do tell which ones you have! *leans forward expectantly*
no no sprite that is not how the game goes. you guess what hurshy is missing, if you guess right you get 5 points a word. it is how i convince myself this is better than using the list.
oh, I know what hurshy is missing -- there was a marble in the garden the other day, and one in my sock drawer last night! Those marbles are everywhere! :-)
marble?
LOL! Okay, probably this one: No6/21. It's what a shop owner will tell you if he has run out of an article, then he has No6 of it. Then drop last letter.
ding ding ding, 5 points to sprite!
see how easy it is sprite?
There is another No6/21 that is a very knowing word. The opposite of what a young pure child is.
oh stidmama not giving clue, stidmama TEASING hurshy tee hee
*tee hee!*
5 more points to sprite, and 1 extra for finishing off my N's!
:D
now only missing E's R's and T's
Hurry up hurshy, I am down to 48 now ;)
16 here
i am sure you will beat me sprite
180 here ..
i got the second clue sprite gave... i think some of the wood smoke lodged in my brain!
Hehehe ;)
3 E 5 R 8 T
Don't forget Ts6/18.
oh i did get that earlier in the course of the game sprite
ts: ts + 4 letter plural word for what metals come from
Good for you! I just hunted for that last T for 5 full minutes, lol. While it is a babble regular.
*blush* sorry -- you weren't asking for a clue...
Thanks all the same, stidmama :)
but sprite you see i have people guessing what i am missing so it is not a fair comparison
trust me you are way better than me
Nope, am not. We are a great team.
sprite, stop being so darn modest. :)
if we were a great team i would be giving you words, at last count i have given you ... let's see... zero
Thank you Sprite, I was missing that one too.
aaah, but that is the great thing about our dear sprite...very clever and even more modest : )
I am pretty sure you have given me clues more than once! And I am not modest. I am great. We both are :)
i could use cluse... trying to go backwards in groups on the list, I am stuck on the first tr 5/10... (and the two following, but if I get that one I might be able to get the others)
Something very tasty?
would that be you hope your daddy brings you home a tr***?
Hey lola! :)
Hey gang! Back for more :)
i tried that ! i swear i did! *headbang*
Hi sprite! You well? : )
((faeriekae)) hope you're having a super day
Yes, doing fine at the moment. As long as I don't overdo it, I am getting better a little every day now. And you?
loly loly, would you like a yummy cannoli
oh sprite injured? sick? what what?
Sprite, were you ill?? : /
It has been a beautiful day here. Mowed my lawn for the first time this year.

I need help with no 5/12, Please
Nah, just sort of burnt out since January and getting back uphill now.
I love the smell of fresh-mown grass -- but it makes me sneeze!

Hurshy for the es 7 just add on the tr that daddy is going to bring home.

aww, sorry to hear that sprite. Take care of yourself *said in mommy voice* : D ooo, thanks hursh! *bites into cannoli carefully so as not to squish out cream filling*
for what? you will get them all without me!
See 3.32 pm for that daddy clue :)
YAY hannah lou!
For your great personality, hurshy, what else!
*hurshy revels in her inferiority complex*
i AM fairly joky today
And still 19 to go, so I am getting nowhere.

do you have AIM sprite?
sorry, had to ask Grant to do something... yes, as soon as i posted that message, i figured out what you meant, sprite -- i really am slow today!
I do. Help. Need two more E words!
No, I don't. Not even MSN. Only ICQ, lol. I am a dinosaur with instant messaging.

oh i used to have ICQ - maybe i will download it again
Dang, I got it finally, thanx, sprite...

sprite are your e's from same box or diff boxes?
ginger - make food
Hi everyone! And help please! I'm down to my last word and I'm going bonkers trying to find it. It's co5/12 (the first one)
plural fish, mac?
Co4/9 someone who makes food tasty. Found my missing Es, hurshy. I was missing a computer command + not off. And plural.
Thanx hurshy, missed that!
that is what i was going to guess, sprite!!! i am missing one from top box and one from second row :(
Oh brother! Pass me THAT fish - I just knew it was going to be a plural :/ Thanks hurshy! :)

yup yup
no stidmama, hurshy would need BIG fish then
stid - it's the plural of the 9

For the real biggies think french name(s) for tasty meat.
en9 means steak in french... if you need more of a clue than that, let me know
hurshy - how many en6/18's do you have?
mac borders on cheating but i will answer: 2
no sorry 3
holy cannoli! a clue for et 8/45 please?
okay - how do you want me to pose questions then?
actually, yes please... *feeling very small indeed* I do know the words that come before and after these two...
usu abbreviated by its first 3 letters TO and coming at the end of a list
you have to guess specifically what word i might be missing :)
Et goes on and on and on...
never mind! : /
like, et 6/18 prefix for a species of seaweed?
oops meant EN not ET
sprite i cannot get it to work. if you want to chat, i fear you must get AIM
stid - take the word for what you do when you go into a room but spell it the British way + co4/5
Or I catch you right here, hurshy :)
well, yes, sprite, but ata and i can help each other get our last words easier when we chat privately and don't have to worry about giving things away to the rest of the gang
mac -- I owe you -- BIG TIME. ty ty ty *sobs with relief*
You're welcome, stid! :) Glad it helped!
i feel like a monthy python gumby -- "my brain hurts!"
True. I will consider it :) Do you have all 3 E words concerning having food?
i am s tuck on re's - between the re4/4 network and the word meaning to quiz again ... : ( missing the two 6/18s

yes indeedy sherb
the er4 which is an archaic 'former'?
oh yes sherb i never miss that one
ea6 - a place for a snack??
got that too mab
Okay, no more guessing. E's: 3x food words. 2x growing outwards. Computer command and 5 words starting with same. 2x meat Something you put in, long periods of time, stiff upright, lovvvvvvve. 2x mistake words ;) At a previous time, organic compound, Es7, Et8.
if you people were playing the odds you would be guessing t words :) not that i care but the math girl in me cannot help pointing this out
ok... the te7/8 which sound like a type of blind (window covering)
90 words lol :)
Only one more S...
Woot! I'm done : )
you mean a doctrine, sherb?
Hooray for lola!
the ta5/18 which sounds like a mis-spelled ta6/30
how many a words are there?
lola gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
*~*~*~*congratulations Lola*~*~*~*
no, a sixteenth century French silver coin...
5 points for the ta
...which, of course, is a plural! Done :) Hurshy: Ta5/18 Japanese verse form in five lines, the first and third composed of five syllables and the rest of seven
congrats lola :D :D :D
16x A
sprite i'm missing one of the 5 that start with en5 then, but i think you left one e out of your list it doesn't make 24 (i may be losing my marbles after all though)
sprite gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
Hurrah Lola!!!!!!! (I love that icon and it makes me nostalgic for earlier babble days)
16.. lol i have 2
the te5/14 which is te4/4-like
Ooo, fireworks! Thanks guys : )
Thanks for the fireworks :) Hurshy, the En5 + vowel?
aww, thanks mab....me too :' )
yeah i have that one sprite, and the combo, and the pl, but not a fifth
Woot! Well done sprite : )
french coin i don't know...hmmm
to5/to6 - people who to8...
Hurshy: someone who En5s.
to8! that is my missing 8!
hurshy... italian silver coin?
the to7/8 are versions of the to5/6 with an extra vowel
ah sprite i looked for that and thought i couldn't make it!
And hurshy, I see which one is missing in my list. But you must have it. *whispers very softly: vulcano?*
lol, i always miss the volcano
ok hang on while i assimilate all these T clues
to4 and to5, one a dessert and the other a legal matter?
Another 5 points for me :)
yes mab that is one of my favorite pair of homonyms in the whole wide world
that is right sprite i forgot to award them!!
don't forget the 5 points for en7
I've got an early start tomorrow....and it's my rota day at toddler's nursery. So, if I want to be nice to 20 odd small people I'd better get some sleep! G'night all : )
there are so many to's i am getting very lost in them
Night lola *hug*
night loly!!!
night, lola!
nite lola... sleep well :D
someone please slap me into sense here
T0 x 32
ok this te7/8 that is a french coin and sounds like a type of blind - all i can think of is venetian blinds so i am not getting it
oh the te's are making me mad! after the te 7/28 that means rock formation and the next 7/28 that means of the earth... i need the next 7/28 please?
thats it for me people prison breaks on soon n my heads gone funny,321 is where ill leave it nite all n cheers for the clues
hey, i'm back, just for a moment. gonna leave in 15 minutes to get the other kid to his trumpet lesson.
type of blind = fe*****, very full, ruched...
T-Owl: anagram of the second one.
night, sandr!
hurshy: *slap!* *slap!*
good night sandr!
bye lola!
nite sandr... :)
at last! 10 points to sherb and an extra 20 for patience :)
thanks again sprite...now if i can just figure out the last ones i am missing.....
ok now on to these to's, a 5/6 which are people who do 8?
it seems funny that people who do would be shorter than what they do, usually it is the other way around
to5/to6 - people who to4/8
Yup, there is no To8.
oh, sherb, you mean carry? i have that. i thought there was a to 8.
but now i see there cannot be for i have got all the 7's and 8's now.
How many are you still missing, hurshy?
i am missing 3 to's then.
no, not carry - that doesn't have 8 points...
3 to's 2 other t's and 3 r's
to4/8, to5/18 and to6/30?
oh sorry sherb. but i do think i have those also. can you add a letter to the 4/8 you mean to get a subway to***?
If you missed the vulcano, you might have missed the vowely To4 babble regular too?
now that one i do not miss sprite :)
yes, and you can add a different letter
i am missing to6/18, 5/10, and 4/4 right after the 6/18 cakes...*pants and inches towards finish line*
a different letter to make the person? because then yes i have all those
5 points to TO but the 6/18 you want is BEFORE cakes
back to the drawing board...
sherb please only play if you are having fun though, ok? :)
and then TO you need civil suits and a rhyme of co4 price
i think :)
there are 2 to6/18 cakes... different last letters...
T-Owl: 6/18 is the other 6/18 with other last letter. 5 is plural to 4/4 4 is bread minus one vowel.
162 words left -- BBL [go hurshy, go!]
yes thanks and i have it now - just have to go through 6 gazillion t's to find the missing one which i believe is - TO!
lol
3 r's, 2 to, 2 other t's 2 4s, 3 5s, 2 6s
to5/10 - alt spelling of cards for telling fortunes?
I am going to hug my pillow. Good luck finishing, hurshy and T-Owl, and all others of course. Night and hugs!
5 points for sherb!
st 7/28 that follows the old-fashioned record player ... please?
nighty nite sprightly sprite
nite sprite... sleep well :)
starts the same as the one you mentioned, ch1212, but ends like a de person who owes money
tr 5/18 after t + boulder...please....8gasp8 must...finish...
TO it rhymes with not pepsi but
first syllable of that word + to4/4 - s
you're nearly there... good luck with the rest... I'm off to bed... :)
i must be missing easy ones :)
TO - art of having no money, change first letter to a b
thank you, thank you, thank you! *collapses*
oh no, does anyone know CPR?
TO, revive so you can help with my last 6 words! (if you want to that is)
I'm with you, TO .. still working on hurshy's clue, so will ask for a clue for the na 6/18?
like not a maid but a ma**** but change m to n, ch1212
ch: did u get that st7/28?
ask away- hurshy!
no, TO .. with 12 left to go, the brain cells are fading fast :)
well TO i am not using the list so you kinda have to guess which words i would be likely to miss :/ but i know there is one more TO, and 2 other t's, and 3 r's. 2 4 letter words, 2 5's and 2 6's.
t-owl - are you finished?
thanks, hurshy, I got the na from that. Still plugging away on the st and the no 6/21 that follows the plural of midday.
yep! hi ren! CH: use the first syllable ofold fashined record player clue and add the to4/4 minus the last letter
no 6/21 is weird - it sounds like this: if you have no**** in a company, you don't own any of it so you don't earn dividends
no6/21 no + st5/20 take off the last letter
ch: saprite gave a great clue for the no: if you go to the store and they don't have what you want they may say we have no*****minus last letter
Quick note...... anybody who plays sudoku - Dr. God just made some changes.... check it out!
mr. p!!!!!

angelsong, a type of cut a knife can do
bye mama!
i did TO - else how would i have known they existed? :) ok so WHAT is this TO?? and my 3 r's... :(
The best et8 clue today (I think) was what the King in the King and I liked to say -- I think it was boreetos clue.

SE 7 blade of a knife
et: usu abbr by its 1st 3 letters and found at end of lists
And I did not see The King and I, of course.

Merk LOL
hurshy, thanks, was the easy one i was missing
ch1212 - i am so glad i do NOT have to think about what that means :) but i do need 3 r's - a 5 and 2 6's, so maybe one pair is a combo.
okay, there's a te6/18 that follows the word for what we camp with, (with the sometimes vowel tacked on and don't even get me started with THAT!) but ... any clues? ")
sounds like the syndrome where you can't help swearing (but not pl)

there is the ro 6 which is a service club in most towns... and the ever popular ro 5/10 that spells like the first 4 letters of the mean dog, with second vowel at end.
yes - ro 6/18 is a traffic circle
((((MAMA))))) realistically... 2.5 hours at a flat out run!
Don't do it MAMA, you will regret it, there are 37 re's!

thanks
krychek the green links on the right - the last four are all helps
Krycheck: take a look at Angelsong's Babble Page, link at right. It will likely tell you everything you want to know. Welcome!

go bbnaz, go!
bbnaz, sorry to hear that (not to butt in) ... I love horses, they're so beautiful
nope, believe it or not, as soon as Iris was on her feet and back in the stall, Luna was nursing (obviously not getting much but still). Besides at 4 weeks she is starting to drink from a bucket so we put formula in a bucket for her to supplement from. Luna has been a dream and poor Iris has lost close to 500 pounds.
Stid - the Gilda Radner Ovaran Cancer Research center is doing some wonderful things right now. Well they have from the beginning but what a nice thing to leave behind huh?
No worries! Thanks. For such big creatures they are remarkably fragile. The last horse I did this type of surgery on did not survive so I was a bit distracted the past few days. No babbling.
bbnaz - ((((hugs))))
well, I hope Iris will continue to mend swiftly. Pleased Luna is doing okay -- I suspect it's as traumatic for horses as it is for us. are you, then, doing OK/better?
i hope everything gets better bbnaz (((hugs)))
Yes, she certainly left a legacy to be proud of. Still, wish the research center were directly under HER guidance!
it is nice to be back here. they come home tomorrow and i can fatten miss iris back up. she has been such a trooper through this whole thing. me? i need a ton of sleep but DrG puts these mega grids up to taunt me!
well -- maybe we should get back to the grid then... *grimace* I am sure not making swift progress right now.
305 to go! yippee. I can see that 300 just waving (fanning herself on the front porch) at me!
bbnaz - LOLOLOL
one of the last two re 7/28? I have the one that is to bring back to original beauty or health
why i do believe that i have popped the 300 barrier. i am at 299 thanks to that lovely re clue!

t y faerie!!!!!
thanks, stidmama- what does stid mean?
MM there is one re 7/28 meaning to withdraw, another to respond,
i am back to finish after doing many chores, inside & out - going to devote rest of evening to this grid - no matter how long it takes!
stid is the first four letters of our last name :-)
aha!!! Inge you win the prize. It is the one to withdraw I am missing. ty ty ty
{{{helen}}}
hiya stid !!!!!
i have but 21 words to go, but no more energy. Dont like being driven by a mere game...so I will call it aday.
Hiya, helen!!!!
Good Night Inge :)
Goodbye Inge!
hi jai !
inge -- you are wiser than I! see you tomorrow. :-)
brb
good night inge. Thanks again.
There are nine words that start with the word for a penny......:o)
thanks jaianniah! *rushes over to the appropriate spot and begins digging*
I need the first st7/8 combo. After the hi fi equipment
There are 13 words that start with the sound a dove makes.....
First 7 8 combo- take the word for begin, change the vowel and add the word in the middle of word + its plural
TY TY TY jai! My list is definitely a collaborative effort tonight.
8 words that start with the word for a temporary camvas bed....
9 trees from Lord of the Rings......minus the s
mild heart attack - i just lost internet service & i was afraid all 311 words would be gone - WHEW!!!
just got the kids their dinner and sat back down with a bit of chocolate seder plate -- anyone want a bit? *warning* not exquisite, but definitely chocolate!
10 words that start with the sound of "any"- six of them start any + the letter alpha
stid forces helenkeller to get up & find easter basket
fortunately, helen -- drG runs this from a database ( i think ) that automatically saves with each "updation" as one of my kids calls it -- the words are there in your account (or should be) once they'er typed in!
The extraterrestrial word is from The King and I
thx stid - i didn't know that, guess i made my bp pills work overtime for nothing :)
:-) fortunately, my Tom is a database guru -- he explained it to me when I had my first "heart scare" a couple weeks ago.
I am stuck on the te6/18 between the canvas dwelling5/14 and the te5/10 earthy ter,m
Only 6 knots to untangle.......
jai was that a clue?
Hey all, how goes the battle this evening?
Hi Jera - I'm still slugging away. I have 19 more to find but am trying to watch Spartacus while searching the grid.
Jera -- argh! :-)
Cross "term" with the ending of "complete"
I'm quite proud of myself for resisting temptation to start this grid I could never finish... very busy day today!
Jae you are a miracle worker. good call jera. I started knowing I probably wouldn't finish. i'm farther along than I expected.
Yell if you like my clues and want more......
jaianniah, i like your cluse, just trying to catch some of them as they fly by! :-) *back to typing frantically*
I love your clues. Just trying to figure what I am missing. Hard to do in a grid like this - takes awhile to sort it all out.
Only six words start like "pros and ***s"
OOps...make that seven.....
jaianniah -- I know you said "King and I" for the extraterrestrial word but I have 'Bali Hai' from "South Pacific" running through my head... can't seem to switch to Yul Brynner (help)
Six words start like the first ne4/4
there is a te 7/8 combination that is with the exam words. I think they fall right before the plural exam. Help? Please?
Yul says "and so on and so on and so on"
{{TY}} I knew it would make sense!
Cross your exam with "cartoon" + plural
Thanks Jai. Only 10 more words to go. Tired of me bugging you yet?
Good evening everyone; I've been popping in and out of babbledom all day and find myself quite bemused by 1)the clever clues and 2) the way the simplest answers seem to elude me--only a third of the way through after several scattered hours of clicking. Ah well, I'll simply have to persevere, while wishing all of you greater success. LOL
'Happy talk keep talking happy talk...' (don't forget to do the fingers talking as you sing along)
It is a pleasure to help!!!!!! Keep at it!!!!
LOL hetty -- you have described the grid today beautifully!
LOL Hetty ;)
Mab That is one of all time favorite musicals.
My favorite YB quote (well a character he played: pharaoah): So let it be written, so let it be done! I use that phrase alot. I also like the way he would say Moses, Moses...
That pr word? Cross "pronoun" with "stigmata"
Mine too, but I was teasing stidmama who can't get bali hai out of her head.
stidmama is too busy to be teased. stidmama is too far behind her normal easy pace to notice... stidmama needs more chocolate! mmmmph
8 words start with "se*s of dishes"
okay lame oh here. ... I need the first co 7 and 8 please please please?
How about Shiny Happy People for a great song to get stuck in your head... especially if you don't quite know the words (like me)!
Eight words start with the ending of a famous animal from Aussie Land...
Music - co 2 upsidedown n's + 4th vowel + cross + 2nd vowel then make plural
two smelly scaley fish please. Thanks for the clue.
faerie -- didn't you mean upside right n's?
last ta5/10?
Your inability to get those words "means" that you are getting tired- co+ double consonant
the dumm stats sez I have 110 words left to find... blah.
Angel the biblical weed with a double consonant.
Well, it's my going to bed at a decent hour time... have fun, you all! I should be able to actually play tomorrow!
Last ta is stixky, gooey road substance spelled with extra letters (and plural)
good night, Jera! see you tomorrow!
good night Jera. I'll be here I don't teach on Wed.
Good Night Jera - Sweet Dreams :)
MM, I have the biblical weed and it's plural. I need another 5/10 and the last ta6.
double the consonant in your biblical weed and then pl. it. (double faerie's hook letter)
Angel, look at my clue.....
got them both. thanks.
LOL - that was good Music <g>
I knew she would know which letter that way <cute grin>
Last three words start with letters that rhyme with "jar"
Okay I need one of the last two ce6/21 words. I have the one that sounds like a brand of breath mint.
Seven pesty, te**y words
ce + cross letter + 1st vowel + upside down u + 2nd vowel
cross the ce beginning with octane
got it faerie. One more word to go but it is an r and I have them all checked on lickety's list so I'm going to have to go exploring.
jaianniah, while you're on a roll, my last so 5 is the one after what you plug a lightbulb in....
A Batman word- rocko, so***----dumb word
otay, i got 104 words for today. I will be back on the flip to attempt to finish a puzzle but for now must go and feed my children........... happy babbling
i need some fireworks after all that hard graft
later, bbnaz!
dum wurd indeed! TY
bbnaz - Good Night :)

Krycheck - if you need any help just give a yell and someone will hopefully be able to help you. Good going. Did you look at Angelsongs Resource Page?
Definitely dedicating this one to you Jai (and Faerie) couldn't have done it without the two of you.
does anyone else ever get the really hard words, then forget to enter the ro** words from which they derive? *facepalm*
I dfon't get the middle brain clue for the te5/12
krychek -- good job!
F*I*R*E*W*O*R*K*S* ALL ROUND
yes stid Angel - te+curved letter+cross+first vowel.
i am down to 99 to find! I feel so competent! course, that's a comparative... ;-)
everyone deserves fireworks for attempting this grid
CROSS tECHNIQUE WITH TATA
you are competent stid. Keep plucking away. You have plenty of time.
stid, i'm always forgetting the plurals and pasts
good idea scatty! ..................... ......... >>>>>*****BOOM****<< << ........................... ... for everyone!
I gave a lot of clues tonight- you can scroll back the messages to find them to help you all.......
jaianniah -- your clues are great, I am finding all kinds of words with them -- i'm just really slow today. {{{Thank YOU}}} for all your help!
come on stid, you have less than three hours to go
i'm working, tpying as fsta smy figners go!
Stidmama, you are a champ! It was a pleasure to help!!!!
Wow! What a grid! I have 195 words for 3193 points and I still have 193 words left to find! (insert eyes rolling smilie here)
A freebie- cross that sound a dove makes with "wee"- five letters- I never would have gotten it!!!!
isn't it fun minski?
231 words, 3341 points here and fading fast
hello Minski! bet you'll catch up to me in no time! I'm imitating a turtle today...
jai - an absolute genious you are, love the clues!!

looked at agnel song but using licketys page to help eheh
THanks for the freebie jaianniah! WHat a dumb word.
typing my fingers off and my keyboard is still sticky from dripping honey mustard on it earlier. "I did stop and clean it up" but apparently not very well.
The PR7/32 starts with the 3 letters that you think it starts with. Add the thing that you used to pass your friends in class but with a different vowel on the end.
I've got to rest now- remind people to scroll back the last 50 messages to get clues, k???? Love to you all!!! Good luck!!!
Thanks for all your help jai. pleasant dreams.
Krycheck - thats great. Most of us use that list to play by.
Good Night Jai - Sweet Dreams :)
good night, jaianniah, sweet dreams!
sup all
ain't it cool
hello mike
Hi Mike
faerie, or MM, i need help with the no 6/21...
no6/21 the first three letters of your smeller + what a clock says - k
Stid - no + plural letter + cross + 3rd vowel + c
TY MM! my problem is, I keep looking for obvious WORDS!
I needed a clue for that one too stid. Impossible. I wouldn't even think to monkey type it.
thanks faeriek!
yw :)
65 words to go...
My lickety chart is all filled in, and I triple checked, but I have only 386 words. Any idea why?
are you sure all the words you put in Lickety's list got entered in the Babble page?
Merk check again. You had to have checked something you don't have. Lickety's list is right. I finished with it. It's hard when there are lots of similar combinations --- easy to make a mistake.
Merk - Refresh your page and flip to the stats to see what your missing.
sometimes (not often) Lickety's page is missing a word, but I haven't heard anyone say that today.
lickety's words were all there today
Merk, have you doubled a word somewhere, i do that sometimes
My list had 388, but two words did not have scores. So I refreshed and that's when I dropped to 386. I went back to Lickety and checked my list with what I had written in there, spelliing and everything. It is totally filled in correctly. Still only 386 words with Babble's site. I don't know how to find the two words.
two hours and counting
Merk flip to stats and see what isn't greyed in.
thanks for the reminder, scatty! *no pressure here!*
Musicmom~ I almost slipped in an e-mail to mom (replying to your birthday celebration) about seeing Sarah next weekend. I'm ready for the "cat to be out of the bag"!
faerie that won't work if Merk hasn't gone pro.
I'm not a member; it's not available.
BGL ME TOO. I'm worried about the kids slipping while she is here this weekend.
Your right MusicMom Sorry Merk
Merk - go pro
I would go pro, ecept I can only do this about once every two weeks, hardly worth it, I thought. I've never heard what the advantages are. I assume that's why I have no icon.
I guess tape over the mouth doesn't work! :)
Merk, a couple of months ago the grid kept telling me i was missing a word, i kept putting the word in but it wouldn't accept it, it kept saying that it was already there, in the end i gave up, but when i checked the next day it had regestered
No I hope she hasn't started babbling and is lurkin in the chatroom.
any clues for that lone 10 letter...?
Merk -- Lickety now says how many words begin with each letter -- count all the a's on the Babble list and compare, and so on -- that will at least narrow down your search.
Merk - not only do you get an icon and a purse and a flag. We get a stats grid that shows us each letter and how many words come off that letter. As you finish a letter it turns grey. Really helps to pinpoint lost words.
Please... she hates Boggle! So I doubt she would Babble!
Quite unusual for me, I've been home this week and have loved reading your chats. I'd love to do it daily, but I have no internet connection from the road, at least not of any length to do this. Sad to say.
en10 french for go in +french for sea+pl
thanks 'mom ...searching.
i thought it was french for "coast"?
Merk I understand. When I went pro I was able to babble every day. Now sometimes I only hit once or twice a week. Still a good investment -- $10 for a lifetime.
i need another help, please the very last ne 5/10
OOPS didn't I tell you I failed french? Yes it is french for coast.
i thought mere was the sea
change the first letter of a breathmint brand to an n
it is scatty I'm dense and tired. Sorry:-((
could be wrong, i dropped french 31 years ago
'nother dumm word :-( no wonder i'm babblified today!
BGL did you play today?
MM~ going to bed. Talk to you later. I didn't even start the grid today, aren't you proud of me? (this is my week of meetings every night - no time to play) Maybe tomorrow after youth group (depending on the number of words).
beazus have you found it yet
It will probably be a teeny one tomorrow. I actually have time to play. Good night. Talk to you later.
night musicmum
hey guys...i'm relatively new to this...and i'm doing surprisingly well for a newbie (1319)...but for some reason where it's supposed to put my score it says "NaN"...so i'm using a calculator to keep track...do you know what might be up?? thanks :)
OK, I went Pro, but now you have to explain the shading and the stats to me. Under the Letter C there's a 55 in a white box and a 57 right below it in gray. What does that mean? I guess I'm missing one 4 letter word and 1 six. I have not a clue where to begin looking.
Jade, sometimes refreshing the page works when that happens.
thanks stidmama...would that mean i'd loose my words though?
Merk -- that means you are missing two of the words that start with c
You are correct Merk. Now go back to Lickety's list and compare it to the words in your list. It should be easy to see where you've missed. At least you know which letter to start with and how many letters in the words.
both words will build off the c that is indicated on the stats page.
Congratulations Merk - You are truly one of use now *evil laugh*
One a four letter and one a six?
Nope you won't lose your words. Dr.G has it worked out great that way.
10 letter word first five letters in(french) last five letters sounds like what you would wear over your clothes when you go out
am i coming thru?
Jade, you shouldn't lose your words, the actual "count" is kept on the server that runs the game, not on your machine. So when you refresh, it just asks the game server to resend the correct info.
Hi Ice Cream :)
ice cream where are you going to hee hee
YAY!!! thank you very much :-D good luck everybody (though i doubt you guys need it!)
Merk I sometimes look for places where there are two words with the same letter count and point value together. I often miss one of them and check them both.
Jade -- notice that many of us who are left are not too proud to ask for help :-), nor to give it!
i cannot see the te 7/28 's - the last four pls?
That's the beauty of babble --- total collaborative effort.
yes, i see that all posts are very nice, you're all so very helpful to each other (and me)...it's great to see :)
oops no the last one and the bunched together four, i mean
hi again jeffer -- sorry, I haven't figured out which ones I have yet... trying to eliminate the easier letters first!
Exactly what Music said "ditto"
if you have the 6/18 that is the latin pl of earth here are the 7/28 add an upside down u between the last two letters of the 6/18
I am backkkkkkk!!!!......Anyone need help?
the next two sound like a soup vessel at a fancy dinner. one has a double vowel. The other is vowel consonant vowel
jeffer, which 7/28, there are loads of them
I thought you were going to bed, young lady! *frowny smiley face*
thanks mm right on target!
those are helping me, too MM! thanks for knowing what to ask for, jeffer!
When you get down to the exam words there is one that is exam +opp of off (pl) there is one that is exam+saturday morning show the 8 is the pl
jeffer there is also one that is a plural of the word that sounds like a round room on a house.
jeffer, do you have the 7/28 - small exam +not offs opp
or like a weasel-ly creature that many people keep for pets...?
that's an even better clue stid.
next one is the same four letters + childens car**** on the tv
Well, I went through all my "c" words and found two that I had typed in earlier, but as you said, it hadn't accepted them. Now I have my 388 words ... bells and whistles ... and I am a Pro. How do I get an icon?
YAY Merk! *****fireworks*****
*~*~*~**~CONGRATULATIONS MERK*~*~*~*~* WHOOOOOOOOOTTTTT!!!!!
MERK Bravo Bravo and congrats. Click on MY PROFILE up at the top right. It will talk you through icon, profile and flag.
go to the "my profile" link at the top right of your page. There is an icon box with the word "edit" underneath. Click on that, and the rest should be fairly obvious... (though i needed help the first time)
YAH MERK ********************F*I* R*E*W*O*R*K*S***************** **********
Merk- click on" my profile"...and follow directions....
55 words left... fading fast. off to write in as many of the words as I can in Lickety's list, then back to finish.... BRB
I am only missing 2 T words. I have no idea which ones. I don't think I care to figure it out either. Too many other words to find.
I thought the s and t were endless today.
Minski, I can help if you want...
The co list bogged me down terribly. Yes t's were awful too.
MINSKI - WAKE UP, DONT GIVE UP COME ON YOU CAN DO IT, WE HAVE
Folks. I hate to bail on you but I need to head to bed. The alarm goes off early in the morning to get the kids out the door. See you tomorrow. Thanks again for all your help.

{{{MusicMom}}} Goodnight and Sweet Dreams :)
Good job, Musicmom!!!

good night MM!
Welcome Merk, and well done. You're the fastest pro I know. As for me, I'm stymied by this one--still more than a hundred words to go, so I'm signing off. I have an appointent at the hospital (hospice vigil) so think of me in the wee small hours. Hope to see you all tomorrow, LOL
just out of curiosity...why has it said "1 minute left before the puzzle closes" for the past 20 minutes or so? what time does it actually close?
NIGHT NIGHT MUSICMUM, SWEET DREAMS
Starting near the top, nine words begin with the word for "penny"

well in an hour and a half it will flip so what time does that make it over there
Well, I'm back. Time to see if my icon worked out OK.
Can you see that they are daffodils? What is the little gadget that you have to the right of your flags?
fantastic Merk :)
8 words begin with the word for a temp canvas bed....co*
here in NY it'll be 1 a.m. in an hour and a half...i'd like to stay until it closes, but i have class LOL...this is an absolutely wonderful way of procrastinating :) hehe
you have to remember to refresh your screen when the new grid pops up or you wont get the letter grid, give it a couple on minutes though
I'm on the west coast of Canada, and it flips at 9 p.m. here--which I think is midnight in the east of the continent. Sweet dreams, and night to you too, Scatty
I'm going to bed now, too. Good luck finishing up!
Nine words begin with the word for tree herder from Lord of the Rings en*
like the flowers Merk, i took ages to work out how to get the icon up and running, you know your way round a computer then
Good Night Merk, sleep well :)
Yes, the outers, not the innards

That's it. Time to throw in the towel. I have 262 words for 4285 points. I never expected to finish this one. Too many words and not enough time. On the positive side, the Red Sox won again and are in first place in their division while the Yankees are in last place in the same division. I have to enjoy this while it lasts. Nighty-night all.
