missing an mi or me 6 -- anyone have it? - have mi 6 x2
I have a me 5/12
nan i have a mi6/45 which i got from morewords -
that's the one -- a clue please ursh?
comes from hebrew, nan. usually spelled with a different vowel in 5th position
that doesn't help me at all just
it is a hebrew word meaning bath and starts like the loudspeaker and uses the next high score tile
it's a toughy to clue without spelling it out....
got it - ty ursh
wow
*!* ta da *!* - good night everyone :)
<-- I need to be jewish
well done, nan!
I think it would help with a lot of the grids, ruru
<-- Jewish by injection
doesn't help with the grids though
nocomment!
by injection?
LOL Arb
the whole mishbukah is here :D
really ru, you of all people need an explanation?
I was afraid to guess?
Is there a "v" in mi6-45? Thannks
hmmm, must be a NY thing... it's not at all uncommon in NY
yes
yes peach right after the k
I am highly entertained by today's chat!

hello all:)
Hi there, Tanja.
Nite all.
morning all
Hello, Sprite.
hiya zooz :)
Hi All Does anyone know what's wrong with Mr P ? She sounds really unhappy :(
sorry mari, no idea
Hello, Mari..I know, Grannyrose..was speaking to her yesterday..And Adree is going to go And see her..but that is all i know.
yerk
Andree*
sorry
Got that one.
now now, no namecalling here :)
I'm blazing through this with one !!
yeah, fast one
Not too bad for me so far..although i still need one at least one from most tiles still.
my love and I had a fight yesterday :( I hate that.
Oh dear..sorry to hear that, Sprite..hope it is just hot air being blown and it has cooled down .
And i do hope you mean as in words.
not sure... haven't seen him since. And he is terribly in the wrong, so I don't want to make the first move now... god I hate fighting so much!
oh... yes in words, lol!
I had contracted someone to repair our roof gutter. Apparently he didn't like that. Which is ok. But he yelled at me, cursed at me and make disparaging remarks to me about it... which is not ok.
He probably knows he was in the wrong..but men hate to admit that.sometimes both not speaking after can make matters blow well out of proportion..maybe when he comes back..make a cup of tea and give it to him..and see if he trys to make up to you.
I agree, Sprite there is no need to make someone feel stupid.
I think you are right. But am not sure I can, yet... am still SO mad! But you are right about how it helps to diffuse the tension before making up.
grin, I DID manage to keep a lock on my sarcastic tongue though... which is a good thing.
I know how you feel , Sprite...but men are stupid stubborn creatures with no sense of tact...once the situation has calmed down you should tell him.that is no way to react to his wife and you expect him never to treat you like that in future times..but to discuss it like mature adults.
Hahaha..love yer dry sarcastic wit, Spritey!
thanks, zooz, that is really good advice. I will take it :)
lol, so does my love... but not when it is directed at him when I am mad... and rightly so. I am happy I didn't give it to the urge. Less escalation of the fight.
(((Sprite)))
:D Aahh I needed that!
I'm afraid sarcastic wit as funny as it is..has its time & place...mores the pity though..lol
*grin* Yeah, better to keep it out of fights.
And to top it all..you come on to babble and there are 5 Ks waving at you saying find us..lol
true. I killed them so dead!
Good for you!
and that makes fireflies. Not a bad grid.
Congrats, Sprite!!
anything I can help with before I go, zooz?
No ifeel i will be fine with this one..but thank you, Sprite.
*hugs* and thanks for the listening ear and the advice. Am gonna do some domestic chores.
Keep smiling, Spritey..there are people who do care :-)
:)
*sigh* finally home. have babbled and have a glass of my favourite drink in my hand. just sitting here, warming my tootsies. lol
{{rosie}} I'm hiding out fro dil and dh, taking a few minutes for myself.
how are your tottdie?
tootsies*
hello, sweetie. good for you!!
tootsies cold. in this weather the metal in my left ankle gets cold, and my foot just about freezes.
{{rosie's foot|}}
or lending you a warm dog
warm dog sounds good, lol. then a ruby hug on foot also very tempting.
i have microwavable 'slippers'. must remember to do them for tonight, at bed-time. last 2 nights, left foot so cold it ached.
our bedroom is always cold, but I get too warm during th night anyway
no microwave here;, living in th 19th C

Of course. Alas, no twinky allowed.
crossy hates twinkes oddly enough
twinkies
I never cared for them either, Crossy. No chocolate!
lol,ladies and their chocolate
20 years of weeded bliss and dating before that and other dates before that and at the top of my list titled "understanding women" #1 is "it has something to do with chocolate" :)
Duh, yeah!
#2 is "if she is not happy, you are not happy" #3 is "the mrs is always right"..after that it gets a bit cloudy
Then you just apologize, take out the trash and hope for the best.
hehe
i often just give a blanket apology in the morning to cover all the mistakes i am sure i will do throughout the day:)
barring that, precious stones seem to work
crossy- i just posted a photo for you in babble community on fb. :-)

no 15 words to go. that was just the last M word
go poodle, go!
You could here a pin drop in the chog.
i must have scared everyone off ;) hi zooz :) how are things today?
Hello, TK...windy & raining today...how is it with you?
hey all, just getting in and almost halfway
Hello, Stidmama :-)
pretty nice today, 23 C and light breeeze, sunny, low humidity... but tomorrow the rains cometh
hi stiddie :)
sounds like a very nice day, Kate -- but are you in the line of those storms they are predicting for later today and tomorrow? or are you anticipating a different system
Sounds nice for today, TK.
we are clouding over, might get a few showers this afternoon and evening. Cooler than "average" but pretty normal for June around here.
Normal is ok i suppose...would love a little heatwave for a few months though.
yes stiddie, we will all be in the path of the storm coming up from illinois, carlee cat will get it more directly crossy and i will be on the northern edge of it probably... supposed to start overnight with the rains and winds picking up in the morning... t-0storms and outside chance of tornadoes
it seems no one is getting a "normal" summer this year. we've all had our fill of flooding!
Oh dear...batten down the hatches, TK :-(
We're supposed to get 2-4" tomorrow, in addition to what we've had so far this month, about 6"
well, I hope you are stocked up on storm supplies then. Seems early for this kind of thing, but a lot this year has been out of sync
for NBT the i on the bottom row please?
Hello, Bichon...I take it you are back home now.
that's a lot of rain for you isn't it, bichon?
in+ tic toc
we have been told to expect more tornadoes and named tropical storms this year... i will be battening down the hatches... maybe even pulling out the tinfoil hat :)
in + musical note
thanks zoom figures it would be a babblet
thanks also poodle!
hi bichon :) will you be remaining british for a while hehehe
Alas, no. Back to being a New Englander
speaking of survival supplies... twinky is too a word n;)
and so is tinky
you say that like it's a bad thing bichon ;)
Add an L, TK and you are there.
It's what my bro called his penis.
ACK!!! body parts talk! that's my cue to go check on the laundry... *grin* see you-all soon *poof*
I used to call it my WI6/42
This is "letting it all hang out"
in my childhood, we had match box cars - small metal cars that could take a lot of punishment... we called them di*** toys... and also same word slightly different spelling..
lol @ zooz.... winky for short hahaha
You got it, TK lol
I loved the matchbox cars.
Hubby was born in Germany and it was called a WEEWEEEHAHN
was ist das?
lol
a water faucet
we used to get them at the PX, they were 25 cents apiece... my brother and i had cases of them...
lmao bichon :-)))
saw some weather chat.... we are getting tornado warnings on our television right now.... ( not watch but warnings ) The condidions are "right" I guess. :-(
water caucets Kate?
i was going to make a comment, but lets see if ruru is out there somewhere..
*faucets
Try & stay safe, Diane.
oh dianne, there is a huge system out your way, be caareful!
25 left bbl
bichon.. the toy cars ;)
Mainly for areas a little south of us... sort of between welki and I.... and very close to the lake where she goes for the weekend.
Am so lucky here that we do not get weather like you do.
bye bichon, see you tomorrow maybe
Hi TraderKate.... I said I'd say hi next time I saw you in the chat !!
hi ya diane :) crazy canucks, all we ever talk about is the weather... so you are north of calgary?
We brits do too..lol
howdy everyone:)) back for my last 39;0
39
Hello, Crossy :-)
howdy,zooz
yes.... just east of Edmonton ( where we had a devastating tornado in 1987 )
Hi crossy
ours was in 1980
howdy,diane
i guess because it is so remarkable... always changing hi crossy :) gonna take 5 and get out the fishing pole for my last 2 words....bbs
Crossy..how did it go yesterday...you said to wish you luck..which i did..but not sure if you saw it :-)
howdy,kate:)
ahhh yes,tests were all clear;))
Excellent news..I am very pleased for you chap.
and they are pretty well done with me.they tossed me on the cured pile:))
Then thats even better news!
Well done, crossy.... such a relief !!!
Well i finished earlier...just popped in to see what was going down lol...i will take my leave and wish you all happy babbling.
tc,zooz:))
bye zooz :)
{{CROSSY}} So happy to hear the news!!!!
ice roast beef is in the oven for a celebration dinner.a nice black angus roast with tatties, onions sweet baby carrots and will make home made gray and yorkie uds;)
ty ((mimi))
nice
puds
i remember that tornado diane, it was awful! EXCELLENT NEWS CROSSY!!! we must open a nice bottle of booze to celebrate ;)
hi mimi :)
Enjoy your feast and I'll dedicate my chili dinner to you tonight! We need our crossy here!
((Kate))
lol, kate.i have had my allowance for the moth.as far as booze goes, the places is sadly dryer than a popcorn fart;)))
month
Haven't checked back in the chog...is anyone here living in the midwest and, if so, how is the storm situation now?
{{{{(((group hugz)))}} babble wouldn't be the same without crossy you're eating chili in that heat mimi????
Yep---fighting fire with fire!
Lots of sour cream with it, though.
I have a big batch of pasta salad I made on Monday but get tired of the same exact thing every meal, so need a change.
my brother lives just outside of vegas and they had a boy scout troupe get lost 3 days ago.it was 108 f the troupe leader died and 4 of the scouts were hospitalized
We may have record-breaking heat today....the record is 114 and they're predicting 113 with the chance of going higher...UGH....I can't even walk to the office to pick up my mail unless I go at 5 in the morning. Hate this.
insane.totally insane
You know, crossy, wouldn't common sense dictate you DO NOT go hiking or do ANYTHING ELSE outdoors in this heat? Are they CRAZY?
i hear you there mimi, i often cook large batches then just reheat, don't have the time to cook from scratch every day otherwise... i didn't hear anything about the scouts crossy, but i did hear that dalton mcginty is resigning today...
you would think so
you do have air conditioning at home though, don't you mimi?
is he?? aww..let me show him the door...
Oh, yes, Kate, and also have a big floor fan on my constantly. That helps spread the cold around as well.
dilema... do i go to more words to find my last 2 fishies, or beg shamelessly and stay in the chog??? hmmm...
your power grid must be pushed to the limit
Due to my thyroid and heart conditions, I cannot tolerate the heat at all....sure living in the right place, huh? Just waiting to move next year into the mountains.
Oh, stay, Kate....DO stay!!
glad to hear that mimi. where are you planning to move to?
I have a one-bedroom apt., crossy, and with the reduced rate and special schedule I adhere to plus a trifold I put in my west-facing window in the afternoon, my electric bill is rarely over $100 a month in the summer..about 40-50 in the winter.
No sure, Kate....maybe still in Arizona but about an hour and a half up in altitude into the mountains on the Mogollon Rim or even into Flagstaff (close to the Grand Canyon). Even considering northern Idaho, though.
that is not bad, mimi.i meant the entire grid as a whole however
I knew that was what you meant, crossy, and, yes, it is stressed to the limit this time of year. Phoenix is mostly using a nuclear power plant called Palo Verde on the outskirts of town.
do you have family close to any of those places mimi?
we have bruce nuclear, but i have no idea what % it gives and our hydro-elecric dams of course
All three of my kids and my ex are here in the Phoenix area but I never see them so why stay here and torture myself? I want a little house with some land so I can have gardens and get a couple of German shepherds again....my poor cats may have strokes, though!
Mimi, northern Idaho...cold in winter, can get hot in summer but not as hot as Arizona. Flagstaff is nice.
think of "my" log home in the snow mimi:))
dawg!!! hi there :) very sensible of you mimi.. and gardens and critters are good for the health and the soul...
if you have a garden and books, you have everything you need
Hi, dawg! I'm looking at Couer d'alene area right now. But may just go to Colorado instead---I'm exploring all options. Economy of housing will be the major factor.
I look at it often, crossy....
I can be a bit of a hermit but I'm happy that way. I have the internet, my Roku, friends on the phone, my animals, my books and just need the gardens and I'll be happy. I find my own mind VERY entertaining...does that sound boastful?
And, of course, with Babble I always have someone interesting and nice to talk to online at any hour.
for those who care to look, this is our dream place mimi and i are referring to.it is 5 minutes from where i am now and is at the base of blue mountain on a wooded acre of and with a hiking/ski/snowshoe trail that passes through it
http://tinyurl.com/kgctrvp
i am a lot like you, mimi.. i like my own company just fine ;) i would probably make a good lighthouse keeper - if i had internet, that is... and lots of books...
lol kate.ask my mrs.i kep saying i was born too late and should of been a light house kepper
This content is currently unavailable
darn
odd,i just tested the tiny url link and it is working
well, just scroll down my wall in fb,you will see it
all the babblers went there at once and crashed the site lol
Since I live alone and am often simply in my apt. with the cats, people have often asked if I get lonely or bored but I actually do not. I've had a VERY full and interesting life and am content with myself....that, to me, is the best achievement in this life.
hehe
with age comes self-knowledge and wisdom :)
my beloved is a book hound like me:)) just loaded 7 more onto her reader for her
I'll forward the cabin picture to you, Kate, right now....
<-----luddite - still prefers the printed page by a long shot
funny, coming up to our 20th now,but when we first moved in together,we had a very unusual problem because along with my dearest, came all her books of course and since we enjoy many of the same authors we found we had doubles of many books like over 50 doubles lol.
for my wife is is a necessity, kate.she has a eye disease and needs to be able to adjust the print size
That's true compatibility, crossy.
should of seen us! poor bookcases were bulging at the seams.we stacked all the doubles and betwen the two of us we voted on which copy was not read to tatters and kept the best one
Though I do love living alone, my best friend of 44 years and I are destined to live together again in a few years. I can see us rocking on the porch, reminiscing and waiting for our meds to kick in!
chyuckling at crossy's dilemma of too many copies of favourite books... i do remember that she can't see much of anyth9ing, hence she does not babble :(
there re still many books with her maiden name writ on the flyleaf sitting on one of the cases
She's the only person I'd even considering living with at this point.
she sees at 20/400 atm,so with the ebook reader she can still enjoy her fvorite books..and crossy makes it his mission to get them
you are lucky to have such a friend mimi, i could not contemplate living with anyone at this point... but hadn't you better get going on the "cat collection" so you fit the stereotype ;)
We've often lamented the fact that we're not lesbians...but, not even in the slightest. Actually, I'm glad because our relationship probably would have ended long ago if that had been the case.
any more like you at home crossy? haven't had a boyfriend in years....
I have 3 cats, Kate...that's it for me. They were all strays.
lol, sorry,my brother is already married off
wouldn't want to live in vegtas anyway ;)
Yes, crossy, doesn't your brother live dangerously close to me? Oh, he's married? Details, details!!!
Kidding, of course!
funny now that i think of itbut both our ladies proposed to us.they did not wait for the guys to eventually figure it out lol
brother lives in henderson NV
well if anyone knows of nice single guy, let me know ;)
The romance ship sailed for me already....sailed, sank, buried under the sand...GONE. I'm done.
<----- willing to relocate, britain high on tthe list of places to live...
Kate, you and I have something else in common. Someone also gifted me with my Babble membership anonymously....I am forever grateful.
hahaha mimi - never married here, close a few times, now think i may be too "settled in my ways" to share a life - unless he was litterally a soulmate. secure enough not to "need" a man to be complete
i have a valid UK passport.let me ask the wife.....sorry,kate ,she said no
i am very grateful too mimi, i wish i knew who it was...
You know that old feminist saying, Kate: A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle.... Well, I don't entirely agree....I ADORED my men...just done now.
what if she came too crossy? i wouldn't want her to be on her own ;)
Ooooh...kinky...
fireworks! stats or clues for anyone i have to go in about 20 minutes... brb
Good for you, Kate! I'm leaving as well....having heart palpitations again today and should lie down for a bit. Bye, crossy, dear...later. HUGS.

Don't blame her at all, crossy!

Sorry, Kate, failed again. You'll have to go to crossy's Facebook. Poof!

ok, added yl4 to the physics babblets, along with a brief anecdote about the person who coined the term (it is the very last thing in my profile)
Hey everybody! My daughter Sarah, 6ft blonde bombshell, currently in Greece, got the results of her final college exams yesterday! Seems she wangled a First Class Hons degree. Not one to crow, I posted a pic on FB of a 2 yr old Sarah, looking like the town rat-catcher, remarking that the urchin in the pic was now a bachelor of Science. Its got loads of likes! :-)!
Congratulations to Sarah
congrats to Soodle and SArah
Vicarious Thanks, Molls! :-)
yay Sarah!!!
Yay soodle!!
Enjoy your Proud Mom moments Soodle. : )
nbt/nbs 57 to go...time for a break...
<------ Awfully proud of whelp!!!
As you should be, soodle!
very nice, soodle!....gotta go...see you all later!
bye, penquis!
hey all
hey sue -- any twisters touch down in your area?
hi, stid! There was one about 20 miles south of us but none right here. So far.
Soodles, time for another official "proud mama look" Not only was your child a darling little one, but she is as smart as anything as an adult! :-)
you're hunkered down in a closet in the basement, RIGHT? *stern worried mama look*
Big storm fired up west of us, came our way, then split in half, one went north and one south of us
haha, not at the moment but am keeping careful watch on the weather maps
and the place to go is the closet under the basement stairs - well protected from everything
hmph. weather maps. *folds arms disapprovingly* *secretly puts air bubble over sue's house and directs all storms to places where no one gets hurt*
NIU has an excellent meteorologist and I'm signed up for all his weather alerts, they have real-time maps on their web site
yeah, but it would take a real scientist to understand it all.... :-P
*giggle*
just be safe, you and frank, okay?
we will. And we are keeping a close eye on the dog!
good thing, too, silly puppy!
a sensible dog would hide under the bed...
she's right here with us. I think the problem yesterday was that we weren't home.
I am glad she was found, such a worry when they go walkabouts without you.
Frank was outside earlier when it was starting to get thundery (in the distance) and she wouldn't stay inside, insisted on coming out to be with him. I think it's a comfort thing.
yes, we were very glad she was found too!! And we won't be leaving the door to the porch open any more when we go out.
hello again...hi stiddy!
hi jill!
hi uusue!
fireworks! Love those 7/68 words!
WooT WooT WooT uusue!
YAY sue!!!
hey hilly, sorry trying to multitask
um, jilly...
LOL...trust me, I have been called much worse this week...
down to 23, will list so I can finish. Need to get to the store and grab some supplies for Matthew. He gets home tonight and will be staying at a new place -- and doesn't know if he even has a pillow or blankets! *sigh*
I have blankets, but he needs a pillow...
He's not staying with you guys!
unless Tom can leave work a little early and stop at the store to get one. *thinking*
no jilly, he can't stay here. We don't have a place for him!
ah...
yes, tom can get a pillow. *relieved look*
Yay! *Props stiddy's feet up again*
exactly. the inconstant weather pushed my head over the edge again. I just took excedrin a little while ago, but the migraine got ahead of me while I took a nap. Seems that being tired mid-day is preceding a lot of the migraines now.
Oh wow, just seeing the forest fire in Colorado Springs...poor cosdem!
yes, and they are just starting the fire season. It's going to be a difficult summer, I think with tornados in the mid-section and fires in the West and ... probably melting sidewalks in the East.
So far so good here BUT way down on water...not enough snow this winter and not enough rain this spring...not looking very good.
I am sorry to hear that Jilly -- we have a decent snowpack thanks to the late rains while it was cold, but the rains also allowed extra growth of understory plants like grasses that will be fuel later on
I hope that it won't be as horrible as it seems it "wants" to be...
going to list, 22 to go and feeling as if I really would like to finish two days in a row.
All I know is summers are so much different now then when I was a child. And if it's really another bad smokey season, we will just have to look into air conditioning
I've listed sometime ago...23 here
hi all. 25 and thinking of listing, but reluctant
yes, summers are hotter here now, and drier earlier than they used to be (most years) and winters are drier except where they are stormier...
hey doren! ((hugs)) school year almost over? I am officially unemployed/on vacation now.
HI dorens!
hi stid. No, I go straight through the 26th... kind of a long year here! but certainly winding down
tough day today, though. mom of three kids in our school died monday morning... wake was this afternoon. sad, but they have a great dad and that helps
I am so sorry, doren -- that is a hard loss for everyone in a school community.
and a long year for you, to be sure -- Grant's last finals are tomorrow.
it truly is a community. small school, but i've taken up a collection and already the staff has contributed over $400. i'm touched by the generosity of our teachers (ad we've been working with no contract all year)
is he a junior this year stid?
yes, and next year will do running start (except for band, he wants to continue with wind ensemble)
how's the house situation now?
demolition on Monday. We'll go out tomorrow and Friday (tom is taking those days off) and move things away from the foundation -- the things we want to keep, and then we can start thinking about starting over.
wow- i'd think that is tough emotionally..?
yes, very.
(((stiddy)))
((((stid))))) the positive slant though is that you will end up with a dream house?
I am hoping it will be easier once the old house is gone. When that awful reminder is gone.
It won't be a dream house, doren, I didn't have the time to really sit down and think about the design and the placement. I didn't have time to push for the things I really want. But it will be a house, and that will be good enough.
The insurance company only helps pay additional rent for what they consider a reasonable time... and originally they thought that would be the end of June. I think we now have assurance that we have shelter through the end of the summer.
yes, we had a fire in my school district... apartments... two of our families lost their homes two or three years back, and it was on the main road and we all had to pass it on our way in and out of school. what a relief it was when they finally took it down
come east and visit new jersey/new york this summer!
you have a place to stay here.. plenty of extra bedrooms.
stid, big big big hugs to you . . . sigh
hello ladies and hugs to everyone!
merci, chere Une
howdy
une will come visit too! and scrabbler can come down and visit with Leslie!
LOL doren! Grant will be marching in the Philadelphia 4th of July parade, but I won't be there...
dorens LOL!!
but thanks so much for your kind offer!
oh, I wish I could come out to play with you-all!
hi bugs. you wanna come too? (oh stid, really? wish you could/would. i'm serious about having a place for you to stay!!)
the fire-sale babble meet up. We could do one of those roaming things like they used to do with dinner parties, and go to Min's Vermont meetup too. :-)
Is it ok if I repeat my good news from yesterday?
<----!!FW!!
(((Bugs))) Mother just called and will be here in a few minutes.
YES phand! GOOD NEWS IS ALWAYS APPROPRIATE!!!!!

hooray for you! that is great news.
WTG....now welcome to my life...
YAY phandmd! Nursing is such a great field and always needs caring people. Well done
Thank you. What kind of nurse are you Jilly
congrats,phan!!
RN, working in outpatient services and surgery center
back in a bit . . .
Do you like working at the surgery center? That is something I was thinking about
I like the hours and no call, love the patient care...might not be the best week to ask..it's been pretty rough
I have worked in almost every area of nursing in my 33 years
How about you?
RN phandmd?
yes RN
can't believe i spent all this time and couldn't find that top left e till just now/.. think my brains are diminishing rapidly
I am almost 50 years old, so I wont get that much experience.
It truly adventageous to work in general nursing. You get so much knowledge and experience.
woo-hoo phand!!!! You are going to be GREAT. You bring so much experience already to the jobs you will have.
LOL, guess not, but hurray for you for graduating and passing!!
yes, you are right, Jilly
down to ten...
Go stiddy...I will hold off family dinner so I can cheer your finishing!

me too, Stidmama
oh, 10 for me
you are fast!
trying to figure out that MI 5 after the type of coat
Good morning / Good evening - 6 left here :)
hey liz! (5)
and that first MI 6 as well.
no luck so far.
mi6 is the term for jewish bath
Not surprisingly I found that one early on!
and add a vowel to the fur coat for the mi5
the mi 6 is a "plural" off a 5 that looks like the "least amount" of something abbreviated
congrats to you phan. my niece/goddaughter just passed the nursing exam as well.
thanks. Had to google that one.
hey peri!
hi stiddy, hi all
I kept wanting to add a Y to that
oh man, do have to get to dinner....early woots to my dear stiddy...congrats to all finishers and will bbl!
Awesome, Peri!
Congrats phan :)

Thanks, Liz, slap me with a fish
ty Liz, I was looking in wrong direction
both welcome
fur doesn't help me for that ER 6...
I tried that er 6 yesterday without the final vowel - hoped it was an alternative spelling - didn't see the real word until this am!
er + mi 4
yours and mi 4
thanks! 4 left, but it is time to eat.
Congrats for when you finish
Two fur wrap words today, somebody call PETA.

usue, how's it going?
hey peri:)
miss my friends here.:((
oh yeah, master chef is on.
rub, season, grill.
hi blue! We are good!
great!!
dodging thunderstorms at the moment - they come at us and then miss. Lots of excitement nearby, none here.
I'm going through the same thing with my brother...
sorry , I was wondering about Frank.
Ah, he is doing ok, just finished chemo. Now waiting for the side effects to wear off. Scan scheduled in a couple of weeks so we are chewing our nails in the meantime.
my brother will be finishing his chemo next week.
good luck to him! What kind of cancer does he have?
esopogeal
sp
ah, that's a tough one. Frank was lucky in that they were able to remove everything surgically (although it had started to spread so he was stage 4, hence the chemo)
he is stage 3
aaargh
it is all very scary. Gentle hugs to you both.
thanks honey
I think we are facebook friends.

Greetings, Babblers.
hi bunny lady!!
OK, blue, I sent you a friend request
hi scrabs!
*wiggling my node and ears*
"Minveryork" was almost in the grid ("Minvelyerk" close enough?)
ha, gremlinn, I missed that!
nrkii is in the grid
did you see the giant german on my profile?
Big hockey game is about to start. Anybody here interested in the Stanley Cup Finals?
so she is, ruru! I missed that too.
Ah, yes, Ruru!
Lots of interest around here, scrabs, but I am not a big hockey fan
Boston go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Giant German? No, maybe I have to be your friend to see it
Patrick Kane is from Buffalo.
Kermit's in the grid.
And "Mini-Me"!
heh
and merkin, which is not accepted for some reason
hi, harry!
I guess it's not scottish enough
hallo sue :)
Not to be confused with 'Murican. "I'm a 'Murican! RED WHITE AND BLUE!"
beautiful pic today , sue
does seem like an odd omission, harry!
thanks, harry, if you go to the site it's actually a movie (it's Mercury, not the moon)
wasn't there a vermicious knid in one of roald dahl's books?
and yet knid isn't good either!
I think the K was pronounced
TWINKY is not accepted
but Yodels would be :) since drakes went out of business
How about "Mervyn"? (Mervyn's was a chain of department stores, until 2008.)
but it is very close to some actual words, scrabs :-)
I bought t-shirts at mervyn's in Gwinnett Cty, GA once.
Aha, I need to look further. TY.
31 to go, and nothing is appearing to me
I have 29 and am stuck
missing 9 Ms!
7 now :)
Try some variations of changing -e endings to -y or -ey
And I should stop typing V words.
Vely vely wise!
velly indeed!
Actually, there is a V word, "vehm", but it's not in Enable apparently. It was a word in some dictionary, I think.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehmic_co\nurt
Minus that \n
neither tinky nor winky is accepted...poor teletubbies
How about eeny, meeny, and miny?
I was surprised that it didn't take meeny, but did take the very similar me5
"meikle" is almost in there.
Scottish word
Also spelled mickle
And at 54/45 I have had enough. I need to shower now as I just returned from mountain biking.
weeny
take care, scrabs!
quitter :D
*takes the ghost that Scrabs gives up on *
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everybody doing today?

Or a good horror movie name.
HarryHood, I'm trying to do a Babble meetup in Vermont in August. I see you live in CT. Would you be able to attend it
min, at that point we'll be living in MA. where in vt?
Massachusetts is still close to Vermont, even closer than CT
** finito ** last word IM 5/12

demented elves and dwarfs gremlinn
yay wv!!!
is the me5/12 a mistake? I can't monkey it

I'm doing it in Burlington.Do you know where that isRed Barn said that she has a cottage near there & she might be there. So far I've had no definite responses so who knows

The first me5/12 is a very common word compared to many others.

ooh just got the mi6/45
great jewish word...
Need a vowel for "eruv" which is Hebrew but not in this dictionary I think.
heh. eruv is hebrew for "loophole"
DONE
WooTWooT WooT harry!!
People kept saying that mi6 sounded like the last name of the Oklahoma City bomber. But the word ends sounding like "ah", doesn't it?
I've usually seen it spelled with an -ah ending
also, in US, people usually accent the first syllable
There's also a spelling with -oth! :)
anyway, hi again all, just told Frank it looked like there was a break in the storm so he could walk the dog - was I wrong!!
Anyway, the bomber's name ends sounding like "ay" so I thought it was kind of confusing.
He got about half way down the block, there was a huge crash of thunder, and it rained like crazy for about 3 minutes. Oh well.
Poor Frank!
I've heard these are "no fooling" storms blowing across the country. We get them tomorrow.
gnight :)
The dog was not happy.
Night, harry!
Niters harry!
Well, if it scared the dog, that probably took care of all the elimination function needs. : D
I would imagine that would scare it out of him!
Oh, hopefully not Frank. Sue's dog is a girl. : D
ooppss
tee hee :-)
and the dog absolutely refused to do anything after that, glued herself to Frank's leg and wanted to go home
but anyway, these storms are very tricky, popping up like so much popcorn - there will be nothing and all of a sudden, blam! Hard to predict.
One time we were staying up in Wisconsin at my uncles and a thunderclap hit...the dog and I dove under the table together...
yes, Frank said he and the dog both jumped about a foot!
I am laughing at the media and all their use of "Derecho" after the one that hit our area unexpectedly last year.
I love watching them safely inside a house!
A derecho is a widespread, long-lived, straight-line windstorm that is associated with a fast-moving band of severe thunderstorms...
Sound about right uusue?
Gotta love Wikipedia : D
They are different than thunderstorms in that they produce incredible wind damage. Similar to hurricane force wind damage.
Weather.com has this banner: Dangerous Severe Weather Event Underway
Hard to get alarmed when they are always posting fluff titled such as "Is This the End of the World?"
I agree Grem. Weather hysterics.
As always...otherwise it's not ratings worthy...
hi all
hello jmc!
my intern is talking about staying over tomorrow night rather than trying to drive to Harrisonburg in the storm. . .
how much of the east coast is it hitting?
Congratulations to Lickety. His site just rolled over to 2,000,000 visitors.
so what so has Kim kardashian.. just not her web-site :D
Ah true. You can't beat the Kartrashians when it comes to hits.
*watches joke sail over Molly's head*
Nothing sailing here, I responded to your joke. I know what kind of hits you were referring to. : P
ah
As for the weather, these storms are supposed to roll from Chicago to DC and up the East Coast.
brb..
not again! I hope it's not too bad
We have had so much rain already that the danger of flooding is as likely as the damage from high winds. And when the ground is saturated, that makes for more trees getting uprooted.
ugh... i'm sorry you guys
it's windy here if that helps :D
Here is a shot of an uprooted 100 year old tree I took after a storm about three years ago. http://tinyurl.com/3m9bkjf
wow
M's Mounted! 7 left
Sadly that is what happens with a combination of wet ground, top heavy trees with old roots and high winds.
E's Eliminated! 6 left
*why do I feel Minver has to dominate her grids *
She was naughty with her M's.
I'll say
that little vixen
I's Implemented! 5 left
LOL minver
Cos update...his internet is down, but he is about an hour south of the fires and okay. He asked me to pass that along.
thanks molly...
thanks, molly! we are still fine but the storms are still popping up all around us, lots of rumbling
that's good
I'm surprised he's giving out personal information :D
but at least it's cooled off! Earlier in the afternoon it was 90 degrees and very humid, yuck!
His exact words were "if anyone whines, send 'em my way" : D
HA
Sue, I saw some photographs of Chicago, looks turbulent.
It's a mess, Molly (sorry, was off doing other things for a while)
It's okay Sue, you can do other things. : D
Just checked my email & got my 1st response regarding Babble meetup. Please spread the word to others if I'm not in chat log. I do not get here often during the week.
Good Min, glad to hear it. I will try to remember to post reminders for you.
Thanks MollyL!
Sorry, back again, unexpected visitor. but she brought me some blackberry starts!
Frank and I might come, min, depends on how he is feeling - we do want to do some traveling once he is better
Good evening everyone. I just remembered that I need to find 2 more words to finish this grid: ri6-21 and ti6-21 please.....thanks
ri is sort of more of the ri5 before it
and the ti is the character in Wizard of Oz needing oil
*pl of him rather
Hello uusue2! How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log
Hello gapeach! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
Thanks much, Jilly. Got the t and still looking for the r.
Hope you do come uusue2! Would love to meet you&Frank
Hi there, Min.
Blackberry starts = blackberry plants?
ga...more of the ri4
yes miss molly
Have it now, Jilly. Thanks so much.
yvw...WooT WooT WooT ga!
Okay, wasn't sure if it was plants or you were just slurring blackberry tarts. : P
Thanks, hon. Going to watch a little TV before the flip.
Just about to have my G&T...slurring will commence!
See you later GA!
Pour the gin! Starts, tarts and other things that end in arts.
LOL!
G&T sounds good! I am having tea. Sigh.
Alcohol consumption often results in something ending in arts that isn't terribly pleasant.....no more elaboration necessary.
Jilly....I want to see you slur your Babble chog words! I'll join you...already had 2 martinis!
hi mimi!
*Spikes Sue's tea*
ah, thanks Molly, I needed that!
((sue))
Sue, I've been worried about my friends in the Cincinnati area and also thinking about smores in Indiana...scary. We have no weather at all here...just heat.
Does anyone have a clue for the re6/30 yet please? Thanks
re6/30 to stitch again with yarn
It's been pretty wild here, mimi, we've been spared but just barely, there was a tornado about 20 miles south of us, and storms are still popping up
re+yarn activity
I know I always say I miss storms but certainly not this kind. Glad you're OK, sue.
Hello mimi!
((Jilly)) Slurring yet?

I pity the poor patient that annoys Nurse Jill tomorrow.
thankfully I am assisting the doc with the scopes, less patient contact...

I think it's going to be a nail biter of a hockey series.
So far quite true!
And if this over ti4 keeps up, there will be a lot of hockey fans calling in sick tomorrow.

Hi jes!
how goes the battle?
simply cannot wait for this week to END!! to hell with calgon...Tanqueray take me away!
hi jes! Lots of thunderstorms around here, and we have one scared puppy!
kennel in a windowless room with music playing :)
thundershirt!
Poor sera!
She's ok as long as she's with us - curled up between our desks right now, Frank and I are both messing around on our computers - but she certainly has no desire to go outside!
There are sometimes that a litterbox for puppies would be nice!
give her cookies every time the thunder rumbles,
Okay...pillow time. Gear up for another day....niters babble land...hugs to Sera!
sleep sweet, jilly
Second over time period in the hockey game. Could be an all nighter folks.
hey all -- here to help with clues if anyone needs?
YAY Min!
hi stid :)
hey jes -- any new kid grievances? *tosses choclits from a safe distance*
my kid is home... :-)
well, he didn't get an answer until quarter after 10, so we very nearly went to bed and defaulted to "no, not going to help you"
other than that, he has been fine
his girlfriend is a twit and refuses to speak to him or generally acknowledge his existence in the presence of his dad though, she'd rather giggle with her other friends and ignore him - this rudeness has consistently happened every time she's been around us, even when we call her on it she keeps ignoring him.
we asked him if he enjoys being ignored and treated rudely, because hey, if that's his kink, whatever, but it would just piss me off.
wow... I am sorry that it's being so hard on you.
hi all
I think he'll get it figured out, though.
hey jmc!
it sucks to watch him be treated like dirt. he deserves better.
hi jmc :)
yes, he does -- and he will get tired of it, I am sure.
how old is the boy? my boy had to go through several really annoying girl friends before he got one that treated him well. . .
he's 16
made me like her even tho she was a conservative republican that believed fox news. . . ;-0
most boys are idiots at 16
stats for the right hand i please and the bottom one for nbt
yeah. her one redeeming quality is physical... he seriously needs to stop thinking with his balls.
bottom i is in6/21
hi all back to do more.
need clues for the i left column please. two words.
haha well that's not going to happen for a while!
also need clue for second y word i have ye 4
it's not as hard as you think... in + another (fishy) word
how long is fishy word?
heavens i don't believe that is a word. . . it is a typo!
that would be 4 letters, to make the in6
cant get it.
the hardest thing you can do as a parent is let them make their own mistakes
if you try you can get it in**** for the flip
Oh yes, another diatribe about idiot males .... women, of course epitomize all that is good in the world always ... how pathetic
not getting it. in and then a word 4 letters.
but why can't he just learn from his dad's mistakes? that'd be SOOO much easier
not in the least o-o. . . my diatribe was about my boy's taste is terrible girl friends!
uhm, what the crap are you talking about, o-o? at no point in the recent chog did anybody but you say anything vaguely resembling a slam against all men.
most boys are idiots at 16
liar
but why can't he just learn from his dad's mistakes?
mkg, in + what a clock measures
so do you know someone who hasn't made mistakes o-o?
right. I have not the patience to deal with crap tonight. I'll be elsewhere until o-o is not trying to pick fights in the chog. laters, lovies.
((jes))
bye jes
you do your bashing
i can bash my boy all i want :p
the poor innocents
good for you
haha
have another drink and go to it
since i only drank ice tea today i will . . . it is hot enough for it. . .
also leaving, but not before pointing out that this is uncharacteristic for o-o, and wondering who has compromised his account... *poof*
good point stid so I will assume this is a troll. . . i am off too
*poof*
