that is the carver with it, done about 18 years ago and he has become quite well known

no, he stayed with us while he carved it - was interesting to see it created from a slab of cedar - can't remember how long it took, I think a couple of weeks
His work is pretty pricey too. I found a carved ladle for $3,475 Canadian.
we met him when he was recently out of school and prices were much less, I think we paid $2000.
I like the look of his work. He is talented that is for sure.
