Thank you very much. GL
Hey ru. :)
hi again neil
Haha, good sign. :D
liz sent it to me
Kinda appropriate in a few ways...
I see!
grrr missing one c
got it welsh word
Yep... meaning a valley, gully, etc.
And probably more things. :P
Oh wait, no... that's another word!
Haha... what do I know? :P I was thinking of cwm.
Easy to confuse the 2... for me.
Ok, now I've gotta look up the definition of this one.
crowd
Yep. Just looked it up... it's pretty similar in both languages, spelling and probably pronunciation-wise too.
I'm guessing... ask a Welsh babbler.
are there any?
Yeah... Glantarell is one.
ok.. off for bed.. have fun
HE 6/27 please?
he6. he + two vowels + not you, but **
dinner ready. bbl. xoxox
Many thanks, Rose!
stats for the U please?
Sorry stats for the U in the first column please.
No matter.Found it.
And fireworks..Not really that easy but it was fun while it lasted.
sorry zooz. WTG ZOOZZOOM!!!!
good morning all :)
rose! Don't tell me I missed you by 7 minutes :(
{{HUGS}} MY DARLING. NO SUCH LUCK * GRIN *
*happy dance* cr5/22 finally reappearing!
aagghh sorry, sweetie. caps lock was still on.
lolol np, just very happy to catch you still. First did financial stuff with Cobi. All taken care of.
thanx, i saw. xoxox
your day was devastating, darling... I hope it was worth it for you. And woweeeee at no FM symptoms at least.
*Squeazinghugs* for you, more like :D
lol.... it was interesting to say the least. poor don is knackered.
oh I believe it. When you are no longer in the daily company of kids, you aren't really up to the energy drain anymore, lol. Man, are they tiring. But also invigourating, in a way.
i was about to text Lu and see how the kids are. she said last time they both had a nap on the couch before dinner, went to bed early and, as you know, they were still asleep the next morning when Lu got home after a night shift.
hehehe yeah, pretty intensive day for the kids as well. Lots of impressions to store.
and no ipad in sight.
all for the better.
ugh now I worry. I found he6/27 early on without any help. That is worrisome, isn't it? And cr5/22 too. Does that mean I babble too much? Nooooooo....!
* giggle * i found the cr5, but needed a nudge for the he6.
we are SO doomed
now the ca8 was a different story. never seen it before.and neither had my word list.
hm, looking now
Good morning
g'day sukee
hello sukee :) Did you sleep any better this night?
I did actually, but I was up before 5 :)
ugh, that early! But still, a better night is a better night.
I would have stayed in bed a bit early but my bladder had other ideas :)
a bit longer I mean :)
ah, my wordlist has it. Ca8/60, right?
oh that bladder. Ikr... had to get out of bed in the middle of the night for the darn thing
yes sprite. but you have been playing longer than me, yes?
i have to take a diuretic first thing in the morning. i get up for that 6am pee, take the tablet, then before it is 9am i have been another 3 times. very frustrating when you are snuggled in and comfy.
how uncomfortable!
yes, I have played longer than you. Almost 11 years now.
*giggle* sprite, the other option is not nice.
the other option is wet, cold and yucky, alas
i hear you, sweetie.
been there, done that, lol. *hugs*
oh, sprite, braxton is so sweet. he is toddling everywhere, and i am not sure what language he is speaking, but there sure is a lot of it. he really reminds me of his daddy at the same age. head full of curls, huge eyes, and the most adorable nature.
that child has been a blessing from day one.
I remember how we all prayed for him and his mum.
this morning he greeted us with two socks and one shoe... on the wrong foot...and this afternoon, he had one bare foot, and one shoe on.
awwww how cute. Already trying to do it himself
he latched onto Claudia's cup of Fanta and he was drinking from a straw.
lol... yeah...this morning Lu said he had on two completely different shoes before we arrived.
ain't he precious?
absolutely. we are so blessed.
am glad you enjoyed it. You sure have to pay a price for a day like this, so it is a blessing that you can enjoy it.
phantom: machine
crupe
oops
s'okay sukee. you are safe. not a word
jeezzz sukee, can't you do that with a valid word please! *stern mama look*
lol rose... sure, encourage her... you are already done... I still NEED those words!
sorry. while hiccup was happening, went and got the meds ready. xoxox
hehehe so efficient, our rose
tempura is SO a word
sprite, you heard from our ruby in the last couple of days?
oh wait... it is a phantom. Never mind me, sigh.
*giggling* there, there dearest. you are going to be all right.
I hope so. Right now I am a mess. Dizzy as can be and sore allover. We should be allowed to skip some days, don't you think?
poor you, sweetie. you need to have a quiet moment. is that achievable?
yeah, I might take a nap a little later. Should be ok. And I spoke to ruby on babble yesterday.
spoke with* ruby even. Sorry.
I seem to be stuck at 40
i had an email from her. i am so worried. burt is becoming too much for her to handle.
I have been telling her that for a while now. He was doing better yesterday, but the wound is not closing and so she has to run those stairs all day for him
at least his daughter is coming. i hope she gets the down time she needs.
my heart breaks for him, but I think the only solution is to have him institutionalised. Or our ruby will wear herself down to nothing. She is no spring chicken either.
yeah, for 9 days. I hope ruby will allow her to do most chores!
at least, if his memory is gone, she shouldn't have any hesitation putting him into a nursing home.
he may feel even more confused in a strange environment. But ruby can come and visit him often, which should help a little.
Wow I just totally monkeyed the ca 8
wooooot sukee, good job!
sprite, once the confusion sets in, it really doesn't seem to matter where the patient is. what is important, that our ruby is relieved of this terrible burden, and that burt gets the 24/7 care he needs.
well done sukee.
Good morning, everyone;)
It would be much better for him and there would be the medical care. I'm sure she can find a nice one near by.
Hi crossy.
g'day crossy. xoxox
I agree it is more than time for that, rose. I wish I lived a little closer. If only I could cuddle that man once a day.
hey crossy *hugs* for you and the mrs!
I see all of my favorite girls are here:)
Now if I should just get the last Q word
could even
sukee, change the vowel in the qu4 you do have
Bingo, TY :)
awwww shucks, crossy :)
xoxox sukee
where? where? wo came in?
*rolls eyes* who even
how are you and Elegant today, crossy?
ugh, dizziness is dissolving into a massive headache. What the heck is wrong with me today!
we are both doing well, sprite. my beloved is now taking her turn at som english classes and is doing very wel
Poor, Sprite:(
Hope she is typing better than I am today:)
oh wow good for her! You guys rock, you know that?
Aww. ty. We are fortunate in that we have our very own learning centre where you can keep upgrading your education as much as you wish for free;)
sprite...dizzy spell?? have you had enough fluids??
ah, I see. More storm and thunderstorms coming. I am feeling the lower air pressure badly, apparently.
it helped me get all the credits I need to breeze into any local University without the need for a entrance exam;)
A quick hello from me :)
yeah, enough fluids, and I had breakfast too.
try a glass or two of water, and some fruit high in fructose.
Howdy, Liz
wow crossy, awesome!
{{hugs}} liz girl.
hello Liz! *hugs* for you and your beloved.
yes, listen to Rose, Sprite:)
Hope you feel better soon, Sprite and delighted that you had such a lovely day with the kids, Rose and awesome, Crossy, as Sprite says.
And Hugs to all
Phew! Did I miss anyone out?
:) Hugs are so good.
ugh on the atmospheric air pressure, sprite. that would do it.
Hi Liz
Hi Sukee - apologies. Hope all's good with you.
all the more reason for a nice nap later on :)
gosh, i love you all.
Things are good :)
OK - I said it was a quick visit - but I'll be back later - more hugs to all :)
yeah, this is a lovely group of people.
bye Liz! *hug* Lovely to see you, however short.
tomorrow is my day out with my friend. we do coffee, talk, lunch, talk, charity shop, talk, and coffee. oh...did i mention talk??
don't you guys talk at all? ;)
I can hear the nattering from here:)
nah....lolol..too much coffee
This is when all the hubby's gravitate towards the local car shop, electronics shop, or book store:)
crossy, wait until rose comes visiting here... you will need earplugs if you are to have any peace then.
I will just keep bringing her to paces that are so beautiful that they leave her speechless;)
oh yes. Way too much talk for the guys. We are gonna send our guys on a canoe and photograph trip to a beautiful dutch area.
crossy... or put on a dvd ...roflol
oh yeah, that works too. We will knit and watch dvd and just occasionally talk.
I will toss everyone into the jeep and head into the hills for the afternoon:)
i am so gonna looove meeting you guys and gals.
it is gonna be awesome, rose. I have started a notebook in which I write down everything we should do and see, and prepare, and so on.
yay sprite. and can we do it all in 10 days?
Oh yes, when is your babble meet-up date?
we will make sure we can. Better be selective and enjoy everything, than overstuff the 10 days and not being able to enjoy it all.
crossy, when i can walk more than 50 feet at a stretch. i am hoping for next year..
I would just strap you to the roof of the jeep;))
my idea was to start with a couple of days with outings, a bit of sightseeing, with rest periods in between. Then a few days in a cottage somewhere, just you and me and pugs, and the guys off canoeing. And then closing up with a day together... getting ready to say goodbye :(
we hope rose and don will be healthy enough next year. And if not, the year after. Around june.
sounds delish, sprite. but with Roy entering the equation, i wonder if pugs wants to still do this.
hm I think she will. Let's hope it works out with Roy. Then he can watch the farm :D
and we have to factor in Barb's care too
i guess it's a watch and see thing.
yeah. But pugs was so clear about being able to do this. I think she has a backup plan for Barb. And she surely deserves a vacation from it all.
fireflies
i know, dear. but like i said. Roy has become a major factor.
WTG SPRITE!!!!
we'll see. Things will work out for the best, no doubt.
i am just saying.... i want pugs to be able to make her own mind up with no pressures.
pft I will pressure her like crazy :)
well, I have to go get ready. Take care all.
bye sukee, I hope you have a grand day
later sukee. xoxox
tc, Sukee
no you don't sprite. pugs will have enough pressures without us pushing her...lolol
I will I will I will!
naughty sprite. *gets spray bottle ready*
*checks* yep I am watertight. Go right ahead, mrs rose. I can take it.
* pump, pump * sprays sprite, right between the eyes. gotcha!!
*turns on windshield wipers*
too late...i already gotcha....
hehehe :) Ok, time for me to get the laundry up on the line and then a nap for me and terra. *hugs* to my friends. And to you all, a blessed day and a peaceful night.
xoxox, sprite. hope your day allows you all the rest you deserve.
and time for me to lay me down. xoxox to all. enjoy the grid. small but has some bitey teeth.
...and my girls are gone like the wind in the grass, leaving me nothing but a memory, and a hit of perfume on the wind..
hint
I see that we have one of our favorite welsh words in the grid today:)
Good morning!
Howdy, car;)
Ooh! We better catch that 3:10 train!
Gotta love these small grids filled with obscure words...NOT!
Interesting tidbit of the day. The air polution particulates have become so high in Paris, that the powers that be have made all inter-city buses free of any charge; additionally every rooftop will, in a set period of time, either have to be a green roof, or have solar panels installed upon them:)
Hmmm...wonder if they will follow through on all that
Not sure. it is either do that or stop breathing.
May I have a clue for that Welsh word you spoke of earlier?
being voted the most polluted city for a day will knock the heck out of those tourist dollars
ahh yes, cr 5/22 means a crowd
ty
Seems our very own urban nightmare of Toronto was the first to introduce a by-law saying that henceforth all new building MUST have plans to include a green roof in the construction
Stats please for the P?
ph 4/7
Got it. ty
Need to go fight with the boys...brb...
:)
Good news...mommy is winning today!
Oh my...pulled that CA 8 out of nowhere!
Hi all :)
Yaaa!
Hi Liz
How are you and Dylan today? Both better I hope.
I am fine....
...boys on the other hand....
...are about to feel my wrath.
Well, you're the important one.
Only because I don't know your boys! ;)
Howdy again, Liz
I'll take it!
Hi Crossy - here for a bit longer this time. Need to try to find my last 15 words.
Help please with HE 6?
Nice and sunny today, but minus 7C out:)
he 6 - he + 2 vowels + not us (a clue from earlier - Rose, I think)
First real autumn day here today - down to the low 20s.
ty liz
On the whole, I think I prefer sun and -7!
mmm..20c...perfect temp for a swim:)
yw
We used to swim when the pool was 23 or 24 - now it has to be nearer to 30! We've become really wimpish!
Guess your blood gets as thin as tap water:/
My brother has that issue in Las Vegas. he is frozen now if it falls below 70F!
Really acclimatised to the weather here but still don't like the humidity.
It's true that we feel cold in temperatures that I'd've considered warm in London. One difference though is that houses here don't have central heating.
Liz...two additional vowels after the he?
NM...got it!
yes..
hello everyone

Well, Bich just spelled it out for you Liz : D
If I'd only stopped trying 6 letters, I might've found it more quickly!
See Liz, a trove of North American obscure words can be found here
Thanks Babble for teaching me all these wonderfully useful words ;)
Yes, there is no telling what interesting cocktail party conversations you will get into about um5s.
We used to try to challenge the head teacher of our school to include a given (obscure) word into the morning assembly.
Challenges like that are fun. However, I am not impressed by people who use obscure words in their everyday vocabulary just to show off.
That's just pretentious!
Yes, and people look at them funny and then back away slowly. : D
If we ever have another super storm Sandy, we will definitely need an um5 to get around. So, it is a practical word to know.
Love your practicality, Annie but I'm hoping you don't get another storm like that.
I think you are more likely to see people in two-man inflatables in New York.
Mr. Bich always knows the definition of lots of obscure words. It' maddening
It'd be a surf board here!
The co-op is putting the finishing touches on the new electrical sub-station due to the storm.
With global warming, that's even more of a possibillity
That is why Mr. Bich wins all that money on trivia shows
Mind you, having used the word "kea" in scrabble for many years, it was great to actually see some in New Zealand!
WTG Mr. B
any new shows in the offing, bichon
No, he wanted to get on Wheel Of Fortune, but he wasn't hyped up enough
was he ever on Jeopardy?
Yes. Wonderful story
PLease tell.
He won one game [modest amount of money]. /but he won a trip to Hawaii for two
very nice!
We had such a great time
Sounds exotic and lovely - hope you had a wonderful trip there.
7 left, which I'm not seeing, so I'll leave them until tomorrow. Enjoy your days everyone :)
And thanks for the um5
We did. And we went to three other islands as an add-on
bye Liz
