Yes, busy, dee -- hours standing around at the new library's celebration (2 hours there), then at a wine and cheese do in the neighbourhood -- more standing around. My back doesn't like it.

It was a bit weird in a way -- they had some "dancers" doing things with books and no music to accompany them -- all this outside at the entrance to the building. Then a nice folk singer, then indoors to the program room and speeches by politicians and personages. Then a cake-cutting (very good cake). My job was to stand at a table with juice and coffee and tea and make sure people got what they wanted and supplies were kept up and such. There were lots of people.

It's tough, that is for sure. I have a grandson that is 30 something and is still weird. He is brilliant but has so many issues that I think he is on the brink of losing it....he was never disclipened (sp) in his entire life....I felt so sorry for his father, my daughter would not let him have any say against her darling boy. I just pretend that I don't have a grandson. I know that sounds harsh....but I have feared for their lives as long as he was big enough to be dangerous. This surely isn't saying that it will happen to you.....you and your husband are working together with him.
oh peach, how awful :( Brilliance can be a curse. Terrible for his father too. Sounds scary... I really hope we won't land up there with Tim. We do discipline him and are loyal to our boundaries with him... hoping it will be enough in the long run.

I think it is hormones too, puglet. He used to be a good kid. Never easy, but goodhearted and helpful and caring. So I trust those things will come back to the surface once he is a little older. He only does this at home. People outdoors all keep telling us how nice and kind he is.

I agree. I have taught Sacred Dance in the catholic church here for years. We got along splendidly and they said I was more religious than many people who went to church twice a week. Never tried to get me to join them either. I thought that was beautiful.
and now that we are talking about this, I will say one more thing that may sound corny, but still. I can truly FEEL it when people pray for me or hold me in their hearts and thoughts. It feels like a protecting mantle around my shoulders.

I have seen many crashes while watching Le Tour De France..and the crashes are horrific.
