not finding the ne words. my brain is quitting...
I used to have a few memorized when I was very young..
shalom arb
you have a lot of ne 5 not to find them jes :D
Love "Now We Are Six" too. Lots in them which didn't appeal as a chile but do now.
d'oh. thanks, ruru. NBT
Hi Moonwoof
*child okay, now I'll start looking for words.
Sometimes I see little children that remind me of "and she says my hands are perfickly clean!"
LOVE that one, m9!
yup. that one. And "they're changing guard at buckingham palace"
away I go to prepare for bed. Laters all and thanks for the cluing.
and the one about the delphiniums... poor little dormouse.
sleep well, jes
Have all 7s
what brought this on was a discussion with my gardener about "delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red)" versus "Chrysanthemums yellow and white".
re 7 x 2
wtg mel
Ah.. a good conversation!
re 6 x 5 so far
Did you have to call the doctor?
still missing 2 7's here
ab 7
ab 7 was a new one for me...
ab7 is a psychoanalytic term. I think Melanie Klein used or even coined it.
How about "The King's Breakfast"? "Could we have some butter for the royal slice of bread?"
interesting
The be7 was new to me. Monkeyed until I got it. Not in many dictionaries, possib;y archaic
ty mel looking
nbt
I love the love bug!
wtg m9
nbt nbs > halfway and all the 7s. Mediocrity burnished. Clues anyone before I retire?
Yes.. I had that one memorized.. but I think my fave to say is James James Morrison Morrison Weatherby George Dupree...
ty mel... missing one more 7... any ideas which one I am missing :)
Those golden gowns will get you into trouble!
I have ab, be, he, le, re x 2, ta...
I don't have the be 7
ends with opp of women
oh yes, m9 -- I was going to mention that. And then my mother used to get all choked up and teary over "Has anyone seen my mouse?"
awwww
Such a great book
I was so sure that be7 would be "beermen"...
that took a lot of guts m9
sadly not... tho guys seem to like be* as much as be4 ^^
pa 7 dee
That made me pull a face...
many thanks, ru!
forgot to add the e on the end :)
ooops! I only have 7 7s! The same ones as you, VMD! Better re-check lickety!
ru just called our missing one, mel.. the pa 7
that pa has lost its sheen
:) very good
missing one h... wonder if it is another 6

snap
he 5/20 probably dee
the love bug?
yes
have that one
awww was missing he 4 ... the beginning of mister munster's first name
the love bug has an R at the end, correct?
nope. it has a sometimes vowel
no... the sometimes vowel
Ah.. well.. one like it with R at end
jynx! xD
I guess even more lovey!!
:)
When your tummy responds, be the men, and smell even more of sage things, however more suspicious. Eat in Pennsylvania, rather strangely, of that ruddy worm. In your daydreams, berated wrongly.
That's seven cryptic clues. Not my best, but I tried.
gotta go do dishes -- getting nowhere with this -- no time tomorrow --bye all...*poof
Impressive, mel
nite, jili
Reaaly?
ooo... a song of joy to go with the love bug... to go with scots. How amusing!
By jilli
oookaaayyyy mel
m9 and jilli--you both still here? You're reciting my favorites--I tfound Poohsticks bridge on my own, bicycklling, and later too k a class there before it was o popular--we played Poohsticks from the bridge--
cya jilli!
I grew up near a ravine, we played Phhsticks, too!
Nice!
Poohsticks. Sorry about my horrid typing.
I was kind of a loner.. reading that book when I was about 7
I still have that copy, and my MIL got me another.
Heffalumps!
Sadly, I have never played poohsticks.
and woozles.
btw, my bizarre clue post, presented the 8 seven letter words in alphabetical order.
missing two r's grrrrr
7... wow, that's 42 years ago...
my kids memorized it-- me too. The poems. I've liked the bear who grew tubbywithout exercise--
Not 7 clues as previously mentioned. I should just head to bed.
when I was 7 I was prepared to sing Chr Robin is Saying his prayers in a church program--Mom had a book of songs--and somehow I got missed, never got to sing it. I've never forgotten that.
I like the one about imagination with the chair. And about that spot on the stairs...
Aww Barn! Poor little thing! :-)
the stairs one is pretty profound--in between spaces are important to kids--to adults too if they'd realize it
And the one about manners.
Rice puddling--
But it's LOVELY rice pudding!
but I should be in bed--if I wait for the flip i'm tired tomorrow.
I always laugh at the four friends one, that snail...
and we're getting into goops--do you know them? who lead disgusting lives?
i could talk for an hour--i better get to bed, copy down your m9 name and talk again. Good night.
nite
ite!
(I'm now listening to Robin the frog on the Muppets singing halfway down the stairs)
well i'll say one thing more--something really nice happened today--I got a splendid review in Agricultural History, by a U of I professor. Utterly unespected. Goodnight.
U of Wisconsin I mean.
I am missing a re 6.. any ideas.. I have re 6/24 X 2
I have re6/27
I also have re 6/24 x2 re 6/21 x 2 re 6/27
I need a re 6/27. I have the paul Re 6 one
to make hot again; to put the back of a shoe on again and to hold someone / God in high esteem
I must be missing the same re 6
I have re 6/33 too
I wager it's the one that sounds like discount
re + flying rodent + the round vowel
nope. .maybe the hold someone?
clue for the re 6/33?
no, because that's also the Paul one!LOL
Its a 17th century collar
the hold someone I clued is like Paul...
Can't tell you that one Dee, everyone has gone to sleep, and it may wake them!!!
hmmm looking
and the 6/33 is harmonic dissonance
tee hee. or what moon said
Like mr horse rider but a consonant instead of a vowel
ty vm moon, got it from that
np. Im sure i'll need help soon lol
pfpft!!! Cryptic is fun...
:-P
crap.. need just one
wait..I thought that was number two.
fixed an odd snack tonight, and it was really good ... homemade Italian bread with buffalo cheddar cheese slices ... under the broiler... very yummy
sounds yummy!
is buffalo cheddar cheese like buffalo wings? seasoned?
Actually it was... (with a glass of wine) :)

nice... needed that one
awww poor thing... hope it goes well and is conclusive
ah. Hope they figure something out.
nn ru! sleep well and hope everything turns out well for dylan
me to m9..
I want him to not be allergized and itch
itchy
bet they give you benadryl after
me too that is.. my typing is going
thats a very good goal.
I had to change laundry soaps a cpl of years ago for that
I'm allergic to the weirdest things
use All for same reason
I make our laundry soap
me too. And Ive had to add to the list as Ive aged
out of?
but not because of allergies. Because I'm cheap
lol
still a good reason
I have friends who do that, too... and have considered it. I just havent looked into it, yet
same here, moon... gets worse the older I get
for mostly the lazy reason, really
odd bi 6/27
I make mine with fels naptha, washing soda, and borax
ok.. i'm gone.. night all.. if jilli comes back tell her good night for me
but people with allergies use a different bar soap
nite, ru
like who is allergic to only *organic* citric acid? noone. Except me. Cause Ima freak lol
{{ ru }}
k. nite ru
same with nut oils. Its been sooo weird to figure out.
How'd you even figure that out???
allergic to brewer's yeast, which is a binding agent in many meds... have to have some vitamins compounded...
interesting! I used to eat brewer's yeast on popcorn.
I figured it out because I changed vitamins, actually.
gives me hives...
and Ive always drank things like tang or sunny delight.
Ah.. I could see that
I was told that many folks are allergic to brewer's yeast...
And then did you test that hypothesis?LOL
But I had fresh squeezed orange juice for the first time in a long time (I could finally afford it, really) and I got hives
Ive known that one for years, actually.
Ah! I think a lot of people are allergic to citric
But yea I did. Ive tested it pretty extensively, even. Organic acids of all kinds are awful for me.
so what were you allergic to, moon (in the oj)??
Probably the oils in the rind?
interesting
Yup. My doctors have thought so too. And many are allergic to yeasts, dee.
Its very similar to the grain allergy. My business partner can only eat flat breads
I am finding more and more allergens... frustrating. ... MSG is a definite no, no for me
every time she eats yeasts or risen breads she gets cold sores and indigestion.
awww poor thing
I was just reading something that said that in the Catholic church, the bread can not be gluten free for the eucharist
My newest allergy is bees, sadly. Only found out about that last year.
Wow.
so do you have to carry an epipen?
wonder why m9
I do now, yea
my brother has that one, moon... you really should carry an epipen
snap m9
I would wager that depends on the church, m. The recipe for communal bread when I was an alter-girl didnt have flour
I fully admit I dont know *everything* that contains gluten... but I still wager that there are alternatives.
I have a good friend who published a gluten free cookbook ... Stephanie Hapner
Oh yes, gluten free communion wafers are made, but apparently they don't meet vatican standards.
It was always my impression it was much more about the blessing and the thought/symbolism.
interesting... I don't think the Episcopal church is that strict
Well I wager that they'll likely change that soon enuf. I know the vatican is stubborn, but that's a rediculous requirement.
Again.. depends on the church.LOL We use water.
And in the Catholic church, it's not just symbolism.
And by it's very definition episcopalians arent as strict. I dont think they follow the vatican.
They believe in transubstantiation
can you clue the re 6/30 again, please?
I havent studied, nor kept up with religion as a whole, but Im sure the church of england is still seperate.
you are correct, moon, they don't
I don't have one.
ty ... looking for it
I understand the transubstantiation aspect... but I fail to see some priests really enforcing that, if it would harm thier parish.
I have a 33
and a 27 but nothing in between
the re6/30 is a cure.
ty moon!
thanks!
When you have a cold, honeied tea is one re6
np
finally fireworks :)
wtg dee!
grats dee!
ty .. thks for all the help... was a bit blind tonight
have a great evening / day!! See you at the flip!
np... Im still sorta blind, really... I just happened to have those lol
((moon))) ((m9)) *poof*
I have 42 left. seems like a nice cosmic place to leave off for now.
sleep well {{dee}}
gn as well, m
Hello:) Could I have a clue for the lone a at the bottom of the second column, please?
evening bil. Im bad at this, but gimme a mo to see if I can get the right a word, this time
that a should be ac4 which is pretending plus a vowel
Hi moon, ty
np
thanks again :)
ai5 - a bird's nest built very high up
no I'm wrong - forget that terrible clue
its a good clue. Its prolly just off another a =)
it's ae5 - same clue
for the ai5 that's close, you can say that in that nest it's a lot ai5 (windy and open) than one in a forest
thanks Dianne
Must be off now. Have a good day/evening :)
same bil, have a good one
srsly? I missed that hat?! Gah!
Thats fireflies for me. Goodnight lurky word questers!
cooee from me.
hi and nbt
josh!!! how are you, buddy?
doing fairly well, and yourself?
doing well today. have spent the day out with a dear friend, lunch, op shops and some desperately needed shopping which i could not do with himself in tow...
sounds like a celebratory beverage is in order
i am still stuck on asia time so i'm awake at night and asleep during the afternoon until i get it sorted
josh, only fairly well?? what's up, mate? already there...scotch on ice at hand
i have a mild habit of understatement granny, nothing to worry
josh, do you not have access to melatonin tabs. they reset your body-clock.
i prefer to do it the hard way, gives me a few days of productive time while no one else is awake
when my sons, when they travel, they carry melatonin tabs with them. on their return trip home, they take the tabs so that their body-clockes reset, according to the destination time.
good point, josh. there certainly is something to be said for being awake and working, when everyone else is asleep. no interruptions !!
yes, it will be best if i can write off doing the grid as working
*giggle* oh, really? i have always thought of it as working...enhancing my vocabulary is terribly important for work...right?
that's the ticket
speaking of, this grid is a bit sticky, isn't it
keep plugging at it, josh. it's not too bad.
i've got it down to 10, just a bit out of practice i guess
nice job, josh...you're doing well
good morning all
g'day spritey
hiya rose *hugs* My husband is in hospital since yesterday.
awww, sprite...is it something major?
we don't know yet. It looked like a hernia, but his symptoms are atypical for everything they can come up with. He is in severe pain. We are waiting for the MRI scan.
acckkk!! not good, sprite.
they started him on oxycodon day before yesterday, then oxynorm, and he just texted me they have upped it again, I don't know yet to what.
blood was good, urine was clear, X-ray showed nothing but a scoliosis (sp). They kind of hope that that is where the pain is coming from (severe leg pain) even though he doesn't really have pain in the back.
hmmm, pinched ne5 from the scoliosis? going down the sciatic ne5...
at
hey up marigold
oh and it is no aneurysm. Rose... this may be a stupid question but I worry so much... if the blood is good, heartbeat steady, they can find the pulse everywhere... it can't be something major, can it?
that is what they are hoping to find, rose. If that is it, they can help him.
only if it's a pinched ne5 from the scoliosis...i do so hope you have access to a good neuro surgeon
hi everyone
they said if it is that, they will call in the pain team and they will give an injection to 'kill' the nerve.
hiya marigold
noooo, call in a neurologist surgeon...sprite insist on it...he will know immediately if spinal surgery is needed.
ok. Will do!
ask for a second opinion, dear. and stand firm. it is absolutely imperative you have a neuro surgeon's opinion.
ok, I will remember that.
if the scoliosis is collapsing..a pinched ne5 is quite on the cards. poor man...he must be in so much pain...
then, you MUST acknowledge that the final decision is his. and that will be the hardest thing to bear, dear
he is. Can't hold still for a second, desperation rules. And nothing I could do for him he4. He texted me last night the pain was less thanks to the meds. But I think he had a bad night, or they wouldn't have upped it again.
argh yes, you are so right. I will respect his wishes though. We always do, that is how our relation works.
good for you, sprite. it so hard to bite your tongue, and let them make the final decision.
AND never say, ' i told you, so'
so true. I am like a lioness when one of my loved ones is in hospital. Have to bite my tongue the whole time. If I had my way, I'd sit by their side all the time and everything would go through me.
I told you so is a killer. For almost every kind of relationship. Even if... we told them so.
*giggle* yeah, sweetie.
with my himself, i simply lay out all the choices...let him decide...and if he can't, together we weigh up the pros and cons.
yeah, that is about how we do things here too.
new babble dictionary word: debatic - inclined to argue
sprite??i have to ask...have you been noticing the political jinks happening over he4?
rose, just heard they are transfering him to neurology, they still don't know what it is but he had another helluva night, so much pain, and they think it must be neurological. So that ne5 issue is likely.
not at all, rose, I am so sorry. What's up?
aha...let's hear it for the nursing profession...
nurses keep the hospital in working order.
not to worry, sprite. when you are not so concerned for himself...
please tell me, rose, I bet I can use the distraction ;) And besides, I am always interested in what concerns you.
mother mac says living with me is like having a doctor on tap...lol
oh I bet. You know so much.
sprite. our prime minister, julia guillard, used some extremely underhanded tactics to oust our former prime minister...now the tables have turned, and our old prime minister is now back in...
argh! And are you happy to have the old one back?
both these peeps belong to the labor party...
well, kevin rudd is infinitely preferable to julia.
painful :( But glad the bad girl is out.
sprite, she is such a bi***. mind you, kevin can be led by his nose.....is there such a thing as a good politician?
nowadays, I'd say no... a contradictio in terminis. All politicians seem to tell lies and to be power hungry.
oh, yeah...so true.
my eternal problem at voting time... how to choose between liars. But that is the price for living in a democracy, I guess... which beats the hell out of other forms.
sprite!! it was our wedding anniversary the other day...we were both so sick, we completely forgot the date...the next day, himself came out with a bag from a very expensive jeweller. it contained a beautiful pendant of indian sapphire and diamonds on a gold chain, and the matching earrings. *sigh*..he said it was time i had real indian sapphires, since the rings he bought me years ago.
ohhhhh rose how romantic!
oh, yeah, hun. nothing makes a woman feel exclusive like diamonds and the stone of her choice.!!!
Rose, this is my choice: http://tinyurl.com/cpht6bp
a fire opal which is mainly brown/gold, with some of the green and purple highlights. I don't own one!
btw, can you explain why beermen is not valid? I know several.
oh, yeah, sprite...loove your choice, hun
rofl, sprite, so can i....
i think dinner is on the way...cyl8r...xoxox sprite
bye rose, enjoy dinner *hugs*
sprite, do so hope himself is feeling better very soon. i think he is in the right place...
just spoke to him on the phone, he slept half of the night, then they had to move him and he spent the rest in agony. They gave him 6 different kind of pain killers so far. The one he is on now seems to work... he doesn't know and doesn't care what it is. I'll ask when I go visit :)
Sprite?
yes?
Hi - just came on and read about your beloved! Hope they find the problem quickly - for both your sakes. HUGS
thanks lyn :) xxx
PS very sad about our ousted Prime Minister...she was a brave and terrific woman who achieved a lot in a short time - sadly I think she will leave politicsforever. Our loss.
rose said she used underhanded tactics to oust the old prime minister?
No - the party was very dissatisfied with his way of operating (he was very non-inclusive) - we can only hope he learnt his lesson. (a leopard can't change his spots in my opinion)
as they say in dutch: you'll never teach a cuckoo's clock to say bim bam.
How is your new King(?) behaving himself?
so far so good. He is doing a tour through the netherlands, visiting all provinces.
yeah, King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima
was Maxima Dutch by birth?
Down to last two - re 6/27 and re 6/30 any clues please

it sounds like what you make toast with
ty, was stuck on that one also, diane
a toaster?
ah, found it, thanks Dianne! Fireflies.
can I get a clue for the co 5/12 - please
co 5-12 small bird, for meals
oops, large bird, neutered rooster
ca + once u*** a time
I have that on sprite
ah, you need the burial hill then.

I found it
thank for all the help
ok, I am off. Bye all.

lol, never know where babble will lead you.was culling the chog history for some juicy clues and some of the ladies were talking about aa milne and his phh books and some of the lesser known pooh stories.so what was crossy just doing?? going through wikpedia learning the nuances of the game "poohsticks" lol
pooh*
I don't recall that game, Crossy. My childhood was wasted!
you must research it.there is a good story on the real bridge that aa milne and christopher used to play this game on in the early 1900's
Allergies are annoying this a.m. I'm playing with my left eye tied behind my back.
they can be a pain
*waiting for the Benadryl to kick in*
i had allergies real bad as a child.do not remember the benadryl, but a whole pile of those dristan allergy tabs.i have not seen those in a while however
Ha. They probably cause cancer! Maybe you should sue them.
odd word of the day : re + flying rodent + the round vowel
more than likely my 30 years in the petroleum business handling toxic liquids caused my three cancers
Ty for that.
Oooh...thx crossy!
that and ignoring sun screen in my 20,s
I'm sure you're right about that, Crossy.

I agree, Champ. Who doesn't "rebeer". Ya drink just one.
*can't*
Just like potato chips!
You can't own beer...you can only rent it.
Hence rebeer
Morning, all. Just dropped in to play a few minutes before work. ((crossy)) I have missed you!
Hi, Mimi!
((mimi))
Hi, Judi!
verb
Sorry....oops!
Yep.
hi all
howdy,jmc
Hi, jmc!
I think it was Trader Kate who askec about MimiCat... she said to say hi if you came on
pb for everyone!
*looks for coffee*
Thanks, gemini...I've spoken to Kate and some others since then. Good to know I'm missed!
yes gemini. . . i was just about to tell mimicat that trader missed her. . .
didn't mean to take away your thunder,, didn't remember who was here
It's all good, gem!
Hi All
((hego))
Hiya Mimi, just thinking about you.
Realized I hadn't seen you in a while.
That's nice, hego.
I pop in occasionally before or after work. After transcribing, though, the last thing I want to do is type on the computer!
understandable
I hear that, mimi. Transcription sucks. Gotta get some Dragon sofware.
vowels, yuck
The "alien chipmunk" dr. is so trying on me...never in my life heard anyone talk like that...don't know how she got through med school and her training in dictation for her radiology course.
Thank goodness she's only half my work.
type it as it sounds for a while and maybe she will make more effort with her enunciations
good idea Crossy
Wish I could, crossy, but my boss would fire me...besides, she's going over all that dr.'s work and is fixing the stuff I can't understand until I get "used" to her...I should live so long!
Medical transcription = nightmare.
if all her letters go out sounding like a disney cartoon character it may help:)
Do doctors really have "dictation" training? I doubt it.
"all hail me the mighty chipmunk doctor! all bow and adapt to me!" lol
If it was up to me, I would have a talk with her and really let her know how difficult she is and if she didn't at least try to do better, I'd charge her double! The group she is in already lost 3 other services because she was too much trouble.
I don't think so Judi.
has anyone asked her to speak more clearly ?? even mentioned it to her just once??
Yes, Judi, when you train in radiology you do take a course in dictation since that is such an integral part of what they do...the reports need to be correct. You'd think this woman would try harder to be understood, right?
crazy
You'd think.
Hi Hursh
Either this doctor is arrogant as hell or she has no idea how she sounds on tape.
hi
She has been spoken to but to no avail. Now my boss has been offered much more work from "normal" drs. but doesn't have enough of us to do the work. I told her if she'd cut this group, she would have us available for more work and, thus, more money coming in...we'll see.
my son was real lazy with his speech in his early teen,he would slur everything through what sounded like a mouth full of spit.i just ignored him till he made the ffort to speak more clearly and it stopped
Anyone have a clue for the bi6/27?
Hursh, what time is it for you now?
hi hego and hursh and crossy and judi
9:43
Judi, my boss says she sounds that way on the phone, too...can't even imagine how she communicates at all.
Hi, hurshy!
Hiya, JMC.
good morning :)
Hi JMC
cause you know i'm not really british. i just say, if you can't be british, be as british as you can.
I can't stand not being able to understand doctors/health professionals. I refuse to put up with them. I will ask for a different doctor - one I can understand.
on one of my dumb conference calls. . .
and Nan
Hi, nan!
hi cyber
i am not a fan of the construction happening in the road outside. it is very loud.
bi + to fix: ****dy
i do the same judi.when i am on a tech support line,it drive me nuts when the computer asks if you want it in english or not, then connects you with someone for whom english is their 3rd or 4 language
Judi, that's the disadvantage working for a service in another city...I never have contact with the docs. Otherwise, I could discuss this and work it out. But it's my boss' business and her option to do so. I'm just the hired help.
i would give the doctor back her tapes each time and say that "sorry but I couldn't understand you, please re-dictate it where i can understand you" do that enough times and she would eventually improve
Infuriating when that happens. I tell them straight up, "I can't understand a word you're saying. Can you connect me with someone who doesn't have a foreign accent?" Tough shit for them.
hi o-o
i've gotten people i believe (based on their names) are in india on amazon support chat 3 times recently and they've all been wonderful - so i guess amazon gets all the good ones.
then again that's typing so you don't have to hear the accent.
Crossy, you'll love this story. When I was having trouble with my internet provider I had to keep calling tech support over and over for nearly a month. On one of those calls where I told the tech person my internet was out, she told me next time it went out to go to www.....hello, if it's out, I can't go to www anything, duh!
hehe
Bi6/27? Anyone? Anyone?
it varies. . . sometime no accent doesn't mean understanding of english. . .
it was just clued
I once had a doctor who would take his little dictation device into the bathroom with him and dictate WHILE HE PEED!! Sooo "entertaining."
hehehe
the big companies are learning though.more and more they are finding it is easier to help their english speaking costomers with tech people who actually speak english!! what a revelation!!
LOL, mimi. Clueless!
This dr. I'm having trouble with is American and she's worse than any foreign doctor with any accent I've ever transcribed.
bi + most of the means for a cure
I hate it when people talk on their cell phones while in the bathroom. I flush as much as possible when I witness that.
can you take longer on her tapes?
i am with you judi
sawing through asphalt is a sound that gets old REAL FAST
phew. ipod. relief.
lol Judi
can't believe it is Friday already.. hi all
Hi Aloy!
I can, jmc, but then I make no money because the longer it takes to do hers, the less time I have for the other dr. that I can just speed through. Right now since I'm still "in training" on the bad dr., I do the best I can and leave big holes for my boss to fill in and move on to the dr. who is a pleasure to transcribe so I can make decent money. If I could only do reasonable drs., I'd make twice the money but my boss wants someone to train on this horrible dr. so she can go on her honeymoon in October and have it covered....frankly, I think she's unrealistically optimistic...
((Aloy))
being the one on the other end of the saw with the diamond blade that cuts the asphalt gets old even faster:(
hi hego, how's the grid going for you? 25 left here (I lurked at the flip).. hi Mimi
Old English frigedæg "Frigga's day," from Frige, genitive of Frig (see Frigg), Germanic goddess of married love, a West Germanic translation of Latin dies Veneris "day of (the planet) Venus," which itself translated Greek Aphrodites hemera. Cf. Old Norse frijadagr, Old Frisian frigendei, Middle Dutch vridach, Dutch vrijdag, German Freitag "Friday," and the Latin-derived cognates Old French vendresdi, French vendredi, Spanish viernes. In the Germanic pantheon, Freya (q.v.) corresponds more closely in character to Venus than Frigg does, and some early Icelandic writers used Freyjudagr for "Friday."
this is tough -- need the i and e in the middle col. for nbt

when i lived in england the airing cuoboard was a life saver--you put clothes in it and what heat there is goes through the cupboard--i was washing diapers by hand, the cupboard was a blessing
It is a cupboard where clothes and linen are stored, usually contains the water heater as well - eg an early clothes dryer!

this grid seems a tad tough:((
i agree crossy! gonna take 5, brb
hi all!
suze!!
hello sue
hi crossy!
how are you this fine summer day?
hi wv!
I am much better than yesterday, crossy! Had a cyst removed on Wednesday and it hurt a lot more than I was expecting but now all is well.
glad you're feeling better
yes,i know the feeling.feels like they are digging it out with an ice cream scoop
me too! thanks!
i had some agressive moles removed from my belly in much the same way
ah, yes, that would be no fun. At least the back isn't too sensitive.
: O Didn't they numb it first?
fast injection and 15 seconds later he is coming at you with the scalpel and you say "wait!!" i think i can still feel something!! and he says "no you don't and starts carving
hi sue :) glad you're not hurting any more.
yes but eventually that wears off. That's when it got pretty miserable.
Still hurts but not nearly so much.
I had a mole out in january and, surprise, it turns out I'm resistant to local anesthetic
waaah crossy!!!
No pain meds for after?
hi molly and mael :)
that was the opposite of fun
hi kate! :)
ugh, mael, I hope they were able to do something else!
no, molly, they just said take tylenol, which I find to be pretty useless
nope. I had a skin biospy done last month, same thing
it dulls the edge of the pain, but that's about it. :(
A doctor (and I use that term loosely) tried to relocate my son's severely dislocated foot about a minute after he gave him some morphine. I got right in his face and told him to back the hell off until the morphine did it's job.
good for you, molly!
same here all they gave was regular tylenol,so i broke out the 40% alcohol volume medicine for a day or 2
at least in my case they did wait a few minutes for the local to kick in.
good going molls
Suggestion: When they tell you to take Tylenol (lame) always tell them that it does nothing for you. More times than not, they will prescribe something stronger.
well, Frank and I both have leftover stronger painkillers, so that was actually not a problem
Sue and Frank stash the good stuff. : D
panacea of the ages crossy ;)
the counterpoint to that is when I had a tooth abscess drained and the surgeon gave me 40 (forty!) vicodin
hey, you never know when you are going to need it :-)
suze has a stash!!!
wow!,mael!!
really mael??? wow!
Mael, you could have done some good street selling with all that Vicodin.
all over to mael's house for the good stuff!
mael has a better stach ;)
40 Vikes, what's the street value?
I was flabbergasted, I guess I look sweet and innocent and in need of 40 vicodin
10-15 a tab
Well, now we know what Crosshair does in his spare time.
is that ab 7/40 a "normal" word?
I don't know, but that stash is long gone (I took one day of, it made me loopy, and I never took one again). I guess my husband owes me 390-585 dollars!
how do you think he could afford his new jeep??? lol
the ab 7 is not a normal word. ab + one of the re words
To me the ab7 word is not normal..well i have not used it before..put it that way.
ty bichon, had the re words on the back burner, guesss it's time to start fishing :)
still working my way through the grid, not to the r's yet

speaking of re's , can I get a clue for re 6/30

I have to bury Mame Turtle next.
hi mkg, I don't have any 7s, sorry!

It is a bittersweet story. A car ran over the turtle and the injuries were too severe. But maybe at least one baby will hatch in 72-80 days.

Bichon, I used sticks and dug around inside to find the eggs.
Hi tech, eh?

The biologist in me had a great experience.
for poison ivy put steroid cream on and bathe several times a day. the old idea not to bathe made it worse.
not bathe, but shower. sorry. never sit in water with poison ivy as it spreads ut.
ty zzz
there was a slug taking a ride on the turtle's shell, so I guess we saved two creatures from cars. :)
i used to be very bad but now with showers and steroids i never get it bad.
The itching was intense last week and I placed ice on the patches for the best relief.
yw, Ruby :-)
okay, i hven't been toifacebook in ages... how do i find my friend list so i can go see scrabs' post?
What about Prednisone Scrabs?
shower shower shower and steroid cream! it works
prednisone is steroid. it works great. my husband, a doctor gives us prednisone pills and in 72 hours it is gone.
I took methylprednisolone for 2 days but went nuts from it and has insomnia. Rash improved dramatically though.
ANY A WORD CLUES? SO MANY A'S!

hello, folks
hi TO
yes, great movies.....where songs were so well integrated in the story line...
rebait
Singin' In The Rain, no question.
was never in to astaire's dancing, but riveted to his presence on the screen, completely revived 'it takes a thief' when he joined the cast

i was re7/40ed a few times in my adult life. . . if i took too far of a left point of view
of if i just opposed the powers that be. . .
did you watch any of the zimmerman trial?
my chat box says last message was at 10:57 am.??????'
no. . .didn't have the stomach for it. . . trials are hard enough when you have to attend them
welcome back poodle! haha
re6/21 before fix a shoe pls?
i hate it when an argument goes down that path
???
warm up again
re 6/21 - to warm up food again
i have a feeling that they did not indite him to begin with because they coudl not make the case. i have real misgivings about inditing people based on public outcry
I agree TO. This trial is a travesty of the legal process.
re7 path, you belive one thing that red's do so you are suddenly slotted into that group and nothing you say matters anymore
and if that was the case, there will be hell to pay if he is not convicted, i am my thoughts this was a cope wannabe and testosterone gone the wauy its goes, you know?
ah i see joso. . . yes it has always annoyed me. . .
cop wannabe. know tons of them. not saying he is not responsible, for pushing it to the point it ended
during the international year of the woman there was a conference being held in houston, tx where i lived. . .
want to talk issues and get diverted to isims
uns make guys extra brave
the locals wanted to have a celebration and we were told we 'could not' because we would drain the people from their event. . .
re6/20 after the leash please?
we agreed to shift our timing but the organizers made it clear that nothing should happen that they did not "approve". . . .
when we told them to take a hike they began to call different people in our local woman's group communists. . . it was 1977 for crying out loud. . .
so much for freedom of speach
Yoiks. Just googled the Zimmerman trial. Pretty contentious.....
that was when i made my first poster with my favorite quote from Benjamin Franklin:
Ooo, now I want a peach
gee what would they call you now? cannot use the commie word
Those who give up an essential liberty for temporary safety deserve neither.
Sadly that quote is apt today.
i had one today, it was very juicy. and free becaise they could not get it to ring up correctly
did i get my clue pls?
now i am called a terrorist of course. . . or someone who supports terrorism. . . .you know how vicious we Quakers are. . .
There has never been enough evidence in the Zimmerman case for it to even be brought to trial. Another example of how the American legal system is manipulated.
i think it alway will be jmc, who said 'i may dissagree with what he says but will defend to the death his right to say it' or words to that effect
molls there is no question he shot the man. . .the question is how and why. . .that is exactly what a trial is for. . .
voltaire
voltaire
i always like the justice jackson quote too:
good man voltaire
He was not even arrested, originally because the police saw it as self defense. The Zimmerman trial is all about the race card. And it does not belong in a court room.
Freedom to differ is not limited to things that do not matter much. That would be a mere shadow of freedom. The test of its substance is the right to differ as to things that touch the heart of the existing order.
oh my- what a time to sign on to babble.
oh my- what a time to sign on to babble.
most people are not arrested immediately. . .unless they are black, of course. . . .
nice quote jmc
excellent quote, new to me that one jmc
i often think about it wolvie. . .justice jackson is not well enough known. . .
uphill battle with that one i think jmc not that i dont agree with you ( the arrested comment)
that is why i get into trouble so much though. . . i support freedom of speech for people with whom i do not in any way agree. . .
it does make one think. something that is sadly lacking today
so do i, much to my regret at times, lol
i seldom regret it unless it results in a friend turning away from me. . .
i regret that i have to listen, lol. but i would hate the alternative
i honestly believe the country and world is better if we hear from all sides. . . and if all sides at least pretend to listen ;-)
off the chog back to the grid- just getting started
yea, another case of getting lumped in with a group against your will and the real issues getting obscured
Freedom to differ is great, and I'm all for it. That has nothing to do with the law, and what constitutes self defense.
pls mau i get help with my last words?
and that molls is what is the courts job. . .
listen is the key word jmc. hardly anyone does that anymore
sorry TO i don't have it. . .
absolutely TO
i think he is respobsible because he should not have followed and confronted the guy unless he saw him committing a crime and was to stop it.
that is why i am trying so hard to create a nonpartisan advocacy group. . . talk about rolling a boulder up hill!
it escalated into something entirely different than he expected
re6-30 medical cure, fix a problem
but what degree , what charge and what penalty?
I often forget what a liberal board this is.
ty joso
it is liberal to think people should have a trial?
Afternoon all.. *happy Friday dance* will dive in and tackle this grid...not go running off like yesterday!
it is, very much.
i did not weigh in on which way i think the court should decide. . . just that i think the court should decide. . .
ty joso *thinking*
hi jilly. . . enjoy. . .
no. but is it consrvative to be able to stand up and say we cannot indite if there is not the eveidence? the charge was 2nd degree.
and the thing about the law is that it is always open to interpretation. that is what i learned in law class. it was an eye opener.
the grand jury is part of the process. . . and often indites when there is not enough evidence in my experience. . .but no such outcry when the indictment without evidence is a black kid. . .I have no idea if there was enough evidence. . .the system is that the grand jury decides and it did. . .
i have not followed this case. . .
so the poilce and da cannot make that judgement w/out the rand jury? this is not an argument, it is a ?
i followed my hubby's cases and my cases and a few friends when they got into trouble. . .
i think it is the race card too.. but, would zimmerman have followed him if he were white?
there are ways for the DA to indict without a grand jury but it is difficult. . .generally a grand jury is involved to represent a check on an unfettered DA. . .
as dershowitz said- our system is not about justice, it is about the law. (forgive any sp errors)
mostly grand juries rubber stamp. . .
and y did he keep following him after the police told him not to.. if they reduce charges there will be racial problems
i really think he thought they kid would give up and it got out of hand. I think the gun emboldened him
welll on the justice department is engraved: a country not ruled by law is ruled by the caprice of man. . .
i do not think he thought it through at all. perhaps he wanted to be a cop for real and thought he would get accolades. who knows?
i heard he was offered ajob as a cop, but didnt take it.dont know if its true
ty i am still ruminating on thsoe last two re words, ut at least there are now only two
and im still wondering y bedpot isnt a word lol
the main thing to me was he didnt listen to the cops - to stay in his car- they would handle it- when he disobeyed that directive- all self defense claims went out the door
from what I understand you have a vigilante with a gun hunting bad guys and a teen running an errand to the corner store, then you have a dead body. Colour is muddying up the issues but surely serious questions should be asked, and a trial should do that. A trial should not be a rubber stamp to come up with a guilty verdict, but explore all known about the issue.
that is as cut and dried as it really is.
bedpot?
omg i nearly burned the house down. left a pot on the stove
bedpan?
i agree wolvie.. i been saying that all along. they told him not follow him..he should answer the question as to y did he
should we dial 911?
actually, pot bed should be a word to :)
lol
too
i wonder about a town watch member who has a permit to carry. recipe for disaster
sure jm.. y not a word.. u have bed, you have pot.. bedpot lol
pot bed is two words though. . .
nbt/nbs....so much better than yesterday...LOL
no, je, but it was very close. i kept semlling something cooking. i really must get another tv so i ccan be all on one floor.
wd jilly
re6/30 and 6/33 before to adore, pls. i am stumped
so did kate have her baby??
*Glad Jill got over her grumpies. Pours her a double gin and nothing*
jilly you are grumpy? it's friday and it's happy hour...
More important, did Bea's daughter have her baby?
glad to hear it TO. . .get a cheap tv
*holds out glass for gin and nothing*
ruined a ood pot, it has this beigey stuff all on the bottom
LOL TO...no, but sure was grumpy last night...grid pissed me off within about 20 minutes and I went out in a snit...
you may be able to clean it over time TO
hmmm... who is bea? lol
*Pours double gin and nothing for JMC*
in two hours i will be bellying up to the bar and listening to a great new accordian player
did the snit have radial tires?
well, it has teflon so maybe not a ood idea.
i would like a glass of bella rosa pz
smoking....
sounds good TO
I was here, she was really snitty. : P
well, snit was in the grid. as was sh*t
no you can clean teflon. . . it just takes soaking and scrubbing and then soaking a scrubbing. . .
dancing tonight and all day tomorrow, big party
LOL...okay, okay...I am sufficiently punished...
but if it was damaged will it give off noxious chemicals?
i amazed myself and came into the chog and didn't even enter one word. . .(but found them in my head)
It's okay Jill, we all have snitty days. No punishment.
:D my pan does not smell burned, it smells as if meat is cooking. odd
no it gives off noxious chemicals when it is over he**ed (a lot) at the time of being overhe**ed
did the thunderstorm keep you awak last night molls?
Well, I was working in Recovery Room this week, and last patient, after a long day, tried to crash on us. So, while outcome great-we saved her, I probably should have had an easier grid
i have done this before. it scares me. i just go off and forget
glad you saved her but that has to be tough. . .
set a timer TO. . .i set one on my phone which is pretty much always with me. . .
good idea, je.
I slept great last night. The thunder was far enough away that it just rumbled.
it was directly over my head. . . :-(
<----loves it when Molly catches up on chog....
well i am off to figure out supper and take an aspirin. . . bbl. . . 68 left. . . *poof*
later, je
To clean a burnt pot, add biological washing powder to warm water in the pan and leave overnight. The burnt bit will clean easily. saves a lot of work.
Later then jmc!
Oh golly, was I not attentive enough to chat? I had some things going on in the kitchen. *Gives self 30 lashes*

Okay, halfway and I must also head out to figure out dinner...bbl.

Molly!!!!! I was typing a highly convoluted, very complicated clue for TO, & you gazumped me!!!!
I often gazump people.
I knew from the start you were a gazumper.
:D
I often offend people with my gazumping. So sad, too bad. : P
I feel your pain Molls.
This little island I call home is sweltering in unheard of temperatures at the moment. 32 degrees plus! And not an air conditioning unit in sight. Its been a difficult week at the office!
We get that hot most of the summer. I need a cool down, there is no fresh air out there.
Irish people are hilarious. Day one- 'Isn't it a lovely day?' Day 2. 'Oh I hope this weather lasts'. Day 3 ' we could do with a drop of rain'. Day 4 ' Lets pray for rain'.... Day 5 ' Jaysus, we're all going to melt'. I'll let you know about Day 6 tomorrow....
I don't know how you do it without air conditioning.
I'm melting with air conditioning.
Baby????
Oh, yes. She was born 7/10 at 4:14 am. Weighed in at 6lbs 8 ozs 20 inches long.

<---Loves babies
Me too. Especially this one.
Newborns terrify the living daylights outta me. The fragility, the soft spot on the head, the utter guilelessness of them. Even now, 18+ years on, I find it hard to believe I got 3 of them to aduldhood without any major incidents. Taking a moment to send a swift gratitude prayer upwards....
I think newborns are extraordinary. They take my breath away.
Oh dear. I killed the chog. Sorry . Enjoy the newbee Bzz.
If the following statement is repeated to Soodle-offspring, I will deny it:- I can't wait to be a Granda! Bring it on!!!
Emmmm... GrandMa!!!
i agree with both of you. Time to go fix dinner for the nursing mom and the hungry dad...Later!

Bye Bea,,tc and hugs to you and your family again
L is not chatty these days.
hi Soodle
i was very chatty last night but you did your usual thing of backing out the chog Molly :D
i chat when i want to.i'm a person who enjoys my own space, even though i'm not actually chatting to people 1;1 even on here there are times i still like my own space.that's why i like this game and the chat. i choose when i want to chat :)
*as in literally
My usual thing??
now i've killed the chat as usual!!
you back out of the chog when you think you've annoyed or upset someone
you've done it a few times to me, when you've thought you've annoyed or upset me, believe me, you haven't as i will say if you have :)
If someone makes a pissed off comment, like Kate did last night, I back off instead of chatting any further. I have been told that is the best thing to do.
I like you Molly and i like the fact that you say how it is and what you believe and will stand up for what you believe.it's a pity more don't do it and it's a shame that because of your meanor that a person said nasty things about you, saying that, we all take what people write here differently.some to heart and some don't care. That's life
Hi lilli and Molly and others :)
hi Liz :)
I agree with what you're saying, lilli.
ty liz
so, liz, how are you?
I know that people have different tones of writing but think it very sad that here or anywhere else, people set out to upset someone.
Very, very well thanks ;)
Hope you're enjoying summery weather lilli
i meant the nasty comment as being on facebook.even though i didn't see it as it was erased
i think if you have something to say, you should say it to their face or not in computor worlds case!!
I didn't see it either but think that Molly's right to back off from someone if they're being aggressive. It's too easy to insult in writing. Much harder face to face.
glad you are well and yes, it was 32 degrees here today, which is very odd for the North
yes, you're right, it is easier to be nasty over a computor, but sometimes peoples' words are miscontrued.i just think that especially here, we are from different countries so what offends in one country doesn't in another.you must know the differences, as you lived here for alot of years and now in another country
Language is a funny thing. Some words for instance, that we use every day in England and Aus are totally unacceptable in other countries - rude even!
exactly, the same as some signs but obviously we can't use signs here so some words and even icons upset people.oh well, we can't please everybody all the time!
So we just try to be ourselves - except for those who try to be someone else!!!
i still need 55 left as i started late again today as i was putting veg in tubs tonight as it was cooler outside than it was inside, so i'm diving in for a while
See you soon :)
yes, the problem is knowing who is a real person and who isn't!!
you too :)
For sure!
i am back...
L, I'm not sure I understand. You yourself say that you lurk and don't chat because you feel as though you run people off. And yet you indicate that I am doing something wrong by backing away from an angry comment. I'll leave it at that, and let chat get back to the light and fluffy stuff.
i never said you did something wrong, on the contrary Molly, i think you should have stopped and i mentioned the other day that i think i run people off but i don't stop chatting, i stop because i don't want to chat, that's me.this is why i hate the chat as you can never say what you mean properly, especially typing!i wasn't having a go at you and i'm not going to argue the toss over things now. i was actually standing up for you!! but heho, i'll go back to the grid now!

Iwant to be a wratter.
Hi luwanda.
I don't know. Was he real? My mother had a crush on Richard Thomas.
I would be in the other room watching "An American Family"- you know, the too -Loud family.
i kind of thought he was the person who wrote the stories... maybe i just fell for the mystique. I also watched the louds, lance, etc. it was on pbs
watching bones here :)
But we watched upstairsdownstairs together.
They re-ran it recently- it was just as boringly fascinating and disturbing (the Louds)
ah, i was married and living away from my mother for upstairs downstairs. but we did discuss it
Watch out lilliann, your term for your daughter is in da grid today!
ty for that jill
Nora Ephron had a great essay on it. It sounds like she could have been writing about Downton. And she eviscerated Pat Loud in another essay.
Nora was my hero.
nora ephron had a great essay on everything.
they're running upstairs downstairs (old and the later sseries) here on vision tv. enjoying eavesdroping on the bellamys again :)

wooot! i used to play lex once in a while....
oh that must be the game called words of wonder.i lost interest after level 39
I think that galley ship word has been in previous grids. For some reason, I remember the definition.
word trick however looks very interesting for long term play
can you invite me or send me a link or whatever?
be7 was the new one for me, kind of a prayer surf

You folks amaze me. I can barely manage to get through this word game.
you would Molly has you have such a fantastic memory. i wish yours would rub out into mine :) saying that, maybe it's just one of those words someone remembers

my legs twitch, i think we all twich in our sleep or as we're just getting off to sleep, but our twitches are named something but i can't remeber what
there is also restless leg syndrome...
I know that one :D
depends on severity... tics, myoclonus, restless legs (name made up by a drug company, fyi)
kje - that's exactly how i explained it to my doctor... had never heard of it before! IT WILL DRIVE YOU CRAZY!
oops caps lock again...
restless leg, that's it, i was told to drink tonic water as it would help, well i drink tonic water with my vodka and also alot without and there are time i still twitch
70% of americans are on a prescription drug... I'd say the drug companies have been quite successful

ai6 is what we breath and males
or pilots
ai6 aero soldiers
I can't type worth beans today
bi6?
why didn't we both say that in the first place ru, so much easier? :)
i don't take anythingfor it.. just have sleepless nights, no matter how exhausted i am. i have found that a good dose of vitamin b100 complex does help keep it at bay. i now only get a night or two 3-4 times a year. i have heard of tonic water helping, but had no success with it myself
Gosh, joso, I should have seen that.....thanks much.
bi6, type of roman galley

ty
Or a sail that goes both ways?
2 rows of oars, but right otherwise
lol@ruru
ty joso :)
The bi6 was interesting when I looked it up. I learn a lot from these grids....of course, there isn't always time enough to look up the meaning.
kate, off to pb as you almost spelt the word!the bar is open i think
be7 is really weird in this day and age
i look them up Peach, but i never remember them, sadly
KJE.. did you see/hear the racist remarks on Channel two regarding the plane crash
i should hope the bar is openat this time of night! lol, molly opened it up earlier, and i made some canapes and a cheese platter with fruit, don't know what else is in there....
No, ruru, what were the remarks?
no ru... no TV
i had some low fat camembert with tiger bread tonight and i also had some pate aswell. that's all i've eaten all day
what did you find for a definition joso? old version of to be beset by an evil entity?
someone put a joke on the teleprompter.. and the guy read it right from the screen.. and it was a little rude
FW

Hello stidmama! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog.
actually alot of the words are easy ones and others are babble words that no-one has heard of, i'm just tired today and finding it difficult
stidmama, with your super Babble capabilities, I'd say yes!

Hello just starting. Nice to see you all.
hello Mother -- was going to let you know I have sent you the picture of the fabric you liked for the utility room... and what about using some of those red color sets in my kitchen? Living room in golds and greens, kitchen-dining in reds and golds? Tom's office in golds and blues...
and my office in a rainbow...
go, stiddie,go!!! if you list, most of the grid isn't as bad as it first appears....
Thank you I haven't looked at email this evening but will enjoy the picture tomorrow. Colors sound and look promising.
Flo just replied -- will forward her note also.
down to 79 already, it's not a bad grid so far, kate
hi stidggie :) you're rockin' the grid stiddie.... :)
past halfway... still need two tiles and a 7... probably will coincide with one of them?
Hi there TK, stiddy, and stidg!
hey jilly
hi jilly, glad you came back :)
taking a break to charge the laptop. back before flip to finish (with list) (((hugs all)))
Sorry, got a phone call, actually a series of them from my m-i-l, the usual confusion. I poofed without posting..sorry
Heyas kids ..
HI there torgone!
bye stiddie, hi torgone ;)
See you soon stiddy
everything okay with m-i-l jilly? alzhiemer's???
Yes, family moved her to Gillette where my sis in law and family are. Not going well, I think she needs to be in assisted living. she calls several times a day wanting to move back to Butte and we have to go through the litany of why she can't. I feel for my sis in law, really bearing the brunt of the care.
DAng it all, just got all the MS updates and now I can't seem to get Mozilla firefox to come up. Seems to be a glitch with mcaffee virus scan...
oh, jilly that must be so hard. i feel for you and your whole family. the decisions we now have to make concerning our older relatives, are tearing so many to pieces...and now firefox is down! let us know when you are bback...
I am fine on babble, use expert. But we have a private family group on FB and we post these calls and stay in good communication with each other. Was trying to get on FB to share that last call. Thank goodness for my smart phone.
Okay, I am going to restart computer again...brb
what a good idea jilly! easy (and inexpensive) way to keep everyone up to date... standing by... :)
back on babble, FF still a no go...
Now have lost lickety....thank goodnes I am done..
glad you're back, can you get on fb in internet explorer or google chrome instead?
lost lickety???? say it isn't so!!!! any help in refreshing the lickety clues?
this loaner laptop is very old (same one i had when i babbled before) screen isn't very wide, have a heck of a time fitting lickety and chog all on the same screen :( must save my pennies for a wider screen computer... but first- i must get an a/c unit - the humidity is killing me here...
Have to reboot again....*poof*
lol, happy journeys.. i will be here, but about to eat....almost 11 pm here, will be typing one-handed ;)

My Latin is much better now thank you
yeah!!!!
I would not have gotten that without your help Katie
Sorry - Kate
no 4/4 bene... means note well.... as in "pay attention to this"
ty for shortening that up karenka... i don't like "katie" makes me feel 8 yrs. old :)
the monkeys would have found it eventually karenka (karen?)
I caught myself Kate - see a couple of frames below.
Karenka is a childhood nickname given to me by my brother.
i caught it karenka... was thanking you fr addressing me in my preferred form of name :)
awwww, that's sweet! does your brother p;lay too?
sounds vaguely polish/hungarian :)
I doubt that he does, but then again, he might. Maybe I will introduce the game to him. I only discovered the game two days ago..
welcome karenka! may your babble days be filled with love and acceptance... and more bits of trivia than you could absorb in a lifetime! :))
how did you find us? for me it was through the iron sudoku...
Yay, finally got ahold of my sis in law...now I can relax!
good news jilly! have a cold one ;)
Hello again karenka! Good to see you back!
she may have submerged herself in the grid jilly....
WE all come up for air now and then....LOL...when we don't poof without warning that is...
How was your Friday TK?
she's brand-spankin' new jilly... i'm sure she'll be back! my friday wa fairly uneventful - recovering from thrursday... and getting ready for friday - pretty much a "down time day' just relaxing mostly and babbling :)
getting ready for saturday, that is...
did you have a good TGIF jilly?
Yes! Got a bit caught up in my department after working most of week in Recovery Room. And new boss is giving me a 'paperday' on Tuesday to really get caught up.
Glad I do not have to work on Saturday!
hurray for "paper days" ??? i hope...at least it's a chance to gather yourself and re-cuperate from the strains of the week. i guess you had a busy weeek?
<----wishes i didn't have to work on saturday, but a dime is a dime....
Congrats, jes!!!!!!
Yes! I can do the recovery job from nursing care, but remembering all the nuances of the computer documentation....my head is aching!
lol, hi peach!!! i think jess is long gone.... how are you?

... or sounds like what the manufacturer gives the purchaser as a financial insentive to buy...

*back
Oh, kids will do that...no life allowed
yes, about 20 hours ago
newborns have a way of taking up all your time mark - is all well?
That explains why you've been so busy, Mark.
then WooT WooT WooT joso!!
my wife works and i am a stay-at-home dad...and occasional composer
things are goood!
I have a househusband myself....but 'kids' are 30 and 27...LOL
i thought so joso...the 11:19 comment was for you rappearance, no tyour fw... mea culpa... glad you're here!
What style of music mark?
piano and keyboard-based instrumental...good for background music while Babbling
how commendable mark! i hope you are fulfillled in your life! sounds idyllic! (though i'm sure you have had your share of headaches)
well...we also foster teenagers
ah-ha!!!! now babble needs a soundtrack we can turn on.... mark steps up to the plate.....
brb...sorry
oh boy! both ends of the spectrum - each with their own set of needs and problems ... seriouly, that must be very strenuous on your daily life....
do you foster the teens long-term or short term?
we try for long-term, but that's not always possible. right now we have a 17 yr old boy who we've had for the past 2.5 yrs and have another 2 yrs to go until he finishes high school
so far, he's the longest, hands-down...
the gods be willing mark - i hope it works out well for both of you - at that age it's very difficulot to "find a place in the world, when you aren't where you're "supposed to be" (with family)... so foster care there extends beyond age 18 if they are still in school? that's great!!!
by now, you must have built up wuite a rapore with him... is it a relationship you hope to continue in the years beyond?
quite...
only if they're still in school. plus, we are doing international foster care (it's a UN program), so he's a refugee who's been granted asylee status in the US. and yes, as far as we're concerned he's family
all night i have been hitting the w instead of the q key....
well, don't wuit now....
how wonderful for all of you!!! such a learning experience!! may i ask where he's from?
;)
lololol mark ;)
Burma, he's from a persecuted people group called Chin Falam. he and his sister fled the country and eventually made it to a UN refugee camp and then to the US. he still has family over there and calls/skypes them often
How wonderful that you are doing that Mark!
i'm glad the "powers that be" don't kick him to the curb at 18 regardless of education level etc. in my books, 18 is waaaay too young these days especially!
well, he's a pretty typical teenage boy...in just about every way.
is the persecution religiously or ethincally orientated mark? i confess ignorance to the politics of burma atm. the org. sounds like another i have heard of recently which is religious.... glad he has been able to maintain his cjontact with his real family - nothin else can take the place of that, no matter how wonderful
.. the "adoptive faamily
the persecution is both religious and ethnic. the Chin Falam are predominantly Christian and the Burmese government is very Hindu/Buddhist
last call lurkerz... come one come all!!!! all requests happily clued (excuse typos please) THE FLIP COMMETH!!!!
i htink what i was thinking o fwas in china - same thing, possibly the same group... i am too tired to remember atm... there was a big to-do a couple years back in canada over gettting dsome of the chonese from the sect brought here fjor the same reason
Wow, almost flip time and I'm still up...did hell freeze over?
aaack! my lap top just hiccupped - way too tored to be chatting, too many typos and too tired to care much.. at a table too high to hit the keyoard easily without being lazy and laying arems on the table - makes for really BAD typos ....
lol jillly- live dangerously for a few minutes! i'm way past tired, will wait for flip then go to bed... tomorrow comes early for me.
