Fawn -- lovely -- we had fawns and brindles -- they're in the same family. There are also blues, blacks, harlequins and mantles , which have colouring like Boston terriers.

Harlequins are white with torn black patches. Gorgeous.
They're all beautiful, in my not-so-humble opinion.

We have 2 mix breed pups. One is a jack russel/dachshund mix, the other was a rescue that they thought was Chow/Newfoundland. She has webbed feet and black spots on her tongue, but now that she is an adult, she doesn't fit either breed
We think she resembles and has the temperment more of a border collie mix
Just looked at google images of great danes to see the colours jilli. There's some beautiful pictures, can see why you were smitten.

that's the trouble with mixes -- you don't know what to expect. My granddaughter has a wonderful little rescue, half Chihuahua and half Boston Terrier. He's bright as a button and full of personality -- she was lucky.

We lucked out on both of ours. My Tucker is so much calmer than either of his breeds (jack russel & dachshund) and he is so lovable. And our Ella May is very smart and full of energy. But she listens very well to Bart and is calm with him. I think she understands his handicap and is calm to keep from hurting him, but with me she is absolutely crazy sometimes, LOL. Very playful and very loving!
what is bart's handicap? Dogs are so aware.
He has mild case of cerbral palsy and his one leg is smaller than the other and his foot is turned in, so he walks with a limp.
she never pulls when he walks her, but it's like she knows that I can still run and wants to pull for me. She is very calm with him but likes to rough house with me.

a friend who played lap dulcimer (professionally - lots and lots) had to give it up except occassionally now because of arthritis in her fingers - she now plays the bowed psaltery - the hammered dulciomer, i think, might be better with your arthritis - i have some arthritis and it does get sore after i play for long periods of time

with the lap dulcimer you still need to hold a pick in one hand nad press down on the frets with the other hand - hammered dulcimer you just are holding the two hammers

Cortisone seems to be a band-aid, Kap. Have had 2 back surgeries but now 13 yrs. later cannot stand for longer than 15 min. at a time....it's hell getting old.

Fusion is pretty much last resort. No going back!

Considering the area you're having done, hego, I would think it would be effective. The back is a whole other ball of wax....and it doesn't help that my thyroid is basically GONE and the weight gain adds to the back issue. Am going to see an endocrinologist soon and finally get that taken care of, much to the relief of my cardiologist, since thyroid aggravates heart issues. Hey...when did I get OLD?!!

I went into the hospital to have surgery on my ankle. I woke up with terrible pain in my hip. I thought they had done the wrong op on the wrong person. Turns out i needed a bone graft & they took it from my hip.

The absolute best thing to do for a bad back is keep weight off. I was fine after my surgery when I was still 123 lbs. but when the thyroid quit and I gained weight (without even the fun of eating a lot) the back problem returned. Gravity is no longer my friend.
wait till you are having a procedure done and they decide they need a bit of skin and they do a skin graft on you while you are under.they take the skin from yer bum or your thigh.it hursts worse than whatever you went in there to get done

I did a graft from hip to back as well, Soodle, but had no trouble with the hip. Think I was too occupied with the excruciating pain from the postop back and the every-night trips to the ER for pain shots (even though I supposedly had adequate pain relief).
