red boxes deleted my comment!
red boxes again
red boxes again
mutter, mutter, mutter.....`!@$^#!!%&(^ red boxes!!!
don'y anything mean about them or you will get deleted like I did
ditto hi rose
ok, going out to see if I can get rid of these red boxes, if I don't get back in I'll just go to bed, be back tomorrow
*giggle* hi saainchcat, g'day dee

Hi, Rose,Dee and Saan

{{hugs}} miz pugs
hugs back Rose
aaagghhh, can't believei missed the fish eggs.
Hi pugs
Hows work going Rose
it's good, thanx pugs. how's work for you?
going good :) I go to the doctor monday after work for my back
yay, pugs. that was quick to get in.
it was--at first they set it for next month but when I told her it was my back she set me up for monday
it's amazing how quickly receptionists can find that hidden appointment.....i bet she has had back issues too, and understands what you are feeling.
You think? I was wondering how she found a quicker spot-lol
good morning all
hehehe they always keep some spots open for emergencies.
Morning Sprite :) hugs
hello my darling sprite. XOXOXOX big hugs and kisses today.
*hugs pugs and rose* How are you both doing?
how did it go over night Sprite? better?
Iam feeling good
dry and clean, so yes, much better. Dreams though... I killed president Bush last night. Because several people had had a vision of him using nuclear weapons. And I told people afterwards that every birth took place in blood and violence... as did the birth of our new state.
am glad you are feeling good :) Well done!
and you, rose?
yuck Sprite! well part of it went better. What weird dreams
all good here. sitting on bed with legs elevated. we went out to a film yesterday, grand budapest hotel, then on4 pancake parlour for dinner.
ikr! Such crazy dreams. And nowhere near anything I have seen or read lately.
oh how lovely, rose!
sounds like a nice date night out Rose
its hot and muggy here this early in the morning
we had a couple of days like that, pugs. But today is cooler.
they keep saying rain but havent seen any as of yet
your weather is really off this year, isn't it pugs :(
did we lo4 our rose already?
It is Sprite----I went out looking at my flowers and stuff and I got teeny tiny grapes on my new vines I planted last year. :)
oh wow that is great!
when I was coming from the campgrounds saturday morn, a mommy fox was out with four pups. They were so cute
that is special! Nothing like that here. To see real wild life, we have to go to the woods in the middle and east of our country.
and back. worked out why i was sore...forgot to take regular pain meds 3 hours ago. i was at the physio. * sigh*
she just stood there cause one pup was on one side of the road and the other three on the other side--she didnt know which way to go-lol
welcome back Rose
ah, good that you remembered, rose. They will kick in soon and you will start feeling better. *hugs*
there's kids for ya, pugs, lol. Always messing with da mommy's brain.
thanx pugs and sprite. and i can still have them again before bed. thank heavens i remembered in time.
lol--so true
Hi all and hugs :)
g'day liz.
hi Liz :) *hugs*
was this your last day for the week Rose
am glad, rose. Well done.
Hugs and Hi Liz
nope, pugs, tomorrow is the last one. and i see the GP tomorrow after work.
will you keep us up to date, please
Have you seen the specialist for the FM yet?
what pugs said
okay, will email you all when i come home.
oh, if that's okay...lol
thanks Rose :)
lol yes, that is very ok, thanks rose
Me too, pls :)
liz, should be getting the referral tomorrow. *fingers, eyes and legs crossed* hoping i won't have to wait too long.
Really hope not.
Iam so LUCKY to have you all as friends :) Love you guys
if the clock strikes, you will be like this forever, rose. Please uncross.
yeah, well the pelvic floor muscles ain't what they used to be.....no good at hanging on any more.
and we love you right back, pugs, and are lucky to have you for a friend.
what sprite said, pugs
Like sprite said :)
oh, am being referred to a team of specialists for the incontinentia. One of them is a pelvic floor muscle physio therapist
Hope that they can sort you out too :)
sprite, could you please saveus time, and just type ditto rose and ditto liz. ....not that we're lazy or anything like that...lol
dittto
lol I hope so too. And I asked my doctor why the referral to the dermatologist for the swollen feet, and she explained that he/she can determine if I have catarracts (?) in the leg that you cannot see from the outside.
ROFLOL!!!
roflolllll I could! I DID use the 'we' for all three of us, of course. No royal plural for me.
Why not milady?
at what liz said. sprite???? don't think so....
no blue blood... I have seen it and it is all red...
hold on, will look it up.
lollll totally wrong. Varicose veins.
ummmm, yeah that would do it....lolllol
lol, how stupid of me. Ok, will try and not mix them up again.
not stupid at all, dear. just out of practice.
lol
BBS - time for post - gym snack.
ok Liz :)
enjoy liz
bye Liz
*hugs pugs extra*
why?
just because
thanks and hugs back in bunches to you all
thank you :)
am liking the hugs... ;-)
hugs are the best
well this morning has started off so much better then yesterday's---I missed everyone :(
in person would be the best of all
yeah I was totally off schedule with the doctor's appointment and then the tiny grid.
looks like rose is seriously planning to make that happen, pugs
oh, you betcha....as soon as theis rehab stuff is done and dusted, we are outta here.
that will be so grand --wont it
it would be absolutely awesome.
after the crying, hugs, kisses and laughter, what we gonna do then?
we will start over
do it all over-lol
snap, pugs :D
me three
like minds Sprite-lol
i wonder if we were triplets separated at birth?
nah, we are sister souls that had to learn different lessons in different parts of the world.
you think? or one spirit split in three
well I dont like mine--lol
there's some old geezer, sitting there watching us, and waiting for us to finally get together. if he's running a book(betting book) on it, i want a piece of the action.
*sigh* we never do. The more important the lesson, the harder the process of learning it. But hell, at least we will have lots to tell eachother when we meet!
oh yes, me too. Could retire out on the action, no doubt. Who'd've thunk we would make it this far??
what's left to tell?? oh....just thought of one.....nope not gonna say it.....
against the odds, dear hearts, we are here, and united...
I think babbleland knows all my w4 by now--lol
*giggles* I have no doubt whatsoever that we will have endless stories to swap. Getting us to shut up long enough for the hubbies to get their 2 cts worth in, that will be the problem.
against all odds, for sure. Alive and kicking. And pugs, I need to hear them voiced all again :)
I think God has put us on each others paths
of that I am certain. He could have done it a bit earlier though. And given us wings.
pugs, to you they are w04's, but to us they are precious, because they are a part of you, and what it has taken to mould you into the beautiful caring person you are.
amen to that
thanks guys, but I think I could of done without some of them-lol
oh, pugs, did the new pastor come yet?
I dont know Rose cause I didnt go last week due to my back
side note: there is a little Terra snoring on my feet. So cute.
Rose, I owe you a letter--I have started one several times but have canceled it--Iam sorry, I will get it done soon, I promise
you know, pugs. wo4's are like kids, and which one of my kids would i have chosen to not have. i can't choose. and the wo4's you speak of are part of you....some worse than others, granted, but without any one of them, you may not be the person you are now. those troubles have given you a lot of in-sight and understanding of where other people are.
your own foot vibrater-lol
lolollll
np's pugs, when you are ready, dear.sprite, it is so cute, the way terra does that.
I love it. Something so endearing about him sleeping that deeply on top of my feet.
maybe all the rewards are waiting for me there then-lol
am sure you have a load of them coming your way, pugs
it's almost like he's saying, well if i can't get into your skin, i'll lie on your feet, as you never go any where without them.
true :D :D The other thing he does is when I go lie on the couch, he settles on top of me. Draped all over my hip and legs. And sleeping like a baby.
oh I seen the cutest thing the last time I was in town--some young mother was walking a huge germanshepard dog and pulling a red wagon with her small girl in it and in the wagon was a big pitbull sitting with the child, just enjoying the ride--lol
it amazes me just how much they can sleep.
awww that is so sweet, pugs
oh, for pete's sake, pugs! really?? how cute
rose, what really amazes me is they can sleep all day, but tell them we are gonna go for an outing and they come alive fully in less than a second.
I think I would of tied the wagon to the shepard--lol
Back :) and trying to ignore the testosterone groans and shouts of the guys up the road psyching themselves for the State of Origin match tonight.
yeah, from a full stop to full throttle in 2 seconds.
wb, liz
Sprite is terra yours or the family pet
welcome Liz--feel better
what did we have for our post-gym snack?
roflol Liz, ikr! I go upstairs when Rob watches an exciting game. With every yell and groan my ptsd reacts and I have a racing heart and panic hormones throughout the body, lol.
fully the family pet, pugs. He loves me best for sleeping, Rob for adventures, Caya for endless cuddles and Tim for playing.
Crisp bread, smoked salmon and cottage cheese - high protein diet.
yummy!! you have good taste.
And coffee of course!
omg. Liz, darn it, can't you warn before saying such things? Now I have drool allover my keyboard :(
oh, of course, coffee...
Find the tissues!
just dont short it out Sprite-lol
I have a keyboard with backlight. Highly dangerous. *mumble mumble darn Liz with her smoked salmon mumble mumble*
We eat a lot of it - get a good price at the local Sunday market.
lucky you! We don't get it that fresh or for a good price here.
*groan* and here i am, consuming a teensy-weensy pack of BBQ shapes, baked, not fried, and trying to tell myself how delish they are.
seafood is very high here
you are a hero, rose
That's weird. So much sea I expect fish to be cheap and fresh in the Netherlands.
*pouts* don't wanna be a hero.....
lots of fish is, Liz. But not salmon.
lol Rose
who does, rose, who does.
wanna be fat....oh, wait, am already fat....okay....
My indulgence - a UK snack called twiglets. And I can get them locally :)
I seen your pic's Rose and you are not fat
liz, the miniature salami sticks?
good grief, woman, you only have one indulgence?
I am fat. I mean, really obese.
no negitive thought about ourselves-lol
No - many more than one. No Rose, it's a marmite flavoured wheat snack. UK marmite, not Vegemite.
well, i used to was. lol....i pulled out a blouse i wore on our last cruise when it was skin tight on me. now i can almost fit another person in it as well as me. but....i am still waaayyyy to big for my height, which if you all remember, is getting shorter, and shorter.
You're all lovely.
oh that is not negative, that is the simple truth.
wow rose, well done!
the pics you sent me Sprite--you were lovely in them
hmmm, that's sounds yummy. we used to have marmite when we were kids. graduated to vegemite when we got older.
aw thank you darling.
Will eat Vegemite only if I can't get marmite.
I would love some fresh warm doughnuts but cant have them now
you can have one, pugs. Once in a blue moon.
one wouldnt do it--lol
lol I know the feeling :)
I got all this loose hanging skin now and I look like I dont know what--its ugly, ugly, ugly
STOP IT!!!! it's torture. i have been so good, and not given in, but now i gots to have them, fresh cinnamon doughnuts
it is not, pug. It is just loose skin, showing how much weight you lost. Remember, about relabeling things into positives?
I need that mirror from snowwhite's story--lol and one that lies--lol
Don't believe that, pugs. It's great if you've lost that much weight.
ah, go on, pugs. just tuck it into your drawers. no-one will be any the wiser.
its true Liz--I dont know how to fix that
just like i do my boobs...
I mean it, pugs, these are the things you can work on :) Don't allow yourself to tell you you are ugly. You are not.
okay, one pair of step-ins going into pugs' care package. keep this up, i'm gonna need a bigger box
lol rose, like that Maxime cartoon where she says she woke up, got out of bed and thought she had a heart attack, such vicious pain in her chest... until she realised she was standing on her nipples.
well I cant see myself as any thing but----saggy, skin and a huge hernia--yuck
Lol
roflol, yes sprite...
am gonna email you, pugs, after babble.
I know self image is important but personality is much more important.
well seeing what I see, my dreams of what you all have is gone
is that good or bad Sprite
it is always good, honey, because I love you to pieces.
Gooooooooooood morning fellow Babblers xx
Wheres Wor with his cin. cake-lol

Hi worz :)
Hey Sprite xx
Hiya Liz xx
Lol. speaking of the de--of darling-lol
And I must say the cinnamon cake is very delicious!!!
morning pugs ((hugs)) xx
duh, of course it is. Cinnamon is wonderful.
Morning Wor--hugs
yahooo!!! hand-springs, cart-wheels and penny bangers. g'day worzel.
Sounds yummy.
cinnamon is the best ingredient the Americans ever gave me!!! Oh, that and peanut butter in chocolate!

featuring Penny Bangers and Dill Doe.
Lol

Love it!
oh lovely, rose! Adding it right away.
and to you, darling sprite. enjoy your day, sweetie.
hugs and bye Sprite--love ya and blessings
nn sprite x take care x
Hugs, sprite. Have a lovely day.
Rose or any of you guys, have you heard anything from Zoom
not for a few days pug
not since the other night. the funeral is june 4th? i think.
been thinking of him and his family
I saw this morning that he'd been here earlier but I haven't seen him myself.
June 1 I think.
thanks guys
well at least i got the right month...but he knows we are all thinking of him.
Lol. I guess it could've been May!
the last I talked to him, his mom was not doing too well
yeah, and they have had a doctor to her, but she won't take the medication prescribed.
Never good for a parent to lose a child. I remember my grandma saying that when my mum died.
it has to be one of the most heart-breaking moments in a parents life.
it is hard to deal with
Must be.
I know from losing mine--its something that never leaves you
hang on, going into archives to check chog.
okay, back. funeral on june 2nd.
Lol - both wrong!
thanks Rose
thank goodness it was there. i think i will email crossy. have a feeling they are in touch.
I hope I see him here. I'd like to send condolences and hugs.
if you do Liz,please add me too, please
Sure, pugs.
And same in reverse!
certain words are rather unpleasant, as you're all aware, but I really think that wo4/10 should be excluded from the Babble dictionary, personally
I will
I agree worz. I think that word is worse in the UK THAN HERE THOUGH.
sorry about the caps.
Wor, hows Di
To be fair I don't mind any word and even the N word doesn't offend me a great deal, as the black brother/sisterhood use it themselves, but the w word I actually find unnecessary
Di is fine pugs - still asleep bless her x
her shoulder all good now
It seems to be. Mind you it's her head now! She was under the stairs cleaning out the cupboard and banged her head on the shelf. We both laughed until she sat down and decided it was hurting more than she thought! But apart from being a little sore on top she's okay now - no permanent damage (well, none that wasn't there before teehee) x
I'm going to stop chatting now. iPad battery very low. So hugs to all - before the battery dies completely!
Take care Liz x
hugs and Love Liz see you in the morn I hope
good luck with the grid, liz. it is quite nice, despite it's size.
awww, poor diane. give it a kiss from 'mum'. that will make it better.
I tried to kiss her on the head last night, as is my wont, forgetting that she'd banged it and she went "ouch" - so I have to kiss her elsewhere now
but I shall give her a wee kiss from you Mum
tell her it's from 'mum' . and be gentle, worzel.
i can see the cogs working mum - glad you avoided it!!!
give her a hug from me and tell her hope she gets better soon
i will pugs xx
obviously just the cogs in my dirty mind then lol
well wash that thing out Wor-lol
nope, wor, as you said....but not going there...lolol
See - I just can't behave can I? teehee
why not Rose-lol
because i don't want my boots splashed....
wouldnt want you no other way Wor--that just you-lol
boots splashed? maybe i shouldn't ask . . .
worzel, you are lovely as you are.
you got hip boots Rose-lol
oh dear, have i just revealed how old i am?
awww thank you! and you are lovely too - ALL of you!!!
you just turned 31, didnt you Rose? lol
AGAIN!! pugs. that's twice now....lolol
you are still just a young chick Rose
Wor is the baby here-lol
omg i wish!
If you call 43 young!
I would!
so do i!!
Iam in the classic age now-lol
I do feel a lot younger than my age - well, most of the time - until I stop to think that my first marriage began 24 years ago!!!
have you enjoyed your long weekend, wor?
I feel young in my mind until I look in the mirror-lol
then don't look in the mirror. for goodness sake! isn't that obvious! silly girl.
long weekends are all very well and good but it rained most of the time so I couldn't get out and do the garden or anything! That's why we did the cupboard under the stairs. It's funny the things you find under stairs - bit roll of bubble wrap we didn't know was there
*big
I try to Rose--lol
lol, yeah, worzel. we are missing an old photo of 'dad's ' parents. was it there?
you dont have a water garden Wor?
probably in our other cupboard! Either that or in Di's drawers somewhere - her drawers are full of rubbish - mind you so were mine until yesterday - had a good clearout
as opposed to a water closet!!
Rose, do you have a family tree
oh, dear, wor. so am not going there.
no pugs i don't exactly have a water garden, although if the council had their way we would - there's been a burst water main down the road for five days now and they still havent sorted it out
no mum, best not to . . . lol
hey pugs I looked up my family tree once - only to find most of them still living in it!
was that in a bannana tree? lol
no, some kind of nut tree lmao!
not officially pugs. we can trace the family line down dad's side to an ambassador in the court of belgium. and on my mum's sode, we can trace to two spanish princesses, one of which was smuggled into england and married into my ancestor's family.
I think stuff like that is cool and interesting
i shall return momentarily - i need to spend a penny banger! *minipoof*
the belgian ambassador drew captain james cook portrait for which he sat in person.
We are related to General Lee on my grandmother side. Her brother had all that stuff but I dont know what has happen to all that now
and mum's great-great-great grandfather settled and helped to establish on of our major rural towns.
I know next to nothing about my mom's side
wow! pugs. amazing.
My mom never talked much of her family and now that shes gone I wish I knew more
mind you, my grandmother's father was a paddle-steamer captain on the murray river. he only came home once/year. impregnated his wife with the next kid, and then left. grandma was always allocated to take care of the toddler, while her mum took care of the new baby.
so interesting Rose--does any of your boy's take a interest in all that
do you have pictures of any of them
you should write all that down if you dont have it for one day they may want that imfo
Boo!
welcome back Wor
thank you x
Wor, is your parents still here and do you have brothers and sisters
i have a photo of my great-great grandmother in her salvation army uniform. i am the image of her when i was younger.
wow Rose
what was her name
Pugs I am adopted and know both my families. I have 2 claims to fame - one is that one of my adopted greatgrandfathers was Sir James Prideaux in the 17th century who was an MP or sorts. The other claim to fame is rather a point of some sobriety at the moment - adopted-wise I am related to Rolf Harris
Not sir James Prideaux, Sir Edmund Prideaux - don't know where I got James from!!
now that i cannot answer. one day i will register with genealogy.com. and try to do a full search. no time now. btw...my father was known as Wilson, but his real surname was de Buvry de Mauregnault.
I will have to look those names up for I dont know them
so no brothers or sisters then Wor
mum are you kidding? I studied the buvry de maurengnaults for my university dissertation - all the way back to around 1520 I believe they went
the weirdest thing happened to me in the 90s. I worked for a clothing company and worked with a man who's surname was Boeree and he was related to one of the wives of the buvry clan
sorry pugs - wasn't ignoring you! I have a sister in my adopted family and four sisters in my real family
worzel, not kidding. perhaps you can send me some links/information. it would be very interesting to me.
I got five sisters too-lol
To be fair Mum It was 26 years ago lol - although I do know they became rather big in the Netherlands in the 1800s and I think the male line died out in 1998 - well, the direct line anyway, but they were an extremely extensive family and even had links to nobility in France and the UK. I shall try and find some more for you
worzel, my grandfather was pieter daniel, and he had a brother known to us as john.
how strange isnt Rose, that Wor studied on your family stuff
absolutely, pugs. our world is so small, in reality
I hope you can find some good stuff then
worzel, i knew about the nobility.
Yes, Pieter Daniel was a great grandson of Johan Pieter Maurengnault who was the first man on record to take his wife's surname of Buvry, the lineage from then on becoming de Buvry Maurengnault - or de Buvry Boreel Maurengnault. A lot more of the details are quite blurry to me now - as I said it was a long time ago that I studied it. Isn't it a small world though?
because, ambassadors were only selected from the royal families.
WOW!! are you talking about MY grandfather?
In the 1800s Raphaela married some woman who's name escapes me but she was known as Lady Seesaw lmao!
how surprising! Wow
Was Pieter Daniel your grandfather? Blimey!
this is so amazing!! worzel, you are inspiring me.
go for it Mum - go find out some more - you never know, you may be noble yourself!!! Which, of course, we all know you are anyway!
yes, worzel. he migrated to australia on a troopship after the first world war. he was the champion wrestler on that ship.
I can't be 100 per cent sure we are talking about the same man though, because Pieter and Daniel were used extensively for around 250 years - they didn't seem to have much originality when choosing names lol
okay. i certainly need whatever links you have. this is so exciting.you may be able to unravel my family history.
Love and Hugs to you guys--got to go shower and get ready for work. Big blessings to you both---:) See you in the morn
good luck Rose--hope you find out a lot there
I don't have links but I could probably find some. I'm going from my memory of the studies I did years ago. Di says I've got rain man syndrome - i can't remember this morning but everything else is as clear as crystal lol
Take care pugs ((hugs)) xx
enjoy your day, dearest pugs. xoxox
Right, I best scoot off for a bit - time to wake the lovely lady up and make her a cup of tea xx
okay, mate. see you tomorrow. give my love to diane.
I will do Mum - and happy hunting! xx take care xx *poof*
and give my love to Dad!!!!!! *POOF*
granny rose, i have been eavesdropping on your conversation with 'Mr Gummidge'. I am a genealogy nut and can only advise you to ask your questions now before your folk are gone. It is so frustrating when you hit a brick wall and can't ask the relevant questions. Then either record it on paper or electronically for the next generation and beyond. They too will not ask questions at thr right time. As for names being repeated there was a code for naming children after close relatives so there were lots of the same names, very frustrating for those of us trying to research.

just make sure you choose a time when the weather is good
now all I have to do is get brave enough to leave the hotel!! haha
Never been to China, there must be a lot to see
little steps :-)
I would aim for August because if I went to GB I would have to travel to scotland and see the isle of barre
there is. . . i have seen the forbidden city, lots of buddhist caves, sand dunes in the Gobbi dessert, and now shanghai. . . but all was with my friend until today. . .
It's a complete shot in the dark - there is no predicting the British weather
I'm sure you'll be fine exploring on your own.
i just figure it is likely to be a tad warmer then. . . I am from the American South and get cold in Maine so I am sure I will freeze in August in Scotland
I forgot to mention the great wall. . . it is my current icon
I am sure I will too. . . I find I do fine when I overcome inertia!
is the me8 a pt?
Get a drink somewhere you can watch the world go by to acclimatise
yes.
I've no idea I don't have it
haha i will have to do that outside the hotel if it is going to work. . . .this is a party city though
ty amelu and hi
the bar here is open until 2 am and one of the restaurants is open 24/7
lol, it could just be a cup of tea
~:o) yvw & Hi back atcha...
phantom:meteor
haha yes and I do love Chinese tea!
you are up early amelu. . . .
ok I must do some work, enjoy the rest of your trip
jmcnrick - Take a stroll on The Bund and go into the Peace Hotel for a drink. Also the area called Xintiandi is a great walking about, shopping eating area.
bye nice chatting
hi dianne. . . i see you are nearby me. . .
. . . relatively
Like New York to Florida near by.
haha I grew up in Texas so that doesn't sound too bad!
yes, jmc, sorry I think I broke the chog (for myself, anyway) for a minute... I got too much sun yesterday and can't get comfortable enough to sleep, so here I am... The river was beautiful, tho, and well worth the discomfort. ~:o)
I have traveled a lot in the US by myself and a good bit around the world with others. But this is my first time to travel outside the US by myself.
oho so it was YOU amelu and I had just figured out the 8 and could have said: NBS!
which river?
The Mississippi?
Pascagoula River (Jackson County, MS)
I had a bevy of great aunts who lived in Miss. including one in Tyler Town which I believe is in Jackson County
No, our boat is just a 14' river runner... don't believe she'd much like the big ol' MS.
saw your light on, thought i would drop in...lol..thanx jaxx. and g'day to dianne, jmc, and amelu. amelu, nice to meet you.
She helped design the quilt square for her county in a state wide quilt
hi granny . . . I have been seeing you a lot more since I decided to come on your side of the planet. . .
jmc, you in shang-hai? is it gob-smacking?
I always loved the sound of the word Pascagoula
Tylertown is north of LA in MS, I'm in the bottom right corner... but closer than FL to NY or even TX.
darn, timer going off, dinner ready. see you all later. xoxox
the ride from the airport was even though I have been in Chinese cabs for more than a week. . . the driver didn't like my handwritten Chinese. . .
bye granny enjoy your supper
yes we would drive to Tylertown from Houston by going on 10 and turning left. My aunt lived on the first right past the border in the first house.
I have relatives in Jackson, Colinsville and Kosciusko.
I'm sorry I assumed Jackson County was near Jackson MS and the Natches Trace -- the most beautiful drive in the United States.
I am always amazed how connected babbleland is!
if you took 10 all the way to the east side of the state, you'd pass Bay St Louis, Waveland, Gulfport, Biloxi, Ocean Springs... we're just north of where hwy 57 meets 10.
indeed, it is a small world.
oh okay. . . one of my other great aunts lived in Gulfport and a great uncle in Biloxi
that's closer to me. Hancock, Harrison and Jackson counties make up the MS coastline...
well I am going to go brave the streets of shanghai for a while. . . nice talking with everyone and nice meeting you dianne. . . . maybe a babble meet up in Hong Kong the next time I am in this part of the world. . .
enjoy! we live but once!
*blows kisses and runs out of chog*
jm - be brave and have a grand time.
Could I get a clue for ar7, please?

Hello Molly grappa girl reporting
((ruby))
{{crrossy}}
There once was a lass who drank grappa Who said "Hey, I don't give a crappa" If my husband's a grump He can sit like a lump With no one to sit in his lappa
Hi all - lol, Molly
LOL, molly. very good
Thak you, Moly, that is too funny. I'm writing it down
John keats has nothing on you, molly
There was a nice lady named Molly, Always quite smart and so jolly,
She played with us folks, Always sharing her jokes, Too which we oft' said, "Oh by golly!"
lol
Another poet!
(hers was better, but Moly hasn't had two grappas)
Wish I could write poetry
for those into pain, my poetry can be found at poetry.com
Nice job Ruby : D
yours was better
May I have a clue for the middle E please? Need it for NBT and am apparently blind!
It's not a competition my friend. We're all pretty. : D
I think they were both better than I could do with or without two grappas
hahah jaxx
It is a fun thing we do.
et e try oe with jaxx.....
Champ, try eg 4 and 5
that was "let me try one"
good morning all
The ere was a fair woman named jaxx, Who played our fne game to relax,
howdy teach
Two grappas?
Oh good, the grappa is kicking in. Maybe the next one will be dirty.
hello crossy
I don't think so, those days are long past.....lol
No way Ruby. Once a naughty girl, always a naughty girl.
Hi, teach. I am waiting for the punchline in Ruby's poem
Thx Molly!
Whilst finding more words, Was distracted by birds,
if anyone is interested, and all have had enough grappa, i will share one of my published poems with you.
Go on then
Consider... this door before me; cracked, splintered. the paint peels and flakes on my hands, i lay my hand on it still.. trying to see; the future unknown, the past useless, written in stone. i hold the knob, not filligreed but unadorned, i take a breath and.. a slim hand covers mine, beloved.. we turn the knob, open the door as one, and step into the unknown, our strength more than the sum, of me,of you, together.
But continued to make funny cracks
You've stunned Ruby into silence :)
Well, that was fun while it lasted.
It took me a while to rhye jaxx!
beautiful crossy
Tht couldn't happen, jaxx, as Molly knows
anyways, time for class, tc all and happy babbling
poink!
there once was a lady named jaxx'
Good and touching poem, Crossy!
who always made hilarious cracks
good morning, poetesses and everyone
And then there wa Annie, Who had a cute fanny, and was much loved by us hacks
by all of us hacks*
Oh dear God, don't use fanny. It means something racy to the Brits.
what? what?
"tant pis" to the Brits if they can't tke joke
take a*
And you all are much tamer than I am. I mean, the mere fact that Jaxx rhymes with cracks...
Annie, to the Brits, fanny means lady parts
they have that backwards, lol
I think I can cope with fanny.
silly Brits (except all babblers)
I know Ruby, God only knows how they refer to butts
I am back for on more clue before I head off to work, so5/14, please?
if the dreaded cu wo** is allowed in babble, I think anything goes
Bums!
found it thanks
that's the Brooklyn Dodgers, "Dem Bums!
Which I know you use for tramps. or arses which is coarser
I've never been quite sure why the Brit term for ass rhymes with the Brit term for mother ΘΘ
I once called an Englishman who was my boss a cu** and he almost lost his marbles. It was, however, appropriate
See, I told you. Once a naughty girl, always a naughty girl. : D
There was a Q word in yesterday's grid which is even worse
I wish I had the energy to be naughtier
as they say in Brooklyn, You go, girl!, ruby
When Molly visits (notice I said "when"), and she ghostwrites my memoirs, she will know the truth
have another grappa
lol
I'll be a good ghost writer Ruby. No tendencies toward the melodramatic from me. : )
Really?
There won't be any need, the truth will out....
'Tis true. Melodrama is only used to embellish the boring. Nothing boring about your story.
shocking and not for faint ea** but def not boring
Today, we received a package from husband's previous wife containing letters, photos (al with nasty words on the backs), etc. She has either gone nuts or was cleaning our drawers. Where are about 100 photos
out*
I shall have to love you and leave you all. Time for lunch here.bbl
Snice remarks about him, his children and grandchildren and their life together. But, weirdly, she even included a love letter from her previous husband.....
snide*
Wow, that's a long time to remain bitter
Am I the ony one to find that strange?
No Ruby, I find it very strange, and sad.
I THINK THAT IT IS VERY STRANGE
I think she has no life
sorry for shouting there
No life and carries a lot of anger around with her.
It was perfectly emphatic, teach!
help with the 8 please
husband wouldn't look at the stuff, but I found it interesting, many photos I had never seen
me8...past tense of a word that means sponsor or guide
Photographs tell the story of our past. I always find them interesting.
Molly, notice, I am trying to capitalize and punctuate correctly, just for you
I made the mistake of throwing away all of my photos of old boyfriends and their letters when I married Burt.
??
And now, lie down and newspaper
Bye folks
enjoy, ruby
*woof*
or, even, lie-down
thnx molly
NBT and NBS - time for breakfast and then off to play music
Good morning, Babblers!

49 to go and totally stuck - back to work anyway
Holinshed's Chronicles, published in 1557, described English sweating sickness as "so sharp and deadly that the lyke was never hearde of to any manne’s remembrance before that tyme." This was written by men whose grandfathers saw the Black Death. The disease began abruptly with fever, extreme aches in the neck, shoulders, and extremities, and abdominal pain with vomiting. Intense chills were followed by a hot phase involving sweating so profuse that the disease soon became known as, simply, “the Sweat." Death came swiftly after profound weakness and agonizing shortness of breath culminated with chest pain, rapid pulse, and cardiac palpitations.
Nothing like a cheery bit of trivia to perk up the grid.
4th column bottom E?
Molly are you still here? I thought up the limerick you requested while I was swimming.
I didn't request a limerick.
Yes, you wanted a naughtier one for Jaxx. It's not very naughty but more so than the others--shall I print it?

we are both fine. Just finished the full house spring cleaning and have earned a break. classes are also over for the day and I am enjoying thi9s law class.
wow, you both indeed deserve a break
is it an interest course? or something you're looking at as career change
was just reading your profile - love that poem, first line was one my father use to quote - twas very good advice
also the Feb. 10th message - I agree - things are usually typed hurriedly
and the message is still there
in spite of grammar, etc
going back to school was the best thing i ever did , flosey
good for you, not easy at all
I have done 30 years in the patroleum business at at this time in my life I was looking for a change
petroleum
hope you find one that will take you on to dottage

my going back for these course basically allows me university access.

hello everyone :)
hi Nan
howdy, cybernan
and i know you understand my typonese:))
hello nan
I am already on the way there, flosey! Mind is so full of court cases, i can pull 100% on my papers, but forget how to tie my shes! lol
shoes
there, you see, I read it as you meant it!!
:)
my son was a bit dislexic, he spelled phonetically - still does and in spite of that, holds a very good position
i have a tad of it, and often transpose letters. My mind will, on occasion try to run faster than my fingers or pen will allow
I think that is a lot of it - impatience perhaps
Whew..hello babbleworld! Been off for awhile, first for trip on Memorial Day weekend and then buried in studying for Pediatric Advanced Life Support...passed! Now back to my regular life!
it is, I think, that our thoughts are like a storm in our heads. I often have to slow down and get them all in a straight line before i can march them out onto the page
howdy, jilly
congrats Jillyjill
yaa for jilly!!
Stressful after not having had it for 20 years...whatcha know...a 56 year old can remember things!
a bit of maturity helps
lol, jilly. Us 50-somethings can rock the world. I have the 20-25 year-olds in my class giving me the evil eye because i am busting the grading curge
so often, when we're younger, some of the things we have to learn don't have the meaning that we learn later to appreciate
was 33 years between schooling for me before this
Still had stomach cramps during written test and Mega Code
you are quite right, flosey
LOL...or like my motivation...do I want extra hours available in the Recovery Room?
my GPA was 4.0 this morning , but i nudged it up from 97 to 98% with todays paper;)
I find vodka helps, jilly:)

whatever it takes
it is all a matter of splitting hairs now;)

Okay, better term would be "not responding" crossy

and now it is time for Crossy's tidbit of the day!!
Turtles can breathe through their butts! It's what is called "cloacal breathing". This is when the turtle draws water in through it's cloaca (i.e it's butt - the vent in its tail through which waste passes and that is also used as the reproductive passage). Gas exchange takes place and oxygen in the water is extracted and absorbed directly into the bloodstream through the lining the cloaca, instead of through the usual lung route, and this process allows the turtle to stay under water for longer than it could do otherwise. :)
snet
and a happy snet to you as well:)
i am done!
Good for you Pen. It's kind of a ghost town here today.

hi everyone -- back for the last 26
Hello Nan, how are you today?
good thanks -- saw the orthopedic surgeon on Friday, so on the waiting list to have my knees done now. Good news that he thinks I'll only need a partial replacement in each knee.
Hello all just starting. Knees can be such a problem! Glad you are getting yours refurbished.
me too, s-mere -- haven't been able to do any big trips for over 2 years now.
first se 6/24, please?
May I please have a clue for er6-30? Thanks
We've been sticking around home because we have a puppy and don't want to leave him at a kennel.
ty molly....hi nan....

I think that is what we are thinking of, nan. Soon that will be possible!

Congrats nan!!
I would like to see more of the British Isles.
well done, nan
Congrats, nan!!!!

Thanks nan for the er6 clue.....still trying to figure it out.

ty for the e clue, Molly.
Aha, pardon my confusion. I always think Ruby has a new dog too when she refers to her "baby dog".
Thanks much, Molly.
on my way -- good talking to all of you - back at the flip :)

Bye nan.

Sure it is. It's the Latin version of the Torah. : D
That's what I thought but Enable disagreed
May I please have a clue for any 'ea' words? Thanks
Anxious to see or do, Peach. One regular, one British spelling, and their plurals.
Also, what you hear with, and the past tense of that.
Thanks so much, Molly

But think about it, not a bad gig being Peri. You always get the words you ask about seconds after asking, you are often in the grid, and permanent absolution from the PB.
yes, *sigh*....
I don't know which icon you are seeing. I don't understand why some people have issues with icons here. Refresh and/or Reload while in the profile box works for most people.
i did that, but the one that appears is about narcissists....
that's not the one i see here....
Get Over YOurself is the icon I see for Molly
I am of no help then. Refreshing the page always works for me.
it looks like a screaming/crying person?
i think the one i see here was the previous one...

Okay, well the kitty is gently pet and dinner is being made. All is well.

pray you never have to give cpr to your turtle...

NBT, NBS for Crossy:)
Hi there welki!! welcome back HH
hey harry, did the house sell?
hello and belated happy birthday, jilly
it's off the market welki - we've got tenants moving in for short term
sometimes, it's best to do that and list again in a few months
oh, and maybe these are the tenants who'll decide to purchase, right?
thanks welki...but mine was in April, and Jillibus' in May
with any luck
oops - happy birthday, everyone!
ROFL
lol, why ty, welki, mine was in May as well
early may that is, still in it for a few days
lots of candles on this babble birthday cake - hell, my cake alone could burn the place down
Mind is so full of case studies, I am lucky to know what month it is from day to day
what sort of case law, crossy?
public and private, tort, etc. Big historical cases and precident cases
ewwww - dry stuff
moving on to fmalily/divorce stuff tomorrow
that is where the flit really hits the shan
:)
family*
family law is tough stuff, some very, very sad
seeing the kids used as pawns bugs me
you'll read plenty about parental alienation - but that's the tip of the iceberg. family law is a broad study
we are going to the courthouse next week to watch a few criminal cases
jury trials?
yup
we get to sit way in the back and make not a peep
if you want to be the ***shining star*** read R. v W. (D.) - it's all about credibility
Are you studying to be a lawyer crossy?
no, jilly. Just a one course thing for me. Purely for interest alone
It boadens my ideas as a writer.
broadens
we have done Anderson v. R.W Grace and Hinkley v. PG&E. they were interesting
made for a nice paper
ahhh
i think i'll go broaden my hips with a little rice pudding - later, folks
tc, welki
bye welki
there were others, but it is a 15 week course crammed into 6 weeks/5 days a week/ 7 hours a day and things become a blur sometimes.
This teacher loves to see use work against the clock
but, like anything in life, it is an experience:)
ah snack time...
mmm, what do we have for snackies?
DONE

hi all

Heya jmc
hi torgi long time no see (except for all your support of my work!)
I appreciate how faithfully you retweet my stuff
we have had a success in stopping the IRS from their ill advised plan about the (c)(4) organizations. An abundance of ideas all around but so few targeting the actual problem.
I try to do what I can for good causes. I wish I could do more monetarily ..
I saw the IRS story .. That's good ..
How about I take all these miles I racked up for flying to China and come to San Diego and SF and you have a house party for me
oh good. . . twittter and facebook are blocked in China so I have been somewhat cut off. . .
but they haven't blocked babbleland!!!!
I remember using babble to get a message to my daughter when I was there ..
hi all!
babbleland is a great resource
hi uu
hi jmc! Still in China?
Heya uu
yep until Sunday
cool! It's on my list of places I'd love to visit.
hi torg!
now i am in Shanghai. . . left my friends in Beijing so being intrepid and doing things on my own. . . a first
it has been very interesting the mix of the CCP and capitalism and the love/hate of the US
must be fascinating, jmc!
turns out there is a babbler in Hong Kong. . . wish I had known I would have made a side trip there for a meet up
oh yes, I remember that! I forget her name though.
today I caught a cab all by myself (braver than is sounds since cab drivers speak no english) and went to what turned out to be an industrial area and bought myself silk (after getting a lecture on the process--interesting)
Dianne. . . I talked with her last night when I was trying to convince myself to wander the streets last night. . . she is very sweet. . . .
nice! I've spent a bit of time (a day or two) on my own in Japan, probably the language issues are similar. It was weird being totally illiterate.
yes. . .at least when the letters are the same i can usually pick out words. . . i am working on the characters though and know a few. . .
I learned the one for train station :-)
I should tell you my Chinese cab driver story sometime from when I first went there years ago .. It's a bit long to relate here ..
if I could read Chinese I could get a good paying job here in Shanghai with my room and board covered.
do you have my email? surely you must. . . my "name" here at gmail works
i have learned just to close my eyes when i anticipate something bad and then it doesn't happen. . . so far *knocks on wood*
I'll commit it to pixels sometime soon and send it .. Short version: I thought I was going to die, but they turned out to be very nice ..
haha yes i know that feeling. . . pretty much every cab ride and some of them worse than others. . .
i will look forward to it torgi
help with the ar6 before the fire starter please
