hey rr, how're they hanging??

*giggle* is life treating you any better now?
not quite yet.. hopefully soon
good luck with that, mate. it really sucks how the nicest people get treated so badly.
thanks
hi all -- just popped in for a quick peek - back tomorrow :-)
hi nan and goodnight
hi nan
hi and bye nan, hello flosey
hi rose, ru, have been in and out
flosey, is the laptop fixed?
yes rose
hubby would be lost without it - he'd rather watch games up here rather than on tv which is downstairs
what a relief that must be.
yes, he only uses this one for mail
Wow i only have one computer
are you the only one who uses it?
Yeah..dylan isn't set up for email yet
lucky eh!
Yeah it would just be a bunch of woofing anyways
he probably thinks the same about you using it
Lol
it's fun when you monkey around and find it's accepted as a word
has anyone seen Joso lately?
it's been a while flosey. i did have an email from him.
ah, no time for babble anymore?
or a new young lady in his life - that would be nice
he didn't say, flosey. he is settling in with his aunt and uncle. keeping more regular hours, so he isn't awake at this time.
ah, that sounds like a good arrangement - meals prepared, etc
I can't find the second se6, can you clue it, please?
ahhh, it's a sneaky one, se + head louse egg + vowel
tytyty
took me some time to find it, then i saw , really saw, the e in the corner.
funny though, one usually tends to go toward more letters rather than cornering
that's why it's sneaky
true
flosey, how's jilly? have you seen her lately?
I usually see her at bridge but we were ousted from the hall this past Monday - it was needed to set up for a sale
she seems fine but does keep busy with other things
i know she's writing her book. i should email her directly i guess. it's just i don't want to intrude.
am sure she would not see an email as an intrusion
okay then, now that's three emails i have to write. * sigh * with everything that is going on here, my brain feels like mush.
sometimes you just have to close it all out and have a half hour or so to yourself
just to sit and admire the roses
i have been very lax of late. the weeks are flying by and still i haven't done half of what i wanted to do.
maybe you want to do too much???
lolol, if there are any left. possoms have stripped my bushes of all their leaves, and the cockatoos have shredded my jonquils and daffodils.
oh, the little buggars
i think i will have to bird-net my entire garden...lol...now that would be something to see.
we are being overrun with rabbits - not enough people are getting rid of them
like a cloud!
the dam things breed like rabbits, for goodness sake
and betwixt them both, our decorative pear tree is losing ground rapidly.
ummm<-------roflol......
ah, rose, that
's nasty - can you put fencing around the lower trunk?
hubby had to do that with some of the young trees - to keep the rabbits from killing them
are rabbits the same as mice? i know a male mouse can impregnate the female, even when she is birthing the new litter.
oh my, you'd think she bite him or something,
can you imagine!!!
i wish, flosey. unfortunately the tree is well established, right next to the house. and our roof is part of the possom's regular highway.
os they're climbers, I am not familiar with possoms
fortunately
I haven't seen a snake this year, wonder if the rabbits have anything to do with that
lucky you......over in new zealand they are allowed to shoot them. but over here, they are treated with kid gloves.
i would have thought the snakes eat the rabbits.
we just don't have enough people on the island who can shoot these rabbits
the snakes I've seen around here are not big enough to eat a rabbit
haven't seen one this year - maybe they didn't like the scream I let out!
they startle and the scream just happens
pity you didn't have a dad like mine. he brought all of us up to be very observant whenever we were outdoors. consequently, when i see a snake i just stop.
dad was a country boy, and taught all 5 of us all he knew about the outdoors and bush.
dad wasn't around much when I was young, he was in the army but didn't go overseas
the only thing i cannot stand are big, hairy spiders. no matter what, i can't help iot. i just scream and scream. and i can't seem to take my eyes off it.
they were all trained and ready
rose, one daughter is like that - yet she would fondle a snake or most other creatures but spiders truly freak her out (freek? don't us that word very often
the ea is correct, flosey.
thaks
thanks
I made a fresh blackberry pie for supper tonight and had some left over so made a jar of jam for hubby while I'm gone, I did sterilize the jar and lid but didn't go through the whole rigamarole, and used a jar bigger than necessary and it even sealed! I wouldn
trust it for any time though, he'll use it while I'm in Toronto
yum, blackberry pie, and jam too.
oh, the pie was so good, with fresh whipped cream
hmmm, tempted to have a bedtime snack
what a te5 you are, flosey!!
sorry
these things grow wild all over the property
we have a few friends who come to pick
I hate to see them just fall off unused
it's the quick and the dead here. if the local council don't spray them the birds get them.
well, one of the wineries pays locals to pick bbs for them - they make a bb port which was, at first, quite nice - now we pick, freeze and take them to the ubrew and they make the port there - thus picked for yourself, you only take fully ripe ones which of course make a better port
you still here rose?
yes, dear.
wondered if I'd bored you to death
lol, no flosey. i'm also watching midsommer murders on the tv.
blackberry port sounds interesting
ah, I don't watch much tv, it's downstairs - so only if I have ironing to do
*giggle* if don had his way, there would be a tv in every room, and one for the deck outside.
if I know there's something special, I go down
wow, hubby won't have one in the livingroom
we had one in the bedroom but it wasn't used much - had it disconnected
fang even has one in her kitchen.
wow!
personally i think it's a waste. when i'm cooking/eating, the last thing i want is a tv blaring away.
doesn't exactly aid digestion, does it
no it doesn't. i was very strict as the kids were growing up. the tv was turned off, we all sat at the table, and it became 'family' time.
we did that too
lunchtime was a little freer, suppertime was around the table
today's parents are just beginning to realise that the tv is not such a great thing after all. it has been used as a 'baby-sitter' for too long.
Rose, am afraid I'm going to have to get to bed, 8 words to go but I'm drooping!
poor flosey. love and hugs, dear. sleep well
same back, rose, enjoy the rest of your day
thanx hun
Good morning fellow loonies xx
e
good morning. I think we could use a couple of i's!
Aye aye ruby ;)
Are you out for lunch soon?
allo chrissie!
yes, I have 45 minutes. I've barely cleaned up the breakfast mess...

I'm having a lazy Sunday, not even dressed yet

lol, much the same :)
good morning all
after church we usually go out for lunch. no where in particular. we just drive and eat where ever we find ourselves.
{{hugs}} and xxxx sprite
ya, the ret of Edurope is here! hello sprite
I like the sound of that rose
sorry, can't spell this AM
Morning sprite
rose's day sounds perfect.
we have found some very interesting places to eat. only a few we would never go back to.
Spelling is ovratd
do you go into Melbourne or stay closer to home?
roflol, chrissie. waddaya mean?
hahah, chrissie
so is capitalization
generally in and around our lacal hills area. it is prolific with little eateries tucked away in unexpected corners.
ummm, that would be * local* ...lolol
go6, if you can imagine, still exists around here. The locals haven't heard of iodizd salt
Not punctuation though - that's essential
ya think?
Eats shoots and leaves
whatifwejustforgettospacethewords?
lolol rose
hahah
That is a great book, chrissie
don once showed me a document in which all the letters for the words were correct, but not in the correct order, just the first and last letters were in the right place. it was amazing how easy it was to read.
*hugs rose and ruby*
that's true, our carefully constructed brains fill in the blanks
The brain is amazing rose
snap - ish
...squeezes in between rose and ruby......
*hugs Chrissie*
oooooph, get that elbow out of my tummy.
not much space in there.....
(((Sprite)))
sprite, chrissie has very bony elbows, please do not forget her again.
tummy tummy, who's got the tummy?
nope, rose and I are close, lolol
Soul twins
and ruby now has her foot firmly on my......oh, good, she moved. whew!!
too true. But happy to see all of you!
..rubs rose's tummy to say sorry....
rose, quit the nagging and enjoy the hug
kiss it better, go on, i dare you!
you guys! It's nice to have a SMILE
*smiles at ruby from really up close*
Kiss on the cheek, no not that cheek!!!!
I'm dazzled!
oh, gr5, now sprite wants to see all of me, and it's too cold to be starkers.
So agree ruby :)
you wish, Chrissie, lol
sprite, is it cold there?
I'll take a rain check then, rose :)
it feels like Oct not Aug
yes ruby. Unseasonably cold. And soooo wet.
besides, with every thing going south, it's not a pretty picture.
don't mention rain, we've had enough
*loves rose and thinks she is beeyouteefull!
but, as it is so clod, the girls are looking quite perky.
it actually hasn't rained since Friday;' that's the longest we've gone all month
hello again! sorry about disappearing like that - couldn't get it to work!!
Every cloud rose
is it cold there,Chrissie?
it is either way too hot here, ruby, with thunderstorms, or too cold with rain. Crazy weather this year.
and wet and windy ruby
*explosive laughter* i just read hasn't rained since february...
hello worzel
hiya sprite x
not touching it, worzel. you're on your own, mate
Off for coffee and toast. Have a good day / evening all x
don't blame you mum - i wouldn't!

enjoy chrissie. lovely to banter with you
it is such a pleasure to have sunshine, even though it's cold
bye Chrissie
hello Worzel
morning ruby x
yeah I wish, ruby. It is so grey here.
yes, the greyness is very dep0ressing
just thinking - it's best i leave for today cos other people who want to talk don't want me interrupting the chog. See you all later x
no, worzel, it is always nice to see you
back, that was the doorbell
I thought that was just my ears ringing....
lol ruby
something good i hope.
it was my dear daughter... who did bring her keys... but still was too lazy to use them, lol
where has she been at your time of the morning?
she brought two friends. She is such a darling. Said last night: "Mum, Jalien is sad, can I go to her and stay the night? And Fleur is sad too. Can they both come tomorrow and hang with me?"
what a lovely thought, sprite. she is one of a kind.
she really is, rose. A heart on legs, I call her.
that is very sweet and I'm off, see you later kids
bye for now, ruby *hugs*
enjoy your lunch, ruby
(it's sprite's resto today)
*jumps in car and races to ruby*
watching the news, and the a renovation show, but chime in whenever, sprite

what do you need Crossy? I might be able to help
... n4 ... final decree of divorce .... i5 ... japanese immigrant to USA
sorry Crossy just re-read what you wrote. I thought you needed the whole column - apparently not enough coffee for this morning.
?
what I wrote. need to be more specific, I think I am the one who needs more coffee:)
What you wrote could use a little better grammar maybe :D
... first column n ... n4 ... final decree in a divorce ... n5 ... a japanese immigrant to the USA
nm. the fog is lifting from my eyes
ty dose
have no idea on the divorce term. usually you just hand over everything you own and walk out the door:)

hello????
bonjour ruby
hi everybody
just stopping in to say hi
bonjour JBV
we have actually had two consecutive days of sunshine, so it's very cheery in here
and we're having an early fall - not complaining - it's cool and feels great
how are you?
very well - just came back from Santa Fe - my niece got married - lots of family fun
it's very cool here, too, and we really didn't have much of a summer, but all the rain kept everything green and flowering
Yes I've been hearing from my cousins that the weather more or less ruined their vegetable crop
too much rain at once
((ruby))
I've only been in New Mexico once and that was one night in Albuquerque
{{crossy}}
funny - I've been to Santa Fe many times, passing through Albuquerque airport, but never in the city
I had a lot of fruit ut the tomatoes were totally ruined by all the rain. The ones that didn't get rotten had no taste
but the figs!!!! I had enough to eat my fill and give many away
i LOVE figs!
we used to have a fig tree in the backyard in Astoria
now I pay $1.00 apiece to get fresh figs
These are the green ones and there were 100's! and small ones have formed, so there may be more in Sepy
do you try to preserve them or use them in cakes, etc
that's funny because a neighbor in Queens Village had a fig tree and my friend and I used to climb the fence and steal them
crossy, are you there? I need to download Babble Expert on my new computer
must have been an Itailan
We still pay upwards of $1.50 each + tax for a single red, green or yellow sweet pepper. cannot afford to cook with them:(
good thing he never caught you
ruby, you were once a thief?
no, I just ate them either plain or with bresaola or one of the other air-cured meats and balsamic vinegar
I will see if I still have the link, bichon. 1 sec
and I love peppers too
in another life!
oh god.. i'm consorting with fruit criminals
hahah
did you ever go before a magistrate for an a-pear-ance ruby?
Wouldn't that be an a-fig-ance?
I apple-ied for an appeal
bichon, send me your email and I will send you the program in a zip folder.
a-peel
don't you need a judge's persimmon to do that ruby?
OK, ru's definitely won the pun!
Orange you glad I did?
We never had figs when I was little, except dried/seriously over-sugared ones at Christmas - and I hated those - so I have just recently discovered those nicelittle green ones. Love them
I'm a poor punster
That applie-ied was great!
I love grilling figs and tossing them in a spinach salad with a light balsamic dressing
my husband had a tajine for lunch and there was one delicious cooked fig in it. I'm lucky he won't taste a fig
zeatin
do you wilt the spinach, ru?
SORRY
I love figs.. I make fig/gruyere/caramelized onion pizzas
no just fresh and crisp and green
no no, thank you, I would never have found that
ok, bichon, it is sent
that salad is great with crumbled bacon too
not I just need 72 more! May I have stats or even a clue for any 7m pls?
I had to send it via We transfer because gmail will not allow me to send an exe file
in 7/28
I make a wilted spinach salad with lardons which are not as good as bacon but as close as I can get
re7/36 + re 7/28
actually re 7/28 x 2
not being able to get ahold of quality bacon is a sad thing:(( makes crossy tear up..sniff
ze 7/48 too
<---helpful ru
is 6/7
I am useless, can't see any of them
that should do it for you, bichon. power nap time for crossy...poink!
They're mostly pretty strange words. The re's really need an extra-letter hint: re 6/24,6/36 (reg) re6/18, 7/28 (ret)
The is's are from that strange word i + a shiny silk fabric
ty for those 6's
I never remember it until I have bash the is's arounda lot!
oh boy! only 65 left. lol
FW! And should go eat something - my head and/or my fingers - getting sloppy!
Good day, and good luck ruby.
bye, bonappetit, and thanks

I tried that one last night jw
good morning, everyone :-)
So, did it work for you, ru?
morning nan
no.. unfortunately not..
Pity. I thought perhaps you had an extra T up your sleeve. I'm still trying to figure out Crossy's "re" clues.
re 7 to hold or keep
re 7/36 to procure more profits from stocks
HA!
Gratitude to you.
That brings me close to the end. Time for Lickety and top it off with a few MoreWords. Bedtime for me - worked an all-nighter. Have a loverly day.
get some rest jw..

any clues wanted before I leave?
Already finished here :-)
bye then -- see you tomorrow :-)
Have a great afternoon, Nan :-)
can't believe it's so difficult to find a budgie breeder in this day and age!
budgie breeder???
well, i'm trying to buy a budgie. I've tried the pet shop but they are so expensive compared to breeders. But if I have to pay a high price then so be it - pet shop it'll have to be
OH!!
A breeder of budgies.
Sorry, slow today.
lol what did you think i meant?? haha
Where do the pet shops get them?
No idea, Worzel.
im guessing they get them from breeders but charge double for selling them on - either that or breed them themselves. Most breeders advertising online charge between 8 and 12 pounds but the pet shop charges 20 pounds!
A pllace to breed them maybe, like a big bird house.
Costly little critters.
like i said, if i can't find one from a breeder then I'll get one from the pet shop. Trouble is pet shops don't tend to treat their animals with a great deal of kindness. But then, I guess breeders are only in it for the money, too, so it's a tough situation. As long as I can give it some love and life that's all that matters!
good luck.
aww thanks x
:)

Dunno what you 'Mericans call them. But I'm enjoying a chocolate covered icecream on a stick. Yum
We Mericans call them chocolate covered ice cream on a stick.

Ice-cream! Known to cure what ails you.
I wonder if the Good Humor Duine visits Soodle's neighborhood

The Good Humor Fear? It's an ice cream delivery thing here in the US.
Do a Google search on Good Humor Man
When I lived in Suburbia, the ice-cream man used to call.
I remember the Good Humour Man. Just the fist beginnings of those bells were guaranteed to make anyone under 12 years old lose their little minds.

Eddie Murphy does a very funny stand up bit on the Good Humor man.

Anyone still here?
i am here....
i just finished, bich, had my head down and working
HI you two
Still here bichon.
hi mere
Hi bichon. Murphy is asleep after having visited today and glad to be home on his own cool floors. Lovely time a stidmama's. So nice to visit at their home.
I have to pick Mr. Bich at the airport at 12:05 AM. Hard to know if I can stay up
Airports require alertness in our area. Roads are always busy. A cup of coffee and arrive early to wait in the terminal works for us.
I'll wait in the cell phone lot. It's a long drive there, about 45 minutes
oy. that is late
You betcha
