cooee and g'day from me
hi (((rose)))
hi
hi {{dee}} are you good today?
hi ruru. not too tired i hope.
i'm ok
sore shoulder, but a great day otherwise; had Faith & Fellowship Circle here - some amazing ladies :)
lovely dee. sound of falling bricks and breaking plaster board coming from laundry. don has more than half the chimney down. and has started on the ceiling and walls.
wow! That sounds like a huge project.
he's doing it in small stages. when ever the weather allows him to do some. at least he has made a start. can't go back now...lol
apparently we had bush rats in the walls. we have found nests made from grass.
good that he started, then. Is he wearing a mask while he works?
absolutely. and vacuums thoroughly each time.
good... that is really important with rodents YUK
bush rats.. you mean republicans Granny?
yuck is right, dee. *giggle* silly ruru.

WTG DEE!!!

ty... listless for a change :)
have to get a blood test and my flu shot tomorrow grrr
wow! dee, well done
why is your shoulder sore? you didn't fall on it. did you?
thks, rose, haven't done that for awhile. Getting flu shot always makes me nervous; haven't had any problems the last few years, but you never know
no fall, must have slept on it wrong... muscles sore and knotty
i do know. last years actually gave me the flu.
praying that doesn't happen to me... have too much to do the next couple of weeks
and it's so darn hard to reach properly to rub anything into it.
Was sooooo thankful I asked my rheumatologist about the shingles vaccine.... he said, "no way"... it is a live virus, and I shouldn't take the risk of getting / having shingles.
exactly, I have been using a handheld massager and heating pad on it, but it will take awhile to work itself out.
ugh, no way you would want that.
strange how they want me to take some vaccines, but not others
any more news on your case?
most vaccines have been attenuated. that means the virus cells have been emptied a and just the shape remains. our bodies form antigens to that particular cell shape.
intersting
oops ... sp interesting
still waiting for medical board appointment. probably early december now.
hopefully you will have answers before year end, so it isn't hanging over your head
that's what i want dee. start the new year with only looking forward stuff.
fingers crossed
well, I need to get going. Hope you have a great eve / day!!
enjoy dee. hope you get to sleep well. praying for that shoulder, dear.
Thanks! Greatly appreciated!! TTFN
ducking in with a message for Ruru: real fireworks in the neighborhood tonight, hey!
If you're around, that is. gotta go back to work. hi/bye
good morning all!
first and foremost, I want to apologise for creating a totally wrong impression in chog yesterday. Ruru never ever did anything to upset me or rose, and I am really sorry I made it seem that way.
{{sprite}} hugs and kisses. just started dinner, so if i am slow in answering please forgive
I was very upset about a private matter yesterday, which rose helped me solve. Not related to babble in any way. *hugs to rose for being such a great friend*
hi sweetie, no problem, we need that dinner to be good ;)
as for the poem in ruru's profile, it has nothing to do with me or rose and fits the one it IS for perfectly. Again I apologise for creating confusion or doubting ruru.
hi everyone!
hi roshult :)
and back. how are you doing sprite? how was your night? oh, and i have emailed you too.
just hit the send button for the answer email! I am doing pretty good. I slept (wonder why?) and didn't even dream too badly either. Back pain is slowly subsiding. All good.
How are you today, darling?
leaning heavily on the magnesium. :-( i am going to have to take 2 in the morning. and another at lunch time.
oh dear :( Not good. I hope it wasn't the trip to town that made you overdo things?
what good news dear. so glad you were able to sleep for once.
way lower stress lvls... what a blessing. Seriously.
got your email, dear. will act on it tomorrow.
thanks darling. *hugs*
is it next month when you will hear more from your specialist's office? About who is gonna take over what from poor dr Tim?
yes dear. i'm not going to wait til the end of the month. i will ring about week two i think. btw, physio has given me the name of another pain control dr about 30mins drive away.
ok that sounds good. But you still need someone to take over those magnesium infusions.
if that is at all possible, since he was such a pioneer.
physio said this dr listens to what the patients say and act accordingly. i will take dr tim's report with me, which clearly outlines his planned treatment.
good morning everyone:)
oh that is brilliant. That should help.
hiya crossy :) May I refer you to my apology at 4.01 am? In case you need it?
how did Elegant's scan go?
g'day crossy.
scan is not till Nov 3rd and I was confused anyways, I was quite sure that the poem in question was not in any way, shape, or form referring to rose.
((rose)) ((sprite))
ah ok, I thought it was yesterday. Indeed, you were right, the poem wasn't. At all.
thought not:))
ugh..we have a skunk close by out in the darkness this morning and the atmosphere is quite... fragrant:(
uh-oh! I have heard it is a very penetrant odour.
had to close the windows.. blech!
Hello, Rose, Sprite and Crossy :-)
Bluish skies today here.YaY!
'howdy zooz
hi zooz :) How are you today? *hugs*
hey it's zooz. g'day mate
Still can not spell as you can see.apart from that I am well..lol
you spell well enough for us
I have never let spelling get in my way:)
Maybe so, Sprite but it is evident not good enough for the grid..lol
oh, a bit of misspelling might actually render some words, in babble grids, lol
LOL very true...very true :-)
I trust everyone is well?
zooz, in case you were upset about something in chog yesterday, I posted an apology at 4.01 am today.
I am well, thanks.
just a few muscle spasms here, zooz. magnesium tabs helping.
*sends gently healing vibes to rose's muscles*
*sending gentle hugs and kisses for sprites aching back*
thanks sweetie :)
I did not get that impression, Sprite at all.Not sure why you would think you had upset, Ruru.Unless I missed something(not hard for me..lol) As for the poem in, Ruru's profile..It clearly states the name of the babbler at the top of the poem :-)
indeed
a balmy 37F this morn
3c
Still very mild here, Crossy :-)
We are clinging onto the warm air.
Ruru and I emailed about this and he was right, I had posted something that could be easily misunderstood. I just want to make sure we are all on the same page :D
we are having a balmy autumn so far. It is a bit colder now, but for the weekend they expect temperatures to reach 20 celcius again.
Well you did say you had a meeting or phone call you were worried about and Rose offered to message you to talk about things. So for me it was very clear what it was about. And certainly none of my business :-)
interesting.. I won half a mill and a laptop in a Gmail lottery and yet-- they do not even know my name or address me personally:) These phishing attempts get tiresome
rose, thanks for the hugs and kissed :) My answer got lost in cyber hiccup space
oh yes. Very tiresome. Stupid phishers.
that one sneaked past the junk mail filters
they always find new ways to make that happen
and it is inevitable that developers of junk mail filters and such are always one step behind. You can't fix something until it i actually there.
my poor tummy is so full. we had an indian banquet from a new restaurant. we got so much food, that i know what is for dinner tomorrow night.
it is*
My paretns get lots of those but in phone calls.Congratulations..you have won $4.8 million ..my mother tells them to send it to her then instead of keep phoning to tell her. Then she just hangs up.I am amazed at how many people fall for these scams.
oh wow! Sounds delish. I simply love indian.
parents*
am glad your parents know how to get rid of them
Yes thankfully they seem to be wise to these type of things.
don tells the telephoners, sorry, i don't have a phone. after a stunned silence, they usually hang up.
LOL
Love it!
roflol good one. My husband enjoys taking them on a wild goose chase. Asks them the craziest questions. Makes them hang up on him.
I must tell my parents to do that one next time..Thank you so much for making me laugh out loud..lol
the other line he uses is...this is the detective inspector, murder squad....and who are you?
these scams will only continue as long as one person falls for it:(
hehehe I like that one as well.
"This is the police, division internet and telecom fraud. Hold on why we collect your data..."
I had one phisher give a location that was only a few blocks from my uncle in the U.K, so I asked the scammer just to walk on down and hand in the cheque for 1.5 million pounds and they could cash it together and I would even shoot him 10k lol
Okay bath is ready..will come back later to find mt last 44.Thanks for the chat and the laughs.
ooohhh, i love it.
haha nice one, Sprite.
roflol nice one crossy
enjoy, zooz :)
fireflies. Good grid today. Not that easy, but interesting.
WTG SPRITE!!! hopefully i will have some good news at the next flip.
am gonna hug you all and say goodbye for today. Must prepare a little speech for tonight. I was asked to come and tell new patients and family about the therapy for eating disorders that I went through.
I hope so too, rose :D *hugs* extra for you, my dear friend.
what an honour, sprite. hope you have a lovely day. xoxox
:D I do feel honoured, yes. And want my speech to be good. *poof*
gn ((sprite))
hello
{{crossy}}?
{{hugs}} ruby
hello rosie. I just got back from the radiologist. I was having very bad pains and was worried that I had bone cancer (after reast cancer)!
I'm arthritic! Quel surprise!
Anyway, I eel very relieved
ouch ruby. poor you.
t my age, if it's only arthritis, and with my history, I am grateful!
you must be so relieved, hun.
duh, you have already said that...lol...
I take paracetemol with codeine every morning and wonder if paracetemol works as well for arthritis as aspirin. What do you think?
((ruby))
Good morning, kids.
{{crossy}}
GM sCRABBS
whoops, errant pinkie
Aspirin and ibuprofen provide an anti-inflammatory effect BUT daily use can cause stomach irritation, ulcer, and bleeding.
I have had many broken bones over the years ruby and even at my relatively young age arthritis as been a constant companion for me. i share your aches and pains
howdy scrabby
aaah, so it's a result of the varius broken bones. That's good news. I was afraid that I had re-opened my sternum or broken ribs.
In my case it is, that and herniated neck disks
The radiologist was a pr*** and had too much trouble understanding me ( and smelled sweaty at 9AM!)
terrible when they are rude and unprofessional
I so dislike rude people.
my French is OK, so I think he was just rude
and maybe he doesn't like Americans, although I imagine vveryy few arrive at that clinic
and they wonder why they get typecast that way lol
Jut remember, rude, angry, mean people are sad inside. Don't take it personally. It's HIS issue.
Generally, I find the French people to be more than nice and welcoming, even though I have an American accent
Mature people ARE respectful and kind.
In the 15 yrs I've been here, I have only experienced rudeness and incomprehension from 2 doctors and a butcher!
A quote I remind myself of often: Hurt people hurt people.
wise words indeed, scrabby
Amen!
lol! had my settings on my weather channel set to American and forgot for a sec.. thought "holy crap!! heat wave tomorrow!".. until I reset it to metric. lol
hahah
Hah! We will get our first snow tomorrow.
sorry ruby, i had to dash. the indian food had a rather dramatic effect...lol
Yikes.
take panadol osteo 3 times/day, and ibuprofen at the same time. i always have a drink of milk with the tablets as i am very aware the stomach problems which can be caused.
too soon for snow!
g'day, scrabs, perhaps it was too much information.
I've been lucky with the para + codeine. I've been taking it for years' it doesn't affect my stomach' And I haven't had to increase the dosage
i can't take codeine as my body metabolises it too fast, and i get a high from it. and can't use tramadol, i get asthma.
Recently, the pain was so bad that my local MD prescribed morphine. But tht's just a last resort as the effects on the gut are awful
I laughed, Rose. Not a problem. I am a pediatrician and talk about pee and poop all day.
Maybe I should start cooking Indian food again' it might solve all my problems!
yeah, i guess you would. * grin *
I never did well with narcotics in the past, with 5 abdominal surgeries. Nausea, dizziness---certainly no high.
Morphine is wonderful, but not the next day.
i have some endone on hand if i really need it. only having 1 tablet every 3 days at the moment. like just before hydro.
When I've had surgeries, the doctors have been amazed at my tolerance. Thaty say I'm like a 200 lb. man!
ugh, scrabs, same here. would you believe i got nettle rash with fentanyl? i couldn't believe it!
off to make lunch for old Burt
72 and see you later, kids
okay, hun. i hope you have a good day, sweetie.xoxox
What is nettle rash?
Aha. Dr Google told me that nettle rash = hives. Nice term.
like urticaria, all over rash, itchy as all get out.
re 6/24; re 7/36 clue plese
nettle rash is for the tiny little red dots. but i also get giant urticaria. and when they get into my eyes, nose and mouth, i have half an hour before ICU.
gran, what you do at the pawn shop to buy something back
Another clue: what you do with a coupon. You turn it in or re6 it.

With the risk of alienating myself here, I have never been a fan of pumpkin..*Runs for cover*
Hi zooz :)
Hello, Annie :-)
loves pumpkin, but canb understand different tastes - my husband doesn't really like it
going to read, bye
last weekend made pumpkin cookies with a cream cheese frosting - like a pumpkin bread cookie was how my son described it
*Note to self: Do not invite Zoom for Thanksgiving : P
leaving to go to as hsarp concert - which reminds me - haven't seen harpjane for awhile
helllo i am back again
Molly are you here?
pumpkin vodka aint bad
Pumpkin actually has very little taste. It's the accompanying spices we think of as "pumpkin".
Most people who say "they don't like pumpkin" mean they don't like pumpkin pie. It has a texture that some people don't care for. I'd be surprised if the people who say they don't like pumpkin, don't like cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.
could be.
Howdy, all! Anyone have a clue for the Fa7?
hmmmm... didn't know about that one.
Don't have it Judi
fa+ the last 5 of what Thomas Dolby's girlfriend "blinded him" with
I make pumpkin pie with Libby's pumpkin (friends send it from the US) but I leave out the spices and it's wonderful! Maybe it's partly the shortbread cust
crust*
No spices?
Ty, Molly. Too many damn vowels in that one.
Just custard?
Now see, I would say I don't like pumpkin if the pie had no spices in it.
Are you sure it wasn't pumpkin pie filling?
you would love my pumpkin "tarte", I promise
I'm sure Ruby.
no, it's just 100% pumpkin, doesn't even have salt
I don't think so Ruby. The whole appeal of pumpkin pie is the spices in it.
Tom Dolby's girlfriend?
yes, it's really like a pumpkin custard in a Fr rust
I would like it.
Isn't pumpkin pie considered a custard pie?
>-- doesn't like nutmeg, even in egg nog
Yes, Judi
You're making me want to make one....yum. :9
And whatever pumpkin doesn't fit in the crust, I put in little custard cups and bake the next day
I like eating the custard w/o the pie crust. Although, sometimes I'll make the pie with a choco cookie crumb crust.
Hint: Google search Thomas Dolby
okay. ty
100 words and good night everybody
I'll make pumpkin trt for soodle and she can report back
Ty for clues. I got by with a little help from my friends. Fireworks!
Aren't all desserts in France called tarts? Like in the UK - all desserts are called puddings?
glad to learn Tom was not actually blinded.
Yeah Judi, pretty much.
And should have known that type of ceramic.
Good God, where do you people buy your ceramics?
I used to be in the business.
ceramic tile, actually.
fe 5/18, pls

okay, thanks

it is an odd one:)
not yet, thanks
Crossy, pass on my best wishes to elegant for Monday. How long will she have to wait for the scan results?
Hi, Chrissie
Hi jaxx :)
'Ow be ee?
lol, all good here
You?
Not so bad here as well. Went out to lunch with a friend of 56 years standing. Do you know we never stopped nattering and we last saw each other 10 days ago.
you're right, the 8 is a new word on me
Sounds lovely. Not many friendships last that long
Doesn't even have a definition in the dictionary Gwen
My longest standing friend is currently in hospital with MRSA. We met when we were 9. She briefly came home and promptly broke her ankle and ended up back in hospital. They discovered she still had MRSA in her op scar. Poor soul
Another of Babble's made up words.
theta
True to form, a free word
There she is, lol
I am a generous soul. lol
I will, Chrissie. The way it works here is the results get forwarded to our family doctor. They will only call us if there is bad news. You never hear actual "results" If everything is ol you will not hear from them at all.
ok*
Guess it saves them a phone call lol
Doesn't help you, though
That's bad crossy. You should not be left on tenterhooks a simple call just to say all is well would not be too much trouble
noipe. I I want a full rundown after hearing nothing back, i must make an appointment with my family doc
darn, i already had that one! lol
if*
Not so generous a soul then. lol
I didn't :)
Well, every cloud has a silver lining.
Shamelessly scooped it up
I do not mind so muc, but you learn real fast to hate it when they call you. On the bright side, waits for CT scans and M.R.I's are very short atm
I can get an MRI done faster than I can see my own doctor lol!
Yes, I guess you are both experts on dealing with your healthcare system
Well, the system if not perfect, but it works:)
is not*
We Brits don't have one any longer
?
No more universal health care plan?
We still have the NHS, but it going to hell in a handcart
;(
You can't see a doctor if you are ill without going through telephone triage to get a same day appointment. You go to casualty where they are worked off their feet and you have to hurt yourself between set hours and then HMG moans about you not going to your doctor.
crossy what province do you live in? Just curious; our wait list vary greatly from here in BC
fa 7/44 please?
The only folk who seem to get the NHS are asylum seekers and immigrants. They push older people off doctors lists so they can be treated.
I am in Ontario. Things like M.R.I's used to be 1-2 months but now ti seems I can get one in a week or so
same with CT's and Ultrasounds
amazing. What about PET scans?
I do not know, saan, I have never had one
Haven't got it, Luv, sorry
thanks crossy for the info!
Fireworks - came back for my final 3 words. Funny how easy they seemed this morning but couldn't find them last night!
Looked it up though.. it looks much like an MRI machine
Hi Lizlin. It is called Babble blindness
fa 7 - fa + last 3 of the subject that chemistry is - a sc *****
Babble blindness or tiredness or a mixture of both!
PET scans are hard to get because there aren't many PET scanners around ... only 4 or 5
Well done though.
It's a new super CT - we only have one piblic one in all of BC and maybe a couple of private ones.
Any other clues wanted before I go?
Bit of a tidbit from that: McMaster U in Hamilton Ontario is the only University in Ontario with its very own nuclear reactor. They train in nuclear medicine there
Thanks, jaxx
Congrats Liz, and thanks for the 7
Thanks and yw
the wait list is 6 - 8 months for the private system if you are really really ill; if you are rich and ill you can cough up $3600 plus travel, overnight etc in one day notice
it is much like the one at Chalk river and is a true antique, but totally indispensable!
Have a good evening / night everyone :)
gn liz
lol - I only just got up!
Well, here is hoping I never need a PET scan
Night, Liz
Here we hope we never need a doctor
good one jaxx!
... true ... but it saved my life ... they didn't realize how much of my liver was gone ... I can catch just about everything ... but at 5 million bucks a machine you don't see many
Just checked;we have 13 PET scan centres in Ontario
Sad but true
we have three in Toronto in public hospitals
that's about the same population ratio, in other words very scarce as dofs said
Willing to bet they still don't call you back if the news is good.
5 of those 13 look to be at private clinics
I meant to say earlier, (typo) we have ony yhe one PUBLIC one and it's at the Cancer Clinic
in Vancouver
... we need more hockey players to get cancer ... ... the first one in Quebec was paid for by Saaku Koivu when he was playing for Montreal and came down with cancer ... they told him they wished they had one because they figured it would help him ... ... he wrote them a cheque for 5 million on the spot
wooooww
thats the way to do it!
We have a wealthy family in the city, The Munk family and they are orever buying equipment and new wings for the hospitals down south
forever
They can do a whole body scan in 15 minutes and pick out all traces of any cancers
very cool
I have reached the point where my eyes are crossing, too many letters. Night all. Take care
... they bought half of Toronto General didn't they?
'night jaxx
Google is working on a bit of cancer detecting equipment that you swallow!
Night night jaxx
... undergoing a PET scan is identical to undergoing a CT scan ...
what can't google do?
I think so does, and helped build parts of Princess margerettes
... that's been kicking around for a couple of years now
I spnt half a year there using things they paid for and sent them my thankful vibes.
... I think it's for stomach and colon cancers ... it's got a camera in it which you swallow and it goes through you system sending back pictures
The PET uses a radioactive sugar; you need a medical to to fly because you set off alarms up to several hours after the test!
a medical note to fly...
... oh well ... gotta go ... and don't wanna go back to Princess Margaret ... spent too much time there already
lol! I set them off anyways. I have a bunch of metal in my legs from years ago:)
see ya dose
tc dose. i would not with to visit there again either
Think I threw up in every bathroom in the entire place:)
I am pretty good at body scans too
Probably not the same thing though
good evening ru and room
Hiya SC
hello friends
Hey bugs
a scan from you is probably more fun ruru but wouldn't give the peace of mind that medical ones do
Hi Bugs (excuse my presumption)
hah!
Yeah and they are more manual
there are always people in the room SpellCheck
Isn't it about feeling good though bugs? :D
I supposed so. I won't engage in whether everyone wants your kind of scan tho
Shall I return to lurking and give you two some privacy? ;-)
I better stop before i get in trouble
Readjusts halo
nope. you had better stay and keep an eye on ruru
fatter
oops
I beg your pardon?
bugs must be talking about me - LOL
I am losing weight now bugs ..lol
Hmmm, never pictured myself as the chaperone...
Chaperoning me is a very tough job
I have gotten that impression over time!
thanks sugra. I don't want a scan from ruru either!
Aw youse guys are no fun at all
the nice thing is, I don't think he ever would scan anyone here. we would all kiss and tell
Exactly...i do have boundaries bugs
wow ru, really? boundaries? really?
Ouch
You must be talking about property boundaries (as opposed to propriety)
Uh oh, no response in 4 minutes. You know I was joking, right?
No..i was just trying to come up with something cute
I am sure he is fine. we just need to move the conversation in another direction. So.... how's the weather where you are?
You couldn't possibly offend me spell
Lovely... 82ish degrees F today
Cool and cloudy here
Is that a dare?
We're supposed to have our first rain on Friday night. Poor kiddies. That will make trick or treating a miserable experience.
Could be..but my motto has always been...if you dish it out ya gotta be able to take it
Think of all that runny mascara tomorrow
And that is just hollywood :D
Do you do Halloween in Canada Bugs?
Going to any parties Ru? I'm curious what costume you'd be wearing?
Sorry, yes we do but it has changed too much to be fun for the little ones anymore. It is not about the costumes, just the candy
No. I like handing out candy
A bottle of Chateau Former Self?
We don't get any/many kids here. I used to decorate a bunch, but now I don't bother.
I do have some hall of fame costumes in my past
Hi saan
Such as?
me to. we live in a rural area close to duplex heaven down the way so all the kids go there. More candy for less walking
Hi Spell, where I live we all go the firehall and have ahuge bonfire; the kids trick or treat there, we fireworks and booze and it lots of fun. Oviouslt=y very small community!
sorry about my typing tonight
hi bugs!
Most of the kids go trick or treating in the mall here. I remember being out all night in the neighborhood, unsupervised, and later unchaperoned. ;)
And ru!
Sounds lovely Saan. Hubby and I are getting VERY tired of the Los Angeles area. Too many people everywhere.
I am with Speller. I liked being out after dark with million of other kids and if you had a good costume you got more treats, some of them homemade fudge or popcorn balls.
it is pure heaven; moved here almost 36 years ago, we are also surrounded by parks and ocean
Mom was a meanie though. We had to give half our candy to the school. I think they collected for the hospital or something.
now the kids go to the mall (in LA) or walk the downtown stores in the small town we are in.
We used to go out with pillowcases so I am sure we brought home WAY more than we ever saw.
We almost moved to Vancouver for work about 5 years ago. I was really excited, but it didn't work out.
too bad. you aould be close to Saainch and I
being out after dark in costume was soooo much fun, almost wickedly exciting, firecrackers and burning leaves, sigh
i will be at a friend's house in Detroit, they decorate the front lawn, set up creepy music, smoke machines, etc, and scare both kiddies and parents
and bugs , my goodies went missing too. Our parents must have loved it, kids bringing candies home!
that sounds like a lot of fun Gwen, sure would love that
my mother had a sweet tooth.
yeah, it's fun, except weather forecast is for snow! (yes, we have ruined the climate and the planet is trying to kill us)
Invariably, at this time of year, I have a craving for candy corn. Of course, after two or three pieces, I'm ready to toss the bag, but I can't get past that craving!
if the snow isn't too heavy it will be even scarier!
a old friend used to get dressed like a scarecrow and lie on the driveway beside a bowl of candy that held a sign saying, "Take 2 only. Sorry we can't be home."
LOVE that!!!
That is Hilarious bugs!
If kids tried to take more than 2 hew ould reach out and grab their ankle. Lots of kids went home with wet pants but were honest from then on
Or did it end badly-- person lying in driveway at night!
* he would
my friends also have "alive" monsters: one usually wears demon mask and black cape, another a zombie lying on the lawn, another a slowly walking ax murderer
two? youse guys were sure generous LOL
Seriously, I don't get this holiday. Yes, it's fun to be someone else for awhile. Costumes are great fun for kids and adults. But who wants to be scared?
*puts candy corn in the PB*
some enjoy being scared. some enjoy parachuting or roller coasters, same reason
I guess that is why the little ones go downtown now. They don't want to be scared.
the niddle sized ones LOVE being scared
Oooh. Thanks Ru.
April 15th always scares the crap out of me
i enjoy watching the scared people trying to decide whether or not to come closer to the porch, heh heh
Yeah, I don't get that whole "scare me" thing. Costumes are fun, but I don't really want to cr*p scared out of me.
I should get going on some dinner.. thanks for the laughs.
Proper financial planning will help alleviate that Ru. Enjoy dinner.
My best costume of all time Spell.. was I went to a party as Monica Lewinski
Ha. Blue dress, of couse?
I had the presidential seal stuck on my forehead.. and a dry cleaning receipt on my chest (ample) :D
you must post a picture of that as your icon one day ruru.
OH Shit. I don't think so
I was pretty loaded
LOL. I second Bugs comment
even better picture then!
It's got to be better than that clown!
aw..come on.. the clown is cute
Um, no!
talk about a cheap, cheesy costume!
well.. I was young..
you could have at sprung for a cigar ru
and impressionable
cheapest costume i have ever seen is our "ax murderer" who just wears an ordinary outfit and has a big rusty axe.
I think I have a photo of me under a desk from that party
Of course you do. Where else would you have been?
you were in character after all
.. it wasn't cheesy gwen.. although I did win the prize for suckiest costume :D
**snickers
*opens lead joke balloon window*
snort!!
that is terrible ruru hee hee
suckiest? EWWWWWWWWWW
LOL
sorry.. I had to do it
glad you did. needed a good laugh!
:D..that's what I'm here for
And that's why we love you.
exactly!
night you guys.. be back at the fliperoo
you should send that story into reader's digest. or not. EWWWWWWWWW!
by ru
Gwen, perhaps RD is not the proper forum!
yeah, i know. 8-)
FW, finally, despite all that chat. Clues anyone?
Anyone else with a good costume?
congrats Spell!
well done spell. I like making costumes not wearing them. My teenage son went to a party as Dame Edna Everedge once and had a great time insulting people
wtg spellcheck !!!!!!!!
fireworks for me, too. my last word was a 4/4, OY!
Once I took and old bridesmaid gown, and glued glitter all over, got a boa and a feather for my hair and went as an old west trollop.
now THAt sounds scary LOL
Hmmm. Should I be offended? (j/k)
Ok, for a change of topic... My doctor is finally moving into the technological age. Any opinions on these physician portals? I'm concerned that an underlying party might have all my data?
well, i'm running off to finish my chores. bye bye and night night
Night Gwen
they probably have it anyway.
Perhaps, but I'm concerned about what the underlying company might do with that data, or how they might protect it. I actually read the privacy policy and it gave me enough pause not to select "I agree"
I wouldn't give my data willingly either. Aren't there laws that protect physician confidentiality?
Yes, but.... And it's not like I have anything in my records that I need to hide. But these things give me pause.
I would worry about your future tho. What if you develop something and they decide to deny that particular illness now they know you have it
or could have
Exactly.
Ancestry.com was recently sold to a private equity company. Are the underlying privacy terms the same with the new company? They now own that data....
that is scary for those of us who tend to live a long time. We may never get insurance again
Could I get a clue for te7, please?
sorry Marc
te7/36 - te + small child + antacid
ty
YVW
Any more clues? I'll pop out if not.
fa 7 please?
fa 7/44 - is a glazed pottery. Clue: fa + subject girls aren't supposed to be good at (minus the first two letters)
too convoluted a clue?
great clue! I cud never have come up with that
Glad it worked! I'm not always a good clue-er
only 7 left for me. thanks for the visit and have a good night
Night bugs.
sm7, please?
Past tense of pornography ..
thanks
is there a past tense of Pornography?
"Covered with sooty spores of Ustilaginales" might have been too obscure ..
Play to your audience ..
pornography is a noun not a verb
that sounds creepy torg
