Hi Ru and thanks :)

ty diz nbt nbs
ty diz
ty bro in 7 x 2
is the 9-10 a compound?
no color related
sheesh! fish me! thx dee
yqw
no idea
I always think of it as a stone
racy
not a racy stone though
the ca is a stone?
not that that helps me any
a coloured stone
the corner u plz
now those I can think of: emeralds, rubies, opals ....
Thank you for the ca9
but nothing beginnig with a ca
NOT a precious stone
and ca 10 plural, ru
the Victorians I think used it in jewelry
still no idea -- not a geologist
don't know it saanich
you need to learn to use morewords.com, nan... you would be less frustrated :)
someone will come up with a good clue!
yep - that's what I'm waiting for saanich -- only use morewords or a2z as a last resort
ca 9 - misspelling of a type of sin + male name
me too
Hope that helps
ca9 - family automobile ca*, famous elephant in a song ***lie, and british actor who played Lovejoy *** McShane
Missing one d from the corners grrrrrrr
Have to admit, I googled it - not a colour or stone I've heard of.
Hi worz :)
lol Morning all xxxxxxxxxx
i do NOT like this grid one bit
Me neither
Especially after the nice grid yesterday.
don't know the elephant and can't remeber McShanes first name.
the words today are very twisty in their finding, i must say
too tired -- off to bed - good night all
Did you see my clue, nan?
I think maybe your clue was too English, worz. I liked it!
yes - but don't know the elephant
oo 6/39
I didn't clue an elephant - I clued before worz.
Clued at 12.38
saw that one too, but can't think of the misspelled sin -- as I said -- too tired. Good night :)
ignore the elephant then, Dame ***lie Melba instead of the elephant, then for last three letters think infamous British murderer *** Brady
ty, diz for the oo 6
no idea on Melba or Brady either
The only melba i know is toast :D
i went to do some weeding and k***t down on the floor, followed by two vowels and a consonant
ca 9 - automobile + admiral ***son + male name
Nan. Let me try
Nellie Melba; Ian Brady
Ca...knowledge plus sounds like king of the jungle
us 6/24 an odd one to me
admiral ***son a the battle of trafalgar
ca knowledge - better than sin!
no good clueing it anymore, bless her, she's gone offline xx
If nan doesnt get this she is going to bed cranky
Never mind - guess she was very tired and frustrated with that word!
Funny - couldn't get the ap 6/7 - trying to spell it the US way, not the UK way, which is more natural to me!
thanks Liz!
yw!

Hi Sprite - hugs. How are you?
hello worzel
hi there sprite
*hugs Liz* Am a bit fluish, but otherwise fine, thanks. How about you and yours?
*hugs flosey* Love your icon :)
Freezing cold - by our standards! Our houses are not made for cold weather :(
thanks, wrong time of day here though
FWs
WTG Diz :)

wtg diz xxxxxx
Me too Flosey - love the icon and the words.
oh, being cold is so very uncomfortable :( Dress in layers!
ah, sorry you're not feeling well Sprite, hope it leaves you soon
gratz dizgrannie
thanks Liz
thanks flosey
Sorry that you're not feeling too well, Sprite.
WTG DIZ!!!
LOL - hubby sleeping under 2 duvets at night!
cooee and g'day from me. * swallowing half a bottle of magnesium*
hi rose
Hi Rose - fm playing up then?
thanks Liz :) Will be ok soon, it is nothing major.
helllo rose!
hi rose, my darling *hugs* Hmz, not a good day, I take it.
*gentle hugs, and hands sprite a very soft tissue* you poor thing!
You keep warm too, Sprite - at least in Europe the weather's warming up!
Morning Mum xxxxxx
it isn't too bad here atm. Overcast mostly, but dry and not too cold.
Was today a work day, Rose?
hey, flosey, liz, saanichcat, worzel, and i bet our pugs is in the background somewhere.
thanks, rose :) Have appt with the diabetes pedicurist in 90 minutes, so I will have to go out today. Not really wanting to, sigh.
so, what triggered the pain, rose?
yup, liz. and i was pounding the floor. i felt good at work, it's just now, after the event, my lower back has gone into such spasm. i am hoping i don't need to go to the loo.
that oo6 is a bit odd
what does 'pounding the floor' mean?
at the moment i can't stand up. so have crossed my legs, and fingers.
Well, I'm glad you felt good at work - old routines kicking in!
Call for the portaloo!
ummm, it means i did a far bit of walking. but i walked slowly, and made sure my weight was evenly distributed. my physio is going to go nuts.
ok, whatever it means, honey, do a little bit less of pounding next work day. Pace, pace, pace!
tiptoe!
am looking for it now, flosey
sprite, i have some very expensice shoes, good arch support, and gel pads in the heels to absorb the impact.
ah, found it. Indeed rather odd.
Sounds sensible Rose.
Good for walking about Europe and the US too!
rose, excuses excuses excuses! *stern mama look* Yes, that is all very sensible and good. But... won't do much good unless you take it easier as well.
*hands up** okay, okay. but it is so much later, like about 4 hours later, that the muscles are giving me gyp.
ahhh, magnesium kicking in
Relief!
I know, my darling rose. That is how it goes. First we overdo stuff, then we think smugly how much we were able to do and wow did it go well... and then reality hits us over the head with pain, spasms, sweating bouts and the shakes.
at least i can move around on the bed without whimpering.
sprite, you been peeking!!!
*grins* I was that fly on the wall you couldn't get :P
and you know, I am not saying all this to hurt you... just to remind you to take it SLOWWWW! Cause I know how tempting it is to go the extra mile, especially at work.
lol, i gave in an hour after i got home, and took a strong pain tablet...notice...only one....and i used the ice pack
Taking a break - 50 left but not liking this grid at all :( Hugs to you both
good pain management, rose. But still, all clear signs of having overdone it. Do half next time, max.
later, liz, dear.
bye Liz *hugs*
sprite, you have dosed up on vitamin C and echinacia, right? you know our immune systems are low, hun. and heaps of green tea, add honey and lemon juice.
yeah, am doing what I can, rose. Must confess that often making it all is too much of a hurdle for me. Will try and make myself a huge mug of tea once I come back from the pediatrice.
lol, don just cut the canary's claws. he, don, was quite cocky, saying at least he won't bite like a budgie. until the bird got a decent hunk of don's finger in it's beak.
she is gonna be mad at me, lol. I bumped my big toe yesterday. Na4 broken and blood all over the place.
ohhhhhh bad bird! Lol :)
i know it's hard to do, sprite. and if you are like me, you are sitting/standing there saying to yourself, why can't someone take care of me for on4.
deep inside, yes, that is it exactly.
awww, hun. *here's a shoulder, lean on it* sweetie, you can do it. i know you can.
that means a lot to me, rose :)
back, got into jammies so I won't wake hubby when I finally give up
wb flosey :) Wow, you look cute in your jammies!
lol, thanks (if you only knew)
and the slippers, to die for....lol...or may be not.
fuzzy warm sox
with the little grippy things on the soles?
no, these are really more bed sox I think
my friend gave me socks with fleece on the inside. So lovely soft and warm and cozy.
oh, please be careful, walking around.
nice gift, sprite
yes :) am very happy with them.
fine on carpet but kitchen is slippery
hm I guess enable doesn't know there are poo fl5
lolol, sprite!!!!
they're called dung beetles, dear
would you like me to list the biggies, no clues, just the stats?
lien
xxxx worzel xxxxx
oh bum, sorry folks! Why do I keep doing that?
we call them strontvliegen. Shit fl5.
which is different from mestkevers, dung beetles.
sorry Mum - had a bit of a dodgy tummy this morning so been in and out - literally - quite a bit this morning lol
ahhh, thanx for the in4
not for me yet, thanks rose. Can close my eyes if others want them though.
poor worzel, is your poor little botty sore, dear?
lol, I see ALF is in the grid.
just misread your earlier comment about cutting claws and thought you meant dad's toenails pmsl!!!!!!
oh, yeah, sprite...i loved that show
my botkins is rather sore now, i must admit. But I think I'm empty now so I should be okay. I'll get Di to rub some cream in it later - that'll be nice for her!!! *giggling inwardly*
*forgives worzel* hard to read straight when your brain is going down the loo....lolol
me too, rose :) Guess we both are suckers for sarcastic humour, aren't we :D
rose clipped don's toen4, but he bit her.
flippin' cheek! Anyway, it's hard to flush out a brain when it's not there in the first place lmao xxxx
sprite, stop it, you naughty girl....roflol
lmao sprite
ok ok, he nibbled.
knowing how babble chog goes, before the end of today people will say don hit rose and she bit him in revenge...
does the pa5/12 extend at all?
of course the male brain is in his bum, that's why when they stand up and walk around they have such bright ideas, more oxygen getting to the brain....lolol
am starting to understand why Liz doesn't like this grid. Jeezzz it can't hold half the words it claims.
oh mum you do "crack" me up!
worzel 2 ways to spell pa5
that remind's me of a one-liner - they say the virgin's is a wise-crack!
*giggle*
was about to tell another virgin joke, then realised it isn't one in english :(
brb
I should get dressed and ready for the foot fetish lady. Hmz. Sooo not in the mood.
*chuckling* just went out to check the bird. it's still sulking on the floor of his cage. and don is sulking in his chair. oh, dear, what can the matter be? lolol
you know it, darling. Two adult males in one house, never easy. Wait, did I say adult and male in one sentence? Hm.
now, sprite, you know you need this. go, and enjoy.
have you ever heard that silly song about that rose
goes something like this:
Oh Dear, what can the matter be
lololol, another double negative....gonna write that down.
it is not the being there that I don't like. It is the getting ready to go and the getting there, lolol.
3 old maids got locked in the lavatory
they were there from Sunday to Saturday,
yes, flosey, i knew you would pick up on it.
one seemed to care, cause nobody knew they were there
ohhhh go on, how does it continue?
and nobody knew they were there
lol, that's all I can remember
wow, that goes back to my teen years
ditto, flosey. it's too sad...i know that little ditty
found it: http://tinyurl.com/m53ugnv
wonder when it started? and how? and why?
thanx sprite
thanks Sprite, I'll check it out and get the words straight
back again!!
lol, you missed our song, Worzel.... from WAYYYYY back
"The fourth to come was old Mrs. Humphrey She shifted and jiggled to get herself comfy Then to her dismay, she could not get her bum free And nobody knew she was there"
I just read it lol. I know so many rude versions of that song!
ah, never heard the rest of it, too funny
it is rather hilarious :)
"The sixth old lady was Emily Clancy She went there 'cause something tickled her fancy But when she got there it was ants in her pantsy And nobody knew she was there"
such a giggle...oh my, sprite.
love it. Thanks for bringing it up.
ok, let's see if I can get dressed and babble at the same time, sigh... I don't wanna!
Bit like me - trying to play whilst running in and out of the lav!!! Roll up! Roll up! Come see Worzy and his amazing exploding bum!!!!
ewww sorry tmi!!!
aww worzel, plain water and toast, nothing on it at least until lunch-time, mate
thus speaketh our local medical officer of health
*gently pushes sprite* go on, dear, * deep breaths* you can do it.
i gotta go town in a minute, too! That should be fun! D'you know, I remember the old days - if you had to pay for a public toilet it was 2p, cheapest one in town now is 30p - it's a bloody liberty!
and now you will listen, worzel
*hangs head* oh dear. have i stepped out of place?
lol rose, you keep us healthy
oh I always listen to my Mum - she is the oracle of good sense.
ok, clothes on. Another 15 minutes of being at home :)
okay, flosey. you let me know if i step over that line, tight?
you needn't worry, rose
hmmm - a tight line?
then again, 2p in those days bought you half a bread, a pickle and a pint of beer.
was just being cheeky
and worzel, while you are in town, pick up some electrolyte replacement sachets.
you never do, rose. And if you did, we'd still love it. And you.
true, sprite, and you had enough money for a taxi home and fish and chips
aagghh...*right*
exactly. Since you can't get all that now for 30p, I guess it got cheaper.
i got some electrolyte in the house so I shall take one now b4 I leave the house xx
i just did a quick mental calculation and if you allowed for inflation between 1977 and today 2p for the toilet should actually cost you £4.38 now. Jeez, that's an expensive shite!
especially the amount of times I've been today!
see? Those 30g are a steal.
£17.52 I've spent so far this morning!
or 8p in old money . . .
actually in REAL old money it's 1 and 6
*giggling* i swear to God, my canary is actually pouting.
our rose has a canary and a manary and they are both out of sorts.
good lad, worzel, re taking the electrolytes.
right, I must away as I have an appointment in town. It's been an absolute chortle and pleasure being in your company, folks, and I entrust to you a pleasant day/eventide wherever you may celebrate it xxxxxx
bye worzel
bye sprite xxxxxx
hope your day improves, dear worzel xoxox
bye worzel - hope the appointment isn't a painful one
bye mum and ty and give Dad my love, and your sexy canary xxxxx
bye flo xxxxxx ty xxxx
*poof*
at least made it over halfway before having to go to the pediatrix. Not a gentle grid at all.
aww, sprite. nice job, dear. may be i'll see you later.
good for you sprite - I'm dragging, not even half way
I hope so, darling.
it isn't you dragging, flosey, it is the grid being brutal :)
ok, off with me or I'll be late! *hugs*
thanks sprite
xoxox sprite. i am with you in spirit
flosey, how can i help you? if you would like help?
rose, just really too tired, should be in bed
np's sweetie. will sit here quietly. if you need me, just yell
greetings friends
ah puglet, there you are, glad you're here
Hi Flosey, looks like I missed everyone :(
and thank you Flosey--how are you today
rose isn't very far away
I'm good thanks Pugs, totally over that nastiness
oh thats real good and about time too-lol
{{hugs}} miz pugs. nice to read that sunday went well for you, dearest.
thanks Rose and Hi and hugs---how did it go for you today? Was it better
pugs, the actual time at work was good. i did a fair bit of walking. and later suffered a lot of spasms in my lower back. all good now, dear.
Morning all.
May I please have a clue for ca9-60? Thanks
and helloooo peach
Hi Peach
hi there Peach
Hey, flosey. How are you?
back to normal, thanks Peach
Hi, puglet. I just came on, so don't know how long I can stay up.
that sounds like some improvement there Rose so thats good
Hi there, Rose.
Me too Peach--last two nights Ive had trouble sleeping
ca9, ca*, vehicle + k**e*, bend your knees to the floor + g***t, a very big person
ah, not much worse than being wide awake in the middle of the night
ty Rose
Thanks so much, Rose.
ok, just passed half way, off to bed for me
good morning folks :)
Good morning, Foffle.
ty rose for the ca9 clue
oh, hello foffle. how are you, dear?
hi Foffle and bye, I'm off to bed
Sweet dreams, flosey.
Hi foffle
night, flosey. i hope you have sweet dreams, dear
good night Flosey take care
I'm fine ty. How are you? Aww bye flosey
oh, wow, foffle. you got the ca9. i am glad my clue helped.
great clueing
good for you foffle. i had pretty bad muscle spasm in the lower back after working today. but now all is okay.
ooch! you don't need to tell me about back pain - I have it constantly.
foffle, may i recommend magnesium malate. my only source is vitacost in the US of A. it is highly absorbable, and definitely helps with muscle spasms. you must have good functioning kidneys to use it.
ty rose - writing that down. i just have pain killers just now and they don't even touch it
magnesium malate, is made from apple skins. it helped my 90+ year old MIL with her nocturnal cramps where no other drug would help. after taking it, she was cramp free for the first time in over 40 years.
:-0 that sounds rematrkable
remarkable
foffle, it would be interesting to know what your current magnesium levels are. it is a simple blood test.
when my levels were checked, they were abysmal. i didn't know that.
yes, I'm having a blood test done in a few weeks. i'll ask them to test for that too
yeah, foffle. the site is vitacost....in america...it takes about 3-4 weeks to deliver.
writing... is it expensive?
foffle, it is a component in my anatrin, another med from US of A, for the treatment of fibromyalgia.
morning :)
morning sarah
foffle, if you look at the magnesium preparations available, you will find, even paying for delivery, the magnesium malate is quite cheap. 1250mg tabs, 180 of them for under AU$10
morning sarah
that's very reasonable
ohohohoh...my dearest sarah, i was just thinking i need to email you
hi rose how are you hope you are well . we have a new puppy rose :) xx
*tears in my eyes* sarah, it's been too long. have seen your mumon line. but never you
been sorting bits rose but all sorted now
how are the girls? how are you? how is your dear hubby? how is mum? please email me. fill me in.
i will email you in bit :)
but all good :) xx
a new puppy!!! it is always so lovely to have a new pet, and watch it grow.
sarah, so much has happened here. i will email you and fill you in, dear. i am sooo naughty...
email me rose i have missed talking to you but was not in good place but all good now xx
Foffle...can also get magnesium malate from amazon.co.uk
bruno our puppy is so sweet my pic on here is him
dc43, hello from me. have you compared prices?
okay, sarah, perhaps tomorrow?? my wednesday. very busy, but will fill you in, sweetie
£16.42 for 360 tablets including delivery. Mine actually came from Belgium.
ok rose i will email later today xx
dc 43, check out vitacost cost. much lower.
thanks for the tip dc
yw
oh, just saw...360 tabs....yes, that would be better
ehhh, foffle, check out both sites....anyway you look at it, magnesium malate is what you need.
thanks rose - I'll look into both
above all, foffle. please make sure your renal(kidney) function is okay.
my renal functions are fine - checked recently
good. then go for it, dear. and i hope your life is much improved.
that would be a nice thought - i can't imagine moving around without pain
foffle, i so heartily empathise with you, dear.
ty rose. very sweet of you
nah, foffle. have been in pain constantly for over 10 years. i am always looking for an alternative to what the doctors want me to take.
lolol...i refuse to give in...there is always an alternative....
I don't bother with the painkillers any more - they don't touch it
then you are looking at other causes of pain...one of which is muscle spasms....and around we go....to magnesium malate...
certainly worth a try
yes, my dear. looking forward to your body's response to it. and praying rather vigorously that it it the answer.
it seems strange...i am a trained registered nurse...and i look at alternative medicines.
I'll have to wait until I get paid on Friday before I order
in the meantime, dearest foffle. check out the costs.
it just means you're an open minded trained registered nurse
*smiling at you* foffle....
:)) back at you rose
you know...i like to think i am an holistic nurse. quite willing to follow doctor's orders. but also, quite willing to question the orders, to make sure the orders are right for my patient.
good morning
{{rosie}} {{foffie}}
morning Ruby
Does anybody know about dogster? I made pages for Rafaella and for Ruffio, but I wonder what will happen next.....
{{little pugs}}
hiya ruby
I dont Ruby--what is it
I was hanging around looking at dog sites and found it and it was easy to create pages for the pups. Usually, I'm unable to do stuff like that.
but then I had 12 mails this AM asking me to join related groups. Uh oh.
{{ruby}}
ohhh. pugs !! you are still here...xxxx
I just been listening to you and Foffle
Rose hope you were not upset over the cartoon I sent you
cuppa tea time bbl
I thought the cartoon was funny!
bye Foffle
oh, my dearest pugs...no upset here...
enjoy your day, foffle
my sister sent it to me and i was just sharing
enjoy, foffle. nothing like a cuppa...
brb
okay... outta here. xoxoxox to you all. dinner nearly ready. see you at the flip.
back with cuppa :) happy days
bye {{rosie}}
see you tomorrow rose. ty for everything
wb, foffie
ty ruby
quick 74, but very far to go
I only have 59 and starting to struggle...
I finally read over the chog, foffie. I don't know how old you are, but I, too, have pain all the time, mostly from a twisted spine and related hip deterioration. However, I find that paracetimol + codeine, taken in the morning, permits me to function very well. I wTCH MY WEIGHT VERY CAREFULLY AND I THINK BEING SKINNY IS A HELP FOR MY SPINE AND HIP.
sorry for shouting, I have an errant pinkie which hits caps
I weigh myelf every day and eat accordinglyi.
I'm 61 and overweight oh dear
I'm 71 and stay about 5 lbs underweight, but eat enough protein
i'm a great believer in eating protein - my problem is that i like carbs too much
For the past 3-4 months, I've been walking our younger dog and although it is very difficult for me (she is headstrong and weighs about 70 lbs), the exercise is strengthening my legs and I've gained a lb of muscle in my (skinny) calves
My diet is pretty balanced, I just keep candy out of the house (except when I go to the movies, once a month lol)
well done! I can't walk very far at all. I have a walker which helps me
I eat one slice of whole wheat bread a day bbut with cream cheese, butter and jam and put lots of boiled milk in my coffee in the morning
Walking is very hard for me, too, but it is helping the dog get socialized, as she is very shy, and it is very nice to see the neighbors
sounds yummy
We eat lunch out most days in the close by, so-so restaurants and I EAT VERY LITTLE INNER
whoops, there goes y pinkie again.
before I started walking the dog, aside from kitchen stuff, I was spending hours reading on the couch.
Lazy me.
I hope you dont let the wind blow you away Ruby-lol
if i was in France I'd be in heaven with the food there. I used to go quite regularly when I lived in Holland
Mostly I cook for (old) husband and dogs, so I eat whatever is around for dinner, frequently just a chunk of cheese and an apple
Raffie is a good nchor!
always looked for 'La menu' at restaurants
anchor*
I much prefer food in the UK. We're in a ulinary "dead spot" here in the mountains.
culinary*
What I love is English pub food
I bought my Pug a new harness yesterday because she's got a neck like a pig and kept slipping out of her collar and she was all prancy showing it off-lol
Annecy? It's so beautiful there, I can't imagine the restaurants would be poor
When I was working, we imported lots of industrial glass from Glaverbel, so I went to Brussels 2 or 3 times a year and loved it
Everything is cooked with cheese or wine and the met is of very poor quality
Brussels is ok if you speak French but it's awful for Dutch speakers like me
Plus, because I am nervous with husband driving, We only go to 3 resto that are very close by, not even the 15 minutes into Annecy
aaah, that could be a problem. I have a very close friend who lives in Brussels, but although she is younger, she is unable to travel any more and I am too tied to husband and dogs to get out of here at all
I have to go now, but it was lovely talking to you foffie and much love to Pugs!!!
Mind you the 'Dutch' they speak in Brugge is hardly recognisable
bye Ruby dear, hugs
I loved Brugge but mostly went to Zeebrugge where one of the factories was :(
Brugge is beautiful
but I really loved the food on my trips as the company people wined me and dined me in style
*woof*
very nice
good morning again
SPRITE!!! Morning--love and hugs
heyyyy pugs *hugs* Finally :)
how are you feeling? You poor thing
yes finally --lol
will answer your emails after babble, had to go to the diabetes pediatrice this morning
all good I hope
oh, am ok. Just a touch of the flu. The foot lady bandaged the toe I banged yesterday, lol. She got all angry with me.
I havent been sleeping good for a couple of days and trouble with him truely too
oh darn it, darling. He should get his ass kicked. Or somewhere in that region.
you let your imune system down trying to entertain and all the stress too with everything
yes, it is true. It takes so much energy and once you run low on energy, every bug and virus grabs their chance, lol
the flu can make your sugar go whacky too---so how was your sugar this morning
hm didn't check, tbh. I know that when I get a fever, my sugar is crazy.
How did you hurt your toe
mine was up a tiny bit-145 but I think its from stress
stubbed it on the doorstep.
stress does that with me as well. When we had that shit with Tim, my sugar peaked like mad.
yow! I bet that stopped your heart for a sec-lol I stubbed mine last week on the foot of the bed and it didnt feel very good at all-lol
nah, I don't have a lot of feeling in my feet anymore. Didn't hurt that badly.
did you break it or just bruised it
neither. Na4 broken and lots of blood.
thats not good Sprite--are your feet and legs still swelling
have had neuropathy for years, long before I developed diabetes.
yes they are, but today isn't too bad :)
I need to come and take care of you--lol
hahahaha nah, you have your hands full with your sister and yourself, darling.
I hope you are planning on some days of resting and trying to get over all thats going on
today I can take it easy, we don't even have singing lesson tonight. Tomorrow I will have to cook dinner though, Rob will be late from work.
find something fast and simple then so you dont have to do too much
how is your day gonna be?
I told my husband that it will be soup, bread and something warm to go with the bread. Since I have to cook in fridays as well, and on4 a week is really enough.
since xp has stopped I keep having trouble with some of my sites and sending stuff---how are you and windows 7 doing
we are good friends by now. But my computer could handle win7, so I didn't have trouble at all.
that sounds good enough Sprite--they should understand you are not feeling well and up to full power
I hope this flu isnt that one that keeps going on and on
yes, they don't mind at all. Am gonna be smart about it and get a shopping list ready, so Rob can get the groceries for tomorrow as well :D
good for you! You dont need going out right now anyway
no I sure don't. Got rained on just now, on my way back from the foot lady.
I hope you didnt get too awful wet and cold
a little. But now am wearing a warm vest and socks and a little dog footwarmer, grin
what are your plans for today?

Sorry to hear, Crossy. Hayfever is very unpleasant indeed.

crossy, did you get your blood work done? And were you okay
bloodwork is ok sugar is so-so .I should lose a few punds but other than that, everything is good
cut back on salt etc
dont sound real good for you Crossy but not the worse it could be---lots of fun stuff for you to do
best thing I ever did was go from using a box of regular table salt to getting a salt grinder and using coarse sea salt. I cut back on my slat intake by at least 50%, if not more
salt*
so are you starting a exercising program now

hi bilt
ty, jmc:))
Hello ruby and Mimi
Hi ruby, jmc, Mimi
50 was big one for me, too, unfortunately it's a long time ago :(
hi bichon
hello everybody else (and any birthdays I've missed,,,,)
Mine's next month
back- hello to all arrivals :-)
wb, Wolvie
bichon, do you know about dogster? I listed both of y pups on there and created profiles for them. Was that a bad idea?
hi wolvie
everyone is invited to my place for a party. Bring martini fixin's :) I will supply the edibles;)
I didn't mind any birthdays before 50...then started getting "nervous." My birthday is in 8 days and I'm having a case of the vapors.
((mimi))
Hi, everyone!
No ruby, is it dogster.com? I have them chipped
What time should we be there, crossy?
an hour ago, biltong
sorry crossy only have jack and margarita fixings
travelling in that direction, maybe I could make up the hour.....
lol- that is hardly fair crossy- takes a bit to get a flight
Oh dear, missed it :( lol
well, bring that jack. Jack works for any occasion
Fly from Sydney and I arrive before I leave - so I could get there! Well true for Vancouver anyway!
Men don't have the same age issues as women...they get distinguished as they age...we just become hags.
lol,liz
true true but used all my frequent flyer miles for trip to china so will have to pass this year
those aussies; always showing of their time travel abilities;)
speak for yourself mimi. . . i am a grand dame
Seriously true - last year we left Sydney at 10.30 am and arrived in Vancouver at 7.30 am - same day!
for me, 50 was 2 1/2 yrs after cancer, so it was a big deal for everybody and the women in the office threw a big party!
what a nice memory
very cool Ruby :-)
LOL, jmc....I know...my cynical side was showing!
Good reason to party, Ruby :)
i threw a party with dancing and almost no one came and nobody danced :-(
And all these years later, I am grateful for every day, even though I whine sometimes
you are all grand dames:)
I was referring to attitudes I perceive in this country in general, not my own beliefs...yes, I feel women definitely have much more to offer the world when they're older.
aw well glad to drop by but must begin my day. . . tuesday I gets to sleep in until 7!
The women in the office were mostly Dominican, so there was lots of wonderful rum circulating as well as their traditional dishes -- and that was lunch time!
aww jmc- i would have tried if i had known lol
ttfn jmc
bye all! *waves* *poof*
Have a good day jmc
I nag, but I tell Mr. Bich that for every nag there is a "nagee" One who needs to be nagged

Big plans for today, crossy?
hahah, bichon
I need to refuel. bbs
my beloved knows that the more she nags, the slower the honey-do list goes. If I am left to my own devices however, I get it done because it was my idea, not hers lol

nothing big, mimi. going out for lunch after my classes today
*Rarely sees a "distinguished" older man*
You're looking in the wrong places, Molly!
Mostly, they are fatter, balder and fart more : D
a word of advice: don't look up old boyfriends on the internet. Except for Crossy, of course, they all look like monkeys when they get to be my age
it is my beard, molly. Gives Crossy that scholarly look. All the young ladies in class get me to edit their papers before they hand them in:)
Have a great day, crossy...you're another year better! Must get to work...hugs.
tc ((mimi))
bye Mimi :-)
lol, if I am a monkey, then I am one of those silverback gorrilias
Bye Mimi, have a good day

i was reading back thru and i just wanted to say i meet my man 8 year ago on Plentyoffish dating website. I put in my "must haves", went through some really awful dates, and then found him. I do say that you should only meet publicly, and only for 15-20 min for coffee. that way if it is awful, it isnt too long that you cant stand it.
dog, i killed the chug
I'm here for a wee bit - I meet my hubby thru the newspapers we have been married for 15 years now
i met my x hubby that way
those where the olden days
its been really good - and I knew the moment I saw him I was going to marry him! My friend has just meet someone thru the internet and he seems really nice as well
me too kaz. I told my man now, that i was going to marry him after the 2 date....didnt want to scare him.
I actually asked mine to marry me - we was at a pub quiz
Good advice Sue, for meeting anyone that you "know" from the internet. Always better to do that on neutral ground at first.
here in the south everyone drives and then stays home. I didnt go to church and i dont drink and drive, so no meeting anyone except when i was i shooting pool. but i dont date where i hang out, too uncomfortable if it doesnt work out.
very cool kaz
I am off again - need to go to town to get a fees bits and pieces.

get what?
i need two squares for nbt. lone E and last column A

Don't have those yet.

ca9 starts like a cheesy circus or side show and ends with the ending of a lizard that changes colors, then plural
Good morning Mom. I am slow to start .... what else is new, I'm not a morning gal.
I'm going outside to prune trees, when my mind awakens I will give it another go.
I don't expect to get them all on a large grid like this but I aim for at least half. I only do it for fun and for my brain.

I have an idea about where you can shove his carefully prepared dinner : P
hahah ruefully
I think a few days of cheese and crackers for dinner are in order.
I made his favorite, spicy chicken with fusilli
but if he doesn't want it, too bad
I'll serve it gain tomorrow and tomorrow after that
so I mDE MYSELF A RUM AND COKE AND HERE I AM
nsorry about caps etc.
sounds like he thought it was Fussili
Yo ho ho
hello ru and molly. It is so nice to come in here and not bbe yelled (or snarled) at
*Pats Ruby on the head and says there, there*
I can relate to that
I try to do everything right, but it doesn't always work. He accuses me of being "school teacherish" is I try to explain something
what would happen if you took the dogs for a little vacation and left him on his own
If they were smaller, I would. But I think he would die if left alone. He would totally stop eating
He and the dogs are totally spoiled, certainly my fault, but still......at least the dogs appreciate it
that's an awful lot of "responsibility" on you ruby
there's nobody else to bear the blame. I know it's my own fault, but he's so old....
was it always like this.. or did you start picking up the slack along the way?
hello.. 2nd column E stats please?
I'm "bluebeard" 4th wife and things were uch better before. At 60, he was enchanting; at 88, not.
4th?

I do have a sense of humor
bye dorens
I used to.....
although not everyone appreciates it around here :D
not so funny around here any nore. However, the younger dog has a great sense of humor' she's my scamp and very funny
humor is where you make it ruby..
What's weird is trying to "get" the Fr sense of humor. They basically like men with oustaches in dresses. Wen I can make a Fr person laugh, I feel like a success fou!
the French sense of humor is unlike anything else that's true
stats for 5th column A and O please?

Stay active. People that are sedentary age faster, especially in the 50's and 60's.
crossy is moving. Lots of hiking in summer and snowshoeing in the winter
I read something about the Bruce Trail the other day. I must come up there someday.
the Bruce rocks, Scrabby
just over 800 miles long
i always wanted to do a thru-hike on it
First, I must get my mother settled before I can go away.
She is improving but will be at the rehb center for another 2 weeks, I suspect.
800 miles is quite doable and not as intimidating as the adorndack (sp)
i am gladd she is getting better scrabbs
did she get a new roommate, Scrabs?
My first Adirondack trip is 8 -9 wks away. The second is 4 wks later. Those two vacations sustain me for the year, haha.
8-10 miles a day for the summerv.s the 14+ a day you need for the big U.S trail
She needs a new roommate or a private room. Her roommate is demented and disruptive.
aww, was hoping for the change
Appalachian Trail is the biggie here--Georgia to Maine.
thats the one i am thinking of
2200 miles or so?
The Nursing Director met with my mom yesterday. They are aware of the problem and will try to get her in a private room today.

lol thats funny...
I can't believe that there are 27 c's!!
And I have found only 14 of them
clue the 10?
When I first started doing this grid I obsessed over finished each and every one...not anymore
Yes, me too. I feel good if I reach at least half way, but it's not that important at all anymore.
My feelings exactly
sorry bleu dont have the 10
Do you have the ca9 bleu?
ca8, ca9 and ca10 all build off the ca7
So, do you have the ca7, bleu?
No, sorry, I have just given you wrong info, sorry
ca7 and 8 combo, and the ca9 and 10 combo, I beg your pardon.
ca9 - vehicle + ***lie the elephant + Scottish for John and plural. Hope this helps
ca9/10 - ca4 + space creature, only switch vowels around, then pl for ca10
or what mom said, lol
don't get it mom
the space creature = al5/10. Trade places with the vowels and tag onto ca4/5, then pl
did that help?
i looked it up. sorry couldn't follow.
so you got it?
yes thanks
ok, good. Sorry I couldn't think of any other clue
i'm slow sorry
Bye all, enjoy the rest of your day :)

Speaking of trouser trouble, le5 always reminds me of a road we used to drive by Le5 Court. Of course, every chance someone got, they made the L a P.
I guess that would make some people prick up their ears
The best ever though was when we drove by a place called Orchard Pond Apartments and someone had removed enough letters to make it Hard On Apartments. I thought my kids were going to die laughing in the back seat of the car.
that's funny
bb later..
