*poofing with hugs*
cooee and g'day from me
Goooooooooood morning fellow Babblers!!!!! xxxxxx and hello Mummy!!!!! lol xx
if anyone wants to talk to me i'll be back in 2 - just gonna go put some coffee on xx
helloooo worzel. nice to see you, mate. how are things?
allo Mum - yeah, things not too bad, all things considered xx how's things with you and Dad?
not too bad, thanx de4. dad is fine. me, i wanna trade my back muscles in...
i'll swap them for my skin lol - i have a bout of what the doctor has called temporary aggressive psoriasis - caused by stress she reckons. I do hope your back isn't too bad xx
ugh, worzel, that's not good. have you overcome the insect problem now ? i think my back is stress related too. my employer is giving me grief.
D'you know, I went to what we call an NHS walk-in centre and they said it was bites. This was about 2 weeks ago. Thing is they were bites but the psoriasis apparently latched onto the bites and haven't let them clear up, but now I've been given some supersteroid cream and antibiotics - hopefully that'll do the trick. As for your employer tell them to - well, you know what I'D say! lmao xx
feign
oh crap i do apologise!
*giggle* yes, and i will not repeat it. how's diane? please tell her that you both are in my thoughts everyday. i wish you both some much happiness.
s'okay worzel. i am done....lol
* so much *
She is fine - as you know we are still very close friends and who knows - maybe one day I can behave myself. But that's not a conversation for in here x
yeah i know, mate.
Do you think Pugs is going to be ok? I get her emails every few days and, of course, reply to them with the warmest words I can think of. Being non-religious I don't understand the faith thing, but I hope her faith is strong enough to carry her through until she can "delouse" her house, so to speak!!
pugs is going to be fine. as soon as W gets out, her health is going to improve 100%.
As Hamlet said to Horatio "Angels and ministers of grace defend us" - so I shall send an angel her way. Don't know if i can muster up a minister of grace though lol
I started off quite liking this grid - 36 words in and my thickness has set in already
poor loe. can i help at all?
ugh * love*
phantom steep
okay i have fixed the b key, now the v key is playing up. i can't win>
no, i'll be ok Mum - the coffee's just started kicking in now. Mind you, that said, I keep seeing phantoms! Steep, speed, deep - I get the feeling the list is endless!!
lol...i kept wanting to type depend.
Oh Mum you should see my keyboard - it's a mess! The number 9 key is missing, as is the v and the b - so is the f10 key! You have to laugh!!
well depend mite not be there, but thank you for giving me a word from it!! tee hee xx
so how do you type those keys? with a pencil?
it's just the plastic bit on top of the actual letter/number that's missing - there's still a kind of rubber pointy thing there so I just press that. It's hard to explain the rubber point thing lmao but I know what I mean
worzel do you remember when my last grandchild was born? how sick he was?
plus i have no idea what the f10 key is for so that doesn't unduly bother me
i vaguely recall Mum, yea
well that de4 little baby turned one last week. he is full of beans, and so cheeky. he has the biggest blue eyes i have ever seen, and he is going to have fair curly hair. he is up and walking too.
brb, going to see what the dryer is up to.
that is wonderful to hear. If there's one thing I hate it's when children and animals are ill. And don't big blue eyes always melt your heart? I remember when my niece, Ailsa, was born she had little blue buttom eyes and she thankfully kept them
ok i brb too - must go find some breakfast! *semi-poof*
and back. just yell when you are, worzel
good morning all
my darling sprite{{hugs}} and heaps of kisses.
*hugs rose* Hello dear friend.
how are you sweetie? did you sleep okay?
I seem to be on a series of bad nights. And today I must cook dinner too, pffff. Just asked my love to do the shopping.
and you, rose? How are you today?
*gentle hug* sweetie, i am sorry to hear about the nights. the stress has finally got to me. my lower back has been wracked with spasms. i have taken my regular meds, plus magnesium, plus a baby dose of valium. the only one which allows me to walk with a modicum of relief is the endone. * sigh *
aw poor rose! Am so sorry to hear it. It isn't too surprising after all the shit last week, but very nasty to have to go through. Again. I hope you note everything down for the lawyer etc. This is all caused by work. Again.
i actually burst into tears this morning. poor don didn't know what to do with me. at least he knows how bad it is as i don't usually cry about it.
yup, have done so, sprite. i will get there, i know. i am an obstinate, stubborn person as you know.
that bad huh :( :( How awful. Don needs to learn to just hold you and be there, and not trying to DO anything. We are women. We can find our own solutions. All we need it is the being there for us part.
if you had not been obstinate and stubborn, sweetie, you wouldn't be there anymore. I know. From my own experience, grin.
*nodding head* exactly. but don is don, and he feels he should DO something to help me. poor man.
it is a male thing, rose. One of the amazing things I learned from that book of the Peases. It is how our brains are wired.
anyway, tomorrow is another day. i am looking forward to it. after church we are going to do a bit of shopping, and i mean a bit. don did the bulk of it today at one supermarket. th4 we are going to have some lunch while we are out.
sounds very good, rose. *hug*
so what's on the menu for dinner?
creamy tagliatelli with broccoli and chicken
oh, yum, sprite. * swoops in and puts knees under sprite's table*
*sets 2 extra plates and doubles the groceries' list*
lolol...oh, is don coming too? silly question!!
of course. Wouldn't dream of excluding him.
*sitting at sprite's table. fork at the ready* when's dinner? i'm hungry. where's the parmesan?
*grins* Well sweetie, it is 10.30 am here. So count it on your fingers. We will eat around 6 pm.
we were very naughty last night and had fish and chips from the local fish and chippery.
that is not bad at all, rose. One can have the occasional fat dinner as long as it is an exception. And as long as you enjoy it to the hilt when you do :)
oh, yeah, sprite. i enjoyed it alright. and we don't have it all that often. when you realise, we usually have 4-5 vegetables every night, plus the protein part of the meal. and we have lots of fresh fruit, youghurt every day too.
huh? where did that first u in yoghurt come from?
that is what I mean, rose. So in an eating pattern like that, the occasional snack night is just fine. If you didn't have that, you'd be fanatical and that is super unhealthy, lol.
well, we can have youghurt or we can have myghurt, it is up to you.
if you can make it here in time for dinner, we can even have donsghurt.
*giggle*
da4ed washing machine turned itself off before it had spun the last load. all good now.
Lol, a kid outside is screaming his head off, crying. And his mother comes running. Of course, nothing it really the matter. And I wonder: how come she still hasn't learned that you don't need to run when they yell... only when they are silent?
oh how nasty! Am glad it works properly now.
it's probably her first. by the time you get to kid number 3, you hand the kid the bandaid, and say make sure you wash it properly.
I only have two, lol. And my kids love to tell the story how I would say, when they came in bleeding: "Don't bleed on the carpet, dear."
oh a new word for the babble dictionary, rose: darnese - speak in curses
(squirrel)
love it, sprite....sorry....was discussing what to have dinner.
lol :) I knew it. That pasta sounded inviting, huh.
i don't think we will make it in time for the tagliatelli.
I was afraid of that. Da4 airplanes are so slow.
lolol...yeah they are....what is that film where they ride an " elevator " through the centre of earth?
is that the movie they made from the Jules Verne story?
not sure...don has gone to check the dvd library we have.
journey to the center of the earth?
ah lovely
it was about 2 colonies which are the only settled ar5 left on earth..
newer than 'journey'
this is driving me nuts...*hurry up don*
lolollll poor man, he does his best!
It is ' journey to the center of the earth'
hiya zooz :) *hugs*
Hello, Rose & Sprite :-)
*hugs back*
oh, it was the re-make of total recall
g'day zooz
total recall remake
lol, just found it with the help of google. Thanks Don!
snap sprite
we still know how to do tis, don't we, rose, lollll
And that tagliatelle dish does sound yummy, Sprite.
*puts another extra plate on the table for zooz*
I could be therein a couple of hours lol
it was a really good movie. anyway...i want that 'elevator' it would mean i could pop over to sprite in no time.
you could easily make it in time, yes :)
What a ride that would be...lol
I want it too, rose. Yes, it was a good remake. I liked the original too btw
Not sure I would want a meal after a roller coaster journey..lol
this seems to be a brick wall grid
brb, bathroom stop
Only just started, Sprite, yet I have found 50 already!
bbl
for once sprite....i found this grid really easy.
yay, that kind of grid. Going like a speed train for the first 120 words, then Wham! Brick wall.
hm, in that case it is just me, lol
mind you, i had to give the monkeys a banana to find the pf words
*throws in a bunch of bananas as well*
lolol...ouch....you got me...
:D sorry... so easily confused... you all look alike...
ah, the german penny. Good, thanks rose. Two more down.
hey!!! what do you mean by that remark??
*blinks innocently* What remark?
just meant you are so handy with your fe4...
um...sprite, there are pf x 3.
ah, the other plural. Thanks hun.
how does he do that? when don walks, his socks spin around his foot, until the soles are on the top of his foot. i have never seen anything like it.
sounds like he walks on the side of his fe4. I have the same thing, and I do.
how do i know? i recently bought him socks with striped soles.
but..but...but...even when he wears shoes...the socks spin around his foot.
:D It never happens with your socks, rose. Because they are so tight. They still right where I put them in the morning.
they stay*
these socks are made for spinning... and that's what they'll do... one of these days these socks are gonna spin right of his foot...
oh, de4....roflol
hello all - clue please for the pe6/24 and 7 after the writing instruments
hi ursh :)
hey ya ursh. pe + the marquis de ****, and evil man
thanks rose
sorry, * an evil man*
ty rose got them
nice, you girls rock
*grin* who doesn't know the grandfather of the bdsm... oops... did I say that aloud...
lololol
strange. i just went to the fridge. can someone please explain...why has my man put the yoghurts away...upside down?
rose, that is beside the point. You should rejoice. Firstly: he did put it away. Secondly, he put it away in the right place. And you want to nag about the position???
yeah, you are right...what am i complaining about?? lolol
:D
Yes well hello all. I've been on proper holiday to Switzerland. Beautiful country.
Re: yoghurt - upside down so fruit goes to the "top"?
and it is quite possible that the top of the yoghurt is the most stable part. The biggest flat surface of it.
g'day scouser, de4. long time no see. how are you?
hi scouser! How lovely. Amazingly beautiful, isn't it.
I am well and happy. 'nough said !
scouser, what a lovely holiday. how long were you away?
Hi Sprite and GrannyRose and ursh too. Hi Zoozzoom - I was on IOW last week for a daytrip to the steam railway.
I was away 8 days coach and train trip. Fab.
what did you see? what did you do? what's the food like? how was your accommodation?
so... opening lickety. Am having a blonde day, apparently.
Hello, Scouser, Yes the Smallbrook Junction..steam railway is a lovely ride. glad you enjoyed it :-)
Saw mountains gorges amazing feats of engineering on road and rail, yawning drops to foaming torrents down below, grass as green could be and flowers everywhere. Brill. Food was OK especially apple-cake. Accommodation was good though the manager was a sight too jolly !!
sprite, rather difficult for you, considering you are a brunette.
oh, how lovely, scouser.
yeah, and all natural. It isn't even artificial intelligence for me (brown hair dye)
We saw tiny glaciers - anyone who doesn't believe global warming isn't happening should go look at Switzerland and start worrying.
You are selling it to me at least, Scouser!
wow scouser, makes me long to see it again
sprite...holland to switzerland...how far?
Sorry I think I double-negatived myself there. Anyone who doesn't believe it IS happening.......
how hard is it to do the trip?
hmmm by train? one day up, one day down, and then the time you want to spend there, I'd say.
scouser, i believe global warming is happening...but it is a natural cycle...not something we should panic about.
same as from here approx 500-600 miles as we went to Graubunden south-east switzerland. Went on ferry and coach and had stops in France one night each way. Saw storks on their nests there.
I do seriously think that we humans do a lot of damage to our planet and climate. But I also believe that the climate changes occurring at the moment are part of a natural cycle as well.
sprite, how do you feel about that sort of journey?
the storks are on their way back to numbers. We have hundreds or maybe even thousands of them again here in the netherlands. About 20 years ago you didn't see them at all.
am always willing, rose, but it is taxing, and if you mean as part of our 10 days' visit, I am not sure. You wouldn't be able to see much of the netherlands that way.
*nodding* no problems my darling.
*hugs rose* So many great things to do and so little time, huh :)
would rather see more about where you live, sprite.
Rob and I are already thinking up good stuff for your stay. We are thinking Amsterdam, windmills, the IJsselmeer/Afsluitdijk plus Giethoorn (which is called the Venice of the Netherlands). And maybe a visit to our tiny isles. And a couple of days in a quiet cottage in the woods?
and also...getting to 'know' you and yours. btw, was talking to don...it seems he has an antipathy to canoeing...he is afraid of it...because he doesn't a) like to go under the water, and b) he gets sick if the watercraft is just sittin and bobbing up and down. but, he is a great camper, under canvas.
Rob is positive about the idea of taking Don on a canoe trip to the Biesbosch, a very beautiful area of water and woods.
i do apologise for running off like that! Am back for a short while xx
he will be fine, I think, lol. Rob is the same. He hates traveling by boat, but in a canoe on flat water you don't ahve that problem. And he won't go under water.
wb worzel
ty mum x
hello worzel
ahhhh, good, sprite..th4 we are in for a wonderful time.
hiya sprite xx
it is canoeing in a canadian canoe, btw, a big open one, not such a tiny kayak. Very comfy. And they will probably camp out in the tipi tent. They can stand straight in it, also very comfy.
oh, good, will pass that info onto don. it should reassure him.
he is gonna love it there, rose. So much to make photographs of. So beautiful and untouched by humans.
ask him to check this out, rose: http://tinyurl.com/lx3urru
Hi Sprite and Grannyrose. I went to Netherlands for first time last year to Rotterdam Jazz Festival - brill. Went to a diamond shop in Amsterdam for an hour of fascinating technical info. Another very green and friendly country.
am glad you enjoyed it, scouser
also, rose, I think it would be good to get our men in touch with eachother somewhere in the next year, so they can get acquainted a bit before meeting in the flesh.
I did. I stayed in luxury on a moored liner on a quay and used the metro to get to Ahoy for the festival.
oh wow scousers, very luxurious and nice :)
oh sprite...what a great idea....let them sort out what they are going to be doing, while you and i are out gallivanting around.
sorry, no idea why I pluraled you.
rose, another link for Don: http://tinyurl.com/k2c926n
brb, bathroom break
:D We will do just that then. It is gonna be so much fun.
and fireflies, during the hiccup. Always fun to see the words jump from 15 left to fireflies in a few secs.
WTG SPRITE!!!
thank you, grin. You were right, the grid isn't too hard. It was me all the way, being dense.
A big *hug* to my friends. And to all, a blessed day and a peaceful night.
hope you have a great day, my de4
and i am out of here. xoxox hope all who follow enjoy the grid.

rolin, do you have fe6/33, gerund ending on charge for services.
yes thx rose... stupid word tho it is...
Granny, that is one word I got that I had no idea was legit :)
ty granny
lol, love you all.glad to be helpful.
does it have a definition?
not to worry, rose. I am always accused, in several passive agressive posts as being of the type that "holds forth" I Do not care. i am sure If I prattle on for too long, one of you fine ladies will just tell me to zip it:)
and gi6, is that asosmebody who makes it in the tub, the gi* that is
Ty ruby, good one
crossy...* hugs and kisses*
don't talk about passive-ggressive, crossy, I live with one and he inherited it from his mother!

rolin another fe4
cross do you bring up random things just to get on that soapbox?
mlf, I think it's poopy head and it's what I call my pups
lol ruby i think its either one
nope. I bring up random things like my tidbits to liven the place up. many people actually enjoy them and I get emails if i miss too many days.
I look forward to your tidbits...
and its a fish... *slaps head*....ty rose
We had a temporary housekeeper last year and she heard me call my Ruby (RIP) poopy and she thought that was her name (housekeeper wS Italian)
I have been in the room and no one talks, it's very boring.
nOW IT'S A BIG LOCAL JOKE WITH THE RESTO, I CALL HIM BIG POOPY AND HE CALLS ME SMALL POOPY
my tidbits are far from soapbox fodder, mlf
cross at least you do it for good things:)
sorry, didn't mean to shout
poor sukee
ok, small poopy
thats so not good ruby
<-- loves crossy
:)
From now on we will call you poopy :)
lol sukee
I think it's hilarious since we're speaking across a couple of languages and poopy doesnt''t exist in
French
and ty sukee. It is the many of you that look forward to and enjoy my tidbits that make me carry on with it.
okay...i need my pyjamas....and my pillow.
good night
do you wear fuzzy bunny slippers with those pj's , rose?
{{rosie}}
knowing rosie, she probably only wears the tops....bad poopy
lol
TH 6/27 ?
And since we were talking about it, It is now time for Crossy's tidbit of the day!!!
The longest place name still in use is: Taumatawhakatangihangaoauauotameteat uripukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenua kitanatahu -- a New Zealand hill. (See if your spell check has this word)
the post office has used yesterday's religious holiday ((!!)) as an excuse not to deliver today's mail. Very annoying
plural of a non-violent felony
poor ruby! I hate mail. Since the invetion of the internet, it is nothing but bills anyways. No letters anymore
ruby no that is the 6/30
whoops, that's worth 30, sorry

my newspaper come by mail, also letters from my sister
I love mail!!
I like mail with free samples :)

keeps our Canada post workers in a job and it empties out my recycle bin!
Okay, breakfast break. 79 to go. See you later.
I keep the envelopes rose, and some old shoe boxes; i fill the box with their own junk mail, tape the postage paid envelope to the box and mail it all back!
must be, rose:)
ruby, sa9, plural of sa8. sa + *o**, my name + what you catch fish/butterflies with
I view junk mail exactly like those cold-call telemarketers who call you just as you are sitting down to a Sunday dinner

mlf, plural form. ge + not south + not west + **e*, uses eye
I think it shall be diced russet taters, fried all crispy in butter with bits of smoked ham and diced valencia sweet onions and crossy's secret blend of herbs and spices. Then a pair of over easy brown eggs fresh from the farm to keep it company

it is a good thing that I am a writer, because i sure as heck cannot type worth a darn!
roflol, crossy...never the less i love you
((rose))
good definition of love, yes?
Love in its many forms and permutations is a good thing wherever it may be found.
Makes the world go round.
very profound...but does not answer my question....
Oh, you need a definition of love? well i can provide that
okay...it's after 10:20 pm here. i am quite happy to leave you all...no definition needed, crossy...i have it right here next to me....xxxx to my beloved.
Love is giving a part of yourself to another without any expectation or need or it being given back in return. It is of doing a good deed when there is no one to witness it. it is holdling to your sense of what is right and wrong when dealing with others even though you may be derided for doing so. it is also, first and foremost about loving yourself.
(9rose))
and the same could be applied to you and mrs crossy. xxxxx
Have a good sleep rose:)
nightie-night. hope you all, including molly l enjoy the grid...lolol

I want one of those deluxe wooden boards mounted on a lazy susan:)
My dad made a lazy susan for our scrabble game when I was still at home. but sadly got lost when my dad died and my mom sold the house

I would love to have another one but I need someone to play scrabble with first

Hows the weather in Maine? It is lovely here in DC.
hey molls
I agree, gorgeous weather for August
it's been a very nice summer here.....but it's been cooler than usual in August...
Last night was a perfect night for watching baseball and drinking beer in the ball park
CLIMATE CHANGE!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!
yes this has been a cooler than usual summer. . . i worry what that bodes for the winter but meanwhile i will enjoy it. . .
today's high is probably 68 here....but it's been cloudy off and on...
Yes, enjoy it. They are already predicting (tries to keep from laughing while posting this) a polar vortex for September.
you know molls that there has been very little fog in san francisco this year? the drought is getting to be a real problem countrywide
i am heading out....going to a concert tonight in town, so i have things to do before that...
Have fun Pen
thanks!...
nice . . .have a lovely evening pen. . .
ty..bye!
*Puts on foil hat, builds survival shelter*
well I will write down your words and save them so you can eat them in September ;-)
wouldn't want you to starve. . .
lovely hat btw. . .
Hey, I can be as panic stricken as the next person.
haha
All you have to do is watch the news every day to live in fear that the end of the world is right around the corner.
go for it
well i confess i do not watch television news. . . i get the NYTimes and WashPost on line.
Ah, I'm one of those throw backs who still likes the feel of a real newspaper in my hands.
I found I didn't have time to read the paper on weekdays so i was basically paying to get paper to recycle. When I have a leasurely weekend I buy a paper on Sunday to read. I agree it is a different experience. I am glad to have options still.
London looking stunning
stunning indeed alleyn. . .nice weather for you too?
When the sun shines!
Trying to change icon!

Crossy is back:) rainy day today. May as well write and babble:)
Oh feckit. Nobody here. I have just updated my itunes with every sad song ever written/sang. Am feeling mournful, and in need of cheering up.
Oh my, how mournful. *Sniff*
howdy soodles
Should I get out my black fedora and do my Judy Garland rendition of "Forget Your Troubles, Come On Get Happy"?
please don't.
If you are not nicer to me, Molls, I will break into a pretty awful rendition of Ole Man River..... There won't be a dry eye (or pair of pants) in the house!
So!! Enough about me(!!). How are you Cross, and you Molls?
Ooo, I want to hear Old Man River. I'll refrain from my song due to the snotty comment.
Doing fine Soodles. rainy day here today. Have not won the lottery, but I am not being sued either. status quo:)
Not to worry. I will warble on regardless...
Not snotty. I would just need more booze in the house that I happen to have at the moment:)
let it rip soodles
Every chandelier Chez Soodle has been shattered... Every dog in a five mile radius is howling. Job done!
Passes round the tissues, sniff sniff
Chrissie, the last song I downloaded was Dorothy Moore, Misty Blue. It;s a whinge fest here....
There is a reason that the best wakes are the Irish ones. : D
Soodle, I think you need to go down to the pub, have a few, get up on the bar and sing The Gang Bang Song.
Irish wakes are absolutely marvelous! Everybody except the bereaved have a whale of a time.
Gang Bang has been done to death, Molly. I need to learn a new one....
Are you matching the music to your mood or is the music dictating your mood?
There is this real jerk of a guy that works in my office. One afternoon, the guys asked me to go out for drinks. Said they were having a wake for Paul. I said, "Paul isn't dead". They said, "Yeah, we just wish he was."
Good question, Chrissie.... I will consult my astrologer, my psychologist and my butler, and let you know.. LOL
have to love the way the Irish handle a wake:)
The butler knows all.
Still picturing gang bang being played at a funeral :)
As long as the butler is discreet
Why not? Soodle did it at a christening.
In fairness, I never sang it at a funeral. I sang it once (and once only) at a Christening. There may have been strong liquor consumed....
off to a pot luck supper...made tomato basil salad, i am so sick of slicing and de seeding tomatoes....
Oh but *cough* you don't drink *cough* strong liquor
Back in the day...................
er, i take it we are using gang bang in a different context from the urban dictionary definition...
Sure, sure : D
OMG Molly, how did you know that? Were you soodle's butler, lol
I am the eye in the sky
Sounds delish, TO.
I know a lot about Soodle. She pays me not to blab it all here.
Only one definition as far as I know TO
Molly. The payments will be withheld forthwith if you don't button it right now.
Okay, nothing to see here people, move along.
molly, perhaps yoiu can confirm: is there another meaning over there?
Sheesh. Things escalate quickly on Babble. One minute chatting about what a person is putting on her iTunes, next, the person's butler is being interrogated.
Hubby is singing True Love Ways :)
Beautiful, sigh
That the song from Rita Sue and Bob Too?
Gang bang song, that is
TO I think the meaning of gang bang is pretty universal.
Don't know, Worzel, I never saw it.
Could be a pop group in reverse?
See, with my strange sense of humour I am now also picturing the gang bang song at a funeral, with the corpse popping in and out of the coffin! Oh dear . . .
hi, all. reading back it seems you are all having a fine time
hi jaxx
Hi jaxx
howdy, jaxx
Mr Gummidge!!!! How be 'ee me dear?
Abba - now there's a pop group in reverse
Hi Jaxx :-)
I'm good jaxx ty - how's things down ur neck of the woods?
I have had a good day today.
glad to hear it x
Good, you're overdue one of those ;)
After my past week, that is saying something! Chrissy has the headache gone?
It has thanks
Good. I should imagine that I didn't help it. My headache is called Julie, did yours have a name?
Di's just shown me a picture that somebody took of a tawny owl hanging upside down on some telegraph wires! It was alive, so gawd knows what it was doing
seeing the world in a different way, perhaps?
Anyways, I'm departing for the evening - have to go and sort my ear out - bit of an oxymoron but it's becoming a pain in the butt! Hopefully see u all again soon x
Jaxx, you didn't make it any worse, just had a bad day in work. I don't get enough headaches to be on first name terms with them, fortunately.
Bye, Mr Gummidge. Good to 'see' you again.
nn jaxx x
I have decided to let things take their course, chrissie. My getting upset won't change the outcome. How grown up is that? lol
Any developments, Jaxx?
Impressive ;). All you have to do now is hold on to that resolution
Oh plenty, soodle. I depressed Chrissie yesterday and I refuse to do the same to you. The SW was an idiot but an idiot with a lot of power.
So, what's the current state of play?
More meetings and a police investigation into the safety of our house.
You did not depress me jaxx. A trouble shared.....
I depressed me!
No, you just get beaten down by life
I have got my zip back.
Quick Soodle, hide the sad songs, put gang bang back on
Oh Jaxx, I feel for you. ((()))
LOL. We'll have a Gang Bang,Oh yes we will.....
They aren't going to find anything dangerous for Ashley here. they seem to think he is pushed out of the door in the morning and left to his own devices. Silly lot
sing it soodles!
Off to make cocoa, may be back
Do you take after your uncle with that lovely voice?
Ah. I would love to have a voice like Uncle Lou. I can hold a tune, but, nothing as melodic as him.
I can't hold a tune to save my life. caterwauling best describes my singing. Choose something truly Irish, soodle
Having said that, knowing that I'm not the finest singer in the world never stopped me belting out a few Irish Rebel songs late at night.
Again (with apologies to Molls) strong liquor was involved...
At the height of the 'troubles, I walked along the prom here behind an Irish redheaded lady defiantly singing Irish rebel songs.
Oh gee, what a coincidence.
Goodness knows what she was doing in a sleepy little Devon seaside town. Most of the locals wouldn't have recognised the tunes anyway.
Two thirds of my kids are living and working and earning a good wage in the UK right now. I am in no position to critise the United Kingdom.

Here is some interesting info for asteroid J002E3 it had a "near-miss" with the earth and the moon in 2003. Good evening, Everyone
Goodbye crosshair! I'll see you tomorrow in the chat log.
hi nef!
Hello Nef! How are you doing today? Welcome to the grid
Hi uusue and Min. Sue, keeping up and sending healing thoughts & prayers Frank's way
I've been stressed lately; my DH got sick & was hospitalized, he's home again; but I'm doing the 24 hour nursing shifts again
very sorry to hear that, nef!! Frank at least doesn't need attention 24/7, thank goodness.
I have not been keeping up, sorry. What's going on with Frank uusue2? I do hope that he feels better again soon.
min, his cancer has returned, he needed surgery to bypass an intestinal blockage, was in the hospital 18 days recovering from that, and then last week started what will be another 6 months of chemo
Nef,why was your husband in the hospital? Mine was also in hospital for Pancreatitis, but he is doing better now.
I am so sorry to hear that! My thoughts will be with you!
yes, it pretty much sucks, min, he thought he'd beaten it but apparently not, so he's pretty depressed about it - also because of the blockage he now has an ostomy bag which he hates very much
My DH (also a Frank) has a urinary infection; which doesn't sound like much but any infection triggers all of the M.S. symptoms; he ended up falling 3 times in 24 hours and then couldn't walk. They sent him home with a foley catheter to drain his urine; but he's impulsive and accidentally pulls on it by turning wrong or catching the tubing on things and ---let's just say he's a handful.
fireworks!
YAY, uusue!!!! WTG!!!
oh, that sounds like a real nuisance, nef! I hope he can get the thing out soon.
Is his ostomy permanent, Sue?
He just got out last night; so I hope so too but it doesn't sound like that will happen soon.
not necessarily, nef, but in order to be reversed the blockage has to go away. Also they will be giving him Avastin as part of his chemo, and he can't have surgery until he's been off that for a while.
Congtratulaions uusue2 on your fireworks! Hooray for U
SO he has it at least for another 6 months?
probably closer to a year, nef, he'll have to be off the Avastin for several months, I think. And then they'll have to verify (probably by some form of colonoscopy) that the blockage is in fact gone.
Wishing U both the best of luck w/everything.{{{HUGS}}}
thanks, min!!
((((Frank & Sue))))
It's easy to say that there are worse things than an ostomy; but it is difficult to accept the change in body image; especially for men I think
((((Frank and Nef))))
indeed, nef; for the first few weeks he was really depressed about it. H'e getting slightly more used to it but it's still really hard for him.
I'd tell him to give it a name; especially if he's starting to get used to it
ha, I know some people do that, doesn't seem quite like his thing
we do have a couple of friends who have them, and they have been very helpful to him, got him linked up with online support groups and whatnot
I think it was easier for a few of my patients when they named it; it was like they could talk about it easier in the 3rd person then
Oh, that's great! When you don't feel like you're the only person in the world with one; that helps
well, I'll see what he thinks - he knows that some of the people in the support group have done that
yes, it's been good for him to see that it's not unusual to take quite a while to recover from the surgery - then starting chemo (which he did last week) on top of it doesn't help
It would be like "Old Fart Face is belching a lot today"
well, there you go :-) maybe he could name it for someone he really dislikes a lot :-)
LOL! THere you go! :-)
anyway I am off now; give my love to your Frank, and to you too!! Take care -
Give our love to your Frank too! Take car of yourself too; Good Night!
Goodbye uuseue2!I will see you tomorrow in the chat log

Well, grandson is at his mother's and Dh is watching football with my son; so it's not exactly quiet here; but no one is bothering me for now
We've had it in a grid not too long ago
sa9 is a pl. of sa8/40
Thanks, Tor. I haven't had much chance to play much lately; so I missed it in the recent past
I'm at my sister's house where everyone has gone to bed
Could I please get a clue for pf7?
... german penny
Is this like your last hurrah before the school term starts, Min?
A pf7/32 word is pf plus vowel plus double consonant plus last two of swine & then add vowel and plural letter to it
This is my yearly visit to my parents house in VT. I go every August. This year I am also bringing my niece & nephew which is why I went to my sister's house first
oh, min, I will be in vermont next weekend! If you see me, wave!
Ahh! How old are the niece and nephew?
My niece is starting high school and nephew is going into 6th grade (I think). I'm a terrible Aunt. Don't know ages!
What part of Vermont are you going to? I'm leaving next Thurs. Too bad we couldn't meet up! Would love to meet!
That's okay, Min. You know about how old they are, which is close enough for me. So it should be a fun trip with them along?
Im heading there next thursday night - going to burlington to bring secondo to college - Im really happy for her, but oh, SO SAD for me :(

pe 6/27 word means going to the bathroom M. Freeman.

I have four left, so I can help with all but four words Nef.
R's Revoked! 3 left
I need to put DH to bed, Min. Be back as soon as I can
I am finished! I have fireworks!ge7/40 was my final word
I will be here until the flip to help clue (if eyes stay open)
YAY, Min!!! WTG!!! (he's slower than I thought
Well, he's semi tucked in; lets see how long before he needs more help (I love the guy, but he looses his brain when he is sick (like a lot of men, I might add)
I HATE it when husband is sick. He's such a huge baby and I do not even feel sorry for him when he is sick. I say get over it!May seem heartless, but I can't stand it when fully grown men act like little infantile jerks!
A lot of them do, Min. They just aren't used to being vulnerable I guess. The problem with DH is his MS symptoms get so much worse when he's ill; and this time he's pretty impulsive and has a catheter, so the last thing I need is him jumping out of bed, falling down and pulling the urine tube out.
8 left now
all R's and S's
4
3 s's now
Go Nef now!
Any guesses for next puzzle size? My guess is 112 words.
