I hate to be so whiny, but at this point, can someone just give the definition.. my monkeys are tapped out
Any of various dark, granite-textured, crystalline rocks rich in plagioclase and having little quartz
try the itic ending
ty mab, finally found it
thank you mab!
thanks Erda, that did it
my eyes were starting to cross
plagioclase --- now there's a word!!
let us hope it never appears in a grid. this one was bad enough! ;)
Ah thank you Erda - I did so love looking at rocks in thin section under the microscope - plagioclase is fascinating then
finito.. had to go to morewords for my last one
congrats, ruru!
well done ru are you egg-salted?
or egg-sultant?
as long as you didn't take plagioclase for granite scouser :D

scouser, I just read your little blurb... I do old norse and other dead germanic languages... maybe we can have a dead language babble? ;-)
rur, that hurt
:D
I know someone studying Doric at the moment! However, Babble already is a dead language game - well "dead and borrowed" ?
actually scouser I have to egg myself on all the time
g'night. Washer's done, putting it in the dryer and going to bed. Happy Babbling!

I love languages in general
oh.. then it is ot 6
useless
jb ot--- ear not eye?
*starts anatomy lesson for JB *
ooh, now I'm listenin'
I like the word ot6 as its base occurs in Liverpool's coat of arms "Deus Nobic Haec Ot4 fecit". No-one seems to know what it really meant, or why it was chosen, but it has led to lots of jokes about Liverpudlian's views on work and leisure
I like the word liverpudian :D
It means "God has given us these days of leisure" xx
yes - Liverpool means "pool of dirty or muddy water" though I've never heard anyone refer to Liverpuddle
I've heard of kidney shaped pools
Yes worzel but what relevance it has to the city has yet to be explained.
fireworks
yeah dee
except I now in retirement have the leisure to enjoy Babble to the full....
Well done Dee.
And Happy Christmas and New Year to all Babblers
ty... found this grid trickier than yesterday's
me too
me too Dee
although yesterday's last words were tougher
Congrats, Dee!
lots of strange words in this grid
Glad I wasn't the only one; misery loves company LOL. Ty, peach.
ru: nowt hepatic here nor nephritic either
Well, I am off to check emails... have one package that is still not here grrrr
As an adopted Scouser I've done lots of research and it's believed that the original name for Liverpool is Liuerpul. This originated around 1190 as a name, although the reference to water is actually believed to come from the 15th century "Llif" meaning flood in Welsh, which is where the majority of Liverpool's inhabitants migrated from after a large outbreak of plague killed some 95 percent of the then Liverpool inhabitants! Here endeth today's history lesson lol xx
and welll done Dee, missed your FW
ty, flosey!
Have a great eve / day all!
I love this game and learning new things from people.. thanks scouser and worzel
thanks for all the clues. but I clearly need sleep, so for nowm, I give uypu.
be well, all
Interesting, thank you worzel.
Aha worzel - suggest you pay the amazingly cheap life-membership here and make yourself a profile.
night jb.. *tucks jb in*
As to the relevance of the motto it is believed it was chosen because a gentleman called Walter Wainwright chose it for his tombstone (he is buried somewhere near Fazakerley I believe) and he was a founding member of St George's Hall so the committee are alleged to have chosen this in honour of him. No proof though, but sounds plausible to me xx
I thought it was from "levre" i.e. Ang-Norm muddy. I hadn't heard about Mr Wainwright but that is very plausible. Perhaps he went around saying it, pompously?
pool is in general in place names in England derived from the late British or Welsh "Pwll" meaning a pool, an inlet or a pit. In modern Welsh, the name "Lerpwl" is used, based on the English. Another major immigrant group to Liverpool are the Irish, and in Irish the name is "Learpholl". An older Welsh name for Liverpool is "Llynlleifiad", meaning "pool of the floods
Anyway - how is everyone this morning?? xx
I'm smarter.....thanks to you.
a bit better educated, is how i am this a.m.
snap ms. peach
haha - it had nothing to do with me peach and mab - i just find things out and pass them on when needed xx
one is waiting for the horrible weather to disrupt the tenor of Christmas
yes - I'm looking out over the Liverpudlian sky this morning with a certain feeling of angst about me, knowing that it is due to get quite unpleasant from around 10 and that I have to go to the doctor's in this weather!
Take your cue from "if you can see the Welsh hills it is going to rain, and if you can't see them, it already is raining."
Greetings Friends! Hope everyone is well
PS this is a difficult grid I think
Can't see them from this part of Liverpool, but you have made me smile because I used to live in Devon and we used to say that about various landmarks down there!!
Morning pug xx
Hi Wor--are you feeling better now
LIked that, scouser. LOL
Hi there, ms puglet. And how are you this fine morn?
s it still raining?
not really, pug, but thanks for asking - i can't complain though - fracti non frangi as they say . . .
hi pug
besides running late Iam good Peach and you
Hi mab. I don't think I saw you come in. How are you?
I can see a couple of the Clwyd hills.
Hi mab----------------still having belly problems Wor
I'm doing OK, thanks puglet.
i am quite well
Yes pug - still my tummy. It's been six weeks now so I think it's about time I went to the doctor. I just don't like to trouble them when it's probably something and nothing
brb
Is all this rain playing with your joints Peach
It is. We has some rain tonight but supposed to get more and tomorrow also.
thats probally good to do Wor----its been too long and your self doctoring dont seem to be fixing it
we had rain fri-sat and sun----5 inches on sat. alone
I think, Pug, it's more a case that I'm too stubborn to go to the doc. That's why I nearly ended up dying 2 months ago because I ignored the pain. Not your typical man lol
shame on you wor--lol
I just don't see the point in going to the doc unless I've collapsed or something. They're already stretched to the limit. Still, I'll go this morning and see what's what. Anyway, I must dash for a bit, I need some coffee and some nicotine (naughty Worzel) see you all in a bit xx
enjoy your drugs then--lol
dear me worzel definitely go to docs and dont repeat my error when I was 27, in pain but walking-wounded: I nearly died then from peritonitis cos the pain was not continuous.
Has Rose been on yet
haven't seen her yet pugs
Hi flosey and thanks---she was to go to doctor and I was just wondering what she found out
they might have put her back into the hospital
oh dear, hope that hasn't been necessary
me too, but both legs and feet are swollen, so they might
poor dear, she has had so much going on in her life as well as this pain, hope the new year will be happier for her
I do too and I hope the same for all here as well
thanks Pugs, and you too
thanks flosey
cooee. late logging in due to surprise visit from son and his wife. they are going away for christmas, and wanted to say happy christmas before they left. :-)
aha, speaking of angels
Hi Rose, we were just talking about you
hi rose, good to see you
*quick glance over shoulder* who?? me??
I was afraid they may had put you back into the hospital
nice to see your son and wife
Is this braxton's mom and dad
hmmm, over my dead body, pugs...lol. nope, just a whole battery of tests, bloods, ekg, urine...
no, dear, this was my youngest son, josh.
what did they say about the swelling
Hi all :)
doc had a good listen to heart and checked jugular arteries and veins. no murmurs.
hey liz.
That's good, Rose. Legs still swollen?
Hi Liz, have missed you and how did your birthday go
Lovely thanks, pugs. Ate too much!
i have to try and put some extra strong compression stockings on. * giggle * hope don has his strong fingers and hands working tomorrow.
You still have a houseful
how do they expect you to get them on?
No. They all went yesterday. Nice having them here but nice to have some quiet again. Now just all the washing. 6 extra sets of towels ans sheets!
hands starting to swell also, liz. doc checking out everything.
jeezus, liz. glad it's you, and not me
Ooh! Poor thing. Hope they sort it soon for you.
Lol! It was fun. We just sat around chatting and eating, walked on the beach etc.
did you like your son's gf
i am sure it's the trauma of the surgery. having tests down between christmas and new year. will get results at next appointment, 9th january.
Hello grannyrose. Happy Christmas and all best wishes for 2014 to be without major incidents but with lots of fun.
The weather was fantastic the whole time, so when we were home,we sat outside most of the time.
What did you decide about fang over Christmas?
aww, thanx scouser. i am so looking forward to the new year. we can finally start our married life with no-one else in the house. already noticing difference in don's behaviour.
I am so glad it all went well for you Liz---though all the cleaning dont sound so fun
Thanks pugs. How are you and your sister?
liz, we are staying here. not going over to fang's. will try and get her christmas box over to her after christmas.
we are doing great, thanks
Good Rose. So you can rest and just have a lovely time with Don :)
Rose is all the swelling due to holding water?
yes, pugs. i couldn't work out why i was putting on weight, when my appetite is so poor. the doc pointed out all the fluid i am retaining.
So have you been giving something to get rid of the fluid?
so you on water pills now
what you need is a good nurse Rose!
doc has suggested i do a daily weigh. to check if weight is going up too quickly. liz, am on low dose of diuretic at the moment.
thats not good holding all that fluid
io
*giggle* hello mari
Hope the diuretic is effective.
Hi mari, nice to meet you
Hi mari
not effecting my breathing yet, so we are still early days yet.
Is that a common side effect?
breathlessness is a symptom of fluid retention, a while down the track.
Hope it won't get that far!
do you ellivate your upper body when sleeping Rose
hun, as soon as i get that bad, i'm gonna be in the emergency room faster than you can blink.
not really, pugs. and i have to be careful how i position my legs. i use the CPAP machine every night.
If the diuretic isn't effective, I'm sure you'll be back to the doc!
liz, next appointment already made, for post blood tests etc.
Rose do they have air ted-hose there? Kind of like a bllodpressure cup---where you pump air into the sock to make it to the tightness you need
I know you're on top of it all and I bet don won't let it get too far without seeing a doc.
pugs, sequential compression stockings...and yes they do. at least for hospital patients who are having lengthy surgery and a long bed rest post-op.
can you get some for yourself at home
that would be so much easier for you then struggling with those stockings
if i need them...i will....want to see what tests show first...as i sa4, i am pretty sure this is my body's reaction to the trauma of the surgery.
That and just a teeny bit of family stress!
pugs, i need to be able to move around as well. those stockings anchor me to where ever i am.
Okay, will stop worring over you then
*splutter* ya think, liz??
Just say in'!
awww, pugs. i like to know that you care so much, hun
Sayin''
Love the way people are so caring here :)
I got a really late start here and this dosent seem to friendly of a grid
didn't sleep well last night. or the night before. am hoping i will totally zone out tonight.
Is it still so hot down there?
pugs, it isn't too bad. where you stuck, hun?
liz, lovely cool and rain. showers easing off over next couple of days.
no where yet really--been talking and not studing on the grid
That's not bad then. Really hope you sleep tonight.
is 104 temps common there
thanx liz....and pugs, that is the norm for where i live, during summer.
I do not like hot heat like that
brb, going to check on what don is doing...he clunking around MIL's rooms
brb--refill due
FW and now off to bed, busy day tomorrow and off to Vancouver Tuesday and home again Thursday
Congrats flosey. Safe trip and have a lovely Christmas if I don't see you :)

Me too. I miss my babble friends and the grid, when I don't play.
Almost dinner time here. Gone 7.00.

bye and enjoy Liz
Lazy few days I reckon though I did go to the gym today. Think I needed to after all the food!
See you soon pugs. IBBL

okay, sorted through a lot of crystal and old glassware, also china, some royal albert and meakin.
aww, did i miss saying goodnight to liz? :-(
my lord Rose, did she have a whole household of stuff in just two rooms
she said she would be back
it certainly feels like it, pugs.lol
rose. on the first I -I got the flower what is the stats for the other word, please

yay, you, pugs. you rock, hun
how much more do you have to go through yet? A bunch?
you mean in MIL's rooms?
have nearly finished wardrobes. done the bathroom. have gone through all the books. now, obviously working through crystal, glass and china.
Rose, Iam so glad to see you coming back into your old self--I still read between the lines and you are not a 100 percent yet. I hold you in my prayers everyday. (yes in MIL's room)
;-) thanx hun. still needing support. i do so appreciate it.
is it bothering Don having to go through all his mothers things
it doesn't appear to be bothering him. mind you, i have done all the 'personal' stuff for him.
does it bother you then
and he seems to appreciate my advice on other stuff. this is drawing us closer than ever before.
thats very good Rose
not really, pugs. and going through my mother's stuff certainly pulled us siblings closer together.
has Fang stopped bothering you so much over items she wanted
seems to me, fang has missed an ideal opportunity to connect closely with her half-brother.
well I say its her lost then.....does she go to church where you do
fang is only going to get what don will allow her to have. he is still adamant that i should have first choice of MIL's jewellery.
fang only worships at her own idol...herself....she is very vain.
then if there are things you want I say go for it. Is there items Don wants you to keep
thats a shame Rose--I have a sister that money and what she has is the most important thing to her
not sure, pugs. i am encouraging him to keep them for his daughters.
Its funny what money does to some people
please may i have a clue for the di8
i always have had a relaxed attitude to money...now to the despair of don...
di8, di + either/** + **ch, scratch +In Charge. and hello jenny

its interesting that the word biro still hasn't become acceptable
Agree with you, Rolin, i always asked for a biro when i was at school (many years ago now) and everyone used the same word.I know it was also a brand name..but still, it should of been widely excepted by now.
may I ask what a biro is?
Maybe it is..just not woth enable...lol
A pen, Annie.
with*
ah, like a bic
You got it..the pen did have Biro written on it..so i assume was a brand name.
I would think the same
You are up very early, Annie, Hope you are ok.
I just couldn't sleep tonight..was laying about thinking and decided to get up and Babble with a nice cup of coffee
Thanks for asking. I haven't been feeling up to par lately but I think it will pass.
Bless you...hope you manage to get a nice nap later on then to make up for lost sleep :-)
<-----Loves naps.
Biro proprietary name of a type of ball-point pen, 1947, from László BÃró, the Hungarian inventor. The surname means "judge."
LOL, first the dentist, then weekly laundry, then rest...will be okay
morning, o-o..interesting...you are up early
o-o, Is it okay if I print your message today and send it to a friend of mine?
Hello, o-o, Then i have Laszlo Biro, to thank for all my pens :-)
Hello, Annie. Certainly.
Has anyone seen Hurshy?
Not seen her for a while, Annie.

Teehee.. you do know some great words.
Hope everyone is eupeptic today.
Well for me..i feel good...hope you do too :-)
The sleep of reason produces monsters. -Francisco Goya, painter and printmaker (1746-1828)
Good day to all. I was until a few minutes ago, o-o, when I started sipping coffee.
Hello, Scrabs :-)
morning, scrabbs :)
My alarm was set for 6 but I woke up at 447 and have been awake ever since.
I couldn't sleep either, up since 3:30 am
That is early, Scrabs, hope it do4 not ruin your day.
Certainly better than dyspeptic
I couldn't fall asleep either. So I will be tired today, but busy.
Since I have no schedule, early or otherwise are superfluous
Very nice, o-o.
I work 8-12 only, then will shop in town.
Ha the word for making love often used by, Sheldon cooper, the actor in the big bang theory is in the grid again today.
Bazinga!
I do love that comedy.
Haha nice one, Scrabs!
Yes, it is very well-written and acted.
I have the dvd box set of the show...although i have only managed to see a couple of the new series showing on chanel 4 here.
I watch reruns every evening. And Modern Family makes me LOL too.
OMG modern family is very funny..another well writen comedy!
With the reruns I notice the small nuances I previously missed--a aword, a look.
Sorry for typos this keypad will not let me type quickly....so any double letters often do not register.
I watch a Ma and Pa Kettle movie on occasion.
I have used computers with wonky keyboards---grrrr.
This is a keypad for the xbox360, Scrabs..it is useless at typing fast.
Will have to look up that movie on google, o-o
C'mon, o-o, is there anything on TV that you like? I don't watch much, as the pickings are slim, but I have my few shows to watch.
Have not had a working tv since 1998
You are probably better off. I have considered dropping cable TV altogether. My computer can get me what I need and want.
bi6 = prefix for life + involuntary spasm
oo5 is one I usually miss, but not today.

Hello, Lynxxx :-)
Hi Lyn :)

Hi Lynxxx
Hi Zooz & Liz
and Scrabbs!
I must admit i am not finding this grid to be easy.
Me neither.
Some uncommon words.
Just listed with 58 left.
Only have 3 x 7 letters
they have all been a bit like this of late - the first half is easy - and then it hits
ENABLE is an acronym for Enhanced North American Benchmark Lexicon, and attempts to combine several other sources, such as Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, Tenth Edition and the OSPD in order to claim to be definitive. Much of the work embodied in ENABLE involves resolution of ambiguity, particularly of nouns that admit no sensible plural, grammatical inflections, or lexicographical contradictions, such as definitions that appear in Merriam-Webster that use words that are themselves absent from the dictionary.
50 left for later. I must get ready for work. Bye, folks.
Have a good day Scrabbs
bye Sc rabbs - have a good day

halfway, NBT and NBS - time to go out and get some errands done
hagd, wvt.. have those to do too
I am waiting for a patient to show up.
I'm a bit peeved that "rooibos" is not valid ...
What is that word, lil?
I see on Google. Proper name.
I agree with lil... rooibos should be ok... first word I saw
New word for me, bb
Think I've worked out a way I can rate a grid, using math. 4 is the hardest = "Killer", 3 = "Challenger", 2 = Average, 1 = a Breeze. After I tweak it a bit, I will put the rationale on my profile. Ok, sounds a bit OCD, but trying to objectify
T'is a type of tea.
I understand, aloy.
oh oh, just lost connection for a few seconds.. phew, glad it is back
ty Scrabbs.. (-:
Although a 1 for you may be a 2 or 3 for me.
I know, it will vary for each.. like my rating would probably be a joke for those who zip through the grid at the flip and finish in lightning time
I'm the tortoise
so, I just use the # I found after going through the grid and "hitting the wall"
and the verdict on this one?
this grid, for example, came out as a "2" or Average
Hi Owl.
hi scrabs
am going to the list now.. hi TO
how many do you have?
need 29 more, but I needed 33 more before opening chat and getting some clues
i am waiting for workmen and i need to get shopping. they are late.
divide 4 into the total words - that is what I aim for before the list
I need 41
so, 44 for this grid would "earn" the list
so when you are down to 44 yo list?
Gotta go see a baby. My 8 and 830 patients no-showed--siblings.
yes.. depends on the day.. lots to do = hop on the list asap, lazy day = try a bit harder
oh, dont you hate that if you are really booked?
hope baby is ok Scrabbs, hagd
this grid would benefit greatly from an n and better placement of the e
Not good for revenue, not good to lose slots when other kids could be seen. Just a Well Baby Visit, Aloy
Clue for Di8, please?
oh, good
missing that one, Judi.. will look tho
good morning everyone:) nasty freezing rain, foot of snow and more freezing rain today as well. have to cancel crossy's babbler breakfast get together:(( spent most of yesterday evening doing pharmacy runs to get medication to people in our building who could not get their cars from the parking lot to the street
crossy LOVES his jeep;))
You're a one man MASH unit, Crossy!
put my girl in 4 wheel drive and just ground over top of it all:)))
found the di8, thinking of a clue

does your area use salt trucks?

{{crossy}
((ruby))
oh, hi there ruby.. missed your entrance, nice to see you
they do, aloy, so they are keeping the roads manageable at reduced speeds, however, the company that was hired to keep our 100 car parking lot clear is not doing such a fine job.it has not been touched in 2+ days now
eek, and now when it is plowed, the # of spaces will be reduced bc of the mountains of piled dirty snow
it is a true mess. I am now parked right out in the middle of the lane, since as it stands right now, there is only one other guy in this building who has a large 4x4 truck who can make it to the street, other than myself
low to the ground cars just can't handle it
lose mufflers
myself and the other fella put up a notice on the bulleten board to offer grocery runs etc,so I am not sure how much I will be babbling, but all is quiet so far
aww, that was really nice of the two of you
everyone must pay it forward.makes for a nicer community
so true
we are expecting the plow contractor for the parking lot today. I think the building owners bent his ear hard
like, show up or ship out?
my son is out there now with a few other teens from the building chiseling ice from peoples cars
he better show up!
love it when I monkey something for fun and it turns out to be acceptable! Just happened with li6.21

ty got it.
lol,it is good to bitch at the cable company once in a while. was set to cancel my land line to save 50 a month and it rattled them so much they send my call to customer retention dept , there they offered me 25 off my land line,25 off my cell and 15 off my internet so i would keep my package
yes, the people who call to cancel get the best deals, not the loyal long-term customers...
i have been with rogers 25 year..think that is long time:)
long term if i do say so myself:))
i just adjust the package now and then to fit my needs, not theirs
Time-Warner didn't give me any discount when I called several months ago about the price. :-(
morning,
yes, crossy, but you would not have been offered the better deal if you had not threatened to cancel...
have heard of time-warner but they are not this far north.here is is Rogers or bell express-vue
true,penquis,but it is my perrogative
of course....my brother got a much better phone deal when he threatened to cancel....and my niece got a better satellite deal when she called to cancel....
it is within my right to cancel,or add any service i please
well, you have 2 choices, pay what your are paying and be content or try to custom fit your service to get best value for services rendered
of course, just as it's the company's right not to offer better deals to those who don't call to cancel... ;o)
well,it is your choice in the end ,penquis
if you find your cable/phone/internet service too expensive, you also are well within your rights to try and negotiate a better deal as well.
they are not just going to phone you out of the blue and say "hey,we are chopping 100 dollars off your bill"
be that proactive consumer!:)))
you are correct about that...
co5?
and now it is time for crossy's tidbit of the day. now i cannot verify this as being 100% accurate, but just the thought of it makes one wonder how much our news and the information we are given on a day to day basis is being sanitized to further someone political agenda... http://tinyurl.com/khbxvne
co 5/16 change one letter of a snake
and plural for the 6
thanks
yw
so,if you want to see all seven episodes of frozen planet, you will have to wath it on BBC and not an American station:)

Hi crossy - we poured concrete on Weds, snow on Thu. We're about to unwrap the blankets and insulation this morning to see how it went.
hope it did not crack, rast
we used to cover with poly then toss a bunch of loose hay overtop]
we hope so too. only got down to the 20ish.
mmm,say a prayer then.if it cracked,it all has to go
though 20f is not too bad
the concrete guys weren't too worried about this one. But one pier the tarp blew off and the insulation came off one side for a day before I found it and coverd it up again, so I'm a tad worried about that one.

The term logomisia (from the Greek for "word hatred") refers to a strong dislike for a word or phrase based on its sound, meaning, usage, or associations. And it's clear from readers' responses to last year's list that many of you have experienced such word aversion.
qaltera means the same thing, but i have to fly, bye
Hello everybody. May I wish those who celebrate it, the merriest, happiest & most peaceful of Christmasses.
Hello and thank you. Another quiet chat day.
Hi o-o.
Quiet can sometimes be good.
So is leaving
K. Bye o-o.
Merry Christmas to you, too, Soodle...
Thanks Pen. Only 2 more sleeps.....

Good evening folks
this Grid speaks a lot of Hebrew.
hi...
too many vowels in this grid...

They aren't words. Also, my kittens do walk on the keybord.

Kittens like to type
<---- Soodle at her happiest when all the chicks are under the one roof. Of course, they squabble like baby sparrows, but I'm happy. 😄
My daughter has to work on Christmas eve and on Christmas. Bah humbug!
where- hospital or walmart?
No, group home for the intellectually disabled. You would think the families would take them for the holiday
They squabble, they eat me out of house & home, they drink every drop of alcohol in the house, they leave every light in the house on, they use every towel, ONCE, they demand to be ferried into the local town at the most inconvenient times. And I still love it! I guess I'm an Irish Mammy!
lol...
how many children do you have, Soodle?
The force that makes the winter grow Its feathered hexagons of snow, and drives the bee to match at home Their calculated honeycomb, Is abacus and rose combined. An icy sweetness fills my mind, A sense that under thing and wing Lies, taut yet living, coiled, the spring. ~ Jacob Bronowski
3 of them, Peri. A boy of 23 who lives & works in the UK. A girl who will be 22, 4 days after Christmas, & my baby girl, who is 18. Fan. Tas.Tic kids, but high maintenance!
I am glad you are happy with them
soodle, i'm confused a little: your son works where?
i mean, being irish do you not feel a part of the UK? is it a political issue?
my understanding of irish geohistory is very poor.
Ooooh! Its a bit like the USA& Canada, or Australia & New Zealand, Mab. Ireland is an independent (well all but 6 counties) FreeState. There's a huge amount of history preceding the current situation. Sad to say, the Nimosity is ongoing in certain quarters.
Emm 'animosity'!!
oh of course. i'm sorry. so stupid. wiki tells me you have been independent since 1922. you'd have thought i'd notice.
northern ireland is uk.
Where in New England are you from mab?
anyway.... it sounds like you will have a lovely, lively warm holiday!
massachusetts.
Lots of Irish in MA
Well done for checking it out Mab. :-). Happy Christmas. :-)
hint for the it 6, pls
*Puts self in straight jacket*
there are lots of people with irish ancestry in mass. i am not a native and have no irish background sadly.
Hi Molly, Merry Christmas
nm, monkeyed it
Hi Bich, Merry Christmas to you and your handsome husband.
Hi Molly.
Let's not let that go to his head <ggg>
merry christmas, molly, bichon, mab, and Soodle!
molly types so well even though straight jacketed :)
a peaceful holiday to all
This handsome husband of yours, Bich..... Tell me more?
He was on a TV game show and Molly saw him on line. He is handsome and omniscient
and a game show star!
He's been on a few. He just eats it up
distinguished looking... i saw him, too!
At work [Un iversity library] he's known as "the man who knows everything"
Molly, I am fostering a couple of Bichons and they were on national TV on Friday
that's what i thought of my ex husband who is a librarian. and he does.
If he doesn't know it, he knows where to look it up
that is so my ex too. i love that.
Of course! I remember now. I was on Babble as it unfolded. I just never got to see him. Sheesh! It must be a bit tricky being married to a chap who knows everything. I used to be married to a man who THOUGHT he knew everything.... Different scenario. Lol
I have to keep him in line sometimes
he is not a babble player?
Moll, did you get my card,
why were the foster dogs on tv? (tv star foster dogs)
No, but sometimes he looks over my shoulder. We have played Boggle against each other
The national rescue organization is on "Fox and Friends" every year around this time. I'm not that far from New York and have had fosters in December.
such a nice breed.

Got my balcony pulled together and it looks GREAT! Combo lattice panels and palm trees (and one bamboo tree). Looks great in the daytime and at night my solar lights look like they are floating in the air...great effect.
Oh, the trees are silk...no mess, no watering.
yaa for your new balcony!
And hello everyone----sorry...I'm really tired.
I'm hoping Santa brings me a camera for Christmas and I'll take pictures and post them. I had been planning and comparison shopping for this for 5 months! The cats are a bit timid but they'll get used to it quickly.
my balcony looks like the polar ice caps4 feet of snow, with wind blown drifts coming half way up the windows. I think I may look for a plastic penguin to put out there:)
Not exactly a winter wonderland, huh, crossy?!!
do you get a bit of a break now, mimi?
oh,it is pretty in its way..till I have to go out there for an hour and move it around with the snow shovel
Nope...worked 8 hours today and will do so again tomorrow. We'll see about Thurs. and Fri...don't know if they'll come in and dictate. I must be feeling better because I have gotten a lot done and much of it physically intense...hurray for supplementing CoQ10!
that or a nice stick of dynamite or 2 is not entirely out of the question;)
LOL, crossy.
I wanted to make an igloo out there, but the mrs said no
wrong type of snow anyways
I think that sounds like a great idea! Or, you could make a small ice palace and store your vodka in holes in the walls!
lol
a well made igloo is a fun thing anyways
I really do like that idea, crossy. Wouldn't work here, though. I sometimes miss snow...but get over it quickly!
hehe
Well, I'm exhausted and done for tonight...gotta have a martini and lie down. Have a good evening and hugs all around (with special hug and empathy for crossy in time of dental distress).
Oh, I'm making roasted brussels sprouts with caramelized roasted shallots to take to Christmas dinner at my son's....yum.
mmm,brussel snouts with butter
have a good night ((mimi))
With visions of playing with Christmas toys with my grandsons dancing in my head...you, too ((crossy))

hey all -- how's the leg today?
Fine thanks - How's yours?
cooee everyone.
LOL hey tor -- meant that for Bugs... (((GR)))
And my leg is doing pretty well. As long as Tom sets it every day it hardly ever hurts.
ohh, bugs has a sore leg? what happened?
cooee, rose :-)
hey stiddy, une, ruru, tor, bugs
Bugs shattered an ankle in November, GR. She's pretty well laid up until further notice
how's your leg, GR?
you'll never believe it!! we are ready for christmas.!! MAJOR OUCH bugs, i know how that feels. you poor thing.
LOL you have the suntan lotion and the barbeque ready, GR?
stiddy, have put on higher compression stockings today....well don put them on me. big difference.
We have our rain gear, chains in the back of the car and hot egg nog fixin's...
stiddy, it is shaping up to perfect weather here.
NICE! Do you feel better, GR? I know that sometimes just keeping the pressure up makes things feel a lot more normal
well i'm peeing more...so i guess that means i am better. did sleep last night too.
yes, that means your body is deciding it doesn't have to hoard everything...
bugs, what has been done about the fracture?
I don't think she's here at the moment, GR
stiddy, i did a little supermarket shop yesterday. and i mean a little. just in from the car, went straight to what i wanted, then out again. boy...i think every nerve and muscle connected to the knee let me know what a bad move that was.lol.
i'm pretty sure it was walking on the concrete floors. they are so unforgiving.
oh boy... but at least you felt well enough to push yourself, even if it was a little too soon! *approving mama look* So you'll be taking it easy the rest of the week, right? And letting other people do the standing/cooking/lifting/moving? RIGHT??? *stern mama look*
no need for *stern mama look*..lolol....i am so just gonna let everyone else do the running around. not even going to attempt anything other than lifting a glass of chilled chardy to my lips.
hmmm... is a tiny bit of alcohol okay with your meds? I don't usually drink anything myself, but occasionally when I am hurting I have to remember not to even have a little bit if I am taking some of the stronger stuff.
well i'm not driving a car, and certainly not operating any heavy machinery...unless you want to classify don as heavy machinery.
rofl!!!! poor don...
stiddy, how are the allergies? * giggle* yeah, i know. i so give him heaps...
am NEVER gonna stop flirting with him..it is so much fun.
hi all. back for the flip.
My allergies are driving me crazy. I keep thinking I am okay and then I eat something that should be innocuous and feel really awful. It's like the last big exposure has triggered all kinds of things that I am usually not at all sensitive to. It's frustrating.
hey mkg!
Anyway, I am using my inhaler about once a day or so after not using it at all for months.
378. No S. no E. three Xs.
hey mkg. stiddy, that is what i found when i was tested all those years ago.
159
stid i am also very allergic. not to foods but to AIR. pollen, trees, dust, mold, etc.
hey harpjane!
i have several things to which i am only slightly allergic
i am very allergic to cats and most animals too.
