it was a side-ways lunge, in the pool. it bends the knee, and when you lunge in the opposite direction, it gives you a nice stretch out along the whole leg.

she was only 45 at the time. her boys were fully grown, so that was a blessing in one way.

then my friend robyn died of breast cancerabout 5 years ago. so, please....don't let anything happen to your sweet self or sprite.

the girls are living with her sister and her husband. i feel for them, as their youngest had just flown the coop, and they were heaving that sigh of relief which comes when you find yourself alone for the first time in years.
that had to be so hard on them, losing both parnets so close together like that and in their teen years too

am in tears here. 5 years ago i lost my dearest friend to breast cancer. i'm watching a program in which a young woman is trying to decide whether or not to have a bilateral mastectomy. her grandmother and mother have both had breast cancer. the hard part for me, my friend sat in my loungeroom and wept because she didn't want the second course of chemotherapy...and i didn't have the guts to say to her, for goodness sake woman, have it.
Everyone has to make their own choices and chemo doesn't always work. Also, it is quite debilitating. I had two relatives where it was the chemo not the cancer that killed them. You just never know.

no-one has said that to me. maybe now, i can lay this demon to rest. thanx, again.
Please do, she is at peace you should be to.
Rose, don't feel guilty. Your friend made her own decision. Had you told her to go for the chemo, her quality of life would have been impaired and the outcome might well have been the same. There are a lot of ifs and buts there and only the person suffering knows whether they can tolerate any further pain. You listened and I am sure that was more comfort to her.

When I had my garage built almost 20 years ago I could not afford an opener, so, yes, I was doing the manual process all of these years. An electric opener is such a treat!
Our current doors are original to the house - which was built in 1985. Wooden panels. They are rotting. Such a charming look. Eesh.

Unless there has been an uptick in crime in your neighborhood, I wouldn't bother, Scrabbs. They are over-priced and more of a nuisance than anything. I recommend a "Beware of Dog" sign and a good motion-sensing flood light that lights up the driveway/street like the Las Vegas strip.
They do and I deal with them all the time. Workfreudian slp.
And I live in a rural area so the police response time could be 20 min, or even more.
Our City (my employer) just implemented ADP. Major pain in the ass.
Scrabbs - there is also a self-install, wireless security system called "Simply Safe". Google it. They shill it on talk radio and it gets really good consumer reviews.

Scrabbler, if you live in an area where there is no police response for that long, anyone thinking of breaking into your home knows that. I'd go with better locks and a baseball bat.
FYI, Scrabbler: Home alarms are way, way down on the priority list for cops. A 20 minute response time would be stellar. The response time for an alarm in my neighborhood would be about 2-3 hours.
I think I will get more motion-sensor lights. I have two on the garage, I should get them all around the house. Then the wildlife will turn them on.
The best advice to avoid theft from your vehicle is to not leave tempting property - such as purses, electronic devices, EZ Pass transponders, ect. in plain sight. Shut them in your glove box or trunk and lock your vehicle doors.
I imagine response time for police is low priority because so many people accidentally set their systems off on their own.

My purse was in a backpack on the front seat. I usually take it with me when I hike or kayak so I am mad at myself.
A friend of mine has a home security system that is not hooked up to EMT calls. It just goes off if someone opens a window or door. He figures the alarm sound is enough to send the a-holes running. I agree.

i have a pc issue...i had dual homepages set, one of which was msn.. all of a sudden today, it did not work, brought up a tab with strange url. i have gone to MSN and reset it as dual homepage, but the same thing occurs.
TO, do you have spyware and virus protection set up on your computer? It sounds, from what you have said here, like your computer is infected.
well, i have something that runs daily. i will go run it later.
I had the same thing with MSN TO. It happened yesterday and today. Eventually it connected. Maybe its and MSN Problem?
