Honestly the rain was sweeping the streets yesterday it was like winter but muggy at the same time
tell me about it! I drove back here from the Cotswolds yesterday morning. I've honestly never been so scared driving!
There is nothing worse than motorways in heavy rain and the driving is soooo bad
all the minor roads were underwater, and lorries still barrelled along at 60 mph spraying water everywhere, it waslike driving blindfold half the time
especially because you cannot see a thing when cars bl4 their curtains of rain over your windows.

Last time we were there on a stopover it was just as the SARS crisis was about to unfold... we had to abandon our plans to spend the day at the Po Lin monastery and stay in the airport hotel instead.

We were trying not to be hysterical about it... but we were on our way to of all places, Canada, where there had been a couple of deaths, so we thought if we left the airport we would end up quarantined when we got to Vancouver!
and we kept telling the kids... just imagine how hard it must be if you live here!

I did as much of my grocery shopping as possible on line and then my husband and I would go to the super market with our face masks on and shop as quickly as possible. it was car - office - car - home.

Yes, I acquired her on Saturday---an Algerian immigrant family from my practice left their apt, is hoping to get funds to buy a house soon and the new apt does not permit animals, thus I saved her from going to the SPCA. Her name is Bijou and I fell in love with her quickly.

Oh. Come to think of it, I did have to scan a watercolor once, and it didn't work very well. It doesn't usually matter much for most of my prints - if the color's slightly off it's easy to adjust in photoshop.
