Been to them all except Ireland and Scotland!
I have a lot of family there.. it might be interesting to go.

It would be a wonderful experience to visit with local family -- get to see so much more.
My brother has gone many times to greece
Well, when you get to your late 70's, these are called SKI vacations - SPend the Kids' Inheritence!

Yes I actually got round to making the bread. I've always used a packet mix before and this is the 1st time I've done it with flour, yeast etc. It's a little on the "heavy" side, but it's tastes amazing. I shall put some in the post for you all lol

must buy Rob a gel or cream on Tuesday. He wants to go canoeing on Friday.
is it any better at all Sprite
yes, it is improving, pugs
thats good!
lovely, haven't done much but always loved it - we use to go to the mouth of the Rouge River and rent a canoe - we weren't really allowed to because of an undertow where the river met the lake but we were usually in a group of 5 or 6
my love is an avid canoeist, loves to go out and canoe and camp.
do you enjoy it too, sprit?
sprite?
I love it, but can't go anymore because of my handicaps.
aw, that's frustrating
yeah it is, but I still enjoy Rob's enthusiasm.
Flosey, interesting icon and story on it and love the quote too
oh indeed! Beautiful carving.
thanks pugs, we met the young carver the summer before, when he was down doing some carving for a celebration in Victoria. Actually the picture is distorted, the carving is 30 x 40 inches
30W x 40H
kind of reminds me of my zodiac sign, the pisces-:)
fireflies. Swift and sweet today.
congrats Sprite
wtg sprite
congrats Sprite
babble acting up again here
oh, btw pugs, about the Paint: it probably says somewhere at the bottom: .bmp (bitmap) with a little arrow next to it. If you click that arrow, you get the other options, including the .jpg or .jpeg one.

Could any kind soul give me a clue for the CA 6/21?
yeah, crossy. next august is 4 years since i quit the fags. and i feel sooo good about it.
pain, day after day can do horrible things to a person. Just a respite from the pain itself can have beneficial healing powers
Mrs and i quit in 2002:)
soodle, scottish word meaning wise. ca + double consonant + 2 vowels
soodle in the north they say she's a ca.... lass
You diamond, Rose. Thank you !
And Foffle
i know that word with a y on the end
me too - normally it is
np's soodle
{{soodle}}
and everybody elsde!
now that is very weird...as all my reading i have read the word with the 2 vowel ending, not the sometimes vowel.
((((Rubes)))) And (((everyone else)))
oh, oh, oh, ruby!!! {{hugs}} and kisses my dear
{{crossy}} is it Tuesday yet?
ar6 is used a lot here
*explodes with laughter* i don't think it's tuesday anywhere yet, ruby....unless i have slept for 3 days...

it is almost the season for crossys famous long island iced tea:)

you should share the recipe, we could all make it at the same time and try to d the grid :)
that's funny, I asked the bartender about it and he said it's gone out of fashion here in favor of |Mojitos
nice, crossy. all the 8's and the 9...but also nice for your long island iced tea. care to send me the recipe?
I used to drink LI iced tea when I went dancing in salsa clubs in miami

'fraid not. (made with tofu)
hmmm, okay, will eat anything with choklit...how about soy ice-cream?
hello and lots of xxx, g'day une.
never tried it, granny
hey, rose :-)
it is sent , Rose
which tastes better ... the bowl or the peaches?
gm, everyone! tadone and finito!! ty for the clues.
I usually don't tell anyone it has tofu, until after they taste it.
BR LOL :-)
actually, mixi, it's not too bad. youngest child was lactose intolerant. it's quite nice.
good job Ldb
I have a soy allergy
WTG LBDAWGER!!~!~
congrats dawg!!!
So I put up with a little lactose intolerance :)
soy alllergies are more known now suki ?
and thanx crossy
soy allergy always makes me think of Luke on Modern Family :-)
ty, fun little grid except for that pl7! that one had me spinning, then Rose clued it and tada!
yaaa for lbd!
For some reason though, I'm more sensitive to drinking soy than say having it in a burger.
must be something in the enzymes, Sukee.
thats interesting Sukee - so you can eat the soy but not drink it?
nice, ibd, glad i was helpful.
But, I try not to eat a lot of it.
can you eat plain tofu? or edamame?
Supposedly if you have thyroid problems like I do it is not good to have a lot anyway.
Rose, you are always helpful! ♥
is the el 9 related to the 7 just before?
I have had tofu in miso soup.
yes, think of a group who does the 7
al
yes, enomis -- add Mr. Gore :-)
awww, ibdawger...my head has just swollen to a proportion that means we have to call in a builder to widen our doors...* giggle*
I should say I haven't been tested. But when I tried soy milk once it felt like my tongue swelled up and I felt lousy. Since then I have avoided a lot of soy.
Ah, got it thanls - I was looking for a way to plural it
So, it might be more a sensitivity than an allergy.
lol, Rose. I can't imagine that. You're just a helpful person.
thanks not thanls - new keyboard!
:-D
sukee, although i have a multi-nodal goitre, the jury is still out on the tofu.
What a difference a day makes, words just jumped out at me yesterday.
i have finally found a doctor who understands fibromyalgia..waiting for an appointment...am so looking forward to getting my life back...lol
I get to go for an MRI this afternoon.
clue for oc?
I have muscular myopathy and started seeing a new specialist. He is sending me for all sorts of tests.
oh, sukee?? do i know about this??
8 singers
oc4, os + p**t, not present
ty
Don't think so granny.
didn't know the oc4 Granny. New word for me
ty rose:)
coia
okay, sukee. my new specialist specialises in chronic pain control. when we met up at work last week, he said to me...how long have you had fibromyalgia? i have found a doctor who understands what my body is doing to me. the relief is enormous.
good for you granny.
fybro seems to be a misunderstood illness, many doctors don't diagnose it properly
g'day sue. how nice to see you!!
you're lucky to have found a good one
i felt the same way when i was told i have ADHD. It made so much sense. I wasnt stupid and it wasnt my fault for having a hard time learning
nice to see everyone
i was diagnosed about 10 years ago, but the doctor didn't think it was a debilitating disorder. fat lot he knows.
Two of my kids and my husband have ADHD I know ow you felt sue
my sister has it and it is draining
we went through hell with our son and the school system with his ADHD.
awww, sue. that's a tough one to live with, hun. may i ask how old you are?
she is on a new med that she says is great. As soon i i find out the name i will let you know
Gladly, on the 25th i will be 50
Hello, everyone!
Is the co 8/50 related to the 7/36?
yaa for sue!! Crossy turned the big 5-0 just last month
((mimi))
the sense of relief that not only was i not trying, but that it was not a fair fight to begin with was amazing.
((crossy))
I much rather have big birthdays then not
Good to see all you youngsters!
yes they are young!
not really, sukee. add the first letter of *etter to the co7, before the final letter
clue for ar6?
g'day mimi
ar6. ar + ***e, not nasty + first vowel
Rose...good to see you.
ty
Still waiting for my arms to get better. :(
Ah, got it. TY
yeah, mimi. i splashed out, and decided today was to be a pain-free day. took extra pain meds...and i feel goood
ty granny
clue the co7 plz
awww, mimi. you poor darling.
what's wrong with your arms, Mimi?
I'm just taking Aleve and extra magnesium. It would have been better if I hadn't re-injured installing new computer.
co7, co4, a food grain + frozen water with the letter before m in the middle
Tripped over a cat and fell 2 weeks ago. Injured left shoulder and right elbow. Couldn't really use either arm much for 3 days. Nothing broken, though.
did a doc look at you?
you probably hyper-extended a few things :(
Then a few days later another cat spilled a tumbler of sugared iced tea into my laptop....it died. But was able to salvage hard drive and had it transferred into this new one. But Windows 8 requires quite a learning curve.
not difficult to do at our age, crossy.
ty granny
granny that gave me a co8
I do not care for Windows 8:(
np's sue
got the 7
No doctor...they'd just tell me to rest and let it heal. I thought it was a muscle thing but the shoulder still isn't much better so may be a rotator cuff thing. Might have to break down and see a dr.
clue for ca6?
*giggle* sorry sue, take the extra letter out for the co7
Everyone tells me that once I get used to Win8 that I'll really like it....I am not convinced.
mimi, have you tried slinging your arm?
ca6, scottish word for wise. ca + double consonant + two vowels
T words are gone :)
The doc I transcribe is on vacation now until the 19th so will be doing tutorials and trying to really learn it.
whoot, sukee, well done
ty granny
i believe microsoft screws up every other OS they put out. Vista, ME, 8 just wait until the next OS is released
No, I haven't, sue...thought about it, though. I still can't raise my left arm higher than mid chest level.
Typing for long periods as I must also hurts.
ugh, mimi. you poor love. it definitely sounds like a rotator cuff.
I went from Win 98SE, to Win XP then right to Win 7. I was lucky to miss all the dud os'es
rns
hmmm, 2 weeks since you fell, mimi. i am thinking not only a rotator cuff tear, but perhaps a spur. and that requires surgical intervention. have you had an ultrasound recently?
I didn't have time to shop around since I needed to work immediately. Still, with the data transfer (had to leave it overnight) and other complications, I didn't get functional until Thurs. I was 4 days behind on regular work and had to enter the 75 reports that were in the old drive as well. Just glad I didn't lose those.
yes, it is a good thing the data was saved
have a great day/evening/night everyone! I'm off for brekkies and laundry.
The place I bought the new one didn't even have any to sell with Win7 anymore....stupid. Lots of people want Win7....I miss it.
enjoy, ibdawger. again, it was lovely to see you.
you should get a small , external USB back-up storage drive. The are inexpensive now and you can get a lot of storage for under 70 dollars
People have been asking me if those cats are still alive! The trip was definitely the cat's fault but the iced tea was actually my fault...know better than to have liquid near electronics.
could I have a clue for yje in5?
always a pleasure to be in your company, Rose and everyone else too! ttfn POOF
Okay, 12 left. Time for breakfast.
the! that keyboard and I don't agree
sukee, in5/10...in + rent out
The lady I work for uses Dropbox for lots of things. I'm also considering an online backup.
biab
This computer is a desktop which I do prefer. I got a monitor that is a bit too large, though....23".
Tons of power and memory, which is good.

Be slow in choosing a friend but slower in changing him

yw
damn
I need a clue for the second el 7/32, please
sounds llike a superhero with lots of voltage:))
same base 5, annie but add start of a flower used for romance
crossy, isnt that the first el 7 ?
no
that is the second
thanks, kje, I thought I had tried that...how SF?
the first one has to do with votiong
voting
got it crossy, thanks
:)
kje, are they thinking of straightening Lombard Street?
what???
lol, doing that is kind of like cutting off the top of MT. Everest because it obstructs the view...
They better not. I read that somewhere.
they are thinking of block it off on weekends and holidays annie
I loved going down that street and the first time I went down Filbert St. I couldnt believe we didnt fall off.
Hi ruru, thanks for clearing that up.
I do know that residents there get tired of the tourists, as would I
I love taking flat landers over the edge on Broadway and Divisidero .. they always scream
kje, was just going to say the same
they have talked about a toll for nonresidents on the street - would hit the tourists, no one else goes down it
or broadway and filmore - looks llike you are driving into air
we live in tourst country and are up to our armpits in citiots all the time:( it is a kiss/curse sort of thing.
Um.. kje.. people who bought a house on LOMBARD street KNEW it was a tourist attraction when they bought it
I love San Francisco
it's the same thing with the Telegraph Hill people..
me too annie.. so glad it's big enough for Texans too :D
still doesn't mean it's not annoying!
hehe, our two auto wrecking yards must have the largest collection of BMW and mercedes hood ornaments north of Toronto:)
*breaks out annoying list and adds to it*
it was closed to traffic for awhile - prob wasn't as bad when people walked it
most of the tourists don't walk it.. only the Japanese do
it's like trying to cross the GGB on a holiday weekend. The traffic gets snarled bc of the tourists stopping or slowing on the bridge to take pictures... get out and walk
Muir Woods took my breath away.
*checks to see which side of bed kje got out of today*
That is what I call trees.
Muir woods is beautiful
get all the tourists to do road work as a prerequisite for visiting kje:))
they can fill potholes
they are gorgeous, annie - so are the sequoias in Sequoia national park if you ever can get up that way - worth a detour
I love the park near Patrick's point.. where you walk down through the redwoods to the beach.. Prarie Lands or something
I better jump in the shower.. I'm meeting friends for brunch in the City.. later taters
Good morning, Babblers!
have fun, ru
morning, Judi
howdy, Judi
morning all- and rats- i was too busy to play the big grid yesterday and today we get a small one lol
Feast or famine, Wolvie. The story of our lives.
:-)
Trying to babble while playing with the cat. Multi-tasking.
Little wanker is trying to go for my coffee cup now.
sounds fun :-)
She's a doll. I just can't ignore her.
i hear you on that. they can be a ball of fun.
i better play the lottery today- found the 9 on my own lol
Not seeing how there can be 8 and nine letter words in this thing.
i dont have an 8 yet :-)
Oooh. I just found one of the 8's. Pe8.
Got the niner too!
ty- will look for the pe :-)
well that was easy- given the 9 lol- should have seen that
wish i ould see the other 8
i wish i could too lol- morning TO
Me too, TO. Hiya!
morning wolvie and all
well- i am off outside- to nice to sit by computer- back later :-)
See ya, Wolvie!
The other 8 is Co8, if anyone is interested.
I should get off my butt and go to the farmers market. I'm hoping for some strawberries. They didn't have any local ones last week.
mm, the military rank wont work...
Hello babble world!
hi jilly
It's an odd one, To. Kind of a cross between a cob vegetable and a frozen summer treat on a stick.
i have a 7 that is a drapery that sounds similar.
Yep.
got it ty
I suppose another clue could be "calcification on the cob".
hmm, boken toe does not hurt as much but still swollen and vey colorful
Good clue Judi : D
the bottom is swollen so walking is not pleasant.
You are lucky TO. I must have broken mine along a nerve because it hurt like a bitch for weeks. And I have an extremely high tolerance for pain.
*passes ice to TO's toe*
*Passes strong alcoholic beverage to TO*
ty both!
well, molly, i have mnot been doing much. big toe is necessary for balance, and mine is not good anyway
I need a clue for the el7 and the pl7. Anyone? Anyone?
i think i will go do some haedge trimming. later, all
eln5 / 7 / 9
el7 one of those in the el 8 college
Have those. There is another el7.
El7/32.
ah, i have neither then
Just found it. Just flip flop the last two letters of the other el7.
the el7 sounds like he should be a character on the x-men ... but it's the same base as the other el 7
ty
moe than one guitar pick
El7...Storm's secret lover
= pl7
things one used to pick the strings of a stringed instrument
padon the grammatical errors
... p plus the feminine form of the el7 minus the first e
Huh??
... take the el 7 but replace the masculine ending with a feminine ending and replace the initial e with a p
Due to the fact that I have several guitar playing friends, I have a plethora of pl7 in my purse. I seem to be their dumping ground. : D
Dose, that clue gave me the spins
Crikey. Finally got it.
Never heard that term before. Non-musical as I am.
I was going to clue it with the O'Neill play, Mourning Becomes...but figured that would go over like a lead balloon.
*Hands Judi a tambourine*
Musicians refer to tambourines as "the instrument for the non-musical" : D
... I was going to try eugene O'Neill thought that "mourning became her" but replace the first e with a p but I thought that might be too obscure
Cat running laps around the house. Must go play before she explodes or something.
And people say cats are the "no work" pet
Only said by people without cats...
Shriner hat in the grid, everyone swish your tassel around
From what I read here, cats are pretty high maintenance.
Well, one good thing is that, with an automatic litter box, auto feeder and autowaterer, can leave them for several days.
And each set of cats we have had had different 'issues'...current ones are climbers; like the high spots
<----!!FW!!
and.... *poof*
RAFA JUST DEFEATED NOVAK TO WIN THE FRENCH OPEN FOR THE 9TH time!!!!! Woohoo!!

What I like about him is that he's such a modest talented man.
it is an extention to the el's
indeed -- a man of great character
Now to the grid
I think inport should be a word -- you can inport and outport all sorts of things: mouse, monitor, e-reader, key board, camera, flash drive .....
Too techno

I have muscle myopathy and he wants a true diagnosis.
Best to be thorough
They said to take a DVD with you, I am bringing Breakfast Tiffany's :) It should block out the noise a bit. I already have a headache.
Breakfast at Tiffanys
Hoping they don't find anything :)
That machine does clunk a bit. Take a painkiller before you go. It will have helped the headache by the time you go into the machine
I did just take a couple of painkillers
So do I. let's look on the bright side, eh?
There, you are ahead of me
It shouldn't take long and I'm looking forward to having dinner at Tim Hortons in the hospital or Subway :)
I have two starving grandchildren downstairs so I must go and feed them. I must admit they look starving!

Good luck for later. I have my fingers crossed for you. bbl

Found it :)

Also another name for a guitar pick

There is a play Mourning Becomes ........
phew. nbt finally. nbs, and 2/3 of the way home. gotta go do carpool

We decided earlier that the O'Neill play would go over like a lead balloon
Sorry :)
Funny, it's the first think I thought of when I found it
is there another clue please?
Another name for a pick
pl + last three of a religious cult, se4 + first two of wet precipitation
I now just need sl 7/32 to get fireworks
SA.... typing is not my best today
It is a word that means stringed instrument picks Nan, but not many people have ever heard of it.

ah, so he finished and left I presume, he had shown interest in this carving
dunno . . . it was hours ago . . .
Flosey, that is a beautiful carving and you are so lucky it was made from one of your trees. What a treasure.

I am in awe of people who can carve wood in such an intricate and creative fashion.

i swore it just hissed at me when i looked away for a second...
yaaa for mom!
congrats Mom23 :-)
interesting; I used AdBlock Plus plug-in for chrome browser and it seems that the average web site contains 40-50 pop-up ,scrolling or banner ads. Getting worse than tv commercials!
God help the people still using Internet Exploder. That is an ad pop-up nightmare.
whenever i run CCleaner i have to reset the thing and am shoked again at how bad it has gotten
people still use I.E ???!
I used it once... to load chrome;)
FW!! back to outdoor chores :-)
yaa for wolvie!
It has gotten a little hot and humid here. I planned my day accordingly and got my outdoor things done this morning, when it was cooler.

hi all
30 to go here, and I'm big time stuck
i am pecking away with 40 to go
today is the kind of day when wife and kids are urging for a/c and I'm fighting to wait until evening to open the windows
nice day here today and 18c and partly overcast. no a/c needed yet
? No AC on but windows are closed?
sounds beautiful. we've had cool weather until a few days ago
saclet seems like it should be some kind of biological word
27. listing
pe6/21 have the gas one
pe6 sounds like what you "put on" to make tea
Hi folks
pl 7, pls
We have ceiling fans on and it's cool enough
nm
Hi Bich. I think I misunderstood Harry's comment "wait until evening to open windows" when there is no AC on.
Ok. We haven't needed to use AC yet, but it's getting to be time.
Harry's down by the shore, should be cooler there.

EL 9/60 - name of group that officially votes for president of US
Got it. Thanks.
still looking for clues for the a words...both locations..and pl 7
Very hot. I spent the day out watering my plants. They are wilting.
just back from lunch at a Greek restaurant downtown. The food was very good and I made some new friends.
there's a pl of the ar 6/21. It's a plant
Peri is the new friends magnet these days. : D
looking for the ar6/21
sitting in the house will get me nowhere
I am looking for someone to go to the beach with me.
AR 6 - healing herb
ah, that plant, ty
thanks wv!
Good Lord, I never would have tried that clue. I had no idea there were herbalists here.
help with the S pl. I have sa5 and sa4
I am very interested in medicinal herbs
and edible plants
I am too Peri, and I grow a lot of them. But i have never heard of that one.
just brought the homeopathic of that plant to my friend for her ankle surgery..
I have heard of it but never used it
sa7...ends like frozen treat on a stick
great homeopathic for injuries, bruises, pain in muscles, bones etc
I had ice cream at Bassetts in the Reading Terminal Market today too. pistachio.
thanks molly was trying to use those letters
I have an sa5 that ends like that but looking for the sa7
I made strawberry sorbet today. Wow, is it good.
that sounds delicious, Molls.
Frozen treat I mentioned starts with pop
did you use your nutribullet?
Have the SA 7, PL 7, EL 7, CO 7 and AR 7 - which 7 am i missing?
Two EL's
I don't see the sa7.
Yes Peri, I use the Nutribullet for so many things I make.
sa7...first three of grainy stuff on the beach + last three of frozen treat on a stick that starts with pop
Sorry, last 4 of that frozen treat
got the sa7 ty
I still do not have a nutribullet.
21 left but going to read for a while. bbl
do both el 7 have to do with voting?
not seeing pl 7 nor co 7
pl7 p + the *****ic company + first vowel
co7 is an architectural detail on a building
begins like ****er of fifth and main
thanks, Harry!
not getting the pl though...
do you know the oneill play "mourning becomes ******"?
Apparently, LaTex got un-stuck : P
I'm using the list :P
but got these before the list heh
Oh...good luck with that clue. It crashed and burned several times today.
and taking a break from folding the ($#*&$ laundry
k. got it
Dear God, with all those kids, you must have a pile of laundry every half day.
we do it all on sunday
how about the corner o?
oc4/5
ah.. had missed that. thanks
Wow, Sunday must blow out the laundry room.
I thank heavens for automated laundry...I'd hate to be carrying this stuff to the Charles river every week
and beating it on a rock.
especially in the winter :)
back later!
Amen to that Harry, and I do far less laundry than you do.
how many kids, harry?
can you beat kids on rocks back where you live Harry?
oh kid's clothes.. sorry
: D All joking aside, washing clothes used to be a bitch before the electric washer and dryer came into play. I am grateful those two machines every time I use them.
And hi, Ru. xx
I remember helping my Grandma hang clothes on the clothes line to dry.. HI Molly xxxxx
<------ just back from the riverbank. Washboard tucked under my arm, and wipinng sweat from the Soodlebrow.
Just to date myself, I can recall the lady next door being given the new washing machine which had been filled with cashmere sweaters by her husband for her wedding anniversary. Did she say thank you? No, she complained because bringing it in had marked her clean kitchen floor.
maybe that would have saved my mom some trouble she could have put the clothes on me and beat us both and saved energy
Ha ha, Ru. Hey Jaxx:-).
I hate to say this but we still use the clothesline that is in the garden
Hi, soodle,ru and molly
hi soodle xxxxxxx
hi jaxxxxxxxxxx
Oh I love clothes which were dried on the clothes line. They are so much fresher. (God above! When did I start start sounding like a feckin' housewife)
Since electricity has got so expensive in the UK, we use the line instead of the Tumble dryer to save money. I must admit that this hasn't been possible yet this year.
It's OK until this year's brood of baby birds arrive all at once. Then it gets messy
I do laundry like everyone else.. I don't know what the big deal is.. you put the clothes in .. you add soap and you press a button.. big deal
mrs. ru would complain about laundry incessantly. I offered to take over..but NOOOOOOOOO
I have just watched 'Dirty Dancing' with my 17yr old grand-daughter. It brought back my youth but what I wasn't expecting was my 'thinks she's grown up' young lady to get up before the end as she dislikes the soppy bits. She went all coy when asked how does she cope with soppy bits with her 22 year-old boyfriend! She made a quick getaway at this point.
I love "Soodlebrow" : D You can't "use the line" here in these United States. Most places have home owners regulations that prohibit clothes lines. They are said to look tacky.
Naughty grandma! lol
17 and 22.. not a good combo
those are the same home owners regulations that allow those cheesey concrete squirrels and rabbits
Yes they are. Sad but true.
you have pink flamingos in yards in the area molly :D
he says he wants to woo her! They have been together for over 6 months and he still says things like he likes to sit and watch her talk - aah. I have checked up on him as in a small town every knows everyone else. My best friend knows the family and says he can be trusted. But - he is a man
He can be trusted AFTER she's 18 :D
Seriously, 17 and 22 bodes of not nice things.
It is 16 here so it is legal.
where's that Arkansas Jaxx?
UK
Remember Ru, in that part of the world, they marry their cousins.
really.. wow
molly, I know, don't think I don't have misgivings
is that where the big ears come from?
Only first cousins.
That's gnomes, ru
uh huh
well.. hate to be a party pooper.. but I gotta go beat the laundry :D
Bye Molly xxxxxxx
In and around this wonderful town of ours there are young women willing to sleep with anything in or out of trousers. They swap partners and then they move on to the next man. The result is that often the children don't know they are related. The problems will come later!
Bye, ru. happy laundering
soodle, did you cope Ok last night?
I did, Jazz, thanks. Even keel restored. (I think)
*Puts delicate sparkly blankets around Soodle*
Hi all! Clue for the pl7 please?
hello forward - I'm not ignoring you, I just have no idea
Plural of a guitar pick ..
Here we go again : D
Ty torgone! Got it
:P
I'm amazed. The percentage of people who know that word means guitar pick is minimal.
I googled it Molly. :) never would have gotten it!
Okay, that makes sense. The percentage of people who actually do a Google search on a clue they don't understand here is just as minimal. Generally the response is. HUH?
I try to give clues that can be googled. If people can't be bothered to do that, too bad.
Touché Tor. : )
I'm stuck on the ar5,6, and 7
Found the ar5
i'm looking, but no luck here either, faith
Not an easy grid!
can you give a clue for the ar 5? please
Ar5: ar + first 3 letters of a phone
well, I just got it but don't have the 6 or 7 tyvm
is the 6/7 before or after that?
before which makes it even harder to find
6/7 is before the 5
ar6...the last three letters of a farm building + the second, third and fourth of a seven year locust
Ty Molly!
Last word! Anyone have a clue for the fe5?
Think of the character Hannibal Le**** and change the first letter to F
fe5 often spelt with foe at start. a pong!
starts like the fe6 .
oh right scouser, my clue has an extra C in it
Good clue Bugs. I didn't understand the next one.
Thx! Finally got it.
pong means a terrible stink to the English Molly
Thanks Bugs, I have little understanding of Brit speak.
now I know this word means that too but pong is much for fun to say
I hadn't realised that pong only belongs this side of "the pond". sorry.
my first husband's father came from Leicester and it was a word I learned from his family, scouser. I loved the feel of it in my mouth
Pong has a certain Ping to it

oh. .hi peri whadja eat?
try co + female river in Spanish naches
I cook some pretty mean greek food myself actually
or co + oxygen backwards?
I had a platter with hummus, stuffed grape leaves, pita, some kind of cheese which was delish and I don't remember what else.
feta
I tasted someone else's baklava. that was good too.
it's a goat cheese
Thanks Ru. Got it!
great NG.. good going
I don't think it was feta.
no?
the restaurant was crowded, must be a popular place to eat. I had never been there before.
I will have to check the menu online to find out the cheese.
was it kasseri cheese
I don't know, bbs will check
ok
I only know three or four greek cheeses
Bets it was kasseri or Kalathaki
maybe one of those. I cannot get to the menu.
there was falafel too.
I was able to see a menu yesterday. oh well.
there's one that begins with a G from Crete.. but I can't remember its name
kasseri is the most common with feta
Graviera - I think
that's it Dianne.. that's it
ok I found the menu on line. there was also roased cauliflower, spicy tomato salad, black olives and labneh. is that a cheese or something else. it was white.
I grew up on those cheeses.. you'd think I'd remember
ah, labneh is a type of cream cheese. it was really good.
never heard of it peri.. but really glad you liked the food
:)
better jump in the shower before the flip.. bb in a bit.. squeaky clean
I am trying to hang in here til the flip
