Burt just fell while walking Ruffino. I was walking Raffie, but got back sooner. A neighbor brought him home and he was all bloody, having hit his face and one arm and hand. Fortunately, I'm pretty good at first aid and the housekeeper was here to bring me wet towels etc. He looks like he was in a fist fight
He is very lucky that he didn't break his wrist or elbow!
I stay calm while administering first aid, but ned a Xanax after.

Morning everyone. Just caught your chat ruby while I was lurking. Burt is very lucky. I fell 3 weeks ago, landed on my right side. Fractured my elbow and discovered 3 days later I had also fractured my collar bone
Rue is very strong and pulls him and he is sonstantly pitting his will against the headstrong dog.

We were just talking about epilepsy yesterday as Annie's Bobby had a seizure at work. The problem with that malady is that, unless you're in the midst of any attack, nothing shows on the brain scan

First time I broke my nose and had a nasty bump to my head. Second time was just bad cuts and bruises and now this.
You are very young for that problem, Candy. Does epilepsy run in your family?
I don't remember much about first two. With this one, I can remember thinking as I was falling, "Don't hit your face" No family history of epilepsy
I am worried about diagnosis as I depend a lot on driving for my work. I would lose my licence if I was diagnosed with epilepsy.
Burt hit his face on the ground as well as his whole hand and arm. Epilepsy runs in my family: aunt, father, me, but I've only had one grand mal (maybe, because I don't remember it and I was alone at the time, just got blood allover the walls of the powder room) and had 7 petit mal.
i hope you get some results soon, candy. it must be scary not knowing.
My father only had one grand mal and was put on, I think, phenobarbital for the rest of his (long) life and continued to drive (!!)
I think not knowing is the hardest part. I would never forgive myself if I injured someone else as a result of my driving and blacking out at the wheel. My face was such a mess first time that strangers stopped me in the village to ask what had happened and that was after 4 weeks. I didn't leave the house when it was really bad!!!
he was fine afterwards and only had occasional tiny petit mal after he was 90

I live on my own, but always have company. My friends young daughter stays with me when her mum is on nightshift. I am self employed so I do need to work but thankfully I do work from home and can work my own hours

I'm in a weird cycle. Started waking up around 2 in the morning and beginning my work around 4 so by 7 at night I'm falling asleep...which makes me wake up early again...gotta break this cycle.
my body rhythms just go wonky so up at all hours, usually early morning which is nice and quiet, and cooler temps. It must be sweltering in AZ.
Oh, yes..awful here. And since it's our monsoon season it has been humid as well, even though it has mostly been a NONsoon so far.

We all need rain here in the West...even California. This drought has been awful, even lowering the Colorado River for the first time in history.
I saw film footage of Lake Mead...OMG, that was depressing and scary. down 130 feet!
It's like there's an imaginary line running north and south and separating sides of the country...drought in the West and way too much rain in the East.
Well...guess I'll get started on my work for today. Going to try to force myself to stay awake until at least 10 tonight so maybe I can sleep through to 5...have a good one.

Right Click on what you want to copy. You will get a menu for copy. Then do the opposite when you want to paste
