YAY lickety!
87 words, and I am waiting to play until tomorrow.
Saanich ((hugs))
Thanks lickety. :)
Flip flip hooray!
stid (hugs) Keeping cool?
pretty much -- we were in Ashland earlier this week. Home seems cool in comparison! :-)
It is a little too warm for some of the recently transplanted strawberries, though -- Grant watered while we were gone, but wasn't able to give the daily attention I would have because he is working pretty hard.
how about you?
all is well, my first summer of freedom since the big reno. Basement is so wonderfully cool. Andyour new place must being feeling like real home by now -
nice! I am so happy you are able to enjoy it!
Our home is still cluttered. Being sick for a couple weeks after the end of the school really slowed me down. But I have guests coming this next week and both Tom and Grant have committed to helping get things in better order.
I have two interviews next Thursday, so have to spend a good bit of time prepping for those, too. Will be glad when NEXT weekend comes! LOL
Just got some sad news about a friend. Heading out so I have energy tomorrow to do what I must. Be well, all. *poof*
bye stid
Goodbye stidmama! I will see you tomorrow in the chog.
I'm down to seven words. I will save the rest for later on
Goodnight to my fellow babblers! See you later on today.

good morning all
greetings friends
*hugs pugs* Hello dear friend, how are you today?
love and hugs Sprite---okay and you?
I am fine :) Slept well and the rest has done me good. My cooking yesterday was taxing, but very rewarding.
thats good to hear----what did you cook
I make an ovendish with leek, mushrooms, eggs, goat cheese and pine seeds. And as a dessert a chocolate-y cook and cinnamon ice.
I have not heard of either dishes--sounds good--did the family enjoy it
yes, very much :) I looked up some recipes on the internet, they were new for me as well.
how was work?
we had those people quit that I told you about and that puts me as the only punch press operator there
ouch, that is taxing. So they left? I understood from your mail they'd be around until august.
they were suppose to be and train me for the shipping--so Iam going to have to do a quick lesson on the shipping part as well---My boss did pay me for the holiday, which he didnt have to
good for him. He really values you. As he should!
but not easy on having to learn everything quickly.
yeah I know----and its stressful to being the only one to run those presses to get out rush orders
I sure cant get sick or miss, thats for sure--lol
it sure is. Make sure you don't push yourself too far, pugs. You don't need a burnout on top of everything else. Please remember it is not YOUR problem, but your boss's. You can be part of the solution, but not the whole solution.
FW here. So tired.....blessings y'all.

hi Peach, sorry you are so tired--hope you can rest
Guess I really wanted y'all to know.....LOL
Sprite, something happen to me yesterday and I still dont get what i done wrong
what happened, pugs?
lol peach :) *hugs*
On DS, someone thats been there all the time I have posted that they didnt have enough to get all their meds--was short maybe thirty dollars to get them and I offer to help if they needed it and they said they wanted to report me---I am not getting what I did wrong
doesn't sound like you did anything wrong, if that is all that happened. Only... sweetie, don't go spend your money on everyone who has troubles.
thats all there was to it--but why post you need help and then do that? I dont get it---I know what it is not to have enough and I dont mind helping another person
did you ask for her address or bank account number maybe?
nope
well I would have to see the original words then, maybe I could see what triggered that response.
I will have to send it to you
I should be able to see it on DS. Can you copy the link and send it to me?
their post was for the public not just me
ok, which group and what is the name of the post and poster?
I will have to go back and get it for you--can I send it later
yeah sure, unless you remember her name and the group.
I remember the group but not what topic it was posted under
which group?
Carol and her hubby came to camp last night and we went to a junk sale and there wasent nothing there but junk--lol so we came back and had coffee outside and just talked
loneilness
nice :)
let me go get the imfo for you and I will be right back

Iam going with Carol this morning to help her do a few things

Hello kiddies.
howdy, scrabby. How was the kayak outing yesterday?
Mornin'
Perfect! Beautiful day. Hemlock Lake is gorgeous.
good morning all
Weather's been great
howdy teach
howdy bichon
Hi wv and Bichon
weather has been amazing here as well:)
I leave for the Adirondacks tomorrow morning so today is a busy day of preparation for bunnies, me, and Mom.
very nice indeed:)
We're going to get severe storms for Mon and Tues
we had some of those recently, bichon, with power outages.
The perils of summer. And a Hurricane in early July
I am stuck after finding 17 words.
We're spoiled after those big grids
You are improving in QP, bichon.
Scrabs, did you notice we have complmentary shades of green?
Yes, but I tried the Honeycomb and didn't understand it. I put in words, but I couldn't get them to turn green
Green dog!
HoneyComb is VERY difficult! I find it maddening, so I wing it rather than spending a lot of time and getting frustrated.
Sometimes in QP I find that age is slowing me down in placing the letters
wow- morning all- we are paying dearly for a week or so of good sized grids with these small ones lol
QP?
Quote Puzzler. It's a series of word puzzles. Fun
ok
Hi wolvie and peri
howdy, wolvie,peri
Thurs. we leave for our Sierra Club Grandpart/Grandchild trip at the Clare Tappan Lodge
sounds like fun, bichon
sounds like fun, bichon
sounds like fun, bichon
Triple the fun Annie
:) yes, I guess I really meant it, have a great time
Fun, Bichon. Hi Annie and Bobby
Hi Scrabbs, how is your Mom?
The lodge is at Donner Pass
hi annie and bich :-)
Hi Wolvie
Hi Annie, Wolvie
My Mom is doing ok but does not want me going to the Adirondacks tomorrow. "I want you here." But she lives with my brother and a sister lives nearby as do 2 nephews and a cousin.
Scrabbs, She is surrounded by family. Have a wonderful trip. Mom will be okay.
I know she will be ok. I wish she could tell me to go and have fun.
Go and enjoy yourself, scrabby. She will be fine
separation anxiety, perhaps. Don't feel guilty, you are a wonderful daugher. go, enjoy, you deserve the vacation.
I will call her every morning and evening. I am meeting my youngest sister and we will hike and kayak everyday, as long as the weather cooperates.
scrabbs, you are doing ALL you can. You also need time for yourself. You re keeping in touch twice a day. She is in good hands and will be taken care of by her family. She is a lucky woman in her present circumstances.
I understand her anxiety but am not allowing it to control me. My two Adirondack vacations every summer are SO important to me.
Scrabbs, You are allowing some guilt to enter but that is understandable. That is what mothers do. If your Dad was still with her this wouldnt be happening. I think I am right. I am sure you will not be away for very long and 2 phone calls a day will relieve her anxiety. I feel bad for both of you.
i agree wholeheartedly with Annie :-)
My mother misses my Dad so much.
And now it is time for crossy's tidbit of the day!! Today i have a special tidbit of the day for you. it is a very small( 4 minute) animated short film clip called Sebastian's Voodoo. it is very well done for an amatuer clip. Enjoy. http://tinyurl.com/qy6gssy
Of course, she does. I lost my husband when I was 65 and I still miss him terribly.
Good morning
Interesting, Crossy.
morning sukee
Widows and widowers suffer so much.
Hi sukee
, he was no longer conscious. I have felt very guilty ever since.
What happened to the first part of the story?
Oh crossy, that was so sad...
I went to Patagonia for two weeks with my husband. Even though I was in touch with my daughter through email, she didn't tell me that my father had fallen gravely ill. By the time I got to FL...
Any clue for the ar 5/10?
Annie, are you remarried now?
oh bich- i feel for you- that is awful
ar 5/10 is a heavy curtain
Oh, Bichon.
ar 5- a dbl consonant plural :-)
At least I was with him during the decision to move him to Hospice
Got it, ty both
sorry bichon, was away from keyboard, no, I never remarrried, had no desire to do so. My first husband was a bas***d but my second hubby was a wonderful man in every way and my children loved him very much.
I don't think I would ever remarry
At 52/35 I have had enough of this grid, and I must get the bunnies and house ready for my trip. See you in the morning. Enjoy the day.
ttfn scrabs
have a wonderful trip and enjoy
bye scrabbs
I know you will have fun
I cant decide where to go to The Brkly Museum or the Bklyn Botanic Garden. I think the BBG will win, it is such a lovely day. In fact, I could do both if I have the stamina for it.

Okay, nothing is coming, got 7 left. I'll tray again later.

Hi all

ty dan
and now it is time for Crossy's quote of the day!! "computers were born to solve problems that did not exist before" - Bill Gates
or...create problem that did not exist before...lol
indeed
ever notice how many peoples dreams of a vacation now include the sought after state of being "unplugged" from it all?
no phone, computer, tv... nothing. Just the morning paper while looking out over some turquoise bay somewhere.
Hiya
howdy hego
((crossy)) Good quote...how true.
((mimi))
Hi, everyone!
Another iddy biddy griddy.
with me, mimi, computer are a love/hate relationship. they are a marvel for writing a book on, over my old typewriter, but the things are a time vampire in everything else.
I get 'ya on that one. I spent more time than I care to admit yesterday just trying to get back my Bookmarks toolbar which mysteriously disappeared. The conventional way to get it back did not work. I just kept doing things until something worked and, frankly, don't even know how I did it but have it back now. Frustrating.
Hi Mimi
That said, at this point I'd be lost without one.
((hego))
How are you doing with Windows 8, Mimi?
I'm liking it a lot now, Molly. It really wasn't that difficult to get used to after all.
poor mimi:(. Today is an important day for me! Part one of my book is now finished!! I will be posting it on the Harper/Collins web site Authonomy for everyone to get an advanced reading of it. the second and final part i hope to be done by years end, so you will have to wait to see how it all turns out then.
Fabulous, crossy!!! Looking forward to reading it. I wish mine would be done by year's end but that would be incredibly optimistic to the point of making me a Polyanna!
I had more trouble getting used to the new Word than I did anything else.
I will go over it all today and tomorrow morning and post sometime in the afternoon, if all things go as planned
crossy hugs his Word 7 tightly to him and backs into a corner protectively ...
I've had the same exact problem, Molly. I want my "Look up" back to the side where it gave great options. Now all we have is stupid wikipedia and a thesaurus. I was planning to look into it further to see if we can add functions like that.
I used Look up a lot for medical terms I wasn't familiar with and it was great. Now I have to google everything separately.
If I find any good tutorials on that kind of thing, I will pass them along.
I like my new 23" monitor, though...I can have many windows open simultaneously and see them all at once...loving that.
Thanks, Molly. That would be most appreciated.
Still waiting for rain during this "nonsoon." It has just been hot and humid but no rain where I am. Hate it.
my old Word has Research, Thesaurus and a translator. Everything else other than spell check I must do separately .
Previously I was able to right click on a word in my text and choose Look up from the drop down...not there anymore.
actually i see that i do have look up and a synonym generator as well. I do not use it too often however
I scan my work for repetitive descriptive and change as needed on the rewrite.
The great thing about it was that I could look up medical terms and they would automatically be there. This new version doesn't have that capability, although I'm hoping either Molly or I will find there is an option for that. I feel certain there must be. Since I'm on vacation next week, I'll be looking for options.
And...yes...planning to write a lot next week, crossy!
yaa for mimi!!!
I want to see 1000 words a day minimum!:)
just about three little pages per day:)
I wish I was disciplined enough to set aside a specific time every day to write but, alas, I am not. I don't like structured time very much. Guess that comes from years of having to be scheduled and now that I don't have to be, I just am not.
for a second there when i came in i thought you were saying 1000 words in babble a day minimum and i was all, whoa
I find that I do best in the mornings, over my first cup of tea.
LOL, joseph.
lol, joseph
hello all
howdy, aslindy
hello lindy
I'm generally most creative in the early evening. I've never really been a morning person, though I am more so now than when I was young. Drives my ex nuts that I now get up by 5 every day and he spent years wanting me to get up early and couldn't drag me out of bed until 8 or 9...our kids are like me, so it was frustrating for him. Now that we're no longer together, his wish came true.....I find perverse delight in that!
Hi, aslindy! And hi to teach!
hi Lindy and teach
hello mimi
hello hego
Teach...got my Nickel Creek CD and loving them again. The Lighthouse's Tale is unbelievably unique and beautiful.
lol, mimi. get up at 04:00 and give him a wake-up call:)
enjoy Nickel Creek - sound them live years ago when they were here to be on Mountain Stage
Lately, I've been up at 3 and 4...I should give him a call....>smiling devilishly at the thought.
They were gone for awhile but are back now and touring.
what kind of things do you all write? what genre?
so 6?
SO + animal enclosure
ty teach
yvw
I went all around that one.
I'm writing an autobiography, aslindy. It's a daunting task. But I've written all my life....poems, short stories, and am published on original research in mother/infant behavior with UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.
that's great, mimi!
N?
I actually wrote a one-act play when I was 10...such a precocious child.
N?
with this is a disappointment
stats of course car
((car))
sounds a lot like my daughter - she started writing at a very young age
Hi car
aslindy, My genre is action/suspense fiction
Need stats for an N? NA 4/5, 5/12 and 6/21
NA 4/5 and NA 5/12
Hello everyone! Son #1 comes home from camp today!!!!!!! :) :) :)
car!!
oh, fun, crossy... I'd love to read it!
I'm sure you encourage her. I used to think that just everyone could write and sing because they were both so natural to me. Have found out that's just not so.
Glad you're happy about that, car! That's a good sign ;)
well, you may get that chance tomorrow, lindy!. I am putting out part one on the Harper/Collins site Authonomy
clue please?
hello everybody
indeed, mimi. she has a well-paying job she dislikes, and wants to quit to pursue writing full time... but wants that security, too. a dilema. and she sings, too!
howdy, MLF
howdy cross
I've sung professionally but gave up doing so because it was becoming a job (clubs are not much fun) and I didn't want to lose my love for it.
You can read a bit about Authonomy and how it works on my blog, if interested. Think the info is in my last post.. http://crosshairmusings.webs.com/
In the last few years I've just done corporate party events with my band....classic rock. Had to give that up for awhile after heart attack. But planning to get back up there again soon. Hey, if Tina Turner can do it, so can I!
i got the N
nbt
I would love to hear you sing, mimi
thanks, crossy, I will check it out!
When I visit, I'll do a couple of a capella songs for you, crossy.
ro 7 clue please?
my cat almost went pro at sleeping but she didn't want to lose her love for it
Oh, crossy, also at some future date we should collaborate on writing. I have a couple of ideas for stories that I think might be good. Unfortunately, I'm a great "idea person" but not so much a "follow-through person" so a partner would be a good idea.
lol joseph
never know, mimi. There may a co-authorship in the future;)
My cats aren't very good at sleeping. They're too busy plotting ways to drive me insane.
RO 7 - style of architecture, pl
Good one, teach...thanks!
Ideas are easy though. It is getting it down on paper that is the pick and shovel work
ty teach
yvw
later....
Yep...I tend to not be too labor intensive...sigh.
reminds me, I better save this work in 8 or 9 different spots..brb
Bye, hego.
no idea
my daughter writes fantasy fiction, of the magic/sorcerer/vampire type
can we break it down please?
Wow, aslindy...she could be the new J.K. Rowling! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
ro + short version of hot chocolate + abbrev. for a business...
one can only hope, mimi!
if any of you are interested in that type of thing, here is her web site: http://sarah-johnson-4m5j.squarespace.\ncom/
That type of thing is so big right now. I love all that stuff, too. Actually..come to think of it...my autobio is kind of fantastical in ways...though not fiction!

Thanks, lindy..will check it out. And thanks, Molly.
thank you molly... don't know where that came from
yes, crossy, I forgot. my bad.

tinyurl is http://tinyurl.com/m4dl67y
I couldn't load that one, lindy...either with or without the n. Help, please, Molly.
Try Lindy's tiny url. You have to take out the \ and the n.
Got it...so that's her pen name, lindy? You won't believe this but MY daughter's name is Sara!
yes. and the first link might not work because it is and old bookmark. the proper tiny url should be http://tinyurl.com/lut7ll9
I pulled it up with the with the first one...looks very interesting. Will explore while not working next week. Thanks.
thank you, mimi
My daughter is more pragmatic than creative...she's a paralegal. I could not do that job...it would be like doing homework for a living. But glad she likes it.
Clue please for RA 6?
She's much better at being structured than I am...gets it from her father.
Don't have it yet, car...looking.
my other daughter has a degree in physics with a math minor, though she works at a restaurant... so the two are very different...
All three of mine are so different from each other. Isn't it amazing how many ways the same set of genes can be scrambled into people?!

Sorry Ru, it's hard to keep up with all the walkies, brekkies, boobies and poopies.
gotcha..
Don't forget the gay reindeer.
don't forget nappies and munchies
you mean Rudolfo Judi?
Off I go! *POOF*
Rudolph was gay? The things I don't know. First Dumbledore, now Rudolph.
well.. that's what I heard
Dumbledore is a new one to me
I'll assume you are not familiar with the Harry Potter books.
just the movies.. not the books
Didn't realize Dumbledore used his wand for other stuff besides magic
It was some odd statement that JK Rowling made, there was nothing in any of the stories that specifically indicated it. Many think it was just a publicity stunt on Rowling's part.
oh.. she's a really odd person.. I saw an interview with her and I think her success has weirded her out
Hiya!
although it would be kind of cool if she had done that in the books or movie.. but I guess that'd never get bye the censors
hi hego
<--Please note my tenrec.
by that is
oh.. is that a tenrec?
Isn't it weird?
it looks like a punk Chihauha
lol
colorful to be sure
I never saw that color fur before.
He should be the Babble mascot.
must be equatorial
good call.. I'd be cool with that. be a great mascot

Well done WV. It was a tricky little grid today.
Hi, soodle
Well done wvteach
Jaxx! You vanished last night with a cryptic comment about you having a bad day yesterday. Ihope all is ok with you, i searched for your email addy, but I seem to have deleted it.
General Note to all ladies 50+. Do not, I repeat DO NOT buy a magnifying mirror. I did. And I'm horrified.
It looks as if my grandchildren may be taken into care. The social worker's manager has decided there is a child protection issue with Ashley. We had a meeting with the social worker yesterday and have another with his manager next week. Then a child protection meeting in the next couple of weeks. My daughter is distraught, I can't believe it. They have decided that we are neglecting him. They don't like our domestic arrangements as he has a bed in a room shared with me. We have been labelled as chaotic and neglectful of a child that has 100% attendance at school, is tall for his age, is not obese and is clearly thriving. It was a VERY bad day.
Congratulations wvteach on your fireworks! Good for U!
Hello Soodle! How are you doing today? Welcome to chog.
Oh no, Jaxx. How awful.
No wonder yesterday was gruesome.
Jaxx7,I am sorry to hear about your grandchildren! I wish that the system would work the right way! I see so many kids at work that really should be taken into care and they are not!Looks like you are taking very good care of your kids! How did system get involved?
Sorry, Min. (((Hugs))). Thanks for your welcome. :-)
Jaxx, can you do anything about this?
The council has been hauled over the coals by the Inspectors over their child protection record and now they are paranoid. The school has reported that Ashley has been sent to school with dirty underwear and smelly socks and on one day with no packed meal. This has prompted the council to track back 9 years when my grandson was just born and my daughter had alcohol problems and decided that she is now doing the same.
Not fair jaxx7! I wish you all the luck with your meetings
Sheesh. Jaxx, are you 100% happy that Ashley & siblings are well taken care of?
Julie is sure that they will take him away and wants to run away with him. that will not help but I fear she may well be right. Ashley craves attention and knows what will get it for him. No packed meal means he gets a school dinner. Throwing a wobbly gets him another room with 1 to 1 attention with a teacher. It is not a protection issue but a behaviour issue. The school is full of young women masquerading as teachers. They are not much older than Jess, my granddaughter, and in the last twelve months they hav changed classes and teachers for Ashley's class three times. He lacks stability there and that doesn't help. I just don't know what to do next.
How old is Ashley?
Julie has had her problems and there have been times when she has not been the best of mothers. That is why we have Ashley for 5 days a week and had Jess when she was small as well. In fact, Jess has told us that we brought them both up and she loves us for it. The family is one of siblings and half siblings from two different mothers and two different fathers so perm any one from three as it were. The other half sibling was living with his mother until her new boyfriend punished him, a vegetarian, for something he said he'd done bu pushing his face into a joint of beef. he has moved into the house and won't go home. It is a right royal mess. I despair
Ashley is now 9 - on Independence day.
What a mess, Jaxx.
Indeed. A sordid one too. Modern families!
I find I can't cope with officialdom. Especially when they have such powers these days.
But, with a bit of stability from their Grands, they have every hope of turning out the finest.
howdy jaxx!. I am sorry for your current issues with family services. i also had dealings with our version of them when my son was younger.. Oh how I long for the days when the teacher used to just teach and not try to raise our kids! ( not saying all are like that, but jaxx tale is way too familliar)
They don't think our home is a suitable place for them, that's the problem
heck we had a place when we are all kids of a set of bunk beds and a single bed all in one room!
yes, crossy, but the rules are different now, unfortunately
Sigh. When burocracy kicks in, you may
Leave logic & common sense at the door
Hey Crossy :-)
howdy soodles:)
Our house is a mess. We started renovating, if you remember, and then Nigel damaged his knee and everything came to a halt. We still have boxes in every available corner. It is clean though but we only have one bedroom free for Ashley and I to sleep in. Nigel sleeps downstairs on a recliner beacause that way he can get comfy and sleep better. Wait until they realise that!
Jaxx, if your Fairy Godmother appeared before you right now, what woukd you wish for?
My first excerpt of my novel is now available on Authonomy.com for those who care to read it. It is part one of three in total and has a working title of "Longfellow" I hope you enjoy it and feel free to leave me feedback and suggestions.
It all to sort itself out without the kids losing out
Wow! WTG Crossy!
My intuition tells me we are in for a struggle.
I will certainly have a read, crossy. Is that Longfellow the poet?
Anyway, folks, I have a busy day tomorrow trying to fit a quart into a pint pot and make the bedroom look twice as big as it is. I am off to my bed and a read of a nice escapist murder story. It might give me an idea of how to deal with social services. Night all
Goodbye jaxx7! I will see you tomorrow in the log maybe
there was a poet by that name, yes, but it has nothing to do with the book.. well hardly anything
biab..dinner
hello all
hi! lurking mostly while i find the last few
Hello Book Doctor Gwen! How are you? Welcome to chog.
Hello aslindy! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.
hello min, doing ok, how are you?
having another crappy day. blech
sorry to hear that, gwen
thanks
I am doing well,but sorry about BDG's & jaxx7's bad days
my day has not been very great... headache all day and just now I mashed my hand on the door's strike plate so bruised the back of it. sheesh.
fireworks, yea
ouch, sorry to hear that, aslindy!
welll done gwen!
and now my cordless mouse needs a fresh battery.
Just saw an article about triple 0 jeans...so, does that mean they are now making jeans for people who don't even exist?
...and how do they make money from that...
I heard about that... can't imagine that size
The fashion industry is ridiculous. I don't even understand the obsession with "fashion" now. Does no one have a REAL life?!!
Just for the record, a size triple zero fits a 23 inch waist.
Congratulations Book Doctor Gwen on fireworks!Hooray
Hello MimiCat! How are you doing? Welcome to the chog.
To get the full impact of how tiny that is you really need to get a tape measure out and look at 23 inches in diameter.
gosh I'd be afraid I'd break her
My new computer monitor is 23"...oh, my. Are we now catering to anorexics?
In my experience (which, trust me, is vast), men do NOT like really skinny women!
Hi, Min!
Nothing to "hold on to."
Agree, ruru?
Haha! I remember having a 20 inch waistline, 23 would have been lovely. And I wasn't anorexic
Hello...did I just kill the chog?
No kidding, Dorens...20 inches...wow. But you weren't trying to be that small, right?
Nope, would have loved 23. I ate and ate and ate, just couldn't gain weight.
I've never had a weight issue and wore regular clothes home after all three babies were born, but was never that tiny.
Oh, how I envy and hate you! (Kidding)
Hello Dorens! How are you doingtoday? Welcome to grid!
just my metabolism when I was young. IT certainly has changed!! Hi min ... Min can tell you I am certainly over 23 inches in waist now, lol!
Yeah...gravity is not the friend of older women.
I'm not overweight now....I'm just too SHORT.
oh gravity is not my trouble... in fact my grandaughter commented last week on the fact that older womens' "boobies" usually kind of droop, but mine don't.
2 to go and need help. sa5/10 &ca5/14 please
I worry about tripping over mine.
TMI..for sure.
sa5.. kind of plastic wram
wraP

IF crossy were to be upset with you for not writing, I'd reevaluate my concern about his approbation
No, it's all good. He's a wonderful support system for me.
Really gone now, Molly....poink!
Hi all!
Thanks for the sa5 but Im not seeing the ca5
Ca5 - take ca4/6 slang for poop, stick a vowel in the middle

Hello freckeldcat! How are you doing? Welcome to chog.
Hello Anniebrook! How are you doing? Welcome to the log
Anyway they want him to walk in order to get his guts going again, so we are off to make our tour of the floor, so I will be back in a bit. Thank you for all the kind thoughts and prayers!
ca 5/14 word adds a vowel in 3rd postion of ca 4/6 word
Bye for now, sue

Thank you Sue. I was called away to the door but when I got back I found it. I like yhese short ones because I can usually finish them (with help)!

Hello Jindigo! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid.

I go swimming in my friend's pool also Dreons.Good to have friends w/pools, especially if you don't have one yourself. Jack also swims in her pool, but he hates it.

There are some unusual words, but not too many.A story is in my profile if you would like to read it without listing
plural of the 4 that came before what you call the chocolate bean
thanks min i'll try. Usually the words in your story aren't the unusual words, but maybe....
so easy - i missed it. thanks
That co 5/14 is previous co4/6 word plus a vowel Jindigo
Unfortunately I am not clever enough to use the unusual words. However, I can help clue them if you need clues.

Hello Bugsaw! How are you doing today? Welcome to grid
Hey Stid. Mr Bugs is outside in this heat too! I needed a nap after being active for a while
Goodbye HarryHood! I will see you tomorrow in the chog
He Minvryork. Ihope your day is good
Hi Bugsaw. How are you today? (I was chatting in the wrong box again>>>>)
Had a nice lazy day inside with my air conditioning&dog.
Except for the heat that drains my energy, I doing very well now thanks, Nef. I had the metal taken out of my ankle last week and there is NO PAIN!
Lucky Min to have air conditioning!
How are you and those you love Nef? I do hope all is well
hey again bugs! That Mr. Bugs is pretty unstoppable.
WOO HOO< Bugs! So glad to hear that!!!
Nef -- who were those singers you posted in fb?
He is like the energizer bunny in slow motion ;)
found my last 2 words. Both were plurals... sigh. I knew it was hot
YAY bugs!!
I am only down to 32, but at 44 percent power left, I will have to plug in soon.
stid; I posted singers? I was trying to send that to a friend!
My friend is the short white haired woman who has been taking singing lessons and that was their recital or concert.
It is always nice to have supportive friends who are encouraging when you try something new. You are a good friend, Nef.
Congratulations Bugsaw on your fireworks! Good for you
I will wait for you stidmama. Been saving last word since 11:23 this a.m.I have been here off and on all day today.
hey all! how is the house comign along, stiddy?
Hello 72 Temple Owl! How are you doing? Welcome to grid
hi,min!
That is hilarious! This was on June 9th, and I've tried every which way to send this from my phone to her (she's in black, in the back)-- email, msg, FB, chat, Picassa, Drop box, shutter fly, etc. and nothing worked. Yesterday I went over to her house so we could transfer the videos, and even that didn't work. But *something* posted it to my FB now!
Hi TO. How are you doing?
fine, nef and you?
just tired a lot, TO. I rarely stay awake to play lately.
oh, i ope you are taking care of yourself.
Part of that is due to trying to keep up with my 5 yr. old grandson all the time; the other part is I'm anemic for some reason (& we're trying to find out why)
the babysitting will do it; but the other is worrisome.
That's why we're working on it. The good news is it isn't GI bleeding. :-)
Good! I have to run, by all and happy babbling?
Take care, TO. and Happy Babbling to you too!
Goodbye 72 Temple Owl! I'll see you tomorrow in the log.
sorry, wandered off -- your friend's voice is lovely, and I LOVE the selections.
bye TO, sorry I missed you.
There are 3 of these videos, stid.
Nef -- I have chronically low blood iron, when they checked I was low on Vitamin D. Boosting that helped. (not diagnosing, just suggesting something to check)
:-) I only saw the one video, but it was fun.
stidmama, did U see my post about waiting for U for FWs
STID! How are you this evening?
Hello mcurlschool! How are you doing? Welcome to chog.
no Min, sorry I missed it. I am not likely to finish this go-round. Might have to sign off before I get below 20.
Mcurl!! I am well -- you? Hot over there? It's finally cooling off here, down to about 78.
Hellow there Min. I am fine. Enjoying my vacation. Currently in Salem Mass, will be in Boston on Sunday evening thru Tuesday, flying home Wed morn.
what fun, mcurl!
stid, I was always anemic before my hysterectomy; but have been normal ever since. But now I haven't been able to donate blood since Sept.; and I'm taking both Vit D and Vit. B 12 and am eating a healthy diet
Yes stid, it has been HOT and muggy but not intolerable. We walked from a friend of Marlons (who asked us to stay with him instead of hotel) into Salem and have a nice walk around on Friday.
Tom and I just got home from Ashland a couple days ago. Had a lovely vacation with my grandfather, now trying to get back into routines and such so I can be ready for an in-law visit AND interviews (2) on Thursday... I am actually looking forward more to next weekend than I did to the whole vacation! LOL
hm. *stern mama look at hema-cells* Get to work!
Sounds like fun. The Surprise Birthday Party was a BIG hit and definitely a surprise. Son in law was absolutely floored when he realized we were there
It's hard to have energy when iron is low...
enjoy the summer while you can stid and mcurl!
Well done, mcurl! long-distance surprise parties are really really hard to pull off
thanks Nef.
I'm now on the iron pills (not fond of them, but still taking them)
We went out on a fishing boat into Salem Harbor (his friend's boat) Thursday evening. It was like being on a lake! No fish though but some GREAT sunset pictures.
iron pills make me puke - a no-go, sadly I try to eat iron-rich foods when I can.
That sounds neat, mcurl!
they don't make me puke, stid, but they do "bind me up!!"
*gives Nef more greens*
Have a great evening all. It's late (here) and we have a full day tomorrow doing the tourise thing in Salem. Night *poof*
In that case stidmama, I'll enter last word at 11:23 since I have been saving my last one since 11:23 this morning.
sweet dreams mcurl!
Goodbye murclschool!I will see you tomorrow in the chog
LOL Min! How do you remember these things?
I'm eating them, stid. I fixed a Large salad of swiss chard, boo chou, spinach, endive,Kale, and kohlrabi tonight for myself (DH and my son weren't interested in it
Can't take credit for remembering. That green box says Last word added ag*** at 11:23 am. That is how I know.
ah -- I forgot about that box
Oa4 meal? o4 meal cookies with nutmeats and raisins?
pl that and them flip the last 2 letters, stid
no, for roughage, nef... I have plenty of oa4! :-)
I am finished! I have fireworks! co 5/14 was my last one.
YAY Min!!!!!!
Oops! I meant I've been saving my last word since 10:23.
YAY, Min!!!! WTG!!!!
Well, I am so very tired. I think I'll wander off and think about supper. It's cool enough to contemplate cooking. Or, at least eating. :-)
Story already in profile plus I will stay here to clue more.
Have a lovely rest of the weekend, all! *poof*
ANd I'm tired and chatting in the wrong box again; so I guess I'll quit about nowu too
Goodbye stidmama! I will see you tomorrow in the chog.
Goodbye Nef! I will see you tomorrow in the chog maybe.
Niters, Min and stid
Any guesses on the next grid size?My guess is 112 words
