Hi to all. Hope evey one is well.

Amen to that, Dianne.
Must get ready for bed. Thanks for all the help. Have a wonderful Easter.
and you peach. hope you easter is blessed. xoxox
ta
hi
hey herin. are you choklitted out?
Yup
Well actually I lie. I cracked the first chocolate one at 7:30
ditto here. we went out for lunch at Milano's in brighton. had the best surf and turf. still full from that....lol
Is that place good>
oh, yeah. i booked over a month ago. the place was packed.
So does one watch Se7en and eat their dinner at the same time?
if you are fortunate to have a table by the window you have a panoramic view of the bay. we were too busy laughing and talking. my bros and their families were with us.
How lovely
They are a little pricy for a ALH Group hotel. Lovely though
ag5d, it is pricey. but we don't do it frequently. in fact probably just easter sunday to tell the truth. christmas we spend in a park somewhere.
NOt saying that it is a bad thing. Just an observation. You are talking to the crazy muppet that spent $200 on a bottle of wine one night
didn't get the last clue for ra7, could someone please re-clue it?
Don't have it sorry
marc, ra7. ra*, piece of discarded cloth + alternative spelling of nasty viral gr4th on the skin.
thanks got it
good for you, marc
more to do with your great clues
awww shucks marc. * blushing furiously *
I should go check on dinner
see you later, herin
good morning all!
and a happy easter for those who celebrate
YAYAYAYAY!!!!!!! {{hugs}} sprite
Hi Sprite.
omg you are still here! I am so lucky. *hugs* for you, my dear friend.
hi lady! *hugs*
how's the study going?
daylight saving has finished. i am still operating on the old time. * grin * well that's my story and i'm sticking to it.
Going
I do need to look into the oven
good story. I am falling for it straight away. So glad to see you, rose. I slept like a log and even dreamt lovely dreams!
good, lady, going is better than stuck. Hurry back.
oh, wow!! how fantastic, sprite.
will do but am making steak
and probably setting table
ok sweetie, take your time. Was just letting you know I enjoy your company, grin. Not to stress you.
sprite i had the most incredible steak at lunch today. it was soooo yummy.
yeah rose, I am over the moon, lol. Incredible what a good night of sleep can do for us, isn't it.
oh wow rose, sounds delicious! Glad you enjoyed your yearly steak :)
ohhh ro4 you are in the grid :D
well this is not something i would normally buy for us. it was a 300gm piece of angus beef. it truly melted in the mouth.
good morning sprite, rose and herin!
if you go overboard, go all the way overboard, right? Lovely. I am literally drooling. Sorry for the image.
good morning lbdawger
good morning, dawg! How are you today?
drooling over the images of beef! yummm! happy easter or the day after.
it was a surf and turf dish. with the steak were king prawns, scampi and scallops, in a divine cream sauce.
to you too, dawg.
thanx lbdawger.
surf and turf! mega drooling here!
sounds like your kind of dish, rose :)
ditto what sprite said.
surprise, surprise!! i cannot face any dinner tonight.
roflol still stuffed?
yup, and have had tooo much choklit too.
ah well, once a year shouldn't harm you, rose. I hope you enjoyed it to the hilt.
oh, which reminds me. i have a hard-boiled egg in my handbag. i had better retrieve it pronto and put it in the fridge. brb
oh dear. Your bag is smelly now...
dawg, how are you doing today?
image of cartoon handbag with wafting black smoke coming out of it!
I'm doing well, Sprite. and you?
ugh yeah, not many things smell the way eggs do
good to hear, dawg. I am fine. Slept like a baby, feeling extra good today.
love that well rested feeling! is it spring yet in your backyard? I have mud and yuck
mud and yuck here as well. But today, there is sun!
we had a few hours of sun yesterday. not sure what the weather liars are saying for today.
I never listen to them. Only believe them about the weather we are having at the moment anyway, and that, I can see for myself.
lol, yup me too. and here the weather can change in the blink of an eye.
back. and in church this morning they gave me a phalaenopsis orchid. i was told that it was a robust plant which thrived on neglect. and i said, in that case it is going to be a VERY robust plant. it is the most beautiful deep purple.
oh how beautiful, rose
here as well, dawg. Very changeable weather here.
btw, mydecision about the restaurant proved to be correct. the weather here barely made it to 19C and that wind was bitterly cold.
I had to google and image. lovely!
it is very pretty dawg
the kids have this app on their phone that predicts the rain in the next few hours. They actually try to time their going to school by it. And end up in the colossal rainstorm they were trying to avoid, of course.
roflol, of course they do. i say, look out the window. if you know which direction your weather comes from, you can pretty much predict exactly what the weather is going to do.
my grandma used to have those, rose. She never neglected any of them but they still bloomed like crazy. Of course, everything bloomed and prospered for her. Amazing that I with my black thumbs are related to her.
am, not are. Sigh.
i am going to google them another time, and print out the directions for their care.
I hear you, sprite. My mother could gr4 anything! me, I grow dust
dawg, sprite. i can kill fish-bone ferns/bracken.
we are the mighty plant terminators!
do you think it is an as yet undiscovered fact of life? That growing magic always skips a few generations?
I read here, rose: lots of light but no direct sunlight. And water on the earth, not on the plant.
or, dunk the pot once a week into a bucket of water. For about a minute.
Good morning, everyone:)
My sibs are much better at keeping plants alive. I think I just got the bad luck.
hi crossy
and air roots are a sign the plant is happy. You must leave them alone. Lol, I love this.
hello crossy! *hugs*
All my favorite ladies are here this morning:)
thanx sprite.that's easy. g'day crossy
oh my, dawg. The undiscovered fact of life might be that one in every generation is the Chosen One! She alone will carry the curse of unplantism.
yes, I think you may have it there, Sprite.
aw how sweetly put, crossy. How is your favorite of all favorites doing? Still dozing?
nah, doesn't work like that. I'm an only child and I can kill cacti while my mum can grow anything in the world
ATA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Omg how lovely to see you. That has been literally ages. I wrote you an email once but I think it never reached you. Do you have a new email? How are you doing?
hi, Atalante! but that still holds true, one in every generation.
hello :) happy easter!
that still holds true then. You are the one chosen to carry the curse.
Crossy also has a black thumb. You can present me with the most hardy, durable cactus plant, and it will take one look at me, sigh once in defeat, and die willingly to avoid any torture i would inadvertently place upon it in my ignorance of gardening :/
my beloved is still abed, Sprite:)
whoot!! ata!! g'day honey.
ditto, crossy
I am the only morning bird in this household. makes it tough sometimes:/
well at least the curse doesn't discriminate by gender, crossy
aww crossy. and you are so brave and noble..
Ata, is there any way I can reach you nowadays?
still at elegaer@gmail.com, but I don't read my emails every day ... you should get a reply at some point though :D
I read too many emails at work to come home and read mroe emails every day :P
nah has been 2 years back, or something like that. Will write to you soon!
*grins* Well nothing I have to say won't keep over time! No hurry at all. And I hear ya. Used to be the same for me, back in my working days.
are you happy in your new life, Ata?
I bet crossy is making himself a brave and noble cup of lonesome tea.
very, am up in scotland, right next to the sea. I open my front door and all I can hear is the sea rolling in and the seagulls. I don't have my darling Hobbit any more, but I have a small bouncy cocker puppy who is currently learning how to be a dog
aw that sounds so sweet. Did you have to leave Hobbit with your ex? Or did she go the way of all our beloved pets? And wow, living at the sea for a marine biologist... not bad at all!
I wouldn't have left her with anyone! :) She went very suddenly and very peacefully when she was nearly 11, And I still miss her everyday
(((ATA))) but life by the sea and a new puppy...not too shabby. Hobbit is still with you and probably a bit in that new pup.
am sorry for your loss, Ata :( Keeps hurting, doesn't it, missing a beloved friend like that. But what a blessed way to go. And yay for allowing a new friend into your heart.
you still with us, rose? Or did you fall asleep? ;)
tadone!! finito! a typical grid of this size, fun with a few oddball words.
wtg dawg!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh yes :) and Loki is an adventure all in himself!
oooo I love that name!
it was a VERY silly name for a mad spaniel :P
*giggles* works for me
;-) I imagine he loves playing in the water and coming up to you for loving!
he's doing his best to live up to his name. he's in my pic. and how and you and terra and lbd and everyone?
we both spent about 70% of our lives soggy ...
and back, reading the chog. ata, that is very sad about hobbit, but i am so pleased to read about the cocker pup. may you both have many loving happy years together. xoxox
I'm doing well.but without a furbaby. I'd love to have another, but hubz is resistin.
WTG LBDAWGER!!!
wo5, please?
sounds good, Ata. We are all fine here. The kids are almost grown. Tim is gonna be 19 next month, Caya is 17. They have grown up to beautiful people. Not that I am biased or anything. Rob and I are ok, getting older and not always in full health, but happy together. And Terra is still the same lovely, silly, happy dog. Sunshine in my every day. You helped us pick the perfect dog for us.
marc, someone who pays court to another
wb rose :)
pj's on, taking meds as we speak.
19 and 17!!!!!!!!
ikr! You will remember them from my stories as little children, grin.
sorry granny didn't get the clue
I know! I keep not quite believing that Silverclaw is nearly 11 too
marc, okay. w + three vowels + first letter of not left side
an oldfashioned word for someone who tries to get someone to marry him, Marc. Bringing her chocolates, flowers, be his charmingest self...
oh my gosh, 11! How is Sily doing?
she's still the sweetest little thing :)
awwwww. I remember how she always wanted to help you babble.
marc, or... w + double vowel + vowel + first letter of not the left side
got it thanks
good for you marc
yvw
she can now go outside, and she is starting to come an Independent Cat. She demands to be let out when she wants to, and even had her first ever cat fight last week!!!
hmz I guess so4 + car is not one word.
oh wow! Good for her, gooo Sily!
Good morning, happy Easter, welcome to some more snow.
good morning sukee, happy easter to you too. Ugh at more snow :(
happy easter sukee. and g'day
It's my fault, I looked out the window yesterday morning and said "the snow is almost gone"...
a white easter. Guess we could write a song for that.
jeezzz sukee, how blonde can one be? Lol. They thought you were complaining.
I know...
't's a white, white easter, You better move your keister, the snow is up to your ear, all the eggs will disappear!'
lol
*giggle* sprite
lol, sprite! well done
doesn't have quite the same ring, does it, grin
dearest...are you still here?
yep, finishing off the last ones
i have recommenced the tegretol. cellulitis totally died down.
oh I am so glad. That was a bad spell.
and so has the itching episode from the FM
I wonder, rose... when a wound heals, it hurts, and then it starts itching... maybe the FM will follow the same rule :)
the blasted sweats have started again. that's 12 days since the infusions.
ok, keep note. Remember the doc said this was how it would go. The more infusions you get, the longer you should be able to go on them. This was only the first.
not with me, sweetie. every now and again i itch all over...it really is enough to drive one over the edge.
i am thinking of recommencing the extra magnesium. what do you think?
ikr! I hate the itching. The neuropathy is starting in my hands now and it is the same as with my feet. Crazy itch now and then.
can't you ask dr John? To me, it sounds ok. Looks like the infusion is no longer cutting it, so extra magnesium would be good. But wouldn't want to mess up dr John's indications.
fireflies
wtg
nah...i just needed confirmation from a fellow sufferer. i really don't want the cramps and twitches to start up again.
WTG SPRITE!!!
dr tim wanted me to have fortnightly infusions of magnesium.
sounds about right, doesn't it? That is about how long it worked for you. But I hope dr John is right and it will work longer every time.
and the infusion dr john gave me was double the dose of dr tim's.
well we do know my kidney's excrete the magnesium faster than the usual kidney.
what they call progressing insight, maybe. The longer they work with this method, the better they will be able to finetune it and predict its effect.
and I am back
wb lady! How was your dinner?
yes, sprite. i am keeping a diary. it will give dr john a detailed account of what i have gone through.
how was the steak, herin?
that will be so helpful, rose
Brilliant. We haven't made steak this year
nice. there is nothing so good as a piece of good steak.
One of those Macro organic numbers. Porterhouse.
I cannot remember the last time I had a good steak:(
ok darlings, I have to go. *hugs* to you all. Ata, it was absolutely lovely to see you again. Will write. Dawg and sukee and crossy, have a great day. Lady, good luck with the study. And rose, big *hugs* and lots of love.
OOOOOo I forgot to add I had a hair cut.
tc ((sprite))
Take
Care
lol
Hi crossy.
*hugs sprite muchly*
crossy....poor you....it is recommended that you have red meat 3 times/week.
{{hugs}} darling sprite. i hope your day allows you to rest as much as needed. xoxox
http://tinyurl.com/pwtss5r see new hair
lololol...herin??? which hair did you have cut?
nope, herin....not a good look...xoxox
You look angry:(
What is wrong with my hair?? :(
Nope that was my 'what the hell is this mess hair'
what crossy said...lolol
Is this better -http://tinyurl.com/ng7ga42
Cute.
better, but those great big sunglasses are still hiding your eyes. In a police line-up all I could say would be "well... she had big glasses" lol
Speaking of which, I'm long overdue for a haircut. I usually have it short and it's almost at my shoulders.
had my mop sheared yesterday:)
Sun glasses live on my head. I don't like bright lights
It was so cold I didn't want to expose my neck :)
omg...herin...too funny
and my ears
I did have the back of my head shaved for summer. It is growing back
Should move here, herin. We have diffused and snow blanketed light for 8 months of the year;))
http://tinyurl.com/kzdfwa2 Is this better. This was at 2am after 7 hours of hair dying
Had two sunny days in a row now, and we are all standing around looking up at this strange ball of light and heat
It's snowing here.
Rose my friend asked me to move instead of getting out of her way I was like nope
minus 4c here atm, and they are calling for snow tonight:/
I hate winter
Of course, it will be gone by Tuesday.
*giggle* herin
Me too herin
nice crossy. about time, mate.
Well, I am glad the Easter long weekend citiots managed to get their skiing in. They are a pain, but we need their money:/
So now I have a kitty on my shoulder
parrot-kitty
mm, 4 words in, and I can already see that it is going to be one of THOSE grids:(
And I am struggling to stay awake
ROse - The Astor Theater closes tonight.
me too. struggling to stay awake. himself has turned off the lights and i am typing by the light of the silvery moon. is there a message here?
herin...so sad about the astor. like too many of it's contemporaries.
The Palace is taking management
okay... i give up....time for bed... yes, i knew about the palais.
Night night
xoxox to all my friends. enjoy the grid. but be warned... it has teeth... lol
Have a good sleepy my aussie friends:)
sweet dreams, Rose
I know it has teeth--have been bitten twice already:(
Night
Wonders off myself
sweet sleeps, Herin
Good day to all.
hi Scrabbs, hi everyone
Morning, Scrabs.
It's snowing here.
wow ! light fluffy snow or wet snow?
Fine and light, dusting everything. It's pretty outside.
morning, everyone
hi welki
snowing here, too
Hi welki
Howdy, Scrabby
I watched a wolf video and thought of you, Crossy. *howl*
:))
arrrooooo...
Hi folks.
morning, bich, crossy
Arf, arf, Bichon.
use your words, scrabbs *lol*
Yummy cake Scrabs
Haha, Bichon. We will eat it later and it will be delicious in spite of its appearance.
I can see i am in for a tough time with this grid. grannyrose said it had teeth, and if she says that, then it must be evil indeed.
welki, I was wiggling my nose but you cannot see that.
I've made many a cake like that
day off today, scrabbs?
On call still, til tomorrow 0800, and day 6 of working 10 in a row. *sigh*
My sister and cousin are coming down later to keep me company. I must stay here, within 15 minute drive of hospital, while on call.
here's an article my daughter posted regarding how technology might fail you in a medical emergency: http://tinyurl.com/nbr3fw7
my daughter said, "I am thankful that I haven't made a grievous mistake-but this is a reminder of how all the holes of Swiss cheese can line up and lead to catastrophe."
I love the Swiss cheese holes comparison. A tasty version of the planets aligning:)
ower is so a word
i liked that phrase, too - she's an amazing kid in so many ways
fw.. just in time.. company getting up, bfast to fix.. hopw all of you have a peaceful, enjoyable Easter Sunday! till next time, poof
enjoy the day, aloy
Welki, that story is about how people make mistakes. The computers were not used correctly. The nurse ultimately should have known that the correct dose could not have been 38.5 tablets. Terrible mistake.
What happened in this instance
Every patient must know (or have an advocate that supervises) their meds, doses, and what is being given to them.
Common sense would dictate that 38.5 pills is a tad too much. Should not just blindly follow orders.
acta
Free clue!
tyvm
the mistake was that the computer calculated the dosage incorrectly - yes, the nurse should have double checked, but there was no safeguard for dosages for children less than 40kg - she was prompted and chose the correct dose. i'll re-read, but i think it was a mathematical error on the part of the computer's programming
Scrabby gives the best clues!
So the patient got the wrong dose or the correct one?
hello
But when you carry 38.5 pills over to the patient in one of those little cups, would it not make you wonder just a little bit??
#swag
true - but like voltaire said, 'common sense is not so common'
When ordering meds the computer program will ask you to override if you calculate wrong. Still, the maximum dose of Septra i typically one double strength tbalet twice daily so why the nurse would think giving 38.5 tablets is correct is the real issue.
char
agreed, scrabbs
Did the patient die?
No, bichon, but he was critically ill.
I hope the nurse got what for
Pediatric dosing is based on weight of the patient. So there might be a 500 gram premie, a 10 kg toddler, a 30 kg child, etc.
the article is written well, bichon. take a look: http://tinyurl.com/nbr3fw7
Yes, the article has much detail.
Ordering IV nutrition is also very tricky--every milliEquivalent of sodium, potassium, etc, must be calculated perfectly. Attention to detail is essential.
My youngest sister is a hospital pharmacist and she must review every order by MDs. She frequently calls docs to correct mistakes.
Do you have to calculate it yourself, or does the computer do it for you
And this happened at UCSF, of all places
I'm sending this to my d.i.l. She is a medical researcher there and has taught at the Pharmacy school
The computer is used to order and there are overrides if the wrong dose is chosen, and alerts pop up, but docs can ignore or click those away.
i think i'll send it to jillyjill - she balances medications all day long at work
hello....
hi pen
Hi penquis
snowing here.....perhaps i should not have changed my pic!
Same here.
lots of that white stuff going around today - it's accumulating here
no white stuff here, just blue stuff and yellow stuff
i don't think we are supposed to get much....but northern maine got 9 inches yesterday....
The town snowplow just roared by on my side of the street. It will come down the other side in a few minutes.
Hi Atalante and Loki and Sily
hi ata - that link to the coloring book was from herinfernalady
really, pen? wow -- when i heard from my daughter early in the day they'd only gotten 2 inches (in Orono) . . . the neverending whiteout! LOL
downeast got a lot more....northeastern part of the state...
if you look at the state of Maine, the orono/bangor area is not really in the north... ;o)....just feels like it is....
oh, ok LOL
Acadia NP is on my bucket list.
beautiful place....
Great place Scrabs and lots of lobster to boot
i live in the lobster capital area.... ;o)
yum!!
I don't like lobster, not to eat. I like to watch them though.
I haven't found a word in 10 minutes. 47 to find.
i like to eat them....and crab, scallops, shrimp, etc....
hello
Happy Easter to those who celebrate it
Hi MLFAN
ty, fan...same to you!
First column A?
ao5 and 6
think heart...
ty pen
yw...
is this grid harder then it seems ?
you may reach a stalling point....i have at 30 left...
No, it is harder than that:(
lol ty cross
pen you are doing better then I am
i just started though
stalling point: AKA: the point where you rage like a maniac, howl at the sky, and tear chunks out of your keyboard in frustration;)
um....perhaps you do, lol....i just find myself watching more tv....
Ugh. I run for my current read:)
cross this computer has enough issues i don't need to be doing anything like that to it
no tv in this room
I need a break. Maybe I will be back later. Enjoy the day, kids.
be scrab
bye
oops
i am trying to fix the wifes computer as we speak. Kid was on it last night dowloading all kinds of crap and now it is a virus infested nightmare:(
Way to go Brady!
cross then can you come fix mine?
hi hego
Takes 2-4 hours to flush a computer when it is this contaminated;(
lol, MLF
Hiya
what about malware bytes cross?:)
lol, I cannot even fire that up yet, MLF. There are viruses that disable things like malwarebytes. i must sneak in on the sides and attack when they are not looking
Hvae her computer is a safe, diagnostic mode and offline atm
sees Crosy inching along on tippy toes.
yeah we get we shouldn't do that as it is bad for the computer if you get what i mean?
2nd column O?
hubby was bitching about puter last night like its my fault or that he has no clue..ughgh
I am running a older avg anti-virus now. The new viruses often do not see older cleaning programs, and that is how I get a toe hold
cross so you mean avg works to get rid of newer stuff?
Then I will run slim,pc, then try and fire up C Cleaner, Then a variety of other programs, then finish with malwarebytes if all goes well
Some of it, MLF. It is often a case of trying different things untill you can turn over your newer virus programs
i am not going to use c cleaner since i am not that familiar with all that i need or i don't need or i am unsure at least
2nd column O?
it can be complex at times. though I am sure you do not download illegal, virus infested torrent games like my idiot offspring:(
killer whale mlf
duh ty chris
"then after all this i must do a full defrag because all the stuff i just removed will have the hard drive sectors looking like swiss cheese
ouch
is it ever a good idea to try to defrag first?
if you can that is
nbs
no, defrag will be last
Then I must run msconfig because he has all kinds of programs set to auto-start up:( thing is knocking the hell out of resources
2nd column E?
Sounds like your son needs to be busted down to a non-admin account on the computer
er 4, er 5....same first four letters...
The run registry editor because the registry is now jammed with waste kernal from deleted games:(
i had to type that in once for some reason misconfig with oth3er puter
also er 6/24...
I think you are right, molly;(
get him his own puter.. i wish we had two
ah ty pen got er 4
and i will advise everyone now; do not run Regedit unless you are very familiar with it. You can do a great deal of program damage in seconds if you click the wrong thing in there:)
never heard of it cross
My philosophy is that anyone who is old enough to have a job is old enough to buy their own computer and deal with whatever mistakes they make on it.
year ago i turned a perfectly good computer into a very expensive door stop during my learning stage with Regedit
Third column O?
ow 4/8...
i cant even navigate through this computer
i am done... :oD

crossy is the program regcure worth buying
I have not used Regcure, so I cannot say:(
I use the registry cleaner in c Cleaner for run of the mill clean-ups
ok.. ty. thats what i use to. i just ran the regcure. says i have like over 2000 issues with computer lol..
lol!
good morning, everyone
Here is an article on regcure from my go-to source for software reviews, Maximum PC Magazine..

So, the end vote is--maybe...
Best solution is to keep your very important pics and other info in a easy to access file on the desktop, save it onto a flash key and reformat the entire computer every 6 months or so:)
Heppy Easter!

achoo molly
Mixi, is that a weeping cherry tree?
yes. Took picture last week.
where's the boxes of Kleenex mixi?
pine pollen season started this week. Everything is yellow.
AR 5/10...very appropriate for today!
It's gorgeous Mixi. That is one of my favorite trees.
I don't care for emotional trees
Too much drama?
hiding in the weeping willow was a cool place to be in the summer.
yes...too much..and all that sniveling too
ta 6, please
often they have deep rooted problems
I've gone far out on a limb to help.. but alas.. not possible
The one i have is when you have shredded your clothes

:-D
<---may keep this peeps icon up a long time
I'd eat them all ruru, fast.
ah - ty - the dog/chart makes sense now -- at least the chart part does
not really a dog person -- like dogs, just don't want one
terrier?
Just as long as you don't become one of those boyz in the hood and start greeting all your peeps
was looking for an I, not an L in the name. Duh.

ah the ge + a cheer?
not seeing that ta 6/30 yet
Ru, as one of my teenage neighbors says, there is nothing worse than old white people trying to act like young black people : D
ta6 ends in cleaning cloth
or young WHITE people trying to act like young black people
thanks molly
They should all try to act like old white people. We're the rich ones.
ta6 is compound and i'm used to the words being reversed
takes me back to the 60s and 70s when we white folks all wanted to be black and cool . . .
If I was black.. I'd be a basketball player
is part of the compound Minnie Pearls hat decoration?
yes nan! :-)
yes.
FW.
i remember seeing her in the grocery and thinking it was so odd to see her in "civilian" clothes :-)
congrats milxi!
nbt
go harp!
got it finally - ty mixi
*!* ta da *!* - thanks for the help :-)
yay nan!!
guess I should post an easter icon -- will see what I can find
Une, you have the best stories. Minnie Pearl in the grocery store? I love it.
gee.. I only see winery owners in my local store ..like mrs. Robert mondavi. I did see Carlos Santana in St Helena a few weeks ago
halfway
*marks the 50% mark on harp's chart*
Oh, I'm afraid I would get that dumbstruck fan look on my face if I ever saw Carlos.
I nodded to him.. left him alone
When I see a celebrity I try to treat them like a normal person, not a god(dess). I imagine that they appreciate that.
Minnie (Sarah Cannon) lived in my part of Nashville back in the day-- just like you'd expect, she was loud and funny and very friendly to all :-)
back in a bit . . .
There are a bunch of them living in Montana. They come here because we don't care who they are.....
I was on a rafting trip with Jamie lee Curtis once.. she's a hoot
She had a T-Shirt that said "save me first! I'm famous"
we all cracked up
My only brush with fame was shaking hands with Bob Hope. He was visiting wounded troops at Bethesda Naval and one of my friends was a patient at the time. It was an honor.
there's an icon huh
The most famous person I ever met was probably Marcel Marceau. I worked as a stage hand for him. He looks pretty different off stage.....
did you put him in a box harp?
Love the t-shirt. Jamie Lee Curtis seems like she would be a good time.
lol, I kept re-ironing his clothes because they weren't smooth enough for him!
she was hysterically funny.. really a salt of the earth type person..
It's nice to hear about celebrities like that. So many of them are in love with themselves.
yes.. I think with all these people doting on you and telling you you're incredible.. it makes them go overboard on self-importance
I would hate to be a celebrity..and have to hide from people
In Montana it's more like, I don't care who you are, you have to wait in line like everyone else!
ta6/30?
good for Montana
just clued below harp
looking.... thanks
Easter egg posted -- actually worked on Fireworks Forever this time!
wow.. how did they do that nan?
no idea ru
It's the Vegreville egg (Canadian of course) Do a Google search for the very intricate details
I just knew it was there -- a lot of small prairie towns in Canada put up roadside "art" that reflected their communities a few years back (when money was more plentiful). Vegreville has a large Ukranian population.
so sort of a local yolk-el kind of thing?
You'd have to be pretty hard boiled not to love it
people in Vegreville have to come out of their shells
everyone in Vegreville scrambles for destinations
I hope no one poaches the idea
I hear the girls are over-easy
time to get ready for my day. 29 to finish later!
*remarks board for Harp's progress*
Thank you. We wouldn't want to lose track of anyone's progress
come on molly that last one was a good one
You don't really think I'm going to groan do you? I leave that to your fan girls.
well... not really
I'm actually kind of egged out. I just deviled a bunch of them. : D
wow.. i'd be a basket case if I had that many eggs
Ok an œuf is an œuf!
LOL
that was very quiche of you zooz
lol
we don't soufflé fools here
Even better!
I so want to eat that Easter egg in, molly's, icon!
<--off of chocolate now
Had too much today?
Mr Good Diet strikes again
no..it's just not agreeing with me nowadays
I have had one cadbury's creme egg..and half a packet of m&ms peanut.
I saw this horrible thing on the internet about Cadbury creme eggs deep fried in cake crumbs and Cocoa Krispies. It made me gag.
ugh
eeeew no i would not like that either..why do they always spoil things.
eww, that sounds disgusting. why do people feel the need to deep fry everything?
They even batter mars bars here.
I like chicken deep fried..that's about it
You might as well sit down with a bowl of sugar and a spoon
Ooh yes me too, Ruru.I love deep fired chicken!
fried*
I only have it once a year though
I have it about 12 times a year :-)
Fried chicken and fried shrimp are my downfall. It's a rare treat if I have either one.
oh.. you'd love the fried shrimp at Terra Molly
they're like buttah!
you guys always make me hungry..Need to find something other than chocolate now!
LOL zooz
Ah buttah. A big stick of buttah.
with buttah.. there's no margarine of error
I gave up on margarine a long time ago. I would rather have dry toast than toast with that stuff on it.
never had margarine only butter
Hello, all! Happy Easter. Did someone say buttah?
we did .. we did !!
Love buttah. Hate that margarine crap. Love olive oil too.
<---love olive oil
Even worse are those gloppy "spreads" with ingredients that make my hair curl
spreads make my hairs curl too
Frightful. I'm into coconut oil/milk now too. Divine stuff.
Har dee har : P
:D
I haven't tried Coconut milk stuff. I see it in the stores
Coconut oil is pricey here
I do the soy milk with vanilla flavoring
Bought coconut creme the other day. It's liked canned whipped creme. Outta dis world.
Which is fine with me because I can't stand the taste or smell of coconut
Ru, you really are the poster boy for healthy eating
Oh. I like coconut.. especially coconut crème pie
I need to start eating even more healthily .. I can't seem to drop more than five pounds
Are you aiming to fit into your Speedo this summer?
nope.. I'm past the speedo age now
I am getting hungry reading this
I'm more dignified than that
Probably bad timing for that comment to come after Speedo talk
there was a day I looked good in speedos.. but now.. nah
I've never been a Speedo fan
They aren't really comfortable
I think they look better on women than men
Gotta agree with Molly on that one. No one ever looked good in a Speedo. Maybe if you wore it on your head as a swim cap.
Oh great. Now I'm having Speedo head visions
*dares Ruru to post a Speedo selfie icon pic*
Stupid Enable. It allows a plural Egyptian king, but not the singular.

Ah, that is wrong too. Her name had a D in it. Short for Mrs. Thatcher then.
I'm just as happy with no speedo pictures being posted here. Things get frightening enough.
yes.. Molly can be overly sensitive at times judi.. please refrain from putting thoughts in her head
*Gnashes teeth*
So true. Ironic though. These days, the guys bathing suits are more board short style and cover up everything. And the girls/womens bathing suits seem to be getting skimpier. Quiet discouraging for those of us who aren't a size 2 (or less).
ty Molly
*quite* rather.
I always wear a one piece sun bocking suit. Hides everything
I think that's called a burkha, bichon.
LOL Judi. It covers your upper arms, shoulders and upper thighs
ra 7, pls
Like a wet suit?
Yes, but it has special sun blocking properties. Made in Australia
Interesting. Will have to look that up.
They make a whole line of them. People look at me strangely, but at least I don't burn

Ah, just carry a surfboard. No one will think twice.

what is a muni?
a municipal bus in SF

we call them munis for short

Happy Easter to those who celebrate, and happy holidays to everyone else. :-)

The winning ticket in the Irish Lottery (€10.6 Million) was sold in the shop where I bought my ticket yesterday. I almost had a heart attack as I checked my ticket..... Not me, sadly. I only hope I am fond of the winner. It would kill me if the jackpot was won by somebody I dislike!
lol...
Oh damn, so close
http://tinyurl.com/mxt6kr6
Molly - We almost made it!!
You need to go find that woman who won 34 million and is giving most of it away.
I didn't hear about her... where is she? And what is her address? I will begin my begging letter toot sweet.
She's up in the orange part of your island
And it was Euromillions not The Irish Lottery
Wow. I didn't hear about that. Generous lady!

In other news, what was your Easter feast?
Well, nobody in this house likes lamb. (Mainly because I detest the stuff, and never cook it...), so we had a lovely roast beef, roast potatoes, roasted veggies, yorkshire pudding dinner. Preceded by Dublin Bay Prawns, and followed with strawberries and cream. It was delish! How was yours?
I am not a lamb lover either. It smells funny. Mine is still in the oven. Pork roast, oven roasted new potatoes in olive oil and herbs and fresh asparagus. Strawberry shortcake for dessert. Your dinner sounds wonderful.
MMmm. I am very fond of pork. The speed with which Son of Soodle demolishes food still fascinates me. It just cannot reach his taste buds. One minute there's a full plate in front of him, and next thing .... it's gone! Mind you, he was heading off to a day at the races, and was in a hurry, but, seriously, the food couldn't have touched the sides of his gullet!
For his day at the races, he went off sporting a very bright pink shirt. His sister remarked that he must be very comfortable with his sexuality to be wearing such a pink shirt, causing much angst.....
hello dear friends, and a very blessed easter to all who celebrate same
Hey Trif. Same to you. :-)
thanks
nice babble burp!
oops....sorry...
happens to us all now and then
Thats usually my trick, Pen!
I think Pen is hitting the wine bottle harder than usual these days : D
Nip it in the bud Pen, before you start posting as multiple personalities
no i am studying chinese words.....
Studying Chinese words makes you post in blanks?
no, my finger hit the key board when i put the vocabulary card down....
studying beverage words today...
Always helps to know your drink order when visiting Chinese bars.
yes, my thoughts exactly....

Hiya!
Hello all. Just starting from here in the calm Northwest. Hope everyone has celebrate holidays joyfully.
Hi hego!
Hi stid! happy Easter
Thank you hego. We have had a very pleasant day. We dyed the eggs yesterday and my husband has helped for the past few years since the grandboys have grown up.
Nice! Hope the family is well. :)
Yes. We are in good health.
hi hego, stid...
Hi Penq
quiet here....didn't do anything special....
had stuff to do to get ready for bro's visit....studied some chinese vocab....and looked up phone info....my tracfone went through the wash!... 8o|
ouch!
yes, it appeared to be coming on after charging....but then it showed "no service"....
did you try packing it in salt?
no....just tried to air dry it...
Don't know if that works, but keep hearing it.
it's probably too late for that anyway...
now i just turned it on and it seems to be working....
too bad
well it doesn't really connect to the number....seems to be trying....
poor baby
Dropped mine in water once. Left it in a sealed bag of rice overnight. Did the trick. Now have a bag of "electronics rice" stashed in my desk for the future... :) Good luck!
and i liked my dumb phone....
try it Penq. You have nothing to lose.
hi Bash
Hi!
nice kitty!
Thanks - she's at Rainbow Bridge now, but always gives me smiles to see her funny face.
:)
thanks for the tip...
Hope the phone shapes up and behaves. No fun replacing them...
I'll be going on holiday soon with my daughter. I'd love some recommendations for books to read on the beach. Nothing too heavy, but nothing too inane either. Can anybody suggest anything suitable?
Soodle, "All the Light We Cannot See"
oh yes, WONDERFUL!!
Agreat story, beautifully written.
dinner calling....bye all!
loved it so much . . .
Hi Une.
Oooh thanks Hego. I'll add that to my Amazon account. Thank you.
hey "-))
Bye Penq.
Soodle, Une and I give it 4 stars. :)
I just ordered it on Amazon, Hego. I'll be back, wagging my finger at you if I din't like it! Lol!
It's a deal! But you will like it.
:-)
Anybody else got any suggestions? I usually go through a couple of books a day as I endure the torment of lying on a sunbed in the roasting sun all day long, with no work, no commitments, no housework.. (Poor Soodle)....!
Happy Ressurection Sunday!
And to you phan.
Soodle, did you read "The girl on the Train?
I did, Hego, and I loved it!
thinking
Good morning. Soodle - try Eddie's Bastard
That sounds interesting. :)
Ok, Lynn. I will. It sounds interesting!
Ha ha. Snap Hego!
snap!
I'm interested Soodle - why do you order from Amazon? We order most of our books from Book Depository as there is no freight cost - and Amazons can be quite hefty
I have an electronic reader. No shipping.
I order the Kindle books, Lynn. No shipping, no wait, no fuss.
aah of course!
I never thought I would like a kindle, but I love it!
(here's me, back in the dark ages)
instant gratification. :)
You can even get the first couple of chapters free to see if you like the cut of it's jib!
I use the download also, I have Kindle but can use it on my ipad, also.
and so much easier to read in bed!
I went and looked at buying one ages ago, but didn't like the feel/look of it - I should have persisted
Me too, Stid!
I have a paperwhite. It's excellent.
I only wanted it for reading purposes.
Or on my phone if I need to.
Yes. It makes bedtime reading much lighter.
Hey!!! All these booklovers should be able to populate my reading days for the next month!! C'mon guys..... Recommendations, please....
Of course, I already told folks about how I ordered "50 shades of gray" because it was about the great NOrthwest. Found the delete button pretty quickly. It was not meant for my tastes.
wow - after that chorus, I shall try again
That is so funny Stid. You told me about that when I saw you.
I also found the sample choice. That has saved me from other purchases that would have been a waste.
I tend to forget books as soon as I read them unless they're special.
Ah! The sample button has saved me a fortune!
I also read Daughter of Persia which I would recommend too - very interesting background on Iran
Soodle have you read any of Ellie Griffith's books?
On my list, Lynn
No, Hego. Are they worth reading?
I like them a lot. Good vacation reading. She is an archaeologist in England.
The main character is.
On my list!!
Amy Poehler's book "Yes Please" was really delightful :-)
and Cheryl Strayed's book Wild was fantastic (true story)
And, for the record. ... Anything by Marian Keyes is fluffy, but hugely entertaining. I recall being on a long haul flight & almost getting put off the plane for laughing out loud in the middle of the night.
:)
