hi Yvo, glad to see you're back
just flurries today, but ice crystals now and bitterly cold
NBT NBS
ah, we are over it now but Monday we had quite a bad one - wet snow, making it heavy, weighing down trees that fell over power lines, etc, etc, we were only without power for about 14 hours, some were out for a few days
nbt
wtg, Dee
ty jb
a clue on that cu7 would be welcome....

g'night folks!
Have you heard about the avalanche in Montana? Babbler was asking for prayers....a little boy was taken to a hospital, but an elderly couple is missing. Don't know any more details.....prayers always welsome.
yes, sorry, not great with the counting

stone formations form ar4/5 in ar/4es national park, utah
Perhaps they will know more about it, Yvooria. How are they and Dinah?
cooeee and g'day from me
hi there rose!
*blink* yvooria??
hi rose!! Hope you are doing well!
I think they are ready for the cold to leave... surprising how much more "wintery" it is there than where we are in Idaho
Aw, hon, it is cold one day and warm the next. You know about the ice storm and earthquake?
hey jbp, dee, peach
Hey there, rose
yeah... you folks can't get a break
hi rose, feeling better today?
lost my voice this morning, any one seen it? don is sooo happy.
how many words tonight, btw?
102
oh my, what else can happen, rose
earthquake??
We were without lights for 4 days and nights....lost all refrigerated food.....no land-line for about two weeks.....grateful for cell phone.
lol... too funny, hope it returns soon, rose
never ask that, flosey
yipes, peach, where are you?
peach, did the earthquake do any more to the structure of those townhomes?
true, jbp, thought we had made it through another winter without that white stuff - nope
Yes, Erda, after the ice storm crippled the whole city and surrounding area....it was just to top off the whole of February.
oh,peach. that is so not good, hun.
oh Peach, how horrible, how about freezer food, could it last through the power outage?
we are supposed to get another storm Sunday... am really ready for the next season to come
gapeach -- where was that?
Haven't heard of any damage but it was reported 5.4. I heard the noise and thought an airplane was going to hit the house....the dogs were really afraid.....I was trying to quieten them when I felt the shaking.....after shock came next evening.
no clue on 9?
Erda, Augusta, GA
I mean 8
so very sorry, ga, bet that was scary
Thank you!
sorry, jbp. cu7 & cu8
ah those ones I couldn't find earlier.... ok, diving
that's nuts. any signs of spring?
are they normal words, rose?
mm, not in my book, flosey
It was for a few minutes, Dee. I was so busy being thankful that it was not a plane.
it's scottish/irish word for coracle
Hi all :)
new to me, flosey; here is def for cu 7 and cu 8 pl a Scot or Irish name for coracle
{{liz}}
I can understand that, ga.
thanks rose and Dee
yqw
The trees were beginning to bud but I think they will wait a while and see what we have to offer next. LOL
np's, flosey. and lol dee, snap
or c + mexican woven shoes
lol
well, i guess you won't be looking forward to that plaster thick pollen coming around again any time soon :)
now I have to look up what a coracle is...
I didn't realize you were even prone to earthquakes there.
it's not in my dictionary, jb
I know what a coracle is - don't know about Irish or Scottish names for one!
I remember that word in learning about the medieval celtic monks who sailed in these boats to get to remote islands to do hermit type meditations
Who had an earthquake?
state of GA in USA, liz
Hope everyone was OK.
gapeach did, liz
and since it won't take 'orator' no matter how many times I type it... my cold and I are off .
Poor Peach :(
It hasn't gotten here yet. Maybe just in time for Masters.
Was doing better, but spent several hours in ER with my dad
I will pray for my friends in GA.
anyhoo, g'nite
lol, jbp. hope you feel better real soon, hun
hope he is ok, jb
Feel better soon jbp and sleep well.
peach, we just put a contract on an amazing piece of land in the foothills
How are you today - Rose and Dee?
Yvooria, how was Carrollton during the storm?
had gorgeous sunshine, which was wonderful, but waiting to see how much snow we get on Sunday
FWs
Oh, good, hon. Is it the same one you told me about?
they didn't have power, but i don't get the impression that the earthquake hit them as hard.. you might have seen that my inlaws lost their beautiful willow tree though.. sadly
WTG Diz
nice, diz!
it's down the road a bit, but turns out to be a better piece of land.. more infrastructure in place... we're excited.
WTG DIZ!!!!
ah, finally got it from the 'mexican shoe' clue
I am sorry about the tree. The trees are still being taken care of.....lost so many......AT&T had a cable cut and I couldn't get any service for about two weeks.
I am so excited about the land. Any pictures on FB?
Not really, I don't think... but the pictures just aren't going to cut it.. maybe a video would give a better idea...we're been staving off getting excited until it's a done deal
I hope you get it. You've already seen a builder, yes?
yes, we have a house plan.. still tweaking and when he bids it out to find out the price, we will probably makes some more adjustments
Good idea....this way you will get exactly what you want and not have to redo stuff.
my favorite part is that no one can build behind the house.. it drops off into a canyon loveliness, filled with trails and nature.. but we still have a view of the city on a clear day
Sounds delightful!
How are the girls?
fireworks
Hey, congrats, Dee!!!!
wtg Dee

emma's knees have healed up beautifully.. mollie still is obsessed with her tennis balls
Tennis balls?
Do tell.
And what about the mass in her ear?
well, just any balls, but she especially loves tennis balls... the kind she can squeak especially... she gets so mad when emma rips all the fuzz off them
the Dr. thinks it's probably just always been there.. the steroid didn't change anything, but he gave Rob a new flush to use 2wice a week
WTG DEE!!!
Could he do a biopsy just to make sure it is ok?
ty rose!
Hope your voice returns tomorrow!! Time for me to say ta ta, til the flip! Hugs to all!
for some reason he didn't think that was necessary/wise.. think he's just going to watch it.. think it would be super hard to do, requiring general anesc. because it's way down there - required a camera to see it
I guess no one held off on their fireworks waiting for me to show up >? :D
Sweet dreams, DEE.
have to go and get ready. going to the pancake parlour tonight to celebrate a friend of don's birthday. yes, he does have friends, just not a lot of them.
night, dee. hope your rest is sweet, dear.
sounds like fun!
I was wondering about you, ru. Did you get a lot of rain today?
not good for my non-existent waist-line.
yes.. we did indeed
Oh, well, I would hate to put her through all of that. They are both so very sweet.
enjoy, rose
hey ya, mate.
how are your dears?
hope you all have great days/evenings. see you at the flip. xoxoxox
Has it stopped, ru, or are you still getting it?
Have fun, rose!!

Just wonderful. I feel badly that they don't get out much. Bev, my vet, brings heartworm pills and will come here for their shots. She is so helpful.
Awww, glad to hear that Bev does that for them... reminds me i need to pick up some more of those pills
I bet your rains are what are going to turn into our snows... not sure, so I'll have to check out the weather.
gonna be snow somewhere that's for sure
Expecting another storm here sometime on Sunday.
how is ricky?
haven't you guys had enough snow?
I had a precancerous spot on the bridge of my nose...had it frozen last Friday.....had on near this one removed many years ago and it healed well.....this one is taking it's time.....of course my skin is older now, so I will just shut up about it. LOL
Well, now I am off for real. See you at the flip!
Well, now I am off for real. See you at the flip!
i'm glad you were preventative enough to go in for that.
*sigh* I'm drifting off... long day... let's chat soon, Peach :) Miss you
whew, falling asleep, 20 words for tomorrow
goodnight all
Just got back from ER with mom. TIA. She's spending the night with us. Hopefully we can get her home tomorrow with roads and blizzard.
I hope all's as well with her as may be, and that the roads be such as to get her where she needs to be, Jilly
Thanks DC, and very nice to see you! She is fine, just probably the beginning of things tho. She has been in ER twice and hospitalzied once in the last 2 months
BTW, I sure enjoy your gastronomical FB posts!!
*hospitalized
I am enjoyin a G&T while washing her clothes out.
You are taking her home after she had a stroke?
Are you kidding me?
Wow
TIA...mini stroke. CAT scan without change (done with hospital and her recent fall. BP fine...home she goes, but, can't get her home tonight...roads a nightmare
She is determined to return to her home. I was hoping this had scared her more. But no luck
well, frustrated trying to find the 8...time to hit the pillows
boo hoo, I expected a big one today
Apparently, Dr_God is averse to larger grids.
we are awaiting the big snow which they are predicting for Monday It has been a very weird winter, hardly ever below 3C and only oe tiny snowstorm. Very strangee compared to every other winter in our 15 here
Very cold ... little snowfall

Hi Annie
Maximum pain is the first 3-4 days after an injury. I would be so upset to be on the disabled list, to not be able to be active.

Happy Month of March everyone!
and now it is time for crossy's tidbit of the day!! This is a real interesting site. This company takes vintage typewriters and alters them so they can function as a viable keyboard for your pc or tablet! http://tinyurl.com/lr87u69
howdy aloy
Happy March, Aloy. I flipped my calendar already.
Interesting, Crossy.
howdy crossy.. I have a very old Remington, used to be my mother's. Hi Scrabbs, hope your bunny is doing better.
John Philip Sousa
My mother has our Smith-Corona (is that the right brand?) and a word processor. I remember the frustration of using both of those.
Haha, o-o
hi o-o
Hello
having fun making up words when I can't find one, aorto for italian artery, toosh for alt. tush.. and I keep seeing motorcar
I have a typewriter from the 70,s one of those big grey office ones with the correct-a-tape...
not worth converting.
copied the link, crossy.. just in case
it is interesting, eh, aloy? you could get your mums old machine altered as well
There are many phantoms in the grid today.
get a converstion kit for under 100 dollars, if you or a friend is handy with a sodering iron
yes, alter it instead of hanging on to it as is, just collecting dust
good morning all
hi wvt
actually I see two types of kits here..
hi wv
the easy conversion kit needs no soldering
but best contact him and see if your machine is compatable
howdy teach
hello crossy
I wish I still had my Dad's Underwood. I loved typing on that thing, the way the keys slapped the page and the DING of the return.
hi Molly.. I just didn't like it when the tape twisted
I ran my typewriter until the ribbons became unavailable. I even re-inked the last one many times, but it became too messy and the ribbon became too worn
or trying to make corrections so your report still looked good
am going to check the brand now.. Underwood sounds familiar.. brb
ok.. i was wrong, it is an Underwood, and it still has a black/red ribbon in it
the conversion kits work on all underwood portables and the underwood desktop #5 series
ok, ty for the link crossy
np. I find it very interesting myself:))
I LOVE the one he pre-built for thale, the black f series one:) but $$$

cu7?
cu7, please?
lol marc
great minds and all
is that why we cant find the word?:)
For me it is just dullness I am sure for you it is just a lapse of some kind.
cu 7/44 = cu 4/6 + when something hurts it does this minus the last letter, like a head***e
is that good or bad marc?
for me not so good just old age for you just lack of rest I am sure.
ty luv nbt and nbs
thanks LuvWord got it

gee thanks marc:)
Multiple bears ur5
Really I hope I didn't insult you I was trying to find a positive perspective. Tiredness is something you can fix. You can't fix old age

.. argh, had to reboot, chat would not load.. congrats dan2 !
cu8 is pl
and good morning all
hi flosey (-:
yw Aloy - one would normally expect to have an e before the pl, following those letters?
newbie to me, flosey
aloy, that happens to me ALL the time -- Babble won't load because the chatlog won't finish loading . . . aarrrgghh
to me as well
yes, and I never know when it will happen.. until I try to post and NOTHING gets posted
so then I refresh and chat won't load, so I turn everything off and reboot.. aargh again
same here, aloy -- infuriating!
Maybe it needs to go out to pee une...?
anywho . . . rebooted and now have my new icon on display :-)
hey ru!
how's the new car??
Waiting for the funding to transfer. No money yet
aaahh
Good morning, all! Name that proper noun: Mountain in Turkey.
love your new little pug, Une - are they yappy dogs?
ararat
I am going to look at a couple of cars. Some of my friends are trying to talk sense into me
ru LOL
Ding! Ding! Ding! Une wins a piece of the Ark - purported to have landed there.
Flosey, not yappy at all -- ever so sweet and loving
Awww. I want a Puggle.
speaking of which -- have you heard they're building an ark in KY --- jeezomeez
why is an ark being built?
not sure hubby would have one that small - but looks like one I could handle
religious fanatics
Any particular reason? Tourist attraction? They know something we don't know?
i'm sure it'll be a tourist thang
Well in Kentucky it takes one to Noah one
:-D
the ark is going to have dinosaurs.
*snort*
funny we have "oscar" in the grid when the awards are tomorrow night
LOL ruru.. good one!
amazing that Clooney's from KY
Judi..If you see animals walking by in pairs..it is time to go to church
'morning, folks
AND if they're all cohabiting in harmony
and we have two ru words, ruru
No kidding. Note to self: get two puggles.
howdy welki :-)
hi welki and Judi
judi LOL
I would rather have a pure pug..much cuter
Hee hee. I'm sure all the animals lived in harmony. But, I bet Noah's family fought over who was going to shovel all the sh*t.
back in a bit -- off to watch Fed in the Dubai final
which ones are you going to look at, ru? sl63? carrera? (or - hahaha - lamborghini gallardo?)
My friends said I can't buy a car that expensive
Just monkied the cu7 & 8. Have no idea what the heck that word means.
they are pricey - up here, add about $20-30G
small boat/s Judi.. I looked it up
What car do you want to buy, ruru?
It is a boat judi..
An Audi..Rd
Ty for the cu factoid. Now I can sleep at night. Oy.
R8...
but which ones are they going to take you to see?
LOL Judi, another word I'll forget
I am going to also look at Mercedes and other models of Audi..
Nice. Love Audis. Expensive to buy and maintain - so I'm told.
the TT?
Ahhhgh! I love the TT! I WANT ONE!
i suppose the sl63 and carrera would be in the same price range as the r8 :(
<-- loves cars
I think I want something more high end than the TT..but Doreen says I should look at one
okay i don't 'love' them, but i sure like 'em a whole lot :)
You can always test drive one - just for fun.
i consider the TT in the same category as a boxster very nice, but a step down
I did find an R8..Spider I can afford..but the gas mileage is atrocious
BMW has a sportster in that category - but I like the TT better - it looks sexier.
I did drive one Judi..it is incredible
that sounded bad - what i mean is that if i had my sights set on an r8 and had to buy something else, i'd veer away from audi and consider another manufacturer
*envious*
On a racetrack
*purrrrrrrrrrr*
They only get 12 miles a gallon. .it is like driving two humvees..
ru? i know you drive all over the place, but if you're thinking you can get practical over gas mileage when you want a sports car, SURPRISE!
I want both walking
Welki...
Auto correct
judi, there's an outfit in ny that lets you rent a series of high end sports cars - sort of like a relay
good lord, even my jeep in full 4wd low mode gets more than that!
And one that a seat brunette would be comfortable in..:D
That would be a blast, Welki. However, I would have to learn to drive stick first. *shamed* I'm such a girl.
i don't think they'll have brunettes as seats until 2015, ru
fw.. off to FaceTime with the world's most adorable grandson.. happy March and happy Babbling to all! poof
we have a car place like that as well, welki. lets you rent Ferrari's a nice countache, Bentleys etc etc
have a fun time, aloy
Passes on comments about girls and learning sticks
Hate to think what the brunette option would cost.
i think they're standard in the aston martin vanquish starting next year :)
Depends on the legs judi..
We live a short hop away from Dover speedway in Delaware. They do have race car driving "classes". I'll pass. KNowing my luck, I'd crash the damn thing and have to pay for it.
i see so many exotic cars on the road here - have no idea why these cars are even sold in an area where you can't open them up - nevermind the law, the terrain prevents it
Time for breakfast! See you kids later! *POOF*
I did the racetrack thing I have to admit I was really intimidated at first
<-- wants to take a winter class on a race course
Is Mrs ru a brunette with nice legs?
No she is not
coffee time - be back in a bit
Why..do you want to look her up on Facebook too?
There is always dylan
no facebook for me
Dylan rides in the SUV..safely in a crate
hi all, help with the 7's and 8's pls
mmmm - coffee time morphed into bagel and lox time :)
hi peri - haven't got them yet
found cu 7/8 - pretty easy to find once you know they begin with cu 4/6. let me know if you need more of a clue
I had the choice of a Porsche or my jeep for my mid - life crisis car,. I think I chose well. As you say , Welki, there is really nowhere to run the exotic sports cars the way they should be run except on the track or in Germany
if i had the same choice, i'd choose the porsche, sell it, buy the jeep and go on a cruise with what's left :)
have one fella in town in a Lambo, and he says he never gets to use anything above second gear most of the time
lol
a cruise - and maybe another car, depending on the porsche!
they do sound nice, though, even at red lights
they do indeed
Ca 5/14 second one
I deserve a treat in my life right now Weki.. always wanted a nice car
what are you going to get ruru?
then ru, you should get what you WANT. i know where you're coming from.
I want to buy a nice Audi. or Mercedes or possibly a Lexus coupe.. but I don't like the looks on the new Lexus cars
you might not have the opportunity to splurge like this again - if it's doable, do it and don't have any regrets
lol.. you might be right there
get the audi TT with the quad drive. I think they have one where all 4 tyres turn
the way i figure, you're probably around my age, have worked like a dog for the last 40 or more years - for what?
if you're in a position to treat yourself well, then treat yourself well while you can enjoy it
Ruru, being English, I have only ever driven standard (with a stick) my favourite car was a Mini Cooper S
the trouble with the mini was not enough room in the back for passengers
That was the most fun I had in a car, well with my clothes on anyway! lol
I guess I would need smaller friends Demouse!
one of our babblers just purchased a cooper paceman - bigger, more room - much much different than the original minis!
I had an original mini too Welki, that was fun aswell
we had a 69 VW beetle:)) loved that car
every now and then, i'll see one here - just the look of them brings a smile on :)
I'm not planning on having THAT kind of fun in my car Lindy L:OL
aaww what a shame Ruru! (0:
1st car was a 62 eetle, then a 66. After that it was all downhill.
probably not because it's uncomfortable, lindrick - he more likely doesn't want to risk damaging the upholstery
That sounds about right Welki! (0:
Best car was the Audi A6 that husband bought when we moved here but he totaled it (and almost me)
Mine was leatherette, so washable! lol
they were great for our winters, ruby. narrow tyres, engine over the drive wheels, all that smooth unbroken floor pan from front to back, but the heaters were terrible!
... with footprints on the ceiling
man.. I cannot find my last words
heaters? an no gas guage on the first one
cross, my mini cooper S with winter tyres was like a little snow plough in Toronto!
that's why you need skylight, wlki. gives those long legs someplace to go
|I'd fit in the back of a mini.... :(
hahaha Welki, I didn't have a washable ceiling!
the image, crossy - pretty darned funny!
I wouldn't fit in a mini
too much snow up here this year for those coopers, lind. they pretty well have to stay on in town roads and off seconday dirt roads
*ceiling?...what?
I am only 5'2" tall, I can fit almost anywhere! (0:
I thought I was sick
i only just fitted into the back ruby thing lindy was being mean lol
keep up Ruru, or read back!
i think it's because he intends to ride 'topless'
who me?
you mean footprints?
yup, but I didn't put my feet on the ceiling cos it wasn't washable!
lol
trouble is lindy you could fit onto an intercity 125
that's considerate lindy
heel marks on the ceiling, a smile in my eyes, ohhh I loved that girl, but she was twice my size... arroo
i thought i typed 'footprints' - yes, footprints :)
talking of intercity 125, I have to get going, have a train to catch
lol
Going to see one of my favourite bands this evening!
and who may that be
Eight Rounds Rapid this week, Demouse, Stranglers next week! lol
hope you enjoy
Hope you all enjoy your evening as much as I will! (0:
ah.. found my last s
Thanks
bye
woohoo Ruru!
bye xx
hahaha - here i am talking about sportscars and convertibles and it's -30!
here is my honey - do list:((( http://tinyurl.com/lavbpse
hubby got an IQ and loves it.
I didn't think I 'd have the balls to find it lindy :D
looks like everyone's to do list - we're doing the same
I.Q's are handy things
they're great for inner city driving, mixi - i think i'd be afraid on the highway next to big rigs
we drove it from north carolina to corning new york.
no issues with draft or crosswind?
nope
here, there's a program called Car2Go - you sign up and can pretty much rent a Smart car for free (you have to pay for gas)
i like doing donuts, until hubby gets motion sick
if you see one on the street, you can use your pass to get into the car and off you go - and when you're done, you leave it for the next person
hhahaha! mixi!!
In the US, that is called ZipCar.
oh wait - you pay for mileage, and probably gas. can't remember
makes sense for someone who doesn't need to go far and only needs a car once in a while
later, folks
hello 73 to go
howdy, harpjane
Sounds like in England Lindy had a Zippercar
cu7-8? help?
The little teeny cars freak me out, like those Smart Cars

did you watch the olympics curling? and are you getting the brier?
one of those simple little words that elude us ;-)
found the bear
e got some of the curling, (U.S. coverage of the Olympics is poor.... mostly delayed) We did get a few live events, e.g. the Canada - U.S hockey games
too bad -- the curling games were really good
We definitely won't get the Brier here, and when I hunt things down online, I get the message "not available in your area" :-(
We did see some of the curling, but not until I already knew the results !!
have you tried curl canada website?
No, I haven't.... I'll give it a try !
*!* ta da *!* - not so bad once I went to the list!

ty Molls for cu7/8 had to goggle them
Thanks, Molly
I really hope that the weather people are wrong. I do not want 6-10 inches of snow this weekend
Aye, it's an Irish word not many people know. : )
who is that in your icon, Molls?
John O'Donohue, the author of the poem
I thought so
stuck with 32 left
also doing laundry
He had a gift with words and we lost him too young.

I need a better forecast for Monday. Need to take Mr. Bich to the Orthopedist.
hi all!
hi sue
clues for the u?
ur 4/5 Latin for bear
ur 5/12, Latin ending
ah..thanks!
w Babs
hi, bichon! you finished?
FW hagd all
I usually throw in the towel about 1/2 way :-)
44 left now and about to leave
Bich, is the orthopedist appointment essential or can it be rescheduled.
Because if it's not essential then stay home. There is no sense in taking the risk of you falling too.
And Bich is gone and I am just thinking out loud. Pardon.
thanks Molly for that blessing you posted. It is most appropriate for me today and will look for the beam of sunlight to guide me home.
thanks for the ur word! That got me nbt.
hi sue
hi bugs!
I agree with you about the blessing Molly posted - it is wonderful!
I'm glad you like it Bugs. We all need such words around us, an invisible cloak, to mind our lives. O'Donohue had a gift with words.
I love his stuff but I don't remember that one. What is the title, please?
hi molly! Thanks for that!!
Beannacht...which means blessing in Gaelic.
ha, got the 8, totally by monkeying (once I looked up the stats, anyway)
are there any words at all using the X?
Funny Sue, the 8 is in that poem, that is why I posted it.
ah, I didn't notice, must have wound its way into my subconscious after I read it! Thanks!
hello 30 to go
hi jane!
and fnurt, I don't have any words that use the x but I still have 33 left
poor X, it's at a party and doesn't have anyone to talk to
4 left
no x here so far
i think "oxic" should mean something.
*poof*
oxic: poisonous to bovines
Either that or like a bovine, Molly. And Hi all.
Hello, clever Wht : )
I think the ch4,6 must be the singular for total destruction and disorganization.
Either that or some dumb text word that someone invented.
it's an alt spelling of ci4
Hi dc. I think you are right, but I like my definition better.
i do too, wht :)
there's also Fogo do Ch4, i chain of brazilian steakhouses
ch 4 is a mini riot.. with dumb protesters
Ah, I like your definition Ru : D
Fireworks
And those would be "def" dum protesters
Not ha...gd : P
lol
I am off to buy some new furniture.. see you later.
Bye rurur
Ack, no one cheered for¸¸.•*¨*•Wht!!¸¸.•*¨*• (we must have plenty of cheering)
And pom-poms too. Thank you Molly
You're we.come Wht. Hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Or welcome
I am. It is a quiet weekend. No plans, no big projects to do. I am enjoying it.
Good Afternoon Everyone. How are you all today?
Hello babbleworld!
afternnon everyone
I've had a spectacularly frustrating day today; I'm hoping & praying for some peace and quiet and serious Babble time now.
afternoon that is
HI Jilly, crossy, Molly, wht, and all
Hi nef...update on avalanche, child doing well, the elderly couple alive , but in critical condition.
thinking about a nap here..
crossy had his power nap already:)
Wow! I've never heard of an avalanche in MSLA like that before! I guess my niece lives just a bit up the road from there but out of danger
the hour and a half mid-day is the best sleep I seem to get in a 24 hour period:)
that is sad about avalanche:((
What.. I was napping. Did I miss something? Who was riding shotgun?
Unprecidented, very old neighborhood in town. Paper says there were snowboarders on mountain at the time
Jilly, we were out last evening (our church puts a yearly musical, it's The Music Man this year) and thanks for asking Howie to get in touch with me (or Molly or whomever)
Probably best to go back to your nap, Wht : D
Very reassuring that so many people worked together to stabilize situation...some trying to dig people out, others to find the gas line shut off
I haven't been able to check the news about it today yet; but I did get an update from my one sister about it early this AM.
Missoulian.com nef
I'll check out the Missoulian in a bit for more info
Oh. Sorry, did the avalanche come into town?
LOL! Great minds, etc..... :-D
wht, Missoula, MT has an old section of town near Rattle Snake Creek and the avalanche hit that area
Yes, destroyed a two story home and knocked one up. Child was playing in back yard. Houses do butt up against Mount Jumbo, but have been there for 100 years!
Oh that's no good. So sorry.
Missoula is in a basin surrounded by mountains; the town is right at the foot of Mount Jumbo and Sentinel
Just happy no loss of life. But the pick of the mother of the boy playing in back yard was heartwrenching!
*pic
My stepmother, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and about 8 nieces and nephews and their families all live in Missoula
(also have a sister & brother in Helena, MT too)
I can't imagine how terrible that must have been both for the Mom and the child!
http://tinyurl.com/kxd47oo for those interested
I thought of you immediatly nef...did not know how many relatives though
Thank you, Jilly
I really appreciated that
LOL, but I had forgotten we were FB pals and that you might see my post.
Of course right after that got the call that mom had sx of a stroke...not a great evening, but all is well now
I wasn't home, and Before I went to bed I checked my phone and had a msg. from cosdem on chat.
Ahhh hats off to Cos!
so that's why I got online (and on FB and stayed up way too late too!
BTW, did see your post on the musical, glad you had a good time
Ya, body wants a nap, mind is not agreeing!
How is your Mom today?
Fine, blizzard warning gone by 11 and we had her home at noon. Neighbor came and rudimentarily plowed her driveway. Had to be in 4-low to get up and into her place.
Was a TIA, I suspect they have been going on for some time. In past 2 months she has had 2 falls, three ER visits and 1 hospitalization.
LOL...they were so busy in ER last night they threatened to put me to work! As it was, I unhooked mom's leads, helped her get dressed and removed her hep lock...selfish really, just wanted to get home as quick as possible
All our ambulances were out last night...I think we have 4 or 5.
I'm so glad she's okay; but I worry about TIA's too. Will she be having a complete workup soon?
Has had two, she is on 81 mg ASA, not a good candidate for blood thinners due to age and living alone. BP fine. I suspect she slips into A-fib, had been diagnosed in hospital, placed on metroprolol, but her local MD took her off of it (with her complaining).
(I've done the same with my family in the ER; unhooking leads; pulling IV's etc. when they were at "my" hospital too.
Well a good evening all. Jilly, stay warm and safe.
was she complaining that she was on it or taken off of it?
Thank you wht, you too!
Bye wht. HAGD! Take care!
Hi all! All ok Nef?
sory i fell asleep last night nef
Cos, thanks for sharing with Nef last night!
anytime jilly!
Poor Cos, sorry he fell asleep. : P
She was complaining she was on it, made her dizzy, she is not tracking well these days, she had low NA and low BP, it was not the metrolprolol!
lol well it was late :P
JIlly, is she seeing an internal med doc? It sounds like she should be if she has been seeing a GP or family practice doc. A Fib, TiA's, advanced age, etc. She may need finer tuning than she used to need
Small town, only GP's and FP's. Has a cardiologist in Missoula...I have been trying to get the MD to refer her to him again.
thank you so much cos! (((hugs to you!!!)) I would have gone to bed and not known about any of this tip today
She was on so much BP meds that in Jan her NA= was 117, BP with diastolic of 46. And those were the meds her cardiologist had her on. Latest studies show it's better to keep elderly a bit higher on BP
Time to pull out that nasty nurse personality, Jilly and tell that doc that she WILL be referred!
Very true, Jilly (re the BP in elderly)
Jill and Nef, you should have each other's contact information so you can converse about important things like this, if needs be.
What BP med was she on that would lower her Na+
Problem is, doc in Stevensville, she makes her appointments in AM, I work, actually took Friday off to go with her, road impassable and no appointment. She also is rebelling against my being involved. I really did call and argue with MD over the metroprolol to no avail
Sorry, Molly. I don't mean to hog the chog
HCTZ
IT's medical chog now...LOL
Dang. HCTZ shouldn't lower it that much; wonder what else is going on?
50 captopril TID, 10 Norvasc QD and 12.5 HCTZ now again, but HCTZ and Norvasc is lower dose. Also have her on sugar free electrolyte drink instead of water
Oh no, hog the chat log all you want. I just meant sometimes it's easier to get in direct touch with someone, instead of asking a third party to send the information.
Her NA+ tends to run low. It was 128 last night.
Nef wasn't on when news broke, and I had forgotten our FB connection. Sorry Molly
Well, she's on a heck of a lot of heavy duty drugs for her BP.
how does she like the electrolyte drink?
LOL..as the kids would say...Meh
LOL! I remember when DH's great-uncle had to drink thickened liquids. He said it never took care of the thirst and balked at thickened coffee (2nd generation Swede!
<----!!FW!!
YAY, Jilly!!! WTG!!!
(That didn't work in the Word box; sorry for the delay)
No need for "sorry". I'm glad you two have a way to communicate about these things. And do it here all you want.
A slow Chog day almost always leads to fireworks for Soodle. Happy to clue for any lurkers. :-)
FW, Soodle? YAY, Soodle!!! WTG!!!
LOL nef...and hey there soodle!
WooT WooT WooT soodle!!
afternoon lovies :)
Jill, is your Mom back home? Is that safe for her?
Gee! Sorry. I just refreshed the page & saw the chog was alive & well.
Yes and no molly...
hi jes
how goes, Nef?
hello jes!
Oh, Jilly, I SO feel your pain. And hello everybody. :-)
having fun, jilly?
Well, mind finally agreeing to take a snooze...4 hours sleep last night; siesta required before Mass.
Hopefully this fun will abate jes!
I've had a frustrating day today, jes; nothing "Bad"; just lots of things not going right. SO glad for peace & quiet and Babble Friends now! :-)
{{hugs}} to nef and all my babble buddies...now *poof*
Jilly, is there anyone who could stay with her for a few days?
At the end of a very difficult day, Babble can br better than valium!
sleep sweet, jilly
(Chogging in the word box isn't helping me chat)
no, i don't suppose it would, Nef :D
Jilly - you must remember to look after yourself as well....
jes, that looks like a very sweet actin your icon pic.
oscar is a word! It's a kind of fish! *grumblemutterenablemutter*
Um...no...nothing is better than Valium : P
Breathing is better than valium, Molly. I'm too sensitive to Drugs.
OK, Molly. But Babble is cheaper & easier to get.....
Nef, I was thinking the same thing. Someone to stay with Jill's Mom. Scary to think of her all alone with such medical things going on.
move to Colorado. ;-)
I'm all about deep breathing Nef. There are some things that it doesn't fix though.
Yeah, Molly. I've dealt with some pretty stubborn older relatives (both DH's and mine) and when "Aunty Jean" insisted on going to her condo, it was so nice to have my str. stay with her -even when str. was working full time)
daughter= str. SPELLCHECK, shut up!
I only ever experienced valium once. On a previous visit to my dentist, I bit him and drew blood. He refused to treat me again, unless I was sedated. Next visit, he gave me a shot of valium. To this day, i hanker after the feeling of ' I don't give two hoots whats about to happen. Bring it on'..... Sigh
My folks were stubborn elders too. Comes a time you have to override their stubborn though.
LOL, Soodle! I've never had Valium, but it made my DH giggle like little girl when he burnt his face from a faulty wallpaper stripper
That is why people get addicted, Soodle.
But knowing that feeling and acting on it are 2 different things, Molly
Well yeah.
I can see how, Molly. So, until I find a supplier, Babble will have to do.
One of my aunts quit smoking cigarettes in the 1950's, and she told me that she still craved a smoke 50 years later
(personally, I was shocked when she told me that. She was always so proper I could never imagine her smoking!)
Babble is fun, solving the grid is fun and the chat can be fun, but I've never quite seen it as the addiction other people do. Just me I guess.
but smoking didn't used to be considered un-proper
Molly what are you wearing tomorrow to the Oscasrs? :)
So wait, only un-proper people smoke? (Cos, duck)
Molly, I found it very addicting back when I started. I had such a drive to finish every grid and do it first that it seemed at times to be more important than real life things
I was gonna say Speaker Boehner is a chain smoker but then again.. :P
Cos, something strapless and Vera Wang, with a high thigh slit. : P
this was my Aunt the school teacher, Superintendant of Schools, etc.
I'm going to wear a nice sweat pants designed by Targe' with a tee shirt from Nike'. Hair done by Great Clips.
plenty of teachers smoke. they work with kids they need a stress reliever :P but I can see your point. School marms are not seen as smokers. Prim and proper.
I will gladly have you as my escort Cos. We will be the talk of E! Online.
We shall make Joan shut up for once.
She was very prim and proper, cos.
If only people knew the dark side of the seemingly prim and proper.
I seldom finish a grid, but I find searching for words & participating in the chat relaxes me. Then I see an exchange like that between Cos & Molly & I get all stressed out again. Jeez, Molly, Wang???? I had you down as a Versace type of gal.
the "shy" librarian who lets her hair down at nights....
She also had an iron will and fist
what do you think is the dark side of prim & proper, Molly?
Emperor Palpatine, of course, Nef. He was very proper and very dark.
I can take or leave Versace, but you will always catch me in Christian Louboutin shoes.
Nef, I can't answer that question here. It's a PG rated board.
Emperor Palpatine isn't (IMHO, anyway) my idea of "prim & proper"
Queen Elizabeth. But I understand she enjoys a cigarette every now and then.
well, not after he went all dark... but before then he was :)
hi all, is this a mean grid or a pushover?
Ah when he was Chancellor Palpatine.
sort of midway, gwen
Queen Elizabeth smokes? I had no idea
Will stay up late on Oscars Night to see Cos n Moll making their Grand Entrance down the red carpet.
I learn so much here in chog!
I will tug my ear for you Soodle!
I have cu7 whats the other one please?
mo7
http://tinyurl.com/l5k9b6k
thanks jes looking
i'd clue it, but i's actually the one i'm currently looking for...
Cos, just for the record, I don't think that people who smoke are the detriment of society. : D
ah, got it... holler if you want a clue :)
Cos, I've proudly shown that pic of you & Mr O'Bama to many friends... An ear tug at the Oscars would be the icing on the cake! Lol
Thanks! :P I am indeed trying to cut back I dont smoke at work til the kids are in bed anymore. and yes please jes!
ahh thank you soodle! :)
mo6 is the glue or spackle between rocks in a wall, mo7 is plural. or launched explosives.
ty jes
Cos, I'm glad we are still friends despite the Obama thing. : P
hey I dont worship Obama .. I think that's why we're okay lol
thanks jes....
welcome
I know you don't, but we would be okay anyway. On to a better leader soon.
Howard Dean 2016! lol
I kid. I kid.
although working for him in 2003/2004 was the best years of my life.
Let's not get into partisan politics, please! (Or i will have to kill you all. LOL)
I am making chili now and will later make apple crisps
I'm politically independent and vote for the person or issues, not the Party. But that has put me on nearly every political email list you can imagine and it's pretty funny to read how each side portrays every issue
apple crisps? yum!
nbt at last
in the high 60s all week this week and then today bam it snows .. on the firsty of march.. go figure so decided to make cold day foods
i heard a DJ on the radio today describe Tommy as a bad, bad, horrible movie. I happen to like it. so there. LOL
Oh thanks for the update Cos. And the weather news as well. : P
Tommy? Pinball Wizard Tommy?
yes, pinball wizard Tommy!
it's 19 here, but with wind chill it's down to 6...
I also plan on feeding the animals soon Molly.
hmm. I suppose people are allowed to think classics are bad, bad, horrible movies, but... if everyone thought that it wouldn't be considered much of a classic, would it? :D
of course he's entitled to his stoopid opinion LOL
heeheh
after he said that he played a song from the movie, and i sang along at top of my lungs LOL
firewords
I love Pinball Wizard - it's one of my favorite Rock Band songs :D
congrats dragon !!!!!!!!
*Checks "make sure Cos fed the animals" off my list of things to be concerned about*
My cat is asleep. She is so cute.
weather, movies, cats. all excellent topics that aren't politics. LOL
Driving home this evening, Dire Straits 'Romeo & Juliet' came on the radio. If ever there was music to soothe the savage beast, it has to be that...
Darn, that means she won't be padding all over your keyboard making &T%I((@ posts.
I have TWO cats though so that is still a possibility.
hi again all! Back to finish; watching it snow outside (yet again...)
yup, stay away from politics and religion. same rules that apply when bartending
howdy suze!!
hi crossy!
suze, I just make it easy on myself now, and note the days when it is NOT snowing instead
Hey Cross, hey Sue, :-)
I've made a blanket policy not to discuss politics with clients, even if we probably agree.... the problem with that is the people who really insist on pushing me on it are almost certain to disagree with me...
so i think pope francis should run for president :P (I broke 2 rules at once!)
hi soodle!
anyhoo! :P
lol, cos, is he carrying concealed as well?? lol
*throws a ping pong ball at cos* no kitty, bad kitty!
Go cat Number 2!! And I had lots of great political conversations when I tended bar.
sports and sex are always god topics. sex during sports is even better
gay bars are always a great place to watch election results actually. because everyone voted for the same guy. they always have big parties that night with the results on big screens.
good*
Cos... Is there any significance in the name Francis? As in the Pope & Mr Underwood? (Jaws theme toon playing as I type....)
crossy ducks because he used the G word
Soodle, you seem wrapped up in that Dire Straits song. Does it have significance for you?
my confirmation name was Francis. the same saint the Pope chose. Francis is supposed to represent the poor and disabled. "For the people"
Dire straits rocks!
ah, Frank's confirmation name was Francis too :-)
Ooooh yes, Molly. Yes, yes yes... I don't think I need elaborate further!
Wait, Frank is Francis Something Francis?
Francis Underwood.
Just one Francis, Molly, he doesn't have another middle name
hmmm, Wander off a few minutes to fix a bowl of cottage cheese and now all confused on Francis/Frank! Reading back; it still doesn't make sense to me
Francis the Talking Mule was a mule celebrity, featured in seven movie comedies in the 1950s.
No, I meant isn't Frank a nickname for Francis?
yes yes it is
As in Francis Albert Sinatra
Oh I see what you mean now.
It can be, Molly, but his first name is just Frank. But there is a bit of apparent redundancy involved :-)
O-o, I'm a child of the '60's, & I remember Francis the talking mule.
But lots of guys are named just plain old Frank too. (DH's legal name is Frank)
My confirmation name is Patrick. Yes, I have always been "that way". They couldn't say no, the bishop at the time was named Patrick.
My son's name is similar - he is Leo, which is often short for something else, but not in his case. Just Leo.
and everyone thinks i'm a gwendolyn. nope!
LOL! My daughter's confirmation name is "Charlemange!"
Seriously Nef? In the Catholic Church? How did she get by with that?
Thanks for the poem, Molly.
She chose it herself because her other names are too plain! (Anne Margie Charlemagne)
that is actually pretty funny, nef!
I did know a few Sister Mary Patricks in Chicago.
Charlemagne is a very well-known saint Molly
The poem is one of my favorites. O'Donohue had a way with words that will always enchant me.
I also meant to thank Molly for that lovely O' Donoghue poem
ThN
Thanks Molly
I shall be back. Making the crisp now.
fireworks!
yaaa for suze!!
wtg sue !!!!!!!!
Yay Sue!!! Well done
Interestingly, Charlemagne was a king of the Franks
haha, true, o-o!
The circle has been completed. :-)
YAY, uusue!!! WTG!!!
I love "odd" or unusual names, i love that my kids and i never find our names in theme park gift shops. Them, not so much. 😊
it's hard to find Gwen on pre-printed name products, but I have one: a coffee mug about half an inch high. it's freaking hilaious
o-o, I forgot about that! And considering that both my DH and son are Franks, I'm sure my dtr. probably got some sort of satisfaction from that too!
We have a dog named Gwynne. Not sure why we spelled it that way. Welsh, i think....
yep, it's welsh. fairly common surname, Gwynne
gwen, if you use a sharpie marker, you can put whatever you like on a porcelain coffee mug, then put in cold oven and heat up to 350 f for 30 min, let cool then coat with acrylic sealing spray and yer done. a custom mug just for you!
We have a Flora, a Dalton, an Aidan, a Brenna, and a Campbell.
hello all....
*thinking my baptism name is boring*
but drinking out of that teeny tiny mug is funnier LOL
There are also dozens of personalization sites on the internet that you can have your name printed on mugs, t-shirts, etc.
howdy ,penquis
Of course, when we named our Aidan that, no one had ever heard of it. Now everyone and their mother names ther kid that plus every derivative you can think of! Lol
I know & am also related to both Brenna and an Aidan, eieios; I wonder if those 2 names are becoming popular these days?
my grandfathers were Azarie and Gaudiose.... ;o)
Pen, most of the names we were baptized with are boring.
i have indeed used sharpies to personalize stuff; not so long ago i put flaming chalices on my belt
true...
I wonder too. I got them from books. It is interesting to see where people get their ideas.
my nephew's name is Zepherim....
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Hooray!!
I know someone who named their son after the cat in the Smurfs!
flaming chalices?? lol
Quite often names can date you. There must be thousands of Kylies who will never get away with claiming to be younger.
we have one young lady in class with the name of Shadow
That's kind of like my Legal name (not that I ever go by it!). I'd only heard of 1 other person with it until around 1970; then a movie came out and suddenly it was all over the place. (I once worked with 7 other nurses on my unit alone all with the same name!
We had a young woman called Serena which is fine until you add her surname - Waters. bekieve me, stormy would have been more appropriate
(too lazy to look up the name of the cat in the smurfs)
LOL! I once worked with a gal named Misty (maiden name was Fogg!)
i knew a Crystal Ball....
cruel but true....
Another problem is initials. My nephew 's spell War
Shanda Leer. met her once at girl scout camp
We almost had an Andromeda Sunshine in our family, but my mother put her foot down with me ... so my daughter's name is Autumn.
Sandy Chambers, a highschool classmate - my dad said she sounded like a beach house!
Quite often modern names are fine when a child is young but imagine all the septuagenarians named Kylie.
OH! My sister met some triplets at girl scout camp named Einie, meenie, and money; last name was Moe! (and they were related to a MN politician too!)
like Tammy...
eww...
my initials are one of the most popular things on the internet (animated or not) " .gif " and when someone says TGIF I say you're welcome LOL
When I started school, aged 4, out of a class of 40, there were 9 Mary's. As one of those Mary's, I learned early that I had to be different, in order to stand out.
Just don't start me on all the stupid spellings on names nowadays.
uno
One of the Mary's in my class was called Mary Hayden. When we played around (spoonerised) her name, she became known, to this day, as Hairy Maiden.
(spell check doesn't shut off on my computer; that was Einie, Meanie, and Miney Moe
worken-firen-woot
That is a Catholic thing Soodle. In my Dad's large family there were 6 Marys and 5 Anns.
YAY, Gwen!!! WTG!!!
so glad i never went to a school with nine marys. once i was in a class with three karens, all spelled differently
yay gwen!
Yay Gwen. Well done
aw, gee, thanks y'all
lots of french canadian women were Marie Catherine, Marie Francoise, etc...
Oh don't even get started on Marie. I have six friends that are either first name or middle name Marie.
anyone need a clue?
And none of them are French or Canadian.
Yes please. Is the X used at all?
Marie is a confusing name. Is it MarEe or Maaarie?
nothing with an X in it, nope
or it can me mar-EYE-ah
Marie is pronounced as MarEe'
I got fireworks earlier, & don't recall using the X once.
Thanks, Gwen
and soodle
no prob jaxx7, you must like the letter X lol
Common pronunciation is Mah-ree
I wanted to enter uxor
ugh cant finish the crisp just yet,. forgot to set out butter to soften
Cos, put the butter in the microwave. Run it five seconds on each of the four sides. Voila, a softened stick of butter.
hm lemme see if I can get ryan to sacrifice the counter area where the microwave is. he is in his cooking mode
I have ways of getting people out of my way in the kitchen. None of them are pretty.
normally id scream GTFO but hes making chili and you dont mess with that
It's gone midnight here. I am off to my bed. Bye all
That's one of the ways. : D
night, jaxx!
But yes, if he is making chili, the crisp can wait.
yep thats why I said ok ill wait a bit..
at least the peeling is done and over with
Absolutely kyboshed this evening. I drove a round trip of 535 miles to visit my Dad. I think I'll noodle off to bed. Good night all. ( I could never say goodnight to a pack of valium....I think I'll stick with Babble).
Peeling is not a hard job if you get yourself a sharp peeler.
clue for first ca5/14? (It's been a long day...)
cos, I thought you said earlier YOU were making the chili!
I aint got none. I used a knife.
Oh I was. Ryan took over and Im like ok we got cable now so I'll watch tv.
Valium is not always an addiction. A lot of people take one on occasion to relax.
add another vowel in the middle of the first ca4/6, ch1212
LOL! cos, you're good! ;-)
Thanks, uu!! You rock. And with that, I'm out of here and enjoying my glass of chocolate wine. :)
*Makes a note for Cos's Christmas list* And when, exactly , are you eating this chili that is just now being made?
did you finish, ch1212? If so; YAY, ch1212!!! WTG!!!
Did indeed (sipping my wine)... and now I'm poofing!
chocolate wine? Sounds good, but I've never heard of it
Ca 5/14 first one
clued at 6:24, bluegirl
Oh duh
no problem; sorry for my spellcheck mis-spelling of your name too
Cu 7/8

Hello JenMO16! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid.
we are to get anywhere between 6-12 inches of snow
hi min
I live in NY&I just read that storm may stay south of NY.
I'm just tired of snow and cold.
just remember heat isn't any better!
Jen's storm is the one that is making it's way to the East Coast.
well it's cheaper here anyway...
my motto: if you are cold, put clothes on, because I can't take any off!
Da 5s
in 4-5 months we will be whining about how hot it is . america! :)
da + dance with repetitive syllables *** ***....
Heat is better. As Pen said, it's cheaper. And it doesn't dry your skin out or make you feel vulnerable.
that's what I mean, cos!
they are telling everyone, please don't travel tomorrow!
THIS year it would be, Jen. We've had over 47 days with temps below zero (F) and I still have well over 3 1/2 feet of snow on the level in my yard. My 4 ft high chain link fence is now only 6 inches tall.
Don't get it pen
And when it's hot, you can drive without worry of dangerous driving conditions. I hate snow and cold. I will take heat any time.
Since our last blizzard 10 days ago; the roads here are glare ice and lumps. Driving is the pits
da + this is a ***t log
da + a visa is a ***rge card....
bleugirl, think of the dance, the *** *** dance
tried that jen... ;o)
And the clues fall down like rain...or snow...
I know pen, I was trying to tell it simpler
da5/16 word is da plus acotr ***rlie Sheen & da5/14 word is da plus actress ***rley Temple bleugirl2 and hello there!
There are probably plenty of people (young) who have no idea what that dance is.

Your wish is granted. Long live Jambi!
I watched the HBO special a few years ago. They had the same people playing Jambi and Miss Yvonne. Wow. They didn't age well.
It's never a good thing when shows are reinvented years after their prime. It's kind of like a mid-life crisis. You just don't look like you did 20 years ago.
The magic was gone.
Thank God for DVD's. The story of Large Marge should live on forever!
and what was with the bandaid on that man's face!
The band-aid on who's face?
the man who told peewee the story of large marge
he had a weird bandaid in a strange place on his face
I'm lost. In the movie, Pee Wee gets in the truck and Large Marge tells him the story.
right and at that bar the old man tell peewee marge is dead
Oh, you are like my kids, every second committed to memory. I only remember the truck scene.
Just remembered the bullys name was Francis as well.
Ah yes, Francis, the drip.
I know you are, but what am I?
That one could be useful on Facebook. : P
ray when someone asks you if you are a god. you say yes!
Could I get a clue for cu6, please?
where your mouse points
thanks got it
Mine points toward Mecca
He's a Mouslim ..
How come I am the only one who gets shit..about punning...
my feline does not care about the mouslim cause he is catolic
I have never given you grief about punning, ruru:)
actually enjoy them. sometimes it is too serous in here anyway and I cannot keep the dirty limericks going forever:)

hello all
hi again.
hello
hi nef, phan.
how are you?
fine, and you?
fine. wondering what this next storm is going to bring and stuff, but other than that...
I wandered off and got some popcorn, now back. I'm tired of the cold and snow.; otherwise nothing new.
what's the latest? Some folks are g oing to nyc to dance tomorrow but i would never chance it,
I think most of us are, Nef. I am not sure what the latest is, haven't heard. Planning on watching the weather soon though.
hi everyone
hi welk!
can I have a clue for the SA 5/12, pls.
lol at your avatar.
accommodating folks, canadians :)
have you seen dorens this week? trying to figure out what to tell folks, where to meet up
I don't have it yet, phand, but am working on it
<-- thinking if we can't come up with a plan, we can all sit in the jacuzzi in the hotel :)
No. i got an nemail from her, she asked me a ? then i never heard back.
just bring the loquor.
I saw a clue that said it was bone related, but I am not getting it
and only if i can sit in it fully clothed.
sa 5/12 = think holy
there's a bar and puhleese, if i can sit in the jacuzzi, you can too
phand , leave the last letter off of the bone
it is part of your spine
or - sa + things you color with, ***yola
got it, thanks. :^)
i am watching "the goldbergs"/ i get a kick out of it because of the local setting.
caveat on my sitting in jacuzzi: no poolside pics. children would run screaming, babblers eyes would bleed
finally watched "Enough Said" I liked it.
oops, i almost typed "agreed" before i realize that is open to misinterpretation.
may I have a clue for the OR 5/14?
LOL - understood
you should get a room at the hotel so you can have a couple of drinks
i am feeling is especially after clothes shopping. and feeling i would like a phone call when all i got was a text today. :/
these days, communication is communication, text, phone email are all 'acceptable' (like it or not)
and i get you on the clothes shopping - i hate it
last year, je and i stayed up until 4 am talking
no they are not. a supplement, not in lieu of.
so i heard. i was jealous.
so stay overnight, it would be fun :)
was a crappy rainy night, no?
don't fret about the text - you'll just have to talk it out when the time is right
no, was cold, but i don't recall rain (but who knows, we were inside :)
i do remember thinking i would never get out of NB alive.
well, the time is right for me. scary
all the more reason to book a room and leave when it's light out
anyone have OR 5/14?
hey - hego's coming!
or + ***es and pains
oh my, fw! that snuck up opn me!
thanks, Welki.
yes, and mr. hego?
ooooh - mr hego in the jacuzzi with all of us!
(i don't know, but i would say he'll be there)
lol you
if you stay overnight, we can save the jacuzzi until later in the evening *lol* je and i planned to soak last year, but we never made it to the pool
love your gangstagrass btw
the 2nd CA 5/14 pls?
i was "youtubing" them earlier - i bet they're great live
ca 5/14 word is ca plus ***e wasn't built in a day phandmd
oh they are. and so humble. we've had them for three years, and booked them a year before but they had to cancel.
hi min
great! Thank you, Min. Now I am done.
hi min
Congratulations phandmd on your fireworks! Good for U!
well, if je were still a student, i would ask her to go to mardi gras at glen echo on tuesday.
Hello 72 Temple Owl! How are you doing on this Saturday?
a great band - leroy thomas, does not come up north much.
gonna say g'night.
bye, phan
niht, phan. seeyou tomorrow
my fb friends are in new orleans and lafayette posting photos of mardi gras. i am jealous, welk
Goodbye phandmd!I will see you tomorrow in the chat log
can you fly down and surprise them?
no. i will go another time. there was a loose invite for jazzfest. but my little hospital adventure is going to cost me as much as that trip to iceland.
a disgrace
with my eye surgery i am broke
oops, sorry, scratch that, i never said that , i am making up stories, i am exaggerating...
oh oh, missed about eye surgery, TO *worried mama look* are you going to be okay?
*grin*
hey all
how fishy is the A in the middle of the bottom row? it's my last blank...
Hello stidmama! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid.
hello Min! I worked 5 hours today in a blessedly quiet space at school and whipped a few things into order! It was a good day. :-)
i'll take what you said to mean that you have less money than you had before, but are not in any risk of starving
It is not fishy, just a little bit twisty and windy stidmama
okay thanks *thinking*
second letter please?
artery
yes. but iceland is a lot nicer than my hospitalroom
hey welki! frozen enough yet? We were just watching the hockey game in Chicago, and it looked sooooo cold
Could never go to my building on a Saturday to get work done, even if I wanted to. Teachers are not allowed to.
crumbs. thanks o-o! I seem to almost always miss that one
NBT!
I know, Min -- I have a few friends in your situation. If I worked in a school like that I would not keep as many things of my own there... I was sorting through the materials I brought to use and bringing home some of the ones I don't need there right now.
oh stid, it'd frigid here. -32C and the wind chill makes it feel like -44 (as if I can feel the difference between the two)
oh dear, that is TOO COLD, welki! (but I bet you knew that already)
ha. down to 26. I think I will list.
hu stiddy
Eighteen days plus thirteen hours until spring
i think i am going to pack it in. happy babbling. nice to see you, welk. we are bracing for another storm but they backed off on the totals for us
sweet dreams, TO. Be well.
spring doesn't mean springtime here in alberta, o-o - probably the same where you are
g'night owl
I am counting down to, o-o. Was hoping to be "home" before Spring this year, but we won't be. Hopefully before my school's "spring break" though!
Goodnight 72 Temple Owl! I will see you tomorrow maybe.
Ts toppled
Terrific stidmama!
Did you get the bathroom tiled, Stid?
no, o-o they STILL have not put the hardibacker board up!!!! *unhappy mama look* Tom is going to go haunt some offices this week to get them back on track. I can't do ANYTHING until the base is set up!
what's hardibacker?
I am hoping to be able to do it on the day that I don't have to be in school mid-week (conferences) in about three weeks.
Tell them you will deduct a procrastination fee.
it's a cement-fiber board that is water-resistant used in wet areas that will be tiled.
ah.
hehehe hardibacker - sturdy football player
:-) Well, they don't get their final payment until we are satisfied and have occupancy... and that won't happen until they get their part done! I have confidence in my leverage.
nice one, welki!
or a stiff linebacker welki?
down to 18, btw
Ss stomped!
uhm ru - i know not of what you speak.
so predictable
Rs removed...
Stupendous Stidmama!
mmmmm. my tom loves me. brought me a lovely bowl of noodles and "red sauce" (tomato sauce). Back in a bit! :-)
