hmm ni4 - louse eggs - have such a huge outbreak of lice in schools here - spent all afternoon treating g/daughter with very long thick hair
ick, ursh... nasty task
no jbp
ext of se 6 - calm, sedate state
ok, will get my monkeys on it
sure fire way to get rid of lice and nits -- give the hair a perm and they are chemically fried
oohhhhmmm, thanks Dee
ditto for hair color. but it's not great for the hair or the scalp
hmm nan dont think 6 - 10 - 11 and 14yr olds will accept having a perm :))
they'd love a new hair colour though!
10 to go
haha imagine the parents if i send them home with a different hair colour - but then again could choose a colour close to their natural !!
ruru! ruru! ruru!
just roll hair and apply solution - don't neutralize, but shampoo 3 or 4 times and hair will remain straight ( either that or just comb perm solution through the hair, let it sit for 20 minutes, comb through neutralizer and rinse_
I'm stopping w/ 75 left. Have a splendid eve/morn where ever you are...........
oh good idea nan - will suggest to parents

finally found my missing m
wtg... missing 3 m's :(
ooohhh key Les Miz character is in the grid
cool une
:-d
Greetings Friends
hi pug
I would think just 10 minutes with the perm solution would do the trick (will take out any natural wave though) and they should use a really good conditioner afterwards -- morocco oil, maybe.
hey pugs
Hi Une,Dee,Nan,Ruru and jbp
finally m's mutilated :)
kudos, dee!
ty
stuck
down to 15 ...
Public Health here says all you have to do to kill the lice is slather the hair with conditioner and leave it on long enough to suffocate the bugs. Still have to comb the eggs tho
well done Dee and Ruru
Hi Bugsaw
we never found the conditioner trick to work... had to use rid or the prescription liquid...

Next time we get you a skateboard

I still can't believe you walked down those hills.
I wouldn't even try to do it any more.

Night Flosey and Ruru
sweet dreams, flosey. i hope you rest well, hun
*sigh* have spent most of today on the bed. feet look good. but i wanna get up...compression stockings do not help.
you can get up in due time
rose, I seem to have missed out on what's ailing you now -- why are you in bed? Did the op not work out?
jilli, we are having very warm weather he4. my feet keep swelling, and the only way to stop this, is for me to retreat to my bed for the day.
she has to be good, thats whats ailing her--lol
oh, of course, the heat there is way up.
as the temperatures over there are way down.
not where I am, rose :-)
i hope that is a good thing for you, jilli.
Oh yes -- this is the banana belt of Canada. We're supposed to get a bit cooler next week, with rain and showers here and snow in the mountains for the skiiers. Does the thought of that cool you down?
along with all the lovely cold desserts and pics pugs has sent me...yes thanx. we have moved into the aircon. rooms which were the MIL's. they are now our bed-sit, dressing room, and bathroom.
its so cold here this morning it keeps kicking me off the internet
alas, the psychotic canary is now right outside our bedroom door. and doesn't he know it!!
well, bless the late MIL!
ugh, pugs...not good, dear.
teehee, rose!
my goodness, pug!
we are under a weather alert for sub-zero temps until wed. afternoon or later
i didn't know you could be nagged by a bird....
you should have this darn turkey! He follows you around trying to flog you :(
*giggle* pugs... a turkey?? my goodness!
well, pugs, as a forner Montrealer, you have my sympathy but I remember going skiing at -25 F and survivng.
that was minus 25, i.e. 25 below zero Fahrenheit.
Iam sure you were very well dressed for it, Jilli, werent you
Rose, have you ever been in cold temps like that
oh yes, but my feet got frost-bitten on the ski-boots, ouch.
never, pugs, and thinking i will avoid it as much as i can.
In the ski-boots
I bet that did hurt Jilli
Hi all :)
Hello Mis Liz
How are you all today?
hi Liz
Jilli, I want to ask you a question about the danes if you dont mind
go ahead, pug
I feel like a million dollars this morning--LOL and how are you Liz
Wonderful thanks - sitting here with red dye on my hair!!
Glad you're feeling good today, pugs :)
Danes that are born white are they prone to blindness and deafness like boxers
like the bright red punk dye? lol
yes, pug
Could be but hopefully not - I dye my hair a copper red colour - blond highlights.
thank you, I was just wondering
sounds nice, liz :-)
It's been this sort of colour for years!
is red your natural color Liz
g'day liz
Hi Rose :)
why, pug? White Danes come from harlequin breeding, the genetics of which have recently become understood, and now it should be easier for ethical breeders to avoid producing them.
My natural hair used to be very dark brown - with quite a bit of red in it. Nothing like that now though - started going grey in my 30s!
So you're auburn, liz? Lovely colour.
I just seen some White Danes and having white boxers in the pass with those problems I was just wondering if they were effected by those birth defects
where did you see white d
It fades really quickly in the sun here though :(
on the computer here of pics of great danes
I think it was under bing images
oh -- well, some of them may have a black spot or two, so may not be affected.
stats for the 8s please?
Haven't listed yet.
in7 & 8 and en the same
Thanks Jilli - I'll get looking!
Well, that was easier than expected - though I'd never have tried that word with an in beginning!
I know with the boxers many breeders put white pups down for those reasons
same here, liz
I think it helped that I had the word it builds on.
dinner ready. bbl xoxox
Bon appétit, Rose.
enjoy Rose
enjoy, rose xx
Not finding words jumping out at me this evening!
over halfway -- now I can go to bed -- farewell, all...*poof
Sleep well Jilli
night Jilli
Are you keeping warm in this awful weather you're having, Pugs?
Yes, so far
Has the snow eased up at all?
Ooops! Hadn't seen that word!
we are to have a warm up by the week end and Iam looking forward to that--up in the 30's
So above freezing! Bet that'll feel good.
When does the court sit?
snow has stopped but first of new week a winter mix is coming in
it will!
Is you know who keeping out of your way?
I think its the 2nd or 3rd
yes most of the time--lol
GOOD! Deliberate caps!
How are things with you
All's good here - life continues in its usual way with no traumas. I'm really very lucky.
yes you are and Iam happy for you
Thanks. I see all the problems others have and I feel a bit embarrassed about my lovely life!
brb, need to take the pug out
Dont feel like that Liz, enjoy it for you never know the changes the lofe brings from one day to the next
that life--sorry
this cold is laying a number on my internet. It keeps coming and going
will return later if my internet gets better
see you tomorrow, pugs
Phantom ornament
g'day mel
okay, i'm outta he4. if anyone sees sprite or rubyfoo, please say hello for me. xoxox
good morning all :)
good morning!
hi ruby :)
I guwss we have to say heo to each other, sprite lol
{{sprit}} how are you feeling?
lol yes, looks like pug lost her internet again, poor gal
or even sprite* or maybe spirit
a bit wobbly still, but otherwise ok. And you?
it is very cold here (not like the US), but very sunny so I can't complain
and I feel fine, just on the edge of committing a murder!
ah, that is good winter weather. Nothing like the winter sun to make us feel better, is there.
and every day th light last longer, quell plaisir/1
too true. We have a saying in the netherlands, that when the nights become longer, the nights become colder: Als de dagen lengen, gaan de nachten strengen.
we were out earlier and my hands are so cold that I can barely type. Pls forgive all the typos
np ruby
I love seeing Dutch; I can sort of hear it in my head, mispronounced surely, but still very nice
:) Your knowledge of Yiddish will help, I think
maybe, but that is a very thin knowledge, just the loving words my mother used, e.g. shayna madelah (sp?) -- no idea of the spelling, but I can he** her voice
aww that is so sweet, ruby. Good memories.
good morning all.. think i may have flu...:(
I am very fortunate
oh dear, poor ivesy :(
woke up with very very bad headache and am throwing up...shaky...dont like it...
{{ivesy}} what can we do except end you are warm wishes and hugs
sounds like a migraine
doesn't sound at all good, ivesy. Bucket next to the bed, lots of water/tea and stay warm, I think... will send you lots of loving healing vibes
ream
ty both... am trying to keep some plain crackers down.. will c how that goes.. .even coffee sounds awful lol
I hope your stomach will settle soonest, ivesy, so you can rest.
think i may stay home from work.....lol
errrrr yes, that might be a good idea, lol
lol....
are you in bed now?
sitting at desk with heating pad on back of head ..but am going back to bed soon.. cant lie down my head hurts too much
that is so awful :( I hope you will feel good enough to lie down at least very soon.
hoping it will ease up soon, usually the heat helps it, .
wish we could do more, ivesy
Hello everyone. That sounds bad Ivesy - should you ring the doctor at least?
dothey still prescribe ergot for migraines, or is it too old-fashioned?
{{lynx}} hello and good bye. Time to go to lunch
hi lyn :) xxx
bye ruby, enjoy your lunch
hi Sprite - are you better/over your flu?
oh ty.. sprite....dr. would prob say go to er.. i am diabetic so have to watch my sugar levels.. will give it a bit, see what happens. .
bye ruby..hagd
feel better {{ivesey}}
yes lyn, it is behind me now. Bit wobbly on the stem still, lol, but otherwise good. Thanks for asking. How are you today?
Take care Ivesy - with that much pain your body is trying to tell you something
glad u feelin better sprite..
thanks ivesy. I wonder, can't the doctor visit you? Either driving or sitting in the er doesn't seem possible to me, with such a headache.
our drs. dont make house calls..if had to go to er my friend would take me.if headache doesnt ease soon i will def go to er..
I am well - we have just started another run of stinking hot days (except for tomorrow) - the only good thing is that the temperature is dropping down at nights. I don't handle heat well - my face and neck dry up really very badly a couple of weeks ago
u could have some of ourcold air lynxx it is 2 degrees here, with a -20 windchill
if you have to go, ivesy, bring something to shade your eyes. How lousy that doctors don't make housecalls there.
dry = dried
k. going to try to lie down... tc all..
swap for our 100+ Ivesy
oh lyn, how very unpleasant :( Am glad that rose has managed to move into the airconditioned room then.
all the best, ivesy. *hug*
bye Ivesy - don't be too brave
fireflies. Bye all, have a blessed day and a (cool) and peaceful night!
bye Sprite - have a good day
Clue please for re 7/28
good morning everyone
Hi all :)
howdy liz
Quiet here today.
Hi, everyone! Now that I'm here, Liz, you can just kiss quiet goodbye!
Happy to see you Mimi, with your new icon :)
Hope that you'll have a better day today.
Thanks, Liz...cute little panther cub waving hello. Yep...doing fine now.
Hey there ((crossy))
a quick crossy tidbit of the day. For those still using Windows XP, please take note that Microsoft will end support for this operating system as of April 8th 2014
((mimi))
Liz..your icon and mine could be playmates!
They could - all animals here again!
arrroooo!
Kind of makes me long for my days working at the wildlife park and the zoos.
How sad am I? I can he4 Hermione in Werewolf mode from Harry Potter!
Not a bad thing, Liz...LOVE all things Harry Potter and especially crazy about Hermione.
Also love Harry Potter - loved the books before the films. HP was responsible for a number of reluctant boy readers to begin reading!
Really grew attached to Luna as well. And Alan Rickman...well, he's a genius. He was the BEST part of Kevin Costner's Robin Hood movie...so hysterically funny in that.
I adore Alan Rickman's voice - very sexy!
Oh, yes, I agree. I find him fascinating. He was also delightfully bad in Die Hard.
My beloveds heart still goes pitty-pat over Sean Connery's voice
Sean Connery---pardon me while I swoon. The one who really got to me the most was Adrian Paul from The Highlander series...have them all on Netflix....first thing I added when I got the Roku.
Good actor - loved him in Highlander!
So, who do you swoon over, crossy...besides your beloved?
OK Mimi - other similarities!!!
"I will cut his heart out with a spoon!!!" "why a spoon milord?" "because it will hurt more!!"
So evil!
my wifes latest fling is with Linclon from Prison break
But what about you???
crossy? swoon? well...
Don't have a clue why but a few nights ago I dreamed I was married to Hugh Jackman...and he was not kind to me...my mind is very weird, even sleeping.
Kylie Minogue does has a cute tushie..man.. you could crack eggs on that thing.. lol
It's his steel bones, Mimi!
Probably not steel but can't remember what metal it was. X-Men of course!
At least you live on the same continent!
Loved him in Les Miserables...and, wow, did Anne Hathaway do a great job in that!
Don't think he lives in Aus any more.
Yes I enjoyed Les Mis.
I thought Hugh Jackman was gay....lol
I think they still have their house there but also live here...not sure.
my faves are Idri Elba and Viggo Mortensen, tlk about od taste....
Hi Ruby - hugs
And hello everybody
Idris*
Wouldn't the world be boring if we all had the same taste.
good morning
{{annie}}
((ruby)) How's life?
No, Ruby--he's quite hetero. Remember when we used to say all the good ones were married? Now we say many of the good ones are gay! (They probably were then, too, but hid it.)
problem with the female actresses I used to droll over is that enough time has gone by that now they have all had so many face lifts or lip plumps, they look like a deer caught in the headlights that have the lips of a carp
Hi, Annie!
Hi Annie.
Loved Viggo Mortensen in LOTR
((ruby))
drool*
Hi Liz, Mimi and crossy
howdy annie..ahh nothing like the first tea of the day
Aging is not kind to most women. Not fair. As men age they become distinguished...we become hags.
I saw hugh jackman on broadway, he was marvelous and talked to the audience afterwards
I haven't seen that but he was great as a Russian Gangster in one movie and in the History of Violence. Also, I spotted him as a teenager in The Witness. Small part and I think he was a teenager
I have this wonderful salt and pepper thing going mimi:)) crossy gains ten iq points every month:)) all the 25 year old hotties in class come to me for help..think it is a daddy complex myself lol
Oh, yes,Viggo made the blood warm in LOTR!!
My sister saw Hugh Jackman on Broadway and "fell in love" I guess it's the Lipton Tea commercial that made me think that when he dances to "You could be dancing"
Just googled him in Witness - i'd never noticed him there before but seeing the pic .. so obvious!
but Idris Elba!!! Small part in The Big C and magniqifique in Luther
And he was in that movie with Gwyneth Paltrow and Michael Douglas...cannot remember the title but had to do with murder.
Loved Luther, ruby.
Did they show all 3 seqasons, Mimi?
{{crossy}} I forgot to give you my special Tuesday hello
lol, mimi, the hag vs distinguished thing. that is to make up for the first 25 years of making us guys jump through faming hoops and barking on command lol
flaming
my ruby Tuesday:))
have any of you seen Faye Dunaway lately? She is really scary-looking in her cameo role on Sopranos
does a faming hoop make you famous?
it does indeed:)
Saw her on a chat show not so long ago - very plastic!
Nope...just one season, ruby...maybe they'll get the rest later. Am totally loving Australian TV shows now, though.
Fay Dunaway?? she still roaming the earth? lol
Really Mimi - which?
She kind of looks like she did in the makeup for when she played Joan Crawford.
The only Aussie shows we've really enjoyed are the Underbelly series.
and her teeth! If they do a remake of Jaws, she could star
If any actress aged badly, it was Bette Davis
well, the gums can only retreat so far, ruby lol
We both love BBC series
We also watch a fair number of UK series. Currently enjoying The Hour.
Loved Outrageous Fortune and now watching City Homicide and Scott and Bailey.
Haven't seen those.
And New Zealand did an excellent job on Top of the Lake..I've watched it a couple of times. Beautiful scenery in that one.
we get most series after one or two years. Did they run The Americans in the US?
I think I enjoyed Top of the Lake more than my hubby - because of this, we never saw the whole series :(
It's available on DVD, ruby, but not on streaming.
You should watch it all by yourself, then, Liz...very powerful at the end.
If it's repeated, I'll record it and do that.
the problem he** is that I have to find English[language shows with Fr subtitles. Husband "reads" the programs
Is much subtitled?
there's usually something each night
and if he doesn't like it, he just goes to sleep --the least of my worries lol
Gotta get to work. Fun talking show biz today! Panther cub now waving goodbye...and hugs all around.
{{mimi}}
Hugs Mimi - have a good day. I'm also off now - been through the list once and leaving 34 for tomorrow. Hugs all.
Of course, now I'll be thinking about all those great-looking men!!!
bye Liz and Mimi
Crossy, are you still here? Wanted to tell you something.
*woof*
Guess not...will catch crossy later...bye again.
crossy is back..drifed off there for a second

Hello, Annie
Morning, o-o.

tadone!! finito! and hello, annie, pug, o-o, Molly
YAY for dawg !!!
er7, sex
I seen where Crossy says they are going to stop supporting windows xp, this is what I have and what does that mean for me
Hi ib and congrats
I have windows xp also
Hi Bea
basically it means you wont get any more updates or patches to fix your operating system.
HI, pug.
do you know what that means Annie
hiya bzzz
crap
so our computers will no longer work
pugs, I am computer illiterate
me too Annie
Will we still be able to use windows xp without a problem?
it means MS is trying to push businesses into going to 8. which means new works for everyone
They will work, pug. You just won't be able to update xp.
how important is that
Bea, will I still be able to send and receive emails?
you'll be able to use it up to a point, where nothing wants to work with the XP system. which may not be too long considereing XP is 3 generations behind what is being used now.
yes.
you will be able to use it(make sure you have service pack 3 downloaded) but as problems crop up in the future, your ownly recourse would be to sys restore or wide the os clean and re-install with a saved copy with sp 3 slipstreamed into it
or wipe*
crossy, in english please
you may be able to carry on for a surprisingly long time
so we need new computers then
but I advise win 7 sooner than later
thanks, that's english
i.e. keep an IT guy in your pocket
no,not new computers, a new os
unless your coputer is over the 8 year mark I would say
I already get I need to up date browser and cant
skip vista! do not use Vista!! VISTA is pooh!
computer*
is that very costly Crossy
STAY AWAY FROM VISTA!
what is a good operating system
then what do we ask for
you can ask for a builders copy of win 7 and computer store for around 80 dollars
have win 7 on laptop but xp on old tower
I will have to get my sil to do this for me
just tell them you and your son put a rig together over the weekend
I found Windows 8 annoying to learn. Too many unnecessary changes. 8.1 isn't much better.
I do not like 8
shop around, for an upgrade for windows. for those who will have to have someone else build or replace their system,
I'm not excited about 8. I have to teach on it in a couple weeks. :(
win 7 is the way to go for sure
is there a windows 7 xp
well, off to classes for me. tc all and happy babbling
no there is not,puglet...real poink!
thanks Crossy
I wish they would have left 8 alone for tablets and laptops. they sux for pc's
thanks everyone for all the imfo
you learn a lot in babbleland
What I don't get about 8 is, why design a tablet format for PC's and laptops?
when we change to 7, will we lose everything we have on xp
I never understood that either, Molly.
The most bone headed thing they did with 8 is the revamp of the Start menu.
I think the trend then was to be more mobile, and touch screens were the rave. what they didn't consider was us older users who aren't as mobile and into all the touchy stuff.
hello and does anyone run 8.1?
Well said LBD. Like I want fingerprints all over my computer screen.
7 is mostly a bunch of extra bells and whistles. you soon learn to ignore them, as they are not as intrusive as once believed.
I run 8.1 TO
did that restore the start menu? i am computer shoppin
Fingerprints on the computer screen....<shudder>
i shudder in sympathy
It changed the Start menu. But it still doesn't pop up from the Windows icon in the bottom left of the screen like it has for years in Windows.
what becomes expensive is replacing other programs to use on the new os. office suite, can run up into a couple hundred.
i run xp and it is kaput. started as a bad product
Back in simpler times, computers CAME with Office Suite
lots of patchwork for xp, but they got the bugs worked out primarily for business applications. which in turn, worked out for the home user.
they come with 60 day usage of it now, Molly
i bought the latest in june 2011 and dell tells me it will runfine on a new pc
sorry, make that 2012.
i thought most come with office student
I haven't bought a student program in forever. I usually buy a home use or professional, depending on who's paying for it! lol
i've never worked with student and don't know how it differs from regular ms suite
If done correctly, pug, you can save what you currently have and reinstall with the new operating system. My suggestion is for you to call your computer manufacturer to see if the manufacturer will help you. If not, places like Best Buy might be able to help you. It may turn out getting a newer computer might be the most viable and transferring what you want to save to the new one. It would be helpful if a friend or relative is a available to translate what might have trouble understanding.
I'd have to ask one of my students to see if they got suite for free, but I rather doubt it, as MS wants to make money!!
my laptop is circa 2008/0
Don't go to Best Buy unless you personally know the Technicians. They are a rip off, especially if you appear to be a novice.
bbl, time for brekkies
This is very confusing
thank you OO, I will start exploring ---I dont want to lose my babble membership-
Will we still be able to open Babble on the old system?
I dont have anyone to help me so I will have to call my computer fix-it man
At least for the time being, Annie.
Annie do you have anyone to ask for help
I think my sil but he lives in Conn. and I really dont want to bother him
I think Crossy said this is happening in April sometime
pug, if sprite will agree, perhaps you she and the fix-it guy can do a three way call.
Yes, he did.
what is happening in april? i came in in the middle of this
thats a good ideal OO----thanks
Owl, that Microsoft will not support windows xp anymore starting in april
that;s all I know
what gets me is trying to find someone thats trustworthy and not just out for a buck and I know so little is this area
i don't think they support it now. i've missed updates that are no loner available. this is why i am laptop shopping. and i do beleive dell makes non touch models
pug, that is a problem. are you trying to hang on to your old hardware?
Owl, I am also
OO, do you have xp or up to date computer
well Owl its more like I need to save up the money to up grade
dell will tell you what you need no obligation. but just buying new will solve many problems for the casual user.
i see, pug. it is not cheap
I know---I may have to break down and sell my saddle and horse cart--lol (but its not really funny)
I have Windows 7 Ultimate ... I am leery of Windows 8 and 8.1
You can get a new laptop for what you will end up paying for computer tech fees and new software. As long as you are not a gamer that requires the expensive bells and whistles.
I think my computer is a windows 96 xp so it is old and I got it used a few years ago
pug, some companies sell refurbished computers that have been restored to almost new at considerable savings. Just a thought.
if you live near a university you an often pick up used cheap
I paid $150 for a computer I used for three years.
also via overnment aenies who lease them
Okay, OO--Iam just going to have to do some studing and learn what I can and call to get some ideals and so on-----did you get it over the internet OO
pug, Molly makes a good point. My thought was to give you some options so you can do what works best for you.
Overstock.com
okay OO and thanks to you and the others that have helped too. At my computer store, they do sell computers and laptops that they have redone that people have traded in
one more question, are there different types of 7's
Yes, three version ... Ultimate is the costliest but most functional
Depends what you use your computer for .. windows 7 home edition may be fine for your needs
I just mainly play here.Fb and a couple of other places. I dont bank or anything like that from my computer
I was wrong: Windows 7, a major release of the Microsoft Windows, is available in six different editions (Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate). Only Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate are widely available at retailers.
is the professional simular to xp
More advanced, pug.
so its more like the middle ground then
I dont have any extras(like scanner or printer or cameras that needs to be hooked up
Like with any different operating system, takes some time to get familiar to it. I think Home Premium would work for you ... make sure anything get includes service packs to update and correct problems with the original releases.
Okay, OO
Will I have to renew my membership on Babble here. Nothing else do I have that I need to save
No, just remember user name and password
No, you can sign into Babble from any computer using your user name and password.
thank you both
Good morning, fellow planet dwellers!

Hi all
Hi, Bichon
hi bichon
Glad to be here. Inside. Just came back from walking the fluffs and it sure is bitter out
my poor dog isn't getting any walks.
just being let out back...
So where is he doing the deed?
I don't have a fenced in yard and they'd be all over the neighborhood
You can send some of the snow here...really worried about a draught
drought here too
I know about that kj. Everytime my kids talk about the beautiful weather in the Bay Area, I bring up the drought
All of my neighbors with dogs have yellow snow because it's so cold they run out, let the dog pee and run back inside.
es, my circle has a ring of pee
re 7/28?
re + double consonant + enzyme ending
Some sun today.
I have no idea what color my neighbor's snow is...
Yes kje, quite aware. Had a friend in Sacramento bragging about the warmth and that he was in his pool. Someone reminded him that he might be having to drink the water from the pool here soon..LOL
fw
WooT WooT WooT kje!!
Woot kj
good for you, kje. Still trying to figure out that RE 7 clue... everything I try doesn't work.
it hasn't been warm enough for pool weather
unless he has a heated pool
He does
re7 - first 4 of cheese making need + enzyme ending
uses upper r
or should have said starts with upper r
it uses both of the n's right?
yes
then small comparative word + vowel
fa 7, pls
plural the 6 before it
tried that already. What's wrong with me?
ty phan
so that ending is still giving me fits.
or... Stimpy's partner + Chloride's partner + start of body of water
the 3 letter ending is anagram of body of water, phan
freshly cut flowers are often placed in a v***
there is only one possible combo that works!
oh! I was going the wrong way!
feeling really dense...
<--------should admit her density issues are matched to phand!
must run... happy babbling!

Thanks, Jilly, it feels good to not be alone!

3 left
and done!
phan, are you voluntering with hospice?
I am!
are you liking it? where are you volunteering?
well, I haven't started just yet. I need to go to employee health and prove I have the TB test and flu shot and I need to get an ID badge. It has been way to cold to venture out, so...
I will be volunteering doing patient/family care. (but not in a nursing capacity)
ok, keep us posted
ok, but it will look good on your resume
FW, hagn everyone
why not in a nursing capacity tho?
yes, it will, and hopefully, it will eventually lead to a nursing job...
yay for bichon
good job, Bichon
I do hope so, phan, I will keep my fingers crossed for you
they pay their nurses. I asked if I could shadow a nurse, but they don't allow it here in Frederick, MD
oh, that is too bad
yes, but it is what it is.
I checked with our community action agency to see if I could volunteer with their free clinic, but they are full at this time.
so, no I am attempting to check with Mission of Mercy
at least you are checking out different options
wondering if I will have to go to a neighboring community to volunteer in a nursing capacity.
I will do what I need to do.
that is what I was thinking, phan
I am just checking with one organization at a time...
12 left, bbs to finish
good luck with the process, phan!
Thanks, see you soon
hi all I am a newbie to the game what does the grey o/o tiles mean?
that no words start from that letter
HI all :)
Welcome to babble ookiebaker...we're here to help!
Hi lizlin!
Hi Jilly
the number before the slash is how many words you have that start from that letter, the number after the letter is how many words in total start from that letter, ... so 0/0 means you have none of the no words starting from that letter
Hi Joso and Cookiebaker
hi liz, how's oz treating you
A clear explanation Joso ;)
Minor correction. 0/0 means no words at all start from that letter.
Oz is good thanks - where we are, we're escaping the extreme temps in Melbourne.
Cool harp, Molly.
Thanks Liz
read it again molly, not so clear to all I guess
I guess when you read things that you know, it always seems clear!
How's the new apartment, Joso?
I thought "none of the no words" was a typo for so words.
Does it feel like home yet?
clue for re 5 /6 pls? The one after the umpire.
warm and cosy, wich is no minor thing in this weather
That's good - we keep he4ing about the extreme cold you've got over there.
re5 to add more guys
re5, supply a labor force again
Thanks both of you - I like adding more guys!!!
Can't believe that I'm still missing 11 5 letter words - out of 17 left!
was outside today to cut some wood, had to come back inside between each cut to get the feeling to return to my fingers
That's cold! It seems like our summer is really beginning - first cyclone forming (probably; they're never totally sure until it happens) in N. Queensland and a tropical low affecting us!
seems some of our heat has been redirected to you
Well, to Rose and Lyn certainly!
We'll have to redirect it in a Northerly direction!
please do
hello, peeps.
Hi TO
hi jilly!
Hi TO - did I read you were having surgery?
hey TO
hi joso
hi liz. myes, i am having a cataract removed. i am young for that , but i have an eye disease that causes them
Wish you luck with that - everyone I know who's had that done, has been so happy with the result.
thank you. the downtime is a pain though
Does that mean it's a surgery you've had done on a number of occasions?
*Looks around for chickens or Easter candy*
WHERE???
:D
You said peeps
You can play babble by touch, while you recover, so as not to strain the eyes, and we'll all ignore the typos!
like you do now
Like the typos I make, using my eyes! LOL
Wow, Liz can type with her eyes. Cool.
oh my, the queen is heading to bankrupty?
Full of hidden skills!
actually, it's the restriction on physical activity that is troubling
All that gambling and drinking finally caught up with her.
I just wish some of the skills would become unhidden.
good thing she doesnt live in nj
Restricted because you can't use your eyes or too active and might damage the surgery.
*Imagines the Queen living in Jersey practicing her "how ya dooooin"
the latter. no dancing among other t hings
How long are you restricted for?
healing time is three weeks, but i will rely on the doctor whom I will see a week later
molly: on line gambling . awful
Sensible but I can understand the frustration!
frustration is the right word
But think how great it will be the first time you go dancing afterwards!
TO is already practicing babbling without vision...
i am so sorry! i dont know how that happened.
lol
A repeat performance!
trying out blind babbling TO?
oh hevk, will reboot
Sticky 'enter' key!
:/
ohh dear TO...we still luv ya!!
pete seeger died yesterday.
Sad but he was 94!
I know, sad, sad day....great man and social justice pioneer...one of my heros
yes, and in deent health till the last two years. i saw him at a felstival once.
That must've been good.
I posted a video of him singing If I Had a Hammer when he was 94
he said his voice was shot and he relied on the audience to fill in
When did you post that?
Hey, Lizlin, I did your aligator puzzle yesterday.
Sorry, was on FB....
I did the smaller of the 2 you posted.
Hope you enjoyed it. That's one of 9 freshwater crocs at the sanctuary. It's a wonderful place. Looks after many injured animals too.
sometimes i hate that i can no longer include babblers in my fb
me 5/ 12 - the last pls.
Here it is.. http://tinyurl.com/or2oydt
nm - found it.
Liz, I did enjoy doing the puzzle, I did another one too, but can't remember which one right now.
wait, why can't you include babblers in your fb, TO?
The sanctuary is one of our fav places to visit. Going there tomorrow hopefully - if it doesn't rain!
It was the broadwater parklands photo.
oh, hope you have a nice time.
because, phan, when there was the trouble with a babbler, my personal data became known to hiim via fb
Thanks for asking that phand...was wondering hwy
and he used it to threaten me
Oh, that is not cool
Sorry that happened to you, TO
Awesome video Jilly :)
Another place we love to walk, phan.
dinner time.
That's awful, TO>
fortunately, our local law has a great track record against that. they prosecute. i mentioned that and there was no more. but the suspicion of how he got it stays with me.
My son and I, while watching news, just broke into a rousing chorus of Little Boxes! Gotta love Pete Seeger for what he gave us!
Have a good evening.
now on to this damned grid
missing the last two re words. does th 7 ass the re prefox to an existing word?
i give up on typing and everything! lol
No - It has a double consonant in the middle and has a protein ending
It is unfortunate when personal information gets shared without the person's permission.
Fireworks.
it is ok. i have a lot of dance friends and i find fb now awkward because i really don't want to share things with them that i do with others.
WooT WooT WooT lizlin!!
yay, liz!!!
Would love to stay and help but we're off out in a few mins. Thanks and enjoy your evenings.
Have fun lizlin...only have 44 left so don't feel bad!

No heatwave here.
Bye all.
i am seeking my last word. it is hiding.

oh no.
re + not woman
WooT WooT WooT TO!!
ty phan
ty! ty! ty!
hi peri!
you're welcome!
happy babbling, all
Now see, re + not woman uses all the letters in the word and would be a PB violation. But no one seems to care about that stuff anymore.
opps. Sorry, Molly.
I'll go and drink my just wine...
wont you join me?
I'll toast the Pope making the cover of the Rolling Stone!
Well we're big rock singers, we've got golden fingers and we're loved everywhere we go...
:-)
I bet Jorge was a party boy in his youth. He was a bar bouncer at one time.
Real man, real Pope, real world

Ru broke the chat : P
Minver has found her final word and is completely finished..while the rest of us are bored and have been diminished...she has solved the nasty puzzle.. while we look for players to muzzle
hi all. any clues for the 8s?
ahh.. screw the chat. :D
they are bigger than sevens mkg.. but just slightly
ruru why screw the chat?
wow ruru some clues.
en 8/40 word is plural of the en 8/40 word.
I forgive rururocks. He was just excited over my fireworks.
huh? there are two en 8/40s? and one is plural of other? i am confused
wouldn't that make it a nine minver?
in 8/40 word ios plural of the in 7/28 word.
I do get excited for minver's fireworks
en 8/40 word is plural of the en 7/28 word.
so are the two 8s an en and in?
Yes Min, I guess he couldn't contain himself
i think i need more clue.
sorry
do they make containers that big?
got them both. ty min
wow.. I thought Harpjane was here for a second :D

ty got the word.
I ran the chat too far over and it screwed it up
i dont think of the chat as a thing
ok.
I do
it is a thing
ok
Chat is a thing. It is a noun.Noun is a person, place or thing
minver does her thing
Unfortunately midnight is now here and lack of sleep is what I fear. I must goto bed and sleep for the night or my alarm clock and I will have a fight. Goodnight to all babblers out there. Will be back again during my time to spare.
this is the time to wish you the best ;;
and hope that you have a good nights rest
rs
