I don't have the first cr7/32 :-(
Hi all :)

the first cr7/32 is the act of making something, without the last letter.
hi liz
ma 7 x 2
ty cathyar for the cr 10 - my first word! ty to the medical dramas i enjoy!!!!
lol Liz...that's the only way I knew it too...had the google exactly what it was. lol

ni5/10, flo
BBL :) Good luck to all the fast finishers
they put some temporary chalky goo over it, Liz... and I am supposed to try not to chew on that side... also said if I get into trouble when we travel to get something called Orthoworks at a drug store.
had tocancel a doc's appointment this morning -- snow and ice and slush and rain on the hills...
I did finally get it, thanks Tor
I didn't see a clue for that middle N...
Dee, perhaps it's worth getting some of that before you travel - just in case!!!!!
still snowing there jili?
Good idea, Liz.
no, dee -- just rain, washing the mess away, thank goodness
brb need some water
ni5/10

Haha. Great "clues" there, flosey. ;)
For the rest of your LIFE don't you mean? :P
Am I to in5/16 that you need a clue?
Ha.
thought you already had those , flosey! But I guess you're among the big-words-first gang now.
lol, really Neil
heya neil
yes thanks, torg, gotcha
Hey ru. :)
I'm on GT.
thanks tor! :-)
GT?
origami is my phantom
stupid z word (ty morewords) -- nbt/nbs
odd one, have not seen it before, monkeyed it
Gonna go to bed now -- goodnight all...*poof
how many letters is the z?
my monkeys are blind
Oh man I must be out of it ru. I glanced at the chog and thought I saw you saying "origami is my passion". :P Haha, I could just see that. Paper airplanes maybe? I still make those on occasion.
6, cathy
Just if I want to fire one at someone here. ;)
ty jilli
*repoof
Night, jilli.
oh, is that what went zooming past my ear, Neil
Could be flosey.
night night jilli
only if you fold in the tent neil
But by "here" I mean this apartment... not Babble. Kind of hard to throw one around in the chog.
how's stompy tonight?
Huh. I'm not getting that, ru... but I'm kinda "out of it" right now.
Oh he's actually quiet. But that's how it goes with him... he has spurts where he makes a hell of a lot of noise, in between which there are no signs of life up there.
origami.. fold in the tent.. a folding joke
maybe he's catatonic
And he usually waits for hours where you're definitely asleep, before making lots of noise.
Yeah.
I would literally kill him
Believe me... I'm sorely tempted. :/
Think I'll be paying him a little visit soon.
or leave satanic signs scratched in his door
Haha!
you could blame the building.. tell him you need sleep and his stomping and loud noises at all hours are disturbing your babble time
Blame the building? Huh.
thin walls
not enough sounds barriers.
Well, no. If he could walk normally and do his vacuuming and laundry at reasonable hours, there wouldn't be a problem.
Oh man. "Fierce" is nearly in the grid.
i tend to be a light sleeper.. i wouldn't put up with it
No. Not going to.
good for you
finally...managed to monkey that ze6/33
that's how I got it, Cathy
are you saying banana prices are going up with this grid you two?
it's a horrible word...lol! 3:30 a.m. here...yet I cannot pull away. lol. this is why i cannot come here often. oi vay!
there's a chap on the island here who is growing bananas - so far, apparently, he has managed to produce very tiny ones
is the di8 related to the di7 before it?
does he dole them out flosey
does he dole them out flosey
lol, he is the most knowledgeable person I know when it comes to gardening - he specializes in unusual, apparently has a very interesting garden
flosey, di8, means a miniature scene...di + either/** + i **, you are + In Charge
my neighbors have an interesting garden too.. not sure it's totally legal.. however..lol
lol, lots of that grown on the Island here
so I guess the straits up there are the only thing that's straight?
once the police flew over a site, went back and got the car, drove back and the guys were still there, harvesting - caught red handed
i'm guessing not exactly "red" handed
ok, more green handed, then, but it is (apparently) quite readily available if you know the people involved
one young fella was searched but without a warrant so case dismissed!
they didn't have to hash it out with him?
nope
they're still trying to legalize it
that was a joke flosey
yes, ha ha ha
it didn't go over my head
sorry to interrupt you both, but flosey did you see my clue at 1:46?
sorry rose, no, i didn't see it, checking it now
must have been when I went to the kitchen
had a b**** of a day...on he way to work, yours truly had angina, 2 doses of GTN and arrived at work still in pain. checked into emergency, and spent the day here until 1pm.all okay, no changes in enzymes or EKG.
thanks Rose, got it, would not have found it - poor monkeys
according to doctors i need to de-stress. lol. this is the only time when i am NOT stressed.
Hey Rose. Glad all's O K. That must've been scary
and I welcome the interruption to get a word like that one rose
that's good to hear rose, so you must find more time to spend with us
Oh, dear rose. Am sending positive energy to you now.
thanx flosey and liz
Look after yourself :)
and peach....you are all such good friends.
oh rose, I misread that at first, you must take care - slow down at work if necessary, your Dr. will stand by you
what is angina actually rose
gosh i love you all, was really scary. ruru, angina is when the coronary arteries start to spasm or are partially blocked, and the heart tissue isn't getting enough oxygen.
oh wow.. awful
if the medication to stop the spasms, or the actual arteries are not helped by stents to remain patent, death of cardiac tissue follows.
And what are your docs saying?
yeah, mate. consider...my mother has 'silent' heart attacks...she feels no pain, just feels unwell.
so a person wouldn't have any idea, other than simply not feeling well?
liz, don't need stents, and since it is now 16 months since i smoked a ciggie, and i have lost 35.5kgs, and am maintaining a fat-free diet as best i can, cardiologist is quite optimistic.
That's good. Personal question - don't have to answer. Can you afford to cut down on work to ease stress?
Hey! You could play the stress card to persuade Don to do your kitchen!!!
not yet, sweetie. in the new year, don and i are going to centre link. apparently they have a free financial information service. i have a 'loan' on the house in tecoma where son and his wife live. he is now qualified, and she has found another job. they should be able to afford to pay rent.
Well hope you're taking it easy over the Xmas period.
omg, liz, didn't think about that....
do you have any family coming for Christmas, rose?
not really, flosey. although don is pushing to go to his sister's for christmas tea....
well, anything you don't have to prepare, could it be a brief visit?
Tmhis year do what YOU want - you've had a tough time just since I've been in babble land!
she has some very strange friends who she invites to her home for christmas. all very nice, except they are very foul-mouthed, and i don't like christmas day to be spoiled with 4 letter words.
foul mouths aren't pleasant to deal with
no place for a Christmas Tea
I agree with flosey. Much too stressful
yeah, besides if don's eldest comes over to spend the day with us, he doesn't like to go there either. so...too bad, so sad. i will have to stay home with him, while don goes over there.* shrug *
Sounds good to me!
morning :)
And don will have to get home early to check you're ok
morning sarah
Hi Sarah :)
{{{sarah}}}
feel the love, dear girl. how's the head? and the bp?
hope you are all well :) {{{rose}}}
head hurts a lot today :( so think bp high today
do you have meds to lower it sarah?
Christmas Joke NO.754: An elderly gentleman phones his son and says, "Son, me and your ma are getting a divorce. After 50 years of looking at the cow, I've had enough." The son is very taken abackl and asks what on earth is going on, to which the father replies that its true, he's had enough, and its all over. Obviously, the son is rather upset, so he phones his sister and tells her the news. She gets straight on the phone to the father who confirms the story: "yup, its right. I've had enough of the cow, and we're getting divorced." The daughter says "Right, don't be stupid. Don't do anything. Don't see a lawyer, don't file any papers, we're coming to sort this out." The old man puts down the phone, turns to his wife and says "Right, thats sorted. They're both coming home for Christmas, AND they're paying their own air fare."
not yet flosey got to have bp thing for weekend that i can not take off and had bloods done they waitting to see what they both say
Lol dachef :)
Damn, that was longer than I thought!
oh yes, do you strap it around your waist?
lol Dachef, but a good one
not sure flosey go tomorr to have it put on
good luck with it Sarah, hope he finds some relief - headaches alone can mess up your day
Hope all goes well tomorrow sarah
sarah, i had to wear a monitor for 2 days also. scared the c**p out of my doctor when he saw the results. at work my bp was 180/120, when i was asleep it was 70/30. he didn't know what to do.
Hi Lizlin, sarah6 and Dachef.
I must get to bed, another busy day tomorrow - Friday 3 arriving, Saturday the other 2

hi all
Hello, Carlee.
hi zoom :)
some twisty words in here :)
yes it is very twisty today and gerund..lol
the twisty ones are my favs :)
It does seem more stisfying when you find a big twisty word.
good morning, can some clue the 10 please
sorry..just got here
it is like the protein powder ends with the number before ten.
thnks zoom :)
If you get the CR7/32 + number before ten.
Yw.
( got the 7 after the ten....)
I know they test your blood for cr10, that is the only frame of reference I have for the word.
Hello, Molly.
Hey Zoom
morning molly
Hi Carlee
thanks I've got it now - never heard of it!
any clues for the middle row - can't seem to get to grips with those.
EN6/27 the en**** code
IN 6& 7 cricket wickets.
thanks for the en6 - the in 6 & 7 come from the top I
AM 5/14 a+ squeek squeek
ic 4... religious treasure
IN 6/30 in+ not soft
in5/16...to suggest something without actually saying it
there we go nbt/nbs in 31 words
ZE 6/33 ze + vowel + metal
That should get you some middle ones.
Good work, Carlee.
thanks zoom :)
Thank you so much for all those clues - I just need the lower N in the middle column for nbs and nbt
think lice jenny
ni and opp word in french for yes

TY Zooz. Evening all
Hello, Lynxxx!
thanks zooz. Achieved my target for the day and now must go back to wrapping Christmas Presents. Poof
hi lynxxx
hi Carlee - long time no see.
Take care, Jenny.
am done term :)
when is your year end at school?
end of april
and you are in 2nd year? - or is already 3rd?
4th i had 2 from many many years ago
so you only have 4 months to go!?
ummmm... either 1 more year or 5
really?...thats a big decision. Will money/employment decide for you?
whether i get into the fac of ed next year decides it... if not..on to MA/PhD
i will get a taste of that shortly...i have independent study this term with my fav prof... 1:1 as an undergrad woohoo!!!! how often does that happen?
good luck then...though sounds like you are really liking the work
loving it for the most part..hated epistemology...it became an exercise in endurance... i would have rather an reconciliation with my ex over taking that course again
lol
its horrid... and i told the prof that too... but getting into philosophy and especially applying events of today to the theories of the ancients and medievals...great great fun..love writing the papers
how about you..how are things with you lynxxx?
pretty good...got involved with a local community group this year which is making me feel either really useful and satisfied - or otherwise pretty angry and frustrated. I think I will finish a project I am doing for it and then get out - maybe another 6 months
yea..i got that way a while ago with girl guides..i stepped out of the politics.... made it much more enjoyable
unfortunately a really small group - and not big-noting myself but I think if I opted out it would probably fold. (so would be nice to actually achieve something positive for the local area before I give it up. We are getting very well known and lots of publicity but....
anyhow - how are your kids?
ahh... sounds intriguing
kids are good... all things are actually good...i started to see someone too... which is nice....is good..he lives 150 mi away which means when we are together its really nice....but we are not joined at the hip which is nice too...
sounds 'nice' lol.
sounds like your newish car must still be clocking up the miles..is there anywhere you go that isn't a hundred miles away
it is... very nice... i enjoy my independence... and..no not really... i just keep clicking on the miles...but i have realised i quite enjoy freeway driving... long stretches of road... i get a lot of thinking done then...
an 5/14 plz
ennui
oops must feed the dog - the night has got away from me
and paul is very sweet.. he is a gentle giant... works security for the film industry so looks (maintains a look) that is totally badass biker...but he is such a square..i love it :)

mental health big issue for me, with my son and all. i can understand alot of what people are going thru. good morning ruby, carlee, all

mental health is a big issue here...we have now to dat had over 30 teen/ yound adult suicides in 2 1/2 years in our community of 75K
young* adult
my son could win an oscar for his acting. seems people with mental health probs. fool their drs into thinking they are ok.
they do indeed wear a mask
I think a lot of people "put on a show" for their docs. Husband's MD thinks he's a charmer! I'm the only one who sees the "real"DH
i always have the fear , when he doesnt answer his phone that something happened. i live with that everyday.. never know when they will snap. i agree ruby, that s how my son is.. i c the real person.
Hey all
so they start looking at you, like you're the unreasonable complainer! I know the drill
hi jan:) we are getting snow tonight
Wonderful :)
hi jan
Im home from cuba..tanned and wiating!

lucky you!!!!
When I was practicing, I represented hundreds in civil commitment proceedings. Being alone in a room with some of them was an interesting occurrence.
aaah, Cuban food and sunshine, what a combination!
how did you cope BR...I had 3 years as a legal assist in crim law..and i absolutely hated it ...i felt like all i ever saw was the dregs of society and I lived in a cesspool...
Could I get a clue for di8, please?
hello Marc

i'd say this grid is definitely harder than the last couple
either that or i'm so excited about being away from work for two weeks that i can't see straight.
I was beginning to feel an5/14 trying to find an5/14.
8.4% of the words end in ing
it's more than that
it's at least 10%
and that's not counting the ones that end in -ings
I count 16
co6, co7, cr8, di6, di7, do7, ea7, fa6, fa7, fi7, in6, ma7, na6, ra7, re7, ta6, ta7, te8, ti6, ti7
So, I can't see or count.

there is also ta8 on that front though
ea 8/50

he's ok but it's frustrating and a lot of work.

hi all
hursh,what is wrong with Marty?
Hello, peri
not much - he lost some weight over the summer but there wasn't anything particular wrong that the vet could find, she had us switch him to wet food for kidney health and because he's not very into food of any kind, it's a lot of effort to get him to eat as much as he should
my cat likes Fancy Feast particulary the grilled chicken and turkey.
sometimes she eats a lot and sometimes not. how old is Marty?
i buy some really expensive stuff online. it doesn't matter what it is, he just doesn't care about food.
he's 12.
have you tried any of the Fancy Feast grilled food.
no
i don't trust regular brands
ok
the kind i buy uses only FDA approved ingredients for human consumption
there's no regulations at all on cat food, so...

morning folks
Hi Bich, nice icon. I read that the Newtown people are trying to get the media to leave them alone. Good for them.
have a friend that was having the worse day, he just texted me that "'well I am fucked again the motor blowed up my big truck this morning" I first replied "Damn. Well at least the world is going to end tomorrow, it won't be a problem. " and then I wrote "and think of it this way, according to your text, you where fucked and blown this morning, not a bad start." If you can....help someone smile today.
Lol, sue! Your optimism is admirable!

hello all :) Paycheck arrived early while we were too low on money... isn't it wonderful to be lucky :)
... ok I guess one should have been there ;)
it's awesome, sprite!
hi mael, thanks :) I am happy and relieved :)
lovely endings today
hi all
hi jmc :)
how nice to see you sprite!
and vice versa :) How have you been?
glad you got the paycheck early. . . just don't spend it all in one place! ;-)
i have been busy which makes me wonder how much time was lost while i had carbon monoxide poisoning. . . i am getting a good bit do** these days
oh, no we won't. Just the necessary things. And, I hope, a little bit extra for Christmas and for savings :)
glad to hear about the savings part. . .so many people forget that part especially when the are living on little
oh my, jmc... that is awful. Are you totally better now?
yes, saving is very important. I had to learn that myself, as well.
i have always had an automatic $10 per month taken out of my account even when i was broke because you rarely miss $10 and it is there when you have a sudden emergency
so very true.
yes. . .my cat sarted acting weird and that made me start to look around and realize there might be a problem with my gas furnace . . . the heating guy came and turned it off immediately saying that i had the most dangerous situation he had ever seen in 40 years
so he fixed it and my cat is getting progressively less weird. . .i think she is just afraid now rather than harmed. . .and one good thing came out of it. . .
jmc, that is scary! Am happy the cat warned you early... is the cat ok too?
she now uses a litter box for the first time in 15 years haliluya!
yay :)
it is so dangerous and so very fast, carbon mono poisoning.
well i am blue some much less now that i have to think and realize how much that was effecting me this wintere and last. . . so i am glad i am getting more do** and it is not just that i am old and useless ;-)
well that is the odd thing is that i probably had a low level poisoning for winter last year and the first of this year. . .but when it got bad enough for my cat to notice was when i figured it out
*hugs jmc* You are young, incredibly useful and, more importantly, much much loved. Glad you are safe now.
[blush] i meant that as a joke! but i am feeling much better about things!
so are you all ready for a merry christmas? do you have stockings and a tree there?
am really happy to hear that!
z anybody?
having a tree is very common here, stockings are less so. Ornaments, lights especially, indoors and outdoors. Some people celebrate with presents, others have the presents with Sinterklaas. Dinner with family and/or friends is also very common.
amino
sorry
sorry snit for a minute i though it was my favorite word i learned from babble zarf but i will look with you
but we personally are not having a tree this year. We do have a lot of candles. No presents, but we are gonna cook with our family, my girl and me probably an entree and a sidedish, my husband and son the main dish and dessert. And we will have Christmas breakfast in a festive way too.
hi amino :)
I mean hi cool, lol and hi Snit
i would not mind if the US had not go** the present route
the Z today is ze6. It ends in a metal.
hi cool np
you don't have Sinterklaas, jmc. That is the perfect moment for gifting. It is more a fun celebration. For me, Christmas is quieter, more inward-looking.
ty sprite for the z
yvw :)
what is sinterklaas?
i think christmas eve is the inward time here. . . christmas day is the hoopla!
jmc, please see this link: http://tinyurl.com/yty82s
nice. . . of course he morphed into our santa claus. . .
it is celebrated either with little children, and lots of (small) gifts, or with teens and adults (who don't believe in Sinterklaas anymore) and then the fun is in making silly poems and 'surprises' which means a fun package. Like building a TV from boxes and carton and hiding a remote inside. Etc etc.
i like your version better i think. . . but when i was a kid i was very excited about Mother and Daddy leaving the front door unlocked for Santa
thanks
sounds lovely sprite
yeah we have that excitement with Sinterklaas, indeed. Zwarte Piet, Sint's helper, throws sweets inside the houses and leaves a bag with presents.
my biggest problem with christmas is the my sister's birthday is on winter soltice so i have to be doublely creative. . .
nice icon snit. . . what is your dog's name?
oh that is bad. I have a friend on winter soltice, one on Christmas Day and one on Dec 31. It is madness.
so... why the heck isn't innard valid. Tsk.
i framed two squares of a quilt our grandmother made in the 1940s for her for christmas
that is a beautiful gift!
i useally find her birthday present in the summer so it has nothing to do with christmas. . . but this year i gots nothing
so you are looking for an idea?
i will give some of the other squares to my two other sisters and niece and nephews and the boy
haha always sprite i only have until saturday (we are celebrating a day late so her daughter can be there)
sounds wonderful. I would love a gift like that myself, so I think they will be very happy with it.
ok, tell me what does she like and how is your relation?
i mean to write a note about the squares for them to put on the back of the frame so my grandmother will get her credit. . . i suspect she made it for my mother's wedding
a great family story included... lovely gifts!
we are very close. . . she is lives near me in DC (the other two still live in TX) and she has been taking an audobon class, she likes good food, she gardens, she reads (very differnent books than i) she cooks, she was a journalist for 35+ years
hi all
yes my wedding gift is always 3 roses in a nice vase with a story
hi peri! *waves*
hi peri
i think the story is the real gift
*waves* back to jmc
how about an ornate box or little chest or case, filled with small packages containing a book voucher, a small dinner voucher, a card with a kiss on it, a voucher for a big hug, etc?
Many years ago a very shy young man, too shy to share what was in his heart, gave a beautiful woman named Guinevere three red roses to propose to her. All during their lives together, whenever he wanted to express his joy or his contrition, he gave Guinevere three red roses. A few weeks after his death at a ripe old age, she came to the Friends Meeting of Washington, to Rick and my wedding. She took us aside and told us her story and gave us a beautiful vase and three red roses. All during our married life, when some amazing or something terrible would happen, we would give each other three red roses. Sometimes Rick would bring me roses home when we were the most mad at each other! Neither one of us was shy, but the roses became a statement of our enduring—even during the hard times—love. I give to you the roses and the story. As Rick would say -- I hope your marriage is at least half as good as ours because then it will be very good indeed. Love and best wishes,
lovely story, jmc
awwwww... jmc, that really touches my heart.
an ornate box sounds like a great idea! I think not the kiss and hug. . . she is more huggy than i am but as you know that is not saying much
ty peri it still brings tears to my eyes . . .
well... that would make such a voucher a special treat indeed... to be used when she is in need of one :)
haha i will consider the voucher. . . maybe at least one for the next book i read that i think she would like
anyway, lots of good things to put in an ornate box. And they don't have to be expensive, often the small things work wonders.
or a voucher to get together and have a lovely drink on a terrace some day?
yes i am giving everyone a tiny jar of sea salt with herbes du provance that i made up since they are the trendy (and expensive) things at the food stores
sounds lovely jmc
oh that is ni4 too!
a voucher to help her do fix up chores at her house . . . i am much taller, stronger, and handier than she
dang sprite why didn't you tell me i needed to go to the PB?! hahah
there you go!
I am always grateful no matter how small the gift. be it handmade or storebought. It makes me happy just to know that someone thought enough to give me something.
but I have known others who did not appreciate handmade gifts :( I think handmade gifts are the best since they are made with love
peri, that is so very true! I am the same. I really treasure the gifts I get. Your little booklet is always on my desk :)
yes i feel that way too. . . i am making a lot of my gifties this year because i am kinda broke
awww, sprite
handmade gifts are wonderful.
you made sprite a booklet? how ni4
no, I did not make it.
i always make bourbon balls since that is the one cookie that requires no baking. . .but i am expanding this year
a lovely, philosophical and funny booklet.
I am thinking of making some soap or aromatherapy oils but I am kind of lazy
those are lovely gifts, peri. But indeed a lot of work
the booklet is by SARK . she is a great and insightful writer and funny too
oh okay . . . i was thinking of making some soaps too but along with you. . . too lazy. . . seems like too much work
wish you lived closer, jmc. it would be a fun thing to do together
jmc, just the title will tell you what kind of booklet it was: Change Your Life Without Getting Out of Bed: The Ultimate Nap Book
I did make polymer clay hearts a few years ago
hmmm SARK only brings up channel islands. . .
and back in the day I made candles.
i don't live THAT far away!
try again, jmc.
hope all these gifts survive the end of the world tomorrow!
haha yes i made sandcast candles as one of the many ways i worled my way through college
one of these day I will come and visit, I promise. but my cat is old and sick and no one will look after her if I am not here
haha i am willing to take my chances steve!
if you google the title I just posted, she will pop up
i understand completely about the cat peri
what are sandcast candles?
ty sprite
LOL steve! Yeah, we will see. I have full faith in the day after.
well isnt' it tomorrow already in Australia?
peri, the mayan calendar didn't set a time, only a date, lol.
have we talked to any australians lately
I have plans with my god daughter on Sunday
and she is hopefully giving me gin so I hope the world does not end tomorrow
oh i think her things are sold by the Syracuse cultural workers
check the chog archive steve. . .
how about me... I have a full day of therapy tomorrow, lol.
I know but I mean since it turned midnight
woohoo! got the 10!
You all do realize I am only jesting
bbs
the way you make sandcaste candles is you put wet sand in a box and then put the form in the wet sand (i usasually used a bowl) and then you remove the form and fpour in the wax. . . usually about a third of the mold at a time with different colors let it set then the next third and the other colors oftern drip down the sides. . .it make a beautiful candle. . .
well, it's been nice knowing yaaaaaa......
haha yes steve we do realize
you are right harp we should be giving each other farewells rather than hellos! haha
oh wow, I am gonna do that! I love it. And you can probably use leftovers of old candles too.
hiya harp, yeah, may the end be peaceful, grin
[please forgive the 9 million typos in the sand caste discription]
yes you just melt them down like any wax. . .

hi firefly, are we alone?
do you have stats for the 10? I have no idea
hi ruby
:)
hello mael, how are you?
cr10/77
molly, I was just thinking bout you! I made my all-time-best lasagna for dinner but had to substitute mascarpone for ricotta. It still worked
i'm good, how are you?
hi all. clue for that 10 please.
Sounds good Ruby. My clan doesn't like ricotta so I don't put it in my lasagna.
the mascarpone totally disappeared
ricotta does not belong in lasagna
:)
clue for cr 10 please.
and the sausage was Italian-American, brought here by my DIL from California. It's impossible to find those here
and they make awful lasagna using bechamel sauce
Nice treat for you.
heresy!
nice treat for husband!
this has to be the worst food region in France
bechamel sauce is the only sauce for lasagna
bechamel and meat sauce :)
cr10 - looks like an ingredient I'd read on a protein powder or supplement of some kind.
I make a spicy tomato sauce with meat and then layer mozzarella, parmesan and (mascarpone). It was wonderful
add a chemical ending to the cr7
got it! ty mael
I've converted my inlaws to proper italian lasagna ;)
yw!
I imagine that every family has its own lasagna recipe and my mother learned hers from the local Neapolitans
yeah, I make the classic bolognese lasagna
I prefer cheese, not cheese sauce in my lasagna.
3 cheeses, molly
yeah, a nice sprinkling of parmesan
do you add sausage, mael?
I use two, mozzerlla and Parmesan. And lots of Italian sausage.
no, I make meat sauce. Beef and pork, usually
and pancetta if I have any
the sausage makes the difference but you can't get it here. When DIL brings it, she buys huge amounts, freezes them and has a special carryon case
they probably have pancetta here, but I'm not sure what it is
phantom: zarf
it's a cured bacon-like product
and my "trick" for the sauce is Good Seasons Italian dressing mix
I sautee it with my onions. celery, and carrot dice to start the sauce
I love that stuff. I make our dressing with it and it's so much better than the bottled kind.
still dont have the cr 10. darn. cant find the seven
and it makes a zippy tomato sauce and/or meat loaf
cr7 sounds like inventing somethingf and then you add on and on

Hey there, Lizlin.

Not today but she said yesterday that she'd be back at flip, so wouldn't expect to hear yet.
Oh, right.
gist
sorry
did you get the di 8?
Not yet. I'm kind of going to other words and then go back and try it again.
dinnings
Crap....sorry.
Do you want a clue that was posted earlier?
di 8/55 word is di plus either/** plus am 4/6 word gapeach
.di + either/** + i **, you are + In Charge
Ok, that was my last clue for the night. I need to goto bed.
Night Min, sleep well :)
Goodnight to my fellow babblers! I will see you tomorrow.

Good because I wasn't sure how to clue that!
di 8 / 55 - di + either/** + i **, you are + In Charge
It's the "in charge" that I'm stuck on.
Initial letters of in charge
Thanks much, Lizlin and Min....I can't believe that I'm so .....I can't even think of a word for "me".
Tired?
yw
That too, Lizlin.
Sometimes it's so easy to miss what later seems obvious! I kept forgetting about the "g" in the top left-hand corner1
Did you finally get it, Liz?
Yup! Got fw a couple of hours ago - went out for lunch, now around to clue for a while!
I keep forgetting about the difference in time.
it's weird I know - and the world's still in existence here! lol!
How about that? I have some friends who believe this stuff......but they are friends and so it goes.
I have some friends who also are a bit freaked by it all - even though they claim they're not! Hard to believe that some people have evacuated their homes or even contemplated worse because of this!
The media latches onto anything that will sell.
But it's the gullible ones who get caught up by it!
Indeed.
I need to get some things done......don't think I will have time to finish......Thanks for all the help.....see you at the flip.
Bye gapeach :)
hey all, would like NBT today -- Z please?
z + a type of kitchen that has a table and chairs
or z + the opposite of take-out at a restaurant
thanks nrk
hope you are well?
Eh. Just called the gas company because of a slight smell of gas, and it's almost midnight. So now I'm stuck waiting up for their technician. I know it's nothing, and I should have waited till morning. This has happened before. UGH.
oh gee. What do you think it is, if it happened before? a breeze down the ventilation?
not sure, but whenever it happens it seems to go away quickly
do you have a CO detector? or two? One for each floor...
I'm traveling for the holidays tomorrow, and I didn't want to leave it unchecked. Especialy because I'm in a duplex.
good idea
I have 2, but CO detectors don't detect gas. Or at least not always.
that's true.
My grandmother's home in L.A. always smelled of the methane, just slightly. Old home, pilot lights and such. Ours smells a bit occasionally of propane, but our appliances all have electric ignition so no pilot lights to release gas.
my stove is 100 years old, so I have to light it... but the smell was not coming from the kitchen. It was in the living room, which is above the furnace and hot water heater.
usually it's because someone leaned briefly against the stove and moved one of the dials a little.
always best to check it out if it's noticeable.
Loved the funny holiday card you posted on fb with the zombie dolls
thanks :)
good night all.
sweet dreams jerry
well down to 57, that's good enough for me. Sweet dreams all -- see you soon! *poof*
