You're welcome Annie. Weekend breakfast is my favorite.
My grandson is also off crutches as of 3 days ago. He broke his foot
scrabs,ditto to what Annie said.
Hello Miss DC, Molly, lurkers.
Scrabs, if you took out a hoe equity loan you could deduct the interest. Win-win :/)
Poor kid, Annie.

Hi jmc

I have a Home Equity loan that is still open though paid off long ago.

Scrabs, I hope you didn't take out a ho equity loan. : D
Thanks Peri
Lol Molly, good morning
bl
Mom, your poor husband. He seems to be going from one thing to another lately. Lucky for him, he has you to take care of him.
No, Molly. It is still "open" but I paid it off well over a year ago. I got a low rate auto loan and will pay it off ASAP.
of it would depend on the different interest rates as to which would be a better idea
*of course
No hos or whores were involved
He has been through the wringer, that's for sure
just saw your new car, scrabby:)) very nice indeed!
I still see a green rabbit..want to see the new car, will refresh
No hos or whores were used in the purchasing of this car. :/)
Hi crossy ((hugs))
huh???
TY, Crossy. I wish you had been with me, but my lawyer sister joined me and we approached the process just as our father would have--cautious, lots of questions, explore all options, be sensible...
I think they are talking about Facebook Annie.
nope, still see a green rabblt...
you will continue to see the green rabbit, since the car is posted in FB and not in babble:)
Annie, we are going to have to get you on facebook
and asked for the carfax!
Annie--look at a black Subaru Crosstrek with black alloy wheels. That's what I will get in a few hours.
very nice indeed, scrabby.looks much nicer than the older subaru designs
ah facebook..maybe, one day. When Liz comes down I will ask her to get me on facebook
If for no other reason than the wonderful babble community
Crosstrek was not on my list AT ALL, just gently used Foresters or Imprezas.
i found the foresters rather boxy
Subarus are nice cars, good luck Scrabbs!
I hate to leave such delightful company but it is a full plate today. (((Hugs))) i wish you all a good day
tc ((mom))
My car was destroyed by Sandy and I leased a new Honda Civic and I love it. Easy to park in the city.
You as well Crossy
an8 what keeps a ship in one place plus 2 letter ending
((Mom)) Have a great Saturday.
My sister asked about the Crosstreks and we discovered a new Crosstrek was nearly the same cost as the 2012 Forester with 7000 miles that I wanted.

Annie, I have a 2005 Forester now and have loved it, thus I knew I wanted another Subaru.
ar8 a pluswhat joins your hand without the w plus t--e modern agallery
good morning all - we have always had a Subaru
Again good luck, scrabbs and happy motoring
Crossy, the used Forester was $22+K and the new Crosstrek was $23+K.
ty again,coolgirl
TY, cool.girl
there is a famous movie dog in the grid today
Asta?
ding ding ding!
thanks, cool
Yay, wvteach! I have loved my Forester and the Crosstrek gets 33 mpg on the highway.
i have worked with the dealer on my new vehicle.we have hammered out the trade in value, and the type of jeep we want with the toys we want and 3 years of payments.now they just have to find a jeep that comes close to what we want amongst their dealership network.the 2013,s are going fast with the $3500.00 rebate and they are not making any more off the line as they are tooling up for the 2014,s which are to be 7k more
I told the guy that I did not want to pay more than $400-450 monthly. I put $2000 down and my Forester with 168K miles was traded in for $1500. I expected just $1000 for it.
thats where i am $ 434.00 a month
have had the outback legacy in the ast and now just (in April) got an Impreza
I drove a 2010 Impreza and LOVED it, but it is too small to carry my kayak and canoe.
lol,i also measured for a kayak and a canoe
but i have a nifty roll cage;))
it is small - still have the "old" legacy which holds much more in the back
My kayak is 12 feet long and my one-man canoe is 10 feet long.
Cool, Crossy.
i will show you pics once we can officially close the deal
it will be the 2013 jeep sahara edition
hehe,i can pull the doors off and hose it out if need be;)
I must very soon clean out my Forester and remove the kayak rack.

thnx scrabs
came back just in time, thanks for the free clue
stats for the 9,s please?
First column H stats please?
Hi, all. When I was a teenager (mid 60's) my father had a Buick LeSabre station wagon that was roomy enough in back to carry his outboard boat. That's the car I took my driving test in and I was really sweating having to parallel park that thing....but I did it just fine.
the ri8 you put a r on your finger plus he t--s a car but different vowel
I learned to drive with a Oldsmobile Sportwagon stationwagon. It was a small schoolbus.
lol, mimi my test care was a 73 buick skylark.thing was a bloody boat
i clued to of the first columh words one is the he9 plus he6 mans name and measure of land
cool i dont understand the 2nd part of that clue?
I learned to drive with an Oldsmobile also
What is done to the car, cool??
you t-- a line plus s on end difficult to clue the vowel is the first one in alphabet
crossy is lost.got the mans name anyways ty
My first car was a '67 Buick skylark that my father custom ordered for me. Loved that car. Had it for 6 years. They made them to last then. That car just kept on going even though I NEVER changed the oil once I was out on my own away from home. My feeling then (stupid girl) was that if you kept adding new oil, the old oil would eventually be gone or else you wouldn't be able to add the new oil.....I can hear you groaning now, crossy.
you dont pull acar you t-it change voweladds
acre isnt in the grid
omg,mimi!
Mimi, hahahahaha
sorry my comp playing up you dont pull acar you t-- itplus s but the vowelis different
When my Dad bought us a second car it was a Buick Skylark, so I drove that sometimes.
O stats?
Mimi - I did the same thing with my ford escort... I think I changed the oil twice in 10 years. never had a problem with that car, it ran great at 10 years! (then it was totalled, so had to die)
On day I couldn't get the car started so AAA came out and the guy knocked the crud off the battery cables and then it started right up. He asked when I last serviced the car and when I started with "19.." he didn't even let me finish! Later when I started working with the pit crew at a racetrack I saw the error of my ways.
I got it, cool, thanks
think measure of land or there used to ba childrens program called hec---- house
my uncle had a savings and loan, so my first car was a white repo station wagon! LOL
always remember ladies,a oil filter not only holds a quart of dirty oil,but as it ages it traps impurities and other debris that can harm your engine.change that oil every 4000m or 5000k
Hi kje. 6am on west coast, so you are up early
yw
Hi Une
Me, too, Scrabbler...but already hot here.
?
arim
sigh. yes. despite being up until after midnight last night... nap definitely in my future today
The oil of the car is like our blood, so clean oil is needed
i change mine ever 4000k
I change oil every 3 thousand miles
yaa for annie!! nice clean oil:))
mimi
ino
Well, I certainly know better now. My point really is that they made cars to last back then. Guess they realized they could make more money if they made them to break down instead...and funny how they do so right as the warranty ends.
the car guys (click and clack) actually had an argument about this on air once... prob not as necessary to change oil that regularly as manufactures suggest. and like I said, the car ran sans any problems for over 10 years until it was in an accident and totalled... no problems, not a day in teh garage
third column O and the 5th column corner A help please?
I do a lot of stop and go driving and short trips also so that's why I change so often. Lots of city driving too
good idea, annie, all the heat and friction from lots of stop and go breaks oil down faster
i got the o never mind
OR 6/18
the viscocity goes to hell
ar 4/4--operatic solo
I change the oil every 4000-5000 miles
ty annie
could i get the stats only for the 9,s please

ty annie
stats for either of the 9s please for nbs?

I know it can't be coincidence that every single mechanical device one buys now breaks down right as the warranty ends. My air conditioners in my former house, my computer, etc.

Morning All
hi hego :)
howdy,hego
It's already 93 degrees here but is overcast. Not expecting rain but at least it looks like rain...I'll have to settle for that!
Morning, hego!
sorry, coolgirl, but i was lost on your clues.it is me,not you

thnx annie

Buon giorno, Hego.
the boys nameis the same as measure ofland
ciao Scrabs and grats on the new vehicle!
BTW, the company I just went to work for is based in Lake Havasu where it is generally 10 degrees hotter than Phoenix and they have had record rain and flooding this year! Don't know why it can't just move a bit southeast for us!
i do not know how you stand it there, mimi!
Molto grazie, Hego.
and did i hear that california has a heat alert for this weeked? 118f??!!!!
you have alotof sta---if you are fit plus you a-e all thefood
not a measure of land... it is a bully
prego, signora
hectare is land
Measure of land = he**are
Us, too, crossy. We're expected to break heat records for the date all weekend. I remember the day it was 122 here. If you went out at all it was actually a bit difficult to breathe.
thanks, cool
that is insane,mimi
I am watching the news, Mimi, and read the newspaper, about your heat wave. Oppressive.
think i am moving further north, just to be safe

though this summer has been nice for us so far
I think you're safe Crossy.
we have had most of our temps nice and comfy in the 70,s
So glad I have my groceries delivered. I'd barely make it home before the frozen stuff melted otherwise. Safeway has nice refrigerated/freezer trucks and bring everything right up the stairs and into my kitchen. Have an order coming on the 4th---couldn't believe they deliver on a holiday with no extra charge.
in the Bay area today, temps vary by over 35 degrees as you drive within a 30-40 minute radius.... nuts
that is def handy,mimi
thankfully I am in the 60 range, not the 100 range section
that is good,kje
It only costs $6.95 for the deliver and no tipping allowed..totally worth it.
Hoping next year I'll be right there with you, kje!
that grocery delivery is a god send for many of our older patients... allows them to continue living at home!
I may look into that.
saw the new much ado about nothing last night
how was it?
worth seeing
can't hold a candle to kenneth branaugh's version, but was interesting
It's a good thing for anyone, really, especially here in the heat. Think about the hassle it saves mothers with small children, not to mention the handicapped, etc., or just anyone. And if you purchase one of the special items, delivery is free! Plus since you order online, you know exactly how much you're spending so it helps you stay on your budget....no impulse buying.
Hey! chog is in the grid.
it is set in modern day, but still uses original script language, filmed over 1 weekend at the director's house I believe... interesting interpretation
Who is in the new one, kje?
no big name stars that I really know.. familiar faces though I couldn't name them for you
During the summer between my eighth grade and freshmen years I read loads of Shakespeare and loved it. My peers thought I was nuts!
I always think ming is a waord.
Im putting it on my must see list
word, even.
damn... hiccups
It is a word in some word games, hego.
aha
So is fest.
I always enter that one, every time.
So do I...what is WRONG with us?!!
: )
Anal retentive loves company.......
lolol
it's an itch that won't stop until it is entered... same with phantoms
So many phantoms....so little time.
I've also learned to enter proper nouns... so many are accepted even though I do not know their meaning outside of a name... like Ho5's heroes for example
Must stop now and go empty my old Forester! Then off to the dealership.
Have a wonderful time with the new car, Scrabbler!
congrats scrab! the new car looks fab!
good luck!!
love the color!!
yaaa for scrabby!!
that is awsome, mimi.so you get a catalogue with item numbers of all the products from the grocer?
Everybody is getting new things. My young daughter bought a house yesterday.
wow
Nope...it's all online. Just pull up the site and "shop by aisle." Anything I can't find that way, just enter into their search and up it comes...fabulous. Though everything they offer in the store isn't available online for delivery but most of it is.
seems everyone is,bzzbea, but i can tell you from this end that the previous decade was long, hard, and painful and barren of any new things
ho5 is a house i think
It even enters their discount coupons and I can use manufacturer's coupons as well.
wow bzzn big news!
Hi JMC
Yes, I am so happy for her.
great news Bea
Did she buy it herself or with a family, Bea?
I only live 4 blocks from the safeway. the boy was going to buy me a cheap bicycle to take there but the deal fell through. . .
And soon my older daughter will be birthing her baby. Birthing babies and buying houses...
Bea, Congratulations. Many happy years for your daughter in her new house.
what an exciting time bea
busy family there bzzn
Have them deliver, jmc---you'll be so happy. Just go to safeway.com...it's all there.
wish we had something like that
That's a lot to handle though. New house and baby.
Thanks, all. I guess I did something right as a single mother.
nah i need the exercise. . . and i want to pick out my veggies myself. . .
It's possible they might not delivery in your area, though...you'll need to check on the site.
i loathe grocery shopping
i will so do it when i can't walk the 4 blocks though. . .
I like food shopping but not the other stuff.
sounds like exciting times,bzz!
I hate any kind of shopping, crossy. Prefer to do it all online if possible.
(different daughters hego)
paper and cleaning products. I buy those in bulk.
my beloved is a marketing mans dream.she is a impulse shopper at it's finest;((
oh good JMC, I missed that.
okay speaking of veggies i think i will go pick up the railroad ties i couldn't find last night in the rain and pick some cucs from my garden. . . see you all later
tc,jmc

Have a good Saturday, jmc!

bye all. . . 264 left! . . . *poof*
Hey, I'm getting the hang of the new job's dictation....really went to town yesterday and made a good chunk of change. Working every day so I can get that money piled up. Will be working later today and also tomorrow.
So the dr. is understandable?
Of course, haven't had to do the alien chipmunk yet...that day is coming.....my speed will no doubt slow WAY down.
yaa for mimi!! i will put a reserved sign on a nice log home here in the hills for you
Answers the question...
Oh, I sooo wish, crossy!
lol@ alien chipmunk
Had lots of easy basically negative exams yesterday that went really fast. Love that because I make the same amount of money whether they're easy or difficult, long or short reports....work on a per page basis for compensation.
can you just record the dictation then play it back at your leisure at your desk till you can translate it?
So many a's ...groan.....
the t,s have me running scared, hego
Wadding through them too, hego.
I can play it at different speeds but once I pull the job up, must transcribe the report. Luckily, if I get stuck, my boss can help since she's used to the chipmunk now.
grooooan........
lol, maybe you can play it back at 33 1/3 instead of 45 rpm
Feel odd having my reports reviewed at first since I've done this for 30 years but every company has a different setup that must be learned and different drs. to get used to. The problem with playing them slower, crossy, is that they can be really indecipherable then as their voices then sound like slow motion, if that makes sense.
,i get you ,mimi.was just playing around:))
what you could do is keep a collection of the ones that are the worst and play them back for him/her might entice them to speak more clearly
I know I just started, but am really liking my boss and her "assistant," who is her fiance. They are seeming like really great people....I may have lucked out. My last boss was a real jerk and loved supervising women because he felt he could control them....very condescending, too.
They've tried talking to her about her dictation but apparently losing 3 other transcription services wasn't enough incentive. To me, any errors she gets on reports is HER problem....and potentially HER lawsuit.
The funny thing is, my boss says she talks the same way on the phone in regular conversation!
I had when "ing" is in the grid and you can't pair it with much! Such a tease!
the big O is a phantom today
had to look twice
of course, I had to try it
Oh, yeah, kje...I have a vague recollection of those!
and had to try chog too
Just realized I should be in the PB....the precipitation is in the grid.
i tried chog also
i knew before i typed it that it wouldn't be there... still did it

And so is the choo choo.

that reminds me.it has been about a year and am feeling the need to meander through Mr Kings dark tower series again
after i finish the other 30 or so books that have been waiting for me;)
after i finsih the two i am reading now lol
what are you reading
How many times have you read Dark Tower?
i have read all the books in the dark tower series inluding the wind through the keyhole which many feel is dark tower 3.5 ,about three times
i am readina book called lost in shagri-la atm
wow
weird how he stuck in Keyhole afterwards
i have read sho-gun at least 4 times.i often revisit my favorites
loved sho gun
I loved sho-gun, except for the end
have you read or seen king rat
losk in shangri-la btw,is written by mitchell zuckoff.it is historical non-fiction and worth one read, but i think i will not revisit it
yes,i own the king rat novel
another good one by james clavell
WW II has so many odd side shows
it did indeed
lost in shangri-la is about a plain lost in guam in ww2
plane
like i say, good for one read, but by no means riveting
ah the lot plains of guam, you can wonder for seconds, lol
yes,yes
then after that it will be on to the oregon files with clive cussler for some high energy novels that ooze brio;)
is that the one with headhunters
it is,joso
found that half way through i am just reading to finish it
which is a pain when you know you have tons of good novels just waiting in the wings for you
just when I think I won't hear about any other weird thing of ww II something like that pops up
checking back it is the numa files series i have up next from cussler and not the oregon files
it will contine for quite a while, joso.in the uk and germany, farmers are still plowing up 500 pound bunker buster bombs in the corn fields
I've recently discovered rebus so am ripping through rankin. love finding a good author
nothing finer than a good book from a freshly discovered author
last year i surprised myself with the discovery of Robin Hobb and her very interesting "liveship" series
yes, but that's not unexpected, discovering Hitler went out of his way to save the jewish doctor who tended his mother at her deathbed is.
schindler of course is a famous twist on events in the war
and the cold water experiment tortures carried out by the naziz on pow,s
but i will not depress the chog with the myrrad of things done in that area
yes, things like that. Brits cannoeing up french rivers to sabotage ships, Pows building a glider to escape with.
and the bunker buster bombing runs
and our very own first nations soldier speaking in the native tongue to cunfuse the enemy when sending critical information
there is a movie on that one
water skimming bombs, brit mini subs hunting the turpitz
the code talkers i think it is called
good film
the gliders are another interesting facet
japanese soldiers still fighting the war 30 years after the fact
yup
china in civil war while at war with japan
my grandmother after my grandpas death, going up into the attic to store some of his clothes, only to find that amongst the war trophys he brought home,2 of the items were live german hand grenages

I have a WWI bayonet from the trenches in my pantry doesn't everybody?

i have one as well, roundbarn.it is french.very good steel
and youse guys aren't reading my good books--but Nef and uusue are.
I wouldn't thump them, otherwise a good idea
i promise i will get to your books, roundbarn
old ordnance can self start
and i saw your picture, roundbarn.you look just like my grammy used to look:)) cept she was plumper and about 4 foot 10
i know it can, joso, grammy did not lol
then tell amazon you like them whether you do or not but you will like them they are different
what are you good books nef?
do you have a amazon link for your books you can share, roundbarn?
oops, I mean roundbarn
and now I have to get to work, a chapter on how my g'fther in 1915 could go anywhere in Wis by train and stay at the local hotel(fetched by a station wagon) but first I wrote a poem abt babble which I'll use for my newspaper job this week--usually I lurk and watch you all
I have a couple of websites-www roundbarnstories--also (new) beloitcity press--a story there, how come, and then with my name jacquelinejackson I started the current books when i was 15--just now finishing them--if they're ever finished
crossy, I have an amazon acct so you can pull up my book and say you like. every sentence counts with them.
cheaper if you buy from me I'd send crossy a comp for all the entertainment value he supplies
I seem to be a conversation stopper--I'll send my babble poem to Nef and get to work.
You would think offering to send a free book would be a conversation stimulant. : D
ah sorry, went off to look up RB's books
and I just looked up ri7, a game of marbles.. didn't have the opportunity to use "quango" vs my Scrabble buddy, but maybe this newbie will come in handy.. hi all, nice to have a larger grid on a weekend
ahoy aloy!
clue for ri7?
hiya, kje!
why kje? have you lost your marbles?
I know where they are.... but they do roll around a bit ; )
start off with the circle and then add .. lemme think
LOL
hurray contact! Molly, I've been admiring you--I'd send you one too if I had an address--
what nan says when she finishes a grid, ** da!, finish with *hatever letter has five points?
ty aloy!
hi ruru and RoundBarn
phew, glad you got it, tuff one for me to clue
biscuits a bakin'
it felt like a carb kind of morning
well folks you can send me to the pb several times over but here's the poem:
had marmalade on ww toast.. been ages since marmalade
well, missed it:
word poem #6 this babble game I play on the net sorta like boggle isn't a complete waste of time yesterday I learned “isohyets†are lines on a map that connect areas of equal rainfall I see that useful in conversation I already knew “oriel†a window but it pleasantly recalled st chapelle another “feces†familiar enough yet a reminder of our common humanity broader though for all creatures defecate even bacteria the weight of an old bed pillow is said to be half dust mite excretia sobering thought maybe no one will want to talk to me today don’t know I even want my own company let’s see what the current words net ah here are agora aristate gnat and gnaws hock hogan and this oddity ringtaws accepted in the grid but the babble dictionary gives no hint
lol, nice, RoundBarn! had to go get my Scrabble dictionary for that ri7.. waving to RB in the PB!
*Runs to put bed pillows in the dryer*
I added at the end, as for taws, doesn't anybody play tops and marbles anymore
played marbles recently with my gdaughter
i don't get the ri 7 clue
haven't played with a top lately tho
well, ruru, just read RB's poem
ri4 + sounds like the shark movie
good clue, Molly
Plus it's right in Roundbarn's poem
ru, no clue, I actually said it in the poem
Once, twice, three times reminded, and we tooooollld Ru.
jacks, either--I try to teach my grandkids to play jacks --they can hit all the buttons on their electronic toys but cn't handle sheep-over-the-r=fence
YES.. jacks, played those too .. every kid must play jacks!
<---Loves Jacks. And pick up sticks.
I have never ever heard that word
pick up sticks teaches so much, the patient, methodical approach
*ties fingers*
this is fun but now I really gotta get to work, get my grandpa out of 42 below zero in Barron Wis--I could look up eather records and see if he was correct--
happy writing, RB
biscuits, butter, honey, coffee... life is good
yummmm ..
phantom: stagnate
ya know how they make up entries in encyclopedias to catch plagiarists, I wonder if dictionaries do the same?
I wish I knew as much about my grandparents as Roundbarn does.
what? falsities can be found in an encyclopedia? horrors!
Yes, but not falsies.
lol Molly
lol.love your babble poem, roundbarn.i am also glad i am entertaining:))))
*looks down at his crummy crumpets and wishes they were bisquits*
home made biscuits... hot from the oven... carb overload
Ru has breakfast envy again.
ya gotta do it sometimes, your body screams for them
and because this is babble, you only get the pg rated version of crossy.the unrated version is much more interesting
st7 after the lone male elk?
nooks and crannies mmmmmm
energy to keep going, kje..
What you have that gets you through the race.
did she have the st7 to complete the marathon?
ty
or in bed :D
There is only one st7

yvw, crossy and kje.. have to be of a certain age I guess to know that
i remember the commericals
is it still on the market? geez, it had so much sugar in it
it is.my beloved love the stuff
we of course drank it.. cheap alternative to orange juice
sheesh... I missed the start to every fairy tale... fish me
sticky if you spilled it
here we had freshie as kids aka koolaid
oh yes, and popsicles made of it in the summer
and home made popsicles with those tupperware popcicle makers
and jello with fruit suspended in it
yes! memories..
and birthday cakes baked with coins wrapped in wax paper inside of it
almost choked to death on 2 weeks allowance hehe
nope, never had those cakes
my mom would tell me I had to drink it if I wanted to become an astronaut
gotta get your vitamin C
never baked coins in a cake... that seems dangerous
could have sworn "tantra" was here, but.. phantom
and dirty too
we did lots of dangerous things at that time.every adult smoked.the atmosphere inside a typical 60,s home was on par with the surface of saturn
my mom was a health food nut. we had tang a couple times until she decided it had way too much sugar... then it was gone
pb for kje..
maybe there is some in the pb fridge
tantra, the big O, both phantoms today ; )
wonder how it tastes with vodka
that sounds kind of disgusting
ewww!
although, I bet many a person did it in the 60s
yes, on second thought, why waste good vodka
i am old enough now that i remember when vodka only came in vodka flavour:))
ha! yep... even in google
http://www.idrink.com/v.html?id=48185
and apparently it is making a comeback along with red bull mixers
vodka really doesn't have flavor
http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink1p52o6\n0.html
thats the idea,ruru;))
I keep sampling to find it, ruru.. haven't found it yet
but I'll keep on researching
ha aloy!
<--- not a hard liquor drinker
i like cocktails... when done well, they are sublime
amazing, kje.. a drink finder?
ahh my adult beverage must pass this criteria: it must be over 40% alc/vol,it must ignite easily,it must be able to sterilize surfaces and lastly it must be able ro run an internal combustion engine at need
just googled vodka and tang, aloy... lots of hits... we are not so creative as we think ; )
how do you think they walked on the moon kje ?D
lol crossy, think my rum and cokes would fail your criteria
kje blew the chog out!!!
grid, what grid?
tiny url my friends, because not only does it pop the chog,it adds a bunch of back slashes and n,s to the url
Vodka and ta4 doesn't sound anymore appealing than vodka and Wyler's lemonade
Nice try Cross but no one seems to remember the tiny url thing.
they didn't walk on the moon, ru!!! it was all a huge coverup!
opened another window, crossy.. i can't copy/paste a url on my Lickety screen
i think drg is using the server he spilled his gin and tonic on
that is correct, kje.. a ruse to coverup the expense
what?
lol
everyone knows it
It doesn't matter what window you use. The \n will mess up the url.
actually it was all a smoike screen to take attention away from the kennedy magic bullet
ah, that too crossy
which in turn was something to distract us from roswell
yeah that Lee Harvey Oswald was one gifted shooter... NOT
Ah conspiracy theory.
get out the foil hats!!!
ok.. going to have to list.. I'm not getting too far along here
Good afternoon, everyone. I'm confused. I thought Elvis shot JFK after he walked on the moon.
No one with a normal vocabulary would.
my brother is a huge conspiracy therosit.i drive him nuts by saying"it does not matter anyways since we are all nothing but a worm feast in 100 years.then i give him the link to carl sagans pale blue dot video
Judi is right! Judi is right!

Just ignore that static on your phone line, Judi.

ahh yeas, the ole double click when you pick up...
Crap. Off I go.

not that it matters much since the military satelites can count the dimples on your butt while holing a 90 mile orbit
ty
holding
pretty sure they have no interest in looking at butt dimpling... I know I don't ; )
I would much prefer to think that the US govt. is counting the dimples on our enemies butts.
hehe
Depends on whose butt we're talking about
we can start with kylie monogues (sp) butt.she has a tush you can crack eggs on;)))
ouch!!...as i rub the top of my head,my beloved better half bids you all a good afternoon
lol, ciao crossy
good afternoon mrs crossy
I know which direction Kim Kardashian's butt was pointing when she conceived .. she named the kid after that

I think all the rain we had did the trick

I had someone chew me out for calling that a vegetable. "It's a starch" she said, in her snotty Adkin's voice.
back, fun poem
yeah, i knew it was something else . . . like tomatos are fruit
*Atkins
e + the beatle drummer, kje
damn... should have gotten that, ty aloy
is anybody else watching the Tour de France?
tx aloy!
Co4 is a vegetable. It may be a starchy one, but it's a vegetable.
yw .. n word
It's a vegetable as far a I'm concerned, but, unfortunately, you can't get it here
ok, makes sense -- it's called "vegetable oil,' not starch oil :-)
ruby, am watching a bit of Wimbledon -- have it running in the background :-)
No one grows it in France? Horrors.
they grow a coarse kind that's fed to farm animals
yeah to geese
The co4 is also being used for fuel.
and ducks for foie gras
21 A's left... ugh
Today and the next two it's in Corsica which is one of my favorite places, except it is very built up since '78 when I was there :(
I hate this grid
hate is such an ugly word... poor grid
I grew up in NY and LI and you could get it fresh-picked. I can't imagine where it comes fromhere, but it's hard as a rock. They don't even feed it to catte which is probably why the beef is so poor
cows shouldn't eat corn
I could not live somewhere that there was not fresh corn in the summer.
i think you can grow corn pretty much anywhere, ruby
I thought that's what they give them in feed lots. Duh me
gnist
I tried it my first summer, but nothing happened
Gnash
grow some in your garden, ruby... I can send you seeds if you need them!
judi is desperate .. judi is desperate
You have to plant a lot of it so it cross pollinates.
gnish, a potato dumpling?
corn dont grow too well here in gardens but they grow it to feed farm animals in the winter - turn it into sillage
ahah, wouldn't work in my little potager
they do feed it to cows in feed lots, but it is not a natural diet for them... thus the need for antibiotics and the problems with digestion
Sorry.
lololol
Gnism...gnashing your teeth while...
lol, Molly
gnist: fog as thick as gnocchi
hahah
I hav grown some in my garden but they like to be quite close together and need loads of sun - which we dont oftern get - so you get uneven growth
Sorry, meant gnasm
gnasm.. is gritting your teeth during...
we knew what you meant, sort of a portmanteau word
just as bad Molly!
I still got the gist of it
we had gnist here yesterday... then it burnt off
gist of the gnist
Again, you have to put in several rows of corn for it to grow properly.
clue for the tr8? please
yeah.. I found a word!!!!!!!!
well my lovelies I am off again soon - being taken out for dinner by lovely hubby. I have been watching a bit of Glasto - quite good - Mumford and Sons are c,

You will have to settle for ogasm.
Morning everyone ^^
ogasm is what peewee herman has
morning woofie
mornin ru!
I was thinking more along the lines of a political joke, but will refrain.
awww
singate should be a word too.. god knows a lot of people pass through it
I'm sure there are several in Dante's Inferno.

am7...pertains to the birthing fluid
I think it's a Tour pain; he feels neglected
ty moonwoof
then you should apply a dose of conversation and maybe a hug, stat!
these are the A's that never end... they just go on and on my friend... some people started babbling not knowing what grid they drew... and they'll just keep on babbling forever cus it's true... these are the A's that never end...
ty
Oh, the old "I need attention" ploy.
Happily, when my husband does that, it usually only takes a diversionary box of cheesits. He rarely needs attention, so much as wants to be fed.
He's much like a terrier, that way
which looks much worse, now that Ive typed it, than it is in reality.
I missed so many plurals, last night =\
ho5/16 pls
Sounds like the to5 you use for salad
HO 5/16 - rhymes with boys name - pl for HO 6
there are two, so I'lll assume you have the plural and say it's a misspelled Starsky and Ho***
need last ho 5/16
The last ho5/16 sounds like tape you use for wrapping
that is the last one.
There are three ho5/16
oh youre right, ty molly. I missed the shelter
fireflies! yea!
congrats moon
ty!
have a good afternoon, excellent people, and I'll cya tomorrow

Three prefix + not city, not county but....
thanks molly! That gives me nbs. (We have a tollway here with that name)
okay i get that clue!
We have all kinds of things here named that. Not sure why they like to associate in groups of threes. : )
Ah, there is our happy hockey fan.
yes, very happy hockey fan!
For this one it's Indiana, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Chicago is odd for giving its interstates names and not using the numbers; can be very confusing to a newcomeer.
*newcomer
I've temporarily changed my pic to show y'all the results of our shopping trip for a prom dress. Neither pink nor bling, but rather elegant!
Here it's one of those oddball combo names, DelMarVa.
it
it's lovely, soodle! (a bit sideways, though)
Gorgeous Soodle. Twisted my neck looking at it though.
Dunno how that happened.
I did one hand handstand and the dress is lovely
here for a short time to get a few more words in
What happened to sparkly?
hi annie! I am impressed with your one hand handstand!
me too, thanks! At one time I could have done it
Lol Annie.
not me, never had the balance
I think pink is too little girly for the prom. It's a coming of age event, so the dress should be a more mature color.
Well, she's delighted with her choice. And I'm delighted we got it in one day, so everybody's happy. :-)
That is the important thing, that she likes it.
So Soodle, what is the plan when number 3 flies the coop Are you going to take in young, male borders?
Yup, Molls. 7 of them. I shall call them Monday, Tuesday......
Perfect!
LOL
I love it, soodle! :-)
It's easier that way. You don't have to fuss with all the dating/relationship stuff.
New adult fairy tale: Soodle And The Seven Studs
And I shall make sure they all drink 7 Up! Wicked Soodle smirk!
7 & 7
You may want to ply them with liquor a little.
7 UP. UP!!!! Aka Snow-White's delight!
<------ Soodle at her tone-lowering best!
you are very bad, soodle :0(
that was supposed to be :-)
silly fingers
Lol! Sure, I might as well dream here as in bed!

It's very pretty. Strapless deep blue satin.

Hello all. Blue sunny skies here in the great Northwest temps in high 70s. Murphy is laying on the hardwood floors in search of coolness.
hi stidge - haven't seen stidma for a while - has construction started on the house yet?
I imagine all the rain slowed them down somewhat
it is just beautiful here today. but the week ahead holds more rai4
it is hot and muggy here, despite having had a thunder shower this am
my wash dried in about an hour and a half.
Nothing like laundry dried in the fresh air.
sheets and towels . the best.
at least, to me, because my mother did them that way
Still taking cement away from the other dwelling. They are close to starting but still talking about choices. Wise to get lots of that done before getting a bid that needs constant revising.
are you bulding a new hoise, gmere?
true - changes after the deal is done are expensive!
No, stidmama is building a new house, TO.
oh yes, i did not realize that you were talking about that.
for some reason i never seem to think that you live near them.
We are about 10 minutes away and we are closer to town.
good to hear they have begun. here there is a house that has not been rebuilt and their fire was mid december 2011
We are going to be so happy when the rebuild is finished. I don't think the term house-warming is going to be appreciated under the circumstances though.
bet not. is there an EDC?
finally finished the A's, hello again
What is EDC?
estimated completion date?
am 6, please?
hi annie. i was supposed to go to connolly's last saturday but i bailed at the last minute.

CH + vowel + what goes on a finger when married.
i just carmelized leeks, ru, and was looking for you .. not having done it in a while. but didn't see you on line so i did them without your expertise
Yes Peach. That is what the pins and the tails are for.
i know it's not a word. but when i saw there was a ch7 (not listed yet) i played around and that's where it was
You see? Its MollyL who incites me to drag the chog down to gutter level! I make a less than politically correct remark in reply to her, then she vamooses, leaving me to pick up the pieces.....
i need to run out to buy a new pair of glasses. got flex account at work and stupidly didn't pay attention to receipts, etc. Now tomorrow is june 30th and if I haven't spent it i'll lose it. need a receipt for big bucks. so i'll get some gorgeous glasses. back later
Good Soodle, you're catching on. I am the sole cause of everything that is wrong with Babble chat.
see you later doren
Bye, Dorens..choose wisely.
Darn, I was hoping we were going to get an installment of "Cooking With Ruru"
we'll keep an eye out for you doren :D

Teehee..bless you.
Off with her head, I say! ( sorry - The Tudors is my current Netflix obsession).

three letter word for round wheel with teeth for bicycle chain + consonant+ PT to eat.
Thanks much, Molly and zooz.

Good going, Teach :-)

Aha, there is a word in the grid with an ism ending

musical notes from the mouth + letter

Is that the EC7/40, Bichon?
yw.
phantom: asthma
hi all
Hello, Peri :-)
I am up from a very long nap, 4+ hours.
I like naps.
I am a very good napper but that was a long one for me and I am still tired :(
You must of needed it for it to be that long.
and I still have 137 words to find
yes, I did some errands even tho I had a headache, came home, had lunch and laid down and that was it
I may even go to bed early after a light dinner
once I finish the grid of course
evening all!
will have to list soon, hope lickety is up. hi dan and miss 2 bit
Sometimes a nice early night is what the body & mind neds...especially if you are having headaches.
Hello, Dan2bit.
I rarely get headaches but I think this one is allergy related
another phantom: cornea
not to offend, but I think I've tried orgasm at least 4 times now :-)
Teehee
haha, dan. not offended.
Oh great..now i keep seeing it.
Hi Dan. I'm just loving your FB pics of Maggie. The Marine Biologist one really tickled me pink.
she had a great time at the pool today with her cousins
bbl.. bye
Bye for now, Ru.
I know I'm going to sound like Old Mother Hubbard, but, cherish these moments , Dan. You will blink, and next thing you know, you are buying Prom dresses! Trust me!
yes it already seems so fast. I blinked, and she turned 3
Enjoy! Carpe Diem!
hi everyone
and hi from me too
I am now entering the Land of the Endless T's
Hello Andree & Annie. Tha
Hi Soodle
me too
Happy birthday to miss2bit
i keep seeing torch
and I keep seeing tasmania
Hello, Andree & Annie :-)
Hi zooz :)
hi zoo
I have the tr8, help with other 8 's pls
Old Mother Hubbard, she went to the cupboard...(something about a bone that's not fit for this board)
What a ship drops to stop + Speilberg alien
AR + vowel + united *****s of America.
ty zooz
ty Molls, new word for me
Finger jewelry + you drink through a s*r**, plural
some people take forever to get the dishes out of the dish washer!
and I need to get into the kitchen to make a cup of tea
ty Molls, more new words
still 119 to find
thx moll
RI8 metal on finger + marbles
then plural
ty zooz I got it from molly's clue
Oops..sorry..did not see , molly clued that one.
brb, going to boil some water for tea
My son is meticulous. It takes him forever to load the dishwasher.
mine washes the dishes before he stacks the dishwasher, i have no idea why they bother owning one
i remind him of the original ads for dishwashers where a whole cake went in and dishes came out sparkling
That's like cleaning before the maid comes.
And fireworks for me.
yay zooz
Woo-hoo Zooz!!!
me too, me too, fw!
Congrats, Annie!
congrats to you, zooz
Yay Annie!! Woot woot
yay annie
It's a little pre-4th fireworks party.
Soodle, when is your daughter's prom?
Soodle, are you in charge of wooting when Jill is not here?
a wooter
11:45pm..think i wil retire for the night...take care al..and happy babbling.
sweet dreams, zooz
I used to like Carlee doing the pom pom toss twirl thingy.
*Poof*
havent seen that in a while
Note to self: Remember to toss pom poms for Zoom
Not till August 2oth, Annie. But, seeing as I'm an Irish Mammy, I was anxious to have the dress sorted.
"Irish Mammy" gets me so confused. It's a bad combination of an Irish Ma and Mammy Yokum.
Soodle, I did the same thing. I wanted everything done early and get it over with. She has a lovely dress.
Boys are easy. You just give them the money to rent the tux.
Annie, I'm a worrier. I'm glad the dress thing is sorted. One less thing to worry about!
Oh worra, worra, worra. See my new icon.
Molly, your I see your old icon. but when I click on it I see the new one. and it is very true
love the icon molly and doodle just read your great profile
I read your icons everyday. There is always a message there, sometimes, a hidden one.
would someone like to finish the grid for me so that I can go to bed early?
I read them daily, too
I've been doing a lot of reading about worrying and how it sends negative energy out.
we have a neighbor who posts a new sign every day on their lawn with a positive statement. I look for it when I pass their house.
I used to read BR's messages everyday too. BR, come on back here!
That is very cool Peri.
Annie, BR is still here. He goes by o-o now.
I tend to be a worrier too but I am working on it. trying not to worry about things I have no control over.
yes, it is very cool, Molls.
I know he is o-o but he never chats anymore and I miss him.
I have not seen him here as o-o
This really got my attention. What would you rather hear? "I"m so worried about you" or "I'm confident everything will turn out just fine."
#2
the latter one
Also, your thoughts tell the Universe what you want more of. Hmmm.
going to have dinner. later.
yes, I have heard that before
and i am off to shower and dress for the day
help with co7pls
#2 sounds delusional to me...
Well then I guess being positive is delusional.
You caught my attention with that too Molly
co7 ends in short for Mr. Hawthorne.
ty Molls
i just don't see how you can be confident everything will turn out fine. things don't always turn out fine. couldn't we find something in between #1 and #2?
I'm a glass half full person but can't help worrying about my (adult) kids, I tell them it's in the job description
that is true, hursh. I usualy say that I hope thing will turn out fine/well.
yeah hope, i'm ok with hope
wihout hope you got nuthin
Believe it or not, some people are more comfortable living in worry.
Without love it's tough too peri
indeed
<professional worrier!
I guess worry is self destructive, and it gives you wrinkles :)
more wrinkles I do not need
Soodle, maybe your just incredibly organised and forward thinking ;)
Bob Marley got it
Chrissi, m'dear.... Consider a career in politics!!!!
lol
Every little thing, gonna be alright. (There I go being delusional again)
.....all together now.....
Well you do think you're only 6 yo Mols
That is my mental age. I am well aware of how many years I have walked on this Earth.
I'm 21 in my delusions
Gosh you give great clues for a child :)
Never doubt that Big Brother is watching. Ever since Soodle and I discussed Jo Malone cologne, I have ads for it on every other site I visit.
That's freaky
worrying about tommorow is like trying to empty the ocean with a tea spoon.you either end up in the past or your mind is in the future, but never in the now
Guess you know whereof you speak crossy
i do indeed
you worry about the neighbour from hell on monday and you get whacked by the cancer stick on some sunny tuesday afternoon and it makes it all pointless
Hi all :)
howdy,liz
Hi Liz
So glad lickety turned up! What a relief when I came back home last night!
Poor Dee and Rose - they worked so hard to list!
And freep too!
Lickety's truly wonderful but it't also fun to help each other along
Oh for sure. The cluing and helping was great!
You were also there at flip, weren't you>
I'm just in awe of those people who manage without listing!
Did you hear about the guy who went to see a psychiatrist. He said "Doc, I'm a hopeless optimist but I'm sure you can cure me"
:)
You guys who play at the flip need to email Lickety if the list doesn't update. He has it set to update automatically , but if his computer is busy doing something, that won't happen. I happened to be up at flip time this morning and sent him a note.
he will cure you the second he presents his first bill for services rendered
He was updating his hard drive! Apparently it's now better and faster.
So I heard.
Cool new icon, Molly.
: D
Do you design your icons or search the internet for them?
A little of both. That one I found on the net.
help with tr7 pls
tr 7 - effort + old college is alma **** (I think)
in boston, anyway...
ty Liz
alma mater
wasn't sure of the spelling of 2nd word - er ending?
tyvm,liz
hurshy, how is Marty doing?
clue for am 6 / 24 pls
trymatas
oops.ballocks
sorry
thought so, bichon but the clue worked!
ok. we see a specialist on tuesday to see if he can help about his IBS
ok
am + repeat consonant + cappuch***
((((Marty)))) and ((((hurshy))))
tyvm
Hope all goes well with the specialist hurshy :)
ahh yes..IBS.he will alter your diet and cut you off of everyuthing but fresh air and sunshine andy maybe tofu and bean sprouts and distilled water
yvw
it's not so easy to alter his diet - he's picky. we can't have him starve himself.
your diet will have enough fiber so you will be farting dust
MY diet is fine crossy - it's a cat in question. a finicky cat.
ahh.poor kitty
then it will be a low ash formulae that is only available from the vet at roughly 4 dollars per can
Gradually change the diet - add little bits of fibre, so he doesn't notice!
but he doesn't want to eat wet food
i mean we can try it
but
if he won't eat it
what can you do?
too much dry and the fin icy cat who does not drink enough water pisses crystals and does damage
they have it in dry form.
we will see what the specialist says.
he's on fluids, crossy, subQ fluids
we had a cat almost bleed out over urine crystals
Hope all will be OK
his food bill per month ended up being more than our own
These a's are killing me!!!!
he's already lived longer than we expected given his diagnosis in january - so - well, we just keep seeing how it goes.
but it passes.then you can strike a nice wet/dry balance
but his kidney numbers have been good last two bloodworks.
good.good
i feed my kitties wet first in the day.then ignore them till mid day and give them all a small ration of high quality dry then dinner of a bit of wet again
my girls get wet morning and evening, then a smidge of dry. but marty - marty just wants what he's used to.
I give my cat wet food in am and dry food in pm sometimes with a little water in it to make it eaier to eat
eo 6 please :)
i entice my cats with a special water dish on my computer desk for in between drinks other than at the feeding station.it makes them feel special and they tend to drink more water
belief end Liz
Morning everyone
ty - tried one of those - must need a diff consonant!
tyvm
howdy, lynxx.our aussie time travelers are here;))

They still make Ta4. You can get it on Amazon.
We used to sprinkle it on buttered toast for an after school snack.
Reading about the left coast heat wave. Who goes to an outdoor concert when it's over 100 degrees?
wow
I used to drink it. it is also good to clean your dish washer if you use it instead of the soap
it is 109 here today
idiots, that is who. they should have cancelled the concert
Greetings, currently as I am typing this ... it is 117 here in Phoenix, AZ

You can watch it on the ABC web site. It's called The Comfort Of Death.
Dizzy Gillespie just rolled over in his grave
ty Molls. I will
going to watch this one now tho
Somehow I doubt that Dizzy ever referred to himself as an ho7.
well he certainly didn't call himself a trumpet tooter :D
Or any other ho4 player.
Having hung out with musicians all my life, I can tell you that pianist is not used much either. For obvious reasons.
that's only if you repeat it fast a bunch of times.
